- 0:03Speaker 1: Welcome to the NFL Daily, where we're picking games for
- 0:07Speaker 1: the very last time in the twenty twenty six twenty
- 0:10Speaker 1: five season, whatever you want to call it. I'm Greg Rosenthal.
- 0:13Speaker 1: I'm with Cynthia Freeland. I'm on stage five. We just
- 0:16Speaker 1: taped what could be our last game debut ever. Who
- 0:19Speaker 1: knows this company. There's a lot going on right now,
- 0:23Speaker 1: but we've been doing that show picking games together for
- 0:26Speaker 1: seven years. We've been doing a podcast picking games against
- 0:30Speaker 1: the spread for two and it really bothered me. Cynthia,
- 0:33Speaker 1: I don't know if you remember this. We never actually
- 0:35Speaker 1: picked the super Bowl last year.
- 0:36Speaker 2: I do remember that. People complained. I'm glad they complained.
- 0:40Speaker 2: I was one of those people. Actually I used a
- 0:42Speaker 2: berner just getting on dorning out, But if I did,
- 0:45Speaker 2: I would have done the same thing.
- 0:47Speaker 3: But we needed to.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Pick the super Bowl, so I'm glad we're fixing that
- 0:49Speaker 2: this year, even if it may be our last one.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I think we thought, oh, well, we don't want to
- 0:53Speaker 1: spoil the pick early in the week and we'll find
- 0:56Speaker 1: you at Radio Row and it's like it gets complicated
- 1:00Speaker 1: to get down there, So who really cares.
- 1:01Speaker 4: Let's not be precious about her picks.
- 1:03Speaker 1: First of all, if you've been paying attention to this show,
- 1:06Speaker 1: you've been doing well.
- 1:07Speaker 4: And you saw that Synday and I both got.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Our picks right last week two and oh each. I'm
- 1:14Speaker 1: up to thirty eight and twenty four on the season.
- 1:16Speaker 1: I struggled in the playoffs, but at least the two
- 1:19Speaker 1: and oh championship round where we had the Broncos covering,
- 1:22Speaker 1: and I threaded that needle. I said, Patriots win, Broncos
- 1:24Speaker 1: covering nailed it. Got that one nailed it. We both
- 1:27Speaker 1: had the Seahawks. You have the Broncos covering as well,
- 1:29Speaker 1: so you're finishing strong. You've been playing, doing very well
- 1:32Speaker 1: in the playoffs.
- 1:33Speaker 2: I mean, I'm just looking at your overall season numbers,
- 1:36Speaker 2: and now.
- 1:37Speaker 1: You won the picks on game debut, you tied for
- 1:40Speaker 1: the overall in the playoffs, and so now you have
- 1:42Speaker 1: to let the people know. What does the model say
- 1:46Speaker 1: for Super Bowl sixty.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I've hurt your ears, my Patriot friend. I have the
- 1:50Speaker 2: Seahawks winning by more than four and a half points.
- 1:53Speaker 2: The thing I feel best about is a high scoring
- 1:54Speaker 2: game more than forty six and a half points, So
- 1:57Speaker 2: I feel strongest about that.
- 1:59Speaker 3: But I do feel all the model.
- 2:01Speaker 2: At least models feelings, you know, it's almost sentient. Now
- 2:05Speaker 2: the model feels that the Seattle Seahawks win.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Are you worried that the model might join that social
- 2:11Speaker 1: media where it's AI only bots, you know, just talking
- 2:16Speaker 1: to each other getting ready to take over?
- 2:18Speaker 3: Did you look at any of that stuff, because that's terrifying.
- 2:21Speaker 3: So human programs.
- 2:23Speaker 2: So there's one that's actually called the Humans are screenshotting Us,
- 2:25Speaker 2: which is like very interesting because.
- 2:28Speaker 4: Like human wrote that.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Obviously I don't know.
- 2:30Speaker 2: I'm afraid my model will kill me in my sleep,
- 2:32Speaker 2: but I'm not afraid it's going to drain.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Well, it isn't likes it's split out a seven point
- 2:35Speaker 1: win for the Seahox.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Note so six point win, okay, we yeah, that's right,
- 2:39Speaker 2: seven for Patrick I'm six yeah.
