- 0:02SPEAKER_00: All right, shall we get
- 0:03SPEAKER_01: started?
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: Oh, shut my note.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: Oops, guess not.
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: No, you can get started.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: All right, let's get started.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: This is The Opinionated Ogre Podcast,
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: your weekly rampage to current events with a little snark,
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: a bit of foul language, and a lot of strong opinions.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: There are new episodes every Thursday,
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: and you're not safe for work or polite company of any kind whatsoever.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: I am your podcast host, The Opinionated Ogre, and this is my co-host, Florida Woman.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: Hello, Florida Woman.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: How are you this week?
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: Good morning, everybody.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: I am doing well.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: My butt hurts right now, but that's it.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: Hey, hey, hey, this is a family-friendly podcast.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: I was weeding yesterday and I was squatting and,
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: you know, it's just my body's not built to hold this much weight up anymore.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: The
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: glutes got to work out.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they're like, whoa, we're not used to squatting with all that.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Well, I just want to let everyone know that it's my sad duty to inform everyone
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: that Donald Trump says the polls are fake.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: So I guess that's it.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: The blue wave is canceled.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: Sorry, everyone.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: Just pack it up.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: Go home.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: There's no point in voting.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: If you can't trust a dying pedophile,
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: dying pedophile rapist with 37 felonies and severe dementia, I mean, who...
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: Can you trust?
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: So, yeah, that's it, man.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: It's over.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: That's it.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: There's no point in even voting.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: Well, that's so unfortunate and so sad.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: Because you know he's definitely not lying about that.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: Definitely never.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: It's really true.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: Not him.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: He would never lie to us.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: There's no way.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: He's definitely on the level.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: Anyway, this is the recording for October 1st, 2026.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: It's the official start of spooky season.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: And we have a lot to get to on episode 116 of the Ogpod.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: Are we ready to do this?
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: Fuck yeah, we are.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: Woo!
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: All right, then let's get to it.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: It's time for the Oganasia News Update.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: Meow.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: Woof!
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: We're doing something a little different today.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: Today, we're going to take some current events for our main stories and roll them out.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: We are actually terrible at predicting the future here at the Ogpod.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: So far, only nine of our 10 predictions for 2026 have come true.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: And my personal prediction from back in 2019 that the Alt-Left would go
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: to absolute scorched earth war against Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: Took seven years to happen, so clearly we suck at predicting the future.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: You definitely should not listen to anything we have to say.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: So anyway...
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Here's what's going on.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: In just less than six weeks,
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: Republicans are going to get absolutely fucking destroyed in a blue wave so large,
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: even the New York fucking Times will not be able to We're going to spin a story
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: about how it wasn't that big a deal like they tried to do back in 2018.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: Remember,
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: back in 2018,
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: the Legacy Press spent a full month,
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: actually, it might have been longer, but they put a lot of money.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: That wasn't a wave.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: That wasn't a blue wave, according to the legacy press.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: The Senate map was super hostile and Democrats lost a couple of seats.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: So therefore, it wasn't the blue wave, despite Republicans getting slaughtered every place else.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: That's not going to happen this time.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: They're going to lose,
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: Republicans are going to lose the House,
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: and they're almost certainly going to lose the Senate,
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: and they're going to get annihilated in state houses and governorships
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: and statewide house races all over the country.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: It's going to be a bloodbath.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: So with Democrats in control of the Senate and the House,
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: never mind everything else, what's going to happen?
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: Well, first,
- 4:16SPEAKER_01: Democrats are going to open investigations into every fucking thing
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: and every fucking one.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: They're going to investigate Trump's newfound billions in crypto wealth,
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: Trump's abuse of the DOJ to persecute his political enemies,
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: Trump's gutting of the federal government,
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: Trump's taking bribes in exchange for pardons,
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: companies that have bribed Trump to get government contracts,
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: you know, maybe sucking up to fascism wasn't a winning move, CEOs.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: Who would have thought?
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: Trump's theft of taxpayer money to build monuments to himself,
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: Stephen Miller's murderous Gestapo,
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: the concentration camps, and the for-profit companies running them.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: You know, because maybe raking in billions to torture human beings wasn't a winning move, CEOs.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: Who would have thought?
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: The Trump family corruption.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: Bribes from foreign countries to influence US policy.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: What the fuck is a drunken Hegseth doing firing all of the highly qualified ranking officers?
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: Republicans might actually join Democrats on this because Hegseth is very, very unpopular.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: I would actually be surprised if Hegseth makes it into the new year.
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: And what the fuck is a drunken Hegseth doing in Iran and why is he abusing our military?
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: Hey, guess who will have the legal right to demand access to the Epstein files?
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: And will that be working nonstop to protect Republican pedophiles?
- 5:39SPEAKER_01: And this isn't even a comprehensive list.
- 5:41SPEAKER_01: Democrats are working with outside law groups to coordinate their investigations
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: and make them as focused and damaging as possible,
- 5:48SPEAKER_01: which is incredibly important because they don't want
- 5:51SPEAKER_01: to end up like Republican probes.
- 5:54SPEAKER_01: They will almost certainly impeach a bunch of cabinet members, but almost certainly not Trump.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: And why is that?
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: Because Republicans will not convict and remove him.
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: We already saw that in the last two impeachments.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: And that was when they wanted to get rid of him.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: The second time they wanted to get rid of him.
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: They wanted to get rid of him and they still
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: wouldn't do it.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: Trump wants to be the victim.
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: It will allow him to rally his base as a martyr, and it won't accomplish anything anyways.
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: Better to humiliate him and let him spin out of control
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: because he cannot tolerate being challenged.
- 6:27SPEAKER_01: If Democrats really wanted to trigger him,
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: they would put mostly women and minorities in charge of the investigations
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: and let Trump lose his fucking mind,
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: spewing hate at the top of his lungs for two years.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: That's what I think will happen.
- 6:42SPEAKER_01: Hopefully, if we have any brains.
- 6:45SPEAKER_01: Come on.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: Hopefully.
- 6:48SPEAKER_01: And while Democrats won't impeach Trump,
- 6:50SPEAKER_01: they may impeach certain cabinet members, like drunk Pete Hegseth.
- 6:55SPEAKER_01: They even might succeed in removing some of them with the help of the GOP.
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: Again, we're looking at you, Petey.
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: You too, Kash Patel.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: You know, with his cash dollar sign.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: Liquor bottles.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: So embarrassing.
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: Everyone knows their clowns are doing enormous damage to the institutions.
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: Even Republicans would prefer not be set on fire.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: It's not clear that Republicans are going to circle the wagons to defend all
- 7:23SPEAKER_01: of Trump's people,
- 7:24SPEAKER_01: especially when Trump is a lame duck loser president who just cost them control
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: of Congress,
- 7:29SPEAKER_01: several governorships,
- 7:31SPEAKER_01: God knows how many vital statewide offices,
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: and control of multiple statewide legislative chambers.
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: Now, Dr.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: Eric Lovello here in our audience says,
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: all the investigations aren't going to do shit until there's a new administration
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: with a new DOJ, FBI director, et cetera.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: Well, yes and no, right?
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: Now, part of this is they are almost certainly going to try to impeach cabinet members.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: And getting some of these people out of there will be very, very good for the country.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: Like Pete Hegseth is doing enormous damage to the military, right?
