- 0:06Speaker 1: At a pat from carrying each other to and Natty
- 0:09Speaker 1: to carrying each other.
- 0:10Speaker 3: On the air, there's prop Control.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Live from the Raising Caine Studio.
- 0:18Speaker 4: It's off the Bench, all right, Welcome back in now
- 1:08Speaker 4: number three of OTV.
- 1:09Speaker 5: Here live from the Raising Kine Studio.
- 1:12Speaker 6: Jake Flann, Olanda Tsa Oh here with you on this
- 1:15Speaker 6: Friday afternoon.
- 1:17Speaker 5: Matthew, you Clayton, you said you had something you wanted
- 1:22Speaker 5: to talk about.
- 1:24Speaker 7: What are you talking about?
- 1:25Speaker 6: No, don't pull a Marler's Seven Things and forget them all.
- 1:31Speaker 7: Yeah, Like in the like in the sports world, the
- 1:34Speaker 7: sports news goes in cycles, right, and there's things that
- 1:38Speaker 7: during the year are really hot topics. There's times where
- 1:42Speaker 7: some sports kind of go dormant on the news that
- 1:45Speaker 7: you're starting to hear.
- 1:47Speaker 5: Well.
- 1:49Speaker 7: I got to thinking about this morning driving in because
- 1:52Speaker 7: we're coming up on like June first being a big
- 1:55Speaker 7: deal in the NFL. Yes, you know, specifically eight Like
- 2:03Speaker 7: June first, a lot of buyouts go down, contractual obligations,
- 2:08Speaker 7: salary cap hits go down. So you're gonna see some
- 2:10Speaker 7: big trades, right, that's the big one out of out
- 2:15Speaker 7: of Philly, is he gonna get traded. They're waiting till
- 2:17Speaker 7: that June first even entertain that thought. And I'm really
- 2:22Speaker 7: concerned that people are starting to forget and will continue
- 2:26Speaker 7: to forget about Mike Rabel and Diane Ruscini. And it's
- 2:31Speaker 7: concerning to me.
- 2:32Speaker 8: This could have been the best thing that you said
- 2:35Speaker 8: from that tease, I know.
- 2:36Speaker 7: And I'm scared a little bit.
- 2:38Speaker 9: Because the smoke is totally awful.
- 2:40Speaker 7: This it is, and I am shocked by that they've
- 2:44Speaker 7: done a really good job of squashing it and paying
- 2:47Speaker 7: people whatever they're doing. People aren't talking, Like, think about
- 2:51Speaker 7: the news and how fast it was coming at us.
- 2:53Speaker 7: It started out from an innocent thing that we thought
- 2:56Speaker 7: was just them with the probably at a pool with
- 2:58Speaker 7: a probably a lot of people, they just weren't in
- 3:00Speaker 7: the picture. Then it escalated, and boy did it escalate.
- 3:04Speaker 7: And I just we just figured that the news was
- 3:06Speaker 7: going to keep coming. And there hadn't been There hadn't
- 3:10Speaker 7: been a ton of news in in the NFL recently,
- 3:13Speaker 7: but there's about to be on June first. So like,
- 3:17Speaker 7: if you're sitting on if you're listening to us around
- 3:19Speaker 7: the world, then you're sitting on some juicy goss, some
- 3:22Speaker 7: hot goss. Drop it, drop it now for us, it
- 3:25Speaker 7: needs to come out this weekend because next week they're
- 3:29Speaker 7: gonna be worried about a J.
- 3:30Speaker 8: Brown.
- 3:31Speaker 7: Now he might go to the Patriots, which is another thing.
- 3:34Speaker 7: He's got a good relationship with the Brabes. But we
- 3:38Speaker 7: talked about it after he was seen on that on
- 3:40Speaker 7: the boat with the boat with super Praggers. Diane Russini like,
- 3:45Speaker 7: I don't think you're gonna make it to Game one
- 3:48Speaker 7: as the head coach. That was my opinion. That was
- 3:50Speaker 7: my take, and I think y'all all started kind of like, yeah,
- 3:52Speaker 7: you flipped me.
- 3:53Speaker 8: Well, that was like my original I think we were
- 3:56Speaker 8: on the same page.
- 3:56Speaker 9: We flipped Taylor.
- 3:57Speaker 3: I don't remember what Jamee thought, but I'm flipping back
- 4:00Speaker 3: unless something else happened.
- 4:02Speaker 7: I mean, that's he's going to survive because the smoke
- 4:06Speaker 7: has died down.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Now.
- 4:06Speaker 7: I'm not calling for I never want to call for
- 4:08Speaker 7: anybody to get fired, but I was just saying laying
- 4:10Speaker 7: it out the way that the news was coming. It
- 4:13Speaker 7: was coming hot and heavy.
- 4:14Speaker 3: When it was getting worse and worse every time, like
- 4:15Speaker 3: once a week.
- 4:18Speaker 7: And I can promise you the news didn't stop coming
- 4:20Speaker 7: to TMZ or whoever it was coming to. It's not
- 4:23Speaker 7: like they people stop sending them things. What happened, Questions
- 4:28Speaker 7: got to be asked. Somebody you buried that, someone buried
- 4:31Speaker 7: it hard anything.
- 4:35Speaker 5: You're just waiting until June first, like the day before.
- 4:38Speaker 7: So you think they're sitting there waiting on it. But
- 4:40Speaker 7: like I think, but when you got somebody on the
- 4:43Speaker 7: ropes like that and you got a wobbled and you're
- 4:45Speaker 7: trying to take him out, you take him out. You
- 4:48Speaker 7: don't let him recover and then try to land another
- 4:51Speaker 7: haymaker later on in the round, right, I think you
- 4:54Speaker 7: go take him out if that's well, that's the goal,
- 4:59Speaker 7: or take her out anyway. I was just I just
- 5:05Speaker 7: had to get off that. I'll get that off my chest.
- 5:07Speaker 7: I'm a little bit scared because it was juicy is.
