- 0:13Speaker 1: I actually can? I tell you every time? So everyone
- 0:17Speaker 1: knows I don't drink, but I'm a whatever. When I
- 0:20Speaker 1: stay out past a certain point, I know the next
- 0:24Speaker 1: day I'm going to feel hungover. Yeah, like if you
- 0:28Speaker 1: don't drink, even though I don't drink. Yeah Like, I
- 0:31Speaker 1: don't know. If it's an interaction hangover, which we've spoken
- 0:33Speaker 1: about before. It's a real thing. I get that. I'm
- 0:36Speaker 1: sure a lot of you guys get that as well.
- 0:38Speaker 1: But it's like when I see the clock hit midnight,
- 0:44Speaker 1: I go into full panic.
- 0:46Speaker 4: Wait, so tell us all about Vegas because I haven't heard. Okay,
- 0:50Speaker 4: you stayed out late?
- 0:51Speaker 1: Vegas was lit? Okay, it was so much fun.
- 0:53Speaker 4: Why did you go again?
- 0:55Speaker 1: We went because Lisa opened another restaurant at the Paris.
- 1:00Speaker 1: So she has one at Caesar's, which is vander Pump Garden.
- 1:04Speaker 1: This one is at the Paris and I'm gonna botch it.
- 1:08Speaker 1: It's vander Pump. I think it's like vander Pump up.
- 1:15Speaker 4: Vandis.
- 1:16Speaker 1: We'll just call it vander Pumps.
- 1:18Speaker 4: Okay, vander Pump Paris.
- 1:20Speaker 1: It was gorgeous. Lisa, this queen bitch walks in with
- 1:25Speaker 1: two fine looking men and giant poodles.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Stop. She made an entrance, of course she always does.
- 1:36Speaker 1: And I was, you know how uninspired I get by,
- 1:39Speaker 1: like just clothing. Yeah, like I like my sweatpants. I
- 1:43Speaker 1: like oversize everything in sneakers, Like it's a lot to
- 1:46Speaker 1: fucking pack, So I like packed all this shit. Katie
- 1:50Speaker 1: then sends me what she's gonna wear, and she looks
- 1:53Speaker 1: very Parisian, So I was. I went back to the
- 1:55Speaker 1: drawing board and I had like this really cute dress
- 1:57Speaker 1: that I've never worn, which, by the way, I had
- 2:00Speaker 1: it tailored to my body. Then I got pregnant, and
- 2:05Speaker 1: then I was like, I'm never going to fit in
- 2:07Speaker 1: it again, Like I can never wear it well thanks
- 2:09Speaker 1: to stress and me dropping a billion pounds. Fit like
- 2:14Speaker 1: a glove? Did it?
- 2:16Speaker 4: Yeah that's great though, because you've been nervous, You've been like,
- 2:19Speaker 4: I lost too much weight. But if it fit like
- 2:21Speaker 4: a glove, maybe you're.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Getting back to Maybe.
- 2:26Speaker 4: I don't know. It looked amazing and it gave me
- 2:28Speaker 4: Alice in Wonderland vibes.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Okay, A few people said that yeah.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Which I mean you have to.
- 2:33Speaker 1: That's good. It's yeah, like I felt, I felt Parisian.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Yeah, you looked at and that purse. Where was that
- 2:39Speaker 4: purse from.
- 2:40Speaker 1: The purse that was my So the purse is my
- 2:44Speaker 1: great grandmother's. Oh that's so sweet and it's an excellent condition. Yeah.
- 2:49Speaker 4: Is it a certain brand or is it just no.
- 2:52Speaker 1: It's just like this hand beaded so cute and cheek
- 2:56Speaker 1: I got a lot of them from my from my grandmother. Oh,
- 2:59Speaker 1: that's down to me. No, it was so cute. And
- 3:03Speaker 1: then we just like went out and about so we
- 3:05Speaker 1: flew in the The event was on a Thursday. Katie
- 3:08Speaker 1: and I left Wednesday morning and got back Friday morning,
- 3:13Speaker 1: and we just like lived our best life. Like Katie
- 3:17Speaker 1: and I are in a relationship. I don't care what
- 3:19Speaker 1: she says. If she denies it, don't listen to her.
- 3:23Speaker 1: We are full on.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Together love love That good for you too, And.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I'm just like so proud of the both of us.
- 3:30Speaker 1: We were like mingling ooh, given the eye ooh. And
- 3:35Speaker 1: then we go to a bar and there is something
- 3:41Speaker 1: on the television that's playing I won't say what it is,
- 3:46Speaker 1: and there was a fine looking man and Katie Tequila.
- 3:51Speaker 4: Katie was like, y'are gonna slide out his day write out?
- 3:55Speaker 1: You're gonna And I was like, no, I'm scared. I
- 3:58Speaker 1: was like, I cannot be this bitch who slides into dms.
- 4:02Speaker 4: Why, Like, because that's how you meet people these days.
- 4:07Speaker 4: You're not on dating apps and I know you're not
- 4:08Speaker 4: looking to meet anyone, but it's fun.
- 4:10Speaker 1: All right, Well, I did it.
- 4:11Speaker 4: You did it.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I did it.
- 4:13Speaker 4: I haven't heard this, you guys. This is an exclusive
- 4:15Speaker 4: to me.
- 4:15Speaker 1: I did it. The DM is my See, that's the thing.
- 4:18Speaker 1: The DM is my is my safe space. Well I
- 4:20Speaker 1: don't know if it's a safe space, but it's like, okay,
- 4:23Speaker 1: I've done this now like a handful of times, right,
- 4:28Speaker 1: and we got a response okay, And we've been bumping
- 4:33Speaker 1: gums with each other and he's cute and whatever.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Can you tease what? So we know you saw him
- 4:42Speaker 4: on the TV. This could be anything, you guys. This
- 4:44Speaker 4: could be like reality star, this could be like news anchor.
- 4:48Speaker 4: You're not gonna tell us. I'm not gonna give us
- 4:50Speaker 4: any hints.
- 4:51Speaker 1: No, because he's like a really well well okay person,
- 4:55Speaker 1: and I just don't even want to go there. I'm sure,
- 4:58Speaker 1: Like I know for a fact he's not listening to
- 5:01Speaker 1: give them all a podcast. Well, let's just say he did.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I would crawl in a hole.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Right.
- 5:06Speaker 4: So if you were in Vegas and out and happened
- 5:10Speaker 4: to see Katie and La La and we're at the
- 5:11Speaker 4: same place and remember what was on the TV, then you'll.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Have a clue. Then you'll have a clue. Yeah, And
- 5:18Speaker 1: you know what, This is where I'm struggle buss, right,
- 5:23Speaker 1: because I'm completely content having conversations with people. But like
- 5:29Speaker 1: I was in Vegas, right, I had my own room.
- 5:33Speaker 1: I was away from like the hubbub of just my
- 5:36Speaker 1: everyday life. I don't like for me, It's like you
- 5:40Speaker 1: could bring a guy back to your room or you
- 5:44Speaker 1: could go back alone and do a face mask and
- 5:47Speaker 1: watch friends, and the latter sounds way more fun to me. Yeah,
- 5:51Speaker 1: I don't want it right now.
- 5:53Speaker 4: So then that's what you do, you know, that's what
- 5:56Speaker 4: you do.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Simple text messages, FaceTime calls, phone calls. Maybe we can
- 6:02Speaker 1: meet up. Okay, I don't want a man in my
- 6:06Speaker 1: bed and I don't want to be in a man's bed.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Well there you go. And also, this is like the
- 6:12Speaker 4: New Age quote unquote dating. And I know a lot
- 6:15Speaker 4: of people are gonna hate that I say that, but
- 6:17Speaker 4: it is heavy conversation first, it's the talking stage. It's
- 6:21Speaker 4: and just because you're not on dating apps doesn't mean
- 6:23Speaker 4: it can't happen wet gms.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Right, But I watched this thing about dating apps, okay,
- 6:33Speaker 1: and people have been like murdered and assaulted, and I'm like, uh, nerve.
- 6:38Speaker 4: I'm not laughing obviously at that terrible thing. I'm laughing
- 6:42Speaker 4: at like the fact that I thought it was going
- 6:44Speaker 4: to be positive and then it took a really dark turn.
- 6:47Speaker 1: I sometimes laugh when I get nervous. Oh oh, I
- 6:50Speaker 1: laugh when I get nervous constantly, and I start playing
- 6:52Speaker 1: with my fingers and stuff, and I'm like, oh fuck, yep.
- 6:56Speaker 2: No.
- 6:56Speaker 1: So I watched that, and I've learned that like these
- 7:00Speaker 1: these apps, these dating apps, they're not held responsible if
- 7:05Speaker 1: they let someone on the site who like could be
- 7:07Speaker 1: a serial killer. Oh, and that freaks me out. Not
- 7:11Speaker 1: that the dms are like any safer. You could still
- 7:13Speaker 1: meet someone sketch.
- 7:15Speaker 4: Right, but you could really really go You could find
- 7:18Speaker 4: out a lot.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I mean, I want to know anyone who's listening if
- 7:22Speaker 1: you met someone on a dating app and you guys
- 7:25Speaker 1: are like happy and healthy. Maybe you're married now and
- 7:28Speaker 1: have children. If you met in the dms, Like, I
- 7:31Speaker 1: want to know your story and I want to share
- 7:33Speaker 1: them on the podcast because I know that this is
- 7:35Speaker 1: a topic we venture in too often, because I'm in
- 7:38Speaker 1: brand new waters and I have been single for half
- 7:44Speaker 1: of a year, and I want to know, Like, I
- 7:48Speaker 1: want to know your stories where you single for a
- 7:50Speaker 1: long time and you were like, Eh, the dick gross e.
