The U.S. Postal Service is raising the price of a Forever stamp again—this time from 78 cents to 82 cents, effective July 12. It’s part of a 5% overall cost hike amid severe financial strain, with officials warning they could run out of cash within a year and even halt mail delivery. This isn’t the first increase this year, nor will it be the last—more hikes are planned through December 2027. Since Forever stamps debuted in 2007 at 41 cents, prices have risen about 50%.
