- 1:41Speaker 1: I want to start out this morning by giving a
- 1:44Speaker 1: shout out to Gothier's Quality, Crowns and Maintenance Booking right
- 1:49Speaker 1: now for summer landscape jobs. Man, have they done an
- 1:53Speaker 1: outstanding job at my house? Uh? Not just this first
- 1:58Speaker 1: mowing that I've had, but over the last what seven
- 2:02Speaker 1: years now? Impeccable work, affordable rates, honest and reliable. I
- 2:08Speaker 1: can't say enough about him. Gothier's Quality, Grounds and Maintan's
- 2:13Speaker 1: presenting sponsor of the aired Out podcast since the beginning.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Very very good morning to you.
- 2:20Speaker 2: JD.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Green here in the aired Out podcast. Yes, Gee is
- 2:25Speaker 1: not with me today, but we'll get through it. Well,
- 2:30Speaker 1: we're all gonna be all right. We're looking at rain
- 2:33Speaker 1: today mid fifties. I know this is not the greatest
- 2:37Speaker 1: forecast here, but you know, I gotta tell you how
- 2:40Speaker 1: it is the same story. Looks like rain fifty five.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Kind of the same story. Tomorrow got the floodwatch tonight
- 2:52Speaker 1: with rain and forty seven degrees and yeah, Saturday, same deal.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Mother's days son comes out sixty two. But Rex is
- 3:03Speaker 1: with us this morning. Rex, good morning. Well I thought
- 3:06Speaker 1: he was with us Barslow Construction. You know, I saw
- 3:10Speaker 1: some stuff on Facebook yesterday where this guy was complaining
- 3:18Speaker 1: about water coming into his kitchen while he was trying
- 3:26Speaker 1: to cook, and I'm like, man, it's time to call
- 3:31Speaker 1: Barslow Construction. And I tried to reach out to him.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I'm not sure if he got my message or not,
- 3:37Speaker 1: but listen, if it's going to be coming through a
- 3:40Speaker 1: ceiling anywhere, hopefully it's not your bedroom, but anyway, rex
- 3:45Speaker 1: you with us, buddy? Oh he's not. Anyway. My advice
- 3:50Speaker 1: is to give Barslow Construction a jingle and let them
- 3:54Speaker 1: know that you would like them to come out, give
- 3:57Speaker 1: you a free estimate. At the very least they'll be
- 4:02Speaker 1: able to patch something up for you and prevent the
- 4:08Speaker 1: deluge of water that's going to be coming in over
- 4:11Speaker 1: these next couple of days. It is, it's frustrating. It
- 4:16Speaker 1: is frustrating. And with this floodwatch in effect for tonight,
- 4:22Speaker 1: any rivers or streams gonna be full. So keep that
- 4:30Speaker 1: in mind too. If you got one in your backyard
- 4:32Speaker 1: like I do. May eighth, Can you believe it's May
- 4:37Speaker 1: eighth already? God time's flying. Congratulations this morning to Zach
- 4:44Speaker 1: and Kelsey Audette on the birth of their little baby
- 4:48Speaker 1: girl last night. Kingsley, Rose Audette, Welcome to the world.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Melanie Smeedy on the list today. Zara Vincent a great lady.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I haven't seen her in a long time. Brian Palmer,
- 5:03Speaker 1: Brian Sanderson, Janine Braydeen, Susan Gallagher, Linda Morris, Brian Bailey
- 5:11Speaker 1: and Tim Bevan all celebrating birthdays today. Good morning, Shirley
- 5:16Speaker 1: and Stacy Becky. Top of the morning to you again.
- 5:19Speaker 1: If you're just joining us rain in fifty five today.
- 5:22Speaker 1: I am. This is so sad that I'm excited, actually
- 5:28Speaker 1: excited that I bought a raincoat yesterday. This is the
- 5:32Speaker 1: first raincoat I had, like a real waterproof raincoat that
- 5:35Speaker 1: I've had in a long time, and I'm so excited.
- 5:39Speaker 1: What's that Rex, Good morning buddy.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Are you talking about Trojan No?
- 5:43Speaker 1: I was talking about my new raincoat last night.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Oh ye, Trojan.
- 5:49Speaker 1: No, it's not the the Trojan brand. Good morning, buddy.
- 5:54Speaker 1: What hey man, It's like I was just saying on
- 5:58Speaker 1: the air, I saw this guy on face book last night.
- 6:00Speaker 1: It was saying that he's got water coming into his house,
- 6:04Speaker 1: not sure what to do, and you know, of course
- 6:06Speaker 1: it was late last night. What can you guys, do
- 6:12Speaker 1: with barslow construction. I just said, at the very least
- 6:16Speaker 1: you might be able to get over there and do
- 6:17Speaker 1: some kind of temporary pack.
- 6:20Speaker 4: Yeah, we've actually we've had to do that recently just
- 6:24Speaker 4: because well, there's gonna be there's a shortage on roofers
- 6:30Speaker 4: again because obviously last year.
- 6:34Speaker 3: As we saw, there.
- 6:35Speaker 4: Was a lots of different crews with the Mexican crews.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Well those crews are no longer like they are, but they're.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Not huge crews that used to.
- 6:46Speaker 4: See there's one two of them stuff like that, right,
- 6:49Speaker 4: So that's going to create a shortage because we were
- 6:52Speaker 4: actually we were doing limited roofing because we had so
- 6:55Speaker 4: much building that we had going on last year. We
- 6:58Speaker 4: just you know, we we would take care of our
- 7:00Speaker 4: own customers, but we weren't taking on a lot of
- 7:03Speaker 4: new roofs stuff like that, because roofing is really hard
- 7:06Speaker 4: on your body. It's dangerous work. It's one of the
- 7:09Speaker 4: most dangerous. It actually ranks higher than being a cop
- 7:13Speaker 4: on how dangerous it is. So you know, and so
- 7:19Speaker 4: but the ee you can absolutely we have been going
- 7:22Speaker 4: and patching roofs until we can get to them. The
- 7:26Speaker 4: other thing that we've been doing is we take a
- 7:28Speaker 4: deposit right now and we purchase all the materials that
- 7:31Speaker 4: have them delivered because there's so much uncertainty in the market.
- 7:36Speaker 4: We're starting to see, you know, shipments from California and
- 7:40Speaker 4: coming into the shipyards and stuff, and the ships are
- 7:44Speaker 4: half empty. So we know coming up there's going to
- 7:47Speaker 4: be a huge supply shortage and every lumber distributor is
- 7:53Speaker 4: going to that's going to be an excuse to raise
- 7:55Speaker 4: the prices and it will take forever for them to
- 7:57Speaker 4: get down. So that's what we've been doing, is actually
- 8:01Speaker 4: just getting materials onto the job site. Whether we're we're
- 8:04Speaker 4: ready to start right off the bat, but either way,
- 8:07Speaker 4: the materials are bought, paid for and sitting on the
- 8:09Speaker 4: job site, so as soon as weekend we can get
- 8:11Speaker 4: right there and there's not a price fluctuation because my
- 8:14Speaker 4: labor doesn't change because the stock market does.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Yeah, are you are you? Are you starting to see
- 8:21Speaker 1: and maybe you've already alluded to this, Are you starting
- 8:23Speaker 1: to see some of the tariff effects on lumber coming
- 8:26Speaker 1: out of Canada.
