- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: To listen into building the Broncos with Nick Kendall and Carl Dumbler, Broncos' countries leading draft in scouting analysts.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: Hit on over to milehighhuddle.com to sound off on all things Broncos.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: Hello, hello, it is.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_02]: Do you want to say you really like Keith?
- 0:23[SPEAKER_02]: We're here to talk a little bit of Broncos.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_02]: This is building the Broncos as always.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_02]: Tuesday evening, I'm Nick Kendall joined by Carl Dumbler.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_02]: Carl, how are you doing?
- 0:31[SPEAKER_02]: Are you getting hit by this cold wet spat?
- 0:34[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I woke up, rained all day yesterday.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_02]: It was kind of gray.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_02]: The clouds weren't as low as they are in Seattle.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like a lot of times in winter, but it felt a little bit like February out in the PNW in Denver.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_02]: And we need the moisture in the cool air.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll take it.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 0:49[SPEAKER_02]: Walk in the dog and the wet, not the most fun.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_02]: I forgot about how much of a pain in the butt.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_02]: That is with my golden retriever who's just a muddy mess every day, so far this week.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we had tornadoes on, I think it was, was it Sunday, Saturday?
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: We had tornado come through and it like, is the bouncing one?
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yep, it's kind of weird.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: It would hit one house, bounce over about three other houses, hit another house.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_01]: So it's through you and I'm pretty much pretty much so it was kind of where my office is a block north it ripped a tree out of the root like the roots completely came out everything just the block from my office but everything around it completely fine just that one little spot got hit so it's kind of a crazy little evening for everybody out here and it was my dogs burst storm and so that was quite the adventure we weren't home.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_01]: we're at somebody else's house and so I came home and I saw that he had peed in the kitchen and I was walking and I'm like oh look he peed in the kitchen and my wife goes and you're standing in crap and I looked down and I'd stepped in dog poop.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_01]: So got distracted by the pee missed the poop.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_02]: I hate what happens.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_02]: I know it's my own but that's yeah that's okay.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_02]: You're the theologist here.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_02]: I know that smiting is with lightning.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_02]: Is there the equivalent
- 2:16[SPEAKER_02]: really rampant in the North American area.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe not as when there's some in Europe and nation stuff, and not like here.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_02]: Is that is everything?
- 2:25[SPEAKER_01]: God didn't sort of towards lightning.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's tornadoes.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_01]: There's wind.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_01]: There's moments where wind kicks up and big storm pop up and they have to cry out in those moments and ask for help.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, Jonah, you maybe heard of Jonah in the fish?
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_01]: That was a slayer.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: It came up and well.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_01]: It debated.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it's debated.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm going to say fish here.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to be corrected in the way that it's supposed to be written.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, so yes, there are some storms that come up.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_01]: And God uses that as well.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's today's show.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_02]: We really took a different turn.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_02]: I'll say hello to everybody in here as we are getting the.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_02]: I was gonna make another Bible reference.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, getting this arc of float here.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's been raining here enough.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe the animals will start line in two by two.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_02]: We got David Yonken coming in, so I think the most important thing this season is to play calling, because we have no idea how Davis Webb will do.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care about pre-season gaming call because it was not with the starters.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Davis Webb is really interesting because he's new, and I imagine there will be more volatility to the offense, because of that,
- 3:39[SPEAKER_02]: but also at the same time you bring it back almost everybody in bonus is in year three and you still have the baseline that is Sean Payton here.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_02]: So I agree, I think there's the unknown factor where I think the ceiling is potentially higher because of it, the four may be a little bit too, but I think, I don't know, I'm expecting.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_02]: Most of the improvements from the offense will be year three bonus, and what the added element of jail and water brings.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_02]: But we'll get into some of these guys here at the top of the show most important Broncos, but those are, again, I'm more player, obviously the program matters, but it's an interesting one, just because not too much is change and you still have Shonping, right?
- 4:27[SPEAKER_02]: Like, he's still right fall work.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_01]: Right, right.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: When all else fails, hit the emergency button, Sean Payton stepped back in and you've got a top seven play collar and football right back in the seat.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_01]: So, and he'll be a huge part of the weekly offensive meetings.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_01]: You can't tell me he's going to skip those meetings.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: That he's not going to be a part of figuring out the first what 20 plays of the game that they're going to try to run.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: Like you said, the play sheet is probably going to be 95% still his plays.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's going to be very much still similar.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's one of those where David's Web, thankfully, has a very nice cushion to fall back on if he's struggling.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, he can always even during the game.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: He could even go up Trump and say, hey, I'm struggling here.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: What would you do in this moment?
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: You know, most of them do often take orders, don't yeah, most often coordinators don't have that ability it's more think or swim by yourself and if you don't everything is going to fall on you and you're probably going to get fired.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_02]: It's just the unknown as David gets into here so we'll see Chase I mean gosh, I've been busy at work and I'm heading off to.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_02]: Boston tomorrow, but he says, uh, the Kansas City Chiefs and I'll feel this.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: She's name a better do it.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_02]: Did I miss something?
