- 0:00Speaker 1: Stirring the pot one morning at a time. Welcome to
- 0:05Speaker 1: the Alabama show.
- 0:16Speaker 2: I just realized the best thing about being an adult yesterday.
- 0:20Speaker 3: What could that be?
- 0:22Speaker 2: For dinner, I had an ice cream sundae and then
- 0:26Speaker 2: I went to Taco Bell. And had a Crunchwrap Supreme
- 0:29Speaker 2: for dessert. Yeah, and who's going to tell you no?
- 0:31Speaker 2: We're adults. Nobody's going to tell me no. Literally the
- 0:37Speaker 2: best banana split for dinner.
- 0:39Speaker 3: I was like, oh my God, I'm eating dinner backwards.
- 0:42Speaker 3: I'm having dessert first. Look at this picture.
- 0:44Speaker 2: I go into this little ice cream shop and the
- 0:46Speaker 2: guy goes, do you want it fully loaded?
- 0:48Speaker 1: And I went.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Yes, please.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Sprinkles, caramel sauce. Do you know how long it's been
- 0:55Speaker 3: since I've had a banana split? Probably 20 years. Did
- 0:58Speaker 3: you look at him and say, I'm an adult. Load
- 1:00Speaker 3: me up.
- 1:02Speaker 1: No.
- 1:04Speaker 2: I also did not tell them that the banana split
- 1:06Speaker 2: was my dinner first.
- 1:07Speaker 3: And then I was going to get food after.
- 1:09Speaker 2: It's great.
- 1:10Speaker 4: The only thing that could have made it better is
- 1:11Speaker 4: go swimming immediately after.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Because you're an adult. I can do what I want. Hey,
- 1:17Speaker 3: studies say eating before you.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Swim is good now.
- 1:21Speaker 3: It's good now?
- 1:22Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:23Speaker 3: You won't drown.
- 1:24Speaker 1: You'll be good.
- 1:24Speaker 3: The experts say it's fine.
- 1:26Speaker 4: And you know why?
- 1:27Speaker 3: Because I'm an adult.
- 1:28Speaker 6: That's right.
- 1:28Speaker 3: I'm an adult. Grown up.
- 1:30Speaker 5: I can be an adult.
- 1:30Speaker 3: 50 chickens. If I want, it's my house. Wait a second.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Hold on.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Let's go on to the fun stuff. OK, good morning.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Thanks for listening to the show.
- 1:43Speaker 1: It's what the hell headlines.
- 1:44Speaker 3: What the hell are you talking about?
- 1:46Speaker 1: On the Alabama show.
- 1:49Speaker 2: A woman was left trapped alone inside of an urgent
- 1:52Speaker 2: care after they closed for the night.
- 1:55Speaker 1: What the hell?
- 1:57Speaker 4: I don't know if that is super scary to be
- 1:59Speaker 4: inside or feel safe.
- 2:00Speaker 3: It's an urgent care. It was a woman in New Hampshire.
- 2:03Speaker 2: She went to urgent care for treatment after suffering an
- 2:06Speaker 2: asthma attack. They forgot about her, locked her in the
- 2:09Speaker 2: building for the night. She called 911 and had to
- 2:11Speaker 2: be rescued.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Listen to this.
- 2:13Speaker 6: I popped my head out and said.
- 2:15Speaker 7: Hello?
- 2:16Speaker 1: Hello?
- 2:17Speaker 3: Very shocking.
- 2:18Speaker 6: Just like, I can't believe this just happened to me
- 2:20Speaker 6: because literally when I was thinking in my head, sitting
- 2:22Speaker 6: there at 10 past eight, I was like, they would
- 2:24Speaker 6: never lock me in.
- 2:25Speaker 3: That's crazy talk.
- 2:26Speaker 6: That only happens in movies or on a show. About
- 2:29Speaker 6: 10 past eight, I was like, huh, it's kind of quiet.
- 2:33Speaker 6: I'm not sure what's going on. And then I felt
- 2:35Speaker 6: a little funny because you always feel funny popping out
- 2:37Speaker 6: of the door when you're in a doctor's office. As
- 2:40Speaker 6: soon as I got near the door and pressed the
- 2:42Speaker 6: door immediately, and it was so shrill and loud, it
- 2:44Speaker 6: startled me. Maybe let them know and remind them that
- 2:47Speaker 6: you're in the room if you're there. Near close.