- 7:55Speaker 1: That's not me gagging on a dick. That's me gagging
- 7:58Speaker 1: at the thought of one near me.
- 8:01Speaker 4: I'm not gagging on you. I'm gagging because.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Of you, right, Like, but can I tell you it
- 8:06Speaker 1: was just the best time ever in Vegas?
- 8:09Speaker 4: Okay, really quick, because I want to go back to this.
- 8:12Speaker 4: That would be super fun. If you're going to Lalla's tour,
- 8:15Speaker 4: they give them La La Tour. Yeah, and you have
- 8:18Speaker 4: that story about Hey, I met my partner he or
- 8:20Speaker 4: she is here with me. Look at we met on
- 8:22Speaker 4: a dating app. Yes, because she's doing a Q and
- 8:25Speaker 4: A segment and like, you can work a question into.
- 8:27Speaker 1: That one, can I tell you? Yeah, I do interviews
- 8:31Speaker 1: about the tour and they're like, what is it gonna
- 8:33Speaker 1: be about? And I'm like me, well, we go wherever
- 8:38Speaker 1: the wind takes us. There's no format, Like yeah, you
- 8:41Speaker 1: try to have a format, but then I feel like
- 8:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna get nervous if there's like bullet points of
- 8:46Speaker 1: like right, okay, now it's this segment. Okay, now it's
- 8:48Speaker 1: that segment, Like I just want to I want to
- 8:51Speaker 1: feel like I'm hanging out with my friends.
- 8:53Speaker 4: Exactly your people.
- 8:54Speaker 1: I love that.
- 8:55Speaker 4: And that's why it's gonna be so much fun. And
- 8:57Speaker 4: it's coming up any day now.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Okay, that's how one story.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Let's be honest.
- 9:01Speaker 4: I was gonna say back to Vegas because we still
- 9:03Speaker 4: haven't gotten like all the details yet.
- 9:05Speaker 1: So we one day Thursday before the event, we decided.
- 9:10Speaker 1: I was like, We're going to Toubeach. Okay, fun. It's
- 9:13Speaker 1: like a day like a pool day vibe and my
- 9:19Speaker 1: I've always been able not always well yeah, always always
- 9:23Speaker 1: get a table, always have like a cabana or whatever,
- 9:26Speaker 1: you know.
- 9:27Speaker 4: That like quintessential Vegas high roller style style.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Even but even back in the day, it was like
- 9:35Speaker 1: you go to someone else's table or whatever, you drink
- 9:38Speaker 1: their bood awesome, but I was like, this time, I
- 9:43Speaker 1: want a cabana, and I don't want anybody in it
- 9:47Speaker 1: but us, you know, because when you go to night
- 9:50Speaker 1: clubs and stuff, there's tables and it's like, but I
- 9:53Speaker 1: just feel like I'm in the club still because there's
- 9:56Speaker 1: so many people in here. Yes, this was awesome, and
- 10:01Speaker 1: I was like, I'm gonna fill it with all the
- 10:03Speaker 1: men in the world. And I'm looking around and I'm like,
- 10:07Speaker 1: I don't mind herds man.
- 10:09Speaker 4: I saw your Instagram story and then it quickly cut
- 10:12Speaker 4: to like Ariana instead.
- 10:14Speaker 1: It was like I decided to fill it with Arion instead. Okay,
- 10:17Speaker 1: so our it was me, Katie Ariana, Like we talked
- 10:19Speaker 1: to dudes whatever. But I was like, I don't think
- 10:21Speaker 1: you're allowed in my capana. So we arian is such
- 10:28Speaker 1: a vibe, okay, And I'm so happy that we've gotten
- 10:31Speaker 1: back to a place that we once were in. Right,
- 10:37Speaker 1: Ariana has always been a vibe. Love that bitch. By
- 10:40Speaker 1: the way, I did post the videos in the picture
- 10:42Speaker 1: from the time that I talked about, Yes, you did
- 10:45Speaker 1: fun stuff. Okay, So they're drinking blah blah blah. We're
- 10:50Speaker 1: having the best time ever. This girl rolls up on us.
- 10:55Speaker 1: She's gotten an accent, and she like sits in the
- 10:57Speaker 1: camana and we're like, hi, like sinking she's a fan
- 11:00Speaker 1: right now, She's not a fan.
- 11:02Speaker 4: Do you guys have any coke and not coca cola?
- 11:06Speaker 1: You know how I feel about cocaine, all right. I
- 11:09Speaker 1: have a visceral reaction to it. I'm like, I just
- 11:12Speaker 1: like even someone talking about I'm like, gross, you're not
- 11:15Speaker 1: my people, get the fuck away from me, Like, no,
- 11:18Speaker 1: I don't have cocaine for you, you fucking weirdo. You lose her.
- 11:23Speaker 1: You're walking around tow Beach, walking up to random people
- 11:27Speaker 1: asking if they have coke for you. That you slime? Yeah,
- 11:34Speaker 1: so can I tell you what I did? Because I
- 11:37Speaker 1: only drink coke right now, Like that's my buck wild drink.
- 11:40Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:41Speaker 1: I had like this huge picture and I go, yeah,
- 11:44Speaker 1: I have a whole picture. You have as much as
- 11:47Speaker 1: you want. What did she say? She didn't think I
- 11:50Speaker 1: was funny. She left and I was like, yeah, laugh, Yeah.
- 11:55Speaker 4: That was a moment to laugh, and she just moved on.
- 11:58Speaker 4: She was serious about nott Coca cola.
- 12:01Speaker 1: All right. So I've never done that ever in my life.
- 12:05Speaker 1: I have no desire. Sometimes when I when people ask
- 12:08Speaker 1: me about that and I display my reaction and my distaste,
- 12:12Speaker 1: They're like, did you have a bad trip? And I'm like, no, no, childhood,
- 12:17Speaker 1: did you have a bad something with that? And I'm like, no, no,
- 12:21Speaker 1: I didn't.
- 12:22Speaker 4: These are the moments I wish we had video because
- 12:24Speaker 4: your face right now when she's like, no, no.
- 12:28Speaker 1: No, I didn't. One day, I just think that it's disgusting. Yeah,
- 12:32Speaker 1: and you've I've never met anyone who's like, once I
- 12:35Speaker 1: discovered cocaine, my life got so great, right Like, no,
- 12:39Speaker 1: I'm watching you, and you're a fucking loser.
- 12:41Speaker 4: Right like it never you never wanted to try it,
- 12:44Speaker 4: you never did it, and you think God every day.
- 12:47Speaker 2: God.
- 12:48Speaker 1: I remember the first time I ever saw it. I
- 12:51Speaker 1: was in high school and I went to this house
- 12:54Speaker 1: party and these people were doing whatever you fucking do
- 12:58Speaker 1: with it, and I was just so disgusted about like
- 13:01Speaker 1: the no, like the snorting in the nose. I'm like,
- 13:04Speaker 1: you guys, and those people are losers. Yeah, they're still
- 13:08Speaker 1: fucking losers, yeah right now today.
- 13:11Speaker 4: And it's so uncomfortable when you can tell someone's on cocaine.
- 13:15Speaker 4: It's really you look at them and their jaws moving
- 13:18Speaker 4: and their pupils are huge, and they're talking a million
- 13:21Speaker 4: miles an hour or two.
- 13:22Speaker 1: And they're like looking through you.
- 13:24Speaker 4: Yeah, they're almost like talking to themselves, and you want to,
- 13:27Speaker 4: like I've wanted to excuse myself, but I'm so scared
- 13:30Speaker 4: that they'll get angry or something and I.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Don't know what they'll do hyped up.
- 13:33Speaker 4: Yeah, So I just like sit there and listen and
- 13:35Speaker 4: they start to sweat, and I'm like, get me out
- 13:38Speaker 4: of here. And I don't hang around in shady places.
- 13:41Speaker 1: But like it doesn't even have to it doesn't.
- 13:43Speaker 4: Yeah, wait, but did Ariana say something because you were
- 13:45Speaker 4: like I have a story about Arianna.
- 13:47Speaker 1: So she's just a fucking vibe, right, Like I love her.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Her body looked bang and she was so chic. Her
- 13:52Speaker 1: hair was like down and flawless, and she was like
- 13:55Speaker 1: so we were on the couch and she was sitting
- 13:57Speaker 1: she was in the middle of me and the girl,
- 13:58Speaker 1: but she was kind of like, you know, laid out
- 14:01Speaker 1: on one arm like towards me. She's like, no, no, sorry, babe,
- 14:06Speaker 1: m M, we don't have that. And then I made
- 14:09Speaker 1: the mom joke of like cocacola got pictures full.
- 14:13Speaker 4: The fact that she didn't laugh makes it so much funnier.
- 14:16Speaker 1: No, she she moved on on her way to the
- 14:20Speaker 1: next cabana.
- 14:22Speaker 4: That's wild, but that's still like And what I.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Don't understand is a lot of drugs are laced with
- 14:29Speaker 1: fentanyl right.
- 14:29Speaker 4: Now exactly, That's what I meant by dangerous.
- 14:33Speaker 1: It's really scary. Anyway, how did we get on this vague?
- 14:36Speaker 4: Very sorry?
- 14:37Speaker 1: Now that we all know where Lalla.
- 14:39Speaker 4: Stands, wait on a brighter note, So you had that
- 14:42Speaker 4: wild experience with the girl.
- 14:44Speaker 1: With the wild experience with the girl, we have the
- 14:46Speaker 1: best days.
