- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing in with Beca Tilly and Tanya rad and iHeartRadio.
- 0:04Speaker 2: And two times People's Choice Award winning podcast.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Hello everybody, we are scrubbing it.
- 0:17Speaker 4: Oh well, stunning, thanks stunning for the eyes and ears
- 0:20Speaker 4: for us.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 0:24Speaker 5: You know we didn't talk about what that really gave
- 0:27Speaker 5: me the giggles last week. What Robbie being up on
- 0:31Speaker 5: the h my friend prank?
- 0:36Speaker 2: It was not did it make me laugh.
- 0:38Speaker 5: Like making that like when we called that, did the
- 0:40Speaker 5: calls like watching them in live action. I watched his
- 0:43Speaker 5: videos that he posted like multiple times.
- 0:45Speaker 4: We were dying laughing that you showed me them, so
- 0:49Speaker 4: I had already seen them, and then I heard Haley rewatching,
- 0:52Speaker 4: so I started watching and we were both laughing. Haley
- 0:54Speaker 4: like this is so funny.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Upper register what oh my, it's so funny.
- 1:01Speaker 2: I've watched all like, not just his, like the trend.
- 1:03Speaker 5: I'm like literally once a day I find one on
- 1:06Speaker 5: Instagram to watch because I just find them so freaky.
- 1:09Speaker 4: I actually didn't see that trend until I saw Robbie's.
- 1:13Speaker 5: I tried to do it on you twice that stuff
- 1:17Speaker 5: you didn't answer, so it made it really tough.
- 1:19Speaker 1: By the way, it's not out of character for you
- 1:21Speaker 1: to call someone in say good night. I know.
- 1:22Speaker 5: And that's what Robbie said. He's like, it's not like
- 1:24Speaker 5: it's not gonna hit the same because you would do
- 1:27Speaker 5: that normally, so it would be like.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Okay, you know, like okay, good night.
- 1:32Speaker 5: So I try to do it to Ali because like,
- 1:35Speaker 5: I feel like Ali, it's a perfect candidate. So I
- 1:39Speaker 5: call her to say good night. She doesn't answer. She
- 1:42Speaker 5: texts me, Hey, did you mean to call me? And
- 1:45Speaker 5: I said, yes, I call her back clearly she has
- 1:48Speaker 5: her phone, doesn't answer again.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Oh are you freaking kidding me?
- 1:53Speaker 5: So then I just texted it, thinking it'd be funny, said,
- 1:55Speaker 5: I was just calling say good night. And she's like,
- 1:57Speaker 5: I've seen that trend.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Oh that's too bad.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Yeah. She's like, try me earlier. I'm pregnant.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like it's eight forty five. Yeah, she's like that,
- 2:07Speaker 4: she said, after five she is like zoned out.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Yeah, dang yeah, dang.
- 2:13Speaker 5: Oh.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I also had a realization what.
- 2:17Speaker 5: I I'm constantly asking you, like stuff about your engagement.
- 2:22Speaker 5: I commented, you were like Haley was wearing white in
- 2:24Speaker 5: a photo, and I was like engagement era and I
- 2:27Speaker 5: realized I'm becoming the person that I hated when I
- 2:30Speaker 5: was waiting to get engaged, and so I'm publicly apologizing
- 2:34Speaker 5: and I will not do it anymore for a.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Future Who pointed that out to you, Robbie, Yeah, I
- 2:40Speaker 4: knew it. I was like, there's no way you realize
- 2:42Speaker 4: this on your own. Yes, No, well, Robbie. Robbie and
- 2:45Speaker 4: I areson Potico and I was like, you know what
- 2:48Speaker 4: she just I had to tell Haley, don't stress out.
- 2:50Speaker 4: She's just she she doesn't have a fixation right now,
- 2:54Speaker 4: like she already she had her wedding, like when she
- 2:56Speaker 4: gets pregnant, like that'll be her fixation.
- 2:58Speaker 2: But I'm doing meet and greets with ob It's like
- 3:00Speaker 2: that is my new fixation. By the way.
- 3:03Speaker 4: But and I told Tyl, I was like, we don't
- 3:05Speaker 4: feel pressure, so don't I know?
- 3:08Speaker 5: But that's the again, I felt the same way like
- 3:10Speaker 5: before we got engaged, there.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Was no pressure. I'm getting engaged.
- 3:16Speaker 5: No, no, no, like I like the pressure had already been
- 3:19Speaker 5: like there was no Robbie's not rattled by outside.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Right, right, and I'm not either, right. But I had
- 3:24Speaker 4: to explain. I was like, just don't, don't think too
- 3:29Speaker 4: much about Tanya's comments. She's like like, are you expecting,
- 3:33Speaker 4: like what are you saying on the podcast? I'm also like,
- 3:35Speaker 4: well you should listen. Yeah, why don't you listen to
- 3:38Speaker 4: the podcast?
- 3:39Speaker 5: But no, but yeah, he pointed out, he was like,
- 3:41Speaker 5: remember like people would always be call like anytime you
- 3:43Speaker 5: post anything, there would be like ring ring ring, ring ring, And.
- 3:45Speaker 2: I was like yes, and he's like you're that person
- 3:47Speaker 2: now and.
- 3:47Speaker 4: I like no, it's oh yeah, that's tough, but no.
- 3:52Speaker 4: And the thing is is.
- 3:52Speaker 5: Like there's anything I'll do is I'll admit when I'm wrong, Yes,
- 3:56Speaker 5: and I was wrong, and you will not be hearing
- 3:59Speaker 5: any more of that until we're actually engaged.
