Anthropic Releases Claude Opus 5, Matching Its Top Model at Half the Price
On July 24, Anthropic released Claude Opus 5, which it says comes close to the capabilities of its most powerful model, Claude Fable 5, on many tasks at half the price, with notable gains in coding. It is Anthropic's fourth Claude 5 model in under two months, a sign the AI race is shifting from raw capability to the economics of everyday use.
