- 0:07Drama, Darling Drama, Darling Drama, Darling. Hello, Love is Blind,
- 0:25Friends and now family. Emily and I are here. We are swaddled
- 0:30in our pod blankets. Hi, Emily, I've never felt this way about
- 0:34anybody. Oh my god, I just have to warn you. I totally
- 0:38am in love with you, but I don't know if I can really like
- 0:41I'm just afraid of like cheating on you and like leaving you. But I
- 0:45love you so much. You're the one. Oh my god, nobody's ever
- 0:49said that to me like that. I know you're the one. Ah.
- 0:53We are also drinking out of our Love is Blind cups. If you put
- 0:59ours together, we make the perfect cup cup. Mine is a spray painted
- 1:03gold red solo cup and Emily's is, in fact a perfectly insulated wine up.
- 1:11Yeah, it's like my outdoor movie cups. Yes, and here's a
- 1:17hot tip for you outdoorsy movie folks. I put glow in the dark stickers,
- 1:21different ones on each cup, which I kept thinking on Love because at
- 1:25night you can see where which cup is yours. But on Love is Blind,
- 1:27I'm like they're drinking. Everybody's drinking all the wrong cups on there.
- 1:30Everybody's dating Everybody's okay, you know what I'm saying, this is like The
- 1:36Bachelor on steroids. I've never seen the likes of anything like this. I
- 1:41certainly did not expect that we would leave the pods and that we would go
- 1:48on vacation. So it's like it was like literally the Bachelor meets Bachelor and
- 1:53Paradise meets I don't know, or not ninety day fiance, yeah kind of,
- 2:01or like say yes to the dress means. It's just everything. So
- 2:06I can understand why people are going bonkers for this show. It hits on
- 2:09all cylinders. It escalates things to a level in which you're like, our
- 2:13society insine zine, like that we're even doing this. I will say the
- 2:17best thing that they ever did was to call this an experiment instead of like
- 2:23a dating show. I mean, that's the best way to do it.
- 2:27Yeah, you know what I mean, like, very smart to rebrand that,
- 2:30because as you're watching it, you're like, this is totally an experiment.
- 2:32It doesn't feel as exploitive if you were to say it's like a dating
- 2:37show, you know, because clearly people are coming in there not for the
- 2:39right reasons. You know, they're showing up, but they're not coming in
- 2:43for the right reasons. It's like to see to make sure that you're just
- 2:46not shallow. We're all just trying to figure out are you shallow? Are
- 2:51you show? You want to know? But at the end of the day,
- 2:53are you hot? Can you just explain to me how cute you are?
- 2:57So I get it. I get why this is nuts, And I
- 3:00also think this was obviously a fire season for Love is Blind, though I'm
- 3:04speaking out of turn because I don't know past seasons, but from what I've
- 3:07been told and from what i've the research that I've done, is that this
- 3:09is one of the better seasons they've had, clearly, and now this is
- 3:14season six, which is like, I mean, they've been there, They've
- 3:19run the gamut, so clearly this is out there. These people know how
- 3:23to play the game, they know what comes with it. That's why this
- 3:27is such a tricky situation. Why I think the stakes are higher because people
- 3:30are coming in that are already bonkers and just ready to make have their fifteen
- 3:34minutes of fame. Yeah, and I think that also it's a weird can't
- 3:44I kept kind of being like so like inside claustrophobic because we were in the
- 3:51pods for so long, and then once we left the pods, we were
- 3:55all in the same kind of carbon copy houses. That was I don't know.
- 4:00I just felt that I didn't take my blanket off because I was afraid
- 4:04it was gonna short the static would short out my microphone, which I kept
- 4:08thinking about when they were doing it, dude, like those blankets are so
- 4:11much static. What are they doing? They must be spraying them down constantly
- 4:15and it must be absolutely you know, negative fifty. It was like true
- 4:19detective. It was like, you know, night country temperatures and those pods,
- 4:25the way that they would just get into those blankets, you know.
- 4:28But I mean I'd rather it be like too cold in those pods than too
- 4:31hot, clearly because everyone's sharing pods though, too, and you know that's
- 4:35just it's gonna be weird, like yeah, you know, you wouldn't want
- 4:40to stee me and like like yeah, sweaty, sweaty, yeah, yeah.
- 4:44I mean, like you know that Trevor puts off some heat after he's
- 4:47been in one of those pods forever. It's definitely that mullet is like it's
- 4:51boiling under the fat hair, you know. Oh, yeah, he's got
- 4:56like athletes foot on his hairline. I was so confused by what is that.
- 5:00I was thinking it was hair plugs and gone wrong, like you know
- 5:05what I mean. Well, I mean one would guess or speculate, and
- 5:11this is alleged. I have looked a little bit like Roydney, like royd
- 5:15Acne, But I mean, who's ane Steroi steroids? Oh wow, I
- 5:23didn't know you were the connoisseur on steroid acne. I'm very impressed. I
- 5:26mean here, I didn't even know there was such a thing. Okay,
- 5:30yeah that check. Yeah, it's like it's super hormonal like in that area.
- 5:36But I just wow, yeah, I mean I don't know, maybe
- 5:40I'm totally wrong. Didn't look like he was taking steroids in that exact second
- 5:46that we saw him, So I mean maybe four or five seconds before or
- 5:49after possibly, but like not that second. Let me just say that while
- 5:55I was watching this, I really put the Love Is blinders on because I
- 6:00didn't want to know while I was watching it what any of the spoilers were.
- 6:03I didn't know. I didn't want to know if anyone was in there,
- 6:09Like I didn't want to know who it was that had a fiance.
- 6:12I saw I'd seen that headline, and I just was like, I don't
- 6:14want to know who it is because I want to follow this journey and I
- 6:16want to be invested. Should I be invested just to see where I land
- 6:20so that I can feel the full betrayal when it's revealed. And uh,
- 6:27yeah, well spoiler, I was googling the whole time. I'm good for
- 6:30you. It's this guy. So you found out that Trevor is the Trevor
- 6:34is the one who had a girlfriend. Yeah, and Jeremy was engaged as
- 6:41he was signing up for this thing, and Jimmy had something. I mean,
- 6:46everybody's got something except for Johnny. Also, these names are Jimmy and
- 6:50Johnny. Who's Johnny? John Are you kidding? Amy? Oh Johnny?
- 6:56I'm sorry, Yeah, I got it. Don't worry. I won't be
- 6:58doing that this whole time. It's just weird to hear you just isolate him
- 7:01as Johnny because when I'm going through my notes, I never I can never
- 7:06isolate just one person. I'm like Jimmy and Chelsea, Jimmy and Jessica Clain
- 7:11a d Ad and Matthew. Like so when you were like Johnny who was
- 7:14Johnny oh Amy and Johnny Okay, I got it, but it's fair because
- 7:18there were so many people that we never even heard speak or we saw them
- 7:24once or twice in the pod. And then that was it, hanging around
- 7:29coming out of those pods into the hallway, just walking into nowhere, just
- 7:31the void. I know, I kept it felt very much like it was
- 7:36like if this was a Black Mirror episode, we somehow were able to It's
- 7:42as though they were were seeing inside the stock photos coming to life, like
- 7:46all these bland ass people looking like having the best day of their life in
- 7:51the most bland ass setting with the same props in every photo. Like it's
- 7:57like we're watching them these like this crazy underworld of stock photos, trying to
- 8:03I don't get the reference because I don't watch Black Mirror, but I'm making
- 8:09it out this mirror. This is sci fi, got it? You know,
- 8:13Like when you see a stock photo at Michael's in the picture frames,
- 8:18Yes, that's the world they lived in, people from those phontifying and also
- 8:24perfect because that's the houses that they live in. Those Yes that like newly
- 8:30that newly built subdivision that no one was really living in yet was the scariest
- 8:37thing I've ever seen in my life. And then having them live in there
- 8:39that I felt depressed. I felt alone, I felt like that doesn't exist.
- 8:45I felt I was having the worst you know, philosophical you know,
- 8:50Jean Paul sepl like I was. I was like in the corner running post.
- 8:54I was in a dark place when I every time they showed those things
- 8:58and then the interior and just the generic like decor, I was like,
- 9:03I wanted to scratch my eyes out. I wanted to bite my arm.
- 9:07I wanted to end up like one of the corpsicles and true detectives. I
- 9:11wanted to run as far away as I could. And I thought they have
- 9:16no hope at surviving these housing situations. Yes, I agree. And it
- 9:22was also just like trying to like, oh, this is our home,
- 9:26We're so happy here, and I was like, it's not. Please stop,
- 9:31this is not your home. I don't know where we are. We
- 9:33need to call the police. Yeah. Right, That's when the experiment really
- 9:39hid an experiment because I'm thinking they're going from these weird ass pods to the
- 9:46Dominican Republic, to these houses to a wedding, yeah, to planning a
- 9:54wedding and it's just this whole It's like the Truman Show. It was the
- 10:00vibe. Yeah, yes, that's why I do think it is quite genius.