- 4:02Speaker 4: Yeah, publicly, thank you. Yeah, I think that that is.
- 4:08Speaker 4: I think the thing is that we are so far
- 4:12Speaker 4: from it, like we are like, oh, like trying on
- 4:15Speaker 4: rings and seeing but we did the ADU like there's
- 4:18Speaker 4: been a lot going on, so we're so not even
- 4:21Speaker 4: in that era, which is so funny because now when
- 4:22Speaker 4: I'm posting people like I keep looking for a ring,
- 4:25Speaker 4: I keep seeing the y'all are engaged or I think
- 4:26Speaker 4: this is an engagement post and I'm like, you can
- 4:29Speaker 4: just rest easy, you do easy.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Feel pressure, and that's good. The two of you don't
- 4:34Speaker 1: feel any pressure, that's great. Do you in your mind
- 4:36Speaker 1: have any do you put any kind of time, Like
- 4:39Speaker 1: when I was getting ready to propose, it's like, well,
- 4:41Speaker 1: I like to do it by this time because I'd
- 4:43Speaker 1: like to be married before, you know, she starts these
- 4:45Speaker 1: college classes, or I'd like to be married before I
- 4:47Speaker 1: turned thirty or or whatever it is. Are there any
- 4:49Speaker 1: of that in your mind calendar wise?
- 4:53Speaker 4: Okay, no, because and I think if we were like,
- 4:56Speaker 4: oh my gosh, we we know we want to have
- 4:58Speaker 4: a baby, like I'm I'm a aware of the biological
- 5:02Speaker 4: clock on that. Unfortunately, that's that's just what it is.
- 5:06Speaker 4: But we're also we're both every time we're around kids,
- 5:10Speaker 4: were like, what do we want?
- 5:14Speaker 2: So we have my brother's baby because that baby is chill. Yeah,
- 5:19Speaker 2: she's around all weekend. I was like, there's a baby around, Mike. Well,
- 5:22Speaker 2: I love.
- 5:23Speaker 4: That's the age. I love. It's when they start going
- 5:25Speaker 4: overwhelming two to six yeah, eight, yeah, But yeah, no,
- 5:33Speaker 4: I don't feel that at all. And the thing is
- 5:35Speaker 4: is like we could get engaged and then plan a
- 5:39Speaker 4: wedding for years or months, you know.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Yeah, the world is your oyster. It is, but it's
- 5:46Speaker 2: not coming from me anymore.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Dang, I can assure you that publicly, well, privately, there's
- 5:54Speaker 5: a whole other story.
- 5:56Speaker 2: There's a difference.
- 5:57Speaker 4: No, No, she here's the thing. I can respect what
- 5:59Speaker 4: she's saying. She's saying. I'm not going to put the
- 6:01Speaker 4: public pressure on you. However, my private texts and conversations
- 6:05Speaker 4: may reflected differently. Correct and as a best friend, and
- 6:10Speaker 4: when you have a best friend like Tanya, you go,
- 6:15Speaker 4: you know it comes from a special place.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Yeah, love, But she's.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Already told you that she's not gonna let you know beforehand,
- 6:20Speaker 1: which is.
- 6:21Speaker 4: Not giving up.
- 6:22Speaker 2: That's why my mind is racing. That's why when she
- 6:25Speaker 2: mentions a trip, I'm like, but.
- 6:27Speaker 1: That might be time to let them, let her have
- 6:29Speaker 1: some freedom, just kind of not bring it up for
- 6:31Speaker 1: a while.
- 6:31Speaker 4: But if I don't do it on a trip, though,
- 6:33Speaker 4: what if I do it in my newly renovated backyard.
- 6:38Speaker 2: We put a lot of money into it.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Right here? He goes, should we extend our trip? And
- 6:44Speaker 4: I was like, maybe we should just get our new place,
- 6:46Speaker 4: will be done and enjoy the fruits of our money
- 6:50Speaker 4: and labor.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Yeah, let's pop up vacations out there.
- 6:54Speaker 4: I really during the renovation my front yard got like
- 6:57Speaker 4: all my grasses dead and all the stuff that to
- 7:00Speaker 4: redo it, and I kind of want to like learn
- 7:01Speaker 4: how to garden what you actual garden.
- 7:05Speaker 5: Like like lettuces and and liked, by the way, that's
- 7:11Speaker 5: not a like a known term what gardening. Robbie sat
- 7:16Speaker 5: in the Facebook group. He took a screenshot because somebody
- 7:18Speaker 5: asked him if he was gardening, and he's like, what
- 7:20Speaker 5: does this mean?
- 7:22Speaker 2: Not like a known term?
- 7:25Speaker 4: I mean maybe just depends on your algorithm. You know
- 7:28Speaker 4: what you're doing when you're gardening. But no, I'm talking
- 7:30Speaker 4: them like planting.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Flowers, flowers, not like food.
- 7:34Speaker 4: No Cool wants to like little.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Gems like some art chokes.
- 7:41Speaker 4: Hailey really wants to have that one day. But I'm
- 7:43Speaker 4: mostly talking about like visual garden digging and soiling that I'm.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Not so interested in.
- 7:50Speaker 5: But if you want to get some little gems and
- 7:51Speaker 5: art chokes in there, I'd be happy to help. Corn
- 7:58Speaker 5: My gosh, summer twenty six is only homegrown grilled WM.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Well we're dumping ahead, yeah, okay, we have some dear bonia,
- 8:06Speaker 4: so you.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Know, I will say not as many as usual those
- 8:09Speaker 1: kind of a light week people.
