- 0:29Good morning from the Chicken Coop.
- 0:31So today I want to talk to you about finding the purpose in the
- 0:35pain. This is something that you can
- 0:39take across the board with you, whether it's a pain of your body
- 0:43being sore. When you're working out, the
- 0:45pain of trying to learn something new and struggling
- 0:47with it, the pain of dealing with people situations, all
- 0:52these different things that we can deem painful in our life.
- 0:55When this shows up, asking yourself the question, what is
- 0:59the purpose in the pain? Really gives us a scope of being
- 1:03able to say there is more to this than meets the eye in this
- 1:07moment because our inclination our immediate inclination is to
- 1:12always ask the question. Why is this happening to me?
- 1:15Why is this happening to me? And I've heard people many times
- 1:19in my life say, oh well, it's not happening to you.
- 1:22It's happening for you. And that's really frustrating
- 1:24when someone says that to you and you're not feeling good
- 1:26about something, it's just a it's just a very frustrating
- 1:28thing to hear, but Sometimes asking the question, what is the
- 1:33purpose in it? What is the purpose in the pain?
- 1:36What is the purpose? I can learn from something is
- 1:41much more powerful and I for myself, I know that this is
- 1:47always made a tremendous difference to me when I take
- 1:49that on and I start to focus on it in that direction because
- 1:54there is purpose in things and we just have to make a
- 1:58distinction of looking for it. It's kind of like Honing in your
- 2:03focus. When you walk into your pantry
- 2:05or you going to a cabinet and you're looking for something
- 2:08instead of just walking in and gazing over, if you have a
- 2:10specific purpose and you're looking for something specific,
- 2:13you start to see something specific as opposed to when
- 2:16you're just gazing, you're not actually seeing the specifics
- 2:19pieces so it's kind of like think of it as if I put my
- 2:24question and my attention on, what is the purpose in this
- 2:28pain? You're going to get a much
- 2:30better answer. Sir for yourself, you're going
- 2:31to start to find it and it's not to torture.
- 2:34You lessons, come in so many different sizes, shapes and just
- 2:40awareness has. And if there's one thing that I
- 2:43have learned in my life, can always connect, the dots,
- 2:46immediately, sometimes things take time to marinate and to
- 2:52show up. And to really give Clarity to
- 2:54something, you know, I I will use this as an example often
- 2:59just because it was such a Powerful thing to me when I lost
- 3:03my dad, I was young and I lost my dad.
- 3:06I mean, it wasn't so young wasn't I was in my twenties
- 3:08early 20s but that was Monumental for me and I couldn't
- 3:13understand because he was my person and I couldn't understand
- 3:17how that happened. I couldn't understand.
- 3:19You know, he was so young, he was 57, how could that possibly
- 3:23be the case? And I just couldn't fathom it.
- 3:28And I kept thinking and thinking and thinking, Thinking you know,
- 3:31what was the purpose for taking somebody?
- 3:33That was so good. That was such a vital part of my
- 3:36life and it just didn't make any sense, but I had to let it go
- 3:42and I had to move on because that's what life is about,
- 3:45right? You have to never stop missing
- 3:47him. Still miss him every single day,
- 3:50but I have to move on. I can't I can't dwell in that
- 3:54moment. I have to dwell in other
- 3:55moments. Moving forward and just letting
- 4:00it be all of a sudden I started to realize if I had still had
- 4:05him in my life, I would have never developed the skills that
- 4:10I have that. I'm using for all of you right
- 4:12now because I wouldn't have gone into coaching.
- 4:14I wouldn't have gone into self-development.
- 4:16I wouldn't have done those things.
- 4:17I would have stayed doing the things that I had always done
- 4:20and remaining in marketing remaining in doing real estate
- 4:24things with him. I would never have Run into this
- 4:28in the way that I did and I certainly would have never taken
- 4:31off and traveled. The world working with Tony
- 4:33Robbins. I just wouldn't have done it.
- 4:35I just did not make any sense because I didn't like leaving
- 4:38him. I wanted to always be like, with
- 4:42my family. He was my person and it was too
- 4:45hard. And if he had chosen to stick
- 4:49around, if his life had gone longer, if his soul had decided
- 4:52to stay longer for whatever reason, it didn't I just would
- 4:57not have become the person that I am so I can sit back and I can
- 5:01think to myself, I found purpose in the pain, I found that this
- 5:06is my soul's work and without having that kind of love from
- 5:10him without having that kind of gifts the gift.
- 5:14I got from him, I could not have brought these gifts that I have
- 5:18and give to all of you and give to myself and give to my family
- 5:22and and everybody else. So sometimes it takes a while to
- 5:26connect those Those dots be patient, ask the right questions
- 5:30and look and I promise you at some point, you will be able to
- 5:33connect the dots in one way, shape or form.
- 5:36I hope this is helpful. I hope you guys have a very
- 5:39blessed day and I will see you all tomorrow morning.
- 5:41Bye.
