- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: patch that I know music no intro we are back and we are joined with our friend our buddy Greg Rosenthall of NFL Daily these things block party podcasts brought to you by myself Adam and my co-host Ryan aka Wolf it has been a
- 0:20[SPEAKER_01]: very long time since you've joined us, but we have been on and if a day the multiple times things to great kindness on, but this is the first time you've been on the show since we've rebranded.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's like what?
- 0:29[SPEAKER_01]: Two points.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_04]: That's true.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_04]: It is not true.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, the last show you were on it was we were still hatched.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_01]: When was the podcast?
- 0:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's been it's been that long now.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's okay.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_04]: It is but I've seen you in real life a bunch though Like shouldn't have worked more that's real.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, maybe not to you, but you know it It absolutely is to me Like we had to get Greg on because the SPP
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: meet-up game is happening on Sunday.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of our community members will be making the trek to New Orleans this week this weekend for us to have a great time in New Orleans to experience the Saints in Patrius game on Sunday.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: And so we had to get Greg on to this show.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_01]: So welcome back and thanks for coming on and just chopping up and talking Saints in Patrius with us.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_04]: We've already interrupted you two times.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_04]: That's a bad job before you even.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_04]: introduce me, but I don't feel that bad about it because I already plugged this appearance ahead of time on our preview show.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_04]: So, so check that out.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_04]: While, while, while talking Saints Patriots, I, I said, you know, this is going to be, this is a fun game.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_04]: Like, this is, this is a sneaky dangerous game for the Patriots.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it really is.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_01]: I just wanted to just talk about, I was thinking about this before you came on, like the privilege you've had as a patriot's fan.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_01]: I've just, just, in my head, I was like, okay, he saw his team win five Super Bowls.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: You draft the first round quarter, okay, sorry, six.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_01]: That's from exactly my point.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_01]: You see your team draft Mac Jones, first round pick at quarterback, it doesn't work out.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_01]: And now you just happen to be in the draft, picking high enough and get Drake May, who looks like a dude in the league.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_04]: It's shaped, well, I mean, I'm a shameful fan because when Bella check, when Brady left, I was like, is there ever gonna be that good again?
- 2:26[SPEAKER_04]: I'm kind of, I do this for work.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_04]: It's too stressful.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_04]: I'm kind of out.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_04]: That's true.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_04]: But then Drake may, all that season, largely because of Nate Tyson was so big on him before his last season at UNC Drake may, that I was, I just started watching him every week and I was like, this might be my favorite prospect and in a decade.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_04]: I don't remember, like Andrew Luck was a great prospect.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_04]: Cam was a great prospect.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_04]: James was, but like, I think Drake made, but it might be my favorite prospect.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_04]: And they almost blew it because they beat the Broncos at the end of that season.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, they're gonna lose Drake made, but then everyone got into Jayden Daniels and they got Drake made anyways.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_04]: And so now I'm all the way back.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_04]: And if it wasn't for Drake, I don't think these two teams are that different.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_04]: It's just the Patriots have a better quarterback.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't say, I didn't say this.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_02]: That's this was funny.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_02]: I'll say, maybe a couple of weeks ago, it was like, oh, you know, Patriots, you know, that might be our chance to get a dog right there.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_02]: Now it's looking like, ah, I don't know.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's teams, or yeah, they're kind of even, but like, trick me.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't, I haven't watched the turn of them, like, up until like a week ago.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_02]: And I was just like, man, he really good.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_02]: Like, actually good.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_02]: Like, not like good on a curve.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_02]: Like, okay, it's a second year player.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's like playing actually good football.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, shit.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_04]: And he just turned 23 years old, too.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_04]: And the thing that's the craziest thing to me about Drake mate is that dirt,
- 3:55[SPEAKER_04]: Like the fans are getting big on him, but weirdly there's been a lot of like, well, let's see him do it, like I don't know, like we'll see, and I'm like, have you watched this guy?
