- 0:04Speaker 1: NFL Game Deview is a production of the NFL in
- 0:06Speaker 1: partnership with iHeartRadio.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Everybody, Welcome to Game Debut twenty twenty four edition, presented
- 0:11Speaker 2: by Mercedes Benz, Patrick Claybound Here with Greg Rosenthal and
- 0:14Speaker 2: Cynthia Freeland.
- 0:15Speaker 3: We are back, Grandy. It is week one.
- 0:17Speaker 4: Let's do my favorite week of the year.
- 0:19Speaker 5: Because every team is just a beautiful baby, like you
- 0:22Speaker 5: don't know what they're gonna bring. They're not gonna disappoint you.
- 0:24Speaker 5: Yet every game is amazing and being back with you
- 0:27Speaker 5: too is amazing.
- 0:28Speaker 4: Guys.
- 0:28Speaker 6: I missed you. I love you guys. This is my
- 0:30Speaker 6: favorite show to be on. And you guys behind the
- 0:32Speaker 6: camera too.
- 0:33Speaker 7: This is great. Let's get going.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Yeah, all of you watching, even the babies who turned
- 0:36Speaker 2: out to disappoint Greg, all of you all right, welcome.
- 0:39Speaker 2: By speaking of disappointing, what about my finish to the
- 0:41Speaker 2: picks last season? That's look at the picks of twenty
- 0:44Speaker 2: twenty three.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Greg Rose Crowning.
- 0:46Speaker 4: Put that crowd on one hundred and.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Eighty of one oh five three games. And Cynthia who
- 0:51Speaker 2: trouts me as I tried to make a comfort. But Cynthia,
- 0:53Speaker 2: you have a theory as to what we need to do.
- 0:56Speaker 7: We both need to take an ugly photo like that.
- 0:58Speaker 5: Oh that's the cow Dare you I listen? I won
- 1:01Speaker 5: the year before with a different ugly photo. Back to back,
- 1:04Speaker 5: Let's make a three.
- 1:05Speaker 7: You have such a beautiful face. Why are you making
- 1:07Speaker 7: that terrible look?
- 1:09Speaker 2: Sometimes you got a sandbag. You know, he's got to
- 1:11Speaker 2: come down to the rest of us. That's just the
- 1:13Speaker 2: world that we're living in.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Let's saw some ball Niners coming up. Just shortened last
- 1:17Speaker 3: year's Super Bowl.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Patrick Mahomes found Mikole Hardman for a walk off touchdown
- 1:20Speaker 2: in overtime. Casey wins it twenty five to twenty two,
- 1:23Speaker 2: second time in five years.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Kyle Shanahan's team just.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Missed out on hoisting the Lombardi Trophy. And we look ahead.
- 1:32Speaker 2: That was the last game. Now we got a new game.
- 1:34Speaker 2: It's a new season. The forty nine ers are still
- 1:36Speaker 2: in that Super Bowl window they open up Monday night
- 1:39Speaker 2: versus some guy Aaron Aron, what do you see taking place?
- 1:43Speaker 5: Well, you mentioned a rod and I see the forty
- 1:46Speaker 5: nine Ers winning this game. Because, as one of our
- 1:48Speaker 5: great modern philosophers, James Harden once said, I'm not a
- 1:53Speaker 5: system player.
- 1:54Speaker 4: I am. The system is Aaron.
- 1:56Speaker 5: Rodgers is the ultimate system, and I'm just curious what
- 2:01Speaker 5: system he's gonna be this year. Is he gonna be
- 2:03Speaker 5: this uttering system that held onto the ball a little
- 2:06Speaker 5: too long in twenty twenty two when he was a
- 2:09Speaker 5: pretty average quarterback. He is a guy who likes to
- 2:13Speaker 5: see what's in front of him and figure it out himself.
- 2:15Speaker 5: Can he play within the context of the offense. What
- 2:18Speaker 5: I'm watching for in this game is how quickly the
- 2:20Speaker 5: ball comes out of Aaron Rodgers's hands, because if he's
- 2:23Speaker 5: not trusting what he's seeing with Nathaniel Hackett, I think
- 2:25Speaker 5: he's gonna have a long night. I just trust this
- 2:28Speaker 5: forty nine Ers defense in this team a little bit more.
- 2:31Speaker 5: They get the win, but they don't get it by
- 2:33Speaker 5: four and a half. So I do think the Jets
- 2:35Speaker 5: covering this one.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Okay, I also think the forty nine Ers win, but
- 2:38Speaker 2: I do disagree. I think the forty nine Ers I
- 2:40Speaker 2: get the win, and that spread not a particular issue
- 2:43Speaker 2: twenty four to twenty excuse me to eighteen because the
- 2:47Speaker 2: forty Nineers bring back most of the defense was top
- 2:49Speaker 2: ten in pressures in twenty twenty three.
- 2:51Speaker 3: And doing so, they add Leonard Floyd.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Do you guys know who Leonard Floyd had the most
- 2:55Speaker 2: sacks against while playing for the Buffalo Bills.
- 2:58Speaker 3: It's the Need It's the New York Jets. He had
- 3:00Speaker 3: four to go with five quarterback hits.
- 3:03Speaker 2: I believe in the Jets, but projecting out over the
- 3:06Speaker 2: course of the season, this is a tough one for me.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Niners win twenty four.
- 3:09Speaker 5: It would have been such a letdown if you were
- 3:10Speaker 5: like it was the Jaguars.
- 3:12Speaker 4: What are you doing?
- 3:13Speaker 6: You guys are I think you're crazy because I actually
- 3:16Speaker 6: have the Jets taking this all who and not by
- 3:19Speaker 6: some tricky like you know, only four points, not four
- 3:21Speaker 6: and a half points. I have it all the way,
- 3:24Speaker 6: twenty two to twenty one, a very convincing win.
- 3:26Speaker 7: One whole point.
- 3:27Speaker 6: When I'm looking at this one, I'm looking at Breese
- 3:29Speaker 6: Hall and the difference that this O line is going
- 3:31Speaker 6: to bring to the game. I understand, you know, Aaron
- 3:34Speaker 6: Rodgers where you have to see what we're gonna get
- 3:36Speaker 6: from him. That was a major situation with his achilles
- 3:39Speaker 6: last year. However, you know it wasn't a major situation
- 3:42Speaker 6: Bree's Hall. This guy had five games with nine or
- 3:44Speaker 6: more targets last season. Next closest running back had to
- 3:47Speaker 6: Tyron Smith. He's up front and by the way, he
- 3:50Speaker 6: had one hundred and forty six rushing yards over expected.
- 3:53Speaker 6: That ranked number five last season. So come on, guys
- 3:57Speaker 6: like Breece Hall, He's gonna start your fantasy team off right.
- 4:00Speaker 4: You got the.
- 4:01Speaker 5: Fantasy to the fantasy show. This is the reality and.
- 4:04Speaker 7: You know what the reality is.
- 4:05Speaker 6: He's going to run you to a fantasy and reality championship.
- 4:09Speaker 3: We do shoot fantasy live.
- 4:11Speaker 7: Me and Cynthia sitt actually literally in this room.
- 4:13Speaker 2: So it could be in theory because Greg, you know,
- 4:16Speaker 2: built Rottal World brick Pride fiction.
- 4:17Speaker 3: How at that?
- 4:19Speaker 2: Moving to the Rams and the Lions teams facing off
- 4:21Speaker 2: in last year's wildcard round, it was a special moment
- 4:24Speaker 2: for Cynthia and other Detroit fans. All due respect to
- 4:27Speaker 2: the nineteen ninety two Lions. We don't have to hear
- 4:29Speaker 2: about you anymore. The rematch coming up Sunday night, Cynthia
- 4:33Speaker 2: does the same outcome take place, not the.
- 4:35Speaker 6: Same score, so twenty nine to twenty three, but Lions
- 4:39Speaker 6: take this one.
- 4:40Speaker 7: We're starting off's strong.
- 4:41Speaker 6: I rarely like I used to not like picking the Lions, but.