- 10:03And it's pretty amazing to me that these people sign up for this,
- 10:07because there's no way even if you're doing it for the wrong reasons, how
- 10:11mentally challenging and emotionally bizarre. Uh, this would like take a toll on
- 10:20you even if you were there for the wrong reasons. You know, you
- 10:24still can't protect yourself that much. You were sleeping with other people. I
- 10:28mean, we know Amy and Johnny aren't sleeping together, but like everyone else
- 10:31is. Yeah, I feel like they probably were like oh well, I
- 10:37feel like they were all so guarded. It was interesting because in a way,
- 10:43they're all auditioning for reality TV on the show. Yeah, but they've
- 10:48all watched it enough and are like whispering the stuff that will be questionable,
- 10:54like you would you know what I mean, Like they're just like whispering that
- 10:58sex stuff and like, oh, the cameras are on and that's so bizarre
- 11:03to me. And then so I feel like Amy had I feel like she
- 11:09didn't want her parents to know. Oh, but I don't know, I
- 11:13see what you're saying. I don't know. Okay, well that would make
- 11:16sense. I could see that for her. Yeah, she didn't want her
- 11:18parents to know, so they just made a birth control excuse. Although that
- 11:22side of Johnny that came out when they were in those weird houses. Yes,
- 11:28I got real scared, real quick. I know he's laser focused on
- 11:35not having a kid right now, like I just brought don't baggage. I
- 11:41mean, yeah, I can't understand how he's just like, nope, we're
- 11:46not like I'm like condoms. But then maybe he's one of those people that's
- 11:50like, no, I have to double we need two forms. Oh I'm
- 11:54sure, yeah, because it's not I mean, a condom is not like
- 11:56full proof, not enough for him. That's for Oh my god. I
- 12:01could not the way that he really laid down the law about it, and
- 12:07he was like, I will not do this. I will not, you
- 12:09know, bring a child into this world until my life is absolutely perfect financial
- 12:13And I'm like, okay, someone needs to get into some therapy, like
- 12:16and stat because when he did explain his childhood about how there were four kids
- 12:20in the bathroom at the same time, he described it as somewhat nostalgic and
- 12:28yes, okay, yeah, So then it was more along the lines of
- 12:33him being like, I wish that we wouldn't have been as you know,
- 12:37had so many financial challenges growing up. However it still was magical and like
- 12:43we made it work. But now I'm thinking, what dark stuff happened to
- 12:48you that you are being so intense about this, and why didn't you bring
- 12:52this up in the pod? They said they talked about everything, and now
- 12:58they're talking about this birth control thing in the weird houses. Yeah, I
- 13:03mean god, who knows what God edited out of the pot, right,
- 13:07but it is weird weird. Yeah, he got real series, real fast.
- 13:11But or it was probably one of those things where you're like yeah,
- 13:13yeah, yeah, and then not realizing like, no, this is his
- 13:16life. Yeah, oh right, yes, that's probably it. Amy and
- 13:22Johnny. We can just kind of finish with them and move on to other
- 13:26couples because they were really the ones that had the happiest ending obviously, and
- 13:35well the only ones that had the happiest ending. Well, I do know
- 13:39that Clay and a d are still together. Oh I didn't say that,
- 13:43are you sure? Yeah, there's been things since the wedding. Oh wow,
- 13:48yeah, okay, whoa okay, well hold on on that. So
- 13:56Johnny and Amy, who were great, They just got along so well,
- 14:01and then they met so quickly. And then where did they go in those
- 14:05pods? Like we didn't see or hear from them. That was weird.
- 14:09Yeah, once they had the engagement, you didn't see their subsequent pods or
- 14:16meetings or anything. Same with Marcus and what and what's her head? Once
- 14:22they got engaged, we didn't see them again. Then the pods them in
- 14:26a glass box, put them to sleep. And here's where your coma theory
- 14:33is gonna come in. They put them induced comas on all of the couples
- 14:37that got engaged. They put them in in their own pod, temperature controlled,
- 14:43and they woke them up when it was time to go to the Dominican
- 14:46Republic. I guess that's what they did with all those other people we never
- 14:52heard from right right, milling about like robots. They weren't real. Probably
- 15:01they were probably AI testing. Yeah, there's a just a quick sidestep on
- 15:07Australia traders. There's a guy named Paul, and if you've watched it,
- 15:09you'll know who I'm talking about. But he never speaks. And then I
- 15:13did a little bit of a deep dive on what the hell was up with
- 15:15Paul on Traders and apparently at the round table he would make people swear on
- 15:20their family's lives. And he was constantly throughout filming breaking the fourth wall and
- 15:26talking to the producers. But the best is he wouldn't stop speaking as Austin
- 15:31Powers in Austin Powers lines. So as I'm watching Love Is Blind, I'm
- 15:37like, I wonder if they're all just doing shitty Austin Powers and they're just
- 15:43getting cut out because they won't allow it, and it's really funny. Yeah,
- 15:48baby, don't they know that that's like what we would want to see?
- 15:52Are they stupid? Like I let us see that now. I want
- 15:56to see all the uncut footage of this guy I know, I know,
- 16:00well, last a while, he's just there in the background. Wow.
- 16:04Well, Johnny and Amy have a great wedding. Johnny's sister Emma Stone shows
- 16:11up, which is great. I'm kidding. She just looks a lot like
- 16:15her And that's that. I mean. We don't know where it landed with
- 16:19the birth control. We know that he considered the phasectomy for one second until
- 16:23he read what it was. And I like that. I like that this
- 16:30conversation. I like that she was like, you know what, I don't
- 16:33know if I want to go on birth control? How about a vasectomy?
- 16:36That was the most one of the most empowering things I've ever seen on television
- 16:40for women to see. Thank you Women's History Month. Let's start this conversation.
- 16:45Let's and a lot of people, a lot of young people watch this.
- 16:48So I love the conversation around birth control. I love that it was
- 16:51like, you know what, some women can't take it, some women don't
- 16:52want to take it. How about you do something about it? You know.
- 16:56Loved it, loved every piece of it, every part of it.
- 17:00Go amy. She probably ended up taking birth control, though, but she
- 17:06had a fighting chance. I did have to fast forward through a lot of
- 17:10the emotional like father crying stuff, just because I was like, Oh,
- 17:11I don't have time to cry right now, so I'm just gonna like kind
- 17:14of fast forward through the wedding cries. Oh, her dad was great,
- 17:18her dad was great. Yeah, Well did you even fast forward through Clay's
- 17:22dad? Did you? Oh? God, no, No. I just
- 17:26fast forwarded through parts that I could tell I was watching very closely. There's
- 17:30not much coming going on. No, the parents Clay's parents conversation was probably
- 17:37the most poignant of the entire season. I would say, oh totally.
- 17:42And the editors knew that because they gave us forty five minutes of that scene
- 17:48in which we were not going to be leaving anytime soon. I can't wait
- 17:52that they even had it. I wonder, I mean, like that they
- 17:56filmed it, that they caught something like they he caught that moment like that,
- 18:02that scene I did not see coming. I didn't see it coming either.
- 18:07And you know both his parents, they're both so charming, and you
- 18:12know that his dad is obviously going to be a charmer because of his history,
- 18:17right, and he definitely lived up to that. He also made it
- 18:19very clear when he came to visit Clay on his wedding day what his running
- 18:26stats were, to make sure we all knew. And the best was Clay
- 18:32was all of us talking to us, our parents, talking to us about
- 18:33the same story before a million times. Yeah yeah, yeah, you told
- 18:37me that. Yeah I know that, Yeah, yeah, yeah, I
- 18:40remember. You know. Like, so he got his running stats out there,
- 18:45He gave him the pep talk, and I literally, for a brief
- 18:48second forgot that his dad was really a horrible husband. And then later we
- 18:55see his mother talking that incredible conversation between the two of them, with her
- 19:00saying the likes of he brought to this wedding day, the baggage of you
- 19:07not being a faithful husband in his questioning marriage and what that means is anything
- 19:11sacred and you need to have a conversation with him about this in order for
- 19:17him to like move on from this. And I thought that was an unbelievable
- 19:21call out on her part because she obviously learned something about her son that she
- 19:26probably didn't really know. Clay certainly, well, we all know Clay learned
- 19:30us so much about himself, and obviously his dad must have learned something too,
- 19:38And it'd be interesting to see that conversation later. But boy, talk
- 19:42about being cut from the same cloth. On some level, I love that
- 19:45Clay is trying to break the cycle, But what trash to have gotten to
- 19:52that point. And I really didn't see it coming, I mean, and
- 19:55again I didn't have any spoilers. So when Ad was walking down the aisle
- 19:59and Clay was waiting, and they were kicking up there and they're like,
- 20:04you know, they're about it, and I'm like, oh my god,
- 20:06this is so cute, this is so cute. Wow, he's gonna say
- 20:07yes, but they're going to break up later, Like I had it all
- 20:10down, like they'll just break up later. That happened, Okay. I
- 20:12knew they weren't together, but I just assumed they broke up after the wedding,
- 20:17because why would you ever go through all this, oh man, just
- 20:22to say no in that moment. Nasty, nasty behavior. It's really unforgivable.
