- 0:07Speaker 2: a beautiful Friday, May 15th. We welcome you, Ron Furb,
- 0:09Speaker 2: from the kingdom of Mahoning. I am, I am. With
- 0:12Speaker 2: 68 degrees here on a beautiful Friday afternoon. Did you
- 0:17Speaker 2: see Monday? It's going to get close to 90. You
- 0:21Speaker 2: think on Monday when it gets close to 90 degrees,
- 0:23Speaker 2: would you folks get irritated with me if I start
- 0:25Speaker 2: complaining on how hot and humid it is?
- 0:27Speaker 3: No.
- 0:29Speaker 2: I know what you're thinking. Listen, it's been it's been
- 0:32Speaker 2: temperatures been below normal. It's been raining all the time
- 0:35Speaker 2: and all of that kind of jazz. And there's my dilemma.
- 0:40Speaker 2: So you think of that. So if I come on
- 0:42Speaker 2: Monday at three and say, is it just me or boy,
- 0:45Speaker 2: I'm getting a little tired of this hot, humid weather
- 0:47Speaker 2: because Monday's going to be close to 90. I might
- 0:50Speaker 2: do it anyway just to get under your skin. Let's
- 0:52Speaker 2: see what can happen. Anyway, good Friday to you. Ron Verb,
- 0:56Speaker 2: NewsRadio 570 WKBN. My top secret number is always 330-729-9977.
- 0:59Speaker 4: 330-729-9977.
- 0:59Speaker 2: We'll get you through to us on NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 1:01Speaker 2: So keep all of that in mind. And you say, well, Ron,
- 1:02Speaker 2: do we have baseball today? And my answer to that
- 1:05Speaker 2: is yes, we do. We do have baseball today. And
- 1:23Speaker 2: when is that going to be? Well, I will answer
- 1:25Speaker 2: that question for you. Tonight, 7-10. That means 6-30 will
- 1:29Speaker 2: be the first, the pregame show. Coming your way at
- 1:32Speaker 2: 6-30 tonight. Cincinnati and the Guardians will play tonight, 6-30,
- 1:38Speaker 2: the pregame on NewsRadio 570. So we have almost a
- 1:42Speaker 2: full broadcast. The key word being almost. Let's see. I
- 1:47Speaker 2: know there's Ted the Conservative here somewhere. And let me
- 1:52Speaker 2: just see here. I forgot the rotation here. Hello? You're
- 1:57Speaker 2: on air?
- 1:58Speaker 5: Yeah, Ron, I only take a few minutes, like two
- 2:01Speaker 5: minutes of your time so you can.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Get to bed. I was just bragging about you to
- 2:05Speaker 2: someone today.
- 2:07Speaker 5: Well, you're not going to be bragging about me now.
- 2:09Speaker 6: I know.
- 2:10Speaker 2: I was saying, J.J. the liberal. You know, I said, J.J.
- 2:13Speaker 2: the liberal is dependable. And I said, when we get
- 2:17Speaker 2: done with the Guardians games and that kind of stuff,
- 2:21Speaker 2: He listens to the Guardians game, and when we come
- 2:23Speaker 2: on with the program, he's first out of the gate.
- 2:26Speaker 2: He's first out of the gate and a great contributor.
- 2:31Speaker 2: This is really what I was saying. I'm going to
- 2:34Speaker 2: irritate a lot of people who listen to the program.
- 2:36Speaker 2: I said J.J. the Liberal is first out of the gate.
- 2:39Speaker 2: He's there when the game is done. He's there to contribute.
- 2:43Speaker 2: He's there to add to the program on a regular basis.
- 2:47Speaker 2: And whether you agree with them or disagree with them.
- 2:50Speaker 2: So there you go. You know why?
- 2:53Speaker 4: Oh, why?
- 2:53Speaker 5: You know why?
- 2:54Speaker 2: Because you love me?
- 2:54Speaker 5: Because I'm on the dole.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Oh, you're on the dole. Okay.
- 2:57Speaker 5: First of all, there's a couple of things I just
- 2:59Speaker 5: want to bring to your attention.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Oh, wait a minute. Wait a minute. I'll answer the question. Yeah,
- 3:04Speaker 2: I do know why. Because you're old and on Social Security.
- 3:10Speaker 5: Oh, no, no, no. Social Security.
- 3:11Speaker 2: You earned it.
- 3:29Speaker 5: I am eternally grateful that you guys want to, you know,
- 3:32Speaker 5: and I apologize for reaching in and taking it out
- 3:35Speaker 5: of your guys' pockets, so please forgive me for that.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Well, wait a minute. Wait a minute. You're on Social Security, right?
- 3:41Speaker 2: You took Social Security. Yeah, but I'm on the dole.
- 3:43Speaker 5: I'm taking from you guys because I never earned that.
- 3:45Speaker 5: I never earned that. So, second of all, I wanted
- 3:47Speaker 5: to let you guys know that you do know That
- 3:50Speaker 5: red states are the ones that take more money. For
- 3:54Speaker 5: every $ 2 that they get, they give a dollar to
- 3:57Speaker 5: the federal government. Not unlike some blue states that actually
- 4:03Speaker 5: carry the red states. So that's number one. Number two.
- 4:07Speaker 5: I want to tell you the reason why I don't
- 4:08Speaker 5: believe judges should be able to have to show or
- 4:11Speaker 5: tell why they're a political party, because maybe you can
- 4:15Speaker 5: help me on this, because that would be very bad,
- 4:19Speaker 5: because all he has to do is he'd be elected.
- 4:21Speaker 5: If he's a staunch Republican or Democrat, if he gets
- 4:25Speaker 5: a person who is now considered a Democrat, uh, uh, a, uh,
- 4:30Speaker 5: a person who's on trial or a victim or whatever,
- 4:33Speaker 5: they can use that against that judge or that judge
- 4:35Speaker 5: can use that against them. So I hope, and I,
- 4:38Speaker 5: and I know you were kind of going along with
- 4:40Speaker 5: it yesterday, but I, I just was kind of curious.
- 4:42Speaker 5: That's my, my, my second, I'm on a roll today,
- 4:44Speaker 5: but that was my second one. And, um, you guys
- 4:47Speaker 5: do know that you guys are upset with the government.
- 4:49Speaker 5: You do know that Trump is in charge six of
- 4:51Speaker 5: the last 10 years, right? So that's another thing. And finally, um,
- 4:55Speaker 5: you know, it's, um, You guys.
- 4:57Speaker 7: Don't want to vote for Democrats.
- 4:58Speaker 5: You think we're such libtards and horrible, horrible people that
- 5:02Speaker 5: I hear you guys talk about us. But you guys,
- 5:04Speaker 5: but not just what you want, because I have to
- 5:06Speaker 5: give you credit, but Teddy Conservative and Bubba Ganoush and
- 5:10Speaker 5: all you guys will vote for a person that will
- 5:14Speaker 5: attack or would put his hand up your granddaughter's skirt.
- 5:19Speaker 5: So I'm going to leave it at that, but I
- 5:20Speaker 5: appreciate you always supporting me, but I'm really just upset
- 5:23Speaker 5: today that I'm keeping calm.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Yeah, why are you so upset? Wait a minute. Why
- 5:29Speaker 2: are you so upset? I don't remember anyone calling you
- 5:34Speaker 2: a libtard, did they?
- 5:36Speaker 5: You guys call me that all the time, Ron.
- 5:38Speaker 2: I don't.
- 5:40Speaker 5: I think, actually, personally, I think that Richard Farmacist has
- 5:43Speaker 5: been digging into his prescriptions.
- 5:46Speaker 7: He's gone off the deep end.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Yesterday, he said such horrible things. Listen to what he said.
- 5:52Speaker 5: You guys are saying that the people like me, the Democrats,
- 5:55Speaker 5: take from you guys. Do you know what I do
- 5:58Speaker 5: with some of my money that I get? Do you
- 6:00Speaker 5: know what my wife and I did the other day?
- 6:02Speaker 2: What?
- 6:04Speaker 5: We helped a woman who had a dog and another
- 6:07Speaker 5: woman who had a dog that they couldn't pay for
- 6:08Speaker 5: getting their dog looked at. We spent our own money,
- 6:11Speaker 5: and now nobody's paying us back for that. And then
- 6:14Speaker 5: we get to help somebody else out. Okay, that..
- 6:17Speaker 2: Now, wait a second. Seriously, settle down, Beavis. Let me
- 6:21Speaker 2: ask you, do you remember Beavis and Butthead? I just
- 6:23Speaker 2: did one for you, JJ, the liberal. Settle down, Beavis. Now,
- 6:27Speaker 2: settle down, Beavis. Here we go with this. Now, first
- 6:30Speaker 2: and foremost... I have never sat back and said, J.J.,
- 6:35Speaker 2: the liberal's on a dole, because I know, because you
- 6:38Speaker 2: discussed it with me, and remember our conversation when you
- 6:42Speaker 2: took Social Security early, correct? Am I correct in my memory?
- 6:46Speaker 7: Yes?
- 6:47Speaker 1: I lost a lot of money.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Okay, but just say I'm correct in that.
- 6:51Speaker 6: Yes, sir.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Okay, so I never accuse you of being on a
- 6:54Speaker 2: dole because you've been. Okay, just let me clear things
- 6:58Speaker 2: up here. So you took your Social Security at 62.
- 7:02Speaker 2: That isn't being on the dole. That's what you paid
- 7:04Speaker 2: into when you were working, and you took it at
- 7:07Speaker 2: your retirement age of 62. So I've never accused you
- 7:11Speaker 2: of being on the dole, and I don't think people
- 7:14Speaker 2: have accused you of being on the dole. Now, let
- 7:17Speaker 2: me go to the next thing. I don't know what
- 7:19Speaker 2: the situation is, and I don't want to know. It's
- 7:21Speaker 2: none of my business, because I know your wife's a
- 7:24Speaker 2: very private person, and we should respect her privacy. And obviously,
- 7:30Speaker 2: your son has issues with autism, and that's a whole
- 7:33Speaker 2: different scenario, too. So that's something that is off topic.
- 7:39Speaker 2: It's not something that we really discuss. So anyone, I
- 7:42Speaker 2: believe Rich's comments weren't directed at you specifically. As I
- 7:48Speaker 2: recall his phone call yesterday, I don't think his comments
- 7:51Speaker 2: were about you specifically at all. I think he was
- 7:54Speaker 2: talking about many of the Democrats. I think you take
- 7:59Speaker 2: some things thinking people are talking about you specifically.
- 8:02Speaker 5: I don't have to think of an ego, Ron.
- 8:04Speaker 2: I don't think you're talking about me. But he didn't
- 8:06Speaker 2: mention you by name. It doesn't matter.
- 8:09Speaker 5: You guys are saying Democrats and you know that I'm
- 8:11Speaker 5: a Democrat.
- 8:11Speaker 2: How am I supposed to take that, Ron? Now, a
- 8:13Speaker 2: lot of Democrats... Are are on the dole, not you,
- 8:17Speaker 2: but you are. OK, so that's that was his criticism.
- 8:21Speaker 2: For example, when when Dave Thomas was talking about the
- 8:25Speaker 2: state rep, about how they changed Medicaid. So if you're
- 8:29Speaker 2: 25 years old and good health and of work age.
- 8:32Speaker 2: you could sit on your arse and get Medicaid health
- 8:35Speaker 2: insurance as opposed to go out and get a job.
- 8:38Speaker 8: You're right.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Okay, but see, that's who they're talking about when they
- 8:43Speaker 2: say people sitting around on a dole. They're not talking
- 8:46Speaker 2: about you.
- 8:48Speaker 5: But, Ron, I'm not trying to be short, because I
- 8:51Speaker 5: love you, dude. I really do. I know.
- 8:53Speaker 9: Do you know how many times Nick or Tony have
- 8:58Speaker 9: said that there's people like me that have caused problems
- 9:04Speaker 9: that are going on in this country? And they have
- 9:07Speaker 9: attacked me personally.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Yes, yes.
- 9:09Speaker 6: And you know what? I'm going to try to be
- 9:10Speaker 6: a better host.
- 9:16Speaker 2: To stop these personal attacks. Now, the only thing that
- 9:21Speaker 2: I think is fair game is fair is to say, well,
- 9:26Speaker 2: just like you can come after me because I voted
- 9:28Speaker 2: for Trump three times and you can say, well, you
- 9:31Speaker 2: voted for this. And that's true. Just as people will say, well,
- 9:36Speaker 2: you support Biden and you get all of this stuff
- 9:38Speaker 2: with Biden as well.
- 9:40Speaker 6: I think that's fair discussion.
- 9:44Speaker 2: I agree to go after that. But I don't think
- 9:47Speaker 2: Richard pharmacist attacked you as far as you personally. I
- 9:51Speaker 2: think he was attacking a large portion of the Democrats
- 9:55Speaker 2: that are on the dole and benefiting from all of
- 9:59Speaker 2: these programs. who need a kick in the arse to
- 10:03Speaker 2: make a contribution. I always say this. I always say,
- 10:06Speaker 2: don't make your problems my problems. In other words, we
- 10:10Speaker 2: do believe in personal responsibility. The choices you make, the
- 10:14Speaker 2: decisions you make, those are things that– You have to
- 10:19Speaker 2: pay the price for it.
- 10:20Speaker 5: I agree with you.
- 10:21Speaker 10: All right.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Well, I'm not arguing with you.
- 10:24Speaker 7: The best thing to do is have a job. Stand
- 10:25Speaker 7: on your own two feet.
- 10:27Speaker 11: Right.
- 10:28Speaker 6: Exactly.
- 10:28Speaker 9: Before punishing me because of years ago when I.
- 10:30Speaker 5: Had that attack and that nice gentleman wanted to help me.
- 10:36Speaker 5: And I told you even then at the time that
- 10:38Speaker 5: I don't ask for money.
- 10:39Speaker 7: I don't want money.
- 10:40Speaker 2: But if they did it out of the kindness of
- 10:42Speaker 2: their heart, I told you. I don't even want to
- 10:44Speaker 2: go back to that. If somebody wanted to assist you
- 10:46Speaker 2: at that time, that's a different story. when you were
- 10:49Speaker 2: having those issues.
- 10:50Speaker 5: There has been comments that have made, if you listen
- 10:53Speaker 5: closely enough. You're going to say, well, it's not an
- 10:56Speaker 5: attack upon you, but you read between the lines.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Well, do me a favor. Stop reading between the lines.
- 11:03Speaker 2: It isn't about you. I can assure you.
- 11:06Speaker 5: No, I don't have that big of an ego, Ron.
- 11:08Speaker 5: I'm not that important. But I have to stick up
- 11:12Speaker 5: for the general generalization. If I say this generalization, all
- 11:17Speaker 5: you guys are off the deep end because you voted
- 11:20Speaker 5: for Trump and you this and that and blah, blah, blah.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Well, that's fair game if you think that.
- 11:25Speaker 5: I didn't specifically.
- 11:26Speaker 1: We say that.
- 11:26Speaker 2: No but if you think that that's okay to express
- 11:29Speaker 2: it because i'll sit back and listen and then i
- 11:32Speaker 2: will i can counter that by you vote for biden
- 11:35Speaker 2: that's not anything personal we're just having a political.
- 11:38Speaker 5: Exchange emmanuel said it yesterday didn't he say yesterday how
- 11:41Speaker 5: he appreciates that you allow people like us to be
- 11:44Speaker 5: able to speak I appreciate it. That's the reason why
- 11:47Speaker 5: I always want to.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Talk to you.
- 11:48Speaker 5: You're a part of my life, Ron.
- 11:50Speaker 2: And you're a part of mine. J.J. the liberal. I
- 11:56Speaker 2: just said, where would I be when he's doing those
- 12:00Speaker 2: games and you're not there? I'd be talking to myself.
- 12:03Speaker 2: So I appreciate it.
- 12:04Speaker 5: She's going to call you, my wife, and she's going
- 12:06Speaker 5: to say I got good news.
- 12:08Speaker 12: I got hit by a car.
- 12:10Speaker 2: That isn't good news. All right, get out of here.
- 12:12Speaker 2: I don't want to hear that stuff. All right, have
- 12:14Speaker 2: a great weekend. News Radio 570. You're on the air.
- 12:19Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 12:19Speaker 5: Who were you looking for before this guy?
- 12:23Speaker 2: I'm looking for Ted the Conservative. Hang on, okay? I'll
- 12:25Speaker 2: get back to you. Just hang on, okay? Because I
- 12:29Speaker 2: had him in my rotation here somewhere. I kind of
- 12:31Speaker 2: screwed up my rotation.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Hello?
- 12:33Speaker 6: Ronald.
- 12:34Speaker 2: There you go. All right. Now I'm in back.
- 12:36Speaker 6: Let's set the record straight. I like JJ. JJ, if
- 12:39Speaker 6: you're listening, I like you. I think you're a good guy.
- 12:41Speaker 6: I think you're a good human being. I just think
- 12:44Speaker 6: politically you're lost, and I disagree with everything you said.
- 12:47Speaker 2: And that's okay to disagree with him on politics. That's okay.
- 12:50Speaker 1: I think he's a good guy.
- 12:52Speaker 6: And you said the consistency. The one thing consistent about J.J.,
- 12:55Speaker 6: he will call every day and complain about Donald Trump, Republicans, you, me, Rich.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Well, pause for a second. Here's the thing about J.J.
- 13:03Speaker 2: that people don't understand. J.J. has also been critical of
- 13:09Speaker 2: Joe Biden himself. and agreed with things on Trump. J.J.
- 13:12Speaker 2: and I have had lengthy discussions, as you well know,
- 13:15Speaker 2: said the conservative, where he says, I didn't agree with
- 13:18Speaker 2: Biden on that, and I do, and he agreed with
- 13:20Speaker 2: Trump on this.
- 13:21Speaker 6: Yeah, but he'd still vote for Biden again, though.
- 13:24Speaker 2: That is correct, because he is a Democrat. But I'm
- 13:27Speaker 2: working on him. I think if I live long enough,
- 13:30Speaker 2: if I live to be 120, I think I can
- 13:31Speaker 2: get him to be at least independent.
- 13:37Speaker 7: Good luck with that.
- 13:38Speaker 6: At least we'll have 60 more years.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Don't count on that. Come on.
- 13:46Speaker 6: Here's why I'm calling you. A couple things. You and I,
- 13:49Speaker 6: I was a little perturbed with you, I think, on Tuesday.
- 13:53Speaker 6: Because you were repeating the false narrative, and J.J. ran
- 13:57Speaker 6: with it, that Donald Trump doesn't care about the American
- 14:00Speaker 6: financial situation.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Based on, yes, the quote in the news. that ABC
- 14:05Speaker 2: ran that I was sitting here and said.
- 14:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:08Speaker 6: And you kept repeating it.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Yes.
- 14:10Speaker 7: It annoyed me.
- 14:12Speaker 6: Like when my wife, when you just sit down and
- 14:13Speaker 6: your wife asks you for something, you're like, why didn't
- 14:16Speaker 6: you tell me, ask me before I sat down. But anyways,
- 14:18Speaker 6: I digress.
- 14:19Speaker 2: I know exactly what you're thinking.
- 14:21Speaker 7: Yes.
- 14:22Speaker 6: You know what I'm thinking?
- 14:23Speaker 2: And it annoys me. It annoys me too. It's like, can,
- 14:29Speaker 2: can I just get a moment of a breather?
- 14:31Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 14:31Speaker 6: Yeah, and she'll say, why, were you busy doing something?
- 14:34Speaker 6: And I'll say no, because I'm normally not. It's just I.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Want to do it on my time and my pace.
- 14:42Speaker 4: That's what I told her last night.
- 14:43Speaker 6: She goes, you do stuff for me all the time,
- 14:45Speaker 6: and you never complain. I said, yeah, I do it
- 14:47Speaker 6: when I want to do it and how I want
- 14:49Speaker 6: to do it. When I want to sit down and
- 14:51Speaker 6: be lazy, I don't want to have to get up
- 14:52Speaker 6: as soon as I sit down and be lazy.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Especially with a bum leg, like your knee is healing.
- 14:58Speaker 6: Yeah, and I had a rough day yesterday, boy. You know,
- 15:01Speaker 6: I go there every week, and it seems like every
- 15:03Speaker 6: other week I get someone who wraps my leg, and
- 15:06Speaker 6: they do it so aggressively and tight. By nighttime, the
- 15:10Speaker 6: circulation is cut off to my leg, and we've got
- 15:13Speaker 6: to redo it at all. And yesterday was one of
- 15:15Speaker 6: those days. I was like, oh, my God.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Well, why don't you say something? What are they wrapping
- 15:18Speaker 2: it with, an ace bandage?
- 15:20Speaker 6: No, there's actually, the current wrap I have has four
- 15:24Speaker 6: layers to it.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Hold on, stand by. Back with Ted the Conservative. Let
- 15:29Speaker 2: me see. Wait a second. Back with Ted the Conservative
- 15:31Speaker 2: in a minute. Call us on the line. Stand by.
- 15:32Speaker 2: I think we've got a lot of good calls. Straight ahead.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Stay tuned. News Radio 570 WKBN. I've got a tip.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Wait a second. I've got a tip for you, too,
- 15:42Speaker 2: Ted the Conservative. Then I'm going to hear about your
- 15:43Speaker 2: leg when you're talking about our wives and that kind
- 15:46Speaker 2: of stuff. Okay? Are you ready for this?
- 15:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:49Speaker 2: All right. Now listen. Listen. I'm going to give you
- 15:52Speaker 2: the last. It was Saturday. So Saturday, let's see, Mother's
- 15:59Speaker 2: Day was Sunday, right? So it was Saturday night. So
- 16:02Speaker 2: Saturday night, no matter what doghouse you're in with your wife.
- 16:08Speaker 2: So Saturday night, I went with the ball and chain
- 16:12Speaker 2: over to La Mexicana. Do you know where Five Guys
- 16:18Speaker 2: is and the Guitar Center is and Arby's on Market
- 16:21Speaker 2: and 224, that area?
- 16:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:23Speaker 15: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 16:24Speaker 6: Oh, I've been there before. On the corner?