- 2:41Speaker 1: So still that's significant. That's a point and a half
- 2:44Speaker 1: over and that's a big number. So where does the
- 2:47Speaker 1: model kind of show the biggest mismatches?
- 2:50Speaker 4: Because I as a.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Patriots fan, and we'll get to me picking them because
- 2:53Speaker 1: it's obvious I'm going to in a second, I've started
- 2:56Speaker 1: to convince myself they shouldn't really be that big of
- 2:58Speaker 1: an underdog there's seventeen in three. They have a lot
- 3:01Speaker 1: of really high highs, but a six point margin for
- 3:04Speaker 1: a conservative modeler like yourself is a pretty big difference.
- 3:07Speaker 1: So where is the biggest difference where it sees a
- 3:09Speaker 1: problem for the Patriots.
- 3:10Speaker 2: The Patriots O line is the problem and not just
- 3:13Speaker 2: and again I don't care about Will Campbell's short arms.
- 3:15Speaker 2: It is not that that is actually not the issue.
- 3:18Speaker 2: The analytics people here that do ournnection SATs, they did
- 3:21Speaker 2: a fun thing on arm length. But for me, it's
- 3:23Speaker 2: more that since he returned from injury, he probably hasn't
- 3:26Speaker 2: been healthy, and he's surrendered like almost double the pressure rate,
- 3:30Speaker 2: a lot more sacks, like more than all the sacks
- 3:33Speaker 2: before he left. So I just don't think he's right.
- 3:36Speaker 2: And that's a huge deal at left tackle and being
- 3:38Speaker 2: a rookie, and being a rookie against the Seattle defense
- 3:41Speaker 2: who they don't even need to blitz to get pressure.
- 3:43Speaker 2: So now you're devoting resources to help him, You're bringing
- 3:47Speaker 2: a tight end to like all of these different things.
- 3:49Speaker 3: So now you're conceding numbers.
- 3:51Speaker 2: To the Seattle Seahawks defense is just going to make
- 3:53Speaker 2: it more difficult, and it's not like the right side
- 3:56Speaker 2: has been a shining example of right tackle play as well.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Being mean, I'm just.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Saying that it's not the tackles are an area of concern.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Morgan Moses is the more solid tackle of the two,
- 4:08Speaker 1: but there's a reason why he's been on one year contracts.
- 4:11Speaker 1: And then you're thinking about like interior, Jared Wilson is
- 4:14Speaker 1: a rookie and has had his struggles, Like Garrett Bradbury,
- 4:18Speaker 1: there's a reason why he didn't cost much in free agency,
- 4:20Speaker 1: and I think what you've seen in the playoffs is
- 4:22Speaker 1: they've gone against elite pass rushing groups.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Right.
- 4:26Speaker 1: The craziest thing is they could look at this group
- 4:29Speaker 1: and say, well, actually, compared to Houston and Denver and
- 4:33Speaker 1: maybe even the Chargers, they don't send a lot of pressure,
- 4:37Speaker 1: maybe not as dynamic one on one, although they're obviously
- 4:41Speaker 1: very good in terms of their defensive line. So they
- 4:44Speaker 1: have been put through the gauntlet of maybe four of
- 4:46Speaker 1: the best five pass rushers in the NFL, and maybe
- 4:49Speaker 1: they'll be a little more ready because, to be honest,
- 4:52Speaker 1: Benito's speed and the depth that the Texans have, especially
- 4:57Speaker 1: on the edge, like I was even more afraid of
- 4:59Speaker 1: that they survive that somehow okay.
- 5:01Speaker 2: But so part of the difference is so maybe maybe
- 5:05Speaker 2: Denver and Houston whatever, I will give it you, they're scarier
- 5:09Speaker 2: pass rush. But now you have to put things into
- 5:12Speaker 2: balance here. Is it how much different? Right? Because it's
- 5:15Speaker 2: not like the Patriots were like just narrowly getting like
- 5:19Speaker 2: they won the games obviously, right, but.
- 5:22Speaker 4: They're often stunk.
