- 0:01Speaker 2: Before we start this episode, we have a really exciting
- 0:04Speaker 2: thing coming up on our Patreon. I recently lost a
- 0:07Speaker 2: bet and had to write a musical in an entire day,
- 0:10Speaker 2: and that musical happened to have to be about Lemon
- 0:14Speaker 2: to Lemon, the guy who introduced Vanilla to Hollywood, a
- 0:18Speaker 2: Jeremy character from the two hundred person panel.
- 0:20Speaker 1: And now we're gonna read it live. We got Miles
- 0:23Speaker 1: bon signor, Paul F. Tompkins and way too many other
- 0:25Speaker 1: people helping us out do the live reading on August
- 0:29Speaker 1: twenty third, Sunday at three pm Pacific time.
- 0:33Speaker 3: It is a live stream event, so get your tickets
- 0:36Speaker 3: on the Patreon ten dollars tier.
- 0:38Speaker 4: Head to the Patreon. It's gonna be so much fun.
- 0:40Speaker 4: We hope to see you guys there.
- 0:41Speaker 5: We don't know what it's gonna be.
- 0:43Speaker 6: We're so excited.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Bye.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Enjoying the episode, Welcome back to Artists on Artists on
- 0:52Speaker 3: Artists on Artists. This week on the show, we have
- 0:55Speaker 3: some fun artists artists that work alone.
- 0:57Speaker 5: It's one people shows.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Solo shows are a specific art form where one person
- 1:03Speaker 1: puts on an entire play by themselves. One man shows,
- 1:07Speaker 1: one woman shows, one people shows. They're specific to the
- 1:10Speaker 1: artist and reveal a lot about them.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Whether it's talking about your traumatic life backstory or doing
- 1:19Speaker 3: a musical all by yourself. These musicals and plays are
- 1:24Speaker 3: tour deforces.
- 1:26Speaker 1: So sit back, relax, and get ready for no intermission.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Let's listen in. Wow, unbelievable. I'm so excited to be
- 1:37Speaker 1: with you guys.
- 1:38Speaker 4: This is literally so cool.
- 1:41Speaker 1: This is so cool.
- 1:43Speaker 4: I can feel the artist's energy and the house tonight.
- 1:47Speaker 6: Syah, yeah, I'm sorry.
- 1:52Speaker 1: This is well.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Also, can I just say, like, right off the bat,
- 1:55Speaker 4: like working on a solo show can be so isolating, right,
- 1:59Speaker 4: it can be the most isolating experience and unless you
- 2:02Speaker 4: have a director like bounce things off of like, it's
- 2:05Speaker 4: just you and the work all day long. And so
- 2:09Speaker 4: to see other people who are going through this city.
- 2:14Speaker 1: It's so good. I love books. I always say I
- 2:19Speaker 1: always say, who's my biggest biggest critic? My journal? There,
- 2:25Speaker 1: I'm like, who's my second biggest critic?
- 2:27Speaker 5: All my tech cues, Yes, it's.
- 2:30Speaker 4: My biggest critic.
- 2:32Speaker 1: My cue lab file huge.
- 2:37Speaker 6: I think my biggest critic is probably Jesus Christ.
- 2:40Speaker 5: Yeah, whoa Christ critic?
- 2:44Speaker 6: Christ? Is your critic.
- 2:45Speaker 2: He doesn't.
- 2:46Speaker 4: He's not with you.
- 2:47Speaker 6: Oh he is with me, is with me all the time.
- 2:50Speaker 6: And as someone who you know, sort of going into
- 2:53Speaker 6: this journey and sort of making my own show, sort
- 2:56Speaker 6: of telling me story and sort of being a vulnerable
- 2:59Speaker 6: in that way, it's it's really crazy to sort of
- 3:03Speaker 6: have this experience and to think to yourself as you're
- 3:06Speaker 6: on stage and you're thinking, Wow, that's my purpose. Literally chills,
- 3:13Speaker 6: I know, And that's God.
- 3:16Speaker 5: Sometimes I feel like a theater magic work for me personally.
- 3:19Speaker 4: I think I think the work is like living for sure.
- 3:21Speaker 1: It's work for sure.
- 3:23Speaker 7: The audience too.
- 3:25Speaker 4: Theater aspect of it.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Yeah, Like, and I just want to say thank you,
- 3:29Speaker 1: Like we were joking around for you to bring us
- 3:31Speaker 1: to a like for me, for you to bring me
- 3:35Speaker 1: to a place that reminded me of the importance of
- 3:37Speaker 1: what we are doing as individuals. Really reminded me the
- 3:41Speaker 1: importance of what we're doing. Ye, the beauty and the
- 3:44Speaker 1: art and the I mean Dionysus, you know, to pay
- 3:48Speaker 1: homage to the Greek god himself.
- 3:51Speaker 5: The god of theater and tradition.
- 3:53Speaker 8: Yes, yes, but thank you and wine and why did
- 3:57Speaker 8: you have more to say all.
- 3:58Speaker 1: That I did, but it's all right. I just wanted to.
- 4:01Speaker 6: Piggyback off that for a second. You know, you sort
- 4:02Speaker 6: of mentioned dan Isis and although we do kind of
- 4:07Speaker 6: in terms of theater and sort of like the old
- 4:11Speaker 6: world and sort of like you know, you think about
- 4:13Speaker 6: like the old like Roman Greek choruses and stuff like that,
- 4:16Speaker 6: but at the same time, I do I do kind
- 4:19Speaker 6: of want to steer away from talking about like other
- 4:22Speaker 6: deities totally because I do think just if I could
- 4:26Speaker 6: just I just wanted to say that, like, in terms
- 4:29Speaker 6: of telling a story and being on stage by yourself
- 4:34Speaker 6: and being one directed with source, that is sort of
- 4:37Speaker 6: the main energy at play. That is sort of like
- 4:40Speaker 6: the drop in story, right, And if you're in the
- 4:43Speaker 6: drop in story, then you're in the drop in phase.
- 4:47Speaker 2: If I could just say too, like, and I totally
- 4:49Speaker 2: respect your faith, but to be honest, I don't know.
- 4:52Speaker 6: It's not about faith.
- 4:53Speaker 1: It's about source, Okay, So I respect your source.
- 4:56Speaker 7: But for relationship, so I respect your relationship.
- 4:58Speaker 2: There's just a lot of them, So I think I
- 5:00Speaker 2: want to leave open room space for that, if I.
- 5:02Speaker 6: Can ask you for a second, because I'm the kind
- 5:04Speaker 6: of person I'm just so like just so like curious
- 5:07Speaker 6: about people.
- 5:08Speaker 5: That's so, yeah, that's interesting.
- 5:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm a curious little kitten.
- 5:14Speaker 6: I can ask, I know, but I'm speaking if I
- 5:16Speaker 6: could ask, what is your show about?
- 5:19Speaker 1: So my show is about your show? Like I've heard
- 5:29Speaker 1: about all your shows. I haven't been able to see
- 5:30Speaker 1: any of them. I'm really excited to, like, so you
- 5:32Speaker 1: go ahead.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, great, Yeah, So my show is called My
- 5:36Speaker 2: Messy Exes and it's my relationship with every religion. Right,
- 5:40Speaker 2: I've tried every religion in my life, and I basically
- 5:44Speaker 2: come out as every single god you've ever heard, and
- 5:47Speaker 2: I perform as some sort of messy X like you're
- 5:50Speaker 2: on tender Like I'm an ex calling you back like
- 5:52Speaker 2: on a bad date.
- 5:53Speaker 7: So I do Jesus Christ.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Jesus Christ is messy and sloppy and is really guilty
- 5:59Speaker 2: and toxic.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Right, And then I come out as Vishnu.
- 6:02Speaker 8: Right.
- 6:03Speaker 2: And then I come out as Muhammad, and then I
- 6:05Speaker 2: come out as you know, you come out.
- 6:07Speaker 1: As you do because for me, I've tried them all. Okay,
- 6:13Speaker 1: I'd come out as every single type and you.
- 6:15Speaker 4: And how long were you practicing Islam?
- 6:17Speaker 7: For about six months in college.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Okay, so you can, and so you would know that
- 6:23Speaker 1: the biggest gravest you can do is babe.
- 6:27Speaker 4: Genuinely, like maybe one of the most disrespectful things you
- 6:30Speaker 4: can of course.
- 6:31Speaker 2: And guess what, but I go there right like just
- 6:34Speaker 2: sweet Charlie, you know what I mean, Like I'm like, Charlie,
- 6:36Speaker 2: hebdo Oh.
- 6:37Speaker 1: God, oh god.
- 6:39Speaker 8: Okay, So one thing I do like about you, Okay,
- 6:42Speaker 8: I'm interesting and I push the boundaries like that's for
- 6:45Speaker 8: me solo shows, I push the boundaries and you walk
- 6:49Speaker 8: in and there I am, and I'm breastfeeding, like literally
- 6:52Speaker 8: breastfeeding and frank like that's what I'm using.
- 6:57Speaker 4: Well, it's okay because I'll be real. We were all
- 7:00Speaker 4: the other night where we did Jolly Fringe Sampler, which
- 7:05Speaker 4: is a show where you do ten minutes of each
- 7:08Speaker 4: show and it's sort of like an advertisement to get
- 7:11Speaker 4: people out to see your show. And picking ten minutes
- 7:14Speaker 4: out of one hour was so hard, but you your
- 7:18Speaker 4: ten minutes was so interesting because it like it you
- 7:22Speaker 4: got all of these texts to come up from all
- 7:25Speaker 4: the gods and they were texting you like it was
- 7:27Speaker 4: really hooty calls and it was like really funny.
- 7:30Speaker 2: The different gods trying to booty call me and try
- 7:32Speaker 2: to get me to have sex with them aka part
- 7:35Speaker 2: of their religion, because religion to me is a sex cult.
- 7:40Speaker 7: Anyways, my name is.
- 7:42Speaker 2: A Chauncey feather Butt, and I'm so excited to be here,
- 7:47Speaker 2: and I love pushing the boundaries like South Park has
- 7:51Speaker 2: gone limp and it's time for me to step in.