- 20:27That's why when you say that ad is still kind of fucking with Clay,
- 20:33I'm like, she has no self worth. But we knew that.
- 20:37We knew that because she did. She had said to him, mm hmm,
- 20:42I don't deserve love. She said that those days came out of her
- 20:47mouth. And currently in therapy and not talking about it. I know she
- 20:52is. But if he is going to therapy, I could see maybe not
- 20:57this minute, but maybe in like sense or something. Oh never, but
- 21:03if you take this, I could see, like it is a wild circumstance
- 21:10that you're under with this show, and I can see I just don't understand
- 21:17why you couldn't have said it an hour before, but whatever. I also
- 21:22don't know, like maybe the producers are like, no, you get to
- 21:26the altar and then you can make the decision. Like I don't know how
- 21:29much he was directed to. I think that in the past excellent TV,
- 21:33right, it makes excellent TV. But in the past, from what I
- 21:37understand, I think that the rules may have been exactly that, where like
- 21:41they couldn't tell him up until the actual vows. But now I believe they've
- 21:47lifted that, They've they've made some adjustments in the experiment emily to where which
- 21:53is why, yeah, which is why you've got all these people cutting and
- 21:56running out of those existential homes, you know, and yeah, and why
- 22:03Jimmy and Chelsea were able to like call it quits. I believe that that's
- 22:07the case. So he really didn't need to do that, And it's disgusting,
- 22:12and I have no faith that he would ever change the amount that he
- 22:15would need. And she's really the worst person for him, and he's the
- 22:18worst person for her, and the reason why is that he plays to her
- 22:23vulnerabilities and in a bad way, and and and she and vice versa,
- 22:32because like her strengths. He does not complement those strengths, and he doesn't
- 22:38bring her strengths out in a healthy way. For her, it's her all
- 22:42giving, it's her giving of herself. It's her like like she said,
- 22:45I feel like you grew a lot, like you said, but you sacrifice
- 22:48me in the process, you know. Yeah, And now I'm thinking about
- 22:52like all those pre wedding post pod times where it was like forever, like
- 23:00Clay was not around, remember, and she was like, oh, I
- 23:06set up this huge craft table, I did this whole thing, and he
- 23:10didn't. He wasn't back last night. And he's like, I'm working.
- 23:12I'm working so clearly like the Kig, He's like Vicky Goebelson. I did
- 23:15love. I love the work efth that he has. I love that he's
- 23:18got these jet skis, that he's got these properties. He's very yeah,
- 23:23but I'm just saying they were not on the same page. No, and
- 23:26it doesn't happen. He's saying, I don't know how I'll ever be faithful,
- 23:32and I mean, like I'm not coming home for three days every he
- 23:34was such a oh like looking back at the whole season of him being you
- 23:41know, I just really feel like, I don't know if I can do
- 23:42this because I'm I'm worried about the looks thing. And then she talked to
- 23:45him off the ledge about that, and then he was like, yeah,
- 23:49I just really can't go through this if you're not, you know, up
- 23:52to par in the looks department. Then it was I'm just worried when they
- 23:56get out. I'm just worried that I can't that I'm moreorried about disappointing you.
- 24:00I'm worried that I I don't know if he said faithful, but I'm
- 24:03worried that I that I'm going to repeat the patterns of my father. Essentially.
- 24:07Yeah, yeah, I mean that's what he was saying, that he
- 24:11was every other one sentence man. Yeah right, I mean it was it
- 24:15was a red carpet of red flags that that she she wanted to see the
- 24:22best. But I'm sorry, she just did not want to see it.
- 24:25She chose not to see it, and she should not have stayed with him.
- 24:30He was very clear, honestly, and she had fortunately wanted it bad.
- 24:34She wanted it bad. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt
- 24:38post show that maybe it was a good idea, but now no, it's
- 24:42not a good idea. I love ad so much. She's the only one
- 24:48I like on this show. I like Amy. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 24:55you have to say it by the couple, because I can't do the one
- 24:56named. I love Amy and Johnny and Amy. Amy's great. I mean,
- 25:03really, really, really really loved Matt. He was such a sweetie.
- 25:07What a catch? Oh gone too soon? You know, like between
- 25:12the lines, you guys, he's the one. Oh what a fucking sociopath
- 25:19nightmare? That was crazy Town, USA. That was what I had watched
- 25:27a little bit of some prior season, so like, leading into this,
- 25:33I just want to get a feel, like yeah, just to get a
- 25:37vibe. And so then when I started season six fully to like, let's
- 25:41get into this, I was like, I'm glad I had some kind of
- 25:45checks and balances because this guy is bonkers. Okay, he looks like a
- 25:53guy that would have been on or I swear he already was on the Bachelorette.
- 25:57You know, he looks like one of those crazy contestants on the Bachelorette.
- 26:00I swear he was. He's so really no, he wasn't. But
- 26:04I'm just saying there was a guy that was crazy like that that looked a
- 26:08lot like him, and it just they're all cut from the same quot I
- 26:12swear these crazy people. I did read that he wasn't just walking out of
- 26:18people when he was like in the pods, you know, like, yeah,
- 26:21he'd ask you a question. Oh they that edited that. Yeah,
- 26:23they that's coming from the people that he was the women that he was talking
- 26:27to, like, yeah, he didn't just do that, Okay, but
- 26:33you know it's funny. That was great. But what I think happened was
- 26:37he was a fucking asshole and the editors were like, you know what,
- 26:40we're just going to play this up. Yeah, so you know, like
- 26:44the producers are like, this guy's cuckoo and we're just going to lean into
- 26:48this. Like he would run down like this is what you want. This
- 26:51is the moment. I'm not here to be a seedless celebrity. This is
- 26:52the moment. This is what you want. You want the moment, Oh
- 26:56my god. Oh that was wild when he was like the audience loves an
- 27:02underdog, and they're on my side this time. You know, at this
- 27:04point, right he was saying yes, yes, creep, creep, And
- 27:08so here's the thing. He liked a d right, and he liked that
- 27:15other girl that ended up leaving ju Amber Amber Amber Amber. Yeah, but
- 27:21like he liked a d and right. Yeah, he said the exact same
- 27:29thing to both of them. Yeah about like a map, I'll find you
- 27:33in this place. Let's get out of here. We can leave right now,
- 27:36like verbatim. That's so, that's terrifying. I mean the fact that
- 27:42he was being filmed and he thought he could get away with this, and
- 27:47he kept saying, I'm being filmed. I mean if I did that,
- 27:51I'm like, yeah, right, you did it, Yeah, you did
- 27:53it. He must have been angling for villain and to be put on another
- 28:00show, or like what if they do a Love is Blind Island like a
- 28:04Bachelor. Yeah, Love is Blind Island, Love is Blind Island on Long
- 28:11Island, Love is Blindling and Long Island. I mean, I think they've
- 28:17had six seasons. They could probably do it by now, and I think
- 28:19that they would be stupid not to. I mean, everybody loves this show,
- 28:23so, I mean it really is like the new version of the Bachelor,
- 28:27essentially because the stakes are so high. To me, yeah, I
- 28:33can watch this more than The Bachelor for some reason, I think because the
- 28:36Bachelor's so long, Like an episode is so long, So if you miss
- 28:41an episode, you're looking at four hours till you're current because you got to
- 28:45watch that episode and this episode. Right. Yeah, that's my main beef
- 28:52with the Bachelor. Yeah you've always said that. Yeah, what you're being
- 28:56able said, we said it, so okay, So Matthew Lee's we talked
- 29:03about Johnny n Amy, We touched a little on Clay and a D.