- 8:28Speaker 4: It's not so much the terraffs. It is more of
- 8:33Speaker 4: consumer confidence. Nobody wants to spend money and nobody wants
- 8:37Speaker 4: to buy anything. We're seeing everybody seeing a huge downturn,
- 8:42Speaker 4: a slow down.
- 8:44Speaker 3: You know, you have your coming.
- 8:45Speaker 4: I mean, I'm always gonna be okay because I know
- 8:49Speaker 4: a trade. Whether I have to bust. We had thirteen
- 8:53Speaker 4: guys at one point. We've downsized ourselves, but having knowing
- 9:00Speaker 4: a trade, I'm never.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Gonna be homeless.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Ye, I'm never going to.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Be, you know, because I can.
- 9:06Speaker 4: If it went down to it, me and my son
- 9:09Speaker 4: would put our tool pouches on and we would go
- 9:12Speaker 4: back to like we used to before. Sure, you know,
- 9:16Speaker 4: we did it without people before, and we've done it
- 9:18Speaker 4: with people. So yeah, you know, it's a I've been
- 9:22Speaker 4: through this before. I've seen these downturns and we've we've
- 9:27Speaker 4: always we've.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Made it through it. Is it tough? Yeah, it can be.
- 9:31Speaker 3: It's just you gotta I don't know me.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Yeah, it is what it is.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Uh. What's the best way for folks to get in
- 9:38Speaker 1: touch with Barslow Construction, whether they've got any projects that
- 9:43Speaker 1: they would like to get done this this summer? Absolutely
- 9:46Speaker 1: or loofing or a leaking roof.
- 9:49Speaker 4: Yeah, we we patch roofs. What we will do temporary
- 9:55Speaker 4: patches on a roof. We will not do a permanent patch.
- 9:58Speaker 4: There's no such thing. If you've got one part of
- 10:01Speaker 4: your roof that's leaking, then just because it's coming. So
- 10:05Speaker 4: the worst part about a leak and everybody freaks out
- 10:09Speaker 4: because it's leaking, you'll see insulation come down, but those
- 10:12Speaker 4: are all minor. It's it's I mean, like we did it,
- 10:15Speaker 4: just did at your house with sheet rock. I mean
- 10:18Speaker 4: you you freaked out because you assume the ceiling is
- 10:22Speaker 4: a major project.
- 10:23Speaker 3: It's not. It's just it's just sheet rock, tape, mud paint.
- 10:26Speaker 4: It's an insulation. So I understand that it can be overwhelming,
- 10:33Speaker 4: but it's it's not that big of a deal to
- 10:39Speaker 4: lose a little bit of sheet rock, to lose a
- 10:40Speaker 4: little bit of insulation. You obviously want to get it
- 10:45Speaker 4: checked if you're loo, if you are leaking in one spot.
- 10:50Speaker 4: So a big misconception is during the winter, winter and spring,
- 10:55Speaker 4: what happens is they're like, my roof is leaking, all right?
- 10:59Speaker 4: Is your roof actually leaking or is it because of
- 11:02Speaker 4: an ice build up? Does your roof leak when it's
- 11:05Speaker 4: raining or only during the winter. If it only leaks
- 11:07Speaker 4: during the winter, you have an insulation. You have an
- 11:10Speaker 4: ice problem, that's.
- 11:11Speaker 2: What you have.
- 11:12Speaker 4: If it's leaking during the summer and it's not like
- 11:16Speaker 4: a piece of flashing blue off or something like that,
- 11:19Speaker 4: then you most likely need your entire roof.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Changed.
- 11:24Speaker 4: The days of people getting up on your roof throw
- 11:27Speaker 4: and just patching that one spot are over with.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Because there's so much liability.
- 11:33Speaker 4: What happens when you go up there, you say, hey,
- 11:36Speaker 4: I have a leak over here. It's leaking on my head. Obviously,
- 11:40Speaker 4: the people don't have the money to have it done,
- 11:42Speaker 4: so you go up. You do them a favor. You're like,
- 11:44Speaker 4: I'm gonna patch this part of it. Next thing you know,
- 11:48Speaker 4: they call you up. They're like, hey, you went up
- 11:51Speaker 4: and patched it. Now it's leaking over here. Well I
- 11:54Speaker 4: didn't touch that. Well it wasn't leaking before you got
- 11:56Speaker 4: up on the roof. Well, ma'am your roof, it's it's happening.
- 12:01Speaker 4: And then it turns into now they're on Facebook. I
- 12:04Speaker 4: had this guy come up and patch my roof, and
- 12:07Speaker 4: now is leaking everywhere.
- 12:09Speaker 3: So the liability the social media.
- 12:12Speaker 4: Nobody will patch a roof as a permanent repair, you
- 12:17Speaker 4: know what I mean. It's just too much liability, too
- 12:20Speaker 4: much shit talking. It's not worth the headaches at that point.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Interesting, I've got your your number right up here on
- 12:29Speaker 1: you know, on the comments seventy six if you have. Yeah, thanks, buddy,
- 12:37Speaker 1: I appreciate it. Are we going to see it tomorrow?
- 12:39Speaker 3: Oh?
- 12:40Speaker 4: Tomorrow's Friday already. What are we gonna talk about tomorrow?
- 12:44Speaker 4: What do we got on the agenda tomorrow?
- 12:46Speaker 1: Way too much?
- 12:48Speaker 3: Wait?
- 12:49Speaker 4: You know I tried to get that Johnny Wansor, but
- 12:51Speaker 4: he's no longer doing live performance.
- 12:52Speaker 3: He said, he's just sticking to videos.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Oh really, yeah he did.
- 12:58Speaker 3: I was talking to him.
- 12:59Speaker 1: But funny, dude, Well listen, I I mean, I have
- 13:03Speaker 1: a lot of questions for you tomorrow about a lot
- 13:05Speaker 1: of different subjects, and we're gonna take a deep dive.
- 13:08Speaker 1: I look forward to a buddy, get to your get
- 13:10Speaker 1: to your job site.
- 13:10Speaker 4: We need to talk about the whole Saint Monica's thing.
- 13:14Speaker 3: And yeah, well we're going.
- 13:16Speaker 4: To bashing the people in the community and all that stuff.
- 13:19Speaker 1: We're gonna we're gonna take a deep dive on it
- 13:21Speaker 1: tomorrow for sure.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Perfect.
- 13:23Speaker 4: Hey, are we gonna bury John Anderson with the uh?