- 7:54Speaker 5: That's I've never heard anybody say something like that.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I just want to be edgier and I want
- 8:00Speaker 2: to go pushing it and I'm loving doing it. I
- 8:03Speaker 2: want to apologize. I think you've gone behind me. I
- 8:06Speaker 2: want to polize for going forty minutes long.
- 8:08Speaker 1: It's all right, I'm totally all right. It's okay, it's
- 8:10Speaker 1: all right. Speak. I guess I'll go.
- 8:14Speaker 6: I thought we were okay.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Oh yeah, no you go.
- 8:15Speaker 6: No, no, you.
- 8:18Speaker 7: Have a discuestion because I've really wanting to talk to you.
- 8:22Speaker 1: I think you should go.
- 8:23Speaker 6: No no, no, no, no, no no no seriously seriously you go
- 8:26Speaker 6: no seriously no.
- 8:27Speaker 4: No no you Yeah, I don't have to tagle.
- 8:31Speaker 7: I can't.
- 8:31Speaker 6: I can't go honestly, I can go last, you can
- 8:33Speaker 6: go next. I can go last. It is not a
- 8:35Speaker 6: big My name is.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Daisy Man and I am the author, creator, director, lighting designer,
- 8:45Speaker 4: marketing designer, social media coordinator, choreographer, musician and director.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Of the solo show To.
- 8:55Speaker 4: Hell and Back. And this is about It's about my journey.
- 9:04Speaker 5: Don't cry, I'll cry stop. I'm gonna get through this.
- 9:07Speaker 4: I've done eighteen shows already. I have to be able
- 9:10Speaker 4: to get through.
- 9:10Speaker 5: This without crying.
- 9:11Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 9:12Speaker 4: When I was twelve years old, I was fully set
- 9:18Speaker 4: at school in Beverly Hills. I had friends, I had
- 9:21Speaker 4: everything I could ever wanted. And then my family moved
- 9:25Speaker 4: me to San Diego. Fuck, and my entire world was
- 9:30Speaker 4: flipped upside down overnight.
- 9:32Speaker 5: All of a sudden.
- 9:34Speaker 4: My peers were not child stars, working actors, photographers, models, artists.
- 9:40Speaker 4: They were surfers.
- 9:42Speaker 6: Yeah, it's so hard, and in San Diego is fucking
- 9:45Speaker 6: awful it thank you for saying that.
- 9:48Speaker 4: Yeah, because it is hell. And so it's a mix
- 9:51Speaker 4: of storytelling, a little bit of song. It's also a
- 9:56Speaker 4: little bit of I pay homage to the odyssey as well,
- 10:00Speaker 4: because moving to San Diego was sort of my odyssey
- 10:04Speaker 4: and uh, so far, Yeah, it's so far, and so
- 10:08Speaker 4: it really was this this sort of like hellish journey
- 10:12Speaker 4: that I am really excited to tell on stage. And
- 10:17Speaker 4: I'm just can't believe that I get the opportunity to
- 10:21Speaker 4: do so, can.
- 10:22Speaker 3: I say, like you taking the hellish journey back and
- 10:26Speaker 3: reliving it every night on stage?
- 10:29Speaker 5: I can't imagine the.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Cathartic energy you're having this summer, like the cathartic transformation
- 10:34Speaker 3: you're having.
- 10:35Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I mean it's been a lot of healing, right, yeah,
- 10:39Speaker 4: And I know that, like I know, I know, I
- 10:41Speaker 4: know solo show is not therapy. A solo show is
- 10:44Speaker 4: not therapy.
- 10:45Speaker 6: That's like it is, right, Yeah, I'm sorry. Can I
- 10:49Speaker 6: hug you?
- 10:49Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, I'd actually love that.
- 10:53Speaker 6: I just sort of feel like like it's tuned. Like
- 10:56Speaker 6: I'm just I don't want to like give you just
- 10:58Speaker 6: like a little bit of love, no, honestly, because and
- 11:00Speaker 6: I wanted to thank you, like thank you for sharing
- 11:03Speaker 6: that story and thank you for being but because a
- 11:05Speaker 6: lot of receptives are not vulnerable like that, but you are,
- 11:09Speaker 6: and so I do appreciate you being.
- 11:11Speaker 4: I just like I just like so much coming from you, of.
- 11:13Speaker 6: Course, and I just want to share I'm like, I
- 11:15Speaker 6: love you like just sort of an a jentle.
- 11:17Speaker 5: Oh my god, can I say that I love you?
- 11:19Speaker 1: My god.
- 11:21Speaker 6: I feel like we would love to do like goat
- 11:23Speaker 6: yoga together.
- 11:24Speaker 4: Oh my god, yoga.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Actually I've got.
- 11:30Speaker 4: Dog yoga yoga.
- 11:31Speaker 6: I'll do whatever you want to do.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 11:33Speaker 6: I'd love to hang out and get coffee or something. Say,
- 11:37Speaker 6: of course, are we done, guys, We're done.
- 11:43Speaker 7: I just wanted to say.
- 11:44Speaker 6: That, what were you guys texting each other?
- 11:45Speaker 1: Nothing? No, we were texting, you were I wasn't texting.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I I'm not on anybody's text threats. So what it's
- 11:57Speaker 1: all right? I'm kind of is the text the text
- 12:01Speaker 1: third killer? I've post a meme or something like that,
- 12:04Speaker 1: and for some reason it just goes silent.
- 12:06Speaker 5: I think somebody only said that like once.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Yeah, no, maybe, well I guess I'll go. My name
- 12:11Speaker 1: is Spencer Ruffian and my show is called own Nuts.
- 12:17Speaker 1: It's kind of a crazy show about the exploration of
- 12:22Speaker 1: like nuts, and I use nuts on stage kind of
- 12:25Speaker 1: like show and ultimately really it's like this funny like
- 12:29Speaker 1: clown show about like nuts. But really what it's about
- 12:32Speaker 1: is like, am I straight?
- 12:33Speaker 2: Right?
- 12:33Speaker 7: Because you read about clown classes, right?
- 12:35Speaker 1: I read about clown classes. That sounds so fun, but
- 12:39Speaker 1: I couldn't afford it because headshots and like acting classes
- 12:44Speaker 1: and comercial classes and so I couldn't afford it. So
- 12:46Speaker 1: I was like, I will take it by doing. I
- 12:51Speaker 1: will do my own show to take a clown class,
- 12:53Speaker 1: because like that's la, that's like the grind set. That's
- 12:57Speaker 1: you need to like.
- 12:58Speaker 3: When you want to learn a language and you have
- 12:59Speaker 3: to go to like a nut their country and just
- 13:01Speaker 3: like fall into it.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Yeah, So like my show is like ultimately like am
- 13:04Speaker 1: I straight? Because it's like a question I've had for
- 13:07Speaker 1: a long time and the good the good or bad news?
- 13:09Speaker 1: Is I am straight?
- 13:11Speaker 4: Like yeah, oh my god, you spoiled the egg.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Well, like it's like the spoiler helps.
- 13:18Speaker 4: You can say, can I give you a compliment? Your
- 13:22Speaker 4: stage is so messy after thank you? Do you shower
- 13:27Speaker 4: on the floor?
- 13:27Speaker 1: It is covered in any imagine nutshells covered in loop.
- 13:33Speaker 5: And that's like your skin, like you are cad.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I kind of like an ugly little gremlin creature
- 13:41Speaker 1: covered in like puss and stuff like that that discovers
- 13:44Speaker 1: a nut and it just goes but zoinkers from there
- 13:47Speaker 1: and the things you.
- 13:47Speaker 7: Ask the audience to do I've never seen anyone ask no.
- 13:51Speaker 1: The best thing about my shows is one, you're gonna
- 13:54Speaker 1: see my penis. Two, I'm gonna make somebody in the
- 13:57Speaker 1: audience so deeply uncomfortable they'll question their own sanity. And
- 14:02Speaker 1: three at one point at the end of the show,
- 14:05Speaker 1: you'll be moved like that's again.
- 14:06Speaker 6: I really liked the opening scene when you kind of
- 14:09Speaker 6: hatch out of that egg. Yes, I thought that.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Was really beautiful because like for me, that was like
- 14:13Speaker 1: my that was the question, this looming question, hatching out
- 14:18Speaker 1: of the egg? Am I straight?
- 14:19Speaker 3: Can I ask what the like what the significance of
- 14:23Speaker 3: making the audience member the nut chugger?
- 14:26Speaker 1: Like, I just think that's funny, Like like it just.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Feels weird to give one audience member like all this
- 14:31Speaker 3: bucket of nuts.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Yeah, to chug there the chug nut chugger, And it's
- 14:34Speaker 1: like hard because it's like big hazel nuts, Like they
- 14:36Speaker 1: can't chug a hazel nut.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Have you ever had someone say no to being the
- 14:39Speaker 4: nut chugging?
- 14:41Speaker 5: Yeah, that's awkward.
- 14:44Speaker 7: Does that happen?
- 14:45Speaker 1: It's so funny it happened once. I know you can't
- 14:49Speaker 1: say no. What did you do Yeah, I said, I
- 14:51Speaker 1: gave it to them anyway, and they loved it, I think.
- 14:54Speaker 1: And then so everyone else has been chugging nuts. Everybody
- 14:57Speaker 1: else's kind of then sat there going like what do
- 14:59Speaker 1: I do?
- 14:59Speaker 6: And I what if someone's allergic to nuts?
- 15:05Speaker 1: Chugging a nuts? What chugged? Oh?
- 15:08Speaker 5: This is you playing like the closet version of yes
- 15:11Speaker 5: do I like?
- 15:13Speaker 1: Oh yeah?
- 15:14Speaker 4: When you switch back and forth between the closet version
- 15:16Speaker 4: and the outside version.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Like literally it's like like, oh, yeah, I guess I'm
- 15:20Speaker 1: just like, uh yeah, I'll see you later. Richard. He's
- 15:24Speaker 1: that my best friend. I like his nuts. There. I
- 15:27Speaker 1: was wondering what was going to happen for the rest
- 15:30Speaker 1: of my life the way Yeah, I saw that. That
- 15:32Speaker 1: was crazy.
