- 0:20[SPEAKER_02]: This is not sentiment classes, this is Chris Kaufman, sentiment classes, doing some draft stuff.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_02]: And if you really want to, you know, listen to and hear Simon Clancy, he does a great show with Kyle Krabs every week.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_02]: I know because I watch it every week because I have to because I produce on the executive producer for the show.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_02]: So I got to listen to it.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_02]: So I enjoy it and if I enjoy it, you're going to enjoy it too.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_02]: So that's
- 0:43[SPEAKER_02]: Later on this week, the low red zone draft podcast with co-crats and Simon Crancill.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_02]: We don't have him now because I guess it's like three in the morning and the UK right now or some shit like that.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_02]: But we do have Chris.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_01]: We also just did daylight savings.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if that's throwing a crimp and things.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know what that translates to.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_02]: I'm I'm the worst at that.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like if you ask me right now what's the time in Taiwan.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: I have no I have no idea like I don't like I ever would have known in Taiwan, but I think at various points, I might know what time it is in London with or in England with Simon, but right now I don't I know it's Las Vegas is is three hours.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's for me.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: You know that you do know that.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_01]: I know that.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_01]: I know that.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_02]: I know that.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_02]: I know that for a fact.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_02]: But this is the ninth season of this three yards per carry.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: Chris.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_02]: Can I call the season?
- 1:33[SPEAKER_02]: Season kicking off the ninth season in style.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, nine years.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_02]: you know, which means we're in your closer to our 10 year anniversary, which is kind of cool because the funny thing is that this is our ninth season of this show and we actually did our own show that didn't get paid for it.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_02]: Amongst ourselves for about what a good 12 years or so.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah,
- 2:00[SPEAKER_02]: And for a while we were in that WhatsApp chat and we could go back and forth back and forth back and forth and at some point we were like you know that I think this will make a good show maybe somebody will want to listen to this crap and we just we just kept talking about it like we just kept talking about it like we're oh yeah we're wish we started podcast at some point and then we just like never did it.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_01]: until finally we did and I do remember it was it was when Ethan was starting to five reasons thing and it was it was at first he asked me if I wanted because he's putting together this whole five reasons thing and this whole this idea for he wanted to do a writing website though.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: I you know think like the athletic or something like that.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: And any approach me about it and it was like one of me to write for it and I think by then I was kind of tired of writing you know for publication anyway not for Twitter and and so I was just like now but you know what.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: out because I think you had separately approached him too, and I was like, Alf Simon and I have been kicking around that we want to do a podcast for literally years.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, why don't we do a podcast?
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: You guys are already doing a five-gaskers or five reasons five-gaskers.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_01]: Remember at that time he had, what was his name?
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: Chris something or other?
- 3:24[SPEAKER_03]: Go with him.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: Whitting him.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_03]: Whitting him.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: Whitting.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: Man, they were already doing their
- 3:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, well, why don't we just do a podcast and we'll just, uh, you know, fly under your banner.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_02]: You know, uh, yeah, Chris putting Chris with him is famous or I should say infamous for possibly the worst sports take in South Florida sports history.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_02]: Do you know which one that is?
- 3:46[SPEAKER_02]: Do you know which one that is?
- 3:48[SPEAKER_02]: No, is it something to do with a rhyme?
- 3:49[SPEAKER_02]: It has to, has to do with the Florida Panthers.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_02]: The Florida Panthers traded Jonathan Eurodot and McKenzie Weager for Matthew Pachuk.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_02]: And at the time, I was like, this is a sneaky move because the trays like dead even and maybe you're giving up a little bit more, but you're kind of changing the face of the franchise and you're going to go from speed and ability and athleticism to toughness and grit.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_02]: He spent the better part of two months saying it was the worst trade in franchise history and then he finally changed Allegiance allegiances So he just because he was Yeah, yeah, I think he grew up in New York and he and he said fuck it I'm gonna become a Rangers fan and to hell with the Panthers because they just blew up the franchise From that point on they went to three straight Stanley cups on one two of them
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: Uh-huh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh uh, uh uh, uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: it's going to be celebrating its 10th year soon, that's the point, right?
- 5:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they're a little older than we are.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe they're closer to that 10th year than we are.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_02]: But if you want to get to us and trust me, this is the time of year you want to be on here, okay?
- 5:31[SPEAKER_02]: You need to be on here.

- 6:08[SPEAKER_02]: Since this is the start of a new season, I guess I'm just going to make the rules on this show.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_02]: This is going to be the Malik Willis show and we're just going to talk exclusively Malik Willis.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_01]: Unless you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want to talk about this, you want
- 6:30[SPEAKER_02]: I was going to say, all right, this is a big show.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_02]: We got to get going with, you know, the biggest signing of the day Greg Dulcice Chris, you're right.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: I knew it.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: I knew it.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_01]: I knew it.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I knew exactly what was coming.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_01]: And then you still somehow through a curve ball.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, by really going with the Malik Willis angle.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_02]: But you know what, not to give this man short thrift because he was here for six years.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_02]: Let's do five minutes on Tua.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_02]: We're gonna have plenty of time.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_02]: So five minutes on Tua and let's do 45 on Malik Wallace.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, signing the downside, the upside, his fit, what we gotta do going forward.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_02]: We're gonna cover every single base on Malik Wallace on this show, but let's start with Tua.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_02]: Where did it go wrong?
