- 4:48why not invest in life insurance. I know the process can seem overwhelming,
- 4:54but it becomes an important step people usually put off, whether it's not knowing
- 4:58what kind of life insurance just right for you, such as term life insurance,
- 5:02whole life insurance, or universal life insurance, or you're just not sure
- 5:06where to begin. You know you can simplify the process and better understand what
- 5:13policy might be right for you. We are speaking with money coach and life
- 5:16insurance agent Veronica Randall tonight. Welcome, I guess miss Veronica Randall. Hey,
- 5:31Veronica, how are you doing tonight? Veronica? I got a question
- 5:46for you, Veronica, for tonight. Can you hear me? Yes?
- 5:51Okay? How are ye? I'm fine? I am really doing well.
- 6:00Okay. So I definitely want to talk about this subject because not too many
- 6:03people are interested in it, but it's important. I got a question for
- 6:08you tonight. My first question is what is the difference between life insurance that's
- 6:13whole life insurance, term life insurance, and universal life insurance. Good question,
- 6:20good question. Well, whole life insurance is insurance that it's a whole
- 6:32life insurance. I think that's something that most people are going after home life
- 6:36insurance, and if I'm correct, term life insurance, I think it's for
- 6:42the term or maybe the term of the amount of time that you put into
- 6:47it. Maybe if you have it for maybe a year that you may be
- 6:53invested in that. Now universal, I think that one is a lifetime universal.
- 7:00Yes, universal, whole life. Universal, go up on the whole
- 7:05life. They just call different names, but there's still whole life because they
- 7:10have a cash value connected to it. And then and then term as insurance
- 7:18just for the term. Because you don't need life insurance all your life,
- 7:23I mark it term life insurance. I mark it term life insurance, and
- 7:28I invest the difference a post whole life insurance because like I said, you
- 7:35don't need life insurance all your life. You need to be paying for life
- 7:39insurance all your life. But whole life insurance was something that was entered into
- 7:42our community back in the day because it was told that you have a cash
- 7:48value. And when you talk about cash value, you know we as people
- 7:51cash value. Yes, I need that. I can use that because they
- 7:56would say you can use your cash, you know, send send your kid
- 7:59to school. If you need extra money, you can cash in your policy,
- 8:03or you can take some of the cash out of your policy. Well,
- 8:07so it's whole life insurance what people consider a whole lot of nonsense,
- 8:11or its term life insurance a better investment. Well, it's what's best for
- 8:18you. So that's why market term, because I can invest the difference,
- 8:24meaning that again whole life insurance, you have a cash value connected to it.
- 8:30And people borrow money off their life insurance policy and they have to pay
- 8:35that money back with interest. So some of the people borrow and they keep
- 8:39borrowing, they keep boring, but their value of their whole life goes down,
- 8:45so they think and they just barren off a thousand dollars And for instance,
- 8:50like if they had fifty thousand dollars and they barred a thousand, so
- 8:54they think, well, now it just makes my whole life insurance forty nine
- 8:58thousand, But it really does it. I mean, they're just hypothetical numbers.
- 9:01They're not true numbers. I'm just giving you an example. So that's
- 9:05when people start barring and they gotta pay that thousand dollars back with interest.
- 9:09So why am I having a policy and I got to pay the money back
- 9:15that's already mine? Why do term? I still have my term life insurance
- 9:22policy and I'm investing money at the same time, and I can go and
- 9:26get my money out anytime I want. I don't have to pay back my
- 9:31life insurance policy is not decreasing. So those are two different things. And
- 9:35you know we can get deeper. If anybody needs different deeper information, you
- 9:41are more than welcome to call me at four four three six five three one
- 9:46nine six six. I do what's right by you. I explain it.
- 9:50I make sure you understand it so that you can get what's best for you
- 9:54and your family. Because you don't want I'm sorry, go ahead, No,
- 10:00you go ahead to finished because you don't want to have to have a
- 10:03policy when it's time to use it. It's not where you thought it was
- 10:07at. It has already decreased because money has been taken out. That money
- 10:11has not been paid back, that interest has not been paid back. So
- 10:16those two together is like it's like vinnekan all mixing together because if you take
- 10:22that out. Now I had this policy, it's not what it was supposed
- 10:26to be. Mama said it was one hundred thousand dollars. I go get
- 10:28this policy. No, it's nowhere near. Now it's forty thousand. We
- 10:31have a question here the accent. Why do people borrow on their policy?
