- 0:53support of our listeners. Thanks so much for your support. Well, coming
- 0:56up later on in the program, we will bring you the conclusion the Valentine
- 1:00matter. But first up, it's time for part four of Call for Calmness
- 1:17Carta brown Mystery Adventures in Excitement and Suspense, based on the best selling novels
- 1:26by the slick storytelling sensation Pata Brown I was pounding enough quite a score of
- 1:45arts for a harmless column, as too wanted nothing but the hangout of his
- 1:48popularity with the four million readers of his column Dynamite with Johnny Lane Is.
- 1:53If it wasn't enough to be kidnapped and forced to write statements labeling the chief
- 1:56of police and Senator Rowland headed a vice investigation, many statements which brought a
- 2:00two million dollars damage suit against my paper and just incidentally looked like putting me
- 2:06behind bars. As if that wasn't enough, I had to walk into the
- 2:08apartment of a heavenly hungry humanity, Simone the Adagio Dancer, only to find
- 2:14a partner, Simon, proposing to make a national hero out of me by
- 2:17murdering me. I sat there, hardly believing my eyes as he slowly took
- 2:23off his time. Just relaxed, mister Lynn. It will be all over
- 2:25in a moment. A time makes such an excellent weapon for a man like
- 2:30me. You have seen I act my nan, Simon. I throw her
- 2:35across the stage. He's all in the wrists and thinkers. You know.
- 2:38No, no, I didn't know. And the same thing applies because strangely
- 2:43he's all in the wrists and thinkers. So you took care of Albert Ferrara,
- 2:46of course, just as I am going to take care of you.
- 2:52Ah, this situation is winning hand. I see so much, Simone.
- 2:57Where my poor little Johnny. It seems that we should navi get around you
- 3:01having a quiet into our shoes. You're a part of it too, but
- 3:06calls you are just in time, Simon or the climax, Yeah, just
- 3:09in time. Oh what do you know? I knocked them cold. I
- 3:16don't believe it. It's rabbits like you. I don't believe it either.
- 3:22I like it near baby, No, no, yes, yes baby.
- 3:27I don't know why I never thought of this before. What are you going
- 3:30to do? What no gentleman ever does to a lady? For a moment,
- 3:37I just stood there looking at the pair of them, laid out on
- 3:39the floor like phillips a fish on a slab. I didn't know how to
- 3:44come over me, but whatever it was, I was enjoying it. I
- 3:47employed my new found personality in a number of phone calls, and half an
- 3:51hour later the door opened and my ex bodyguard, Tony Spencer walked in.
- 3:54Well, Johnny, so he decided you couldn't get along without me, after
- 3:58all? You could put it that way. Actually, I called your boss,
- 4:01mister Rots, because I need someone to look after a couple of people
- 4:03for me. You mean bump them off? No, just kid, and
- 4:06I have'em ay in the bath both. That's right? You might if
- 4:13I go and take a look. Not at all, I hope you're saying.
- 4:15Thanks. I don't get this, recognize them at uh? Who tied
- 4:27them? Up and put them in the bath for you, I did you
- 4:30me. I am a changed man since you last saw me. You know,
- 4:35it's an almost belike, Bay. There is something different about you.
- 4:41I've decided I'm really the masterful he man type. In fact, I've decided
- 4:44that I'm going to call Captain Stager please headquarters, get him to come over
- 4:47and take charge of these characters, and then you and I, yes,
- 4:50John, you and I will go out for a little celebration. And I'm
- 4:54not taking no for an answer. I'm not saying no. Johnny, your
- 5:10reading paper, missie, oh thanks, shure here to let me take a
- 5:13look at this right in the front page. But Johnny, this says that
- 5:17you're going to prove that every allegation you made about Senator Rowland and the chief
- 5:21police was true, and that you're going to do it tomorrow at the year
- 5:26end of the investigation Committieu. Huh. I thought i'd have trouble with my
- 5:29editor getting him to run that, but I convinced him that since the paper
- 5:31was being sued for two million bucks already, you might as well be hanged
- 5:34for sheep as a lamp. So you're amazing. I think so too.
- 5:39So excuse me, mister Lynne, I could not hear it over hearing.
- 5:42Yeah, what is it, Joe, If you really intend to prove your
- 5:46accusations, mister Lynne, I think I can hear it. Yeah. We
- 5:49are not immune to racketeers here. We have to pay our tribute to stay
- 5:54in business. But if you have the courage to defy them, I feel
- 6:00I should have the courage to support you. And I have a receipts in
- 6:03my office that would interest you immensely. You have if you could spare a
- 6:08few moments and come to my office, I will give them to you.