- 7:11[SPEAKER_02]: Because I don't think it went wrong it's just unlucky.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think we were just unlucky.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't think I'm gonna be honest.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: Like an exact moment, I think that it was the snag with the Buffalo game.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_01]: Well, there's two Buffalo games, obviously, but there's a snag with the Buffalo game and then the follow-up, the massive concussion that he had against the Bengals.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: that and has been semi publicly admitted that the shenanigans that happened in that Buffalo game was actually a concussion that was covered up, not by the novins, but by two of himself and and that he followed up by playing a game against the Bengals five days later.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_01]: and taking that super ridiculous concussion.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_01]: And by stacking those concussions together, I think that it created a firestorm.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_01]: You saw it, yeah, drove everybody crazy.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_01]: He showed up after the Green Bay game in the film room, you know, another concussion.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_01]: Another one that he hid during the game.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_01]: And they only discovered it during film review and they're like, you know, how come you don't have the recall, you usually have.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think it really just all tumbled down here because if I think about all of the follow-on events, it's sort of like how they say when you get injured like you injure a knee and you start favoring it.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: And then because you're favoring it, you injure the other knee.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm going to injure some other body part.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like in the NBA, in the NBA, the the rash of Achilles injuries that were all preceded by calf injuries, yeah, mysteriously enough.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_01]: And, and it's, but it's like a chain, it's like a chain of events.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that what happened is that everybody was driven so crazy by the firestorm and what happened that year.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_01]: with the concussions that it really created the setting for there to be more issues because the following year in 2023, what it he gained weight and he tried to be, you know, kind of stout and not take any concussions and get rid of the ball quickly.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: And then what happened in 20, well, that year didn't, didn't go so well.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: He needed more mobility now.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_01]: And so in 2024, okay, I'm going to get a lighter.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to get more mobile.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to make more plays that way.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_01]: And then what happens in 2024 in the second game lights out.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: You know, lights out and he tries to be a playmaker again.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_01]: And he can cusses himself against the bills.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that after that contract was signed,
- 10:13[SPEAKER_01]: the thought, the mindset for the Miami Dolphins is protect our investment.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: We've got $150 million plus sunk into this guy.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_01]: We can't have him keep getting injured.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_01]: So we're going to drive him crazy about how he plays to make sure that he stays healthy.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: And he tried to go along to get along with it, but also I don't think you change a guy's golf swing in the middle of the career.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that started to really affect him on the field and then from there.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_01]: So what he really needs is a reset.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he'll get that in a plan.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it's a great situation.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_02]: A great situation.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: And he's going to be a mystery.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's going over cold like like he went look spoiler alert.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's winning that job.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: Because the incumbent quarterback there is actually a guy who has more injuries and more injured prone than two a ton of a lot.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_02]: So I think he's winning that job.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_02]: Man, that's a great job.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_02]: He's going nowhere cold on the entire schedule.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_02]: The entire schedule.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_02]: He's going nowhere cold.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_02]: He's playing in a dome half of the season.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_02]: No more than half of the season.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_02]: Two more get eight plays another game in New Orleans in a dome.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_02]: That he plays one in Carolina, one in Tampa.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_01]: Also, it's not just the environment, the dome, the division of opponents, it all works well, but like it's the fact that there's no history between them.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_01]: The history is wiped clean between team and quarterback team and player to where they're not going to be driving him crazy about how he needs to play in order to, you know, quote, unquote, you know, the stay healthy and all that to protect their $150 million investment and all that.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, he's not going to, and so he's not going to have the reason to fight back and to grasp back at them at these different
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like, it's like starting, it's like when a relationship goes bad, you know, between between, you know, husband and a wife or whatever, boyfriend or girlfriend or whatever.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: You know, a relationship kind of builds off of the history and when you wipe that clean and get into a whole new relationship, then you have a chance of the fresh start.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that he has that chance of that and I wouldn't be surprised if in the off season.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_01]: He's working out getting in the best shape of his life and looking like a playmaker again.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_01]: And actually playing good football for the Atlanta Falcons.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_01]: I do think that at some point, though, those compressions are going to come back.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they always do that they for better quarterbacks.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_02]: It's, it's happened for better quarterbacks.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_02]: Steve Young, Troy Ackman, if you remember, Troy Ackman had, you know, premature, he had a premature retirement because an accumulation of concussions.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_02]: Because he was playing at a high level when he had to retire.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to bring him with us.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the same thing for trinkering.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_02]: So that's one of those things that is not for long.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_02]: I'm rooting for him.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_02]: I hope he does well.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_02]: I hope he ever has another concussion again in the place 10 more years.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_01]: I feel better about it, he's in the NFC.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like, you know, okay, because normally, like when Ryan, I was not wishing him well.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not like, you know, when he had, well, I was getting a kick out of it.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_02]: I was getting a kick out of it because he was showing, you know, what my hot take was for a very long while,
- 13:41[SPEAKER_02]: Build a run game around him and have the a plaques and quarterback and he could be good and sure enough He became good when they gave them a well they give them Derek Henry You know and a play action passing game and all of a sudden he's and then we peaked ended it, you know, yeah And then and as I was I have in fun while he's like MVP candidate come back at the year kind of player No, I was not having fun.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about it on the podcast and I was like no fucking I know
- 14:08[SPEAKER_01]: This guy was, this guy should have been this in Miami, and now to see him doing this in Tennessee is just, you know, it pisses me off, and normally I would kind of take that attitude with to it, but, you know, being in the NFC, I care less, and also, you know, just the nature of how it went wrong is like, I'm rooting for the guy to like beat the concussion rap, and like actually, you know, actually have a fulfilling career because he's a nice guy.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and, and it just went, it went really, really sideways here toward the end.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_02]: And I think the beginning of the end was really in 2024 when I think we could reveal this now.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_02]: That came in in New York.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_02]: Tool was bargaining almost negotiating with Mike McDaniel to play in that game, because like we've talked about on this podcast many times over football players are kind of delusional.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_02]: So he doesn't think that the Broncos are going to be the chiefs.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_02]: He's thinking and he said the chiefs are going to be the Broncos I'm going to go on the road and beat Aaron Rogers and we're going to get into the playoffs again Yeah, that's the way he's thinking and I guess Mike McDaniel, at least this is the way I was told Mike McDaniel was doing the little handicapping
- 15:22[SPEAKER_02]: And said, no, it's not really going to happen.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's going to happen for the chiefs in this game.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: Sure enough, that score was 30, when he was right, he was right.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_02]: He was starting when the nothing had to.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_02]: OK.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_02]: But I got to the point where I was told the tour was bargaining.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: Let me play a half and we'll score board watch.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: And like Daniel said, no, we're not doing that.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_01]: He read them the right act, too, that week, as a result of all that.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that we had.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_01]: We had that on pretty good information that he really let, you know, Mike McDaniel have it.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_01]: He let, you know, Chris Greer have it.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_01]: And he was frustrated.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_01]: And I think for good reason, but yeah, at that time, what I was told is that, you know, those concussion-like symptoms, that the baseline neurological, you know, readouts for him were not good.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_01]: you know, during the time that he missed, he didn't miss those games with a secret concussion.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: That's not what I'm saying.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm saying that those baseline neurological, you know, symptoms were not great.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: And so it didn't surprise me that after that, after potentially a blow up between he and Mike McDaniel, not only did things start to go south with their relationship, but he had the offseason where it looked like a very much arrest and relaxation type