- 14:47Speaker 4: So you have fun though in the cabana, Yes with
- 14:50Speaker 4: the girls.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Yes, one other dark story. Welcome to Vegas. I look
- 14:55Speaker 1: across the pool and there is this fine like he
- 14:58Speaker 1: is so hot, okay right, tall tattoos everywhere, super hot.
- 15:06Speaker 1: The waitress, the bottle service girl is in the cabana,
- 15:11Speaker 1: like taking care of us. She's so cute, so nice.
- 15:13Speaker 1: I was like, that dude is fine. She is the
- 15:16Speaker 1: guy across the pool. I said, yes, who is that?
- 15:19Speaker 1: And she said he beat the shit out of my friend.
- 15:22Speaker 1: And I was like, and we're done. Whoa so this
- 15:27Speaker 1: is what I have to look forward to. Women asking
- 15:29Speaker 1: me for cocaine, and men hot men across the pool
- 15:31Speaker 1: that are like, why are you not in jail? Why
- 15:34Speaker 1: are you at tau Beach Club?
- 15:35Speaker 2: Right?
- 15:35Speaker 4: Also, good for you, bottle service girl. Tell all of
- 15:39Speaker 4: the women that he doesn't get another woman out for
- 15:41Speaker 4: the rest of his life. Tell them all yeah.
- 15:44Speaker 1: And after that, I was like, you are ugly.
- 15:47Speaker 4: Yeah, yes, okay, so two dark things happened in Vegas,
- 15:54Speaker 4: But what about the bright.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Things, the bridal things, The brighter things are very bright? Okay,
- 16:00Speaker 3: we go to Lisa's event, right, we're feeling cute, We're
- 16:05Speaker 3: feeling fabulous.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Arianna got this like so cute. Alice and Olivia look right,
- 16:10Speaker 1: so cute. When Arianna gets drunk, there is no one
- 16:16Speaker 1: more fun, Nobody who's more of a vibe. I don't
- 16:20Speaker 1: know Katie each other, but I look over because we
- 16:25Speaker 1: find a spot in the back corner of the restaurant
- 16:28Speaker 1: and we literally sit down at eight thirty and we
- 16:30Speaker 1: don't leave until eleven thirty. Okay, we didn't move.
- 16:33Speaker 4: But that's the move.
- 16:35Speaker 1: But that's my vibe. Yeah, I'm not trying to work
- 16:37Speaker 1: the room. No, you can come to me, Yeah, so
- 16:40Speaker 1: that was us. I'll go over it, are you? Oh no,
- 16:46Speaker 1: she has a drink in hand, right, being fabulous is
- 16:49Speaker 1: ever And her skirt is like hiked over her underwing
- 16:54Speaker 1: and she knows, she fucking knows.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Wait her underwear is hiked over her skirt.
- 16:59Speaker 1: No wait, like her her skirt is higged so far
- 17:02Speaker 1: up that her underwear is just out, and she knows
- 17:06Speaker 1: because she's like, oh my god, it keeps doing that.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I'm like, of fixing it.
- 17:11Speaker 4: I'm like, she's so cool, that's just like care free.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Like I don't. And she was getting in that zone
- 17:18Speaker 1: of like where her eyes kind of closed a little
- 17:21Speaker 1: bit and she uses her hands a lot, and she's
- 17:24Speaker 1: like no, no, fuck that, fuck that, and then telling
- 17:30Speaker 1: me like Brad Pitt single, and I'm like, oh, Brad Pitt,
- 17:34Speaker 1: that's who you need. He's looking for love, that's you
- 17:37Speaker 1: need to be with him. Oh my god, he's really accessible.
- 17:39Speaker 1: I think that super excited you want to slide in
- 17:42Speaker 1: anyone's d ms.
- 17:43Speaker 4: Brad Pitt, No.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Way, I looked. I was like, I don't think he
- 17:46Speaker 1: has an Instagram And her friend's like, maybe he has
- 17:49Speaker 1: a fence style. I was like, what the fuck is.
- 17:51Speaker 4: That maybe he has a fin style.
- 17:52Speaker 1: So I learned that that's a fake Instagram.
- 17:54Speaker 4: Well, Kim Kardashian just brought it up on episode two
- 17:57Speaker 4: of The Kardashians which aired last week or some thing. Yeah,
- 18:00Speaker 4: she had a Finsta and then she was like and
- 18:02Speaker 4: then I was over it. And then I realized finsas
- 18:04Speaker 4: weren't cool or said.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Something, and then I highly doubt that you're still sticking
- 18:07Speaker 1: your ass off.
- 18:09Speaker 4: Okay, so you had a great time with the girls,
- 18:11Speaker 4: you went home alone?
- 18:13Speaker 1: I went, well, No, we like went out and about yeah,
- 18:15Speaker 1: to like a little lounge at the Cosmo.
- 18:19Speaker 4: It was that night, girl, It's no exciting.
- 18:22Speaker 1: No, I like, we stayed out until almost four in
- 18:26Speaker 1: the morning, and I was like, this is when Laala
- 18:29Speaker 1: turns into dead fish.
- 18:31Speaker 4: I've heard that there's like a different They like pumped
- 18:34Speaker 4: the casinos with oxygen so you don't get tired. It's
- 18:37Speaker 4: tired quickly. That might be completely false, though, No.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I did feel like when we were heading back to
- 18:45Speaker 1: our hotel, Arian was like, I could get another drink somewhere.
- 18:48Speaker 1: I was like, I'm four, I'm done. I'm fucking done. Yeah,
- 18:52Speaker 1: Like I need to wash my face off, like I'm
- 18:55Speaker 1: sick of this outfit. I want my sweats on, I
- 18:57Speaker 1: need to feel I need to be back in my
- 18:59Speaker 1: natural habitat.
- 19:00Speaker 4: But I want to give you a round of applause
- 19:01Speaker 4: or saying out until four.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Oh no. I literally was like hanging with the best
- 19:06Speaker 1: of them.
- 19:07Speaker 4: That's so fun, so amazing. Another question I have is
- 19:11Speaker 4: I saw a couple of things that was like things
- 19:14Speaker 4: online that were like Laala and Katie perusing or something
- 19:18Speaker 4: to the effect of, like Laala and Katie are like
- 19:22Speaker 4: perusing for men together or something.
- 19:24Speaker 1: You were pro Where.
- 19:26Speaker 4: Did they get that from? Did you like me?
- 19:27Speaker 1: Guy said it?
- 19:29Speaker 4: Stop where?
- 19:29Speaker 1: Yes, Katie is my sister wife.
- 19:32Speaker 4: Oh my god, So you got that's funny on the prowl.
- 19:36Speaker 1: That's what I was on the prowl, honey, Okay, okay,
- 19:40Speaker 1: we were looking for it.
- 19:44Speaker 4: That's great because I looked at that and I was like,
- 19:46Speaker 4: where would they get that from? Well, from La La.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Or the open book? The open book me. Sometimes I
- 19:52Speaker 1: say things and then I walk away, which I did
- 19:55Speaker 1: during press Yeah for vander Pump. Okay, that's what it was.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Always walk away, and then I call my publicist and
- 20:02Speaker 1: I'm like, why can't I shut the fuck up?
- 20:04Speaker 4: Well, did you regret saying that or no?
- 20:07Speaker 1: No, But let's talk about this real quick. Because I'm
- 20:10Speaker 1: on the carpet doing press whatever, if you listen to
- 20:14Speaker 1: my podcast, if you follow me on Graham whatever, I've
- 20:21Speaker 1: stopped talking about certain things. Why because I'm bored with it.
- 20:27Speaker 1: I don't want to talk about it anymore. That is
- 20:30Speaker 1: not my life. But I make a living off of
- 20:34Speaker 1: being an open book. So when I do press and
- 20:36Speaker 1: people ask me questions, I just answer I haven't conquered
- 20:39Speaker 1: the like next question, please, Like I feel rude, yes,
- 20:44Speaker 1: you know, yeah, because I know I'm a reality TV personality.
- 20:47Speaker 1: It's not like I'm Angelina Joli where I'm like, that's
- 20:50Speaker 1: a stupid question. Asked me about the movie that I'm
- 20:54Speaker 1: about to win an oscar for.
- 20:56Speaker 2: You know.
- 20:56Speaker 1: That's so I feel rude. If you are a rough,
- 21:00Speaker 1: poor tour and you're listening to my podcast, stop asking
- 21:05Speaker 1: me about certain things because I'm gonna I don't want
- 21:10Speaker 1: to talk about it anymore. I'm bored. The horses like
- 21:13Speaker 1: bleeding dead. Let it rest in peace. I'm over it. Yeah,
- 21:20Speaker 1: I don't want to talk about it anymore. Yeah, because
- 21:22Speaker 1: I'm bored with it.
- 21:23Speaker 4: It's old news. You know, it's old, it's dated, it's
- 21:26Speaker 4: it's so dated exciting things happening.
- 21:31Speaker 1: I have so much exciting shit happening in my world. No,
- 21:35Speaker 1: I'm not getting laid right now. But that's also like boring,
- 21:39Speaker 1: you know, like there's gonna be a day where that's
- 21:43Speaker 1: like all I'm doing, and we can talk about it
- 21:46Speaker 1: until then. Ask me about my kid, ask me about
- 21:50Speaker 1: my life as like I don't know a national best
- 21:53Speaker 1: selling author during a pandemic. Yeah, my tour, my podcast,
- 22:00Speaker 1: the thing. You can ask me about so many things
- 22:02Speaker 1: because I have so much shit going on. Don't ask
- 22:05Speaker 1: me about something that's boring.