- 10:39Me? I think that some people borrow because they need maybe need the extra
- 10:43money could be maybe for a funeral, maybe an education, or maybe a
- 10:48trip. They figured, well, you know, I'm here and I'm going
- 10:52to spend it. I've been putting the money into it so i can spend
- 10:54it on myself. That maybe some of the reasons why some people borrow against
- 11:03it. We have a question here for you that why do people borrow on
- 11:05their policy. People borrow on their policy for different reasons, just to know
- 11:11that they have a cash value. And you know, you know another reason
- 11:16people borrow money is because they need money. So not only do we teach
- 11:20you how to invest your money, we also teach you how money works.
- 11:26Because we don't have instructions on how money works, so we show you all
- 11:28those techniques so that you can be set up so you don't have to borrow.
- 11:35You can you can invest your money and have that money there so as
- 11:39needed, you can take it out and don't have to borrow pay anything back.
- 11:43I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible. This question has been
- 11:46on my mind. Is there any reason why a person should not have life
- 11:50insurance? The only reason you should not have life insurance if you have money
- 11:54in your bank and if something happened, you can go directly to that bank,
- 11:58pull that money out, have that service, and you're good. But
- 12:01other than that, yes, other tax bracket. I would say, why
- 12:09do you think some people are not covered? Are the rings too high?
- 12:11Or do people believe that they're not gonna die? Help me understanding, because
- 12:16some people think they're gonna live forever. So I hope they don't think they're
- 12:18not gonna die, because we all even this earth someday. And then because
- 12:22people don't people don't know, they don't have the information. No one is
- 12:26telling them the information. And I'm willing to tell anybody the information that needed
- 12:31because we need it. Young. Oh, we need to be protected also,
- 12:39we need to be protected. Like if you were in a household with
- 12:41a husband, wife and children. If something happened to the husband, what's
- 12:46going to happen to the family because his income is gone, there's no life
- 12:50insurance there, there's no protection there. So now let's look at that's what's
- 12:54looking Let's look at what happened to the family. If there's no life insurance
- 13:00and the husband passes away golf a bit. He's the bread winner, he's
- 13:03the one that's bringing in the money. So now he's gone so now you
- 13:07have the wife and the children, what's gonna happen. They're not going to
- 13:11have that house if the wife can't afford to pay it. Some kids not
- 13:16going to be going to private school because there's no money there. But if
- 13:20you have life, is life insurance benefits guaranteed? Say that again? Is
- 13:26life insurance benefits guaranteed? Yes? Yes, if they're set up correctly,
- 13:31Yes they are. With my term, they are set up because we set
- 13:35you up based on the husband, the wife, the children, the house.
- 13:41We have a formula set up as to how much life insurance a person
- 13:45would need and like and again it's based on married children, a house,
- 13:52you want to pay for education, you want to pay your house or all
- 13:54that stuff. We take in those numbers we take in consideration before we,
- 14:00you know, we figure out how much life insurance you need because most people
- 14:03are under ashore under insured. Most people have like fifty thousand dollars life insurance.
- 14:09Well, if you have a family, where is that? What's gonna
- 14:13happen? So so so so we say a life insurance is like your last
- 14:18love letter. I've loved my family so much that I protected my family.
- 14:24We have to do income protection. That's the first line of getting your house
- 14:26in order. Income protection, because we want everybody to be protected. So
- 14:33we have We have insurance in our car, we have insurance in our phone.
- 14:37Why not having a wance in our life. We know we not gonna
- 14:41be here, but I need to take care of my wife and my kids.
- 14:45I need to leave a legacy. I need to have something set aside
- 14:48so that in case this is what's gonna happen, not only not only my
- 14:54family gonna be said that I'm gone, but they still gonna be able to
- 14:58live and build. I like what you said about it being your last love
- 15:03letter, you know. I like that. I never thought that it would
- 15:05be put in that way. This question has come across me too, What
- 15:09if my health, what if my health changes, or if I need more
- 15:13coverage in the future, came my policy change? Your policy can change.
