- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to the Rogue Recap. Hot takes, cold facts, and
- 0:05Speaker 1: zero respect for the official narrative. Sit back, roll your
- 0:09Speaker 1: eyes and let's recap rogue style.
- 0:14Speaker 2: What's up and welcome to the Roague Recap. I am
- 0:16Speaker 2: Linda McLachlin. So excited to be with you. It's been
- 0:19Speaker 2: a couple of days. I was traveling again, and I
- 0:21Speaker 2: tell you, guys, when you get on the road for work,
- 0:23Speaker 2: it is so hard to get to a microphone, even
- 0:26Speaker 2: for twenty minutes. So back here. Today is Monday, March sixteenth,
- 0:32Speaker 2: and my main issue today is going to be the
- 0:36Speaker 2: Save Act and the immense amount of bullshit being thrown
- 0:42Speaker 2: at you the American people from the right and the left. Now,
- 0:48Speaker 2: I think the lead of everything I'm going to say
- 0:52Speaker 2: is the following sentence. Senators for the most part, are lazy, lying,
- 1:00Speaker 2: and not willing to do a talking filibuster because it
- 1:03Speaker 2: means that they have to actually show up and work.
- 1:06Speaker 2: They are not used to doing that. Okay, what they
- 1:09Speaker 2: are used to doing is going home on a Friday,
- 1:14Speaker 2: using a working day a Friday to travel, then being
- 1:19Speaker 2: at home on the weekend, saying that they're in their
- 1:22Speaker 2: home districts with their home people in their home state,
- 1:26Speaker 2: and they're representing their constituents, right, Okay, Then they use
- 1:31Speaker 2: a Monday to come back again traveling on a workday,
- 1:37Speaker 2: and then they don't actually get to work until Tuesday. Now,
- 1:40Speaker 2: I will tell you that this is an epidemic in Congress,
- 1:44Speaker 2: both in the House and the Senate. There is this
- 1:48Speaker 2: very odd understanding that on Fridays and Mondays people are
- 1:53Speaker 2: traveling to and from their homes their home states to DC.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:59Speaker 2: I don't know about you, but when I travel for work,
- 2:02Speaker 2: I do not get a work day for the travel.
- 2:06Speaker 2: I have to be at the work location wherever that is,
- 2:11Speaker 2: during work hours. So it means I'm taking a very
- 2:15Speaker 2: very early morning flight. It means I'm taking a very
- 2:18Speaker 2: very late evening flight. I'm leaving after my last meeting
- 2:22Speaker 2: after work. It doesn't mean that I'm getting a ten
- 2:26Speaker 2: am flight in the middle of a work day because
- 2:30Speaker 2: that's what's convenient for me, because you know what, that's
- 2:32Speaker 2: not convenient for your boss, last time I checked. And
- 2:35Speaker 2: by the way, we're the boss. So that's the high level.
- 2:39Speaker 2: So supposedly Thoon is bringing the Save Act. The House
- 2:44Speaker 2: passed legislation from April of twenty twenty five that Chipwary
- 2:49Speaker 2: proposed and was passed by the House, and I think
- 2:52Speaker 2: they've already passed it twice if memory serves, and now
- 2:56Speaker 2: it's finally coming to the Senate for a vote. Here's
- 2:59Speaker 2: the problem. It's doa This is, as some are calling
- 3:03Speaker 2: it online, kubuki theater. It's all for show. It's for
- 3:07Speaker 2: Thune to say that he did what he was supposed
- 3:10Speaker 2: to do and he got this bill to the floor
- 3:14Speaker 2: for a vote. The problem is, we need a talking filibuster.
- 3:18Speaker 2: We need the people that are going to say they're
- 3:21Speaker 2: for it to explain why they're for it, and we
- 3:24Speaker 2: need the people that are not being honest about why
- 3:28Speaker 2: they're not for it to have to also defend that.
- 3:32Speaker 2: And many people are saying that this just takes too
- 3:35Speaker 2: much time. I have no idea how it's possible for
- 3:41Speaker 2: these people to get away with this, but that is
- 3:44Speaker 2: literally what they're saying. They're also saying other really strange things.
- 3:48Speaker 2: And let me just preface what I'm about to get
- 3:51Speaker 2: into with the Save Act going before the Senate is
- 3:57Speaker 2: thirty two pages long. Into that, again, the Save Act
- 4:02Speaker 2: going before the Senate ver vote is thirty two pages long.
