- 0:00Speaker 1: I am Sherry Mackie, and it's time for us to
- 0:02Speaker 1: go to God in prayer, and as always, I ask
- 0:05Speaker 1: that you join along with me in prayer. You know,
- 0:09Speaker 1: Pastor Reginald Sharp was ministering and teaching talking about that
- 0:14Speaker 1: man in the mirror instead of the one out, the
- 0:16Speaker 1: one to child. That was awesome. That's what I want
- 0:20Speaker 1: to pray about on today, taking that personal accountability and
- 0:24Speaker 1: growth and humility before God before you judge somebody else. Heavenly, Father,
- 0:29Speaker 1: in the name of Jesus, we come before you today humboldt,
- 0:33Speaker 1: knowing that too often, God, we're quick to look out
- 0:37Speaker 1: the window at others while neglecting to look honestly in
- 0:41Speaker 1: the mirror at ourselves. Lord, your word tells us in
- 0:45Speaker 1: Matthew seven, to first take the beam out of our
- 0:49Speaker 1: own eye before we try to remove the speck from
- 0:52Speaker 1: our brothers. I so today, Father, we ask you to
- 0:56Speaker 1: help us turn our gaze inward, to allow the Holy
- 0:59Speaker 1: Spirit to search our hearts and reveal what needs to
- 1:03Speaker 1: be revealed, corrected, and renewed. Lord, forgive us for the
- 1:08Speaker 1: times we've judged others more harshly than we judge ourselves.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Forgive us for pointing fingers at the faults of others,
- 1:17Speaker 1: while ignoring our own attitudes, our own habits, our own sins.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Teach us to stand before the mirror of your word
- 1:26Speaker 1: with honesty and humility, letting it reflect back the truth
- 1:30Speaker 1: of who we are and who you are calling us
- 1:33Speaker 1: to be. Father, give us the courage to face the
- 1:37Speaker 1: parts of ourselves that we would rather hide. Replace pride
- 1:41Speaker 1: God with humility, resentment with forgiveness, and anger with gentleness,
- 1:46Speaker 1: and selfishness with love. Let the fruit of the spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness,
- 1:56Speaker 1: and self control become visible in our lives than when
- 2:00Speaker 1: others see us, God, they see you, Lord, help us
- 2:05Speaker 1: to be less concerned with fixing others and more concerned
- 2:09Speaker 1: with being transformed by your spirit. God, let us live
- 2:13Speaker 1: as examples, not critics, as encourage us, not accuse us,
- 2:18Speaker 1: as peacemakers and not troublemakers. And as you change us
- 2:22Speaker 1: from the inside out, God, let that transformation ripple outward
- 2:27Speaker 1: into our families, into our communities. In every relationship that
- 2:31Speaker 1: we touch, Father, we declare today we will not live
- 2:36Speaker 1: with a critical spirit. We will not be consumed with judgment. Instead,
- 2:41Speaker 1: we will focus on the man or the woman in
- 2:43Speaker 1: the mirror, surrendering daily to the refining power of the
- 2:48Speaker 1: Holy Spirit. God, we will live to please you, and
- 2:52Speaker 1: by your grace, God, we will become who you've called
- 2:56Speaker 1: us to be. Lord. We thank you that you our
- 3:00Speaker 1: patient with us, molding us, shaping us, and growing us
- 3:04Speaker 1: day by day. God, let us walk home belated with you,
- 3:08Speaker 1: always remembering that true change begins not with the window,
- 3:13Speaker 1: but with the mirror. In Jesus' name, Amen,