- 15:16If you already have a policy, you can increase it. But when you
- 15:20increase it, you still have to go back and do possible that you have
- 15:24to go do medical. So if you had a policy in place ten years
- 15:28ago and you want more, they're probably gonna have to do medical on you
- 15:33again just to make sure because they don't. They don't want to give you
- 15:37know, most insurance is not going to give you a increase if you if
- 15:43you like terminal, you're not going to get that policy. You're not going
- 15:46to get that increase. So what what kind of life insurance should a middle
- 15:52age person get fifty years old and they're just getting life insurance? Is a
- 16:00type of life insurance they gain? Again, I'm a term life insurance girl.
- 16:04Invest the difference. Get that life insurance for him based on their life
- 16:08again, based on if they have a home, based on if they have
- 16:12children, a wife, or whatever. That's how we're gonna base it on.
- 16:17We're gonna we have some questions to ask to see where you are again,
- 16:22because again, life insurance is needed, It's a must. It's a
- 16:26legacy. Life insurance starts a legacy for your family as well. I mean,
- 16:30just think of master P. Master P, his grandfather left him a
- 16:33legacy of ten thousand dollars when he passed away. Look a look at master
- 16:37P. Now I'm not saying that that ten thousand on a day, but
- 16:41he started stuff. He started a business with that ten thousand dollars. Think
- 16:45about if you left a legacy for your child, your children, what they
- 16:48could do, because we all have ideas and dreams. If somebody left me
- 16:52a legacy, I'm gonna know what to do, and I'm gonna be happy.
- 16:56I'm gonna be sad again that they're gone. But i'mnna be always talking
- 17:00about my grandfather because he left me ten thousand dollars. Let's start my legacy.
- 17:04The life expectancy nowadays can be a little murky. Some older adults are
- 17:08living into the late nineties and some are and there are some individuals who are
- 17:14not living past their twenty first birthday. Why is there a difference in the
- 17:18amount of insurance and rates of insurance that an eighteen year old can be covered
- 17:22from and then an eighty year old. Because I'm saying it's like, you
- 17:26know, you can go at any age, and with what's happening around most
- 17:30of us, if not all of us, those there's some people who are
- 17:33not living past their twenty first But I'm looking at some older people and I
- 17:37don't want to I'll say legends. I call them legends who are living then
- 17:41into the eighties and nineties. But the insurance policy is the rate is different,
- 17:47wouldn't it or shouldn't it be higher for a younger person because they seem
- 17:52to be targeted more for a lot of the crimes that's going on. As
- 17:56you get you can get life because life is depend on your medical if you
- 18:00would, if you want good health, your medical your life insurance can be
- 18:03cheaper if you're younger. That's why I recommend kids start getting life insurance when
- 18:08they're young, even babies. People should put life insurance on. Babies can
- 18:12get Yeah, babies can get life insurance. I think when they're thirteen days
- 18:17old. Oh wow. And then um, if you have multiple children in
- 18:21the house that's less than twenty four, you get a policy for each one
- 18:26of those kids with one amount, paying one amount. I remember when we
- 18:30were young and we had whole life that our insurance man would come to our
- 18:34house. My mom had a book for each child. She had to pay
- 18:37a fee for each child. With my term, it's one fee for all
- 18:42those kids to be covered. Are you serious? So, because everybody know
- 18:48that I have a couple of kids, I have a couple of kids.
- 18:52I have insurance for my kids. I'm gonna say a little lower. I
- 18:55have insurance for my kids, but one fee is saying, yeah, they
- 19:00for all kids, all my kids was covered under me and only had to
- 19:03pay one fee for my children when they got older, the policy that they
- 19:07had went into their own individuals where they start paying their own life insurance policies
- 19:11so that it carries on to them. But what you had for them,
- 19:17that can move right over into them where it can be broken off and just
- 19:21they can continue it. So is there's something that they would have to do,
- 19:25like would they have to then do another medical if they increase it,
- 19:30they would have to do another medical. If they kept it where it is,
- 19:33they can it can go into their own policy because it's because it's just
- 19:37them, you know, single. But if they became with a family,
- 19:41then they would have to get a whole new policy with their family. Right,
- 19:45so they keep the same policy and then get an additional policy for them
- 19:49and their family. Can they have those two what the one of they had
- 19:52with me would be gone that I had with them, but they can start
- 19:56getting their own policy. Yes, Okay, wow, wow, Yeah,
- 20:02I'm just so into this right now. We're gonna take a commercial break,
- 20:04but I'm gonna pull out my policies and it's like to see what I can
- 20:08what can be done with them? I know I'm going to keep them,
- 20:11but I'm gonna look in there and and look a little bit better at the
- 20:15fine print because there I've had these policies for a while, so I'm gonna
- 20:18look at them and um, we're gonna be back with Veronica and and talk
- 20:22more about it. So we're gonna go into a commercial right now. Turn
- 20:44off good, I can tonight. I'm yeah, let's take a shower shower
- 21:07together. I wash your bubnick, you wash my heart, Dad me so
- 21:21much boil the same choice, turn off. Come girl, I want to
- 21:44give you a special treat. You're so sweet. Channel Wow. Well we're
- 21:56back with a rounda come Randolph, and we're talking about life insurance. And
- 22:02one of the questions I did ask was about medical examinations to get covered.
