- 0:01Speaker 1: It would be erroneous to believe that in the days
- 0:04Speaker 1: of Christ and the days of the early church that
- 0:07Speaker 1: there were just one or two religions. Jerusalem was flanked
- 0:12Speaker 1: with religions of all types and descriptions. What made the
- 0:16Speaker 1: early church have such a difficult time is that they
- 0:19Speaker 1: were in an ideological war. What is an ideological war?
- 0:24Speaker 1: An ideological war is a war of ideas, right? Right now,
- 0:30Speaker 1: without a bomb going off or lightning flashing or thunder
- 0:33Speaker 1: rolling or even AK-47 going off, we are at war.
- 0:39Speaker 1: We are at war in this country right now. It
- 0:43Speaker 1: is an ideological war. It is a war of ideas.
- 0:49Speaker 1: It used to be that you had a right to
- 0:52Speaker 1: have your own opinion. Amen. Today, people think it is
- 0:58Speaker 1: their job to impose their opinion upon you. And if
- 1:05Speaker 1: you disagree, they attack you for having a different point
- 1:11Speaker 1: of view. You have to be strong to stick to
- 1:16Speaker 1: your convictions. Yes. Because the tidal wave, the tsunami wave
- 1:23Speaker 1: of public opinion and what they call culture has bombarded
- 1:28Speaker 1: theology to the point that theology has laryngitis. And lost
- 1:36Speaker 1: its voice in this present age. And we are in trouble.
- 1:42Speaker 1: And as it is now, so was it then. There
- 1:44Speaker 1: was the Pharisees who didn't really like the Sadducees, but
- 1:48Speaker 1: they got together to fight Jesus. Each one of them
- 1:52Speaker 1: having their own versions and ideas and philosophies that were
- 1:56Speaker 1: pervasive in the day. And Jesus withstood them all, firm
- 2:03Speaker 1: in his conviction, willing to debate them. Their doctrines and
- 2:09Speaker 1: their philosophies did not intimidate Jesus because he understood that
- 2:14Speaker 1: it was an ideological war. An ideological war has no bullets,
- 2:20Speaker 1: has no guns, no grenades. It is a war of
- 2:24Speaker 1: opinions and ideas. There was a group there that existed
- 2:30Speaker 1: in the early church called Gnostics or Gnosticism. Not with
- 2:35Speaker 1: a K but with a G. but it means the
- 2:38Speaker 1: same as if we were to put a K-N-O, there's
- 2:42Speaker 1: a G-N-O, Gnosticism. It is where we get the word agnostic.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Agnostic is to not know. So if somebody says to you,
- 2:55Speaker 1: I'm agnostic, they're not saying that they don't believe in God,
- 2:59Speaker 1: they just say, I'm not sure, I don't know. Gnostic
- 3:04Speaker 1: is to know. So Gnosticism in the early church was
- 3:09Speaker 1: a prevailing ideology that suggested that they knew God and
- 3:15Speaker 1: that they intellectually ascended up the ladder to God. In fact,
- 3:23Speaker 1: they thought that Jesus was just a step up the
- 3:26Speaker 1: ladder to God. Gnosticism, to know. They thought that the
- 3:34Speaker 1: more you know God, the more you transformed into a
- 3:40Speaker 1: type of God, the more you know. Now, the problem
- 3:46Speaker 1: with that idea is this. God cannot be just and
- 3:52Speaker 1: be Gnosticistic. Because in order to be just, we would
- 3:58Speaker 1: all have to have the same IQ. To the person
- 4:02Speaker 1: who is dull of wit or slow to learn or
- 4:06Speaker 1: unable to grasp certain ideas, God would be beyond their
- 4:10Speaker 1: reach if Gnosticism was true. Because if Gnosticism was true,
- 4:18Speaker 1: the smarter you were, the more like God you were.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Then God could only be embraced through knowledge. The Pharisees
- 4:30Speaker 1: thought that the way to approach God was through acts
- 4:34Speaker 1: of holiness, self-righteousness. They thought that the more righteous and
- 4:41Speaker 1: the more pious they were, the closer they were to God.
- 4:45Speaker 1: So they were known for their long praying and their
- 4:48Speaker 1: long garments and their beads and their prayers and their
- 4:52Speaker 1: rituals and their routines because they thought through ritualism and
- 4:56Speaker 1: routine was the way to get to God. You hear
- 5:00Speaker 1: what I'm saying to you? In the midst of all
- 5:03Speaker 1: of these varying ideas, the Sadducees, for example, thought that
- 5:07Speaker 1: the spirit of the body didn't leave a man for
- 5:11Speaker 1: three days. That's why Jesus waited till Lazarus had been
- 5:17Speaker 1: dead four days so that the Sadducees couldn't say he
- 5:23Speaker 1: didn't really raise him from the dead because he wasn't
- 5:26Speaker 1: within the parameters of our theology. Jesus waited till there
- 5:31Speaker 1: was no doubt amongst the skeptics that Lazarus was dead.
- 5:35Speaker 1: So Mary says to him, don't go to the grave
- 5:38Speaker 1: now because by now he's stinking. God has a way
- 5:44Speaker 1: of not showing up until it's stinking. Amen. God has
- 5:57Speaker 1: a way of not giving an old man a baby
- 6:00Speaker 1: until he's impotent. His wife is past childbearing age. And
- 6:08Speaker 1: even if she weren't past childbearing age, she was barren.
- 6:12Speaker 1: And when it was totally impossible with man, God stepped
- 6:18Speaker 1: in and said, now I'm ready to do something. Have
- 6:22Speaker 1: you ever watched God let you wear yourself out trying
- 6:28Speaker 1: to do stuff by yourself. And finally, when you finally
- 6:33Speaker 1: give up and say, okay, God, I can't do it.