- 13:25Speaker 1: I would like to I was thinking about that, uh
- 13:28Speaker 1: this morning, just kind of putting that to bed officially,
- 13:31Speaker 1: would be would be nice?
- 13:32Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, absolutely, all right, thanks buddy, all right, Oh,
- 13:37Speaker 4: we may have.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Big news for tomorrow also.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Uh okay, will you text me later and give me
- 13:44Speaker 1: heads up on that?
- 13:45Speaker 3: I sure will.
- 13:46Speaker 1: All right, thank you, over and out, take care there.
- 13:49Speaker 1: He goes rex Tops and run it off to another
- 13:53Speaker 1: job site, Barcelow Construction. Hey, shout out to some new
- 13:57Speaker 1: listeners and some followers in hereral Uh Worcester and Saint
- 14:02Speaker 1: John Sperry, appreciate your your ears mostly and and and
- 14:09Speaker 1: your eyes. Thank you so much for discovering and following
- 14:16Speaker 1: aired out and a couple of new YouTubers too, which
- 14:18Speaker 1: is pretty cool. Route to east this morning and Saint
- 14:22Speaker 1: John's Berry there's a car accident. Expect some pretty good delays.
- 14:27Speaker 1: I'm told is traffic is is still backing up in
- 14:32Speaker 1: that area. I would definitely seek an alternate route if
- 14:36Speaker 1: you can. I know that's the main artery going into
- 14:38Speaker 1: Saint Jay. But again, route to east in Saint John's Berry. Also,
- 14:45Speaker 1: I'm hearing that Exit eleven on the Interstate over near
- 14:49Speaker 1: Richmond is pretty backed up this morning. I think that's
- 14:52Speaker 1: that's kind of a given. That's especially though I don't know,
- 14:56Speaker 1: there could be some construction, and there's construction everywhere right now.
- 15:01Speaker 1: And also Route two A between five Corners and Industrial
- 15:06Speaker 1: Ave is really backed up this morning Root three oh
- 15:10Speaker 1: two UH, in and out of Berry, coming up the
- 15:16Speaker 1: well the east side of Berry up over the Orange Heights,
- 15:20Speaker 1: you're gonna you're gonna be in delays no matter what
- 15:26Speaker 1: time of day it is, from early morning right up
- 15:28Speaker 1: until I think it was like what last night, five o'clock.
- 15:33Speaker 1: They're finishing up the day putting some fresh paint down
- 15:37Speaker 1: for the UH for the lines. So even after the
- 15:42Speaker 1: the main construction work is done, you're gonna see those
- 15:45Speaker 1: paint trucks moving through the area real slow. So if
- 15:50Speaker 1: you're if you're coming in and out of Berry on
- 15:53Speaker 1: three oh two up or down the Orange Heights, you're
- 15:57Speaker 1: going to need to exercise some patience here or for
- 16:02Speaker 1: a while, I'm not sure, And I've been asked how
- 16:06Speaker 1: much how long that that job is going to take.
- 16:11Speaker 1: I think it's going all the way up up to
- 16:15Speaker 1: and maybe beyond the Route twenty five intersection. I'm guessing
- 16:23Speaker 1: that it's going to take a while. This is a
- 16:28Speaker 1: job that I think Vitrance was was hoping to get
- 16:32Speaker 1: on on the earlier side of spring. And I don't
- 16:38Speaker 1: know how much longer it's going to take. I just
- 16:40Speaker 1: know that we need to be patient. It's it's dusty,
- 16:45Speaker 1: it's dirty, it's noisy. I get it, I get it.
- 16:50Speaker 1: There's there's a lot of stuff going on. I'm going
- 16:53Speaker 1: to be running over to Optical Expressions at some point,
- 16:58Speaker 1: maybe later today or tomorrow, and picking up my new
- 17:01Speaker 1: summer shades, which I'm so excited about. I was with
- 17:04Speaker 1: a friend yesterday who was very curious and discussing Lasik
- 17:13Speaker 1: with me, which I know nothing about. I advised that
- 17:19Speaker 1: they contact Optical Expressions. The pros right here, Mark Leepert,
- 17:27Speaker 1: Garuna Heartnett. They are the ones that will be able
- 17:32Speaker 1: to answer the questions. If you got any questions about
- 17:34Speaker 1: Lasik eye surgery. And I'll tell you, man, it's like this.
- 17:38Speaker 1: This individual had had to go in and get all this,
- 17:42Speaker 1: all these procedures done, and I don't know, Man, for
- 17:49Speaker 1: you to give me an injection into my eye, you're
- 17:52Speaker 1: going to have to do something to me, not just
- 17:56Speaker 1: numbing stuff either. You're gonna have to put me down
- 17:58Speaker 1: for like two weeks. I just can't even imagine it.
- 18:03Speaker 1: The good thing about Optical Expressions, the top notch optometrists
- 18:08Speaker 1: over there are going to calm you down first and foremost,
- 18:12Speaker 1: and they're going to explain things that you'll be able
- 18:15Speaker 1: to understand. That's what they do, and that's what they
- 18:20Speaker 1: do best. Open Monday through Friday, eight to six in
- 18:24Speaker 1: their new location, the fourth floor of the Blanchard Block
- 18:28Speaker 1: right here and Bury two two three twenty ninety. If
- 18:31Speaker 1: you want to set up an eye exam, or if
- 18:33Speaker 1: you have some questions, you want to get in there
- 18:35Speaker 1: and chat with the pros. It's a very busy place
- 18:40Speaker 1: Optical Expressions. Check them out, be in touch with them again.
- 18:44Speaker 1: The floodwatch has been issued for tonight for certain areas,
- 18:51Speaker 1: for certain towns, not the whole state at this point,
- 18:54Speaker 1: but we're still watching, We're still paying attention, and I'm
- 18:58Speaker 1: just glad that this is going to be coming out
- 19:01Speaker 1: on Sunday for Mother's Day. I really am what to
- 19:06Speaker 1: get Mom for Mother's Day? Man? Is that the million
- 19:12Speaker 1: dollar question right now? And I had a nice conversation
- 19:16Speaker 1: with Lily about that this morning, and of course some
- 19:23Speaker 1: of her ideas are things like, I'm not sure that
- 19:27Speaker 1: we can get mom a pat elephant, not sure if
- 19:31Speaker 1: that's going to work. However, Lily told me this morning
- 19:37Speaker 1: that what she really wants to get Mom are some
- 19:43Speaker 1: baby duck ducklings, and and I said, I don't think
- 19:49Speaker 1: Mom wants the baby ducks as much as you do.
