- 0:00Speaker 1: I was going on as Romeo. We made it back
- 0:01for Memorial Day weekend and we talked a little bit
- 0:04about the cars that we drove as kids. Man, they
- 0:06were just death traps. We it was wild. What you
- 0:10order when you're dating on the first date, the food
- 0:13you order, what does that say about you? And things
- 0:15you have in a junk drawer. We all have junk drawers.
- 0:17What kind of crazy things you got in? And let's
- 0:18get going. Are we talking about buying your kid their
- 0:21first card? Sixteen?
- 0:22Speaker 2: Right?
- 0:23Speaker 1: And there are people out there that have been calling me,
- 0:25have been saying that, no, you're spoiling your kid. You
- 0:28shouldn't be buying them a car. You should make them
- 0:30pay for it themselves. Oh my god, get over yourself.
- 0:34Buy your kid the best possible thing you can afford,
- 0:36and be good to your kid. What if you got
- 0:40a good kid, What if you got a kid that
- 0:42really is responsible in handling their business at sixteen, seventeen,
- 0:47eighteen in high school? Why would you not help them
- 0:51succeed in life? You're basically not helping them. Come on, hew,
- 0:55what's going on?
- 0:56Speaker 3: Hey? Yeah, supposedly no. I think that it has to
- 1:04do a lot with parenting skills when I was I,
- 1:08you know, in my younger age. My parents are straight
- 1:12out Mexicans, you know, and they feel like, no, you
- 1:16gotta learn, you know, what it is to pay for
- 1:18bills and pay for this. And I had to drop
- 1:21out of college because I couldn't afford college. I couldn't
- 1:23afford my car, I couldn't afford my conscience all at
- 1:25the same time.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Yeah, and there's a lot of people that had to
- 1:29do that.
- 1:30Speaker 4: No, Yeah, like.
- 1:33Speaker 1: You, I'm with you. Your parents failed you.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Yes, and I and I feel like I sell them
- 1:40because I couldn't keep up with everything.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Yeah, but they made you. They guilted you into making
- 1:45you feel like you did that. You didn't do anything wrong.
- 1:47They failed you, And then more people would understand the
- 1:50possibilities of setting your kids off on the right track
- 1:54instead of trying to make them into something. Oh, I'm sorry.
- 1:57I would tell your mom and dad. I'm sorry you
- 1:59guys had to, but there's no way you shouldn't have
- 2:03helped your child succeed in any way possible.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Yes, I feel the same way. So re me and
- 2:11my husband with my kids, we're telling them all we
- 2:14want you guys do is you know right now, graduate
- 2:17high school, you know, and we're paying for her cell phone.
- 2:22We're gonna pay for her car to go to college.
- 2:24Speaker 5: You know.
- 2:24Speaker 3: We're not gonna get her like, oh my god, there's
- 2:26an expensive car.
- 2:27Speaker 1: But you know something, something you can afford.
- 2:29Speaker 3: It's not gonna hurt. She afford. And she could get
- 2:31back and forth to and we told her, if you
- 2:34like to get a part time job just for your
- 2:36own little things that you want to be getting, that's
- 2:38up to you.
- 2:39Speaker 1: All right, here's the deal. I gotta jump. Put your
- 2:41parents in the worst home you could possibly find when
- 2:44they get old enough.
- 2:44Speaker 6: Okay, oh my god, Robo, No.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Already four two five four or seven to seven eight, Romeo.
- 2:51If a kid wants a car at sixteen years old,
- 2:53then he will learn the responsibility and everything that comes
- 2:56with owning a car. At sixteen years old. He's just sixteen.
- 2:59He's still in school. He doesn't need a car. The
- 3:02school provides bus rides for free. He just wants a
- 3:05car to be cool in high school and on the weekends.
- 3:09Tell me what a sixteen year old needs a car for,
- 3:13because he's sixteen, and it's not about being cool, it's
- 3:19about having a little bit of freedom. Once you get
- 3:21your first car, you have that little bit of freedom
- 3:26to learn to grow in this world. Okay, So I
- 3:31don't know what kind of I don't know what the
- 3:33hell's wrong with you, but yeah, you're you. You need help.
- 3:37I hope you're not raising kids. Hey, good morning Romeo. Hey,
- 3:42my eighteen year old son is a senior in high school.
- 3:45He just got his driver's license. I got him a
- 3:48dependable two thousand and two Toyota Camry gas saver so
- 3:52he can get to school and his internship at a
- 3:55local technologic technology company. Plus he will be heading as well.
- 4:00I have Ingray, I have ingraved or engraved in him.
- 4:06The worst thing to do is buy a car and
- 4:08make payments plus insurance. I've showed him how expensive it
- 4:12is and how important it is to save money and
- 4:15get a college degree and everything will align in the future.
- 4:19I'm here to guide my kids, not hand them everything. Well,
- 4:23you just handed them a brand new car. I mean,
- 4:25are two thousand and two, But there's nothing wrong with that.
- 4:29You're not anybody who says buying their kid a car
- 4:34is an idiot or spoiling them is spoiling them. You're
- 4:37an idiot. I mean, if I go, if you go
- 4:39buy your kid a car, you know, a brand new
- 4:42Mercedes g Wagon that you're making payments on, not spoiling them.
- 4:46But if you're buying them something you can afford, that's reliable,
- 4:51that's just helping your kid out. Why are you parents
- 4:55so opposed to helping your kids out? What is wrong
- 4:59with you people? That's just despicable. Why would you not
- 5:05want to help your kids through life, you know, especially
- 5:11at such a young age. Okay, if your kid's forty
- 5:15and you're still you know, paying all their bills, and
- 5:18maybe we need to reevaluate, reevaluate what's going on. But
- 5:23at sixteen, seventeen, eighteen high school wanting to go to
- 5:27college and you're still not helping them. You're trying to
- 5:30throw them to the wolves because last how we grow up.
- 5:33That makes them a man. No, it doesn't. That girl
- 5:36just called her parents threw her to the wolves and
- 5:38she failed. When her parents sounded like her parents had
- 5:42the ability to help her succeed. Her parents should be
- 5:47embarrassed by the way they what they did to their child.
- 5:51You guys are not very bright. It's a good thing.
- 5:55I'm here to explain to you, guys, how to raise
- 5:57your kids, because you're doing a horrible job. Funny way,
- 6:00talking about buying a kid a car at sixteen. Some
- 6:02people out there believe that these kids need to work
- 6:04for it. Some people believe that it's spoiling them if
- 6:07you buy them one. I think both of you are wrong.
- 6:11All right, good Mory the hell? What's going on?
- 6:13Speaker 2: Yeah, what's going on? Not much. I was just wanting
- 6:18to quick forget my input in on the not.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Having that car. Absolutely, what do you got?
- 6:23Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 6:24Speaker 5: Well for us, when I didn't mind having a broken
- 6:28down car and it was actually used to be.
- 6:30Speaker 6: My mom's arrow start, she had no problem.
- 6:34Speaker 5: At all loading it up to me, knowing that right,
- 6:36how I drive, one come kind to drive. I think
- 6:41I hit a few curves and I come back. She
- 6:45didn't really mind, and he understood that I was learning
- 6:49how to drive at the same time.
- 6:51Speaker 2: And there's a lot of a lot of things that
- 6:52could come good.
- 6:53Speaker 5: From actually just letting them learn themselves. I'm making sure
- 6:59they don't get arrowd cars taking away like I didn't want.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Yeah, there's nothing worse to you having a car and
- 7:06then they're taking away from you as a punishment all right.
- 7:11Speaker 5: Acually when I grew up having broken down part myself
- 7:15because she understood that it's not having.