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: You know, get away from football, rest your brain, recover your neurological, you know, health and that's what he did and that kind of set the stage for him to have just like a very, a very bad looking regular season because he didn't work.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't, he wasn't a great athlete.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't come out of the offseason, looking like a, you know, a twitchy athlete like you
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't come out, he looked like you've been partying on a boat, you know, and so, and so, you know, kind of set the stage, and that's why I'm saying also, you can set the stage differently if you wipe this late clean with a new team, and maybe that happens, and dolphins should be prepared for that, because what if two is like you're you're looking at the standings you're looking around the league and there's two and like the top five of quarterback rating or something like that, and I think
- 17:47[SPEAKER_01]: I think most dolphins fans are so angry and jaded at him that they'll easily dismiss it.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I still wouldn't rather have them and things like that.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_01]: But at the same time, you know.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_01]: You never know, you come out of the season and it's like, oh, wait, he's he's in a pro wool.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that's, well, that's, they'll understand, dolphin fans all, dolphin fans will understand, like big numbers, you know, like if two has, you know, throws for 23 touchdowns and eight picks and has a very efficient year and they're not going to give a crap.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to give up a crap if two of puts up 40 touchdowns or
- 18:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it works, you know what I mean and trust we I'll give a crap to and we'll probably do a show on it if he does do that But we won't care because of what the dolphins did today
- 18:35[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly, and that's a perfect transition.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, we wish well, we wish to the best.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_02]: We hope you does well in Atlanta, but that's for another day when whenever we do play Atlanta I believe we play them two years from now.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe you still will be there.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_02]: But Malik Wallace, it happens today.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_02]: We kind of knew it was going to happen.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_02]: Kudos to Kyle Krabs, because he nailed the number.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_02]: And a lot of people were calling him delusional and insane for saying that he was gonna get an average of 22 and a half million dollars a year.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_02]: And sure enough, he got 22 and a half million dollars a year.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_01]: That was my first number as well.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_01]: Back when, you know, it was supposed to be Justin Fields plus inflation.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_01]: Right, just in a field plus inflation is two years 45 million and that that was the number I I mean, I a month ago I was Was talking about that and then I was like okay, there's a bidding were me.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I could see 25 I never moved off of 25 personally like I thought it would be Two years 50 or three years 75 and actually there was a whisper number going around the Super Bowl that was three years 75 million
- 19:44[SPEAKER_01]: And and I was I was informed of that and and so I thought okay that that makes sense two years fifty or three years seventy five and then maybe a play around with the guarantee a little bit The first number I was thinking was two years forty five, but you know everybody David Moligada did his job right he even went out there he drove it ready crazy which is
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: numbers and higher numbers and even higher, higher numbers and and scare in the crap out of people with 40 million a year and things like that.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: It eventually reached that fever pitch right around the combine where it was like, oh, now it's going to be 40 million a year.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_01]: And which is straight BS.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_01]: It's just natural.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_01]: And so, yeah, so came back down to Earth, that got walked back.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_01]: It was clear that Malik didn't have that kind of market.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_01]: He really didn't.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_01]: I doubt there were even that many, that many heavy bitters to be honest.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_02]: I'm pretty sure that it was one of those situations where a couple of teams touched base to see where they were at and he was probably signed sealed and delivered already to Miami.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_02]: Look, I said this to people before and I think we spoke about this on our Discord last night.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_02]: You were like, you know, how does it work?
- 21:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, you know, all it takes is for Jennifer Sullivan to do his job.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_02]: There's a good place to sell, you know?
- 21:10[SPEAKER_02]: You're talking about money.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_02]: It's South Florida, so you got that covered.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_02]: Talking about a nice place to live.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_02]: You got that covered.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_02]: Ownership with deposits.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_02]: You got that covered.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_02]: You got a new regime.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody's getting fired here.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like, they're not firing half-flear, John Erick Sullivan any time soon.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_02]: So there's a lot of attractive stuff.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_02]: You have that NFLPA, the cafeteria's a fabulous.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_01]: Like, we could say, yeah, right, right.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so there's a lot to sell here if we're selling.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_02]: Look, we're not going head to head with the Eagles here, or even with the Dallas Cowboys.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_02]: Those are the Arizona Cardinals people.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_01]: But at the end of the day, from Jeremy Faller, you know, what it was was the trust factor for him with the Dolphins, because I talked about this at some point, because we're talking about
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't just I wouldn't trust the jets as far as I could throw them when I look as, you know, I look back and and they just gave this exact deal to Justin Fields, either now throwing out the window.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_01]: And now and they also have like a billion first round picks in this this draft as well as the next draft and the next draft is that fat quarterback draft right so if your milk will is you truly do not you cannot trust the New York Jets.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_01]: The New York Jets are going to, you throw an interception or something like that.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_01]: And then you're going to be benched for somebody else and then in 2027, they're going to draft the first round quarterback.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_01]: It was after what happened with him in Tennessee and what happened with him in Tennessee.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: I probably didn't give enough of a thought to how traumatic it was for him.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_01]: Because he was drafted to a team who's GM, the GM that picked him got fired midway through the year.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: Because of the AJ Brown trade, AJ Brown came back to town and absolutely posturized them and bear us them and John Robinson was fired like the next day.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_01]: So the guy who took you was fired and the coach didn't really want you.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_01]: And so from there it was like it was it went south quickly and in that off season they went ahead and fell in love with will love us, you know, from better works.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and, and, and so they, that's where they took in the draft and then by the time he showed up to the next training camp, it's the will of us in Ryan Tana Hill show and Malay Willis is, there's no room for you.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and so other people will say, oh, he was beat out by these guys, but no, he wasn't, it wasn't that he was beat out.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_01]: It was that the guy who took him, the guy who,
- 24:11[SPEAKER_01]: was fired and then he had no backers.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: So in Miami, he, he needed with his new team, he needed backers.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_01]: And in Miami, he has Jeff Halfway of John Eric Sullivan.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_02]: All right, uh, last thing before we go to break and then the second half of the show, we're going to devote it completely to a kind of player, Malik Willis, is at least what the tape is showing us.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_02]: But last thing, we talk about upside down side,
- 24:35[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to give you, not that I believe any of this crap because it's I've been fighting it all day on Twitter, I've been fighting the good fight on Twitter.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_02]: The downside as it's explained to me by many of our listeners and fans on Twitter, I've said there is no downside.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_02]: a downside.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_02]: And then I said, if you're going to argue against this signing, just come out and say, I want to tank.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_02]: And all of a sudden, my entire line says, my entire feed is I want to tank.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I want to tank.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_02]: I want to tank.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_02]: I have about 16, I want to tanks.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_02]: Is that really the only argument against?
- 25:27[SPEAKER_01]: Malik Willis is that one that 10 diagram that Venn diagram is a circle.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I want to thank and Malik Willis is keeping me from my tank that is that is that is exactly what it is and it's it's just reflective of people have this very narrow narrow idea of how.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_01]: You acquire, you know, the quarterback of your dreams, they have a very narrow view of that.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_01]: And unfortunately, I don't think it's reflective of reality because you look across the league and you look at, you know, the Seattle seahawks, how did they just
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: how did the New England Patriots start their dynasty with Tom Brady was that a number one over all pick?
- 26:10[SPEAKER_01]: No, wasn't.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_01]: How did the Buccaneers end up winning a Super Bowl with Tom Brady as well?
- 26:16[SPEAKER_01]: They got him in free agency.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_01]: How did New Orleans end up winning a Super Bowl with Drew Breeze?
- 26:20[SPEAKER_01]: They got him in free agency, you know, how did they how did the can't even the can't city chiefs with Patrick poems?