- 29:08Why don't we just continue with Clay and a d uh at this point and
- 29:12then we'll get into the rest. So, well, is there anything else
- 29:21we need to say about that? About Clay and a D. No,
- 29:23I mean are great. The mother, Oh my god, eighties mom is
- 29:27awesome. When she was like laid it down at that they both are,
- 29:33but eighties mom laying it down to Clay just matter of fact, like oh
- 29:37that doesn't need to be you like, oh and that like that long talk
- 29:41they had when Clay went away for forty five minutes. Yeah, and then
- 29:45the mom was like just giving this great lecture. I was like, I
- 29:52love her. I mean literally, both of their mothers were characters that you
- 29:57see in movie that you know, like that's the type of dialogue you write
- 30:03when you want to write a monologue from an inspired you know, she's lived
- 30:11her life, she's wise beyond her years, loving, perfect mother like that's
- 30:15they both had that on some level. And I just like the mothers,
- 30:22the mothers, they were so great. Now let's see here, Oh boy
- 30:32AD's mom. Her body is really amazing. And I was like, holy
- 30:36shit, like she looks great. So after the vows happened, and after
- 30:41the mom and the dad talk and stuff like that, Clay went and talked
- 30:47to a d and she's just crying and crying and crying. And it was
- 30:52wild to me that he was like even when he was denied her in that
- 30:56moment after she read her vows that he was like I can't do this,
- 31:00I can't go into marriage. That he was like, but I don't want
- 31:04to, like stop dating you or whatever. That was such a weird transition.
- 31:11And then again in the wedding suite, like the bridal suite, I
- 31:15should say, will while they were talking and he was like, come on,
- 31:18you know you're gonna have to, you know, run away from me.
- 31:21And she was just so devastated and crying. And then to see those
- 31:26little girls that were the flower girls. I didn't like that, did not
- 31:30like that. No, those little girls did not need to be in there.
- 31:33We're we've already we already know, like there's an impact going on when
- 31:38you were a kid and you see something like I wish that. I mean,
- 31:42they obviously saw the whole thing happen in front of them, but they
- 31:45didn't have to be in that room. Yeah, I wish they wouldn't have
- 31:49seen that happen in front of them. But what are you going to do?
- 31:52That's what makes me angry at Clay because when there's kids involved here,
- 31:57you have to take in to account that and I you know, he did
- 32:01say at the end, I didn't realize how serious this whole thing is.
- 32:06And you know, there was two ways that I was trying to figure out
- 32:08how to take that. I was like, is he so stupid that he's
- 32:12talking about like marriage. He can't be because he just knows how serious it
- 32:16is. That's why he pulled out. He must have been talking about the
- 32:19show, like how serious everything is, and everyone's reacting so big that he
- 32:24was surprised. It's almost like it took him off guard that everyone was so
- 32:30incredibly devastated of what he did when he probably thought like, well, this
- 32:35is the show. We're just we're also doing a show here, so you
- 32:37can't take it that serious. I mean, why are you being like this?
- 32:40Did you get that vibe? I did get that vibe. I also
- 32:45got the vibe that he wasn't maybe fully saying it, but he kind of
- 32:49teased it that he didn't want to intermingle their finances. Oh yeah, that
- 32:53beat the money thing, yes, And I was like, I get it.
- 32:58You don't know these people, you just all of them, all of
- 33:01the couples. Like that's when to me, it would get much more real
- 33:06than the wedding. It's like, okay, stranger here, let's like,
- 33:12let me be responsible for your debt, you know what I mean? Like
- 33:15that, I honestly didn't even think about that. And you make such a
- 33:17great point. Why didn't we have a moment where they signed prenups? Yeah,
- 33:23prenups or just some kind I mean, they could always everybody could get
- 33:29that annult they're you know, so again, I'm kind of like, you
- 33:32didn't have to humiliate her, But I feel like I feel like that was
- 33:38really weighing on him. Is the financial part of it, because he's he's
- 33:44working towards this thing, and maybe eighty is too, but it's gonna cost
- 33:49him to help her. And he's like, I don't I didn't sign up
- 33:52for this. Well, he's a selfish asshole, you know. I mean,
- 33:55yeah, That's what also bothered me, is like I don't know her
- 33:59finances. I'm like, yeah, they could be bigger and better than yours,
- 34:01you know, like you don't just know her finances. And I think
- 34:06that's why I got scared. Allegendly, I'm making this up out of my
- 34:09head. I'm not even saying I allegedly because I'm making this up, but
- 34:13I that is the vibe I got with, like there's a lot going on,
- 34:19but I think something really got real for him. And then he was
- 34:22like I'm out. And also an excuse. I mean it's also excuses.
- 34:27He's got a million excuses, you know. I mean, there's no excuse
- 34:30for the level of humiliation that she went through because of him. That especially
- 34:35if he had a choice to not do it, which he did so.
- 34:38Oh, by the way, wedding license, so that takes, like I
- 34:45want to say, it takes like thirty days. No, it's good for
- 34:47thirty days. Okay, never mind. I was thinking maybe the marriage when
- 34:52they got married wouldn't have been valid anyway because their wedding license wouldn't have been
- 34:59signed. But that being said, you know what I mean, giving them
- 35:04an out, like they would do it for TV, but it wouldn't actually
- 35:07be real. But what I'm saying is now I'm kind of pushing that aside
- 35:10on my own because if they did do wedding licenses, then they would have
- 35:15been valid. But because I do remember somebody saying, yeah it was Ad.
- 35:19She was like something about the wedding licenses and they have to sign them
- 35:22or something like that. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, they did have to
- 35:25do that. Yeah, that's what an alment's for. Also, yeah,
- 35:31okay, so that was devastating and I really really really you know, the
- 35:37reunions. Next week, we'll talk about what's going on. We'll have more
- 35:42updates on like where they are now, but also where they are in real,
- 35:45real, real real time, you know. So we'll we'll move off
- 35:51of Ad and Clay and why don't we Oh my god, okay, so
- 35:58should we just get into Elsa and Jimmy and Jimmy and Jessica like that whole
- 36:01thing Jeremy. You want to get into Jeremy. Jeremy and Jimmy and Johnny
- 36:08and Johnny, Yeah, Jeremy and Chelseay, Jimmy and No no no,
- 36:16no, no no no, Army and Laura. Yeah, Jeremy and Laura,
- 36:21Jimmy and Chelsea and Chelsea. Okay, yeah, I just mentioned Jimmy
- 36:24and Jessica because there there's the whole thing that I want to talk about too.
- 36:30Yes, So all right, well okay, well why don't we talk
- 36:36about Jeremy and Laura and just get them out of the way, because there's
- 36:37not that much to talk about. But night okay, Okay, that was
- 36:45my favorite line ever. I mean, like first of all, just the
- 36:50delivery of it, like he's kind of a psychopath, but it was sort
- 36:53of funny night okay, which is very matter of fact, like let's get
- 36:59to know each other, like let's see what makes us tick, Let's see
- 37:01what will really drive us to our edge. And these are the types of
- 37:06conversations that, like I think would be incredible to have with somebody before you
- 37:10commit, Like can you agree to not doing this, this and the other
- 37:15thing? Because these things drive me crazy? You know, leaving dishes in
- 37:19the sink a freak. You know, those are the types of things that
- 37:22I kind of like, both drove me fucking crazy. I yeah, what
- 37:27I wanted to root for her. I absolutely didn't root for him, but
- 37:32I was just like, you can't just keep bitching about everything and then you
- 37:39should. Like she was just mean, pinky, constantly mean, sarcastic,
- 37:47patronizing, horrible, horrible person. What don't even remember? And then she
- 37:57got to his house and realized, no, he's as clean as he said.
- 38:00He was probably more than you, probably more than yeah. Anyway,
- 38:04anticipated she like lost all the gas because she was like, oh, I'm
- 38:08not gonna be able to bitch about this right, And then it was like
- 38:14he was two. Yeah, it was like pick a lane. Oh my
- 38:17god. She was awful. Her Everything that came out of her mouth was
- 38:22so mean and so cringing, cringey. Her family hates her like her family
- 38:30was. Her dad was like, yeah, you mean you true to lack
- 38:32a princess. She'll walk all over you. And her mom's like, I'm
- 38:37terrified of her, but you know what, I born her. I born
- 38:42her, but she's mine. But you know what she gone. She done
- 38:45the devil y'all. I mean, these people fucking hate her and they're like,
- 38:52you have my blessing because we don't want to deal with her anymore.
- 38:59Yes, I didn't want to and I didn't like Jeremy. Jeremy was terrible.
- 39:05And then to come to find out that he just when I was coming
- 39:07around to him because she was so mean, I was starting to come around
- 39:12to him, just as him being like the battered you know, husband and
- 39:15I until I found out later that he obviously what he did with Sarah Ann
- 39:22and then finding out that he had like a fiance right before he came on
- 39:25the show, right, and then he's like, yeah, so he picks
- 39:32Laura over Sarah Anne in the pods and then then he gets a DM from
- 39:40her that's like, hey, if you change your mind, and then he
- 39:44hearts it. What were your thoughts on that? Well? If I mean,
- 39:50okay, in the real like, yeah, it was a shitty thing.
