- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Could be seeing some thunderstorms today.
- 0:01SPEAKER_01: That's a possibility.
- 0:02SPEAKER_01: Uh what time though?
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: Because here's the thing.
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: Around launch time.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's fine.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: That's totally fine.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's great.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: Totally fine.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Well, I told you yesterday that I'm having one of our corporate people at my house tonight and I wanted to grill out steaks.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: Oh, you should be okay.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: I think it'll start tapering off by then.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: Good.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: And I didn't I haven't even set this up with him yet.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: But my thought was for him to get to the house kind of kind of early.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: I don't know what time he works till.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: I mean, when you're in corporate, like, do you actually have hours?
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: I'm not really sure.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: But anyway, so I I was thinking, oh, get to my house early.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: That way we can at least take advantage of back deck, porch sits, best view of corning.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: You know, sure.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: All before we eat dinner and all that.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: Um, I would expect him not before 5 36 o'clock.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: Oh, God.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: I'm one of those people.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: I am a blue hair.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: I like to eat dinner at five o'clock.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: I I think that, you know, because obviously when when corporate friends visit, uh-huh, uh, there's a lot of meetings.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: Thank God not with us.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: Although last week I had my dose of them.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: He even said he goes, You guys have a lot of meetings here.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: I'm like, yeah, too many.
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: I had a sales girl tell me recently, oh, well, I'm gonna meet with so-and-so if you want to.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: I said, No.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: No.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: No, that's your job.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: I will come in when needed.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: I don't need to go to every meeting.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: I agree.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: I hate meetings.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: Do you guys hate meetings as much as I hate meetings?
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: Because I freaking I think, you know, for me, it's a when necessary thing.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: Like you're describing.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: I don't need to just be there.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: You don't need my face there just because you're meeting with the person.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: Unless I'm introducing, here's the exception of the rule.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: If I'm introducing you to somebody that I know better than you, okay.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: And how rude am I if I, once we get that first part out of the way, is it rude then to go, you know what?
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna leave the rest of the meeting to you guys.
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: No, that actually is fine.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: You handle it just like this.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: I wanted to get, I wanted to come along to get you guys introduced and have you guys connect for a few minutes.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm heavily booked today, but I wanted to make sure that you guys are together and that uh it was things off right.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: Can't we leave it besides me saying, Oh, I'm heavily booked, can't we just leave it at now you guys connect?
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: No, you can, but that's don't let me be a I don't want to be a wedge, so I'm gonna leave you two to for you guys to actually talk.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: You can, but it's like when you're setting up a it adds icing to the cake.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: That's all I'm saying.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but you know it's like when you're setting up a first date.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: You know, when Zach and I got set up, we were set up by our friend Ashley.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: And I think the right thing for her to do, which she did, is like, oh, here's here's Zach, Zach, here's Allie.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: And then she kind of now go slips away.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: Oh now.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: Oh, I saw my friend over here.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: I gotta, I gotta go, I gotta go talk to her.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: I saw my friend over here is the same as saying I wanted to make sure you two got you know, that's all it is.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's a little less jolting to just see you disappear.
- 2:51SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: Like inching your way back.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: And I don't think it's rude.
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: Softening in that.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: That's all.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: I think it really opens up the opportunity.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: Can I share a theory with you on something?
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: Now, you guys can either prove me wrong or you can go, you know, maybe you're maybe you're right on this.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: This is not my disdain for pumpkin spice.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: I want to take off that train.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: Off that train.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: If you go back six, seven years ago when pumpkin spice, in my opinion, was at its highest peak.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: I mean, it was at a you it was it was so nauseating that it was in everything and constantly talked about.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: And you know, you're like checks, the toilet paper.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: It was just so like and and of course, I still argue the fact I'm like Do you like how I went from checks to toilet paper?
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, right.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: I I still argue the fact that like I think this would be better served to not hit until October 1st and be gone by November 1st.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: That's been your stance for years.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: For years, but of course, it's out in August 16th and it's around until it runs out the middle of November, then Peppermint gets a second, you know, uh second fiddle to it.
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: But listen to this according to delish.com, and I may not be alone on this if they're putting this out there, the pumpkin spice latte is losing ground this fall, and they say dropping from the top searched seasonal drink in 48 states.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: I haven't even had one yet this year, and it's already it's been out a month, and I have not drank not a one.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: It was the most searched drink in 48 states in 2024.
- 4:18SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: A couple years ago.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: And just three states this year that it's in the top search.
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: Here's my theory on this.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: What's up?
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: And I want to see if you think that maybe maybe I finally cracked through.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: Uh, so it wasn't uh it wasn't a very hot summer.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: We had a spell of it early.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: We had a really, really hot week, like one really hot week.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 4:41SPEAKER_01: So not a super hot summer.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: And uh I I think that in it's been wet, and I mean, I I think I I've already told you, I think this is gonna be a rough fall/slash winter.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: I just have this feeling.
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: I smelled fall the other day for the first time.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: And I think we're dreading getting back into the cold months.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: There's a difference between the cuddle months.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: Cuddle months are September, October, early November.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: Best months.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: Cold months are late November, December, January, February, March, sometimes April.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: You see the difference between them.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: Cuddle and cold months.
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: And I think that we are dreading getting back into the cold months, just maybe a subconscious thought, but this is my theory on one why pumpkin spice is not at the top of the peak right now.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: I even think of what I'm wearing today, and it usually the outfits are the it's the lead and also the activities.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: But uh when I'm wearing today, because I'm trying to keep summer as long as I possibly can.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: I'm wearing something that it's like a summery skirt, it's like a two-piece little number, and it's because I'm just not ready to give it up yet.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: I I had a great summer.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: We did all the time.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: Oh, you guys were yeah, you guys were slam jammed, but right, but it still was can I hold on to that?
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: And that's the other part of it, too, is I think people want to just hold on to what and I know Labor Day came very late, but it just But we never had like we never had the dog days of summer, like that was the you know, August normally is a month where I mean it's sweltering.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: Well, it seems like summer came late, so Labor Day also late.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: So so right now I'm still like uh can I can I still hold summer's hand?
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: It's behind me, I'm looking forward.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: And I it's not that I don't want to do the pumpkin patches, it's not that I don't want to do the apple picking.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: I do want to do all of those things.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: I'm still totally good with doing all those things in the world.
- 6:27SPEAKER_01: Would you like two extra weeks though between now and uh when Halloween hits, like somewhere because Halloween will be here in four minutes?
- 6:34SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 6:34SPEAKER_01: And it's like I we're almost to the end of September.
- 6:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:38SPEAKER_01: And I thought September just started like five days ago.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: Like it, like what?
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: And uh as far as the like specifically the pumpkin spice thing, for some reason, I've just had a shift.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: I it's not that I hate it, but it's not something that I'm running towards anymore.
- 6:54SPEAKER_01: Well, that's a huge drop from 2024 to 2026.
- 6:57SPEAKER_01: 48 states, top search drink, now just three.
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: I'm telling you, my theory is I think because we had not a crap summer, but it just wasn't one of those ones.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: And if you remember, we didn't exactly have the warmest of winters last year.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: You know what I think it is?
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: I think it's because every weekend in the summer was so great.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: You don't want that to end.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: There was a rarely a weekend that it was not beautiful and sunny.
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, did it rain during the week?
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: For sure.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: But I think that we'd want to keep it because it just gives us such a good feeling.
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: I mean, that's a possibility.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: I'll I'll read your text here on this in a minute.