- 8:10Speaker 2: That's okay, we can do a quickie.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Uh Instagram at scrubbing inpod. The email is scrubbing it
- 8:17Speaker 1: at iHeartMedia dot com. Keep the flow flowing. From anonymous. Hello,
- 8:23Speaker 1: everyone loved the podcast and the whole gang. I wanted
- 8:25Speaker 1: to reach out and get some advice. I've been with
- 8:27Speaker 1: my girlfriend for seven years, and she recently told me
- 8:30Speaker 1: she wants a break. She's in her mid twenties and
- 8:33Speaker 1: I'm in my early thirties. She has been wanting to
- 8:35Speaker 1: be more independent, try things on her own, and find herself.
- 8:38Speaker 1: She wants to go out on her own to events
- 8:39Speaker 1: and with friends. She says she feels guilty because I've
- 8:42Speaker 1: asked about going. It just feels crazy to think we
- 8:45Speaker 1: were talking about getting engaged and now she's saying she
- 8:47Speaker 1: needs a break. I don't know how long yet. We
- 8:49Speaker 1: will talk about it, but it hurts already, like a
- 8:52Speaker 1: pre breakup. I think I'm trying to prepare myself, But
- 8:54Speaker 1: what would you do during this grief?
- 8:58Speaker 4: First of all, that's very hard, and I'm sorry that's
- 9:02Speaker 4: I can't. I cannot. I can't even imagine celebrating seven
- 9:07Speaker 4: years and then tell me she wants a break like
- 9:10Speaker 4: I would be devastated. So I'm really sorry, y'all you're
- 9:14Speaker 4: going through this. She's also in her mid twenties and
- 9:18Speaker 4: is probably going through a because mid twenties, so that
- 9:22Speaker 4: means y'all get together when she was pretty young.
- 9:24Speaker 1: It seems eighteen if you're in math. If it's twenty five,
- 9:27Speaker 1: that is fast.
- 9:31Speaker 4: And so I'm sure she's feeling a lot of realizing
- 9:35Speaker 4: she hasn't had her independent time as an adult on
- 9:38Speaker 4: her own. And I think it's very i personally, and
- 9:42Speaker 4: this is to each his own, but I think having
- 9:44Speaker 4: that time to yourself is so crucial. And I also
- 9:48Speaker 4: think that having a break doesn't necessarily mean a breakup.
- 9:51Speaker 4: But I do think how you handle what I do
- 9:55Speaker 4: think how you handle.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Hot handle eyes and began taking all close off no,
- 10:01Speaker 1: because I mean, I'm.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Hot and sweaty and I'm pissed at this this email.
- 10:05Speaker 4: Okay, why to me?
- 10:07Speaker 5: It's so selfish? A break is basically this is what
- 10:12Speaker 5: a break is. It's I want to have fun and
- 10:15Speaker 5: do my own thing, but I know I have a
- 10:16Speaker 5: really great thing going. I don't want you to go
- 10:18Speaker 5: too far. It's selfish, and it's a cop out a break.
- 10:22Speaker 5: I can see after a year, maybe a year and
- 10:24Speaker 5: a half, after seven years with someone to say I
- 10:26Speaker 5: want to break No.
- 10:28Speaker 4: I think when you're when you start dating at eighteen
- 10:30Speaker 4: and then your mid twenties and you realize you haven't
- 10:32Speaker 4: had your independence, especially.
- 10:34Speaker 2: All break up.
- 10:35Speaker 5: Also breakup your independence and do your own thing, and
- 10:38Speaker 5: then if you happen to come back together, then you can.
- 10:41Speaker 2: But it's so celebration.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Versus a divorce. It's like, you want to selfish. I
- 10:46Speaker 4: don't think it's. I then, in my opinion, it's okay
- 10:49Speaker 4: for her to be selfish. I think it's okay to
- 10:51Speaker 4: be selfish when you're trying to make sure that this
- 10:53Speaker 4: is the person you want to be with.
- 10:54Speaker 5: Yeah, it's okay, and you're selfish for yourself, not in
- 10:57Speaker 5: a relationship.
- 10:58Speaker 2: I think that's a compromise.
- 11:01Speaker 4: I think, especially when it's two women, there's this assumption
- 11:04Speaker 4: that everyone goes to everything and there's not the separation
- 11:08Speaker 4: of like, hey, I'm going to go be with my friends.
- 11:09Speaker 4: Because when you when it's a girl thing, we're both women,
- 11:12Speaker 4: so we both really feel invited, and we're both normally
- 11:16Speaker 4: invited and so there has to be a separation of like,
- 11:18Speaker 4: these are my friends and I need time alone with
- 11:20Speaker 4: them without you, and that is.
- 11:23Speaker 2: You can do that without going on a break.
- 11:25Speaker 4: I'm saying, though it sounds like she's never had that,
- 11:27Speaker 4: and I think what she's looking for because they're talking
- 11:30Speaker 4: about getting engaged, she probably had a moment of being like,
- 11:33Speaker 4: I don't even know who I am without this person,
- 11:35Speaker 4: Like I need to be able to make sure that
- 11:37Speaker 4: this is what I want before I commit to an engagement.
- 11:40Speaker 4: I'd rather her be selfish, do what she needs to do,
- 11:43Speaker 4: have a break knowing that her person's amazing, but also
- 11:46Speaker 4: going I need to explore this for me, and then
- 11:50Speaker 4: seeing where she feels how things feel. But I think
- 11:53Speaker 4: anonymous for you, even though it's hurtful, I think you
- 11:56Speaker 4: give her the space to do it, and you also
- 11:59Speaker 4: do your own thing and and let her be. And
- 12:02Speaker 4: I think what's going to happen is she is going
- 12:05Speaker 4: to realize how wonderful you are. I remember, was it
- 12:08Speaker 4: you were Easton talking about how there was a moment
- 12:10Speaker 4: where it was like, what's the alternative of not being Yeah?