- 6:11Thanks, sure, thanks a lot. You'll excuse me. What's your toney?
- 6:14Well, there is no need why the young lady should not accompany us.
- 6:16Okay, come on, honey, this way, monsieur lady. Ma'mo
- 6:20dead here? Yeah, please go in, Monsieur Lane. I have a
- 6:30gun at your back and I would not like a corpse. Literally my card
- 6:33dough juo, what is this inside, Monsieur Lenne? You too, Mamadine?
- 6:42Hello, Johnny tom right, pleased to see me and two words,
- 6:47no, man, it is true what it says in his column. He
- 6:50threatens to prove his accusation. The accusation. JU made me right, Baby,
- 6:54I wish you'd kept your nose out, Johnny. If Simon hadn't bungled
- 6:58his job been dead before you've could have written that now. But he did
- 7:00bungle his job, and he's now tucked away quietly waiting for the inquiry to
- 7:04start tomorrow when he's going to do a little talking. But you're going to
- 7:08tell us where to find him. I don't think I am. That's one
- 7:13for the books, Johnny, Lena top guy. You're a lily, Johnny.
- 7:17You'd faint if anyone swattered a fly in front of you, would I
- 7:24know? You won't nice work? Would you like it? If you don't,
- 7:29Johnny, I'm not yet, honey, Bah, then I'm at the
- 7:31business end of the gun. I'll have a few answers. Hush, where
- 7:35do you fit in? You're the leader of the opposition that Simon told me
- 7:40about. Huh. Yes. I handled the distribution for a long time,
- 7:44but it got too good as far as he was concerned. He'd switched some
- 7:49of it to Lotule Prager. At the Blue Diamond. My tickets were cut
- 7:53by half. Then when Helmer came along and put me in the picture I
- 7:58thought the most time I did something, he will do something, all right,
- 8:00an Iceland stretch. As for you, fella, you'll fry. What
- 8:03are you talking about? The Ferraro killing an Island stocking at straggle? Him
- 8:07was a sure clue that a woman killed him. A lie. I never
- 8:11killed him. It was Simon. I think he'll say it was you and
- 8:13his partner, Simone will back him up. That's two to one. Oh,
- 8:16I didn't kill him. I squire it. Oh, I believe you.
- 8:18I know Simon did it. He likes straggling. But I don't think
- 8:22anyone else will believe you. So I'll talk. I'll tell you everything I
- 8:26know about the silator and about a burna. Don't send me up on a
- 8:30motor rep. I'll talk, Johnny, I'll talk. It was quite a
- 8:39scene in the courtroom next morning, A crowd packed the public benches. Up
- 8:43on the platform set the investigation committee, headed by Senator Rowland, an imposing
- 8:48figure, gray haired, substantial, the complete picture of an honor, straightforward
- 8:52American politician. He made his opening speech the blend of fancy platitude and phony
- 8:56petfietism. Then he got around to me. The chief protagonist of the accusations
- 9:05made against the Committee, and in particular against the Chief of Police of Burne
- 9:09is here today. And so this Committee has decided that, in the interests
- 9:13of justice, this matter should be dealt with. First of all, I
- 9:18hereby call John Lane to appear before the committee. Have you a lawyer,
- 9:24mister Lane, you're entitled to legal advice. I don't need any. Thanks
- 9:28very well you are, John Lane. Yes, your employed as a journalist,
- 9:31a columnist. That's one step up or down, depending how I feel
- 9:35about it. Certain statements have appeared in your column. As a result of
- 9:39them, certain writs have been issued against your newspaper and yourself for damages pliable?
- 9:46Is that correct? I have a stance of and mister Lane, you
- 9:48will agree that these statements of yours are either true or fault. Actually,
- 9:52if they are false, I'm wasting the committee's time and questioning presumably, And
- 9:58if they are true, been up to you to prove quite very good,
- 10:03mister Lene, how do you propose to do that? I'd like to ask
- 10:05some questions, if I may, whom do you wish to address your question
- 10:09to the chief of police, to you, Senator and various other people very
- 10:15well. You may call whom you please. Mister Lane, thank you.
- 10:18I'd like to call Chief of Police Michael Albyrn. Chief. I'm not too
- 10:24good and formal procedure, so I guess we can take it as read that
- 10:26your Chief of police and your name is Michael Albern Very well, Chief?