- 4:06[SPEAKER_04]: He was in the worst situation I've ever seen any quarterback being, I mean, there's been a lot of bad ones, but it was as bad as it could be.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_04]: And if you just watch him last year, you're like, oh yeah.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_04]: like it's not too big for him.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_04]: He is so talented.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_04]: Like I have no doubt.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know where he's going to finish on the scale of like franchise quarterback.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_04]: Right.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_04]: I have not had any even a slivered out from day one.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_04]: So it doesn't surprise me that he's off to a good start.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_04]: Now does that mean like seven probals and Hall of Fame can this year?
- 4:37[SPEAKER_04]: Does that just mean he's like a top tennis quarterback who's going to have some fun when a few play.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_04]: It's it's a sliding
- 4:47[SPEAKER_01]: I, we talked, we just hit on how these teams are pretty similar and it just goes back literally to the draft as after the draft and round one of to the 2025 drafts you and a lot of Saints fans were just like cool our team drafted a left tackle, you know, who might need to play
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: give the Saints in Patriot in the Patriots credit.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: It seems like they've nailed those picks at drafting Will Campbell drafting kelp and banks because they are you still not on the Will Campbell?
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: We're free.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_04]: We're five games in.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_04]: Let's see.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_04]: Let's see.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_04]: How do you feel about banks?
- 5:36[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I feel good about him, I feel good about him, I feel good about him, I feel good about him, not like, oh wow, he's just like a stardust just
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: You know, hall of fame, future, love tackle, but like I could see already that like he knows how to play the position.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he just sees 21 years old.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_02]: He needs to get stronger like he needs to work on some of the technique things, but now you can just see that he's like a good past protector needs to get better in a lot of areas.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_02]: And I knew he's like allowed like a lot of pressures up to this point.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_02]: Like seeing them last week against the giants, you start to see them kind of like take that step.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm really not worried about them man.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_02]: Like I've seen I've seen Trevor pinning started to look tackle and it's like he shouldn't be on the field.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_02]: Like why are you on the field right now?
- 6:24[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 6:25[SPEAKER_02]: So you could tell when he just don't belong.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm who would fix?
- 6:30[SPEAKER_04]: Will Campbell looks like a pro for sure.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_04]: They haven't had the best hardest competition in terms of the guys he's been facing.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_04]: You know, the one game they did was Pittsburgh, and he was a problem in that game, and even last week against Buffalo, like they're helping him out a lot, I still wonder if he's going to be a better guard long term, but he does look like an offensive line starter.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_04]: I'm just not ready to crown them for that pick.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_04]: That's a fourth overall pick.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_04]: There are some good players on the board.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_04]: So I just want to see a play.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_04]: I want to see a play out.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think he's going to be a boss, which I was worried about.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_04]: So that you're right about.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: That's true, um, I feel like we've this been very patriots heavy, but this is a Saint's podcast.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: So having you on this show, the Saint set up one in four, but what has been your impressions, observations of them up to this point into the season?
- 7:26[SPEAKER_04]: Well, that the offense is a little better than I would have expected, especially the passing game.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_04]: that you just wouldn't expect that that to be the strongest part of the team and I think it is.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_04]: I think and Spencer and it's not like they have just aces past protection.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_04]: It's good enough.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_04]: It's like okay and it makes sense.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_04]: Alave and Chaheed and then
- 7:49[SPEAKER_04]: Kamera and even Joanne Johnson, like that's a good group of players catching the ball, but Spencer Rattler's been very consistent.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_04]: And if the rest of the, I would have thought that would have been the toughest part of the team to get to respectable.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_04]: If the rest of the team defense and special teams were playing as well as the passing game, and I guess the offense in general cause the running game's getting to go,
- 8:14[SPEAKER_04]: You know that they'd be a lot first gear like I think the DVOA ratings say a lot for them right now Where they they got like the 21st pat, you know, 21st passing game or so That's like pretty good for Spencer Rattler so far and then the special teams are bottom four You know bottom four bottom one I think for special so it's about right
- 8:37[SPEAKER_04]: So the defense is worse than I expected.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_04]: I thought being down at their training camp that they'd have a little more going on on the defensive side than they have.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yo, what up, Wolf?