- 4:08Speaker 2: It is available for anyone to read. It is not
- 4:12Speaker 2: a secret. You don't have to wonder about what's in
- 4:16Speaker 2: it or argue about what's in it, because it is
- 4:20Speaker 2: there for you in black and white. The idea that
- 4:25Speaker 2: people like Dick Durbin and Chuck Schumer are stating things
- 4:31Speaker 2: like you don't have you need a passport and it
- 4:35Speaker 2: has to match your marriage certificate, or married women can't vote,
- 4:40Speaker 2: or it costs too much money people can't afford it,
- 4:43Speaker 2: or Chuck Schumer saying that this is because Republicans are
- 4:47Speaker 2: doing so badly in the polls, and so that's why
- 4:50Speaker 2: we're doing this, because we know we won't win. Have
- 4:53Speaker 2: you ever in your life said to somebody, I believe
- 4:58Speaker 2: in this so much that I don't want to talk
- 5:01Speaker 2: about it. No, if you say you believe in it
- 5:03Speaker 2: so much, you want to talk about it. Conversely, if
- 5:08Speaker 2: you don't believe in it, you also want to talk
- 5:11Speaker 2: about it, because most of the time, when you're on
- 5:14Speaker 2: opposite sides of an issue, you want to debate it.
- 5:17Speaker 2: People who feel very strongly about something one way or
- 5:21Speaker 2: the other will debate with someone who feels in the
- 5:23Speaker 2: contrarian view. Right, So Why wouldn't people want to get
- 5:28Speaker 2: up and say why they're against the Save Act? Why
- 5:32Speaker 2: wouldn't they if they're so against it, if they think
- 5:35Speaker 2: it's that demoralizing and dehumanizing and all the other bullshit
- 5:39Speaker 2: excuses that they have.
- 5:40Speaker 4: Right.
- 5:41Speaker 2: So, Senator Lee of Utah has been probably the loudest
- 5:47Speaker 2: and most prolific voice on this subject matter because a
- 5:52Speaker 2: he has he really does have an incredible grasp of
- 5:57Speaker 2: the law. He was on the short list for this report,
- 6:01Speaker 2: as was his brother, ironically, and he really understands the
- 6:06Speaker 2: rules of the Senate body. You know, a lot of
- 6:10Speaker 2: people do not understand the process and the process, you know,
- 6:13Speaker 2: legislatively behind how bills are proposed and culture and how
- 6:17Speaker 2: they move forward. Your average American has no idea how
- 6:20Speaker 2: that works.
- 6:21Speaker 4: Right.
- 6:22Speaker 2: But what we've gotten to at this point is we've
- 6:24Speaker 2: got the bill coming to the Senate, it's past the House.
- 6:30Speaker 2: We have a Republican controlled Senate. Why wouldn't we we
- 6:34Speaker 2: be able to pass one of the premier Trump policies.
- 6:41Speaker 2: It's one of those things that he ran on was
- 6:43Speaker 2: election integrity and making sure only citizens vote in our elections.
- 6:48Speaker 2: And yet we are unable to get Republicans to align
- 6:54Speaker 2: on this issue. And when you ask people like Murkowski
- 6:59Speaker 2: or Collins or tell Us, I mean, tell Us is
- 7:01Speaker 2: a real piece of shit. He's been a piece of shit.
- 7:03Speaker 2: After what he did to the poor people of his
- 7:06Speaker 2: state during Hurricane Helene, I was like, Oh, this guy's
- 7:09Speaker 2: bad dude. There's nothing he can say that would make
- 7:13Speaker 2: me feel that he is worth one iota of my time.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Not to mention the fact that a couple of weeks
- 7:19Speaker 2: ago we had a dog parade in the middle of Congress.
- 7:22Speaker 2: I'm like, sir, we have things going on with Venezuela, Cuba, Iran.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Oh and by the way, the Save Act. Oh and
- 7:30Speaker 2: did I mention that we're on the cusp of a shutdown,
- 7:33Speaker 2: because that was before it had happened. That guy doesn't
- 7:36Speaker 2: give a shit. He's a bad dude. But he's another rhino,
- 7:40Speaker 2: right not running for reelection, getting out, thank god. But
- 7:44Speaker 2: the issue is we still got to deal with him,
- 7:46Speaker 2: you know, to the end of this year, and he
- 7:47Speaker 2: has a say in this vote, and people are saying, well,
- 7:51Speaker 2: you know, we can't, we can't vote for this because
- 7:53Speaker 2: you know, it's it's racist, it's illegal. You know, people
- 7:59Speaker 2: don't know how to to show ID. What the hell
- 8:03Speaker 2: do you think is wrong with Americans in twenty twenty six?
- 8:08Speaker 2: Are you seriously telling me that people do not have ID?