- 5:09Speaker 8: It was so juicy is And I've been thinking the
- 5:11Speaker 8: same thing, like it all just kind of stopped. But
- 5:13Speaker 8: that's just kind of how stuff happens now though, like
- 5:16Speaker 8: the move, the news moves so fast. It's a twenty
- 5:19Speaker 8: four hour news cycle, and the only reason why it
- 5:22Speaker 8: stayed relevant for so long is because whoever was doing
- 5:25Speaker 8: the drops was dropping like once a week. He did,
- 5:29Speaker 8: for sure, that's the only reason why it stayed in
- 5:31Speaker 8: it so long.
- 5:33Speaker 3: But unfortunately for them, it initially came out right at
- 5:37Speaker 3: that dead period before the draft, Like now it's it's
- 5:39Speaker 3: conference finals, You're about to have NBA finals. Jackson Dart
- 5:43Speaker 3: and abdam Carter hate each other, like it's there's a
- 5:47Speaker 3: lot more Yep and bretton check.
- 5:49Speaker 5: Like the most popular sporting event. Yeah, in the world.
- 5:52Speaker 7: Outside of America.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Like there's a lot of things that are about to happen.
- 5:56Speaker 6: So you're gonna see, like I can't wait till those
- 5:58Speaker 6: numbers come out in America American viewers, and.
- 6:00Speaker 5: I can't wait too.
- 6:02Speaker 7: Well, man, I'm gonna watch so like I said, part
- 6:06Speaker 7: of the numbers. But it's not like what I said
- 6:08Speaker 7: was true. Not gonna like it, okay, but it was
- 6:11Speaker 7: still true what I said.
- 6:12Speaker 10: Well, you said the most popular, Yeah, by the number,
- 6:15Speaker 10: it's gonna be popular, Like.
- 6:16Speaker 7: That's not by the number, like people can like spite
- 6:19Speaker 7: watch it, okay, having on, just have it on because
- 6:23Speaker 7: it never happens. There's really nothing else on.
- 6:27Speaker 6: I'm not having this argument. It's by far the most
- 6:29Speaker 6: popular sport in the world.
- 6:31Speaker 7: I don't care about the world in America, I don't
- 6:33Speaker 7: care about the world.
- 6:35Speaker 10: Wow, I care about America, and it's popular here.
- 6:39Speaker 7: I say, the most popular here. Did you just wow me,
- 6:43Speaker 7: like you don't care about America? Are you tataing this? Oh?
- 6:46Speaker 5: I said, you don't care about the world.
- 6:48Speaker 7: I care about America.
- 6:49Speaker 5: Yeah, me too.
- 6:57Speaker 6: Anyway, I care about our American soccer team.
- 7:02Speaker 7: I care about American soccer team too, just like I
- 7:06Speaker 7: care about American ping pong team, America bowling team, any
- 7:12Speaker 7: American sport.
- 7:13Speaker 5: You hear, the ping pong team is your salty.
- 7:15Speaker 7: Real salty. We're gonna get whipped by China, though probably
- 7:19Speaker 7: probably who among us because the China players get whipped
- 7:24Speaker 7: to be good.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Oh yeah, for sure. I always worry like China, Russia
- 7:29Speaker 3: countries like that, Like if if an athlete falls, I
- 7:32Speaker 3: like somebody followed them, Like are we lees they walk
- 7:36Speaker 3: behind that curtain? Like are we ever going to see the.
- 7:40Speaker 5: Man?
- 7:41Speaker 6: But so, are you predicting that something massive is going
- 7:47Speaker 6: to happen in the NFL? Are you are you thinking?
- 7:49Speaker 6: Are you just saying it's going to die down? It's done?
- 7:51Speaker 7: No, I'm saying, I'm worried that it's died down and
- 7:53Speaker 7: it's done.
- 7:54Speaker 6: Like I told you all the whole time, because it
- 7:55Speaker 6: was fun that any other organization may be.
- 8:00Speaker 5: But when the owner did what he did, yep.
- 8:03Speaker 7: And I really you know, but after But the point
- 8:06Speaker 7: of me saying that I don't think he's gonna make
- 8:08Speaker 7: it a game one was the respect factor from the team.
- 8:11Speaker 5: Yeah, but his team did back him up.
- 8:13Speaker 7: But that was before the preggers on the boat pictures happened,
- 8:17Speaker 7: and we.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Hadn't heard anything negative.
- 8:18Speaker 7: That girl was full blown pregnant with not your baby,
- 8:21Speaker 7: get off the boat. I mean that not we don't.
- 8:27Speaker 3: We don't know that.
- 8:30Speaker 7: Get off the damn boat. And so there's a respect factor,
- 8:33Speaker 7: like if you're if anybody did that in your circle,
- 8:37Speaker 7: yeah you saw the pictures, you'd be like, I'm good, bro,
- 8:40Speaker 7: you don't. You don't need to talk to me.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Do they not trade for a J Brown just to
- 8:49Speaker 3: keep Mike Rable out of the news?
- 8:52Speaker 5: Did any of us have them in our That's a
- 8:53Speaker 5: good question. Seems to win twelve games.
- 8:55Speaker 7: I don't.
- 8:56Speaker 3: I did not. I did not because of all of this.
- 8:58Speaker 3: I did I didn't because of all this.
- 9:00Speaker 7: That's a good question. Andandre Taylor just asked, do the
- 9:04Speaker 7: Patriots not trade for AJ Brown to keep Vrabel out
- 9:08Speaker 7: of the news.
- 9:10Speaker 8: That is a good question because isn't one of the
- 9:12Speaker 8: things that Diana was. She was like an insider about
- 9:16Speaker 8: that that the Patriots wanted AJ Brown, and she was
- 9:19Speaker 8: like one of the first people to start talking about.
- 9:20Speaker 5: It A Brown when he was in Tennessee with Rabes Philly.
