- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome in. It is not very far now as we
- 0:04Speaker 1: roll into the Thursday edition of the program until the
- 0:08Speaker 1: midterms will officially be here. I am one of roughly,
- 0:12Speaker 1: I believe it's 18 million people now who have already voted. Buck,
- 0:15Speaker 1: have you voted?
- 0:17Speaker 2: Are you really going to ask me these every day?
- 0:19Speaker 1: Every day? I'm going to vote week one.
- 0:21Speaker 2: I committed to week one. You get off my lawn, Travis.
- 0:25Speaker 1: I just want to point out for the record that
- 0:28Speaker 1: I love America more than Buck because I have already
- 0:31Speaker 1: voted and my ballot has been cast. And I know
- 0:34Speaker 1: that many of you out there are continuing to cast
- 0:37Speaker 1: your ballots as well because we have one of the
- 0:40Speaker 1: largest early vote turnouts that we have seen. And I
- 0:44Speaker 1: do think at this point, We should be paying a
- 0:47Speaker 1: lot of attention to what the early votes look like,
- 0:50Speaker 1: more so than what the polls are telling us might occur,
- 0:53Speaker 1: because we have actual data that is significant. There are
- 0:58Speaker 1: 18 million people who have early voted now all over
- 1:01Speaker 1: the country. And what I would say, and this is
- 1:04Speaker 1: very significant, there is virtually no difference in the percentages
- 1:10Speaker 1: that have voted so far and what happened in twenty
- 1:14Speaker 1: twenty two. In other words, the Democrat percent and the
- 1:19Speaker 1: Republican percentage, even though way more people have voted in
- 1:23Speaker 1: 26 than 22, meaning early voting is getting more popular.
- 1:28Speaker 1: We are sitting in a situation where in 2022, the
- 1:33Speaker 1: Democrat early vote favored them by 18 points. Right now,
- 1:39Speaker 1: the Democrat early vote favors them by 19 points. The
- 1:43Speaker 1: overall vote in 2022 was in favor of Republicans. Now, again,
- 1:49Speaker 1: this is with 18 million votes in. Independents are not
- 1:53Speaker 1: being counted here. So if you think that independents are
- 1:56Speaker 1: going to overwhelmingly break one way or the other, that
- 1:59Speaker 1: could certainly end up being the big storyline. But for
- 2:03Speaker 1: people out there that are being told, oh, Democrats are
- 2:06Speaker 1: so much more energized, Republicans have no hope, which is
- 2:10Speaker 1: what they are trying to send the message of through
- 2:14Speaker 1: the polls that they continue to cite. 18 million people
- 2:18Speaker 1: have voted, and it is nearly buck identical to what
- 2:23Speaker 1: we saw in 2022 in terms of the percentages. I
- 2:26Speaker 1: like actual data as opposed to the polls. That is
- 2:29Speaker 1: the current real-time actual data for all of you.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Things are, and we're not just saying it, looking good
- 2:38Speaker 2: relative to where they were a month ago for Republicans,
- 2:42Speaker 2: meaning that if you think of this as a horse race—
- 2:46Speaker 2: And remember, Clay, we were at Kentucky Derby with our boss.
- 2:49Speaker 2: That was so fun. If you think of this relative
- 2:52Speaker 2: to a horse race, even if the Democrats going into
- 2:57Speaker 2: the final stretch were ahead by a length or two,
- 3:00Speaker 2: you can see the Republican horse surging here at a
- 3:04Speaker 2: key time and might just be able to get ahead
- 3:07Speaker 2: of them by a nose. I believe that's the terminology
- 3:10Speaker 2: at the finish line in some of these key races.
- 3:13Speaker 2: It's not going to be a red wave. We're not overpromising.
- 3:16Speaker 2: It's just close enough that you could have some. For example,
- 3:20Speaker 2: if we win Michigan, Clay, I think everybody would have
- 3:23Speaker 2: to say, great win by Mike Rogers and breathing a
- 3:29Speaker 2: bit of relaxation, a breath of relief coming out of
- 3:32Speaker 2: all of us if that were to occur. Maybe it does,
- 3:34Speaker 2: maybe it doesn't. NBC's Steve Kornacki, he's one of their
- 3:38Speaker 2: analyst guys. He's a poor man's Ryan Gerduski, if you will.
- 3:42Speaker 2: This is what he said, cut one, about how, well,
- 3:46Speaker 2: you'll hear it yourself. Play it.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Talk about Minnesota.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the other one.
- 3:49Speaker 3: On the other side, Republicans think they can flip a
- 3:52Speaker 3: Democratic state here. Again, in 2024, Trump carried the state,
- 3:55Speaker 3: show you what it looked like. Relatively closer for Republicans,
- 3:58Speaker 3: they've been trying for decades.
- 3:59Speaker 1: To flip Minnesota.
- 4:01Speaker 3: What they think is working in their favor here is
- 4:03Speaker 3: there's a state scandal there about Medicaid fraud. The governor,
- 4:06Speaker 3: Tim Walz, didn't run for reelection, I think, because of it.