- 2:49Speaker 1: What the hell? Super easy trivia with The Alabama Show.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Today, Producer Blake, you are my game show contestant. All right,
- 2:58Speaker 3: let's play. Are you ready?
- 2:59Speaker 5: I am.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Question number one.
- 3:02Speaker 5: Okay.
- 3:03Speaker 3: And your reputation is on the line.
- 3:06Speaker 5: Okay, yes.
- 3:07Speaker 3: How smart you are. Whose nose grew longer every time
- 3:10Speaker 3: he lied? That would be Pinocchio. Good job. Thank you.
- 3:15Speaker 3: What type of fish is Nemo?
- 3:17Speaker 5: Clown.
- 3:18Speaker 3: He's a clownfish. Good job.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Thanks.
- 3:23Speaker 3: I was looking for clownfish, not just clown. Well, it
- 3:26Speaker 3: is a fish.
- 3:27Speaker 6: It's a clown.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Next one. Okay. Last one. For the win.
- 3:30Speaker 5: Okay.
- 3:31Speaker 3: What is a group of lions called? That'd be a prod.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Prod is it.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Congratulations, buddy. You made it through. Thank you. My reputation
- 3:49Speaker 3: still holds.
- 3:50Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know with the Alabama show.
- 3:54Speaker 2: The Alabama Cooperative Extension System is asking for photos and
- 3:58Speaker 2: videos of Hurricane Issa. agricultural damage so they want to
- 4:02Speaker 2: hear from farmers that were impacted by the hurricane last
- 4:05Speaker 2: weekend because the pictures and videos could help bring in
- 4:08Speaker 2: economic relief for farmers where the hurricane had a major
- 4:11Speaker 2: impact on their livelihood because a lot of people lost
- 4:14Speaker 2: crops and lost some some they had major damage they
- 4:18Speaker 2: also want you if you're a farmer to contact the
- 4:20Speaker 2: u.s department of agriculture's farm service agency so that hopefully
- 4:25Speaker 2: you can recover some of the losses so if you're
- 4:27Speaker 2: not a farmer but you know a farmer just give
- 4:29Speaker 2: them that information Selma Blair will still appear at 90s
- 4:33Speaker 2: Con after her airplane assault arrest. If you missed it,
- 4:37Speaker 2: actress Selma Blair was arrested on Sunday after allegedly punching
- 4:41Speaker 2: one flight attendant, biting another, and attempting to open the
- 4:43Speaker 2: plane door midair. She was taken into custody when the
- 4:46Speaker 2: plane landed, then taken to a hospital.
- 4:48Speaker 3: This is not her first airplane incident.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Her reps say she experienced a medical emergency that led.
- 4:54Speaker 3: To the incident.
- 4:55Speaker 2: She went to court on October 12th, was arraigned on
- 4:57Speaker 2: two counts of assault. Blair had been set to go
- 5:00Speaker 2: to the 90s con at the Connecticut Convention Center this weekend.
- 5:04Speaker 3: They originally had her on.
- 5:05Speaker 2: A post a few weeks ago that she was going
- 5:06Speaker 2: to be a part of a Q & A panel.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Then she was not listed for that panel on the
- 5:11Speaker 2: next Instagram post this week. Somebody commented on it and
- 5:14Speaker 2: they said she'll still be there. But she wants to
- 5:16Speaker 2: spend more time at the table to meet fans this
- 5:18Speaker 2: weekend instead.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Of being a part of that panel. So she'll still
- 5:21Speaker 3: be there. And an X-Files reboot.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Has finally been greenlit at Hulu. This was the show
- 5:29Speaker 2: that followed two FBI agents investigating unexplained phenomena in the 1990s.
- 5:35Speaker 2: The show's going to star Danielle Deadweiler and Hemish Patel.
- 5:39Speaker 2: They're going to be playing new characters instead of playing
- 5:41Speaker 2: versions of Scully and Fox, so they'll have completely new characters.