- 4:43Speaker 7: Now I love it. Let's go Rory. That's the mascot.
- 4:47Speaker 7: You're gonna hear it.
- 4:48Speaker 6: You're all season long. When I'm looking at Jared Goff
- 4:51Speaker 6: and what he's done. Okay, sacked on just twelve point
- 4:53Speaker 6: nine percent of his pressure dropbacks last season, second lowest race.
- 4:56Speaker 7: So you got to remember, this is an O line.
- 4:58Speaker 7: They returned four starters, maybe the best O line in football.
- 5:01Speaker 6: That's how I have them ranked, that's how PFF has
- 5:04Speaker 6: them ranked, and second highest passer rating when not pressured
- 5:07Speaker 6: last season. That's going to continue because you know who's
- 5:10Speaker 6: not there, The man who deserves a lot of respects,
- 5:12Speaker 6: Aaron Donald.
- 5:12Speaker 7: But I'm so glad that he.
- 5:14Speaker 6: Is now on his couch watching with us like a
- 5:16Speaker 6: normal thank you for that.
- 5:19Speaker 5: I like the Lions in this game, too, but I
- 5:21Speaker 5: do not like them by as much. I think it's
- 5:22Speaker 5: twenty seven twenty three, that's too many points. But when
- 5:25Speaker 5: you look at this Lions team, Cynthia mentioned it up front.
- 5:27Speaker 5: The offensive line is the offensive line of Daniel Campbell's dreams.
- 5:33Speaker 5: I mean, this is it. This is what they've been
- 5:34Speaker 5: building towards. Every year they get a little bit better.
- 5:38Speaker 5: The offensive line has the continuity, and Jamier Gibbs was
- 5:40Speaker 5: great as a rookie. He is going to be even
- 5:42Speaker 5: better in year two. It's the best second running back
- 5:45Speaker 5: in David Montgomery in the entire league. And yes, I
- 5:48Speaker 5: think Gibbs is going to be the true number one.
- 5:49Speaker 5: And when you look at under center runs old school
- 5:52Speaker 5: football number three in the NFL last year according to
- 5:55Speaker 5: Next Gen Stats, the Rams really struggled defending runs in
- 5:59Speaker 5: that situation. They have seven new starters. So think of
- 6:02Speaker 5: the continuity that the Lions have up front and think
- 6:05Speaker 5: of all the new starters. Yeah, the rookies are gonna
- 6:07Speaker 5: be good, but they've never played a complete game.
- 6:09Speaker 4: I don't think they're ready for this.
- 6:10Speaker 7: Did you do this year? Jared Go?
- 6:12Speaker 4: You gotta do it, Jared GoF.
- 6:15Speaker 5: I never thought that would have happened when I was
- 6:17Speaker 5: watching him, kind of like get buried by Sean McVay
- 6:20Speaker 5: here in LA.
- 6:21Speaker 2: And that's the thing. It's revenge in multiple aspects. He's
- 6:23Speaker 2: good enough for Detroit and he's good enough to get
- 6:26Speaker 2: the win for me. But I also agree that four
- 6:28Speaker 2: and a half points feels got of rich with the
- 6:30Speaker 2: with the Rams coming to town. So I have it
- 6:33Speaker 2: twenty eight to twenty five Rams covering, but they're doing
- 6:37Speaker 2: so because it's just difficult to watch nine in blue
- 6:41Speaker 2: throw the ball and not.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Pick the Rams.
- 6:43Speaker 2: In fact, over the course of the week, I'm thinking Rams,
- 6:45Speaker 2: Rams Ram. Yeah, good news about Darius Williams. Start to
- 6:48Speaker 2: think a little bit harder about this Rams defense.
- 6:50Speaker 4: Darius Williams changed your pick their foreigner back.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, because you gotta stop Jared's Jared golf. But
- 6:57Speaker 2: Cooper cup Pooka Nakua, Matthew Stafford, they're gonna score points.
- 7:00Speaker 3: They're gonna have to. But also we're all aboard Mimus Away.
- 7:04Speaker 6: Everybody in Detroit loves Matthew Stafford too, and everybody in
- 7:06Speaker 6: Detroit was cheering for Matthew Stafford in the Super Bowl
- 7:09Speaker 6: and maybe that carried them to victory. But now you know,
- 7:12Speaker 6: thank you for your service. We love you, Matthew Stafford.
- 7:14Speaker 6: Glad you don't have Aaron donald sull.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Best of luck in all your future endeavors other than
- 7:19Speaker 2: this one playoff rematch should be fun, but also fun
- 7:22Speaker 2: things we haven't seen before, like Kirk Cousins playing for
- 7:26Speaker 2: the Atlanta Falcons.
- 7:27Speaker 3: This was the social.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Media, just frenzy kirk O chains walking the dirty Birds.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Then they'd go on and draft Michael Pennox Junior, who
- 7:37Speaker 2: was actually born two years after Jamal Landerson made that
- 7:40Speaker 2: dance famous. Funny enough four year, one hundred and eighty
- 7:43Speaker 2: million dollar contract. Now, kirk Oh's Falcons playhost to Arthur
- 7:47Speaker 2: Smith's revenge Leyden Pittsburgh Steelers. They have some new quarterbacks
- 7:50Speaker 2: on their own, Russell Wilson deal with a calf injury.
- 7:53Speaker 3: I'm gonna kick things off for us here. I like
- 7:55Speaker 3: Kirk and Atlanta.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Nineteen to seventeen because we just talked about the rams
- 8:02Speaker 2: and departure of their defensive coordinator comes over and he
- 8:05Speaker 2: inherits a defense that was top three in rushing efficiency
- 8:08Speaker 2: on the defensive side to counter Arthur Smith. And then
- 8:11Speaker 2: we finally get to see Drake London and Kyle Pitts
- 8:14Speaker 2: with one of the more accurate passers in the entire
- 8:17Speaker 2: league despite playing only eight games last year, if Kirk
- 8:20Speaker 2: Cousins had more touchdown passes, the Atlanta Falcons has his
- 8:24Speaker 2: entire team this season. I'm going with Kirk and the Falcons, Synthea.
- 8:29Speaker 6: I like it, and I'm even more convinced than you.
- 8:31Speaker 6: I have twenty five to twenty in this matchup. I
- 8:33Speaker 6: want to talk about the Atlanta Falcons defense and some
- 8:36Speaker 6: things that they did kind of the last minute that
- 8:38Speaker 6: really shifted their entire season win totals up. And that's
- 8:41Speaker 6: talking about adding to Jesse Bates, the guy who had
- 8:44Speaker 6: six interceptions last year, third most.
- 8:46Speaker 7: In the NFL. Senat A.
- 8:47Speaker 6: J Terrell, added Justin Simmons, added edge Matthew Judon, plus
- 8:51Speaker 6: point two wins to their entire season win total in
- 8:55Speaker 6: twenty four hours.
- 8:56Speaker 7: That's fantastic. And by the way, if.
- 8:59Speaker 6: Russell Wilson does play, if he's the one that play action,
- 9:02Speaker 6: they've got a good play action stopper. Because they allowed
- 9:04Speaker 6: eleven touchdowns to play action last year, which was high,
- 9:08Speaker 6: and now they've addressed it by bringing in Simmons adding
- 9:11Speaker 6: to Bates.
- 9:13Speaker 7: Come on, you, you don't seem.
- 9:14Speaker 4: Con it's all exciting, it's.
- 9:16Speaker 6: Easy new Who wants to be happy?
- 9:18Speaker 4: No, I want to be right. I'm happy when I'm right.