- 4:09Speaker 3: This is his lieutenant governor. And to FOIA, the Republican
- 4:12Speaker 3: has been saying, look, if you're upset about that scandal,
- 4:14Speaker 3: don't vote for the lieutenant governor. There does seem to
- 4:17Speaker 3: be a tide within the state that might be working
- 4:19Speaker 3: against Democrats.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Clay, I think if there's going to be one place
- 4:22Speaker 2: where we see a, oh, wow, win for Republicans. Texas
- 4:28Speaker 2: is home turf. We've got to defend Texas. If Michelle
- 4:31Speaker 2: Tafoya wins that Senate seat in Minnesota, that would be
- 4:34Speaker 2: a huge underdog story. And she can do it.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Yeah, it would 100% be a monster underdog story. And
- 4:42Speaker 1: so this is also part of the storyline that I
- 4:46Speaker 1: think is starting to play out here, which is... Minnesota's
- 4:50Speaker 1: been a deep blue state for a long time. If
- 4:53Speaker 1: you're upset and you're listening to us in Minnesota right
- 4:56Speaker 1: now with where the country is, President Trump being president
- 5:00Speaker 1: for a year and a half isn't the reason why
- 5:02Speaker 1: $ 9 billion in fraud exists. happened in Minnesota associated with
- 5:08Speaker 1: the Somali population. In fact, the only reason you know
- 5:12Speaker 1: about it, I would argue, is because President Trump is
- 5:14Speaker 1: in office. Peggy Flanagan has been the lieutenant governor of
- 5:19Speaker 1: Mike Walls for eight years. And for eight years, I
- 5:23Speaker 1: think Minnesota has gotten progressively worse. If you're upset about
- 5:28Speaker 1: the direction of Minnesota, you're upset with the Democrat Party,
- 5:31Speaker 1: with Peggy Flanagan. And the question that Michelle Tafoya is asking,
- 5:35Speaker 1: which is a really good one, is what has Peggy
- 5:38Speaker 1: Flanagan done to suggest that she deserves a job promotion?
- 5:43Speaker 1: Most people who have as poor of a record as
- 5:45Speaker 1: Peggy Flanagan would get fired. They wouldn't get a better job.
- 5:50Speaker 1: And so I think Minnesota... Michigan, New Hampshire, those are
- 5:55Speaker 1: all locations with current Democrat senators where Republicans are making
- 5:59Speaker 1: a real run with very strong candidates. And any one
- 6:04Speaker 1: of those three, Buck, if... Republicans win. And I would
- 6:08Speaker 1: add in Maine, if Susan Collins wins in Maine, any
- 6:12Speaker 1: one of those four, I think the math becomes virtually
- 6:15Speaker 1: impossible for Democrats to have any chance of taking back
- 6:19Speaker 1: the Senate. So I feel that is that is a
- 6:21Speaker 1: win on blue state turf. Any one of those four,
- 6:26Speaker 1: if any of those happen, Republicans are retaining control of
- 6:28Speaker 1: the Senate.
- 6:29Speaker 2: I feel more confident about it for the toss ups.
- 6:35Speaker 2: I feel good about Texas. I refuse to believe that
- 6:38Speaker 2: Texas is not going to elect Ken Paxton. Like I
- 6:40Speaker 2: just I will come in here and I don't really
- 6:43Speaker 2: wear a hat. So I'm not going to eat my
- 6:44Speaker 2: hat because I don't wear a hat. I will come
- 6:46Speaker 2: in here and do a big mea culpa if Texas
- 6:49Speaker 2: somehow lets us down. I think Texas is going to
- 6:51Speaker 2: be fine. I also think Susan Collins is going to
- 6:53Speaker 2: win in Maine, which is a really nice pickup. And
- 6:57Speaker 2: it's a reminder that, you know. You take the best
- 7:00Speaker 2: you can get where you can get it, and she's
- 7:02Speaker 2: about as good as you're going to get for a
- 7:03Speaker 2: Republican in Maine. She's not a Republican. She's the only one.
- 7:07Speaker 1: This is crazy. She's the only Republican in all of
- 7:11Speaker 1: New England.
- 7:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:13Speaker 1: In Congress.
- 7:14Speaker 2: I mean, that's a crazy stat to think about.
- 7:15Speaker 1: I love New England.
- 7:16Speaker 2: I think New England, you and I disagree on this
- 7:18Speaker 2: because you just say it's because the Pilgrims landed here
- 7:20Speaker 2: first or whatever. I think New England is one of
- 7:21Speaker 2: the most beautiful parts of the entire country. And it
- 7:24Speaker 2: hurts my heart that it has been politically conceded to
- 7:28Speaker 2: the communists. I just don't know why we can't. New Hampshire, okay.
- 7:32Speaker 2: New Hampshire still is a little sane. But it's closer
- 7:36Speaker 2: than it should be in New Hampshire.
- 7:37Speaker 1: But Vermont?
- 7:38Speaker 2: Vermont is like a commune with nice maple syrup. Vermont
- 7:43Speaker 2: completely lost its mind. Connecticut, you know I love Connecticut
- 7:46Speaker 2: as a state. And they've got lunatics running the show
- 7:49Speaker 2: out of Hartford. And then obviously Massachusetts is... I think
- 7:52Speaker 2: the second bluest state in the country or maybe the
- 7:54Speaker 2: blue it's, it's right up there. It's one of the
- 7:56Speaker 2: most Democrat states in the country. It's certainly top three,
- 8:01Speaker 2: but yeah, Clay, I'm with you on, on the way
- 8:03Speaker 2: these races are looking right now, president Trump, by the way,
- 8:06Speaker 2: out on the campaign trail. I do think people might say, Oh,
- 8:09Speaker 2: but that's not, yeah, he's not there to win over
- 8:12Speaker 2: the kind of casual, maybe he's going to show up
- 8:14Speaker 2: independent voter, you know, the, the, I'm not that into politics,
- 8:18Speaker 2: whatever he is there, uh, For base turnout. And he
- 8:22Speaker 2: is there to remind people that the Democrats or the Democrats,
- 8:26Speaker 2: as he calls them. Yeah, they can tell you that
- 8:28Speaker 2: things aren't perfect. They also will make everything worse.