- 26:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, they drafted him, but what are they but were they drafting?
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: Number one overall were they drafting in the top five.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: No, they were drafting later in the draft and traded up to what was it number 10 overalls and like that and got Patrick Mahomes it's a conviction game and it's a you have just like Russell Wilson, where did the sea out.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'll see he hops get him when he ended up a super bowl winning quarter.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_01]: You get them from every which direction and it's a conviction game and you always have to take the gamble you always have to take the gamble somebody's always going to say, you know, that's not the thing that you should be doing, but you have to take the high conviction gamble and that's the only way you come out with with these guys, but people have this like such the super duper narrow view of how you have to approach this like the runway, you know, how how you have to get it it has to involve.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_01]: losing a lot, getting the number one overall pick, and then all our dreams are fulfilled.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_01]: And that's it.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_01]: And that's it.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_01]: And it's so wrong.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's absolutely wrong.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: I can say without a doubt, it is wrong.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_01]: It is not how the NFL generally has done it.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_01]: And but unfortunately, I think people want life to be easy.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just not that easy.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was, I don't know who said, I believe it was Schneider, the, the, the, the general manager of the seahawks.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_02]: But it could have been, it could have even been, John Erick Sullivan, you know, repeating something that the John Schneider I said, which is, he was talking about the matte Flynn setting, we're over the matte Flynn signing in Seattle.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_02]: And he was talking about that was actually a perfect process, and you think it is a Whitman.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_02]: You give a bunch of money to map Flynn and then you find out that Russell Wilson is should be the starter all along.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_02]: How is that a perfect process that actually is?
- 28:19[SPEAKER_02]: You gave yourself two swings at finding that franchise quarterback and you found out, you know what?
- 28:25[SPEAKER_02]: This guy that we drafted in the second round is actually better.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_02]: Let's give him a shot and you got yourself a franchise quarterback for 10 years and you want to super ball, right?
- 28:35[SPEAKER_02]: I think this is a very similar thing.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_02]: I tried to tell people, look, you want to give yourself more swings, not less.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_02]: This is a good swing and not to simplify things.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_02]: If he's great, well, let's just pat ourselves in the back and we got ourselves a quarterback, right?
- 28:49[SPEAKER_02]: If he's just okay and you have some reservations, nobody's banning you from the 2027 draft will.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_01]: And last thing I'll say, because I know we got to get a break, but
- 29:02[SPEAKER_01]: I've talked about, I think I've talked about this on Twitter and I don't know if I've talked about it on the podcast, but we have this thing where when you have a quarterback, you're willing to spend $55 million a year on him to keep him around, but when you don't have a quarterback, what you end up doing is you really constrain your resource allocation to a fraction of that.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_01]: Even though you're kind of admitting that you are not a relevant team because you don't have a quarterback, right?
- 29:31[SPEAKER_01]: And this is kind of a pass-ac word thought, this is a light in business, you know, that I'm a portfolio management and financial, you know, a financial analyst.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's sort of like if you're a drug company and you're running into a patent cliff where your name brand drugs are about to go generic or something like that.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_01]: and you're like, oh, I'm going to wait until it goes generic and then we don't have a drug to sell for the company.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm also not going to spend any capital to go to go get a drug.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to wait until we are lab we get lucky.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just such a bad sack.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_01]: We're thought, you should be spending like a madman if you don't have a quarterback to try and buy in that quarterback because by your own admission, you're irrelevant.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_01]: You are an irrelevant team, you are, you don't have a seat at the table, you nobody, nobody cares about you, nobody likes you, nobody, nobody even wants to watch you, if you don't have a quarterback, you need to take the kitchen sink approach until you get one.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_01]: But we do the opposite.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: We do the opposite.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: We spend all our resources once we've already found the quarterback.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_01]: And then when we don't have the quarterback, we're like, well, here's what we're going to do.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to lose from the next two years and we tried losing this year, but it didn't work out.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_01]: We didn't get the right draft pick.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_01]: And so we're going to lose again.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to try and get the number one pick and we're going to lose.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: And then we're going to have the number one pick and then we're going to give him about five years to disprove that he's the guy that we've all been waiting for.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_01]: And then by the time you get down to it, you're like, well, it's been seven years now and the old trust the process from the 76ers.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: And the process is bullshit.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, the process is bullshit.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_01]: The process is total bullshit.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_01]: The son of a guy is kidding.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_01]: And he's a glass cannon approach.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: A glass cannon approach.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_01]: We are going to wait for the perfect shot.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_01]: And then we're going to take that one shot and then just wait to see if it worked.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_01]: And that's it.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_01]: And that's it.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know what?
- 31:40[SPEAKER_01]: And you know how you stay irrelevant for two decades?
- 31:45[SPEAKER_02]: I do precisely that.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_02]: Look at the, yeah, like I said, the 76ers spent six years on the tank, the trust the process tank and they got Joel and beat out of it.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_02]: So congratulations.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_02]: You got a guy that whose jersey you're going to retire out of it.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_02]: You never got out of the second round.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_02]: Never got out of the second round.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
- 32:05[SPEAKER_02]: Because you kept waiting for that next piece and the next piece.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_02]: And they were like, you know what, we're not tanking correctly now.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean, we're not to tank even more now you have to tank even harder to tank even harder and then okay now we have the young players now what we're going to do is We're going to spend like maniacs under the under the cap, you know, and we're going to get a Paul George and we're going to remember Kevin Lowry over what Kevin Lowry
- 32:30[SPEAKER_02]: They got lowery from the heat and they were like, he used the final piece, remember that?
- 32:35[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, that doesn't work.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_02]: And people have it, like, somebody was telling me today, like, look, if they were doing this right, they'd sell off every player on over 28.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like, then what?
- 32:48[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, you know what I mean?
- 32:49[SPEAKER_02]: Then what?
- 32:51[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know, you can do that.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_01]: You can value 20, 27.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_01]: instead of 2026.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_01]: So not value 2026 at all really.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_01]: But Malik Willis is a 2027 player.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_01]: Like he's not a 20, he's a 26 year old guy.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_01]: So like he's Malik Willis is about 2027.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_01]: Like this is this is the idea behind him.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_01]: So, if you're not going to get milk will it's because you have an in mind that you're going to tank and get a high pick and get a quarterback that way, what you're doing is saying, well, I'm not going to take gambles in favor of my future.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_01]: because I think that this way of taking the gamble is a superior way.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_01]: And again, that comes back to the narrow view.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's the only pathway that people that teams can take to get a franchise quarterback.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_01]: And it is absolutely positively unequivocally false that that is the only way to do it.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_01]: Or that it's even the most popular or best way to do it.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_01]: It's not, it's truly not.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: Look at the landscape.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I wish more people would do that, but you know, I think I think we just want things to be simple.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're going to go to break right now, but yeah, like you were saying, like everybody wants to emulate the Packers, the Steelers, you know, even the Cowboys to a certain extent, you know, which is perpetually relevant.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_02]: You know what those perpetually relevant teams never do?