- 6:36Speaker 1: That's when he steps in and shows himself strong. Hebrews
- 6:46Speaker 1: 11 reminds us that faith is not a New Testament idea.
- 6:52Speaker 1: That it is not a result of the crucifixion of
- 6:56Speaker 1: Jesus Christ. That from the creation of man forward, people
- 7:00Speaker 1: have been moved by faith. The book of Hebrews 11
- 7:07Speaker 1: reminds us that faith cannot be confined by dispensations, structures,
- 7:13Speaker 1: or order. Or to break it down simply, it reminds
- 7:17Speaker 1: us that faith never goes out of style. Ha ha
- 7:21Speaker 1: ha ha ha. A lot of other things would go
- 7:24Speaker 1: out of style. By the time I found a pair
- 7:28Speaker 1: of skinny jeans that could fit me and decided that
- 7:38Speaker 1: it might be okay to wear them, now they'd have
- 7:42Speaker 1: gone wildly. People change their mind from week to week
- 7:46Speaker 1: to get a little bit more of your money. By
- 7:48Speaker 1: the time you got an Apple 7, they got an
- 7:51Speaker 1: Apple 8. By the time you got an Apple 8,
- 7:53Speaker 1: they got an Apple 10. By the time you got
- 7:55Speaker 1: a 10, they got an Apple 12. I stopped counting.
- 7:59Speaker 1: I said, this 8 is working for me. Faith never
- 8:04Speaker 1: goes out of style. It doesn't wait for the transition
- 8:08Speaker 1: of time or the coming of Moses. It exists before Moses.
- 8:13Speaker 1: It exists before the Pentateuch. It exists before the law.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Faith just is. But the reason why faith is, is
- 8:24Speaker 1: faith is a common denominator. That regardless to how intellectual
- 8:30Speaker 1: you are or not, you have equal access to it
- 8:37Speaker 1: because faith is the gateway to everything promised to you.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Now this is deep, but you need to understand this.
- 8:45Speaker 1: You need to understand this because some people who are
- 8:48Speaker 1: exceptionally smart are also exceptionally frustrated because they think that
- 8:54Speaker 1: they should be compensated on the level of their intellect.
- 8:58Speaker 1: And here you come in with less degrees and got
- 9:01Speaker 1: paid more money and they can't understand how you got
- 9:05Speaker 1: what you got. Somebody holler, it's a faith thing. There's
- 9:13Speaker 1: a fine woman looking at a woman that's just ordinary saying,
- 9:17Speaker 1: how did you get a man like that? It is
- 9:25Speaker 1: not by might nor by power, but by my spirit,
- 9:29Speaker 1: saith the Lord. It is a faith thing. Now, in
- 9:40Speaker 1: order to have faith, how do I get faith? How
- 9:42Speaker 1: do I get faith? Because today we think faith is willpower.
- 9:47Speaker 1: So we get sick, say, I just believe it. I
- 9:49Speaker 1: believe it. I believe it. I believe it. I confess it.
- 9:51Speaker 1: I believe it. I believe it. I believe it. I
- 9:53Speaker 1: believe I'm healed. I believe I'm healed. I just believe it.
- 9:55Speaker 1: I just believe it. I believe I'm going to hit
- 9:58Speaker 1: the lottery. I believe. I believe. I believe. I believe.
- 10:00Speaker 1: They're all in Vegas pulling the lottery down. I believe.
- 10:04Speaker 1: I believe. I believe. But it doesn't say have faith
- 10:10Speaker 1: in faith. It says have faith in God. now faith
- 10:19Speaker 1: has nothing to do without hope you can have faith
- 10:28Speaker 1: all you want but if you don't have hope you
- 10:32Speaker 1: can't do anything the reason that faith is a common
- 10:36Speaker 1: denominator let me finish that up the reason that faith
- 10:39Speaker 1: is a common denominator Jesus says except you become like
- 10:43Speaker 1: a little child you should not inherit the kingdom of
- 10:47Speaker 1: God That means that he has reduced it down. I
- 10:51Speaker 1: use this phrase all the time. It's out of style.
- 10:53Speaker 1: They don't teach it in school like that anymore. But
- 10:55Speaker 1: we used to reduce fractions down to its lowest common
- 10:58Speaker 1: denominator and then multiply. That's how I was taught in school.
- 11:02Speaker 1: They don't teach it that way anymore. They got a
- 11:04Speaker 1: whole different method. So you had to find the lowest
- 11:08Speaker 1: common denominator in order to do it. Faith is God's
- 11:12Speaker 1: lowest common denominator. He's brought it down so low that
- 11:17Speaker 1: you can be illiterate and still believe. If an illiterate
- 11:24Speaker 1: man gets sick beside an intellectual man that gets sick,
- 11:29Speaker 1: the intellectual man has no more advantage over the illiterate
- 11:33Speaker 1: man when it comes to miracles because it is by faith.
- 11:45Speaker 1: The Gentile has no more power than the Jew because
- 11:49Speaker 1: it's by faith. If you walk slowly through the book
- 11:51Speaker 1: of Romans, Paul will prove to you. He teaches you
- 11:54Speaker 1: what the Jews were and how their history were. And
- 11:57Speaker 1: he goes all back to their antiquities and their ancestry.
- 12:01Speaker 1: And he validates who they were. And then he counts
- 12:04Speaker 1: it all as done. So it don't mean nothing. Then
- 12:10Speaker 1: he talks about the Gentiles and how wild they were
- 12:12Speaker 1: and how perverted they were and how promiscuous they were.