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: And putting someone else in there who is more competent would be helpful to Trump.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: But it's too late for anyone to get in there and turn the military into
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: the white nationalist weapon Trump wants the military to be.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: It's not going to happen.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: And Pete Hegseth just isn't going to be able to pull this off.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: He is, however, doing immense damage to our military.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: Just on a personnel level and the way he's just conducting this war in Iran,
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: he's hurting our military and he's getting our people killed.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: So getting him out of there would be a net benefit to And Republicans,
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: like we just said, may help do that because they know he's dangerous.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: Never mind the whole,
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: you know, he's a white nationalist and he's helping Trump and he's a bootlicker.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: He's just dangerous to Americans.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: So, these investigations may help get out some of these people who are just hurting
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: the United States in the
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: So, yeah.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: The investigations won't necessarily,
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: they will not result in any arrests yet,
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: but it will slow everything down and it will expose the corruption to the public.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: And just, I mean,
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: When you think about everything that we know now,
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: all the corruption we know of now,
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: how much more will be revealed if someone in Congress with subpoena power says,
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: hey, what else have you been doing that you're not supposed to do?
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: People really,
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: even Republicans,
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: really do not like the amount of corruption in our government right now.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: And it's all being done by the administration,
- 10:13SPEAKER_00: by this regime of Republican fucking scumbag fascists.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: They're not going to want to know how much more money has just been disappearing.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: Where is it going?
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: What have they been doing?
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: So, yeah, these investigations will have a purpose.
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: Other than just slowing everything,
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: all of the authoritarian power grabs down,
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: it will expose it to the public and it will piss them off.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: Now, what happens when Democrats take power away from the diapered,
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: dying, dementia dipshit in D.C.?
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: Aside from all the investigations,
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: which is going to infuriate him,
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: Trump will lash out in a blind rage,
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: just like all entitled white men do when someone tells them no.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: He's going to spend the next two years trying to burn it all down in
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: a nonstop temper tantrum as the economy gets worse.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: Right now, we have no way out of Iran.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: Trump He cannot sign a deal that concedes anything at all to Iran
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: or he'll be admitting he lost.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: He just threw away another deal.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: Like Iran said, hey, we have a deal for you.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: We'll open the Strait of Hormuz.
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: And he said no, because.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: He had to concede, Saf.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: We lost.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: He has to give up something to Iran because we lost.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: They have all the leverage right now, but he won't, so he's trapped.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: Therefore, Iran will continue.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: And I don't know if they're even going to try.
- 12:23SPEAKER_00: They're going to give a trillion dollar bailout to Silicon Valley because Trump has,
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: I think, like 33% of his stocks are in crypto.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: Not his stocks isn't crypto,
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: but 33% of his money investments are in crypto and Silicon Valley stocks.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: He's going to push the government.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: He's going to order them to give Silicon Valley the money.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: And it's going to be wildly unpopular with everyone, including Magdalene.
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: And Trump has made the U.S.
- 12:56SPEAKER_00: dollar, you know, everything he's done has made the U.S. dollar toxic.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: So we're not going to be able to rely on foreign investments forever.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: And we really haven't begun to feel the impact of that yet.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: We're starting to and people don't really understand how bad that's going to be.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: Republicans are going to be looking to blame anyone but themselves.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: And it's going to be a fucking disaster when we We can't borrow money to pay for all
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: of our debts and interests on it.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: That's going to be a disaster
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: that I don't really fully understand how bad that's going to be yet.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: It's going to be fucking horrible.
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: And while that's going on,
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: the big beautiful Trump's big,
- 13:36SPEAKER_00: beautiful bill,
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: which is the stupidest name ever,
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: cut billions of dollars from SNAP and Medicaid starting tomorrow,
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: which is October 1st.
- 13:45SPEAKER_00: We're recording this on Wednesday.
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: Thursday is October 1st.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: Starting October 1st.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: Billions of dollars of money is just going to disappear from snapping Medicaid.
- 13:53SPEAKER_00: This is cutting off vital resources for rural Republicans.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's going to hurt everybody,
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: but rural Republicans are going to get punched in the dick the hardest.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: The harm this is going to do to Trump's voters is going to be absolutely unfucking believable.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: And you can fucking bet we're going to be talking about in the coming months
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: and years as people start to die.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: While this is going on at the top of all of that,
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: Trump is guaranteed to have ICE ramp up its violence.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: And we've talked
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: about how Mark Wayne Mullen has been carrying out his ethnic cleansing of Americans.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: Trump is going to want the loud terrorism again.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: He'll want to see it on the news.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: He'll want the group.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: Trump's going to be so fucking furious at the American people.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: He spent almost two years already waging war against the country for rejecting him
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: in 2020, and he's going to double and triple down on the harms.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: Looking to inflict as much pain as possible.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: You're probably going to hear,
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: if you've heard it already,
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: you're going to hear the phrase narcissistic injury a whole lot over
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: the next two years.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: As in Trump's entire presidency becomes an exercise in domestic violence.
- 15:32SPEAKER_01: So meanwhile, Trump will continue to white-trashify public lands.
- 15:36SPEAKER_01: New reporting this week indicated Major League Baseball approached the Trump regime
- 15:41SPEAKER_01: about hosting a standalone game at a national park because their Field
- 15:46SPEAKER_01: of Dreams game was so popular.
- 15:48SPEAKER_01: Reporters with the Washington Post spoke to multiple sources who revealed
- 15:54SPEAKER_01: the National Park Service scouted Grand Teton National Park as a possible location.
- 15:59SPEAKER_01: So they confirmed the reporting and tried to claim that they had nothing to do with the matter.
- 16:20SPEAKER_01: According to a spokesperson,
- 16:21SPEAKER_01: no decisions have been made about the game,
- 16:24SPEAKER_01: and they claim that it's not a presidential directive,
- 16:28SPEAKER_01: nor is it being handled by the Department of Interior,
- 16:31SPEAKER_01: except the National Park Service is part of the Department of Interior,
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: which is part of the executive branch.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: And Trump controls everything because that's how he's decided the government should be run.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: So if a game is held on the fragile land of the Grand Teton National Park,
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: it's not as if the MLB is approving the event themselves.
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: They're not like, come on, guys, let's do this.
- 16:57SPEAKER_01: No, the Trump regime has to approve it.
- 16:59SPEAKER_01: And yes, if the park is destroyed, it will be Trump's fault.
- 17:02SPEAKER_01: And a baseball game will almost certainly destroy the park.
- 17:06SPEAKER_01: I can't believe the MLB even is like the audacity.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: Like they even think this is a good idea.
- 17:14SPEAKER_01: The reporting is just the latest example of Trump completely shitting all
- 17:17SPEAKER_01: over public lands and property.
- 17:19SPEAKER_01: As this possible MLB game is unfolding,
- 17:23SPEAKER_01: Americans are still trying to prevent the regime from completely destroying
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: the Kennedy Center.
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: As we've mentioned on previous episodes...
- 17:32SPEAKER_01: Trump and his acolytes are big mad about the courts not allowing his name to go up
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: on the living memorial to President Kennedy.
- 17:39SPEAKER_01: The living memorial.
- 17:40SPEAKER_01: Next thing you know, he's going to put his gravestone right next to Kennedy's.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: If he dies, I'd be okay with that.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: He could die and put his tombstone anywhere he wants, as long as he's dead.
- 17:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know,
- 17:54SPEAKER_01: there's a lot of misconceptions among Democrats,
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: which is surprising, that they think that Trump can't be buried in Arlington.
- 18:01SPEAKER_01: They're like, oh, it's only for the military.
- 18:02SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, guys, the president is the head of the military when he's in office.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm pretty sure the president gets to be buried.
- 18:11SPEAKER_01: No, the president and members of Congress can be buried there.
- 18:16SPEAKER_00: He'll probably want that, too, just so he can always say, oh, yeah, I was in military school.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: It's the same thing.
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: He says that.
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: He loves saying that.
- 18:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so he's still trying to put his name on the building,
- 18:28SPEAKER_01: and because the courts have not allowed him to do it,
- 18:31SPEAKER_01: there's literally concern that he might tear down the building.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: He said himself that he might tear down the building.
- 18:35SPEAKER_01: Which is wild, wild times.