- 19:56Speaker 1: And then you know, she proceeded to pruss me into
- 20:03Speaker 1: believing her rhetoric that building a coop is going to
- 20:08Speaker 1: be a separate coop for the ducks, is going to
- 20:10Speaker 1: be something that's easy. We've got plenty of lumber, it's
- 20:13Speaker 1: not going to take a very long time. These are
- 20:16Speaker 1: all things that are way out of my scope, not happening,
- 20:20Speaker 1: not happening. So hard to say no to a ten
- 20:28Speaker 1: year old little girl. I don't know. I may lose
- 20:31Speaker 1: this one. If she convinces Mom that Mom needs baby
- 20:36Speaker 1: ducklings for Mother's Day, there could be some ducks in
- 20:43Speaker 1: my kitchen anyway. One of the things that I'm working
- 20:50Speaker 1: on is the raised garden beds right now, and I've
- 20:54Speaker 1: been in touch with the Fontaine Sawmill, and I am
- 20:59Speaker 1: so excit. Have you seen some of the raised beds
- 21:04Speaker 1: that they're making over there. It is amazing. Stopped off
- 21:08Speaker 1: at the mill last week, chatted with Mark, had a
- 21:12Speaker 1: glance at some of the hemlock they use for this,
- 21:15Speaker 1: all locally harvested wood. It is beautiful, beautiful stuff. So
- 21:22Speaker 1: maybe it'll be the raised beds and I'll be struggling
- 21:27Speaker 1: to assemble those and put those together, and you know,
- 21:31Speaker 1: the whole nine, filling them in with dirt and everything.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Here's an idea though, for Mother's Day. If you don't
- 21:44Speaker 1: want to get the baby ducklings, you don't want to
- 21:46Speaker 1: do the raised beds, you want to do something kind
- 21:49Speaker 1: of quick and simple. Mark Tatrow with the Lions Club
- 21:54Speaker 1: is going to be hosting a barbecue over at Aubischon
- 21:58Speaker 1: on Mother's Day. The weather's going to be perfect, sunny,
- 22:02Speaker 1: in what mid sixties. Get over there, bring mom, surprise her,
- 22:08Speaker 1: support the Lions Club, and get some great food also
- 22:12Speaker 1: on Mother's Day. And you could do this before the
- 22:16Speaker 1: barbecue over at Alba Schon. Get over to Central Vermont
- 22:20Speaker 1: Cars and coffee they are Jimsville is going to be
- 22:26Speaker 1: over there doing some cooking, so you'll have some food
- 22:29Speaker 1: there as well. But it's right right there in Berlin,
- 22:36Speaker 1: right at the entrance to Price Chopper. You can't miss
- 22:42Speaker 1: it right there in the parking lot of that little
- 22:46Speaker 1: plaza right there. So swing in. It starts at nine
- 22:49Speaker 1: in the morning, goes till noon. Antique cars, trucks, motorcycles, campers,
- 22:56Speaker 1: anything with wheels that's an antique. Well I shouldn't say
- 23:00Speaker 1: that because it's not just antiques. They get some absolutely
- 23:06Speaker 1: gorgeous cars there. If it is a ride, if it's beautiful,
- 23:13Speaker 1: bring it doesn't matter if it's on a trailer. But
- 23:18Speaker 1: if you can get it there, get it there for Sunday.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Dan Roya, kudos to him and his team. It's gonna
- 23:26Speaker 1: be awesome. Nine until noon on Mother's Day. Facebook Question
- 23:34Speaker 1: of the Day this morning, and I wish I wish
- 23:41Speaker 1: Gee was here for this one. Just getting some text
- 23:46Speaker 1: messages here. I know, three days to Mother's Day, fifteen
- 23:49Speaker 1: days two Memorial Day weekend. Here's your Facebook question of
- 23:56Speaker 1: the day. What town here in Vermont would you like
- 24:04Speaker 1: to see the Olympics come to Not the Special Olympics,
- 24:14Speaker 1: but just the Olympics as in the Olympics Olympics. There's
- 24:21Speaker 1: a bill that is being proposed right now in the
- 24:27Speaker 1: Vermont legislature to create the Vermont Olympics Task Force to
- 24:36Speaker 1: produce and present a proposal for the state of Vermont
- 24:43Speaker 1: to host the Olympic Games. My first reaction to this
- 25:04Speaker 1: is I was like, wait, is it April? First? Is
- 25:06Speaker 1: it April? Is this an April fool's joke? My second
- 25:09Speaker 1: reaction was, do we not have please share your share,
- 25:22Speaker 1: your your your comments. I want to hear whatever it
- 25:25Speaker 1: is you have to say. Do we not have more
- 25:34Speaker 1: important things going on here in this little green Mountain
- 25:37Speaker 1: state to talk about than whether or not we should
- 25:44Speaker 1: be hosting the Olympics? Are there more important things under
- 25:53Speaker 1: the Golden Dope and in matiler that we should be
- 25:58Speaker 1: talking about here? It is right here, so I looked
- 26:04Speaker 1: it up. Bill H three sixty seven please google this
- 26:13Speaker 1: as well. Well, that's it, Taylor. I mean, I'm asking
- 26:16Speaker 1: you know, where would it be? What town would you
- 26:21Speaker 1: like to see the Olympics in? No room in Burlington?
- 26:34Speaker 1: Too much congestion as it is already, I know, housing,
- 26:45Speaker 1: lowering taxes, I mean, schools, healthcare. We have much bigger
- 26:54Speaker 1: fish to fry in Vermont than to be thinking about
- 27:01Speaker 1: whether or not Vermont should be hosting the Olympic Games.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Chris S. Hays loved the idea, but our elected officials
- 27:11Speaker 1: took twenty years to get military retirement money untaxed. They
- 27:15Speaker 1: don't deserve to hang their hats on the Olympics until
- 27:20Speaker 1: they start taking care of what's already here, Crystal says,
- 27:26Speaker 1: the war on drugs. Man, we're just like scratching the
- 27:30Speaker 1: surface here. Of I could think of twenty things off
- 27:35Speaker 1: the top of my head right now that Vermont legislators
- 27:41Speaker 1: should be thinking about, worried about, really worried about, and
- 27:50Speaker 1: investing their time in other than drafting a proposal bill
- 27:55Speaker 1: which is in review right now, for Vermont to host
- 28:02Speaker 1: the Olympics. Walton, Mary beautiful town. Not sure there's enough
- 28:18Speaker 1: room for the Olympics though this bill. Here's the summary
- 28:22Speaker 1: of it right here. The bill proposes to create the
- 28:25Speaker 1: Vermont Olympics Task Force, which will produce and present a
- 28:29Speaker 1: proposal of Vermont hosting the Olympic Games. The bill establishes
- 28:33Speaker 1: the Vermont Olympics Task Force, a diverse group of eight
- 28:37Speaker 1: members including state legislators, a US representative, the state treasurer,
- 28:44Speaker 1: a Regional Planning Commission representative, a small business tourism expert,
- 28:50Speaker 1: and an Olympic athlete. I think I know who that
- 28:56Speaker 1: might be. To explore the feasibility. I'm reading this right offline,
- 29:07Speaker 1: right off the state's government site, the feasibility of hosting
- 29:15Speaker 1: the Olympic Games in Fromant. The task Force is charged
- 29:18Speaker 1: with reviewing Olympic hosting requirements, consulting with regional planners, and
- 29:26Speaker 1: developing a comprehensive proposal that aligns with the International Olympic
- 29:31Speaker 1: Committee's Olympic Agenda. The proposal must address multiple strategic objectives
- 29:39Speaker 1: including sustainable regional development, housing needs, tourism, industry growth. I
- 29:53Speaker 1: hope Lenna's taken his m lodopene this morning, transportation, infrastructure,
- 30:00Speaker 1: environmental protection, social equity, and long term state vision. The
- 30:08Speaker 1: task Force will provide updates to the General Assembly this
- 30:15Speaker 1: December twenty twenty five, with a final written report due
- 30:21Speaker 1: by December thirty first, twenty twenty six. So we got
- 30:28Speaker 1: a little waste to go here to figure out how
- 30:31Speaker 1: Vermont's gonna host the Olympics. We got a good, solid year,
- 30:42Speaker 1: Brenda says, we don't have room for tourists. I don't
- 30:44Speaker 1: know if we have room for the Olympics. Forget about
- 30:47Speaker 1: just the tourists. Uh, weant going to continue. I'm almost done.
