- 0:28Good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30It It's pretty windy out here today so hopefully we do not
- 0:33have lots of wind in the mic. I'm going to work on that but
- 0:36hopefully it's not too bad. So at least you know I'm in real
- 0:40conditions out here and and dealing with the elements that
- 0:43have happening around me. So today we are talking about
- 0:47the value of not getting what you want immediately.
- 0:52When I was a child, I was taught to save for things.
- 0:56I was taught that I had to save my money to buy up things.
- 0:59I was taught that I To work for what I wanted.
- 1:04I had the joy of, I couldn't know, instantly the answers of
- 1:08things. I have the joy of waiting, the
- 1:09joy of seeing how things went and I'll be quite honest with
- 1:12you. There were times that that
- 1:14really pissed me off, I didn't like it.
- 1:16And I wanted to be able to get what I wanted immediately in
- 1:19that that level of instant gratification is is a true thing
- 1:24for human beings. You know, we want what we want
- 1:26when we want it and we don't want to wait and I have often
- 1:30Often throughout my life, had to work on this in myself because I
- 1:34am easily swayed into getting what I want immediately.
- 1:39But as time goes by and as you grow up and as you learn things,
- 1:42you start to recognize that there is value in, not getting
- 1:46what you want immediately. There's value in having to take
- 1:50time and work for things. There's value in saying I poured
- 1:53in all this effort into myself and then that became something
- 1:57for me as a human being That I'm able to, you know, recognize I
- 2:04did, I created this. So it's kind of think of it like
- 2:07a working on a painting or, you know, if somebody for all my
- 2:12guys out there that are listening.
- 2:13If you're someone that refurbishes cars, like you can't
- 2:17refurbish a car in the day. There's no instant gratification
- 2:20with it, it's a process and It's taking that mentality and
- 2:26saying, I'm going to bring that forward to other things in my
- 2:28life like building my business. I didn't just get to have the
- 2:32business. I have overnight.
- 2:34It took a lot of effort, a lot of work, a lot of pain, a lot of
- 2:37triumphs, a lot of fun, but it also took a massive amount of
- 2:42effort, and it continues to be a massive amount of effort because
- 2:46it's, it's a process to to coach people at the level at which I
- 2:51coach them. So I can tell you.
- 2:53Right now that from from my perspective of saying, you know,
- 2:59there's value and not always getting what you want, you have
- 3:02to back up and say to yourself. Okay well what are the things
- 3:05that I really want to work on that?
- 3:07I'm willing to work on to see where they bring me.
- 3:11And if you can start to reverse engineer this a little bit and
- 3:14look at it and say I'm willing to work for this, I'm willing to
- 3:18make the effort for this. I think this would be tremendous
- 3:20if I did have this or do this or On this, I promise you it
- 3:26creates such a feeling of joy and accomplishment when you do
- 3:31that the right way for yourself. So where is the showing up for
- 3:35you? Where are you willing to pour in
- 3:37and say you know what, it's worth the effort.
- 3:40Now this can be something that's physical like losing weight,
- 3:44getting healthy, getting strong, something that I'm diligently
- 3:47working on myself, don't really talk about it that much because
- 3:51it's my own thing that I have to.
- 3:53Of to focus on but getting really strong.
- 3:56I don't want to be an old woman who's not strong that, that just
- 4:01the thought of that makes me ill.
- 4:03So that's not happening, but taking the time and the effort
- 4:09and pouring into that, that's not something I can get instant
- 4:12gratification on. I actually have to work at that
- 4:15over time and the more I pour into it, the better I become and
- 4:19the stronger. Again, the more I do just like
- 4:21building up doing the steps. And working working working
- 4:25towards having a high level of Step count every day.
- 4:28So again, one of those big pieces of the puzzle is looking
- 4:32and saying, okay well what is it?
- 4:34That is worth the effort? What do I want to look at myself
- 4:37and no, I did that. I want to be proud of whether
- 4:40it's writing a book. I have a lot of people in my
- 4:43life right now that want to write books and I say it's worth
- 4:47the effort. It's worth the effort to know
- 4:50when it's done that. Your name is on something and
- 4:52that you're published. Act whether you publish it
- 4:54yourself or you publish it through Amazon or anybody else.
- 4:58It's worth the effort to see it. Trust me.
- 5:00I know having written books. It's worth it and it can.
- 5:04Again, it can be, this can be anything.
- 5:06If it's a project you want to create for yourself.
- 5:09It's if it's up, leveling your clients.
- 5:11If it's changing your work, all of that is massive in your
- 5:16personal growth. So I'm going to challenge you to
- 5:19go out and say you know, really take a Good hard look and say
- 5:26what is worth me? Not getting it immediately.
- 5:30What is worth my effort? You know, what do I want to pour
- 5:33into? Because immediate gratification
- 5:35is great and there are things that are really worth my effort
- 5:39that are not immediate. What are those things?
- 5:42What do I want to pour into knowing that we've got only a
- 5:45couple more weeks of this year to go and you have a choice to
- 5:50make before you start setting your goals, what's going to be
- 5:52worth it for you? So, I hope you guys have a
- 5:55blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 5:57Bye. So, I hope you guys have a
- 5:55blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 5:57Bye.