- 22:06Speaker 4: Ask her about her her friends, her castmates, the crew.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Totally. Yeah, so there's that. Had a great time in Vegas.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Yesterday was Summer Moon's birthday party. Oh no, over the
- 22:21Speaker 1: weekend was Summer Moon's birthday party. Okay, it was fantastic
- 22:25Speaker 1: and beautiful. Brock is teaching Ocean how to put her
- 22:30Speaker 1: head underwater. He was like blowing bubbles. It's so cute.
- 22:33Speaker 1: She she did it. I have to post the video.
- 22:35Speaker 4: You put her head underwater. Okay, wait, so she.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Put like her little mouth like this because Summer Moon
- 22:40Speaker 1: goes fully underwater.
- 22:41Speaker 4: She does oh totally, well does she do the Have
- 22:43Speaker 4: you ever seen the swimming instructors with babies, yes, where
- 22:47Speaker 4: they like them. It terrifies me.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Yes, but Summer Moon can do it.
- 22:51Speaker 4: Does she Is it from an instructor or no, she's
- 22:53Speaker 4: her dad. Oh my god.
- 22:55Speaker 1: So Brock had Ocean in the pool yesterday and obviously
- 22:59Speaker 1: I took a video. I'll definitely post that video. And
- 23:02Speaker 1: I just like, I think it's so cute because I
- 23:05Speaker 1: feel like we're all gonna be friends forever, and I
- 23:07Speaker 1: want when Ocean's older to see like I have pictures
- 23:10Speaker 1: of me with my friend's dads, like when we're little kids,
- 23:13Speaker 1: like the two of us, me and my best friend
- 23:15Speaker 1: with their dad, and it just shows like, whoa, we
- 23:18Speaker 1: go back real far. Yes, I just want those moments.
- 23:22Speaker 4: That's really sweet. And it was so it's Ocean's birthday,
- 23:25Speaker 4: and then shortly after cruise and then shortly after.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Summer yeah, and summer before Ocean is Hartford.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Whoa, Yes, that's really sweet.
- 23:35Speaker 1: And can I tell you I roll out of the
- 23:37Speaker 1: party and there was the guy, the same one the
- 23:41Speaker 1: paparazzi guy.
- 23:42Speaker 4: Oh my god.
- 23:43Speaker 1: So I rolled up on him and he sees me coming.
- 23:47Speaker 1: He's like, what's up, La La? Like what the fuck
- 23:50Speaker 1: do you want?
- 23:51Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 23:52Speaker 1: I was like, I want to say that I'm so sorry.
- 23:54Speaker 1: I had nothing to do with you that day, Like
- 23:56Speaker 1: I was just in a funk, Like you want to
- 24:00Speaker 1: know what's so crazy is? I talked to my partner
- 24:03Speaker 1: and I was like something had to have happened that
- 24:06Speaker 1: day because Lalla was not the Lalla that we know.
- 24:10Speaker 1: He was like, You're always so cool and so friendly,
- 24:13Speaker 1: and I was like, I'm I have been thinking about
- 24:16Speaker 1: it. It has happened.
- 24:18Speaker 4: How great is it that you got that chance to
- 24:21Speaker 4: say apologize.
- 24:22Speaker 1: I know I've been sitting on it. I'm like, I
- 24:25Speaker 1: hope that I see him again because that is not me.
- 24:28Speaker 1: And I told him. He was like, I know we
- 24:30Speaker 1: can be annoying, and I'm like, you're not annoying Without
- 24:32Speaker 1: you guys, like I don't have relevance, and he was like,
- 24:34Speaker 1: well that's not true, and I said it is like
- 24:37Speaker 1: I appreciate what you guys do and you never annoy me.
- 24:39Speaker 1: But that day it had nothing to do with you.
- 24:42Speaker 1: I was just on some other shit. He was like, well,
- 24:45Speaker 1: I'm going to tell tell my business partner that that's
- 24:48Speaker 1: not business partner. But he said my partner, I think
- 24:50Speaker 1: that they like do a duo with photographs. Okay, So
- 24:53Speaker 1: like I'm going to tell him that what we suspected
- 24:55Speaker 1: is true and you don't have to tell me what
- 24:57Speaker 1: you were going through.
- 24:58Speaker 4: Oh thank you have the best stay Now. That is
- 25:02Speaker 4: the bright note we needed after the after the Vegas
- 25:08Speaker 4: dark experiences. That's great.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Does my Vegas trip sound dark? Didn't know it doesn't.
- 25:14Speaker 1: I mean, it doesn't it. But for how long was
- 25:17Speaker 1: I there was that? Forty three? Yeah?
- 25:20Speaker 4: Or I was gonna say three days, but you weren't.
- 25:22Speaker 4: It was three days total, so yeah, you were there
- 25:24Speaker 4: for like forty eight hours.
- 25:25Speaker 1: It was quick.
- 25:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:26Speaker 1: So out of those hours there were tiny little moments
- 25:30Speaker 1: of like, y'all.
- 25:31Speaker 4: Are crazy and look it's Vegas. It could have gotten
- 25:33Speaker 4: a lot darker, so it could have. Yeah, good for you.
- 25:37Speaker 1: I also met a guy in Vegas who told me
- 25:39Speaker 1: that his his dad is like a big wig big
- 25:43Speaker 1: wig big wig. Yeah, okay, whoa I'm using like really
- 25:47Speaker 1: old school?
- 25:49Speaker 4: Wait, well why was he like the kind of guy who.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Not at all? He's like his dad is actually a
- 25:53Speaker 1: big wig there and he was like, yeah, my dad
- 25:56Speaker 1: has really incredible clients that come in some times they
- 26:00Speaker 1: want hookers. And I was like how He was like,
- 26:03Speaker 1: you can find them everywhere.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:05Speaker 1: And I was like, are there any here right now?
- 26:08Speaker 2: Where are they?
- 26:11Speaker 1: So we walked around this bar. No, and he was
- 26:13Speaker 1: like that for sure. I was like, but she looks
- 26:16Speaker 1: so nice and he was like, doesn't matter. Everyone has
- 26:19Speaker 1: the type.
- 26:19Speaker 4: Everyone has them giving the Are they sitting alone?
- 26:22Speaker 1: Are they?
- 26:22Speaker 2: Like?
- 26:23Speaker 1: Yeah, there were that were sitting alone. There were some
- 26:26Speaker 1: that I was like, like, there was this tall, lurpy
- 26:29Speaker 1: white guy with like glasses and he was with someone
- 26:32Speaker 1: who was like had piercings all over her face, like
- 26:36Speaker 1: really tight skinny clothing and she was and I was
- 26:40Speaker 1: like this one. You don't even need to tell me, Like.
- 26:42Speaker 4: But isn't it legal in Vegas or no?
- 26:44Speaker 1: To be a hooker? I think so, I don't know.
- 26:48Speaker 4: I might be wrong, I always thought because I I
- 26:50Speaker 4: remember being like nineteen and walking down the street with
- 26:54Speaker 4: like my in Vegas with my group of guy friends,
- 26:57Speaker 4: and people were handing them cards of women like car
- 27:01Speaker 4: and it was like not some shady back alley, this
- 27:04Speaker 4: was like the main strip.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Then maybe because I know in Vegas you can totally
- 27:08Speaker 1: pay for like low jobs and lift dances in a
- 27:11Speaker 1: strip club. Right.
- 27:12Speaker 4: They never hired the women, by the way, but they
- 27:14Speaker 4: got the cards.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Well, yeah, they just throw them at anybody. Yeah, interest which,
- 27:18Speaker 1: by the way, can I tell you Vegas My favorite
- 27:21Speaker 1: thing about Vegas is not the going out part. It's
- 27:23Speaker 1: being in a fabulous hotel room with a fabulous bathroom
- 27:27Speaker 1: and room service.
- 27:28Speaker 4: And the beautiful view. Did you get a good view?
- 27:30Speaker 1: I got an ok vw okay view? Okay.
- 27:32Speaker 4: Have you ever gone on the the circular? I want
- 27:35Speaker 4: to call it a Ferris wheel, but it's not because
- 27:37Speaker 4: you're like in and enclosed.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Yeah I haven't done that. But you like the just.
- 27:42Speaker 4: The being well, of course that's very you being able
- 27:45Speaker 4: to light.
- 27:46Speaker 1: And I keep thinking, I keep thinking, like you need
- 27:49Speaker 1: to go out and about and like be a human.
- 27:52Speaker 1: And I did go out and about and I loved it.
- 27:54Speaker 1: It was great. But I now see, like I I
- 27:57Speaker 1: just enjoy I'm a homebody.
- 27:59Speaker 4: Yeah what you like?
- 28:00Speaker 1: Yeah, and fight it, don't fight it.
- 28:03Speaker 4: You're thirty one. I'm thirty.
- 28:04Speaker 1: By the way, the guy texted me, what guy the
- 28:07Speaker 1: guy who was come over, no, the other guy, remember
- 28:11Speaker 1: you got Okay, So there's a throwback guy, the throwback
- 28:14Speaker 1: guy that was very quick to say come over at
- 28:18Speaker 1: like eleven pm at night, yeah, or let me come
- 28:20Speaker 1: over yeah. Okay.
- 28:22Speaker 4: So what did he say?
- 28:24Speaker 1: He said, hey, and I don't save numbers. I just
- 28:27Speaker 1: I text and delete and if you never hit me
- 28:29Speaker 1: up again, like I have no way of contacting you,
- 28:31Speaker 1: and we just will never speak again. Okay. And so
- 28:34Speaker 1: I was like, who is this? And then he told me.
- 28:37Speaker 1: I was like, oh, what's up. He was like, just
- 28:40Speaker 1: seeing what your plans are for the weekend. I said,
- 28:42Speaker 1: I don't have any baby, that's my plan, my plan okay.