- 16:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:26Speaker 6: Like in the back?
- 16:27Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Yeah, behind Five Guys back there.
- 16:30Speaker 6: Yeah, my wife and I have been there once.
- 16:31Speaker 2: All right. If you go back, well, you're going to
- 16:34Speaker 2: go back again. Ted, you might thank me for saving
- 16:37Speaker 2: your marriage, okay?
- 16:39Speaker 6: Okay.
- 16:39Speaker 2: You go back. You go there. Listen, Ted, okay, what
- 16:42Speaker 2: do you got? You go back there, and I think
- 16:44Speaker 2: it's like $ 10. You can get a frozen margarita. And
- 16:49Speaker 2: I think we got two frozen mango margaritas that were frozen.
- 16:55Speaker 2: And they're big, Ted. They're like a fishbowl. You follow me?
- 16:59Speaker 2: It isn't chintzy or anything. It's big. And it is
- 17:03Speaker 2: absolutely a slice of heaven. I'm telling you. You've got
- 17:07Speaker 2: to take your ball and chain there. Limp on in there.
- 17:14Speaker 6: Limp on in there?
- 17:15Speaker 2: Yeah, limp on in there.
- 17:16Speaker 6: Were you trying to get her intoxicated?
- 17:20Speaker 2: No, you just enjoy it with your meal. I mean,
- 17:26Speaker 2: if you have a meal. And just sit there after
- 17:28Speaker 2: your meal and... let's let the digestion take place. And,
- 17:33Speaker 2: you know, you don't want to leave. You don't want
- 17:34Speaker 2: to be drunk and drive or none of that kind
- 17:37Speaker 2: of stuff, which I doubt you could be, but I
- 17:39Speaker 2: think you would like it.
- 17:40Speaker 6: A little tip about Ted, the conservative. I don't drink alcohol,
- 17:43Speaker 6: but my wife consumes it. So maybe I'll take her there.
- 17:46Speaker 16: Really?
- 17:47Speaker 2: Okay. Maybe it's not good for the body. I, well,
- 17:52Speaker 2: in that case, it was, it was pretty good.
- 17:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Here I am trying to— advice to the love lord. It
- 18:02Speaker 2: would make your leg probably feel bigger and that kind
- 18:05Speaker 2: of stuff.
- 18:07Speaker 6: Maybe you could have a new segment. Call it Ron
- 18:09Speaker 6: the Love Lord.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Advice to the love lord. And I might add, just
- 18:14Speaker 2: since you don't do the large margarita, excellent refried beans.
- 18:18Speaker 2: And I think we all know what the outcome of
- 18:20Speaker 2: that will be, Ted.
- 18:21Speaker 6: Yeah, I bet you really enjoyed that. Don't lift up
- 18:29Speaker 6: the bed sheet, Tom.
- 18:30Speaker 2: There was a little other surprise. What is that smell, Mike? Well,
- 18:37Speaker 2: thanks for pointing it out.
- 18:38Speaker 6: Tom, it must have been the margarita you drank too much.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Yeah, but I mean, it's really a tasty drink. Concoction
- 18:47Speaker 2: is what I'm trying to say. You've got to get
- 18:48Speaker 2: a frozen note, Ted, if you think about it. I'm
- 18:53Speaker 2: trying to mend whatever, you know, when you get under
- 18:57Speaker 2: his skin. Okay, stand by. I'm coming back with Ted
- 18:59Speaker 2: after the headlines. I wanted to just lay that on
- 19:02Speaker 2: him right off the bat. Let Ted the conservative. I've
- 19:05Speaker 2: always got him right here. Ted and JJ, back after
- 19:07Speaker 2: a minute. News Radio 570 WKVN. All right, back to it.
- 19:13Speaker 2: There you go. All right, Ted, the conservative. So you
- 19:15Speaker 2: were saying, I was giving that quote out the other day.
- 19:18Speaker 2: I remember doing so. Guilty as charged. Go ahead.
- 19:21Speaker 6: Yeah, you were repeating what you heard because obviously you
- 19:24Speaker 6: didn't hear the whole story. And I called in and
- 19:27Speaker 6: told you, well, that's wrong. That's not what Trump said.
- 19:30Speaker 6: It's being taken out of context. I'm not sure if
- 19:34Speaker 6: you listened to the whole speech or not, but I
- 19:36Speaker 6: noticed it was Wednesday when G2 called in. He agreed
- 19:40Speaker 6: with what I told you. Trump gave the right answer.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Yes.
- 19:43Speaker 6: And then I think I sent.
- 19:44Speaker 7: You an article.
- 19:44Speaker 6: The great senator from the state of Pennsylvania, Mr. John Fetta,
- 19:50Speaker 6: who we would have never met a few years ago,
- 19:52Speaker 6: he made a public announcement that the media was twisting
- 19:56Speaker 6: Trump's words to make it look bad. And he did
- 19:59Speaker 6: not say that the concerns of the American citizens are
- 20:03Speaker 6: not a concern of his. What he said was he
- 20:06Speaker 6: would not negotiate negotiations with Iran based on any other
- 20:11Speaker 6: thing than the objectives of the mission. In other words,
- 20:14Speaker 6: if his house is on fire, he's not going to
- 20:16Speaker 6: stop talking to Iran and say, okay, do whatever you want,
- 20:20Speaker 6: I'm going to go put this fire out.
- 20:22Speaker 2: In other words, I remember that day because you said,
- 20:25Speaker 2: and right, I'm sitting, I'm listening to a snippet that
- 20:27Speaker 2: they ran on ABC. I did not hear the whole thing.
- 20:30Speaker 2: And you said they need to play the whole thing.
- 20:32Speaker 2: They took it out of context because Trump was saying,
- 20:35Speaker 2: in essence, listen, I'm solely focused on they cannot have
- 20:38Speaker 2: a nuclear weapon. I'm not concerned about the price of
- 20:41Speaker 2: a gallon of gas or inflation. Right.
- 20:44Speaker 6: When it comes to the Iran negotiations.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Exactly. But they took the part out of when it
- 20:50Speaker 2: comes to the Iran negotiations. They took that part out.
- 20:54Speaker 2: So I said, geez, he better be concerned. And even
- 21:00Speaker 2: however you want to say it, I go back to say,
- 21:03Speaker 2: outside of you don't have to tell this to Iran,
- 21:06Speaker 2: but you better be damn concerned about the inflation and
- 21:08Speaker 2: the price of a gallon of gas because it matters.
- 21:11Speaker 2: It hurts a lot of people.
- 21:13Speaker 6: I think our president is capable of multitasking. You know,
- 21:17Speaker 6: unlike Joe Biden, he doesn't eat four-hour naps in the afternoon.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Right.
- 21:21Speaker 6: The guy works from morning till night. You and I
- 21:24Speaker 6: are in bed sleeping. He's still awake.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Right.
- 21:27Speaker 6: He's just wired differently. People like J.J. that just hate
- 21:30Speaker 6: the guy. And I'm not saying J.J.
- 21:32Speaker 5: Hates him.
- 21:33Speaker 7: J.J.
- 21:33Speaker 6: Has told you and I that he hates him. And
- 21:36Speaker 6: it's on record.
- 21:37Speaker 5: Right.
- 21:38Speaker 6: But I mean... People like J.J. hear that, and it's just..
- 21:45Speaker 2: He heard the same thing I did, though. So J.J.
- 21:48Speaker 2: 's fair enough that if he heard the whole context,
- 21:50Speaker 2: he would take it differently. I give him credit.
- 21:52Speaker 6: I've gotten to the point, Ron, where I can't listen
- 21:58Speaker 6: to any media.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Because of the distortion?
- 22:01Speaker 6: The only show I watch in the evening hours is
- 22:03Speaker 6: Duckfield at 10 o'clock.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Yeah, it's funny.
- 22:06Speaker 6: For years, I didn't like the guys. I just didn't think,
- 22:11Speaker 6: I didn't like the format, but now I love it.
- 22:13Speaker 6: It's a joint program. I won't even listen to Fox News.
- 22:15Speaker 6: I'm not a fan of Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, or
- 22:18Speaker 6: Jesse Waters. I think they're just, I just don't like them.
- 22:22Speaker 6: I don't even, I told you I used to listen
- 22:24Speaker 6: to liberal news to get information, see where the enemy's at.
- 22:27Speaker 6: I don't even do that because I can't stand it.
- 22:29Speaker 6: It doesn't matter. Every day is a different issue. Whatever
- 22:33Speaker 6: Trump's for, they're against, and they will lie and misrepresent
- 22:36Speaker 6: the truth. So it's up to you to know the
- 22:38Speaker 6: truth and define the truth and do a little bit
- 22:40Speaker 6: of work. And, you know, I was thinking about this
- 22:44Speaker 6: status analogy. You're familiar with the sport of boxing, and
- 22:48Speaker 6: boxing has weight class. And, you know, you get those
- 22:51Speaker 6: little guys, and when I say little, I'm referring to
- 22:54Speaker 6: maybe a guy like a Ray Boom Boom Mancini, you know,
- 22:57Speaker 6: 100 and whatever pounds he weighed. They can throw... 100,
- 23:02Speaker 6: 150 punches a round because they're so light and they're
- 23:07Speaker 6: so fast. That's kind of what Trump does. He hits
- 23:10Speaker 6: the Democrats with so many punches every day, so many
- 23:14Speaker 6: different issues, so many topics. I don't know how to respond.
- 23:17Speaker 6: If you think about what was the major issue in
- 23:19Speaker 6: the news three months ago, it's buried. It's buried. Every
- 23:23Speaker 6: day it's like they're drowning and they're grasping for an
- 23:28Speaker 6: inner tube, and they'll scream and yell at whatever he says, supposedly.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Well, it doesn't matter. Like tariffs was a big issue
- 23:34Speaker 2: if you go back.
- 23:35Speaker 8: Yeah, it was tariffs.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Then it was immigration. And they're even bitching about what
- 23:41Speaker 2: he's doing to clean up those pools that are out
- 23:45Speaker 2: there at the Capitol.
- 23:52Speaker 6: Yeah, like, why shouldn't that look good? Why shouldn't we
- 23:54Speaker 6: fix it?
- 23:55Speaker 2: I mean, they're even bitching about that. Does he have
- 23:58Speaker 2: the ability? I mean, my wife said when she saw him,
- 24:01Speaker 2: they were disgusting. And so he's cleaning them up, and
- 24:05Speaker 2: they're just bitching that he's trying to make something look better.
- 24:08Speaker 2: There isn't anything he can do for a lot of
- 24:10Speaker 2: these people that they won't complain about. My biggest concern is,
- 24:14Speaker 2: now that you mentioned it, is I think he's gotten
- 24:17Speaker 2: somewhat distracted from doing this. getting people out of the
- 24:24Speaker 2: country as far as immigration is concerned. I don't see
- 24:27Speaker 2: it as aggressive as it has been. I mean, I'm not..
- 24:30Speaker 6: Well, I think it's still happening. The only reason you're
- 24:33Speaker 6: not seeing it is because the media has decided to
- 24:35Speaker 6: fight other battles. The mirror lakes. the mirror pond, whatever
- 24:39Speaker 6: you want to call it. They've not scaled anything down.
- 24:43Speaker 6: You're just not seeing it because the liberal media has decided, well,
- 24:47Speaker 6: we've gotten all we can get out of that one.
- 24:49Speaker 6: We're not changing it, so let's go on to this.
- 24:51Speaker 2: So do you think ISIS is as aggressive as they
- 24:54Speaker 2: had been on getting people out of the country?
- 24:57Speaker 6: Yep, I have no doubt.
- 24:59Speaker 2: I hope that's the case because in the back of
- 25:02Speaker 2: my mind, I'm thinking, did he kind of cave to
- 25:04Speaker 2: the far left with all their protests and all this
- 25:07Speaker 2: kind of stuff? No.
- 25:09Speaker 6: Donald Trump, if you haven't learned by now, he's not
- 25:11Speaker 6: the kind of person that caves to anyone. If you
- 25:13Speaker 6: punch him back, he punches twice as hard.
- 25:15Speaker 2: I got you.
- 25:16Speaker 6: And I think he gets pleasure out of it, to
- 25:17Speaker 6: be honest with you. I think it's entertaining for him,
- 25:20Speaker 6: fighting with these goofballs. Because these are all common-sense issues.
- 25:25Speaker 6: There's nothing he's doing that's really against the grain, that's
- 25:29Speaker 6: so controversial. Most people, when you poll them and ask
- 25:33Speaker 6: them a straight question, they agree with it. But the
- 25:36Speaker 6: Democrats will die on anything that he supports. That's like
- 25:39Speaker 6: the China issue.
- 25:41Speaker 7: Oh, my gosh.
- 25:42Speaker 6: You know, I hate to mention names, but I heard
- 25:45Speaker 6: a guy we were just talking about yesterday call in
- 25:48Speaker 6: worried about, oh, my gosh, China, China, China. They're going
- 25:51Speaker 6: to do this. They're going to do that. They're taking
- 25:53Speaker 6: advantage of Trump. Oh, he's repeating what he hears. Then
- 25:56Speaker 6: you got another caller who claims to be a financial investor,
- 26:00Speaker 6: and he's talking about how great China is. So let's
- 26:03Speaker 6: set the record straight.
- 26:04Speaker 17: China.
- 26:04Speaker 6: What is China? You know, 40, 50 years ago, they
- 26:08Speaker 6: were a big economic threat to the United States. Obviously,
- 26:12Speaker 6: they're a geopolitical foe, but they're not what they used
- 26:16Speaker 6: to be. They have strategic interests and goals and ideologies
- 26:19Speaker 6: that fundamentally oppose us.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Although, now before you go too far, I was actually reading,
- 26:24Speaker 2: and it was eerie because... I was reading, and I
- 26:27Speaker 2: wish I could tell you which site it was, about
- 26:30Speaker 2: China's economy is doing pretty good.
- 26:33Speaker 5: It's horrible.
- 26:34Speaker 2: I'm reading that it's doing good.
- 26:36Speaker 6: Their economic picture is bad. Their economy is export-driven, and
- 26:41Speaker 6: we've seen what's happened to that with tariffs. We've seen
- 26:44Speaker 6: what's happened when the Strait of America has been closed.
- 26:47Speaker 6: They can't move container ships. They can't get products out.
- 26:52Speaker 6: They can't get oil. Trump has cut off almost 60%
- 26:55Speaker 6: of their oil. 55% comes out of the Middle East,
- 26:59Speaker 6: another 5% come out of Venezuela. They've lost all that.
- 27:02Speaker 6: All of that's gone. Their total debt, I heard this yesterday,
- 27:07Speaker 6: their total debt to GDP is approaching 340%. Now, to
- 27:14Speaker 6: put that in comparison to us, people think our economy's bad, right?
- 27:17Speaker 6: They think inflation's bad here. Well, our debt to GDP
- 27:22Speaker 6: is about 255%. To put that in perspective, if we
- 27:26Speaker 6: think things are bad here, they're almost twice as bad there.
- 27:32Speaker 6: But you hear people talk about how strong the China
- 27:35Speaker 6: economy is. It's not. Their economy is export-driven. They... I mean,
- 27:41Speaker 6: we know about all the social issues in China, what
- 27:43Speaker 6: they do to their own people. There's a thousand social
- 27:47Speaker 6: issues I won't even talk about, but let's talk about that. Export-driven,
- 27:50Speaker 6: they're not getting oil, they're not getting container ships. Their
- 27:53Speaker 6: economy is on life support. Now, Taiwan, they were ready
- 27:59Speaker 6: to take over Taiwan.
- 28:00Speaker 5: Why?
- 28:00Speaker 6: Because they want control of all the technology and the
- 28:05Speaker 6: innovation there. try to bring in more money for themselves. Well,
- 28:08Speaker 6: as soon as Trump became president, they knew that that
- 28:10Speaker 6: ship wasn't going to fly. That bird wasn't going to fly,
- 28:14Speaker 6: however you want to say it. And they know that
- 28:16Speaker 6: as long as Trump's in office, they're not doing anything
- 28:18Speaker 6: about that. Because they fear Trump. They know, they've seen
- 28:22Speaker 6: what he will do, and there's nothing he won't do
- 28:26Speaker 6: to protect the interests of the United States. We've seen
- 28:29Speaker 6: that all over the world since he's been in office.
- 28:32Speaker 7: I think if..
- 28:36Speaker 6: You know, everyone that opposes everything that's going on, they
- 28:38Speaker 6: think it's so bad. They think Trump's caving the child.
- 28:41Speaker 6: What's the case? I haven't heard anything. If anything, I've
- 28:44Speaker 6: heard opportunities to open some markets up for technology people
- 28:49Speaker 6: that travel there. I heard some support that they want
- 28:52Speaker 6: this war with Iran to end. They need the Strait
- 28:55Speaker 6: of America to open, right? I've not heard anything negative.
- 28:59Speaker 6: I've not heard anything where Trump has come out of
- 29:01Speaker 6: there with his head down, his knuckles dragging and looking
- 29:04Speaker 6: beat up.
- 29:04Speaker 2: I just only hope that we was over there to
- 29:06Speaker 2: negotiate some type of economic stimulus for purchasing Hunter Biden's
- 29:12Speaker 2: paintings and giving Hunter Biden's investment firm another billion dollars.
- 29:16Speaker 6: He's using the leverage he has, which is he has
- 29:21Speaker 6: slowed their... Container ships are moving. He has shut down
- 29:24Speaker 6: the Strait of America.
- 29:26Speaker 2: So you like his strategery?
- 29:29Speaker 6: His strategery is beyond the comprehension of most Americans. So
- 29:37Speaker 6: the guy puts America first. This war with Iran, you know,
- 29:41Speaker 6: I can only summarize it this simple. People, prior to 9-11,
- 29:48Speaker 6: there were many triggers and many warnings that people ignored.
- 29:52Speaker 6: And then when 9-11 happened, they looked back and said,
- 29:54Speaker 6: oh my gosh, how did we allow this to happen?
- 29:57Speaker 1: So Trump is.
- 29:58Speaker 6: Vowing to never let another 9-11 happen. If people think, oh,
- 30:02Speaker 6: Iran's no threat, they're not going to do that. Who's
- 30:04Speaker 6: to say the next time they pull off one of
- 30:06Speaker 6: these stunts, it's not a nuclear bomb in New York
- 30:09Speaker 6: City instead of a plane hitting a high-rise? You can't
- 30:13Speaker 6: just assume the world's a good place because it's not.
- 30:16Speaker 6: There's been war since the day man walked on the earth.
- 30:19Speaker 6: There's been battle.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Don't worry, though. You don't need that... The governor and
- 30:26Speaker 2: the mayor of New York City are unleashing economic bombs
- 30:30Speaker 2: to destroy New York City with all these taxation proposals.
- 30:34Speaker 2: All right.
- 30:35Speaker 6: Going back to something else too, Denny, JJ said, it's
- 30:38Speaker 6: not that you and I think Republicans are superior in
- 30:43Speaker 6: every issue or every..
- 30:45Speaker 2: We just agree with them. They make sense to me.
- 30:47Speaker 6: They make sense to us, and we fear a Democrat
- 30:50Speaker 6: being in office for just the reason you mentioned. Look
- 30:53Speaker 6: what they're doing.
- 30:53Speaker 1: In New York City.
- 30:54Speaker 18: Right.
- 30:54Speaker 2: There you have it.
- 30:55Speaker 6: They're chasing all the money out of the city. Well,
- 30:57Speaker 6: then what are they going to do?
- 30:59Speaker 2: There he is.
- 31:00Speaker 6: Focaccia Friday.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Okay, there he is with his seeping wound on his leg.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Ted the Conservative. NewsRadio 570. Don't you give me any
- 31:10Speaker 2: on here.
- 31:12Speaker 16: Hey, Ron.
- 31:13Speaker 19: Remember when John Arnold said don't listen to non-professionals like
- 31:19Speaker 19: Ted the Non-Conservative? He's an economic and investment functional literate.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Well, I'm not going to allow people to attack callers individually.
- 31:29Speaker 2: If you have something to contribute in that sense, we
- 31:32Speaker 2: contribute it.
- 31:33Speaker 19: Well, it's a fact. Here's what I'll contribute. He said
- 31:38Speaker 19: China's debt-to-GDP ratio exceeded 300%. Well, last year, China's debt-to-GDP
- 31:45Speaker 19: ratio exceeded 300% temporarily when considering total debt, including household
- 31:56Speaker 19: and corporate debt. Our GDP ratio is only government debt,
- 32:05Speaker 19: not everybody's debt. It's just that the GDP ratio this
- 32:10Speaker 19: year is projected to reach 90% by the end of 2026.
- 32:14Speaker 19: That's total debt. China's economy, unlike what Ted, the neoconservative,
- 32:24Speaker 19: is telling you, is doing just fine. And I don't
- 32:28Speaker 19: know what in the heck he was talking about. Containerships?
- 32:32Speaker 19: China far exceeds us in containerships. In fact, so bad
- 32:38Speaker 19: that Trump even was talking a while back about investing
- 32:42Speaker 19: taxpayer and government money into building more containerships. because we're
- 32:48Speaker 19: just so far behind China. So many countries and businesses
- 32:54Speaker 19: use Chinese lease and pay China to ship their goods
- 32:59Speaker 19: and services. So I'm afraid, Ted, the neoconservative, you don't
- 33:05Speaker 19: have a clue what you're talking about. And he said
- 33:08Speaker 19: that financial planner guy he was referring to me doesn't
- 33:14Speaker 19: know what I'm talking about. But you let him slide
- 33:18Speaker 19: with that. Ron, let me tell you something about China.
- 33:24Speaker 19: I'll say again, my China stocks are doing great. G2
- 33:29Speaker 19: said China's market was down 7%.
- 33:33Speaker 8: On May the 5th.
- 33:35Speaker 19: The HK50, Hong Kong's 50 largest stocks, was up 14.81%.