- 8:47[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you're looking at.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_02]: Man, I'm checking out this website, this site is Cheatsboro.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_02]: In 2025?
- 8:53[SPEAKER_02]: How do you have a crappy website?
- 8:54[SPEAKER_02]: Couldn't be me.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_02]: They need to hit a bi-guide visa with precious works.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_02]: Precious works offers to not only build your website, that's tailored to you and your customer's needs, but also to continue to manage and maintain it.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_02]: So you can focus on your business.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_02]: Don't have much time.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_02]: Pressure's works is just what you need.

- 9:26[SPEAKER_02]: B. John sets up, set up Saints Black Pointed Podcasts website for us a few years ago and hit it out the park.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_02]: He also keeps it up to date and helps us anytime we want to add something new like a form or the prospect matching tool that we did for the NFL draft.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's like having your own personal developer just a text or a call away.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_02]: Pressure's work says work with everyone from small businesses to large firms.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_02]: So no job is too big or too small.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_02]: If you're in a need of a website or you currently have one, but you want to upgrade it.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_02]: Give B's on a highly ambitious works.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_02]: You can get with him at B's on at Pressure's works.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_02]: D-I-J-O-N at Pressure's dot works.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_02]: Or go to Pressure's dot works for his website.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_02]: Make sure to tell him things about going to have you.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_02]: No, definitely.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_02]: I thought they'd be a little more the defense is just weird like last week like after the bill is game.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_02]: I was like Done with Brandon Stanley like I was just like I'm done with it.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_02]: And just the style he plays is like this then but don't break very analytic You know driven like we'll find we give it up nine yards a clip
- 10:35[SPEAKER_02]: We're not allowed in the big claims and I get like everybody's playing like that, but I just I don't I just don't like that mindset of my defense like I want to defend every blade of grass.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_02]: We're gonna knock your head off like you know what I'm saying like that's what I like in my defense and he just doesn't seem like that type of defense of coordinator.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I don't think they're playing with a ton of aggression.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_04]: You can see it on certain defenses, just show up in a given year, and they're just playing hard.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_04]: The jaguars are a good example this year.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_04]: Exactly.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_04]: You just never know that's going to happen.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_04]: Like, it's not, it's a good roster.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_04]: It's not a great roster, but they're just flying around.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_04]: And you can tell they're coached up to play together with a purpose.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_04]: And yeah, you don't really see that with the scenes.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_04]: Or the least, for that matter.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's one of the get your impression on that point of any specific matchups that I don't think, like, we worry you, but just things that have your attention for this upcoming game.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_04]: In general, like the Patriots,
- 11:41[SPEAKER_04]: They want to play like a lot of man coverage.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_04]: So I think you got to be worried about anyone that's not getting covered by Christian Gonzalez.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_04]: So him getting back in the line up that the Saints time that poorly, they are different defense with him.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_04]: He is a stud.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_04]: He made a huge difference last week.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_04]: But they're not a team that like disguises much.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_04]: You said you don't like the style of Brandon Staley's defense.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_04]: I don't love the variable style, which to me is like,
- 12:08[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, we're gonna just line up.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_04]: We're not gonna disguise too much, you know, forget about all those sim pressures.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_04]: Like, he is not up on what the current trends are.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_04]: It's like, we're gonna play tough and physical.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_04]: And they do do that.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_04]: They like, they hit a little bit after the whistle.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_04]: They have dumb penalties, but they're out there hitting, I do like that part of it.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_04]: But they're not trying to confuse anyone.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_04]: They're kind of old school.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_04]: Like, we're going to line up and play you.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_04]: And that works if like your players are better than the other team.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_04]: And up front, they are pretty, they're pretty good defensive line overall.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_04]: But they got too many holes to play that way.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_04]: And like Carlton Davis has not been a good pick up for them.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_04]: And they're, they're, they're linebackers.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_04]: They're safety's like a lot of teams.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_04]: You, you can take advantage of.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's interesting.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_02]: I said the first four weeks, the Saints like face like some of the most complicated defenses that Arizona Cardinals, that you had the 49ers, the Seahawks and it just was, you know, the bills, they were like the easiest defense that the Saints had played up to that point, but even now, you know, they do present some kind of challenge and then you had the giants coming last week.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_02]: which, you know, they don't do a lot of the skies and they don't do a lot of some pressure and all that.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_02]: And there you was able to see like the same passing game, kind of be, I mean, it wasn't like great.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_02]: Like there was a big, you know, 80, 90, or touchdown or the CGE.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_02]: But there wasn't a lot of like a bunch of explosives and they did get squeezed down in the red zone as normal.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_02]: But the person game did see my little bit more rhythmic than normal.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that was because Radler didn't have to like,
- 13:53[SPEAKER_02]: do a freaking PhD after the snap to figure out like what's going on, you know what I'm saying?
