- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey guys, Welcome back to Wisecracks Bill Krackenberger. Today we
- 0:03Speaker 1: have a special guest George Martarano, my buddy for a
- 0:07Speaker 1: long time, and John Orlando unfortunately couldn't be on this
- 0:11Speaker 1: show today. One of his friends, it was in the gym,
- 0:14Speaker 1: had a brain aneurysm, and unfortunately he's doing really, really bad.
- 0:19Speaker 1: So that happened yesterday, so John took off. Really makes
- 0:24Speaker 1: me feel bad. The guy's a young guy, goes to
- 0:27Speaker 1: the gym every day and poor guy. I'm praying for
- 0:29Speaker 1: the best. But John said it's really bad. So his
- 0:32Speaker 1: daughter said it's really bad. So anyway, I got George here.
- 0:35Speaker 1: He was gonna come on, but now I'm just gonna
- 0:37Speaker 1: have him on the whole show. Georgia and I did
- 0:39Speaker 1: a podcast with John in the studio and George did
- 0:43Speaker 1: thirty two years in jail from marijuana. And you've been
- 0:47Speaker 1: out though for about what ten years?
- 0:49Speaker 2: Ten years October this past nineteen.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Ten years is past October, and Georgia now has a
- 0:55Speaker 1: company called the Growfather. As a matter of fact, our
- 0:58Speaker 1: producer Jay, it's gonna put some clip a clip up.
- 1:01Speaker 1: You're on these buses in Philadelphia now you're on the
- 1:04Speaker 1: buses and yeah, his product here, the grow Father, which
- 1:08Speaker 1: there's a there's a convention here in town right now.
- 1:10Speaker 1: This is his product. I'm want I'll show John this
- 1:12Speaker 1: one too. But so this is a legal product that
- 1:17Speaker 1: is put up by we just met the people. Coincidentally,
- 1:22Speaker 1: your people here, the Little Leaf Labs. They produced this
- 1:26Speaker 1: product for the dispensaries. All right. The grow Father is
- 1:29Speaker 1: the brands. But you guys are in one hundred and
- 1:31Speaker 1: fifty two dispensaries where they at George.
- 1:34Speaker 2: All through the state of Jersey, New Jersey.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Now is marijuana legal in Pennsylvania.
- 1:41Speaker 2: It is medically, but they're going wreck soon as New York.
- 1:46Speaker 2: New York is going to probably be the state in
- 1:49Speaker 2: the in the industry, okay, because of you know, the
- 1:54Speaker 2: New York City. Yeah, so we're we going into New
- 1:58Speaker 2: York an a month goes by or other states don't
- 2:02Speaker 2: want us. But the question is, it's not about money
- 2:06Speaker 2: with my name attached to grow Father. It's about having
- 2:09Speaker 2: good product product that you pay your money and you
- 2:14Speaker 2: get your results. But it has to be not to
- 2:17Speaker 2: harm anyone. I would not put product out to harm anyone.
- 2:20Speaker 2: So it's not about money. I could have the grow
- 2:23Speaker 2: father in many other states, but I don't know the
- 2:26Speaker 2: product line. I have to actually go into the lab
- 2:30Speaker 2: where they make it and wat's house's done and bring
- 2:33Speaker 2: my specialists in. Because it is a good industry, it's
- 2:37Speaker 2: a lucrative industry. But the most important thing to me
- 2:40Speaker 2: is not hurting anyone and creating jobs. Right now in America,
- 2:44Speaker 2: there's over a million jobs from the cannabis industry. So
- 2:49Speaker 2: it's proud of that. This in my company alone, we
- 2:51Speaker 2: have twenty people working, young people who believe this is
- 2:55Speaker 2: their future. So you can say it's a new industry.
- 3:00Speaker 2: You could say it's an old, an old street wise
- 3:04Speaker 2: industry because marijuana has been around very long time. Like
- 3:09Speaker 2: you said earlier, I did thirty two years, ladies and gentlemen,
- 3:13Speaker 2: five years in solitary. I don't know if you know
- 3:16Speaker 2: what it's easy to say, five years in solitary, but
- 3:19Speaker 2: go ahead and try and do it. And all I
- 3:22Speaker 2: did was for a conspiracy to marijuana. I never got
- 3:25Speaker 2: caught with anything.
- 3:26Speaker 1: That's unbelievable. Conspiracy to marijuana.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Years, no record, no record, never even had a parking ticket.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Now that because they wanted your father.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Well, my father was in the mob.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Father was a name you can look up.
- 3:38Speaker 2: My god my godfather, Andel Bruno was the boss. My
- 3:42Speaker 2: father was the top guy. And all they wanted to
- 3:45Speaker 2: me was to be a rat, and which I never
- 3:49Speaker 2: will be. And non violent. First defending matter of fact,
- 3:53Speaker 2: my guidelines from the government were shouldn't have surpassed fifty
- 3:57Speaker 2: two months. I did over three decades. Again, it's if
- 4:02Speaker 2: I did to them what they did to me, that
- 4:05Speaker 2: would be illegal. But it wasn't illegal what they did
- 4:08Speaker 2: to me far as their councern, okay, And it was
- 4:11Speaker 2: his brutality. First of all, when you get built, when
- 4:14Speaker 2: you get life no parole, that means you die in jail.
- 4:17Speaker 2: There's no coming out. So you give me life no parole,
- 4:21Speaker 2: and then you put me in solitary for five years
- 4:24Speaker 2: punishment on top of punishment. And the only way they
- 4:27Speaker 2: got away with it they kept moving me because it
- 4:28Speaker 2: was illegal. You can't give somebody life no parole and
- 4:32Speaker 2: put them in the box. Come on, anyway, they did
- 4:35Speaker 2: that to me, and if other countries did that to
- 4:40Speaker 2: their citizens or their criminals, America would be the first
- 4:43Speaker 2: one intervened. You can't do that, that's wrong. But they
- 4:47Speaker 2: did it to.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Me, and there's no like there's no you couldn't get
- 4:51Speaker 1: a lawsuit against them or not, there's nothing like that.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Well, well, I'm pending. We're waiting for the government to
- 4:57Speaker 2: drop cannabis from a Schedule one to three. That means
- 5:00Speaker 2: Title holds at three. That means that means I'll be
- 5:05Speaker 2: exonerated from any anything illegal attached to my name as
- 5:10Speaker 2: far as the federal indictment, so I should get it.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Hopefully when that happens, I'll get a letter in a
- 5:15Speaker 2: mail because I cannot be punished futurely on paper to
- 5:20Speaker 2: be a convicted fella for something it's totally illegal. So
- 5:24Speaker 2: my lawyers will initiate. Of course, do I get a
- 5:30Speaker 2: letter in the mail that I'm exonerator for the federal indictment,
- 5:33Speaker 2: and then I'm contemplating put one hundred million dollars a
- 5:36Speaker 2: lawsuit and some of the biggest law firms in the
- 5:38Speaker 2: country want the case.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Right, George, you look unbelievable, so you look for a
- 5:44Speaker 1: class your age.
- 5:46Speaker 2: I'll be seventy six this month.
- 5:48Speaker 1: You look unbelievable. And George, so you got out when
- 5:51Speaker 1: you were sixty six? You this morning you said you
- 5:55Speaker 1: did a cold plunge, and then you jog.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Did you jog this cold plunge at four point thirty?