- 5:45Speaker 3: No word on when it's.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Going to air, but we will obviously keep you updated,
- 5:49Speaker 2: especially if you.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Grew up in the 90s and loved watching this show.
- 5:52Speaker 3: It's going to be really good. I cannot wait.
- 5:54Speaker 2: That's three things you need to know more at thealabamashow.com.
- 5:59Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Good morning, Hannah. What's your issue for Ask Alabama?
- 6:05Speaker 5: My boyfriend is posting thirst traps on the internet. Oh, no.
- 6:09Speaker 2: That's why we do ask Alabama if you ever have
- 6:11Speaker 2: an issue, call the show 833-501-BAMA is the number.
- 6:15Speaker 3: What's going on?
- 6:16Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I've been with my boyfriend for like
- 6:18Speaker 5: nine months and everything's been going great. But I just
- 6:23Speaker 5: found out that he has like a secret Twitter account
- 6:25Speaker 5: where he posts thirst traps and then he like. comments
- 6:29Speaker 5: on other people's dirty accounts.
- 6:32Speaker 2: What kind of thirst traps like what's he is he
- 6:35Speaker 2: posting like shirtless selfies.
- 6:38Speaker 5: Or yeah It's like, it's shirtless. It's like, you can
- 6:43Speaker 5: tell like he's just worked out. So he's like flexing
- 6:45Speaker 5: and stuff.
- 6:46Speaker 3: And he's never told you about this?
- 6:48Speaker 6: No.
- 6:49Speaker 5: So like entire relationship, like absolutely never told me. Absolutely
- 6:54Speaker 5: never told me.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Did you say anything to him about it? Oh yeah.
- 6:58Speaker 5: I confronted him about it and he completely owned up
- 7:02Speaker 5: to it and like apologized.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Okay.
- 7:04Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know.
- 7:04Speaker 5: I still don't really like trust him.
- 7:07Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 7:07Speaker 5: He said he'd delete the account, but I still feel
- 7:09Speaker 5: like super weird about it. I guess I'm just trying
- 7:11Speaker 5: to figure out, like, is this a deal breaker or
- 7:13Speaker 5: should I forgive him?
- 7:15Speaker 3: Producer Blake, forgive him. What are we doing?
- 7:18Speaker 2: OK, but if you if you had been dating a
- 7:21Speaker 2: girl for nine months and then found out she had
- 7:23Speaker 2: a secret Twitter account where she's posting thirst traps and
- 7:27Speaker 2: commenting on other people's stuff.
- 7:29Speaker 4: If I had a problem with it and she said, yeah,
- 7:30Speaker 4: I'll delete it and then proves to you that she.
- 7:33Speaker 3: What does it matter? What does it matter?
- 7:35Speaker 2: Because they kept a secret from you for nine months.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Call the show. Let's see if we can get some
- 7:40Speaker 3: advice for you. 833-501-BAMA is the number.
- 7:44Speaker 2: If you were dating somebody and you found out they
- 7:46Speaker 2: had a secret profile, whether it's on Twitter or even
- 7:50Speaker 2: if it were OnlyFans or whatever, and they're posting thirst
- 7:53Speaker 2: traps of themselves... Would you break up with that person
- 7:56Speaker 2: or would you keep seeing them?
- 7:58Speaker 5: 833-501-2262.
- 8:01Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know with The Alabama Show.
- 8:04Speaker 2: There was a massive fire last night at a Birmingham
- 8:07Speaker 2: apartment complex. It was at the 2700 Homewood Apartments on
- 8:11Speaker 2: Temple Crest Drive in the Glen Iris neighborhood. There were
- 8:15Speaker 2: videos of the smoke and pictures of the smoke all
- 8:18Speaker 2: over social media.
- 8:19Speaker 3: It was like a whole strip of the apartments.
- 8:22Speaker 2: No injuries were reported, but man, the fire crew was
- 8:26Speaker 2: out there all night last night.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Working to get that fire put out.
- 8:29Speaker 2: So to our firefighters, if you are listening to the show,
- 8:32Speaker 2: thank you so much for what you do.
- 8:33Speaker 3: And we're glad everyone is safe. If you want to
- 8:36Speaker 3: eat chocolate, now there's a better excuse. It could help
- 8:39Speaker 3: your workouts.