- 33:46Speaker 19: The CSI 300, Shanghai's 300th largest stock by market capitalization,
- 33:53Speaker 19: was up an incredible 26.2%. At that rate, the Shanghai
- 34:01Speaker 19: stock market would be up almost 80% by the end
- 34:05Speaker 19: of the year. In other words, if you invested $ 100, 000
- 34:08Speaker 19: on January the 1st, it would be worth almost $ 180, 000
- 34:15Speaker 19: at the end of the year at that rate, an
- 34:19Speaker 19: $ 80, 000 profit. So, Ted, you need to do your homework, buddy.
- 34:25Speaker 19: I analyzed China. I just got finished analyzing 542 Chinese
- 34:31Speaker 19: stocks about three months ago. But according to Ted, the neoconservative,
- 34:36Speaker 19: I don't know nothing about investing or China. But I'll
- 34:41Speaker 19: tell you this. Ron, I predict China will become increasingly isolationist,
- 34:47Speaker 19: the same as the founding fathers advised our government leaders.
- 34:53Speaker 19: China will trade with the rest of the world and
- 34:56Speaker 19: avoid expensive foreign entanglements. And, Ron, Trump's tech war against
- 35:02Speaker 19: China was a total failure. His trade war resulted in
- 35:06Speaker 19: China diversifying their exports in achieving a record-breaking trade surplus. Ron,
- 35:13Speaker 19: you want a country that is booming in exports. Our
- 35:18Speaker 19: country should be booming in exports. We don't want to
- 35:22Speaker 19: have to import everything from the rest of the world
- 35:29Speaker 19: and be dependent on so many countries. But, Ron, we
- 35:33Speaker 19: live in a world where... Free trade with all countries
- 35:39Speaker 19: will benefit everybody. You want a global economy. What happened
- 35:46Speaker 19: in the Great Depression?
- 35:47Speaker 2: Stand by, stand by. Fort Lauderdale, Frank. On News Radio
- 35:51Speaker 2: 570 WKBN, call us in line. Stand by. Back with
- 35:54Speaker 2: more right after this.
- 35:55Speaker 20: The Year.
- 35:55Speaker 2: 570 WKBN. All right, are you done talking about China, comrade?
- 36:01Speaker 19: Yes, sir, comrade.
- 36:04Speaker 2: Is there anything else you want to contribute besides telling
- 36:08Speaker 2: me how great China's economy is?
- 36:10Speaker 19: Well, you know, we're a nation of consumers and spenders.
- 36:14Speaker 19: China's a nation of savers and investors. And I want
- 36:20Speaker 19: to say something about Ted's big, beautiful wars in the
- 36:24Speaker 19: Middle East.
- 36:25Speaker 8: Yes.
- 36:26Speaker 19: It's a destruction of a large portion of the earth's
- 36:29Speaker 19: Energy infrastructure, we've destroyed 30% of the world's helium supply,
- 36:36Speaker 19: an estimated 30% to 50% of the world's fertilizer, half
- 36:40Speaker 19: the world's sulfuric acid that we use for industry.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Let me cut to quick questions. Do you think the
- 36:45Speaker 2: war in Iran was a mistake.
- 36:47Speaker 8: In your opinion?
- 36:49Speaker 2: Yes or no?
- 36:50Speaker 19: Yeah, I do.
- 36:51Speaker 8: All right.
- 36:51Speaker 2: Do you think that Trump's going to have a hard
- 36:54Speaker 2: time getting out of it?
- 36:56Speaker 19: I think that's one of the reasons he went to China,
- 36:58Speaker 19: don't you?
- 36:59Speaker 2: I'm asking you. So you think it was a mistake
- 37:03Speaker 2: from the very beginning. He's having a hard time getting
- 37:05Speaker 2: out of it. Do you think that it's going to
- 37:07Speaker 2: cause more economic harm to our economy than we're seeing currently?
- 37:13Speaker 19: Yes, sir. The war is costing us $ 1 billion a day.
- 37:18Speaker 2: Do you think it will create more inflation?
- 37:22Speaker 19: Well, the headline financial news today was a war show.
- 37:27Speaker 19: They have no choice but to raise interest rates.
- 37:31Speaker 2: I'd hate to see that. All right, it's Fort Lauderdale, Frank.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Enjoy the weekend with those young women that are with you.
- 37:37Speaker 2: We'll be back.
- 37:43Speaker 10: From ABC News.
- 37:45Speaker 2: I'm Mike Daboski.
- 37:46Speaker 10: President Trump now wants the Internal Revenue Service to create
- 37:49Speaker 10: a $ 1. 7 billion fund aimed at paying out alleged victims
- 37:54Speaker 10: of government weaponization. The fund, which would be made up
- 37:57Speaker 10: of taxpayer dollars, is already generating pushback among Democrats, like
- 38:01Speaker 10: California Representative Pete Aguilar.
- 38:03Speaker 8: This is ridiculous, but.
- 38:04Speaker 2: This is exactly who he is.
- 38:06Speaker 21: Some way, somehow, he'll find a way to try to
- 38:08Speaker 21: pay himself, in addition to some of the $ 1, 500 million.
- 38:13Speaker 21: insurrectionists who he pardoned for trying to take over the
- 38:16Speaker 21: Capitol here.
- 38:16Speaker 10: The fund, which hasn't been created yet, comes after President
- 38:19Speaker 10: Trump agreed to drop his lawsuit against the IRS for
- 38:22Speaker 10: allegedly leaking his tax returns. The president himself is on
- 38:26Speaker 10: his way back to Washington right now following a summit
- 38:28Speaker 10: in China. Presidents Trump and Xi, while there, agreed on
- 38:32Speaker 10: a new vision of constructive strategic stability. Former Biden-era U.S.
- 38:37Speaker 10: ambassador to China, Nicholas Burns, tells ABC News there's reason
- 38:40Speaker 10: for skepticism.
- 38:41Speaker 22: If we do anything, we the United States that displeases China,
- 38:44Speaker 22: they'll say you're violating our strategic pact on stability. So
- 38:48Speaker 22: you can't sell those arms to Taiwan. You can't criticize
- 38:51Speaker 22: us that Jimmy Lai is in prison unjustly. in Hong Kong, etc.
- 38:56Speaker 10: The Centers for Disease Control now updating reporters about the
- 38:59Speaker 10: Hanta virus, saying no Americans are currently infected with the
- 39:03Speaker 10: Andes strain of the virus. At least 41 Americans in
- 39:06Speaker 10: 12 states are being monitored, though. And in France, a
- 39:09Speaker 10: woman is in the hospital in critical condition with the virus.
- 39:12Speaker 10: ABC News medical contributor Dr. Alok Patel.
- 39:14Speaker 23: We really are praying and rooting for this woman. But
- 39:17Speaker 23: Andes virus, Hanta virus, there is no known cure or
- 39:21Speaker 23: known preventive measure, but really what it is, it comes
- 39:25Speaker 23: down to supportive care. That's keeping the body and the
- 39:27Speaker 23: organs alive while the immune system does its best to
- 39:30Speaker 23: fight off the virus.
- 39:30Speaker 10: The CDC also says it's closely monitoring an outbreak of Ebola,
- 39:34Speaker 10: which started in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. You're
- 39:37Speaker 10: listening to ABC News.
- 39:43Speaker 2: All right, 4.06 in the afternoon, NewsRadio 570, Dodie KVN,
- 39:46Speaker 2: and we're on verb 67 degrees, and you're on the air, hello.
- 39:50Speaker 4: Well, I got to play down at, we had an
- 39:54Speaker 4: Elvis guy there a couple hours today, and I'm putting my,
- 39:58Speaker 4: I think.
- 39:59Speaker 6: They're going to bring it home tonight.
- 40:01Speaker 1: I have a feeling, the Cavaliers.
- 40:03Speaker 4: You have a feeling?
- 40:05Speaker 2: I have a feeling.
- 40:06Speaker 4: I mean, I've got hopes that they can do it.
- 40:09Speaker 4: If they don't win tonight, I think they'll win on Sunday.
- 40:14Speaker 4: But I think they can do it tonight.
- 40:16Speaker 7: They're playing at home.
- 40:17Speaker 4: Then they go far in the tournament. That's my prediction.
- 40:21Speaker 16: I don't know.
- 40:23Speaker 2: So Dick from Dayton is going with the Cavs.
- 40:28Speaker 3: Yep.
- 40:28Speaker 8: All right.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Thank you. Our official sports prognosticator.
- 40:33Speaker 8: You're on the air.
- 40:37Speaker 24: What do you think, Ron, when you hear the report
- 40:43Speaker 24: polls say 40% of young people think communism is okay, 62%
- 40:52Speaker 24: of Democrats think socialism is okay? What do you think
- 40:57Speaker 24: when you hear those figures like that?
- 40:59Speaker 2: If they're accurate, I find it to be deeply troubling
- 41:03Speaker 2: that anybody would think that. It hasn't worked. It will
- 41:06Speaker 2: not work. I find it deeply troubling because I think
- 41:09Speaker 2: we're becoming a nation of wusses. Listen, I think people
- 41:12Speaker 2: are getting further and further away from what a great
- 41:14Speaker 2: country this is, and that means you have personal freedom
- 41:18Speaker 2: and personal responsibility. And I think there's many people that
- 41:21Speaker 2: just want to sit on their arse, do nothing, and
- 41:24Speaker 2: think they're owed a paycheck or think they're owed a
- 41:26Speaker 2: particular lifestyle without putting any effort or work to achieve it.
- 41:31Speaker 2: And it doesn't work. It doesn't work elsewhere. It isn't
- 41:35Speaker 2: going to work here. And I get sick and tired of.
- 41:40Speaker 7: It.
- 41:40Speaker 2: Capitalism is what has changed so many of people's lives
- 41:45Speaker 2: in this great country of ours.
- 41:46Speaker 24: For the better?
- 41:49Speaker 16: Yes.
- 41:51Speaker 1: And then, I.
- 41:54Speaker 24: Guess people don't want to debate or have a disagreement,
- 41:58Speaker 24: but if you have somebody saying, well, the only reason
- 42:02Speaker 24: Emmanuel gets beat up is because he's a person of color. Well,
- 42:06Speaker 24: thanks for bringing Marxism into the argument. And there's the
- 42:11Speaker 24: oppressors and the oppressed, right? That's what they, the communists,
- 42:17Speaker 24: wanted to do. 75 years ago to take down America
- 42:22Speaker 24: and its capitalism is have this fight about race. And
- 42:26Speaker 24: the other thing. Is the transgenders after the gay marriage? Look,
- 42:36Speaker 24: we're so far beyond caring that you're gay. Nobody cares.
- 42:41Speaker 24: Nobody cares that so long ago. Why are you even
- 42:45Speaker 24: bringing it up? Oh, because you people want to molest children.
- 42:50Speaker 24: That's why. And we break down the family. Black Lives
- 42:55Speaker 24: Matter says we're trained Marxist and we're going to deconstruct
- 43:00Speaker 24: the nuclear family. So two of your previous callers, one
- 43:07Speaker 24: is saying.
- 43:07Speaker 7: Everything's about race.
- 43:09Speaker 24: It's not. Nobody cares. We disagree with what Emanuel's bringing
- 43:15Speaker 24: to the table politically. Nobody cares what color he is
- 43:19Speaker 24: except you people. And then the other guy, China's great.
- 43:23Speaker 24: China's wonderful. I don't care that there's forced organ harvesting.
- 43:28Speaker 24: I don't care about the Uyghurs. I don't care about
- 43:30Speaker 24: Tiananmen Square. It's like Pampon Pim's grandfather's talking to us.
- 43:37Speaker 24: Free trade. Free trade. It's not free, dummy. That's what
- 43:40Speaker 24: the establishment, that's what Mitt Romney, that's what Mitch McConnell. Oh,
- 43:45Speaker 24: did I just mention two Republicans?
- 43:47Speaker 1: Oh, George Bush.
- 43:49Speaker 7: Oh, all of them?
- 43:50Speaker 24: Yeah, the establishment, Democrat or Republican, ruined America. Ruined America
- 43:57Speaker 24: with their so-called free trade, which never was. Trump's the
- 44:01Speaker 24: only one who's been talking about it forever.
- 44:04Speaker 17: Forever.
- 44:05Speaker 24: Because he saw what was happening to America. And other
- 44:10Speaker 24: people don't care and just go free trade. But I
- 44:14Speaker 24: think Ron agreed with Pat Buchanan. I think Ron agreed
- 44:18Speaker 24: with H. Ross Perot. Because we watched it happen. Everything
- 44:23Speaker 24: they said happened. We don't want it to happen anymore. People,
- 44:30Speaker 24: what did your grandpa say? Oh, China's a country of savers.
- 44:38Speaker 24: They don't save anything.
- 44:40Speaker 1: It's slave labor. What are you talking about?
- 44:43Speaker 24: They're a country of savers.
- 44:44Speaker 5: They don't have any money.
- 44:46Speaker 24: They don't get any money. They're jumping off of buildings.
- 44:51Speaker 24: If they're not in a concentration camp or getting mowed
- 44:54Speaker 24: down in Tiananmen Square. And then we wonder why people
- 45:01Speaker 24: think communism, socialism is OK.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Well, I don't listen. I like I say, I don't
- 45:08Speaker 2: understand the. support for it, whether that's in New York City,
- 45:13Speaker 2: because really, I mean, Bernie Sanders pushes that socialistic, communistic agenda,
- 45:19Speaker 2: and you have a lot of people that follow it.
- 45:21Speaker 2: You have people with Mondami in New York City, and
- 45:27Speaker 2: you have people pushing this, thinking the answer is we
- 45:31Speaker 2: shouldn't have personal responsibility. We shouldn't have capitalism. I mean,
- 45:36Speaker 2: when do we push the reality? You're born in a country.
- 45:39Speaker 2: We have our problems, granted, but you're born in a
- 45:41Speaker 2: country where you have freedom. You can get in your
- 45:44Speaker 2: car and you can leave Ohio and drive to Florida
- 45:46Speaker 2: tonight and no one's going to stop you. You can
- 45:50Speaker 2: get in your car and you can drive to Pennsylvania
- 45:52Speaker 2: if you're in Ohio or whatever. You have the freedom
- 45:55Speaker 2: to travel in this country. You have the ability to
- 45:58Speaker 2: do what you want with your life. As I said,
- 46:02Speaker 2: if you want to go to college and you have
- 46:04Speaker 2: good grades, you can get a scholarship. If you're good
- 46:06Speaker 2: at sports, you can get a scholarship and go for free.
- 46:09Speaker 2: You can join the ROTC and you can get money
- 46:13Speaker 2: and go for free. There's so many options for people
- 46:16Speaker 2: if you're seeking a college education to get a degree in.
- 46:19Speaker 2: in a field that'll make you a decent living, whether
- 46:22Speaker 2: you want to become a nurse or a nurse practitioner,
- 46:25Speaker 2: a nurse anesthetist, where you can make substantial money, you
- 46:30Speaker 2: want to become a doctor, you want to go, you
- 46:33Speaker 2: want to forget all of that, you want to go
- 46:34Speaker 2: to the trades, and you'll make a good living here
- 46:38Speaker 2: in this country. There's so many opportunities For people today,
- 46:42Speaker 2: even in these difficult times, there's so many opportunities for
- 46:46Speaker 2: people to go and improve their lives. All it takes
- 46:50Speaker 2: is some effort. That's all it's ever taken. It's easier
- 46:54Speaker 2: today than it's ever been. I hear everybody talking about
- 46:57Speaker 2: AI and all this kind of stuff. Listen, as I
- 47:00Speaker 2: go back to say, when I was a young man,
- 47:01Speaker 2: it would be difficult to get into the trades. You
- 47:03Speaker 2: had to know somebody. Today, they're begging for people to
- 47:06Speaker 2: get into the trades. Today, they're begging for police officers.
- 47:09Speaker 2: It used to be difficult to become a police officer,
- 47:12Speaker 2: and hundreds would show up to take the test for
- 47:15Speaker 2: one opening. So younger people today have great opportunities in
- 47:20Speaker 2: many fields that when I was a young man— You
- 47:23Speaker 2: had a hard time getting into the post office or
- 47:25Speaker 2: the police department or the trades or getting in General Motors. Yeah,
- 47:30Speaker 2: getting in General Motors if you didn't know somebody. But today,
- 47:33Speaker 2: that's all different. You can get into all of these
- 47:36Speaker 2: places relatively easily where you can make a decent living
- 47:40Speaker 2: if you have a work ethic, if you put the
- 47:44Speaker 2: effort forth. If you have a work ethic, if you
- 47:47Speaker 2: can stay off of drugs, if you have the ability
- 47:50Speaker 2: to learn a trade or a skill and put some
- 47:53Speaker 2: effort in. That's what capitalism has done for so many people.
- 47:57Speaker 2: And from that, you can own a beautiful home. You
- 48:01Speaker 2: can go out to eat. You can have a wonderful
- 48:04Speaker 2: life in this country if you decide to do it.
- 48:07Speaker 2: I don't know why so many people... according to the
- 48:10Speaker 2: surveys you say, think that it's my responsibility to take
- 48:14Speaker 2: care of them or that they'd be better off under
- 48:17Speaker 2: some type of communism where you don't have any personal property.
- 48:20Speaker 2: You don't own anything. And the government tells you about everything.
- 48:24Speaker 2: To me, they are nothing but lazy people who want
- 48:26Speaker 2: stuff given to them who don't want to put any
- 48:29Speaker 2: effort forth. And I say to you, just many people
- 48:31Speaker 2: in this country need a good swift kick in the
- 48:34Speaker 2: ass to be told how good the country still is.
- 48:37Speaker 2: And if they need to put some effort into it,
- 48:39Speaker 2: to make something of their life. And if they're not
- 48:42Speaker 2: willing to put the effort into it, then often you
- 48:45Speaker 2: get failure. But don't blame me for that. Blame yourself
- 48:49Speaker 2: for that because you didn't put any effort forth. It
- 48:52Speaker 2: was just too hard or whatever your excuse might be.
- 48:56Speaker 2: There's no excuse to drop out of high school. The
- 48:59Speaker 2: dropout rate for high school should be zero. It's the
- 49:02Speaker 2: least we can expect of people in this country. is
- 49:05Speaker 2: to finish high school. And any parent that allows their
- 49:08Speaker 2: student to drop out of high school is a fool.
- 49:11Speaker 2: And if you don't like what you're doing in high school,
- 49:13Speaker 2: go to vocational school where you can learn a skill
- 49:16Speaker 2: or trade and be able to make a living in
- 49:18Speaker 2: that fashion. There's so many options for you. You don't
- 49:22Speaker 2: have to go to college. It's not for everybody. It
- 49:25Speaker 2: can be difficult, but maybe you have no desire to
- 49:28Speaker 2: go to law school or be an engineer or whatever
- 49:30Speaker 2: you would get as far as your college degree. But
- 49:33Speaker 2: if you decide to go to college and get some
- 49:35Speaker 2: stupid degree, and get a lot of debt, then you're
- 49:38Speaker 2: going to be burdened with that all of your life.
- 49:41Speaker 2: So every decision you make has consequences. So if you say, oh,
- 49:45Speaker 2: I'm going to go to college, get a liberal arts degree, well,
- 49:47Speaker 2: I don't have the money to go to college, then
- 49:49Speaker 2: the sad answer is you can't afford to go if
- 49:51Speaker 2: you don't get any of those scholarships. Then you better
- 49:54Speaker 2: figure it out.
- 49:54Speaker 24: Here's the thing today. Just like you were saying, you
- 49:58Speaker 24: can work at the Starbucks for 20 hours a week,
- 50:03Speaker 24: and they'll pay for your college. My nephew has been
- 50:09Speaker 24: working for UPS for six months. He just turned 20
- 50:15Speaker 24: years old. They just accepted him into the program where
- 50:19Speaker 24: they will pay for him to work and go to school. In,
- 50:26Speaker 24: I don't know what it is, 19 months or something,
- 50:29Speaker 24: he's an airframe and power plant mechanic. He's a heavy
- 50:33Speaker 24: jet mechanic. He already works for UPS. That means his
- 50:37Speaker 24: ticket's already punched. All he has to do is do
- 50:41Speaker 24: what they ask him to do to get his license.
- 50:44Speaker 24: They're paying for his education, and then they're going to
- 50:47Speaker 24: pay him oodles.
- 50:49Speaker 7: Of money when he's done.
- 50:51Speaker 24: He's a 20-year-old kid. They have everything today.
- 50:56Speaker 2: But he's got to put some effort forth. And many
- 50:58Speaker 2: people don't want to put any effort forth because it's just...
- 51:02Speaker 2: It's just too hard. We're begging for people to go
- 51:05Speaker 2: into the medical field. Listen, if you want to make
- 51:09Speaker 2: more money, you want to do more with your life,
- 51:11Speaker 2: then maybe you should become a nurse. Maybe you should
- 51:13Speaker 2: become a nurse anesthetist. There's so many things that you
- 51:17Speaker 2: can do with your life if you choose to do it.
- 51:20Speaker 2: But if you choose to say, I just want to
- 51:22Speaker 2: watch TV. I want to listen to the music. I
- 51:26Speaker 2: want to go out and drink and smoke pot and
- 51:29Speaker 2: all this kind of stuff. Well, don't blame me for
- 51:32Speaker 2: your lot in life and don't expect me to have
- 51:34Speaker 2: to pay for your lot in life. We've made it
- 51:36Speaker 2: far too easy in this country for too many people
- 51:39Speaker 2: to sit on their ass and do nothing. Absolutely nothing. Now,
- 51:44Speaker 2: as I've said, I always got to put a comma there.
- 51:46Speaker 2: I have no problem with people collecting unemployment because it
- 51:49Speaker 2: means they were employed and lost their job. I have
- 51:51Speaker 2: no problem with people collecting Social Security because it meant
- 51:54Speaker 2: they paid in all their life and now they're older
- 51:57Speaker 2: and they can enjoy their retirements. I have no problem
- 52:00Speaker 2: with people getting retirements from the military or police or fire,
- 52:04Speaker 2: that's all well and good because you've earned all of that.