- 30:56Speaker 1: The bill's findings highlight the reformed Olympic host selection process,
- 31:03Speaker 1: the impacts of climate change on Vermont, and the potential
- 31:10Speaker 1: for the Olympics to promote sustainable and resilient infrastructure and
- 31:16Speaker 1: economic development. The task Force members will receive per deem
- 31:22Speaker 1: compensation for up to twenty meetings, with the act set
- 31:30Speaker 1: to take effect on July first, twenty twenty five. I'll
- 31:43Speaker 1: drop the link here in the comments so that you
- 31:45Speaker 1: can read this. I want to hear from I want
- 31:54Speaker 1: to hear from you, I want to hear from anybody,
- 31:56Speaker 1: but I want to hear from the folks that that
- 32:05Speaker 1: think that this would be a great idea and how
- 32:10Speaker 1: it could be And I'm going to drop the F
- 32:12Speaker 1: word here. Feasible. That's what I want to hear. Let's
- 32:21Speaker 1: do it on the State House lawn during legislation, I
- 32:28Speaker 1: really do. I want somebody on the air with me
- 32:32Speaker 1: who can enlighten me to how this is a practical idea,
- 32:40Speaker 1: how this could even remotely be possible. What is it
- 32:47Speaker 1: that I'm missing here? Yesterday or I don't know, it
- 32:55Speaker 1: was either yesterday or the day before. I don't remember
- 32:58Speaker 1: the day before I was talking about those of us
- 33:05Speaker 1: who are out of touch with reality? Am I out
- 33:09Speaker 1: of touch with reality? By giggling about this? That this
- 33:14Speaker 1: is something that is so far fetched and so ridiculous
- 33:19Speaker 1: in my humble opinion? Am I out of touch? Or
- 33:24Speaker 1: is this something that really could be possible? What is
- 33:30Speaker 1: it that I'm missing? What town, what area in the
- 33:34Speaker 1: state of Vermont could host the Olympics. I know we
- 33:42Speaker 1: have some fantastic pastures, fields, farmland, big beautiful grassy fields.
- 34:03Speaker 1: I know we've got some beautiful stretches of wide open
- 34:07Speaker 1: land in Addison County, in the Champlain Valley. There's also
- 34:14Speaker 1: some absolutely gorgeous farmlands in the Connecticut River. I don't
- 34:21Speaker 1: know if you've when the last time you've driven up
- 34:23Speaker 1: Route five and taken a gander over to the right
- 34:29Speaker 1: or to the east? Beautiful? But are there any other
- 34:35Speaker 1: bigger areas? Where can we do this? Hardwick? Am I
- 34:51Speaker 1: out of touch? Here is the Vermont legislature out of touch?
- 35:00Speaker 1: Help me understand? The sponsors of this bill, Brian Sina,
- 35:16Speaker 1: Daisy Burbecco, Gregory Burt, Emily Carris, Duncan, Penny Dumar, Kate
- 35:31Speaker 1: Logan Woody page, Candice White, I'm just glancing here. If
- 35:44Speaker 1: there's anything, yeah, help me out. Chris says. The real
- 35:53Speaker 1: question is what is the real motivation behind the drive
- 35:57Speaker 1: for our legislative officials to make a big deal out
- 36:00Speaker 1: of something that is unattainable, patently unattainable. What other than
- 36:11Speaker 1: per diem money are they getting out of it. That's
- 36:15Speaker 1: a really good question. Will we ever know winter or
- 36:24Speaker 1: Summer Olympics? I believe this is summer Olympics. I believe.
- 36:30Speaker 1: I mean, we had the Olympics over in Lake Placid.
- 36:34Speaker 1: When was that seventy seven, seventy nine?
- 36:40Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 36:45Speaker 1: I just I don't know. If Vermont has money to
- 36:51Speaker 1: find the Olympics, why don't they used it to help
- 36:56Speaker 1: their seniors and homeless, to get them out of the hotels,
- 37:01Speaker 1: help fromont businesses, I mean, Brenda, Yeah, but I mean this.
- 37:05Speaker 1: We could add thirty things to that list easily. Rebecca,
- 37:20Speaker 1: Please don't please don't make me laugh. Geez, not here
- 37:28Speaker 1: this morning too. I was hoping to snap up his
- 37:32Speaker 1: blood pressure a little bit with this one. But I
- 37:36Speaker 1: know he'll be back on next Thursday and we're going
- 37:38Speaker 1: to have a good old healthy chuckle. About this one. Yeah,
- 37:49Speaker 1: thanks for just joining us this morning. If you are
- 37:54Speaker 1: national headlines, you know, I love to poke some fun
- 38:02Speaker 1: at what's going on in the news, what's making the news,
- 38:09Speaker 1: what's newsworthy, what's not? And this is huge, I mean
- 38:16Speaker 1: this is really, this is big here. I hope you're
- 38:19Speaker 1: all sitting down. Starbucks is updating its uniform policy beginning
- 38:28Speaker 1: May twelfth, which is coming up just in a few days.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Baristas in North America who work at Starbucks are going
- 38:37Speaker 1: to have to wear solid black tops to allow their
- 38:43Speaker 1: iconic green apron to shine and create a sense of
- 38:47Speaker 1: familiarity for their customers. I am so glad that that
- 38:56Speaker 1: is finally gonna be done. I mean, frankly, I've been
- 39:01Speaker 1: waiting for a long time. Ah. What else, Well, let's
- 39:15Speaker 1: take a break and talk about the roads. Like John
- 39:24Speaker 1: is saying, fix the damn roads. John, they're fixing them, Bob,
- 39:29Speaker 1: be patient. We three oh two and everywhere else busy
- 39:35Speaker 1: construction season. They're doing it. And these guys and gals
- 39:41Speaker 1: they're working their asses off. Most of them are probably
- 39:45Speaker 1: kind of, let's be honest, kind of glad that it's
- 39:47Speaker 1: been cloudy and kind of cool because the sunny, hot
- 39:51Speaker 1: weather is coming. We're going to have summer for like
- 39:53Speaker 1: a good three or four weeks here in Vermont before
- 39:56Speaker 1: the snow falls. But they're doing the best I can,
- 40:02Speaker 1: and they're working their tails off, all of them. I
- 40:04Speaker 1: have hit a few a few massive craters this spring,
- 40:13Speaker 1: mostly in March and April. The alignment of my rig
- 40:19Speaker 1: is off. I know because when I let go of
- 40:26Speaker 1: the wheel, not that I would ever do anything like that,
- 40:29Speaker 1: I need to steer it a little bit to the
- 40:34Speaker 1: right to get back destraight. So I know that I
- 40:37Speaker 1: need an alignment. You might also, and it's something the
- 40:41Speaker 1: next time you're driving, maybe you're driving out, have a
- 40:44Speaker 1: look at that, especially if you're on the interstate. You know,
- 40:48Speaker 1: driving on the interstate like I do forty miles an hour.