- 5:51[SPEAKER_02]: Today.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Rushy Rice went again.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_01]: In prison jail jail.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_01]: I should say 30 days in jail.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_01]: So he violated his probation.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my God.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_01]: And essentially, he got caught smoking some things that he shouldn't have.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: And he lost his ability to choose.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_01]: He was gonna have 30 days in jail.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_01]: He lost his ability to choose, pretty much the judge is like, nope, today in jail.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: And he also had surgery on his knee.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_01]: And he's gonna be out a couple months.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_02]: So he seems like a little bit like a dip.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, I don't know, I was background but the whole racing thing and every nice.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of them, um, I will say, you know, ever since George Peyton has been here, even though we had, obviously, bad moves of Nathaniel Hackett and Russell Wilson, this team has definitely been one where the people on the roster and part of the organization are ones that for the most part.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_02]: You can cheer for.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, really, I was talking with a friend the other day about it, like talking about the chiefs in like domestic assault and all this things and I was like, since search Baton's been here, they really have not had many people that have had the background.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_02]: There was Michael Willhoit, the past rushing coach.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_02]: But he was dealt with and moved on from obviously this might be unpopular, but there's stuff on the record with Von Miller.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_02]: He's no longer here, but he was traded away and not brought back.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't think he will be brought back quite frankly.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_02]: It's good era, maybe best to just kind of keep the past and the past on that one.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I can't think of anything where there's been issues with the Broncos since the George Peyton era.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_02]: And if there have been, they've been dealt with expeditiously.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: We, is that the correct one?
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: We signed them from Detroit.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, he got in trouble.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, Josh Reynolds.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_01]: Like Reynolds.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_02]: He got like hunted down by people at the strip club because he was fawning money and then they ran him down and shot him.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_02]: Like maybe put yourself in a bad position.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_02]: You're right on that.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: But it doesn't sound like he was out there.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_02]: That committing assault.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: Right, no, I agree.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_01]: I just...
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: I was trying to think of any actual incidents that we've had in the last minute.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's just make a little point.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's probably, I mean, really, that's that one.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: The coach, like punching a cop at DIA.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so no, it's been much better.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: I remember there was a Patriots fan, started a website and it was pretty much showing what every team has done wrong, what players have gotten in trouble, what things have the organization done wrong.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_01]: Pretty much trying to prove the Patriots are not the worst.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think Patriots were third on his list or something like that.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_01]: But he got to pick, it's kind of that, do you ever watch that show?
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: Who's line is it anyway?
- 8:59[SPEAKER_01]: Or they'd say, the points were made up.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_01]: Pretty much he got to pick which violations were the worst.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: And how many points got to be attached to him?
- 9:07[SPEAKER_01]: And Broncos, number one on his list.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_01]: I think Minnesota was number two in the Patriots were third.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_02]: Denver had a real run of DUIs for a while.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, but that era has passed, some of that era was fun with good football, but how it's good football hand for the most part Good citizens, so we'll take it The high ground of course, but yeah chiefs and off-field issues name a better duo.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_02]: I have one right now how about Mile High Huddle building the Broncos and our friends over at Shopify
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: That's where I guys, when we first started MHH, the merch store back in 2019, we weren't sure whether it was the right decision.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, everyone has thoughts like, what if no one buys anything or what if it fails?
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's never easy to overcome such uncertainty, but choosing to make the leap and launch the merch store was one of the best decisions MHH has made.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: When we're launching the MHH Merch Store, Shopify helped ease so many of those concerns with its expertise, helpful tools and easy to use platform.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_01]: We couldn't have succeeded without Shopify or your support.

- 11:05[SPEAKER_02]: We're getting good at those.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_02]: That was a fun one.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: I was good.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to throw up my shoulder here.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_02]: I did up her body today, so I don't want to go too hard.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'm talking about parties and BLEX test prep in here.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_02]: I'm here to party.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's great.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_02]: Good to hear.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry we were talking about the
- 11:23[SPEAKER_02]: You know, the goody two shoes that the Broncos have become.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how much party and no Chad Kelly's coming in with vacuum cleaners that are over the heck happened.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_02]: Oh man, it's funny to laugh at now.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_02]: Mike, yes, I was everyone doing.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_02]: I'm doing great and great and terrific.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_02]: Love it, Mike, hope you're doing well.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_02]: Curious how those crimson tight are going to be this year.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_02]: I got to be honest.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not keeping my thumb on the college football polls too much right now.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_02]: I would imagine.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: Texas and Ohio State are probably one and two, maybe Oregon with their quarterback coming back, as well.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_02]: God, Oregon's got some crazy players, but Oregon's always the, uh, beautiful one, but never cracks the true blue blood flested seems like Michael Runky, a good evening, Nick and Carl.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you saying hi to everybody.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you coming in.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_02]: Jordan Lewis, also one of our members along with Michael says evening, Nick and Carl and Broncos country.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_02]: Germain is in the house.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_02]: Hello, everyone.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_02]: Go Broncos.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_02]: Michael Monkius has heard the Broncos are working on a New Jersey combo in 2027.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_02]: I know that they did uniforms in a way that is the technical term would be modular, where there's different ways you can put them together that works.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe it's just shifting around how it all works.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sure.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we'll see.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, I mean, maybe it's a little bit old hat at this point, but I would love an all-white uniform for the Broncos.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, just cleats to helmet, everything white, I think would be sick.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_02]: Now, the helmet would still have to be, I think the navy one, I don't know, because you can only wear the rules, I thought, where you could only have one alternate helmet, and like the white sounds fun, don't get rid of the old school powder blue D, no sir.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I'm curious, so I love it, I'll send over your heart there.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_02]: Have you heard anything about this, Carl?