- 8:13Speaker 2: Are you seriously telling me that people that are low
- 8:17Speaker 2: income individuals do not have ID? How do they get
- 8:21Speaker 2: their welfare checks? How do they get their EBT cards?
- 8:25Speaker 2: How do they get their food stamps? How does any
- 8:27Speaker 2: of this happen if they don't have ID? Because all
- 8:31Speaker 2: of those things require ID. Additionally, you need ID to
- 8:37Speaker 2: vote in Congress? Did you know that? Did you know
- 8:40Speaker 2: they have to put their ID onto a scanner before
- 8:43Speaker 2: they can click yes or no to a certain piece
- 8:46Speaker 2: of legislation? Why do they need ID? Do we not
- 8:49Speaker 2: know that they're a member of Congress? Of course we do,
- 8:52Speaker 2: but it is a further measure to say this vote
- 8:56Speaker 2: is mine. The irony is baffling, right, And so it
- 9:01Speaker 2: really comes down to a very simple thing. What are
- 9:03Speaker 2: you afraid of? What are you so scared of that
- 9:07Speaker 2: you will not move forward with the Save Act? So
- 9:09Speaker 2: I pulled together a couple of things for today. The
- 9:13Speaker 2: first one and I apologize because I can't stand to
- 9:16Speaker 2: listen to it either, But it's important that we do
- 9:18Speaker 2: because we have to know who these assholes are, right,
- 9:22Speaker 2: We need to know who they really are. When they
- 9:24Speaker 2: tell you, hey, we think you're too stupid to get
- 9:27Speaker 2: an ID, we think not only are you too stupid,
- 9:30Speaker 2: but you're too confused on how to present your ID
- 9:33Speaker 2: when you get to a polling place. This is what
- 9:37Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer is saying about the Save Act just today.
- 9:40Speaker 2: You have to hear it for yourself. I won't do a.
- 9:42Speaker 5: Justice called bill, And if Republicans try to burn time
- 9:47Speaker 5: on this legislation here on the floor, we will oppose
- 9:51Speaker 5: them for as long as it takes. Donald Trump and
- 9:55Speaker 5: Senate Republicans know their numbers. They're sinking badly. They know
- 9:59Speaker 5: the American people are souring on their agenda. They know
- 10:03Speaker 5: with each passing day the prospects for their prospects for
- 10:06Speaker 5: November get worse. So what do they do? Do they
- 10:10Speaker 5: change course? Did they try to work with Democrats to
- 10:14Speaker 5: lower costs? Stop the Iran war? Help lower.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Is this guy kidding me? Stop grocery costs? What were
- 10:27Speaker 2: grocery crosts under Joe Biden? What plans were you offering
- 10:32Speaker 2: people when Kamala Harris and Biden were letting in millions
- 10:36Speaker 2: of illegal immigrants to take away jobs from everyday americans.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Did you care about how much it was costing them
- 10:43Speaker 2: to survive then, when you were kicking disabled veterans out
- 10:48Speaker 2: of their assisted living facilities because you had to make
- 10:51Speaker 2: more room for illegal immigrants. And let me tell you something,
- 10:54Speaker 2: I don't need to look up that up where I
- 10:56Speaker 2: work in Manhattan, in Midtown, there were two you disabled
- 11:01Speaker 2: veteran assisted living facilities on the block where my office is.
- 11:06Speaker 2: And one day I went walking past and there was
- 11:08Speaker 2: a bunch of people out on the street, more than usual,
- 11:11Speaker 2: and so I happened to be coming out of the
- 11:12Speaker 2: subway and I stopped. I said, what's going on here?
- 11:15Speaker 2: And this guy said, you know, I'm a disabled bet,
- 11:17Speaker 2: but they just told me they got to make room
- 11:18Speaker 2: for these illegal immigrants that they're bringing in today. So
- 11:21Speaker 2: they're converting this veterans building into illegal immigrant housing. And
- 11:26Speaker 2: I was like what. He's like, Yeah, they're shipping us
- 11:29Speaker 2: off to a homeless shelter because we're disabled, we can't work,
- 11:32Speaker 2: you know, we don't get enough money from the VA.
- 11:34Speaker 2: It was heartbreaking. I didn't have to watch that on
- 11:38Speaker 2: the news. I didn't have to read a report that
- 11:40Speaker 2: happened in real life when I was walking down the
- 11:42Speaker 2: street and I saw all these guys outside, and then
- 11:45Speaker 2: I see a bunch of illegal immigrants coming in with
- 11:48Speaker 2: their seven children, going upstairs to move into apartment that
- 11:52Speaker 2: used to belong to a guy who put his life
- 11:55Speaker 2: on the line for God and country. I mean, think
- 11:57Speaker 2: about how messed up that is. Actually, it truly just
- 12:01Speaker 2: is like those are the moments when you feel the
- 12:04Speaker 2: ultimate betrayal from your own country, right, and then you
- 12:07Speaker 2: have Chuck Schummer saying that we are going to fight them.