- 28:48Speaker 1: And then he said that he may have a birthday
- 28:50Speaker 1: to go tom And this is where I said, oh,
- 28:57Speaker 1: that sounds like a lot of fun. Let me know.
- 28:59Speaker 1: But I'm like, let me know if you have free time.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:02Speaker 1: But I think he took it as let me know
- 29:04Speaker 1: if we're going to it, because he was like, oh
- 29:06Speaker 1: my bad. I meant like stop. I was like, I know,
- 29:11Speaker 1: I said that sounds like you'll have fun. Yes, let
- 29:14Speaker 1: me know if you're free, which, by the way, don't
- 29:17Speaker 1: let me know if you're free.
- 29:19Speaker 4: I'm just being polite.
- 29:20Speaker 1: I'm just being nice.
- 29:21Speaker 2: You know.
- 29:22Speaker 1: I could be like a dude and just be like
- 29:24Speaker 1: not engage with you. Yeah. He texted back for show
- 29:28Speaker 1: and I said nothing back. I was like, all right,
- 29:31Speaker 1: I have a great day.
- 29:31Speaker 4: I have a good Thanks for letting me know you're
- 29:33Speaker 4: going to the birthday.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Nothing in here for you, all right, nothing in here
- 29:39Speaker 1: for you. But it's good to know that when I'm
- 29:41Speaker 1: good and ready, you can be that guy.
- 29:44Speaker 4: Yeah, Yeah, there we go.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Because he's pretty hot, is he.
- 29:49Speaker 4: Yeah, And maybe he can be the guy. But he
- 29:53Speaker 4: was a little too quick on the trigger. Maybe this
- 29:55Speaker 4: other DM guy who we don't know, who's a mystery,
- 29:57Speaker 4: the TV guy can.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Be the guy. Maybe he can be the guy.
- 30:01Speaker 4: Are you able to say if he lives around here?
- 30:04Speaker 1: He sometimes lives around here.
- 30:06Speaker 4: Okay, so he travels. We're getting more and more clues,
- 30:09Speaker 4: you guys. I'm just gonna keep pushing. Maybe you can ask.
- 30:12Speaker 1: No, I don't want anyone to know. But Katie and
- 30:17Speaker 1: I were talking to one of our producers at vander Pump. Yeah,
- 30:21Speaker 1: and Katie was like, well, Lata slid into someone's d
- 30:24Speaker 1: M La La La Lah and goes off and says
- 30:27Speaker 1: how we saw him whatever, And our producer was like, wait,
- 30:31Speaker 1: what's his name? And I was like, what the fuck
- 30:33Speaker 1: is his name? Again? Except for ho?
- 30:36Speaker 4: Also, you said his name. You don't think they're gonna.
- 30:39Speaker 1: No producer, producer will not do anything like that.
- 30:43Speaker 2: No.
- 30:44Speaker 4: My thing was like when vander Pump gets picked up
- 30:47Speaker 4: for another season. I was gonna say, you don't think
- 30:49Speaker 4: they're gonna push that in.
- 30:51Speaker 1: No, I think because producer, yea producer. Man, we won't
- 30:55Speaker 1: say which one it was. He's like that, and he
- 30:59Speaker 1: responded and he started blushing. He told me everything about him.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Stop everything about him.
- 31:05Speaker 4: Oh, this is making me really interesting.
- 31:08Speaker 1: You know a lot about him.
- 31:10Speaker 4: Okay, I think I have some idea. It's not of
- 31:12Speaker 4: the person, but of the career.
- 31:14Speaker 1: It's not going anywhere. Okay, I already know, Well, we
- 31:18Speaker 1: don't know, we do we do. There's certain people with
- 31:21Speaker 1: certain jobs that I'm like, you know what this like,
- 31:26Speaker 1: this is a deal breaker for me, and I have
- 31:29Speaker 1: to assume more times than not, this job description entails
- 31:34Speaker 1: certain things. Yeah, it's not going anywhere.
- 31:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I can see that. But in any job, there
- 31:40Speaker 4: are always the the what's the word I'm looking for,
- 31:45Speaker 4: like the people who don't act like that.
- 31:47Speaker 1: My brain is like fried right now, you guys an anomaly?
- 31:50Speaker 4: Yeah, or like it's the there's a word whatever. There's exceptions,
- 31:57Speaker 4: an exception to the rule. Yes, I never know.
- 32:01Speaker 1: I don't know. I think there's so few and far
- 32:03Speaker 1: between that I don't like, I don't even want to
- 32:06Speaker 1: venture into something that. And my cute mom she's like,
- 32:10Speaker 1: and I know, I just don't want you to get
- 32:12Speaker 1: your heart broken because she's got her eye on someone
- 32:15Speaker 1: for me.
- 32:15Speaker 4: She does, yeah, and I know that person.
- 32:18Speaker 1: And it's yes, And she's like, and I'm like, that's
- 32:21Speaker 1: the type of guy that you date and marry.
- 32:23Speaker 4: Yeah, and just a great thing. Lisa knows the good ones.
- 32:27Speaker 1: She does. She has a great picker. And I'm like,
- 32:30Speaker 1: when that time comes, then if he's still available, then
- 32:34Speaker 1: maybe we can try something out. Because she's like, that's
- 32:38Speaker 1: the guy for you. I'm like, I just I can't
- 32:42Speaker 1: even like, I just don't want to bring him into
- 32:44Speaker 1: my world when I'm not there yet exactly. And that's
- 32:47Speaker 1: like you and you do you date and marry this
- 32:49Speaker 1: guy that I'm talking about. I agree. So when I
- 32:52Speaker 1: told her that I slid into someone else's damn. She
- 32:54Speaker 1: was like very concerned. She's like, I don't want you
- 32:56Speaker 1: to get your heart broken. I was like, my heart
- 32:58Speaker 1: isn't available to get broken.
- 32:59Speaker 4: Yeah, like at all, I'm just having fun. I'm talking,
- 33:03Speaker 4: I'm doing because that's the thing too. You don't want
- 33:05Speaker 4: to like, yeah, you don't want to get into anything
- 33:09Speaker 4: too fast, or maybe you do, who knows, I don't know.
- 33:12Speaker 4: I'm just saying things that I think and like it
- 33:15Speaker 4: might be like a it wouldn't be healthy maybe if
- 33:18Speaker 4: you got into something that was with someone that's like, oh,
- 33:21Speaker 4: this is endgame so soon.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Absolutely not.
- 33:25Speaker 4: Yeah, some people do. Some people do and it works,
- 33:28Speaker 4: you know. You see the people who it's like they
- 33:30Speaker 4: end a relationship and then a couple months later they're
- 33:33Speaker 4: remarried and it's like, oh my god, look this was
- 33:36Speaker 4: the true love. So it could happen. But in a
- 33:39Speaker 4: lot of cases I've seen like uh, oh, red flag, you.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Know, thank you. Yeah, And I'm not ignoring anything. Yeah,
- 33:46Speaker 1: So that's where I'm at. I know that we again
- 33:49Speaker 1: talk about this topic a lot, but this is my
- 33:51Speaker 1: life right now, and if you guys can relate. What's
- 33:54Speaker 1: the new phone number? Take a line.
- 33:56Speaker 4: Well, the new phone number, you guys, we are trying
- 33:58Speaker 4: to get it, so it's a little something more easy.
- 34:03Speaker 1: But the new number to call me and share all
- 34:07Speaker 1: of your dating advice where you met your man's is
- 34:11Speaker 1: four two four two five five nine to one three one.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Please call me, leave a message because this is this
- 34:20Speaker 1: is my life right now and I'm looking for people
- 34:22Speaker 1: to like share similar experiences. When we come back, we
- 34:27Speaker 1: have such a fun guest. I love this podcast. We
- 34:32Speaker 1: just fucking wing it.
- 34:33Speaker 4: Wing it and talk to incredible people. I know who
- 34:37Speaker 4: You're like, oh, we think this person's incredible, and then.
- 34:40Speaker 1: You the port of my life is inspiring. Yeah, I
- 34:43Speaker 1: just want to be fucking inspired.
- 34:45Speaker 4: Is this next guest inspiring to you?
- 34:47Speaker 1: One hundred percent? So today, Yes, she's incredibly inspiring. Her
- 34:53Speaker 1: name's Jenny Gay. She is this to me, someone who
- 35:00Speaker 1: you knew. She wasn't happy in what she was doing
- 35:03Speaker 1: and decided to make a change. And for some reason,
- 35:06Speaker 1: people who are brave enough to do that, because there's
- 35:11Speaker 1: not many. When you sink into comfortability, it's very hard
- 35:14Speaker 1: to pull yourself out. And she was like, fuck it,
- 35:18Speaker 1: so we're gonna hear her story. She is an author
- 35:22Speaker 1: of a book called How We Blend, which is a
- 35:24Speaker 1: children's book, and she just goes on to talk about
- 35:29Speaker 1: how she walked into toy stories and bookstores and realized
- 35:34Speaker 1: the life and relationship she was in was not being represented,
- 35:39Speaker 1: and so I want to talk to her about it.
- 35:40Speaker 1: How she so not only was she brave enough to
- 35:42Speaker 1: make a change to change her life up, but she
- 35:46Speaker 1: took it upon herself to make a change in other areas.
- 35:49Speaker 1: So when we come back, we have Jenny Gay. I
- 35:51Speaker 1: love you guys so much. Thanks for listening to me
- 35:53Speaker 1: talk about being single and not getting dick. It's the
- 35:56Speaker 1: mantra single no dick. Right back, we are back with
- 36:05Speaker 1: Jenny Day. I'm so excited to have you on.