- 9:26Speaker 8: Yes, I mean there's she was saying it again that
- 9:30Speaker 8: he that AJ Brown was maybe like that the Patriots
- 9:33Speaker 8: were interested like all the season. So I think that, like,
- 9:36Speaker 8: if you're looking at this with like a pr mind,
- 9:41Speaker 8: which I don't think that people look at anything with
- 9:44Speaker 8: pr in mind anymore. Like I think it's a lost art.
- 9:47Speaker 8: I think that you should like not trade for him,
- 9:52Speaker 8: but you also shouldn't if you're a football coach, I
- 9:55Speaker 8: understand not thinking about what the public thinks or not
- 9:59Speaker 8: wanting to you create news. So like in terms of
- 10:03Speaker 8: if I'm like Rabel and I'm thinking about my team,
- 10:06Speaker 8: I think I would make the trade. But if I'm
- 10:09Speaker 8: thinking about like the news aspect of it, I don't
- 10:11Speaker 8: want any heat on me.
- 10:13Speaker 9: No, you you do anything to stay.
- 10:16Speaker 5: I don't care.
- 10:16Speaker 7: You don't care about what people outside think, But do
- 10:18Speaker 7: you care about people inside that when you're that's the question,
- 10:21Speaker 7: what do the people inside the building think that? Honestly? Besides,
- 10:26Speaker 7: like the head decision maker, I don't care what he
- 10:28Speaker 7: did or what he does. What did the other people think?
- 10:32Speaker 3: They haven't said a lot one way or the other.
- 10:34Speaker 3: But like, seriously, like if you're sitting there thinking you're
- 10:36Speaker 3: verable and you're like, Okay, look we made the super
- 10:38Speaker 3: Bowl last year, we didn't have aj Brown. We're running
- 10:42Speaker 3: it back with most of our roster. Do we need him?
- 10:45Speaker 3: On the flip side of things, you could say, I'm
- 10:47Speaker 3: pretty sure the worst has already come out. Nobody even
- 10:50Speaker 3: cares at this point. How much worse could he get?
- 10:52Speaker 3: Let me go ahead and go get him.
- 10:54Speaker 7: Yeah, if he.
- 10:57Speaker 5: Hadn't been fired yet, y'all.
- 10:59Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying.
- 11:00Speaker 9: I don't think it's it died down.
- 11:02Speaker 7: Unless something else happens, unless something else just dropped. Which
- 11:06Speaker 7: that's what worries me, is that we're past it as
- 11:09Speaker 7: a culture.
- 11:10Speaker 9: I think we are.
- 11:12Speaker 6: That was always going to be I don't think we
- 11:14Speaker 6: should have it was just stuck with it. It was
- 11:17Speaker 6: always going to be a team decision on if he
- 11:19Speaker 6: got let go or not though, because I mean, you
- 11:23Speaker 6: know what I'm saying. But if Goodell wanted to like
- 11:25Speaker 6: step in, he would have.
- 11:26Speaker 7: Oh I know, that's not the issue. I know NFL
- 11:29Speaker 7: is not going to suspend him. I mean, it would
- 11:31Speaker 7: be as it would be.
- 11:34Speaker 5: It would be you know, they're all about the shield.
- 11:39Speaker 5: I mean how many times do you hear them come
- 11:40Speaker 5: and talk about the shield?
- 11:41Speaker 7: The shield? Hm, we can suspend him in the NFL,
- 11:46Speaker 7: which you can't fire him.
- 11:47Speaker 6: What's the term that they always conduct detrimental? They could
- 11:51Speaker 6: have They definitely could have used that. Again, like you
- 11:55Speaker 6: didn't do anything illegal, but they could have used that
- 11:59Speaker 6: that They always.
- 12:00Speaker 3: We'll think about the guys in the off season that,
- 12:03Speaker 3: like you know, had allegations against them, no criminal charges,
- 12:07Speaker 3: they've been cleared, but the NFL still suspends them. Like
- 12:09Speaker 3: the Ezekiel Elliott. They remember he had some allegations against him.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Cops looked into him, cleared him. The NFL still suspended
- 12:16Speaker 3: him for four games because they said it was conduct destrumental.
- 12:19Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, they could. They could spend it. They can't
- 12:22Speaker 7: fire him. The only reason he would get fired, is
- 12:25Speaker 7: if he lost respect inside the locker room, which.
- 12:28Speaker 8: That was your original point, that was the point.
- 12:30Speaker 7: Yeah, I felt that that was coming fast because I
- 12:33Speaker 7: would have lost all respect after seeing that.
- 12:35Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean that is one of the sickest things
- 12:38Speaker 8: I've ever seen. You're on a boat with a fully
- 12:42Speaker 8: pregnant woman.
- 12:43Speaker 6: Yeah, like in y'all like six years in Like I
- 12:46Speaker 6: don't know, crazy, but if y'all are like.
- 12:48Speaker 8: That in right, just why don't you just get there
- 12:50Speaker 8: and just leave your.
- 12:53Speaker 7: Right And she wasn't like barely showing.
- 12:57Speaker 8: No, no, no, she was like seven months pregnant.
- 12:59Speaker 7: He could feel baby kicking. Maybe you could see it.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Yeah, baby rabes were just spending time with this kid.
- 13:04Speaker 7: Guys, true, Jake Dnle, he's uncomfortable.
- 13:08Speaker 6: Well, just there's a lot of ways that could have
- 13:10Speaker 6: gone okay, and nobody did. So I'm proud of you,
- 13:13Speaker 6: good for us. I'm proud of y'all, very proud of y'all.
- 13:16Speaker 8: All right, i'd be fighting the intrusive thoughts back here.
- 13:19Speaker 6: Oh, I mean, there's a lot of couple that could
- 13:21Speaker 6: have happened there, there's no doubt about it. I'm proud
- 13:24Speaker 6: of y'all. Y'all did not just yell out the first
- 13:26Speaker 6: thing to come to your brain. Yeah, I wanted to
- 13:28Speaker 6: a couple of times, and I was. I was weighing
- 13:30Speaker 6: the pros and cons of it.
- 13:31Speaker 5: I know I saw you. You're fighting through it.