- 8:32Speaker 1: They have they are the cause of why people are
- 8:35Speaker 1: upset about affordability in general. And I do think I believe.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Correct me if I'm wrong, guys. I think this is live.
- 8:43Speaker 4: J.D.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Vance is right now in Nebraska. He's also on the
- 8:47Speaker 1: campaign trail trying to rally the troops. Increasingly, it seems
- 8:51Speaker 1: like these fever dreams of Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa even are fading,
- 8:58Speaker 1: as we told you they likely would. Ohio is a mess.
- 9:02Speaker 1: I think if we want to point to a red
- 9:05Speaker 1: state that is won by double digits, Greg Abbott is
- 9:08Speaker 1: going to win in Texas. I think Ken Paxton is
- 9:11Speaker 1: going to win, too. I'll be stunned beyond belief if
- 9:13Speaker 1: Greg Abbott doesn't win. You guys in Texas, get out
- 9:15Speaker 1: and vote. Ohio's a mess, Buck. Ohio is a mess.
- 9:20Speaker 1: It is far more competitive than it should be. Open
- 9:23Speaker 1: governor's race, Senate seat that is already held by Republicans.
- 9:27Speaker 1: John Husted needs to win that race. There are a
- 9:31Speaker 1: lot of people out there right now that are, I think,
- 9:35Speaker 1: nervous about what's going on in Ohio. And as a
- 9:38Speaker 1: show that has been number one in Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati, Ohioans.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I know you're starting quarterback Julian saying is out at
- 9:46Speaker 1: Ohio State. And so you're a little bit depressed over that.
- 9:50Speaker 1: You're going to be really depressed if you have a
- 9:52Speaker 1: crazy Democrat governor and you reelect a guy who you
- 9:57Speaker 1: fired two years ago to come back into the Senate.
- 10:01Speaker 1: You've got to vote Husted. You've got to vote for
- 10:02Speaker 1: Vivek Ramaswamy. There's a lot of apprehension, I think, setting
- 10:07Speaker 1: in in Ohio. Not to be the Debbie Downer buck,
- 10:10Speaker 1: because usually that's your role, but if you wanted me
- 10:13Speaker 1: to point to a red state where I am nervous
- 10:17Speaker 1: about what the trend lines look like, it would be Ohio.
- 10:22Speaker 2: I think we're cooked in Ohio, and I hope Ohioans
- 10:24Speaker 2: prove me wrong.
- 10:27Speaker 1: You're even more negative than me. Oh, yeah, no.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Well, Vivek is pulling down the whole ticket, unfortunately. And
- 10:36Speaker 2: this is a there's a few reasons why. But the
- 10:39Speaker 2: most recent thing is he ran this ad. And I
- 10:43Speaker 2: know J.D. is out there saying, oh, stop being like
- 10:46Speaker 2: a wimp. Or he's saying, you know, this is politics.
- 10:49Speaker 2: You know, put on your brass knuckles. Yeah, I'm OK
- 10:52Speaker 2: with that attitude. If the ad is working. The problem
- 10:56Speaker 2: with the ad is it's blown up in his face.
- 10:59Speaker 2: So it's not about being tough. It's about being smart.
- 11:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 11:02Speaker 2: And the ad is not a good. What happened is
- 11:06Speaker 2: they've got Acton's mom. I've looked into this. They've got
- 11:09Speaker 2: Acton's mom basically saying that she's lying about her childhood.
- 11:12Speaker 2: I mean, there's a court record. She was sexually abused
- 11:16Speaker 2: as a child. And now Vivek has weighed into this
- 11:23Speaker 2: sort of, and it's not good. It's and it looks
- 11:27Speaker 2: a little bit like a lie. So anyway, look, they
- 11:29Speaker 2: could be better for Ohio than the other than Amy Acton.
- 11:31Speaker 2: There's no question about that. He's much smarter. He's much
- 11:33Speaker 2: more capable. He's my you know, all this stuff is true.
- 11:36Speaker 2: It's just there's only so much, guys, only so much
- 11:39Speaker 2: we could do here to kind of put a, you know,
- 11:42Speaker 2: nice candy coating topping on some of the decisions that
- 11:45Speaker 2: are being made by some of these Republicans. So I
- 11:47Speaker 2: hope that the blowback on that ad is not as
- 11:49Speaker 2: big as it seems, but it looks bad right now.
- 11:53Speaker 1: It reminds me a little bit, Buck, of the garbage
- 11:57Speaker 1: talk when everybody got fired up about the Madison Square
- 12:00Speaker 1: Garden rally. What I said last night, I was talking
- 12:03Speaker 1: to my wife about it because she asked me about it,
- 12:06Speaker 1: is it feels like the kind of ad you run
- 12:09Speaker 1: if you are behind. I think that's fair to say
- 12:12Speaker 1: because it's a risk. If you are up big, as
- 12:16Speaker 1: should be the case in Ohio in a governor's race,
- 12:20Speaker 1: then I don't think you take the risk of running
- 12:23Speaker 1: an ad like that. Um, and if you're down and
- 12:26Speaker 1: you're trying to scramble and shake up the board and, and,
- 12:30Speaker 1: and make a comeback, I think you take bigger risks
- 12:33Speaker 1: in your campaign.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Here's the problem. Also, I think you're right. Here's the problem. Also. Um,
- 12:39Speaker 2: if you tell me that Watley, by the way, pulls
- 12:42Speaker 2: off what feels like a miracle now, and maybe he
- 12:43Speaker 2: will North Carolina, get out there and vote. We have
- 12:45Speaker 2: a huge audience in Raleigh. A lot of you listening
- 12:47Speaker 2: all across the state. Um, Cooper's a tough candidate, and
- 12:51Speaker 2: that's a tough state. Let's just be honest about this. Clay,
- 12:56Speaker 2: you've coached athletics. I actually coach a lot of athletics.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Sometimes you just lose to a better team, or you
- 13:01Speaker 2: lose to a team that's having their day, and that's that.