- 12:13Speaker 4: And it's like she might have that moment of going
- 12:15Speaker 4: this alternative, This alternate version of my life without you
- 12:19Speaker 4: is something I never want to experience. Or it might
- 12:22Speaker 4: be that, hey, I I'm older now, I've I'm figuring
- 12:27Speaker 4: out who I am, and I don't know if I
- 12:28Speaker 4: see us you being my person forever.
- 12:32Speaker 2: But you would rather that.
- 12:34Speaker 4: Than go through with getting engaged and then married and
- 12:38Speaker 4: then it happening.
- 12:38Speaker 1: And also the engagement might have fired up a lot
- 12:40Speaker 1: of these thoughts that the engagement talk might have also
- 12:43Speaker 1: scared her a little bit, like, oh gosh, I've been
- 12:45Speaker 1: with this person my whole life, an independent Sorry, Tony
- 12:47Speaker 1: Beck is right.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Person all it's gonna be true.
- 12:52Speaker 5: Have you heard the new Jonah Joe Jonas album I'm
- 12:55Speaker 5: Getting to be.
- 12:59Speaker 2: So we both can be right? Thank you very much.
- 13:01Speaker 5: But to me, this is selfish. I don't like it.
- 13:04Speaker 5: I don't like what she's saying. I don't like it.
- 13:06Speaker 5: I don't like stringing someone along while you go out
- 13:09Speaker 5: and have your fun and have that person just waiting there.
- 13:12Speaker 2: So I don't like it.
- 13:13Speaker 4: I think if she didn't, I don't think she's stringing
- 13:16Speaker 4: her along. I think she's giving her too.
- 13:20Speaker 2: I think she literally would.
- 13:21Speaker 4: I think she's communicating what she needs right now before
- 13:24Speaker 4: they move to the next up of their relationship.
- 13:26Speaker 1: And the happy ending still exists. Yeah, but you might
- 13:29Speaker 1: not want to put all your eggs in that basket
- 13:31Speaker 1: because you need to focus on yourself, have fun, on
- 13:34Speaker 1: your own yes, and explore who you are without them.
- 13:37Speaker 4: I think this could be a beautiful moment where you
- 13:39Speaker 4: both discover an independence that probably has gotten lost in
- 13:42Speaker 4: the last seven years. And there's going to be hard moments.
- 13:46Speaker 4: But I also and I don't think that I agree.
- 13:48Speaker 4: I don't think break taking a break means that she
- 13:51Speaker 4: needs to go and sleep around and meet other people.
- 13:53Speaker 4: I think there needs to be clear communication on what
- 13:56Speaker 4: the worst.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Anonymous should go out and hang around.
- 13:59Speaker 4: And well, no, I'm saying I don't think that's what
- 14:01Speaker 4: she her girls.
- 14:03Speaker 2: That's not what the girlfriend wants. She wants to have
- 14:05Speaker 2: her cake and eat it too.
- 14:06Speaker 4: I'm saying, I don't think she's saying she wants to
- 14:08Speaker 4: go do that exactly.
- 14:10Speaker 2: She wants to have her cake and eat it too.
- 14:13Speaker 5: Does it have her independence but know that Anonymous is
- 14:15Speaker 5: going to be right there when she's ready to be
- 14:17Speaker 5: done with her independence.
- 14:18Speaker 4: Well, I'm saying they should have clear boundaries on what
- 14:22Speaker 4: independence looks like.
- 14:23Speaker 5: Or whatever anonymous should if it's going to be a break,
- 14:27Speaker 5: we are, we are breaking.
- 14:29Speaker 4: Well that's what they need to have a conversation about.
- 14:32Speaker 4: Either you have a conversation and say I don't. I
- 14:35Speaker 4: need to know what the boundaries are for a break
- 14:38Speaker 4: versus a breakup, because those can get very fuzzy and
- 14:43Speaker 4: in the weeds, as we've seen on our beloved show
- 14:45Speaker 4: friends Ross and Rachel. And you don't want to hurt
- 14:50Speaker 4: get hurt or hurt her by not communicating that. So
- 14:53Speaker 4: I think you need to give her what she needs,
- 14:55Speaker 4: but also ask for clear communication on what that looks like.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Sure, good advice.
- 15:02Speaker 4: Wow, thank you so much. We do have a wait,
- 15:07Speaker 4: what's the update on the boudoir photos.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Well, we're gonna find out.
- 15:11Speaker 4: Oh we haven't. Someone wants an update on the boudoir photos.
- 15:14Speaker 4: Scare but we'll get to that one. We're back, all right.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Mark Kaylee says I needed an update reaction from Tanya
- 15:48Speaker 3: telling Robbie the story of their son trying to connect
- 15:51Speaker 3: to the TV while they were looking at the Boudoir photos,
- 15:55Speaker 3: listening to old episodes and just roaring at this one
- 15:58Speaker 3: love a day one scrubber.
- 16:01Speaker 5: I obviously when I gave him the photo album, I
- 16:07Speaker 5: can't remember. It probably wasn't our wedding dance. That was
- 16:09Speaker 5: probably one of the days after. But I told him
- 16:12Speaker 5: the story of how we were all up in the
- 16:13Speaker 5: room and had clouded it to the TV and I
- 16:16Speaker 5: told him how it said like connecting to his iPhone
- 16:19Speaker 5: or whatever, and he remembers it. So he remembers it vividly,
- 16:23Speaker 5: and he was like cracking up. Nothing actually happened. There
- 16:27Speaker 5: was no photos that were transferred over anywhere, so we
- 16:31Speaker 5: are in the clear.