- 10:31How much do you earn a year? Senator? Do I have to answer
- 10:33that? Questions public knowledge? Chief? Anyone can find out by reading the
- 10:37city ordinances. Your salary is ten thousand dollars a year, if you know
- 10:41who I ask, and you wearn ten thousand dollars a year, yes,
- 10:45no more, of course not. Does your wife work? No, mister
- 10:50Lyne, we have not unlimited time. I am afraid I don't see the
- 10:52point of these questions. You will, Senator now, Chief, If you're
- 10:56income US ten thousand a year and your wife doesn't work, how is your
- 11:00wife able to deposit two thousand dollars a month into our bank account? It's
- 11:03a lie. Not according to this statement obtained from the manager of a bank
- 11:07by Captain Stager the Police Department. According to the statement, your wife has
- 11:11at the moment a total of some twenty eight thousand dollars in our account,
- 11:16and two thousand dollars are paid in regularly on the eighth day of every month.
- 11:20The deposits are made by a mister Smith, mister Lane. There's probably
- 11:26some quite simple explanation of this. I cannot tolerate the Chief being put through
- 11:30the hoop just for the sake of satisfying your craving for publiciting. Very well,
- 11:35Senator, I'm prepared to weave any further questioning of the Keith Police.
- 11:39Instead, I'd like to call Belma Radley. Why if you look, you'll
- 11:43see are coming in now together with three people who are here to prove my
- 11:46statements. Will Miss Radley step forward, please with pleasure? He wouldn't do
- 11:52this, wouldn't I. My name is Thoma Radley, and until six weeks
- 11:56ago I lived in an apartment on Dame Street, which was wholly maintained by
- 12:01Senator Rollers. During the previous six months when I was with him, he
- 12:05made me his confidence concerning many of his business affairs. I learned that he
- 12:11controlled the vice rackets of the city. The Chief of Police was paid two
- 12:15thousand dollars a month to cooperate with Roland and leave the rackets alone. And
- 12:22let's Investigation Committee is postposed indefinitely. Captain Steer, your honored to the arrest
- 12:28the keeper police and will Inflaire the Roland Goddess will be preferred later and get
- 12:33them out of here fat before they get link. Oh Lyne, you were
- 12:41wonderful. Oh yes, the way you handle things in that cartroom why they
- 12:48ought to make you distc attendants? It made me a bad idea of films.
- 12:52See why I shouldn't run to thea. How got it? That is
- 12:56proposition? Yeah? How'd you like to be my body side permanently? The
- 13:03spencer? Is this a proposal of married? What do you say? No,
- 13:09I was afraid of that. I hate to do this, Johnny,
- 13:16but I've made up my mind. Don't worry, honey. By the time
- 13:22you come to it will be all over and you like it. That's a
- 13:30promise. This is Karter Brown. You know there are some stories that you
- 13:48get a real kick out of writing. Corporate Commis was front of them,
- 13:52and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Next week I'll
- 13:54be back to present another of my books for you. This one is called
- 13:58Assignment Trouble and it has as when in background combining journalism and public relations combination
- 14:03with your just plain murder. So for now, this is Carter Brown saying
- 14:07he's seeing you, I hope. In Call for a Columnist, you heard
- 14:26Wendy faith Er as Tony and as Johnny Lane. You heard our star Joe
- 14:31mccomic. The Carter Brown Mystery of Theater from the bestselling novels by Carter Brown
- 14:35is dramatized and directed by Morris Travers for Brace Gibson Radio production Welcome Back Well.
- 14:54The story is resolved by Johnny Lane having a fundamental change in character.
- 15:01That's very convenient, an interesting conclusion, to say the least. I always
- 15:09thought that a lot of these Carter Brown mysteries they were kind of the equivalent
- 15:15of the spaghetti westerns, and this would probably be exhibit a in that in
- 15:20that thought pattern we do listener comments and feedback on this. Tom sends in
- 15:30a tweet, Hey, and call for a calumnist. In the middle of
- 15:33the episodes, was that saint? Was that the same music as Barry Craig's
- 15:37theme. Certainly sounds like it to me. It sounds like it or a
- 15:41variation of it being used in the middle as a bridge. If there are
- 15:46any better musical experts out there. I'm all ears. All right. Well,
- 15:52now it's time or today's episode of Yours Truly Johnny Doller, as we
- 15:58wrap up the val Matter, Part five from Hollywood. It's time now for
- 16:07Johnny Deller. What are you doing at the Valentine? Get a car out
- 16:11here, quick, Inspector Terry. Valentine's just been shot. Two guys showed
- 16:14up. Slow downs happened a few seconds agoin tell good Devakah. She died
- 16:19in my arms. What do you think they're still around there? They must
- 16:22be. I'm going looking now. Wait a minute, Wait a minute,
- 16:25this is a police matter, you Steve Putt. I'll have a car then
- 16:26five minutes and you can. Johnny, I heard that. You're gone.