- 14:00[SPEAKER_02]: Like he was disabled and like no, okay, this is man, man, this is cover three.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_02]: I know what to do here, you know what I'm saying?
- 14:07[SPEAKER_04]: Patriots are very old school.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, they really are just another extension of like the Bellachick era.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_04]: So they're trying to be good at stopping the run and they have been pretty good at stopping the run, but you can throw against them.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_04]: So that's something matchup-wise that like if the saints are gonna win this game, I think they have a chance to win this game.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_04]: Like the Patriots overall as a team for instance, you know, I'm talking about TV away, but I just think like, okay, we're now five weeks into the season, I think some of these numbers have some meaning.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_04]: They are the 21st team overall.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_04]: Like it looks good because they just beat the bills, but they've had a very easy schedule.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_04]: And they've made a lot of music.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_04]: They're 21st overall.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_04]: Saints are like 31st.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_04]: So that, you know, it's not like the saints are doing great.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_04]: But I don't think the patriots are some world beaters.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_04]: But I think if they're going to beat the patriots, they're going to beat them through the air with Shaheed, burning Davis, or Marcus Jones.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_04]: They're their slot corner.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_04]: Some of these slow, safe, easy or making plays over the middle of the field.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_04]: Like, I think it might be tough to run on the patriots, but I think they could throw the ball on them.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_04]: It's been good.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_04]: Milton, that's the thing that's confusing to me is like their past rush is good, but they're still giving up a ton in the passing game.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_04]: Milton Williams has been a good pickup as a free agent.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_04]: Christian Barmore, who had a blood clot issue last year, he's played two really good games in a row.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_04]: So they have two good defensive tackles.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_04]: Harold Landry's been a good pickup as like an edge defender.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_04]: It, their whole team, you know what is to me?
- 15:41[SPEAKER_04]: their their free agency pickups have been good they actually have some top-level players with the Drake man Gonzalez the problem is it's like they got like 15 good players and after that you know, we ask you know it just falls off a
- 15:57[SPEAKER_04]: So I think that actually they're good players and they're coaching are good enough that they might win ten eight games because they have one of the easiest schedules in the league But they like good teams will pick on the the holes on their roster Obviously, this is a week though another game where you're like how they the Saints may not be able to I will give
- 16:16[SPEAKER_01]: the Saints a lot of creative and Ryan and I have been done this.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: Besides the Seattle game, even with the talent deficiencies that they've faced.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_01]: They've been literally in every game that they've been in.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_01]: Might as a week three.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's a testament to Kevin Moore as first time at Coach.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: But I did want to get like the temperature check because
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: We have this perception, and maybe it would have coaches sometimes they have to grow into the position and grow into the job.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_01]: Kellen's made some decisions during games where it's like, Bro, like, what is your game management?
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: Like, is it too big for you?
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: But I pointed out, we were talking about this that fourth and fourth and fifth call against the Giants last week where he actually decided to like, drop it's nuts and say, like, was just going into this game.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_01]: And it's what we've been like.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_01]: asking for and waiting for, but just an outsider's perception of how Kellen Morris done in his first season as, I mean, it's five games in, but currently it's a scene set coach.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you'd like to see some sort of identity.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_04]: What is y'all about?