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: I have not, I mean, I wouldn't be shocked.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_01]: It seems like every few years are gonna have teams trying to change it up just a little bit because it's decent money coming in for them.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_01]: And if I remember right, Jersey sales goes directly to the team, it's not part of the split among NFL teams.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_01]: So that's a nice help and talk about nice help.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_01]: Shannon Mills coming in with a 99 99 super here is a good evening Nick Carl and Broncos country.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_01]: Just coming off the top rope for us here in this show.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much for that.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_01]: And just, again, no words to say for how much do you have supported us and it's just great to see you.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_02]: I have one word or as a two words, but as our friends over at Shopify would say, Chachin, thank you so much, Jim.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_02]: We appreciate you.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_02]: That's a big time, man.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_02]: Because you can get with the four four digits there.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_02]: So thank you so much.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_02]: Hope you're doing well.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_02]: Hope you're having a great May.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_02]: Hope you have some good Memorial Day plans.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_02]: It's always like conflicting.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_02]: Because like it is a holiday with family and stuff, but like remember and so the sacrifice.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_02]: So like balancing that, but maybe I'm growing out and spending some time with family.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't know Carl, you a, the answer is both, but given the choice, brought or hot dog.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like there's a few more things you can do with a brought, or you can get the cheese infused ones.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_01]: You can get the beer brats.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: You can, there's just a few more flavors.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like you can do with a brought than you can with a hot dog.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, being from the Midwest, Eastern Iowa, definitely had a lot of trips to Chicago with portillos.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_02]: You're on up if that means anything to you, Carl, but it's a hot dog, join in hot.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_02]: Chicago is like big about the hot dogs.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_02]: However, I can't remember what it's called.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_02]: Really famous hot dogs stand there.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_02]: They'll ask you to leave if you ask for ketchup.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_02]: So like a no catch up a lot.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_02]: We'll give you everything you possibly want, no catch up.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm definitely a Brock guy.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_02]: I love a good brought.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_02]: The bun makes like a world of difference.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously it was toasted and then sarcrout now.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_02]: My wife doesn't like that I like sarcrout because it's a problem two hours later sometimes.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_02]: I'll leave that to the imagination and I'm sorry Shannon, cover yours.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_02]: But got it, yeah, brought with sarcrout.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, so good.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_01]: See ya, I'm a relish guy.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_01]: Both, I love pickles, sour crowd.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm hitting this on it.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: It depends on how I'm feeling for the day.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_01]: And I just saw changing up top and just quick, but they put a Taco Bell in for airport now.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, God, so good luck to the baby for a flight.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly, that's the good, no.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_01]: Most famous hot dog I've ever eaten was the Pink's Hot Dog in Las Vegas.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: If you ever go to a chance, go eat that.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's like the hot dog for the famous people.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: They have one in LA, and they have one in Vegas.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_01]: And pretty much though, the Kim Kardashian hot dog combination, there was one time that she came in and got this crazy combination.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: And now you can order the Kim Kardashian.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to make no jokes about hot dogs and Kim Kardashian.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_02]: We're just going to move straight forward.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_02]: That's that's the path for me.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: Good.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my gosh, okay, I don't want to break any internet.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_02]: Pearl, good to see you.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_02]: New Corgi coming in June, see that's we're back on in good light here now.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks for letting us know if I'm going to blush.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_02]: Good to hear from you.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_02]: Hope you're doing well.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_02]: We got shades in here.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, oh, guys.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_02]: Shades.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what's going on with your picture.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_02]: God bless you.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_02]: It reminds me of, it's like South Park, integrity, farms or something.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_02]: Jackson, what's up, everyone?
- 17:03[SPEAKER_02]: Hope you have a great day.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_02]: Our guy, Shilo in the house, Heck yeah.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_02]: And all you guys, killing it is, it's been 19th, great to see you.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_02]: Papa Bear, good to see you at 134.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_02]: Roy, our dude, Chase Willner, at least new play color already in house apps, literally Todd Austin, Dorif, Daniel Barry sports, heck, man, just all of our friends fill it.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_02]: Come over next, it's good evening, everybody.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_02]: It was interesting reading the comments, bulls, about web, probably propaganda, but still I mean,
- 17:29[SPEAKER_02]: Bulls is a company guy and you love him for it and he's
- 17:34[SPEAKER_02]: heart, and I feel like he might be the outside of Bonax, maybe the face of the team to some extent, because he has been here for so long, and I just feel like he leads everything with heart.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, all the community stuff he does, the trials and tribulations, I mean, he's right or die Denver.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_02]: Actually, I can't, maybe I was talking with Roy on Twitter the other day.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think he just got up a needle jersey, and I said, like, I haven't gotten a jersey in a long time.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_02]: I typically only get the classics.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_02]: If I do get one,
- 18:02[SPEAKER_02]: I had to pick one right now.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_02]: I might pick Garibbles at 72.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_02]: He's just, he's been here for so long and he seems like a awesome guy.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if he saw the video other day, but he pulled over and helped some lady didn't know who he was, blew out a tire and came and changed your tire for her on her car.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_02]: So, shout out Garibbles.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: Man, it's been, this first three years, rough.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_02]: Some of us stood true, they were doubts, but love me some Garibbles.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: Who would you rank the link to two left tackle ranking?
- 18:36[SPEAKER_01]: Ryan Clayty, Garrett Bulls, who's one, who's two?
- 18:40[SPEAKER_02]: The question depends on peak versus career.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_02]: Because like Clayty, at his peak, was better.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_02]: But Bulls were going on 10 years.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_02]: Clayty, we had six years.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_02]: So again, peak versus entire career, I think that's two different questions with two different answers.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_02]: But love both, I mean, God poor Clayty, he was so good and he suffered.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_02]: That foot injury was a Liz Frank, Lyn's Frank.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_02]: I can't ever pronounce that one correctly, but he, not right.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_02]: After that, unfortunately, went up to the Jets and didn't do anything, but man.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_02]: I remember listening to that draft on the radio.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_02]: ESPN radio, that dates me driving down on my grandparents' link.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_02]: Offence a tackle.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_02]: Who would take that?
- 19:28[SPEAKER_02]: I was in the middle school or something.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: So shut up that wall in the house.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_02]: What do you have an answer, Carl?
- 19:37[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if I'm looking at their career, I'm taking bulls.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_01]: You write, if we're talking one year, what Clayty did?