- 13:04Speaker 2: In Ohio, Trump handed those candidates what should be effectively
- 13:09Speaker 2: a double-digit lead. If they lose, it's because they have
- 13:14Speaker 2: absolutely screwed up. And that's just, this is the coach
- 13:17Speaker 2: speaking to the team. That is the truth in Ohio.
- 13:19Speaker 2: If Vivek loses, it's all on Vivek because Trump handed that,
- 13:23Speaker 2: hands him a 10 point, 11 point lead right off
- 13:26Speaker 2: the bat. So I think it's a little more tough
- 13:28Speaker 2: to take that one. Whereas, you know, you look at
- 13:30Speaker 2: some of these other races and other places, you know,
- 13:33Speaker 2: Sununu's got a huge uphill battle. You know, it's Michigan
- 13:37Speaker 2: is a dog fight and we get it right. There's
- 13:39Speaker 2: what's fair and what's, what's true. So hopefully Ohio, I'm
- 13:43Speaker 2: totally wrong about my, My frustration, because I feel frustrated.
- 13:48Speaker 2: We should have Ohio in the red, good to go,
- 13:50Speaker 2: and we don't.
- 13:51Speaker 4: Yes.
- 13:51Speaker 2: And that's frustrating.
- 13:52Speaker 1: To be fair, that's why I think we have to
- 13:55Speaker 1: point sometimes. If you said, okay, Clay, you're optimistic about
- 13:58Speaker 1: the race that Michelle's running. I'm optimistic about what Mike
- 14:01Speaker 1: Rogers is doing in Michigan. Optimistic New Hampshire is going
- 14:04Speaker 1: to be close. Those are all blue states. What red
- 14:06Speaker 1: state are you most nervous about in the entire country?
- 14:09Speaker 1: Right now, for me, it's Ohio. Because you got the
- 14:12Speaker 1: governor's race and you got the Senate race. And I
- 14:15Speaker 1: don't feel comfortable about either right now.
- 14:17Speaker 2: And just a little quick happy talk. Iowa, we're going
- 14:19Speaker 2: to be fine. Iowa, we're going to be fine. Iowa
- 14:22Speaker 2: Republicans are going to win. Don't worry about that one.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Senate seat, for sure. Governor's race, a bit more of
- 14:27Speaker 2: a toss-up.
- 14:27Speaker 1: I'm not as confident.
- 14:28Speaker 2: I mean, I'm at the Senate seat, to be fair.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I do think Ohio has to be the number one
- 14:34Speaker 1: uh-oh moment right now. And by the way, you can
- 14:37Speaker 1: play along at Hard Rock in Ohio. Because much like Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan,
- 14:44Speaker 1: New Jersey, Tennessee, and Virginia, Hard Rock Bet is there.
- 14:48Speaker 1: If you bet $ 5, you get back $ 500. And for
- 14:51Speaker 1: those of you who love seeing me dressed up, like
- 14:54Speaker 1: I was dressed up yesterday, I did happen to hear
- 14:58Speaker 1: that Buck was taking shots on social media at my
- 15:02Speaker 1: outfit on Jesse Waters' show, which I thought I looked great.
- 15:07Speaker 1: But you just off the top rope, I'm scrolling through,
- 15:10Speaker 1: came after the shirt.
- 15:12Speaker 2: You kind of look like a Bernie Sanders voter. I'm
- 15:14Speaker 2: just going to tell you, you kind of look like
- 15:16Speaker 2: a Bernie Sanders voter.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Oh, that cuts to the core, cuts to the quick. Look,
- 15:23Speaker 1: I have a white shirt that is completely impossible to challenge.
- 15:29Speaker 1: It's a white button down, the most conservative, not look
- 15:32Speaker 1: at me shirt, but you can see me in it.
- 15:35Speaker 1: If you go to the Hard Rock Bet right now,
- 15:36Speaker 1: go to the Hard Rock Bet app. I'm right there

- 17:14Speaker 2: will troll me on air a bit more about not
- 17:16Speaker 2: having cast my vote yet for byron but Byron.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Can count on it. Just a better American here.
- 17:21Speaker 2: That's the reality. Byron knows. The governor knows. I've got
- 17:25Speaker 2: his back, and he will be getting my vote shortly.
- 17:27Speaker 2: And it will be an early vote. So there we go.
- 17:31Speaker 2: But we'll talk to him in a little bit. And also, Clay,
- 17:33Speaker 2: things getting a little spicy. Michigan debate. A little bit
- 17:37Speaker 2: of heat. We'll talk about the key moments of that one.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Because that is the... I will tell you this. I
- 17:45Speaker 2: think that will be the Senate race decided by... the
- 17:48Speaker 2: smallest margin. I think Michigan will be the smallest margin
- 17:53Speaker 2: Senate race.