- 5:23Speaker 2: They went through the very defense really helped them, right,
- 5:26Speaker 2: So it's even if they settle down and they're a
- 5:29Speaker 2: little bit better against the Seahawks defense, which they forecast
- 5:33Speaker 2: to be, I think they can.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Get a little bit more push in the run game.
- 5:35Speaker 2: I will say that's where I think they'll get a little.
- 5:37Speaker 3: More push in the run game. But even even so,
- 5:40Speaker 3: is it enough is the question.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Yeah, we're going to break down the game at a
- 5:46Speaker 1: little more depth in terms of our preview on the
- 5:50Speaker 1: show that will go up Thursday night, and we're going
- 5:52Speaker 1: to include some current NFL.
- 5:54Speaker 4: Players in that mix and they'll help us pre Can
- 5:56Speaker 4: you tell me who I'm trying to think who's.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Involved in the preole, like Kendrick and some players that
- 6:01Speaker 1: have gone against these teams recently, all sides, I think
- 6:05Speaker 1: we're going to get Isaiah Likely who played against the
- 6:07Speaker 1: Patriots initially, and so we thought we would get some
- 6:10Speaker 1: players in the mix who have faced these teams to
- 6:13Speaker 1: give us some insight in Jordan Rodrigu and Nick Schuck
- 6:16Speaker 1: and I think are going to be talking about it
- 6:17Speaker 1: as well. So I don't want to go too deep
- 6:19Speaker 1: into like why I think this can happen, but ultimately,
- 6:23Speaker 1: like the Patriots defense has gone to a completely different.
- 6:28Speaker 4: Level in these playoffs.
- 6:30Speaker 1: They've performed like a top two or three type of defense.
- 6:34Speaker 1: They've gotten a lot of pressure. I do think the
- 6:36Speaker 1: Patriots have an advantage at quarterback. Ultimately, I do think
- 6:40Speaker 1: there could be a lot of variants in this game.
- 6:42Speaker 1: These are the two teams that have fumbled the most
- 6:44Speaker 1: in the entire NFL this season. The Seahawks were second
- 6:48Speaker 1: worst in the NFL in terms of turnovers in the
- 6:51Speaker 1: regular season. They haven't turned the ball over once. Now,
- 6:54Speaker 1: when you start immediately going to like variants turnovers, like
- 6:58Speaker 1: that's not the best sign.
- 7:00Speaker 4: That's like my main argument.
- 7:01Speaker 2: But the Patriots defense is kind of the same thing.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Right with the regular season, they weren't turning the ball
- 7:06Speaker 2: over fair and then in the postseason they've gone crazy
- 7:08Speaker 2: with They've gone crazy with us.
- 7:09Speaker 3: So who's truth and who's fugezy?
- 7:12Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 7:13Speaker 1: I think ultimately like you need Drake May to move
- 7:19Speaker 1: in the pocket and almost be unaware of his surroundings
- 7:22Speaker 1: in a way that Sam Donald would not be in
- 7:25Speaker 1: this particular game. Like both of these quarterbacks seem like
- 7:28Speaker 1: they have extremely high ceilings and pretty low floors.
- 7:31Speaker 4: And so where is that going to come out? Ultimately?
- 7:34Speaker 1: I think the biggest mismatch with Patriots can take advantage
- 7:37Speaker 1: of is the interior offensive line for the Seahawks.
- 7:41Speaker 4: We talked about it.
- 7:42Speaker 1: A little bit on game debut, Milton Williams, Christian Barmore
- 7:45Speaker 1: against Sundell and Anthony Bradford and even Gray's Abel sometimes
- 7:49Speaker 1: in past protection. That is something with a blitz plan
- 7:54Speaker 1: that's going to I think target the weaknesses of Seattle.
- 7:58Speaker 1: I'm not going to say Sam Donald is going to
- 7:59Speaker 1: be see in ghosts, but I do think sometimes like
- 8:04Speaker 1: you can tell what type of Sam Donald game it's
- 8:06Speaker 1: going to be pretty soon. And if you get him
- 8:09Speaker 1: not reacting as fast, moving through his progressions not as
- 8:12Speaker 1: fast like he did he was outstanding in the NFC Championship,
- 8:15Speaker 1: getting him to think a little bit. With some early pressure,
- 8:18Speaker 1: I could see him having maybe closer to that floor game.