- 6:00Speaker 1: We're thirty in the morning, cold plunge.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Then I ran for an hour, okay, Then I went
- 6:06Speaker 2: did some weights, one more cold plunge, and then I
- 6:10Speaker 2: met you eight thirty.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Wow. Wow, he did two cold plunges before eight thirty
- 6:13Speaker 1: in the morning. No, you look great. But however, let
- 6:16Speaker 1: me tell you guys at home, guys and girls. I
- 6:20Speaker 1: got a call about a month ago, maybe a little
- 6:23Speaker 1: bit longer, and my friend said, you gotta watch this
- 6:27Speaker 1: on Netflix. It's unbelievable. Mob War Philadelphia Versus to Mafia.
- 6:32Speaker 1: And this guy's a mob historian from scrant He's got
- 6:36Speaker 1: a million books. He got to let you know, we
- 6:37Speaker 1: say a million. We always he's got. He literally has
- 6:40Speaker 1: hundreds of books, he's got thousands of hours. It's always
- 6:43Speaker 1: listens to his podcast and watch his things for him
- 6:46Speaker 1: to call me up and say, this was so good,
- 6:49Speaker 1: this Mob War Philadelphia Verse to Mafia. It's on Netflix,
- 6:53Speaker 1: so I have watched it multiple times already. I thought
- 6:55Speaker 1: it was that good. Well, first of all, I didn't
- 6:58Speaker 1: even know I turned it on. You're in it, You're
- 7:00Speaker 1: on it. I'm like, well, George.
- 7:01Speaker 2: That was filmed by a London production company called Raw.
- 7:09Speaker 2: They were paid by Netflix to do the shoot and
- 7:15Speaker 2: they were affiliated with I think, I'm not one hundred
- 7:20Speaker 2: percent sure of fair City in twenty twenty city or
- 7:24Speaker 2: they did fair.
- 7:25Speaker 1: City, got It. They did that.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Word winning fair City, word winning Get Guy. This is
- 7:31Speaker 2: the same production firm. So when I heard they were
- 7:35Speaker 2: coming to Philly to do a show, I introduced myself.
- 7:40Speaker 2: We hooked up. But the mob Ward, the Philly mob
- 7:44Speaker 2: War error was in the nineties, early nineties. I was
- 7:47Speaker 2: already away. I already was away ten twelve years. I
- 7:50Speaker 2: went away nineteen eighty three. I was around the first
- 7:54Speaker 2: two mob wards where a lot of people were killed.
- 7:58Speaker 2: I lost my godfather. I lost my father. But this
- 8:01Speaker 2: current show is doing very well.
- 8:03Speaker 1: It was on a top ten's on the top ten.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I was.
- 8:05Speaker 2: I wasn't. I wasn't there. But the reason they wanted
- 8:09Speaker 2: me on the show is that I assisted a lot
- 8:12Speaker 2: with the history of it all most important thing where locations,
- 8:19Speaker 2: things like that. So they offered I said, I don't
- 8:22Speaker 2: want to be in the show because I wasn't around
- 8:24Speaker 2: when that war went down. I said, but I'd be
- 8:26Speaker 2: nice to be happy if I could have a cameo.
- 8:29Speaker 2: You had a few of them, So they gave me
- 8:30Speaker 2: a cameo in the first hour and the third hour. Yeah,
- 8:35Speaker 2: and I was happy. And the cameo's got an awful
- 8:37Speaker 2: lot of positive reactions.
- 8:40Speaker 1: He's got a ton of views, and it's a great
- 8:42Speaker 1: I learned things. I've seen a lot of specials back
- 8:45Speaker 1: in the day. There's a guy named Bill Curtis that
- 8:47Speaker 1: used to do mafia shows. So I've seen some Philadelphia ones.
- 8:51Speaker 1: This one. I never knew who this guy, John VC was.
- 8:54Speaker 1: I never knew this guy John VC. He was on there.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Maybe the star of it, if you want to call
- 8:58Speaker 1: him a star. He's killed many people. He was very
- 9:02Speaker 1: open about his life, very open about the war back
- 9:05Speaker 1: and forth, how he killed people. And and obviously he's
- 9:09Speaker 1: out of he got out of trouble or maybe I'm
- 9:12Speaker 1: sure he did time. I don't. I don't even know.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Really he was at He was always informant.
- 9:17Speaker 2: You know, when you when you when a rat goes
- 9:20Speaker 2: to jail, he doesn't go where a regular prisoner goes.
- 9:24Speaker 2: He goes so like a country club. I mean, I
- 9:27Speaker 2: heard stories the cells had rugs in their in the cell,
- 9:32Speaker 2: they order food from the street. They have free phone
- 9:36Speaker 2: right in their cell, access to free phone. They have
- 9:39Speaker 2: them conjugal visits and it's my law. It's supposed to
- 9:43Speaker 2: be your wife. They have girlfriends. I mean, it's it's
- 9:48Speaker 2: if you do win sect time. It's a whole different
- 9:51Speaker 2: the places I were killing fields.
- 9:54Speaker 1: But Joey Melino was one of the guys that this
- 9:58Speaker 1: was focused around. Every episode said he was never arrested
- 10:01Speaker 1: for any mafia crime, but he did do a lot
- 10:04Speaker 1: of time in jail. Joey, who you know very well,
- 10:09Speaker 1: and I actually got to meet him and talk to
- 10:11Speaker 1: him a few times, very open, very open, and we
- 10:15Speaker 1: talked pretty openly, him and I. Well, but these cheese
- 10:19Speaker 1: steak places are doing great. Oh yeah, it's a cheesesteak place,
- 10:22Speaker 1: and you can't get in. You cannot get in.
- 10:24Speaker 2: It's about Joey's skinny Joey's she steaks on Broad Street,
- 10:28Speaker 2: South broad Street, right off of Packard Avenue, and which
- 10:33Speaker 2: good about that place? It's two blocks away from all
- 10:36Speaker 2: the major sports arenas. When the Eagles play, the Phillies play,
- 10:41Speaker 2: the Flyers play, the Sixers play. I mean, these they
- 10:45Speaker 2: hold tens of thousands of people and a lot of
- 10:48Speaker 2: people coming from South Philly downtown area. They walk right
- 10:52Speaker 2: past the cheese steak and they get a cheese steak
- 10:55Speaker 2: and they can get beer now wow. And they get
- 10:58Speaker 2: beer and they goe a beer, got.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Beer now they have a beer a beer license, right, Wow.
- 11:04Speaker 1: They're killing it.
- 11:05Speaker 2: You buy beer theirs a few dollars, but if you
- 11:07Speaker 2: go buy a beer in one of them the stadiums,
- 11:09Speaker 2: it could be twenty bucks.
- 11:10Speaker 1: It's unbelievable. It's unbelievable what it is. So we're gonna
- 11:13Speaker 1: talk about it a couple of different subjects here, one
- 11:16Speaker 1: of which I have to be blunt. I am shocked.