- 19:43[SPEAKER_01]: His first three years, two years.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think he was second team all pro, his rookie season.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_01]: And first team all pro is second year, something like that.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_01]: I can't quite remember how it was.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it was just, it was crazy.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_01]: We're glad that young to come in and do that was pretty awesome to see.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: You're right.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: What if?
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: Because I also remember, didn't he get hurt playing basketball in the off season?
- 20:10[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think that happened.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's been it's been so long, but yeah,
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: has been the Brock or a die guy.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he really is, I pretty, pretty sure if the Brock was ever decided to move on from him, he would just retire.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he wants to go play for another team.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's one of those guys would be very happy if his family just lived and Denvered the rest of his life.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_01]: and got his kids grow up and stayed around the team.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_01]: And I wouldn't even mind a back as some kind of coach or at least something connected to the team.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I don't know if you'd be the best coach or anything like that, but you've also got to see the path of his growth, too, where his game really has gone from athletic, but rock head to very technically sound.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_01]: does well to recover, keeps his feet underneath them, and all those things that you want to see from a left tackle.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: So I think he would be good to work with some of the younger players too.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't know, I just, I want him connected to the organization moving forward.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_02]: And I guess Bulls had an interview on with a gosh singing his praises, but a K Adams potentially.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know, I haven't seen it yet.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_02]: Boston here tomorrow gonna have some lobster rolls excited for that, but good to see Paul in here as well.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Liz Frank the I can never I can never get that one.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_02]: Also, I always mixed up somebody gets hurt and it was the ACL or Achilles good luck.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I know that I obviously know there are two different things, but like they're both A in my heads like with it was one I'm going to think it's both.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_02]: Liz Frank, thank you so much to our resident.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_02]: Physiologist.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_02]: We'll go a physiologist on that.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you, Shiloh, and appreciate it.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_02]: He has Liz Frank.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_02]: Man, well, I always would like to, you know, play garables.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_02]: He's my guy and, you know, if I would put my chips behind him and all that, but Todd says his dogs are
- 22:27[SPEAKER_02]: We also got a super chat coming in from George Fox.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you, George.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_02]: I recognize the name.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_02]: You're the one with the awesome L-way picture that we've seen.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_02]: We got to get you over on YouTube, getting that same iconic L-way coming out of the tunnel in the snow.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_02]: And yes, sports character, official title.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_02]: There we go.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't want to misattribute you in any way.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_02]: So there we go.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_02]: This Frank, don't like her.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_02]: Don't like her.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_02]: Except when we need her.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_02]: But I'll just get into it, Carl.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_02]: Most important Denver Broncos are 2026.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna set the table here with this.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you saw the text messages between Chad and myself, but Bonyx is excluded.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_02]: We can talk about it a little bit here just to get started, but like, he's the freaking quarterback.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_02]: He's started the last two seasons slow, but
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: You know, a third of the way through the seasons or the two third and three third segments of the season if you're cut into thirds was pretty great.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_02]: Last season, especially, I thought personally, you know me, JK Dobbins going down, gonna be bonus now.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_02]: Uh-oh, like the threat he was, Dobbins was playing so well.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_02]: Bonus rose to the occasion.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_02]: And he really did it in the playoffs as well.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that game against the bills, like you can talk about the Falcons game his rookie season, sorry Scott, or maybe that buck in the years game.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_02]: There are some games, obviously like maybe statistically might have been better.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_02]: But not with the stakes as high as they were, and just like the big boy, this is my team, I'm taking over moments that he had.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_02]: So I got some one-game sample size.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_02]: I don't expect that to be the baseline.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I don't know, if that's his baseline is a Hall of Famer, but that's he was awesome in that game and he's definitely the most important player and I'm very excited to see what he does this season.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think the other thing that adds to it is the fact that the bills had one of the best past defences in football last year.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_01]: The way to beat them was through running the football.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_01]: And yet, Broncos had no run game.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_01]: Bill and Nick still went out there and dominated the way that he did.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: So, I think that was incredible to see.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think if I'm going to pick my first player, I'm going to stick with our, I'm going to go with our new guy, Jalen Waterle.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_01]: You just gave up a first, a third, and a fourth.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I know you got a fourth back, but so really a first and a third to get this guy.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_01]: And he's supposed to be that dynamic weapon that completely opens up the entire offense.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_01]: He's got to be that.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's got to go out there and nothing gets sudden, but I do think Waddle has to be our best receiver on this team.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_01]: If we're really going to be that team that goes to the Super Bowl and it has a chance, I love Sutton.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_01]: I like what we have at the White Receiver Corps, but Jail of Wattle, he's just that guy that can completely change a game.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_01]: If he can be that player, then opens up the run game, it makes both mixes life much easier, Davis Webb.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_01]: Now all Sutton has an easy job as a play
- 25:45[SPEAKER_01]: And our hands, you know, it just completely changes everything.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, you get that offense kicking, then defense, man, if they could start playing with bigger leads, I can imagine what that past rush could do.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_01]: When we don't have to guess, are they running?
- 26:02[SPEAKER_01]: Are they passing?