- 9:21Speaker 5: I'm going to be right because I'm taking the Steelers
- 9:23Speaker 5: of this game. I'm going to play a game of
- 9:25Speaker 5: who do you trust? I trust the Pittsburgh Steelers in
- 9:30Speaker 5: this game. Let's just go through the other options of
- 9:32Speaker 5: who you could trust. You know, put the Steelers tape up,
- 9:34Speaker 5: I want to see it. But talk about the Falcons offense. Okay,
- 9:38Speaker 5: a guy coming off in Achilles who's been as up
- 9:40Speaker 5: and down as anyone. Nope, the Falcons defense couldn't really
- 9:43Speaker 5: do anything all of last year. A bunch of new pieces, Nope,
- 9:46Speaker 5: Steelers offense, don't really trust them either. I trust these guys, though, TJ. Watt,
- 9:52Speaker 5: Alex Heismith, let's throw her big in there. We got
- 9:55Speaker 5: Keanu Benton in the middle, we got Cameron Hayward, Like.
- 9:59Speaker 4: This is who we trust?
- 10:01Speaker 5: And yeah, I think it's a big deal coming off
- 10:03Speaker 5: an Achille for a guy in his mid thirties.
- 10:06Speaker 4: Everyone's just brushing that aside.
- 10:07Speaker 5: And Kyle Pitts, Oh, he's gonna be Kyle Pitts again,
- 10:09Speaker 5: like he's got an injury already. And then I just
- 10:12Speaker 5: ask you this, viewers, who do you trust? Because back
- 10:16Speaker 5: to back years I won it, these two didn't.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Let's do it first.
- 10:21Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm all year, just greg it up. Take the
- 10:23Speaker 5: Steelers with me.
- 10:24Speaker 4: Let's go.
- 10:25Speaker 7: It's like a political game.
- 10:26Speaker 4: Yeah that's right.
- 10:27Speaker 7: Good for me. I'm Greg just Greg.
- 10:29Speaker 2: I trust Greg, but I mean I liked I like
- 10:33Speaker 2: the Falcons here we're gonna find out looking forward to that.
- 10:35Speaker 3: We're just getting started here on game debut.
- 10:37Speaker 2: More games coming up, including Dak and the Boys heading
- 10:41Speaker 2: to Cleveland for a date with the Browns, a high
- 10:43Speaker 2: powered offense. Now he got CD signed, sealed and delivered,
- 10:47Speaker 2: but the Miles Garritton Company might have something to say
- 10:49Speaker 2: about that.
- 10:50Speaker 3: We give our picks. Coming up next, it.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Is signed from the Drive to Excellence presented by Mercedes Bins.
- 10:57Speaker 2: The Cowboys and Browns squaring off in Cleveland in Week one,
- 11:01Speaker 2: Dallas coming off three straight.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Twelve win seasons. They they kick off twenty twenty four
- 11:05Speaker 3: with a W grook.
- 11:06Speaker 5: I say, no, I'm going Browns twenty three, twenty one.
- 11:09Speaker 5: I don't take the Browns too often, and I struggled
- 11:12Speaker 5: with this pick, but I took the Browns because I
- 11:13Speaker 5: thought of Tyler Geitton going up against Miles Garrett and
- 11:17Speaker 5: this Browns pass rush. You know what they said about
- 11:19Speaker 5: Guyton coming out of college and he look he looked
- 11:21Speaker 5: good in training camp in the preseason. They're like, well,
- 11:23Speaker 5: he's a raw prospect with a lot of tools. He's
- 11:25Speaker 5: gonna need some time to develop. How about week one
- 11:28Speaker 5: going up against Miles Garrett and oh yeah, maybe he's
- 11:31Speaker 5: a Darius Smith. You throw in the mix too. We
- 11:33Speaker 5: got a center that's also a rookie on the offensive
- 11:36Speaker 5: line for the Cowboys, Cooper Bebe and I just think
- 11:39Speaker 5: Jim Schwartz, and this front is going to present a
- 11:41Speaker 5: lot of issues put back under pressure. This was a
- 11:44Speaker 5: Cowboys team that didn't have a lot of CD LAMB
- 11:47Speaker 5: in the training camp. Maybe this is more of a
- 11:48Speaker 5: preseason game for them. They lose it twenty three to twenty.
- 11:51Speaker 5: But again, I I have zero confidence and this is
- 11:53Speaker 5: one I have to admit.
- 11:54Speaker 6: This is probably my closest one too, Actually it is.
- 11:57Speaker 6: I just remember that twenty three to twenty two is
- 12:00Speaker 6: my final score here. But I want to remind everyone
- 12:02Speaker 6: that this is a nice revenge game for one Amari Cooper,
- 12:06Speaker 6: who we already know led the Browns last season with
- 12:09Speaker 6: over twelve hundred yards.
- 12:10Speaker 7: But by the way, did you know.
- 12:11Speaker 6: That he ranked second in the NFL in terms of
- 12:14Speaker 6: vertical route so corner go po post wheel six and
- 12:18Speaker 6: twenty nine and only Tyreek Hill had more yards than
- 12:21Speaker 6: him on such routes. Now you have Mike Zimmer on
- 12:24Speaker 6: that defense, some defensive pieces have changed. He's less of
- 12:27Speaker 6: a single high guy than Dan Quinn, which means better
- 12:30Speaker 6: feasting for Amari Cooper averaged over seventeen yards per reception
- 12:34Speaker 6: last season.
- 12:35Speaker 7: I like revenge. Ken Dorsey likes revenge.
- 12:37Speaker 3: Let's go Yeah, a solid number two.
- 12:40Speaker 2: I mean, wow, I can't the Dallas Cowboys could have
- 12:43Speaker 2: really used a wide receiver like Amaron Cooper in these
- 12:45Speaker 2: past couple of years to be on the other side
- 12:47Speaker 2: of one CD Lamb, who I don't think forgot how
- 12:50Speaker 2: to play football so unlike Greg, I think Cede Lamb's
- 12:53Speaker 2: ability is a big part of why I've got the
- 12:55Speaker 2: Dallas Cowboys getting to win twenty to seventeen here in
- 12:58Speaker 2: this game, because that can get rid of the ball early.
- 13:00Speaker 2: And in terms of playing against man coverage, no receiver
- 13:04Speaker 2: in the NFL had more success against man coverage than
- 13:08Speaker 2: one ced Lamb.
- 13:09Speaker 3: He had so much production last year. Dallas gets twenty
- 13:13Speaker 3: twenty is enough for me.
- 13:16Speaker 2: I also think Mike Zimmer is gonna fix them, especially
- 13:18Speaker 2: in the run game, because we saw Green Bay come
- 13:20Speaker 2: in and absolutely run all over Dallas in the playoffs.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Dallas still getting punished in the picks for the late
- 13:25Speaker 2: postseason loss, But did you guys see the Texans against
- 13:28Speaker 2: the Browns that didn't necessarily go that pretty as well?
- 13:32Speaker 2: Really looking forward to seeing Dak and the Cowboys come
- 13:34Speaker 2: out in this one. But a guy I'm even more
- 13:36Speaker 2: excited to watch Sunday is the reigning offensive.
- 13:40Speaker 3: Rookie of the Year CJ. Stroud.
- 13:41Speaker 7: C J.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Stroud electric in his rookie season.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Early on Week two of last year, he threw for
- 13:46Speaker 2: three hundred and seventy four yards but lost greg to
- 13:49Speaker 2: Athony Richardson, who was back and healthy.
- 13:51Speaker 3: How do you see this one going?
- 13:52Speaker 5: I think the Texans win this game thirty to twenty six.
- 13:56Speaker 5: And look on NFL Daily this week, great new podcast,
- 13:59Speaker 5: you should check it out.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Daniel Jeremiah called CJ.
- 14:02Speaker 5: Stroud similar to Joe Burrow, but maybe even with the
- 14:05Speaker 5: better arm. Does that get you excited about c J.
- 14:08Speaker 5: Stroud going into his second year? Think about what Joe
- 14:10Speaker 5: Burrow did from year one to year two. When you
- 14:13Speaker 5: think about the smartest quarterbacks in the league, like, yeah,
- 14:15Speaker 5: he was smart last year figuring me out coverages. That's
- 14:17Speaker 5: when you take the biggest sleep. I think he can
- 14:19Speaker 5: go next level. And yeah again this podcast, by the way,
- 14:23Speaker 5: I'm gonna have stars on every week like Patrick Claybot
- 14:25Speaker 5: and Cynthia Frieland. They're gonna be improving from year one
- 14:28Speaker 5: to year two on the podcast. Game, I don't know
- 14:30Speaker 5: what I'm talking about here.