- 17:18[SPEAKER_04]: I like it when they play with pace.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_04]: I like that the running game with Kendrae is starting to get going.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_04]: To me, that's who what he should be about.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_04]: But I've been all over the game management stuff, too, because that stuff drives me the most crazy.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_04]: And I feel like it's the easiest for us outsideers to...
- 17:34[SPEAKER_04]: No when you're really messing up and it's funny.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_04]: I mentioned that exact fourth down play on our recap podcast last last week Because I was watching that game live.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_04]: I assigned myself Saints Giants.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_04]: I wanted to see that and I was like Yeah, I loved it and they didn't even score in that drive, but it didn't matter.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_02]: It was it was great.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_02]: I loved that
- 17:53[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I loved it too.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_02]: Like that to me, it was like his riverboat Ryan moment, you know what I'm saying?
- 17:58[SPEAKER_02]: Like, finally, because remember when Ryan Rivera was like super conservative, then like, and then like, at some point, he just changed, like, he just switched to start a comfort of four down all the time, I felt like that opened the door for, hopefully, opened the door for Kelly Moore.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_02]: Not saying he just to go for it on four down all the time, it's like that, but just be a
- 18:23[SPEAKER_02]: going for the field goal, like playing for the field goal and stuff like that, even though your kicker is missed like five kickers at least five, I think.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_02]: This season is like, what are you doing, man?
- 18:37[SPEAKER_02]: Like have some aggression.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_02]: Spend a round of like, so if you want the guy has a arm, so it's like, can we get some more explosive players out of this passing game?
- 18:46[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you've got a bunch of fans around receivers.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_02]: But it's just been felt it's feeling so condensed.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_02]: Something we talked about at the bunch on the podcast like it's just American Dense offense.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_02]: Part of that, I think, is because it's a rebuild and offensive line.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's been sort of like fourth in time to throw in the league and but 12th in pressure, like QP pressure.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_02]: So they get a ton of pressure, even though he's like, yeah, it's one of the quickest time to throw was in the league.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_02]: So like that just tells you,
- 19:15[SPEAKER_02]: It's often all about getting a ball out quick, you know.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_02]: And to his credit, it's best to rallyers done that.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_02]: Now, he was not that type of quarterback.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_02]: He used to be a guy that had a whole honor to ball up in it.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_02]: And that plays development.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_02]: But he's getting a ball out quick as hell.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I think if you want to see what Kelly Moore's identity is look at Spencer Rattler's play, because Spencer Rattler, I think of as a wrist taker, and he's out there like many, Kelly Moore, you know?
- 19:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_03]: Kelly Moore's a midsay.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_04]: That's true.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_04]: He's got him like, and to be fair, at your pressure points, great, because
- 19:47[SPEAKER_04]: I'm trying to bring it up now, I got the NGS numbers and I remember through three weeks he was facing the second most quick pressure of anything, because to me that matters way more than pressure.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_04]: It's under two and a half seconds, and so it made me even more impressed with how Rattler has managed everything.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_04]: He is...
- 20:07[SPEAKER_04]: turning himself into a guy that if there was any doubt it's going to be in the NFL for 12 years, which is that I mean, this has been a hell of a season for him if he can keep it going.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_04]: He's better than at least like six, seven, eight quarterbacks out there that are playing this year, including like Aaron Rogers, you know, like I think he's looked pretty good.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_04]: He's going to have himself a career and eat, no matter what it is in New Orleans, like he's going to have
- 20:35[SPEAKER_01]: Like, even if he's shown to be a high level backup, which that's that same power, like that, to the fact that they were able to get that or drafted that in the fifth round, isn't impressive.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_01]: Like that, that's definitely an impressive feat.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's what I will say is, it's,
- 20:54[SPEAKER_01]: the Saints Twitter Civil War.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, like, quarterback.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_01]: Tell me about this, of course.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_04]: I saw you guys send out a Derek Cartouite the other day and I'm like, oh, God, Ron and New Orleans.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_01]: Can we let things die, please just, I'm literally, but like, bigger and silly, like, can we please, like, like, God?