- 12:11Speaker 2: We are not going to let them win. If you
- 12:14Speaker 2: want to know how bad it's going, we'll tell.
- 12:17Speaker 5: You well, Bill, and if Republicans try to burn time
- 12:21Speaker 5: on this legislation.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Here earn time.
- 12:24Speaker 5: We will oppose them for as long as it takes.
- 12:28Speaker 5: Donald Trump and Senate Republicans know their numbers are sinking badly.
- 12:32Speaker 5: They know the American people are souring on their agenda.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Think about that. Think about what he just said as
- 12:39Speaker 2: I play that a second time. They know that the
- 12:43Speaker 2: American people are souring on them. They know that their
- 12:47Speaker 2: numbers are sinking badly. Chuck, do you know the percentage
- 12:52Speaker 2: of Americans that support the Save America Act. I'm just
- 12:57Speaker 2: wondering asking for a friend's eighty four percent of Americans,
- 13:02Speaker 2: Democrats and Republicans. It's been reported by CNN and MSNBC
- 13:08Speaker 2: and PBS and NPR and every other liberal woke ideo
- 13:12Speaker 2: log out there, and they all say the same thing.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Regardless of whether you're on the right or the left,
- 13:19Speaker 2: you want your vote to be safe. The idea that
- 13:23Speaker 2: asking for ID to cast a ballot in a federal election,
- 13:30Speaker 2: how that somehow became a bad idea, How that became racist,
- 13:36Speaker 2: How that became anti immigrant? I have no idea? Am
- 13:41Speaker 2: I against illegal immigrants along with millions of other Americans
- 13:45Speaker 2: voting in our federal election to which they pay no
- 13:48Speaker 2: taxes that impact any of them. Yeah, I got a
- 13:51Speaker 2: real problem with that. If you are getting non citizen
- 13:57Speaker 2: driver's licenses at motor voter, if you are getting Social
- 14:01Speaker 2: Security numbers assigned to you, you are a part of
- 14:04Speaker 2: the problem. And the idea that our government is unable
- 14:08Speaker 2: to give them some sort of ID number that differs
- 14:13Speaker 2: from a standard Social Security number just shows you how
- 14:16Speaker 2: complicit they are in all of this. Because if you
- 14:19Speaker 2: ever ran a business, you have a tax ID number.
- 14:22Speaker 2: It's a completely different format than a social Security number.
- 14:26Speaker 2: It doesn't look the same. The dash is in a
- 14:28Speaker 2: different place, and it comes from a different database. Why
- 14:32Speaker 2: can't we do that for illegals? If we have illegals
- 14:35Speaker 2: coming into this country and you're that hell bent on
- 14:39Speaker 2: keeping them here, why are you giving them American citizen
- 14:42Speaker 2: social security numbers? That to me seems fairly fraudulent because
- 14:46Speaker 2: now on paper it looks like they might be legal.
- 14:50Speaker 2: So I guess your nefarious actions speak for themselves. And
- 14:53Speaker 2: now that we're saying, hey, the jig is up, we've
- 14:56Speaker 2: had enough, and now you need to defend your position
- 14:59Speaker 2: and explain and why having documentation to say that you
- 15:03Speaker 2: were born here, you're a citizen. You have your naturalization papers,
- 15:07Speaker 2: you have any kind of documentation that shows that you
- 15:10Speaker 2: are a citizen, birth certificate, naturalization, green cards, whatever it is.
- 15:16Speaker 2: But this is not a good thing for them. They
- 15:17Speaker 2: don't want that. And then they're saying, oh, well, there's
- 15:21Speaker 2: the passport's too expensive. And you know, if you get married,
- 15:24Speaker 2: it's confusing for women, you know, because their name's different
- 15:28Speaker 2: from their birth certificate to their marriage certificate. What the
- 15:32Speaker 2: hell are you telling me that people that are old
- 15:36Speaker 2: enough to pay a mortgage and get married and be
- 15:38Speaker 2: a parent and all these things are unable to keep
- 15:40Speaker 2: their documents and a folder and be able to go
- 15:43Speaker 2: down and say, yeah, I'm a citizen. What a load
- 15:46Speaker 2: of shit. It's all so insane. If I told you
- 15:50Speaker 2: that you wont ten million dollars in the lottery, but
- 15:53Speaker 2: I couldn't give it to you unlessen until you proved
- 15:57Speaker 2: that you were an American citizen, be lived in the
- 16:00Speaker 2: United States, and see had the winning lottery numbers. I
- 16:04Speaker 2: guarantee you come up with those documents pretty dimn fist,
- 16:07Speaker 2: and you wouldn't have a freaking problem with it either.