- 39:52I would not appreciated a heart response from my fiance right in this context.
- 39:59Right that said, it's a really weird situation. He's just been screamed
- 40:07at for wearing a Hawaiian shirt. Oh my god, Oh that's right.
- 40:10She hates this Hawaiian shirt so much. That was sad. It was just
- 40:16bizarre. I was so glad that her sister was like, it's a way
- 40:22to express yourself. Yeah, she's like, he's kind of being ironic,
- 40:24you fucking idiot, Like, yes, it's bringing back the Hawaiian shirts and
- 40:30making them fun again. And then I think it was their brother in law
- 40:32that was like, I like a well fitted Hawaiian shirt. Yeah. And
- 40:37I again, I really liked her in the pod because she was such a
- 40:42supportive person in the pod and really like, I just really liked her vibe.
- 40:47I just can't believe like once they got out of there, either she
- 40:51was on ultra defense mode because she maybe was getting signals and not knowing how
- 40:55to express herself, or she's a nightmare, or she's nightmare is a wrong
- 41:02word for it. No, she's a nightmare. She's a night her family
- 41:07hates her. Okay. Everything that came out of her mouth was just so
- 41:14can you imagine what it would be like in her life? Impossible to please
- 41:19in this situation. I would like to think she was trying to convince her
- 41:22sister. She's like, but seriously, the Hawaiian shirt's, like you don't
- 41:25she was, are you, yeah, you're right? With all seriousness,
- 41:30Well, regardless even if she's not that bad, which is probably not that
- 41:34bad, I started to think she's the one who's actually sabotaging this, much
- 41:38like Clay was sabotaging it. So she maybe was the one sabotaging it,
- 41:44sabotaging it so she could get out of this situation. Like maybe she really
- 41:47wasn't there for the right reasons, or she wasn't like she just this guy
- 41:52is not opening up, and she's just like the only way maybe also in
- 41:58fairness, maybe the only way he was responding is when she was doing this
- 42:01jabbing. Otherwise he was checked out. I don't know, because he was
- 42:07kind of like like hard to access after the pods like that dude, Marcus
- 42:13was like impossible to access once he had his cell phone. Who was Marcus?
- 42:16Who are you talking about? No, you're talking about Kenneth. Oh
- 42:20Kenneth, Yeah, oh my god, yes, Kenneth. Yeah, he
- 42:25was impossible the principal, right, yes, yes, once he got yeah,
- 42:30he wouldn't speak at all to anybody. Yeah, okay, that's okay,
- 42:37we'll go to them next. But Jeremy ended up hanging out with Sarah
- 42:39Anne until five am. Then he comes home and is like, yeah,
- 42:45I did I hung out with Sarah Ann, And what is your problem,
- 42:50gold Cup? You know, like it just was like, no, wet,
- 42:53we weren't at the bar, we were in the parking lot. I'm
- 42:55like, that's yea worse yes, yes, yeah, yeah, so yeah,
- 43:04this guy's nuts. And then having that, like I did not expect
- 43:07again watching this for the first time, that they would have these like get
- 43:10togethers where they all would show up and now it's like you're with all these
- 43:15people that you were dating in the pods and that was a whole other level.
- 43:19Like these freaking weird ass barbecues where people are going off on one on
- 43:22ones in front of each other. I mean, they really throw everything at
- 43:27this show. It's awkward as how. Sarah Ann shows up, She's like,
- 43:30I don't care, I don't care what I did. You guys,
- 43:35I don't care. To me, says I'm glad I said that, Tom,
- 43:37I'm glad I did. Let's go on the jet skis, fuck you
- 43:42guys, and they're just like, like, since said that, he handled
- 43:45it horribly, But I don't know the status of those two now, but
- 43:50he's like, when I look back and I watched the jet ski scene,
- 43:52yeah that was terrible, Like, well, I don't know, see,
- 43:58a jet ski is like a room buy and I always need to have two
- 44:00running at the same time. So I knew that if I couldn't get Laura
- 44:04out there because she was so pissed off at me and we broke off our
- 44:07engagement, that I had to get someone out there going. I did love
- 44:10the two rumas going. I thought that was really funny. Yeah, all
- 44:15right, let's talk about Brittany and Kenneth. This was really really fucking crazy
- 44:21to me. This poor girl did not know what she was in for.
- 44:25Like, I feel like Brittany really got her and little southern ass handed to
- 44:30her right quick and did not deserve to be on this show. Did not.
- 44:35She was the only really vulnerable one in the whole bunch. Everyone else
- 44:40can take it, everyone else can be but she seemed like she's gonna need
- 44:46to go away for a while after this. And I'm not trying to be
- 44:51mean, I just like I genuinely was concerned for her in that kitchen,
- 44:55in the weird existential housing that doesn't exist, like it's another dimension where they
- 45:00were purgatory. But she's in there and Kenneth, who is just like from
- 45:08the jump when they leave the pods, is completely disinterested, is not physical
- 45:15is they're on these boats. She's like, yeah, look at this,
- 45:19look at this. And then when I was little, this in that and
- 45:21he's like, mmm, on his phone, she starts talking about she sees
- 45:25a dolphin. He's like, oh my god, a dolphin. Oh when
- 45:28I was a kid. And I'm like, he didn't even have his phone
- 45:30yet then, but he was right, he might as well. He might
- 45:34he might as well. He just tune out. But then the dolphins got
- 45:37him. I was like, Oh, there's there's hope, there's life.
- 45:39And then I was like, well, maybe he's like I don't know,
- 45:44I don't know. I didn't know what was going on. Okay, and
- 45:46a dolphin tea chain. He was real excited. But I was like,
- 45:50there's the life back in him that she obviously fell in love with. Maybe
- 45:54he was just having a bad day because I had high hopes for them.
- 45:58I actually did then, and to see that he was clearly checked out,
- 46:02I was like, what is he so disappointed in? You know? I
- 46:07think that he was thinking about getting back with his girlfriend. Yeah right,
- 46:15yeah, because he made back off. I'll be right over coming it's over
- 46:19now. I think he was in over his I think he was also there
- 46:28for the right reasons, and I think he was in over his head the
- 46:30second this thing started and then he was like wait, I don't It was
- 46:36interesting too, because like they had to follow him once those two kind of
- 46:40locked in and they were having a good time not seeing each other, and
- 46:45then the second that after that moment, it was like he, I just
- 46:51don't think he was attracted to her. Hm, Okay, I think you
- 46:54know what I mean, Like, I think that that happens. Love is
- 46:58not blind Russell. This situation, yeah, yeah, that was sad and
- 47:04he was trying. That's the I think out of everybody, you could really
- 47:08see him trying and she was already there and it was kind of sad.
- 47:15It was so sad because it was so one sided. Yeah, but I
- 47:21just don't know about him. I don't know if he was there for the
- 47:22right reasons. Now. I'm not sure no one is there for the right
- 47:27reasons. That's that's true. I will do you think, but doesn't do
- 47:31anything. Britney was there for the right reasons. She might be the only
- 47:36one. She's so naive and young and like, yeah, I don't know.
- 47:45I mean they who knows what the right reasons are. I mean I
- 47:50could see if you've been I mean, there is an adventure to it.
- 47:54I think everybody wants an adventure. What are the wrong reasons? I don't
- 47:59know. Well it's the fifteen minutes. Yeah, but it's like two opportunity
- 48:06money. Well, the wrong reasons are fame, opportunity money, potential branding
- 48:16everything. I mean you, yeah, it's not that. It's not a
- 48:21matter of like, you might not make a ton of money doing the show,
- 48:22but you will make money from having this name and this credit, so
- 48:27then you have potential opportunities elsewhere. But what bothered me about this was because
- 48:35I couldn't get a handle on why he was sabotaging it. And that's obviously
- 48:39what he was doing. I don't think that he really needed to be on
- 48:42his phone that much. He was so disinterested, and she's like, you
- 48:47getta unpack, cameras are here. It felt like she was his mother.
- 48:55Like I think he got annoyed. I think he must have just been annoyed
- 48:58because she started to get annoyed. She was like, make sure you don't
- 49:00stay on that phone too long, and then it was insting to be with
- 49:05someone you're not attracted to, Like I can't do. It's like if I'm
- 49:09like dating some if I back when I was dating, I feel like,
- 49:15even if I really liked the person, if I wasn't attracted to them,
- 49:17that's gonna like it's just not going to work. Love is not blind,
- 49:22and that's what I've No, it's sure, this fuck isn't. We're a
- 49:25couple of scientists and we figured it out. Yeah it's not that hard,
- 49:29you know. Yeah, so okay, I've been the greatest person, but
- 49:37not for him. Yeah, it was sad about Brittany. Was Brittany?