- 8:22Speaker 2: I'm curious because there really is a lot of data
- 8:24Speaker 2: to support this one. I'm curious what you think about
- 8:26Speaker 2: facing two teams you faced before for your only two
- 8:28Speaker 2: postseason games versus facing team's novel teams. And we don't
- 8:33Speaker 2: see a lot of that, right, Like usually you don't
- 8:36Speaker 2: play your division rivals for two Sometimes we see a
- 8:39Speaker 2: three pet but I can't remember last time. I've seen
- 8:42Speaker 2: it twice, so I'm curious to see if that game
- 8:47Speaker 2: plan changed. Like, is it like I'm smarter because I've
- 8:51Speaker 2: seen these people twice before and now my third time,
- 8:54Speaker 2: I'm going to have an even better plan and Sam
- 8:56Speaker 2: Donald's more confident Or is it going to be like.
- 9:01Speaker 4: I guess I got to mix it up. I don't.
- 9:03Speaker 4: I love this.
- 9:04Speaker 3: This is a true question that I'm I'm not. I
- 9:06Speaker 3: don't have an answer.
- 9:07Speaker 4: This is one of my new pat theories.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Now.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I love this because I've kind of been toying with
- 9:11Speaker 1: thinking about it and now hearing someone as smart as
- 9:12Speaker 1: yourself throw it out. It's like Donald did feel like
- 9:15Speaker 1: he knew the answers to the tests against the Rams
- 9:17Speaker 1: in a way that maybe he wouldn't. He certainly did
- 9:19Speaker 1: in the first two times that they played, in a
- 9:21Speaker 1: way that he was comfortable with what he was seeing.
- 9:23Speaker 1: And to me, that's the story of Sam Donald's career.
- 9:26Speaker 1: He has it all, but mentally he's not always totally
- 9:31Speaker 1: confident in what he's seen and reacting as quickly Drake
- 9:34Speaker 1: may good or bad. He's out there playing and he's
- 9:38Speaker 1: almost a little too comfortable, and I don't think he's
- 9:40Speaker 1: going to hold the ball.
- 9:41Speaker 4: There was one.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Throat like ball where he didn't throw the ball in
- 9:45Speaker 1: the red zone against the Broncos. It was the third
- 9:47Speaker 1: down play before they kicked the go ahead field goal
- 9:49Speaker 1: in the snow that I was like, ooh, he never
- 9:51Speaker 1: turns that down.
- 9:52Speaker 4: That was rare out of him.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Ultimately, I think he's gonna like go down swinging if
- 9:57Speaker 1: he goes Sam Donald. On the other hand, I think
- 10:00Speaker 1: a brand new defensive game plan to have to go
- 10:02Speaker 1: against new players, will they mix it up?
- 10:05Speaker 4: Could that be the day?
- 10:06Speaker 2: I also need I also need you to come up
- 10:08Speaker 2: with like a funny, like witty banter about like something
- 10:13Speaker 2: there is something here about like Josh McDaniel's former coach
- 10:17Speaker 2: of the Raiders, got fired, went back and then Kubiak
- 10:20Speaker 2: up about the remnant.
- 10:21Speaker 1: It's a revenge game on the Raiders and against Tom
- 10:24Speaker 1: Brady for not rooting for the Patriots in this game.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Exactly, Josh McCay.
- 10:28Speaker 2: There's so many levels of there's so many levels of
- 10:31Speaker 2: inside baseball here, we're taking you through.
- 10:33Speaker 3: All of them.
- 10:34Speaker 1: It is really funny that Josh McDaniels probably is still
- 10:36Speaker 1: getting paid by Mark Davis, So it shouldn't be who
- 10:38Speaker 1: isn't revenge.
- 10:40Speaker 4: Game like he got him?
- 10:42Speaker 2: Was it as a Northwestern grad? Thank you Mark Davis?