- 12:17Speaker 1: And he said it doesn't mean nothing because God has
- 12:20Speaker 1: equalized the playing floor. He's brought it down to just
- 12:24Speaker 1: by faith. There's some righteous women in here. You grew
- 12:28Speaker 1: up righteous. You've always been pure. You've always been virtuous.
- 12:32Speaker 1: You've always been honorable. When you got married, you were
- 12:35Speaker 1: a virgin and you're sitting right behind a woman who
- 12:38Speaker 1: was a slut. You don't get no more glory when
- 12:46Speaker 1: the glory falls than the woman who was a slut.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Because it's not by works lest any man should boast,
- 12:59Speaker 1: it's by faith. This is why you have haters. Because
- 13:07Speaker 1: haters don't think that you deserve to have whatever you have.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Because they think that they are better or purer or
- 13:16Speaker 1: smarter or better looking or brighter. But look at somebody
- 13:21Speaker 1: and say, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 13:24Speaker 1: It's a faith thing. I know it doesn't make sense
- 13:29Speaker 1: to you that I got a promotion. I know it
- 13:32Speaker 1: doesn't make sense to you that I pastor a church
- 13:34Speaker 1: like this. I know it doesn't make sense that I'm
- 13:36Speaker 1: directing the choir. I know it doesn't make sense that
- 13:39Speaker 1: God has raised me up. I know it doesn't make
- 13:41Speaker 1: sense that God put me on the cover of Time Magazine.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I don't have no business on the cover of Time Magazine.
- 13:46Speaker 1: I didn't make any great discovery. I didn't do anything.
- 13:50Speaker 1: It's not going to make sense to you because it's a...
- 13:57Speaker 1: What God is getting ready to do in your life
- 14:03Speaker 1: is totally illogical. It makes no sense. It has no rationale.
- 14:09Speaker 1: You have no background. It's a... I don't know who
- 14:18Speaker 1: I'm talking to, but I'm getting somebody ready to receive it.
- 14:27Speaker 1: The problem with you receiving the promises of God, I'm
- 14:30Speaker 1: just talking, I ain't got started yet. The problem with
- 14:33Speaker 1: you receiving the promises of God is that sometimes God
- 14:36Speaker 1: promises you the most illogical stuff. As long as I've
- 14:44Speaker 1: been walking with God, God said something to me a
- 14:46Speaker 1: few years ago. I wrestled with him about three years
- 14:49Speaker 1: telling him, I don't even know nothing about that. How
- 14:54Speaker 1: could you give that to me? I don't have no
- 14:56Speaker 1: background in that. I wasn't qualified for that. And God
- 15:00Speaker 1: was busily building it up. It didn't make no sense.
- 15:06Speaker 1: It scared me when it didn't make sense. Can I
- 15:11Speaker 1: be honest with you? The person who's teaching you faith
- 15:14Speaker 1: got scared. Because sometimes God has something for you that
- 15:21Speaker 1: is so mind-boggling that Can I just be honest with you?
- 15:26Speaker 1: I've wrestled with him like Jacob. It was a good thing.
- 15:30Speaker 1: It was a great blessing. It had great purpose. But
- 15:33Speaker 1: I didn't want to touch it because it didn't make sense.
- 15:36Speaker 1: And then I thought it didn't make sense for David
- 15:39Speaker 1: to be king. How do you make a shepherd boy king?
- 15:47Speaker 1: He has no background. He has no protocol. His father
- 15:51Speaker 1: was a peasant. He grew up taking care of sheep.
- 15:54Speaker 1: He had not been trained. He didn't go to school
- 15:56Speaker 1: for it. He wasn't prepared for it. But God said,
- 15:59Speaker 1: I found me a man. Who's after my heart. And
- 16:03Speaker 1: he's going to be the next king of Israel. For
- 16:06Speaker 1: it is not by might. It is not by power.
- 16:09Speaker 1: It is by my spirit sayeth the Lord. And I
- 16:12Speaker 1: say this because. There are some things that God said
- 16:15Speaker 1: to you. That are frightening. It doesn't make sense. You're scary.
- 16:19Speaker 1: You're reluctant to receive it. You don't feel qualified. You
- 16:23Speaker 1: don't feel ready. And yet God's going to do it.
- 16:27Speaker 1: And he told me to tell you. It is a
- 16:30Speaker 1: faith thing. Whoever I'm talking to, give him a praise. Now,
- 16:47Speaker 1: I got to pick up this point. Where there is
- 16:50Speaker 1: no hope, faith has nothing to do. Hope. Esteem. Esteem.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Where there is no hope, faith has nothing to do.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Faith is the substance of things hoped for. When you
- 17:08Speaker 1: have low self-esteem, a low esteem for your life, faith's
- 17:16Speaker 1: hands are tied. So if I were the enemy and
- 17:25Speaker 1: I couldn't stop faith from being true, I would kill
- 17:29Speaker 1: your hope. By showing you what you are not and
- 17:34Speaker 1: what you don't have and what you don't. And you're
- 17:36Speaker 1: too old and you're too young and you're too dark
- 17:39Speaker 1: and you're too white and you're too brown. Of the
- 17:43Speaker 1: thing you hope for. The worst people in the world
- 17:46Speaker 1: to preach to are people who have no hope. People
- 17:53Speaker 1: who have decided, well, I guess this is as far
- 17:58Speaker 1: as I'm going to go. And they make themselves happy
- 18:04Speaker 1: with mediocrity. It's not that they're happy with it. They
- 18:09Speaker 1: make themselves happy with it because it is all they
- 18:13Speaker 1: can grasp. The people I like to preach to are
- 18:21Speaker 1: the people who have the audacity of hope. The audacity
- 18:28Speaker 1: to believe. The audacity to believe it's possible. The audacity
- 18:34Speaker 1: to think I could go to school. The audacity to
- 18:37Speaker 1: think I could own my own house. The audacity to
- 18:40Speaker 1: think I could preach the gospel. The audacity to think
- 18:43Speaker 1: I could build a church. The audacity to think I
- 18:46Speaker 1: could build a mall. The audacity to think I could
- 18:49Speaker 1: get up from here. The audacity to think... I could
- 18:52Speaker 1: make it without you. The audacity. See, in order to
- 18:56Speaker 1: leave a woman in an abusive relationship, the first thing
- 19:00Speaker 1: an abusive man does is take away her hope. He
- 19:04Speaker 1: cuts off her conversations. He doesn't want her to talk
- 19:07Speaker 1: to her relatives. And then he tells her, you're dumb
- 19:10Speaker 1: and you're ugly and you're stupid and don't nobody want
- 19:13Speaker 1: me but you. And you better put up with me.