- 22:07And you mentioned something about terminal illness. So a person just say a person
- 22:12was already covered and they became very sick for whatever reason. Is there any
- 22:21policies that do medicals every month, like every couple of years, maybe because
- 22:27that person has reached that milestone of a different age bracket. Would they then
- 22:33do it, like say the person had coverage for at least fifteen twenty years
- 22:37and now they're over sixty five years of age. Would they requested that person
- 22:41do a new medical. No, you don't do them. You only do
- 22:47a new medical if you're trying to increase. Anytime you're trying to increase,
- 22:51that's when you're gonna do a new medical. Okay, So let me asks
- 22:55what I what I do. I don't know what other companies do, but
- 22:57what I do? You have your medical, you have your policy. If
- 23:03you're trying to get more, then you would have to do another medical.
- 23:08Okay. If the amount of person is covered on a life insurance policy?
- 23:15Um, is it based on race? So you can have two individuals one
- 23:21just say I'm just gonna throw something out there. No shade again to anybody
- 23:25African American and maybe Latino or or Caucasian. Would there and they're both the
- 23:32same age twenty five, work in the same types of jobs. Would it
- 23:34be more for one culture, one race than the other? No, it's
- 23:41not. It's truly based on your on your medical, your medical, do
- 23:48you smoke? You know, different stuff like that. We have they look
- 23:53at your they look at your medical while the under the underwriter look at all
- 24:00that Okay, So it's not like because you that you pay this or because
- 24:03you that you pay that. No, we have a question here is um
- 24:08They ask them why did some health conditions keep you from getting coverage? A
- 24:15person could be like say, chronic asthmatic, or a person could have in
- 24:19mask or a person could have um several palsy or something. Why would that
- 24:26stop you from getting coverage? Well, shouldn't stop you from getting coverage?
- 24:33Um? Well, sometimes it all depends. Like I said, that's not
- 24:37a question for me. That's a question for them from the underwriter. That's
- 24:41a question for somebody who goes into looking at your medical I don't I don't
- 24:45look into the medical I don't make a decision whether you are or you aren't
- 24:49approved. You know, that's just through your medical They look through your medical
- 24:53records. So a baby that was you said, thirteen days old, pament
- 25:00wants to cover that baby? Baby can't be covered. What if that baby
- 25:07was born as a substance exposed newborn that they had positive toxicology? What they
- 25:15cover that baby? Babies over thirteen days old? Now that's still for the
- 25:21underwriters to determine. Yeah, wow, that's a stringent strangent job what you
- 25:29mentioned it earlier. What are the penalties for borrowing against your policy? Or
- 25:32are their penalties for borrowing against you? I know you have to pay back
- 25:37some interest, but are there any other penalties. It's just the only penalties
- 25:44off the top of my head in reference to that, because I don't do
- 25:47cash value. But you have to pay those that interest back. If you
- 25:52don't, it's taken off, it's taken away from your policy. It's decreasing
- 25:56your policy. Is there any other reason that a person would be denied life
- 26:02insurance? Is there any reason why somebody would be denied and any other reason
- 26:07besides that medical? Is there any other reason? Sometimes if people just giving
- 26:11the wrong information? You know you you you said I you know, you
- 26:18said, I ask you do you do this? You said no? And
- 26:22I ask you mother questions and you said no. And you know you said
- 26:27no to everything that you know is true. But but but as a you
- 26:32know, as an agent, I you know, I gotta, I gotta,
- 26:34I gotta do what's right. I'm not putting down that you don't smoke,
- 26:38and I know you smoke. You know what I'm saying. I'm not
- 26:41jeopardizing me because I'm doing what's right. I'm doing what's right one hundred percent.