- 14:31Speaker 7: C J.
- 14:32Speaker 5: Stroud, that was gonna pick this Colts defense apart, Cynthia.
- 14:35Speaker 5: Don't you think he's just got matchup advantages all over
- 14:38Speaker 5: the place.
- 14:38Speaker 6: I actually think he wins the NFL's number one passer award,
- 14:41Speaker 6: so the most passing yards is here, So I completely
- 14:44Speaker 6: agree with you. And by the way, pod is really
- 14:45Speaker 6: great even when I'm not on it, which is obviously a.
- 14:48Speaker 7: Little better when I'm just kidding.
- 14:50Speaker 6: But I'm looking at this one and I'm looking at
- 14:51Speaker 6: the Colts secondary and you talk about c J. Stroud
- 14:53Speaker 6: being an epic passer. The secondary wasn't an area that
- 14:57Speaker 6: they addressed. Yes, they have great guys up front. Gus
- 15:00Speaker 6: Bradley can get that sack game, going number five in
- 15:03Speaker 6: the NFL Bell last season with fifty one four different
- 15:06Speaker 6: players who had at least eight different sacks. And they
- 15:08Speaker 6: got Leatu Latu in the draft the first defensive player take, but.
- 15:11Speaker 7: What about the back end of the defense.
- 15:13Speaker 6: Nico Collins had one hundred and ninety five yards in
- 15:16Speaker 6: that matchup against him last year. Pretty big difference here,
- 15:19Speaker 6: and I don't know if they've done enough to address it.
- 15:22Speaker 6: Whereas I'm very interested to see how a little bit
- 15:24Speaker 6: healthier O line from the jump and perhaps a bit
- 15:27Speaker 6: of a run game can help both sir.
- 15:29Speaker 5: For the Texans on that four point, I'm a little
- 15:32Speaker 5: worried though, if Patrick goes meme alert here like a boom,
- 15:35Speaker 5: really good team that almost beautiful good and she said,
- 15:39Speaker 5: don't do it.
- 15:39Speaker 4: Maybe see you don't do it.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Okay, I won't do it. No, I'm gonna do it.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Meme away.
- 15:42Speaker 2: I've got the Houston Texas winning twenty six to twenty three.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Because Cynthia mentioned is kind of like a tale of
- 15:48Speaker 2: two types of roster construction and the Colts trying to
- 15:51Speaker 2: go through the draft and not necessary and the Texans
- 15:53Speaker 2: just shoving Chippy all like, hey, let's go get steff
- 15:56Speaker 2: On Diggs, Let's go get Danil Hunter coming off of
- 15:59Speaker 2: the edge, and he was top five in pressures last
- 16:02Speaker 2: year going opposite Will Anderson.
- 16:04Speaker 3: It's the Texans defense and Dimiko's.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Leadership there that helps take this to the point where
- 16:09Speaker 2: I'm just I can't pick the Colts at this juncture.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Twenty six twenty three, tough road win in the division.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Loved the Week one division games are here. Just all
- 16:19Speaker 2: in the NFL because that makes it great. Stroud turned
- 16:21Speaker 2: heads last season now as one of the front runners
- 16:24Speaker 2: for twenty twenty four NFL MVP according to Caesars Sportsbook,
- 16:27Speaker 2: who we Know and Love Patrick Mahomes leading the way
- 16:29Speaker 2: plus four seventy five looking for number three for him,
- 16:32Speaker 2: Josh Allen right behind him, C J. Stroud, Joe Burrow,
- 16:34Speaker 2: and then Jalen Hurts at plus fourteen hundred.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Greg we trust in value the folks at Caesars. Who
- 16:42Speaker 3: is your kick to win the.
- 16:43Speaker 5: Mby I thought I was more creative going Josh Allen.
- 16:46Speaker 5: He's number two on the board. It's Josh Allen's here.
- 16:48Speaker 5: Sometime it's a narrative award. I think about the twenty
- 16:51Speaker 5: twenty two Patrick Mahomes MVP candidacy. I think he got
- 16:55Speaker 5: extra credit because they took Tyreek Hill away from him
- 16:58Speaker 5: and he was still Patrick Mahomes. You know what's the
- 17:01Speaker 5: same about Mahomes and Josh Allen. Not only are they
- 17:03Speaker 5: just excell, they have great offensive lines. I think this
- 17:06Speaker 5: is the best Bills offensive line that they've had in
- 17:08Speaker 5: the Josh Ellen era. I think he has enough weapons.
- 17:11Speaker 5: I think he's at the age where his athleticism and
- 17:13Speaker 5: his mind have kind of met up and it's gonna
- 17:16Speaker 5: be Josh Allen's MVP.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Well, there we go.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Other than the MVP kind of taking a slight a
- 17:19Speaker 2: narrative award, perhaps we got a delve deeper in that
- 17:23Speaker 2: because it's been they haven't had a non quarterback win
- 17:26Speaker 2: since twenty twelve.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Adrian Peterson.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Yeah, Tyreek might have had a case last year before
- 17:32Speaker 2: the injury. Is it gonna pop off for two point
- 17:34Speaker 2: fifty against the Jags? Old Sunday A full preview of
- 17:37Speaker 2: Jags Dolphins coming up.
- 17:39Speaker 3: Right after this quick break.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Things got away from the Broncos a bit early on
- 17:43Speaker 2: last season. It's a big time showdown in the Sunshine
- 17:45Speaker 2: State State Championship game Jags and Dolphins. Miami has got
- 17:49Speaker 2: a track team on offense. What do you see taking
- 17:51Speaker 2: place since?
- 17:52Speaker 7: Well, I think that continues.
- 17:53Speaker 6: It picks up right where they left off there of
- 17:56Speaker 6: Miami winning this one by five points, twenty seven to
- 17:59Speaker 6: twenty two. I want to talk about something we think
- 18:01Speaker 6: about with Toua, and we think about those quick passes.
- 18:03Speaker 7: Yes, it is true.
- 18:04Speaker 6: Tuoa gets the ball out fastest in the NFL two
- 18:07Speaker 6: point three six seconds last season. He also threw for
- 18:10Speaker 6: the most yards if you look at how it broke down.
- 18:12Speaker 6: He threw to the intermediate range, so ten plus are
- 18:15Speaker 6: yards on a quarter of his passes. He also threw
- 18:18Speaker 6: to Tyreek Hill in a space, so into open spaces
- 18:22Speaker 6: and got him.
- 18:22Speaker 7: Going at over twenty miles.
- 18:24Speaker 6: Per hour at the most like seventeen times, which got
- 18:27Speaker 6: by the way, the next closest guy only ten times
- 18:29Speaker 6: last season. So it wasn't just about getting it out quickly.
- 18:32Speaker 6: It was about trusting his receiver and really exploiting all
- 18:35Speaker 6: the speed they have on the team. So that just
- 18:37Speaker 6: kind of continues because we got the mastermind behind all
- 18:40Speaker 6: of it in coach, and we know that he figures out.
- 18:43Speaker 7: How to make call his players unlock.
- 18:45Speaker 5: You convinced me Cynthia's got that big number. They're not big,
- 18:49Speaker 5: but five points I have it closer.
- 18:51Speaker 4: This is big.
- 18:51Speaker 5: I thought they's gonna make a bigger's a tough game. No,
- 18:53Speaker 5: it's thirty one to thirty more points in this game.
- 18:55Speaker 5: I think it's going to be a total thirty one
- 18:56Speaker 5: to thirty, but it's going to be very close between
- 18:58Speaker 5: these two teams. I look for the Dolphins to win
- 19:01Speaker 5: this game because of what Mike McDaniels is going to
- 19:03Speaker 5: put there. Like Week one September, Mike McDaniel is one
- 19:07Speaker 5: of the best phenomenons in the league. You know he's
- 19:10Speaker 5: gonna break out some new motion that just scrambles the
- 19:13Speaker 5: brain of the Jaguars defense. And in a game where yeah,
- 19:16Speaker 5: I would just take the points. I think in Week
- 19:18Speaker 5: one in general, if you're struggling to pick it, pick
- 19:21Speaker 5: the underdog.