- 52:07Speaker 2: But those are earned things. I'm just saying we make
- 52:10Speaker 2: it too easy for people to sit down without any
- 52:13Speaker 2: consequences to the mistakes they make and to be able
- 52:16Speaker 2: to survive. And I think that until you change that dynamic,
- 52:22Speaker 2: The great society of Lyndon Johnson has been a great failure.
- 52:25Speaker 2: And the Democrats keep wanting to expand that. We want
- 52:28Speaker 2: to just continue to give people more money for nothing. Oh,
- 52:33Speaker 2: we want to have reparations. But you were never a slave.
- 52:36Speaker 2: And the slave owners are dead and gone. This is ridiculous.
- 52:40Speaker 2: Absolutely ridiculous. Well, wait a minute. What about my health care? Well, okay,
- 52:46Speaker 2: what about your health care? As I say a million times,
- 52:49Speaker 2: don't you think as you get older, my father covered
- 52:52Speaker 2: it when I became an adult? Get a job that
- 52:54Speaker 2: has health care or go buy it. Those are your choices.
- 52:57Speaker 2: It's called growing up. It's not up to me to
- 53:00Speaker 2: provide you with health care or to sit on your
- 53:02Speaker 2: ass and collect Medicaid. Figure it out.
- 53:07Speaker 24: Because a daughter and a niece worked at the Starbucks,
- 53:12Speaker 24: and I was amazed. I kept having them tell me
- 53:15Speaker 24: more and more that they're giving people. They're handing it out.
- 53:20Speaker 24: They're begging you to come there and take their free college,
- 53:23Speaker 24: their health. I had Cadillac, Keenster, Giant Eagle Healthcare. Cadillac plan.
- 53:32Speaker 24: And Starbucks is better. I've never met anybody who had
- 53:36Speaker 24: better health care than I did. They have it at
- 53:38Speaker 24: Starbucks for nothing. And they're begging people. And we won't
- 53:43Speaker 24: do it. So you're right. We have to shut down
- 53:45Speaker 24: the paying for people to sit on their bus. We
- 53:48Speaker 24: have to shut down paying for the illegal aliens.
- 53:51Speaker 3: Sorry, Frank.
- 53:52Speaker 24: I don't know.
- 53:53Speaker 2: It's just nothing. We're paying people to do nothing. Everything
- 53:58Speaker 2: has been... Ronald Reagan said it.
- 54:00Speaker 24: You can't pay people to do nothing.
- 54:03Speaker 2: Right. I mean, failure should be a motivator. I'm not
- 54:09Speaker 2: saying hunger, but... At what point do you correct your
- 54:13Speaker 2: decisions that you are making? And quite frankly, I even
- 54:16Speaker 2: see it in our judicial system. We're far too soft
- 54:19Speaker 2: on violent criminals, on violent criminals. Many of these people
- 54:23Speaker 2: shouldn't be out. They commit other crimes when they're out.
- 54:26Speaker 2: We are far too easy on violent criminals without just saying, OK,
- 54:32Speaker 2: you're going to be punished and we're going to make
- 54:34Speaker 2: sure you don't hurt anybody else. And I see it
- 54:37Speaker 2: happening in the judicial system. We've become way too soft.
- 54:42Speaker 2: Why don't you see a lot of crime over in
- 54:45Speaker 2: the UAE? Well, you can put your wallet on a
- 54:48Speaker 2: table and it's going to be there when you come back.
- 54:51Speaker 2: Because if you pick it up and steal it, guess what?
- 54:53Speaker 2: They're going to cut your hand off, right?
- 54:55Speaker 1: What are they going to do in China?
- 54:58Speaker 3: Right.
- 54:58Speaker 24: It might not be cutting your hand off. It might
- 55:00Speaker 24: be taking an organ out that your leader needs.
- 55:03Speaker 3: Right.
- 55:03Speaker 25: Right.
- 55:04Speaker 2: I mean, and you mentioned this. You mentioned a slave
- 55:07Speaker 2: labor as well. Well stated. Appreciate it. Thank you. Back
- 55:12Speaker 2: after this news radio 570 WKVN. 570 WKVN. And Ron
- 55:18Speaker 2: Furb from the Kingdom of Mahoney at 425 here. On
- 55:22Speaker 2: a Friday, May 15th, it's 67 degrees. It's going to
- 55:25Speaker 2: be close to 90 on Monday. I mean, what a
- 55:27Speaker 2: big difference it's going to be. You're on the air.
- 55:30Speaker 1: Hey, what's up? What's up, Ron? Boy, what a show
- 55:34Speaker 1: you had. I was trying to listen. I was trying
- 55:36Speaker 1: to get on. I called at 3.
- 55:38Speaker 2: I know.
- 55:39Speaker 1: What time is it now?
- 55:40Speaker 25: 425.
- 55:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 55:40Speaker 1: I had a look at Frank from Fort Lauderdale. JJ, oh,
- 55:46Speaker 1: my God, he wrapped his shorts way too tight today.
- 55:49Speaker 1: I mean, he was saying everybody's name, and we were–
- 55:52Speaker 1: criticizing him. And I'm like, I don't know where he's
- 55:55Speaker 1: coming from. And then I thought, Oh my God, I
- 55:57Speaker 1: think he's having a nervous breakdown. So anyhow, and then
- 56:01Speaker 1: of course, uh, uh, we are a conservative Ted, the conservative.
- 56:06Speaker 1: And then, and then, uh, and then our, our baseball guy,
- 56:09Speaker 1: you know, that says about, um, or sports guy about
- 56:12Speaker 1: the calves and good, good. I'm glad he's got these predictions.
- 56:16Speaker 1: He's a good guy. He sounds like a really good person.
- 56:18Speaker 2: He's always, he's always in a good mood. He's always upbeat, but, uh,
- 56:23Speaker 2: He runs hot and cold, but he's our official sports prognosticator.
- 56:27Speaker 1: Well, I wouldn't use him to bet with. That's all.
- 56:29Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 56:30Speaker 2: Yeah, that's probably good advice.
- 56:32Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, and people are complaining about the..
- 56:35Speaker 2: But I'm going to say this when you talk about that. Now,
- 56:40Speaker 2: are you ready? I find J.J. the liberal. I find
- 56:43Speaker 2: him interesting. I find Ted the conservative absolutely fascinating. I
- 56:48Speaker 2: find Frank's take on things controversial but unique in.
- 56:56Speaker 8: Many ways.
- 56:57Speaker 2: And Jake is always an excellent caller. And I'm trying
- 57:03Speaker 2: to think of– if you're asking me, was I pleased
- 57:07Speaker 2: with the first hour and a half, my answer is
- 57:09Speaker 2: absolutely yes.
- 57:10Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 57:11Speaker 2: I mean, I was very into their– And then, and then,
- 57:19Speaker 2: Bubba Ganoush. Okay.
- 57:23Speaker 1: Yeah. Like I said, I've been listening, you know.
- 57:26Speaker 2: You're listening. We're talking. Never mind.
- 57:29Speaker 1: We're talking. You're listening on 570 WKVN. I love that.
- 57:34Speaker 6: Okay.
- 57:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 57:34Speaker 24: All right.
- 57:36Speaker 1: All right. But you're listening now, and I'm talking.
- 57:39Speaker 5: Yes.
- 57:40Speaker 1: So, a couple things. I got up early to watch the,
- 57:45Speaker 1: you know, Trump having dinner. At that time, it was
- 57:48Speaker 1: 6 o'clock a.m. my time. And the speeches that both
- 57:53Speaker 1: leaders had were phenomenal.
- 57:55Speaker 6: It was great.
- 57:56Speaker 1: He even said, make America great again. Then the media
- 57:59Speaker 1: comes on after that, talking about Taiwan and all this crap,
- 58:03Speaker 1: and that we're going to go to war with China
- 58:05Speaker 1: over Taiwan. And I'm thinking, that's depressing. And I said,
- 58:08Speaker 1: why do they got to destroy such a good thing?
- 58:11Speaker 22: Anyhow.
- 58:12Speaker 1: People say, well, you don't trust them. Well, you don't
- 58:14Speaker 1: trust anybody.
- 58:16Speaker 24: Anybody.
- 58:17Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Well, God says don't put
- 58:19Speaker 1: your trust in anybody but God. So anyhow, I got
- 58:23Speaker 1: a little bit down about that. Then all of a
- 58:25Speaker 1: sudden I got to thinking about, you know, the tribe
- 58:28Speaker 1: sweeping the L.A. Angels.
- 58:31Speaker 6: But listen, that team, you go look at their record, okay?
- 58:35Speaker 1: They're having problems themselves. But like I said, we swept them.
- 58:39Speaker 1: Now we're going to play Tito tonight.
- 58:41Speaker 2: Yeah, stand by for a second. Back with Bubba Ganoush. Yeah,
- 58:44Speaker 2: we played the Reds tonight. NewsRadio 570, WKBN and Ron Furman,
- 58:48Speaker 2: back in a bit. NewsRadio 570, WKBN. WKBN.
- 58:56Speaker 7: Now, Ron Furman on NewsRadio 570, WKBN.
- 59:02Speaker 2: That was played in your honor, Bubba Ganoush.
- 59:04Speaker 1: Thank you. I like that. I like that. It's motivating,
- 59:07Speaker 1: isn't it?
- 59:08Speaker 2: Well, you're motivating to me.
- 59:10Speaker 1: And listen, anyhow, we're playing Keto tonight. So it's going
- 59:14Speaker 1: to be a good series.
- 59:15Speaker 6: Okay?
- 59:17Speaker 1: Good matchups.
- 59:19Speaker 2: And then you have the Cavs and Pistons.
- 59:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 59:23Speaker 2: That's an important game. A lot of sports activity going on.
- 59:26Speaker 2: Dick from Dayton's head is going to be spinning tonight.
- 59:29Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. But listen, like I said, okay,
- 59:33Speaker 1: here's the thing, Ron. I might not agree with everything
- 59:37Speaker 1: people say.
- 59:38Speaker 26: Yes.
- 59:39Speaker 1: But I'm not going to try to destroy them. And
- 59:42Speaker 1: that's what I think about Trump. People don't understand. He knows.
- 59:46Speaker 1: You know, you even said this. You told me, or
- 59:50Speaker 1: you told us, you said, look, he knows things I
- 59:53Speaker 1: don't know about what's going on. So how do you
- 59:56Speaker 1: judge a man making decisions on stuff that's secret?
- 1:00:01Speaker 7: You know what I mean?
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: Well, you have to start with and acknowledge he knows
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: more than you know and his inner circle does. But
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: that doesn't mean you can't also listen to people that
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: are other experts, that I would consider experts, and get
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: their take on it. Because it also doesn't mean that
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: you just blatantly accept what you're being told to by
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: the government. Because let's be realistic. The government has lied
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: to us so many times. I mean, the government, Biden administration,
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: they lied about the origins of COVID. I mean, when
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: you had that guy testify just the other day that
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: said that the... How about that? Basically, the CIA knew
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: that it was from the lab in Wuhan, and Fauci
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: got involved in it. Right, right.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: But you know how the lab got it? I told
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: you before how the lab got it.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: Well, the funding..
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: Fauci created it here, and Obama told him to get
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: the hell.
- 1:00:54Speaker 7: Out of here.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: Well, the funding to this lab in Wuhan... See, my
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: problem is the government doesn't level with you. And I
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: don't know for what reason that Fauci's just a creep.
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: And I think Fauci should be in jail, in my opinion. Instead,
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: he's enjoying a gold-plated retirement. And I think we look at—
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: That's because of the auto pen. Well, I look at
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: the fact that you had people that died alone without
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: their family by their side. In nursing homes and hospitals,
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: you had doctors that said, we are having success with
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: ivermectin and hydrochloroquine, and they were punished as a result
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: of it. So I sit back and say, how many
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: lives could have been saved with these alternative treatments? The
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: doctors said, we are seeing patients survive COVID as a
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: result of this. And they were silenced. How many how
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: many people were saying that.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: You can lose your life?
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: Exactly. So I don't necessarily believe what the government is
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: telling me at all times because they lie and they
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: cover things up. I mean, do I sit back and
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: think that I was told the truth about the Kennedy assassination?
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: I doubt it. I don't know enough. And for some reason,
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: details are always sketchy when it comes to the Charlie
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: Kirk assassination, when it comes to the two assassination attempts
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: on Trump. Everything is hush-hush. We don't learn enough about
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: any of these situations. And the government's very quiet about
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: all of this stuff. And so a lot of the
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: stuff that the government tells you, I don't necessarily agree
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: with it. I will say this. I think the inflation
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: numbers are low. I don't think they represent actual inflation.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: I think the employment and unemployment numbers are way off.
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: I don't care what administration it is because you're not
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: counting people who fall off unemployment. So I think the
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: information that they're peddling us is– tarnished by political influences.
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: And I would just like to know the truth. And
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: I don't know why that doesn't, I don't know why
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: that doesn't happen. So, Hey, why don't we say what's
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: where the origins of COVID came from? Why isn't anybody
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: being held accountable for it? Why is, why do we
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: just let, let this happen that affected so many people?
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: Why is it that we don't have all the files
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: on the Epstein case? I want everything released for the
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: sake of the victims and to punish those that were
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: involved in all of these activities. I don't care how
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: rich they are. I don't care what type of political
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: influence they have. I don't care what party they're with.
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: Where is the justice in this entire scenario? And as
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: I've said a million times, Epstein was created by the
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: intelligence community. It sickens me, whether that's Israel or America
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: or a combination of both, that they would invest in
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: somebody and create somebody that would be running basically underage
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: girls being exploited by old perverts. And that this would
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: be an intelligent operation to get the goods on people.
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: And it sickens me. And everybody knew what was going on.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: Epstein Island, the Lolita Express, and the people. It was
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: fairly well known, but it went on anyway.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: And I love how people say, I was on the plane,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: but I didn't do anything.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: Right. And I don't care if Howard Lutnick's involved in it.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: I don't care if Bill Clinton's involved in it. It
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: doesn't matter to me if you're Republican or Democrat. You
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: should be held accountable for that. But once again, you
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: look and you're not going to see justice happen in
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: this case. You're just not going to see justice take place.
- 1:04:50Speaker 24: I understand.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: But now with the fraud, you're going to see some
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: of it, right?
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: I would like to think so. But once again, like
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: you had that guy from the CIA testifying about the
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: cover up in COVID and you didn't get a single
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: Democrat showing up. Once again, you had Musk out there saying,
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: why are we spending billions of your tax dollars on
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: this ridiculous crap that's all sexually oriented in these other countries?
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: And all the Democrats wanted to do was destroy Musk
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: and get rid of him. And they succeeded in it.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: So this waste of your tax dollars and nonsense could
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: continue to go on, making politically connected people rich with
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: these NGOs that you funnel all this money to. And
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: they hire a bunch of... Right, and they all become
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: wealthy as a result of it, and they spend a
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: little bit of the money over in these foreign countries
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: on this ridiculous stuff. And it's like, as a taxpayer,
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: do you say, why are we wasting money on this?
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: Why aren't we concerned about the debt? Why can't I
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: keep more of my money? Or the fraud that you
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: see going on in Ohio with DeWine and Medicaid, or
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: in Tampon Tims in Minnesota.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: Well, I can't wait until J.D. gets to Ohio. I
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: can't wait. It's bad. Worse than Minnesota, but go ahead.
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: I mean, you look around at all this stuff, so
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: you say, do I believe what government tells me? Nine
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: out of ten times, no. I just don't. And you
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: can go back to remember Vietnam, oh, it's a domino effect.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: Oh, I know what Vietnam was about.
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: I mean, it was just all a crock of crap.
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: And 70,000 people died who didn't need to die.
- 1:06:28Speaker 19: No.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: And then we lied about Agent Orange and the effect
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: that that had on so many.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: About the LSD they put on, they used on the kids.
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: I mean, so many things that trouble me from my
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: own government that I question anything anymore. Anything.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: Hey, wait a minute. Let's go back to COVID. Do
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: you remember when I called in when COVID, you know,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: back in March of 20? And I said, listen.
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: I try to forget your calls right after I hang
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: up on you.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: Okay, okay. I said, oh, come on, Ron. You've got
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: to admit that I was right on this one, because
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: I said, don't take the shot.
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: I found out about that. I said, this thing is not..
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: Well, did you take the shot? Did you take it?
- 1:07:08Speaker 24: No.
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:07:09Speaker 7: Never.
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: But can you imagine we were at a point with
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: these people who said, you either take it or lose
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: your job, which is taking a choice away from people.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: Right there, you've got to be sued on that.
- 1:07:21Speaker 7: That's ridiculous.
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: It's absolutely ridiculous.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: And, but listen, listen. And I said, why not to
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: take the shot? Because it clogs up your capillary veins,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: you know, the small veins, and causes you to have
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: a heart attack. Now, I had a friend of mine, well, actually,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: he wasn't a friend, but he was my brother's friend.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: And he was Mr. Affley. You know what I mean?
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: Down the Y.
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 1:07:41Speaker 5: You know what I mean?
- 1:07:42Speaker 6: Working out.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: And this guy was in great shape. All of a sudden,
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: he died of a heart attack. Joe calls me and says,
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: Kenny died. I said, did he take the shot? He said, yep.
- 1:07:53Speaker 6: I said, okay.
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: Well, you would see that with so many young athletes.
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: So many people had myocarditis and heart issues as a
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: result of that shot. Yeah. And I'll be fair. Many
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: people have problems as a result of COVID as well.
- 1:08:09Speaker 7: So..
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: There were people that suffered as a result of the shot.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: There were people that suffered as a result of getting COVID.
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: But let's remember where it started, in the damn bio
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: lab funded by Fauci in China. Communist China. It should
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: have never happened. It should have never happened in the
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: first place. And once again, Victoria Nuland lying about the
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: bio labs in the Ukraine that didn't exist until they
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: had to admit they did exist when Putin was coming in.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: Because the Russians exposed it.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: Right, because the Russians are going to all of them
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: to close them down. And then they had to admit, oh, wait, well,
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: they were there. Well, there's proof that they were lying
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: to you all along. Yep.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: You're right. But here's one last thing. I went to
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: a dinner last night. It was a nice dinner. And
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: I met this guy.
- 1:08:53Speaker 8: What did you have?
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: You didn't have Mediterranean food. Did you have normal food?
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: It was. It was Lebanese food.
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: Oh, my God. What did you eat?
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: I'm not going to tell you. I've got to finish
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: my thought before you throw me off. All right. So
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: we're talking and stuff. And he whispers to me. He goes,
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: do you like Trump? I said, yeah. You know, I
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: don't whisper it.
- 1:09:12Speaker 6: I said, yes.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: And everybody there knows me that knows that, right? Especially
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: the negative people. The negative left over there. And you
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: know what? You know what I found out about these people?
- 1:09:24Speaker 7: What?
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: They got so much hate inside of them, Ron.
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: Okay?
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: And it's amazing. It's like, listen, what are you talking about?
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: They said the United States killed the Lebanese in southern Lebanon.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: I said, no, they didn't. The Jews were trying to
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: get rid of Hezbollah, and they were bombing. Oh, but
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: the United States gave them the bombs. You know what?
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: You know, that's like, Ron, I go to a gun store.
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: You had to probably lose your appetite. Did you have Kibbe?
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: Yeah, Kibbe Naeem.
- 1:09:54Speaker 7: Oh, my God.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: But listen, listen, let me finish. So this guy we're
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: talking to, he can't believe how Trump is still surviving
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: after all the punishment he went through. You know, three assassinations,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: you know, being impeached twice, blah, blah, blah, being sued.
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: Anyhow.
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: So then I found out that he won his lawsuit
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: with the IRS and got a $ 20 billion settlement. And
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: you know what he did today? He dropped it. He said, no,
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: he wants to take that money and he wants to
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: use it to start a fund for people that were
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: persecuted by Obama and Biden. And to, you know, to
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: help them financially. Isn't that great of him?
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: Yes, it is.
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: So, yeah, so people say, well, he's such a bad guy.
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: He just gave up $ 20 billion.
- 1:10:40Speaker 24: Anyhow.
- 1:10:41Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: So, last thing.
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: Please, I'm starting to get to... We were talking about religion.
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: Listen, listen. And he said something about Muslims. I said, well,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: Muslims are not a religion. It's a movement. I mean,
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: I studied this for years.
- 1:10:55Speaker 25: And..
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: And the guy says, yeah, that's why, who was the
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: ambassador for England during World War II? You know, the
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: guy from England. Anyhow, I keep on forgetting his name
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: for some reason, but he said that Islam to a
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: human being is like rabies to a dog. And he goes,
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: what does rabies do, Dave? I said, well, it makes
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: the dog go crazy.
- 1:11:21Speaker 24: Bingo.
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:11:23Speaker 6: Is that it?
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: But before I end, Yeah, because really, you're getting on
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: my patience.
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: What do you mean I'm getting on your patience?
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: You're getting on my last nerve. I don't know. It
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: just is like starting to get painful.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: Let me end with this. Strike three called. Ball game.
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: All right. I can accept that. Thank you. You're on
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: the air. Wow.
- 1:11:47Speaker 20: I'm sorry, man, but wow.
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: What do you mean? I mean, he did a great
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: strike three ball game. I love it when he does that.
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: He sounds somewhat like he's doing a good Tom Hamilton.
- 1:12:01Speaker 20: Well, listen, I'm a Yankees fan.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: You ain't doing Michael Kay.
- 1:12:03Speaker 6: I don't care.
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: We don't care about the Yankees here.
- 1:12:06Speaker 7: All right, then.
- 1:12:07Speaker 20: You know, just like you guys hate Democrats, we hate Republicans.
- 1:12:10Speaker 20: But you threw some bait out there, Ron. And I
- 1:12:14Speaker 20: had to bite on it before we go any further.
- 1:12:17Speaker 20: You were talking about the people that called your show, right?
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:12:22Speaker 7: Over the years..
- 1:12:25Speaker 20: You can't lie because your boss is listening. There's been
- 1:12:28Speaker 20: absolutely nobody that brought as much smoke and moved the
- 1:12:33Speaker 20: Dow as that guy named Emanuel.