- 26:47Wow, I'm breaking that down to you one hundred percent as to what's
- 26:49right. That's like a person telling you that they don't smoke, they do
- 26:53a medical they got emptasy one. Yeah, And I'm in your house and
- 27:00I see that you're smoking, but you're putting down here. No, I
- 27:02put smoking yesterday. That's not gonna fly smoke yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 27:10because because if not, then then you know you I'm in trouble again.
- 27:15I'm doing us right. I want you to have insurance. I want you
- 27:19to be covered, but you're gonna be covered the right way. You're gonna
- 27:22be covered with the truth. Well, okay, you have life insurance from
- 27:27your job. Should you get additional coverage or it's having more coverage too much
- 27:30coverage, it's never too much. But if you have life insurance with your
- 27:36job, that life insurance that you have with your job is yours and everybody
- 27:40else that work on that job. So you need outside life insurance that's gonna
- 27:44protect you and your family. You're not even it's not even guaranteed that you're
- 27:48gonna get that life insurance off your job. It might be stipulation that you
- 27:52know, because you don't have paperwork on what type of life insurance you have,
- 27:57how much life insurance do I have? What is covered? You don't
- 28:00have that. So so somebody on the job could have passed away with one
- 28:04shoe on, one shoe off, and they'd be like, oh they did,
- 28:07oh well they didn't qualify because they didn't have both shoes or when they
- 28:11passed away. I mean that's just an example. I'm getting it. I'm
- 28:15just you know, it's an eye opener. They like, Wow, yeah,
- 28:19you definitely definitely need to be covered again because you are covered in your
- 28:25car and shoance, you're covered on your phone. Why not life? I
- 28:30mean, have your your life protected. It's not for you, it's for
- 28:33your family that meets that coverage. Some people, I think they believe if
- 28:37they have a car, their car is covered. They get into an accident,
- 28:41they get the money from the car, you know them from the accident.
- 28:45So I guess some people may be thinking that way, but you may
- 28:48not walk away from that. And all your families want to get is what
- 28:52you had from the accident, exactly, So I get it. How many
- 28:56beneficiaries can be on the policy how many one beneficiaries can be on a policy,
- 29:03you can have you can have your children. I mean, I mean
- 29:08you can have you can have a few. Yeah, you can have a
- 29:11few, but they have to be older. They can't be young kids.
- 29:15So you can't have a minor on your policies. Have a minor. You
- 29:18cannot. You cannot because because because if you passed away while they too,
- 29:22but they're gonna do with the money they don't have with it. But you
- 29:26can you can have somebody else. You can have your say, say you
- 29:30had your mother's your beneficiary. That's fine, and you have a young kid.
- 29:34But along with that, along with that policy, and I'm just going
- 29:40somewhere else, but we're not going to stay there. You can have your
- 29:41will, and in your will it states that my mother is a beneficiary,
- 29:48but X amount of dollars go to my daughter and my you know, to
- 29:52my child. I never knew that. I thought that if it was a
- 29:56minor and they were the beneficiary, you have I have to have a contingency
- 30:02policy or something like that. Would that be like the will that you're talking
- 30:06about. I thought it will be a contingency policy. You can have a
- 30:08contingency. You can have a contingency on your policy. I'm talking about my
- 30:12policy. I'm still on the term side. You can still have a content,
- 30:15but they got to be old enough because there's no way if something happened,
- 30:18they'll be able to take the money and know what to do if at
- 30:23their age. So that's why we don't do minors. Oh, I thought
- 30:29it was if it was a minor day. Because some people leave their life
- 30:33insurance policy to their grandchildren, and their grandchildren could be miners. Well,
- 30:41better to oversee that for them. Yeah, because it's not that ch'ad.