- 19:22Speaker 4: We don't know what's gonna happen.
- 19:23Speaker 5: I think the Jaguars are gonna be good this year,
- 19:25Speaker 5: and yet McDaniel I think provides a coaching advantage.
- 19:28Speaker 4: One thing to watch.
- 19:29Speaker 5: You're seeing Devon eh Chan here running the ball, one
- 19:31Speaker 5: of the most explosive guys in the league in training camp.
- 19:33Speaker 5: Using him a lot more as a receiver. They don't
- 19:36Speaker 5: have Odell Beckham. See if a Chan is really involved
- 19:39Speaker 5: in the passing.
- 19:40Speaker 6: So play him in PPR just so here you go
- 19:42Speaker 6: oh yeah, play yeah, if you.
- 19:44Speaker 3: Get him on your roster. We could argue about the ADP.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Anyway, let's talk about the actual game because I also
- 19:49Speaker 2: have the Miami Dolphins here as well, not as many
- 19:52Speaker 2: points as Cynthia and Gregor.
- 19:53Speaker 3: I have the teams cuckoo from the Miami Dolphins.
- 19:56Speaker 7: I think you're cuckoo?
- 19:57Speaker 4: Why for you? I well respect Trevor.
- 20:00Speaker 7: Lee, we love, we love Mike McDaniel, but only one well.
- 20:04Speaker 3: I also love Joshua Heinz Allen I love.
- 20:08Speaker 2: I also love the fact that the Dolphins, who just
- 20:10Speaker 2: fell apart on defense at the end of the year
- 20:12Speaker 2: due to some brutal injuries, one of those being Jalen
- 20:14Speaker 2: Phillips with a torn.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Achilles, practiced in camp playing.
- 20:17Speaker 2: He's playing in this game, and that's so big for
- 20:21Speaker 2: a team that has to replace Vic Fango. The Jags
- 20:23Speaker 2: trying to bounce back as well as because Trevor had
- 20:25Speaker 2: all of those turnovers last year, but I think getting
- 20:28Speaker 2: some talent back. We're waiting to see what happens with
- 20:30Speaker 2: Jalen Ramsey as well, but I'll take the Fins with
- 20:32Speaker 2: the home field advantage.
- 20:33Speaker 3: We mean something here. Twenty four, twenty two Finns win.
- 20:38Speaker 3: So as we get.
- 20:39Speaker 2: From that game to some quick picks, let's all take
- 20:41Speaker 2: some turns here. The Broncos on the other side of
- 20:43Speaker 2: that ballout last year, going up against the Seahawks to start,
- 20:47Speaker 2: rookie bow Knicks named the captain starting for Denver.
- 20:49Speaker 3: What's gonna happen?
- 20:51Speaker 5: I think bow Knicks is getting taken to the wood
- 20:53Speaker 5: shed and his rookie performance thirty to ten, the Seahawks
- 20:57Speaker 5: win this game. I'm not a religious fan, but I
- 21:00Speaker 5: am praying at the church of Ryan Grubb, the new
- 21:02Speaker 5: offensive coordinator and Gino.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Smith with this group of weapons.
- 21:06Speaker 5: You thought I was annoying before about you know, this
- 21:08Speaker 5: is the best situation he's ever gonna be and I
- 21:10Speaker 5: think this is his.
- 21:11Speaker 4: Career year and they roll Greg.
- 21:14Speaker 3: The love best with Eugene continues.
- 21:17Speaker 2: We can't have Greg go all Greg all the time,
- 21:19Speaker 2: So I'll let you take the Patriot Cynthia going up
- 21:22Speaker 2: against the Bengals, Joe Burrow officially healthy, who do you
- 21:25Speaker 2: see winning this?
- 21:26Speaker 7: And beautiful hairstyle?
- 21:28Speaker 6: I will say twenty five to seventeen Cincinnati. Everyone's been
- 21:32Speaker 6: talking about Jamar Chase, but I want to remind you
- 21:34Speaker 6: t Higgins is still there everybody, by the way, last
- 21:37Speaker 6: time they met up in twenty twenty two, eight receptions
- 21:40Speaker 6: one hundred and twenty eight yards and a receiving touchdown.
- 21:42Speaker 6: Not to say that you know they'll pass for the
- 21:44Speaker 6: future necessarily in this way, and he did miss some
- 21:47Speaker 6: time last year, but I still like the fact that Higgins,
- 21:51Speaker 6: like we're all thinking, well, what's gonna happen with you?
- 21:53Speaker 7: T Higgins just slide right in there, and sorry about that, Greg.
- 21:57Speaker 5: I hate Look, we all had it closer than eighte half,
- 21:59Speaker 5: so that's actually some.
- 22:00Speaker 3: Eight and a half. It seems like a lot of points.
- 22:02Speaker 3: But we all were all meme away on the Cincinnati Bengals,
- 22:05Speaker 3: the Raiders Chargers next door so far.
- 22:07Speaker 2: The Harbor Era officially starts for the Bolts right across
- 22:10Speaker 2: the street from us. But I like the Raiders here
- 22:12Speaker 2: twenty to seventeen, mainly because Dante Adams was still good
- 22:18Speaker 2: last year even when things were horrible at the quarterback position. Yes,
- 22:22Speaker 2: it's Gardner Minshew, but it is an upgrade over Jimmy Garoppolo.
- 22:25Speaker 2: They've got another option that ain't O'Connell to come back in.
- 22:29Speaker 2: But twenty five targets for DeVante last season against the Chargers.
- 22:33Speaker 2: That's more targets than he had against the other two
- 22:35Speaker 2: divisional opponents, the.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Chiefs and the Broncos combined.
- 22:39Speaker 2: I think there's a lot of Davante and I'm just
- 22:41Speaker 2: not exactly sure what the options are while outlide for
- 22:45Speaker 2: Justin Herbert to.
- 22:45Speaker 4: Give it to me, give it to us.
- 22:47Speaker 5: This is the first stray Bahn of the year that
- 22:49Speaker 5: just think as it well over here being quiet and
- 22:51Speaker 5: we're just saying, okay.
- 22:53Speaker 7: No, I mean I actually really like this.
- 22:54Speaker 6: If of the ones that weren't one point games, this
- 22:56Speaker 6: is the one that I was like, ooh, the Raiders
- 22:58Speaker 6: could come out here and just make it look bad.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Yeah, two new coaches in this one, even though the
- 23:02Speaker 2: other one finished things out as an interim.
- 23:05Speaker 3: And oh yeah, we're looking for Titans and Bears. Who's
- 23:08Speaker 3: going to score the first touchdown? Odds on favorite is
- 23:12Speaker 3: Deandro Swift and then the other RB one Tony Pollard.
- 23:14Speaker 2: The DJ morri Keenan Allen and Taj Spears at plus
- 23:18Speaker 2: one thousands.
- 23:19Speaker 3: So much hype surrounding Caleb Williams and the Bears.
- 23:22Speaker 2: The Monsters of the Midway playing host to the Titans
- 23:25Speaker 2: in Week one. Does all this energy it loves spill
- 23:28Speaker 2: over to a win, Cynthia.
- 23:30Speaker 4: It does.
- 23:30Speaker 6: And I would go with Dj Moore on that last thing.
- 23:33Speaker 7: Let me just show, just so we're clear here.
- 23:34Speaker 6: I have Chicago winning this one twenty five to eighteen.
- 23:38Speaker 6: This is a really interesting test for Caleb Williams because
- 23:41Speaker 6: it's a nice way welcome to the NFL moment, because.
- 23:44Speaker 7: It's not quite the most ferocious.