- 13:35Speaker 7: Let's take a break, regroup, more conversation, guys, more OTV
- 13:41Speaker 7: when we come back here, live in the racing game studio.

- 15:07Speaker 7: We'll find out together again, little fun together. You got
- 15:14Speaker 7: a great movie. I was just.
- 15:19Speaker 6: What would be the version of You've Got Mail today?
- 15:22Speaker 6: Like what would they call that? You got a text?
- 15:25Speaker 6: You've got text, You've got a d M?
- 15:28Speaker 5: No, Like what would they call the movie with Tom
- 15:30Speaker 5: Hanks You've got mail? Remember that to go down to the.
- 15:38Speaker 6: Mm hmmm, because like if they had that today, Like Okay,
- 15:42Speaker 6: I got an email?
- 15:43Speaker 5: Cool?
- 15:44Speaker 7: Yeah, swipe right or left? I don't know swipe right.
- 15:52Speaker 5: You know about swiping rights.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Like nothing, you're like back in the day, Like you know,
- 16:02Speaker 2: back in our day began their day, you had to like.
- 16:07Speaker 7: Talk to girls with your mouth stead of just like
- 16:12Speaker 7: swiping right.
- 16:13Speaker 6: Yeah, we did have AOL into the message, so I
- 16:20Speaker 6: mean that was our version, like hiding behind like a keyboard.
- 16:27Speaker 7: That was good for us.
- 16:33Speaker 6: Like you wouldn't say those things, you know, in person,
- 16:36Speaker 6: but can you sure be using them on aim?
- 16:39Speaker 7: So you're leaving us in a few minutes.
- 16:41Speaker 5: Yeah, I got ye.
- 16:45Speaker 6: Get a big serious ExM meaning that it's like mandatory.
- 16:50Speaker 5: And then you know it's one of those deals where
- 16:54Speaker 5: it's the only time that everybody could do it.
- 16:55Speaker 7: And I'm like, that's true. You don't always come to
- 16:58Speaker 7: the mandatory meetings here.
- 17:01Speaker 6: I make more money there by being completely honest.
- 17:06Speaker 5: You know.
- 17:09Speaker 6: Yeah, baseball this weekend, we do. Yeah, we do know. No, Yeah,
- 17:14Speaker 6: we got gosh Me and Zachary America.
- 17:17Speaker 7: Yet again, that's like our home field, man, it's like
- 17:19Speaker 7: our seventh or eighth tournament house out there. Yeah.
- 17:23Speaker 5: I think an Airbnb or something RV could do it.
- 17:28Speaker 7: Kind of fun, It would be kind of fun.
- 17:31Speaker 6: Uh And then uh, actually Hodey is in Baton Rouge,
- 17:36Speaker 6: so he's right down the street.
- 17:37Speaker 5: It's always Memphis. It's all man Zachary.
- 17:40Speaker 6: I think it's I think it's an eighth tournament in
- 17:42Speaker 6: Zachary tournaments.
- 17:46Speaker 7: I don't think I played my whole life.
- 17:50Speaker 6: Well, we didn't have that growing up. I mean summer
- 17:53Speaker 6: summer we had tournaments all one year.
- 17:56Speaker 7: Yeah, I did. I played. I played summer ball one
- 17:58Speaker 7: year and after that is when I decided to quip.
- 18:05Speaker 6: I kind of liked having something to do in the summer,
- 18:07Speaker 6: like with summer baseball, Like I go to football workouts
- 18:10Speaker 6: in the morning. Yeah, kind of just come back, kind
- 18:13Speaker 6: of like lay on the couch until we had a
- 18:15Speaker 6: summer ball game that afternoon.
- 18:16Speaker 7: I didn't play the tournament ball until like eighth grade,
- 18:19Speaker 7: and that was a time where I just kind of
- 18:20Speaker 7: wanted in the summer. I just played baseball in the fall.
- 18:24Speaker 7: I played it in the spring and in the summer.
- 18:27Speaker 7: Was at that age where I wanted to go and
- 18:29Speaker 7: press some chicks by the pool with some can openers. Obviously,
- 18:33Speaker 7: Jack nice see one and a half flip? How'd that
- 18:37Speaker 7: go for you? I used to do some flipping. I'm
- 18:41Speaker 7: in with the got a couple of conversations out of it.
- 18:45Speaker 7: You reade a couple of notes, a couple notes. Will
- 18:48Speaker 7: you go out with me? Circle yes or no?
- 18:51Speaker 5: Don't hit me with the maybe they can give me
- 18:53Speaker 5: the option.
- 18:53Speaker 10: You want to keep the door open. So I do apologize,
- 19:03Speaker 10: but I do have to leave here in a little bit, all.
- 19:05Speaker 5: Right, I mean not even like leave like let me
- 19:07Speaker 5: next door so you can like say, what's.
- 19:08Speaker 7: Up, well, tripod? What do I want to talk about?
- 19:16Speaker 9: What I said?
- 19:18Speaker 7: The tripod rolls, I like, get rid of the dead
- 19:22Speaker 7: weight around here?
- 19:24Speaker 5: You said it, man, You said it?
- 19:27Speaker 7: Man?
- 19:31Speaker 5: What is that?
- 19:34Speaker 7: Sounds like a twin prop plane? And nobody else heard.
- 19:40Speaker 7: But obviously somebody is drilling in this building.
- 19:44Speaker 5: A jackhammer on the route.
- 19:46Speaker 9: God, I just saw Landing going upstairs something.
- 19:49Speaker 5: You doing something.
- 19:49Speaker 3: He's drilling through the fourth floor into the studio.
- 19:52Speaker 7: So you know that there are radio shows here.
- 19:55Speaker 9: He does know.
- 19:56Speaker 8: Oh he I must be a player of something, because
- 20:00Speaker 8: I was walking by and I said, oh hey, Landing.
- 20:02Speaker 9: He said, what's up? Player?
- 20:04Speaker 7: Yeah, sketching on. I read a letter to everybody. He
- 20:09Speaker 7: did call you a player. Yeah.