- 10:45Speaker 2: Because Chip Kelly is getting.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Paid by as a Patriots fan, Thank you Mark Davis.
- 10:50Speaker 4: Because Josh McDaniels, like.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Santa, with a couple of weeks to prepare, I think
- 10:57Speaker 1: there's a chance at least that they have a coaching
- 10:59Speaker 1: in in this game. McDaniel's been involved in these games.
- 11:02Speaker 1: I think Rabel in terms of his game management is
- 11:05Speaker 1: just excellent. And do you have enough kind of designer
- 11:09Speaker 1: plays to pull it off? But one thing I agreed
- 11:11Speaker 1: with you, and we're going to move off this game
- 11:12Speaker 1: and get to just a couple of little items of
- 11:14Speaker 1: news before you go get your flight.
- 11:16Speaker 4: That I really agree with you is.
- 11:18Speaker 1: I feel better about the number than I do the
- 11:23Speaker 1: Patriots winning.
- 11:24Speaker 4: To uh, we're going to put a ball on it
- 11:26Speaker 4: my score, and.
- 11:27Speaker 1: I didn't give a score twenty seven to twenty six Patriots.
- 11:30Speaker 4: I am having them win straight up? Why not? Why?
- 11:34Speaker 1: I do think it's going to be some points ultimately.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I think there could be some turnovers. I think there
- 11:40Speaker 1: could be some big plays. Seattle did give up a
- 11:43Speaker 1: lot a big plays, So.
- 11:44Speaker 3: I just think tricks matter too. We've seen both. We
- 11:46Speaker 3: saw flea Flicker, we saw some crazy stuff. We've seen
- 11:50Speaker 3: tight ends being used in snakes.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Like there's all these different fun things that both of
- 11:53Speaker 2: these offensive masterminds could be putting together for this game,
- 11:58Speaker 2: and with a little extra time, I expect them to
- 12:01Speaker 2: be on display, just a few little snappy tricks.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Here and there.
- 12:05Speaker 4: So I love it.
- 12:06Speaker 1: I love it too, Like get get a team that
- 12:08Speaker 1: can do the normal stuff, but do the weird stuff.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Get it.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Get a podcast that can do both too. We can
- 12:13Speaker 1: do the picks, we can do a little bit of news,
- 12:15Speaker 1: because why not. Like we're at the Daily Show, this
- 12:17Speaker 1: is our today. Our next show will be from Radio
- 12:21Speaker 1: Row with a lot of big time guests. I love
- 12:23Speaker 1: that as long as they don't cancel. Jackson Dart is
- 12:26Speaker 1: on Wednesday. Justin Jefferson is on Wednesday.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, do I want going to give you
- 12:31Speaker 2: that bucket chain thing?
- 12:32Speaker 1: So Liam Cohen is coming up later in the week.
- 12:35Speaker 1: I think we have our Bowls All Pro first teamer
- 12:39Speaker 1: on Wednesday too.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Just thinking about that is a huge man. Garrett Bowles
- 12:42Speaker 2: is like, it's the biggest picture with him is going
- 12:45Speaker 2: to be silly and funny. Justin Jefferson is one of
- 12:49Speaker 2: my favorites. And even though he's on a team that
- 12:51Speaker 2: plays against my team, I still like, really love it,
- 12:53Speaker 2: Like I can't help it. He was my favorite of
- 12:56Speaker 2: all the guys coming out of college. You know, we're
- 12:58Speaker 2: almost going into draft season. I actually my first smock
- 13:00Speaker 2: draft you today. It's coming out who knows when but soon,
- 13:03Speaker 2: And I was sitting there and I'm like, oh, I
- 13:04Speaker 2: really miss Justin Jefferson's tracking data.
- 13:07Speaker 3: That's sad.