- 15:33Speaker 6: Sorry, sorry, No you can you can go if you
- 15:39Speaker 6: want to.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Yeah, do you want to go? No?
- 15:41Speaker 6: No, no, no you can go.
- 15:42Speaker 2: I can go.
- 15:43Speaker 6: No no, no, I can go last. It's okay, No
- 15:44Speaker 6: you should go. No no, no, I can go last.
- 15:46Speaker 6: But you weren't done, and I don't want to step
- 15:48Speaker 6: on your time.
- 15:48Speaker 1: I was so I was done yesterday, Queen can I can.
- 15:55Speaker 6: Everyone's getting I just sort of feel so like moved
- 15:59Speaker 6: by your story nice and I just I mean, it
- 16:01Speaker 6: must be really really hard to like question your sexuality
- 16:04Speaker 6: like that, you know what I mean, like really really hard.
- 16:07Speaker 1: I felt like the process was super vulnerable, and.
- 16:09Speaker 6: Like it's just beautiful, like real really vulnerable.
- 16:12Speaker 7: It's amazing you found at the end you're not.
- 16:13Speaker 6: Gay, Yeah, to sort of come right back around like yeah, like.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Sometimes like when you ask a question, you already know
- 16:20Speaker 1: the answer. But I had to do all that soul
- 16:22Speaker 1: searching because I feel like for my career had been
- 16:24Speaker 1: like so much better if I was by.
- 16:28Speaker 6: Yeah, well queer is really like in right now really so.
- 16:32Speaker 4: One person shows Yeah, it would make the whole process
- 16:35Speaker 4: so much easier, really, you know, the whole solo show
- 16:37Speaker 4: process so much easier.
- 16:39Speaker 6: You know.
- 16:40Speaker 7: What I keep finding is that the appetite for watching
- 16:44Speaker 7: people talk about.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Being by is really huge huge.
- 16:48Speaker 2: People are excited when it's brought up at any sort
- 16:50Speaker 2: of show, and they love when they dive into it.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Because it's Yeah.
- 16:55Speaker 3: My favorite part though, is when you finally say that
- 16:57Speaker 3: you are not gay, and if the nutshrug is finished
- 17:00Speaker 3: with the bucket of nuts at the bottom of the
- 17:02Speaker 3: nut bucket, it says not get.
- 17:04Speaker 1: So you could get it spoiled earlier.
- 17:06Speaker 6: You have to to get through all of the nuts
- 17:08Speaker 6: to figure out, like where.
- 17:09Speaker 1: It was my journey, Like I had to get through
- 17:11Speaker 1: all of the nuts to realize I'm straight. That's amazing, Like,
- 17:14Speaker 1: I thought that was so cool.
- 17:16Speaker 6: It was really beautiful.
- 17:17Speaker 1: That actually came to me in a dream. Well, like
- 17:21Speaker 1: I would. I would I would like the idea that
- 17:23Speaker 1: it came to me in a dream, If that makes sense.
- 17:26Speaker 4: Yeah, like that, I would like, Like, I think that
- 17:28Speaker 4: would be a cool idea that.
- 17:33Speaker 3: The idea of it being in a dream, Well to
- 17:35Speaker 3: be if I had a dream like this, that's a
- 17:37Speaker 3: dream itself.
- 17:39Speaker 6: Dream, that's a day dream. Thank you, that's a day dream.
- 17:44Speaker 6: Gave me in a day dream, because every every thought
- 17:48Speaker 6: is a dream within itself, and every thought is sort.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Of a is a prayer to sorce I'm sorry, I'm
- 17:54Speaker 1: taking up too much space right now. One of you
- 17:57Speaker 1: have to introduce yourself.
- 18:00Speaker 6: Okay, Okay, you got this. I'm sorry, I'm just like
- 18:07Speaker 6: kind of nervous. It's okay if I go right, yes, yes,
- 18:12Speaker 6: this is your Okay. My name is Sydney Keivler and
- 18:16Speaker 6: mothhemer and uh and my one woman show my One
- 18:24Speaker 6: Girl Show, One Lady show, I guess I should say,
- 18:26Speaker 6: is called Bully question Mark, and it's about the fact
- 18:30Speaker 6: that a lot of people that I went to school
- 18:33Speaker 6: with do claim that I was a very violent bully
- 18:36Speaker 6: to them. I don't necessarily remember it that way. If
- 18:42Speaker 6: if you were to push me up against a wall,
- 18:44Speaker 6: and that sort of be my answer, And so it's
- 18:48Speaker 6: sort of it's sort of an exploration of lost memory
- 18:53Speaker 6: and sort of an exploration of grief.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:58Speaker 6: Yeah, it's just touching me and of finding you know,
- 19:01Speaker 6: those that those that think you bully are sometimes just
- 19:05Speaker 6: bullying themselves and it has nothing to do with you.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Literally.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I will play just so just because I you know,
- 19:12Speaker 2: play the devil in my show, because I was saying
- 19:15Speaker 2: this for a bit, I want to play Devil's advocate
- 19:17Speaker 2: a little bit here.
- 19:17Speaker 6: Of course, this is interesting.
- 19:19Speaker 4: Oh oh, do it as your Devil's Advocate character.
- 19:22Speaker 7: Devil's advocate, I'm thet is.
- 19:29Speaker 1: The devil gay, the Devil's gay in mind his advocate
- 19:31Speaker 1: is also gay.
- 19:32Speaker 5: The advocate is also did you use Alexander technique for that?
- 19:36Speaker 6: I did, Yeah, I could tell you, you know I
- 19:38Speaker 6: did as well.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Amazing, So I just want.
- 19:41Speaker 6: There's also a singing aspect as well, and then at
- 19:43Speaker 6: the end I do an interpretive ribbon dance about the
- 19:46Speaker 6: first time I got my period.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Right, So just real quickly, thank you for Devil's Advocate, Right,
- 19:51Speaker 2: Like you say, like you you portray the people who
- 19:55Speaker 2: are accusing you of bullying you, but you portray them
- 19:59Speaker 2: in a way that if I was that person, I
- 20:01Speaker 2: think I might perceive it as bullying.
- 20:03Speaker 6: Well, so I portrayed the people that have come forward
- 20:05Speaker 6: in the last ten years or so that have come
- 20:06Speaker 6: forward and have said that I was a bully. I
- 20:09Speaker 6: portrayed them as dirty little.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Rats, right, So like maybe, like you, when you read
- 20:13Speaker 1: the deposition, can you do that?
- 20:15Speaker 6: So the first rats, so I'm in sort of like
- 20:17Speaker 6: this New York alleyway when I was in theater school,
- 20:20Speaker 6: and so it's called Rat number one for those of
- 20:24Speaker 6: you that have seen it's it's the rat number one piece.
- 20:26Speaker 6: And so when Rat number one comes on and they're like, yeah,
- 20:31Speaker 6: I can't let.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Me die.
- 20:35Speaker 6: Day, and so that sort of signals that, you know,
- 20:41Speaker 6: you go to school, maybe maybe you think someone's being
- 20:43Speaker 6: a bully to you just because they're blond, and just
- 20:45Speaker 6: because their dad is a dentist, and I was blonde
- 20:50Speaker 6: and my my dad was My.
- 20:52Speaker 5: Dad was a dentist. My dad was for real the
- 20:56Speaker 5: show I saw your show. I had no idea that's true.
- 20:59Speaker 6: Yeah, No, my my dad is a dentist.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Yeah, my dad is.
- 21:02Speaker 6: My dad really crazy?
- 21:03Speaker 4: What a small world? I just mean, likest.
- 21:10Speaker 5: No, I just can't believe it.
- 21:11Speaker 4: I just can't believe it.
- 21:12Speaker 6: You've been to the dentist.
- 21:14Speaker 1: I've been to the dentist. That's insane that your dad.
- 21:17Speaker 6: Yeah, so all like whatever dentists Like, you've been to
- 21:20Speaker 6: the dentists.
- 21:21Speaker 5: You know what they do, Like my dad does that.
- 21:22Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 21:23Speaker 5: Yeah, I like I literally you kind of.
- 21:26Speaker 4: Like forget that, like all the drilling and all that stuff,
- 21:29Speaker 4: like someone's dad does that.
- 21:30Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, and it's crazy. You wrote truth.
- 21:34Speaker 6: I did reade truth, and so you know then that
- 21:36Speaker 6: sort of brings me back to you know, my relationship
- 21:40Speaker 6: like God and my relationship and faith of faith and sours.
- 21:45Speaker 6: I call it sours because I do want to be
- 21:47Speaker 6: non denominational. I don't want to be I don't want
- 21:49Speaker 6: to be disrespectful towards anybody because I'm not. I'm actually
- 21:53Speaker 6: a very kind hearted person. I actually have not been
- 21:55Speaker 6: mean to anybody, and I think you prove it.
- 21:57Speaker 4: In your show by reading the Bible for ten street men.
- 22:01Speaker 6: Thank you, Yes, that's the Bible piece. Yeah, yeah, I
- 22:04Speaker 6: love it.
- 22:05Speaker 1: I guess like you were like the Spada sat and
- 22:07Speaker 1: you are so ungodly and then boom cut one light.
- 22:12Speaker 6: Yeah you read and yeah, it actually turns out they
- 22:15Speaker 6: were wrong.
- 22:16Speaker 1: They were an interesting that that would be.
- 22:23Speaker 6: Yeah, I haven't, I haven't. I haven't seen your show.
- 22:27Speaker 1: You have to see it. Yeah, you have to come
- 22:30Speaker 1: to my show.
- 22:30Speaker 6: I would love to have to see it.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Yeah, it's great. I'm getting you a ticket.
- 22:35Speaker 9: I saw it.
- 22:36Speaker 3: I saw a preview preview of it at I p
- 22:47Speaker 3: A and plays for days for days, so bad. It's
- 22:53Speaker 3: just like a fun day activity that's really nice.