- 16:10Speaker 2: That's the issue that we have at hand. And while
- 16:12Speaker 2: Schumer is saying that our numbers are falling and the
- 16:18Speaker 2: American people are upset with us, take a listen to Harryenton.
- 16:22Speaker 2: He's the polling guy on CNN. He runs all the
- 16:24Speaker 2: numbers for them all the time. It's actually pretty funny
- 16:27Speaker 2: to watch, even though I don't agree with the network.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Listen to what he had to say this weekend about
- 16:32Speaker 2: how Americans feel about Democrats. How are voters feeling about
- 16:36Speaker 2: Democrats right now?
- 16:37Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean democrats in the minds of the American public,
- 16:40Speaker 6: are lower than the dead sea. What are we talking
- 16:42Speaker 6: about here, Well, let's take a look the net approval
- 16:45Speaker 6: rating for Democrats in Congress. You said of Kate Balwin,
- 16:48Speaker 6: the lowest ever. Look at us overall, they are fifty
- 16:51Speaker 6: five points underwater. They're approval rating is south of twenty percent.
- 16:56Speaker 6: It's even worse when you look at Independence. Look at
- 16:58Speaker 6: this negative sixty one points. That means that they're approval
- 17:02Speaker 6: rating is sixty one points lower than their disapproval rating.
- 17:05Speaker 6: Quinnipiac has been pulling this question for the better part
- 17:09Speaker 6: of the twenty first century. They have never found Democrats,
- 17:12Speaker 6: at least those in Congress, in worse shape than they
- 17:15Speaker 6: are right now.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Oh, Chuck said, day for you. I almost feel bad
- 17:21Speaker 2: for you, except I don't because you're a lying sack
- 17:23Speaker 2: of shit and everybody knows it. You have been screwing
- 17:26Speaker 2: over the American public and the Yorkers for that matter,
- 17:30Speaker 2: for a very long time. It really is time for
- 17:33Speaker 2: you to go. And that doesn't mean that I want
- 17:35Speaker 2: AOC because she's dumber than a bag of rocks. That's
- 17:37Speaker 2: not who I want either, But it's really so disingenuous
- 17:42Speaker 2: to stand there and say that we as Republicans are concerned,
- 17:46Speaker 2: we're worried, we're you know, whatever, whatever you want to say.
- 17:50Speaker 2: It's it's just horseshit it. These are the moments that
- 17:55Speaker 2: if you, as an American citizen, are watching c SPAN
- 17:59Speaker 2: or if they're there's a channel that you watch, and
- 18:01Speaker 2: they happen to be covering him on the Senate floor
- 18:04Speaker 2: and you see him say that, do you think he's
- 18:06Speaker 2: telling the truth? Oh man, what are we going to do?
- 18:10Speaker 2: Republicans are doing terrible. They're lying. They want to raise
- 18:13Speaker 2: grocery prices, and gas prices are the highest they've ever been,
- 18:16Speaker 2: and blah blah blah. Bro Donald Trump is single handedly
- 18:22Speaker 2: changing the global structure of how governments are run. He
- 18:27Speaker 2: is creating peace in the Middle East through strength, not
- 18:31Speaker 2: through weakness, not through Kamala Harris and Joe Biden. When
- 18:36Speaker 2: being asked what their matter of diplomacy is on Iran,
- 18:40Speaker 2: if they were to threaten them with a nuclear weapon,
- 18:43Speaker 2: don't That's what they said, don't. That was their big warning.
- 18:48Speaker 2: The Ayatola was like, oh my god, look at these
- 18:50Speaker 2: two yo yos could take them anytime. We won now
- 18:53Speaker 2: you have Donald Trump coming in who has allies in
- 18:57Speaker 2: Qatar and in Saudi Arabia, and he he is the
- 19:00Speaker 2: type of person that is using those relationships because those
- 19:04Speaker 2: individuals running those nations are fully aware that the Muslim
- 19:09Speaker 2: clerics using this cult ideology of Islam over everything, that
- 19:15Speaker 2: you can marry a nine year old girl, impregnated an
- 19:19Speaker 2: eleven year old girl, beat women, and treat them because
- 19:22Speaker 2: they're less than animals, cows, dogs, whatever the other analogies
- 19:25Speaker 2: are in the Quran. All of these things. You're seeing
- 19:28Speaker 2: women literally having their faces bashan by the heel of
- 19:33Speaker 2: a soldier's boot who has been told that it's okay
- 19:37Speaker 2: for them to kill that woman because she took off
- 19:40Speaker 2: her hijab and she showed her hair. You think the
- 19:43Speaker 2: blue hair freaks over here, whatever, stand up for that woman.