- 34:17[SPEAKER_02]: They don't think.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_02]: They don't think ever.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_01]: They don't think.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: And they do take quarterbacks when they're on popular to be to be taken.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_02]: yeah people forget uh... how dac press got got to Dallas it they had totally rumble on the roster and they draft the dac press got and the first concussion oddly enough the total rumble took they said you know what dac you're in now he played great and they said you know what Tony uh... go to TV you know
- 34:49[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Link Packers fans wanted them to use that first round pick to help Brett Farve instead of taking Aaron Rogers or them or again, when they use the first round pick on Jordan love to help Aaron Rogers instead of instead of taking Jordan love.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah, they take a quarterback when it's fucking not popular to do it.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're going to go to break.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_02]: But first, let me tell you about factor.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_02]: They are with us for the calendar year.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_02]: So you'll be hearing about them and from them for the entire 2026 season.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_02]: So somewhere between the first one weekend and realizing short season is getting close.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_02]: Short season is pretty much every single day of the year for me.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_02]: On the 31st, it was actually 42 degrees and I was running around in short as I was watching the hurricanes beat the highest state buck I saw.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_02]: short season is a little bit overstated, but eating well stops feeling optional.

- 36:08[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, 100 rotating weekly meals.

- 36:57[SPEAKER_02]: Notice I don't start calling myself one take-out.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_02]: one take out you're like you're like what's his name Lawrence O'Donnell is like what is that or was a bill over and we're doing a live oh yeah um bill of Riley I think bill of Riley yeah fuck it would do a life yeah it's still one of the greatest videos of all time that's great okay yeah it really is you know uh but yeah I wanted to ask you a question have you ever been to Port St. Lucy
- 37:29[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, no, no, I don't think so.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, a great town.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_02]: Really sleepy, sleepy, sleepy, sleepy town.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_02]: Love the town.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think of my wife.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_01]: I have a quarter of pounds.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_02]: I might buy a house there for spring training every year, because I went to spring training for the Metz this year.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of fun.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you remember what sports is supposed to be like?
- 37:45[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I was there with my daughter.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_02]: We were having a blast, you know, having a dipping dot.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_02]: Do you like dipping dots?
- 37:53[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't say I like them, but I've had them.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_02]: You've had them because it's like a thing, right?
- 37:59[SPEAKER_02]: Like if you see them, you have to have them, right?
- 38:01[SPEAKER_02]: Especially if you have your kid with you, right?
- 38:04[SPEAKER_02]: If you have your kid with you, yes.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so yeah, naturally, like look, I'll even show you what we've got for them.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_02]: Like I got this full of dipping dots, you see it?
- 38:14[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_02]: And my daughter got this.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_01]: little mits see now that brings back that's nostalgic I used to get ice cream I used to get ice cream out of those things as a kid all the time Because with the Charlotte Rangers were in my whole are not Charlotte and well there the yes the Charlotte Rangers were in my home top the Texas Rangers were in my home town for spring break or spring training sorry um shows how much I know about baseball uh
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, they were always in my hometown where I grew up for spring training every single year.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_01]: And so we'd go to the stadium and you know, get those.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you have a, well, you live right now right across the street from Raymond James stadium.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_02]: The way he's been training right there.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_01]: So really nice stadium, too.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_02]: Like, yeah, yeah, so you could go, you could go see Aaron judge in the house.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and to be fair, I have a couple of times, but only a couple.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_02]: Well, let's talk about Malik Willeth.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think we're getting a good player.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_02]: As far as I can tell from the snaps, I've actually, they're limited snaps, okay?
- 39:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_02]: We're not talking, you know, 40, 50 games here to analyze.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_02]: So it was kind of easy to watch his tail.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_02]: But you realize, this is a pretty good player.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_02]: At least what he's put on tape for the last two seasons.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm gonna run down my notes.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_02]: These are the notes that I had on Discord.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_02]: Trust me, it's not too long.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's a bunch of little bullet points.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_02]: Are you gonna tell me what you think of them?
- 39:41[SPEAKER_02]: Like I wrote, and each one of these is like a little bullet.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_02]: I wrote.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_02]: Great on naked plays.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_02]: Really good at throwing the dig, reading the hash safety.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_02]: really good at throwing GB's favorite, which is green-based favorite, over-hage high-low concept.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_02]: That's something that Tung-Avaloa would never throw.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_02]: He hated the throw that corner up.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I guess he felt that he was getting squeezed by the safety and the sinking corner and he felt like queasy about throwing it in there.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_02]: Malik was going to give a crap.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to fire that thing right in there.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_02]: He's average at throwing speedouts.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_02]: He is a bit inaccurate in the quick game.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_02]: You could see it and he loses his feet for whatever reason.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_01]: If he has one thing to take, yeah, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's footwork off the, um, I think a little bit odd footwork off of the, um, off of the, the quick, uh, the quick drop.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he needs to work on his footwork, I wrote.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_02]: Spectacular is a space runner.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_02]: Look, there's a play where I got a gig a lot of it and I posted it in our discord.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_02]: Where Kurt Warner's like, oh, this is just awful.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_02]: He's not reading this right.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_02]: And I think he called it a popcorn combination.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_02]: And he's like, this thing is but make it open.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Malik will as pulls it down, doesn't throw it.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_02]: But he takes off and he gains 16 yards.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_02]: You know, uh, I got a gig a lot of like, okay, so his bad play is a 16 yard game.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_01]: That's all right versus versus a feet through it and get a five yard game.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, pretty much.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, I wrote takes on this so he hits that happens.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_02]: especially on QB power.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_02]: He will put his head down through that anymore.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_02]: You're the starting quarterback here.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_02]: Not that I want to get into your head, but it's like, you know, it's okay.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_02]: Now right game 20 yards of slide.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_02]: That's a good thing.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_02]: I wrote he drops his eyes to interior pressure, but he stands tall to edge pressure.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_02]: And so I think you're able to move this team to get the the guard situation right because he's a guy who doesn't like trash not that every quarterback, you know, the any quarterback likes trash at their feet, but he's susceptible to dropping his eyes and getting skittish with trash at his feet.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_02]: And then I wrote response with aggression to congestion, which is a good thing like he identifies if there's somebody one on one you're going to get shot.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_02]: So another team building thing that they got to do get big wide receivers like a 150 boss because Malik Willis will give you a shot and the last thing I wrote was he times wheel routes well and he's willing to throw the corner against tight coverages, which is something we haven't seen for a very long time down here.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe since Damarino, I think that's the last quarterback or actually do stuff like that.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's a couple of really nice throws over the middle of the deep middle that some good stabs in there that I think stood out because of the decision making you wrote you mentioned something about the aggression.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that that really pops on one or two of his bigger plays.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_01]: Actually, there's the aggressiveness.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_01]: To the point where some people might even think that you shouldn't have thrown it.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think that that's.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_01]: that stands out.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_01]: Listen, the one thing that I have an issue with Kurt's analysis, and I think he does a great job of dissecting the schemes and sort of telling you what's going on.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_01]: you know what he would prefer and maybe you know what's missing here in terms of the decision-making and things like that but he is very reductive and he's very reductive and now you see it based off of Kurt's you know talk you see other people kind of just saying the same thing you know like everything just boils down to these these 28 throws
- 43:46[SPEAKER_01]: Um, which I think is just, uh, for lack of better term bullshit.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and so because he had 150 reps on tape, uh, you know, over the last two years, and I'm not just, I'm not talking about hand off either.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_01]: Um, with the Green Bay Packers and it all counts.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: And it's all, it's all situation management.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_01]: And so you have to look at everything that he did.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_01]: um, because it all goes into situation, foundational situational management.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that he, um, he did a good job with all of it.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think the things that stood out to me, uh, looking at it over the, the course of the two years was after a while, you mentioned like some, some inaccuracy
- 44:44[SPEAKER_01]: hit the ground for any reason right you know he didn't throw balls that were that demanded circus catches.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_01]: We're talking about minor minor changes in in ball placement that could be needed on some of those on some of those outs.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_01]: Generally speaking, we're talking about my very minor inaccuracy, if any inaccuracy at all.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_01]: So actually one of the things that stands out about him over the two years is, I don't know if he was just on a hot streak.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_01]: you know, shooters going a hot streak, right?