- 26:03[SPEAKER_01]: No, they're down 10 points.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: They've got to pass.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I think Jail and Water could be a really big part of why that happens.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_02]: I'm excited.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_02]: I do think that because water is the shiny new thing and what Denver gave up, maybe we're sleeping on the talent that is already here, set to some extent.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Sutton is still a top 30 receiver and a top 15 X in my book and he's going to play a very important role in helping uncover water.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_02]: Like water was doing a lot of X stuff from Miami last year.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_02]: not ideal for his frame and his ability can do it, but not ideal.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_02]: So excited to see what Sutton does, and also you're too a Pat Bryant.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, before he went down with that last concussion, I mean, the entire playbook game plan seemed to be we're going to do everything we can to ISO Pat Bryant get him the ball.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_02]: But with all that said, I think you're right,
- 27:02[SPEAKER_02]: They're kind of staying course while the rest of the league is zagging maybe when Deborah looks to be way more 11 personnel.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_02]: Heavy, maybe even some 10 with the heavy and the wide receivers in the tight ends.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_02]: Not so good on favor.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_02]: So the rest of the league going in different direction got to be effective against dime and nickel and sub and all that on early downs.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_02]: But we'll see what that means for them.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, Water, he's definitely the one who
- 27:29[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's the most obvious one.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, not discrediting you on this, like, the most important thing, I figured we'd start working our way down.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_02]: You have to.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_02]: So there were two obvious ones.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_02]: I'll get to the other one here in a second.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, while I mean, getting the wide receiver room was talented and deep, but you were banking on leaps.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_02]: from one, if not more, a Franklin, MIMS, and Brian, and that also comes with health and not dropping the football.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_02]: And a lot of just brings a little bit more and a little bit a lot more of a known quantity.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm really excited to see what he can do this year.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_02]: He's definitely important.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_02]: I do think Denver has the depth where they get it.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, what is it called, whether a storm, uh, if a lot of, you know, had a hamstring or something and missed a few weeks, as it stands right now with how they are lined up with a wide receiver room without any trades at this point, but uh, you know, he's, he's super important and he just changes the complexion of the offense.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I like I would.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_02]: I love to be a team that's even a little bit more bully on the offensive line and could run 12 personnel with tightens that
- 28:42[SPEAKER_02]: doesn't really seem like that's going to be the make up of this team this season.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm with you.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_01]: I guess I do remember last year when we saw memes go down for four games, that was probably the worst our offense looked when he was down.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: And then you think about, like I said, Bryant, when he went down with injury, it really changed how they could play offensively.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, what kind of plays they were trying to call, I think of, even in that playoff game, against the bills.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_01]: A little Jordan Humphrey was running some of his routes.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_01]: And he had the bad drop that would have been, it should have been attached down, where I think obviously a Pat Bryant said there, I feel pretty good that he makes that catch.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_01]: or a little Jordan Humphrey props that.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_01]: And so I do like this is now moved everybody down just one more spot.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I'm excited for Bright.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_01]: I really am wanting to see his second here.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know if you saw this, Chase Walther brings it up that Brian would cook Devon Weather Spoon and practice.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos, I guess, before they drafted Pat Bryant, they wanted to keep it hush, how much they liked him.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_01]: But they wanted to cut ups from practice, only the plays were he faced with her student one-on-one, and just to see how to de-handle that.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_01]: And he did really well on those steps.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_01]: And that was a big part of why the Broncos are like, yep, this is our guy.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_01]: This is the receiver that we want for this offense.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's pretty awesome.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos really turning every stone to make sure they know every little detail they can about players that are coming in.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, that's, that is really cool.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_02]: I'd hear excited to see what Brian does this season.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_02]: Got to say healthy.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_02]: Those concussions are scary, but I don't know.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_02]: So I mean, got to take care of yourself.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_02]: And none of them really seem to be his fault, like plan super reckless, just unfortunate.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_02]: So for me, the one who seems pretty obvious also,
- 30:53[SPEAKER_02]: Jickie Dobbins, again, this is crazy for me to say running back in my big picture.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_02]: You want your offensive line and offensive system where you can kind of plug and play, running back, but in doing a Coleman definitely raises the floor of that room, but Dobbins was so awesome last season, and we are in a one year window.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_02]: And a one year window, running back obviously very valuable.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_02]: And with Dobbins, injury history,
- 31:20[SPEAKER_02]: just propensity of missing games.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_02]: I think he has to be elevated here as being important, just because he is that talented.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_02]: So, again, I think that we're running backs, 11 personal heavy.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_02]: your tight ends, slash full back, are not gonna force teams into single high or have your boxes.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_02]: Your running backs can, in theory, and that starts with Dobbins.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_02]: So, him stay in healthy, beat a little bit more balanced on the ground game offering the efficiency that Harvey didn't come close to bringing last season.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_02]: So, I'm gonna have to go with Dobbins here for my next one.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_02]: And Carl, I'm gonna,
- 31:59[SPEAKER_02]: cheat.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to give you a chance to respond, but I'm going to do the one after this as well.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to snake this because I have another one here that I think you might not take, but I'm going to be I'd have to end the show if you took him.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm going to do respond on Dobbins if you think that if he was the next obvious one that you were thinking of.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's definitely up there on my list.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's a little bit mitigated by the drafting of the journal Coleman.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_01]: So, you're right, Dobbins, when he is healthy, I feel comfortable saying he was a top five running back last year when he was healthy.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he was top five and rushing yards, top five and yards per carry.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it was efficiency as a blocker, is ability as a receiving running back, all of that.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think overall, made him be in that kind of category of top five.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_01]: and just his ability to work with the offense of mine.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_01]: It was crazy to see the difference between him and Arjay Harvey, when they would have to try to come in and make a play or any of the other guys biday or McLaughlin or whatever, just his vision.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_01]: His ability to see exactly where the hole is gonna open up and get to, I guess the best way to say, it's maximize every carry.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_01]: The reason he has such a high yards per carry isn't because he's breaking off these really long runs is because he's getting positive yards pretty much every single time.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_01]: And when you can do that, it really makes a huge difference on how the entire offense functions after that, where you're not being in these third and long situations very often.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: So no, I agree, I think he is a very, very valuable part of this offense and really the team in general.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so who's your next one?