- 23:46Speaker 6: Defense he's going to face this season, and of course
- 23:49Speaker 6: last year the O line was an issue. They allowed
- 23:52Speaker 6: the highest quarterback pressure percentage almost forty five percent last season.
- 23:56Speaker 6: Not to say that, you know, there are some things
- 23:58Speaker 6: there in strategy and it's different now. However, Williams did
- 24:01Speaker 6: lead FBS in passing yards and touchdowns under pressure, and
- 24:05Speaker 6: he was also great on extended plays so four or
- 24:07Speaker 6: more seconds time to throw. He had like fifteen hundred
- 24:10Speaker 6: and forty seven yards and a touchdown on those. So
- 24:12Speaker 6: I think this is gonna be great. But let's not
- 24:14Speaker 6: call him Patrick Mahomes yet. Just like, let him adjust,
- 24:17Speaker 6: give him some time to make some decisions. It's a
- 24:19Speaker 6: bubbly playoff team, so it could definitely be a good situation.
- 24:22Speaker 6: But which does not saddle him with having to be
- 24:25Speaker 6: Patrick Mahomes.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Heels like a lot.
- 24:26Speaker 4: Yeah, let's not call anyone Patrick.
- 24:28Speaker 5: Let's call Kayleb Williams a winner this week twenty to seventeen.
- 24:31Speaker 5: I think it's going to be closer, though, and it's
- 24:33Speaker 5: because I like the Titans running game. As my mom
- 24:36Speaker 5: once said, one Callahan Brian Callahan, that's good, but two
- 24:39Speaker 5: Callahan's Bill Callahan and Brian that's great. And you know
- 24:43Speaker 5: what's even better than one great running back, two great
- 24:45Speaker 5: running backs, Tony Pollard and Taj Spears. I think the
- 24:49Speaker 5: most undervalued coach in the NFL is an offensive line coach.
- 24:54Speaker 5: Whenever they get paid that when they're difference makers, it's
- 24:57Speaker 5: not enough.
- 24:58Speaker 4: The Titans have been a disaster upfront for years.
- 25:01Speaker 5: They bring in a good line coach, they have these
- 25:03Speaker 5: two great backs, they sign a great free agent center,
- 25:06Speaker 5: they draft J. C. Latham, and suddenly I have a
- 25:09Speaker 5: feeling they're going to have an above average running game.
- 25:11Speaker 5: I think they keep the score low. I think both
- 25:13Speaker 5: teams could run the ball pretty well in this game.
- 25:15Speaker 5: I trust the Bears defense more. I think it's a
- 25:17Speaker 5: low scoring game, and I think the Titans at least
- 25:20Speaker 5: keep it close.
- 25:21Speaker 2: I agree with all the points you made except one point,
- 25:23Speaker 2: and that's the one point that I'm giving the Bears
- 25:25Speaker 2: that Greg did not.
- 25:26Speaker 3: At twenty one seventeen.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Bears win because, yes, the Titans about all this change,
- 25:31Speaker 2: a new era, No Derek Henry, no Mike vrabel.
- 25:33Speaker 3: L, Jerius Snead comes over.
- 25:35Speaker 2: But that's just one player, and they need more players
- 25:38Speaker 2: to deal with all the talent the Chicago Bears had.
- 25:41Speaker 2: Cynthia has DJ Moore getting that first touchdown. He was
- 25:45Speaker 2: so good last year, Keenan Allen. People are sleeping on
- 25:47Speaker 2: Keenan Allen like he just faded into bolivion, as Mike
- 25:50Speaker 2: Tyson said famous last year.
- 25:52Speaker 3: He didn't. He was very good. And then there's a
- 25:55Speaker 3: routine romo Dounza add in Deandrey Swift.
- 25:58Speaker 2: I think there's just so much to put around this
- 26:01Speaker 2: exciting quarterback. And yes, we should temper our excitement because
- 26:04Speaker 2: expectations are very high, but they're also very high because
- 26:06Speaker 2: he's very good and Kelvin Byard. Kevin Byer gets a
- 26:09Speaker 2: revenge game opportunity as well. So the Bears win for
- 26:13Speaker 2: this one meme away. Sorry to our producer hythem. He's
- 26:17Speaker 2: cringing right now, but we're all we're all on the Bears.
- 26:19Speaker 2: It's safe to believe in things.
- 26:21Speaker 6: Speaks cringing because he's a Bears fan. Need to Mayfair, Yeah,
- 26:25Speaker 6: he just he doesn't want to Jan.
- 26:26Speaker 4: Believe it not.
- 26:27Speaker 3: They had it right, Davin Greig, because belief is good.
- 26:30Speaker 2: And so here we got the number two overall pick
- 26:33Speaker 2: Jayden new coach Dan Quinn starting things off in Tampa
- 26:37Speaker 2: against Baker and the Bucks. Does Jayden's squad pull off
- 26:40Speaker 2: the upset Cynthia because right now they're not favored.
- 26:42Speaker 3: It's three points.
- 26:44Speaker 6: Yeah, I have more than three points in favor of
- 26:46Speaker 6: Tampa Bay. Twenty six to nineteen is my score this one.
- 26:49Speaker 6: But I do want to talk about Jaden Daniels because
- 26:51Speaker 6: I'm very excited for him. I love forecasting some rookie
- 26:55Speaker 6: quarterback numbers, and I have three thousand, eight hundred and
- 26:58Speaker 6: seventy two yards for him with twenty touchdowns. I'm just
- 27:01Speaker 6: pointing this out because he has at least three three
- 27:04Speaker 6: thy twenty five passing yards in sixty eight percent of stimulations.
- 27:09Speaker 6: You know, my model is very conservative, so that is.
- 27:12Speaker 7: A massive number. So if you're looking at what he
- 27:14Speaker 7: going to do.
- 27:15Speaker 6: Why, Well, Cliff Kingsbury's there, and he also led FBS
- 27:18Speaker 6: last year in passing yards per attempting yards per carriers.
- 27:21Speaker 7: Is also going to run the ball really well. We've
- 27:22Speaker 7: seen that format for Cliff Kingsbury.
- 27:24Speaker 6: Jane Daniels, just remember he's going to pass for at
- 27:27Speaker 6: least three twenty six yards.
- 27:29Speaker 5: That would be the best Washington quarterback season since kirkoh
- 27:32Speaker 5: was there.
- 27:33Speaker 2: I think it's worth believing in Jane Daniels. I think
- 27:35Speaker 2: dan Quinn brings a lot to the table, but they
- 27:37Speaker 2: just need help right now. This team and this roster
- 27:39Speaker 2: of the way it's constructed, winning early seems a bit
- 27:42Speaker 2: much for me. So I've got Tampa Bay winning twenty
- 27:44Speaker 2: to seventeen strictly because of the defense and what they
- 27:48Speaker 2: can do, namely one of the best defenders in the
- 27:51Speaker 2: entire NFL who gets slept on a little bit.
- 27:53Speaker 3: Antoine Winfield Junior.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Had the highest ball hawk rate last year thirty six
- 27:56Speaker 2: percent of the time when he was targeted and coverage
- 27:59Speaker 2: he got his hands on the football.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Eleven pass breakups, two picks. It's a lot to overcome.
- 28:04Speaker 2: I've got Baker and Mike Evans and Chris Godwin being
- 28:07Speaker 2: tough twenty to seventeen.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Bucks win.
- 28:09Speaker 5: Greg, Okay, I agree with you, but I think it's
- 28:11Speaker 5: not gonna be that close. I think the Bucks win
- 28:13Speaker 5: twenty seven to fourteen. I think the Bucks have been
- 28:15Speaker 5: slept out. I think they're gonna win this division. I
- 28:17Speaker 5: think they have a lot more talent than people realize,
- 28:20Speaker 5: especially at the wide receiver position. Yeah, Mike Evans is back.
- 28:23Speaker 5: He's still awesome. Chris Godwin a little more out of
- 28:25Speaker 5: the slot this year. He's awesome. I love their rookie McMillan.
- 28:29Speaker 5: Who's gonna be on the outside. You got Trey Palmer.