- 49:44All right? So now let's let's go up and talk about Jimmy and Jessica.
- 49:51Jessica the gal who we were just talking about in our news portion on
- 49:57the podcast about how I went to her Instagram and saw that she's got like
- 50:00five hundred and fifty forty thousand followers and she's labeled herself a comedian, and
- 50:08she says that the reason why she didn't bring up her daughter at all to
- 50:16any of these dates until like what ten in because being a mother doesn't define
- 50:23me. But as she said, it's the It is the most important thing
- 50:30in her life and the proudest thing that she's ever accomplished, But it doesn't
- 50:37define her. To me, that is a definition of who you are.
- 50:40The biggest part of your life is part of who you are, and it
- 50:45does define you. By not sharing that she is a child, when the
- 50:50first two dates is the most third date, that's a fairness too far.
- 50:57It should be at the Honestly, in this situation, it should be on
- 51:00the first date. Okay, you can agree. I agree. I don't
- 51:07mind. I know. I'm think, well, it's hard because I don't
- 51:09have a kid, So I think you've got judgment I do. I think
- 51:16unforgivable if you don't do it after the third, understandable if you do it's
- 51:22the third. I think I would have done it this second. It's it
- 51:27makes it feel like a dirty little secret, which is a gross feeling to
- 51:30have when you're talking about your child and it feels like a bamboozle. It
- 51:34feels like you've surprised me. And I think her point being like, I
- 51:37want I understand her thinking, and I think it's just naive, but and
- 51:43it's stupid. So I don't agree with it. But I understand what she's
- 51:46trying to say, but I don't believe it's right. And that is this
- 51:50I don't want to be defined by I don't want you to judge me.
- 51:54I don't want you to make a decision about me until you see how sparkling
- 51:59in dazzling I am, and let the mother thing tarnish it. I want
- 52:06you to fall in love with my sparkling personality first, so that you know
- 52:10that I'm worth it, that the child thing won't matter because I'm worth it.
- 52:15And it's like, no, it doesn't work that way. You're you're
- 52:20actually you're not being honest, and yeah, you're right. It should have
- 52:25been the first first out because it is something that it's like, it is
- 52:31weird, you're right, It makes it a weird secret, like, well,
- 52:37why didn't you tell me right away? What else is there? What
- 52:40else is there? And also you have to understand that the other person would
- 52:45like to know they're either open to being a parent a step parent, or
- 52:52they're not, and that's really important. That's why it's so shocking to me
- 52:55that they didn't have that conversation. I would think that no matter how how
- 53:00old you are, you'd be like, do you have any kids now?
- 53:01Do you? Yes? You know, like do you want to have kids?
- 53:06That that would be in the first couple of conversations. So it's very,
- 53:10very weird, and that she's literally saying my husband before she even tells
- 53:19him about her child, Like she's yelling that it's true. Yeah, it's
- 53:23pretty psychotic, and she's, uh, oh, yeah, she wrote this
- 53:31letter to her husband, her future husband, and uh he reads it.
- 53:37She gives it to him, he reads it, and then he's like,
- 53:39I don't know if I can tell you exactly what you want at this point,
- 53:44and she's like, I don't like this, and then the next thing
- 53:49you know, it's there. He's torn between two people, Jessica and Chelsea,
- 53:52and I love that. She was like, I don't like this.
- 53:54You're torn between two people. That's blasphemy. It's blasphemy between the Holy Spirit?
- 54:06Yeah, God? Right? Is he torn between two people? Yeah?
- 54:09Is he torn between God and you? Or is he saying that you
- 54:15might be God? Is that what he's saying. I don't I don't get
- 54:19this. I mean, that was hilarious to me. And then he's like,
- 54:23well, you're using big words, and I never dated no one who
- 54:28used big words like that. I typically let somebody tell I typically date someone
- 54:34lets me tell them, like what to do and where to go. So
- 54:43and then her rebuttal for him, not like choosing her, was when you
- 54:49see me, when you see what you missed out on, you are going
- 54:53to choke. You aren't going to need an EPI pen to open your airways
- 54:58because you won't believe what you've missed out on. I mean I did like
- 55:02that. I did like it too. I did love it. I loved
- 55:07it. I love it. I loved it. Yeah, I mean because
- 55:12she wasn't wrong. I mean she was dropped dead gorse. I mean it
- 55:15was so funny the the comparison to the Megan foxing, because I'm like,
- 55:21she's the Megan Fox you know, yeah, totally. Oh my god.
- 55:30So they had when they had their one on one later, can you please
- 55:35tell me? I swear he said, well, you're still my number one?
- 55:38I swear he said that, what the fuck are you serious? I
- 55:42did he'd said that, like, what does that even mean? I don't
- 55:46know you had a kid, because she had a kid, is that what
- 55:50he meant. But he also said he said in an interview which I saw,
- 55:53which is that Jessica got a really good edit for the last date that
- 56:00they had, because she was like, yeah, yeah, baby, she
- 56:10was I guess reading and for filth, like for hours or just being so
- 56:15mean and awful, and he was like, she got a really good at
- 56:20it apparent, yeah, which is why he ended up choosing Chelsea because she
- 56:27was so mad. Jessica was so mad that he hadn't chosen someone yet because
- 56:30that was the date. Remember when everyone was just like bringing a bunch of
- 56:34shit to the date and like, here's some fucking h here's like a feather
- 56:37and a toothpick and my old you know, baby shoes and some sushi.
- 56:42It's like what the fuck? Like, oh, here's we're gonna play uno,
- 56:47and and also here's a white dove. Will you marry me? I'm
- 56:52like, this is the most fucked up show I've ever seen in my life.
- 56:58So weird. Yeah, and I didn't bring whoa look at this?
- 57:06You're gonna have some sushi. It was also weird because it was as though
- 57:09these guys had picked out these items for them when it was really probably like
- 57:14some prop person. I also kept feeling so bad for all the pas I
- 57:19had to hustle those metal cups everywhere for people wash. I kept thinking God,
- 57:24yeah yeah, and like, oh, no you you were supposed to
- 57:30bring the metal cups to the amusement park. No you were. And then
- 57:35they got to like, oh I still had two of my trunk from the
- 57:37last shoot. Let's just use the right. They're disgusting. They have not
- 57:42been washed. They're bringing them from cracker barrel to the parking lot. Was
- 57:46there Anne and Jeremy just in case they filmed? There? These fucking gold
- 57:51medal cups. Yeah, loud as ship when they fall like so loud forget,
- 57:58It's like, we need to do this. I'm not gonna give my
- 58:01not. I want to drink wine on it. Don't take mine like Chelsea
- 58:07will give you your gold cut back. No, I want it. Also
- 58:14red Flag. Is anyone who laughed at the Love is Wine bottles? I
- 58:19was like nope, I couldn't, couldn't get off the floor totally my sense
- 58:22of humor. Oh awful, awful? Yep, Well are we gonna talk
- 58:30about Chelsea? Yeah, let's get Chelsea? Okay? Our favorite is she
- 58:36your favorite to like love and hate, I mean both of those two.
- 58:40I don't know. It's definitely one of my strongest dislikes. I mean right
- 58:46right, I really liked Amy and I really liked Ady, and then I
- 58:52really liked I liked Laura in the pod and then that all change. Chelsea.
- 58:59I was like, this is a loose can I'm here, Yeah,
- 59:04Also put your shoes on, Like, and what is with those plastic like
- 59:08Cinderella? Everybody was wearing those I know why, I don't know. Everybody's
- 59:16wearing a muted jewel tone outfit and a basic cut and like no patterns or
- 59:24prints. It was all depressing. And those fucking shoes clear shoes. If
- 59:32I have to see Chelsea cry and like try and try and find her other
- 59:37shoe in a room that is like four by six, it's not that far
- 59:44away, I'll die. I'll freak. Okay, I'll freak, I'll freak,
- 59:51I'll freak, I'll freak, I'll freak, I'll go serial killer.