- 45:22[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I don't know if he was just on a hot streak, but he had one of the best accuracy streaks over the course of two years in multiple multiple short burst games when you put it all together.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_01]: Um, one of the best accuracy streaks I basically ever seen.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_01]: Because and you have to step back and really evaluate it as a whole in order to
- 45:49[SPEAKER_01]: last because quarterbacks miss and actually miss a fair amount, you know, and especially you know, looking at Josh Allen early in his career and stuff, but, but no, I mean quarterbacks miss to a misses, you know, and this guy didn't miss and he used different platforms from within the pocket.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_01]: to get the ball out, and so I think that he sees things in a little bit of a different way as far as his ability to get the ball there with his arm and that's which stands out to me is the aggressiveness with the arm and his arm slotting and the ability to place the ball where he wants to get it and with the velocity that he gets it, it bleeds into every aspect of his
- 46:37[SPEAKER_01]: And then the second thing that bleeds into is every aspect of his decision making, which you kind of brought up Kurt Warner would bring up as a negative which is pulling down the ball and running, but that's because he has 437 speed.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_01]: And when you have 437 speeds, sometimes the correct call is to read this read this level of the defense and then feel the space here.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_01]: get off get it get out because it's third night and you can go get 12.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and and I said I think that I think that that's that's where he stands as a quarterback.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't see being reductive about it.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like see peeling the onion until there's nothing left.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_01]: to what it was in the late 90s when Kirk has started, then you're gonna have nothing left because that's not the modern game anymore.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that it's unfortunate to get caught on stuff like that.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_01]: Does decision making know it's not perfect?
- 47:51[SPEAKER_01]: I counted several times where I saw and where he wasn't reading the field correctly.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_01]: But also I've seen that so many times with so many quarterbacks.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_01]: All of them.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_01]: you know.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's sort of like there's no mistake that is the third rail.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_01]: But I think sometimes we treat certain kinds of mistakes as if it is a third rail.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like if you make a mistake in this way, then that means secretly your bullshit.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_01]: And no, not really.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_01]: If you make a mistake in your accuracy, that doesn't mean your bullshit quarterback.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_01]: You know, if you've, if you've got some inaccuracy going on, it doesn't mean you're a bullshit quarterback.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's, it's still all the total package.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think that what you're, what you're going to find is that, you know, yeah, he, there, there will be field reading issues at times.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_01]: And it might get worse if he doesn't have, if he doesn't have good receivers, but that doesn't make him a bad quarterback.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and on on the tape one thing I'll say that is really evident right away is the faith that a coach has a new when he's calling again and against the ravens and kudos to in fact look I'm going to give them let me give them some props they deserve it uh go check out the the home grown with David and Derek car podcasts okay they have a breakdown on mulliquelis on there
- 49:22[SPEAKER_02]: where it's third and 16.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_02]: Third and 16, like really, what are you doing?
- 49:25[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, you know, the score is not hopeless.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_02]: I think you were in a field goal at the time.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's third and 16, you're at your own 40.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_02]: Run the ball, right?
- 49:34[SPEAKER_02]: Or set up a screen or something so you could punt advantageously.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_02]: Or maybe you get lucky and you gain 12 on the screen.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_02]: And they got fourth and fourth, but maybe you could kick a 50 at your field goal.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_02]: Nope, that's not what they do.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_02]: Matt LaForeau decides, you know what?
- 49:48[SPEAKER_02]: We're gonna get J&M read and we're gonna release them inside.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_02]: of roll quant Smith because usually when you release and this is a great little, you know.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_02]: This is a great thing that the cars pointed out, which is whenever you release inside of the linebackers.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, inside of the, the Mike Linebacker, and they're in zone.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_02]: They usually lose sight of that receiver because they just assume that guys run in scene and they'll squeeze the hashes, which opens up the outside.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_02]: So, Derek Carter was saying, I always told my receivers, release inside of the linebacker.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_02]: I know they're like, yeah, but I gotta get out there, release inside of the linebacker.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_02]: And sure enough, they run a route where Jaden Reed releases inside of Rhoquant Smith, and he runs a double move wheel, and Malik Will is finds him for a 19-yard game and a first-down.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_01]: And remember that play on the, on the, on the, on the right side?
- 50:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, on the right side.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_02]: It takes courage and it takes a head coach.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_02]: Matt LaFlor is pretty good head coach.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_02]: Trust me, we want to know.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, to say, you know what?
- 50:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's my backup quarterback, but we're gonna run this shit right here.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_02]: And again, though, we need to get, okay, we're gonna run this right here because I think we could get a first down on it.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'll tell you this, watching his tape, and I've heard this all day today.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, but the Packers have all this talent.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_02]: They have a running back, they have offensive line.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'll give you the offensive line.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_02]: They're off the line.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's pretty dang good.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_02]: And I kept you all, they have wide receivers.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_02]: And tight ends.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, they have all those things.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_02]: OK?
- 51:20[SPEAKER_02]: First of all, they don't have tight ends when Malekuilis was on there.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_02]: This Tucker craft was already in the shirt.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_02]: OK?