- 20:11Speaker 3: He didn't see CEO on the email because he wanted
- 20:13Speaker 3: it to be a surprise. We all got one. It's
- 20:18Speaker 3: a thing though.
- 20:19Speaker 9: Yeah look at me a player.
- 20:27Speaker 5: Yeah, player, just crush a lot.
- 20:29Speaker 9: Yeah that's me. What are you doing?
- 20:35Speaker 7: I don't know. I stretching. You're prepping for I have
- 20:38Speaker 7: a disease.
- 20:39Speaker 3: People, now you're getting You're getting loose, ready for Jake.
- 20:43Speaker 7: To leave you. You're warming on so many so much content.
- 20:47Speaker 6: You know when you were talking about yesterday, So I
- 20:50Speaker 6: didn't see the video you were talking about y'all were
- 20:52Speaker 6: talking about Sam Levitt going between the legs and don.
- 20:54Speaker 5: I thought y'all actually meant in basketball.
- 20:56Speaker 6: I did not know it was on the goalpost and
- 20:58Speaker 6: the indoor door facility, So like that makes it better.
- 21:01Speaker 5: I'm like why.
- 21:01Speaker 6: At first, I was like, why is he playing back?
- 21:03Speaker 6: Like what is he recovering? Like what's he playing basketball for?
- 21:07Speaker 6: I didn't know it was actually in the indoor a
- 21:09Speaker 6: throwing session because, uh, Membhus and I went in there
- 21:14Speaker 6: yesterday and we were throwing. We're on a little post,
- 21:18Speaker 6: a little corner, little option routes in the endoor, and uh,
- 21:22Speaker 6: there was a couple of guys in there that were
- 21:23Speaker 6: working like they had this jug machine that they have.
- 21:27Speaker 5: Oh my god, it's not like the one we had.
- 21:31Speaker 5: Oh yeah, it's like you just got a remote. That
- 21:35Speaker 5: thing was throwing the ball like eighty two miles per hour.
- 21:38Speaker 5: It had to be. I mean, I know, no, I
- 21:43Speaker 5: said eighty two forty two. I think it was awesome.
- 21:48Speaker 6: Like you can get it where it's on a timer
- 21:50Speaker 6: and you run a route, you're on a post, you're
- 21:52Speaker 6: on a corner, and it's going to shoot the ball
- 21:53Speaker 6: to you.
- 21:54Speaker 5: That's a game, Tane. We don't even need you anymore,
- 21:55Speaker 5: Bud till the games.
- 21:58Speaker 7: Didn't have the robots play quarterback yet.
- 22:07Speaker 3: Oh oh, Jake like Lane said that, uh lever in
- 22:13Speaker 3: twenty one miles per hour last week as well, So
- 22:15Speaker 3: like he looks, question that he looks fully healthy and
- 22:18Speaker 3: if he is great Like somebody the other day was
- 22:21Speaker 3: bringing up, oh, but when he played in Mississippi State,
- 22:24Speaker 3: he was about I get that, but go back and
- 22:26Speaker 3: watch that game. That offensive line didn't hold up. He
- 22:29Speaker 3: was running for his life whole game. Doesn't excuse his performance.
- 22:32Speaker 3: But I mean that guy went and beat TCU, who
- 22:35Speaker 3: was top twenty five. He went and beat Texas Tech,
- 22:37Speaker 3: who was number seven at the time. Two of the
- 22:40Speaker 3: last three games of the season. Like in the big moments,
- 22:42Speaker 3: Levitt still steppedup. Last year.
- 22:43Speaker 6: I played great against Texas and the Coash Football playoff too.
- 22:48Speaker 6: That was one of my favorite games of the year.
- 22:52Speaker 6: I just looked it up. Twenty one miles an hour.
- 22:57Speaker 6: If you convert that to a forty yard dash, you're
- 23:02Speaker 6: in a three point nine.
- 23:04Speaker 3: That seems pretty fast.
- 23:06Speaker 7: Sorry, now he's gotta start, so you gotta you gotta,
- 23:09Speaker 7: you gotta put it start. It's not top speed the
- 23:10Speaker 7: whole time. You gotta add the start in. My buddy
- 23:13Speaker 7: did that for me too. Four two to four four,
- 23:17Speaker 7: I don't know how far fast. Guy of the blocks. Wow,
- 23:21Speaker 7: so our quarterback rounds at four to two.
- 23:25Speaker 3: And condunk between the leg and so so and he
- 23:30Speaker 3: looks like Prince Charming. He does, he does, and had
- 23:35Speaker 3: a good finish to the year. Like I was just
- 23:37Speaker 3: talking about the Mississippi State game. That was game two
- 23:40Speaker 3: of the year. He didn't throw a single interception after
- 23:42Speaker 3: that game. That was September sixth of last year. That's
- 23:46Speaker 3: the last time Sam Levitt do a pick.
- 23:48Speaker 6: I mean, yeah, there's a reason why he's number one
- 23:49Speaker 6: poor player, like almost every sight and because not one.
- 23:52Speaker 5: He's like top three, so yeah, you should be very excited.
- 23:56Speaker 7: So we feel confident, we feel excited. Yes, you know
- 23:59Speaker 7: he did it with a quarterback from Farris State. Why not?
- 24:03Speaker 7: Sam love it?
- 24:04Speaker 6: That's also very fairs four two very fairis oh?
- 24:13Speaker 7: Sorry's good? Is he gonna break the combine record next year?
- 24:18Speaker 7: All right, I'll see.
- 24:19Speaker 6: Let's see where your mind's going. Let's go ahead and
- 24:21Speaker 6: take rate more OTV when we come back here live.
- 24:23Speaker 5: From the Raisin King studio.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Off the bench, all.
