- 0:36Speaker 3: You know, and I feel like it's the first time
- 0:38Speaker 3: right now it's there. I feel like Because normally, it's 100-something.
- 0:42Speaker 3: It's kind of doable right now.
- 0:43Speaker 2: It's still 100-something.
- 0:43Speaker 1: No, it was 80 when I pulled in this morning.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Yeah, tonight, overnight, when I let my dog, Jango, out
- 0:48Speaker 2: at 1 a.m., there was a little chill in the air.
- 0:50Speaker 2: 1 a.m.? Yeah, he had to go pee. What am
- 0:52Speaker 2: I going to do?
- 0:52Speaker 4: It's 4 o'clock this afternoon.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Just like his dad, he's got to pee a lot.
- 0:56Speaker 2: All right, it's Astral National Ice... No, I said it's National... I.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Better bleep that. That's what I heard. I leasted it.
- 1:05Speaker 2: It's Astral Day every day for you. It's National Ice
- 1:12Speaker 2: Cream Cone Day. Delicious. It's National Hobbit Day. Like, you know,
- 1:16Speaker 2: Bilbo and Freddo, they share a birthday. This one's kind
- 1:19Speaker 2: of fun. It's Elephant Appreciation Day. National White Chocolate Day.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Dear Diary Day. And it is National Girls Night. Girls'
- 1:31Speaker 2: Night in the Day and Legwear Day. Wow, lots of
- 1:34Speaker 2: dates today on your first day of fall. Celebrate accordingly.
- 1:37Speaker 2: I don't know why we don't have ice cream in here.
- 1:39Speaker 2: We should have ice cream.
- 1:40Speaker 4: We need to.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Ice cream!
- 1:41Speaker 4: I guarantee you there's going to be a bunch of
- 1:43Speaker 4: the white chicks clips of... Oh, yeah.
- 1:46Speaker 1: White chicks.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Going around today?
- 1:50Speaker 3: I want to bring up something that's all about perspective
- 1:52Speaker 3: because I thought something happened to me a couple days
- 1:55Speaker 3: ago and then Peyton brought it up through a different perspective.
- 1:58Speaker 3: And when I first started driving, I've never once, and
- 2:01Speaker 3: I say this because never once in my life did
- 2:03Speaker 3: I ever pay attention to gas prices because I figured
- 2:05Speaker 3: I got to get gas no matter what, right? So
- 2:09Speaker 3: when I had a job, when I didn't have a job,
- 2:11Speaker 3: doesn't matter how much money I made or did make,
- 2:12Speaker 3: it was always like, I put 39 cents in my
- 2:15Speaker 3: tank before because I needed gas. But we were in
- 2:18Speaker 3: San Diego over the weekend, and we were getting gas.
- 2:22Speaker 3: And my wife was like, is.
- 2:24Speaker 1: It really $ 6. 50 a gallon? Yikes.
- 2:26Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 2:28Speaker 3: You know, it's only $ 4. 50 a gallon back home. And
- 2:32Speaker 3: I was like, oh, I go, I didn't. I go,
- 2:34Speaker 3: I don't know, Blake, we need gas, right? And then Peyton,
- 2:38Speaker 3: you had the opposite perspective.
- 2:39Speaker 4: Yeah, I literally went to work this morning. I was like, oh,
- 2:42Speaker 4: I need to fill up my gas tank. I looked
- 2:44Speaker 4: at my gas tank. It was like a $ 60 to
- 2:46Speaker 4: fill it up. My car only usually is like $ 40.
- 2:49Speaker 4: I looked at the price, $ 4. 50.
- 2:51Speaker 2: We don't live in California. Why is it that high?
- 2:53Speaker 1: It's not that high in California. It's higher than California.
- 2:56Speaker 4: I literally was like, did I miss something?
- 2:58Speaker 2: No. Because when did this happen? They're messing us over.
- 3:01Speaker 2: I heard that oil has been on an 11-day low.
- 3:04Speaker 2: But why is it when the oil prices go up
- 3:06Speaker 2: for one day, the price of gas goes up? Yeah.
- 3:08Speaker 2: It's been going down for 11 days, and the prices
- 3:10Speaker 2: are still up. Scam. Scam. Scam.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Scam.
- 3:14Speaker 4: And the same thing, though. I was literally talking to
- 3:16Speaker 4: my brother, Jalen, because we were flying to Vegas over
- 3:18Speaker 4: the weekend. And I was like, why are these flights
- 3:21Speaker 4: so expensive? Like, a flight to Vegas round trip was
- 3:24Speaker 4: like $ 120.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Four years ago.
- 3:26Speaker 4: And he's like, the gas prices are so high. Can
- 3:28Speaker 4: you imagine what plane fuel is right now?
- 3:31Speaker 2: Of course prices are high. When they pull up to
- 3:33Speaker 2: a Circle K, those planes, they got to pay a
- 3:36Speaker 2: lot of money. Exactly.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Yeah, it's pretty. But again, it's perspective, isn't it? Because
- 3:40Speaker 3: the number 450, $ 4. 50, you say it's too high. And
- 3:44Speaker 3: my wife was saying that's a little bit more reasonable
- 3:47Speaker 3: than the 650 in San Diego.