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'll let Ryan take it because I will blow a gasket.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_02]: No, I mean, it's just, it's been a Civil War.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_02]: Honestly, he says to me, he's less like, there it is.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_02]: Honestly, because that I tweeted this last year, I said the same friends are going to have it real hard when it's actually time to like draft the quarterback and develop it because they just haven't experienced it.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_02]: But you haven't drafted a ton of quarterbacks early.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, we always, you know, we get free ages or we trade for a guy and stuff like that.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_02]: That jewellery is for 15 years, most Saints fans only grew up with the jewellery's error.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 21:46[SPEAKER_02]: So it's just a different time.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_02]: So they just don't know how to take it like they're ready to get, they're ready to get red light out of here.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, red light is playing a fine.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_02]: It won't shut in, some don't like shut either they want to wait for the draft to see who we could draft whether that's, you know, sellers, nor sellers or something like that, but it's like, then some are like, well, car was car would have been with it had us like with three wins, but now I'll call it.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, why are we even talking about their car?
- 22:13[SPEAKER_02]: Like, and have you seen their car play?
- 22:16[SPEAKER_02]: Like, are we sure they're called better than Spencer Rattler?
- 22:20[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think he's any better.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_04]: Like the version you guys had of him.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: Like I just, I just like the pressure part to me is like, it's the key, it's key in this argument.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, like Derrick card, his last two season New Orleans was not the athletic Derrick card.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_01]: So it's a, it's a, I just can't put it very even talking about it.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, but it does ball this question and there is no better place to get in on the action than underdog.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_02]: It's the easiest way to make picks and win money all season long.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_02]: Here's how it works.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_02]: You make your picks.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_02]: If you write, you can win up to 5,000 times your case.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_02]: and you can play as little as for one dollar.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_02]: This week, I'm looking at the buck's versus Falcons matchup.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_02]: I've got Mike Evans for higher than one touchdown and Kyle Pitz for lower than 50 yards.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_02]: That's my card and how's your turn?
- 23:21[SPEAKER_02]: Just download the underdog app, sign up with promo code, block party, and you'll get $50 in bonus funds when you play your first five bucks.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_02]: That's promo code BlackPorty means the fans have already won billions on underdog.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_02]: Will you be next underdog?
- 23:38[SPEAKER_02]: Make picks win money.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_00]: Must be 18 plus 19 plus in Alabama and Nebraska 19 plus in Colorado for some games 21 plus in Arizona, Massachusetts and Virginia and present in a state where underdog fantasy operates in terms of play.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_00]: See assets.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_00]: Underdogfansy.com forward slash web forward slash play and get terms underscored DFS underscored.html for details offer not ballot in Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania concern with your play.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: Call 1-800 gambler or visit www.ncpgambling.org in New York.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: Call the 24-7 hopeline at 1-877-8 hope and why or text hope and why 467-369.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_02]: What is going on like killing more than a day was talking about how you know he Taste him he'll might be QB2 I'd be the backup quarterback this coming week or gone for you, you know He didn't he didn't like a bit to it, but he's like yeah, yeah, yeah, taste more because he laughs me No, no, no, but it was kind of weird though, you know and he is he's moved his position back to quarterback like his official position is quarterback so
- 24:45[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it would shock me if he's like QB2, but he's wearing the wristband and practice and everything, he knows all the plays, so it's like, what is going on with Tyler's shot, you know?
- 24:58[SPEAKER_04]: Well, no, it's interesting with Taseum.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, first of all, Spencer Rattler.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_04]: is clearly playing too well in my mind to lose the job at this point in the season.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_04]: If he stayed at this level or if he declines a little bit and we get to Thanksgiving or whatever, okay, let's just see the kid, but like he's just playing too well.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_04]: He's not losing the job, like if he's losing the job, there's a lot of people on the team that should be losing the job.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_04]: And then second, I mean, Kellan Moore, I'm not saying he's like a yellow type of guy,
- 25:33[SPEAKER_04]: the head coach in the NFL and have your Mormon brother right there on your team at the end of his career.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_04]: You've got to get it in the light up.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_02]: That's the huge thing.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_02]: That's an opportunity.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_02]: I was trying to find out his big real moment because I'm just assuming they're good because they want to see you.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think they're both Mormon.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_04]: And why, why wouldn't you?