- 18:39SPEAKER_01: At the White House,
- 18:40SPEAKER_01: he's torn down the East Wing,
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: destroyed the Rose Garden, and made it look like a cheap chain restaurant's patio.
- 18:46SPEAKER_01: Ripped up the lawn to add a helipad.
- 18:48SPEAKER_01: Turned the Lincoln bathroom into some kind of grotesque marble brothel.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: That's so tacky.
- 18:55SPEAKER_01: Added gold to every square inch of the Oval Office,
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: including adding signs
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: that labeled the rooms.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: Well, just so he, you know, he remembers where he is.
- 19:08SPEAKER_01: Replace the American slate on the portico with imported granite when we have
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: an actual fucking state called the Granite State.
- 19:16SPEAKER_01: And on and on and on and on.
- 19:18SPEAKER_01: Trump has also finalized plans to open the entire 1.5 million acres of
- 19:24SPEAKER_01: the coastal plain in Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil and gas.
- 19:29SPEAKER_01: He has plans to expand oil and gas drilling into
- 19:35SPEAKER_01: the buffer zone around New Mexico's Chaco Culture National Historical Park.
- 19:41SPEAKER_01: Trump has moved to appeal the roadless rule in national parks and wants
- 19:47SPEAKER_01: to allow road construction And commercial logging on pristine public lands.
- 19:53SPEAKER_01: Honestly, I could keep going, but we have to move on to other topics.
- 19:57SPEAKER_01: The bottom line is that Trump is raping and pillaging land that we own in order
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: to enrich himself and his friends.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: And we have to show him how much we disapprove of this on November 3rd.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: He's just the fucking one.
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like actually.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: On Sunday,
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: the internet lit up and people on both sides of the aisle took to social media
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: to criticize Trump over a political ad that aired during the NFL games.
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: The ads featured Trump in black and white and describing the final battle against
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: the deep state and globalists and sick political class that hates our country.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: It's all fucking projections.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: Critics have, what's that?
- 20:59SPEAKER_01: I said crazy.
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: That was crazy.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: It's fucking insane.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: Critics have rightly pointed out that using taxpayer dollars to run partisan ads is
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: a direct violation of a very clear and specific federal law.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: And this brazen ass White House has denied.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: So, no, they're not.
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: It's not partisan because they don't have to mention Republicans.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: And who could argue that it's not a public
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: The Opinionated Ogre, opinionatedogre.com
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: It's just another reminder to voters,
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: including Republican voters,
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: that Donald Trump is the reason everything sucks right now.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: Why we're in a war that we're losing.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: Why gas is so expensive.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: Why diesel is at a record high.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: Why groceries are outrageously expensive?
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: Why salaries are not keeping up with inflation?
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: Why data centers and flat cameras suck?
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: And why then Trump supports them?
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: And, oh,
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: of course,
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: that we have no money to pay for school lunches or health care,
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: but we have unlimited money to pay for TV ads to make Trump feel better.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: Or like we say, unlimited money for stupid shit.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, unlimited money for stupid Trump shit.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: That's a hell of a closing message that is sure to help turn out the vote for Democrats.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: Another brilliant strategic move from the master of politics, Donald J. Trump.
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: Now, what are Republicans going to do with all of this?
- 23:09SPEAKER_01: Do they stick with Trump for another two years of his suicide run and allow him
- 23:13SPEAKER_01: to fuel another massive blue wave in 2028?
- 23:16SPEAKER_01: Or do they impeach him and pray that President J.D.
- 23:19SPEAKER_01: Vance can survive the assassination attempts long enough to steal the next election?
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: Mind you, it's not going to be assassination attempts from us.
- 23:28SPEAKER_00: It's going to be assassination attempts from Magalant.
- 23:32SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 23:33SPEAKER_01: This is quite the sticky situation for Republicans because now they have
- 23:37SPEAKER_01: a rather large percentage of their base that is absolutely enthralled with
- 23:41SPEAKER_01: the monster that they created.
- 23:42SPEAKER_01: This isn't normal adoration either.
- 23:45SPEAKER_01: We liked Obama, but we didn't have a cult-like obsession with Obama.
- 23:52SPEAKER_01: We weren't flying flags and putting his name on the back of our trucks.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: They said it was a cult.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: They said, oh, we worship and blah, blah.
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: That was all just every Republican accusation is a confession.
- 24:03SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: Every single time.
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: Every Republican that has turned against him has been booted from the party,
- 24:09SPEAKER_01: and the leadership has not just allowed it, but has encouraged it.
- 24:14SPEAKER_01: The GOP was so hungry for power in 2024 that they revived Trump's political career
- 24:20SPEAKER_01: after the January 6th insurrection.
- 24:24SPEAKER_01: If I had to guess,
- 24:25SPEAKER_01: and Ogre might have a different take on this,
- 24:27SPEAKER_01: I'd say that they were going to keep feeding their monster even
- 24:30SPEAKER_01: after they lose power, unless the big donors start pulling money from their party.
- 24:35SPEAKER_01: And this is going to lead to a huge power struggle in 2028 for the GOP nomination.
- 24:41SPEAKER_01: I've often wondered if Trump will try to get one of his kids elected.
- 24:45SPEAKER_01: I don't think Ivanka wants anything to do with it, and Kushner doesn't have the charisma.
- 24:50SPEAKER_01: Maybe Don Jr.,
- 24:52SPEAKER_01: but that whole Russian oligarch thing,
- 24:54SPEAKER_01: paying for his wedding might be too much baggage with independent voters.
- 24:59SPEAKER_01: I don't know,
- 25:00SPEAKER_01: but one thing is for sure,
- 25:02SPEAKER_01: we can count on the media to hype up whoever Republicans put forward in 2028 and try
- 25:07SPEAKER_01: to help them out because they know that that shit shit was going to make them money.
- 25:11SPEAKER_00: Well, during his first time in office,
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: he was trying to make Ivanka the face of the future,
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: and that bombed and fizzled because she's a vacuous twit.
- 25:24SPEAKER_00: She doesn't know anything.
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: People were like, why is she showing up at like UN meetings?
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: What the fuck is she doing there?
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: She doesn't know anything.
- 25:31SPEAKER_00: She doesn't have any experience in any of this.
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: People got mad.
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: Republicans got mad.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: Like, no, I don't care if she.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: She's got a pretty plastic face because she's had plastic surgery.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: She's not presidential material just because her last name is Trump.
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: Eric Jr., no.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: Don Jr., he's got that cocaine problem.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: Every other time you see him,
- 25:55SPEAKER_00: his eyes are bloodshot and he looks like he's stoned out of his mind.
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: So, yeah, that's not going to work.
- 26:03SPEAKER_00: I'm sure they would love to do that.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: But then these are the same people who scream bloody murder about dynasties.
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: You can't have another Clinton because it's a dynasty.
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: You can't do this because it's a dynasty, blah, blah, blah.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: Oh, but they don't care when, they don't, they
- 26:17SPEAKER_01: care about dynasties, but not for themselves.
- 26:19SPEAKER_00: They put up a huge stink about when it was, what's his name, the third Bush.
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: Oh, Jeb.
- 26:26SPEAKER_00: Jeb Bush, because they didn't want another Bush.
- 26:29SPEAKER_00: You know,
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: I don't see how Trump is going to, like,
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: run the country into the ground and then going to be like,
- 26:36SPEAKER_00: we should go with another Trump.
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: And not for nothing, none of them have his charisma.
- 26:43SPEAKER_00: That's
- 26:44SPEAKER_01: the thing.
- 26:45SPEAKER_01: That's the thing is that nobody has his charisma.