- 16:31Speaker 2: The coast is fine. But yeah, he got a good
- 16:34Speaker 2: giggle out of it.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Nice. Yeah, And this is a good time to remind
- 16:37Speaker 1: everyone that iHeartRadio is still banned from using Dropbox because
- 16:40Speaker 1: of time. You're ad in a similar situation.
- 16:42Speaker 4: Listen, she leaves her mark everywhere she goes.
- 16:46Speaker 5: That's right, a legacy, She's a legend, indeed, Yes, no
- 16:50Speaker 5: qualms about it.
- 16:51Speaker 1: No, no, Sierra says, I'm about to in twenty seven,
- 16:54Speaker 1: I would love nothing more than to find my person.
- 16:56Speaker 1: I've resonated with how Tanya felt over the years of
- 16:58Speaker 1: waiting to find her person and doing what what ever
- 17:00Speaker 1: it takes. To get there. So I'm taking a page
- 17:02Speaker 1: out of her book and putting myself out there. If
- 17:04Speaker 1: you guys know anyone in the New York area who
- 17:06Speaker 1: would be interested, let me know. I made a post
- 17:08Speaker 1: in the Facebook group two years ago seeing if anyone
- 17:10Speaker 1: had someone they think would be a good fit. Since
- 17:12Speaker 1: my mom used to be scared of me on dating apps,
- 17:15Speaker 1: she has sent warm to the idea, but she still
- 17:17Speaker 1: thinks I'm likely to find my person through a friend referral.
- 17:20Speaker 1: I figured you guys were great friends to ask love
- 17:22Speaker 1: you all lost a hopeless romantic scrub sister.
- 17:27Speaker 5: So I guess what we need to do is if
- 17:29Speaker 5: anybody here that lives in the Greater New York area
- 17:33Speaker 5: and they have a single friend that is twenty seven
- 17:37Speaker 5: plus around twenty seven. She didn't say younger or older,
- 17:41Speaker 5: so around the age of twenty seven. Email I'm going
- 17:44Speaker 5: thirty three, twenty six to thirty three.
- 17:47Speaker 1: I think thirty three is where she'd like to end.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Up with someone. Thirty three.
- 17:50Speaker 5: Yeah, Well we're not ages here, so we're going to
- 17:54Speaker 5: give a swinging.
- 17:55Speaker 1: I've always said the guys don't really mature until they're
- 17:57Speaker 1: thirty three, six years older. It's very fast math sonya
- 18:04Speaker 1: thank you.
- 18:05Speaker 4: I okay. So I was with one of my single
- 18:07Speaker 4: friends over the weekend and she was on her date.
- 18:10Speaker 4: She was on I think it was Hinge and I
- 18:13Speaker 4: haven't seen the app or I haven't looked at a
- 18:16Speaker 4: dating app in so long, and it's so interesting, like
- 18:19Speaker 4: the prompts now, like all the pictures and like the
- 18:21Speaker 4: question prompts and like you kind have a voice memo
- 18:24Speaker 4: on there. It was these people that are on dating
- 18:29Speaker 4: apps right now are in the trenches. She was like this,
- 18:34Speaker 4: this is what it's like. And I thought, I always
- 18:37Speaker 4: hear people talking about it, and I'm like they're being
- 18:40Speaker 4: a little dramatic, like it can't be that bad. It
- 18:42Speaker 4: sounded really bad from what the brief thing I heard.
- 18:46Speaker 4: So I am really rooting for you, Sierra that you
- 18:49Speaker 4: meet through a friend referral.
- 18:51Speaker 2: But I know I love a dating app.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Yeah, but that was nearly five years ago.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 18:58Speaker 4: I think it's gotten bad, yeah, worse.
- 19:01Speaker 5: I mean, here's the thing where her mom scared her
- 19:03Speaker 5: because she said she could be like chopped up or something.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Oh why don't she say.
- 19:08Speaker 4: Chopped us scared of her big un dating prefer for
- 19:11Speaker 4: her to meet someone through a.
- 19:12Speaker 5: Frien to get chopped up, saying I'm going to get
- 19:14Speaker 5: chopped up, and she'd prefer I met, say right here
- 19:17Speaker 5: and next.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Well, that's in the posto years.
- 19:19Speaker 5: So I understand the scare because there's like weirdos out there.
- 19:22Speaker 5: But if you just have fine my tell everybody where
- 19:24Speaker 5: you're going, have your friends do life three sixty.
- 19:27Speaker 4: I do think if you're the thing, if you're on
- 19:30Speaker 4: the dating apps, I do think if you're going on
- 19:32Speaker 4: dates regularly or going out, I do think life through
- 19:35Speaker 4: sixty might be the way to go.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Thank you. And again, by the.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Way, I was interviewing potential interns for the morning show
- 19:42Speaker 1: at Kiss and so it's a bunch of you know,
- 19:45Speaker 1: they're all nineteen twenty years old, and one of the
- 19:47Speaker 1: questions I asked them was about dating apps. Are you
- 19:49Speaker 1: on them? It wasn't contingent. I was just trying to
- 19:51Speaker 1: get an idea of their life, and most of them said,
- 19:53Speaker 1: I am on the dating apps more as a spectator
- 19:56Speaker 1: than an active participant, which that is interesting. It's almost
- 19:58Speaker 1: like when you're twenty, it's almost automatic that you would
- 20:01Speaker 1: have it and that you would have a profile on
- 20:03Speaker 1: it right insta Insta, but you don't really spend a
- 20:07Speaker 1: lot of time on it. You just kind of look
- 20:09Speaker 1: through it every once in a while. It doesn't seem
- 20:10Speaker 1: like people are really pursuing that, but it's kind of
- 20:12Speaker 1: standard to have it. Yeah, I thought that was interesting.