- 19:16Speaker 1: I'll slap you across this kitchen. You ain't got nowhere
- 19:19Speaker 1: to go. You're stupid. You know what he's doing? He's
- 19:23Speaker 1: killing her hope. Verbal abuse kills hope. What that man
- 19:41Speaker 1: is doing to that woman and nowadays what that woman
- 19:44Speaker 1: is doing to that man. Because I have found since
- 19:47Speaker 1: I've been in Texas that some of these women. are
- 19:50Speaker 1: just as abusive as men are. The way you talk
- 19:53Speaker 1: to your husband, he'll never get up because you are
- 19:57Speaker 1: just as abusive as an abusive man. You're just shorter.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Mean as a starving rattlesnake. Say anything to him about him,
- 20:15Speaker 1: to his face, about his family, about his mama, about
- 20:18Speaker 1: his kin, because you are cutting off all access to
- 20:23Speaker 1: anything for faith to work with. Oh, but I don't
- 20:31Speaker 1: care what you say. I withstand your ideas. I fight
- 20:36Speaker 1: your ideas. I am somebody. I am worth something. I
- 20:41Speaker 1: can build. I can evolve. You think whatever you want
- 20:45Speaker 1: to think, but you can't change the way I think
- 20:48Speaker 1: about myself as a man thinketh in himself. Slap somebody
- 21:01Speaker 1: and say, I think so. I think so. I don't
- 21:07Speaker 1: care what you write. I don't care what you tweet.
- 21:10Speaker 1: I don't care what you text. I don't care what
- 21:12Speaker 1: you blog. I think so. And as long as I
- 21:16Speaker 1: think so, what you think don't have nothing to do
- 21:20Speaker 1: with what I think. I think so. Oh, it's going
- 21:26Speaker 1: to get tough in here in a minute. How is
- 21:36Speaker 1: little Tommy Jakes going to be a preacher? How is
- 21:39Speaker 1: he going to be a preacher? He got a list,
- 21:41Speaker 1: but he can't do it. I don't care what you think.
- 21:44Speaker 1: I think so. And look at me now. Look at
- 21:58Speaker 1: somebody and say, how you like me now? Now faith
- 22:02Speaker 1: is a substance of the thing I hope for. If
- 22:16Speaker 1: I don't, if the day you lose your hope, you
- 22:21Speaker 1: lost your life, So the devil isn't so much after
- 22:27Speaker 1: your faith, he's after your hope. That it could be better.
- 22:34Speaker 1: That you could rebuild your life. That the second half
- 22:38Speaker 1: could be the best half. That the best is yet
- 22:41Speaker 1: to come. That God has more for you. That you're
- 22:44Speaker 1: important to God. That God has a plan for your life.
- 22:48Speaker 1: That all things are possible to him that believe. The
- 22:52Speaker 1: enemy is doing everything he can to destroy your hope.
- 22:56Speaker 1: He always will let somebody bring you some bad news. Oh,
- 23:02Speaker 1: but I'm like the wicked witch. Don't nobody bring me
- 23:04Speaker 1: no bad news. I'll hang up on you. I can't
- 23:07Speaker 1: let it in. I'll cut it off the TV set.
- 23:10Speaker 1: I'll stop watching it because I know you're trying to
- 23:13Speaker 1: infect my faith. The devil is a lie. My faith
- 23:18Speaker 1: is the substance of the thing I hope for. It
- 23:32Speaker 1: is the evidence of the thing not yet seen. Evidence
- 23:39Speaker 1: is admitted into court. It is proof. It is receipts.
- 23:47Speaker 1: It validates. It is the evidence. Eyes have not seen.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Ears have not heard. Neither have entered into the heart
- 24:01Speaker 1: of man the things that God has prepared, the things
- 24:05Speaker 1: that God has prepared for them that love him. This
- 24:09Speaker 1: is the evidence of things unseen. Remember when you were
- 24:18Speaker 1: a child, how you had imagination. You had great imagination.
- 24:28Speaker 1: You believed you had imagination. Somebody told me the other
- 24:34Speaker 1: day they jumped out of the window because they thought
- 24:36Speaker 1: they could fly. When you stop dreaming, you stop flying.
- 24:52Speaker 1: I have a question. What took away your hope When
- 25:05Speaker 1: did you stop dreaming? Did divorce do that to you?