- 30:45You weren't taking care of that, y'all anyway. Well, well, then
- 30:47that's while you have a will and you specify what you want that money to
- 30:51go for and who you want that money to go to. This thirty thousand
- 30:56and you're will, you have that thirty thousand dollars is boom boom boom,
- 31:00eighty thousand dollars go hit, ten thousand dollars go towards his college, fifteen
- 31:03thousand dollars go to US so and so, blah blah blah. That's why
- 31:04you need to have a will as well. But that's another day, another
- 31:08subject. Is it a good idea to have end of life arrangements? You
- 31:14know, people have policies and some people don't look at making arrangements. They
- 31:19just figured I got twenty thousand dollars policy, and I don't need to make
- 31:23any kind of arrangements at all because I got the policy. I don't want
- 31:30to. I guess I am asking you that question. Yeah, well,
- 31:33I mean well, I mean you can because sometimes people don't know what to
- 31:37do with the money. So if you have a p everybody needs to check
- 31:44that. I'm gonna just say that the first ten people who call me at
- 31:48four four three six, five three one nine six six, we can sit
- 31:55down. We can go over your policy because you need to start checking your
- 31:57policy. How much is yours so that you will know and if you know
- 32:04that you don't have it, yes, that that end of life arrangement need
- 32:08to be made. You need to go to Kindom Prices and let's sit down
- 32:15and less invest so we can have that money. There the number money number
- 32:20number. Sure, it's four four three six, five three one nine six
- 32:29six four four three six five three one nine six six. Get a free
- 32:37gift, give me a call. We're gonna give you a free gift.
- 32:40But yes, you definitely need to write this stuff out. You know,
- 32:44back in the day we didn't have to do that, but nowadays we need
- 32:46to be clear. We need to be set up right so that when stuff
- 32:51happened, everything is in the order and decency and order. So I can
- 32:57help you do that. I can help you take you through those steps.
- 33:00It's not hard, it's not a lot of information, but there's a lot
- 33:05of information. But if you want to get it right, let's get it
- 33:08right. I've been getting a lot of information from you tonight. Um,
- 33:14just mind blown with some of the things I had not known myself. You
- 33:19know, you get a policy from work or you get it. You walk
- 33:21into a policy and you're thinking, oh, well, I'm covered. I
- 33:23got life insurance. You know they're talking, you know, some agents are
- 33:28talking to you, and it sounds like they're talking a good game, and
- 33:30yeah, you got you got coverage, and your your baby over here will
- 33:35be covered if something happens, and your spouse will be covered, and you
- 33:37know, everything looks good. Everything that they're saying sounds good. And then
- 33:42you're you're getting up from the table and you're saying, well, I'm covered.
- 33:45I'm good, I'm covered, But it still seems like there's that underlining
- 33:50thing not to say that they're trying to pull the wool over your Yeah,
- 33:52yeah something. It's just not right. It's just not right. Yeah you
- 33:58got you know. They always say it is not UM. What's how they
- 34:07say that's not what you care about? Is how you care? Show me
- 34:09that you care. I care because I want my people to be right.
- 34:13We we we we was in positions where we wasn't treated right or we didn't
- 34:16have the right information. So we just was getting this, this and this,
- 34:21and then at the end of the day when it was time for things
- 34:24to happen, it wasn't there. The amount they said wasn't there, so
- 34:30we stuck. We're doing go fund me, go fund me. Or is
- 34:34not a life insurance policy. Somebody you know who them been out here,
- 34:38had a life, worked all that life, had a good time with life,
- 34:43blah blah blah whatever, and now you want me to do or go
- 34:45fund me? Insurance is not to get your mind together and set that up.
- 34:53Yere question came up. Does the UM does a change from state to
- 35:00state because insurance change from state to state. No, No, I'm licensed
- 35:07in different states when I go through when I when I ensure somebody in South
- 35:10Carolina, North Carolina is the same as I'm doing here in Maryland, it's
- 35:15the same, all right. You know, you have so many people like
- 35:19you was mentioning with the go fund me. It's really not fair to leave
- 35:23it on your family to have to be right. They want to make sure
- 35:30that you put away in a respectful way, but you have to be able
- 35:35to have the funds behind in order for them to be able to do that
- 35:39for you. And if you pay for everything ahead of time, you know,
- 35:45then you know that you're you were put away, that you're going to
- 35:46be put away because you're not giving the money to taking it down. I
- 35:52believe to the place that you're choosing to take care of you once you're going.
- 35:57And then you get you know, you you look at everything. You
- 36:00can't even look at the coffin, the lining of your corfin or whatever how
- 36:04you want to go, whether you want to be cremated or whether you want
- 36:07to be laid out how you want to do. Some people are going so
- 36:08far as picking out these suits they closed there this, and I get that,
- 36:15I definitely get that because it's just more now than before that I've seen
- 36:20that happening. Yeah, And another thing was my the with my term insurance
- 36:28is that when Nan eleven happened, those insurance policies did not pay out,
- 36:36a lot of them policies did not pay out because in those policies to talk
- 36:40about a terrorist attack, if it's a terrorist attack, they didn't pay out.