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: And that's why they're in
- 26:49SPEAKER_00: so much trouble.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: That's why they're in so much trouble.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: They don't have a successor for him,
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: which means their best bet is to get rid of him sooner than later and hope that
- 27:02SPEAKER_00: in two years people are forgiven.
- 27:04SPEAKER_00: Forgetting about him and just pretending that it was just an aberration.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: And, oh, no, this is the regular normal Republican Party.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: That was all Trump.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: Don't blame us for it.
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: You know, hey, don't, you know, immigrants and trans kids and racism and racism, racism, racism.
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: Don't worry about Trump.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: Don't talk about Trump.
- 27:23SPEAKER_00: Let's not talk about Trump.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: Trump's not here anymore.
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: That's what the only thing they can go, they can hope for.
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: Because if they try to, like,
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: keep doing Trumpism without Trump,
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: They're going to be in trouble because you can't have Trumpism without Trump.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: Ron DeSantis tried it.
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: It didn't work.
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: He tried to out-Trump Trump and he got destroyed.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: Well, also he has no charisma.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: None of them do.
- 27:45SPEAKER_01: My governor is a disaster.
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: Breaks my heart.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: Now, before we move on to our next section,
- 27:52SPEAKER_00: if you would like to throw us a small tip,
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: the QR codes are on the screen for both PayPal and Venmo.
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: We have no sponsors or advertisers, but we do have college kids.
- 28:03SPEAKER_00: We will never get sponsors.
- 28:05SPEAKER_00: We
- 28:08SPEAKER_00: would appreciate anything you can send our way.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: We could both use it.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: Now, moving on to our next section.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: For the next five weeks,
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: we're going to give you updates on just how completely and totally
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: and utterly fucked Republicans are in a new but temporary segment we like to call
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: the Midterm Massacre.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: 10 nerd points if you know what movie that's from.
- 28:48SPEAKER_01: So Republicans are freaking the fuck out ahead of the midterms
- 28:51SPEAKER_01: and trying desperately to save their seats.
- 28:53SPEAKER_01: Recently,
- 28:54SPEAKER_01: they started pouring money into at least 39 House seats
- 28:57SPEAKER_01: that they previously considered safe and had not spent a dime on.
- 29:03SPEAKER_01: House GOP leaders reportedly warned dozens of campaigns
- 29:06SPEAKER_01: that their internal data showed that they were in danger of losing their seats,
- 29:11SPEAKER_01: even in places where Trump won by double digits.
- 29:18SPEAKER_01: Ron Bonjean said Republicans are playing defense in some of the strongholds
- 29:24SPEAKER_01: that they used to not have to worry about.
- 29:26SPEAKER_01: So that begs the question, are any Republican seats really safe?
- 29:33SPEAKER_00: Well,
- 29:33SPEAKER_00: it's looking more and more like Republicans are going to be waving the white flag
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: the end of this, like, common Confederate trade.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: Speaking of Confederates, Mississippi, Mississippi is now being targeted by the Democrats.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: This is from the Wall Street Journal.
- 29:58SPEAKER_00: It has been almost 40 years since Mississippi sent a Democrat to the Senate,
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: and hardly anyone expected But in a sign
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: of just how bullish some Democrats are feeling,
- 30:09SPEAKER_00: some party officials and donors are starting to size up the potential
- 30:11SPEAKER_00: of once unthinkable seats in the Deep South.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: Inspired by success in places like Georgia, they can see coal This is the guy who's running.
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: Now, to be clear,
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: Democratic leadership would not put money into that Jim Crow-ass state
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: if they didn't think there was a possibility they could make something happen.
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: That should absolutely take.
- 30:48SPEAKER_00: Terrify Republicans.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: Terrify them.
- 30:51SPEAKER_00: But that's how fucked they are right now.
- 30:54SPEAKER_01: It's no wonder Trump is running illegal ads and filleting himself
- 30:58SPEAKER_01: because he is becoming even more unpopular.
- 31:03SPEAKER_01: This is from News Nation.
- 31:05SPEAKER_01: And the latest Reuters Ipsos poll says,
- 31:09SPEAKER_01: Trump's overall approval fell by three points from the previous week to
- 31:13SPEAKER_01: an all-time low of 32%.
- 31:15SPEAKER_01: Among Republicans,
- 31:17SPEAKER_01: approval of his job performance dropped from 82% to 73% in a week,
- 31:20SPEAKER_01: down from 86% in January 2026 and 91% just after his second inauguration.
- 31:31SPEAKER_00: The drop among Republicans is a terrible
- 31:35SPEAKER_01: sign for the GOP in an election
- 31:36SPEAKER_01: that Trump has decided to make all about himself.
- 31:40SPEAKER_01: Typically,
- 31:41SPEAKER_01: an unpopular president hides during the midterms so that
- 31:45SPEAKER_01: the party doesn't take quite as large a hit.
- 31:48SPEAKER_01: But Trump doesn't know how to shut the fuck up.
- 31:51SPEAKER_01: So he has become the albatross around the GOP's neck, and it's truly beautiful to watch.
- 31:57SPEAKER_01: They created the leopard that's about to eat their faces, and we love
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: that for them.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: Now, one last piece of midterm massacre news.
- 32:05SPEAKER_00: This was about a week ago.
- 32:06SPEAKER_00: But it's important.
- 32:07SPEAKER_00: Steve Deese is a right wing yapping head from Iowa.
- 32:11SPEAKER_00: And he went on Twitter,
- 32:12SPEAKER_00: which I will continue to dead name until the last star burns out in the sky.
- 32:15SPEAKER_00: And he dropped a bit of a nuke on Magaland.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: Quote, yesterday.
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: Iowa House Republicans were informed by their own pollsters that if you are in
- 32:25SPEAKER_00: a plus 15 district, you're within the margin of error.
- 32:29SPEAKER_00: If you're in a plus 10 district, you're underwater.
- 32:31SPEAKER_00: And this might be, this might end up being, end up.
- 32:35SPEAKER_00: So, on to headlines for short attention spans.
- 33:06SPEAKER_00: You always do that better.
- 33:08SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 33:08SPEAKER_01: The regime has removed both the head of counterterrorism and his deputy,
- 33:14SPEAKER_01: both of whom were in charge of threats from the Middle East.
- 33:18SPEAKER_01: You know,
- 33:19SPEAKER_01: threats like being at war with a country known for funding terrorism all over
- 33:23SPEAKER_01: the world and having an extensive network of terrorist proxies.
- 33:28SPEAKER_01: This should be a bigger story, but of course, you know, we live in the stupidest timeline.
- 33:32SPEAKER_01: So, Michael Bergwald in Courtland Ray.
- 33:37SPEAKER_01: What a stupid spelling.
- 33:40SPEAKER_01: What
- 33:41SPEAKER_00: are you going to do?
- 33:42SPEAKER_00: So that's how people do their things.
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: What are you going to do?
- 33:45SPEAKER_01: Just so you guys know, Courtland's name is spelled K-O-Y-R-T-L-A-N-D.
- 33:52SPEAKER_01: The fuck.
- 33:53SPEAKER_00: Don't be a hater.
- 33:54SPEAKER_01: Neither of whom were political appointees.
- 33:56SPEAKER_01: So neither of them were political appointees.
- 33:58SPEAKER_01: We're actually there because of their...
- 34:02SPEAKER_01: I'm so sorry, guys, for making fun of your names.
- 34:04SPEAKER_01: What?
- 34:09SPEAKER_01: They were actually there because of their years of expertise in the field.
- 34:13SPEAKER_01: Both were reassigned and demoted because Stephen Miller's wife was mad at them.
- 34:18SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 34:18SPEAKER_01: Because
- 34:23SPEAKER_01: a professional podcaster had received threatening phone calls and
- 34:27SPEAKER_01: the counterterrorism division of the FBI didn't trip over their own dicks
- 34:30SPEAKER_01: to make her feel safe.