- 13:08Speaker 1: He's a guy where what you see is what you get.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Every person that's been around him in the Minnesota building,
- 13:14Speaker 1: like Austin is our leader. That's why you know they
- 13:17Speaker 1: they not only have one of the best players, one
- 13:18Speaker 1: of the best leaders in the league. So it'll be
- 13:20Speaker 1: a treat to talk to him a couple coaching items.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Davis web gets elevated to offensive course locker in Denver.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Do you know anything about Davis Webb? Yes, Okay, Denver person.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Yeah, so I did preseason with them, and I was
- 13:33Speaker 2: surprised that Davis Webb was even allowed to interview for
- 13:36Speaker 2: anything else. Now he remember he had to interview for
- 13:38Speaker 2: head coaching because they can put the Kai bosh on,
- 13:42Speaker 2: they can block certain things. They can't block that though,
- 13:45Speaker 2: So Davis Webb was one who you could see it.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Sean was like, let's not talk about him, let's snut.
- 13:51Speaker 3: And that's how you know.
- 13:52Speaker 2: That Sean Payton thinks someone is really good because he
- 13:54Speaker 2: doesn't let the good ones out of the building, or
- 13:55Speaker 2: he brings them back, like Darren Rizzy. Darren Rizzy's back.
- 13:58Speaker 2: You know that's that's always a good thing. When Sean
- 14:00Speaker 2: brings brings his people back. That's how I know he
- 14:02Speaker 2: likes Davis Webb a lot.
- 14:03Speaker 1: And how about this coaching tree right now, Ben Johnson,
- 14:07Speaker 1: Dan Campbell, pretty Declan Doyle I would consider actually part
- 14:10Speaker 1: of the Sean Payton coaching tree in the end, Like, yep,
- 14:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna be intrigued to see how that goes. Matt
- 14:17Speaker 1: Naggi is your new Giants offensive coordinator. I thought he
- 14:22Speaker 1: was going to get a potentially embarrassing situation where he
- 14:26Speaker 1: really it really sounded like his people thought he was
- 14:28Speaker 1: getting the Titans job for whatever it's worth, and then
- 14:32Speaker 1: not only not getting that job, but the Chiefs moving
- 14:34Speaker 1: on from you pretty quickly and just deciding okay, that
- 14:37Speaker 1: was going to be his last year in Kansas City.
- 14:39Speaker 1: I thought he might not get a coordinator job, and
- 14:41Speaker 1: he might not have if Todd Munkin didn't end up
- 14:43Speaker 1: in Cleveland. But now Matt Naggy in charge of Jackson
- 14:47Speaker 1: Dart's future, I'm willing to be open minded about it.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Certainly an experienced play caller, but.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Very similar to Mike Kafka. You know who Mi Kafka
- 14:55Speaker 2: worked for, Yeah, Matt Naggy. So I don't think it's
- 14:58Speaker 2: gonna I actually think it could be a thing for
- 15:00Speaker 2: Jackson Dart in terms of play, like the style of
- 15:04Speaker 2: the way that the offense is taught. Like remember we
- 15:06Speaker 2: talk about like this poor quarterback has had ten different
- 15:09Speaker 2: coordinators or ten different people there.
- 15:10Speaker 3: I think it could be good for him.
- 15:12Speaker 1: It could be you know, you look at the stats
- 15:15Speaker 1: for the Chiefs pre Naggy, post Naggy.
- 15:18Speaker 4: Maybe it's not fair.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Maybe it is like their worst offensive seasons by a
- 15:23Speaker 1: good chunk were the n.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Naggy, but he also won. He also won with the Bears.
- 15:28Speaker 2: He was the last coach of the year when he
- 15:30Speaker 2: was a Bear, you know, at some moments, so he's
- 15:33Speaker 2: I think you just got to remember that there's there's
- 15:36Speaker 2: always value to having worked with Patrick Mutt. Like you
- 15:40Speaker 2: can rehab with Josh McDaniel's and have him do other things,
- 15:42Speaker 2: but we can't rehab. Okay, Maaggie going back to.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Pat, I haven't seen him provide this schematic advantage on
- 15:47Speaker 1: his own. But that's saying let's see because this will
- 15:50Speaker 1: be a big test and he's no longer with Andy Reid.
- 15:53Speaker 1: But I like what you're doing. It was just pushing backwards.
- 15:55Speaker 1: I think Matt Naggie struggles a little bit from a
- 15:58Speaker 1: pr angle for whatever from.
- 16:00Speaker 4: You know what I want? You know what I want?