- 40:53Speaker 1: See if your car is, if it's got any kind
- 40:55Speaker 1: of vibration, or if it's drifting off left and right,
- 40:58Speaker 1: you might you probably need I can't think of anyone
- 41:01Speaker 1: who doesn't need in alignment unless they've had their car
- 41:04Speaker 1: in the garage for the last couple of months. State
- 41:08Speaker 1: of the art alignment machine is right now over at
- 41:13Speaker 1: Montpelier Mansta and Montpelier Volkswagon they have the most This
- 41:18Speaker 1: thing was like a million bucks. You pull in, the
- 41:21Speaker 1: garage door opens and as you're driving in, there is
- 41:24Speaker 1: this computer. I'm serious, it's like a million dollars. This
- 41:28Speaker 1: thing that is taking all of these X ray pictures
- 41:33Speaker 1: of the of the car alignment as you're pulling forward,
- 41:37Speaker 1: and real time results are produced right there for you.
- 41:42Speaker 1: So you're going to know by the way Montpilier Mansta
- 41:46Speaker 1: passed by there yesterday, you are not going to believe
- 41:49Speaker 1: your eyes. Every model, every color, every style that you've
- 41:54Speaker 1: been dreaming of. They have gorgeous cars over there, gorgeous
- 42:00Speaker 1: stop by today eleven eighty nine Route two in Montpelier.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Info at montpeliermasta dot com. Home with a big deal
- 42:07Speaker 1: in the best price period super people over there. That's
- 42:13Speaker 1: something that I need to book this week. It's got
- 42:16Speaker 1: to happen. It's on my list of to do things,
- 42:20Speaker 1: book alignment. It was actually on my list of to
- 42:24Speaker 1: do things a couple of weeks ago. But I'm waiting
- 42:28Speaker 1: as long as I can.
- 42:29Speaker 2: Here.
- 42:30Speaker 1: Yesterday I drove through South Burlington and noticed the old
- 42:41Speaker 1: Denny's building and that they were and of course you
- 42:47Speaker 1: know where I'm talking about. You've probably been there right
- 42:49Speaker 1: there on Route seven, and saw that they were repurposing
- 42:56Speaker 1: the old Denny's building as a Domino's piece, And immediately,
- 43:04Speaker 1: UH said to myself, like in a half a second, bang,
- 43:11Speaker 1: what the hell do we need another Domino's pizza for?
- 43:16Speaker 1: And the person that I was with brief conversation, my god,
- 43:23Speaker 1: another Domino's pizza? We have so many of them? Do
- 43:34Speaker 1: we need another one? I mean, there seems like there's
- 43:38Speaker 1: there's one in every block. Then I learned that there's
- 43:40Speaker 1: one like literally a half a mile away. I don't know.
- 43:54Speaker 1: I mean, it's uh, you know, it's not like I'm
- 43:57Speaker 1: getting like a upset about this, but I'm just saying,
- 44:00Speaker 1: is there something else that we could I know, we
- 44:08Speaker 1: don't live in South Burlington, and there's plenty of us
- 44:10Speaker 1: that are like JD. I don't give a damn, but man,
- 44:14Speaker 1: it's like, holy crap, do we need another Domino's pizza.
- 44:23Speaker 1: I come home and then I wake up this morning
- 44:28Speaker 1: to the news on WCAX that during the overnight, please
- 44:34Speaker 1: don't start any rumors that it was me. I wasn't
- 44:37Speaker 1: the one I was sleeping in the middle of the
- 44:39Speaker 1: overnight nowhere near South Burlington either. But somebody in the
- 44:47Speaker 1: middle of the night, and I don't know how they
- 44:51Speaker 1: did it. I'm guessing the ladder spray painted on the
- 44:57Speaker 1: front facade of the building, the whole roof. We don't
- 45:03Speaker 1: want this, in big white letters, we don't want this.
- 45:15Speaker 1: And of course the police are investigating. And you know this.
- 45:23Speaker 1: This is the property that's adjacent to the former pizza
- 45:30Speaker 1: that's been, as C. A x says, plagued by graffiti
- 45:36Speaker 1: for years, and that property is being converted to housing.
- 45:42Speaker 1: I saw that yesterday too. I can't imagine what the
- 45:47Speaker 1: price tag was on that that piece of land. And
- 45:52Speaker 1: then we got Codo just adjacent to that too, and
- 45:57Speaker 1: I got thinking. And I've been up and down recently
- 46:03Speaker 1: over the last couple of months. There are some parts
- 46:07Speaker 1: of Root seven that look pretty rough that have been
- 46:16Speaker 1: subjected to little neglect. Cotos is one of them. They
- 46:24Speaker 1: need some power washing over there at the absolute least.
- 46:29Speaker 1: I don't know. I just I saw that in the
- 46:32Speaker 1: news this morning. I'm like, oh my god, I was
- 46:34Speaker 1: just there and somebody got up in the middle of
- 46:37Speaker 1: the night, shook up the white can of spray paint,
- 46:43Speaker 1: got the ladder out of the garage and went over
- 46:46Speaker 1: there and got up to the roof and spray painted
- 46:50Speaker 1: we don't want this. Huh yeah, Ethan, the people have spoken, Well,
- 47:00Speaker 1: that's one way to do it. Also, woke up this
- 47:05Speaker 1: morning to the news of speaking of Burlington Burlington City
- 47:17Speaker 1: Hall and the council meeting again to discuss whether or
- 47:27Speaker 1: not there's going to be an overdose prevention center in
- 47:30Speaker 1: Burlington and where exactly is it going to go if
- 47:37Speaker 1: it happens, and that the majority, if not all, of
- 47:45Speaker 1: the people that were there in that meeting, we're just
- 47:53Speaker 1: appalled by this, and I know that that is a
- 48:04Speaker 1: real sensitive topic. I also know that no matter what
- 48:15Speaker 1: I were to say about it, or you that you're
- 48:19Speaker 1: hitting a hot button, you're hitting a hot button. Respectfully.