- 3:49Speaker 4: I would get a stomachache if I saw 650 on.
- 3:51Speaker 2: The gas pump.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Well, I had to do it.
- 3:53Speaker 2: What are you going to do?
- 3:55Speaker 1: I had to do it. That's how much it costs.
- 3:56Speaker 4: That's why people get all the Costco and Sam's Club
- 3:58Speaker 4: memberships for the cheaper gas.
- 3:59Speaker 3: By the way, with the Costco, I'm going to call
- 4:01Speaker 3: it like, I'm going to say it's my official first
- 4:03Speaker 3: time going to Costco.
- 4:05Speaker 1: It's not.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Because I went to, I went to, when my son
- 4:08Speaker 3: lived in Hawaii, we would go to Hawaii. We would
- 4:11Speaker 3: go to the Costco in Hawaii to get stuff for him.
- 4:12Speaker 3: But he knew exactly what we were getting.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Right. So it was like be like, boom, boom, boom,
- 4:16Speaker 1: and go. Right.
- 4:17Speaker 3: And then I find out that the Costco in Honolulu,
- 4:20Speaker 3: you could even Google it, is the busiest Costco in
- 4:23Speaker 3: the world.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 4:24Speaker 1: In the world.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Dang, that's crazy.
- 4:26Speaker 3: That's so stated. I went to Costco a couple of
- 4:28Speaker 3: days ago. With new eyes, a new perspective.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Wandering free amongst the aisles.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I was blown away. It's amazing.
- 4:36Speaker 2: You were just browsing.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Just going, we started off in like the vitamins, the
- 4:40Speaker 3: pharmacy section, right? They have everything there now. That's like
- 4:43Speaker 3: all the biohackers, all the stuff that is good quality stuff.
- 4:46Speaker 3: It's all good stuff. Then we went, you know, I
- 4:48Speaker 3: was doing the samples. I played along. I did the samples.
- 4:52Speaker 3: I was, I was eating all the samples.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Take advantage of the samples.
- 4:55Speaker 1: And then it was like, and then it got to like,
- 4:57Speaker 1: we need this. She'd be like, what do we need?
- 4:59Speaker 1: I go, we need a new Vitamix.
- 5:01Speaker 2: She's like, no we don't.
- 5:02Speaker 3: I go, ours is totally different than this Vitamix and
- 5:04Speaker 3: our Vitamix sucks. This looks like they might've made it
- 5:06Speaker 3: so I got a new Vitamix.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Oh, you did?
- 5:08Speaker 2: Yeah. You'll never replace a Vitamix except for you.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Oh, I brought two Vitamix. Our Vitamixes suck.
- 5:12Speaker 4: It's probably like $ 100 cheaper than you would get at
- 5:14Speaker 4: anywhere else.
- 5:15Speaker 3: That's a good point. So she was looking to get towels, right?
- 5:17Speaker 3: So she says to me at one point, wait, where's,
- 5:19Speaker 3: I wrote this. Oh, we're pushing the cart. This is, this,
- 5:22Speaker 3: she started it. She goes, I don't care what you say.
- 5:25Speaker 3: I'm going to get this candle. She gets this candle.
- 5:27Speaker 3: And it's like a big, I go, what do you
- 5:29Speaker 3: mean you don't care what I say?
- 5:30Speaker 1: And I go, why do we need a candle?
- 5:31Speaker 3: She goes, I need this candle. It's a big round candle.
- 5:34Speaker 3: So she puts this candle there. Then I was like, oh,
- 5:36Speaker 3: I don't care what you say.
- 5:37Speaker 2: I'm going to get this vitamin. She started it.
- 5:41Speaker 3: There's 300 bucks right there. I shave my face with
- 5:44Speaker 3: a real razor maybe once every three weeks. And I
- 5:47Speaker 3: usually go to Safeway and get these little razors. You
- 5:50Speaker 3: don't use the bra and I got you? No, that's
- 5:52Speaker 3: an electric razor. But it doesn't get as close as
- 5:54Speaker 3: the whatever. So at Costco, they had the same razors
- 5:57Speaker 3: I get at Safeway. They had like 75 of them.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Yeah, like the Gleason ones or whatever.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I got those.
- 6:02Speaker 2: My dad uses those too.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I was like, now I don't ever have to
- 6:05Speaker 1: buy a razor again for the rest of my life.
- 6:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:07Speaker 2: And did you enjoy the glorious meat section where they
- 6:10Speaker 2: got all those?
- 6:11Speaker 3: No, we went and got non-perishables. That was the deal, non-perishables.
- 6:15Speaker 3: We got nuts, lots of nuts. But I was just
- 6:18Speaker 3: so blown away. And then I saw a jacket. So
- 6:21Speaker 3: I saw this jacket.