- 1:12:35Speaker 7: Who calls you.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: Emanuel? That guy's nothing but trouble.
- 1:12:41Speaker 20: Yeah, but he moves the Dow.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: And he brings smoke.
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: And where there's smoke, there's fire.
- 1:12:50Speaker 20: You better believe it, right? I've been trying for years
- 1:12:52Speaker 20: to get you fired, but it ain't going to work.
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: You and a bunch of other people.
- 1:12:59Speaker 7: Yeah, but let me ask you a.
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: Question, right?
- 1:13:02Speaker 20: Now, we totally agree that we don't care whose name,
- 1:13:11Speaker 20: you know, like if your name's on the Epstein files, right,
- 1:13:14Speaker 20: then we got a problem with it. Now, I know
- 1:13:18Speaker 20: that you don't believe, you know, and it hasn't been
- 1:13:20Speaker 20: proven yet, that our president is part of the Epstein files.
- 1:13:26Speaker 20: But if it comes out that he is, do you
- 1:13:30Speaker 20: still support him?
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: He should be held accountable like anybody else. I mean,
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: if you're talking about if it comes out that he
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: engaged in those activities with underage women... then you're compromised.
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: Somebody was running that operation. If you ask me, I mean,
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: I can only speculate. I've told you before. Listen now,
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: 570 WKBN. And Ron Verbit, 456 from the Kingdom of Mahoning,
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: NewsRadio 570 WKBN. So, Manuel, the point I'm making is
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: I don't care if you're a Democrat or Republican. If
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: you're involved in Epstein in any way, you've been compromised
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: and you should be held accountable. I don't care if
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: you're a Republican or Democrat. Just like I don't care
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: if this Boston mayor is a Republican or Democrat. She's
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: a Chinese spy, basically, or influenced by China, just like
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: Eric Swalwell. He would still be in Congress today if
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: he didn't run for the governor of California. And basically,
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: somebody turned on him to put all that out there
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: to get him out of the race. He would still
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: be sitting in Congress. But here was Eric Swalwell on
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: the Intelligence Committee, and he was dating a Chinese spy.
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: For the love of God, where's the accountability as an
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: American to say, Eric Swalwell shouldn't be in Washington long
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: before he got thrown out because of running for governor.
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: He was a piece of crap, and everybody knew it
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: beforehand and compromised with the Chinese spy. Just as who
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: was the woman that Feinstein had had the Chinese spy driver?
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: I mean, this is ridiculous. It doesn't matter to me
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: what party you're with.
- 1:15:13Speaker 7: You know what I think is ridiculous?
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: This program?
- 1:15:17Speaker 20: No, well, this program is insane. That's ridiculous. What I'm
- 1:15:23Speaker 20: saying is this. There should be certain things that you
- 1:15:27Speaker 20: shouldn't be allowed to plea bargain.
- 1:15:30Speaker 7: I would tell her.
- 1:15:32Speaker 20: Listen, you're looking at 25 years. If you roll over
- 1:15:36Speaker 20: and give up the network, you're going to do 20.
- 1:15:39Speaker 20: I just don't believe that anybody, whatever party you are,
- 1:15:43Speaker 20: if you are a traitor, I don't believe you should
- 1:15:45Speaker 20: get shot. I don't believe in that, right? But I
- 1:15:48Speaker 20: do believe you need to do at least a quarter
- 1:15:50Speaker 20: of a century in the penitentiary. What do you think
- 1:15:53Speaker 20: about that?
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: I would agree with that. And this is after her
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: fiancé got arrested. He had gotten arrested long before she did,
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: and they didn't make the connection at the time. I mean,
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: what was going on here?
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: It's just..
- 1:16:07Speaker 20: If they would have told him he was looking at
- 1:16:09Speaker 20: 25 years, and if he rolled, well, he'll do 20, he.
- 1:16:11Speaker 7: Would have gave everybody up. You can't plea bargain this.
- 1:16:14Speaker 20: When it comes to this country, you cannot plea bargain it, Ron.
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: You must start as you're an American first. I don't
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: care who's compromised, a Republican or Democrat with Epstein or
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: who's involved with China. They got to go. You got
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: to have this country's interest.
- 1:16:29Speaker 7: I'm agreeing with you.
- 1:16:29Speaker 20: I'm getting off this damn phone. You have a nice day, man.
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: He probably is deeply concerned. Ron Verp from the Kingdom
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: of Mahoning, NewsRadio 570 WKBN. From ABC News.
- 1:16:49Speaker 10: I'm Mike Daboski. President Trump is dropping his $ 10 billion
- 1:16:53Speaker 10: lawsuit against the IRS in exchange for the creation of
- 1:16:56Speaker 10: a $ 1. 7 billion fund which would pay alleged victims of
- 1:17:01Speaker 10: government weaponization. ABC News National Correspondent Stephen Portnoy.
- 1:17:05Speaker 27: The House Judiciary Committee's top Democrat calls the idea a
- 1:17:08Speaker 27: giant affront to the rule of law. In a statement,
- 1:17:11Speaker 27: Jamie Raskin of Maryland says Trump has no authority to
- 1:17:14Speaker 27: conjure up billion-dollar compensation schemes. Sources tell ABC News the
- 1:17:18Speaker 27: $ 1. 7 billion fund would pay out claims to those who
- 1:17:21Speaker 27: say they were unfairly targeted by the Biden administration. including
- 1:17:24Speaker 27: those who were pardoned for rioting at the Capitol on
- 1:17:27Speaker 27: January 6th.
- 1:17:28Speaker 10: President Trump is returning to Washington right now after a
- 1:17:30Speaker 10: summit with President Xi Jinping in China. Those two agreed
- 1:17:34Speaker 10: to a vision of constructive strategic stability.
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: But former U.S.
- 1:17:39Speaker 10: Ambassador to China Nicholas Burns says it just gives China
- 1:17:42Speaker 10: more leverage if the U.S. is seen to be breaking
- 1:17:44Speaker 10: the deal.
- 1:17:44Speaker 22: This is a trap for the United States. The Chinese
- 1:17:46Speaker 22: have tried this before, which is why previous administrations haven't
- 1:17:50Speaker 22: agreed to it.
- 1:17:51Speaker 10: Several updates on the hantavirus outbreak. The one American who
- 1:17:54Speaker 10: tested positive for the illness after being exposed aboard that
- 1:17:57Speaker 10: Dutch cruise ship may have never had the disease to
- 1:17:59Speaker 10: begin with. Experts saying Dr. Stephen Kornfield may have tested
- 1:18:03Speaker 10: false positive. He now says he's deciding whether to stay
- 1:18:06Speaker 10: in quarantine in Omaha, Nebraska, or go home and finish
- 1:18:09Speaker 10: the 42-day quarantine there.
- 1:18:11Speaker 16: I think everybody in this unit is sort of having
- 1:18:13Speaker 16: that discussion with their own health system and with their families.
- 1:18:18Speaker 16: Some will probably stay here the entire time. Some may
- 1:18:22Speaker 16: ultimately go home.
- 1:18:23Speaker 10: Meanwhile, the two Americans who were split off from the
- 1:18:26Speaker 10: original group of Americans exposed to the Hanta virus kept
- 1:18:29Speaker 10: at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta have now been transferred
- 1:18:32Speaker 10: to that quarantine center in Omaha. And another Harvey Weinstein
- 1:18:35Speaker 10: case has ended in a mistrial after a jury found
- 1:18:38Speaker 10: itself deadlocked over whether Weinstein raped Jessica Mann, an aspiring actress.
- 1:18:43Speaker 10: You're listening to ABC News.
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: And here's our top secret number if you want to
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: participate till 6.30 tonight. Guardians pregame at 6.30 as we
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: take on the Reds. First pitch a little after 7.
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: On News Radio 570 WQEN 330-729-9977 330-729-9977 We'll get you
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: through this. 330-729-9977 67 Degrees, Ron Verb, NewsRadio 570, WKN
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: from the Kingdom of Mahoning, and you're on the air.
- 1:19:17Speaker 17: Dave Thomas was really good yesterday. I thought, after all
- 1:19:21Speaker 17: the information he gave, how long would that take me
- 1:19:24Speaker 17: to find out myself, if I even could put forth
- 1:19:26Speaker 17: the effort to find any of that?
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: It would be difficult. Like I say when he's on,
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: he represents everything in politics that you want. He's genuinely
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: a public servant. He's operating in a taxpayer's best interest,
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: and he's not– he just– he isn't an egotistical guy.
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: He isn't stuck on himself or an egotistical guy. He's
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: a public servant that wants to do the best job
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: he can do for his taxpaying citizens and on a
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: regular basis makes time available to come on the program
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: for the sole purpose of letting us know what's going on.
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: And for that, I have a world of respect for him.
- 1:20:08Speaker 17: Yeah, when he was talking about all that fraud and
- 1:20:11Speaker 17: talking about why hasn't anybody figured it out or why
- 1:20:14Speaker 17: hasn't anybody said anything about it, it was really interesting.
- 1:20:16Speaker 17: I was thinking about it afterwards. I was thinking about
- 1:20:18Speaker 17: Amy Acton. And I don't know if you noticed, did
- 1:20:22Speaker 17: she ever mention why she's even running for governor? Because
- 1:20:26Speaker 17: it's kind of similar to why was Tim Walz picked
- 1:20:30Speaker 17: as the vice president choice for Kamala Harris? And the
- 1:20:34Speaker 17: more information that's come out, it was most likely to
- 1:20:37Speaker 17: cover up the fraud, because if you go to the
- 1:20:38Speaker 17: vice president, you can stifle a lot of that. I'm
- 1:20:41Speaker 17: sure that the fraud that would eventually come out or
- 1:20:44Speaker 17: use all that money, then funnel it into the campaign
- 1:20:47Speaker 17: for vice president, president. And it's just very suspicious to
- 1:20:52Speaker 17: me why Amy Acton, after she gave up, would want
- 1:20:56Speaker 17: to run for governor. Has she done anything in between
- 1:20:59Speaker 17: since she quit?
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: Not that I'm aware of.
- 1:21:03Speaker 17: You know in a you look at the other side
- 1:21:05Speaker 17: you look at the big rama saw me it's like
- 1:21:07Speaker 17: cool i want him to be governor because he had
- 1:21:10Speaker 17: bigger aspirations even in ohio it makes sense for him
- 1:21:14Speaker 17: to do is good apart the job is possible so
- 1:21:17Speaker 17: that he could use that to run for president so
- 1:21:20Speaker 17: even if he decided that will you made his whole
- 1:21:23Speaker 17: goal in all this was to run for president in
- 1:21:25Speaker 17: twenty twenty just get his name out there so that
- 1:21:28Speaker 17: eventually he can run for governor in ohio where he
- 1:21:31Speaker 17: is now And if that was his ultimate plan, I mean,
- 1:21:35Speaker 17: that's genius in itself there, too. And I think enough
- 1:21:38Speaker 17: that I would vote for that to be governor of Ohio.
- 1:21:41Speaker 17: It's just the Amy Acton thing just really, it's just
- 1:21:44Speaker 17: suspicious to me. I get why Vivek's right, but why
- 1:21:48Speaker 17: would Amy Acton want to run for governor? She's done
- 1:21:51Speaker 17: nothing in between, and she quit. And if all this
- 1:21:54Speaker 17: Medicaid fraud, you know, ends up finding its fingers and,
- 1:21:58Speaker 17: you know, pathways back to her, it's going to make
- 1:22:00Speaker 17: a lot more sense.
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: Well, it seems to me a couple of things. I
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: would like to see Vivek run. Well, he's running for governor.
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: I'd like to see him be successful in the campaign
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: because I think he's smart. How about this for a
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: reason why I will vote for him? I agree with
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: a lot of the things that he's saying, and that's important,
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: but I also think he's smart. And that's what I'm
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: looking for in somebody to be governor. I'm looking for
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: somebody that is smart enough to run this large operation
- 1:22:29Speaker 2: that we have and to run it efficiently and to
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: stop the fraud and waste. Mike DeWine, doesn't matter to
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: me that he's a Republican, is so disappointing in looking
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: the other way on this stuff. Good riddance to him.
- 1:22:42Speaker 2: You and I are alike. We don't think that all
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: Republicans are great when they engage in the kickbacks that
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: we happen to see with the power company and the
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: Speaker going to jail or DeWine looking the other way
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: on some of this kind of stuff. I want accountability
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: for all of this stuff. I want Vivek and I
- 1:23:00Speaker 2: want Amy Acton. I have zero reason to vote for her.
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: She's a far-left progressive that will... hurt the state of Ohio,
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: in my opinion, like progressives have hurt all of these states.
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: All of these states that they're in. What do they do?
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: More social programs? Tax productive people more? We're only going
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: to tax the rich? It always comes down to you
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: getting taxed more. It's just nonsense.
- 1:23:27Speaker 17: You know, you guys, when you were talking with Dave
- 1:23:30Speaker 17: Thomas yesterday, you know, he hit the nail on the head.
- 1:23:32Speaker 17: I think you brought it out of him. But, you know,
- 1:23:35Speaker 17: even if DeWine, this whole reason why he wanted the
- 1:23:37Speaker 17: fraud to basically go on is because he didn't want
- 1:23:39Speaker 17: anybody to take the money away from him. He didn't
- 1:23:41Speaker 17: want any kids to go hungry. They suffer, him, some
- 1:23:46Speaker 17: of the Democrats, they suffer from this toxic generosity. They
- 1:23:51Speaker 17: think they're helping somebody, but really what they're doing is
- 1:23:54Speaker 17: they're hurting others. Think of all the other people that really,
- 1:23:57Speaker 17: truly do need Medicaid or which, like Dave Thomas said,
- 1:24:00Speaker 17: is way lower than the number that are on there now,
- 1:24:03Speaker 17: and I think we can all understand that. But don't
- 1:24:05Speaker 17: you feel for those people? Don't you feel for the
- 1:24:08Speaker 17: people who get up and go to work every day
- 1:24:10Speaker 17: and trade their time for money? Don't you feel for them?
- 1:24:13Speaker 17: I don't want any kid to be hungry, but you
- 1:24:15Speaker 17: know what? Maybe that's the parent's responsibility.
- 1:24:19Speaker 2: When I was a kid, it was my dad's responsibility.
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: When I brought children into the world, it was my
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: responsibility to as a father. I mean, that's just part
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: of growing up. It's part of what you stand for,
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: and it's being a man.
- 1:24:35Speaker 12: And that's what I mean.
- 1:24:38Speaker 17: I don't understand, again, so what did they get? 90%
- 1:24:44Speaker 17: from the federal government to subsidize the state Medicaid, and
- 1:24:48Speaker 17: then it dropped from 90% to 50%, and they did
- 1:24:50Speaker 17: nothing with it?
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: I mean, And keep in mind one other thing that
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: you didn't bring up. I'll tell you who else was
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: a lousy governor, and I don't much care for anything
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: he has to say, and he's a Republican, Kasich. As
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: he pointed out yesterday, Kasich expanded, a Republican expanded Medicaid
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: to put people on it that were 25 years old
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: of work age, and he just expanded the roles on Medicaid,
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: and the federal government gave a bonus to do that,
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: if you will, but the bonus went away and we
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: were stuck with the program. So he's a Republican and
- 1:25:27Speaker 2: DeWine's a Republican, and they're both, in my opinion, lousy governors.
- 1:25:31Speaker 17: And Kasich was neck and neck with Trump in the
- 1:25:35Speaker 17: 2015 midterms for the Republican nominee. I think everybody forgets Kasich.
- 1:25:39Speaker 17: It was Donald Trump and Kasich were the last two
- 1:25:41Speaker 17: in it.
- 1:25:41Speaker 20: So Kasich was just.
- 1:25:43Speaker 17: Shy of running for the Republican nominee for president. Who
- 1:25:46Speaker 17: knows what could have happened?
- 1:25:48Speaker 7: Right.
- 1:25:48Speaker 2: I mean, it's almost like he's a liberal Democrat. When
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: the focus isn't on the productive taxpaying citizen and how
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: much money you're taking from them, and the focus is
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: only on the people that are receiving the money, your vision,
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: your priorities are totally messed up.
- 1:26:09Speaker 17: Here's where things fall short for me, too. You know,
- 1:26:11Speaker 17: I watched J.D. Vance in Maine yesterday talking about the
- 1:26:14Speaker 17: fraud and all this, and everybody's clapping and everybody's saying, great, good.
- 1:26:18Speaker 17: At the end of the day, unless something actually happens
- 1:26:20Speaker 17: with this, it's a day late and a dollar short.
- 1:26:23Speaker 17: Because I'm sick of politics. We're going to fight this.
- 1:26:25Speaker 17: We're going to do this. We're going to get the
- 1:26:26Speaker 17: job done. Because these Somalis that are coming here, they
- 1:26:29Speaker 17: are not doing this on their own. There's just absolutely
- 1:26:33Speaker 17: no way. You don't leave from some third world country,
- 1:26:36Speaker 17: come over here and cook up this scheme to defraud
- 1:26:39Speaker 17: the government of billions of dollars. So where's the money going?
- 1:26:43Speaker 17: They need to find it. They need to arrest these people.
- 1:26:45Speaker 17: And they need to absolutely.
- 1:26:46Speaker 6: Throw the book at them.
- 1:26:47Speaker 17: I mean, you've got Chinese spies being elected mayors. We've
- 1:26:50Speaker 17: got 40% of Medicaid in our state going to fraud.
- 1:26:54Speaker 17: I mean, you talk about property taxes. What's the state
- 1:26:57Speaker 17: taking in revenue? You're $ 100 billion in tax revenue, and
- 1:27:01Speaker 17: $ 20 billion of it is property tax. Well, if you
- 1:27:04Speaker 17: fix just a couple billion just based on fraud, you
- 1:27:07Speaker 17: don't even really need to fix the rest of it.
- 1:27:09Speaker 17: It'll just figure itself out. And that's where I want
- 1:27:12Speaker 17: a politician to actually come in and do the job.
- 1:27:14Speaker 17: And I don't know if it's saying, hey, I'm coming
- 1:27:16Speaker 17: and I'm running for one term. I'm not running again.
- 1:27:19Speaker 17: I'm not coming here to make friends. But then guess
- 1:27:21Speaker 17: what happens?
- 1:27:22Speaker 7: Then you're the rest of.
- 1:27:22Speaker 17: Your political party. Well, wait a second. We're not going
- 1:27:24Speaker 17: to support you if you're only going to do this
- 1:27:26Speaker 17: one time. You know, we can't get behind you. We're
- 1:27:28Speaker 17: going to pull a lot of money. So then you
- 1:27:29Speaker 17: can't run. And it's just a vicious machine that we're
- 1:27:33Speaker 17: stuck in right now. And, you know, you've got other
- 1:27:36Speaker 17: people calling in. tripping up trying to know if if
- 1:27:39Speaker 17: they don't really have elections like that they have fifty-year
- 1:27:41Speaker 17: plan to go running big terms in four-year cycles and
- 1:27:45Speaker 17: they're not a democracy they're not a big representative republic
- 1:27:48Speaker 17: so yeah molding which i had just worked me to
- 1:27:53Speaker 17: disbelief but that that's what we're getting off the subject
- 1:27:56Speaker 17: there i just don't understand again i'll get back to
- 1:27:58Speaker 17: it i really want to find out why any active
- 1:28:02Speaker 17: even decided to run for governor it's just the more
- 1:28:04Speaker 17: i think that it's just it's a strange and bizarre.
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: I don't know how you would vote for her or
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: her philosophy or take the state of Ohio in that direction,
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: even acknowledging we've had disappointments with the Republican speaker and
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: DeWine in case it could have been disappointments. But in general,
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: the Republicans have done more to assist you with Dave
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: Thomas and voting in support of things to get things
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: accomplished to benefit you on putting guardrails in on these
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: ridiculous property taxes. The Democrats have not. done any of
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: that any of that at all, any of it. It's
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: just like in a commissioner's race. Lauren McNally is a
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: left-leaning liberal Democrat. You think I could vote for her
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: for commissioner? Absolutely not. So With Christine Oliver talking about
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: exercising those two options that are available on you, giving
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: you some relief on your property taxes, to me that
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: vote is a no-brainer. I mean, why wouldn't you vote
- 1:29:06Speaker 2: for Oliver over a far-left liberal that, once again, doesn't
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: think of the productive taxpayer?
- 1:29:13Speaker 17: I can't disagree with you there. Have you had Dane
- 1:29:18Speaker 17: Davis on any time recently?
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: I have not, and I have to do that. I mean,
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: he's so busy, but remind me next week, and I'll
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: text him when you're on.
- 1:29:27Speaker 17: Well, I'm reminding you right now.
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: Yeah, but I don't want to bug him on a weekend. Well,
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: I will write yourself a note. All right, I'll try to,
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: because I would really love to hear it. As a
- 1:29:38Speaker 2: matter of fact, I'm going to do it right now
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: when you're on the phone.
- 1:29:41Speaker 7: Wait.
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: Wait a second. You're on the phone right now just
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: so that you can show. I'm going to show you
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: that you have Dane Davis right there. Wait a second.
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: Can you come on.
- 1:29:51Speaker 26: Show next week?
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: With Denny from Rock. Can you go on show next
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: week there? I just text him, okay?
- 1:30:16Speaker 17: All right, perfect.
- 1:30:17Speaker 2: All right, so if he comes on, you get the credits,
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: all right? Because I am curious what he thinks about
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: what's happening as far as our economy is concerned in
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: this whole thing. His take would be fascinating.
- 1:30:29Speaker 17: Interest rates are just going through the roof again.
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: Why are they going through the roof again? I don't
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: understand that, because the Fed... hasn't lowered them or increased them.
- 1:30:44Speaker 2: I mean, there was talk yesterday about the new Fed guy,
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: we might have to, not him, saying, well, interest rates,
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: they could raise it because of inflation. Listen, I'm going
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: to tell you something. I think you've got to lower
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: interest rates at this point in time because I think
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: the economy's got some serious issues.