- 36:45But our company, we paid every last one of our people. Every
- 36:50last one of our people were paid. I did not know that those families
- 36:53didn't get the money from one of them. Families did not. Yeah,
- 36:58that is the polo did not pay out. And then and then you hear
- 37:02like um black on TV when they be talking about different policies that you that
- 37:07I hear you know, you know, I just, I just, I
- 37:09just. I just do what's right all the time, one hundred percent by
- 37:14my client. I'm doing what's right. And I listened and I listened to
- 37:16on how they say you can get a policy, you don't have to do
- 37:20no medical blah blah blah. Yeah, I heard that where are you getting
- 37:24insurance? And they ain't and they ain't proven that whether you're sick or not.
- 37:31Let me ask. I know you had touched on it earlier. You
- 37:35gotta, yeah, we gotta, we gotta start thinking hind the world.
- 37:38They're gonna give you some fifty thousand, fifty five hundred thousand life insurance and
- 37:44you don't get a medical exam. Well, yeah, because somebody gonna off
- 37:47you real quick for that that kind of or you may do it yourself just
- 37:51so you can leave your family, you know the type of money. You
- 37:54know again, I'm going back to insurance for a younger person, insurance for
- 37:59an older person. At what age are you uninsurable? Because I know they
- 38:07capped it off at some age because some places will say eighty, it's like
- 38:12eighty. Mine is like what I do is eighty because at eighty you're not
- 38:15gonna get insurance. At eighty you're gonna be paying two three hundred dollars a
- 38:20month. You can take that money that you want to. You can take
- 38:23that money and invest it and let that money grow, and that go your
- 38:28money for your funeral right there. Now. Some people take out a policy
- 38:34just say they take out twenty I say, twenty thousand dollars policy and they've
- 38:38had it for a while, and then when you look at the time that
- 38:42they've had that policy, they've already paid that twenty thousand to pay twenty thousand
- 38:46dollars over and over and over again. This is why I do term.
- 38:51This is why I say, you don't need life insurance all your life.
- 38:55You just need it and invest the different and have your money invested in growing
- 39:02and when your term done, you got your cash right there, cash is
- 39:06king. You got your money there. So if I have insurance from one
- 39:10company and say its whole life your company, and transfer what I've had or
- 39:20it's just overweight from that company, h it's overweight right now. I don't
- 39:27love your company and I had whole and I want to change it over to
- 39:31term. Can I do that from what from my company? We I only
- 39:37minister term? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I only do I only
- 39:43do ter. Yeah. But you can. You can. You can even
- 39:46though you have a whole, you can still get a term. You know
- 39:50what I mean? Basically stuff like that. And let me I'm gonna just
- 39:52do it. Let me. Let me just do a visual example of what
- 39:57I mean when I say, hold, I just happened to be here,
- 40:00and it's some fruit. It's not going to be here, and it's some
- 40:01fruit in the house. Say this is whole life. This is the whole
- 40:07life policy that you have. And they say you have the cash value with
- 40:10it. Say this is fifty thousand dollars and I have my cash value too,
- 40:15right, and say I've never borrowed any money, so this is growing.
- 40:22And I have my fifty thousand and this is growing, right, And
- 40:27now you have the cash value and you have your fifty thousand dollars life of
- 40:30Jrance policy. Now if something, if you never borrowed any cash, well,
- 40:36if you borrow cash, you took some money out, this is going
- 40:39to decrease. Is not gonna be fifty anymore until you put all that money
- 40:44back in plus interest, and it still might not be fifty all the way
- 40:47yet. But if you have the whole life in the cash, and you
- 40:52never borrowed, and you have this cash value and you have this life with
- 40:55joy, and you was to pass away, which one you're getting You're getting
- 41:01that cash value or you're getting that fifty thousand dollars life inshore which one you're
- 41:06getting or what you're gonna get because you're not getting both of them. You're
- 41:14getting It's like you gotta red bottoms and now you're gonna passed away. You're
- 41:20only gonna wear one because the other one, because the other one going straight
- 41:24to the insurance company. So why not about term invest the difference and you
- 41:31will always have both of them the value keep. You're gonna keep investor.