- 48:25Speaker 1: There are folks that are for it and folks that
- 48:30Speaker 1: are against it, and they all have their reasons, and
- 48:41Speaker 1: sometimes it might be difficult to process or understand or
- 48:52Speaker 1: even begin to understand their reasons because we all have
- 48:58Speaker 1: a different story, all have a unique experience on this planet,
- 49:08Speaker 1: different from the guy next to you. I can't fathom
- 49:17Speaker 1: living in the Queen City or anywhere near it. Sorry
- 49:22Speaker 1: to say that, but what's going on in that city.
- 49:28Speaker 1: Is what I see, what I hear, what you see
- 49:32Speaker 1: in here in the news daily, sometimes hourly. That city
- 49:40Speaker 1: really has to get their shit figured out. Does federal
- 49:47Speaker 1: funding come into play. That's a good question, Jesse. I
- 49:53Speaker 1: don't know the answer, but I just know that what
- 50:01Speaker 1: I'm seeing, what I'm hearing in the news, people are
- 50:05Speaker 1: freaking out about this. It's difficult at times to try
- 50:14Speaker 1: to respect everybody's opinion for or against something like this.
- 50:23Speaker 1: It's very difficult. Like I said, we all have our
- 50:29Speaker 1: unique reasons for feeling for against something like that. Yeah,
- 50:46Speaker 1: I'm seeing the comments coming in this morning on this.
- 50:50Speaker 1: It's in the news. You should read to believe me,
- 50:53Speaker 1: read up on it. It's funky. It's a lot of
- 51:00Speaker 1: funky stuff going on in Burlington. I'm just glancing here
- 51:12Speaker 1: in a few things. There's some activity out the window too,
- 51:16Speaker 1: here on the sidewalk that I'm a little distracted by
- 51:19Speaker 1: this morning. Becky says, I live in Essex and I
- 51:26Speaker 1: haven't visited downtown Burlington in years. Wow, Jesse says, I
- 51:33Speaker 1: feel like the city is looking to make money on
- 51:35Speaker 1: this situation. They're also watching what's what they're doing in
- 51:42Speaker 1: New York City and trying to maybe see if they
- 51:53Speaker 1: can model that. I don't know. I don't know. Yes,
- 52:08Speaker 1: Crystal g is just fine, not able to make it
- 52:13Speaker 1: this morning, but hopefully we'll get him next next Thursday.
- 52:19Speaker 1: I was going through some of my footage on my
- 52:23Speaker 1: GoPro of because I was asked, Jadi, when are you
- 52:28Speaker 1: gonna start putting some pictures in video of a CDC
- 52:33Speaker 1: up on your up on your podcast page. I need
- 52:36Speaker 1: to go through this go Pro and Chuck. I need
- 52:39Speaker 1: to get this the go Pro memory chip to Kurt
- 52:44Speaker 1: and have him start slicing and dicing and putting together
- 52:47Speaker 1: this documentary.
- 52:49Speaker 2: Yeah. Sure, you know that'd be great, but you know
- 52:52Speaker 2: how your schedule is.
- 52:53Speaker 1: No, I'll get it.
- 52:55Speaker 5: It'll be you know, two years and six months before
- 52:57Speaker 5: you actually run into him.
- 53:00Speaker 1: I will get it to him. I promise. I promise.
- 53:05Speaker 1: I want him to.
- 53:06Speaker 2: Don't promise me, promise your listeners.
- 53:09Speaker 1: I'm promising my listeners right now that I will get
- 53:12Speaker 1: the memory chip, the sixty four gig chip out of
- 53:15Speaker 1: the go Pro, and I will get it to get done.
- 53:19Speaker 1: I'll get it done because he wants it. He wants
- 53:22Speaker 1: to edit it all together and put put together.
- 53:24Speaker 5: He's looking for a project and he needs I think
- 53:26Speaker 5: it's something to do with this school, like the right
- 53:29Speaker 5: end of the year. This is a big This will
- 53:31Speaker 5: help him out quite a bit. So if you don't
- 53:34Speaker 5: do it, you'll be ruining my son's future.
- 53:35Speaker 1: So yeah, you know, no, I'm not going to do that.
- 53:38Speaker 1: I did tell him though. I did tell him. I said, look,
- 53:41Speaker 1: before I give you this, go pro camera please, And
- 53:44Speaker 1: everything is raw footage on there. Nothing's been edited or anything.
- 53:47Speaker 1: I'm like, please please cut out the part where your
- 53:53Speaker 1: dad takes his shirt off and starts trying to body
- 53:55Speaker 1: surf and no one, no one can lift him up,
- 53:57Speaker 1: and all of that, we got it. That can't that's
- 54:01Speaker 1: no one should be seeing that.
- 54:02Speaker 5: Oh yeah, no, that would have been tragic if that
- 54:05Speaker 5: would actually actually really happen.
- 54:07Speaker 1: And all those and all those and all those chocolate
- 54:10Speaker 1: chip cookies that you tried to bring into the concert
- 54:13Speaker 1: your pockets and they just crumbled.
- 54:17Speaker 5: And everybody was such a bunch of old can't handle
- 54:20Speaker 5: your cookies.
- 54:21Speaker 1: Well, you just had all these little chocolate chip cookies,
- 54:23Speaker 1: and your.
- 54:24Speaker 2: Cookies are so tough. I can't do it.
- 54:27Speaker 1: Little chocolate chip cookie crumbs.
- 54:31Speaker 2: Well, The crumbs are the best part. I made a
- 54:34Speaker 2: mistake one time, a long time ago with cookie crumbs.
- 54:38Speaker 5: So I had some cookies, and it was always a
- 54:40Speaker 5: routine for me when I cooked things, you know, all
- 54:42Speaker 5: the crumbs, I'd put it in the mister Brodie's dish.
- 54:46Speaker 2: And then out of habit.
- 54:47Speaker 5: I scooped up all the crumbs and I put him
- 54:49Speaker 5: in his dish, not thinking it was a habit, you know,
- 54:51Speaker 5: if it was beef for.
- 54:53Speaker 2: Sure, something, I just always did it.
- 54:54Speaker 5: Sure, I put it in there, and I didn't think
- 54:57Speaker 5: nothing of it, walked away and I was like, oh.
- 55:00Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 55:03Speaker 2: So he was relaxed for a little while.
- 55:05Speaker 1: Listen, I am still coming, still coming off of the
- 55:11Speaker 1: the experience of being at a c DC with you
- 55:14Speaker 1: and Kurt and Sherilyn and Vic and Lily.
- 55:19Speaker 2: It was an angel and spirit.
- 55:21Speaker 1: And angel and spirit. Uh. It was probably one of
- 55:25Speaker 1: the best nights of my life. Buddy. I'm not gonna
- 55:27Speaker 1: lie yet.