- 1:30:59Speaker 17: All right, we'll have Andrew Smith call in while Dane
- 1:31:03Speaker 17: Davis is on. And then see what he has to
- 1:31:06Speaker 17: say about that, because I think he would disagree with
- 1:31:09Speaker 17: you on that one. Because how are we going to
- 1:31:13Speaker 17: do that? How are we going to lower interest rates?
- 1:31:15Speaker 17: I mean, I want lower interest rates, but you know
- 1:31:17Speaker 17: what that's going to do to inflation again? We've got
- 1:31:23Speaker 17: a problem because we printed so much money. So if anybody,
- 1:31:27Speaker 17: you know, the new Federal Reserve chairman, I tell you what,
- 1:31:30Speaker 17: he's coming in a really bad time. And Jerome Powell,
- 1:31:33Speaker 17: he printed... almost half of our currency since he's been in, uh,
- 1:31:38Speaker 17: you know, on the fed and he's walking out the
- 1:31:40Speaker 17: door and he's leaving the next guy holding the bag
- 1:31:44Speaker 17: because he's walking into a complete disaster. All we're doing
- 1:31:47Speaker 17: is printing money. And then they get, they get interesting
- 1:31:49Speaker 17: with it. It's not quantitative easing. They put more on
- 1:31:52Speaker 17: the bank's balance sheets, you know, they're doing funny things
- 1:31:56Speaker 17: so that it doesn't look like it's printing money. It's,
- 1:31:58Speaker 17: It's all a game. It's all a charade. And at
- 1:32:00Speaker 17: the end of the day, we all get screwed. And
- 1:32:02Speaker 17: that's why I think Dane Davis could really– he just
- 1:32:05Speaker 17: does a good job of explaining in simple terms.
- 1:32:07Speaker 2: So would you agree with this? I agree with that.
- 1:32:09Speaker 2: Would you agree with this if I lay this scenario
- 1:32:12Speaker 2: on you? To all of you listening, listen, I think
- 1:32:14Speaker 2: economically we're in a horrible place right now. And I
- 1:32:18Speaker 2: think we've had problems ever since COVID, ever since Biden
- 1:32:23Speaker 2: printing all the money and creating all this inflation. I
- 1:32:26Speaker 2: think that that has been a problem. And I think
- 1:32:28Speaker 2: Trump has added to that as a result, whether you
- 1:32:32Speaker 2: agree or disagree with the situation in Iran, with petroleum
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: prices and oil going up and inflation coming back as
- 1:32:40Speaker 2: a result of that. I think economically speaking, we are
- 1:32:44Speaker 2: in a bad place for many of, are working Americans
- 1:32:49Speaker 2: because of inflation, because of taxes, and the cost of energy.
- 1:32:57Speaker 2: So I think we're in a really, really bad place.
- 1:33:02Speaker 2: And I hate to see..
- 1:33:03Speaker 4: If.
- 1:33:05Speaker 2: You would lower interest rates even by a point, I
- 1:33:07Speaker 2: don't know that... I think that helps people potentially buy
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: a home and get on with their life. I would
- 1:33:14Speaker 2: like to see... I would like to see people do
- 1:33:17Speaker 2: it as opposed to age out and really never achieve
- 1:33:20Speaker 2: the American dream. Home sales, they're decent here.
- 1:33:25Speaker 17: Look, in COVID, I refinanced my house at, what, 2.8%
- 1:33:30Speaker 17: when interest rates dropped 2.5%.
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: That was great.
- 1:33:33Speaker 17: You can get a better rate on your mortgage. Well,
- 1:33:34Speaker 17: what did that do to the price of everybody's home?
- 1:33:37Speaker 17: It darn near doubled or tripled in some instances. So
- 1:33:40Speaker 17: that's great if you can get a better term on
- 1:33:42Speaker 17: your loan for your house, but it's not good if
- 1:33:44Speaker 17: the house... triples in price.
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: I'm not so sure that's why it tripled in price.
- 1:33:50Speaker 2: I mean, there was a lot of demand. But remember,
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: you had a gazillion people in the country illegally looking
- 1:33:56Speaker 2: for places to rent and what have you. So there's
- 1:33:59Speaker 2: many reasons why home prices went up. But if you
- 1:34:01Speaker 2: look in areas... where they went up a lot, like
- 1:34:04Speaker 2: particularly Florida, they are coming down. It is more of
- 1:34:08Speaker 2: a buyer's market.
- 1:34:10Speaker 17: Boom, bust like that. Arizona is a big one too.
- 1:34:13Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:34:13Speaker 17: You know, like 2008 financial crisis, they, they got hit
- 1:34:17Speaker 17: the hardest.
- 1:34:17Speaker 6: They recovered the fastest.
- 1:34:19Speaker 17: So, you know, there's always going to be that outlier for,
- 1:34:21Speaker 17: for all these things, but man, I don't, I wouldn't
- 1:34:25Speaker 17: want to be the new chairman of the federal reserve
- 1:34:28Speaker 17: starting next week. But, um, We might have one other option.
- 1:34:31Speaker 17: So the Clarity Act passed through the Senate Banking Committee.
- 1:34:35Speaker 24: Elizabeth Warren, she's just.
- 1:34:37Speaker 17: A nasty, vile woman who will do anything to undermine
- 1:34:40Speaker 17: the American population and do whatever she can to stay
- 1:34:43Speaker 17: in power. Nasty. She tried to kibosh the whole thing.
- 1:34:47Speaker 17: Let's go into the Senate now. So this will be
- 1:34:48Speaker 17: the next big vote.
- 1:34:49Speaker 7: Pass the Senate.
- 1:34:50Speaker 17: We'll go to Trump's desk. He's hoping and planning to
- 1:34:53Speaker 17: sign it and have it all done so he can
- 1:34:55Speaker 17: sign it the morning.
- 1:34:56Speaker 26: Of the 4th of July.
- 1:34:57Speaker 17: That might be our only next option. for the money
- 1:35:01Speaker 17: printing and the interest rates.
- 1:35:03Speaker 2: Didn't they say Elizabeth Warren was the problem in allowing
- 1:35:07Speaker 2: JetBlue and Spirit Airlines to merge?
- 1:35:10Speaker 17: That's exactly right.
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:35:12Speaker 17: I mean, she's doing everything she can to just undermine
- 1:35:15Speaker 17: this country. And she's working for the big banks. That's
- 1:35:19Speaker 17: all she does.
- 1:35:20Speaker 2: There you go. Thanks, Alec. Appreciate it.
- 1:35:22Speaker 19: 522.
- 1:35:22Speaker 2: I'll be right back.
- 1:35:32Speaker 28: Hi, Ron.
- 1:35:32Speaker 26: Do you need anything answered? I just called to tell
- 1:35:35Speaker 26: you we have a great weekend.
- 1:35:39Speaker 2: You have such words of wisdom to share with all
- 1:35:41Speaker 2: of us, need I ask?
- 1:35:45Speaker 7: Well, I don't know.
- 1:35:46Speaker 26: I mean, we have a money leak. It's clear in
- 1:35:50Speaker 26: Ohio and Minnesota and California. Like, all our politicians magically
- 1:35:57Speaker 26: get rich.
- 1:35:58Speaker 2: Can you imagine how much of your tax dollars... are
- 1:36:02Speaker 2: really just wasted and fraud on a federal, state, and
- 1:36:06Speaker 2: even local level. How much of your money is mandatorily
- 1:36:09Speaker 2: taken from you and you're screwed as a result of
- 1:36:14Speaker 2: all of that? I mean, just think about it. It
- 1:36:17Speaker 2: would be better off in your pocket for you to
- 1:36:20Speaker 2: spend as opposed to the fraud that you'll see going
- 1:36:24Speaker 2: on on all these levels. It's very sad.
- 1:36:28Speaker 26: Yeah, I mean, they're just taking it out of the country, too.
- 1:36:31Speaker 26: I'm serious about we have a money leak. Like, you know,
- 1:36:37Speaker 26: it's a ship and it's leaking.
- 1:36:39Speaker 2: It's like no one cares because it's your tax dollars.
- 1:36:44Speaker 2: That's the problem. That's the problem. How do they all
- 1:36:49Speaker 2: get rich, Ron?
- 1:36:52Speaker 7: Really?
- 1:36:52Speaker 2: Well, I don't know. You answer that for me. How
- 1:36:54Speaker 2: do two hillbillies from Arkansas, when they leave the presidency,
- 1:36:58Speaker 2: become filthy, stinking rich? The Clintons. How does a community
- 1:37:01Speaker 2: organizer from Chicago become filthy, stinking rich when he leaves office?
- 1:37:07Speaker 2: I mean, I understand why Trump's wealthy, because he went
- 1:37:09Speaker 2: into office wealthy. How did Joe Biden become so wealthy
- 1:37:12Speaker 2: when his whole life he was just a Joe public servant?
- 1:37:16Speaker 2: How did he become so wealthy? You answer that question
- 1:37:19Speaker 2: for me. How does that happen?
- 1:37:21Speaker 7: Yes.
- 1:37:21Speaker 6: And all of Congress.
- 1:37:23Speaker 2: Yeah, Nancy Pelosi. And the rest of them with the
- 1:37:27Speaker 2: insider trading.
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: Yeah, everybody.
- 1:37:30Speaker 6: I mean, it's just amazing.
- 1:37:33Speaker 26: That's why I said it's so hard to sit and
- 1:37:35Speaker 26: listen to any talk that doesn't say, you know, arrest
- 1:37:42Speaker 26: these people, stop it, whatever it has to do, now. Like,
- 1:37:47Speaker 26: not now. some innocuous year after I die or now.
- 1:37:52Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, not the typical in five years from now,
- 1:37:56Speaker 2: which is the next term and all that kind of stuff.
- 1:37:58Speaker 2: I'm with you on that.
- 1:37:59Speaker 26: Yeah, you know what I mean?
- 1:38:01Speaker 2: Here's my question for your great insight, the guru of Gerard.
- 1:38:05Speaker 2: That's you, the guru of Gerard. Here's my question. Give
- 1:38:09Speaker 2: me your assessment. What are your thoughts about the situation
- 1:38:14Speaker 2: going on in Iran right now?
- 1:38:21Speaker 26: Look, I have the Roman philosophy on war. Avoid war
- 1:38:29Speaker 26: at all costs.
- 1:38:30Speaker 11: Costs.
- 1:38:31Speaker 26: But if you're going to go to war, total destruction,
- 1:38:35Speaker 26: whatever it takes to win the war. Because you started
- 1:38:38Speaker 26: a war. It's a war. So either fight it or
- 1:38:44Speaker 26: get the hell out. Because if you don't, this happens.
- 1:38:50Speaker 2: And when you say this happens, you mean this of
- 1:38:52Speaker 2: what we're watching right now?
- 1:38:55Speaker 26: Yeah, you know, I mean, I think he talks way
- 1:39:00Speaker 26: too much about it. It's like about what he is,
- 1:39:04Speaker 26: how he's in charge of him. I think he talks
- 1:39:08Speaker 26: way too.
- 1:39:09Speaker 6: Much about it.
- 1:39:10Speaker 26: I'm not saying that he didn't initially do a good job,
- 1:39:15Speaker 26: and he's done a lot of things that I appreciate,
- 1:39:18Speaker 26: but on the war, I mean... Dude, you just got
- 1:39:21Speaker 26: to shut up and do your thing.
- 1:39:24Speaker 2: Stand by. Just stand by. Stand by. I'll pick up
- 1:39:27Speaker 2: my conversation with Michael. And more of your calls. We're
- 1:39:30Speaker 2: here until 630 tonight. Ron Ferb, NewsRadio 570. WKVN on
- 1:39:33Speaker 2: a Friday afternoon. NewsRadio 570. WKVN. WKVN. All right. So
- 1:39:41Speaker 2: let me back up. Do you think this situation, he
- 1:39:45Speaker 2: should have got into this mess in the first place?
- 1:39:47Speaker 2: Yes or no?
- 1:39:49Speaker 4: No.
- 1:39:49Speaker 3: No.
- 1:39:50Speaker 2: All right, so you think it was a mistake from
- 1:39:51Speaker 2: the beginning. So now give me your assessment as to
- 1:39:54Speaker 2: where it is right now and what you think is,
- 1:39:59Speaker 2: where are we now?
- 1:40:02Speaker 26: Well, I think we need to end it violently because
- 1:40:09Speaker 26: this is, now we're getting in the same thing that
- 1:40:11Speaker 26: happened in Afghanistan. Oh, come in, you know, guns blazing,
- 1:40:14Speaker 26: doing good.
- 1:40:15Speaker 8: Oh, now we're really going to.
- 1:40:16Speaker 26: Have to kill someone. Oh, okay, so let's wait for
- 1:40:19Speaker 26: 20 years and spend... $ 20 trillion and play a political war.
- 1:40:25Speaker 26: Same thing we did in Vietnam. Like I said, the Romans,
- 1:40:34Speaker 26: they avoided war. They came in and said, we want
- 1:40:37Speaker 26: to run the place. You said no, they go, okay,
- 1:40:40Speaker 26: then we're going to kill everyone. And they would, and
- 1:40:44Speaker 26: they had the power to do it, and they did it,
- 1:40:45Speaker 26: and it was bad, but then they walked in the
- 1:40:47Speaker 26: next place, they go, we want to run the place.
- 1:40:49Speaker 6: They go, okay.
- 1:40:52Speaker 7: And I don't know.
- 1:40:54Speaker 26: Remember, you asked me when I started, do I think
- 1:40:57Speaker 26: we even should have been there? No. I don't think that...
- 1:41:01Speaker 26: I'm not a big Israel fan of their foreign policy
- 1:41:05Speaker 26: and their war policies. And I think they get involved
- 1:41:09Speaker 26: in way too much U.S.
- 1:41:11Speaker 6: Stuff.
- 1:41:11Speaker 26: So that's me. I said that way earlier. But now
- 1:41:17Speaker 26: we're here for whatever reason. The milk already spilled, so...
- 1:41:22Speaker 26: Are you going to clean it up, or are you
- 1:41:24Speaker 26: just going to let it fester? Because, Ron, you know,
- 1:41:29Speaker 26: I don't drive anywhere right now. I get, like, cans
- 1:41:33Speaker 26: of soup and peanut butter sandwiches for lunch. You know,
- 1:41:37Speaker 26: just because I don't know what's coming next. And if
- 1:41:42Speaker 26: that's me doing that, you know me. I mean, I've
- 1:41:44Speaker 26: done pretty good. Imagine what other people are doing, how
- 1:41:47Speaker 26: they're contracting out of the economy, how dangerous that's going
- 1:41:51Speaker 26: to be to everything.
- 1:41:52Speaker 18: Mm-hmm.
- 1:41:56Speaker 2: I agree.
- 1:41:58Speaker 8: Go ahead.
- 1:41:58Speaker 2: I'm listening.
- 1:42:00Speaker 26: Well, you know, he said, that's all I'm thinking about
- 1:42:02Speaker 26: is the atomic bomb.
- 1:42:04Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:42:04Speaker 26: Atomic bomb in Iran.
- 1:42:05Speaker 6: Okay. Donald, then do it.
- 1:42:07Speaker 26: Don't come back and tell.
- 1:42:08Speaker 14: Me what an amazing deal we had. And I'm not
- 1:42:12Speaker 14: sure who I'm talking to. And then they take over ships.
- 1:42:14Speaker 14: You know, there was no Navy and they took over
- 1:42:17Speaker 14: a ship. What'd they do that with?
- 1:42:20Speaker 7: Dinghies?
- 1:42:23Speaker 6: Like, You know what I mean?
- 1:42:24Speaker 26: Just shut up and play war or come home.
- 1:42:32Speaker 1: That's the way I feel.
- 1:42:33Speaker 2: Thanks for it. Appreciate it, Michael. Appreciate your insights. Guru
- 1:42:38Speaker 2: from Gerard. You're on the air. Wait a minute.
- 1:42:40Speaker 8: Wait a minute.
- 1:42:40Speaker 2: Let me do this. There we go. I've got to
- 1:42:44Speaker 2: do this the right way. All right. You're on the air.
- 1:42:46Speaker 11: Are you there?
- 1:42:47Speaker 19: Yes.
- 1:42:48Speaker 26: Okay.
- 1:42:50Speaker 11: First thing I can tell you that you were talking
- 1:42:54Speaker 11: about COVID earlier. I know somebody that worked in with
- 1:43:00Speaker 11: a mortician and those big clots that they were finding
- 1:43:04Speaker 11: in people. Yes. That is true. Absolutely true. I have
- 1:43:09Speaker 11: no doubt in my mind this person would never lie
- 1:43:12Speaker 11: to me. They told me yes because I specifically asked them.
- 1:43:16Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:43:18Speaker 11: The second thing is um... the democrats don't care about
- 1:43:23Speaker 11: all the people with are feeding the children you know
- 1:43:28Speaker 11: helping you know legal and everything that back the only
- 1:43:32Speaker 11: come from their ticket because of this and fed and
- 1:43:36Speaker 11: their account for congress so they get more congress coverage
- 1:43:41Speaker 11: if they have illegal county even if they don't vote
- 1:43:46Speaker 11: okay you know I was listening to a couple things. Oh,
- 1:43:51Speaker 11: the other thing is the liberals always, always, always bring
- 1:43:56Speaker 11: up Donald Trump and the Epstein files. And I can
- 1:44:01Speaker 11: tell you right now, Trump never did anything in that direction.
- 1:44:07Speaker 11: And the reason why you can say that he never
- 1:44:10Speaker 11: did is because if it was there... They would have
- 1:44:14Speaker 11: found it. They would have used it years ago.
- 1:44:18Speaker 1: They would have had it all over.
- 1:44:20Speaker 11: The news stations and everything. They keep saying it, but
- 1:44:25Speaker 11: it's a big fat lie. It's one of those Nancy
- 1:44:27Speaker 11: Pelosi things. Tell the lie often enough. Get it into
- 1:44:31Speaker 11: the media. They'll believe it's true. So they just need
- 1:44:34Speaker 11: to shut up about Trump and the Epstein files because,
- 1:44:38Speaker 11: you know, it doesn't even make any sense.
- 1:44:41Speaker 2: Do you think, though, do you think The focus should
- 1:44:44Speaker 2: be about the victims of this and that anybody that
- 1:44:49Speaker 2: participated in it, whether Republican or Democrat, should be brought
- 1:44:53Speaker 2: to justice.
- 1:44:54Speaker 11: Absolutely. Absolutely. But, you know, they sat on it for
- 1:44:59Speaker 11: four years when Biden was in office. They never did
- 1:45:01Speaker 11: a thing about it. And the only thing that they
- 1:45:04Speaker 11: will say when they talk about the Epstein file is
- 1:45:08Speaker 11: Trump's not putting anything out because there's something there on him.
- 1:45:13Speaker 11: which is absolute crap, like I said, because if they
- 1:45:17Speaker 11: had it, oh, my God, they'd have been shouting from
- 1:45:20Speaker 11: the mountains years ago. You know what I mean? So, but, yeah,
- 1:45:24Speaker 11: I believe, you know, sure. You know, and there's a
- 1:45:27Speaker 11: lot of powerful men, and it's both the Republicans and
- 1:45:31Speaker 11: the Democrats. There's a lot of powerful men that don't
- 1:45:34Speaker 11: want that to come to light because they're there.
- 1:45:36Speaker 26: Right.
- 1:45:37Speaker 5: See?
- 1:45:38Speaker 11: So, you know, they're fighting it every step of the way,
- 1:45:41Speaker 11: I'm sure, you know.
- 1:45:43Speaker 2: I agree, and that's not right. I mean, it's pretty
- 1:45:47Speaker 2: creepy that you're a grown man and you want to
- 1:45:50Speaker 2: engage in sex with a 14- or 13-year-old girl. I
- 1:45:56Speaker 2: don't care if you're Prince Andrew or if you're Bill
- 1:45:58Speaker 2: Gates or you're Bill Clinton or you're Howard Lutnick or
- 1:46:01Speaker 2: any of the people whose names are out there, not
- 1:46:04Speaker 2: saying they did or they didn't, but it certainly should
- 1:46:06Speaker 2: be looked into. And if you did, then you should
- 1:46:09Speaker 2: certainly be prosecuted for it. and held accountable for it.
- 1:46:15Speaker 2: But the problem with the whole Epstein thing is it
- 1:46:18Speaker 2: seems like people are upset, and justly so, that there's
- 1:46:20Speaker 2: a double standard of justice. I mean, the criticism of
- 1:46:24Speaker 2: Trump is Trump kind of reversed himself on what he
- 1:46:26Speaker 2: said he would do when he was running, and ultimately,
- 1:46:30Speaker 2: for whatever reason, he seemed to reverse himself very quickly
- 1:46:33Speaker 2: by saying, oh, you're worried about that? That's old news.
- 1:46:37Speaker 2: I find that very troubling that he did that. Just
- 1:46:41Speaker 2: as I think he reversed himself on a situation going
- 1:46:44Speaker 2: on with Iran because he said, we don't want to
- 1:46:46Speaker 2: get involved in foreign entanglements and regime change wars in
- 1:46:50Speaker 2: the Middle East. And all of a sudden he changed
- 1:46:53Speaker 2: that philosophy that he ran on very quickly. Now, many
- 1:46:57Speaker 2: people think it's maybe in both these cases that these
- 1:47:02Speaker 2: decisions were influenced by Netanyahu.
- 1:47:07Speaker 11: I don't think it was influenced by Netanyahu. I think
- 1:47:09Speaker 11: it was influenced by Trump is getting told things that
- 1:47:13Speaker 11: we have no clue about. And if Iran is so
- 1:47:19Speaker 11: close to having a nuclear weapon, then I think if
- 1:47:23Speaker 11: Trump knows that, he doesn't want to alarm people. But
- 1:47:27Speaker 11: he has been told, and so he knows there's no
- 1:47:32Speaker 11: waiting now. The other thing is everybody says, well, he's
- 1:47:35Speaker 11: given in, he's given in, he keeps putting the data.