- 36:08Speaker 2: How are you, Jenny, I'm awesome? How are you?
- 36:11Speaker 1: We are doing fantastic. I have to say I looked
- 36:17Speaker 1: you up, I did my research, and you're obviously very inspiring.
- 36:23Speaker 1: And you know, the moves that you've made throughout your
- 36:27Speaker 1: little lifetime are really amazing, and I just want you
- 36:33Speaker 1: to walk me through like where you were when you
- 36:38Speaker 1: decided like I'm moving from Canada to London at the
- 36:41Speaker 1: age of twenty seven, Like how you got to where
- 36:44Speaker 1: you are now.
- 36:45Speaker 2: So my move from Canada to London is not as
- 36:48Speaker 2: exciting as I would like it to be. But essentially,
- 36:53Speaker 2: I was in investor relations, so basically doing like communications IPOs
- 36:58Speaker 2: fundraising for publicly listed companies. Super boring, but I was
- 37:02Speaker 2: doing quite well at a young age, and it was
- 37:04Speaker 2: just basically boredom, to be honest. To get into more
- 37:07Speaker 2: detail about it, I was doing IR for gold mining
- 37:11Speaker 2: companies at the time. The gold price dropped and it
- 37:14Speaker 2: wasn't going to recover anytime soon. So I just thought,
- 37:16Speaker 2: you know, if I'm going to have any excitement in
- 37:19Speaker 2: my life, you know, maybe now is the time to
- 37:21Speaker 2: do that. My best friend and roommate at the time,
- 37:24Speaker 2: we just kind of said, like fuck it, let's let's
- 37:27Speaker 2: go and move to London and just like check it out,
- 37:30Speaker 2: see what works, see what drops. And it worked out,
- 37:33Speaker 2: and so that, you know, I wish that story was
- 37:35Speaker 2: a little bit more exciting. Probably more exciting would be
- 37:38Speaker 2: the move from London up north to countryside Cheshire when
- 37:44Speaker 2: I met my partner. But yeah, that's that's that the
- 37:47Speaker 2: Toronto to London story.
- 37:49Speaker 1: I ended up. I'm from Utah and I'm telling you
- 37:52Speaker 1: I moved to La because it was the biggest city
- 37:55Speaker 1: that was the closest to where I was from.
- 37:57Speaker 2: Fair enough.
- 37:58Speaker 1: So yeah, I mean you may not think it's exciting,
- 38:01Speaker 1: but I'm sitting here like that twenty seven. We're still
- 38:05Speaker 1: like we're young, and I feel like we're we're placed
- 38:09Speaker 1: in these boxes of what we're supposed to do. When
- 38:11Speaker 1: no one talks about you should do things that excite you,
- 38:14Speaker 1: you should do things that inspire you. It's more of like,
- 38:17Speaker 1: do something that's safe and that you earn a paycheck
- 38:20Speaker 1: and you can, you know, buy a home and get married.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Did did it? Like so my worst nightmare, worst nightmare nightmare?
- 38:30Speaker 2: Like some people holiday, I packed my shit up and
- 38:32Speaker 2: I moved Like right.
- 38:34Speaker 1: So, I mean, you're an entire vibe, and I have
- 38:37Speaker 1: to ask this. Before you met your partner, were you
- 38:42Speaker 1: dating men? Did you like? What was your like? It
- 38:45Speaker 1: was cookie cutter.
- 38:46Speaker 2: It was cookie collar girl.
- 38:47Speaker 1: All of the men, all of the men.
- 38:50Speaker 2: The men Smorgan's bored. No, it was yeah, I did.
- 38:54Speaker 2: I dated men. I didn't really like everyone's you know,
- 38:58Speaker 2: stories different in terms of their secucluidity whatnot. I didn't
- 39:02Speaker 2: even think about me having any other sexuality other than hetero.
- 39:07Speaker 2: For whatever reason, it's just it wasn't my experience. It
- 39:10Speaker 2: wasn't really what I was exposed to. I mean, like,
- 39:12Speaker 2: of course, like I went to drag shows, gay clubs, whatever.
- 39:15Speaker 2: I just didn't think it was me. I don't know why.
- 39:18Speaker 2: And actually there's a lot of women that I meet
- 39:21Speaker 2: in their thirty specifically like our bracket, like thirty to
- 39:26Speaker 2: forty that came out later in life they call it
- 39:30Speaker 2: like late to lesbian, that have a similar kind of
- 39:32Speaker 2: story where it was like, it wasn't really anything I
- 39:34Speaker 2: thought about until something sparked it and I thought about
- 39:38Speaker 2: it and then I was like, Okay, maybe that's what's missing.
- 39:40Speaker 1: And it was then that was And was it your partner?
- 39:44Speaker 1: Was it your partner that you have now that sparked it?
- 39:47Speaker 2: No, So, like all cards on the table, I think
- 39:50Speaker 2: when I moved from Toronto to London and I was
- 39:53Speaker 2: away from everyone that I knew, my family and not
- 39:56Speaker 2: that I don't have like a lovely, supportive, open family,
- 39:59Speaker 2: wasn't that at all. It's just for me. I think
- 40:02Speaker 2: getting away from like a whole life that i'd lived
- 40:06Speaker 2: and starting kind of fresh, I think gave me the
- 40:09Speaker 2: confidence to explore myself a little bit more without eyes
- 40:13Speaker 2: and judgment. And then once I started to explore it
- 40:17Speaker 2: a little bit more, I was like, yeah, this is
- 40:19Speaker 2: And so I did date. I dated lots of women
- 40:21Speaker 2: and you know, still a little bit of men. But
- 40:24Speaker 2: once I really kind of had that first relationship with
- 40:27Speaker 2: a woman, I was like, this is absolutely for me.
- 40:30Speaker 1: I love that was it. I mean, there's so many
- 40:34Speaker 1: times that I'm hanging out with my best friend and
- 40:36Speaker 1: I'm like, God, I so wish that we could just
- 40:39Speaker 1: have sex and totally dig it because emotionally, I see you.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, and there is there's such a thing
- 40:46Speaker 2: as being an emotional lesbian or a sexual lesbian.
- 40:49Speaker 1: Really wait, teach me about this.
- 40:52Speaker 2: So I do think that, like, there's a lot of
- 40:54Speaker 2: women who are emotional lesbians, and those are the women
- 40:57Speaker 2: who are like obsessive about their friendship with women, okay,
- 41:01Speaker 2: and then there's women who it's like, sexually, it's all
- 41:05Speaker 2: about women, but emotionally it's not.
- 41:09Speaker 1: Wow, I love that you just spilled that. Because I
- 41:13Speaker 1: am obsessed with my relationships with women. I surround myself
- 41:18Speaker 1: with women. I feel most comfortable with them, I feel
- 41:21Speaker 1: most bonded to them. Yeah, so you're making all of
- 41:24Speaker 1: the sense in the world. When did you meet she's
- 41:28Speaker 1: your wife? Correct, you're marriage girl. Oh my goshang shang,
- 41:34Speaker 1: I love it. Flash of the bling. When did the
- 41:36Speaker 1: two of you meet?
- 41:37Speaker 2: So we met in twenty sixteen in London, So I
- 41:41Speaker 2: was living in London. She was kind of going back
- 41:43Speaker 2: and forth because obviously she has her kids in Cheshires
- 41:47Speaker 2: as well as London. And we met on Tinder. Wow, yeah,
- 41:51Speaker 2: we swiped. You wiped, we swiped her.
- 41:55Speaker 1: Life, you swiped And how many dates did you go
- 41:59Speaker 1: on before? Or was like this is this is the one.
- 42:02Speaker 1: I only want to date her and the goal is
- 42:05Speaker 1: marriage with this person.
- 42:06Speaker 2: So I'm like a notorious not commitment ful. But I've
- 42:10Speaker 2: never been that girl who was like I want to
- 42:13Speaker 2: get married, I want to like lock it down, I
- 42:16Speaker 2: want to have kids. I want to a family.
- 42:17Speaker 1: Wait, even when you were living in Canada, even when
- 42:20Speaker 1: you were like in the cookie get, you still were
- 42:22Speaker 1: like not that wasn't you.
- 42:23Speaker 2: No, I was like career focused, travel, going out, yeah,
- 42:28Speaker 2: making money like that was kind of always having fun
- 42:32Speaker 2: my focus. It's I just was never that girl. And
- 42:36Speaker 2: when I met her, literally the first day or like
- 42:38Speaker 2: the first date. I remember we were at this bar
- 42:41Speaker 2: in London called Madison Rooftop Bar, and it's right in
- 42:44Speaker 2: front of Saint Paul's Cathedral. It has like the most
- 42:46Speaker 2: amazing view and you have to take an elevator up
- 42:50Speaker 2: to the top floor. And I felt like a school
- 42:53Speaker 2: arm because I was in like business attire, and she
- 42:56Speaker 2: these elevator doors opened and this like pint size like
- 43:01Speaker 2: little rockstar chick like gets the elevator and I was like, fuck,
- 43:06Speaker 2: like this is going to be a problem for me.
- 43:08Speaker 2: Like I knew right away it was going to be
- 43:09Speaker 2: a problem in a good way. And yeah, and we
- 43:13Speaker 2: like shut the bar down that night. And I messaged
- 43:16Speaker 2: my best friend Michelle the next day and I was like,
- 43:18Speaker 2: I think I might be screwed a little bit here.
- 43:20Speaker 1: I just got chills.
- 43:21Speaker 2: Yeah. I was like I want to see her like again,
- 43:25Speaker 2: and she's like really, like that's not like I was like, yeah, twice.
- 43:30Speaker 1: That's huge for you.