- 16:32Now look you're all armed up. Don't do anything tonight and every weekday Night.
- 16:44Bob Bailey and the Transcribed Adventures of the Man with the Action Packed Expense
- 16:47Account America's fabulous freelance insurance Investigator, Yours Truly, Johnny Deller. Expense account
- 17:02submitted by special Investigator Johnny Doller to the New Britain Mutual Insurance Company in Hartford,
- 17:07Connecticut. The following is an accounting of further expenditures during my investigation of
- 17:11the Valentine matter. Dan Valentine ex gangster and of course your policy holder.
- 17:18But then his wife was killed too, then his lawyer, then his daughter,
- 17:23the girl that I thirty seconds after Terry Valentine died in my arms.
- 17:30I was stumbling down the gravel path that led from her house to the road,
- 17:33and it all happened so suddenly. I can't say that what I did
- 17:36from there on or what I felt was entirely rational. All I know is
- 17:40I hadn't heard a car leave the area, which meant the two killers were
- 17:42still somewhere nearby. Then in the dim light, I saw the car.
- 17:45A man was climbing into it. Hey, hey, stop stop her all
- 17:52shoot stop. Get out of there. Get out of there and get your
- 18:11hands up. I'm a hid I'm afraid to move. Come on, get
- 18:17out, corn, I'm coming. I'm coming. You tell come on,
- 18:19con no you son him, mister used up. You've got him real good.
- 18:26I need a doctor. Help me get to a dop right there,
- 18:30dock standstill, you pretty tough fella. What's your name? She's just know
- 18:36what it's good enough for you. I need a doctor, bad listen.
- 18:41Oh tell it to me. Tell it to me right now. If you
- 18:45don't tell it to me now, you'll never tell it to anybody. Tell
- 18:47it. No, cut, I need doctor, tell it. I die
- 18:52first. Johnny, Johnny, what is this? Who's He's gonna kill me?
- 19:00He's gonna kill me. You'd better give me that gun. Johnny,
- 19:03still, take care of him. Thanks. I should have done it.
- 19:08I wanted to do it. I no, son, come on, let's
- 19:11get out of here. But I didn't get out of there. I waited
- 19:18around while they dug the body of the other man out of the smashed up
- 19:22car, and while they carried the still inform of Terrasa Valentine away. She
- 19:27was the third member of the family who had died violently within three days.
- 19:38I'm sorry about it, Donna, inspector. I was hoping I might have
- 19:44been wrong, but she wasn't dead. Oh, you weren't wrong. Which
- 19:48one shot her? The dead one? The one we still got in the
- 19:52hospital. Oh, I don't know both of them. I guess you don't
- 19:56feel like talking. I'm just trying to pin it. What about him?
- 20:00Can't get much out of him so far. He's in pretty bad sheep.
- 20:04Let me ask him some questions, Inspector, I'm no police officer. I
- 20:07don't have to obey any rules. Easy, kid, you were about to
- 20:11do that once and we'd be holding you for murder if you're going ahead.
- 20:14I know how you feel about race of Valentine. Has he said anything at
- 20:18all? Nothing? We found papers on him and the other one that makes
- 20:22some brothers, sister and Darby Chianity New York. So far, it didn't
- 20:26seem to be any connection with the Valentine's. People like Valentine make a lot
- 20:32of enemies. That girl doesn't figure. Yeah, I know you talked to
- 20:37her a lot these less couple of days, Johnny. What you say,
- 20:41Oh, nothing that had anything to deal with this? You know yourself.
- 20:45She didn't even know her name was Valentine until her father got shot at Yeah,
- 20:48it could have been an act and you could have been twenty feet tall,
- 20:51just trying trying with that punk he got upstairs in the hospital. We
- 20:55will, Johnny, we will just Johnny bad news. Maybe I spoke too
- 21:12soon? Why sister Chianti died five minutes ago? Expense account i'dam ten ten
- 21:23bucks car at all. I went out to the Valentine house once more.