- 16:02Speaker 2: Yeah, and nobody agrees with you on this one. But
- 16:05Speaker 2: as just an offensive coordinator, you know who I want
- 16:07Speaker 2: back Adam Gase.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Wow, okay, that'll be who knows, there's still a couple
- 16:12Speaker 1: jobs available.
- 16:13Speaker 2: I'm telling you, though, you talk about someone who coordinating
- 16:15Speaker 2: an offense and relating to offensive players.
- 16:19Speaker 1: I saw a crazy stat that almost every offensive coordinator
- 16:23Speaker 1: in the league was hired twenty in the last three years.
- 16:26Speaker 1: There was like one one who doesn't have play calling duties.
- 16:29Speaker 1: That's it like before them. That's crazy. A couple other
- 16:32Speaker 1: quick items. Robber Craft did not make the Hall of Fame.
- 16:36Speaker 1: I don't like this trend of leaking the news about
- 16:39Speaker 1: the Hall of Fame of who didn't make it ahead
- 16:41Speaker 1: of time. It's just not great that because it makes
- 16:45Speaker 1: it feel worse. But it's not new that Robbercraft is
- 16:49Speaker 1: not making the Hall of Fame. Unlike Bill Belichick, He's
- 16:51Speaker 1: been elegent.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Can we talk about the Bill Belichick thing for a second, though.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Please, you're the one with the plane to catch. I'm
- 16:57Speaker 1: furious you get a few minutes.
- 16:59Speaker 3: Yeah, you cannot.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Write the history of the NFL without Bill Belichick.
- 17:06Speaker 3: You can't.
- 17:07Speaker 4: No, he's he's you.
- 17:10Speaker 3: You can't do it.
- 17:12Speaker 1: You can try to make arguments for different best coaches
- 17:14Speaker 1: of all time in different ways, but he has.
- 17:16Speaker 4: To be no, no, no, no, no.
- 17:17Speaker 3: He's in that argument squarely.
- 17:19Speaker 2: I'm not saying that he's the best coach of allSome
- 17:22Speaker 2: I think he is, but I can that would be
- 17:24Speaker 2: my pick, and I think there's a lot of ways
- 17:26Speaker 2: to substantiate that. However, I can at least see that
- 17:29Speaker 2: being a discussion. But the fact that he's not a
- 17:31Speaker 2: first ballot Hall of Famer, what the heck are you doing?
- 17:34Speaker 2: Almost for what on earth are these people doing.
- 17:37Speaker 4: We've seen a couple of reason games. I don't want
- 17:40Speaker 4: to jam.
- 17:40Speaker 2: I'm supposed to tell who you voted for out yourselves,
- 17:43Speaker 2: you tend voters because well if you have.
- 17:45Speaker 1: And the whole Senior's Committee argument is ridiculous that like,
- 17:49Speaker 1: we wanted to get these seniors in and you know, we.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Thought would then be better.
- 17:54Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Some people I think wanted to punish him for Spygate
- 17:58Speaker 1: and make him wait a year.
- 18:00Speaker 4: It was all ridiculous.
- 18:01Speaker 1: And Cynthia's look icily into the camera right now is
- 18:05Speaker 1: why you got to check us out.
- 18:07Speaker 2: I just and I really love the Hall of Fame.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Now I will protest the Hall of Fame. This won't happen,
- 18:14Speaker 2: But I will protest the Hall of Fame. If Lair
- 18:16Speaker 2: Fitzgerald doesn't get in.
- 18:17Speaker 4: This year, I will definitely get in.
- 18:19Speaker 2: If he doesn't get that, damn knock, I will never
- 18:23Speaker 2: speak of the Hall of Fame again.
- 18:24Speaker 4: He's getting he will be better. He better.
- 18:27Speaker 1: So no craft, but that's not new.
- 18:30Speaker 4: I personally think that the threshold for owners it.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Could be like six thousand years old and get.
- 18:34Speaker 1: It should be well, he's getting up there in years.