- 7:18Speaker 2: A nice car.
- 7:19Speaker 5: That average is about getting from point to point B
- 7:23and that's it.
- 7:24Speaker 1: All right, man, thanks for going. I appreciate it. Yeah, yeah,
- 7:27the responsibility of it. There's a responsibility of having a
- 7:30car already four two, five, four, seven seven. If we're
- 7:33talking about buying your kid his first car, her first
- 7:36car sixteen, right, A lot of you out there is like, no, man,
- 7:39they're spoiling them. No man, you got to make them
- 7:41work for it and pay for it all this. Why
- 7:44if you buy him the best you can and move forward,
- 7:49then how it's going on? What a man?
- 7:53Speaker 2: Oh nothing. I don't think it's called spoiling your child.
- 7:58For me, I tell a lot of my kids, I
- 8:00don't reward failure. So as long as you're in school
- 8:04doing what you have to do straight a's doing your
- 8:08choy around the house without we have to remind you,
- 8:11I'm going to reward you. My daughter's fifteen this year.
- 8:14She's been in principal to list, tying the roads things.
- 8:16Speaker 1: List her entire school career.
- 8:20Speaker 2: So yes, when she turned sixteen and she's still doing
- 8:23the same thing. I'm going to get her a car.
- 8:25That's not only my child that's rewarding her for her success.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Well, what is wrong with these people who are texting
- 8:31and calling and saying these idiotic things about their kids.
- 8:35It's just kids don't deserve, kids don't need, kids don't
- 8:39What is wrong with these people?
- 8:43Speaker 2: I would say my understanding this, they didn't have anything
- 8:46growing up, their parents didn't do it, so they feel, hey,
- 8:49I'm going to do my kids that way. They have
- 8:51to work for something one way. To me, at the
- 8:55end of the day, that makes your kids resent you
- 8:57after growing up.
- 8:58Speaker 1: And it sets them up for failure. Yeah, yeah, all right, man,
- 9:03I appreciate the phone call. Thanks for calling me. Man,
- 9:07why would you set your kids up for failure? Already?
- 9:10Four two five four seven to seven year old orod
- 9:12My parents let us use a spare car to go
- 9:14to school, but if we graduated high school, they bought
- 9:17us one. Okay, all right, but you got there you
- 9:20had a car to go back and forth. So let's
- 9:22be none wrong with that. Already four two to five,
- 9:24four or is seven to seven? We've been talking about,
- 9:27you know, buying your kid at sixteen their first car.
- 9:31There's some clowns out there that keep texting me and
- 9:33telling me, no, you shouldn't do it. A kid doesn't
- 9:35need a car, No, he needs to buy it himself. Yeah,
- 9:37you're gonna put a kid at sixteen who wants a
- 9:41car in the hole and possibly fail in his education
- 9:46because he wants to work to have a car. Why
- 9:49would you do that? Why wouldn't you make life a
- 9:50little easier for your child? Why are you guys always
- 9:53trust Well that's how I did it. Well, Okay, I
- 9:58get it unfortunate for you, but don't do that to
- 10:00your kid. Won't you give them the best chance to succeed?
- 10:05To know what's going on?
- 10:06Speaker 2: Good morning?
- 10:07Speaker 1: Hey what a man?
- 10:09Speaker 4: Hey man?
- 10:09Speaker 2: People for that are talking back by buying.
- 10:11Speaker 6: A kid a car and you know they don't even
- 10:13buying up for the bell.
- 10:15Speaker 2: That's what it is.
- 10:16Speaker 1: You don't think you think so? You don't think they're
- 10:18just being selfish.
- 10:20Speaker 6: Yeah, it's being confident just because they kind of working.
- 10:22Speaker 2: For their kids. You know, they want to justify some
- 10:24type of way.
- 10:27Speaker 6: Okay, I'm looking at it.
- 10:29Speaker 1: You want to be right about that? I don't really know,
- 10:31but just the idea I mean even if you, let's say,
- 10:34you can't afford a car for your kid, shouldn't you
- 10:36want to be able to afford one as a good
- 10:38parent to go? You know what, I got a good kid. Man.
- 10:41Life is struggling for us. But you know what, man,
- 10:42I got to figure out something, or at least I
- 10:44want to not just try to make some justification to
- 10:47make yourself feel better than No. Man, they're gonna work for.
- 10:50Speaker 6: Like I did.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Well, No, I guess most definitely, most definitely. You know
- 10:55you got to show the kids what the fire things
- 10:57in life are. Yeah, I can keep working for them.
- 11:00Speaker 1: All right, Man, I appreciate the car. Thanks brother playing
- 11:03already fourteen by four seven to seven. Oh, this is
- 11:06this guy. I don't care if he's on Honorable student
- 11:09road at sixteen years old. The school still provides a
- 11:12bus to get them from point A to point B,
- 11:15and don't need to be driving anywhere at sixteen plus.
- 11:18If they give him a car, who's gonna pump gas
- 11:20for him? Where's who's paying the insurance for him? Who's
- 11:23gonna fix repairs if the car breaks down? A sixteen
- 11:26year old don't need a car. Yeah, you're just an idiot.
- 11:31I don't even I can't even fight stupidity. I don't
- 11:33even know how to deal with stupidity. You know all
- 11:37that stuff. Here's the problem that you guys don't understand. Okay,
- 11:43you can take care of your kids at sixteen, seventeen, eighteen,
- 11:48until they graduate college at twenty three and still teach
- 11:51them responsibility, still teach them how to be a good person,
- 11:55teach them all of those things without putting him without
- 11:59setting him up for failure. When should your kid get
- 12:04a car?
- 12:04Speaker 4: Then?
- 12:05Speaker 1: So what you're saying is, well, sixteen, a kid don't
- 12:08need a car, So we're just gonna wait till he's
- 12:09what eighteen, and then now he doesn't know what to
- 12:14do at all. He has no idea how to take
- 12:16care of a car. He doesn't know about insurance, he
- 12:18doesn't know about gas, he doesn't know about maintenance. Because
- 12:23you're too pathetic of a parent to buy him a
- 12:26car and go through that process with them. Yeah, boy,
- 12:31Like I said, man, I hope you don't have kids
- 12:34live from the just wing at studios. I do want
- 12:38to say. What happened is Memorial Day. It was a
- 12:40Memorial Day weekend, so you know the kids are out
- 12:43of school and everybody's hanging out. Well, one of my neighbors,
- 12:49he's a kid, he's sixteen. I think he's sixteen or seventeen,
- 12:51something like that. Well, one of his friends comes over
- 12:55and it's parked out in front of his house and
- 12:59it's leaking. His car is leaking something. Now he's got
- 13:02an older car, but it's leaking something. So i'm He
- 13:05comes over, knocks on the door. Hey, Roam, can you
- 13:07help me out. My buddy's car's leaking. My dad's not here,
- 13:10you know, he doesn't know what to do. So I
- 13:12go out and I look at it, and it wasn't
- 13:14anything too complicated. It was just h He had a
- 13:18hose leaking from his power steering and he goes, I go, well,
- 13:25let me drive it and see what's happened. You can
- 13:27tell it's making a noise of power steering, and I go,
- 13:30you got your power steering it's leaking. He says, oh, yeah,
- 13:32we just had that fixed. He goes, I actually have
- 13:34a bottle of power steering fluid here in my car,
- 13:37so we fill it up. I go, you could probably
- 13:39drive it home, but I wouldn't drive it too far, right,
- 13:42So The funny part about him was the he was upset,
- 13:47you know, he was worried about it. He was kind
- 13:49of upset. It's his car. Man, he's a young kid.