- 11:19Speaker 1: I know there was. There was protesters there yesterday when
- 11:22Speaker 1: this was passed so New York they the gaming facilities
- 11:27Speaker 1: of Board said it carefully reviewed each bid. They kept
- 11:31Speaker 1: on turning down casinos, they turned down the wind they
- 11:33Speaker 1: turned down well, they granted free licenses yesterday. It's almost
- 11:38Speaker 1: this kind of shocks me. There's a five person unpaid
- 11:43Speaker 1: New York Gaming Board was tasked with the siding where
- 11:47Speaker 1: these licenses will go. Three licenses have passed, one to
- 11:52Speaker 1: Steve Cohen, the owner of the New York Mets. He's
- 11:55Speaker 1: gonna put a casino right in the old Chase Stadium
- 11:58Speaker 1: parking lot which is now it's called City Field, which
- 12:01Speaker 1: I went to a lot when I was a kid.
- 12:03Speaker 1: When I was a kid, everyone in the house was
- 12:05Speaker 1: was a Yankee fan, and my uncle had the season
- 12:09Speaker 1: tickets for the Mets, so h and he was friends.
- 12:11Speaker 1: I think I told in this spot before I told
- 12:13Speaker 1: you guys. He was friends with Dave King and the
- 12:15Speaker 1: right fielder and I used to go all the time.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I got to meet some of the players there. It
- 12:20Speaker 1: was really really cool, and I just can't believe, you know.
- 12:26Speaker 1: I like to think that I'm a I'm kind of
- 12:28Speaker 1: a man of the people because I know what it
- 12:29Speaker 1: is to gamble. I think this is gonna hurt. I'll
- 12:32Speaker 1: be the first person to say this. Probably I was
- 12:35Speaker 1: probably against this. I think it's gonna hurt so many people.
- 12:38Speaker 1: I know it's gonna bring plenty of jobs. You know,
- 12:40Speaker 1: they always say it's going to bring billions of dollars
- 12:43Speaker 1: in tax dollar and be okay, and plenty of jobs.
- 12:46Speaker 1: What about the families that it's gonna hurt. I mean,
- 12:48Speaker 1: three casinos in New York. I be blunt me. I'm
- 12:54Speaker 1: actually absolutely shocked. Now, listen, you got a casino over there.
- 12:59Speaker 1: You can jog from the cheese take place to the casino.
- 13:01Speaker 2: We got we got in South Philly. We have uh
- 13:06Speaker 2: two casinos in Philly. The city of Philly has two
- 13:10Speaker 2: casinos Outside of Philly. I think they have another three uh.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Right in South Philly.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Right, well, got live right in South Philly. We have
- 13:19Speaker 2: rivers rivers North Philly, and then you have all the outskirts.
- 13:24Speaker 2: You got three, three or four casinos?
- 13:26Speaker 1: George, what has it done to like, I gotta be
- 13:28Speaker 1: blunt those people that are living in Philly that they'll
- 13:32Speaker 1: struggle in month to month. I just it has to
- 13:35Speaker 1: hurt the community. I don't mean to sound so negative.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Maybe it does raise money for certain things, and it's
- 13:41Speaker 1: people are gonna gamble anyway, right, But so what's your opinion?
- 13:45Speaker 1: I don't have no idea what your opinion is.
- 13:46Speaker 2: I think you know gambling?
- 13:48Speaker 3: Uh.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Well, takeaway if they open up three casinos in New
- 13:53Speaker 2: York City, naturally is, why should you get in your
- 13:56Speaker 2: car if you're a New Yorker, why should you get
- 13:58Speaker 2: in your car and drive home with three hours Atlantic city?
- 14:00Speaker 2: That's right when you can gamble right there. So I
- 14:03Speaker 2: believe they're going to lose business that way.
- 14:05Speaker 1: But they had a heart South Philly had a hurt
- 14:07Speaker 1: Atlantic City.
- 14:07Speaker 2: I think absolutely. Yeah. People don't listen. People don't want
- 14:11Speaker 2: to well, they don't want to wait to lose their money,
- 14:15Speaker 2: you know, they want to lose as fast as they can.
- 14:18Speaker 2: And uh, this is what these casinos do. I heard.
- 14:24Speaker 2: I heard stories that, uh, kids were coming home from
- 14:31Speaker 2: school for dinner and their mothers, their mother's at the
- 14:33Speaker 2: casino gambling there, not cooking. I heard stories like that.
- 14:38Speaker 1: And you're in that environment, you're gonna gamble when you
- 14:40Speaker 1: get older. I know me, My mother and father both gambled.
- 14:43Speaker 1: My mother was an old school Italian, so her whole
- 14:46Speaker 1: family in the Bronx, they all gambled, you know, and
- 14:49Speaker 1: it hurt everyone in the end. It was fun, but
- 14:51Speaker 1: everyone no one has money today.
- 14:52Speaker 2: You know, a lot of these restaurant people work in restaurants,
- 14:55Speaker 2: which I know, I'm well known in the restaurants seen
- 14:58Speaker 2: in Philly and New York. You know, they get done
- 15:01Speaker 2: work and then we go sometimes I'm there, you go
- 15:04Speaker 2: to a lesser high end restaurant, You go to a
- 15:07Speaker 2: lesser place, hang around, listen to music, get a drink.
- 15:11Speaker 2: And when I'm noticing the last year, all these restaurant workers,
- 15:15Speaker 2: waitresses and the bartenders, they're all on their phone gambling.
- 15:19Speaker 1: There you go on their phone gambling on the apps.
- 15:22Speaker 1: I never that the apps.
- 15:25Speaker 2: I'm talking about and jumping up and down. I mean,
- 15:32Speaker 2: one one kid friend of mine, just before you went
- 15:37Speaker 2: through two beers. He won seventy some hundred. When I
- 15:41Speaker 2: seen him a couple of days later he lost triple
- 15:44Speaker 2: that amount.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Oh my god, that this is a serfic example of
- 15:47Speaker 1: what I mean.
- 15:48Speaker 2: This is what they're doing. I mean these phone apps.
- 15:50Speaker 1: And I never thought about the apps, the apps. And
- 15:52Speaker 1: you took me to a good place to eat when
- 15:54Speaker 1: I was down there. We went to the saloon.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Saloon over there.
- 15:58Speaker 1: It's like walking into the sixties or something. The place
- 16:01Speaker 1: is unbelievable. The upstairs area I was really impressed with. Georgia.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Went to the bar upstairs, the Big Eagle, all the
- 16:07Speaker 1: memorabilia that he has, and uh, you took me over
- 16:10Speaker 1: to the photo of Abe Link.
- 16:12Speaker 2: It was an Abe Link, a pitcher of a million
- 16:13Speaker 2: dollar original.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Photo he's gotten in short for a million dollars hanging
- 16:16Speaker 1: on the wall. Hanging on the wall original photo of
- 16:18Speaker 1: Abe Lincoln. And by the way, it's nice to see
- 16:21Speaker 1: all the history. The food was great. The food was
- 16:24Speaker 1: great at the saloon. That's yet that your friend owns this.
- 16:26Speaker 2: My did good buddy Richie. He's been there fifty nine
- 16:29Speaker 2: years November fifty nine years.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Wow, And uh wow, what's the location, George, What's.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Right down the seventh and Fincher Order, Seventh and Fishing
- 16:38Speaker 2: in Bellavista, which is a part of South Philly.
- 16:40Speaker 1: But and there was a little cafe next door you
- 16:43Speaker 1: owned too.
- 16:44Speaker 2: I had a Fincher Order cafe. Anybody, anybody in Anybody's
- 16:47Speaker 2: anybody in Philly has been at the salon.