- 8:40Speaker 2: A new study is making the rounds that's gone viral
- 8:42Speaker 2: saying even just smelling chocolate while exercising adds more reps.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Dark chocolate works better than milk chocolate.
- 8:49Speaker 2: So for all my 90% cocoa girlies, go sniff some
- 8:53Speaker 2: and then work out.
- 8:55Speaker 3: Apple has more products for your home. Okay, like what?
- 8:58Speaker 2: They just revealed yesterday HomeView. It's a home hub device
- 9:03Speaker 2: that you can put on a wall or table and
- 9:04Speaker 2: has a seven inch display and it has Siri. It's
- 9:08Speaker 2: kind of.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Like a little bit like the Alexa devices.
- 9:14Speaker 5: Okay.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Is it smart? Yeah, it's got Siri. It's like a
- 9:18Speaker 3: whole dashboard.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Also, they announced their Apple TV 4K, which comes with
- 9:23Speaker 2: a redesigned remote that plays a sound if.
- 9:25Speaker 3: It gets lost. Okay, I like that, yeah.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Both cost $ 299 and will be available starting November 13th.
- 9:32Speaker 2: So if you are an Apple user and you want
- 9:34Speaker 2: to get more things for your house, November 13th is
- 9:37Speaker 2: the date. That's three things you need to know. More
- 9:40Speaker 2: at thealabamashow.com.
- 9:42Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Noelle, good morning. What's your good news? I had gastric
- 9:49Speaker 3: bypass surgery at the end of April. Okay.
- 9:51Speaker 2: And so far, I've lost 61 pounds since having surgery
- 9:54Speaker 2: and a total of 105 since January. Yes! Oh, that's
- 10:00Speaker 2: so amazing! Please tell me, have you, like, loved going
- 10:03Speaker 2: clothes shopping now that you've lost the weight? I really
- 10:07Speaker 2: haven't done any clothes shopping yet, but I'm about to
- 10:09Speaker 2: because my brother's getting married in November and I've got
- 10:12Speaker 2: to go find a dress.
- 10:13Speaker 3: That is amazing. Do you feel better? I feel a
- 10:17Speaker 3: thousand times better.
- 10:19Speaker 2: That is so amazing because I know like a lot
- 10:22Speaker 2: of times when people go through that surgery, yes, weight
- 10:26Speaker 2: loss is a good thing, but it's usually for health
- 10:28Speaker 2: reasons too. So that's awesome if you feel better.
- 10:31Speaker 5: Yes.
- 10:32Speaker 2: What's the total weight again? 105 pounds since January and
- 10:36Speaker 2: 61 since surgery. Woo! Good job, girl.
- 10:41Speaker 3: I just wanted to give you the air horn again.
- 10:43Speaker 3: That's great. Thank you for sharing. You're welcome.
- 10:46Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show. The following program is
- 10:50Speaker 1: on demand.
- 10:51Speaker 2: We do have an air quality alert today for Jefferson
- 10:55Speaker 2: County and Shelby County.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I saw that driving in today.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Yeah, so it's code orange, which means sensitive groups like
- 11:02Speaker 2: kids and older people with respiratory conditions. It's because of
- 11:07Speaker 2: the ground ozone levels. The ground level ozone are supposed
- 11:10Speaker 2: to be unhealthy today. So the general public, if you're fine,
- 11:14Speaker 2: if you don't have respiratory issues, you should be good.
- 11:17Speaker 2: But just, you know, I'd limit your time outside if
- 11:20Speaker 2: you are a part of the sensitive group.
- 11:23Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 11:25Speaker 3: That was a great morning, man. Great morning. And then
- 11:29Speaker 3: it's like, Dino, get over here.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Today, we're talking about apparently how I ruined Dino's day today.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Our boss.
- 11:37Speaker 4: I thought I ruined your day, but you sent me
- 11:39Speaker 4: this like strongly worded, like somebody emails the CEO.
- 11:43Speaker 3: It was a matter of fact. But it wasn't even,
- 11:46Speaker 3: I didn't do what you're saying that I did. So
- 11:49Speaker 3: I was a little grumpy today.
- 11:50Speaker 2: And our morning guy next door is like the dad
- 11:54Speaker 2: of everybody.