- 1:47:38Speaker 11: That man is not dumb. He's gathering information. If they
- 1:47:44Speaker 11: have weapons that are still there, what he's doing is
- 1:47:48Speaker 11: he's got people figuring it out by watching them and
- 1:47:52Speaker 11: seeing what's going on. And if they start up again,
- 1:47:57Speaker 11: he's going to go in and just like he did
- 1:47:59Speaker 11: the first time, all their... Bombs and munitions and stuff,
- 1:48:04Speaker 11: it's going to be wiped out. He's not stupid, you know.
- 1:48:08Speaker 11: People think he is, but he's not. He plays chess.
- 1:48:10Speaker 11: He doesn't play checkers.
- 1:48:12Speaker 2: All right. I got you. Thank you for your call.
- 1:48:15Speaker 2: Appreciate it. NewsRadio 570. Before I take my next call.
- 1:48:20Speaker 2: I find this interesting. I pass it along to you.
- 1:48:22Speaker 2: After Angelo Craig failed to pay a $ 620 property tax bill,
- 1:48:28Speaker 2: Cuyahoga County officials began the legal process of seizing his house.
- 1:48:33Speaker 2: The same was true when Angela Taylor owed $ 4, 655 to
- 1:48:38Speaker 2: against her house in Shaker Heights, and Abraham David, $ 3, 384
- 1:48:43Speaker 2: debt in Cleveland, court records show. The county eventually won
- 1:48:48Speaker 2: title to all three homes via legal action in county court. Remember,
- 1:48:52Speaker 2: as I said, if you fall behind paying your property taxes,
- 1:48:57Speaker 2: and these aren't huge amounts, the county can take your
- 1:49:00Speaker 2: house from you. You might have lost your job. You
- 1:49:02Speaker 2: might have gotten sick. And as they continue to have
- 1:49:06Speaker 2: these property taxes escalate, it's very troubling. So anyway, this
- 1:49:10Speaker 2: is leading to a class action lawsuit against the county
- 1:49:13Speaker 2: treasurer's office claiming the county unconstitutionally took their money. They
- 1:49:18Speaker 2: aren't challenging the foreclosure themselves. Rather, they say the county
- 1:49:22Speaker 2: won title to houses that are worth more than the
- 1:49:24Speaker 2: tax debt, yet the ex-homeowners aren't being compensated. The Ohio
- 1:49:29Speaker 2: Supreme Court on Tuesday agreed to take up their challenges
- 1:49:33Speaker 2: and meaning arguments about a hot-button political issue of property
- 1:49:37Speaker 2: taxes could come before the court in an election year.
- 1:49:40Speaker 2: This practice of taking surplus equity violates both the takings
- 1:49:45Speaker 2: clause and the excessive fines clause of the Ohio Constitution.
- 1:49:50Speaker 2: Those are the words of Ben Flower, an attorney for
- 1:49:52Speaker 2: the plaintiffs and a former solicitor general for Ohio Attorney General.
- 1:49:57Speaker 2: Yet this unconstitutional and unconscionable practice is widespread in Ohio.
- 1:50:03Speaker 2: And courts, including the 8th District below, allowed it to persist.
- 1:50:08Speaker 2: State law allows counties to foreclose on homeowners who fail
- 1:50:11Speaker 2: to pay their property taxes. From there, they can auction
- 1:50:14Speaker 2: the houses, take the money they're owed, and pass on
- 1:50:18Speaker 2: any surplus. But in all three plaintiffs' cases, the house
- 1:50:22Speaker 2: didn't sell. The auctions... cash only affairs failed to clear
- 1:50:28Speaker 2: the modest legal minimum sale amounts of between 12,000 and 27,000.
- 1:50:34Speaker 2: A County spokesperson denied to comment on pending litigation or
- 1:50:39Speaker 2: provide data on the County's home foreclosure practice. The plaintiffs
- 1:50:43Speaker 2: say the County has seized thousands of homes in this fashion.
- 1:50:47Speaker 2: Property records show that, uh, Craig of Cleveland bought the
- 1:50:52Speaker 2: house for $ 5, 500 in August 2021. The average sale price
- 1:50:57Speaker 2: that year was $ 155, 000. County officials by that point had
- 1:51:02Speaker 2: already filed a case in Cuyahoga County Court of Common
- 1:51:05Speaker 2: Pleas to foreclose on the property. The plaintiffs filed their
- 1:51:08Speaker 2: lawsuit June 2024. They lost in trial court and again
- 1:51:12Speaker 2: at the 8th District Court of Appeals. From here, justices
- 1:51:15Speaker 2: will determine the timing of written and oral arguments before
- 1:51:19Speaker 2: making a ruling. So there you go. I mean, you know,
- 1:51:21Speaker 2: so these people's homes were taken from them, as they say,
- 1:51:24Speaker 2: because of property taxes for small amounts. And then they
- 1:51:29Speaker 2: lost everything. Interesting. All right. Onward we go. You're on
- 1:51:35Speaker 2: the air.
- 1:51:35Speaker 7: Hello.
- 1:51:37Speaker 11: Ronnie.
- 1:51:38Speaker 2: Vince, go ahead.
- 1:51:41Speaker 6: Ronnie, can I give a shout out today?
- 1:51:45Speaker 2: Yeah, what do you want?
- 1:51:46Speaker 5: A shout-out.
- 1:51:46Speaker 2: Yeah, you want a long-distance dedication? I mean, what am I,
- 1:51:49Speaker 2: turning into Casey Kasem? You want a long-distance dedication?
- 1:51:53Speaker 1: It's a shout-out, locally.
- 1:51:54Speaker 8: All right.
- 1:51:55Speaker 3: Thank you, thank you, thank you to the Austintown trustees.
- 1:52:00Speaker 3: In 32 years living at this street, you know where
- 1:52:03Speaker 3: we live, Ronnie, first time the street's been paved. 32 years,
- 1:52:10Speaker 3: all my Austintown taxes, finally our street got paid.
- 1:52:14Speaker 2: Well, I'm going to tell you something. If you want
- 1:52:17Speaker 2: to give a shout-out, give a shout-out to Pat Giannetti
- 1:52:20Speaker 2: because of that quarter percent sales tax is where a
- 1:52:22Speaker 2: lot of this paving money is coming from to be
- 1:52:25Speaker 2: able to do streets in the township.
- 1:52:29Speaker 3: Pat's a good guy. I'll vote for him two or
- 1:52:31Speaker 3: three times.
- 1:52:32Speaker 2: Well, luckily, that sales tax was renewed. It's an important tax.
- 1:52:37Speaker 2: And I'm glad your street got paved before you departed Earth.
- 1:52:47Speaker 3: I was going to say something nice. Now you can
- 1:52:48Speaker 3: get your truck in and off the street without avoiding
- 1:52:53Speaker 3: the truck holding.
- 1:52:55Speaker 2: There you go.
- 1:52:56Speaker 3: I'll retract that statement.
- 1:52:58Speaker 2: Well, I'm just making an observation. You're not a spring
- 1:53:01Speaker 2: chicken anymore.
- 1:53:03Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 1:53:04Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 1:53:06Speaker 3: But the other thing, Ronnie, has Dick from Dayton, has
- 1:53:10Speaker 3: he made that hopeful not call today? Please, Dick, if
- 1:53:14Speaker 3: you're listening.
- 1:53:15Speaker 2: He made it.
- 1:53:16Speaker 3: Play your banjo.
- 1:53:17Speaker 2: He made it.
- 1:53:17Speaker 1: Play your harp.
- 1:53:19Speaker 2: He made it. He made the call.
- 1:53:21Speaker 3: Stomp your leg.
- 1:53:22Speaker 2: He made the call. Did he call? Yes.
- 1:53:25Speaker 4: No.
- 1:53:26Speaker 2: Why? Do you think it jinxes the Cavs because he called?
- 1:53:30Speaker 11: Yes.
- 1:53:32Speaker 2: So you think Dick from Dayton is a jinx?
- 1:53:37Speaker 3: I truly do. Now I'm going to have to call
- 1:53:39Speaker 3: Mickey the bookie and change my bet. We were going
- 1:53:43Speaker 3: to go with the Cavaliers tonight.
- 1:53:47Speaker 7: You know what, Ronnie?
- 1:53:48Speaker 3: I'm going with them. No matter Dick from Dayton, you
- 1:53:52Speaker 3: put the Malookie on us. But anyhow, let's go the
- 1:53:57Speaker 3: other way, and we're going to go with the Cavs
- 1:53:58Speaker 3: today because I'm dressed in Cavalier colors.
- 1:54:01Speaker 2: And I bet they make your eyes gold and white.
- 1:54:03Speaker 2: I bet it makes your eyes pop.
- 1:54:07Speaker 24: My one good eye?
- 1:54:08Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, that was the one that you aimed that
- 1:54:14Speaker 2: rifle at.
- 1:54:16Speaker 3: Yeah, the one I aimed that rifle at, yes.
- 1:54:18Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:54:19Speaker 3: Anyhow, Ronnie, the other thing, too, you know, with all
- 1:54:22Speaker 3: this abundance of, what do we call it down in Columbus,
- 1:54:26Speaker 3: the rainy day funding?
- 1:54:27Speaker 25: Yes, yes.
- 1:54:28Speaker 3: Multitudes and multitudes of money. I got a great idea
- 1:54:32Speaker 3: for your more intelligent callers out there. No, don't call
- 1:54:35Speaker 3: in the guy from Warren, please. You don't fit that category.
- 1:54:39Speaker 3: But anyhow, couldn't the governor and some of his posse
- 1:54:45Speaker 3: down there say, hey, let's reduce the taxpayer's property tax.
- 1:54:51Speaker 3: We're going to divert some of this $ 2 billion into each.
- 1:54:56Speaker 7: How many counties are there, Ronnie?
- 1:54:58Speaker 3: No, there's 88. Maybe divert some of that bountiful money
- 1:55:03Speaker 3: to the counties to relieve the taxes that we have
- 1:55:07Speaker 3: to pay.
- 1:55:09Speaker 2: Right. You're talking about the Somalian fraud. Well, listen, have
- 1:55:15Speaker 2: I announced that I've just recently opened Ron's Hospice Care,
- 1:55:20Speaker 2: Ron's Learing Center. and Ron's Transportation Center. I mean, I
- 1:55:25Speaker 2: figure if the Somalis can do it and get away
- 1:55:27Speaker 2: with it in Ohio, why can't I? Forget giving me
- 1:55:31Speaker 2: any relief on my taxes. I mean, Ron's Learing Center
- 1:55:36Speaker 2: is now open and Ron's Hospice Care. If you need anything, well,
- 1:55:40Speaker 2: we just take the money. We don't really provide any services.
- 1:55:43Speaker 2: You understand?
- 1:55:45Speaker 19: Yes.
- 1:55:46Speaker 3: You know what I don't understand? You know, I know
- 1:55:50Speaker 3: you get out and about, but you mainly stay in
- 1:55:52Speaker 3: the township and everything. You don't get out into the
- 1:55:55Speaker 3: inner city. You don't get out to the hinterlands and
- 1:55:57Speaker 3: stuff like that. But what I always couldn't understand, these
- 1:56:01Speaker 3: kids that drop out of high school, we'll use the
- 1:56:05Speaker 3: present East High School. You're in high school. You drop
- 1:56:08Speaker 3: out for whatever reason. And then the most crowded parking
- 1:56:11Speaker 3: lot when I go up 422 is that, not vocational school,
- 1:56:18Speaker 3: but that school that gives out the GEDs. You got
- 1:56:21Speaker 3: to pay to go to that school. You had free
- 1:56:24Speaker 3: education at the other school. Sometimes I just don't know
- 1:56:28Speaker 3: if these kids realize that you drop out and then
- 1:56:32Speaker 3: you scurry, get into one of these places to give
- 1:56:34Speaker 3: you the GED. GED, you're not, you know, obviously you're
- 1:56:40Speaker 3: not thinking with that part of the brain that gives
- 1:56:43Speaker 3: you the intelligence.
- 1:56:46Speaker 2: But remember this, Ron's Learing Center will give you that
- 1:56:49Speaker 2: GED for half the cost of what the other place is,
- 1:56:52Speaker 2: and you'll be done in no time.
- 1:56:55Speaker 3: That's why when all those guys said, no, let's not
- 1:56:59Speaker 3: hire him, old man William Winston said, hey, I think
- 1:57:02Speaker 3: this kid got a chance in radio. We'll take a
- 1:57:05Speaker 3: chance on this young upstart from over there from– Medina.
- 1:57:10Speaker 3: We'll give them a chance. We'll give them a chance
- 1:57:12Speaker 3: on the radio. Didn't you have to go in front
- 1:57:16Speaker 3: of the old man if he liked you? If you
- 1:57:18Speaker 3: think you had a cut in your jib, if you
- 1:57:21Speaker 3: looked good, he hired you.
- 1:57:23Speaker 6: If not, we'll see.
- 1:57:24Speaker 1: We'll give you a call.
- 1:57:25Speaker 3: Good luck.
- 1:57:27Speaker 2: Listen, it's going to be celebrating a 100-year anniversary of
- 1:57:30Speaker 2: WKBN Radio coming up later this year. And I want
- 1:57:33Speaker 2: you to think about this. I've been on it for
- 1:57:35Speaker 2: 41 years. Almost. Up to 100. Up to 100, yeah.
- 1:57:43Speaker 2: So that's a lot of years, isn't it? All right.
- 1:57:46Speaker 6: All right, we'll see you, bud. Thanks.
- 1:57:49Speaker 2: News Radio 570, WKBN and Ron Verb. We'll pause here.
- 1:57:53Speaker 2: It's 5.52 with you until 6.30 tonight. The Guardians pregame
- 1:57:59Speaker 2: around 6.35, and we take on the Reds with first
- 1:58:03Speaker 2: pitch a little after 7, so we'll keep it right here.
- 1:58:06Speaker 2: Back in a minute. 570 WKBN. Let me get some
- 1:58:11Speaker 2: calls on. I think G2' s standing by. I want to
- 1:58:13Speaker 2: look at my phone board, too. We want to get
- 1:58:15Speaker 2: him on, but first, you're on the air.
- 1:58:19Speaker 12: Hey, Ron, how are you?
- 1:58:21Speaker 3: Good.
- 1:58:21Speaker 2: Go ahead, please.
- 1:58:23Speaker 7: Good.
- 1:58:23Speaker 12: Hey, first, real quick, who is the guy who said
- 1:58:26Speaker 12: to text Dane Davis?
- 1:58:29Speaker 2: Alec, which I did, and he potentially will be on
- 1:58:33Speaker 2: maybe next Friday. Yeah, Alec.
- 1:58:37Speaker 12: He's one of the reasons why I started listening to
- 1:58:39Speaker 12: your show. He's a brilliant guy. I think his points
- 1:58:41Speaker 12: are fantastic.
- 1:58:43Speaker 2: He's smart.
- 1:58:43Speaker 12: Thank you for having him on. Moving on, though, the
- 1:58:47Speaker 12: guy who just was on the show talking about, he
- 1:58:50Speaker 12: said that we shouldn't have started the war with Iran,
- 1:58:54Speaker 12: but now we should finish it violently. What are your
- 1:58:57Speaker 12: thoughts about that?
- 1:58:59Speaker 2: I think when we get involved in conflicts, there's a
- 1:59:01Speaker 2: reason why we don't win. We have made it difficult
- 1:59:06Speaker 2: to win wars with all the rules that are there.
- 1:59:09Speaker 2: I don't know if today we would have the political courage.
- 1:59:13Speaker 2: I mean, it was the atomic bombs that brought Japan
- 1:59:16Speaker 2: to surrender, and many people, innocent people, died as a
- 1:59:22Speaker 2: result of it. But that's what it took to save
- 1:59:23Speaker 2: American lives. So in general, I agree.
- 1:59:29Speaker 12: I think it's ironic that he said in the end
- 1:59:31Speaker 12: about something about Netanyahu and Israel controlling American policy. But
- 1:59:34Speaker 12: in the same sentence, I would probably bet that that
- 1:59:37Speaker 12: guy would blame Israel for what they're doing in Gaza
- 1:59:40Speaker 12: and Lebanon, fighting Hamas and Hezbollah. You know, the party
- 1:59:44Speaker 12: line is they need to show restraint, civilian casualties. But
- 1:59:48Speaker 12: at the same time, he's saying, well, now that we
- 1:59:50Speaker 12: started a war with Iran, it has to end violently.
- 1:59:54Speaker 12: So that's just funny. His argument is internally inconsistent because
- 1:59:59Speaker 12: you can't claim that you shouldn't have got into it,
- 2:00:01Speaker 12: but then now we need to end it violently, which
- 2:00:04Speaker 12: presumably I think that he would say that we should
- 2:00:09Speaker 12: continue the 1979 policy of sanctions, diplomacy, and containment, which
- 2:00:13Speaker 12: just hasn't worked. Iran has been holding the world hostage
- 2:00:16Speaker 12: via the Strait of Hormuz for the last 47 years. So,
- 2:00:20Speaker 12: I mean, his arguments are just completely inconsistent.
- 2:00:23Speaker 6: Absolutely.
- 2:00:23Speaker 2: Well, that's all well and good. But I mean, I
- 2:00:25Speaker 2: agree with his point. There's a reason why we haven't
- 2:00:28Speaker 2: won because we have too many rules put down. I mean,
- 2:00:31Speaker 2: when you get involved in things, I think his main
- 2:00:33Speaker 2: point was then he didn't agree with it and he
- 2:00:36Speaker 2: doesn't agree with it. But it doesn't matter. It's already underway.
- 2:00:40Speaker 2: And he thinks now you have to do what you
- 2:00:43Speaker 2: have to do to be successful in the outcome of it.
- 2:00:47Speaker 2: And I don't know that we have the political courage
- 2:00:49Speaker 2: that we had that we saw in World War II
- 2:00:51Speaker 2: to save American lives.
- 2:00:54Speaker 12: Amen, amen.
- 2:00:56Speaker 7: I completely agree with that.
- 2:01:00Speaker 12: The other thing about Iran that I think we missed
- 2:01:03Speaker 12: is that the Shah, which was a Western-backed leader of
- 2:01:11Speaker 12: Iran who was very Western-friendly, he was overthrown by an
- 2:01:18Speaker 12: Islamic revolution that was popular by the people of Iran.
- 2:01:23Speaker 7: Right.
- 2:01:24Speaker 12: And the people of Iran overthrew him. And so nowadays
- 2:01:29Speaker 12: we hear a lot about, oh, the Iranian people aren't
- 2:01:32Speaker 12: a fan or don't support the Islamic regime. We need
- 2:01:35Speaker 12: the Iranian people to overthrow them. You know, they're the
- 2:01:38Speaker 12: exact same people, maybe their children, who overthrew the Western-backed government.
- 2:01:43Speaker 12: They chose that Islamist government that took over the Ayatollah.
- 2:01:48Speaker 12: So this idea that the... And also, we know from
- 2:01:52Speaker 12: history that... If the people revolt and there's a revolution,
- 2:01:57Speaker 12: the power.
- 2:01:58Speaker 24: Is with the people.
- 2:01:58Speaker 12: The people always win, and they haven't won in Iran.
- 2:02:02Speaker 12: And so it makes you question, really, how many of
- 2:02:05Speaker 12: these people and what's– it's so hard to know what's propaganda.
- 2:02:08Speaker 2: And what's really happening on the ground there.
- 2:02:10Speaker 7: That is correct.
- 2:02:10Speaker 2: How many actually would do that, and it's hard to
- 2:02:14Speaker 2: launch that when you have no weapons. Appreciate your call.
- 2:02:16Speaker 2: I'll be back in a minute.
- 2:02:21Speaker 10: From ABC News. I'm Mike Dabusky. President Trump is about
- 2:02:26Speaker 10: to return to the White House after his trip to
- 2:02:28Speaker 10: China and his summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping this week.
- 2:02:32Speaker 10: ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent Mary Bruce.
- 2:02:34Speaker 29: Questions remain about what progress was made here. The president
- 2:02:38Speaker 29: came to Beijing hoping to convince Xi to use his
- 2:02:41Speaker 29: influence over Iran, one of China's closest allies, to open
- 2:02:46Speaker 29: the Strait of Hormuz.
- 2:02:47Speaker 8: We did discuss Iran.
- 2:02:49Speaker 2: We feel very similar to Iran. We want that to end.
- 2:02:53Speaker 29: But it's unclear if she agreed to pressure Iran.
- 2:02:56Speaker 10: The conflict in the Middle East is continuing to put
- 2:02:59Speaker 10: a strain on prices here at home, with global oil
- 2:03:01Speaker 10: prices closing the week up 3% on worries about a
- 2:03:04Speaker 10: prolonged market shock if the strait remains shut down. Celia
- 2:03:08Speaker 10: Monreal is a mother of five in Tyler, Texas, and
- 2:03:11Speaker 10: says she's feeling the pinch at the pump and at
- 2:03:13Speaker 10: the grocery store.
- 2:03:14Speaker 29: I guess the way that he sold, that he was
- 2:03:17Speaker 29: going to better the economy. I voted for Donald Trump,
- 2:03:22Speaker 29: which I regret doing, which a lot of people regret doing.
- 2:03:26Speaker 10: The CDC now says all the Americans who were on
- 2:03:28Speaker 10: board that Dutch cruise ship that saw the hantavirus outbreak
- 2:03:31Speaker 10: in recent weeks are now all being held at the
- 2:03:34Speaker 10: National Quarantine Unit in Nebraska. Two were transferred from Georgia today.
- 2:03:38Speaker 10: ABC News medical contributor Dr. Alok Patel says none of
- 2:03:41Speaker 10: the Americans are symptomatic, but a French woman is now
- 2:03:44Speaker 10: in critical condition in the hospital.
- 2:03:46Speaker 23: A hantavirus can affect your heart, your lungs, and your kidneys.
- 2:03:49Speaker 23: So treatment may involve mechanical ventilation, artificial bypass machines to
- 2:03:54Speaker 23: protect the lungs and the heart. That's something called ECMO,
- 2:03:57Speaker 23: which some people may refer to as an artificial lung.