- 16:51Speaker 1: No for sure, for sure. So anyway, this is going
- 16:55Speaker 1: back to this thing. Valley's in Bronx, the Metropolitan Park
- 16:58Speaker 1: which is going to be in the Shase Stadium, the
- 17:01Speaker 1: old parking lot there, and Resorts World. They're the ones
- 17:04Speaker 1: that are that are getting this gaming license. I was
- 17:07Speaker 1: just pretty surprised. I just thought that wasn't gonna happen. So, George,
- 17:12Speaker 1: there's this new tax that everyone including myself, as a
- 17:17Speaker 1: little more concerned about this year twenty twenty six, especially
- 17:21Speaker 1: professional poker players. So your deductions for gambling losses against
- 17:25Speaker 1: your wins are gonna be reduced next year. So in
- 17:30Speaker 1: other words, yet's say you lose one hundred thousand in
- 17:32Speaker 1: poker tournaments, Well you can only write off ninety thousand.
- 17:35Speaker 1: You're still gonna pay tax on the ten thousand. This
- 17:38Speaker 1: was this was snuck in on this one big, beautiful bill,
- 17:42Speaker 1: and it really upsets everybody that's that gambles. This couldn't
- 17:46Speaker 1: even hurt a larger player that socially has fun and
- 17:50Speaker 1: he comes into casino and you know, he hits a
- 17:53Speaker 1: couple of jackpass throughout the year on slot machines, and
- 17:55Speaker 1: he goes to write it off, and now he can't
- 17:58Speaker 1: write off He can only write off ninety percent. So
- 18:00Speaker 1: we have a US Rep. Dina Titis. She's introduced this
- 18:04Speaker 1: Fair Bet Act bill, but I don't know how much success.
- 18:07Speaker 1: She has not been successful right now to get this overturned.
- 18:10Speaker 1: It's only a month month left here to get this
- 18:13Speaker 1: what's going to go into effect. This is unbelievable.
- 18:15Speaker 2: They try to raise my opinion, and I could be wrong.
- 18:19Speaker 2: They when they start taxing, taxing, taxing, even with the
- 18:23Speaker 2: cannabis industry, people go back to the black market. Now,
- 18:28Speaker 2: the black market in the cannabis industry in California has
- 18:31Speaker 2: surpassed legal sales five years running, has surpassed legal sales.
- 18:36Speaker 2: And now it's becoming a domino effect in these states
- 18:39Speaker 2: where if you want, why you want to walk in
- 18:41Speaker 2: the dispensary in Nevada and pay three hundred and something
- 18:45Speaker 2: dollars for announcer weed where you can buy it on
- 18:48Speaker 2: the street shame quality for one hundred and fifty, right,
- 18:51Speaker 2: So that's just going to be happening with the gambling.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Why go and go through all this red tape and
- 18:57Speaker 2: pay all these taxes where you can go to anaborhood
- 19:00Speaker 2: plays and gamble. Yeah, you go to your bookmaker, you
- 19:04Speaker 2: go to your speakeasy in which they have I could
- 19:07Speaker 2: take you to speakas in Philadelphia. Think you're in a
- 19:10Speaker 2: mini casino. Wow, And that's where it's going to go
- 19:13Speaker 2: my opinion. Now, you want to keep taxing, tax and taxing.
- 19:16Speaker 2: You want to keep people red tape foot on that
- 19:20Speaker 2: forms they're going to go through the street.
- 19:22Speaker 1: George, what I was surprised was I knew some old
- 19:24Speaker 1: school bms in Pennsylvania, and I knew some old school
- 19:30Speaker 1: bookmakers by the way, and they're out of business. And
- 19:34Speaker 1: I was shocked, and I was like, what do you
- 19:35Speaker 1: mean you're out of business? You have to big instead.
- 19:38Speaker 1: The books put me out of business, said, what do
- 19:40Speaker 1: you mean the books? I cannot believe that there's two
- 19:43Speaker 1: guys I know that haven't booked a Betton over six years.
- 19:46Speaker 1: He said, yeah. When that bill was reversed that people
- 19:49Speaker 1: went to the DraftKings, the Fanduls, the big sports books,
- 19:52Speaker 1: and they both don't book anymore. I cannot believe how
- 19:56Speaker 1: much it's hurt the bookmakers. I thought the opposite. I
- 19:58Speaker 1: thought it was going to be big for the book
- 20:00Speaker 1: makers down the line. It actually hurt the book makers.
- 20:04Speaker 2: I'm opening up a place in Philly soon where I'm
- 20:06Speaker 2: going to have I'm going to have gambling in it.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Oh okay, have psyche of gambling, and we're going to
- 20:12Speaker 2: try to work some kind of agreement with the city.
- 20:15Speaker 2: But you know, people, I believe people don't mind spending
- 20:20Speaker 2: their money, is when you abuse the spending of it,
- 20:24Speaker 2: you know, Like I said, the cannabis industry, I'm in
- 20:26Speaker 2: it up to my eyebawls. But I'm a little worried
- 20:29Speaker 2: because these governors every time they need money, they want
- 20:32Speaker 2: to tax the cannabis industry. Wow, a lot of the
- 20:35Speaker 2: big players that've been in Nevada, right here in the
- 20:37Speaker 2: city for over ten years, their businesses are up for
- 20:40Speaker 2: sale because they see it coming.
- 20:42Speaker 1: I see places here up for sale, so I do
- 20:46Speaker 1: see that. So the tax is that high here? George,
- 20:49Speaker 1: what are you doing with the Mob Museum here? I
- 20:51Speaker 1: went and seen you give give a show at the
- 20:53Speaker 1: Mob Museum.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Well, I do shows, ladies in gentlemen, I'm book year round.
- 20:57Speaker 2: I do shows. I just stand up. I'm a stand
- 21:00Speaker 2: up storyteller. I'm affiliated with the Mob Museum for a
- 21:05Speaker 2: few years now. That's the only Mob museum existing in
- 21:09Speaker 2: the world, and they do They do millions and millions
- 21:13Speaker 2: of dollars. So matter of fact, I got a meeting today.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Hopefully I'm trying to go on tour sponsored by them,
- 21:21Speaker 2: the Mob Museum tour with my shows. So Mob cells
- 21:26Speaker 2: us listening it.
- 21:27Speaker 1: This proves it. This show on Netflix, the three shows,
- 21:31Speaker 1: the Get Gottie, what was the other one? Their City,
- 21:34Speaker 1: Fierce City, both great. It showed you the FBI talking
- 21:37Speaker 1: about how they actually bugged phones and the homes and
- 21:40Speaker 1: the guys actually went on a film to talk about it.
- 21:43Speaker 1: And then this latest one, the mob Birth the phild
- 21:45Speaker 1: up first of the month, that was so good. I
- 21:47Speaker 1: learned things I did not know that Joey wasn't involved
- 21:50Speaker 1: in it. But on Joey's podcast he's talking about things
- 21:53Speaker 1: that were maybe even wrong and making them right and
- 21:56Speaker 1: talking about them, which is which is good. He has
- 22:00Speaker 1: a great podcast. Eventually he's got to have you on there.
- 22:03Speaker 1: I'm sure. As a matter of fact, I guess where
- 22:05Speaker 1: I'm going in a week or so. I'm going to
- 22:08Speaker 1: Martin Ronald's and uh in Fort Lauderfield. That's where I'm going.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I actually, cousin, I actually got a reservation, went out.