- 21:30Oh, mister dog, hello missus. Yet you know please come in.
- 21:34So many police and so many reporters. I've been trying to close the house.
- 21:40Sure, I know how you must feel, I mean about her.
- 21:45Yeah. What are these brothers? Well, we don't know much about them
- 21:51yet. The New York police are still doing a rundown on them. Don't
- 21:56let me stop you whatever you're doing. Oh, just look around if you
- 21:57don't mind, all right. Oh one thing, Yes, did mister Valentine
- 22:03make any provision for you? Yeah? A thousand dollars. Whatever he was
- 22:12the man I knew was kind and good, and he scenes had been forgiven
- 22:19him. I spent two hours Bettern't going from Rome to Rome looking at the
- 22:27oils that Dan Valentine had painted, pastoral scenes, happy scenes, gay scenes,
- 22:36all of them with colorful Italian backgrounds. I was thinking about that when
- 22:40I walked into inspected Tobacca's office late that afternoon. I don't get it,
- 22:44Johnny, don't get what here. Just came from New York on the chanty
- 22:48boards. Oh. They came to this country when they were eighteen and twenty
- 22:51one. Both of them were naturalized citizens, lived with their father. Records
- 22:53not a thing, No trouble everyone else. That's about it. New York,
- 22:57please can't seem to locate their old man disappeared about a week ago,
- 23:02lived on the side. What's about him? That's another funny thing. He's
- 23:04taken out his papers and was due from examination with the immigration people this week.
- 23:08They're looking for him too. We went on and had dinner together and
- 23:17talked about the case. It had been a strange one, the deaths were
- 23:22useless, the motives unknown. I parted company with Inspector Debaca and went back
- 23:26to my hotel to trouble it out with sleep. About eleven o'clock I had
- 23:30a phone call Johnny Dollars Debacer. Old man Janny just showed up, but
- 23:36I said, Marge, and wants to take his two cents back to New
- 23:38York for burial. Twenty minutes later, I was standing in the corner's office
- 23:45while inspected Tobacca led a small, wizzled old man into the room and set
- 23:48him down on one of the chairs. It's Jenny, it's mister Donner.
- 23:53How do you do mister Channy? I read about you. You kill my
- 24:00boys? Yes, they'd killed four other people. No, no, but
- 24:08why did they kill the Valentine family. Mister Chatty, why did they kill
- 24:12Conrad Webster the lawyer? Do you know why? She? I know?
- 24:21Then tell me they're all dead now I am. I'm still alive with mister
- 24:30Dowler. He refused to talk about his sons or any of their activities.
- 24:37Debacca held him to answer to the immigration officials. He remained in his cell,
- 24:42silent and noncommitted to all visitors, including the chaplain. I appeared before
- 24:48the coroner's jury the following morning, was clear of any charges. Petric Channti
- 24:52still had said nothing, and he looked at me as though he was going
- 24:56to keep on saying nothing. That's a chunny, I see you, mister
- 25:02daughter. More questions, Dan Valentine's wife was your daughter? Wasn't she?
- 25:10Wasn't she? All right? You don't have to admit it. I have
- 25:12a copy of the marriage license right here. It came from New York this
- 25:15morning. She wasn't my daughter? Is that all you have to say?
- 25:21Now? I know? Talk then I will, mister Chunny, Because your
- 25:26daughter, Missus Valentine, had a daughter herself, Teresa, a lovely,
- 25:30wonderful girl that your two sons killed. I happen to know that girl.
- 25:36I might have been in love with her. I don't know, but I
- 25:37do know she had to die too. What this Conrad Webster, mister Valentine,
- 25:48and my own daughter and granddaughter. He had to die all bad?
- 25:56You see, I order it, she ordered it? And who are you
- 26:07god? I am the father. When a daughter marries a bad man,
- 26:15only a bad can come from it. The granddaughter was then bad. He
- 26:21come to our village many years ago, take her away. He and the
- 26:27man Webster help him. It lived with me, the stealing of my own
- 26:34of flesh and blood. All this time, it grow inside of me.
- 26:41I am old, but they keep on living, only so I can come
- 26:47here and find him and destroy him and her and the daughter and the lawyer,
- 26:52a man who help him. And I destroyed him through my sons,
- 27:00whole family. Vendetta was that it. If you like Bendetta, he was
- 27:11a bad man who did bad things. Batman, Okay, I smoke,
- 27:22Now you have a cicaro. The disposition of Old Pietro County is up to
- 27:33the Immigration Department. I didn't stay around New Orleans to learn the results of
- 27:37all the extensive examinations that would have to be completed to test a sanity.