- 24:26Speaker 6: Right, go to Emerson Heating and Airs website e ms
- 24:29Speaker 6: air dot net, emsair dot net. It is that time
- 24:33Speaker 6: of year, it is already here, and that heat isn't
- 24:36Speaker 6: going to slow down for a long time. So your
- 24:38Speaker 6: eight C unit shouldn't either. It should be working at
- 24:41Speaker 6: its peak performance. And to make sure that it is,
- 24:44Speaker 6: you need to have them come out because there's an
- 24:46Speaker 6: eighty nine dollars OTV listener special AC tune up, gonna
- 24:51Speaker 6: make sure it is running right, it's ready to go
- 24:52Speaker 6: to handle all the usage it's going to have here
- 24:55Speaker 6: in the South Louisiana heat. Again, just eighty nine dollars
- 24:58Speaker 6: only for OTB LI listeners. Let them know you heard
- 25:01Speaker 6: it here on the show ems Air Doteam.
- 25:02Speaker 7: It's right Emerson heating and air with the summer heat
- 25:05Speaker 7: here and with it coming even more this as we
- 25:09Speaker 7: get into the next couple of weeks. Make sure that
- 25:11Speaker 7: air condition is running and running smooth. They can come
- 25:13Speaker 7: and check it out, Like Jake just said, for eighty
- 25:15Speaker 7: nine dollars for OTB listeners, he'll come check out, make
- 25:18Speaker 7: sure everything is running smoothly. But for all your emergencies,
- 25:21Speaker 7: because when it happens, it is an absolute emergency. So
- 25:23Speaker 7: called EMS air dot net. Ems air dot net.
- 25:36Speaker 1: From the locker room to the airwaves. Gets off the
- 25:39Speaker 1: bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 25:42Speaker 5: Star come.
- 25:49Speaker 9: Mild.
- 25:55Speaker 7: We are closing out the week. Finally we get rid
- 25:59Speaker 7: of Jake. He really kind of derails the show a
- 26:04Speaker 7: little bit sometimes. Yeah, on topic any sports. He didn't
- 26:08Speaker 7: even let you talk about Wimby much, not at all.
- 26:13Speaker 7: I knew, I know Taylor. I was gonna bring up
- 26:15Speaker 7: the rankings CBS had of the top college coaches in
- 26:22Speaker 7: the country. But also I feel like we're missing an
- 26:26Speaker 7: opportunity to hear also talk about nine a little bit. Oh,
- 26:29Speaker 7: JJ J McCarthy up in Minnesota, So Kyler Murray is
- 26:35Speaker 7: up there and they are competing. I guess I guess
- 26:38Speaker 7: they're like, I guess it's probably an open competition. Yeah,
- 26:40Speaker 7: I mean, is probably the overwhelming favor job. He certainly is,
- 26:45Speaker 7: and it's probably maybe a JJ kind of knows like
- 26:48Speaker 7: if he does it, JJ doesn't win the job this year,
- 26:50Speaker 7: it's this will probably be his last year in Minnesota.
- 26:53Speaker 8: So you didn't see it, but the video, Yeah.
- 26:57Speaker 7: I did see the video. I don't know, you gotta
- 27:00Speaker 7: to pull that up.
- 27:01Speaker 8: I just put it in the Okay.
- 27:03Speaker 7: So yeah, they were both interviewed and it was spliced
- 27:05Speaker 7: together just like pretty generic questions like hey, y'all are
- 27:09Speaker 7: new working with each other, Like, how's it been, how's
- 27:12Speaker 7: it been in the meeting room? Are you trying to
- 27:13Speaker 7: like get some good advice from Kyler? Because Kyler is
- 27:15Speaker 7: a multiple, multiple year veteran apparently doesn't see himself that way.
- 27:20Speaker 7: He doesn't see himself and JJ had interested in response,
- 27:23Speaker 7: Kyler handles hit quite a lot better, uh than than
- 27:27Speaker 7: then old number nine. We're hanging on, buddy, And I
- 27:32Speaker 7: was sorry, I was listening to this and I was like, man, JJ,
- 27:38Speaker 7: you need to grow up a little bit. Yeah, yeah,
- 27:41Speaker 7: have a little self aware to hear them both. Yeah,
- 27:44Speaker 7: let's hear about so they pretty much the same questions
- 27:46Speaker 7: being answered by the Beat writers up there in Minnesota
- 27:49Speaker 7: to Kyler Murray and JJ McCarthy.
- 27:52Speaker 5: Relationship with JJ to this point, it's been great.
- 27:55Speaker 7: It's been great.
- 27:56Speaker 5: Obviously.
- 27:56Speaker 11: I know he's a younger guy, so any any way
- 27:59Speaker 11: I can help him off. So I feel like, you know,
- 28:00Speaker 11: I've played seven years now, going on eight, so I'm
- 28:03Speaker 11: considered veteran, even though I don't see myself as that
- 28:06Speaker 11: give him any knowledge that he needs. Again, you know,
- 28:09Speaker 11: we're both competitors, and I know, you know, we both
- 28:12Speaker 11: wont was best of the team hearing of course, of course,
- 28:16Speaker 11: yeah he's not. He's overly acceptive, you know, and he's
- 28:19Speaker 11: he's always communicating, asking questions, stuff like that. So it's
- 28:21Speaker 11: been Goody.
- 28:22Speaker 12: What's your relationship been like with Kyler so far? You know,
- 28:26Speaker 12: it's just like two guys in a classroom. You know,
- 28:28Speaker 12: he sits on one side, I sit on the other side,
- 28:30Speaker 12: and it's a coach's responsibility to teach us and coach us.
- 28:33Speaker 11: So is there any awkwardness like between you two?
- 28:37Speaker 12: Awkwardness you know, it's just like the same feeling, you know,
- 28:40Speaker 12: when you're in high school and there's another person on
- 28:43Speaker 12: the other side of the room. That's just kind of
- 28:44Speaker 12: how it is. So I wouldn't say there's any awkwardness.
- 28:48Speaker 3: I don't see the I don't see the problem. He said,
- 28:50Speaker 3: there's no awkwardness.
- 28:51Speaker 7: For for one, what is he talking about? Is there awkwardness?
- 28:56Speaker 7: It's just like you're in high school and there's a
- 28:57Speaker 7: guy on the other side of the classroom.