- 20:14Speaker 4: They were saying, I've read somewhere that like it's just
- 20:17Speaker 4: so not normal, Like people will be sitting in a
- 20:19Speaker 4: doctor's office waiting to go at the waiting room and
- 20:21Speaker 4: just swiping on people, And how weird that is that
- 20:25Speaker 4: that's how you're to connect. I mean, yeah, that's it's
- 20:28Speaker 4: so easy and at your fingertips. But Sierra will.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Be yeah, good luck. All right, this is anonymous. I'm
- 20:40Speaker 1: a little embarrassed to be writing this, but I know
- 20:41Speaker 1: what happens to girls all over. I need advice. I
- 20:44Speaker 1: am almost twenty nine years old. I am sitting on
- 20:46Speaker 1: my couch on Memorial Day weekend, sobbing over a man
- 20:49Speaker 1: who could not care less about me. This is a
- 20:51Speaker 1: wake up call and I need to move on, which
- 20:53Speaker 1: is easier said than done. What tips, tricks, ideas do
- 20:56Speaker 1: you have to help me move on? I want to
- 20:57Speaker 1: find myself again. Please don't suggest a girl night. I
- 21:00Speaker 1: have friends, but not a ton, and they're busy often,
- 21:03Speaker 1: so I really want ideas that I can do for
- 21:05Speaker 1: myself this summer. I'm a teacher and I only work
- 21:08Speaker 1: it up part time job doing the summer, so I
- 21:10Speaker 1: have time. Please help a broken hearted girl out. I
- 21:13Speaker 1: don't feel I don't want to feel like this anymore.
- 21:15Speaker 2: I have a quick suggestion.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Is it corn? Because I would go with you. It's
- 21:19Speaker 1: roasted corn.
- 21:20Speaker 2: No, Mark, I'm.
- 21:21Speaker 5: Taking this seriously for anonymous. All right, there's this like
- 21:26Speaker 5: TikTok trend right now that's like the ten ten ten whatever.
- 21:31Speaker 2: I have been doing it, but I've been doing five
- 21:32Speaker 2: five five.
- 21:33Speaker 4: What is it? Explain it to those who don't know.
- 21:35Speaker 5: So for those that don't know, I'm up on the trends.
- 21:38Speaker 5: It's five things you're grateful for, five things that you
- 21:41Speaker 5: want to manifest in five affirmations. And I do it
- 21:44Speaker 5: every single day. And this like I got like a little.
- 21:46Speaker 4: Wide for the five minute Journal.
- 21:48Speaker 2: No, it's a journal.
- 21:49Speaker 5: It's like a journal, like a why it's like a
- 21:51Speaker 5: it's a it's like a notebook you'd buy for school
- 21:53Speaker 5: for kids.
- 21:54Speaker 4: I know that five minute journal. Those are the prompts.
- 21:56Speaker 2: No, so this is not the five Minute Journal.
- 21:58Speaker 4: It sounds like they just took it from the well there's.
- 22:01Speaker 2: A ten ten ten.
- 22:02Speaker 5: I just chopped it down because ten felt like a
- 22:04Speaker 5: lot for me. So I'm doing five, five, five, and
- 22:06Speaker 5: I've been doing it every single day. I think I
- 22:08Speaker 5: started May twenty first, and I had not let a
- 22:12Speaker 5: day go by without doing it. And I'm loving it.
- 22:15Speaker 5: I'm already feeling like a shift in my mood, a
- 22:18Speaker 5: shift in my spirit.
- 22:20Speaker 2: I love it.
- 22:20Speaker 5: I think it's something easy that you could do on
- 22:22Speaker 5: a daily basis to kind of get you into a
- 22:24Speaker 5: different headspace.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Five things you want to manifest every day. That seems
- 22:27Speaker 1: like a lot you can.
- 22:28Speaker 5: Repeat, you know, to do five different things you want
- 22:31Speaker 5: to manifest, but different iterations of it. And like things
- 22:33Speaker 5: pop up daily that like when I do things I'm
- 22:35Speaker 5: grateful for, Like the day after we got our coffee machine,
- 22:37Speaker 5: I was so grateful for my new coffee machine, you
- 22:39Speaker 5: know what I mean? Yeah, Like things pop up daily.
- 22:41Speaker 1: I when to get rid of it. You're gonna be
- 22:42Speaker 1: grateful to have the space.
- 22:43Speaker 5: Pace back exactly exactly, but the grateful for you would
- 22:46Speaker 5: be surprised how many things you're grateful for when you're
- 22:48Speaker 5: doing five a day.
- 22:50Speaker 4: I I feel like I was thinking about Becca Moore
- 22:53Speaker 4: because she has been very public in posting about her breakup,
- 22:58Speaker 4: and she really started leaning in because she was so sad,
- 23:03Speaker 4: and she started leaning into making herself better. So she
- 23:06Speaker 4: started going to like workout classes, and she she was
- 23:09Speaker 4: never someone who liked workout classes, so she was very
- 23:12Speaker 4: intimidated by it at first. And so she started doing that,
- 23:15Speaker 4: and then she started taking acting classes, and because she
- 23:18Speaker 4: had always thought about wanting to do that and just
- 23:20Speaker 4: never felt inspired or like motivated enough to do it.