- 25:19Speaker 1: Did you let the rapist take away your hope? Did
- 25:25Speaker 1: your mama prefer your sister kill your hope? Faith is
- 25:31Speaker 1: the substance of things. Hope for it is the evidence
- 25:33Speaker 1: of things not seen. For by it, the elders obtained
- 25:42Speaker 1: a good report. They wasn't good. They wasn't good. But
- 25:50Speaker 1: they were able to get a good report by faith.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Abraham believed God and it was counted unto him as righteousness.
- 26:07Speaker 1: He wasn't righteous. Abraham wasn't righteous. Don't make me take
- 26:16Speaker 1: you back to Bible class. Abraham was not righteous. I'm
- 26:19Speaker 1: not saying he wasn't a good man, but he was
- 26:21Speaker 1: not righteous. But he believed God and it was counted
- 26:28Speaker 1: unto him That's righteousness. I go crazy talking to accountants.
- 26:33Speaker 1: No disrespect to none of you. But you drive me crazy.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Because to me, I bring the money in. I bring
- 26:39Speaker 1: it in. Here it is. This is what we got. No,
- 26:43Speaker 1: we can't account for it like that. We have to
- 26:47Speaker 1: put it in this column. I said, just put it
- 26:49Speaker 1: in the bank. I don't care what column you put
- 26:53Speaker 1: it in. Just put it in the bank. Well, if
- 26:56Speaker 1: you borrow it from this column and put it over here,
- 27:00Speaker 1: it's all the same money. But it's how you account
- 27:06Speaker 1: for it that passes the audit. Abraham believed God and
- 27:16Speaker 1: it was counted unto him. as righteousness. He wasn't righteous,
- 27:22Speaker 1: but God marked it up on the ledger as righteous
- 27:28Speaker 1: because he had faith. Faith is like food stamps. You
- 27:33Speaker 1: ain't got no money, but we'll take it like money.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Come on, come on. I'm going to teach it till
- 27:41Speaker 1: you get it. Everybody else walked in the store with
- 27:45Speaker 1: money and American Express and MasterCard and Visa. And here
- 27:50Speaker 1: come Mammy Wilson with a bag full of food stamps.
- 27:54Speaker 1: But she got just as much food as everybody else
- 27:58Speaker 1: because the food stamp was accounted. This is why I
- 28:08Speaker 1: want you to understand why people hate you because people
- 28:11Speaker 1: hate you because they know something about you. And they
- 28:14Speaker 1: know you ain't that righteous. And they know you ain't
- 28:16Speaker 1: that holy. And they know you ain't that good. And
- 28:19Speaker 1: they saw you do something stupid. And they heard you
- 28:22Speaker 1: did something stupid. And they fussing at you right now, saying,
- 28:25Speaker 1: I ain't going to listen at her. I'm not going
- 28:28Speaker 1: to listen at him. But what they don't know is
- 28:31Speaker 1: God is a bookkeeper. Amen. and he accounted it as righteousness.
- 28:45Speaker 1: And what you need to know is once the books
- 28:49Speaker 1: say you're righteous, stop acting like you ain't. Walk in
- 28:57Speaker 1: what God said. Talk in what God said. Move in
- 29:01Speaker 1: what God said. Preach in what God said. Because according
- 29:05Speaker 1: to the books, you think you're waiting on God God
- 29:16Speaker 1: is waiting on you God is waiting on you to
- 29:20Speaker 1: believe what he said about you not what you remember
- 29:24Speaker 1: about you for by it the elders obtained a good
- 29:34Speaker 1: report watch this can't go a little deeper through faith
- 29:37Speaker 1: we understand Through faith, we understand. Faith is the truth
- 29:44Speaker 1: we stand under. Through faith, we stand under. It is
- 29:52Speaker 1: my covering. Through faith, we understand. That the worlds were framed.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Now when you read that in the King James Bible,
- 30:02Speaker 1: it sounds like he's talking about the creation. He really isn't.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Because when he says through faith we understand that the
- 30:08Speaker 1: worlds were framed by the word of God, that is
- 30:10Speaker 1: true of the creation. But in this particular text, he
- 30:14Speaker 1: is not using the Greek word cosmos. He's using the
- 30:18Speaker 1: Greek word eons, which is ages. Ages. Through faith we
- 30:28Speaker 1: understand that the ages were hemmed in by the word
- 30:36Speaker 1: of God. That my future is locked. That he's got
- 30:44Speaker 1: a hedge around tomorrow. I'll prove it to you by
- 30:49Speaker 1: the Bible. Lucifer, go curse Job. You know I can't
- 30:57Speaker 1: curse Job. You got a hedge around him. A curse
- 31:05Speaker 1: speaks to how you're going to end up. How can
- 31:08Speaker 1: I mess with his future when you got a hedge
- 31:11Speaker 1: around his future? Through faith we understand that the eons
- 31:16Speaker 1: were framed by the word of your tomorrow is already fixed.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Your tomorrow is already fixed. You down on your knees
- 31:28Speaker 1: crying about how I'm going to make it, what I'm
- 31:31Speaker 1: going to do, how can I get there? I don't
- 31:34Speaker 1: see no way. I don't have enough. God said, shut up.
- 31:38Speaker 1: I got it already framed in. That's enough for somebody
- 31:56Speaker 1: to start running right there. Your future is fixed. The
- 32:03Speaker 1: witch can't curse you. The wallop can't curse you. Your
- 32:09Speaker 1: enemies can't curse you because God's got you hedged in.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Your tomorrow is in his hands. Your next week is
- 32:19Speaker 1: in his hands. Your next year is in his hands.
- 32:22Speaker 1: He's got the whole world in his hands. Whole wide world.