- 19:46Speaker 2: They want to cry about Renee Good and Alex Pretty
- 19:49Speaker 2: and how they were oppressed and how our government is
- 19:53Speaker 2: a regime that went after them. No, they were protesters
- 19:57Speaker 2: who stood and got in the way of people that
- 20:00Speaker 2: were actually doing their government job and protecting the United
- 20:04Speaker 2: States of America and arresting some of the worst illegal
- 20:08Speaker 2: immigrants in the nation, carrying out cartel crimes that went
- 20:12Speaker 2: so far as raping children under the age of ten,
- 20:15Speaker 2: And these two assholes stood in the street and tried
- 20:18Speaker 2: to stop them from doing their jobs because they have
- 20:21Speaker 2: this narrative that they've been sold by the sorrows paid
- 20:25Speaker 2: off Antifa. I oppose everything fist in the air, pre
- 20:30Speaker 2: made signs, U haul trucks of rocks and water and
- 20:33Speaker 2: weapons and all the other things. They have no idea
- 20:36Speaker 2: what they're out there for, and they have no idea
- 20:39Speaker 2: what they're protesting for, and they have no idea that
- 20:42Speaker 2: it's all a lie. And meanwhile, somewhere is a child
- 20:47Speaker 2: screaming for help. Is a woman being kicked to death.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Is a woman being stoned to death. Is a household
- 20:54Speaker 2: of people who don't believe in Islam being told that
- 20:56Speaker 2: they'll be murdered the next morning because they are kuffier
- 20:59Speaker 2: or an infidel. These are the uncomfortable facts for the
- 21:03Speaker 2: liberals and the left. But in this case of the
- 21:06Speaker 2: Save Act, right here, it's thirty two pages. Thirty two pages,
- 21:13Speaker 2: you can read it any time you want. But they don't.
- 21:18Speaker 2: They have the left leaders out there speaking and saying
- 21:22Speaker 2: that all these things about the bill that aren't true.
- 21:25Speaker 2: I'll show you another exchange now, Senator Le. I love
- 21:28Speaker 2: that guy. He's a great guy, and he very calmly
- 21:33Speaker 2: and very systematically disarms the left, not by yelling, not
- 21:38Speaker 2: by screaming, always calm, because he has the facts on
- 21:42Speaker 2: his side, and facts are very uncomfortable things. They do
- 21:47Speaker 2: not care about your feelings. And Senator Lee has done
- 21:50Speaker 2: a very good job of explaining. While we have Leader
- 21:54Speaker 2: Thune and Mitch McConnell and Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski
- 21:58Speaker 2: and Tom Tillis and all these other assholes saying that
- 22:01Speaker 2: they will not support a talking filibuster, and then you
- 22:06Speaker 2: have people like Dicky Durbin, who you're about to hear
- 22:08Speaker 2: them in this clip, who's making shit up about the
- 22:11Speaker 2: bill again, utter lies. Just read the bill. I hope
- 22:16Speaker 2: somebody during this talking filibuster reads the bill. It would
- 22:21Speaker 2: be so nice to do that. It puts everything to bed.
- 22:24Speaker 7: Take a listen, which took great pains to go out
- 22:29Speaker 7: of our way to make sure that no American, no American,
- 22:32Speaker 7: would be left in the dark. Well, this will not
- 22:34Speaker 7: cost them a dime, and no one will be excluded
- 22:37Speaker 7: if they can't find their documentation.
- 22:39Speaker 3: All of us should be aware of the fact of
- 22:41Speaker 3: what is required by this act. When it comes to
- 22:44Speaker 3: registering to vote, you have to present identification, correct, but
- 22:48Speaker 3: your driver's license, which most people use in the course
- 22:52Speaker 3: of business every single day, is not acceptable. What is
- 22:56Speaker 3: acceptable is a passport. American do not have a passport.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Those who want to obtain it so they can vote
- 23:03Speaker 3: will pay one hundred and eighty six dollars in a
- 23:05Speaker 3: way three or four weeks for that to happen. Secondly,
- 23:08Speaker 3: you can use a birth certificate, but any person who
- 23:11Speaker 3: has changed their name as a result of a marriage
- 23:15Speaker 3: or a hyphenated the relationship has to find not only
- 23:20Speaker 3: their birth certificate, but some correction of it to prove
- 23:23Speaker 3: that they're eligible registered to vote.