- 13:50He's that's his car. And I was laughing, and I go,
- 13:54you kids don't even understand. When we were kids, that
- 13:57was common. We didn't have have nice new cars like
- 14:02these kids get today when they get their first car.
- 14:04I said. We all rode around me, all my friends.
- 14:09We either had a had had had a quart of
- 14:11oil in the car with us, or jug of water
- 14:14or fluid for the for the power steering. That was
- 14:18just common. Our parents sent us out in death traps.
- 14:24They did not send us out in these nice fancy
- 14:27cars that had air conditioning and power steering and all
- 14:31these different things that cars have, you know, a GPS
- 14:36and electronic sensoring and whatever the case may be. We
- 14:39never had that, you know. I remember having a car.
- 14:45At one point I had to at least keep two
- 14:48jugs of water with me just in case so when
- 14:52overheat because the water pump wasn't working. And you just
- 14:57that's what she did. I would. I mean, I felt
- 15:01bad for the kid because he was all upset his
- 15:03car was messed up. But I mean it wasn't that
- 15:06big of a deal, to be honest with you. It
- 15:08was just a host They fixed it, but I mean
- 15:11it was just it's just funny though the scene this
- 15:16play out when that was common for us. That was
- 15:20no matter where we were, no matter where we went.
- 15:23You know, your dad would send you out with two
- 15:25quarts of oil and say check the oil. You got
- 15:28to make sure the oil. Every you know, so and
- 15:30so checked the oil. Make sure you got oil. And
- 15:32here's a couple of qurts. You just put it in
- 15:34when you need it, or power steering fluid or something
- 15:38cool it because the radiator leaked or something. It was
- 15:41always something. I mean, you guys know what I'm talking about, right.
- 15:47It just seems like back in the day, man, our
- 15:49parents didn't care. I don't know if they cared or
- 15:51they couldn't afford I don't know what it was. But
- 15:53it was no big deal rolling around with power steering
- 15:57fluid to put it in your car when it needed
- 15:59it was not a big deal. Already four two four,
- 16:04seven to seven. So we were talking about cars, man.
- 16:07Back in the day, you know, we had cars. One
- 16:09of the neighbor kids. His buddy's car was having was
- 16:13leaking some steering power steering fluid, right, So the kid
- 16:18was carrying it with him. His dad told him to
- 16:20carry it with him, you know, just in case. And
- 16:22so it was leaking and we ended up so we
- 16:25were laughing because he was a little upset about it,
- 16:28and because that's just the way it was when we
- 16:31were kids. Man, you always carried something just in case.
- 16:33A lot of us had cars that we had to
- 16:35carry oil or water or some sort of fluid to
- 16:39put in it if it went down, or because there
- 16:42was a leak or something that, you know, And that's
- 16:45just was life already. Four two four seven to seven
- 16:50eight Romeo, It's funny that you say that there was
- 16:54a time when I was a kid when my starter
- 16:57didn't work. So my dad told me just always back
- 17:02in or park on a hill until we can get
- 17:05the money to get you a new starter. So every
- 17:08time I went somewhere, I would have to back in
- 17:10so I could push start it, or park on a
- 17:12hill so I could push start the car. It was great,
- 17:17it was great. I mean, that's just what that was life, man,
- 17:22that was life. These kids today have no clue because
- 17:25They all want these fancy cars that are brand new
- 17:28and got everything in them, and if you break down,
- 17:31somebody shows up and fix it, or they don't break down. Actually,
- 17:35but that's the back in the day, that's what you did.
- 17:38You had a car that had something wrong with it,
- 17:42and you know, I mean Bernie and oil was the worst.
- 17:44You always used to have to drive around with a
- 17:45couple of courts of oil on you, just in case
- 17:50these kids will never know, oh what I mean.
- 17:54Speaker 7: So when I turned eighteen, my dad gave me a
- 17:58nineteen two NTV Moms.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Of Man, Man and not have.
- 18:10Speaker 6: You shouldn't get the reverse on, so all you had
- 18:12was just drive and neutral.
- 18:15Speaker 1: And your dad knew this rightnew that He used to
- 18:19tell me he make sure no one parks in front
- 18:22of me.
- 18:23Speaker 4: You guys would have to be pushing it back.
- 18:27Speaker 7: And then he gives me a box of fuses and
- 18:31she's like, he's I guess the heads up anish A
- 18:36feel sometimes goes off. So let me just tell you
- 18:41it was a death trap.
- 18:44Speaker 6: The one of the best cars I ever owned.
- 18:47Speaker 4: Man had great times in that.
- 18:49Speaker 1: How awesome is that that parents used to send their
- 18:52kids out in straight death traps with with parts.
- 18:58Speaker 7: How didn't you be like and if you're really really
- 19:01in trouble, call me.
- 19:05Speaker 4: That only really really.
- 19:09Speaker 1: We're talking about these cars that we drove back when
- 19:12we were kids. We're death traps. Man. We always had
- 19:14to carry something with us oil, power, steering fluid, water
- 19:19so they wouldn't overheat. Well, one of the neighborhood kids,
- 19:22his buddy's car was leaking power, steering fluid, and his
- 19:25dad told him they knew it, but the kid kind
- 19:27of was freaked out about it. I was like, no, man,
- 19:29that was just when we were your age. That was regular, common,
- 19:33common practice. You roll out with whatever parts you need
- 19:38when you're driving your car. Our parents just sent us
- 19:41out in some of the worst of the worst. They
- 19:43didn't care already. Fourteen five four seven to seven Eggle
- 19:47morning Rome.
- 19:48Speaker 4: Uh.
- 19:49Speaker 1: I remember my first car was a nineteen ninety Geo Storm,
- 19:52ugly as hell stick shift. No one taught me how
- 19:54to drive it. It's uh it uh drive it. It
- 19:58sat there for months. I only got up one day
- 20:01tell myself how to drive it. Okay, So what does
- 20:03that have to do with the what we're talking about,
- 20:05the fact that you used to have to carry something
- 20:07with you, whether it be power steering fluid or oil,
- 20:11or talking about the fact that the cars we drove,
- 20:15our first cars, you know, I used to have to
- 20:18carry blake brake fluid with mine because my master cylinder
- 20:23was always jacked up or something. Yeah, it was. It
- 20:26was good times, man already four two, five, four or
- 20:29seven to seven. So yesterday one of the neighbor kids,
- 20:33he comes over because his friend's cars leaking power steering fluid,
- 20:37and he says, hey, Rom his dad wasn't home, so
- 20:39he just came over to ask me to help him out.
- 20:42And I go over and look at it. Yeah, it's
- 20:44leaking too something. One of the one of the one
- 20:47of the hoses were leaking, and I go, so we
- 20:52need some power steering flute. Well, the kid had it.
- 20:54He said, yeah. My dad said that there might be
- 20:56something wrong with it. But the kid was kind of
- 20:57freaked out about it, right, And I was like, nah, man,
- 20:59that's just everyday occurrence. When we were kids, we we
- 21:02every day occurrence. We rolled out whenever we left the house.
- 21:06Our dad made sure that we either had water, oil,
- 21:11power steering brake fluid, I mean something. Our cars were
- 21:15not perfect at all, not even close. You know, you
- 21:19heard the last dude say that he had to roll
- 21:20out with his car. Or sometimes you'd have to park
- 21:23a certain way because your car might not the starter
- 21:25might not work, and you have to push start it
- 21:27every time something. So it was no big deal already.
- 21:32Four two five four seven to seven, yo Roam. I'm
- 21:36adding a bottle of power steering fluid to my work truck.
- 21:39Every other day. I keep a new bottle in the
- 21:43truck always exactly. I mean, that's just that's just what
- 21:48you did, man. That was part of owning a car.