- 32:29Speaker 1: In his hands, he got the whole world. In his hands,
- 32:34Speaker 1: he got the whole world. In his hands, he got
- 32:39Speaker 1: you and me, brother. In his hands, he got you
- 32:43Speaker 1: and me, brother. In his hands, he got you and me, brother.
- 32:48Speaker 1: In his hands, he's got the.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by
- 33:08Speaker 1: the word of God. Now we're going to the creation
- 33:11Speaker 1: so that things that do appear were not made of
- 33:17Speaker 1: things that do appear. Honey, would you come here for
- 33:23Speaker 1: a minute? Nothing you got on, not your earrings, not
- 33:36Speaker 1: your dress, not your shoes, not your ring, nothing you
- 33:43Speaker 1: got on started out as a material. It started out
- 33:52Speaker 1: as an idea. Then they picked the material according to
- 34:00Speaker 1: the idea. It didn't start out as material. It started
- 34:09Speaker 1: out as an idea. The material didn't pick the idea.
- 34:20Speaker 1: The idea picked the material. Yes. It passed over wool,
- 34:25Speaker 1: it passed over cotton, it passed over linen because the
- 34:29Speaker 1: idea had a specific idea in mind and said, once
- 34:33Speaker 1: I find what matches what I'm thinking in here, I'm
- 34:36Speaker 1: going to do out there what I'm thinking in here.
- 34:40Speaker 1: So what would you rather have, the dress or the idea?
- 34:46Speaker 1: That's why I say money is the cheapest part of me.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Because the money don't make me. If all you took
- 35:05Speaker 1: was my money, you didn't get much. Now if you'd
- 35:08Speaker 1: have took my mind, I'd be in trouble. But as
- 35:11Speaker 1: long as I got my right mind, I could get
- 35:13Speaker 1: me some more money. I could make another dress. I
- 35:17Speaker 1: could create more earrings. I could get more shoes. As
- 35:20Speaker 1: long as I got the idea. So that things that
- 35:25Speaker 1: do appear, the right way, the right time, the right place,
- 35:30Speaker 1: the right moment, the right way. And if you would
- 35:33Speaker 1: get out of God's way, And stop trying to design
- 35:37Speaker 1: your own life and plan your own future and manage
- 35:41Speaker 1: your own stuff and fix yourself up and just give
- 35:45Speaker 1: it all over to God and say, whatever you want
- 35:47Speaker 1: me to have, I'll take it. Whenever you think I'm
- 35:49Speaker 1: ready for it, I'll move into it. Whatever you design
- 35:52Speaker 1: for me, I'll go for it. If you would step back,
- 35:55Speaker 1: that would be faith. But because you got your mouth
- 36:00Speaker 1: in God's design, that's not faith. And without faith, it
- 36:08Speaker 1: is impossible. Sing all you want to. Preach all you will.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Dance all you want to. You cannot dance your way
- 36:18Speaker 1: into favor. Can I go a little bit further? Thank you, honey.
- 36:29Speaker 1: So faith is so important. Bishop, how do I get it?
- 36:34Speaker 1: Faith coming by hearing. And hearing by the word of God.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Wait a minute. So if I'm going to have faith,
- 36:43Speaker 1: I got to protect what I hear. Okay. So I
- 36:53Speaker 1: got to shut down all these voices. External and internal. Internal.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Because it creates a belief system that either cancels out
- 37:10Speaker 1: my blessing or grows my blessing. If I'm sick in
- 37:16Speaker 1: my system, I'm going to be sick in my substance.
- 37:28Speaker 1: That's why when I talk to you like this, I'm
- 37:31Speaker 1: talking about how you think about Because if I'm sick
- 37:38Speaker 1: in my thinking, I'm going to be sick in my results.
- 37:44Speaker 1: I'm going to self-sabotage everything God has for me because
- 37:51Speaker 1: I'm not clear right here. Are you hearing what I'm saying?
- 37:58Speaker 1: By faith, Abel offered up a more excellent sacrifice than Cain. Mm-hmm. Yeah.
- 38:06Speaker 1: And through it his blood yet speaketh. By faith Noah
- 38:13Speaker 1: being warned of God of things not yet seen built
- 38:15Speaker 1: an ark to the saving of his house. So Noah
- 38:21Speaker 1: built a boat with no water. In his backyard willing
- 38:36Speaker 1: to look like a fool and wait on the rain
- 38:40Speaker 1: to catch up with what he built. Some of you
- 38:47Speaker 1: are going to have to build something that looks like
- 38:49Speaker 1: a fool and wait on the rain to catch up
- 38:52Speaker 1: with you. Where are my innovators at? See, most people
- 39:01Speaker 1: are building their future around the past. And how it
- 39:07Speaker 1: used to be. But people who are innovative build around
- 39:12Speaker 1: the future and how it's going to be. Noah built
- 39:17Speaker 1: an ark to the saving of his house. His whole
- 39:21Speaker 1: house got saved because he was willing to look like
- 39:24Speaker 1: a fool for a little while. And let the rain
- 39:27Speaker 1: catch up with him. Somebody online, the rain is... going
- 39:30Speaker 1: to catch up with you. Stay right where you are
- 39:33Speaker 1: and let them laugh at you. Let them look at
- 39:35Speaker 1: you funny. Let them talk like you're a fool. Let
- 39:38Speaker 1: them say it doesn't make any sense. You bought that property.
- 39:41Speaker 1: It don't even make any sense. There's nothing around it.
- 39:44Speaker 1: There's nothing there right now. But don't worry. The rain's
- 39:47Speaker 1: going to catch up with you. The rain's going to
- 39:49Speaker 1: catch up with you. Am I talking to anybody in here?