- 33:53[SPEAKER_02]: I do want to say a little more people in here before he won.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_02]: Michael with $5 super chats and Broncos will work out a new alternate Broncos jersey in 27.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_02]: We talked about earlier, but I have to acknowledge $5 super chat as well.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, excited to see what I can do.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, all navy, I'm just hoping for the all white.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe a white helmet too.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if they've changed the rules with helmets and shells and everything, but I can all white would be my move personally.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_01]: And I think I saw earlier, he said it's on the Denver Broncos Wikipedia page.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yeah, shout out to Wikipedia.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_02]: But the, I will see, Jared's stock coming in here.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_02]: So let's all go up.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_02]: You all receive, of course, free can legit.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_02]: Waddle, MIMS will break the lid off games.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_02]: Heck yeah, depth of strength of team, Waddle, Sutton, Franklin Bryant, MIMS in that order.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_02]: Gosh, there's some game plan, though depth of the wide receiver and it's to somewhat running back room definitely helps mitigate a little bit of tight end can't be all pros all over the place got our guy TW coming in talking about twenty twenty seven draft for the wide receivers looks good at edge and offensive tackle at the top two I don't expect Denver to be picking up there but we'll see and my next guy Carl as far as most important.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there's obviously like the superstars and everything.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just trying to think like, roster wise, filling in and stepping up.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna go Zach Allen.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_02]: Why is Zach Allen?
- 35:20[SPEAKER_02]: You lost JFM and you have very much unknowns at your three four defense event outside of him.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_02]: On yet him, we'll see.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_02]: CVN Jones, we'll see Zach Allen has been an absolute workforce, all pro, pro ball caliber player.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_02]: He is already was so important for this team, but now he's gonna have to take up some of the impact slack that I think you have the losing John Franklin Myers.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm gonna go Zach Allen next in this one.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's super important this season.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_02]: I agree he's not gonna be able to play that.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_02]: What was it two years ago?
- 35:55[SPEAKER_02]: 92% of the snaps.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_02]: Stupid.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_02]: Um, should not do that.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_02]: Especially because Denver, I think is one of the highest snap count teams in football last season.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_02]: So it's not only the highest proportion, but like the snaps is just way over everybody else.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, but losing JFM, I think amplifies how important talent is.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_02]: Allen is for this team.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I was thinking about this the other day, actually, not that I think Zach Allen's a better player than Patrick's or Tan.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_01]: I know they play two
- 36:25[SPEAKER_01]: but I feel like the Broncos could weather, losing certain more than they could Zach Allen this year.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_01]: You're right, I think because you lost JFM and you don't know, maybe one of those guys behind him steps up and becomes much more than we thought they were gonna be.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe our rookie on Yetham just lights the league on fire.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_01]: We're going, JFM who, that'd be great.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_01]: But there's a lot more unknown at that position compared to cornerback, where we saw last year.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_01]: The team was able to weather even to TAN being gone for a few games.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_01]: Now, losing for the season, that's a different conversation.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: But no, I think Zach, on your right, just the value he brings, he should get a lot more attention around the league than he does.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_01]: The work he does, I think he averages over two quarterback hits
- 37:22[SPEAKER_01]: And that's not talking just pressure in general of what he does, but me, that there's different levels of the pressure, you know, obviously getting a hurry on a quarterback is great, but getting a hit on a quarterback and it being legal.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_01]: That just makes that quarterback think about it that much more, and especially a guy being that much closer to the quarterback and they're right in their face and just thinking, oh crap, this guy could get through it any second and make a play on me.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_01]: It just makes them get a little tick faster than they really would be.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm thinking of patched my homes week one.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_01]: Having a guy like Zach Allen out there, that's going to make him a little bit nervous with the need that he's not for sure able to fully trust at this point.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_01]: Can I escape?
- 38:07[SPEAKER_01]: Can I get around this guy?
- 38:11[SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah, I think he has to be up there on most important Denver Broncos for sure.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean,
- 38:19[SPEAKER_01]: My next one would be a pretty easy choice as well, I think just because I don't know if we have, I don't think we have a great backup for him if he ever went down and I mean, we're talking about it earlier, but Garrett bulls.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, all pro left tackle, how do you, how do you replace that level of talent and and bonus coming off of injury, he's got to be able to trust that his offensive lines can hold up and.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the the five guys being together again for this year, I think it's going to be huge for this team.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think people realize how big it is and how how rare it is to have all five of your offensive I'm going to back from the year before.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I know Ben Powers didn't play very much last year, but still just having that level of consistency and those guys know how to communicate takes pressure off the next to have to figure out everything that's going on the field.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_01]: and then just his ability to trust.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, yep, I know.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not gonna get hit from behind right now.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_01]: I know that my guy Garrett Bulls is gonna hold up, but I just don't know what we have behind him.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I know Crum is there, but he might be a better tie-in than he is left tackle.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know yet.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he did more probably at, at, I did than he did at tackle.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_01]: but I really don't want to find out.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, without a doubt, it goes bulls as a great call out, similarly to Miglenti just because the depth it off in the tackle is pretty much an unknown.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_02]: You may be of Cage case, he could kick out there.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_02]: You still have Matt Pairt, Lord knows with Frank Crum, but I think Crum's a little more comfortable, right tackle.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_02]: So bulls is a great call out there.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_02]: Hike my next one.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_02]: I'll just be super basic, unless you want to go back to back, but I mean, you have depth at corner back, but you don't have sertans if you're on off a tree and granted, he wasn't defensive player the year last season.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_02]: And I think there was some players at corner back who potentially closed the gap.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, just the reality of corner back, I've said it on here before, I think people, I just imagine people putting their fingers in their ears with it, but cornerbacks, don't tend to age gracefully so we're in like the prime,
- 40:43[SPEAKER_02]: right now.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you look at back at the last 15 years of all pro cornerbacks.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_02]: Not many of them are multiple years and other second contract.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm very much a young man's position.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_02]: Once they had 25, 26 cornerbacks and tough one.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_02]: So reactionary out there in space, but Surtan is a great athlete and so technically sound and