- 21:51I mean, your kids today are kind of spoiled. You
- 21:53got cars that work fine, and you don't have to
- 21:55do anything us start them. You know, Oh my god,
- 21:58if you didn't have you guys probably didn't know this,
- 22:00but cars didn't air conditioning. That used to be an upgrade, yo.
- 22:06Speaker 3: Rome.
- 22:06Speaker 1: My first car was a ninety two Caprice Classic. I
- 22:09used to have to carry any freeze because I had
- 22:11a leak and when I traveled far to LA or something,
- 22:15I needed one one on the way, one on the
- 22:18way there, one on the way back to keep the
- 22:20car from overheating. Three years strong, buying Nanny Freeze exactly, la.
- 22:28I remember, and I haven't seen this in a long time.
- 22:31You guys don't, probably don't remember this. The Grapevine used
- 22:35to have water tanks where you could stop and put
- 22:40water in your car so it didn't overheat, or when
- 22:43they were overheating the grape Vine. I don't see him anymore,
- 22:47but yeah, the Grapevine used to have these big water
- 22:50tanks along the side of the road where you could
- 22:53stop and put water in your car so it didn't overheat.
- 22:57Text me here, hey, roam. My uncle had an old buick.
- 23:01It had tags, but it had a short in the
- 23:03battery post wires, and he let us use it. But
- 23:07if we didn't remember to take the post off the battery,
- 23:11it'll die. So we had to always carry jumper cables
- 23:14with us. And then I remember I was I was
- 23:17at my friend's house in his insurance person came over. Oh,
- 23:22his insurance person came over and parked the and parked
- 23:25in the driveway. She came out. We heard her start
- 23:30her car, but she sat there for ten minutes. She
- 23:32said no reverse, so she stuck. She stuck her feet
- 23:37out and started to push the car backwards. We all
- 23:41got in, pushed her car out of the driveway. We asked,
- 23:44what have it? She said, the reverse never worked? So
- 23:47I said you, I said, why, you just didn't park
- 23:51park out on the street by the curves so you
- 23:54didn't have to back up, back up. But she did
- 23:58what she had to do. That's pretty buddy, that's really well.
- 24:04That's just how you rolled back in the day.
- 24:06Speaker 6: Man.
- 24:08Speaker 1: You you wanted a car, you didn't care what was
- 24:11wrong with it. You figured out how to make it work. Man,
- 24:13alrighty four two, five, four, seven to seven. Hey, rom
- 24:17the grapevine still has the water tanks on the side
- 24:19of the road. If you're overheating any Dad, I haven't.
- 24:22I guess I haven't paid attention. Worrian hot what's going
- 24:24on through me?
- 24:26Speaker 6: Every car that I ever owned up until a responsible
- 24:29adult has been a bucket. Well, okay, I remember I
- 24:34used to have. One of my first vehicles was FPN.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I had one of those. Those things were.
- 24:39Speaker 6: Junk, junk okay that the driver's side door would not shut.
- 24:43Sometimes it was locked and you had to drive with
- 24:47your hand out the door holding the door shut. Jesus
- 24:52imagine on the freeway driving like this, and it was
- 24:56and My parents knew about it too. The window didn't
- 24:59roll down.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Yeah, Piers didn't care.
- 25:01Speaker 6: It was a struggle, but you know, we were so
- 25:04eager to want to drive that we didn't care. And
- 25:07I not until I understood, you get what you paid for.
- 25:10Most of these cars we bought were juice vehicles, someone
- 25:14of the Alsi's charms. We thought we got a good
- 25:16deal for fifteen hundred dollars. Really it was a piece
- 25:19of junk. Absolutely right now, he wants an Audi or
- 25:24a Range Rover. I said, dude, you must not want
- 25:26to drive. We're gonna be We're gonna be saving for
- 25:31this for the rest of your life.
- 25:33Speaker 1: You know, that's hilarious.
- 25:35Speaker 6: But he's waiting. He's waiting, so we hold out that. Yeah,
- 25:39good riding the bus. So he's right, second year of
- 25:41college riding the bus.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Well good later early fourteen four seven to seven roam.
- 25:51They still have the water tanks. Uh there am uh oh.
- 25:55I'm a truck driver. I used one like last year.
- 25:59My semi overheated. I didn't know that. I remember, I
- 26:02remember seeing the water truck, the water tanks on the Grapevine.
- 26:06I don't remember seeing him anymore, maybe because my cars
- 26:08don't ever heat now, so maybe that's what it is.
- 26:10I will tell you a funny story about going over
- 26:12the grapevine. This is the story for those of you
- 26:15that don't know, and a lot of you younger guys
- 26:18won't know this. The grapevine used to be a conversation
- 26:24when you were traveling from up north and coming down
- 26:28to La. The grapevine was a conversation about Okay, are
- 26:33we gonna make it over? Or is the car gonna
- 26:35go over heat? It wasn't as easy as it is
- 26:38today now. Maybe for you folks in Bakersfield it was
- 26:41always easy, but it was not. I remember a buddy
- 26:45of mine, he owned You guys don't even know what
- 26:48a you go is, look it up, Google it, you go.
- 26:53He had a you go and we were having the
- 26:56conversation as we were coming through Bakersfield, are we gonna
- 26:59make it over the grapevine? In this thing? Is it
- 27:02gonna overheat? I mean, a yugo was literally a couple
- 27:06of rubber bands and you wound it up and it went.
- 27:09We made it over, though I think we did have
- 27:12to stop for water. Though I think that did happen already.
- 27:15Fourteen five four or seven seven, we drove buckets, and
- 27:19let's just be honest, when we were sixteen seventeen years old,
- 27:22we drove death traps. Man, it was just not They
- 27:26were not safe, but our parents didn't care. They showed
- 27:28us how to fix it. I remember what you send
- 27:32me here, a roe. Vice scripts were my universal window
- 27:34handled exactly. Remember when vice scripts were what you used. Remember,
- 27:38I don't know if you know. I had a friend
- 27:39that started his car with a screwdriver. I have a
- 27:44buddy whose dad took a roll of quarters and taped
- 27:50them under the gas pedal so he could only go
- 27:53a certain speed. He couldn't go over a certain speed
- 27:56because those quarters, a stack of quarters. I don't even
- 28:02know who comes up with that. Already board for seven seven, Romeo,
- 28:09did you know that the grapevine is not the whole
- 28:11is not the whole entire hill. The grapevine is only
- 28:15at the bottom when you start climbing it. But but
- 28:19we call it, But I too, call it the grapevine.
- 28:22Oh what's the what's the hill called? I've always just
- 28:25we always just called it the grapevine. Oh nope, I
- 28:28did not know that. That's interesting. All I found out
- 28:32also fun fact that what did the girl the one
- 28:37of the girls at the at the at the Menudo
- 28:40cookoff told me she knows a lot of fun facts.
- 28:42I asked her what her fun fact was, and it
- 28:43was that penguins. Female penguins apparently are like prostitutes because
- 28:50and this is real, it's not a joke. Apparently, they
- 28:53they put pebbles, and they put pebbles in front of
- 28:56them to entice the male penguins. For some reason, penguins
- 29:00want pebbles. I don't know. Anyway, google it see if
- 29:03she's lying. I didn't, Hey, Roam, My dad was a mechanic,
- 29:06and I remember going up the Grapevine in the nineties.
- 29:09My mom and dad both pray. So the car went
- 29:13over eat. I was like, aren't you a mechanic? Did
- 29:21you send me here? Hey, Rome, I want to ask
- 29:24you about this girl I went out on date with
- 29:26last night. It was our first date. I took her
- 29:29to a spot. She ordered the most expensive thing on
- 29:34the menu. Well, what was the most expensive thing on
- 29:37the menu. I mean, if you took her to McDonald's,
- 29:40that's different than if you took her to a steakhouse.