- 6:21Speaker 1: For $ 32 there.
- 6:22Speaker 3: And I bought the jacket, right? I took a picture
- 6:26Speaker 3: of it. Everyone wants to know where I got the jacket.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I'm like, Costco. I even put a picture up. I'm like, Costco.
- 6:31Speaker 1: What Costco are you at? Don't they all have them
- 6:33Speaker 1: all the same?
- 6:33Speaker 4: No.
- 6:33Speaker 2: No.
- 6:34Speaker 1: No.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Right. There was a star Wars sweatshirt that I almost got,
- 6:39Speaker 3: but I didn't fit.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Right. So I didn't get it.
- 6:40Speaker 3: I put a picture of it. It was like, what
- 6:42Speaker 3: Costco is that? Those aren't at my Costco. I'm like,
- 6:44Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 6:44Speaker 2: How was it? And I bet you, if you went back,
- 6:46Speaker 2: it wouldn't be there anymore.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. So anyway, we should have gotten it. Now
- 6:51Speaker 2: it's gone.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I know. Anyway, big fan of Costco.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 6:55Speaker 1: I don't have a membership. Blake does.
- 6:56Speaker 2: I love that you walk through there without a plan.
- 7:00Speaker 2: That's the most glorious.
- 7:01Speaker 1: It's amazing.
- 7:02Speaker 2: No, that's the most.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Dangerous way to walk through Costco.
- 7:05Speaker 2: For sure. Yeah, because you're like, maybe I'll get some
- 7:07Speaker 2: sunflower seeds. And you're like, I also need a 100-inch
- 7:09Speaker 2: screen TV because they have them here.
- 7:11Speaker 1: The 100-inch TV is beautiful. They are awesome, right? Yeah,
- 7:13Speaker 1: it's beautiful.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Don't you want one of those so bad?
- 7:15Speaker 1: I feel like they make it look better at Costco
- 7:17Speaker 1: than it would at your house.
- 7:18Speaker 2: I think they do, too. I think those TVs must
- 7:20Speaker 2: give really good demo.
- 7:21Speaker 3: So when you know, Blake goes, shoot, we need another cart.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Go get another cart. So you know how the guy
- 7:27Speaker 3: checks your badge. So I was walking out. I go, Hey,
- 7:29Speaker 3: do you want to let you know? My wife's got
- 7:31Speaker 3: the membership. I'm just going to go out and get
- 7:33Speaker 3: a cart and I'm going to come right back.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Right.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Cause I thought the guy goes, okay, I'll just make
- 7:38Speaker 3: sure we got to come back. You remember my face.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Cause I thought everyone needs it. Cause they're really checking.
- 7:42Speaker 3: And then when I leave, they check the receipt. And
- 7:45Speaker 3: I looked at Blake.
- 7:45Speaker 1: I go, there's no freaking way that guy looked at
- 7:47Speaker 1: everything we had.
- 7:48Speaker 3: It took him two seconds. And she says, she has
- 7:50Speaker 3: a friend that works at Costco. She goes, they just
- 7:51Speaker 3: look at the most expensive thing.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Have you heard that? Do you know how they do that?
- 7:54Speaker 4: No, but I believe that they probably do a quick little.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I thought they counted the items.
- 7:58Speaker 1: There's no way.
- 7:59Speaker 2: We had two carts full of stuff.
- 8:00Speaker 1: And the guy goes, let me see. Guy goes, mm-hmm. Okay,
- 8:03Speaker 1: go ahead. I'm like, you're full of it.
- 8:05Speaker 2: He's really good.
- 8:06Speaker 4: You guys weren't suspect enough for him.
- 8:07Speaker 2: He was like, look at this nice lady. I'm surprised.
- 8:10Speaker 2: She's innocent. When you walk into Costco with your cart,
- 8:12Speaker 2: like right to the right, as soon as you walk in,
- 8:15Speaker 2: it's like nothing you ever thought you would need, but
- 8:17Speaker 2: must have. And I don't know how they do it,
- 8:19Speaker 2: but they get me every single time.
- 8:20Speaker 3: Well, yeah, they had these like fleece pajamas, like one piece.
- 8:24Speaker 1: I was like, we need these.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Right. I don't know how they know. But they know stuff.
- 8:29Speaker 2: They know stuff there.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Shout out to Costco. I wish there was a documentary
- 8:32Speaker 1: on how Costco started.
- 8:34Speaker 4: And they paid their employees really well.
- 8:35Speaker 1: That's good stuff, man.
- 8:36Speaker 2: And they kept the hot dog at $ 1. 50. And they're
- 8:38Speaker 2: bringing back the churros.
- 8:39Speaker 1: And that's where you got to get gas. That's the
- 8:41Speaker 1: place to get gas. Costco.
- 8:42Speaker 2: This is not an endorsement, by the way. No, I
- 8:44Speaker 2: wish it was. I wish it was.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Costco, send me an unboxing. That's the thing. All they
- 8:48Speaker 1: have are boxes.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Yes.