- 22:55Speaker 5: And you can see other.
- 22:56Speaker 1: People's work and go ahead introduce yours. So did you?
- 23:00Speaker 6: I was gonna? Does anyone have any questions or.
- 23:05Speaker 5: I don't even know about the wedgie costume?
- 23:07Speaker 6: No, honestly, you go, are you sure?
- 23:09Speaker 8: No?
- 23:09Speaker 6: No? No you go, but it's okay, No, no you go,
- 23:12Speaker 6: Like honestly, I don't want to like know you go? No,
- 23:13Speaker 6: seriously and.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Reached out.
- 23:18Speaker 5: Oh yeah, that's a good question.
- 23:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I was wondering about the voices, if it's like
- 23:23Speaker 4: impressions of actual people, or if it's in the.
- 23:26Speaker 7: Video you show of you actually pushing a woman into
- 23:28Speaker 7: a dumpster.
- 23:29Speaker 5: But it looks reversed, looks like.
- 23:31Speaker 1: You're pulling her out.
- 23:32Speaker 7: It looks like but then a bird flies backwards, so
- 23:34Speaker 7: you can tell.
- 23:35Speaker 5: It's rewind, so you can tell that you're kind of
- 23:40Speaker 5: taking the foot something that.
- 23:42Speaker 9: You did.
- 23:44Speaker 7: The dumpster.
- 23:44Speaker 6: No, I did pull her out.
- 23:46Speaker 5: But what what do you have to say to the
- 23:48Speaker 5: claims that it's that it's in reverse?
- 23:50Speaker 6: That's not true.
- 23:51Speaker 5: So why is that bird going the going back? Bol
- 23:54Speaker 5: sports are not real? You one of those?
- 23:59Speaker 1: So that's it's a.
- 24:01Speaker 6: Well, it's not ai. AI is really bad for the environment.
- 24:03Speaker 6: Actually nice, Honestly, I don't.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I don't.
- 24:09Speaker 6: I don't want to. Honestly, it's it's so nice being
- 24:12Speaker 6: here and I don't want to take it too much time,
- 24:13Speaker 6: And I really didn't want to step on your toes.
- 24:15Speaker 6: It's okay, you've been waiting so long. Can I can
- 24:18Speaker 6: I just take a second? Can I just give you
- 24:19Speaker 6: a hug really quickly?
- 24:21Speaker 1: No?
- 24:22Speaker 6: Can I just like before? We I just kind of
- 24:24Speaker 6: feel I'm pulled to you.
- 24:24Speaker 10: Can I give Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, I
- 24:32Speaker 10: am like, I am like yeah, wow, wow, thank you
- 24:36Speaker 10: so much for that.
- 24:37Speaker 5: Of course, what did you see your name on?
- 24:38Speaker 6: Was again Sydney, Sydney Key Blair Mothamer.
- 24:42Speaker 5: Piece of Sydney's in my heart? Hi God, where do
- 24:46Speaker 5: I start? My name is Quinn.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Sorry, I'm gonna go ahead. That's okay. So what this
- 24:56Speaker 1: is all exposed with? Like I always say a solo
- 24:59Speaker 1: show is more like an exposed wound than a bruce.
- 25:02Speaker 1: I can always say that.
- 25:04Speaker 3: Yeah, I have, I'm called me and my producers were
- 25:08Speaker 3: calling it the goth girl show, Like instead of a
- 25:11Speaker 3: one girl, a one woman show, it's a one goth
- 25:13Speaker 3: girl show, one girl just a little because like I
- 25:17Speaker 3: don't know if anyone listens at home, but fringes kind
- 25:19Speaker 3: of like there's a lot of marketing behind it, and
- 25:22Speaker 3: there's like what makes yours different? Right, Like there's so
- 25:25Speaker 3: many different shows. Yeah, and my show's pretty simple. It's
- 25:29Speaker 3: a car play. So you get in the car with
- 25:31Speaker 3: me and I'm just a woman going a girl, a
- 25:36Speaker 3: girl going through it in her car and you get
- 25:39Speaker 3: to sit in the back and just drive with me
- 25:42Speaker 3: for forty five minutes and you get to really see
- 25:48Speaker 3: what girls are going through when they're alone.
- 25:53Speaker 1: And this show, like it really I couldn't imagine.
- 25:56Speaker 4: It's just so unbelievable because you know that, like you know,
- 26:00Speaker 4: but when you get in the car, like you're driving
- 26:01Speaker 4: to TJ Max. Yeah, and like we see in the
- 26:05Speaker 4: visuals like TJ Max getting closer and closer and closer
- 26:07Speaker 4: and closer, and it just like brings me to tears
- 26:10Speaker 4: that like I didn't want to get to TJ Max
- 26:12Speaker 4: because I was enjoying the ride so much.
- 26:15Speaker 5: Yeah, thank you guys. And it's hard.
- 26:17Speaker 3: I've always wanted to do like a car play and really,
- 26:20Speaker 3: like I think what what inspires me right now is naturalism.
- 26:24Speaker 6: Ye.
- 26:25Speaker 3: When I see a real faucet on stage, I'm like,
- 26:29Speaker 3: that's what our forefathers wanted theater to be.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, so you're like you're in your real car.
- 26:35Speaker 5: I in my real car.
- 26:36Speaker 2: I mean that's what's amazing about it, like new stage, right,
- 26:39Speaker 2: Like I'd love to do my show in.
- 26:40Speaker 5: Your car, Like yeah, yeah, I mean it's asking the question.
- 26:44Speaker 5: Like everything's stage is asking the question.
- 26:49Speaker 7: Everything's a stage.
- 26:50Speaker 5: It's asking the question. This is a stage.
- 26:53Speaker 3: Yeah, and this is a stage and sometimes the most
- 26:57Speaker 3: private parts of our lives in the car, in the bathroom,
- 27:01Speaker 3: it's asking the question.
- 27:02Speaker 5: That's a stake.
- 27:03Speaker 7: It is brave that you you let the audience. I think,
- 27:05Speaker 7: what's crazy about this?
- 27:07Speaker 2: And I want to know how you even handle this
- 27:08Speaker 2: that you do this, You let them control the ox
- 27:11Speaker 2: cord because I saw I saw that on the Instagram
- 27:16Speaker 2: that you were saying, Hey, I don't know who sent
- 27:18Speaker 2: this to some teen group, but a lot of kids
- 27:21Speaker 2: are getting in here and playing fart noises in my
- 27:23Speaker 2: whole show, Like please stop, Like how do you stay
- 27:25Speaker 2: in the zone crying driving around when like fart you know,
- 27:28Speaker 2: forty five minutes of farting is happening.
- 27:30Speaker 5: No, I want to talk to you guys about this.
- 27:33Speaker 3: I think I'd love to talk about like I think
- 27:34Speaker 3: I would I would love to just like dive into
- 27:36Speaker 3: the fact that like doing a show in rap, doing
- 27:40Speaker 3: a show that.
- 27:41Speaker 5: Many times yeah, oh my gosh, like it depends on.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Who's the nutchugger that day and who has the ox
- 27:47Speaker 3: cord that day. My show is changing every time. I know,
- 27:51Speaker 3: this is crazy when I say it, but I don't
- 27:53Speaker 3: think I've ever done a show that was similar to
- 27:56Speaker 3: the last one.
- 27:58Speaker 4: That is related well, and like the audience really changes it,
- 28:02Speaker 4: you know, like sometimes you have as few as just
- 28:06Speaker 4: two people in your audience yea. And then sometimes you
- 28:09Speaker 4: have as many as from like you have you can
- 28:13Speaker 4: have as you could have, like more than you can
- 28:15Speaker 4: have more than that ye in your audience as well.
- 28:19Speaker 5: And can I say something, yeah, like way more like
- 28:22Speaker 5: how many have you have?
- 28:23Speaker 9: You felt like it was like, oh my gosh, Like
- 28:26Speaker 9: I mean it could be as few as too or
- 28:29Speaker 9: or more or way more yeah, way, way, way, way way,
- 28:33Speaker 9: And like when when it's when it's like when it's
- 28:36Speaker 9: like half when it's when it's when when there's like
- 28:39Speaker 9: butts in seats, Like you feel the energy in the room.
- 28:43Speaker 1: It's like butts in seats. It's like that's what it's
- 28:45Speaker 1: actually all about. What's the biggest house you guys have
- 28:47Speaker 1: had so far?
- 28:48Speaker 3: Oh my god, when I sell out it's three seats
- 28:51Speaker 3: like crazy, Yeah, that's crazy.
- 28:53Speaker 5: I actually had it in the middle.
- 28:55Speaker 6: I had a back to back sold out show. I
- 28:56Speaker 6: think it was three hundred seats. The first thing.
- 28:59Speaker 5: Really, that's great that's my dad invited.
- 29:04Speaker 6: That's really cool.
- 29:05Speaker 4: And you and you have like producer backing right, Well,
- 29:08Speaker 4: my you have like a company. I like a company
- 29:09Speaker 4: that's backing in my dad. You have like a producer,
- 29:11Speaker 4: you have like a lot of money behind it.
- 29:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:13Speaker 6: Well, I mean I don't want to like, you know,
- 29:17Speaker 6: sort of like let's talk about money. That's my My dad,
- 29:23Speaker 6: who's a dentist, is also a producer. But what I
- 29:26Speaker 6: was going to say is that, and I feel like
- 29:29Speaker 6: a lot of people don't point this out, is that
- 29:31Speaker 6: theater is alive.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Yes, why haven't we been saying that?
- 29:36Speaker 5: No, Like you are so right.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Yeah, there is that group of kids that like the
- 29:42Speaker 3: entire version of my play. Like we sold out one night,
- 29:45Speaker 3: and when we sell out, we sold three tickets, right,
- 29:48Speaker 3: And when we sold out, these kids just like kept
- 29:51Speaker 3: yelling six seven to me throughout the whole play.
- 29:55Speaker 5: And but the way it changed my mom.