- 26:02[SPEAKER_04]: I, I loved it.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_04]: When I, you came out last week, I was pretty.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_04]: When he was in the game, I was like, oh, this is great.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_04]: This, this made me feel alive and, uh, he still look pretty good.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_04]: I was like, I thought he would be broken down.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_04]: But now he's still look pretty good.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_01]: it was it was a fun game for us to like finally there's been some fun moments in the season but obviously that giant game was was fun.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think looking for this Patriarch game what does worry me is the slow start set the sinks defense of had against teams the last two weeks.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_01]: They spotted the bills 14 points okay as the bills understand that but then last week they
- 26:47[SPEAKER_01]: there's this thing that we have when we have meet-up games so this is our fourth annual meet-up game that will attend that we don't lose meet-up games because every meet-up game we've been at before they've all been wins.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_01]: But so there's something always like in the air last year as the Falcons before then it was Tyler, you know, we call him Tyler Benier, and the Bears game and what was the first one?
- 27:09[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it was the Vegas Raiders game where Derek Card didn't like cross midfield and then they traded for him the next season.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_01]: Or they signed him the next season.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_01]: So our record and meet up, Gaser, three and oh, but I will say that
- 27:25[SPEAKER_01]: The Brennan's daily defense going against Drake May.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: It worries me a bit.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_01]: Now he's the second year player and it was good to see Brennan's daily, like really got Jackson Dart out of sorts, but you're talking too completely different echelons of players at quarterback.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: And like this defense needs to step up.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: And the young guys have, but that's to me, like that's really going to be very telling and how they'll come this game goes.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_04]: has admitted like he starts games too fired up and he always has one or two throws right at the beginning of the game where he he just misses like and he he's his completion percent he's avoided way more mistakes than I would have expected but he still has that young guy.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to hold on to the ball too long, and he's not the most accurate quarterback, although he's definitely improved, like he'll give you a chance to make a couple plays early.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_04]: Now that said, it's confusing because McDaniels, they're offensive corner, it has been great in these opening scripts.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_04]: and he has been incredible this year.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_04]: I feel bad for anything bad I said about Josh McDonald's because they don't have that much talent, you know, Stefan Diggs is not as fast as he used to be, but he is getting better now.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_04]: I'm really surprised how well he's playing, but it's like Demario Douglas and Mac Holland's Hunter Henry was their number one receiver, really.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_04]: and guys are tied open.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_04]: I haven't seen guys open since Tom Brady was the quarterback.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe Mac Jones is first here, but you know what, it's coordinator, Josh McGames.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_04]: He's been cooking these defensive coordinators and especially like the lesser one.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_04]: So I wouldn't be surprised if he, if he cooks up some open receiver.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_04]: He's doing the flea flick.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_04]: He's doing it all.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_02]: That's one word about everything, Josh McGames, but it cooked a lot of it.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, Brandon Stanley, like I think he just gone like maybe, but Brandon Stanley, I've given credit, like he has been able to just route the game and tighten things up like, you know, in the second half and stuff like that.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_02]: But I know those opening scripts gone.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's just, I just don't see a change in man.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_02]: Like, the picture's going to be up at least 10 points.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_04]: You know, we need we're going to have a it's going to be the trivia on Henderson game.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_04]: It's taken too long for him to really bust out.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_04]: He looks good.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_04]: It's just I can see him on one of those wheel routes over Demario.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_04]: When that happens, just think of me when you're in this medium.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_04]: Just be like Greg said it.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think trying to think anything else from this game.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's pretty much it.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_01]: The tanks may have chased young back.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like he came back and practiced and was limited to him.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_01]: It was limited, so maybe he played maybe he plays on Sunday.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone's favorite.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_01]: Caesar were reefs returned to practice today and so there was a chance that he made really.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_04]: Because we got Brian Baldinger doing breakdowns of your guy, Torcelli.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_04]: Simpians, Torcelli Simpians, maybe he gonna lose his job.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_01]: If a reason's healthy, it doesn't, that, that, that, that those are the going back to the old killing more thing, right?