- 34:32SPEAKER_01: Why was counterterrorism involved with threatening phone calls?
- 34:36SPEAKER_01: Which Which would be like using a bazooka to catch a fly.
- 34:40SPEAKER_01: Because Stephen Miller and his wife said so, dammit.
- 34:42SPEAKER_01: This is how things are done in the fascist regime.
- 34:46SPEAKER_01: Members of the ruling party are special and expected to be treated like royalty.
- 34:51SPEAKER_01: Not catering to their own whims will not be tolerated.
- 34:55SPEAKER_01: Of course,
- 34:56SPEAKER_01: demoting the leaders of the Middle Eastern Counterterrorism Division in the middle
- 35:00SPEAKER_01: of a war with a known Middle Eastern terrorist country.
- 35:04SPEAKER_01: Man, even after that?
- 35:20SPEAKER_00: I don't think they care.
- 35:21SPEAKER_00: I mean, they would definitely love it before, but they just want one.
- 35:25SPEAKER_00: They clearly want this to happen.
- 35:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 35:28SPEAKER_01: Even a minor one with no fatalities would be used by the regime
- 35:31SPEAKER_01: to justify everything from a full-scale ground invasion of Iran
- 35:36SPEAKER_01: to declaring martial law and trying to suspend the midterms.
- 35:39SPEAKER_01: Can you imagine what they would do with another 9-11?
- 35:43SPEAKER_01: Trump and his regime are desperate,
- 35:45SPEAKER_01: and desperate criminals will resort to extremes,
- 35:49SPEAKER_01: including deliberately allowing a mass casualty event here at home to cling
- 35:54SPEAKER_01: to power.
- 35:55SPEAKER_01: It worked for Netanyahu, so why not Trump?
- 35:57SPEAKER_00: Now, Dr.
- 36:00SPEAKER_00: Eric Lovelow asked earlier or said earlier that they were almost certainly going
- 36:05SPEAKER_00: to try like a false flag event in order to fuck with the midterms.
- 36:10SPEAKER_00: They might.
- 36:11SPEAKER_00: I know they're hoping.
- 36:13SPEAKER_00: To engineer a mass casualty event, right?
- 36:16SPEAKER_00: By standing down Cyber Command and, you know, fucking with the FBI's counterterrorism.
- 36:22SPEAKER_00: They're hoping to leave the door open to something really bad to happen here.
- 36:27SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't rule out a false flag event, except they're really, really stupid.
- 36:34SPEAKER_00: And they're very, very bad at this.
- 36:37SPEAKER_00: Like, they're terrible at this sort of thing.
- 36:39SPEAKER_00: So even if they managed to actually do it,
- 36:42SPEAKER_00: they would be so sloppy and ham-handed about it that within 24 hours,
- 36:49SPEAKER_00: everyone would be like, huh, that's weird.
- 36:52SPEAKER_00: Why were there so many white nationalists involved?
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 37:09SPEAKER_00: They're terrible.
- 37:13SPEAKER_00: They're not smart in any way, shape or form about this.
- 37:16SPEAKER_00: So, I mean,
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: I don't want them to do it,
- 37:19SPEAKER_00: but if they did,
- 37:20SPEAKER_00: they would make it super, super fucking obvious that they had done it.
- 37:24SPEAKER_00: So, I don't know.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: Also, they're fucking cowards.
- 37:29SPEAKER_00: And they're all relying on Trump to give them pardons, but Trump is very, very unreliable.
- 37:37SPEAKER_00: So, I don't know how much they're going to want to stick their So, I don't know.
- 37:42SPEAKER_00: I'm not super convinced that they're going to try to do that.
- 37:47SPEAKER_00: Now, let us move on.
- 37:50SPEAKER_00: Reader LH brought this to my attention.
- 37:52SPEAKER_00: So, hat tip to you because I don't.
- 37:54SPEAKER_00: Substack, Substack, Substack, Substack
- 38:09SPEAKER_00: Common Dreams wrote an article about this,
- 38:12SPEAKER_00: how last Monday,
- 38:14SPEAKER_00: Republicans got together with their good friend,
- 38:17SPEAKER_00: billionaire Harlan Crowe,
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: in a closed-door meeting to talk about how they plan to get rid of Social Security
- 38:22SPEAKER_00: and Medicare.
- 38:23SPEAKER_00: If the name Harlan Crowe is ringing a bell for you,
- 38:26SPEAKER_00: ding, ding, ding, ding, he's the billionaire who owns Clarence Thomas, literally.
- 38:31SPEAKER_00: Thomas was going to quit the Supreme Court because the job didn't pay enough,
- 38:35SPEAKER_00: and he was sad about that.
- 38:37SPEAKER_00: And then Crowe swooped in to lavish literally millions of dollars of gifts.
- 38:44SPEAKER_00: We don't say bribes, we say gifts.
- 38:45SPEAKER_00: And wouldn't you know it,
- 38:47SPEAKER_00: Clarence Thomas decided to stay on and he's been living that baller lifestyle.
- 39:01SPEAKER_00: But Harlan Crowe doesn't just want the Supreme Court to rule in his favor.
- 39:06SPEAKER_00: He wants the entire GOP to obey his commands,
- 39:09SPEAKER_00: like doing away with the social safety net for America because
- 39:12SPEAKER_00: the ultra-rich fucking hate us that much.
- 39:16SPEAKER_00: And isn't it weird how the press never seems to write articles about
- 39:19SPEAKER_00: the GOP's Decades-long plans to end Medicare,
- 39:22SPEAKER_00: Medicaid,
- 39:23SPEAKER_00: and Social Security,
- 39:24SPEAKER_00: but they have all the fucking time in the world to tell us
- 39:27SPEAKER_00: about how mean female Democratic candidates are and how fucking old Joe Biden is.
- 39:32SPEAKER_00: And I feel like the GOP's policy priorities might be slightly more important than,
- 39:39SPEAKER_00: you know, an Alaskan Democratic candidate being a little abrupt with her staff.
- 39:46SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 39:46SPEAKER_00: I feel like this is more important, but apparently it's not because we can't talk about that.
- 39:52SPEAKER_00: If we did, voters might vote based on actual issues and not on culture or bullshit.
- 39:58SPEAKER_00: And that just wouldn't be fair to Republicans, would it?
- 40:01SPEAKER_01: You know,
- 40:02SPEAKER_01: the Alaska candidate just needs to end all of her correspondence with
- 40:05SPEAKER_01: a smiley face like women are expected to do.
- 40:09SPEAKER_00: But is she smiling enough?
- 40:11SPEAKER_00: Does she have a weird laugh?
- 40:13SPEAKER_00: Does she laugh weird?
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: No.
- 40:15SPEAKER_01: Is her voice shrill?
- 40:16SPEAKER_01: Does she seem cold?
- 40:17SPEAKER_00: I swear to God.
- 40:20SPEAKER_01: So Trump is seriously contemplating a diesel export ban, which would counterintuitively...
- 40:27SPEAKER_01: Raise the price of gas and diesel?
- 40:30SPEAKER_01: Trump's own energy secretary,
- 40:32SPEAKER_01: Chris Wright,
- 40:32SPEAKER_01: said as much as, and he's a bootlicking toady like the rest of Trump's cabinet.
- 40:39SPEAKER_01: Here's the problem.
- 40:41SPEAKER_01: A ban would drop prices by about 20 to 30 cents for a few weeks.
- 40:46SPEAKER_01: But diesel and gasoline are produced by the same refineries,
- 40:50SPEAKER_01: and they do not have enough excess storage to hold all of the diesel.
- 40:54SPEAKER_01: So refineries would cut production because they would have no place to put it.
- 40:58SPEAKER_01: Then prices would go up beyond what they are now.