- 22:13Speaker 1: You I can't believe it. That's why I believe no.
- 22:15Speaker 1: I went on. I went on. You know the people
- 22:17Speaker 1: know by the way, it's one of the best restaurants.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Let me let me tell you something. The guys I
- 22:21Speaker 1: went with last time, they got it. They got in.
- 22:24Speaker 1: But you know, Paul, Paul got any. He texts Steve,
- 22:27Speaker 1: that's your nephew, my cousin, that's your cousin. He texted
- 22:31Speaker 1: him and got us in and the guys we went with.
- 22:35Speaker 1: I go to order because I've never been there before.
- 22:37Speaker 1: But I've been to some of Steve's other restaurants. He
- 22:39Speaker 1: had here in Harris, in Atlantic City, at Paris. Here
- 22:42Speaker 1: they're not there in the hard Rock. I've been to
- 22:43Speaker 1: three different ones, and I never and never got to
- 22:46Speaker 1: meet Steve. Finally I did. But so now I go
- 22:50Speaker 1: to order. I don't even know who was with us
- 22:52Speaker 1: at dinner. This guy grabbed my arm. No, no, no, no,
- 22:54Speaker 1: he don't want that. He wants this distant He changed
- 22:56Speaker 1: my whole meal. This guy, I don't know who he was.
- 22:58Speaker 1: He goes, he wants chicken watarron. It was. He was
- 23:00Speaker 1: spot on correct. The guy I still don't know his name.
- 23:04Speaker 1: That guy next to me, all right, well that's just
- 23:08Speaker 1: a good guy, that's all I say. Guy next to
- 23:09Speaker 1: me grab my arm. He said, no, no, no, he
- 23:11Speaker 1: don't want that. I just met him. He goes, he
- 23:15Speaker 1: ordered for me, and it was absolutely fantastic. So I
- 23:17Speaker 1: look forward to going there.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Well he's there. He's there going on thirty three years.
- 23:22Speaker 1: At that location, hard to get in.
- 23:24Speaker 2: He had another place in Philly called Macaroni's that he
- 23:28Speaker 2: sold the two twin brothers. Real good guys. They've been
- 23:31Speaker 2: existing with his legacy for thirty something years. And also
- 23:35Speaker 2: he just came out to the public market. He just
- 23:38Speaker 2: released meat bulls and sagas in the supermarket. Oh wow,
- 23:44Speaker 2: so mar Toronto's meatballing sales.
- 23:46Speaker 1: You know, it's not just because of the history of him.
- 23:48Speaker 1: The food's great. The food is absolutely great there.
- 23:52Speaker 2: So I tell you, I tell you I eat a
- 23:54Speaker 2: lot of places. I travel a lot, and believe me,
- 23:57Speaker 2: the places I really like. I had them on money.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Then. Now, now that is that? Is that his mother's
- 24:03Speaker 1: recipes or something for this.
- 24:05Speaker 2: When he was a little boy, I'm older than him.
- 24:07Speaker 2: I'm nine years older than him. When he was a
- 24:09Speaker 2: little boy, he used to come for the weekend and
- 24:13Speaker 2: my grandmother's my my father's mother, which is his dad's mom.
- 24:19Speaker 2: They lived around the corner, and my grandfather was to
- 24:24Speaker 2: cook on the weekend because he worked on the week
- 24:28Speaker 2: and actually my grandmother and my aunts would cook, but
- 24:31Speaker 2: on the weekend the kitchen was my grandfather and Stephen
- 24:34Speaker 2: was a little boy, eight or nine years old. He
- 24:37Speaker 2: would come for the weekend and he take his own
- 24:41Speaker 2: pails and he hanged with my grandfather and my grandfather
- 24:45Speaker 2: took him to the time market. It's the movie Rocky
- 24:48Speaker 2: the First Rockey when he running down the tame market.
- 24:52Speaker 2: My grandfather used to take him Saturday and Sunday morning,
- 24:55Speaker 2: rarely start cooking the food for Saturday and Sunday. And
- 25:00Speaker 2: he taught him. And he's a little boy up until
- 25:03Speaker 2: like he was twelve thirteen years old. And that's why
- 25:08Speaker 2: you can go to the best culinary schools in the world.
- 25:13Speaker 2: But if you don't have the taste bud, if you
- 25:15Speaker 2: don't have what a shit taste like, you're never going
- 25:18Speaker 2: to be a great chef. And my cousin as a
- 25:21Speaker 2: little boy, he learned to taste bud. That's the most
- 25:25Speaker 2: important thing, how it shit tastes.
- 25:28Speaker 1: And he just basically at that young age, learned how
- 25:32Speaker 1: to cook from real Italians. That's your grandmother, my grandfather,
- 25:37Speaker 1: and your grandfather was the cook.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Was on the weekend, he was the cook. And that's
- 25:41Speaker 2: that little boy would stay with my grandfather. That was
- 25:44Speaker 2: such a cute thing because the little boy be on
- 25:47Speaker 2: a chair right stand there on a chair and n
- 25:49Speaker 2: my grandfather be there to stove wow. And then when
- 25:52Speaker 2: he would leave Sunday night because he would have to
- 25:54Speaker 2: go to school Monday morning. He would take his gravy
- 25:59Speaker 2: for the week. He take his meat, bulls take hisside
- 26:02Speaker 2: is this? And I used to teasing because I was
- 26:05Speaker 2: older and I'm on the street. I'm on a teenager
- 26:08Speaker 2: and I'm chasing girls. I'm so smoking weed and having
- 26:12Speaker 2: ICs to come. Go go out of the pork wool bark,
- 26:15Speaker 2: go go play ball, go do something, get out of
- 26:17Speaker 2: the kitchen. And my grandfather, you say, shat does he eat? Now?
- 26:20Speaker 2: Shut up? Shat does heat? Leave him alone? Sat does heat? Now?
- 26:24Speaker 2: You want? I'm teasing him? And now he went on
- 26:26Speaker 2: there's a multi millionaire. Dang god, Yeah there's a little boy.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Oh it's great. Now I'm looking forward to you know,
- 26:32Speaker 1: right across the street from that on the side street.
- 26:35Speaker 1: The ticket's right on Ocean River. There's a great Greek
- 26:37Speaker 1: restaurant too full Greek isles. Have ever been down the corner?
- 26:40Speaker 1: That's it's so good like mom and pop Greek food.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Oh my god, there's two spots. I'm I'm looking forward to. Go. Guys,
- 26:47Speaker 1: we're gonna do a weekly Wager Wire segment. So this
- 26:50Speaker 1: is it's amazing that this kid Drake May Drake May
- 26:54Speaker 1: m VP over on wager Wire, wager wire dot com,
- 26:58Speaker 1: windgwar app Drake May MVP. He bet five hundred dollars
- 27:02Speaker 1: to win fifteen thousand, thirty to one shot. The current
- 27:06Speaker 1: odds he's a favorite. He's the odds on favorite minus
- 27:08Speaker 1: one thirty five. So the current bet value on this
- 27:11Speaker 1: is eighty nine hundred and four dollars. It's eighty four
- 27:16Speaker 1: hundred dollars profit. However, I was just text from Matt,
- 27:22Speaker 1: one of the guys at wager Warre. He texted me
- 27:24Speaker 1: and said, one of the inns, the one of the
- 27:26Speaker 1: one of the ound, and offer today one of wager
- 27:28Speaker 1: wires power users for looking for a potential sales somewhere
- 27:32Speaker 1: between five and six kvy may settle at and you
- 27:35Speaker 1: know for six thousand dollars it's worth nine thousand, so
- 27:39Speaker 1: it's fifty. I'll tell you if you can get it
- 27:41Speaker 1: for five thousand, that's a steal. I would like to
- 27:44Speaker 1: be part of that. On Matt, by the way, I'll
- 27:46Speaker 1: be happy to put up twenty five hundred because this
- 27:48Speaker 1: kid's probably gonna be the MVP. This New England Patriots
- 27:52Speaker 1: have just been rolling and he's part of it. I
- 27:55Speaker 1: can't even believe you do you follow the NFL, George,
- 27:58Speaker 1: I don't know if you follow.