- 29:42So shorted the lobster which she ordered anyway, So she
- 29:47ordered the most expensive thing on the menu and an appetizer.
- 29:51I was just curious, do you think that's a red
- 29:52flag considering our first date? And she wanted me to
- 29:56pay for it? Um? No? Well yes and no. And
- 30:02the reason I say that as this is because one
- 30:05where did you take her? How much was the most
- 30:07expensive thing on the menu? And regardless actually regardless of
- 30:10what it was or wasn't, you should have been able
- 30:13to pay for it because it was the first date.
- 30:15So yes, but what type of girl did you go
- 30:19out with? Here's the thing that you guys don't understand
- 30:21when you go out on a first date. Okay, let's
- 30:23just if she orders lobster, right, is she a lobster
- 30:28girl or is she just out to take advantage of you?
- 30:31You guys should know the women that you're dating, whether
- 30:35they're out for a free meal or that's just how
- 30:38they roll. If you don't know that, that's on you,
- 30:42not her. Okay, But in fairness, to be fair to
- 30:46the other side of it, you women should not be
- 30:49ordering the most expensive thing on the menu on the
- 30:51first date. It looks classless, Okay, have a little class
- 30:56order some middle of the road till you get to
- 30:58know each other, find out where it's going going on?
- 31:00Speaker 6: Romeo Red Rob, what's up?
- 31:03Speaker 7: Brother?
- 31:03Speaker 1: Hey?
- 31:04Speaker 2: Just last night my.
- 31:05Speaker 4: Date was class late. She reached over the table and
- 31:08grabbed some of my knees and.
- 31:15Speaker 6: Then the top of allard share.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Nice. That's a red flag? All right? Ron, get at it?
- 31:27And he lost I lost them any four, two, five,
- 31:31four or seven and seven?
- 31:32Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 31:32Speaker 1: The guy just said he went out with some woman
- 31:35first date last night and she ordered the most expensive
- 31:37thing on the meal. He was asking if that was
- 31:40a red flag. No, And it kind of depends. I mean,
- 31:46first of all, you pay. You should always pay for
- 31:49the date. Okay, we're gonna we're gonna agree on that.
- 31:52You should be able to afford the most expensive thing
- 31:54on the menu. All right, just so you don't look,
- 31:57you know, where are you going? You're the one that
- 31:58is your fault for taking to that place? Or is
- 32:01it her fault for ordering the most expensive thing on
- 32:03the menu. But I do believe any woman that orders
- 32:06the most expensive thing on the menu is either that's
- 32:10how she lives or she's trying to get a free meal.
- 32:14You should know which girl she is. Okay, you should
- 32:17know what type of girl she is going out on
- 32:20a date with her, all right, But I also don't
- 32:24think a woman should order something that expensive. Do you
- 32:27order something kind of middle of the road. It's the
- 32:29first date, you know, have a little the core, I
- 32:31have a little class already four two four or seven
- 32:34to seven. But like I said, maybe that's how she rolls.
- 32:39Maybe she's used to steak and lobster. If you're dating
- 32:42a steak and lobster girl, you gotta pay steak and
- 32:44lobster prices. I texted me a little bit ago and
- 32:46he said he went out on a first date with
- 32:48some lady and she ordered the most expensive thing on
- 32:51the menu. Now I don't know what kind of restaurant
- 32:53they went to, but he was asking me if that
- 32:57was a red flag? Already four two for seven to
- 33:01seventh room. If she puts out, she can order anything
- 33:04on the menu. Good morning, How what's going on? You know?
- 33:07Speaker 4: Morning?
- 33:08Speaker 1: What I mean?
- 33:09Speaker 4: Hey?
- 33:10Speaker 1: Next time?
- 33:11Speaker 4: Top my guy man to ask for some crayons so
- 33:14he could color the many.
- 33:16Speaker 2: Blade this will everything and red gold.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's funny.
- 33:35Speaker 4: Hey man, I agree with you, Rome though. You know, hey,
- 33:38if you take her somewhere round to emn and you know, hey,
- 33:42that's the way she will, That's that's the way she rose. Man,
- 33:44we can't be upset about it.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Well, here's the thing though, and this is I'm gonna
- 33:48hit all aspects of this day. First of all, I'm
- 33:52assuming he could afford it. He just didn't, you know,
- 33:55So only take him someplace you can afford. She shouldn't
- 33:59be ordering them most expensive thing on the menu because
- 34:02it just it looks kind of like you're doing too much,
- 34:06like you're But you're right. If that's how she rolls
- 34:09and that's her everyday lifestyle, then that's fine. Or if
- 34:14she's that woman that's just looking for a free meal,
- 34:16you should know the difference before you even go out
- 34:18with her. You know who you're dating. So I agree
- 34:23with you. I'm with you man, all right, thanks for
- 34:25coming everything. You can order everything on the left side
- 34:31of the menu, not the right. But my point is
- 34:33it's kind of a double edged sword because you you
- 34:40should know where you're taking where you're taking somebody on
- 34:45a date. You should know that already, and you should
- 34:48know what they who they are. Are they just uh,
- 34:53you know, out for a free meal or is that
- 34:55how they legitimately roll you know already four two to five,
- 34:59four seven to seven, or maybe it's your fault for
- 35:02taking the for taking her somewhere that has an expensive
- 35:06item on the menu. Man, I shouldn't even say that.
- 35:09I should just say that ladies on your first date,
- 35:13don't order the most expensive thing unless you're just being
- 35:16greedy and selfish and you're out for a free meal
- 35:18then of course, but don't expect a second date. But yeah,
- 35:23I don't know.
- 35:24Speaker 3: Okay, So I feel like this, if a guy's gonna
- 35:26be talking crap about.
- 35:28Speaker 6: A woman and what she orders of her meal, like
- 35:31say she order a steak, he should invite her to
- 35:33go eat.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Period then.
- 35:36Speaker 3: Okay, Okay, in a way it's good so he can know, like.
- 35:40Speaker 6: Hey, this girl, she's really expensive on it.
- 35:43Speaker 3: You know, it's time to take her out to eat,
- 35:45you know.
- 35:46Speaker 6: So in the way it's good so he can know, like.
- 35:48Speaker 3: You know, she likes expensive meal, And if he's gonna
- 35:51be talking crap about her, he should not even invite
- 35:54her to go eat and take her.
- 35:55Speaker 1: To Stop Bucks. Fair enough, Okay, I mean, look, there's
- 36:06arguments to be made on both sides. Okay, a guy
- 36:10shouldn't be. A guy should understand what he's getting himself
- 36:14involved in with the type of woman that he's taken out,
- 36:17all right, he should know what her budget or how
- 36:20she lives. I mean, you should know the type of
- 36:24woman that you're taking out right, whether she's a little
- 36:27higher end or whether she's a little lower end. But
- 36:30at the same time, if you flip it, if you
- 36:32flip it to the other side of it, should a
- 36:36woman be well, see that's the thing if you see yeah,
- 36:42I mean, should she be ordering the most expensive thing? Well,
- 36:47if she's used to it, then yes. If she's not
- 36:51used to it, then is that the question? Or does
- 36:55it matter? So a guy was texting. I guess he
- 36:57went out on a first date with a girl and
- 36:58he thought the meal sh order was very expensive. He
- 37:01didn't know, Uh, he didn't know what to think about that,
- 37:04And I guess it kind of goes both ways. Is
- 37:08it a red flag?