- 41:38This stuck a gonna get high. Well, I'm glad that I already had
- 41:44to tell me number. You know where you live. So some go wrong
- 41:49with my policy, I can just check on over there. But you gave
- 41:53me a lot to think about, a whole lot to think about, and
- 41:58I'm gonna definitely talk to my family about They don't have to tell me what
- 42:00policy they have and what times. They don't even have to tell me that
- 42:04they made me the beneficiary. They don't have to tell me that. We
- 42:08just want to know that you are covered, because everybody don't want to put
- 42:14in there to make sure you Okay, you know what I mean. Everybody
- 42:16don't want to cover you at that time. I don't want to cover you,
- 42:21and some people might even be I don't want to take care of your
- 42:23kids either. But if they know that you are covered and you left for
- 42:28legacy and you left the money for your kids, okay, I'll take in
- 42:30your kids because down you got money, because I ain't. I don't have
- 42:34the money to take care of your kids. So we have to start thinking
- 42:37better and asking the questions. We have to get out of that old funk
- 42:45and start to realign where we're at now. You know, we won't forget
- 42:51where we came from, but a lot of that that's not working for now
- 42:54because time has changed. Things have changed. Yes, yeah, so again,
- 43:00you have her number here four four three six five three nineteen sixty six.
- 43:07You can contact her number. Please, it's no charge. Contact me.
- 43:15Let's have a convocation, Let's have the conversation. Let's have some money,
- 43:20UM, some money. UM parties. You know we can always do
- 43:24um anything. We had possible parties, we had makeup parties. Let's have
- 43:29some final three parties. Let's just get on point. Let's just change up.
- 43:35Let's let's just change the dynamic so that we can get better because we
- 43:38can. We don't have to live in poverty. Not saying that everybody people
- 43:42do what I'm just saying. We don't have to live here. We can
- 43:45grow because anybody else growing. Why are we not growing? We work every
- 43:49day, money, we teach you how money works. We show you what
- 43:52to do with the money, how to make the money work for you.
- 43:57Because life want to be good. You want to go on vacation and not
- 44:00take the rent money. You want to be able to do things. But
- 44:05if you don't understand money, you'll keep hitting the wall. You keep getting
- 44:08paid on Friday, and you broke Friday night, and then you start talking
- 44:12about in two weeks what I'm gonna do with the money when I get it.
- 44:15We don't have to be that anymore. We can learn the game.
- 44:19I know the rules to the game. Now. We never knew the rules.
- 44:22We never knew the rules. I know the rules. Let me teach
- 44:24you the rules. I appreciate that our information. Is there any other way
- 44:30that they can content un you offer that if they? Oh, somebody has
- 44:35a question. Why does the funeral home try to take most of your policy
- 44:37when you pass away? Why? What? Why does the funeral home try
- 44:43to take most of your policy when you pass away? Because you're not prepared.
- 44:47I'm gonna just say that because you're not prepared. You're not prepared.
- 44:52If you prepare, they ain't gonna take it because they know you're gonna be
- 44:54like, Oh, that ain't right. I ain't gonna do that. Bloh
- 44:59whatever. Not prepared, you want to get prepared. Let's get prepared,
- 45:05because Paul, I do believe I do. Once you get up, once
- 45:08you get that, feel wrong your policy. They do whatever they want to
- 45:12do. But if you get prepared ahead of time, you already have stuff
- 45:15lined upset up what you want. You know, you will be at peace
- 45:22in your mind, will be at peace because because at that point you already
- 45:24like this because someone passed away, you love. But if I had stuff
- 45:29in order, I'm like this because I got my stuff in order. So
- 45:36yeah, start you know, my my myum my prayer is that we get
- 45:40our kids um covered. We'll start getting our kids covered because our kids is
- 45:46leaving this world too fast right now. Let's get our family protected. Let's
- 45:51get our kids covered. It's not a lot we waste money every day.
- 45:54Let's get our kids covered. Yeah, a couple of coffee. Won't say
- 45:59what place you getting DIF from, but a cup of coffee, you can
- 46:00start adding it up. You're getting it every day. Put that money aside
- 46:05to help with that life insurance policy. Yes, say, man, I
- 46:07see that, I see that. Now you offered something in the beginning again.
- 46:14Yes, yes, let's change the world. Let's get our cultural knowing
- 46:20what we need to know about insurance. Let's get our culture ready. So