- 28:00Speaker 2: I'm not a fanatic a little bit, you know.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Not well, I mean, if you look at the NFL standings,
- 28:05Speaker 1: it's not the teams that you would think are on
- 28:09Speaker 1: top of the chart. You think the Lions and the Chiefs,
- 28:13Speaker 1: and no, the Patriots are eleven and two. The Patriots,
- 28:16Speaker 1: like this was one of the worst teams the last
- 28:19Speaker 1: couple of years, eleven and two. And then you have,
- 28:22Speaker 1: of course our buddy John Orlando, his his Broncos are
- 28:25Speaker 1: ten and two. The Bears are nine and three. I
- 28:30Speaker 1: am shocked. How can the Bears beat the Eagles? That
- 28:33Speaker 1: would be a did were I mean, were you home
- 28:35Speaker 1: or people talking about this? How much of a discussing
- 28:38Speaker 1: they think.
- 28:39Speaker 2: The word around Philly is there's locker room trouble.
- 28:42Speaker 1: Oh really, that's the.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Word around Philly. Yeah, No, it's trouble in the locker rooms. No,
- 28:47Speaker 2: it's it's football players.
- 28:48Speaker 1: It's unbelievable that that the Eagles. I thought, with the
- 28:52Speaker 1: Eagles with the best team in football, the Chiefs started losing.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Lions by the way, they only pick them to make
- 28:57Speaker 1: their playoffs teams this year. Georgie, you never were into sports?
- 29:00Speaker 1: How about the side and in the can? Was that
- 29:02Speaker 1: a big thing that guys?
- 29:04Speaker 2: I didn't This what you got to understand. I was
- 29:07Speaker 2: raising the Mob family. Was born in the Mob family,
- 29:12Speaker 2: and there was always my father controlled in my neighborhood.
- 29:16Speaker 2: He controlled over the number business. Number business was very lucrative,
- 29:20Speaker 2: very big street street. Yeah, the street them the lottery,
- 29:23Speaker 2: you know.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Yeah, people don't know. Tell them what that is.
- 29:26Speaker 2: That were your better number? It's a three digit number.
- 29:29Speaker 2: You better two digit, you better parlay you better three
- 29:32Speaker 2: digit number. And the number came out. The last number
- 29:36Speaker 2: came out at five o'clock. The first number came out
- 29:38Speaker 2: at three, and then four, then five andrew the number.
- 29:42Speaker 2: How do you know if they came from the racetrack
- 29:44Speaker 2: and our area came from Garden.
- 29:45Speaker 1: State, Gordon Street Park and Cherry Hill, Right, So that
- 29:49Speaker 1: was the attendance or something? Was that what it was
- 29:51Speaker 1: of the handle?
- 29:52Speaker 2: Oh no, they did it off of the maybe the
- 29:57Speaker 2: payout the payout out of the horse, say one anyway, Okay,
- 30:03Speaker 2: So when you're raised around that, uh, it was I
- 30:07Speaker 2: seemed like on the weekend, just from my father and
- 30:11Speaker 2: his mob associates. They took in a million dollars maybe more. Wow,
- 30:17Speaker 2: but that doesn't mean you win. If you lose Tuesday,
- 30:20Speaker 2: you got to give the million plus back. And with
- 30:22Speaker 2: the numbers, so we would. My father was always adamant
- 30:26Speaker 2: and having the family around the dinner table, me and
- 30:29Speaker 2: my three sisters and my mother. He's very adamant. And
- 30:32Speaker 2: when he was in a good mood, it was a
- 30:34Speaker 2: good dinner. But then when he would get a hit
- 30:38Speaker 2: with a bad number, you know personal, yeah, and then
- 30:43Speaker 2: this the dinner was off. So it made me grow
- 30:47Speaker 2: up with I just didn't like gamblers, right, I just
- 30:50Speaker 2: didn't like gambler.
- 30:50Speaker 1: So you didn't. You didn't. You didn't really bet, And
- 30:52Speaker 1: I know you still don't better, you know I still don't.
- 30:54Speaker 2: I still I still don't bet. I never was a gambler.
- 30:58Speaker 2: See the other side of it, where you know, my
- 31:00Speaker 2: mother being a nice move my sill of a sudden,
- 31:03Speaker 2: my father come home in a bad move, and it
- 31:05Speaker 2: destroyed it.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Not that he was abusive, right, he's just you know
- 31:09Speaker 1: that determined the day if he won or lost, determined that.
- 31:13Speaker 2: I just never liked the gambler, never liked it.
- 31:15Speaker 1: And your dad was away a long time too.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Did eighteen years on the murder case. He had the
- 31:21Speaker 2: longest murder trial ever in the history of Philly, six
- 31:23Speaker 2: months murder trial, seventeen miss trials called. They completely framed him.
- 31:29Speaker 2: And if you if anybody else, they've even been out
- 31:31Speaker 2: of jail in two years. The appeal process, he did
- 31:34Speaker 2: eighteen years because of his last name. A last name,
- 31:38Speaker 2: that's what I want to do. And it's still going
- 31:40Speaker 2: on today. You could see just turn on the news.
- 31:44Speaker 2: They're fighting. They're fighting in Washington and uh in politics,
- 31:48Speaker 2: they're fighting in state politics, they're fighting in city politics.
- 31:52Speaker 2: I mean, it's just it's just never ending, just never ending.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Your your godfather was Angelo Bruno.
- 31:59Speaker 2: Yeah, Joel Bruno was my godfud. He was the boss
- 32:02Speaker 2: for twenty two years. He taught me an awful lot
- 32:05Speaker 2: of the proper philosophies about the street. And he was
- 32:09Speaker 2: killed the count of gambling. The war started over Atlantic
- 32:13Speaker 2: City and a lot of guys.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Did he live right rite in the neighborhood.
- 32:18Speaker 2: He lived out tenthis Schneydersh not too far from where
- 32:24Speaker 2: I lived.
- 32:24Speaker 1: He was killed right outside his house, wasn't he.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Yeah? He killed outside his house.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, that's and then that that twenty two years
- 32:31Speaker 1: like he, like George said, that started everything. When he died,
- 32:35Speaker 1: there was total chaos. How many bosses they went through?
- 32:38Speaker 1: How many?
- 32:39Speaker 2: Well, people don't know a lot of My godfather controlled
- 32:42Speaker 2: more territory than any mild boss at that time. He
- 32:46Speaker 2: actually controlled from Newark all through Jersey, North Jersey, No Newark,
- 32:53Speaker 2: all through Jersey. I didn't know that Atlantic City Philly.