- 29:59Speaker 4: Law, Yeah, it's a lie.
- 30:04Speaker 1: It's a lot. It's a lot.
- 30:06Speaker 6: I had a heckler in my audience and it actually
- 30:08Speaker 6: ended up being one of the girls that claims that
- 30:10Speaker 6: I bullied her, Like she was just saying like really
- 30:15Speaker 6: just mean stuff things that a bully would say. She
- 30:17Speaker 6: was saying, you know, you broke my collarbone. And the
- 30:22Speaker 6: truth of that is is that I didn't break her collarbone.
- 30:25Speaker 6: The stairs railing broke her collarbone. I don't have the
- 30:29Speaker 6: physical strength to break someone's didn't inform the work when
- 30:33Speaker 6: she heckled.
- 30:34Speaker 3: And it did.
- 30:35Speaker 6: And so it was during Rat the Rat three piece,
- 30:39Speaker 6: the top dancing Rat.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Three piece, when you bring up those two other things
- 30:43Speaker 2: on sticks that look like rats.
- 30:45Speaker 6: Yeah, and by Rat three, I go, oh, they're all
- 30:48Speaker 6: different rats, right, And I was doing that sort of
- 30:51Speaker 6: when it sort of goes into the soliloquy about muffins.
- 30:56Speaker 6: At soliloquy about out of the show sort of hard
- 31:00Speaker 6: to drop in, but.
- 31:03Speaker 5: I'm getting.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Up and I saw her the need to have a
- 31:16Speaker 2: soliloquy in the middle of one woman, because if you
- 31:19Speaker 2: haven't been talking to.
- 31:19Speaker 4: It's a soliloquy, you can tell it's a little different.
- 31:23Speaker 1: It's a little different.
- 31:26Speaker 6: Yeah, well, I mean it's a liloquy. Went on longer,
- 31:29Speaker 6: of course, but it did rhyme yes, And so when
- 31:31Speaker 6: I did that change, so she's screaming, you broke my
- 31:35Speaker 6: collar bone, broke my collar bone. My family suit, your
- 31:37Speaker 6: family and I just dropped in harder. I just I
- 31:42Speaker 6: kind of I had this moment where I just I
- 31:45Speaker 6: sort of became the rat. I became the rat who. Yeah,
- 31:53Speaker 6: so that informed how I felt about her. Where she
- 31:57Speaker 6: is Rat three in my story. That is sort of
- 31:59Speaker 6: a behind the veil.
- 32:01Speaker 5: Oh my gosh.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:05Speaker 6: She so she shows up, she's Rat three. I'm playing
- 32:09Speaker 6: Rat three. So I really I become Rat three, which
- 32:12Speaker 6: means I become her, which means that we are all connected,
- 32:17Speaker 6: which means that everything that she said about me is
- 32:19Speaker 6: not true.
- 32:20Speaker 5: Yeah, just in pain.
- 32:22Speaker 4: She just doesn't know.
- 32:23Speaker 1: That's the beauty of life.
- 32:24Speaker 4: Just heard it.
- 32:25Speaker 1: I think solo shows are so important because it shows
- 32:27Speaker 1: that all of us that created a solo show are
- 32:29Speaker 1: the victims. Yeah.
- 32:31Speaker 6: Yeah, because we're brave enough to tell our stories.
- 32:35Speaker 3: The girl that did that really long Instagram dump and
- 32:37Speaker 3: there are pictures of her with like a neck brisong.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Yeah, she had like the video of being pushed down
- 32:42Speaker 1: the stairs.
- 32:42Speaker 6: Rat number three.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:43Speaker 3: Because there's some girl that was like talking about a
- 32:45Speaker 3: fringe show. Don't go see this fringe show? Is this
- 32:48Speaker 3: the same girl? I don't have social media?
- 32:51Speaker 4: Oh girl, that's really brave. Well, actually, this is a
- 32:55Speaker 4: question I had for you guys, because obviously at Fringe
- 32:58Speaker 4: there's thousands and thousands of shows, you know, big shows,
- 33:02Speaker 4: small shows, Like there are shows happening in the back
- 33:05Speaker 4: of pizza restaurants, There are show's happening in addicts, there
- 33:08Speaker 4: are shows happening in a big theaters, small theater. Donut Aladdine,
- 33:11Speaker 4: Donut Aladdin, don'nut alide some pretty good searches.
- 33:16Speaker 5: Go se donut Aladdin and get the jelly donuts you.
- 33:19Speaker 6: Have to go.
- 33:21Speaker 4: But how are you guys approaching marketing because like, obviously
- 33:26Speaker 4: we have the posters of our shows that line a
- 33:28Speaker 4: wall where like you look at it and there's thousands
- 33:31Speaker 4: of them, back to back to back to back to back,
- 33:33Speaker 4: But like, how are you taking that extra step?
- 33:35Speaker 5: Like did you guys hire pr well for me?
- 33:37Speaker 2: Like, I just got to know my audience, right, Like
- 33:40Speaker 2: when I'm looking out and I see somebody that walks
- 33:42Speaker 2: in that isn't wearing a graphic tea.
- 33:44Speaker 1: And go, I'm gonna have an issue with that guy,
- 33:46Speaker 1: Like that's like literally an issue.
- 33:47Speaker 2: But usually my guys are funny, like as long as
- 33:50Speaker 2: the New Beverly isn't playing something interesting, that same night,
- 33:53Speaker 2: they're gonna be there for me. Yeah, Like as long
- 33:57Speaker 2: as you know, like you know, like Dole or whatever
- 34:00Speaker 2: isn't playing or some ridiculous, you know, exploitation kind of film.
- 34:05Speaker 2: You know, they're ready to go. But for other people,
- 34:07Speaker 2: I want to let people know, like are pushing boundaries.
- 34:10Speaker 2: So I go out, I dress as a nun and
- 34:14Speaker 2: then I go out and I go out where we're
- 34:16Speaker 2: all advertising and flying, and I lift up my my
- 34:20Speaker 2: habit and I'm wearing a G string and my flyers
- 34:23Speaker 2: are in the geople pull pull flyers from the G
- 34:29Speaker 2: string and also the flyers they're covered in loop.
- 34:34Speaker 5: So when you touch the flyer there, what does the
- 34:38Speaker 5: represent like in religion?
- 34:39Speaker 2: Like it represents like the slootiness of religion. Like it's
- 34:43Speaker 2: like come to me, you know what I mean? Like
- 34:48Speaker 2: am like like like yeah, like semen.
- 34:51Speaker 4: Can I ask about your actual dating life?
- 34:53Speaker 1: My actual dating life?
- 34:54Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 34:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm happily married. Okay, okay, okay, I've been married
- 35:00Speaker 1: to my lovely wife Charlotte for fourteen years.
- 35:03Speaker 7: We met sophomores in high school.
- 35:06Speaker 1: How many times she comes to every show?
- 35:09Speaker 2: Oh?
- 35:10Speaker 7: She comes to every single show and she a damn
- 35:13Speaker 7: cut in the front round.
- 35:14Speaker 6: I actually saw her on a corner. She has the
- 35:17Speaker 6: Jack Skellington sweatshirt.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, yes, yeah.
- 35:20Speaker 7: And she's making charm bracelets.
- 35:22Speaker 1: She's making bracelets for everything. Yeah she might have.
- 35:25Speaker 2: She's been making bracelets for all of years. Actually, I
- 35:29Speaker 2: she's come to everyone shows. She doesn't speak a lot,
- 35:32Speaker 2: but she's so passionate. She's come to all your shows.
- 35:36Speaker 4: She's coming.
- 35:37Speaker 7: She made bracelets, and.
- 35:42Speaker 4: She's got a little surfer. Oh my god, she she
- 35:45Speaker 4: really was paying attention.
- 35:46Speaker 6: These are actually kind of ugly.
- 35:47Speaker 7: What do you say? Shut up?
- 35:49Speaker 1: What are you saying?
- 35:51Speaker 5: It says bully question mark, But Billy is spelled wrong,
- 35:54Speaker 5: does she not.
- 35:58Speaker 2: It's actually really expensive. It's actually really expensive to keep
- 36:01Speaker 2: all letters on on like on deck.
- 36:04Speaker 6: Yea yeah, but I'm just saying, if you're gonna make
- 36:07Speaker 6: a bracelet like.
- 36:08Speaker 7: You're going to give it back to my lovely wife Charlotte.
- 36:11Speaker 6: That's not all right.
- 36:13Speaker 5: But she's really passionate.
- 36:15Speaker 1: She's really passionate.
- 36:16Speaker 2: She's the kind of person who loves to be kind
- 36:20Speaker 2: of near a conversation.
- 36:22Speaker 1: Let her in. She won't say anything, but.
- 36:28Speaker 7: She's a quite dish. She's got her big hoodie on
- 36:31Speaker 7: her gigantic glasses.
- 36:32Speaker 1: She loves to be favorite people to be in a
- 36:34Speaker 1: group with and my absolute fear to be when the
- 36:37Speaker 1: group clears in your stuff.
- 36:41Speaker 6: She's malleable, and you're allowed to sort of be your
- 36:45Speaker 6: big boy self and sort of like be big boy,
- 36:48Speaker 6: big boy, and you're allowed to sort of be big
- 36:51Speaker 6: in every way.
- 36:52Speaker 7: We have our inside jokes, like we we watch, we watch.
- 36:55Speaker 5: TV, Like, like, does she watched what are her shows?
- 36:59Speaker 1: You know?
- 37:00Speaker 2: Penny dreadful? She loves, she loves, she loves, she loves Supernatural.
- 37:08Speaker 2: She's obsessed those boys, those are her celebrities.
- 37:13Speaker 5: Watched my favorite show Wednesday?
- 37:14Speaker 4: Has she she's obsessed with Charlotte was really running Tumblr
- 37:19Speaker 4: a few years ago.
- 37:23Speaker 6: She has she ever seen the show Firefly?
- 37:36Speaker 7: Yeah, but she prefers the movie.
