- 0:20SPEAKER_00: Fürst, Fulrasker, and Orfsen continued to orbit the sun.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: Life on them lived, died, and was reborn over and over again.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: Sial, the last of the Alvaldugas, took care of rebirths.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: She received each soul at death and returned it to a new life.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: She was fascinated by how little a soul changed over time.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: She had followed several souls through countless lives in different animals, but none seemed to gain anything.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Even after thousands of lives, a soul remained much the same.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: Dup, who cared for the world's waters, claimed that this was how it was supposed to be.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: The circle of life meant life, death, and rebirth, but not necessarily change.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: Avarjan, on the other hand, disagreed.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Waruld had always changed, he argued, and even the existence of the Alvaldugas was a result of change.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: Thank you for listening to Stories from Väruld.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: In his opinion, creation had stalled.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: Fashgayout, Blomster and Röde listened to this and agreed that it would be more interesting if the inhabitants of the planets could bring about change themselves.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: If a soul could carry knowledge from one life to the next, something new might emerge.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: And so they decided to create humans.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: Together, they began to shape a figure that resembled several of their previous creations, yet was different from them all.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: It would walk upright, on two legs instead of four.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: It would have arms instead of wings, and hands capable of holding and carrying things, leaving its mouth free for speech.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: They also agreed that Fashgayout's way of bringing forth life would serve as the foundation.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: Their new creations would bear their young within their own bodies, rather than produce eggs, roots, or seeds.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: With these fundamentals settled, the three Alvaldugers were ready to begin.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: But, although they had agreed on what a human should be, each had their own ideas about what a human could become.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: Thank you for listening to Stories from Väruld.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: In the next episode, The Creation of Humans Part 2.