- 11:54Speaker 3: And I specifically.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Don't talk to him about my dogs because he'll lecture us.
- 11:59Speaker 3: He hates dogs. He'll be like, your dogs are aggressive.
- 12:02Speaker 3: You need to get rid of them.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Yes.
- 12:04Speaker 3: So my dogs got into a fight the other day.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I know you're telling everybody.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Well, because now the one person I kept it a
- 12:10Speaker 2: secret from has been informed.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I didn't tell him, but here's the thing.
- 12:15Speaker 3: I didn't tell him anything.
- 12:17Speaker 5: I just.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Let me tell the story. So JT comes into the
- 12:21Speaker 2: studio this morning and he goes, how are your dogs?
- 12:24Speaker 3: And I looked at him and I went, how do
- 12:26Speaker 3: you know about my dogs? Because at this point I
- 12:27Speaker 3: hadn't posted about it, talked about it. I'd only told
- 12:31Speaker 3: producer Blake and you, Dina. Because you were going to leave.
- 12:35Speaker 6: Okay. So.
- 12:37Speaker 7: Producer Blake said he didn't tell JT about the dog,
- 12:40Speaker 7: so then Dino was the only person left.
- 12:43Speaker 5: So I thought about it for a little while.
- 12:46Speaker 3: And I mean, look, I think, I think, I don't know.
- 12:48Speaker 3: I don't know if I'm PMSing or what.
- 12:50Speaker 2: And I, so finally, after about 20 minutes, I sent
- 12:52Speaker 2: Dino an email that said personal stuff.
- 12:55Speaker 3: Hey, I'll read it to you. I've got it pulled up.
- 12:58Speaker 7: It says, hey, I specifically didn't talk to JT about
- 13:01Speaker 7: my dogs yesterday because I didn't want to hear about
- 13:03Speaker 7: the dogs being aggressive. I've only talked about it with
- 13:06Speaker 7: you and producer Blake. And Blake said he didn't talk
- 13:08Speaker 7: to JT about it.
- 13:09Speaker 3: Wow, you threw him under the bus. And you were
- 13:12Speaker 3: here when I told JT. You just said, where's Alabama?
- 13:14Speaker 3: I said, she had to go get her dogs. I
- 13:15Speaker 3: did not share personal information with you. So then what
- 13:19Speaker 3: happened this morning when you saw the email?
- 13:21Speaker 4: Oh, I was reading my Bible, watched the sunrise, and
- 13:23Speaker 4: then I see this email.
- 13:24Speaker 3: I was like, what is happening? I didn't do anything.
- 13:27Speaker 4: And now I'm getting, I'm literally overheating right now.
- 13:31Speaker 3: You were having a good morning. I was having a
- 13:33Speaker 3: great morning.
- 13:34Speaker 4: You thought I wrecked your day, and then you wrecked
- 13:37Speaker 4: my day, and now you're telling everybody the thing you
- 13:39Speaker 4: didn't want out.
- 13:40Speaker 6: I'm sorry.
- 13:40Speaker 3: You guys are wrecking my day right now.
- 13:43Speaker 2: It was my mood this morning.
- 13:46Speaker 3: There were a lot of things. It wasn't you. It
- 13:48Speaker 3: was just, you got, you got. I want to see
- 13:52Speaker 3: a manager immediately. Okay. I'm going to give y'all a
- 13:56Speaker 3: personal note.
- 13:57Speaker 5: Stop.
- 13:59Speaker 3: Don't do that anymore. Call the show.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Have you ever sent your boss an email that you
- 14:02Speaker 2: probably shouldn't have sent?
- 14:05Speaker 3: 833-501-BAMA is the number.
- 14:06Speaker 1: You're listening to the Alabama show on demand.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Are you ready? Yes, I'm ready.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Do you know what you're ready for? Do you even
- 14:13Speaker 3: know what this is? It's the last of the day.
- 14:16Speaker 3: It's the end of the day.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Yeah, we're done.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Anything you missed, download the.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Free iHeartRadio app, look up The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 14:21Speaker 2: More chances to win $ 1, 000 are on the way, and
- 14:24Speaker 2: we'll see you tomorrow morning.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Thanks for listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