- 41:02SPEAKER_01: And remember, right now they're like $6.35 a gallon for diesel?
- 41:07SPEAKER_00: No, it's like $6.50.
- 41:08SPEAKER_00: It's a little over $6.50 at this point.
- 41:10SPEAKER_01: Now it's $6.50.
- 41:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 41:13SPEAKER_01: Forgive me, I don't drive one of those trucks that goes...
- 41:20SPEAKER_01: Has toe mirrors, but no toe hitch.
- 41:27SPEAKER_01: Not Florida enough.
- 41:28SPEAKER_01: So the prices would go up beyond where they are now.
- 41:32SPEAKER_01: A bin would literally raise the price of gas and diesel.
- 41:36SPEAKER_01: Why not?
- 41:39SPEAKER_01: This is a problem that can be fixed down the road.
- 41:42SPEAKER_01: With proper incentives,
- 41:45SPEAKER_01: oil companies can build the infrastructure that would make us less vulnerable
- 41:49SPEAKER_01: to oil shocks.
- 41:50SPEAKER_01: But that would take years, and this is right now.
- 41:54SPEAKER_01: It's to be seen doing something.
- 41:56SPEAKER_01: But like everything he knee jerks his way into, it will just make things worse.
- 42:03SPEAKER_01: If there's one thing about Trump, he is the guy who causes the problem.
- 42:07SPEAKER_01: And then he's like, look, guys, I'm fixing the problem.
- 42:10SPEAKER_00: And half the time, he makes the problem worse.
- 42:13SPEAKER_00: And then finally, he causes the problem, makes it worse.
- 42:17SPEAKER_00: And then when finally it gets sorted out,
- 42:19SPEAKER_00: he's like, oh my God, I'm such a genius for solving this.
- 42:22SPEAKER_01: Or like we saw when Joe Biden took office,
- 42:25SPEAKER_01: they were like, oh, you're not fixing his problem fast enough.
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: Well, that's every fucking Republican.
- 42:30SPEAKER_00: Every Republican, honestly.
- 42:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 42:32SPEAKER_01: And then we're not doing enough to fix it fast enough.
- 42:34SPEAKER_00: Like, why aren't you fixing this problem fast enough?
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: It's like, because you can't burn a house to the ground and then get it built in a week.
- 42:41SPEAKER_00: It takes time to fix this shit.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: What's wrong with you?
- 42:44SPEAKER_00: All right, let's wrap up on some good news here.
- 42:47SPEAKER_00: Last week,
- 42:48SPEAKER_00: I talked about the seven rapists at Cornell University who viciously assaulted women
- 42:52SPEAKER_00: for hours and were never arrested.
- 42:54SPEAKER_00: Five of them were actually allowed back on campus after writing essays.
- 42:59SPEAKER_00: I swear to God, they had to write essays and attending Don't Be a Fucking Rapist workshops.
- 43:05SPEAKER_00: And it remains an absolute mystery.
- 43:08SPEAKER_00: We may never solve why women choose the bear.
- 43:10SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: Anyway,
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: the screaming outrage from the public has convinced New York State prosecutors
- 43:16SPEAKER_00: to reopen the case.
- 43:18SPEAKER_00: Sure, they say they didn't have any of this information back in 2024,
- 43:21SPEAKER_00: but gosh darn it, they're here to do the right thing now.
- 43:25SPEAKER_00: You know, when the entire country has them under a microscope.
- 43:28SPEAKER_00: And I feel just awful that the rapists were stupid enough to text all
- 43:32SPEAKER_00: of their buddies about the ongoing rape.
- 43:35SPEAKER_00: And I feel even worse that dozens of members of the fraternity were in the chat
- 43:39SPEAKER_00: and did nothing and now their names will probably get out and ruin their lives too.
- 43:44SPEAKER_00: How awful for them.
- 43:46SPEAKER_00: They didn't even do anything, which is exactly the point.
- 43:49SPEAKER_00: They didn't do anything.
- 43:52SPEAKER_00: And rape culture will continue until we make the cost of rape and enabling it
- 43:57SPEAKER_00: as painful and damaging as the act itself.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: And I'm sure the seven pieces of shit from Cornell thought they got away with it.
- 44:04SPEAKER_00: And they're big sad now that they're facing justice.
- 44:08SPEAKER_00: So let us all break out our tiny valley limbs and play a sad, sad song for them.
- 44:18SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 44:20SPEAKER_00: Sorry, let's move on.
- 44:22SPEAKER_01: In episode 114,
- 44:23SPEAKER_01: we told you about Joseph D.
- 44:25SPEAKER_01: Genova resigning from the Department of Justice after clashing with the Trump regime
- 44:30SPEAKER_01: over the so-called grand conspiracy probe.
- 44:34SPEAKER_01: And to Trump's political enemies.
- 44:36SPEAKER_01: Now a second prosecutor has resigned from the probe.
- 44:39SPEAKER_01: Kurt Olson is a lawyer who has backed Trump's claims about
- 44:43SPEAKER_01: the 2020 election being stolen from him.
- 44:46SPEAKER_01: He even tried to get the Supreme Court to overturn Biden's win.
- 44:51SPEAKER_01: Then in 2022,
- 44:52SPEAKER_01: he helped Carrie Lake try to overturn her gubernatorial loss in Arizona
- 44:57SPEAKER_01: and was later sanctioned by the courts in the state for making false statements.
- 45:02SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 45:02SPEAKER_01: That guy.
- 45:03SPEAKER_01: That guy was hired to work at the DOJ.
- 45:06SPEAKER_01: And a few months ago, he was put into a leadership position.
- 45:09SPEAKER_00: Of course he was.
- 45:12SPEAKER_01: All you got to do is lie.
- 45:13SPEAKER_00: And then next thing you know.
- 45:15SPEAKER_00: Are you a piece of dirt?
- 45:16SPEAKER_00: Then you have a job here in the Trump regime.
- 45:20SPEAKER_01: An anonymous source confirmed Olson's resignation to the Associated Press.
- 45:25SPEAKER_01: It's unclear why he quit,
- 45:26SPEAKER_01: but the departure of such a staunch ally of
- 45:29SPEAKER_01: the president shows just how bad this investigation is going.
- 45:34SPEAKER_01: It's important to understand that revenge is one of the core functions of Trump's corrupt DOJ.
- 45:40SPEAKER_01: Now, But it's so deeply broken and it's so incredibly incompetent
- 45:46SPEAKER_01: that even Trump's devoted bootlickers are quitting in frustration.
- 45:50SPEAKER_01: These people are not smart enough to stage a successful coup or properly cover their tracks.
- 45:58SPEAKER_01: When the regime falls,
- 45:59SPEAKER_01: and it will,
- 46:00SPEAKER_01: they're going to leave a trail of evidence that is a mile wide
- 46:05SPEAKER_01: and Democrats will have enough of it to Nuremberg them all.
- 46:11SPEAKER_00: If you missed it,
- 46:13SPEAKER_00: if you didn't catch any of it yesterday,
- 46:15SPEAKER_00: we didn't put this in our notes,
- 46:19SPEAKER_00: but yesterday,
- 46:21SPEAKER_00: Republicans had Jack Smith in front of the Senate so they could drag him over
- 46:26SPEAKER_00: the coals and they were going to get him, blah, blah, blah.
- 46:30SPEAKER_00: And Eric Schmidt of whatever state he's from, he...
- 46:36SPEAKER_00: Montana?
- 46:38SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 46:39SPEAKER_00: It's one of the red states because he was going to get him.
- 46:42SPEAKER_00: He was going to get Jack Smith.
- 46:44SPEAKER_00: And what he was trying to do was create,
- 46:47SPEAKER_00: he was trying to tie Jack Smith into this big grand conspiracy thing
- 46:50SPEAKER_00: because this is All they're trying to do is create this big grand conspiracy
- 46:54SPEAKER_00: where everyone was out to get Trump in Missouri.