- 23:25Speaker 4: And it's something that she's just like love that's brought
- 23:28Speaker 4: so many new people into her life. So I was
- 23:30Speaker 4: gonna say, maybe find something that you've always wanted to
- 23:33Speaker 4: do and lean into it. I was also I see
- 23:35Speaker 4: people like fostering dogs and cats, like just for the day,
- 23:38Speaker 4: taking them on walks and giving them a day out
- 23:40Speaker 4: of the what the foster?
- 23:43Speaker 2: Yeah yeah yeah.
- 23:44Speaker 4: And I also.
- 23:45Speaker 5: Think decluttering and cleaning your house, like decluttering every single
- 23:49Speaker 5: corner of your house, making space, like cleaning out space
- 23:52Speaker 5: in your closet, leaving space for your future.
- 23:54Speaker 2: Has been leaving space for your.
- 23:56Speaker 5: Like leaving a drawer for them, like get like allowing
- 23:59Speaker 5: space in your place new love to come in that
- 24:01Speaker 5: could be very therapeutic.
- 24:02Speaker 2: That really was therapeutic for me.
- 24:04Speaker 4: But your email immediately made me think of Kate Winslet
- 24:09Speaker 4: in The Holiday when she loves the guy from work
- 24:12Speaker 4: and he just basically uses her to help him write
- 24:15Speaker 4: or do work stuff, and then she's having to get
- 24:19Speaker 4: over this person that never had love for her. And
- 24:23Speaker 4: then she goes and she does the house swap and
- 24:27Speaker 4: does something totally out of her comfort zone and ends
- 24:30Speaker 4: up making like these lifelong friendships and whatever. But it
- 24:33Speaker 4: made me feel like how she had to do something
- 24:36Speaker 4: really uncomfortable to find like the best part of her life,
- 24:40Speaker 4: you know, the best season of her life. So just
- 24:42Speaker 4: to remind her that it might feel uncomfortable to do
- 24:45Speaker 4: new things and try new things, but it could lead
- 24:47Speaker 4: you to the best people or parts of your life
- 24:51Speaker 4: that are to come.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Amen, preach, all right, we have a fun one coming
- 24:57Speaker 1: up next.
- 25:19Speaker 4: All right, we are back. We love to end with
- 25:21Speaker 4: a fun write in.
- 25:25Speaker 1: This is from Annie. This is very funny. Hello, Becka, Tanya,
- 25:28Speaker 1: Mark and East and I saw this fun video where
- 25:30Speaker 1: they were talking about things that are embarrassing that really
- 25:32Speaker 1: shouldn't be embarrassing, and I thought it would be fun
- 25:35Speaker 1: to hear what you all find to be embarrassing that
- 25:37Speaker 1: shouldn't be. I feel like Becha will be able to
- 25:38Speaker 1: relate to this one. But I think Tanya owns everything
- 25:41Speaker 1: she does and doesn't get embarrassed. Mine is when my
- 25:44Speaker 1: windshield wipers are on high, especially if it's that rating
- 25:47Speaker 1: too hard in my car only has two settings, super
- 25:49Speaker 1: slow and super fast, and I feel like an idiot.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Some others are being sung Happy Birthday too, trying to
- 25:58Speaker 1: find the bathroom in a restaurant hunt, turning around and
- 26:01Speaker 1: walking back in the direction you just came from, or
- 26:04Speaker 1: walking back to your seat after taking your turn. It bowling.
- 26:07Speaker 4: I literally was gonna say the bowling one.
- 26:09Speaker 6: I hate that feeling because it's like, even if you
- 26:14Speaker 6: get a strike, you turn around and everyone's either no
- 26:17Speaker 6: one's paying attention because everyone's talking to each other, or
- 26:20Speaker 6: they're like yeah, and it's.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Just either way all chord.
- 26:23Speaker 4: There's an awkward element to it. Also, like when you're
- 26:27Speaker 4: in a big group and you don't know where anyone parks,
- 26:30Speaker 4: so everyone says bye and then everyone starts walking the
- 26:32Speaker 4: same way. I'm just like we just did a whole
- 26:35Speaker 4: hug everyone. Do I hug them again?
- 26:41Speaker 2: I don't find any of this embarrassing.
- 26:42Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what she said. It's like you don't experience
- 26:46Speaker 4: this feeling.
- 26:46Speaker 2: I don't think I do. I'm trying to think, like
- 26:48Speaker 2: on my daily.
- 26:49Speaker 4: When people seeing happy birthday to me, I really feel
- 26:52Speaker 4: that too. I get that.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't mind that. I think tany and are
- 26:55Speaker 1: similar like that. Like I'm the one that doesn't care
- 26:57Speaker 1: what anybody thinks for my wife and my daughters very
- 26:59Speaker 1: much care with other people think as much as I
- 27:01Speaker 1: preach to them. How silly that is. But there is
- 27:03Speaker 1: something that happened this morning, and so we have a
- 27:06Speaker 1: couple of bathroom options here on this end of the hallway.
- 27:09Speaker 1: One of them is just a single bathroom, and I
- 27:11Speaker 1: prefer that one because I don't like to be in
- 27:12Speaker 1: a room with other people doing their business, right But
- 27:16Speaker 1: that's not working right now. So I have to be
- 27:17Speaker 1: in the room with other people doing their business, and
- 27:19Speaker 1: there is always someone in there doing their business, and
- 27:21Speaker 1: it drives me crazy.
- 27:22Speaker 4: It's crazy.