- 43:32Speaker 2: Twice yeah. Yeah. And then when I met her kids
- 43:35Speaker 2: and everything, like it just it just clicked like it
- 43:37Speaker 2: was for me. It was just instantaneously I knew that
- 43:40Speaker 2: not in like what capacity your relationship was going to
- 43:43Speaker 2: kind of take shape, but I knew that I wanted
- 43:46Speaker 2: her in my life in some capacity.
- 43:49Speaker 1: So she has two kids, yeah, and was she were
- 43:54Speaker 1: did she adopt? Did she have them on her own?
- 43:56Speaker 1: Was she with a man? No?
- 43:57Speaker 2: So she was married to a woman and they had
- 44:01Speaker 2: the children through IBS. Okay, actually the same doctor that
- 44:03Speaker 2: I'm using. I'm in LA right now currently doing IBS,
- 44:07Speaker 2: but we're using the same doctor. Wow. Yeah, he's amazing,
- 44:11Speaker 2: Like they're just the most gorgeous children. So I was like, yeah,
- 44:14Speaker 2: I'll do that again.
- 44:15Speaker 1: I mean, that had to have been I don't want
- 44:18Speaker 1: to use the word intimidating, but it had to have
- 44:20Speaker 1: been intimidating. I mean, you make this big move. You
- 44:24Speaker 1: were only dating men. Now you find this woman who
- 44:27Speaker 1: you want to see again, she has children. I mean,
- 44:31Speaker 1: was it scary that you were going to be a
- 44:35Speaker 1: step mom?
- 44:36Speaker 2: It was completely natural.
- 44:38Speaker 1: It was natural for me, natural.
- 44:39Speaker 2: Like for me with her, and I mean obviously I
- 44:42Speaker 2: dated loads of other women before her, but there's just
- 44:44Speaker 2: something about her and I that, like our chemistry, the
- 44:47Speaker 2: way that we just work together. And then the second
- 44:50Speaker 2: she introduced me to the children, and that dynamic got
- 44:52Speaker 2: brought in I was like, we're a unit, like and
- 44:55Speaker 2: I don't want to be away from the unit.
- 44:57Speaker 1: That is so beautiful. And when I when I say
- 44:59Speaker 1: is it's you know, I so often use words where
- 45:02Speaker 1: I've been a step mom before, and you know, it's
- 45:07Speaker 1: not scary for us being the step mom, but it
- 45:11Speaker 1: is in the sense where you're stepping into a role
- 45:13Speaker 1: where there's this very fine line that we have to
- 45:17Speaker 1: be aware of. But you love these you know kids
- 45:21Speaker 1: so much and you want to see them thrive in life,
- 45:23Speaker 1: but you always know that there's that boundary. And so
- 45:27Speaker 1: I'm always curious with other women and men who become stepparents,
- 45:32Speaker 1: like how the dynamic is in the home, And to
- 45:36Speaker 1: hear that it was just so natural for you is incredible.
- 45:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I think like, I'm not completely familiar with your situation,
- 45:44Speaker 2: but I feel like your step kids are a little
- 45:46Speaker 2: bit older.
- 45:46Speaker 1: Yeah, how old were the kids when you met them?
- 45:50Speaker 2: So the children were one and three, so I'm all
- 45:54Speaker 2: they know in terms of another parent. So for them,
- 45:57Speaker 2: they have three moms, they have three parents that are
- 46:01Speaker 2: all equal for them.
- 46:02Speaker 1: So you're now in this situation where you're a step mom,
- 46:07Speaker 1: and at what point in time because you're you. You
- 46:11Speaker 1: broke free from like a pretty like we said, cookie
- 46:14Speaker 1: cutter job to now you're living your best life.
- 46:18Speaker 2: The best life, right, the good things, yeah, all of.
- 46:22Speaker 1: The good things. I mean, I'm looking at you like
- 46:24Speaker 1: you look happy and free, and I want everything that
- 46:27Speaker 1: you have. Right now, you're walking down like aisles and
- 46:32Speaker 1: toy stores and you're realizing that you and your family,
- 46:37Speaker 1: who so many others are just like you, are not
- 46:40Speaker 1: being represented.
- 46:41Speaker 2: Absolutely in a very obvious way.
- 46:44Speaker 1: And this is this is a stupid question, and I
- 46:46Speaker 1: know the answer, but for a lot of my listeners,
- 46:49Speaker 1: what is what are the obvious ways that you see
- 46:51Speaker 1: that your community and many others, many other family units
- 46:56Speaker 1: are not represented.
- 46:58Speaker 2: It's not even an LGBTQ less thing. This is like
- 47:01Speaker 2: a blended family. Like anything that steps out of the
- 47:06Speaker 2: heteronormative nuclear family dynamic is very underrepresented. Now there's an
- 47:13Speaker 2: argument to say, like, oh, well, there's all of these
- 47:15Speaker 2: examples and I could name some of them right now
- 47:18Speaker 2: that aren't that do have representation of color and representation
- 47:23Speaker 2: of LGBTQ and blah blah blah, But you got to
- 47:26Speaker 2: dig for it, right, it's not mainstream, it's not like
- 47:30Speaker 2: you're not going to walk in to a shop in
- 47:33Speaker 2: the grocery store and you're going to see a book
- 47:35Speaker 2: about divorced parents who are black in Asian. You're just
- 47:39Speaker 2: not going to see it. So it's in every family
- 47:44Speaker 2: problem for me, because there's to me, the mainstream is
- 47:48Speaker 2: only really giving proper representation for one form of family,
- 47:52Speaker 2: and it's just not our experience anymore. Like fifty percent
- 47:56Speaker 2: of you know, marriages ending in divorce, and the fact
- 48:00Speaker 2: that there's step children and stepparents, you know, cousins, step cousins,
- 48:06Speaker 2: and lesbian families and gay families at a trans dynamic.
- 48:11Speaker 2: You know, there's all of these incredibly beautiful ways that
- 48:14Speaker 2: people could create and have families, and yet we're only
- 48:17Speaker 2: truly seeing one representation of that in mainstream.
- 48:21Speaker 1: No, You're absolutely right. And can I tell you the
- 48:23Speaker 1: first time I ever noticed this. So I, like I said,
- 48:28Speaker 1: I'm from Utah and my best friend, her aunt was
- 48:32Speaker 1: a lesbian and they were together since the time, like
- 48:36Speaker 1: I met them at the age of five, and they
- 48:39Speaker 1: both used IVF to get pregnant. Each of them had
- 48:43Speaker 1: a baby. And I always wondered when I would read
- 48:47Speaker 1: certain books or we would read in class how they
- 48:52Speaker 1: were going to be represented when their two kids had
- 48:55Speaker 1: to go to school like I was going to school.
- 48:57Speaker 2: Yep.
- 48:59Speaker 1: And you know, I'm grateful that the things that I
- 49:02Speaker 1: got to experience and witness when I was a child.
- 49:05Speaker 1: You know, as I grew up, there were things that
- 49:08Speaker 1: it was just like, Oh, I have friends that come
- 49:11Speaker 1: from you know, this dynamic or that dynamic, but not
- 49:15Speaker 1: everybody does. And I also think about the kid because
- 49:20Speaker 1: you know, like you said, fifty percent of marriages don't
- 49:25Speaker 1: work out. My child will never know what it's like
- 49:28Speaker 1: to have her parents be a couple. Now. Is that
- 49:32Speaker 1: a blessing that she's so young that she won't know
- 49:34Speaker 1: any different? Yes? But also when she goes to school,
- 49:40Speaker 1: what is she going to see or read that she's
- 49:43Speaker 1: going to feel like she can connect with?
- 49:45Speaker 2: Yeah? And you know what, the issue as well is
- 49:49Speaker 2: that you're not an exception to the rule. Neither am I.
- 49:53Speaker 2: Our children are living a reality that is not being
- 49:56Speaker 2: reflected in what they're reading and consuming and engaging with
- 50:00Speaker 2: every day. Now how confusing is that to a developing
- 50:04Speaker 2: psyche and you know, emotional sentient person. If everyone I'm
- 50:10Speaker 2: seeing and engaging with doesn't look like what I'm reading
- 50:14Speaker 2: or watching on television. It's a very confusing message. So
- 50:19Speaker 2: this is why, like we need more representation of reality.
- 50:23Speaker 1: Well you decided to take the bull by the balls
- 50:28Speaker 1: and do just that. Yes, so your very first book,
- 50:33Speaker 1: like you did you say like I'm seeing a lack
- 50:37Speaker 1: of this in bookstores toy stores, Like I'm going to
- 50:40Speaker 1: be the change and this is what I'm doing or
- 50:43Speaker 1: how did that idea evolve?
- 50:45Speaker 2: So it started off just wanting to write something for
- 50:47Speaker 2: my kids, my step kids, like something we could read
- 50:51Speaker 2: together every night. And I just kind of morphed into
- 50:56Speaker 2: a bigger idea in the sense that I was like,
- 50:59Speaker 2: we're not the only people. And also it's not just
- 51:03Speaker 2: about my kids reality, it's also about So I have
- 51:06Speaker 2: the books and stuff in some of the schools in
- 51:08Speaker 2: the UK, and I'm doing like a lot of kind
- 51:10Speaker 2: of talks across the schools as well, just about difference
- 51:14Speaker 2: and diversity. And it's not just about like, oh, this
- 51:16Speaker 2: child is adopted and therefore they should have representation in
- 51:20Speaker 2: the books that they're reading. It's about the kids who
- 51:24Speaker 2: who might be gay, not that their parents are gay.