- 1:00:00So she was boring a shit, So I oh, I'm not gonna say
- 1:00:05anything good about him, but I mean, do you think, like why
- 1:00:08Jessica. Jessica and Chelsea both really vied with Jimmy and it must have been
- 1:00:15like they must have thought he was super hot because of his voice. Like
- 1:00:20I, if I heard his voice, I wouldn't have thought that he looked
- 1:00:22the way he would have. I would have pictured tall, dark and handsome,
- 1:00:28definitely built, kind of like a lovable teddy bear, but really sexy,
- 1:00:34and that would be super chill and like so I could see them falling
- 1:00:39for his voice, thinking that there's something there. But well, I also
- 1:00:45think in those pods, I don't know how much Chelsea and Jessica in their
- 1:00:50life have had a dude be interested in what they're saying and listening to them
- 1:00:55and providing feedback in a reasonable manner with him them. It seems like maybe
- 1:01:02they don't have those kind of interactions off it. So anybody that's going to
- 1:01:08remember details and then call them back and think that they're interesting, I mean,
- 1:01:15all bets are off which I that is obviously the point of this,
- 1:01:19and that's why Jessica wanted to do this because she obviously doesn't want people just
- 1:01:23taking her for her looks, right, And Chelsea wants this because she doesn't
- 1:01:35want to be taking advantage of her looks either, Right, she doesn't want
- 1:01:38them to run away from the incessant talking and laughing. God, she laughed
- 1:01:51at everything Trevor and Jimmy said, and Jimmie loved it. He's like us,
- 1:01:55I know, so did Trevor. That's just as I know, my
- 1:02:01god. Cherio Terry had that great quote. I've probably said it before,
- 1:02:07which is she said in some interview, guys always say they want to girl
- 1:02:12with a sense of humor, but what they really want is a girl with
- 1:02:14big tits that laughs at their jokes. We're so perfect. That is so
- 1:02:19perfect because like Cherio Terry is like one of the funniest people on the planet.
- 1:02:22And she's like, yeah, no, they are not interested. That's
- 1:02:27exactly right, that is one hundred percent right, Yeah, yeah, Oh
- 1:02:30my god, So jim Jimmy. Finally, when Chelsea's torn between Trevor and
- 1:02:37Jimmy and then she goes into that date, there was like all that,
- 1:02:42you know, built up, uh, not animosity, but built up suspense
- 1:02:47because we weren't sure that if she was going to choose Jimmy or Trevor,
- 1:02:52and so we see them both waiting in the pods and then finally she goes
- 1:02:55in and she sits with Jimmy and you're like, oh, wow, okay,
- 1:02:58so she's choosing him, and but she's expecting him to say, like
- 1:03:02I want to break up. So he's like, well, I love you,
- 1:03:10let's play checkers or shit, shit, we don't have we can't see
- 1:03:15each other. And then she's I mean the amount of times this girl's like
- 1:03:20I almost passed out. I almost she's like she's a little too transparent.
- 1:03:23She's like, I almost shit my pants, Like shit myself just now.
- 1:03:29I almost just shit. I almost like just dribbled in my fucking drawers,
- 1:03:35just like shit streamed like soft serve. Holy you just said you love me.
- 1:03:47I don't. I don't even know. I just oh, my god,
- 1:03:51like I just threw up. Well I just threw up in my mouth
- 1:03:55and on my shoe. I can't find the other one. But I'm oh,
- 1:04:00I didn't even know what to say. Oh. And like the fact
- 1:04:03that she wasn't like I love you back was so weird too. And to
- 1:04:09think about this woman, know, it was great, and she held the
- 1:04:13like she held everything in her hands between Trevor, this like love triangle between
- 1:04:18Trevor and Jimmy and her, and it was like it was her. It
- 1:04:25was just so funny to me. I feel like I couldn't get past the
- 1:04:29Megan Fox thing. I couldn't get back the way that was the worst thing
- 1:04:32she was done. It wasn't that I don't think. I actually do think
- 1:04:36she looks I do believe people probably have said that to her because she's a
- 1:04:41flight attendant on a flight of all the people on the plane, Sure she
- 1:04:45looks like Megan Fox. Fine, But it was the fact that to me,
- 1:04:49she broke the rules and I couldn't get past that. And then on
- 1:04:54top of that, it was not accurate right to a t. It really
- 1:05:00she threw things off. Yeah, and so I never quite got past that.
- 1:05:05And I know, but I also don't think that she deserved the full
- 1:05:12on blowout in the news and everything. I felt bad about that. I
- 1:05:15do feel bad about that. Yeah, I don't like that. However,
- 1:05:19she did set herself up, and I think, what I didn't even think
- 1:05:23about that, what you're saying about breaking the rules. But that's exactly why
- 1:05:28I was upset about it. I just couldn't articulate. I couldn't figure it
- 1:05:31out because it's like, well, what are you doing? You're now you're
- 1:05:34painting a picture of what you look like. That's against what this whole process
- 1:05:40is about. And not only that, but you've set yourself up to fail
- 1:05:44because you're going to walk out there and you're not going to be anything like
- 1:05:47what someone would expect. He's gonna want to see the exact, you know,
- 1:05:53carbon copy of Megan Fox in order to make that point stick. And
- 1:05:56it's not. I do see what you're saying too, Like, I agree.
- 1:05:59I think she's got a lot of similarities. It's the the eyes and
- 1:06:02the eyebrows and the dark hair, and you know there are and there are
- 1:06:15there are there are enough similarities there are. I get that. Like,
- 1:06:18yes, some buddy on a flight one time said, you look like that
- 1:06:24girl from Transformers, right, yeah, So also what is his name that
- 1:06:31Megan Fox who she was married to, Brian Austin Green. Yeah, so
- 1:06:36she commented he did, oh yeah, oh yeah, he's like he said
- 1:06:42something along the lines of like, well, those are pretty high standards.
- 1:06:46She's one of the most beautiful people in the world. It's kind of hard
- 1:06:49to look like her or something like that. You made some comment it was
- 1:06:54kid gloves and nice, but I mean it was somebody asking him, like,
- 1:06:58oh, somebody asked, okay, yeah, last thing I need is
- 1:07:02him weighing in on women's looks. Okay, you just you go ahead and
- 1:07:06do your thing. But like didn't she say bag, like married to Bag
- 1:07:12or something like that, or no, she said right, she made it
- 1:07:17a she had an action like she she acted like she couldn't think of Megan
- 1:07:21Fox's name, yeah because she she yeah, or she was like giving a
- 1:07:27clue when it's like you're already Why would you give a clue if you're just
- 1:07:30gonna paint a picture of it? It was so weird, okay whatever.
- 1:07:34Yeah, So Jimmy says it was a roller coaster and he almost went home.
- 1:07:42And then Chelsea's like, oh, I'm not happy to hear that,
- 1:07:45which is the roller coaster that Jimmy starts to put her on, which is
- 1:07:48like I love you. Yeah, I almost went home, you know.
- 1:07:54And and also when she told him that she had been married before, and
- 1:07:57he was like, crickets, cricket, and she's like hello, you know,
- 1:08:03I'm like I'm sweating and I can't find my shoe and I just pissed
- 1:08:06my pants. Are you there? And he's like, well, it's not
- 1:08:11the worst thing I've been told today. And she's like, okay, so
- 1:08:15you know, he just and then he bounces back and is like it doesn't
- 1:08:20matter at all, all right, and then they so anyway, they meet,
- 1:08:26they go to the Dominican Republic. Everyone's the Dominican Republic, the DR
- 1:08:30And the first scene we see of them is like Jimmy talking about Jessica to
- 1:08:34her. How He's like, Hey, why'd you run your big fucking mouth
- 1:08:39when you went out and told people that I said I loved you because I
- 1:08:43was like needed to kind of break up with that other girl, and she
- 1:08:46already done then no, then done new So she was all attitude and I
- 1:08:54was all huh and then I'm all like shit, and it just was real
- 1:08:58uncomfortable. And I also fucking almost bit my face off when I was eating
- 1:09:03taketos. Remember already said that yes, yes, yes, you need to
- 1:09:09take it down and odds, Jimmy, no, I kinda got it because
- 1:09:15and I again not a fan of him either, but Chelsea was relentless and
- 1:09:20I very in a different way from Laura. Chelsea wasn't bitching about everything.
- 1:09:26She was just so insecure. Yeah, and the only way she could get
- 1:09:30his attention and validation was to have these blowouts where she was like sobbing for
- 1:09:35affirmation and I was like, I can't keep doing this. He looks like
- 1:09:41a thumb. Why are you so upset? Why do you need this?
- 1:09:45Like, I mean, I should take it a step further. His personality
- 1:09:49was that of a thumb. It was that of a thumb. At like
- 1:09:54he was. There was nothing about him that was like worth needing to make
- 1:09:59sure that he I thought you were the greatest person on the planet at all
- 1:10:01times. Ever, could never fill that metal cup of Chelsea. He could
- 1:10:06never fill that metal I mean, she she's never gonna have that enough validation.