- 27:23Speaker 1: It's crazy. I was this is this morning. I was
- 27:25Speaker 1: one hundred percent. Every time I went in there, somebody was.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Every time I'm in there to stand, someone else is
- 27:30Speaker 1: in there to sit, and you can hear everything and
- 27:33Speaker 1: it's so awkward. But here's what was awkward to me today.
- 27:37Speaker 1: I was washing my hands after standing, and the guy
- 27:41Speaker 1: that was sitting comes out of the bathroom and wants
- 27:43Speaker 1: to talk to me, like, I don't want to talk
- 27:45Speaker 1: to you. I heard you doing those things. I am
- 27:48Speaker 1: so embarrassed right now, and I don't even know why
- 27:51Speaker 1: I'm not. You're doing the embarrassing thing I'm not, and
- 27:54Speaker 1: yet I am mortified. I don't want to be here
- 27:57Speaker 1: talking to you right now.
- 27:59Speaker 4: I would feel absolutely uncomfortable myself. Tanya, unfortunately, would be
- 28:05Speaker 4: the one trying to talk after doing the things with Probably.
- 28:09Speaker 5: True if somebody is in my stall and uh no, no, no,
- 28:16Speaker 5: if somebody's in my stall that I like to use
- 28:18Speaker 5: in the rest, even if they're even if they're doing
- 28:21Speaker 5: their business, I will wait for that stall to open
- 28:24Speaker 5: because it's my stall.
- 28:26Speaker 1: How many stalls are in there, Sure they feel very
- 28:27Speaker 1: awkward standing there.
- 28:31Speaker 4: You probably stare through the cracks like stare. They probably
- 28:35Speaker 4: just see her like one eye staring to the crowd. Also,
- 28:38Speaker 4: did you know other countries like people that come to America,
- 28:41Speaker 4: they say that the the space in our bathroom is
- 28:44Speaker 4: like so strange, like, but why do we have this?
- 28:48Speaker 1: I don't know. They're right, it's ludicrous.
- 28:50Speaker 4: And sometimes they're really wide. I'm like, I could see
- 28:52Speaker 4: someone's whole body show.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Some airports don't even have doors on those things. Like,
- 28:59Speaker 1: it's really unpleasant.
- 29:01Speaker 4: We the women's restaurant typically.
- 29:07Speaker 1: There. But so wait a second. How many stalls are
- 29:10Speaker 1: in that bathroom? Four and the only one you will.
- 29:13Speaker 2: Use unless yes, why it's my favorite?
- 29:16Speaker 1: Is it the big one? Is it the big Handicaan stall?
- 29:18Speaker 2: The very first one to the left.
- 29:20Speaker 1: But what's wrong with the other ones?
- 29:24Speaker 5: Usually the trash cans are like locked, or there's like
- 29:28Speaker 5: p on the seats. There's little trash cans in every
- 29:31Speaker 5: stall for us that there are tampons and feminine products
- 29:34Speaker 5: the way, thank you very much. A lot of them
- 29:35Speaker 5: are locked, so it's annoying. So it's like slide your
- 29:38Speaker 5: stuff through. It's very uncomfortable. I just like that one.
- 29:42Speaker 1: But but wouldn't wouldn't it be more polite to just
- 29:45Speaker 1: use another one rather than stand there and the person
- 29:47Speaker 1: knows you're standing there waiting for them. I was in
- 29:50Speaker 1: the stall, be like, what is wrong with this person?
- 29:52Speaker 1: There are three other empty stalls. I'd be so annoyed.
- 29:56Speaker 4: Oh, I thought of another one. Walking, you know in
- 29:58Speaker 4: your movie theaters is like you don't have a your
- 30:02Speaker 4: the exits on the other side, so you have to
- 30:04Speaker 4: walk in for the whole theater. I hate that.
- 30:08Speaker 2: But you have to do it.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Yeah, you do.
- 30:10Speaker 4: And it's not cozy because.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Like even when you have to get up and sneak
- 30:15Speaker 1: past people on an airplane, or.
- 30:18Speaker 4: Like at a at a stadium where you're like need
- 30:21Speaker 4: to chair and you have to ask everyone and either
- 30:24Speaker 4: they have to stand up or turn to the side,
- 30:26Speaker 4: and then you have to decide am I going front
- 30:28Speaker 4: or back to their face?
- 30:30Speaker 1: My jingles are my butt in your face? Which is
- 30:32Speaker 1: going to be yeah, but always but the.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Rule, I think that's what I uctually do. I don't know.
- 30:41Speaker 4: Yeah, I.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Don't like being on elevators with people.
- 30:49Speaker 4: Yeah, but that's awkward.
- 30:50Speaker 1: It's awkward. Weird conversation or which is also awkward. It's
- 30:55Speaker 1: all awkward. If I get here in the morning and
- 30:59Speaker 1: I park and I see somebody else parking that I
- 31:01Speaker 1: know is on the fifth floor where we are, I
- 31:04Speaker 1: do everything I can to get to that elevator enough
- 31:07Speaker 1: before them that I don't have to hold the door
- 31:10Speaker 1: because they will head to the stairs. If they head
- 31:12Speaker 1: to the elevator, I'll go to the stairs and I'll
- 31:14Speaker 1: sprint because I do not want to go off the elevator.
- 31:18Speaker 4: With that, I think they're more like me and Nanny
- 31:20Speaker 4: than your Yeah, I like that, man. I could probably
- 31:29Speaker 4: think of a lot of those live we.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Do live, try and live unapologetically.
- 31:35Speaker 4: It's still unapologetically anyways. That's all for today, folks, but