- 18:38Speaker 1: It should be so sky high that you fundamentally change
- 18:41Speaker 1: the sport. Patrick put it well to me when we
- 18:43Speaker 1: were talking about this in the in the breakroom before
- 18:46Speaker 1: we came out, which is like, yeah, if you're an owner,
- 18:49Speaker 1: the victory, you get the victories in other ways you
- 18:51Speaker 1: get them the Lombardi trophies.
- 18:53Speaker 4: Yeah, you get the.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Money you get that's your that's your win as an owner.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I said on our last show that we would have
- 19:03Speaker 1: eight International Games. I didn't know that they were going
- 19:06Speaker 1: to announce another one. So let's break a record and
- 19:08Speaker 1: let's get to nine. They're going back to Mexico City
- 19:11Speaker 1: late next seas.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Which ones we have we announced.
- 19:15Speaker 1: We've announced them all. They're all out there. Australia, Paris,
- 19:18Speaker 1: out there.
- 19:18Speaker 3: With I didn't know if it was out there. Lord,
- 19:20Speaker 3: it's very hard.
- 19:21Speaker 1: It's been out That's what I'm lobbing to go to
- 19:23Speaker 1: that one. That one's kind of been expected for. I
- 19:25Speaker 1: know it's been expected that I was eight months or
- 19:27Speaker 1: whatever it is. They finally announce it, but Mexico City
- 19:29Speaker 1: was the last one. It's going to be a late
- 19:31Speaker 1: it's going to be a December game. Usually the International
- 19:33Speaker 1: Games kind of wind down, but since.
- 19:34Speaker 3: That's an elevation game.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's also like that's not that long a trip,
- 19:38Speaker 1: So I think I love that they want to send
- 19:39Speaker 1: people to Europe like in December.
- 19:41Speaker 4: Heck no, but I get it.
- 19:43Speaker 3: Wait, what do you think about Matlin?
- 19:45Speaker 1: It sounds like it's going to be the forty nine
- 19:47Speaker 1: ers because their owner said keep an eye on us
- 19:49Speaker 1: possibly going to Mexico City.
- 19:51Speaker 3: So okay, well, I think Mexico.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Mexico City is also an awesome one from the time
- 19:54Speaker 2: zone standpoint.
- 19:55Speaker 1: So that's all I got for news. Now you're just
- 19:57Speaker 1: throwing I.
- 19:57Speaker 3: Want to know what Matt lif Flir.
- 19:58Speaker 4: I know.
- 19:59Speaker 3: Sorry, Mike Lafleur.
- 20:00Speaker 1: They said he's gonna call plays. We talked about it
- 20:04Speaker 1: on our last show. I think you have thoughts. I
- 20:07Speaker 1: want to hear what you say.
- 20:08Speaker 2: I think that's a hard freaking job. I think that
- 20:11Speaker 2: is the hard the hardest job of all of the jobs. Yes,
- 20:15Speaker 2: I mean for being a head coach. I think that
- 20:17Speaker 2: is a like. I hope he gets hazard pay because
- 20:19Speaker 2: that is a hard job that he took.
- 20:21Speaker 4: Is he going to be able to fill out that staff?
- 20:23Speaker 1: He doesn't have the eyebrows, he doesn't have the the vibe.
- 20:29Speaker 4: No, maybe he'll get over it.
- 20:31Speaker 1: He was a great daily He seems like a really
- 20:33Speaker 1: nice guy, but he hasn't shown that he can provide.
- 20:36Speaker 3: But I couldn't be a head coach.
- 20:38Speaker 1: You see the guy running the building. You are nice.
- 20:40Speaker 1: What a season Cynthia Freelan gave to us. We got
- 20:43Speaker 1: to get her on a plane.
- 20:44Speaker 3: She is she keeps talking to me.
- 20:46Speaker 4: No, we really do.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Need to get you.
- 20:50Speaker 4: You're going to be late.
- 20:51Speaker 1: We will be back in the NFL Daily Feed from
- 20:54Speaker 1: Radio Row with all those great guests that I mentioned earlier.
- 20:57Speaker 4: What a season.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Everyone check out Cynthia Freeland and Numbers Game her YouTube channel.
- 21:02Speaker 1: We will see you from San Francisco.