- 37:40Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 37:41Speaker 1: Can I ask a question, like I never get this
- 37:44Speaker 1: opportunity other than like almost every single night in my
- 37:47Speaker 1: life when I do like the clown Jams, But like,
- 37:50Speaker 1: how did you guys like contrive your place? Like how
- 37:53Speaker 1: did they come to you? Like I'm just never surrounded
- 37:55Speaker 1: by artists like.
- 37:56Speaker 6: Mine actually came from a lawsuit?
- 37:59Speaker 1: No way? Yeah?
- 38:00Speaker 5: Who we thought that lawsuit in the in the rat
- 38:03Speaker 5: ballet is real.
- 38:04Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 38:05Speaker 6: Yeah, my family was being sued and it was really
- 38:08Speaker 6: really hard, and I decided to make a one woman
- 38:12Speaker 6: show about it.
- 38:13Speaker 1: It's amazing.
- 38:14Speaker 3: I think that's so important about all of our shows,
- 38:16Speaker 3: is like the difference between the idea and just deciding
- 38:19Speaker 3: to do it.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Yeah, Like we actually are the bold ones, the the
- 38:24Speaker 1: best in show, I will say, Like, we are the
- 38:26Speaker 1: ones that, like people always like, how do you do it?
- 38:28Speaker 1: How do you do it?
- 38:29Speaker 6: You just you just do you Just if we were
- 38:32Speaker 6: if we were drafted in war, Let's say we were
- 38:34Speaker 6: like at the front lines of the Civil War, we
- 38:36Speaker 6: would be all the heroes on the front lines.
- 38:39Speaker 1: As we would be. Yeah, we decided to do it.
- 38:42Speaker 4: It takes bravery, you know. And like all I'll answer
- 38:46Speaker 4: for my show came to me as I was riding
- 38:48Speaker 4: the Surfliner, which is the train that takes you from
- 38:52Speaker 4: La to San Diego, and I was just like feeling
- 38:55Speaker 4: all of these feelings just come rushing back, like all
- 38:59Speaker 4: the like the pain and the pressure. You know, when
- 39:02Speaker 4: you have heaviness on your chest, you can't let go of.
- 39:07Speaker 4: That's what I was feeling the entire time. And I
- 39:11Speaker 4: was like my breathing got shallow and I was flailing
- 39:15Speaker 4: around this train, like going where am I? What's going on?
- 39:19Speaker 4: What am I doing? And then the only way for
- 39:23Speaker 4: the thing to come out of me was a sixty
- 39:27Speaker 4: minute monologue one person style, so like and like, there's
- 39:32Speaker 4: no other format for it sometimes, like I honestly, I've
- 39:35Speaker 4: tried a bunch.
- 39:36Speaker 11: Of things for this.
- 39:37Speaker 4: I tried to do a pilot, like a like a
- 39:40Speaker 4: multi caam pilot.
- 39:42Speaker 6: We don't have enough to really work out.
- 39:44Speaker 5: Yeah, a workplace.
- 39:47Speaker 1: About it. Yeah, I thought it was so genius, so smart.
- 39:50Speaker 5: Yeah, thank you so much.
- 39:55Speaker 4: Because I don't do it. I don't write it like
- 39:57Speaker 4: a short. I just did a full feature like all
- 39:59Speaker 4: the plot points of a future, but really fast.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Yeah, it was awesome.
- 40:03Speaker 7: Thank you for reading my zine.
- 40:04Speaker 8: I love.
- 40:05Speaker 5: I have a soft spot for the zine. How do
- 40:08Speaker 5: you make a money on a zine?
- 40:10Speaker 1: They figure it out, There has to be a wait.
- 40:14Speaker 4: Like maybe the big zine guys can like like host
- 40:17Speaker 4: like a day where you can like buy up and
- 40:19Speaker 4: coming zines because like, how on earth are we making
- 40:22Speaker 4: money on those?
- 40:22Speaker 3: I wish they put ads and zines like maybe that'll
- 40:25Speaker 3: be like something.
- 40:26Speaker 7: Well, let me ask you guys, like, go ahead, Well
- 40:29Speaker 7: I had a question.
- 40:29Speaker 6: I mean, you could turn it into a vertical.
- 40:33Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, I heard those are really hot right now?
- 40:35Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 40:36Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, you anti vertical?
- 40:40Speaker 6: I do not actually really really cool.
- 40:47Speaker 4: I like, I think, what if we all I mean
- 40:50Speaker 4: we're all this is a crazy question. Oh my god,
- 40:52Speaker 4: I feel crazy.
- 40:53Speaker 5: For yes, so be careful.
- 40:55Speaker 4: So we're all solo artists, right, yeah, what if we
- 40:59Speaker 4: made a vertical together?
- 41:02Speaker 1: Wait?
- 41:02Speaker 2: What?
- 41:03Speaker 5: I lead with yes? And if something doesn't feel good,
- 41:05Speaker 5: I say yes to it.
- 41:06Speaker 4: What if all of our solo shows could be combined
- 41:11Speaker 4: into one vertical?
- 41:14Speaker 6: So I actually am doing my show in New York soon,
- 41:25Speaker 6: A leader that did Wicked. Yeah, yeah, they're sort of
- 41:29Speaker 6: they're taking a pause and they're letting me sort of
- 41:31Speaker 6: do a drop in for about three weeks. Yeah, oh
- 41:35Speaker 6: my god, because it's been up for so long and
- 41:38Speaker 6: so I'm actually busy.
- 41:40Speaker 4: But yeah, no, no, that's I totally like, I don't know,
- 41:44Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 41:46Speaker 6: If I was available, I would a million times before
- 41:49Speaker 6: I would. I would absolutely love to do that, but
- 41:51Speaker 6: I am my show might actually be going Yeah.
- 41:57Speaker 4: When when is it going to Broadway?
- 41:59Speaker 1: Though?
- 41:59Speaker 6: Because I could like, well, it going to Broadway. We
- 42:02Speaker 6: don't know yet, but it's it's doing a drop in
- 42:06Speaker 6: sort of like proof of Contra.
- 42:08Speaker 5: On Broadway are like really big right now and I'm
- 42:10Speaker 5: so proud of you.
- 42:12Speaker 6: Yeah, it's between probably now, and I would say, like
- 42:16Speaker 6: November twenty ninth, I.
- 42:18Speaker 7: Mean vertical Vertical is Broadway. That's so exciting.
- 42:21Speaker 2: The big thing is, you know, one man shows are
- 42:24Speaker 2: the number one thing that's being turned into other things
- 42:27Speaker 2: right now. Right the night we got we got Baby Reindeer,
- 42:30Speaker 2: we got Flea bag Y, like like what North Stars,
- 42:34Speaker 2: what's the goal for us?
- 42:35Speaker 5: Like Big Bank Theory started as a one man show.
- 42:38Speaker 4: Yes, the Pit I heard fairly odd Parents as well, one.
- 42:47Speaker 1: Piece show.
- 42:49Speaker 6: British, Yes, Breakoff Yeah the Mass Singer British because it
- 42:56Speaker 6: was break dancing and baking at the same time.
- 42:59Speaker 7: I loved all those breakdancing in a field in London.
- 43:02Speaker 5: Yeah you know that All State guy. Yeah, he started
- 43:05Speaker 5: as a one man yeah.
- 43:07Speaker 4: Mayhem may the one person show.
- 43:12Speaker 1: I actually wish I could have seen that.
- 43:16Speaker 12: Actually dramatically feels that he has like I think, like,
- 43:19Speaker 12: what's so cool is that like one man one person
- 43:24Speaker 12: shows are are really blossoming.
- 43:27Speaker 5: Yeah, the fact that you're going to Broadway.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Like I am a little nervous to say this how
- 43:32Speaker 3: loud because they don't want to jinx it. But I
- 43:35Speaker 3: think in the car next week, one of the one
- 43:37Speaker 3: of the passengers knows the artistic director of someone at
- 43:42Speaker 3: the pasading in a playhouse.
- 43:44Speaker 1: They know someone a passenger who might know the artistication
- 43:48Speaker 1: and so, and I got a question, how would you
- 43:50Speaker 1: do it in the passing the play?
- 43:52Speaker 5: We would just they have a quad in front of it. Yeah,
- 43:54Speaker 5: we would just get a car and pull up.
- 43:55Speaker 6: And so the people would wait inside of the theater
- 43:58Speaker 6: and then like four at a time would go in
- 44:00Speaker 6: to your car.
- 44:00Speaker 5: And then, though that.
- 44:04Speaker 3: Would be interesting, that's interesting, I'd say it loses its thing.
- 44:11Speaker 6: What if you took the car on the stage and
- 44:14Speaker 6: then just drove around the stage.
- 44:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I would say if you did it in a theater,
- 44:18Speaker 1: it would be a show.
- 44:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:20Speaker 5: I don't know if I have much. I think what
- 44:27Speaker 5: I love about it is it's the naturalism. There's a
- 44:30Speaker 5: lot of stuff that.
- 44:32Speaker 7: You have to be in the car for sure, but
- 44:35Speaker 7: there is an argument that you're just an uber, right.
- 44:38Speaker 5: Yeah, you would, I would you do drop them off.
- 44:41Speaker 4: Yeah, you take them to places that they request.
- 44:44Speaker 5: Well, that's a part of the service that we were
- 44:46Speaker 5: told we'd sell tickets if we did that.
- 44:48Speaker 6: It's immersive, it's a mercy. It's a mercy your tickets.
- 44:52Speaker 5: It depends on what.
- 44:55Speaker 4: So Yeah, this is this is sounding like an uber.
- 44:58Speaker 5: Oh I am just so great to be here with
- 45:00Speaker 5: the best artists I know.
- 45:03Speaker 1: Artist.
- 45:04Speaker 4: Do you guys get nervous when reviewers come? Do you
- 45:06Speaker 4: think about reviews?
- 45:07Speaker 1: I could get a reviewer to show up to my
- 45:10Speaker 1: show that would be amazed.
- 45:12Speaker 5: Would you make them chug the nuts?
- 45:14Speaker 1: I would make them the nut chugger. The media? What
- 45:17Speaker 1: is happening that show? That has to be building into something?