- 32:57Speaker 1: You knew Atlantic City, boring, Atlantic.
- 32:59Speaker 2: City, Philly, Pittsburgh all the way to Bullymore.
- 33:03Speaker 1: Sorge, is it true that Meyer Lansky had something to
- 33:06Speaker 1: do with resorts in Atlantic City. I read that somewhere.
- 33:10Speaker 1: I was like, you gotta be Kidney.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Probably back in the day Meyer. I knew Meyer. I
- 33:13Speaker 2: used to see Meyer back in the seventh I used
- 33:15Speaker 2: to see Meyer about seventy seven, seven or eight. Yeah. Well,
- 33:22Speaker 2: he his crew, his old Jewish guys. They were all gangsters.
- 33:26Speaker 2: He looked like a bunch of little old guys, but
- 33:28Speaker 2: they were gangsters. They all hung out in the Eden
- 33:31Speaker 2: Rock in Miami, Oh wow, eating rock and uh. I
- 33:37Speaker 2: used to go now and then to go see them.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Joe Zanka was one of his guys.
- 33:43Speaker 1: He's actually been with Meyer multiple times.
- 33:46Speaker 2: Meyer one time one time, okay, he owns he had
- 33:49Speaker 2: interest in a Forge restaurant, which was very prominent back
- 33:54Speaker 2: in Miami, to Forge, and he had a nephew or
- 34:00Speaker 2: a great nephew that worked there. There was a kid,
- 34:04Speaker 2: I'm in my twenties. He was a kid. He got
- 34:08Speaker 2: on he when something happened from shooting and they shot
- 34:11Speaker 2: the kid or something shouted out of stupidity, and the
- 34:16Speaker 2: next thing I know, I get called down to the
- 34:18Speaker 2: Eating Rock and Myer's there. Meers says, I need I
- 34:23Speaker 2: might want you to do me a favor. H I
- 34:27Speaker 2: don't know what I'm looking do everything right now? Are
- 34:30Speaker 2: you available to do me a favor? I said, of course,
- 34:33Speaker 2: I'm available. But he never I think he got strained
- 34:37Speaker 2: out where you never call him out? What kind of favorite?
- 34:41Speaker 2: Kind of favorite? One of all those? I could tell you.
- 34:43Speaker 2: There's a lot of water around Miami, right.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Right, right, Okay, Well, we appreciate George on here. He's
- 34:51Speaker 1: going down to today to work out something with the
- 34:54Speaker 1: MO Museum and stuff, and it's always great to have
- 34:56Speaker 1: him on. And we'll see you back next week with
- 34:58Speaker 1: johnal Landol on wiscread.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Always your pleasure to be It is my second or
- 35:02Speaker 2: third show. Yeah, no more than that. We have out
- 35:05Speaker 2: a filming. I film a lot around the country, but
- 35:08Speaker 2: when I do a show with you, it just makes
- 35:10Speaker 2: me feel good. I got up this morning dying to
- 35:12Speaker 2: do the show.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Thank you, appreciate that. Thank you, George, Thank you. All right, guys,
- 35:17Speaker 1: we'll see next Hey Randy McKay, what's going on, buddy?
- 35:21Speaker 4: You're in Jackpot, Nevada.
- 35:24Speaker 3: I am your little casino trip here up to northern Nevada.
- 35:28Speaker 3: You give me a pretty good offer, and I gotta
- 35:30Speaker 3: represent the master's head and getting a little snow up here.
- 35:35Speaker 4: Oh nice, nice nice.
- 35:38Speaker 1: We're giving some units back in the NFL, holding on
- 35:41Speaker 1: to a slight win for the year, and so the
- 35:46Speaker 1: fans are starting to get honest a little bit. I
- 35:48Speaker 1: have to put a couple of guys in check, but
- 35:52Speaker 1: it's okay, still still showing a small profit.
- 35:55Speaker 4: NFL.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Man, see what's going on the carnage everywhere. What do
- 35:59Speaker 1: you got for this?
- 36:01Speaker 3: I got three uh, I think outright dogs, actually three underdogs.
- 36:05Speaker 3: I think I'll have a decent shot to win.
- 36:07Speaker 4: So start us out.
- 36:10Speaker 3: Thursday night football game in the week. I think a
- 36:13Speaker 3: good match up here, playoff you know style match up here.
- 36:17Speaker 3: We got the six and five and one Dallas versus
- 36:21Speaker 3: the seven to five Detroit Detroit team, and I gotta
- 36:25Speaker 3: I gotta stick with these cowboys. I mean, hot team,
- 36:29Speaker 3: you know, playing great offense adjusted to the defense here
- 36:33Speaker 3: with Ibra Flus like we talked about last week, you know.
- 36:37Speaker 3: And I like this aggressiveness of Shot Schottenheimer. His dad
- 36:41Speaker 3: was a coach. His dad was very, very conservative coach.
- 36:46Speaker 3: If you remember his playoff debacles, and you know, I
- 36:49Speaker 3: had some bad breaks. There are a couple of fumbles
- 36:51Speaker 3: with the Browns, and then he had a really good
- 36:54Speaker 3: team with San Diego back in the day, but just
- 36:57Speaker 3: could never get through. This Detroit injury report is big
- 37:01Speaker 3: concern here with offensive line injuries and their best wide receiver,
- 37:05Speaker 3: Saint Brown, probably not gonna play. So I think that
- 37:09Speaker 3: favors Dallas in this matchup. I think they can pick apart,
- 37:13Speaker 3: you know, the d backs of you know, Detroit's defense
- 37:17Speaker 3: probably won't get a great pass rush, and then the
- 37:19Speaker 3: d backs are hurting the back field. So I see
- 37:22Speaker 3: a little mismatch here with a hot Dallas team. I'm
- 37:25Speaker 3: gonna jump on it, even though they're probably a little
- 37:28Speaker 3: bit public this week. I'm gonna get on that Thursday
- 37:31Speaker 3: night matchup. No rest advantage for either team. They both
- 37:34Speaker 3: played last Thanksgiving.
- 37:36Speaker 4: All right, what else you got the barrier everyone.
- 37:37Speaker 3: With another hopefully outright money line dog. Here, we'll go
- 37:44Speaker 3: to Buffalo. We're gonna take the hot Cincinnati team with
- 37:50Speaker 3: Joe Burrow back unfortunately and knock me out a survivor.
- 37:54Speaker 3: An ugly game. It was more Baltimore than knock me
- 37:57Speaker 3: out of the game. Then Joe Burrow is some really
- 38:00Speaker 3: bad turnovers, you know, unfortunate fumble at the goal and
- 38:04Speaker 3: I think pretty much turn the game. And that's a
- 38:06Speaker 3: big swing of points right there. Frustrating to be out
- 38:10Speaker 3: of that survivor and not have a shot at that
- 38:12Speaker 3: big pile of money. You know. We every year, you know, tournaments,
- 38:17Speaker 3: and we want to win that. It's all about that
- 38:19Speaker 3: big check. You know, we want a big check, you know,
- 38:22Speaker 3: So that very frustrating. The Cincinnati team very hot against
- 38:26Speaker 3: Buffalo last four meetings. They beat him outright and covered.