- 1:10:11I hope she gets counseling so she understands how to Like actually, I
- 1:10:15heard that she was in therapy. I did hear that. Wow, Emily,
- 1:10:19He's never responded faster with more passion in your life, Jesus. I
- 1:10:25mean he needs it too. I mean, but like when he went out
- 1:10:28to that birthday and then for one in like one hour or ninety minutes,
- 1:10:34he went to a birthday of his friend and she lost her mind and then
- 1:10:40called him out for sleeping with his friend. Oh God, that was so
- 1:10:43great, which was supposed to be secret love. It was supposed to be
- 1:10:46secret. He's like, damn, you're cold. I told you that so
- 1:10:50that you wouldn't ruin my best friends, My friends would benefits a lover,
- 1:10:57why'd you'd gone? Don't do that girl? And that was the And she
- 1:11:02had so many points. It's like, yes, of course I have a
- 1:11:05problem with these two girlfriends that you made me hang out with. You've totally
- 1:11:10fucked her, Like what are you doing? You? And then we find
- 1:11:13out that they talk all day, they text all day, They're like facetiming.
- 1:11:17He's like, well, that's what you do with friends with benefits.
- 1:11:20What's wrong? And she's like, I'm you're soon to be wife. Like
- 1:11:25what are you doing? He's like you drunk? Of course I am.
- 1:11:27They keep handing me these gold chalices filled with love is wine? What am
- 1:11:30I supposed to do? And so I cut her off. She ain't gonna
- 1:11:35fuck me, So you tell me what I'm supposed to do with this friend
- 1:11:39with benefits? Oh my god, unbelievable. Then that day that they had
- 1:11:54a great with ay, they go pick out their wedding dresses. It's like,
- 1:11:57say yes to the dress all of a sudden, Oh my god,
- 1:12:00Oh my god, you look like a princess. I'm crying. This is
- 1:12:03my moment. And then and then they're picking out wedding music that day or
- 1:12:12whatever day it was. I don't know, I'm in We're in the void
- 1:12:15at this point. And then Jimmy and she and Jimmy are just sitting there
- 1:12:19and Chelsea's like, they leave a cliffhanger that she might not want to move
- 1:12:25forward with the wedding last week. Then we pick it up and she's like,
- 1:12:31never felt more comfortable and never felt more confident and I was in our
- 1:12:35life and he's like, yeah, I just feel like you are the one
- 1:12:44and only one that I will not go to the altar whip. What are
- 1:12:53you kidding me right now? I mean, in a way, that was
- 1:13:00pretty perfect because they he was smart, Unlike the wedding where there's a lot
- 1:13:03of people there. He got them to shut down his favorite amusement park for
- 1:13:08the day and have like this amazing night. And then he's like and I'm
- 1:13:12out. So I was like, Okay, that's why he did this.
- 1:13:15He was there for that reason. He just wanted to have a private experience
- 1:13:20at that amusement park. She's like, that's kind of ever been here before,
- 1:13:26and he's like, fucking loveless. Please shit, damn elephants over there,
- 1:13:40go on the school knows God, damn tea cups right now, Chill.
- 1:13:47I did read that they keep the rings. The show provides the rings,
- 1:13:53and that's why they look dinky. Well not according to everybody that saw
- 1:13:58them. It's like, wow, you really big whoa hello, Hello,
- 1:14:02Hello, my little lady, my little sparkler A nasty meet you. I
- 1:14:09mean, look, neil uh, Neilane was not popping up in there,
- 1:14:13you know. Neelane's like please you wish exactly speaking of other and Nick Lache
- 1:14:23was barely popping up in there. And that was another thing. I was
- 1:14:26like, whoa, okay, can we get a can we get a pulse
- 1:14:30on this one? Crah Production medic, can we get a pulse on this
- 1:14:33one? And Vanessa's like that is how he always is. And I treat
- 1:14:39it with kindness and love and affirmation. Five couples have made it to the
- 1:14:44rounds and have been engaged. We are now in the Dominican Republic. Nick
- 1:14:53Nick Nick, Hey, we're having a great time here. They had to
- 1:15:02put him in a coma. He's in a coma he hosts from his coma.
- 1:15:10You could call that a coma host coma hosting. So college, all
- 1:15:19right, So they break up and he's like, yeah, the reason why
- 1:15:27is because you outed that me and my bestie ft and I'm worried about her
- 1:15:31reputation. And he's probably exhausted from having to constantly tell her everything's great and
- 1:15:41he loves her. It was disaster, and then he would have these weird
- 1:15:47moments where he would need it to be affirmed. Also, like at the
- 1:15:53party where she's like, that's the number one couple and he's like, we're
- 1:15:55not for number one couple. I was like, what fucking world bringing that
- 1:16:00up? Yeah, I mean in that amusement park and she was like,
- 1:16:05well, this isn't the best place I've been to. He's like, what
- 1:16:14what do you mean, Chelsea? Well, I mean like I've been to
- 1:16:17like Disney World, Like that's amazing. This is just like you know fair
- 1:16:20you know, in our local town. Could you could you say that?
- 1:16:29I don't remember you saying that in the pots. Well it's not that,
- 1:16:34I mean you think it's like the greatest place. Yeah, I do I
- 1:16:39do you think it's the greatest place on her He should always be drinking white
- 1:16:50milk. It's just a cup of white milk for that white man. I
- 1:17:01had to go meet his parents at their fucking cracker barrel and like that barbecue
- 1:17:08place. But I did look like the crack. It did feel like a
- 1:17:11cracker barrel. No love a cracker barrel. But yeah, I mean these
- 1:17:15parents are just like, hell, yeah, I just want I just want
- 1:17:19them to be happy. You just go on. You just seem like a
- 1:17:24real nast girl. When I was up there at the buffet with you,
- 1:17:27and I noticed that you let me go before you. You said, here
- 1:17:30you go, you take this plate before me. I knew. I knew
- 1:17:33right then and there that when we were entering that part of the salad bar
- 1:17:38and we both passed by that salad and went right over there to that is
- 1:17:44pretty low for all these parents that have these apparently high standards, like yeah,
- 1:17:53the bar is so low. Once they meet, they're like, we
- 1:17:56accepted, please get rid of get rid of this person out of my life.
- 1:18:08Yeah. So I don't know, all right, I think that we
- 1:18:12covered it. I mean, I think that's about as much as we can
- 1:18:14get out of milk out of this one. What do you think I think
- 1:18:16this anything great? No? Okay, I mean I'll watch that reunion.
- 1:18:20Yeah, but I don't know. I guess I'll watch the show again.
- 1:18:26I think it was definitely interesting. I could have done with faster edits absolutely.
- 1:18:35Yeah, so that's my note to the scientists. Great now, Emily,
- 1:18:44would you ever do an experiment like this? No? No, I
- 1:18:50think that maybe next week we could talk a little bit more about like if
- 1:18:54it were a blind date in this type of format where you want to get
- 1:18:59information out, the most important information and questions that like, what would our
- 1:19:01questions be for that person? You know? Because I really feel like they
- 1:19:04all drop the ball and what they needed to hear, except for maybe Amy
- 1:19:09and Johnny. They seem to really get through stuff. I just want to
- 1:19:14remind people that there are things called telephones and you can, like before you
- 1:19:19date someone, call and talk to them for as long as you'd like without
- 1:19:25seeing them. Now, social media does kind of, yeah, throw that
- 1:19:29off because you can look at pictures. Yeah, and in fairness, if
- 1:19:34somebody doesn't have a bunch of pictures or landing, if you can't find them
- 1:19:40online, that is a red flag. So yeah, now I'm taking that
- 1:19:42back. So this is definitely the only way to do this in the pods.
- 1:19:47In the pods, it's the only way. It's the way. And
- 1:19:53I don't know how much of background check they said that they did this huge
- 1:19:56background check. I'm like, what, Clearly it's hard because like how could
- 1:20:03you I don't know, maybe to make sure there wasn't like major criminal history.
- 1:20:09Yeah, I think that's what it means. It doesn't I don't know,
- 1:20:12like if they have girlfriends or boyfriends, and that would be very difficult
- 1:20:16to figure out unless you're yeah, I don't know how they could figure that
- 1:20:19out because they're taking them. They had character like assessment, like people call
- 1:20:26this is my mom, or call my cousin, or you can call it
- 1:20:29likes three references. Basically they would know, but they wouldn't wrap them out
- 1:20:33because that person would have prepared them and say, I want to go on
- 1:20:36this show please. When they call you, I put them as my references.
- 1:20:40Don't say that I'm engaged. Oh okay, okay, han, no
- 1:20:46problem, Mama loves you, totally say it. I would be a bad
- 1:20:51reference. Well, this has been really fun night okay, okay, eh
- 1:21:03freak Oh what a blast. Thank you guys so much for listening. Emily,
- 1:21:10this was really fun. Thank you for doing this. This was a
- 1:21:12real marathon. You really, you know, you put your big, big
- 1:21:15girl pants on and you just you dove right in And I appreciate that anytime,
- 1:21:20anytime for a love is blind. Oh wow. Okay. Also,
- 1:21:25we hated the show. We hate this show. Drama, Darling, Drama, Darling