- 23:25Speaker 7: I'm happy to report to my dear friend, colleague, Senator
- 23:29Speaker 7: Durbin from Illinois, you're in luck. We've taken care of that.
- 23:34Speaker 7: When you read the bill, what you'll discover is that
- 23:37Speaker 7: we've made special accommodation for those who don't have documentation
- 23:40Speaker 7: or those who can't find their birth certificate. Maybe their
- 23:43Speaker 7: house burned down, maybe they're dog eated, whatever it is.
- 23:46Speaker 7: When all else fails, if you don't have documentation establishing
- 23:52Speaker 7: the information on your berth certificate or what would be
- 23:54Speaker 7: in a passport or otherwise. The bill contains a provision
- 23:58Speaker 7: requiring each state to allow an alternative mechanism by which
- 24:02Speaker 7: someone can buy attest station issue a sworn statement establishing
- 24:08Speaker 7: the critical facts underlying their citizenship. It then puts the
- 24:14Speaker 7: onus on the state to follow up on that and
- 24:17Speaker 7: to determine the authenticity of it. States have access to
- 24:21Speaker 7: their own records, States have reciprocity with other states, and
- 24:24Speaker 7: are able to achieve verification of that. So we've taken
- 24:27Speaker 7: care of that problem. And so I'm sure you'll be
- 24:29Speaker 7: elated to hear that. And we look forward to having
- 24:31Speaker 7: your affirmative vote when we vote on the Save America Act,
- 24:34Speaker 7: which took great pains to go out of our way
- 24:37Speaker 7: to make sure that no American, no American, would be
- 24:40Speaker 7: left in the dark. Well, this will not cost them
- 24:42Speaker 7: a dime, and no one will be excluded if they
- 24:45Speaker 7: can't find their documentation.
- 24:49Speaker 2: I mean, that man just undressed, Dick Durbin, And I
- 24:54Speaker 2: apologize for the visual, but you know what I mean,
- 24:58Speaker 2: Dick Durbin. First of all, God, there's so many things.
- 25:02Speaker 2: First of all, when you get married, right, you have
- 25:07Speaker 2: to present your birth certificate. You have to fill out
- 25:11Speaker 2: information about your parents, you have to fill out information
- 25:14Speaker 2: about your birth certificate, and you need to provide your
- 25:17Speaker 2: birth certificate. If you do not have your birth certificate,
- 25:21Speaker 2: you contact the state. To Mike Lee's point, every state
- 25:26Speaker 2: has the records of its citizens. So then you go
- 25:31Speaker 2: and you get your birth certificate. If you live in
- 25:33Speaker 2: a different state than the state you were born in,
- 25:36Speaker 2: you contact the state you were born in and they
- 25:38Speaker 2: will have your birth certificate and you pay I don't know,
- 25:42Speaker 2: twenty bucks, fifty bucks, whatever it is, and you get
- 25:46Speaker 2: your birth certificate. That's it. It's very simple. They mail
- 25:50Speaker 2: it to you. Now, when you get married and you
- 25:55Speaker 2: have your marriage certificate, it says on your marriage certificate
- 25:59Speaker 2: you are now taking this new name. It actually says
- 26:04Speaker 2: it on their certificate that your maiden name will now
- 26:07Speaker 2: be changed to your married name. And if your marriage
- 26:12Speaker 2: certificate is in on your person and you have your
- 26:14Speaker 2: birth certificate, all of that will match. If you were
- 26:18Speaker 2: divorced and you changed your name back or you changed
- 26:21Speaker 2: it again, all of that documentation also states these things.
- 26:26Speaker 2: And if you ever lose any of this information. Your
- 26:30Speaker 2: state and local clerks will have a record of it
- 26:34Speaker 2: because they keep records of it. All of this has
- 26:39Speaker 2: a very easy answer. Dick Durbin and Chuck Schumer and
- 26:45Speaker 2: all of these other people on the left saying that
- 26:47Speaker 2: we are unable to get these documents is simply them
- 26:52Speaker 2: saying two things. I'm scared to death of you getting
- 26:54Speaker 2: these documents owned by the way, I think you're too
- 26:56Speaker 2: stupid to get them. I am baffled at the fact
- 27:01Speaker 2: that these are sitting senators like Dick Dermot, who's been
- 27:05Speaker 2: there since the time of you know Christ. I mean literally,
- 27:09Speaker 2: he's older than dirt, and he thinks that we don't
- 27:13Speaker 2: know where our documents are. And if we don't know
- 27:15Speaker 2: where they are, And don't get me wrong, I hate paperwork.