- 28:59Speaker 3: Meaning we don't talk.
- 29:01Speaker 7: Yeah, this was a not a very.
- 29:04Speaker 8: Good looks no, because I think that was very intentional
- 29:08Speaker 8: by him.
- 29:11Speaker 7: And he paused yea, and he hesitated, and they actually
- 29:14Speaker 7: thought about the words that were about saying, it's like,
- 29:18Speaker 7: I don't want to answer this, but clearly you don't
- 29:20Speaker 7: like Kyler.
- 29:21Speaker 8: Yeah, because they asked Kyler like is he open to
- 29:26Speaker 8: criticism or whatever it was, and he was like, yeah,
- 29:29Speaker 8: he's open to whatever, Yeah.
- 29:30Speaker 9: Overly accepting.
- 29:32Speaker 8: And then he asks him or they ask him the
- 29:35Speaker 8: question and he's like, to be clear, the coach is
- 29:37Speaker 8: the one who does the teaching around here, So like
- 29:39Speaker 8: to me, I don't know, I don't think that he
- 29:42Speaker 8: heard what Kyler's answer was, But I do think that
- 29:45Speaker 8: it felt very intentional by JJ to make it a
- 29:49Speaker 8: point to say the coach does the coaching around here.
- 29:52Speaker 7: Pretty wild to say Kyler Murray was the much more
- 29:55Speaker 7: mature person.
- 29:57Speaker 9: Yeah right, you would never think that early on.
- 29:59Speaker 3: Here, back to back, when he's like, yeah, he's been
- 30:01Speaker 3: very receptive and you go to JJ McCarthy, he's like,
- 30:04Speaker 3: this guy kind of sucks.
- 30:05Speaker 7: Yeah, I hate this guy right now. I hate this guy.
- 30:07Speaker 7: He's just from a high school kid on the other
- 30:09Speaker 7: side of the classroom from me, from a.
- 30:11Speaker 3: Competitor standpoint, like just that, I do get it, you know, like,
- 30:16Speaker 3: you want this to be your team, you bring in
- 30:18Speaker 3: the new guy. However, as the quarterback of the team
- 30:21Speaker 3: who your job is very much not secure, you cannot
- 30:25Speaker 3: do that in the public eye.
- 30:27Speaker 7: So they had before that interview, they've had what one
- 30:30Speaker 7: ota practice Yep, that was day two. Yesterday was the
- 30:33Speaker 7: day two, And he's probably probably butt hurt that Kyler
- 30:37Speaker 7: got the number one reps over him. Yeah, well, newsflash,
- 30:42Speaker 7: it's the NFL. Nothing is guaranteed to you, especially when
- 30:47Speaker 7: you suck, right, And I'm not saying he sucks like
- 30:51Speaker 7: in general, I'm just saying he didn't play well enough,
- 30:53Speaker 7: so they felt the need to go get Kyler Murray
- 30:55Speaker 7: because rumors were they might even move on from him
- 30:59Speaker 7: this after this past year.
- 31:01Speaker 3: Yeah, in order to stick around, you know this, Like
- 31:04Speaker 3: you gotta be a locker room guy, Matt. People aren't
- 31:07Speaker 3: gonna forget this quote.
- 31:08Speaker 7: I know people aren't going.
- 31:09Speaker 3: To forget it.
- 31:10Speaker 8: If you're not gonna be the starter, you at least
- 31:12Speaker 8: have to be a good teammate.
- 31:14Speaker 9: And that doesn't give good teammate to me.
- 31:15Speaker 3: And when Chad Hinney brought up the fact that he's
- 31:17Speaker 3: like I was such a good backup for Patrick Holmes
- 31:19Speaker 3: that he requested to keep me around for like six
- 31:22Speaker 3: years in Kansas City.
- 31:23Speaker 7: You know what, this would really piss Jake off, Like
- 31:25Speaker 7: you know what vibes I got from him right there?
- 31:28Speaker 7: I got Jake Keutler vibes.
- 31:30Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 31:30Speaker 7: When I watch from a body language, from a facial expression,
- 31:35Speaker 7: from a delivery standpoint, he delivered it with real baby
- 31:41Speaker 7: pooh body language, and that is not a good look. Yeah,
- 31:45Speaker 7: you're not going to forget the words as a teammate,
- 31:49Speaker 7: but you're not gonna figure like the way it was said.
- 31:51Speaker 7: So and this is over analyzing because it's fun to
- 31:54Speaker 7: get controversy, especially this time of year.
- 31:56Speaker 3: But like this is this is gonna be juicy this
- 31:59Speaker 3: year again. Nobody's just gonna forget this. I know that
- 32:02Speaker 3: because I'll never forget the Jared Stoodham clip from two
- 32:05Speaker 3: years ago. It's training camp they officially named Boenix. I
- 32:09Speaker 3: mean yeah, they officially named Bodicks and the starting quarterback
- 32:12Speaker 3: as a rookie, Jared Stidham, Zach Wilson. Zach Wilson's a
- 32:16Speaker 3: number two overall pick who got benched in New York.
- 32:19Speaker 3: He's on his third team at this point. He has
- 32:22Speaker 3: a right to feel some type of way, right, but
- 32:23Speaker 3: he didn't. They interviewed Zach Wilson, he goes, oh, Bo's
- 32:26Speaker 3: a great guy. You know, he's gonna lead this rocker room.
- 32:29Speaker 3: My job is to come be the best teammate I
- 32:31Speaker 3: can be. That's why anytime Zach Wilson's released, he's immediately
- 32:34Speaker 3: picked up. Jared Stidham. On the other side, they interviewed
- 32:37Speaker 3: him at Jared Studem's response was something along the lines
- 32:39Speaker 3: of I felt like I should have been named the starter. Yeah,
- 32:42Speaker 3: and look at the opinions of those guys around the league.
- 32:44Speaker 3: Zach Wilson's always going to have a job because of that. Yep,
- 32:48Speaker 3: there's a way to handle yourself.