- 46:56SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Kim.
- 46:57SPEAKER_00: Everyone was out to get Trump.
- 46:58SPEAKER_00: It was all big part of a big grand conspiracy.
- 47:01SPEAKER_00: And he had the proof.
- 47:03SPEAKER_00: He had texts from Jack Smith's staff that he...
- 47:08SPEAKER_00: He was in Georgia,
- 47:11SPEAKER_00: and he was in Atlanta at a basketball game,
- 47:14SPEAKER_00: and it was a Hawks game,
- 47:16SPEAKER_00: and it was definite proof that he was there back in February of 2024,
- 47:20SPEAKER_00: and it was the day after Fannie Willis had come out and talked about how she had
- 47:24SPEAKER_00: an affair with a staffer and yada, yada, yada,
- 47:28SPEAKER_00: and And clearly,
- 47:30SPEAKER_00: Jack Smith was in Georgia and he was in Atlanta because that's where she works.
- 47:34SPEAKER_00: So he could meet with her and they could conspire, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 47:38SPEAKER_00: And when Schmidt was asking Jack Smith about this, Smith was like, I wasn't in Atlanta.
- 47:46SPEAKER_00: I mean, I may have passed through Atlanta.
- 47:48SPEAKER_00: I may have been in the Atlanta airport on my way to Florida, but I've never been to Atlanta.
- 47:54SPEAKER_00: And he didn't know what he was talking about.
- 47:57SPEAKER_00: And he's like, I've never been to a basketball.
- 47:59SPEAKER_00: And he's like, no, I haven't.
- 48:05SPEAKER_00: What are you talking about?
- 48:06SPEAKER_00: And when he finally figured out,
- 48:07SPEAKER_00: it's like, in February of 2024, I was at a basketball game in Maryland.
- 48:13SPEAKER_00: And Amy Klobuchar was like, are you talking about The Hawkeyes?
- 48:21SPEAKER_00: Are you talking about the Iowa Hawkeyes?
- 48:25SPEAKER_00: Not the Atlanta Hawks.
- 48:28SPEAKER_00: The Iowa Hawkeyes?
- 48:29SPEAKER_00: Because that's the one that Caitlin Clark is on,
- 48:32SPEAKER_00: and that's Who Jack Smith had gone to seek play because apparently he's a fan.
- 48:39SPEAKER_00: And that's what had happened.
- 48:41SPEAKER_00: They had mistaken the Hawkeyes for the Hawks,
- 48:44SPEAKER_00: which is, I don't know, like, how do you fuck that up?
- 48:49SPEAKER_00: Like, how do you screw that up?
- 48:52SPEAKER_01: And he was like, you perjured yourself.
- 48:55SPEAKER_01: Well, we caught you perjuring yourself then.
- 48:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and it's like,
- 48:57SPEAKER_00: you're a dirtbag,
- 48:58SPEAKER_00: you perjured yourself, we caught you, this is all part of conspiracy.
- 49:03SPEAKER_00: It's four minutes of the most cringeworthy,
- 49:06SPEAKER_00: excruciating TV I've ever watched in my life, and it didn't matter.
- 49:12SPEAKER_00: Because afterwards,
- 49:15SPEAKER_00: Schmidt just was like, well, my job is to ask questions and blah, blah, blah.
- 49:18SPEAKER_00: And it was like, dude,
- 49:20SPEAKER_00: everything you just came up with,
- 49:21SPEAKER_00: this whole elaborate conspiracy that you guys have been trying to build for years,
- 49:26SPEAKER_00: all of it's bad.
- 49:27SPEAKER_00: It doesn't matter how.
- 49:52SPEAKER_00: It doesn't matter if they go out there and say two and two equals five
- 49:55SPEAKER_00: and someone says, actually, it's four.
- 49:57SPEAKER_00: Well, that doesn't matter.
- 49:58SPEAKER_00: It doesn't matter.
- 49:58SPEAKER_00: Facts don't matter because I'm right.
- 50:00SPEAKER_00: I'm never wrong.
- 50:01SPEAKER_00: You're the bad person here.
- 50:03SPEAKER_00: Attack, attack, attack, attack.
- 50:04SPEAKER_00: That's what they've been trained to do.
- 50:06SPEAKER_00: So it's just,
- 50:07SPEAKER_00: but it's absolutely humiliating,
- 50:10SPEAKER_00: but they don't feel shame anymore, no matter how stupid they look.
- 50:13SPEAKER_00: And it really was just absolutely the most cringeworthy thing.
- 50:18SPEAKER_00: But that's their whole thing, right?
- 50:20SPEAKER_00: They have to,
- 50:21SPEAKER_00: everything's a conspiracy against them and they just look like fucking morons,
- 50:24SPEAKER_00: but they have to keep going.
- 50:25SPEAKER_00: They can't stop.
- 50:27SPEAKER_00: Impeciles.
- 50:28SPEAKER_00: All right, let us move on to self-care of the week.
- 50:31SPEAKER_00: And God, do I need some after these people.
- 50:33SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 50:34SPEAKER_01: So, as you know,
- 50:35SPEAKER_01: I did not do the podcast last week,
- 50:38SPEAKER_01: but on Wednesday night,
- 50:39SPEAKER_01: I got to bring my dog to the emergency vet,
- 50:41SPEAKER_01: as I talked about at the beginning of the show, because he decided to eat trash.
- 50:44SPEAKER_01: So, $350 later, he's good.
- 50:47SPEAKER_01: Now we refer to him as our $350 dog.
- 50:48SPEAKER_01: Aren't our beloved pets priceless?
- 50:49SPEAKER_01: No.
- 51:00SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 51:01SPEAKER_01: Listen, when we pay for something expensive in our household,
- 51:04SPEAKER_01: we just forever, they're known as whatever that expensive thing was.
- 51:08SPEAKER_01: So for example, whenever we talk about New York City, we're like, oh, the $19 tunnel.
- 51:15SPEAKER_01: Or when we talk about going over the Chesapeake Bay Tunnel Bridge, we call it the $14 bridge.
- 51:24SPEAKER_00: Oh, man, you don't even wonder how much it costs to go for the GWB.
- 51:27SPEAKER_00: It's like 20-something dollars.
- 51:28SPEAKER_00: That's crazy.
- 51:29SPEAKER_00: The George Washington Bridge.
- 51:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I gotcha.
- 51:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 51:31SPEAKER_00: Oh, boy.
- 51:32SPEAKER_00: Oof.
- 51:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's just, you know, so he's now known as the $350 dog.
- 51:41SPEAKER_01: I pretty much chilled at home other than that.
- 51:44SPEAKER_01: But we did take our seven-year-old to drive in the country on Saturday to see
- 51:48SPEAKER_01: the harvest moonrise because I taught him about the autumn equinox and all
- 51:53SPEAKER_01: that stuff the week before.
- 51:54SPEAKER_01: So he wasn't feeling very well and like the dog.
- 51:59SPEAKER_01: He decided to throw up, but he threw up on the side of the road.
- 52:02SPEAKER_01: Fortunately, he's nothing like his older brother, who never did not throw up on the backseat.
- 52:10SPEAKER_01: I swear he aimed for it every single time when he was little.
- 52:15SPEAKER_01: So we praised our youngest for throwing up outside.
- 52:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 52:21SPEAKER_01: And then talk shit about his older brother.
- 52:23SPEAKER_01: And then on Monday,
- 52:25SPEAKER_01: I spent the day at the Cancer Center with my uncle,
- 52:28SPEAKER_01: who's doing very well, by the way.
- 52:29SPEAKER_01: He has an endoscopy next week, so we'll see how that is.