- 45:20Speaker 5: It has to be like going to affair or something
- 45:22Speaker 5: like what.
- 45:23Speaker 7: It has to be.
- 45:23Speaker 1: People must be interested or what other dates are? So
- 45:30Speaker 1: we're about to get out of the work in progress stage.
- 45:32Speaker 1: I've done fifty working progresses.
- 45:36Speaker 5: So far the Honeymoon.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Honeymoon about to jump into the actual show and I do.
- 45:44Speaker 1: I guess I'll announce it. I have an overall with
- 45:46Speaker 1: HBO now to do seven different type of like kind
- 45:50Speaker 1: of interesting shows with them.
- 45:53Speaker 5: Interesting shows in shows.
- 45:55Speaker 1: That's what they said on TV TV on TV Like.
- 45:59Speaker 6: Since you say shows, so they just they just like
- 46:02Speaker 6: your vibe.
- 46:03Speaker 1: That's what the Deadline article said. Deadline, Yes, and signed
- 46:07Speaker 1: for seven interesting shows at HBO.
- 46:10Speaker 5: Seven interesting shows? Wow?
- 46:13Speaker 6: Is there the concept?
- 46:15Speaker 1: There's something about my performance that is so.
- 46:24Speaker 4: Raw?
- 46:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:26Speaker 1: Execs can't put it in a box. So they need it,
- 46:30Speaker 1: and they need seven of it, and then they need
- 46:33Speaker 1: seven interesting shows of it. They don't know what to
- 46:36Speaker 1: do with it, so they say, I'll give you money, money, money, money, money,
- 46:40Speaker 1: what can you make?
- 46:41Speaker 6: And the shows are all separate from each other.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Yeah, seven interesting shows, different shows, so it would be
- 46:45Speaker 1: like one sitcom when one's so okay, I get.
- 46:48Speaker 6: To decide what's your idea for the first one.
- 46:50Speaker 1: I have no ideas. I've got like a do you
- 46:53Speaker 1: guys want me to read some of my notes of
- 46:55Speaker 1: like yeah.
- 46:57Speaker 9: Oh my god, this is like a live this is
- 46:59Speaker 9: a show.
- 47:00Speaker 1: This is so exciting and.
- 47:03Speaker 6: My networking is so important during Yeah, because you can
- 47:07Speaker 6: miss out.
- 47:08Speaker 8: If I were middle and I watched different yeah, little
- 47:12Speaker 8: me would be like what the heck?
- 47:13Speaker 6: No, literally, okay, I'm going to bring up my notes
- 47:15Speaker 6: app as well.
- 47:16Speaker 1: Okay, Like so like one idea for like one of
- 47:19Speaker 1: the seven interesting shows is like, uh, guilt Mom. So
- 47:23Speaker 1: it's like my mom is guilt and I play her
- 47:28Speaker 1: the entire time. Mother married Catholic Catholic.
- 47:31Speaker 2: What if she's mother Mary so like and she's like her,
- 47:34Speaker 2: she's breastfeeding so much, your nipples are bleeding.
- 47:37Speaker 1: I like that part, but I don't like the mother
- 47:39Speaker 1: Mary part. I like kind of like body horror nipples
- 47:42Speaker 1: are but I don't like the mother Mary.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Okay, okayed for her, Yeah, just knowing that I can
- 47:47Speaker 2: if you guys are punching up doing a right, I.
- 47:49Speaker 4: Have a pitch for an idea of what if she cried?
- 47:52Speaker 1: I like that what but like, I don't like who's crying?
- 47:56Speaker 4: Like there was like a woman in it. I think
- 48:00Speaker 4: so guilty and I think like, like what if she cried?
- 48:03Speaker 4: Is just an idea?
- 48:04Speaker 1: That's a really good Okay, I'll write that down like that.
- 48:07Speaker 5: Yeah, what's in your notes?
- 48:10Speaker 8: Well?
- 48:10Speaker 6: I sort of started out with sort of like the
- 48:13Speaker 6: opening monologue of another I okay, it's about me being
- 48:24Speaker 6: a child. Okay. I love the smell of the air
- 48:28Speaker 6: before a rainstorm. It reminds me of being a child.
- 48:32Speaker 6: Being somewhere with my parents fully present, I would take
- 48:35Speaker 6: a whiff of the air and feel my stomach to
- 48:38Speaker 6: a flip, that feeling of I'm alive, similar to the
- 48:42Speaker 6: feeling you get the night before trip to Disneyland. I remember,
- 48:48Speaker 6: I remember the day I noticed that I had stopped
- 48:50Speaker 6: experiencing that feeling. I was fourteen, feeling the weight of
- 48:54Speaker 6: everything around me. And now I'm old and I've storted
- 48:58Speaker 6: to feel that feeling again, that gratitude of being alive,
- 49:02Speaker 6: although now it's coupled with a twinge of sadness, holding
- 49:06Speaker 6: onto a balloon of grief for the rest of my life,
- 49:09Speaker 6: trying to become accustomed to it, like a new birthmark,
- 49:13Speaker 6: trying to figure out the gratitude of being alive, Feeling
- 49:17Speaker 6: like a vagabond to the earth, the last remaining crewman
- 49:20Speaker 6: on a pirate ship abandoned at sea.
- 49:23Speaker 1: God, and like, literally, that's how I know I'm straight.
- 49:27Speaker 7: So that was exactly what was written down.
- 49:36Speaker 1: I am so highest.
- 49:37Speaker 4: How got on your phone or what's going on?
- 49:40Speaker 5: So that's the realist thing that's ever happened on this podcast.
- 49:43Speaker 11: Wow, I think I think I did it for a
- 49:47Speaker 11: show of someone reading a bottlogue on their phone and
- 49:50Speaker 11: I that's the great thing about the you know, I
- 49:57Speaker 11: also have I also have h oh yeah, why don't
- 50:03Speaker 11: you close your eyes?
- 50:07Speaker 6: Okay, I I'm I have I have one that says,
- 50:13Speaker 6: I don't trust Canadian women. There's something going on.
- 50:16Speaker 5: There, that's something.
- 50:19Speaker 6: And then that's definitely I have another one that says,
- 50:21Speaker 6: how come every female bartender is from Scottsdale, Arizona.
- 50:25Speaker 4: That's true, That's definitely true.
- 50:28Speaker 6: And these are, honestly, and that's the thing about being
- 50:30Speaker 6: an artist because these are just like thoughts that I have,
- 50:33Speaker 6: but they can become.
- 50:33Speaker 5: Something so inspiring it made me, Honestly, I wasn't gonna.
- 50:37Speaker 6: Say mine say it, say it, say it, Okay.
- 50:41Speaker 3: So I think it starts when like if someone, if
- 50:47Speaker 3: an audience member, I think they could only come see
- 50:50Speaker 3: the show if they're hungry.
- 50:52Speaker 6: Yeah, and why did you get so quiet when you
- 50:55Speaker 6: said hungry?
- 50:56Speaker 3: Because it's like, I think, what's making me cry about
- 50:58Speaker 3: this idea is that it's a feed.
- 51:03Speaker 6: In suple ways.
- 51:04Speaker 5: So I think what happens is.
- 51:07Speaker 6: It's another car play, and I think, what if we
- 51:09Speaker 6: got out of the car.
- 51:10Speaker 5: Okay, what about this?
- 51:11Speaker 6: Okay?
- 51:12Speaker 1: I love that.
- 51:12Speaker 5: I love that what if what if you at home
- 51:15Speaker 5: are feeling hungry and a play comes to you Stora Dash.
- 51:22Speaker 6: That's sort of like I think if something.
- 51:27Speaker 1: I think there's something really interesting, gine.
- 51:32Speaker 5: Camera and somebody walks up and I'm doing like a
- 51:35Speaker 5: one woman show.
- 51:36Speaker 1: For you at your house. You don't have to open
- 51:37Speaker 1: the door. That's good.
- 51:38Speaker 6: Wow, But what if someone doesn't have a rain camera?
- 51:42Speaker 6: Do you always have to specifically?
- 51:45Speaker 5: I guess something like that.
- 51:46Speaker 3: It's a workshop. I'm figuring out. I haven't read that
- 51:49Speaker 3: to anybody. I haven't read that idea.
- 51:50Speaker 6: That's really really beautiful.
- 51:52Speaker 2: I was looking at my ideas too, like a lot
- 51:54Speaker 2: of these are because me and Charlotte were kind of
- 51:57Speaker 2: like saying that, being like, what can this be?
- 51:59Speaker 8: Like?
- 51:59Speaker 1: We love that when you guys are alone, is she
- 52:01Speaker 1: talking to you?
- 52:02Speaker 6: Uh?
- 52:03Speaker 1: Yeah, she doesn't stop talking. I can see that.
- 52:05Speaker 6: Yeah, you know what I mean the second.
- 52:07Speaker 4: The door closes.
- 52:08Speaker 1: It's actually the most beautiful things.
- 52:11Speaker 2: It's we like go forever and ever and ever, especially
- 52:13Speaker 2: if I get her talking about has been hotel.
- 52:15Speaker 1: She loves has been a hotel.
- 52:18Speaker 5: She's obsessed with it.
- 52:26Speaker 1: Oh, hey, nice to see you there.
- 52:27Speaker 5: Sorry, we were just like in the middle of an episode.
- 52:29Speaker 3: We love.

- 53:05Speaker 2: She's obsessed with has been Hotel and we watched it
- 53:07Speaker 2: together all the time.
- 53:10Speaker 7: Ye.
- 53:12Speaker 1: Hey, word to the wise, clear your browsing history now,
- 53:16Speaker 1: really yeah, you could be arrested for that ship but
- 53:18Speaker 1: really searching. No, it's fine.
- 53:20Speaker 6: Isn't there like sex on that show? But it's for kids.
- 53:23Speaker 1: No, it's like naughty. It's like a naughty cartoon with
- 53:25Speaker 1: like really great.
- 53:26Speaker 5: She should watch like Umbrella Academy.