- 30:31[SPEAKER_01]: Those are the coaching like things where it's like, like everyone in the league that, you know, is, is a ball noor shout out to the, you know, I'll be constantly like.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_02]: Caesar Reese is not is not good and it's that he was the worst starter in the NFL I do like I mean that is I'm not the most knowledgeable like tape and nothing but I watch like every snap of every game to season and it was You couldn't play them you could not please Caesar.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_02]: It was so bad
- 31:04[SPEAKER_02]: In the run game and past game, I get what's so bad.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_02]: And with Simkins, it's not that he's outstanding.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_02]: He's getting beat in the run game and past game too, but I don't know if it just looks different.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_02]: It looks like he's like at least trying, and he's like fearing it up, where Louise is like, what happened to you?
- 31:20[SPEAKER_02]: You're a veteran, like you have five of your veterans, what happened to you?
- 31:23[SPEAKER_02]: So, but I expect what he's to be back out there, if he's healthy.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_02]: He probably saw that boat that boat he burped down.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_02]: It was like shit, I got to get my ankle back.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_04]: get on out there, yeah, that's the strength of the Patriots team.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_04]: If you're rank in the Patriots players, like it's Gonzalez and May are one and two and far more and William might have been three four.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so that's the strength of their team.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_01]: Cool.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_01]: Cool.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_01]: Any any prediction for this game?
- 31:52[SPEAKER_01]: You don't know you to your pace with Cynthia, but.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_04]: I'm nervous about it.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_04]: I don't trust this Patriots team and all the love that they're getting.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_04]: They're coming off of a big win in the division.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_03]: Big win.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, they got a couple of breaks.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_04]: Three and a half.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_04]: It's three and a half.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_04]: I did the Cowards pick for my show game day view with Patrick and Cynthia, and I took
- 32:15[SPEAKER_04]: the Patriots to win but the Saints to cover.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_04]: So that just shows you.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_04]: I don't feel good about it.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not going to pick against them because like what's the point of that.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_04]: I'll just be annoyed then if they win and I didn't pick it but I don't feel good about it.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's like a last position type of game.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_04]: And yes, I do trust trust my quarterback more to get it done in that last position.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_01]: I will pick, well, we will pick the Saints because it's a meetup game.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it's just a tradition.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_01]: Like, they don't lose meetup games.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_01]: It would be hilarious if like, the Saints actually drove the ball down the field.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like a 40-yard field goal and play group deal.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_01]: This is like, with the game in the street court and like, it would end in some type of like, fashion like that where he just stopped right.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_01]: But it should be fun.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_01]: do this, have you on it's been a while, but just show you love in terms of where NFL daily has gotten to truly truly impressive.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_01]: I know you work your ass off, and so for you to do just another 30 minute podcast with us, even though we're friends, just know that we truly, truly appreciate it, and it means it means a lot to us, and you're
- 33:34[SPEAKER_01]: you're killing it like I do your jet lag from being in the in overseas for for 12 days.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_01]: So you coming on and just chopping it up talking past things with us was was fun man.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_04]: No, I feel bad.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_04]: If I haven't been on in the same spot party podcast imagine how many times I've said the word, same spot party podcast on my podcast.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_04]: I listen to like twice a week.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_04]: It's like it's all the time and yet I haven't even been on.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know what that's about.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_04]: I don't even know if that's true.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to check.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know what that's about.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know what that's about.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know what that's about.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know what that's about.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know what that's about.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know what that's about.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know what that's about.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know what that's about.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_04]: I don't even know what that's about.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_04]: I don't even know what that's about.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_04]: I don't even know what that's about.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_04]: I don't even know what that's about.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_04]: I don't even know what that's about.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_04]: I don't even know what that's about.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know
- 34:25[SPEAKER_01]: Or when Stevenson fumbles again, like, I will ask how that'll happen to.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_01]: That's every game.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_01]: What we appreciate you going on.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's all love from us and continue to kill it.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate you.