- 17:54Speaker 1: I don't know that I disagree with that.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Maybe it's a pretty good take. All right. Good Ranchers.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Clay and I occasionally make steak dinner bets about politics,
- 18:03Speaker 2: as you know. We don't do cash, of course, but
- 18:05Speaker 2: we will do a great steak dinner. And our friends
- 18:08Speaker 2: at Good Ranchers wanted in on that action, so they've
- 18:10Speaker 2: created a special steak bet box you can find at
- 18:13Speaker 2: goodranchers.com slash bet. They're calling it the High Stakes Box.
- 18:18Speaker 2: You hear the double entendre? And you can only find
- 18:20Speaker 2: it at goodranchers.com slash bet. Good Ranchers delivers amazing steaks
- 18:25Speaker 2: from American-born, American-raised cattle right to your door. The High

- 18:49Speaker 2: a high-stakes box. Go check it out. Goodranchers.com slash bet.
- 18:54Speaker 2: That's Goodranchers.com slash bet.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Welcome back in, Clay and Buck. We have been talking about,
- 19:01Speaker 1: I think it's fair to say, Buck, I bet you
- 19:03Speaker 1: would co-sign on this with me, that there are real,
- 19:07Speaker 1: and I even saw CBS News reporting this, as one
- 19:12Speaker 1: acknowledges that you have to take it with a grain
- 19:14Speaker 1: of salt, that basically there are now five Senate seats
- 19:18Speaker 1: that both parties would say are real toss-ups. Maine, Michigan, Texas, Alaska,
- 19:27Speaker 1: and Ohio. And that the control of the Senate is
- 19:31Speaker 1: going to come down to those five. Now, again, I
- 19:33Speaker 1: hope Michael Watley is going to make a real run
- 19:36Speaker 1: in North Carolina. And we want all the North Carolinians
- 19:39Speaker 1: out there voting. But he is an underdog at this
- 19:43Speaker 1: point in time. And that would be one lost seat,
- 19:46Speaker 1: which would mean there cannot be. and we're fortunate to
- 19:50Speaker 1: have the tie break basically you you can lose three
- 19:54Speaker 1: you can't lose four 50 50 would still be jd
- 19:57Speaker 1: vance breaking the tie And so Texas has emerged in
- 20:03Speaker 1: a significant way, money being spent like crazy. Yesterday, Fox
- 20:08Speaker 1: News came out and said their latest poll has this
- 20:13Speaker 1: race as a dead even tie. Now, you and I
- 20:17Speaker 1: believe Ken Paxton is going to win. Good Texans out
- 20:21Speaker 1: there listening to us right now are going to get
- 20:23Speaker 1: out and vote in big numbers. But let's listen to
- 20:28Speaker 1: that report from Bill Hemmer on Fox News saying, hey,
- 20:32Speaker 1: this is our latest poll and Paxton has surged and
- 20:36Speaker 1: now is in a dead heat, as we told you
- 20:40Speaker 1: was likely going to be happening.
- 20:42Speaker 7: Our Fox News polling about a month ago, we had
- 20:45Speaker 7: Tallarico at that time up two points. Today, we've got
- 20:50Speaker 7: this race dead even. Now, I'll point out that the
- 20:53Speaker 7: margin error is 2.5 percentage points, so you can move
- 20:56Speaker 7: the line either way.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Really, I mean, it's a static race. It's a coin toss.
- 21:00Speaker 7: It really depends on who motivates the voters to get
- 21:03Speaker 7: out the vote.
- 21:05Speaker 1: OK, so that is the numbers directly from Fox News.
- 21:09Speaker 1: We know that money is pouring in in a significant
- 21:13Speaker 1: way across everywhere. But those are the five states. Michigan is.
- 21:19Speaker 1: And look, I hope Minnesota is going to be rational.
- 21:23Speaker 1: I hope New Hampshire is going to be rational. Those
- 21:26Speaker 1: are stretch states. for the Republicans. Michigan is a coin flip,
- 21:31Speaker 1: as we have been talking about for some time. If
- 21:34Speaker 1: you win in Michigan, there is no math, basically, that
- 21:37Speaker 1: would allow Democrats to take back control of the Senate. Frankly,
- 21:40Speaker 1: I think if Maine is a hold, if Susan Collins wins,
- 21:44Speaker 1: the math becomes almost impossible as well. But that is
- 21:48Speaker 1: where we are right now. If you take Texas off
- 21:51Speaker 1: the board, And if you take Ohio off the board,
- 21:55Speaker 1: the math doesn't work.
- 21:56Speaker 8: Right.
- 21:56Speaker 1: So, again, get out and vote, everybody. This is the
- 22:00Speaker 1: absolute latest. We also have been telling you that the
- 22:06Speaker 1: the big battle in Michigan is And this is from
- 22:10Speaker 1: last night's debate that was ongoing. And I want to
- 22:14Speaker 1: play a couple of cuts for you. Here is Mike
- 22:18Speaker 1: Rogers coming after Abdul El-Sayed after Abdul El-Sayed tries to say,
- 22:23Speaker 1: this is racism. This is me being a victim. Cut seven.
- 22:28Speaker 4: To bring in a question, my commitment to the Constitution
- 22:31Speaker 4: is really beneath you.
- 22:32Speaker 2: I am proud of America.
- 22:34Speaker 1: I'm proud to be an American.
- 22:35Speaker 4: I'm proud of our Constitution that guarantees all of us
- 22:38Speaker 4: the right to pray as we choose to pray.