- 41:06[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe players like Mitchell, Gonzalez, Stingley climbed up into his tier last season, but you're two years pretty volatile.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_02]: Also, so another thing that's important to him maintaining form, it's really a soccer position without the age and the space to the play and the fluidity and the body types you're looking for there.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_02]: But I think you have to say, Sertan is up there being extremely important.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_02]: Even though you have depth,
- 41:32[SPEAKER_02]: He's the straw that serves the drink up front.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's the depth across the defensive line and then having certain with maybe another player.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_02]: That's really important for this team.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm with you.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think, I remember at last year, the Broncos had the most naps of man coverage of any team in football.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: And if I remember right, Sir Tan,
- 41:55[SPEAKER_01]: in the games that he played, percentage wise, the number of snaps that he followed, the number one wide receiver, wherever they went.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I think he was number one in that category as well.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_01]: So the fact that you can trust this guy, go against the best wide receivers in football, hold up one on one and feel really good about that matchup that you're going to be the team that comes out on top, most of the time.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_01]: There's maybe,
- 42:23[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, two or three other cornerbacks that you could maybe put in that kind of category that you would trust to do that.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I don't know, mainly I would maybe put in that category.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think I've picked in all of a sudden.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_01]: That yeah, I mean, very talented.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_01]: He is talented.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_01]: Don't get me wrong, but I do think he is that notch below.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_01]: And it makes me mad that right now on Madden ride ratings, he's actually at 98 in Sir Tans of 97.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't know, it's me if you are a defensive player of the year, you should be at 99 the next year on Madden.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's a whole different conversation.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_01]: So he is, he's such a great player.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_01]: just play in play out.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_01]: You know what you're getting every single time from him.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to worry about him messing up and being the reason that you have a coverage blown or something happens.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_01]: He's gonna be right place right time every single time.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah, I agree.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think he should definitely be on that list and most important.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, there's so many names that we could put on here.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I guess my next one would be Hufanga.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_01]: just what he brought to this defense last year.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_01]: His ability to come down, help in the run game, drop back and coverage, be an enforcer.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_01]: He's smart.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_01]: You don't see him miss many tackles.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_01]: The only thing you could say that's against him is he might have bricks for hands when it's trying to catch football.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe that'll maybe come even out this season.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I hope so.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_01]: I hope he spent the entire offseason just with a jugs machine boom, catch, catch, listen in to Sean Peyton talk about, make sure your thumbs are together when you're trying to catch, not your pinkies, whatever, all those kind of conversations.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_01]: But I mean, he should have led the
- 44:22[SPEAKER_01]: that's how many times he was around the football hands on the ball last year.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_01]: It was just it was crazy watching him play.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_01]: And like I said, if he could just catch even half of those, how much that would change the the entire outlook of the defense.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's already a great defense, but if you can start adding turnovers to it, oh my goodness.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_01]: Then we're talking, for sure, top two competing with Houston and Seattle for that top spot.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'd put up about four or five right now, but I think if you start getting turnovers with the past rush, yeah, it could become just laughable.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_01]: How good this deepens is.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_02]: Man, I think there's only one more player that I have that I think is worth giving a shout out to.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_02]: take a massive step.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_02]: We've done that show, you know, save you on, don't get them.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_02]: Q Robinson, Judi Barron.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, anybody, the rookie draft class last year, two years, dropped the even the last three years.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_02]: Name it, I had John Ellis.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see what he does at linebacker this season.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_02]: Most important, though, those are like bonuses, right?
- 45:32[SPEAKER_02]: You're like playing Yatsi.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_02]: If we were all something big, I'm one of those that would be awesome.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_02]: But I think the next one, in the final one for me,
- 45:44[SPEAKER_02]: because the edge room is good.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if it's necessarily great.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_02]: Cooper sort of hot two years ago, sort of hot last season.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_02]: And then I think the game against the Patriots was like first sack and since the first week of October or something to me, just not a lot of impact from Cooper a good leader does a job.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_02]: not a plus player in my book, Benito is.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_02]: As far as the getting out to the quarterback, the pressure is the sacs.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_02]: Now Granthier has got a lot of one on one's.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of that's because you have certain, so you can be a little bit more aggressive with how you dial up those one-on-one's across the line and shout out the banster of stuff for what he does there as well.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_02]: But Benito has been a much higher consistent player and if he has, as Shiala points out, a little bit of fall off the last four games, I feel like the pressure's still been there
- 46:41[SPEAKER_02]: little bit more invisible.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, perfectly.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_02]: So I think Benito is the next most important down.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_02]: I'm really excited to see what Curaubanson does this season.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_02]: What's the role for Jonah Ellis, year three in the system in the NFL for Tilman.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_02]: But I mean, the front, the talent of the front, it's depth, you have some good depth now, the nose tackles you will.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_02]: Roach and Jones and everything, but it's Allen and Benito, those are your pollbolas, those are your all
- 47:11[SPEAKER_02]: You have to give Benito a shout out he needs to maintain that form and he did drop off from that Gosh, what was the first six weeks of the year like on-paste to break the sack record that was always probable to drop off but yeah got he's so important because I just I like Cooper I think he's a great leader a good interview good run defender despite his size Just does not have that juice man.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know just it's Doesn't bring it for me does it bring the same level up pop um so