- 27:18Speaker 2: I'm with I totally get it. But you can get
- 27:21Speaker 2: your birth certificate. I've gotten mine twice because I've moved,
- 27:26Speaker 2: I've misplaced. It wasn't a different folder, I didn't know
- 27:29Speaker 2: where it was. I have my marriage certificate. Sometimes you
- 27:33Speaker 2: need a copy of your marriage certificate. Sometimes you need
- 27:36Speaker 2: an original. So I've had to go back to the
- 27:39Speaker 2: office and say, oh, we're applying for this, Oh we
- 27:42Speaker 2: need this for this, my child needs to submit this,
- 27:45Speaker 2: so I need to get more copies of my marriage certificate.
- 27:49Speaker 2: All of this has easy, simple answers. Anybody that is
- 27:55Speaker 2: telling you that they can't do this is lying. And
- 28:00Speaker 2: so in as far as for Senator Lee to say,
- 28:03Speaker 2: they can go to the state and they can have
- 28:05Speaker 2: even an alternate mechanism and give them different provisions, how
- 28:11Speaker 2: much more can we do? But they just don't want
- 28:15Speaker 2: it because it completely and totally eradicates an entire class
- 28:20Speaker 2: of voters that they have given everything to to let
- 28:24Speaker 2: them still stay in office. Because they know the American people,
- 28:28Speaker 2: the black and white people of America, we are sick
- 28:31Speaker 2: of their shit and we are united in that, and
- 28:36Speaker 2: that unison is the one thing they never expected. So
- 28:39Speaker 2: now that they know that Black America knows their full
- 28:41Speaker 2: shit and White America knows their full shit, they've got
- 28:44Speaker 2: to turn to illegal immigrants to put them back in office,
- 28:47Speaker 2: or at least keep them there for a little while longer.
- 28:51Speaker 2: It is disgusting. And speaking of being there a little
- 28:53Speaker 2: while longer, there were two videos that came up recently
- 28:58Speaker 2: on social medium of Susan Collins and one is of
- 29:02Speaker 2: Mark Warners they're equally terrible, two different sides of the aisle.
- 29:06Speaker 2: But both of them promised when they got in office
- 29:10Speaker 2: to never be in office more than two terms. Right,
- 29:13Speaker 2: And when you win the Senate, you're in office for
- 29:14Speaker 2: six years. You have to hear it. It's worth listening
- 29:18Speaker 2: to because it just shows that they lied before they
- 29:22Speaker 2: ever won, and they've been lying ever since.
- 29:25Speaker 8: I don't want to be a lifelong politician. My view
- 29:29Speaker 8: of public service is something you do for part of
- 29:31Speaker 8: your life, not all of your life. That's why I've
- 29:33Speaker 8: said that if I'm elected of the United States Senate,
- 29:35Speaker 8: I will serve no more than two terms, because I
- 29:38Speaker 8: think the value of our system is that it's constantly
- 29:41Speaker 8: renewed by new ideas, fresh ideas, and fresh people. So Senator,
- 29:46Speaker 8: don't lecture me about what the role of the United
- 29:48Speaker 8: States Senator is. I know that role.
- 29:50Speaker 2: So that was nineteen ninety six. He's still in office,
- 29:54Speaker 2: just saying you do the math. Here's Susan Collins yet elected.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Would you vote for congressional term limits?
- 30:03Speaker 2: And I'd like to have an answer from each of you.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Let's start with Sue Collins.
- 30:08Speaker 4: I do support term limits, and I have pledged that
- 30:11Speaker 4: if I'm elected, I will only serve two terms. Regardless
- 30:15Speaker 4: of whether term limits law at constitutional amendment passes or not.
- 30:19Speaker 4: Twelve years is long enough to be in public service,
- 30:22Speaker 4: make a contribution, and then come home and let someone
- 30:25Speaker 4: else take your place.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Uh huh, fake news, another liar. I'm telling you guys,
- 30:33Speaker 2: this is what they do. They lie all day long.
- 30:36Speaker 2: They get in there, they get their lobbying money, their
- 30:39Speaker 2: big pharm of money. They do speeches, they get called senator.
- 30:43Speaker 2: They feel very special. They're not. They're lying sacks as shit.
- 30:47Speaker 2: Their time is up. Please support the Save Act. Call
- 30:51Speaker 2: your senator two two two two four three one two one.
- 30:55Speaker 2: That is the Capital switchboard, and ask for your senator's
- 30:59Speaker 2: office and tell them to vote yes to the Save Act,
- 31:03Speaker 2: yes to a talking filibuster, and get them on the record.
- 31:05Speaker 2: The time is now. We cannot wait. This is Linda McLachlin.