- 22:40Speaker 2: And the question that.
- 22:40Speaker 4: You would ask that I think is actually really quite
- 22:43Speaker 4: shameful as somebody who's actually served under that Constitution.
- 22:45Speaker 1: It is shameful. Congressman Rogers, you now have 30 seconds
- 22:48Speaker 1: for a rebuttal.
- 22:50Speaker 5: You know, we're the uniform of the United States, proudly,
- 22:53Speaker 5: as my son did. My wife served. My brother served.
- 22:56Speaker 5: My father served. So you could pray any way you want.
- 22:58Speaker 5: And I know you want to make this about you
- 23:00Speaker 5: being a victim. This is about an ideology. An ideology
- 23:05Speaker 5: that's banned in five Muslim countries. An ideology that's banned
- 23:09Speaker 5: in another six different countries. An ideology that is very
- 23:14Speaker 5: concerning to law enforcement in the United States because they
- 23:17Speaker 5: use it for funding overseas operations.
- 23:20Speaker 2: That's the difference. Okay, Buck.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Here is what I would actually like to see Mike Rogers.
- 23:28Speaker 1: I wish I had thought to text him to do
- 23:30Speaker 1: this in the debate. Why doesn't Abdul El-Sayed, given all
- 23:35Speaker 1: of his deep ties to Egypt, demand that Egypt open
- 23:39Speaker 1: the border up with Gaza if he cares about Gaza
- 23:42Speaker 1: so much and take all of the Palestinian refugees who
- 23:46Speaker 1: want to relocate to Egypt? Inside of Egypt, because if
- 23:50Speaker 1: you look at that wall that Egypt has built on Gaza,
- 23:54Speaker 1: I know everybody wants to focus on, oh, what's Israel
- 23:56Speaker 1: doing to all the Palestinians in Gaza? Egypt has built
- 24:01Speaker 1: a wall that is that makes the wall that we
- 24:04Speaker 1: any of the walls that we have on the southern
- 24:06Speaker 1: border look like a Lego wall to make sure that
- 24:09Speaker 1: none of those Gazans, none of those Palestinians are ever
- 24:13Speaker 1: able to get into Egypt. Why shouldn't he demand that
- 24:17Speaker 1: Egypt take in all of these suffering, dealing with a
- 24:22Speaker 1: genocide refugees? I think it would have been an interesting point.
- 24:26Speaker 1: I don't know what Abdul El-Sayed would have said, but
- 24:29Speaker 1: I think he would checkmate him a little bit there.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Well, I come at this with a little bit of
- 24:35Speaker 2: a sensitivity about the people that we hear from, Clay.
- 24:40Speaker 2: And I mean, we hear from every day. who are
- 24:44Speaker 2: really tired of hearing about the middle East and really
- 24:47Speaker 2: want to hear more about America. So that's my only
- 24:49Speaker 2: concern about not just, I mean, what you raise is interesting,
- 24:53Speaker 2: by the way, what you raise is true as in
- 24:56Speaker 2: the Arab world could absorb all the refugees and all the,
- 24:58Speaker 2: they could absorb all the Palestinians easily. And, and in,
- 25:02Speaker 2: you know, the point is they, they don't want to, right.
- 25:04Speaker 2: That's the, I've been, and for anyone's wondering, I've been
- 25:07Speaker 2: to refugee camps in, Jordan, the biggest refugee camp, I think,
- 25:12Speaker 2: at one point in the world, in Zaatari, and right
- 25:16Speaker 2: along the Syrian border. And guess what? They want to
- 25:19Speaker 2: go to Sweden. They don't want to go back to Syria.
- 25:21Speaker 2: The Palestinians don't want to go to Egypt. They want
- 25:25Speaker 2: to stay where they are or go somewhere nicer. And
- 25:30Speaker 2: there's a whole bunch of reasons for why that is.
- 25:33Speaker 2: But I would just say the Muslim Brotherhood stuff... I
- 25:39Speaker 2: hear here's what I will say about this, Clay. You
- 25:43Speaker 2: may be correct, although I think probably not. But you
- 25:46Speaker 2: may end up being right that there's some movement in
- 25:49Speaker 2: the Jewish vote that matters in Michigan, in Michigan against Al-Sayed.
- 25:56Speaker 2: I also think. that every time he hammers this. Now,
- 26:01Speaker 2: you might also be right that 99% of the Muslim
- 26:03Speaker 2: vote is going to go, and I don't know if
- 26:06Speaker 2: it's 99%, but an overwhelming majority of the Muslim vote
- 26:08Speaker 2: in Michigan is going to go for Abdul El-Sayed. But
- 26:12Speaker 2: you're also running up those numbers with the Muslim Brotherhood
- 26:14Speaker 2: talk all the time. I may be missing something, but
- 26:20Speaker 2: I just don't think that There must be some internal
- 26:22Speaker 2: polling or something they see that talking about the Muslim
- 26:25Speaker 2: Brotherhood like it'll get views on Fox News. I don't
- 26:28Speaker 2: think it's winning over persuadable voters.
- 26:31Speaker 1: I think it does, because I think it other rises
- 26:34Speaker 1: for all these guys in the and gals in the
- 26:38Speaker 1: northern peninsula of Michigan who are big time Trump supporters.