- 39:52Speaker 1: Am I talking to anybody in here? A woman said
- 40:01Speaker 1: to my wife this other day, said, who would ever
- 40:03Speaker 1: thought that you would end up being where you are?
- 40:12Speaker 1: She did. They didn't think I'd end up where I was.
- 40:19Speaker 1: But the rain caught up with me. Young people, let
- 40:27Speaker 1: the rain catch up with you. Let the rain catch
- 40:31Speaker 1: up with you. While other people are acting a fool,
- 40:33Speaker 1: build something that don't make no sense and let the
- 40:35Speaker 1: rain catch up with you. Let the rain catch up
- 40:37Speaker 1: with you. Who am I talking to? If I'm talking
- 40:40Speaker 1: to you, make some noise in here. I'm going to
- 40:48Speaker 1: stop in a minute. I'm going to hurry this along.
- 40:51Speaker 1: You remember when the woman came down to the well
- 40:53Speaker 1: and she says to Jesus, Jesus sitting at the well,
- 40:57Speaker 1: you know, he's just chilling. He's, He's chilling out, hanging
- 41:00Speaker 1: out at the well, being cool, looking fly. And he says, woman,
- 41:10Speaker 1: give me the drink. She said, you player. If you
- 41:18Speaker 1: really wanted water, who comes to a well with nothing
- 41:22Speaker 1: to draw with? All I want is nothing to draw with.
- 41:30Speaker 1: If you have faith, if you do not have faith,
- 41:34Speaker 1: you have nothing to draw with. See, the woman was right.
- 41:39Speaker 1: Who sits by a well with nothing to draw with?
- 41:43Speaker 1: So you come to church. But if you don't have faith,
- 41:56Speaker 1: you don't have nothing to draw with. So you scrolling
- 42:01Speaker 1: around on your Instagram right now and you think about
- 42:04Speaker 1: what you're going to cook for dinner and did you
- 42:05Speaker 1: cut the stove off and where we're going to go
- 42:08Speaker 1: eat when this is over. All of that says you
- 42:11Speaker 1: have nothing to draw with. You're sitting by a well.
- 42:16Speaker 1: You're sitting in the presence of a miracle. You're sitting
- 42:20Speaker 1: in your destiny. You're sitting in your future. You're sitting
- 42:24Speaker 1: in the thirst quenching power of God. But if your
- 42:28Speaker 1: mind is somewhere else, you won't get it. Not because
- 42:32Speaker 1: the water's not in the well. You don't have nothing
- 42:35Speaker 1: to draw with. How many people in here got something
- 42:42Speaker 1: to draw with? Have you ever gone to church that really, really,
- 42:50Speaker 1: a service that really, really blessed you and you rode
- 42:53Speaker 1: with somebody that didn't pay no attention to it? That
- 42:58Speaker 1: means that we can be at the same place at
- 42:59Speaker 1: the same time. But if you don't have faith, you
- 43:03Speaker 1: don't have nothing to draw with. So you went home dry,
- 43:06Speaker 1: I went home wet. Not because we didn't go to
- 43:09Speaker 1: the same church, but I had something to draw with,
- 43:12Speaker 1: you didn't have nothing to draw with. Do you not
- 43:14Speaker 1: know that your faith controls my message? Do you not
- 43:23Speaker 1: know that you can draw the preacher out of me?
- 43:27Speaker 1: You can draw the teacher out of me. That certain
- 43:30Speaker 1: crowds draw things out of you that other people don't
- 43:33Speaker 1: draw out of you. Because when they make a demand
- 43:36Speaker 1: on the anointing, the anointing shows up in a greater way.
- 43:40Speaker 1: I wish I had a thousand people that would provoke
- 43:44Speaker 1: me right now. When you come to church, you ought
- 43:58Speaker 1: to say, I'm going to draw it out of my
- 44:00Speaker 1: man of God. I don't care what he feels like.
- 44:03Speaker 1: I don't care what it looks like. I don't care
- 44:05Speaker 1: what kind of week he had. I came here with
- 44:08Speaker 1: something to draw with. And I'm not going to leave
- 44:10Speaker 1: this well until I get this water that I thirst
- 44:14Speaker 1: no more. Somebody say, draw it out, draw it out,
- 44:18Speaker 1: draw it out, draw it out. Come on, come on.
- 44:21Speaker 1: Draw it out, draw it out, draw it out, draw
- 44:24Speaker 1: it out, draw it out, draw it. Yeah, I want it.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Give it to me. Draw it out, draw it out,
- 44:30Speaker 1: draw it out, draw it out, draw it out. Watch this.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Y'all ain't gonna like me for this. You're gonna sit
- 44:49Speaker 1: out so you might as well sit out now. There's
- 44:53Speaker 1: another woman in your woman. And if you had something
- 45:01Speaker 1: to draw with, you could draw it out. If you
- 45:11Speaker 1: don't believe it, wait till the next guy get her.
- 45:25Speaker 1: There's another man in the man you got. And the
- 45:30Speaker 1: only reason his ex didn't get it is that she
- 45:33Speaker 1: didn't have nothing to draw with. And if you come
- 45:36Speaker 1: in and you know how to draw it out of him,
- 45:38Speaker 1: she won't even recognize him when she sees him again.
- 45:43Speaker 1: I wish I had some drawers in here. Draw it out.
- 45:46Speaker 1: Draw it out. Draw it out. Draw it out. Draw
- 45:49Speaker 1: it out. Draw it out. Draw it out. Treasury people
- 45:58Speaker 1: say it's a faith thing. I'm going to prove it.