- 51:26[SPEAKER_02]: And Luke Musgrave, for lack of a better word, sucks.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so what do they really have?
- 51:34[SPEAKER_02]: Well, they have a good offensive line and Jacob's is a nice running back I would I'm pretty certain that the Von Hann is better But I came away thinking Romeo dobs and and Christian Watson are not good wide receiver Jain and Reed is not a good he had a good thing with Romeo was a little bit more challenging.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think
- 51:55[SPEAKER_01]: when Malik was in.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think Romeo is better at other times.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_01]: Jaden Reed was a very good receiver for him.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_01]: Christian Watson was a good receiver to for Malik Willis.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_01]: I think they had chemistry and they had a connection going on and you could see it.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_01]: And so you're kind of hoping that that you can reproduce that a little bit in Miami, so that's something to think about, you know, a Christian is one of the reasons that I brought up in the free agent cheat sheet, you know,
- 52:33[SPEAKER_01]: Tyquan Thornton is a guy that, you know, I could see being like a Christian Watson for Malik Willis, but I won't deny he had a good cast.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_01]: He had a good receiving cast.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, my issue with Christian Watson and Romeo Dubs.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_02]: Mostly with Christian Watson is
- 52:53[SPEAKER_02]: I couldn't really find a rhyme or reason to the route study was running because look and the NFL we do certainly well we like I'm speaking like a mama coach but they do certain things that don't ask me why but it's football okay football reasons all right you run routes at eight and 16 yards okay sometimes you run a met four eight and 12
- 53:16[SPEAKER_02]: You never run on my five, 10 or 15, okay?
- 53:19[SPEAKER_02]: Those things just don't exist.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_02]: For whatever reason, don't ask me why it's football, okay?
- 53:24[SPEAKER_02]: It's been that way since I was playing football in high school.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_02]: And for whatever reason, I do see Christian Watson wandering all the time in like, no man's lying.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, what kind of route is this, you know what I mean?
- 53:36[SPEAKER_02]: And that's my beef with him.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_02]: So let's, let's finish up the show here.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_02]: What does he need?
- 53:44[SPEAKER_02]: Man, let's get this kid a guard and I saw that I don't know if we're going to have the money for it.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if we have the budget for it, but ojin Jenkins got cut.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_02]: I'm pretty certain he can play guard for us.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_02]: It sure be nice to keep a nice and clean up the middle, right?
- 54:00[SPEAKER_01]: Well, one guy that I that I liked and already went off unfortunately is quarter of also.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that he's actually quite good at past protection.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and, and he just played in a Cincinnati system where, you know, it's Joe Burrow.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_01]: So you're dropping back, I don't know how many times 700 times in the season.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, you know, whatever.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_01]: And, um, and so it's, and it's all dropping back.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_01]: And it's all, it's all, it's all drop back offense and, you know, not really doing anything to to mix things up.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_01]: And, um, and so it, and ends up exposing some of the offensive line.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_01]: But I felt even so I felt that it was the tackles, not the, not the guards and not, not Bolson, but he went off.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_01]: So that's out.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I agree with you.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to have to get stronger up the, up the middle and pass protection.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_01]: I think that he can do more things against edge pressure because of his natural mobility.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_01]: and ability to buy by time and space.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, you're going to have to get stout up the middle, do better than Jonas of Iania.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, better than James Daniels, who wasn't on the field anyway.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, there's that'll definitely be a thing, but I do think the receiving unit needs to need to be a little bit better.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_01]: I do think there needs to be size there.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_01]: And what did you make up?
- 55:30[SPEAKER_02]: What did you make up the news that came out today?
- 55:32[SPEAKER_02]: I think we could confirm it.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's been, by the way, it was reported from two very credible sources as well that Miami was beaten by the the Arizona Cardinals for
- 55:42[SPEAKER_02]: the Miami did make an offer for Kendrick Bourne, so what are your thoughts about that?
- 55:47[SPEAKER_01]: Because I like it.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I just thought it was pretty good.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I thought it was.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_01]: He is good, but I thought that's a pretty classic.
- 55:54[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he works a slot a lot, don't he?
- 55:57[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, so.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_01]: Our can works a slot a lot.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_01]: I just thought as a as a fit, as a slot player, maybe,
- 56:13[SPEAKER_01]: Jalen Waddle to be used more in speed functions.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think it was that big of a deal would be honest.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_01]: But I think that they're going to need some size.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're going to need some size, and they're going to need some verticality, not just from Jalen Waddle.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_01]: So that's a thing that listen, Malik will is one of the reasons that he's so off the charts
- 56:43[SPEAKER_01]: analytics is because of his deep throes and the success was deep grows and the accuracy of his deep grows and you're going to need size and verticality I think to to to do that with him and continue that and I think that it probably is important to his game because when that's not there and if you're if you're sharing the defense
- 57:13[SPEAKER_01]: with his likes.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_01]: If everything's crowded at the line of scrimmage, everything's short, then you're damaging his ability to use his feet as a weapon.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_01]: But the other thing that people don't think about a lot is at the end of game, in end of half and end of game situations.
- 57:35[SPEAKER_01]: When you're trying to deal with a quarterback that has the pure tool set,
- 57:40[SPEAKER_01]: that Malik will as hats in terms of his arm to hit you on, you know, deeper on all parameters, but also for 37 speed.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_01]: Those end-of-half scenarios are hell on a defense, are absolutely hell, especially end-of-game whenever everybody's tired.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's when you're, that's when you're going to find that it's the most compelling to me is these end of half an end of game scenarios where you've got teams that are tired defenses that are tired a little bit and then a quarterback who is dynamic and can do it all himself in a moment when he needs to do it all himself.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_01]: And that's where that's the promise, that's the, that's what we're hoping for with him.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I think that this is, this is a great stab for the dolphins to try and take a shot on a potential franchise quarterback.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_01]: That's what you're doing.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_01]: Just think of it like you took a second round pick.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_01]: You took a second, you used a second rounder on a quarterback who has 437 speed in a canon arm and played in your system and put together off the charts analytics and against real NFL defenses and is still only 26 years old and if you have that person in the draft today, where would you draft them?
- 59:06[SPEAKER_01]: Well, probably in the first round, frankly.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_01]: And, and the Dolphins got them at a price tag that is the, you know, is a cap asset equivalent of a second round draft it.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_01]: All right, that sounds like a deal to me.
- 59:20[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that sounds like a great deal.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_01]: So quit your bitch and go on with it.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'll tell you one thing, they added a page to their playbook, because I said, in fact, I'm going to make a bet with anybody that wants to take me up on it.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_02]: Malik will just over under 50 yard touchdown this year, runny.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_02]: And I could see him getting a 50 yard plus touchdown this year.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_02]: I'll tell you one thing, third and one just got a little, a little easier.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_02]: No, third and two got easier, third and three got easier.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_01]: You got options, you got options now.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_01]: But you had a right point because he in college, he ran so hard and would such strength and power in college, especially when he was at, when he was at Auburn.