- 51:27Speaker 2: It's about they might be gay. Or they might grow
- 51:30Speaker 2: up one day to adopt, And it's like just understanding
- 51:33Speaker 2: that there are multiple ways that you can be a
- 51:36Speaker 2: human and that you can live, and that you can
- 51:39Speaker 2: multiple way you can have a family. And so it's
- 51:42Speaker 2: not just about creating a reality that is their family,
- 51:46Speaker 2: but for them to be able to grow up to
- 51:48Speaker 2: know that they can be exactly who they are.
- 51:50Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, everything you're saying is giving me chills
- 51:54Speaker 1: because you're you're right, And I also I love that
- 51:57Speaker 1: you put out there because I often think, you know,
- 52:01Speaker 1: I'm a grown adult. I can handle certain things, but
- 52:05Speaker 1: like you said, for children, that is so confusing to
- 52:09Speaker 1: not be able to connect with something for child psyche.
- 52:14Speaker 1: How many books do you have right now?
- 52:16Speaker 2: So right now it's just the one book, but there's
- 52:18Speaker 2: two other books that I would like to publish that
- 52:21Speaker 2: are kind of like a series of three. So it's
- 52:23Speaker 2: six stories and one book, but then there's two subsequent
- 52:25Speaker 2: books I'd like to release that kind of bring in
- 52:27Speaker 2: different elements, like the various ways that different religions would
- 52:31Speaker 2: celebrate holidays, as well as socioeconomics as well, so the
- 52:35Speaker 2: fact that there'll be children in their class who parents
- 52:38Speaker 2: all have, you know, different amounts of money or whatever.
- 52:42Speaker 2: And they might celebrate summer holidays different so some might
- 52:44Speaker 2: have staycations. I might go to Europe, some might you
- 52:47Speaker 2: know whatever. And how all of those kind of you know,
- 52:51Speaker 2: intricacies of our lives and the differences that we have,
- 52:54Speaker 2: how that all works together.
- 52:56Speaker 1: It's beautiful and I'm so happy that that you're doing it.
- 53:00Speaker 1: And I can't believe that it just started with like
- 53:03Speaker 1: what a sweet story that you just like created these
- 53:06Speaker 1: stories for your step kids and thought there's a much
- 53:10Speaker 1: bigger picture here.
- 53:11Speaker 2: Absolutely. Yeah.
- 53:13Speaker 1: And how old are your step kids now?
- 53:15Speaker 2: They're eight and six?
- 53:16Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, that is you know, they're so cut
- 53:19Speaker 1: fun boy, these girls both.
- 53:22Speaker 2: So the oldest girl so, her name is Frankie Francesca,
- 53:26Speaker 2: and the youngest Harry he's or Harrison, he's six. Yeah,
- 53:29Speaker 2: and they're just so great because they're at those ages
- 53:31Speaker 2: where they're completely coming into their personalities and the stats
- 53:35Speaker 2: and like the you know, I just love it.
- 53:38Speaker 1: Well, and I've realized that kids come how they are, Like,
- 53:40Speaker 1: my my daughter is one, and you know, you you've
- 53:44Speaker 1: been around a one year old before. Yeah, I'm telling you, Jenny,
- 53:48Speaker 1: she will look me dead in my eyes at the
- 53:50Speaker 1: age of one. Like I don't need you, mama. I
- 53:53Speaker 1: am independent and there is not a thing I can
- 53:56Speaker 1: do about it.
- 53:57Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, Like you know nothing. That's that's how they
- 54:02Speaker 2: write you.
- 54:03Speaker 1: I know nothing, and I just know like, oh my gosh,
- 54:06Speaker 1: this is who she is. And as she gets older,
- 54:09Speaker 1: like her personality is from somewhere else.
- 54:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think it's somewhere else where. She got
- 54:16Speaker 2: from me.
- 54:18Speaker 1: No, I did this, but like I'm like, oh my gosh,
- 54:25Speaker 1: my poor mom. This is how she felt when I
- 54:27Speaker 1: was like I would call it karma. That is that's
- 54:30Speaker 1: exactly what it is. So now here you are, you're
- 54:34Speaker 1: in Los Angeles, how are you feeling? Because I know
- 54:38Speaker 1: IVF is no joke.
- 54:40Speaker 2: No joke. Yeah. So literally, my my medications descrive today.
- 54:44Speaker 1: Okay, the stuff pokey stuff. Yeah, how are you with shots?
- 54:49Speaker 2: Fine? So like that stuff doesn't that doesn't shake me,
- 54:53Speaker 2: Like that's like all puncture myself. It's fine. I'm more
- 54:57Speaker 2: concerned about what it's going to do to me. So
- 55:01Speaker 2: I don't want to be I'm not an overly emotional person.
- 55:05Speaker 2: So like the thought that I could be like sad
- 55:08Speaker 2: one minute and like super happy and like the next
- 55:12Speaker 2: just you know, scares me so that I'm.
- 55:16Speaker 4: Right, are you?
- 55:17Speaker 1: Are you a control freak?
- 55:19Speaker 2: Probably depends on who you talk to, who.
- 55:21Speaker 1: You who you ask Yeah, because I feel like everyone
- 55:24Speaker 1: that I've asked who is who has done IVF, They're
- 55:28Speaker 1: like the fact that I had zero control over how
- 55:31Speaker 1: I was feeling and I couldn't change it was like
- 55:35Speaker 1: very difficult.
- 55:36Speaker 2: Yeah. So I'm just you hear different varying stories, degrees
- 55:40Speaker 2: of how it affects if some women, you know, doesn't
- 55:43Speaker 2: really affect them all that much, some women gain weight,
- 55:45Speaker 2: some women, like you know, have mood swings. I'm just
- 55:49Speaker 2: going to release it and like see what.
- 55:52Speaker 1: Happens, release it into the atmosphere.
- 55:54Speaker 2: Absolutely, it's the only thing you can do. I'm likely
- 55:58Speaker 2: go on hikes and just you know, keep active and whatnot,
- 56:02Speaker 2: just to keep your brain clear.
- 56:04Speaker 1: Yeah. And is this the first time that you'll be
- 56:07Speaker 1: doing it the first round of like the shots and
- 56:10Speaker 1: all of that.
- 56:11Speaker 2: Yes, Yeah, so I've yeah, I've not done it before,
- 56:15Speaker 2: so I'm I'm a little bit scared. But it was
- 56:19Speaker 2: really overwhelming because I was just expecting like a little
- 56:22Speaker 2: you know, FedEx box or whatever to arrive and it
- 56:24Speaker 2: be like, oh, here's your needles and your injections and whatever.
- 56:27Speaker 2: This thing was a mahosive box packed with like ice
- 56:33Speaker 2: packs and all this kind of stuff, and it was
- 56:35Speaker 2: huge and I have to like put it all in
- 56:37Speaker 2: the fridge. And I was like, well, it was so overwhelming.
- 56:40Speaker 2: It's like nobody prepared me for that. Like that's not
- 56:43Speaker 2: what I was expecting. So I'm sure there's going to
- 56:46Speaker 2: be loads of stuff like that along the way. So
- 56:48Speaker 2: I'm just going to kind of take it as it comes.
- 56:50Speaker 1: Take it as it comes, and I'm just so excited
- 56:52Speaker 1: for your journey.
- 56:54Speaker 2: I mean, thank you me too.
- 56:56Speaker 1: So when how many shots do you have to do
- 56:59Speaker 1: before it's like we're ready?
- 57:01Speaker 2: So I think it depends. So you do I'm doing
- 57:05Speaker 2: like one week, and then you go in for stance
- 57:08Speaker 2: and they kind of check things out just to see
- 57:10Speaker 2: how you're progressing okay, and then from there they can
- 57:12Speaker 2: add more meds or keep you on whatever you're on.
- 57:16Speaker 1: They check the levels, check.
- 57:17Speaker 2: The levels, all that kind of stuff, so it can
- 57:19Speaker 2: just it depends, but usually I think it takes about
- 57:23Speaker 2: two or three weeks and then like towards the end
- 57:25Speaker 2: of the third week. I believe it's and that's when
- 57:28Speaker 2: they do the egg retrieval. Then they do the they
- 57:31Speaker 2: create the embryos with their sperm donor.
- 57:33Speaker 1: And yeah, I'm so excited for you.
- 57:36Speaker 2: I know, it's crazy what they can do. Like honestly,
- 57:40Speaker 2: it's like it's magic. I know, like science is magic.
- 57:43Speaker 2: It's insane.
- 57:44Speaker 1: I'm so glad you said that that science is magic
- 57:47Speaker 1: because can I tell you when when I sit here
- 57:50Speaker 1: and I talk about like how my baby was made
- 57:53Speaker 1: and all of the like mumbo jumbo that these like
- 57:57Speaker 1: doctors spew at me about science, I'm like, no, this
- 58:00Speaker 1: is a miracle. But science is a miracle. So there
- 58:03Speaker 1: you it is.
- 58:04Speaker 2: It is. Yeah, It's like it's honestly, it's such a
- 58:06Speaker 2: privilege that I get to, you know, experience it and
- 58:09Speaker 2: do it. And that's just kind of why I'm not
- 58:11Speaker 2: gonna stress too much about it and I'm just going
- 58:14Speaker 2: to take it as it comes and you know, do
- 58:16Speaker 2: my best to make it a success. Yeah.
- 58:19Speaker 1: Well, I am so excited for you. I'm so excited
- 58:23Speaker 1: that I had you on the podcast. And where can
- 58:26Speaker 1: people find you and like share your journey or you know,
- 58:31Speaker 1: join your journey, And where can we get the book.
- 58:34Speaker 2: So you can get the book online at Amazon okay.
- 58:37Speaker 2: So it's called how We Blend, so literally, the little