- 28:31Speaker 5: I just think matchup problems are going to exist throughout
- 28:34Speaker 5: this Washington defense matching up against these receivers. Dan Quinn
- 28:38Speaker 5: loves to play man coverage. Last year the most man
- 28:41Speaker 5: coverage of any team in the league. Any defensive coordinator,
- 28:44Speaker 5: you play man against these receivers. With who Washington has
- 28:48Speaker 5: in the secondary, I just think Tampa's gonna control the ball,
- 28:51Speaker 5: control this game, get the win.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Yeah, again, we're not picking him, but we believe in
- 28:55Speaker 2: Jade Daniels and we're not the only one. Let's take
- 28:57Speaker 2: a look at the Offensive Rookie of the Year Odds
- 28:59Speaker 2: for the twenty twenty four season. You got your quarterbacks
- 29:01Speaker 2: one two in the draft, they're one two in the
- 29:03Speaker 2: Rookie of the Year Odds Odds Marvin Harerson Junior right
- 29:06Speaker 2: after them, Bo Nicks, and then Malik Neighbors at plus
- 29:10Speaker 2: twelve hundred. Cynthia, who is your pick to win offensive Rookie?
- 29:14Speaker 6: Well, A little chalky here because I do actually think
- 29:17Speaker 6: it will be Caleb Williams. But one that I want
- 29:18Speaker 6: to talk about for a dark horse that really should
- 29:21Speaker 6: be up for consideration is Malik Neighbors.
- 29:23Speaker 7: Why Because I think.
- 29:24Speaker 6: He's gonna get an insane amount of volume, Like it's
- 29:27Speaker 6: gonna be Pooka nakool like. Why Because they don't have
- 29:29Speaker 6: a lot of other options. This is a team that
- 29:32Speaker 6: really needs to find a stretching the field opportunity. And
- 29:35Speaker 6: if you go and watch how he runs routes, if
- 29:38Speaker 6: you track the way that he was in preseason, and
- 29:41Speaker 6: I know that's not a great proxy, but also last
- 29:43Speaker 6: year at LSU, this guy can do that. So while
- 29:46Speaker 6: it may not be the odds on favorite, it is
- 29:48Speaker 6: a really good opportunity for Melik Neighbors. To just like
- 29:51Speaker 6: crush some records here in terms of targets and volume.
- 29:53Speaker 5: Yeah, I did the thing on NFL dot com where
- 29:55Speaker 5: we predict all the awards. I went with Malik Neighbors. Yeah,
- 29:58Speaker 5: maybe he's not as likely, but twelve plus twelve hundred
- 30:01Speaker 5: I think he could go fourteen hundred yards those Jamar
- 30:04Speaker 5: Chase rookie season type of year.
- 30:06Speaker 2: People may be concerned about Daniel Jones, but as Cynthia mentioned,
- 30:09Speaker 2: it's volume. It's volume, an opportunity for Elik Neighbors, who
- 30:12Speaker 2: we're all super excited, just.
- 30:14Speaker 3: Excited about the season.
- 30:15Speaker 2: How about some odds for the defensive Player of the Year.
- 30:18Speaker 2: According to Caesar Sportsbook, Michaeh. Parsons the runaway lead, well,
- 30:21Speaker 2: not running that far away from DJ WADA's right behind him.
- 30:24Speaker 2: Plus five seventy five Max Crosby, Miles Garrett, Nick Bosa. Sorry,
- 30:28Speaker 2: if you cover guys in the secondary, you have to
- 30:31Speaker 2: rush the passer to be a favorite for Defensive Player
- 30:33Speaker 2: of the Year.
- 30:34Speaker 3: But maybe according to Greg, who do you have?
- 30:37Speaker 4: I'm going chalk? I'm going the favorite. It's Michael Parsons.
- 30:39Speaker 5: Although when you say chalk here it's still plus five
- 30:41Speaker 5: to fifty that's great. Michah Parsons is the best pure
- 30:44Speaker 5: pass rusher I've ever seen, Like, I don't actually think
- 30:47Speaker 5: this is that bold of statement. Last twenty five years,
- 30:50Speaker 5: tell me the edge rusher that's better at doing it
- 30:53Speaker 5: than Parsons. I think he could have won it in
- 30:55Speaker 5: previous years, just hasn't fallen for him. This feels like
- 30:58Speaker 5: the year and they'll love that. He's also mixing in
- 31:01Speaker 5: some off ball linebacker stuff, so he's versatile and talented.
- 31:06Speaker 7: I mean, my only problem here is that I'm not
- 31:08Speaker 7: sure how.
- 31:08Speaker 6: Many times that the Cowboys are going to be in
- 31:11Speaker 6: situations where they have to face passing late in games.
- 31:13Speaker 6: That could be the only thing there, right like, so
- 31:15Speaker 6: that could be the only thing that would change it there.
- 31:17Speaker 6: But I'm with you on all of the traits that
- 31:19Speaker 6: you said that he has. It's fantastic, but sometimes you
- 31:21Speaker 6: need like seventeen eighteen sacks for people to really take notice.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Yeah, the opportunity is key, especially because apparently you have
- 31:28Speaker 2: to get sacks to win a Defensive Player.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Of the Year.
- 31:30Speaker 4: I mean, those guys are the future Hall of Famers.
- 31:32Speaker 5: What cornerback I don't know, I don't I don't have
- 31:34Speaker 5: one that would be it's a lot of good cornerbacks.
- 31:35Speaker 3: Well only those guys.
- 31:36Speaker 2: We'll get to it a little over under and we'll start
- 31:39Speaker 2: with the Cardinals and Bills.
- 31:41Speaker 3: As we got our foam fingers.
- 31:42Speaker 2: That over under is forty seven, and I am projecting
- 31:46Speaker 2: a score fest here. I've got twenty eight to twenty
- 31:49Speaker 2: seven Arizona fifty five total points.
- 31:52Speaker 3: I'm taking the Cardinals in an upset, but the over either.
- 31:55Speaker 5: Way, okay, we should we need to spend more time.
- 31:57Speaker 5: I'm going over by the way, I have sixty seven here.
- 31:59Speaker 5: Forty to twenty seven is my Yeah, I think that
- 32:02Speaker 5: they're this Cardinal defense. I have no love for them
- 32:05Speaker 5: right now. I don't think they're talented. Ugh, But like
- 32:07Speaker 5: Boo on the produ we should spend more time on.
- 32:10Speaker 5: You have the Cardinals beating the Bills.
- 32:12Speaker 4: That score should be up there. We need we need
- 32:14Speaker 4: to do a whole segment question.
- 32:15Speaker 6: I too, I have a ten point win for the Bills.
- 32:17Speaker 6: I'm going to go fast because I want to know,
- 32:19Speaker 6: how do you think that the Bills are going to
- 32:21Speaker 6: lose to the Cardinals. Patrick claybo that's.
- 32:23Speaker 4: My survivor pick, though that would be it.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Two players in the secondary ninety eight percent of the
- 32:27Speaker 2: defensive snaps for Poyer as well as Micah Hyde ninety
- 32:31Speaker 2: two percent for Micah Hydt. It's just a lot of change,
- 32:34Speaker 2: a lot of change, a lot of turnover. Maybe it's
- 32:35Speaker 2: going to take some time to figure out this tight
- 32:37Speaker 2: end heavy passing offense. How much is key On gonna
- 32:39Speaker 2: get involved. I think Kyler runs around a little bit
- 32:41Speaker 2: and they score some points.
- 32:42Speaker 4: Guys, it's Week one, Yes, I give you credit.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Let's go to the Panthers in the Saints. The over
- 32:50Speaker 2: under is forty one and a half. I am taking
- 32:54Speaker 2: the under here as both of these offenses didn't really
- 32:56Speaker 2: live up to things last year.
- 32:58Speaker 3: I think it's a slow paced game. New Orleans wins it.
- 33:00Speaker 5: But the under for me, yeah, I like the under.
- 33:02Speaker 5: I like the Saints. I have at seventeen ten Saints.