- 32:49Speaker 7: There's a way not to And there is also a
- 32:51Speaker 7: way to be confident in cocky without looking like a
- 32:57Speaker 7: DBA like yeah, I like a dbag like what JJ
- 33:01Speaker 7: just did. There's a way to do it. And you
- 33:03Speaker 7: can tell, like if somebody's actually confident, it exudes off
- 33:07Speaker 7: of them, right, Yeah, they actually think they're the best.
- 33:09Speaker 7: Like even when they compliment the other person, you can
- 33:12Speaker 7: feel that they know that. You know, he thinks he's
- 33:15Speaker 7: better than the other person, even though he's saying the right. Well, La,
- 33:18Speaker 7: there's a way to give it. You see it all
- 33:19Speaker 7: the time. You see people that are overly confident. That's
- 33:22Speaker 7: what that's how most people get to be professional athletes
- 33:24Speaker 7: because there's some sort of cocky air against whatever that is.
- 33:29Speaker 7: But when you have to go out of your way
- 33:31Speaker 7: to do it, it's a little bit weak, Right.
- 33:35Speaker 3: I think you could take a jab. I'd be easy
- 33:37Speaker 3: going about it, right, small looker for his joke around
- 33:39Speaker 3: this dude's tense, Yeah, big Tom.
- 33:41Speaker 7: How about like hey, you know, how about like hey,
- 33:43Speaker 7: we're just we don't really know each other. We're still
- 33:45Speaker 7: getting to know each other, you know, it's you know,
- 33:46Speaker 7: we got different backgrounds or whatever. I don't like if
- 33:48Speaker 7: you really don't like the person, Like if they kind
- 33:51Speaker 7: of fistfight the first time they saw each other. I
- 33:53Speaker 7: get it, but like I doubt it. The other thing
- 33:57Speaker 7: I took with in the video is the little toboggan
- 34:01Speaker 7: hoodie that Kyler was wearing.
- 34:02Speaker 9: You got to take it off.
- 34:03Speaker 5: Take it.
- 34:05Speaker 7: Don't wear anything that's oversized for you. No, you're already small.
- 34:09Speaker 7: Everything that you do that you put on oversize makes
- 34:12Speaker 7: you look smaller.
- 34:14Speaker 9: Yeah, I got from that.
- 34:16Speaker 8: JJ wants to make it very clear to Kyler that
- 34:21Speaker 8: he believes that he's the one that should be the starter.
- 34:23Speaker 7: Yeah, he's he's but hurt that he didn't get the
- 34:25Speaker 7: number one reps the first day of OTAs because they
- 34:28Speaker 7: paid Kyler we twenty twenty five million something like that. Yeah,
- 34:31Speaker 7: I mean, yeah, I actually think Kyler can be pretty
- 34:35Speaker 7: good with Kevin O'Connell. Dude, he's got weapons, he's got weapons.
- 34:38Speaker 7: He's mean that there's an athleticism that will be a match.
- 34:41Speaker 7: And yes we can have fun and laugh at the
- 34:44Speaker 7: how how much of a small boy is but I
- 34:49Speaker 7: can't argue with the athleticism and the talent now that
- 34:53Speaker 7: hasn't shown itself at any form any like anywhere close
- 34:57Speaker 7: to consistent. But it has shown. You've seen flashes. You
- 35:00Speaker 7: have seen it, and you've seen it for multiple games.
- 35:02Speaker 7: Maybe not like a stretch in a row, but you've
- 35:05Speaker 7: seen it. Now you're with what a lot of people
- 35:08Speaker 7: like to call it a QB whisper, with Kevin O'Connell,
- 35:11Speaker 7: and you got a ton of weapons around you. I
- 35:14Speaker 7: don't know, it could be fun to watch.
- 35:15Speaker 3: It's it's about far the best weapons. He said, like, look,
- 35:18Speaker 3: I'm not defended him. He was bad last year, but
- 35:20Speaker 3: who's he throwing the ball to Trade McBride outside of
- 35:22Speaker 3: Trade McBride, Like Martin Morrison Junior hasn't lived up to
- 35:25Speaker 3: the hype, like you got Wilson out there, like there's
- 35:29Speaker 3: there wasn't a ton of options in Arizona. You got
- 35:32Speaker 3: Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and Juwan Jennings. To me, the
- 35:36Speaker 3: biggest thing. And you can speak to this better than anybody.
- 35:38Speaker 3: Kylic never played a ton of under center high school
- 35:42Speaker 3: college Arizona.
- 35:43Speaker 7: You didn't.
- 35:43Speaker 3: Kevin O'Connell runs a lot of under center. But if
- 35:47Speaker 3: Kyler can get that down, man, I mean.
- 35:49Speaker 7: It could be fun to watch him at under center.
- 35:51Speaker 7: Like the way he can turn for playing a quarterback,
- 35:54Speaker 7: it's a big advantage when you can turn your back
- 35:57Speaker 7: to a defense.
- 35:58Speaker 3: It'd be great play action. The defense is gonna sy.
- 36:01Speaker 7: Uh, where's this guy?
- 36:04Speaker 3: Did they roll out to the right in the play?
- 36:06Speaker 7: Is that the other cause? But look, I feel like
- 36:13Speaker 7: I'm pretty I got I got the notches on the
- 36:17Speaker 7: belt to be able to like have an opinion on this,
- 36:19Speaker 7: because like I was in Seattle and very disgruntled. I
- 36:23Speaker 7: was a disgruntled.
- 36:24Speaker 9: Guy, but you weren't.
- 36:26Speaker 3: Matt used to vandalize the facility at least once a week.
- 36:29Speaker 7: I mean, maybe I came off as a d bag,
- 36:31Speaker 7: but not that big.
- 36:33Speaker 8: I mean, but you also had another person that was
- 36:36Speaker 8: like a straight up tool.
- 36:38Speaker 7: Yeah, the color seems a lot cooler.
- 36:42Speaker 8: Yeah then you no? Oh yeah the other one. Yes,