- 26:42Speaker 1: I think it. creates a strong disconnect between the average
- 26:48Speaker 1: Michigander and Abdul El-Sayed. Now, to your point, Buck, this
- 26:53Speaker 1: Mike Rogers answer I thought was really good, that Abdul
- 26:58Speaker 1: El-Sayed actually has no answers. Michigan has been in Democrat
- 27:05Speaker 1: control for over eight years now. They haven't had any
- 27:09Speaker 1: Republican statewide elected officials to a substantial degree, both senators,
- 27:14Speaker 1: the governor. But here he is saying, cut nine, he
- 27:19Speaker 1: doesn't have any economic solution. And I think this is important. Again,
- 27:24Speaker 1: cut nine.
- 27:25Speaker 5: Think of all of the three things he just talked about.
- 27:27Speaker 5: Putting money in your pockets. It's a great slogan. There's
- 27:30Speaker 5: nothing behind it. Matter of fact, when his new Democrat
- 27:32Speaker 5: Socialist Align policies are engaged, money in your pocket, you'll
- 27:35Speaker 5: be lucky to have.
- 27:36Speaker 1: A damn pair of pants when you're done. Medicare for all.
- 27:40Speaker 5: He doesn't tell you how much taxes you have to
- 27:42Speaker 5: get charged and you lose your private health insurance.
- 27:46Speaker 2: These aren't real solutions.
- 27:47Speaker 5: These are solutions that are going to make your life
- 27:50Speaker 5: more miserable and it's going to take away your choices
- 27:52Speaker 5: in health care.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Again, I think this is a key point.
- 27:57Speaker 5: Yes.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Yeah, that, I mean, look, he's hitting the right things too.
- 28:01Speaker 2: I'm just wondering if, you know, the moment that you
- 28:04Speaker 2: start talking about Here's really what it is, Clay. For me,
- 28:08Speaker 2: it's when he starts discussing Muslim Brotherhood, Abdul Alsaid, all
- 28:11Speaker 2: this stuff. For some people, it starts to trigger Iran war,
- 28:16Speaker 2: gas price. I just think there's such fatigue among a
- 28:22Speaker 2: lot of Americans in places like Michigan who maybe are
- 28:26Speaker 2: open to voting or not voting this time around. I
- 28:29Speaker 2: think there's just so much Middle East fatigue already with
- 28:32Speaker 2: the Iran stuff. So I don't. You'll notice I have
- 28:36Speaker 2: heard a lot less of the, oh, it was worth
- 28:39Speaker 2: it even if gas prices are high talk.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Which is good.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Because that's not helpful. Even if you believe that's true,
- 28:44Speaker 2: it's not helpful right now to say, yeah, our Iran
- 28:47Speaker 2: conflict stuff, we had to stop them from getting a nuke.
- 28:49Speaker 2: So the price of gas was a price we had
- 28:51Speaker 2: to be willing to pay. Talk about that after the midterms.
- 28:54Speaker 2: It's not good right now.
- 28:56Speaker 1: I do think the Iran war has taken a substantial
- 29:00Speaker 1: backseat in conversation because things are calm enough now there.
- 29:05Speaker 1: The Wall Street Journal this morning front page article is
- 29:10Speaker 1: that more oil and gas is coming out of the
- 29:13Speaker 1: Middle East now than before the war started. And I
- 29:18Speaker 1: do think that the fact that prices have largely stabilized. Now,
- 29:23Speaker 1: what is Trump going to do after the midterm? I
- 29:26Speaker 1: think that is a large decision. Heck, what are Jewish
- 29:29Speaker 1: voters going to do in Israel with their presidential election
- 29:33Speaker 1: coming up on October 27th, even before ours? A lot
- 29:38Speaker 1: to be determined still in. the Middle East. But that
- 29:42Speaker 1: battle in Michigan, one of the four or five that
- 29:46Speaker 1: will decide Senate control and Senate control is going to
- 29:51Speaker 1: matter a great deal. And I would just point out
- 29:54Speaker 1: whoever gets elected this year is in office until the
- 29:59Speaker 1: January of $ 33? I mean, that's a long time. We're
- 30:05Speaker 1: going to be talking about $ 28 for a while, but
- 30:07Speaker 1: these six-year Senate terms, whatever frustration you have right now,
- 30:13Speaker 1: does Michigan really think that Abdul El-Sayed is going to
- 30:16Speaker 1: be the best representative for their state over the next
- 30:19Speaker 1: six years? That's a tremendous amount of time. That's two
- 30:24Speaker 1: different presidential election cycles that he's going to be in office,
- 30:29Speaker 1: regardless of what you think. Do you want him there
- 30:32Speaker 1: for six years? A big decision.
- 30:35Speaker 2: It is indeed. So continue to look at this. Also,
- 30:37Speaker 2: if you're a Michigander, call us. Let's talk Michigan. Let's
- 30:42Speaker 2: talk Michigan. I know we got all 50 states listening,
- 30:45Speaker 2: but we want to dial into that one for a
- 30:47Speaker 2: second here. So we'll put you at the front of
- 30:48Speaker 2: the line. Others, we'll get to your calls, too. So
- 30:50Speaker 2: we'll see what we got. Okay, Preborn shared some really
- 30:54Speaker 2: amazing news this month. It's a good news status report
- 30:57Speaker 2: on their success this year. With the network of clinics
- 30:59Speaker 2: Preborn has across the country, get ready for this one.
- 31:02Speaker 2: They have saved the lives of 50,000 babies in just
- 31:06Speaker 2: the first six months of the year. Think about all
- 31:09Speaker 2: the joy those babies will bring those families for years
- 31:11Speaker 2: to come. And how does this all happen? Well, Preborn
- 31:15Speaker 2: clinics nationwide operate because of your donations. They need your support.