- 33:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:06Speaker 5: I just think this is a matchup where the Saints
- 33:08Speaker 5: defense knows what they're gonna get in terms of what
- 33:10Speaker 5: the Panthers can do, and it's a lot of experienced
- 33:13Speaker 5: defenders to Mario Davis, Cameron Jordan, Tyron Matthew think they
- 33:15Speaker 5: get it done.
- 33:16Speaker 6: I agree with you on the winner, but I think
- 33:18Speaker 6: that we're gonna have more points here. I have twenty
- 33:20Speaker 6: seven to eighteen, which adds up to forty five, which
- 33:22Speaker 6: is more than forty one. When I'm looking at this game,
- 33:25Speaker 6: I'm just thinking, I think that maybe the Saints with
- 33:27Speaker 6: the twenty seven, they're really pulling their end of the
- 33:29Speaker 6: value here. So I'm just I think that it's slightly over,
- 33:33Speaker 6: not crazy.
- 33:34Speaker 3: Yeah, and we like points. Points are good.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Last game for over under here the Vikings at the
- 33:39Speaker 2: Giants Daniel Jones against Sam Darnold. Over under is forty one,
- 33:43Speaker 2: and based on the thing I just said about the quarterbacks,
- 33:45Speaker 2: I am taking the under. I've got a very low
- 33:48Speaker 2: with twenty seven total points.
- 33:49Speaker 3: What's the what with?
- 33:50Speaker 4: Wait, so who do you have winning?
- 33:52Speaker 5: I've got the Minnesota Vikings, So it's what fourteen to thirteen?
- 33:56Speaker 5: That's an insulting score. I at least have it a
- 33:58Speaker 5: little more fun. I'm going over Vikings win twenty three
- 34:02Speaker 5: to twenty. And yeah, I actually think Sam Darnold's in
- 34:05Speaker 5: the best situation he could possibly agree and absolutely good weapons.
- 34:08Speaker 5: Daniel Jones, I think the offensive line is a little
- 34:10Speaker 5: better for the Giants than he's ever had, so I
- 34:13Speaker 5: think we get some points it's a relatively entertaining game.
- 34:16Speaker 4: It's week one. All the babies are beautiful.
- 34:18Speaker 6: All the babies are beautiful, But I think Minnesota is
- 34:21Speaker 6: a beautiful or baby in this one.
- 34:22Speaker 7: Twenty two to twenty.
- 34:24Speaker 6: Do you guys forget that Justin Jefferson souper, Yeah, you
- 34:27Speaker 6: guys forget Aaron Jones is now.
- 34:28Speaker 2: On this team.
- 34:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I've got it.
- 34:31Speaker 4: Crazynowns for Justin Jefferson, Like.
- 34:34Speaker 5: Justin Jefferson is slipping down a nine to ten to eleven.
- 34:37Speaker 5: I'm like, this is Justin Jefferson. That's my wide receiver one.
- 34:40Speaker 3: He's very good. The points are his everything else. I'm
- 34:45Speaker 3: not to Super Bowl fifty nine the odds.
- 34:48Speaker 2: According to Caesars Sports Book, the Kansas City Chiefs are
- 34:51Speaker 2: the favorite, followed up by the team they beat in
- 34:53Speaker 2: the Super Bowl, followed up by the team they beat
- 34:56Speaker 2: in the AFC Championship Game, and then the Lions and
- 34:58Speaker 2: the Eagles, the Bengals and the Texans all have to
- 35:01Speaker 2: share the Rob Low logo plus thirteen hundred.
- 35:04Speaker 3: As we get to write this down.
- 35:07Speaker 2: Here on game debut, the very first one and has
- 35:10Speaker 2: this tradiction, we will make it our Super Bowl predictions
- 35:13Speaker 2: for Super Bowl fifty nine in beautiful New Orleans, Louisiana.
- 35:16Speaker 3: Greg, who do you have?
- 35:17Speaker 5: I cannot wait to be at the Superdome. I have
- 35:19Speaker 5: some good news for you, Cynthia that your Lions are
- 35:22Speaker 5: gonna make it. They're gonna be in it. But I
- 35:24Speaker 5: have some bad news for you too. I'm going off
- 35:26Speaker 5: the board we just saw. How are the Buffalo Bills
- 35:28Speaker 5: not on this board? There's only two teams in the
- 35:31Speaker 5: last five years that have made the playoffs every years,
- 35:34Speaker 5: only two teams who've been in the divisional round the
- 35:37Speaker 5: last four years. The hardest thing to do in the
- 35:39Speaker 5: NFL is consistently win at the highest level. The Bills
- 35:42Speaker 5: have done it. I believe this is their year. I
- 35:45Speaker 5: believe that the weight of the three peat is gonna
- 35:47Speaker 5: be too much for Kansas City. That's some other AFC
- 35:50Speaker 5: team where all the best teams are Sorry, Lions are
- 35:53Speaker 5: gonna get through. I'm just going with the best quarterback,
- 35:55Speaker 5: the best defensive coach. What a fun super Bowl? This
- 35:57Speaker 5: would be Bills and Lions, and it just feels like
- 36:01Speaker 5: a Bills type of year. As a Patriots fan, I
- 36:03Speaker 5: remember sometimes it's the years that they don't see it
- 36:06Speaker 5: come in. But as long as you have that coach
- 36:07Speaker 5: in that quarterback, you can get it done.
- 36:09Speaker 6: Well, Patrick, this reasoning is for you because I know
- 36:11Speaker 6: you're gonna love it. But I saw that the Eagles
- 36:13Speaker 6: were plus thirteen hundred, and thirteen is a really special
- 36:16Speaker 6: number for Taylor Swift and she's associated with the Chiefs,
- 36:19Speaker 6: So I actually think that it's going to be the
- 36:21Speaker 6: Eagles plus thirteen hundred over the Chiefs are thirteen. See,
- 36:26Speaker 6: we solved all of it already now because all of
- 36:28Speaker 6: the irrational thoughts and momentum it swings to them. But
- 36:32Speaker 6: realistically speaking, I picked that before I even knew the odds.
- 36:35Speaker 6: But ultimately here to me, the O line missing Jason
- 36:38Speaker 6: Kelsey is a huge problem. However, getting Saquon Barkley allows
- 36:43Speaker 6: for a lot of new wrinkles and folds in this offense,
- 36:45Speaker 6: things we haven't seen before, things that we can figure out.
- 36:48Speaker 7: Oh, Jalen Hurts can do this now, Okay, great.
- 36:50Speaker 6: So I think that the Eagles have the team, They
- 36:53Speaker 6: have the wins, they have the division to get that buy,
- 36:55Speaker 6: et cetera.
- 36:55Speaker 3: Spicy.
- 36:56Speaker 2: I just love the fact that we have such a
- 36:58Speaker 2: wide range of teams represented because I have two.
- 37:00Speaker 3: Teams that you guys don't.
- 37:02Speaker 2: I've got the Green Bay Packers after giving Jordan Love
- 37:05Speaker 2: that massive contract, making it to the Super Bowl and
- 37:08Speaker 2: falling to the team that could have been in the
- 37:10Speaker 2: Super Bowl last year if not for a litany of mistakes,
- 37:13Speaker 2: the Baltimore Ravens, who had every opportunity three drives against
- 37:17Speaker 2: the Super Bowl champion. Because sometimes the benefit of hindsight,
- 37:19Speaker 2: we say this team was always going to win. They
- 37:21Speaker 2: had three drives, the last three drives one hundred and
- 37:24Speaker 2: sixty yards, got three points out of them. The Chiefs
- 37:26Speaker 2: ultimately go on to win the Super Bowl.
- 37:28Speaker 6: Trying to kiss up to our new producer, I get it,
- 37:30Speaker 6: he's a Packers fan.
- 37:31Speaker 7: We get it. We see it. Your team beats his
- 37:33Speaker 7: team move.
- 37:34Speaker 2: I'm trying to kiss up to all the people watching.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Glad for you to be here with us today, being