- 46:04Speaker 1: I'm going to prove it. I'm going to prove it.
- 46:06Speaker 1: I'm going to prove it. I'm going to prove it.
- 46:07Speaker 1: I'm going to prove it. I'm going to prove it.
- 46:09Speaker 1: Somebody's getting healed right now. Somebody's getting healed. While somebody's
- 46:14Speaker 1: sitting around looking, somebody's being healed. Somebody's getting a breakthrough.
- 46:18Speaker 1: While somebody's sitting around playing with their phone, somebody's getting
- 46:21Speaker 1: a breakthrough. While somebody's sitting around looking out the window,
- 46:25Speaker 1: somebody's being delivered. Don't let that somebody be you. I
- 46:29Speaker 1: want the person that's getting something from God to leap
- 46:33Speaker 1: up on your feet and praise God like you have
- 46:36Speaker 1: the wind. Praise God like you just got wet. Praise
- 46:42Speaker 1: God like you just dropped your bucket down into his
- 46:46Speaker 1: promises and pulled up your healing and pulled up your
- 46:51Speaker 1: deliverance and pulled up your breakthrough. Somebody start pulling it up.
- 46:57Speaker 1: I'm going to pull it out of this well. I'm
- 46:59Speaker 1: going to pull it out of this moment. I'm going
- 47:02Speaker 1: to pull it out. I don't care if I look funny.
- 47:05Speaker 1: I'm going to pull it out right now. God's got
- 47:08Speaker 1: something for me. And I'm not going to leave this
- 47:10Speaker 1: well until I pull it out. I got something to
- 47:14Speaker 1: draw with. You understand the words that I'm saying? I said,
- 47:32Speaker 1: do you understand the words that I'm saying? Do you
- 47:36Speaker 1: understand the words that I'm saying? Do you understand the
- 47:42Speaker 1: words that I'm saying? Do you understand it? Do you
- 47:46Speaker 1: understand it? Do you receive it? Draw it out. Make
- 47:52Speaker 1: the devil mad and draw it out. Make hell nervous
- 47:56Speaker 1: and draw it out. Break every yoke and draw it out.
- 48:00Speaker 1: Break generational curses and draw it out. I'm going to
- 48:12Speaker 1: quote this scripture and I'm going to close right here.
- 48:16Speaker 1: That's why I had you stand up. The word, the
- 48:22Speaker 1: Bible says in Hebrews 4, 1. Let us therefore fear
- 48:29Speaker 1: lest a promise be left to us of entering into
- 48:33Speaker 1: his rest. Any of you should seem to come short
- 48:36Speaker 1: of it. Let's be scared. Let us have fear. Go
- 48:46Speaker 1: back to verse one. Let us therefore fear lest the
- 48:50Speaker 1: promise being left us of entering into his rest any
- 48:56Speaker 1: should seem to come short of it. Come on, verse two.
- 49:01Speaker 1: For unto us was the gospel preached as well as
- 49:04Speaker 1: unto them. But the word preach did not Profit them.
- 49:15Speaker 1: Not being mixed with your profit is tied to your
- 49:28Speaker 1: faith no faith no profit no faith no profit the
- 49:35Speaker 1: word did not profit as strong as God's word is
- 49:40Speaker 1: It did not profit them, not mixed with faith in
- 49:46Speaker 1: them that heard it. There were certain cities that Jesus
- 49:50Speaker 1: could not do miracles in because they had nothing to
- 49:55Speaker 1: draw with. This morning as I close, I'm going to
- 50:01Speaker 1: stop there. I feel like going into an outright crazy
- 50:04Speaker 1: spanked uranium preaching fit. Thank you.
- 50:41Speaker 2: There is something that God has for you. And you're
- 50:48Speaker 2: going to need faith to draw it out. It's not
- 51:02Speaker 2: a dancing thing. It's not a shouting thing. It's not
- 51:08Speaker 2: a scripture quoting thing.
- 51:11Speaker 1: This has come down to a faith fight. And you
- 51:19Speaker 1: got to stand still and steady yourself and strengthen your
- 51:23Speaker 1: backbone and stand up against the enemy. And this is
- 51:30Speaker 1: why you got to talk to him like this. You
- 51:31Speaker 1: got to walk right up to him and say, though
- 51:35Speaker 1: he slay me. Yet shall I trust him. And you
- 51:46Speaker 1: got to walk up to Mr. Devil and introduce yourself
- 51:48Speaker 1: to Mr. Devil and say, Mr. Devil, I'm the head.
- 51:54Speaker 1: I'm the head and not the tail. I'm above and
- 51:57Speaker 1: not beneath. I'm more than a conqueror. I'm blessed in
- 52:02Speaker 1: the city. Amen. I'm blessed in the field. I'm blessed
- 52:06Speaker 1: in my uprising. I'm blessed in my down city. If
- 52:10Speaker 1: I'm blessed in Charleston, I'll be blessed in Dallas. If
- 52:14Speaker 1: I go to Chicago, I'll be blessed in Chicago. Because
- 52:17Speaker 1: the blessing is not on the city. The blessing is
- 52:20Speaker 1: on me. And everywhere my feet draw, God's going to
- 52:26Speaker 1: give it to me. You know why, devil? You know why, devil?
- 52:36Speaker 1: Let me tell you why. You can't stop me. It's
- 52:41Speaker 1: a faith thing. It's a faith thing. You can have
- 52:46Speaker 1: my coat, but you can't have my faith. You can
- 52:50Speaker 1: have my shoes, but you can't have my faith. You
- 52:55Speaker 1: can take my car, but you can't.