- 53:28Speaker 7: She's watched it.
- 53:29Speaker 1: She's definitely watching. She isn't.
- 53:31Speaker 7: It's not as good as the comics, she said, but
- 53:33Speaker 7: she loves it.
- 53:33Speaker 6: Has she ever seen the show of the Expanse.
- 53:36Speaker 2: No, maybe I'll show that to her. She loves that
- 53:39Speaker 2: that in night shamal on Apple TV show to Servant. Anyways, Oh, anyways,
- 53:47Speaker 2: we were just pitching like what could this be? And
- 53:49Speaker 2: what's crazy is we actually settled on board games. So
- 53:52Speaker 2: we're thinking like maybe we turned my show into like
- 53:54Speaker 2: a cards against Humanity. It's called the Church the Church
- 54:01Speaker 2: from Hell or something, and then it's like you create
- 54:04Speaker 2: new gods together.
- 54:05Speaker 5: So that she would love watching you make that.
- 54:07Speaker 2: Yeah Buddha with a tongue piercing and yeah, and uh
- 54:13Speaker 2: it smells like uh cherry lipstick.
- 54:17Speaker 5: Like that that's really good. Can I say thank you?
- 54:23Speaker 5: Oh yeah, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 54:28Speaker 1: And maybe, like I was thinking, like maybe a good
- 54:31Speaker 1: way to end is like what have we all learned
- 54:34Speaker 1: from doing our solo shows.
- 54:36Speaker 6: I think that is a really good way to end
- 54:37Speaker 6: is to learn like.
- 54:39Speaker 1: One word that like maybe like some of me really
- 54:42Speaker 1: took away one word. Yeah, like and see if you
- 54:45Speaker 1: can keep it to one word, because like that's like
- 54:47Speaker 1: the fun of this exter.
- 54:48Speaker 5: Yeah, Like yeah, my word I'll say is I'd say it's.
- 55:00Speaker 1: Travel. Yeah, that's awesome. That's beautiful, so beautiful.
- 55:07Speaker 5: My word is.
- 55:10Speaker 4: Suffering, yeah, god, surfering more like surfering. Yeah, that's so true.
- 55:18Speaker 6: It's two words and one.
- 55:20Speaker 4: Can I pay you for that idea?
- 55:22Speaker 1: No, I'll just please.
- 55:23Speaker 5: I don't take I just take tips.
- 55:26Speaker 1: You gotta you gotta kind of separate the commerce from
- 55:29Speaker 1: the theater.
- 55:30Speaker 7: I think something's going on with you.
- 55:32Speaker 1: Capitalist man. Yeah, my I guess my word is no.
- 55:38Speaker 6: No no no no no no no no you go no, no, no, no.
- 55:41Speaker 8: Serious.
- 55:41Speaker 6: I don't want to step on.
- 55:42Speaker 1: Any of these times. I don't want to.
- 55:43Speaker 6: I don't want to know. I want you to go.
- 55:45Speaker 6: I want you to go. I want you to go. No,
- 55:47Speaker 6: I want you to go. I want you to go. No, Seriously,
- 55:51Speaker 6: mine's justice, okay, yes, yeah for the victims myself. Yeah yeah, yeah, justice,
- 55:59Speaker 6: I would say.
- 56:00Speaker 1: I guess mine is nutty. That's it.
- 56:04Speaker 5: How do you think of that star as a clown?
- 56:09Speaker 5: You to clean up?
- 56:10Speaker 1: I thought about it about it.
- 56:12Speaker 6: You are going to clean up in clown.
- 56:15Speaker 5: School, especially if you have seven interesting shows?
- 56:19Speaker 6: But do you know who also went to clown school?
- 56:21Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 56:22Speaker 8: I know.
- 56:23Speaker 6: Do you know what I'm going to say?
- 56:24Speaker 2: Right?
- 56:24Speaker 6: Do you actually say.
- 56:26Speaker 1: Yeah to you.
- 56:26Speaker 6: Our story Connor story went to clown School, the hero
- 56:30Speaker 6: of clown School. Yeah, I mean look at him now, Yeah,
- 56:34Speaker 6: he's he's kind of the north stop.
- 56:36Speaker 7: I'm trying to get.
- 56:37Speaker 1: I'm trying to give that Connor story.
- 56:38Speaker 3: Body.
- 56:38Speaker 7: I just signed up for Hello Fresh.
- 56:40Speaker 1: Oh awesome, that's going to help so much.
- 56:42Speaker 6: It's really more exercise of his food.
- 56:44Speaker 1: Meals a week are you doing, I'm getting fifteen meals
- 56:47Speaker 1: a week genius just for you.
- 56:49Speaker 5: Yeah, what's your word?
- 56:51Speaker 7: My word?
- 56:53Speaker 1: Honestly, after all this, you know, I could say stigmata,
- 56:56Speaker 1: I could say confession. You know, I could say circumcision.
- 57:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna say Charlotte. Wow, I realized how much I
- 57:04Speaker 1: loved my wife talked about Oh my gosh.
- 57:06Speaker 5: I know, it's like quickly become your thing.
- 57:08Speaker 4: You never realize what the show is actually about.
- 57:11Speaker 2: This whole time, I'm screaming about my exes and saying
- 57:14Speaker 2: that like, oh, I'm like this is like you know
- 57:17Speaker 2: Thor if Thor was like a demon twink, you know,
- 57:21Speaker 2: stuff like that.
- 57:22Speaker 1: But then now I'm like, wait a minute, my wife
- 57:25Speaker 1: has been there for every step of the way.
- 57:27Speaker 6: Yeah, since you were fifteen, since I.
- 57:29Speaker 1: Was fifteen, and all my exes are about you know,
- 57:32Speaker 1: the people I dated from ten to fifteen.
- 57:37Speaker 6: It's it's a really crazy dating time for all of that.
- 57:40Speaker 1: Yah. And so I paired this like thirteen year old
- 57:42Speaker 1: girl that I dated with like you know an angel, yeah,
- 57:47Speaker 1: you know, Buddha or whatever.
- 57:48Speaker 6: So some of the most violent, sort of in depth,
- 57:52Speaker 6: intense relationships I ever had were with people that I
- 57:55Speaker 6: dated for two weeks when I was eleven. I've never
- 57:59Speaker 6: felt that kind of raye. I've never felt that kind
- 58:01Speaker 6: of passion.
- 58:01Speaker 1: My goddess is Charlotte, and I need to be worshiping her. Wow,
- 58:04Speaker 1: you found your religion? Yeah, oh my god.
- 58:07Speaker 5: And that's the wow.
- 58:09Speaker 1: The play. That's amazing.
- 58:10Speaker 6: Really, that's the play.
- 58:11Speaker 7: I got the whole play about this. That's amazing.
- 58:14Speaker 4: Guys. Guys, come see to Hell and Back. It's at
- 58:18Speaker 4: the Hullaballoo Stage three point thirty pm. And if you
- 58:22Speaker 4: buy two tickets for the next week, you get one
- 58:26Speaker 4: also as well.
- 58:28Speaker 6: And also if you want to see my show Bully
- 58:31Speaker 6: Question Mark, you can catch it for the next three
- 58:33Speaker 6: weeks coming up very very soon at the Gershwin Theater
- 58:35Speaker 6: in New York City.
- 58:36Speaker 7: Come see my show at the Ditch at Stinkies. I'm
- 58:40Speaker 7: gonna be over outside there.
- 58:43Speaker 2: I think I'm doing I think I'm doing a marathon,
- 58:45Speaker 2: or I'm doing the show twenty times in a row
- 58:48Speaker 2: pretty soon.
- 58:49Speaker 3: Come see my show. It's on the corner of Lebrea
- 58:51Speaker 3: and Tarpit. We'll pick you up.
- 58:54Speaker 5: You just wave your hand, get in line, we'll pick
- 58:56Speaker 5: you up.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Just buckle up and check out my show. Ow nuts,
- 59:01Speaker 1: we are in the black Boxes black Boxes bathroom. It's
- 59:04Speaker 1: a fifteen seat theater. It's called the bathroom. It's not
- 59:07Speaker 1: actually a bathroom, and they don't have a bathroom. Come
- 59:10Speaker 1: check it out. It's gonna be probably three audience members
- 59:13Speaker 1: and a bunch of execs.
- 59:14Speaker 5: Oh yeah, we should all mention for our friends shows.
- 59:16Speaker 3: If we don't. I don't have a bathroom. You don't
- 59:18Speaker 3: have a bathroom, no bathroom to break into our show.
- 59:20Speaker 6: The Gershwin has about seven bathrooms. That's awesome.
- 59:24Speaker 4: Yeah, Starbucks across the street. Great bathrooms.
- 59:27Speaker 1: Such a good bathroom. Really good. Should we just like
- 59:31Speaker 1: maybe like give your favorite line of dialogue from your play,
- 59:35Speaker 1: like just like that's a little bit of like I
- 59:37Speaker 1: just can't get We just can't leave that. I honestly
- 59:41Speaker 1: feel like I'm in a solo show. Right.
- 59:44Speaker 4: It's because in a solo show where you're like, surely
- 59:48Speaker 4: it ends now, but there's always fifteen more minutes.
- 59:51Speaker 5: And you're literally waiting for someone to be like end
- 59:53Speaker 5: of But let's.
- 59:54Speaker 4: Do the final line of all our shows, genius.
- 59:57Speaker 5: Because there was like five endings and that is like
- 59:59Speaker 5: a a friend show.
- 1:00:00Speaker 6: Perfect.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: Okay, I'll do mine. Huh. I guess after all this time,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: the only nuts I like were mine.
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: Southern California is not created all the same, and.
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: I guess I'll just pull over right here. If you
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: left anything, make sure you take your phone and water.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: Oh, it's like an info line.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: Lord my soul to keep and if I die before
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to fuck
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: up the butt.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: It's the last line.
- 1:00:47Speaker 6: Wow, and mine is let me try and find it.
- 1:00:55Speaker 5: It's not my fault and you're actually fucking ugly.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: This has been artists on artsts on hartists and artists