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_01]: I almost wanted to evaluate the guy as a running back at times, you know, especially early in his college career, when he was with the Auburn, because he has that he has the same dimensions, strength, build, toughness as a running back and he certainly has the speed and elusiveness off of that.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_01]: And so, but you're almost going to have to cure that out of him, because, again, we don't want our guys injured.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_01]: But on the other hand,
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to fill the quarterback room.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to draft a tail and green this year.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_01]: Or they're going to draft a coal patent or maybe, you know, the guy that I've always had a kind of a taking a shine to is jail and Daniels who's basically like a Malik Willis.
- 1:00:56[SPEAKER_02]: like you know like you would see would actually go that the draft but you would you go the draft route and replace queen yours or you would go the draft route to complete the the room with queen you would you need three guys you need three guys personally I don't know what you think about my idea but if the musical chairs
- 1:01:16[SPEAKER_02]: You know, if the musical core back chairs, you know, the music stops and genosmith is just left their standing.
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_02]: I don't mind genosmith as the backup to Malik Wallace.
- 1:01:26[SPEAKER_02]: He's an old head.
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of experience.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe a good voice for the quarterback room.
- 1:01:32[SPEAKER_02]: You like the love it.
- 1:01:33[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, I don't think I don't see what you know, like I don't want to spend money on it.
- 1:01:38[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and if you know is Gino really going to take a veteran minimum contract, I don't think.
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_02]: Well, the Raiders are paying them thirty four million dollars, so oh, is he is he is he going to get the the veterans minimum?
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_01]: Does he want does he want Miami now after I didn't realize that he was from here.
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_01]: I thought his guarantee money was smaller to where he might get paid more than that like more than he's thirty four years old here's my here's my here's my sales pitch he's thirty four years old
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_02]: played high school ball at Miramar, which is about eight minutes away from the training facility.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_02]: He was born here, so he's essentially coming home.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_02]: He gets to be the old head in the room.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_02]: And like I said, you're not going to want for money.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_02]: The writers are paying you a pretty big check.
- 1:02:29[SPEAKER_02]: And a Malik Willis gets injured, you know, you step in as the backup, you know?
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_01]: So it's not, let's hope the day I would say at the end of the day, I would say no, because I think that 2026 is not going to be a good year no matter how you slice it.
- 1:02:43[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think that, uh, Gino Smith would be here for that one year, particularly since we're talking about that veteran minimum one year.
- 1:02:52[SPEAKER_01]: That veteran minimum because he's getting paid elsewhere.
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he's not going to be paid elsewhere in 2027, right?
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_01]: So you're getting that price break in 2026.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_01]: So this is a 2026 current asset.
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think we need current assets.
- 1:03:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think we need, I think we need long-lived assets.
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think that I would still rather fill up the quarterback room
- 1:03:14[SPEAKER_01]: with our third from the draft and then circle back in 2027 and reassess and say, okay, that's when yours need to be here.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_01]: Does the rookie that we just drafted maybe tailing green, we draft him and he's bullshit.
- 1:03:27[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_01]: Or and and then will Malik will, as I think he was guaranteed two years.
- 1:03:35[SPEAKER_01]: So
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be here, and he might, and even if you draft a guy, he said, you draft LeRoRo ourselves in the first round.
- 1:03:43[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it doesn't mean you're starting him in the first round.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_01]: starting him after that.
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's not the Green Bay way.
- 1:03:48[SPEAKER_01]: They had Aaron Rodgers sit forever.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_01]: They had Jordan loves it for a while.
- 1:03:53[SPEAKER_01]: That's why they were okay with guaranteeing two years to Malik Willis is because even if they circle back and get Lenora Sellers or Dante Moore or whoever in the first round next year, that guy is probably not going to be starting.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be Malik Willis again probably.
- 1:04:09[SPEAKER_01]: So I think you fill up that room with another draft pick this year and then you reassess after the year does when you are still need to be here does the draft picks still need to be here does I'm like, well, this is probably still going to be here, but One of those two can be replaced by another guy, let's say next year, maybe it is a first round pick, maybe it's not a first round pick, maybe it's maybe it's the guy that we've talked about.
- 1:04:31[SPEAKER_01]: Jaden Mayava, and the second round, or something like that, you know, I think that I think that's the idea behind continuing to spend the assets continuing to do the work on the position to make sure that you're good over the long term in the position.
- 1:04:52[SPEAKER_01]: And I'll see Gina with some of the really filling that.
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_01]: I see Gina Smith being your backup.
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_01]: for a season this year that you know you're hoping to make a run you're hoping to go for it you know and you don't want to be screwed by a quarterback injury and and so that's where that's why you get the genus myth but that's just incompatible with how I'm thinking about this year in the future for this team.
- 1:05:15[SPEAKER_02]: All right, and we're gonna leave it there.
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_02]: If you want more content, you're gonna get plenty of it this week.
- 1:05:20[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, I do an only friend's Q&A show.
- 1:05:22[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna do that probably tomorrow.
- 1:05:25[SPEAKER_02]: I got my show, the off season with merit parade, and of course, don't forget on Thursday.
- 1:05:30[SPEAKER_02]: It's been a hit on our feed.
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_02]: I know because I look at the download numbers and it's been a hit on YouTube.
- 1:05:36[SPEAKER_02]: Check out Kyle Crabs and Simon Clancy with their NFL Draft Show.
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_02]: the low red zone and check out Simon Clancy's sub stack I was put a link in every single one in fact you can see right there it's the low red zone dot sub stack dot com go check that out as well all right we will talk to you again next week as we start to ease into draft season but we're probably doing other free agency show next week as the dolphins fill out this roster with a bevy or a bushel of one year deals
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_02]: Um, because, yeah, the, the budget's pretty tight, but I, I do want Malik Wilson to get a little bit of help here, all right.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want him to go out there, you know, with with with just one magazine, all right.
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_02]: Go out there with his, you know, because I really do believe, and this is the last thing.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_02]: I really do believe that he's been handed a nice starter kit.
- 1:06:27[SPEAKER_02]: He's been handed in my estimation for high end players.
- 1:06:32[SPEAKER_02]: You know I'm a fan of Patrick Paul's work last year.
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_02]: We know Aaron Brewer.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_02]: Well, he was an all-pro.
- 1:06:37[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not I'm not coming down the the mountain with the tablets on that one, okay You know I like Jalen Wattle and Devon H and I think is a star.
- 1:06:45[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's a top of my back So I think he has a nice little starter kit, but it's incomplete.
- 1:06:50[SPEAKER_02]: You need guards.
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_02]: You need probably two more pass catchers You know, they got work to do they got work to do and we'll talk about it beginning next week but