- 37:09Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 37:10Speaker 1: Maybe maybe unless she's used to that. I mean someone
- 37:14when are used to that already? Four two five, four
- 37:17seven to seven, and uh, well a lot of guys
- 37:20will say, well, I'm is she just ordering the most
- 37:22expensive thing to take advantage or I mean I don't know, Hey, Romeo.
- 37:29Related to the topic, is it a red flag that
- 37:33you that a male date a man orders a casadea
- 37:38for dinner, no meat, no hot sauce, plain old case adea.
- 37:43I felt like I was on a date with a child.
- 37:46You should have ordered the kids menu. Yes, that's weird. Yes,
- 37:54that's absolutely one hundred percent weird. How old was the dude?
- 37:58That's what I want to day. But yeah, no, that
- 38:00is totally a red flag. Absolutely. So guy texted he
- 38:08was talking about what is a first date? What she ordered?
- 38:11He thought it was too expensive? Most expensive thing, right,
- 38:16And it does beg a question because somebody else just
- 38:19text and says she went out on a date with
- 38:20a man who just ordered a plain Casadia, no meat,
- 38:23no cheat or no sauce, no nuhe just a plain casadea.
- 38:28Was asking me, oh, he was thirty seven years old?
- 38:30The dude that did that. Yeah, casadia, no meat, no
- 38:35hot sauce, just a plain Ksadia, thirty seven years old.
- 38:37Is that a red flag? I think it is, But
- 38:41it does kind of asked the question, right, what does
- 38:46it say about somebody on what they order on a
- 38:50first date? Does that say anything about a male or female.
- 38:55What they eat on the first date, does that change?
- 38:57Speaker 6: Uh?
- 38:59Speaker 1: Can you read something into that? I would definitely read
- 39:03something into a thirty seven year old dude ordering a
- 39:06playing case of dion a first date. There's that's childlife,
- 39:10so that is uh, yeah, I would read something into that.
- 39:13A girl ordering steaking lobster on a first date, I
- 39:18don't know. Depends on who she is, right, she might
- 39:20be a she might be that kind of girl, you know,
- 39:23she might be a higher end you know she's used
- 39:25to she's used to eating that. Or she might be
- 39:29someone who doesn't get that very much. I mean, it
- 39:32just depends. You should know when you wou with them,
- 39:35right already fourteen you bought four or seven? Seven? Hey, Rome,
- 39:39them big girls do cost a lot when it comes
- 39:42to food. That's why I stay with the cute, petite girls.
- 39:46All excuse me, All they want is appetizer than Margarita's.
- 39:52Let me see what big boys sent me here. He's
- 39:55got something to say about this, Oh Rome, Oh, big
- 39:59boy says he wasn't talking crap, he was just asking.
- 40:02Sounds like he paid just probably damn first state high maintenance. Well,
- 40:08it depends on what one girl's high maintenance or you know,
- 40:12one guy's high maintenance is one one another guy's norm.
- 40:16You know what I'm saying. Some women are high maintenance,
- 40:18cost a lot for some. For other women, they don't
- 40:21call they that's their norm, you know? So yeah already
- 40:26four two, five, four seven to seven. Uh, hey Rome,
- 40:33It's like when when you tell a girl what what
- 40:37do you like to drink? Or what do you usually drink?
- 40:40And they say nineteen forty two or like the most
- 40:43expensive stuff, and then they say, but what do you
- 40:46like to drink when you're paying for it? What have
- 40:52we got here in four two, five, four seven to seven? Rome?
- 40:59Maybe the guy, oh, the Casadia guy? What did you
- 41:02say here? Uh? Some girls said she went out with
- 41:05a thirty seven year old man who ordered a Casadia.
- 41:08No no met no sauce, nothing, just playing Casadia, which
- 41:13is weird by the way. Yes, hey Rome, maybe that
- 41:17guy didn't have a lot of money and got something
- 41:20small do the girl. The girl could order what she Oh,
- 41:24so the girl could order what she wanted?
- 41:26Speaker 3: Uh?
- 41:26Speaker 1: Maybe maybe what's going on?
- 41:31Speaker 4: Hey?
- 41:31Speaker 2: What's up?
- 41:31Speaker 1: Roman? Seahawk glue man?
- 41:34Speaker 4: Hey room?
- 41:35Speaker 2: So I kind of I agree with what you're saying, man,
- 41:39there's you know, there's some bougie women out there and
- 41:43some that are a little more ghetto.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Well some boo When you say boogie, that just might
- 41:51be their normal. It's not bogie. It's bougie to you,
- 41:53it's normal to them.
- 41:56Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 41:56Speaker 4: Yeah, well yeah, that's what I'm trying to take. It
- 41:59could mean bougie to you, but normal to them.
- 42:02Speaker 2: Okay, you know, I agree with what you're saying. We
- 42:07alto have the normal or even the ghetto. The ones
- 42:11that like to drink you know, Budweizer every week.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Jesus, that's wrong with you, But that's what they like,
- 42:17you know what I mean, There's nothing wrong with that. Okay, yeah,
- 42:22all right, So I think they should look for, you know,
- 42:25someone that drinks bud Light, Buddelizers, and if that's what
- 42:27they want, yeah.
- 42:29Speaker 4: That's what they gotta find. I guess they can't afford.
- 42:32Speaker 1: You can't afford gotta get out of here. I mean,
- 42:38there's uh. I mean, obviously the terminology that Seahawk lu
- 42:42was using, hopefully was for a fact, but yeah, I mean,
- 42:48if you can't afford it, you can't afford it. But
- 42:50there are some women out there. You know who Lobster
- 42:54and steak is a normal meal for them. It's not.
- 42:57It's not something you know, it's not a seal. So yeah,
- 43:02I don't know already four two four, seven to seven, Hey,
- 43:07Uf and cheese fan talking about dates. Me and my
- 43:09wife orders some pricey meals. The messed up thing. She
- 43:12only eats a little portion of it and the rest
- 43:15to go, and she doesn't eat after that, so she
- 43:19throws it away. I mean it just a pricey meal
- 43:22is a pricey meal. Some women's pricey meal is some
- 43:26women's extravaganza. So you got to understand that, you know now,
- 43:30the wrong with it is just is what it is.
- 43:31But there is something to be said about a first date.
- 43:37What somebody orders, right or maybe not? I don't know.
- 43:41What do you think? We're talking a little bit about
- 43:44first dates. Right when you go on a first date,
- 43:46does what the person orders does that mean anything?
- 43:49Speaker 4: Right?
- 43:49Speaker 1: Some lady said she went out with a thirty seven
- 43:52year old dude. He ordered a casadea that was it,
- 43:54no meat in it, no salt, just a plain case
- 43:56adia Rome in my date to hear, hey Rome, so
- 44:02the mail, let's see, and my date considers herself a
- 44:06steak in lobster girl, then damn she better be able
- 44:10to cook good steak and lobster at home too from
- 44:14time to time. Okay, that was referring to a guy
- 44:17who said, you know, if a girl earl steak in lobster,
- 44:20is that doing too much on a first date?
- 44:22Speaker 4: Well?
- 44:23Speaker 1: I don't know, Rome. Let's see here sounds to me
- 44:28like the dude can't afford the car he chose to
- 44:32test drive. First date, first impression, she got what she wanted.
- 44:37If he thought that he wasn't. If he thought that
- 44:41was an issue, then that's where it ends. Are you
- 44:45talking about the casadia? Hey?
- 44:47Speaker 3: Rome?
- 44:48Speaker 1: What gets me more mad is when they order something
- 44:51and don't eat it. Oh, on a first date and
- 44:54you don't care what they order, but just eat everything. Okay,
- 44:57well that makes sense. I don't know what do you
- 45:00guys think? Eight four, five four or seven seven? Does
- 45:04it matter what somebody orders on a first date?