- 27:42I'd had enough of the town expense account IDEM eleven one hundred forty dollars and
- 27:51twenty cents. Hotel on board IDEM twelve twenty eight dollars, car rental miscellaneous
- 27:56that includes flowers to the Valentine family Item thirteen same as Item one, one
- 28:02hundred and seventy five dollars. Transportation back home expense account total twelve hundred and
- 28:07ninety dollars thirty eight cents. Remarks Whenever I close my eyes, I can
- 28:15see a lovely girl standing at the bottom of a long, curving stairway,
- 28:18smiling. Because I'm in the room. That's all yours, Trulli, Johnny
- 28:26Dollar. Remember please, there'll be another exciting story for you beginning next Monday
- 28:45night. Monday the local diamond matter and what's your trip to Algiers makes Come
- 28:49with me to the casbah sound like an invitation to a Sunday school picnic?
- 28:56Join us, won't you yours? Trulli, Johnny Dollar, Yours truly Johnny
- 29:22Doller, starring Bob Bailey, is transcribed in Hollywood. Written by John Dawson,
- 29:27it is produced and directed by Jack Johnstone. Heard in this week's cast,
- 29:32where Lillian Bayeff, Betty lou Gerson, Barney Phillips will write Forrest Lewis,
- 29:37Marvin Miller, Janeavello and Jack Boyles. Be sure to join us on
- 29:41Monday night, same time and station for another exciting story of Yours Truly Johnny
- 29:47Doller, Roy Rowan speaking welcome back. What a great episode. You know,
- 30:53there aren't what a ton of of a kind of gut ratine or really
- 31:04emotionally charged episodes, but this was clearly one, and I think it worked
- 31:11so well. They really put this together from a dramatic standpoint, very well,
- 31:15right from the first part of the story where uh, Tobacca is talking
- 31:22to Johnny and you hear you hear the the gun being cocked and Johnny hanging
- 31:30up the phone. Uh, just you know, very powerful, right all
- 31:34the way up until the last nine the last moment the note in that report.
- 31:41Just an incredible job. I shouldn't mention that this was adapted from actually
- 31:48two separate Yours Truly Johnny Doller episodes. Uh This this episode was based on
- 31:56the Uh You Yours Truly Johnny Dowler episode The San Antonio Matter, written by
- 32:04E. Jack Newman and also on an episode of Nightbeat called Big John McMaster
- 32:10from nineteen fifty one, also by E. Jack Newman of course wrote this
- 32:16episode under the name of John Dawson. And really this just continues to show
- 32:22what you can do with radio drama if given suspicient time. It's remarkable so
- 32:31many half hour dramas what they were able to do, but in this hour
- 32:37plus of story time, they really don't waste any of it. So I
- 32:42think it was just absolutely a phenomenal job. Well, when we turned out
- 32:45a listener comments and feedback, and Justin said, it's sad that there are
- 32:50no more George Valentine podcasts. The new Sherlock Holmes is not as good as
- 32:53the old one. So right now I'm listening to Johnny Dowler. Any other
- 32:58suggestions that are What are any good Detector shows besides the ones mentioned Well,
- 33:05Justin, I hope you get some answers on Facebook. I'm bad judge because
- 33:09I think all of them are pretty good. I've actually been enjoying the more
- 33:14recent Sherlock Holmes than the ones we were playing previously with John Stanley, but
- 33:22to each their own. I think that if you don't enjoy the Sherlock Holmes
- 33:29series, be listening about eleven weeks. We're going to begin the Nick Carter
- 33:36series on Thursday's replacing Holmes, and then on Tuesday and two weeks we'll be
- 33:44adding the Big Guy, and then three weeks after that, when the Big
- 33:47Guys done, that will be replaced by mister Moto. And then we also
- 33:53have a review on the app from Zippy, who says, with so many
- 34:00apps out there, it's nice to find one that works and isn't loaded with
- 34:05ads, very well put together and the shows are great. Glad you're enjoying
- 34:08the app, Zippy. And that will finish up for today a few programming
- 34:15notes. Join us tomorrow for the lineup, and then join us back here
- 34:21on Monday for new Johnny Dollar Adventure, and on Friday we'll have another Carter
- 34:25Brown serial. In the meantime, be sure and fill out our listeners survey