- 55:27Speaker 2: Oh, no doubt about it.
- 55:28Speaker 5: I mean, like I said before, dude, I've seen a
- 55:31Speaker 5: few concerts. I've seen Metallica four times. I've seen We's
- 55:35Speaker 5: See You, Red Hot Chili Peppers. I've seen Smashing Pumpkins,
- 55:38Speaker 5: Pearl Jam, and the Woodstock and none of those shows
- 55:42Speaker 5: made my ears ring so bad.
- 55:45Speaker 2: And I'm pretty sure I'm a little more hard of
- 55:47Speaker 2: hearing now.
- 55:48Speaker 1: Oh I definitely am. I definitely am. Chuck, tell our
- 55:55Speaker 1: listeners about your your takeaway expirenience with the amazing uh
- 56:04Speaker 1: tailgating that was happening.
- 56:06Speaker 2: Oh yeah, the tailgating was good.
- 56:08Speaker 5: We had I brought some trip you bought toally your sausage,
- 56:12Speaker 5: and even though I told you I have I have
- 56:14Speaker 5: high cholesterol, you still tried to kill me with the sausage.
- 56:18Speaker 5: And then nice what else we had? We had peppers onions.
- 56:23Speaker 5: Shrilyn made a pasta salad that was really good, and
- 56:27Speaker 5: then it was your your taco salad.
- 56:31Speaker 2: But I was looking for the buffalo dip.
- 56:33Speaker 5: So it made it tasted good, but I was disappointed
- 56:37Speaker 5: because I wanted buffalo dip.
- 56:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I would have.
- 56:40Speaker 5: You know, I would have brought my toaster oven. You know,
- 56:42Speaker 5: I have a plugin in my truck.
- 56:43Speaker 2: I would have. I would have. I would have come
- 56:45Speaker 2: up with something.
- 56:45Speaker 1: Well the next show, an angel will be at that
- 56:48Speaker 1: one the next one.
- 56:50Speaker 2: But we got get here.
- 56:52Speaker 1: On the show, there was so much great food man.
- 56:55Speaker 1: And yeah, Sherilyn made the pasta salad. I mean it
- 56:59Speaker 1: was just everything was amazing.
- 57:03Speaker 2: It was, And.
- 57:03Speaker 1: Plus I had gallons gallons of Margarita's.
- 57:11Speaker 2: Yeah, which we really didn't put too much of a
- 57:12Speaker 2: dent in, but you know, next time.
- 57:15Speaker 1: So why don't you tell everyone what I did or
- 57:20Speaker 1: what I didn't.
- 57:21Speaker 2: You're gonna have to be more specific. It's that's kind
- 57:24Speaker 2: of like up in the air, what you do? You
- 57:26Speaker 2: do a lot of super ship.
- 57:29Speaker 1: Well this, oh you mean you're talking about the seats. No,
- 57:32Speaker 1: I'm not talking about it.
- 57:34Speaker 2: What was in the seat? Oh you mean the seats
- 57:36Speaker 2: you didn't know we had? Is that what you're talking about?
- 57:39Speaker 5: I forgot that they were on the the fact, the
- 57:42Speaker 5: fact that you thought we paid six hundred and fifty
- 57:45Speaker 5: dollars for bleacher seats.
- 57:46Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Is that what you want me to talk about?
- 57:50Speaker 1: No, I want you to talk about how difficult it
- 57:54Speaker 1: was to eat the food and drink the margarita.
- 57:57Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that was we were making a mess for sure.
- 58:02Speaker 2: Oh that's what it was. You forgot to bring cops
- 58:05Speaker 2: all that margerita mix, all that stuff, and there's no cops.
- 58:09Speaker 5: But like I told you, when you're at an event
- 58:11Speaker 5: like that, you have to have things kind of low key. Yeah,
- 58:15Speaker 5: so like if you're drinking a beer, put it in
- 58:18Speaker 5: you put it in a copy, and then the cops
- 58:21Speaker 5: leave you alone.
- 58:21Speaker 2: It's kind of etiquette, respect for one another.
- 58:24Speaker 5: So we ended up just using your water bottles and
- 58:28Speaker 5: stuff like that.
- 58:28Speaker 2: So it worked out perfect.
- 58:33Speaker 1: Yeah, it was, uh, you know, I'm like, oh my god,
- 58:37Speaker 1: are you serious?
- 58:39Speaker 2: Although I'm not complaining. I mean, you guys brought a feast,
- 58:41Speaker 2: so I don't. Luckily, I don't.
- 58:44Speaker 5: Luckily, I don't clean my car very often. So we
- 58:46Speaker 5: had plenty of junk we could have drunk out of.
- 58:48Speaker 2: And we did dunk in the trunk.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Sorry, but you know.
- 58:57Speaker 2: Well where we are mbv mind buddy, welcome to my
- 59:00Speaker 2: add mind.
- 59:00Speaker 1: There we are at a total desperation, taking water bottles,
- 59:06Speaker 1: empty water bottles and cutting the tops.
- 59:09Speaker 6: Off some of them were full. We were dumping, dumping
- 59:13Speaker 6: the water and cutting cutting the tops off.
- 59:21Speaker 1: I had the lemons, I had the lines, I had
- 59:24Speaker 1: everything there, and then the food. We didn't have any silverware.
- 59:27Speaker 2: Oh that's right, the silverware too, that's right. We were
- 59:30Speaker 2: using sticks doing chopstick style.
- 59:33Speaker 1: I had the skewers.
- 59:36Speaker 2: Yeah, that was okay, that was perfect.
- 59:39Speaker 1: Tried to pasta salad with a skewer.
- 59:42Speaker 2: Well, I don't know.
- 59:42Speaker 5: The Japanese guy's been doing that ship for years and
- 59:45Speaker 5: they could do a weekend.
- 59:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it was pretty good.
- 59:51Speaker 1: I mean we had our hands. We Chuck was getting
- 59:55Speaker 1: in there and scooping up pasta solid and eating it
- 59:58Speaker 1: with his hands. Amazing.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: Yeah, sorry, sorry if I sat a little winded. I'm
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: out in my secret fiddle headfield picking fiddle heads while
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: I'm talking to.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: You, Lord, have mercy.
- 1:00:09Speaker 5: Yeah, I've got a secret fiddle head that's it's discovered
- 1:00:13Speaker 5: and it's beautiful.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: Absolutely beautiful. I'm not telling anybody about this place.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: Yeah, ye please please don't please.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: Mine mine my fiddle heads.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: Have fun picking your fiddle heads. Buddy, get some rest,
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: will you rest?
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: Yeah right, I'm still trying to move into the apartment.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: Love you, Chuck.
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: And I'm up all night because I was watching the
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: the drug dealers across my street part you know, a
- 1:00:38Speaker 5: fucking night.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: Oh that's great. Where the hell the cops you need them?
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: Y