- 45:07Speaker 2: Hey?
- 45:07Speaker 1: Good marn to Rome. On a side note, when I
- 45:10first started dating my wife, her teenage son, which is fourteen,
- 45:15would order the most expensive item on the menu. When
- 45:18he would come over to my house. I would make him.
- 45:22I would make him mow the backyard. After the second
- 45:25time mowing my yard, he asked me how come he
- 45:28has he has to mow in my backyard. I explained
- 45:31to him, if you're going to keep ordering expensive items
- 45:35on your menu or on the menu, this is the
- 45:38way of pain for that meal. After that, he stopped
- 45:41picking the most expensive items on the menu. Wow, that's
- 45:49pretty funny, Hey, Rome, If that guy ordered a playing
- 45:53case adia, that should tell the girl about how he
- 45:57is going to be boring and picky. Yeah, that's a
- 46:03good point. I mean that does say. Here's here's what's funny,
- 46:08because we had two conversations going on. A girl ordering
- 46:11the most expensive thing on the menu on a first
- 46:13date with a guy. Uh, and a guy, a thirty
- 46:17seven year old guy ordering a plain case adea on
- 46:20a first date with a girl with a woman. Right,
- 46:23So the casadia says more about the guy than the
- 46:27woman who ordered the most expensive thing on the menu. There, Yeah,
- 46:30I would think the guy that says more the guy.
- 46:33And what kind of psycho are you to just order
- 46:36a plain casadea for dinner? I mean, that's that's a
- 46:40little psychotic. Ilish woman texted in and said she went
- 46:43out with a thirty seven year old dude on a
- 46:45first date and he ordered a plane casadea no meat,
- 46:48no sauce, no nothing, just she said, like a child
- 46:51would order. And what does that say or does it
- 46:55say anything? All right? Rome, Hey, what if the guy
- 46:59didn't want to pick out and ate before the date
- 47:01to save money and ruin his date? Well, well, like
- 47:07I said, that says something that does Let's go by
- 47:10your lodging because you're the second person that said. Maybe
- 47:13he just wanted to save money, So what does that
- 47:16say about him? He's cheap, he's portraying cheapness. Or because
- 47:24somebody said, well what if he wanted what if he
- 47:26wanted to say, not order something expensive for himself so
- 47:29that she could order whatever she wanted. Is that and
- 47:36I'll go with your lodging? Okay, that's what he did.
- 47:39Is that appealing to a woman? Does a woman find
- 47:42that attractive that her man can't afford or the man
- 47:47she's dating can't afford to feed both of them? He
- 47:50can't eat as much so he can afford And now
- 47:52it's a nice gesture, Well she can get whatever she wants,
- 47:55but he can't afford both of us. Is that attractive
- 47:59to a woman. Maybe apparently not to this woman. But
- 48:04also you're telling me he couldn't get a steak case idea,
- 48:09chicken case idea. I had to just be a There
- 48:11is something to be said to ordering just a plane
- 48:14cheese case idea. That shows a lot. Good morning, Now,
- 48:20what's going on, Romeo?
- 48:22Speaker 6: First, grates are very important. You know, you can find
- 48:26out a lot about a person. But my advice to
- 48:28men is always start off small. You can always level left,
- 48:31but she's level. If jack step go down, she's always
- 48:34gonna notice that. Oh so you know and date in
- 48:39your tax bracket. If you know she's gonna be expensive
- 48:42and you can't afford it, don't even try it. You're
- 48:44wasting your time.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Okay, that's fair.
- 48:47Speaker 6: If she's happy, if she's happy with Jack in the
- 48:49box or twenty piece of chicken nuggets, you hit the lottery.
- 48:53Speaker 4: You gotta keep her.
- 48:55Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, all right, I mean for him, I think
- 49:00that's sad. I mean I would not want a cheap
- 49:02ass woman. I mean, I just wouldn't want somebody like that.
- 49:05That just yeah, I don't want anybody that's cheap like that,
- 49:08all right, but hey, some people do. Although Jack in
- 49:13the Box cost you forty five dollars to go to
- 49:14it now, right, So a woman texted in and she
- 49:18was talking about a guy she went out with. Thirty
- 49:19seven year old guys she went out with one to zero.
- 49:21Is it a red flag that he ordered just a
- 49:23plain casadia cheese and tortilla caesadia, no meat, no sauce.
- 49:29That's all he had on a first date. That's weird.
- 49:33That's very weird, by the way, in a lot of
- 49:36different ways. And I know you guys are over here
- 49:38trying to justify. Well, maybe he was trying to save
- 49:40money so that she could order what she want. Maybe
- 49:42he was this is the next one, Hey, good morning Romeo.
- 49:45Well maybe he was on a diet. Okay, well order
- 49:50a salad. Order something I mean is a cheesecase idea?
- 49:56Is that diet food? Is that what you eat on
- 49:58a diet? I mean yeah, I just I think you
- 50:03got justify this situation when you know who orders cheese
- 50:06case ideas when you go out to dinner eight year olds.
- 50:11I'm surprised he didn't get a side of chicken nuggets
- 50:13with it. That is strange. That's childish. Okay, Now that's
- 50:19just childish. In fact, to be honest with you, I'm
- 50:23gonna even go a step further. A guy that orders
- 50:27a case idea, an adult man that orders a case adea,
- 50:31even with meat in it, on a date or in general,
- 50:35is weird. That's a childish food. Okay, that is what
- 50:40kids order, So I can understand why she was a
- 50:42little concerned about it. She even said he could have
- 50:45ordered alf the kids menu. I mean, that's it's weird.
- 50:48There really isn't a real good justification for it. I mean,
- 50:56alrighty four two five, four seven to seven. Hey, Romeo,
- 51:00you were talking about first dates and what you order.
- 51:04How do you feel about how do you feel about
- 51:09someone drinking too much on a first date. I went
- 51:13out with this girl and she drank a lot. She
- 51:16ended up throwing up in the parking lot. It was
- 51:19a little embarrassing, I thought, so I never talked to
- 51:23her again. Yeah, that's different. I mean, because sometimes people
- 51:34get nervous. I mean, first dates can be nerve wracking.
- 51:37You guys know that. You guys have all been on
- 51:38dates when you're or or Yeah, they just can be
- 51:41nerve wracking, you know. So the drinking could kind of
- 51:44go either way. You know, sometimes people go on first
- 51:47dates and they're nervous, So I would expect a woman.
- 51:55If a guy does it, you might want to worry
- 51:56about it. If if a guy takes you out on
- 51:59a first date and he drinks too much, it's probably
- 52:01a problem. If a woman does it, I mean, it's
- 52:05probably more likely she was just extremely nervous, and not
- 52:11that she's some sort of alcoholic or anything. I think
- 52:13she just I would give the woman the benefit of
- 52:16the doubt as beings as being nervous on a first date,
- 52:20as opposed to a man. I guess I could put
- 52:22it like that, Hey, room, what's up? What do you
- 52:26think about this? I went out with a girl on
- 52:29a couple of dates. But when but then she ghosted
- 52:33me all because I called her out about posting stuff
- 52:37to her social media and making it look as if
- 52:39she was alone or with a girlfriend. And I noticed
- 52:44from another friend of mine there that that her on
- 52:49social media. Oh that here on social media. She blocked
- 52:54me from some of her posts. So I just told
- 52:57her there's no need for her her to hide anything
- 53:01from me. Well after I told her that, she blocked
- 53:05my phone number. And let me tell you, we we
- 53:09went out on a couple of nice We went out
- 53:12to a couple of nice restaurants. At that I felt
- 53:14like she was just out to get free meals. To
- 53:17be completely honest, Well, I mean that happens. I mean, yeah,
- 53:23she could. I mean there are women out there that
- 53:24are going out just for free meals and to you know,
- 53:28for social media purposes, take pictures of their meals and
- 53:31whatever what not to make it look like they're balling
- 53:33or make it look like they're doing something that they're not.
