- 0:00Speaker 1: Steve, you have some special closing remarks for us. Yeah,
- 0:03Speaker 1: you know. Oh, you know, had a week off from television,
- 0:08Speaker 1: and so after the radio show, I spent a lot
- 0:13Speaker 1: of time by myself and I we were joking about
- 0:17Speaker 1: this morning about what is it you think people don't
- 0:19Speaker 1: know about you? And how much I enjoy being alone.
- 0:22Speaker 1: I love the solitude of being able to think my
- 0:25Speaker 1: own thoughts and do like I want to do. And
- 0:30Speaker 1: it was something I discovered and it's just recently that
- 0:36Speaker 1: I'm fully starting to master this thing that I've come
- 0:40Speaker 1: to understand, and I'm gonna share it with you because
- 0:44Speaker 1: I wish I had got a grip on this earlier.
- 0:48Speaker 1: You know. Every since I recently decided, and it was
- 0:52Speaker 1: about about six weeks ago, to be exact, I was
- 0:57Speaker 1: really really going through something, man. I was really really
- 1:02Speaker 1: trying to figure something out. I was trying to maneuver
- 1:05Speaker 1: my way through a section of life, and it was
- 1:10Speaker 1: causing me to not sleep well. I was tossing and turning.
- 1:13Speaker 1: I was going through it, and one day I was
- 1:19Speaker 1: just I was asking God to help me with that,
- 1:23Speaker 1: to put my mind at peace. So as I was
- 1:26Speaker 1: reading my morning meditation and going through my YouTube channels
- 1:30Speaker 1: of motivation. Something enlightened me to the fact that anxiety
- 1:38Speaker 1: is usually caused by something you have no control over,
- 1:42Speaker 1: which is either your past or your future, because you
- 1:45Speaker 1: can do nothing about neither one of those. And it
- 1:49Speaker 1: was saying, if you want I was reading my manual
- 1:52Speaker 1: called Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. I recommend this book
- 1:55Speaker 1: to everybody that's a Christian, and I was going through
- 1:59Speaker 1: this and it was saying that if you want to
- 2:02Speaker 1: find peace in your life, if you want to have
- 2:05Speaker 1: true peace of mind, take all your problems, your situations,
- 2:09Speaker 1: your concerns, and turn them over to God. Now that's
- 2:16Speaker 1: not as simple as it sounds, but it really is
- 2:20Speaker 1: as simple as it sounds. Because what made it difficult
- 2:24Speaker 1: for me was because I'm always been a hands on person.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I've always been what I thought was actively involved in
- 2:32Speaker 1: shaping my future and making my plans. But in actuality,
- 2:38Speaker 1: God has already planned my life. God already has a structure.
- 2:43Speaker 1: He wants, a plan, a guideline, a blueprint that he
- 2:47Speaker 1: wants me to follow. The problem was I kept interfering
- 2:51Speaker 1: with the blueprint. I kept sitting down with the greatest
- 2:55Speaker 1: architecture ever known to man and was actually telling him
- 3:00Speaker 1: how to design something. Man, God don't need your help,
- 3:05Speaker 1: Steve Harvey. He really doesn't. And over the past six weeks,
- 3:11Speaker 1: I've found a measure of peace that I haven't had
- 3:14Speaker 1: in my whole life. And I wish I understood this earlier.
- 3:20Speaker 1: If you take your troubles, if you take your woes,
- 3:24Speaker 1: if you take your concerns, if you take your hope
- 3:28Speaker 1: and your aspirations and your dreams, and you tell them
- 3:32Speaker 1: to God, but you hand it over to him and
- 3:37Speaker 1: ask God to allder your steps, y'all, the peace that
- 3:42Speaker 1: it provides for you mentally is unmeasurable. You can't imagine.
- 3:51Speaker 1: The closer you get to God, the more peace you
- 3:54Speaker 1: will find. I'm telling you, y'all. And I know this
- 3:58Speaker 1: might sound hokey some people I've heard that before, but no, no, no,
- 4:02Speaker 1: have you ever really tried it? Have you ever really
- 4:05Speaker 1: tried really taking it to God and leaving it there.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Because the more I've practiced that, the more peace I've found.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Do you know, man, that God has plans for you.
- 4:21Speaker 1: There's a scripture in Jeremiah that says, for I know
- 4:25Speaker 1: the plans I have for you, declares the Lord plans
- 4:29Speaker 1: to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to
- 4:33Speaker 1: give you hope and the future. I think that's Jeremiah
- 4:40Speaker 1: twenty ninety eleven. That scripture is so important because God
- 4:47Speaker 1: really does mean to prosper you and cause you no harm,
- 4:52Speaker 1: But you got to get out of the way. You
- 4:56Speaker 1: know what destroys peace excessive place planning, because you know what,
- 5:03Speaker 1: have you ever planned something so much and then woke
- 5:06Speaker 1: up the next day and it didn't go to plan? Man?
- 5:10Speaker 1: Do you know how many times you have planned your
- 5:13Speaker 1: future and how many times it didn't go that way?
- 5:18Speaker 1: Do you know that excessive planning is one of the
- 5:23Speaker 1: great robbers of peace because now you are trying to
- 5:26Speaker 1: do something that you have no control over, which is
- 5:29Speaker 1: your future. Y'all. The moment I stopped doing that, the
- 5:35Speaker 1: more peace I found in my life. Even when trials
- 5:40Speaker 1: come up, it diminishes right in front of me because
- 5:46Speaker 1: I'm not concerned about it. Because whatever this trial is,
- 5:50Speaker 1: I'm gonna give it to God, and I mean truly
- 5:54Speaker 1: give it to Him and stop worrying about it. And
- 5:57Speaker 1: it has given me a measure of peace, man, that
- 5:59Speaker 1: I've never known before. I wish I had understood this earlier.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I'm giving it to you for you ought to start
- 6:06Speaker 1: that practice, to start taking it to God and giving
- 6:10Speaker 1: it to it. And I'm telling you the peace is immeasurable.
- 6:14Speaker 1: That you will find it is an amazing thing, man,
- 6:18Speaker 1: just a food for thought. I probably talk more on
- 6:21Speaker 1: this subject, but that can help you in your life,
- 6:25Speaker 1: It really really can. Those are my clothes remarks. They
- 6:27Speaker 1: have yourself with great data. Okay, I'm telling you now,
- 6:32Speaker 1: talk to God today. I'd absolutely love to hear from
- 6:34Speaker 1: your peace. For all Steve Harvey contests, no purchase necessary,