- 47:41[SPEAKER_02]: I'll go with Benito for that next one and my final one there.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_01]: No, that's a great choice.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you're right.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_01]: He is that guy with one play can change the entire game.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_01]: He has that ability to get around the edge, get the sack.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see more strip sacks from him.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't seem to get a whole lot.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_01]: They're at the end of the season.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_01]: He finally got a couple of them, which was great to see.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_01]: But it just took a little bit to get that going.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_01]: Once you're John the Cooper, he's decent, but it does seem like if he doesn't get a sack for a few weeks, it's almost like he goes in the panic mode.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_01]: And then teams can really catch him out of position.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_01]: where he tries to jump inside when he wasn't supposed to jump inside.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_01]: And all of a sudden leads that nice lane for a run play.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_01]: And it's almost like teams plan on that.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay, watch John the Cooper and make this mistake.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_01]: He can do that.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_01]: Now, if you can play like you did against Patriots, that'd be great.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'd love to see that.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_01]: Keep that up.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_01]: And but it does seem like the entire past rush, really.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's almost like they got worn out the last few weeks of the year.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe get that by week for the playoffs, got them a little bit rested up.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_01]: They were able to go pretty good against the bills.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: Bill's were able to run, but past Rush X has still got home quite a bit.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_01]: And then you get to the Patriots game, past Rush was getting home.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_01]: We just didn't have any kind of offense that could do anything.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_01]: We got QBE, easy coming and saying, hey, everybody, good to see as well.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah, I mean, Bonito, I say,
- 49:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'd say game-changing place.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_01]: The other guys are that we talked about, who Funga and Sertan and Zach Allen.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_01]: They're very consistent and what they bring weekend, week out.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_01]: But Bonito, he's that guy that when you need that play, he's Von Miller used to be able to do that for us.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_01]: Get to the fourth quarter, close game.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm thinking of, I think it was in the playoffs against the Steelers.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_01]: And you need a sack.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_01]: They were driving to go kick a fuel goal to send it in over time or something like that.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_01]: And here comes Vaughn Miller with a big sack.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_01]: That's what Benito can do.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_01]: And so I'm with, yeah, my last guy that I'll give here.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think I'll go, I'll go singleton.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_02]: man.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_01]: Interesting.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_01]: Just that linebacker position.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_01]: We don't need a ton from it.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you still need something.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_01]: But he's reaching that age now where you start worrying about the decline.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'd say he has to maintain at least what he was last year.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_01]: If not maybe a little bit more.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see
- 50:48[SPEAKER_01]: There were still those plays with like the, there's still meat on the bone.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_01]: Back goes that he missed run lanes that he left open coverage things that he just wasn't quite where he was supposed to be.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, we could say about every player there's going to be a few if we go back and nitpick every play, but there's just a few of them that really stick.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think of the Colts game.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_01]: Now.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_01]: Jonathan, there running back is going to make a few people look silly, so it's not just singleton, don't get me wrong.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_01]: But there's a couple times where it was singleton versus Jonathan and singleton lost.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_01]: Over and over again, it turned into instead of keeping it to a five-yard play, it turned into a 50-yard play.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_01]: And of course, it's one of the games we lost.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_01]: So I just, that kind of thing.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_01]: And he's usually the captain of the team.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_01]: He's the green dot guy.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_01]: I just, you got to expect a lot from that kind of guy on the field.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I see a little bit of good call out.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_02]: I thought the next two, the honorable mention for me would kind of touch on him.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_02]: They got beat out by players the same position, but it would be Maglintree and Coral and Sutton.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and because X still a top 30 wide receiver in my book in lintree because you don't know about the depth and it's such a premium position for them, but after that, I mean, it's really talented roster.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_02]: I like the shout out for somebody out here says, Krasha, I don't know where there it was.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_02]: Got the name wrong, but that's okay, Todd.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_02]: Krasha, shout out to the puncher as well.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_02]: So, and yeah, we got to feel it coming to Scott admit, I really thought that we made a mistake with Benito, so glad I was wrong.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_02]: Benito has been awesome, and I think he deserves a shout out there.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_02]: So, there you have it, folks.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_02]: Our most important players for 2026, I mean, really kind of think that first three is probably the three to go with in my opinion.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_02]: Would you, would you rank those first three to three as well?
- 52:38[SPEAKER_02]: Who is your fourth player?
- 52:40[SPEAKER_02]: Because I went and satan at the fifth one.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_02]: Who did you say after?
- 52:43[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you said, just so I said, bulls, you said, you said bulls.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, really, I mean the first five, six, seven, eight, not enough.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_02]: No jokes or Carl, but yeah, a lot of fun to talk about this kind of people that look at the roster a bit and just think about the one season microcosm.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_02]: That's coming up here and a team that is
- 53:07[SPEAKER_02]: gosh expectations are the ceiling above the ceiling sky high.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_01]: So I will see how our rankings on Fox.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was Fox sports.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos were ranked as the number one team in an NFL.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I wouldn't call them a superpower team, but they definitely are in the top in my book,
- 53:38[SPEAKER_02]: comes down to, I don't know what's going on here.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_02]: Diagnosis.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_02]: Diagnosis cancer today, Biggie.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's what you're saying there, then thoughts to you, buddy.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_02]: Turn it.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_02]: It's hard to hear it, a lot of research and everything about that pearl saying a two-time cancer survivor, as well as hopefully it is a,
- 54:06[SPEAKER_02]: grade and type of cancer that is a treatable for you.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_02]: But thanks for coming in and sharing with us here with the heavy heart as we wrap up the show.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_02]: But man, yeah, that's a, that's a, that's stinks, man.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, little thinking of you.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully, hopefully, hopefully, things yeah, needs everybody to pray for me.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_02]: Got answer back today.