- 38:30Speaker 3: You know, Joe Burrow kind of owns this team and
- 38:34Speaker 3: he gets you know, his other good wide receiver back Higgins,
- 38:37Speaker 3: so he should have some success here on offense. You know,
- 38:41Speaker 3: Cincinnati doesn't have very good defense, but the Bills are
- 38:46Speaker 3: still missing a couple offensive tackles here, you know, so
- 38:50Speaker 3: I see this being a close game, could go back
- 38:53Speaker 3: and forth. Hopefully Joey Bosa doesn't plant Burrow into the
- 38:59Speaker 3: sid like he dead with Rogers last week. I think
- 39:01Speaker 3: they're still digging Aaron Rodgers on that sod last week
- 39:05Speaker 3: he took on that one. So hopefully that doesn't happen.
- 39:10Speaker 3: This should be a close, exciting game and hopefully we
- 39:12Speaker 3: get the cover of the outright victory here.
- 39:14Speaker 4: All right, what's your third dog?
- 39:16Speaker 3: All Right, We're gonna go Sunday night football and then
- 39:18Speaker 3: another big match. A lot of good matchups this week.
- 39:21Speaker 3: This is a really good week if you like to.
- 39:24Speaker 3: You know, a lot of you know, a lot of
- 39:25Speaker 3: close you know, big matchups, big teams, playoff implications and
- 39:30Speaker 3: everything else. I'm gonna go with a seven and five
- 39:34Speaker 3: Houston team against the six and six Chiefs team. You know,
- 39:38Speaker 3: this might be you know, loser out, might not make
- 39:41Speaker 3: the playoffs.
- 39:42Speaker 4: And MGM super book south Point.
- 39:47Speaker 3: Yep, that's what I got to three and a half
- 39:50Speaker 3: you know, Houston Stroud offense is improving every week, and
- 39:54Speaker 3: the injury report's gotten a lot better for this team,
- 39:57Speaker 3: you know. And then you got the number one defense
- 40:00Speaker 3: in the league here with Houston against a Casey team
- 40:03Speaker 3: that has an offensive line injuries. Mahomes is still playing
- 40:06Speaker 3: pretty well, but it's mounting up the hits on him.
- 40:11Speaker 3: I think this Kansas City Chief team has just just
- 40:14Speaker 3: played too many games the last two three years.
- 40:18Speaker 2: You know.
- 40:18Speaker 3: They just can't get no momentum going this year and
- 40:21Speaker 3: not winning those close games, you know. So you know
- 40:25Speaker 3: that Houston also had a tough playoff loss versus them
- 40:28Speaker 3: last year, so they they match up pretty well and
- 40:31Speaker 3: have confidence in this game. This could be another outright
- 40:34Speaker 3: underdog I'm predicting hopefully get all three of these outright
- 40:38Speaker 3: underdogs Houston plus three and a half.
- 40:40Speaker 1: Here we are, week fourteen. Would you ever see would
- 40:45Speaker 1: you ever think you were going to say something like this?
- 40:48Speaker 4: So just think about this.
- 40:49Speaker 1: We have, Yes, all three teams you're going against were
- 40:53Speaker 1: the favorites to win the Super Bowl.
- 40:56Speaker 4: Just think about that.
- 40:58Speaker 1: Amazing going against Kansas City Buffalo and uh, what's it
- 41:04Speaker 1: Kansasy Buffalo And then tomorrow night.
- 41:06Speaker 3: Right Detroit, Yeah, Detroit was pretty much NFC one of.
- 41:09Speaker 4: The favorites pick the win the Super Bowl.
- 41:12Speaker 1: We're going against all of them this week, predicting even
- 41:15Speaker 1: outright wins. But of course we're going we grade the
- 41:19Speaker 1: games against the spread.
- 41:20Speaker 4: Here, what a year, year parody, What a different year.
- 41:25Speaker 4: I'm interested to know.
- 41:26Speaker 1: Here you have a FCS game, which historically have done
- 41:30Speaker 1: very well. Now would you bet more on the FCS
- 41:33Speaker 1: game than you would these NFL sides?
- 41:37Speaker 3: If I could get down more, I would, yes, But
- 41:39Speaker 3: it's hard, harder to get down. You kind of got
- 41:41Speaker 3: to wait till the day of the game, and you
- 41:43Speaker 3: gotta have a lot.
- 41:44Speaker 4: I see four different spots that have lines on at least.
- 41:47Speaker 3: So and you gotta have a lot of outser's you know.
- 41:50Speaker 3: Of course, a lot of other places you can get
- 41:52Speaker 3: down on these. You know, I followed the Missouri Valley
- 41:56Speaker 3: Conference and the Big Sky pretty well. Of course, you
- 41:58Speaker 3: got the North Dakota teams, the Montana teams, and the
- 42:01Speaker 3: South Dakota teams. You know, the teams I'm real familiar with,
- 42:05Speaker 3: even though some of the kids, even even one of
- 42:07Speaker 3: the coaches from Montana State I used to coach them.
- 42:10Speaker 4: Movie easy, easy though. If the team wins, they'll say
- 42:13Speaker 4: you did something.
- 42:15Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, even the coach from Montana State. I used
- 42:18Speaker 3: to coach them in baseball in high school. So wow,
- 42:21Speaker 3: that's another story there.
- 42:23Speaker 1: What do you that Get's funny that Montana State game
- 42:26Speaker 1: move from twenty two and a half to twenty.
- 42:28Speaker 4: Nine and a half right now on that game? What's
- 42:31Speaker 4: the game you have?
- 42:33Speaker 3: I like the Montana Grizzlies from Bozeman or not from Missoula, Montana.
- 42:38Speaker 3: The South Dkota State team's got to travel all the
- 42:40Speaker 3: way there. You know, it's tough travel spot in altitude.
- 42:45Speaker 3: The South Kota State team not as strong as they've
- 42:48Speaker 3: been in the last few years. They got a new
- 42:50Speaker 3: coach this year. This Montana team, you know short number here,
- 42:54Speaker 3: I see them dominating the game in Missoula. You know,
- 42:58Speaker 3: for the grizz Bobby Hauk's been around the lad long time.
- 43:01Speaker 3: You know, the House brothers are well known in college football,
- 43:04Speaker 3: back coach at UNLV for a while. So I see
- 43:08Speaker 3: them in victory here.
- 43:10Speaker 1: Montana State. I'm sorry, Montana, I'm sorry Montana. It is
- 43:14Speaker 1: Montana minus two and a half. Minus one and a
- 43:17Speaker 1: half will grade the two and a half under three points,
- 43:20Speaker 1: so Montana over South Dakota State. All right, Randy, good deal.
- 43:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna actually bet that one myself. Like I said,
- 43:27Speaker 1: four books I see up right now. Uh so people
- 43:30Speaker 1: will be able to get that. Caesars is one and
- 43:32Speaker 1: a half I'm looking at so all right, guys, we
- 43:34Speaker 1: appreciate you tuning into Randy, and Randy's gonna have a
- 43:37Speaker 1: good week here.
- 43:39Speaker 4: We're just no more brooms, don't bring any more rooms,
- 43:43Speaker 4: definite broom.
- 43:44Speaker 3: No more brooms, and no more rinsing.
- 43:47Speaker 4: Yeah, we need that.
- 43:48Speaker 1: Keep that lucky Masters have to get us in here.
- 43:50Speaker 1: All right, Thanks, guys, appreciate it.