- 53:35I mean, that's real. That's what social media is. That's
- 53:38what all these clowns do on social media. So I
- 53:41don't see why, what do you mean, what do I
- 53:43think about it? I think that's it's exactly what most
- 53:47people want to do. Yeah, I mean it's what a
- 53:52lot of people want to do. They just want the
- 53:55picture for their social media sites to get publicity. I mean,
- 53:59the problem with social media is there are so many
- 54:01It's turned so many people into a bunch of insecure
- 54:06morons because they want that attention, they want to be famous,
- 54:09they need for people to like them, and it's just
- 54:13absolutely absurd what some of these people feel that social
- 54:16media is a real world. I mean, that's their real
- 54:18it's real world to them because that's their life. But
- 54:22that's I mean, what do you want me to tell you?
- 54:23You know, you went out with a with a social
- 54:26media influencer. I guess that's what they call them, right you?
- 54:29Just if you're not into it, go find a girl
- 54:31who's not like that. You know already four to vavo
- 54:35or seven seven and maybe she couldn't afford to go
- 54:38out to the restaurants without you, so she had to
- 54:41do what she had to do to get that photo.
- 54:44When's the last time you, guys went through one of
- 54:46your junk drawers? Some of you have probably one in
- 54:49the kitchen. You might have one in the laundry room.
- 54:51You might have one outside in the garage. But everybody
- 54:56has a junk drawer for some reason. I don't know
- 54:59it's so and why we just throw everything in there.
- 55:04I just don't know why. It's It's incredible, right, What
- 55:09is the craziest thing you got in a dunk drawer?
- 55:11Speaker 4: Right now?
- 55:11Speaker 1: When's the last time you looked at it? When's the
- 55:12last time you saw why do I even have that?
- 55:14When's the last time you cleaned one out? You know,
- 55:18when's the last time you've done that?
- 55:20Speaker 7: I have.
- 55:21Speaker 1: I have two drunk junk drawers at home, and I
- 55:25am not really sure the last time I actually clean
- 55:28them out. Sometimes they don't even open all the way
- 55:30because you got some wedged in the back that prevents
- 55:33it from opening. All Right, you guys got a junk drawer.
- 55:39What's in it? What's the weirdest thing you have in it? Already? Four? Two, five,
- 55:43four or seven to seven? Everybody has a drunk drawer, right,
- 55:46what's the craziest thing you have in it? What's the
- 55:48strangest thing? When's the last time you looked in it?
- 55:50What do you got already? What I say?
- 55:53Speaker 4: Here?
- 55:53Speaker 1: Oh hey, rom so the strangest thing I got my
- 55:56drunk drawers where I keep my ketchup packets and my
- 55:59hot sausage from the restaurants. You keep caught excuse me?
- 56:07You keep condiments in your junk drawer? How do they
- 56:11not pop?
- 56:11Speaker 2: Like?
- 56:11Speaker 1: My drunk drawer has screwdrivers and flashlights, and it has
- 56:17what you might call it it has cords for charging
- 56:21batteries things like that. How do you do it without it?
- 56:27That's pretty funny though, all right, So what do you
- 56:29got in your junk drawer? You got anything crazy? All right?
- 56:31So you got a junk drawer somewhere in your house,
- 56:33So what do you keeping it? Kind of crazy things?
- 56:35You gotten it? Alright? Apour two pop for seven to seven?
- 56:39Hey Romeo? Oh well, we have a drunk drawer in
- 56:41the kitchen, and for some reason, my wife keeps my
- 56:45son's baby teeth in the junk drawer. They're in a
- 56:49little mint tin that she keeps in the That's that's strange. Okay,
- 56:58good morning. Not what's going on?
- 57:00Speaker 4: What's up?
- 57:02Speaker 2: Man? Talk about it?
- 57:03Speaker 4: Junk drawer?
- 57:04Speaker 2: Bro?
- 57:04Speaker 4: I get I get mad at the old lady when
- 57:06she does that makes the drawer full of stuff. You
- 57:08can't even open it, you know. I mean you're still
- 57:09trying to stick your hand in her wiggle stuff to
- 57:11get it stuck in the back.
- 57:12Speaker 1: Oh yeah yeah, that happens all the time. Yeah yeah.
- 57:15Speaker 4: So I got it room and I am getting it
- 57:16into a box and after the kitchen is for your
- 57:19kitchen stuff.
- 57:20Speaker 1: Bro.
- 57:20Speaker 4: I'll tell you what, every time I need something, I'm
- 57:22running to that box to go grab something because there's
- 57:24everything in the mom in that box.
- 57:25Speaker 1: So what's in the drawer now?
- 57:28Speaker 4: Well, just like uh, like the towels, like to grab
- 57:32like the hothouse, to.
- 57:32Speaker 2: Grab the stuff in the store.
- 57:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I got you, all right.
- 57:36Speaker 4: But she's working on another one in the room. Room.
- 57:38You know.
- 57:38Speaker 1: It's hilarious of course, all right, But like I.
- 57:41Speaker 4: Said, they got everything you need. That little screw that's
- 57:44a certain screwdriver, or the one that fits the eyeglasses.
- 57:47Speaker 2: You know what I mean.
- 57:48Speaker 4: Everybody's in there all right.
- 57:50Speaker 1: Later, Dad, what I'm saying. It's crazy, man. The jug drawer.
- 57:55I got two of them in my kitchen. There's just
- 57:58a boy. We don't need anything that's in it. I
- 58:01don't think. I'm not sure I'd have to go through
- 58:02it again. We're talking about the junk drawer. Everybody seems
- 58:05to have a drunk drawer somewhere in their house, maybe
- 58:07their garage, but or your shed, I don't know. But
- 58:10you have just everything in it, right, What do you got?
- 58:13Going to Rome gil Rod here streaming from Lamore, California
- 58:19this weekend. I was looking for a pen in my
- 58:21junk drawer. Found a pack of dried sliced oranges that
- 58:26I used my old for my old fashions. I might
- 58:32have stuck him in there after a night of too
- 58:34many old fashions. That's pretty funny. That's pretty funny. Like
- 58:40I said, man, everybody's got something crazy in their junk drawer.
- 58:43Why don't you guys today when you get home, just
- 58:47go through it. See what you got in there. You
- 58:49probably forgot about something that's Romeo. Sometimes I don't know
- 58:53if I get text messages late or why you guys
- 58:58just decide to send me something after we've moved on.
- 59:02But somebody just sent me this about social media. We
- 59:05were talking about a guy texted earlier about he went
- 59:09out with a girl a couple of times and she
- 59:11would post on social media like she was out by herself,
- 59:14not with him, right, And I guess they went out
- 59:18on a few dates. And so I was saying, talking
- 59:20about social media, I said, yeah, there are people out
- 59:22there who just live for social media. That's their whole lives.
- 59:25I mean, it's embarrassing and sad because they think that's
- 59:29the real world when it's not. So somebody texting me, hey,
- 59:33rome maybe if you were on social media more, you'd
- 59:36be more popular. Okay, Well I don't know what you
- 59:41mean by that, but okay, thanks for the advice. I
- 59:44appreciate it. I do not post much on social media,
- 59:48by the way. That's why they said that, because I'm not.
- 59:51You know, I'm sure you guys are doing great on sea.
- 59:54Speaker 3: In the morning every morning.
- 59:55Speaker 1: More ninety four point one