- 31:19Speaker 2: That's how they're able to function. And what they do
- 31:22Speaker 2: is welcome mothers into their clinics who are considering abortion
- 31:25Speaker 2: and say, hold on a second, let's give you an
- 31:27Speaker 2: ultrasound and let's give you love and support and kindness
- 31:31Speaker 2: so that you'll have this baby and we'll help you.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Preborn will help them for two years after the birth
- 31:35Speaker 2: of the baby with all kinds of really material, meaningful assistance.
- 31:41Speaker 2: So here's the thing. For a lot of you, it
- 31:43Speaker 2: would be amazing if you could donate whatever you can, $ 50, $ 100,
- 31:46Speaker 2: that would be helpful to the mission. But it's the
- 31:50Speaker 2: time of year where it's worth thinking about this. If
- 31:52Speaker 2: you're a business owner, would you consider a larger donation
- 31:56Speaker 2: so you can claim a write-off? Remember, Preborn is a 100%
- 32:00Speaker 2: tax-deductible charity. A donation of $ 1, 000 or $ 2, 000 would go
- 32:05Speaker 2: a very long way toward buying an ultrasound machine. And
- 32:08Speaker 2: in fact, a $ 15, 000 donation, which some of you have
- 32:12Speaker 2: done in the past, and that is an incredibly generous
- 32:15Speaker 2: and wonderful thing to do, A $ 15, 000 donation would sponsor
- 32:18Speaker 2: an entire ultrasound clinic machine. And Preborn will use this
- 32:25Speaker 2: for years and years to come. All gifts are tax deductible.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Go to preborn.com slash buck. That's preborn.com slash buck. Sponsored
- 32:33Speaker 2: by Preborn.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Smart.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Fun.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Sane.
- 32:38Speaker 2: The Clay and Buck Show.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Here every day for your listening pleasure.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Welcome back in here to Clay and Buck. We have
- 32:47Speaker 2: A lot of talkbacks and calls to get to. We'll
- 32:49Speaker 2: also dive back in with the latest on these midterms.
- 32:53Speaker 2: And maybe we'll talk a little bit of some of
- 32:56Speaker 2: the latest in AI and Elon's world as well, my friend.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Mike in Texas. This is Talkback A. Hit it.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Hey, Clint.
- 33:06Speaker 6: I spent a couple of days in Nashville over the
- 33:10Speaker 6: weekend last week.
- 33:12Speaker 5: And.
- 33:13Speaker 1: What a great town you have. Did all the touristy
- 33:16Speaker 1: things and the Opry. It was awesome. So just wanted
- 33:20Speaker 1: to tell you, had a great time.
- 33:22Speaker 2: It's a great city.
- 33:23Speaker 1: It's true. It's a fantastic city. Good one to come visit. Safe.
- 33:26Speaker 1: You know what I did last night, Buck? I'm going
- 33:28Speaker 1: to out myself. I went to go watch Journey, which
- 33:32Speaker 1: is they're on their final tour. Laura was there. Thank
- 33:35Speaker 1: you to Shannon Bream and her husband, Sheldon. They live
- 33:41Speaker 1: a decent amount of the year now in the Nashville area.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Sage Steele and her husband, Dave, there were a lot
- 33:46Speaker 1: of people there, all went to watch the concert. Buck,
- 33:51Speaker 1: I missed Don't Stop Believing, the most famous song of Journey.
- 33:56Speaker 2: How did you miss that?
- 33:58Speaker 1: I went to go get pizza and a beer back
- 34:00Speaker 1: in the concourse because I thought there's no way they
- 34:04Speaker 1: will play it. It will definitely be the final song
- 34:07Speaker 1: that they play. And I came back out And I
- 34:11Speaker 1: had missed Don't Stop. I thought I was being pranked.
- 34:14Speaker 1: I thought they were mocking me. And instead, I had
- 34:18Speaker 1: actually missed the Don't Stop Believing.
- 34:21Speaker 2: That's a rookie mistake, buddy. That's a rookie mistake right there.
- 34:25Speaker 2: You got to know when Don't Stop Believing is. Apparently,
- 34:27Speaker 2: you kind of did Stop Believing for a minute. No,
- 34:31Speaker 2: Ali's asking a good question. No, in that area where
- 34:35Speaker 2: I was, they actually played different music. So I didn't
- 34:40Speaker 2: even know. I came back out, and I thought I
- 34:42Speaker 2: was being pranked when they said, man, you just missed
- 34:44Speaker 2: Don't Stop Believing. All right, I called for Michigan callers.
- 34:47Speaker 2: You guys all lit us up for Michigan. Let's start
- 34:49Speaker 2: with Anthony, Michigan election. What are you seeing, buddy?
- 34:54Speaker 8: Yeah, actually, I stay in Dearborn. I'm fairly involved with
- 34:57Speaker 8: the political space there. And I would actually say that
- 35:02Speaker 8: focusing on Abdullah Saeed's ties to places like the Muslim
- 35:05Speaker 8: Brotherhood is actually really important because it can determine the
- 35:11Speaker 8: type of candidate that goes forward from the Muslim community.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Thank you for the call. I mean, look, Buck, your argument,
- 35:18Speaker 1: and this is where we come down on different sides here,
- 35:21Speaker 1: your argument is that attacking him for muslim brotherhood connections
- 35:27Speaker 1: actually benefits him because it reinforces for the arab community
- 35:31Speaker 1: that he's one of them and that they will show