- 52:34SPEAKER_01: And then in the evening, the little one and I began a sourdough starter for science.
- 52:41SPEAKER_01: I taught him about fermentation, and now we're watching the process work.
- 52:45SPEAKER_01: He decided to name, he named it last night, he named him David.
- 52:50SPEAKER_01: Which, you know, I would have called him Dovid or John Doe.
- 52:58SPEAKER_01: But whatever, he named him David.
- 53:00SPEAKER_01: So David, by the way, we fed him last night.
- 53:04SPEAKER_01: And this morning, he has already doubled in size.
- 53:07SPEAKER_01: Today is day three.
- 53:08SPEAKER_00: He's a growing boy.
- 53:10SPEAKER_01: Like, he is active.
- 53:12SPEAKER_01: That guy is doing things.
- 53:14SPEAKER_01: He's moving and grooving.
- 53:16SPEAKER_01: He was at 250 milliliters last night, and he's almost to 600.
- 53:20SPEAKER_01: So I'm like, should I discard and feed him sooner?
- 53:23SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 53:25SPEAKER_01: But he is.
- 53:26SPEAKER_01: He's a big boy.
- 53:29SPEAKER_01: Sadly, we don't live in North Carolina.
- 53:31SPEAKER_01: Because if we did, I would take him into the woods to make moonshine.
- 53:37SPEAKER_01: But, you know.
- 53:38SPEAKER_01: Sourdough will have to do for now.
- 53:43SPEAKER_01: Finally, I watched Rachel Maddow's new true crime documentary, Killberry Print, on Peacock.
- 53:50SPEAKER_01: She was one of the producers,
- 53:51SPEAKER_01: and I recommend it because it was very, very, very, very, very disturbing.
- 53:57SPEAKER_01: I remember when the case happened.
- 54:00SPEAKER_01: But I didn't know the full details until I watched the documentary.
- 54:02SPEAKER_01: So 1010, definitely watch it.
- 54:05SPEAKER_01: Kilbury print on Peacock.
- 54:07SPEAKER_00: I'm going to have to look it up because I remember that story too.
- 54:09SPEAKER_00: She talked about it on Monday's show.
- 54:12SPEAKER_00: And I remember that whole thing with the,
- 54:13SPEAKER_00: they were planning to kill the news people because they were,
- 54:16SPEAKER_00: had the nerve to report on the cops.
- 54:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 54:20SPEAKER_01: And I almost forgot, how could I?
- 54:22SPEAKER_01: It's football season.
- 54:24SPEAKER_01: The Bills won on Sunday.
- 54:26SPEAKER_01: I will admit,
- 54:28SPEAKER_01: as the Bills do,
- 54:30SPEAKER_01: I spent the entire day going,
- 54:31SPEAKER_01: my team is going to play,
- 54:32SPEAKER_01: my team is going to play, my team is going to play, my team is going to play.
- 54:35SPEAKER_01: And then during the game,
- 54:36SPEAKER_01: I was watching the score and talking to my friend who was actually watching it live,
- 54:40SPEAKER_01: and she kept going, oh, another interception.
- 54:42SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, Sonic.
- 54:44SPEAKER_01: But then we won.
- 54:45SPEAKER_01: So we're happy about that.
- 54:47SPEAKER_01: So, you know, go Bills and fuck Trump.
- 54:51SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 54:53SPEAKER_00: On Friday, I met up with Dana from the Daily Whatever.
- 54:58SPEAKER_00: That's the show they do pretty much every day on Substack.
- 55:01SPEAKER_00: They're probably finishing up right about now.
- 55:03SPEAKER_00: But hi, Dana.
- 55:06SPEAKER_00: I took her into she was here.
- 55:08SPEAKER_00: She lives up in Washington,
- 55:10SPEAKER_00: and she came all the way out to the East Coast, and I took her to the Metro.
- 55:15SPEAKER_00: I took her on the Metro into D.C. We rented bikes.
- 55:17SPEAKER_00: We rode down to the currently empty reflecting pool,
- 55:21SPEAKER_00: and we did a quick live stream before heading over to the Lincoln Memorial.
- 55:25SPEAKER_00: Dana was delighted to do the tourist thing,
- 55:27SPEAKER_00: and she was tickled pink to have someone to do it with.
- 55:30SPEAKER_00: Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 55:32SPEAKER_01: Excuse me, but you have never ridden bikes with me through D.C.?
- 55:37SPEAKER_00: I had not rented a bike at that point.
- 55:39SPEAKER_00: So that was not a thing I had tried doing yet.
- 55:42SPEAKER_00: And after I did it with Anastasia, I was like, oh, man, this is the best way to get around D.C.
- 55:47SPEAKER_00: So next time you come in, we'll rent bikes.
- 55:50SPEAKER_00: So.
- 55:52SPEAKER_00: We compared notes on having our oldest go away to college
- 55:55SPEAKER_00: and watching people we work with start stabbing each other in the back
- 55:59SPEAKER_00: on various social media platforms.
- 56:02SPEAKER_00: It was amazing.
- 56:03SPEAKER_00: You and me have talked about this,
- 56:05SPEAKER_00: Florida woman,
- 56:05SPEAKER_00: but it's amazing to watch all the same bullshit that we saw back
- 56:08SPEAKER_00: on Facebook happening All over again,
- 56:10SPEAKER_00: except this time we're watching from the outside because we're not involved in any
- 56:13SPEAKER_00: of this.
- 56:14SPEAKER_00: Thank God.
- 56:16SPEAKER_00: On Sunday, I took Anastasia and the D&D group to the Renaissance Fair up in Maryland.
- 56:21SPEAKER_00: It was raining.
- 56:22SPEAKER_00: It was a light but steady rain.
- 56:24SPEAKER_00: The place was a mud pit, which lent it quite the air of authenticity.
- 56:29SPEAKER_00: We watched the joust,
- 56:31SPEAKER_00: but since it was too muddy for the horses, they,
- 56:34SPEAKER_00: and I kid you not, they had the squires running around doing all of the events.
- 56:39SPEAKER_00: It was absolutely hilarious.
- 56:42SPEAKER_00: And whatever the squires are getting paid, it's not enough.
- 56:46SPEAKER_00: I've mostly found some place to sit out of the rain and read my book while
- 56:49SPEAKER_00: the girls ran around and did their own thing.
- 56:51SPEAKER_00: Like last year, I was there with another parent.
- 56:54SPEAKER_00: This year, only four of the girls came.
- 56:56SPEAKER_00: So it was just one car.
- 56:57SPEAKER_00: So I was by myself.
- 56:58SPEAKER_00: It's fine.
- 56:59SPEAKER_00: I'm going back in a couple of weeks with Mrs. Ogre and the kids.
- 57:03SPEAKER_00: So I'll actually be walking around the rent fair and doing stuff because Going
- 57:08SPEAKER_00: by yourself and doing it is boring, but it was good.
- 57:11SPEAKER_00: The girls had a great time and they enjoyed themselves thoroughly.
- 57:16SPEAKER_00: But yeah, it was a really good weekend.
- 57:18SPEAKER_00: And Saturday, Lila was up because we were going to a concert that night.
- 57:22SPEAKER_00: And I got to make her a light lunch and some hot chocolate,
- 57:25SPEAKER_00: which I was sad that I didn't get to do during the week
- 57:27SPEAKER_00: because it was finally got chilly enough for that and she wasn't here.
- 57:30SPEAKER_00: But I got to make a hot chocolate anyway on Saturday and we sat and we talked for a while.
- 57:35SPEAKER_00: And that was really nice.
- 57:35SPEAKER_00: So it was just a really good weekend all over the place.
- 57:38SPEAKER_00: So very self-caring and it was great.
- 57:41SPEAKER_00: That's it for today's show.