- 2:03:59Speaker 23: That's fluids, that's blood pressure support. That's everything to protect
- 2:04:03Speaker 23: those vital organs.
- 2:04:04Speaker 10: Meanwhile, the CDC also tracking an outbreak of Ebola in
- 2:04:07Speaker 10: the Democratic Republic of Congo. And Colorado Governor Jared Polis
- 2:04:11Speaker 10: has granted clemency to Tina Peters, the former county clerk
- 2:04:14Speaker 10: convicted in an election fraud scheme in 2020. You're listening
- 2:04:17Speaker 10: to ABC News.
- 2:04:21Speaker 2: And back to it, NewsRadio 570, Dodie Kimian, G2, hello.
- 2:04:26Speaker 7: Good evening, Ron, how are you?
- 2:04:28Speaker 2: I am well. What do you make of it all?
- 2:04:32Speaker 2: Let's start with... Some assessments as to the latest happenings.
- 2:04:36Speaker 2: Trump in China. How's the war situation looking? Comments, thoughts, perspective.
- 2:04:44Speaker 7: I think it's going to be interesting to see what
- 2:04:46Speaker 7: comes out of this China trip. And I haven't been
- 2:04:49Speaker 7: studying all the media today, so I don't know what
- 2:04:52Speaker 7: they're saying, what they're lying about, where they're telling the truth.
- 2:04:55Speaker 7: But outside, I heard they were lying about one of
- 2:04:59Speaker 7: the Trump boys, but I don't know what that's about.
- 2:05:02Speaker 7: But the... The reality is that that Chinese economy is
- 2:05:07Speaker 7: heavily dependent upon exports to the United States and Europe.
- 2:05:10Speaker 7: We all know that. It's also heavily dependent upon oil
- 2:05:14Speaker 7: from Iran.
- 2:05:15Speaker 6: We all know that.
- 2:05:17Speaker 7: So here these guys are sitting in a situation where
- 2:05:19Speaker 7: they're dealing with Trump, who has both his finger on
- 2:05:25Speaker 7: their lifeblood from the revenue side, you know, their sales
- 2:05:29Speaker 7: into the United States and virtually everything, that our corporate
- 2:05:32Speaker 7: master is transferred into that country and he's now got
- 2:05:36Speaker 7: his finger on the thumb or on his finger on
- 2:05:39Speaker 7: the flow of oil that that makes that economy work
- 2:05:44Speaker 7: now you mix that into an economy that's you know
- 2:05:46Speaker 7: got some some issues right growth is slowed it's still
- 2:05:50Speaker 7: growing at a healthy rate but it's slowed uh... you
- 2:05:53Speaker 7: know europe's economies are struggling they're in trouble from an
- 2:05:56Speaker 7: energy standpoint and it certainly does not appear that China
- 2:06:03Speaker 7: is a sort of, you know, blood brother ally to
- 2:06:07Speaker 7: the Iranians, as evidenced by the fact that they've done very,
- 2:06:10Speaker 7: very little to help them in this war. Now, again,
- 2:06:13Speaker 7: as we've said before, why would you want, if you're
- 2:06:15Speaker 7: Xi Jinping or anyone in China, why would you want
- 2:06:18Speaker 7: Iran to have a nuclear weapon? No reason. You wouldn't, right?
- 2:06:23Speaker 7: It'd be foolish because, of course, they know what this
- 2:06:27Speaker 7: Iranian regime is, what it's all about. There's no strategic
- 2:06:31Speaker 7: or tactical advantage to China to having these fundamentalist Islamists
- 2:06:36Speaker 7: that control Iran have nuclear weapons. So I think this
- 2:06:40Speaker 7: is one of the most interesting junctures of economics and
- 2:06:45Speaker 7: politics and trade and war and energy that we could
- 2:06:49Speaker 7: possibly have. And I'm anxious to see how this unfolds
- 2:06:52Speaker 7: over the next few weeks. Whatever the words are that
- 2:06:55Speaker 7: are spoken, you know, these kind words about the United States, whatever,
- 2:06:58Speaker 7: I want to see what they do. because i could
- 2:07:01Speaker 7: tell you that if china brings pressure to iran telling
- 2:07:05Speaker 7: them listen you know we also say it's time for
- 2:07:08Speaker 7: you to to stop and remember the the settlement with
- 2:07:12Speaker 7: iran actually costs them nothing if you settle the strait
- 2:07:18Speaker 7: of hormuz is open and you begin to collect your
- 2:07:20Speaker 7: four or five hundred million dollars a day if you
- 2:07:22Speaker 7: settle you won't get a nuclear weapon but you don't
- 2:07:27Speaker 7: have one now you don't give anything up because you
- 2:07:29Speaker 7: don't have one now And if you settle, you get
- 2:07:32Speaker 7: rid of the threat that the world attacks you because
- 2:07:35Speaker 7: they're afraid you're getting a nuclear weapon, which, you know,
- 2:07:38Speaker 7: two-thirds of the world is dedicated to you not having.
- 2:07:41Speaker 7: I mean, it just is a no-brainer for these people
- 2:07:44Speaker 7: to say that's a really good deal for us. Now,
- 2:07:48Speaker 7: that takes away the fundamentalist Islamist thought that their primary
- 2:07:53Speaker 7: goal in life is to destroy the United States and
- 2:07:55Speaker 7: Israel and, you know, be able to conquer, you know, Europe,
- 2:08:00Speaker 7: for example. But they're conquering Europe without having any need
- 2:08:03Speaker 7: of nuclear weapons. And there's another factor, too. Is any
- 2:08:06Speaker 7: of this lack of nuclear weapons stopping Islamists from conquering
- 2:08:10Speaker 7: the West? Well, clearly not. The government of Birmingham, the
- 2:08:15Speaker 7: second largest city in England..
- 2:08:19Speaker 1: Was just.
- 2:08:19Speaker 7: Conquered by Islamists in the last election cycle. They've taken
- 2:08:22Speaker 7: full control of the government of Birmingham. They've had 11
- 2:08:25Speaker 7: years or so with this radical Sadiq Khan running London.
- 2:08:28Speaker 7: So think about that as well. They have no tactical
- 2:08:32Speaker 7: offensive need to have a weapon.
- 2:08:34Speaker 24: To conquer Europe.
- 2:08:36Speaker 7: They could just walk in and, what is his name,
- 2:08:39Speaker 7: Pedro Sanchez or whatever it is, the guy that's running
- 2:08:41Speaker 7: Spain right now, he's their doorman. I mean, that clown,
- 2:08:45Speaker 7: that traitor, That demon is standing there holding the door
- 2:08:48Speaker 7: to Europe open and saying, listen, you know, the Moors
- 2:08:52Speaker 7: couldn't do it in 732, but here's what we're going
- 2:08:54Speaker 7: to do. We're going to not only open the door
- 2:08:56Speaker 7: for you, we're going to write you a check for
- 2:08:58Speaker 7: every soldier you send. And, you know, look, we've got
- 2:09:02Speaker 7: a lot of chicks in this town. You can come
- 2:09:03Speaker 7: and have what you want. You know, these guys are
- 2:09:06Speaker 7: flooding into Europe to conquer it. So they don't need
- 2:09:10Speaker 7: a nuke to do that. So what do they give
- 2:09:14Speaker 7: up if they settle? Well, just the ability to someday
- 2:09:17Speaker 7: sit at the table of nuclear nations.
- 2:09:20Speaker 2: Okay.
- 2:09:21Speaker 7: The last group of people who wanted to do that
- 2:09:23Speaker 7: are now all dead.
- 2:09:25Speaker 17: Right?
- 2:09:25Speaker 7: So I know that there's a lot of turmoil and
- 2:09:28Speaker 7: anarchy inside Iran, and I know we can't see very
- 2:09:31Speaker 7: clearly into Iran. Probably at this point, only Mossad can.
- 2:09:35Speaker 7: And I'm guessing Mossad has pretty good visibility into what's
- 2:09:37Speaker 7: going on in Iran, but they're not going to share
- 2:09:39Speaker 7: it with us unless it helps their political and tactical
- 2:09:42Speaker 7: and and and uh... strategic goal so you know if
- 2:09:45Speaker 7: we're learning from a side true not true that could
- 2:09:48Speaker 7: be whatever they want uh... let's say then that china
- 2:09:53Speaker 7: are realizing that this war could be extended another couple
- 2:09:57Speaker 7: of months and now they're going to be eating into
- 2:09:58Speaker 7: that hundred twenty hundred hundred two hundred twenty eight supply
- 2:10:01Speaker 7: of reserves they have and that their economy's gonna start
- 2:10:05Speaker 7: slow down because europe's not getting the energy it needed
- 2:10:08Speaker 7: in trouble within trouble before I mean, there's a lot
- 2:10:12Speaker 7: of potential pressure to be brought to bear on this.
- 2:10:15Speaker 7: And while I'm not a fan of all these tech
- 2:10:19Speaker 7: weirdos that run these big companies that are creating the
- 2:10:23Speaker 7: digital control grid to monitor our lives and that sell
- 2:10:25Speaker 7: our data around and spy on us every minute of
- 2:10:27Speaker 7: the day, I think it probably was a smart move
- 2:10:30Speaker 7: to take them with him to China so that Trump
- 2:10:33Speaker 7: wasn't sitting there speaking... to China while they wondered if
- 2:10:38Speaker 7: he was in communications with their major employer, you know,
- 2:10:42Speaker 7: the tech industry for the United States that pumps billions
- 2:10:44Speaker 7: and billions of dollars into China every year. But they
- 2:10:47Speaker 7: actually flew over with it. So he's now brought our,
- 2:10:51Speaker 7: you know, these tech nightmares with him. And while it
- 2:10:55Speaker 7: may be a pit of vipers, in the middle of
- 2:10:57Speaker 7: that pit of vipers sits Donald Trump negotiating deals. Now,
- 2:11:03Speaker 7: I think he wants this war over. And I'm not
- 2:11:06Speaker 7: sure who said what earlier, because there's some things I
- 2:11:09Speaker 7: caught and didn't. But I don't see any prospect of
- 2:11:13Speaker 7: him deciding to send soldiers on the ground any more
- 2:11:16Speaker 7: today than we did a week ago or two months ago.
- 2:11:20Speaker 7: But short of deploying U.S. ground forces, they've already inflicted
- 2:11:26Speaker 7: billions and billions of dollars of damage on Iran, destroyed
- 2:11:29Speaker 7: huge elements of its military. not effectively destroying its ground troops.
- 2:11:36Speaker 7: Its ground forces are still in pretty good shape, but
- 2:11:38Speaker 7: really destroying a lot of it. And, you know, you
- 2:11:43Speaker 7: notice they're not nearly as belligerent today as they might
- 2:11:46Speaker 7: otherwise be. So we see a lot of good positive
- 2:11:49Speaker 7: signs in this war. You see Saudi and UAE pumping
- 2:11:54Speaker 7: as much as they can, getting it out to market
- 2:11:56Speaker 7: around the Strait of Hormuz, not through it. The United
- 2:11:59Speaker 7: States reaching crazy levels of unprecedented production. So the energy
- 2:12:04Speaker 7: markets are not as bad as they would otherwise be. It's,
- 2:12:08Speaker 7: what is it now, like a 6 million barrel shortage
- 2:12:11Speaker 7: now out of 105? This is called 6% for round numbers,
- 2:12:15Speaker 7: 7 maybe. That's a big problem in any commodity market,
- 2:12:22Speaker 7: and it's going to cause shortages in some places, but
- 2:12:25Speaker 7: the use of that material will be prioritized into its
- 2:12:28Speaker 7: most critical elements and they are the impact will be
- 2:12:31Speaker 7: minimized out a hundred dollar hundred five hundred ten dollar
- 2:12:34Speaker 7: oil we're not looking at any relief at the pump
- 2:12:38Speaker 7: anytime soon but another another thing i keep hearing that
- 2:12:42Speaker 7: i don't understand is that people keep saying well the
- 2:12:45Speaker 7: price of oil goes up very quickly but if this
- 2:12:48Speaker 7: thing ends and saudi keeps pumping and uae keeps pumping
- 2:12:52Speaker 7: the united states keep pumping russia increasing production now other
- 2:12:56Speaker 7: countries increasing production Somehow that's not going to have an
- 2:12:59Speaker 7: impact on the market. Somehow the prices aren't going to
- 2:13:01Speaker 7: come down. This I don't understand because we've seen the
- 2:13:05Speaker 7: market go down over and over and over again. Yes,
- 2:13:09Speaker 7: there are speculators that have bought cargos at very high numbers.
- 2:13:13Speaker 7: They've got forwards at numbers that will be upside down,
- 2:13:18Speaker 7: you know, as soon as this war ends. But I
- 2:13:20Speaker 7: just don't understand how it is that the world's going
- 2:13:22Speaker 7: to keep pumping all this oil. You open up the
- 2:13:25Speaker 7: strait and all that trapped oil comes available. And somehow
- 2:13:29Speaker 7: prices don't come down. I think they will move down.
- 2:13:32Speaker 7: I think they'll move down with relative haste. And we
- 2:13:35Speaker 7: will see the world's economic engine begin to engage again
- 2:13:39Speaker 7: at a higher level. So that's where I see it.
- 2:13:44Speaker 7: I'm anxious to watch the next few days and weeks
- 2:13:48Speaker 7: and see what China comes up with. What are we
- 2:13:50Speaker 7: now in? Well, we're in week seven, is it, of
- 2:13:52Speaker 7: this war? So it's a pretty short engagement so far.
- 2:13:56Speaker 7: I don't think anybody's anticipating a 20-year engagement or a
- 2:13:59Speaker 7: 10-year engagement or even a five-year engagement. And I don't
- 2:14:03Speaker 7: think Iran can hold out that long because, as I
- 2:14:06Speaker 7: always say, the cost of tyranny is high. And if
- 2:14:10Speaker 7: you're losing $ 400 million to $ 500 million of oil revenue
- 2:14:12Speaker 7: a day, and that's the majority of your exports, you're
- 2:14:15Speaker 7: going to have a hard time maintaining your firm grip
- 2:14:19Speaker 7: on control of your country when there's no money to
- 2:14:22Speaker 7: pay anyone. When fundamental goods... aren't showing up when you've
- 2:14:28Speaker 7: lost a lot of your military positions, where you've had
- 2:14:31Speaker 7: this turnover now, let's call it two rows deep into leadership.
- 2:14:36Speaker 7: That's a heck of a hard position to be in.
- 2:14:39Speaker 7: And I'm glad it's them and not us. So that's
- 2:14:42Speaker 7: kind of where I'm at right now. I'm anxious to
- 2:14:46Speaker 7: stand by and see what comes.
- 2:14:48Speaker 2: Every day's an adventure, G2.
- 2:14:51Speaker 6: It is.
- 2:14:52Speaker 7: We live in an absolutely fascinating time. It'd be nice
- 2:14:55Speaker 7: if the stakes weren't so high. And just to that point, remember,
- 2:15:00Speaker 7: in my view, there's nothing in Iran or China or
- 2:15:03Speaker 7: Russia or even Europe, our greatest threat, that matches the
- 2:15:08Speaker 7: threat we have from our enemies domestic and their attempt
- 2:15:10Speaker 7: to destroy the systems that made this country so great
- 2:15:14Speaker 7: for these 250 years. There is no threat on this earth.
- 2:15:18Speaker 7: as dangerous to the United States and to the American
- 2:15:20Speaker 7: people as these radical leftists, as this bizarre Democrat ideology
- 2:15:27Speaker 7: that they've adopted. You know, I was talking to somebody
- 2:15:29Speaker 7: today about Barbara Jordan, if you remember her. If Barbara Jordan,
- 2:15:34Speaker 7: the famous Democrat, for those that don't remember her, she
- 2:15:36Speaker 7: was from California, I believe, and she did some fantastic
- 2:15:39Speaker 7: speeches on immigration. If Barbara Jordan was alive today, they'd
- 2:15:44Speaker 7: be calling her an alt-right radical. She would be a MAGA,
- 2:15:48Speaker 7: what is that Ted Cole all-time MAGA cult? She'd be
- 2:15:52Speaker 7: in the MAGA cult?
- 2:15:55Speaker 6: I mean, if.
- 2:15:57Speaker 7: Barbara Jordan was reincarnated and showed up today at a
- 2:16:02Speaker 7: Democrat rally, they would kill her. Because, as you know,
- 2:16:05Speaker 7: they're full of hate. So, you know, it's just interesting
- 2:16:10Speaker 7: to see how all this has changed. And again, there
- 2:16:13Speaker 7: is no threat on this earth. to this United States
- 2:16:17Speaker 7: as dangerous as these lunatics inside this nation's borders.
- 2:16:25Speaker 2: The enemy within.
- 2:16:27Speaker 7: The enemy within.
- 2:16:28Speaker 25: Hmm.
- 2:16:31Speaker 7: And they want us divided, right? Race, gender. Who do
- 2:16:34Speaker 7: you want to have sex with? Oh, let's separate you
- 2:16:37Speaker 7: on that. I mean, I know people that are gay
- 2:16:40Speaker 7: that think that Christians want to kill them. And they're
- 2:16:42Speaker 7: totally sincere and they believe it. I mean, they want
- 2:16:45Speaker 7: us divided into as many little pieces as they can because,
- 2:16:48Speaker 7: of course, as we've said before, e pluribus unum turns
- 2:16:52Speaker 7: around to e unum pluribus, right, out of one many,
- 2:16:55Speaker 7: and they know that to destroy the United States, to
- 2:16:59Speaker 7: get control of the carcass that's left, you've got to
- 2:17:03Speaker 7: divide this country's people.
- 2:17:08Speaker 2: And it seems, and bring a bunch of people in.
- 2:17:12Speaker 7: Oh, yeah, you've got to replace them because.
- 2:17:15Speaker 2: I mean, remember when they said the replacement theory was
- 2:17:17Speaker 2: a crazy conspiracy theory? And yet you see it all
- 2:17:21Speaker 2: over the world.
- 2:17:24Speaker 7: And it's in a U.N. document. I mean, I was
- 2:17:29Speaker 7: reading it. The replacement theory is written down and published
- 2:17:36Speaker 7: by the United Nations. It's not a... It's not even
- 2:17:40Speaker 7: a theory. It is a conspiracy, but it is in
- 2:17:43Speaker 7: fact not a theory.
- 2:17:44Speaker 2: Well, look around. You're living it. You see it happening.
- 2:17:47Speaker 2: They're watering down your influence. your citizenship, by bringing others
- 2:17:52Speaker 2: in and changing the dynamics of your community.
- 2:17:58Speaker 7: They wrote it down. They talked about it at conferences,
- 2:18:00Speaker 7: and then they did it. And people say, but why?
- 2:18:03Speaker 7: Why would they want to do this?
- 2:18:05Speaker 2: And that's how you get Ilhan Omar in Congress.
- 2:18:08Speaker 7: Absolutely right. So you put them in concentration in places
- 2:18:12Speaker 7: where they don't have to assimilate so that they can
- 2:18:15Speaker 7: then begin to affect the politics, local, school boards, and national,
- 2:18:21Speaker 7: from those readouts, from the keep inside their castle. So
- 2:18:30Speaker 7: why would they do that? What's so bad about these
- 2:18:33Speaker 7: Europeans and Americans?
- 2:18:34Speaker 6: Why?
- 2:18:34Speaker 17: Why?
- 2:18:34Speaker 7: Do you hate Irish so much that you want to
- 2:18:37Speaker 7: bring in 5 million Indians and permanently change that country? Well,
- 2:18:41Speaker 7: it's pretty clear. You know, since, what was it, 1250?
- 2:18:45Speaker 7: The people of the West have accepted, or expected, rather,
- 2:18:48Speaker 7: to have a voice in their government. They reject, as
- 2:18:51Speaker 7: a matter of custom, they reject government corruption, even though
- 2:18:55Speaker 7: we see it all around us. We're not doing anything
- 2:18:56Speaker 7: about it. They do not accept feudalism and have fought...
- 2:19:02Speaker 7: many revolutions to get over it, to get away from it,
- 2:19:04Speaker 7: including the one that was successful here. So this idea that,
- 2:19:10Speaker 7: you know, that this political class can put us into
- 2:19:12Speaker 7: a situation of tyranny where they're going to sit on
- 2:19:14Speaker 7: top as the tyrant, you know, we're a problem. We
- 2:19:18Speaker 7: don't accept that. But if you bring people in from
- 2:19:21Speaker 7: the Middle East, they have no idea what you're talking
- 2:19:24Speaker 7: about if you talk about freedom and prosperity. I mean,
- 2:19:27Speaker 7: they know prosperity from selling oil to the West. but
- 2:19:30Speaker 7: they don't understand economic freedom. They don't understand personal freedom.
- 2:19:33Speaker 7: They don't understand in most countries security and safety. They
- 2:19:36Speaker 7: definitely understand and expect and accept tyranny because every one
- 2:19:41Speaker 7: of their countries is tyrannical. And corruption isn't just accepted.
- 2:19:47Speaker 6: It is expected.
- 2:19:48Speaker 7: It is anticipated that if you get elected to the
- 2:19:52Speaker 7: school board of the township, you are going to take
- 2:19:54Speaker 7: money from the school board of the township. You're going
- 2:19:56Speaker 7: to steal it. It's an Much of the world's culture,
- 2:19:58Speaker 7: this may seem foreign to people, but it's true. If
- 2:20:02Speaker 7: you talk to people in certain countries that get, let's say,
- 2:20:05Speaker 7: put into a role where they're an engineering manager with
- 2:20:07Speaker 7: a procurement role, it is expected that the vendors will
- 2:20:10Speaker 7: pay them a fee to get that contract. It's built
- 2:20:15Speaker 7: into the pricing. So... So it's hard for us culturally
- 2:20:20Speaker 7: to understand that. But if you are one of these
- 2:20:22Speaker 7: lunatics that want to be dominating the globe with you
- 2:20:26Speaker 7: and your sick friends that hang out at places like
- 2:20:29Speaker 7: Epstein's Island and that weird castle in Eyes Wide Shut,
- 2:20:32Speaker 7: if you're one of them, well, then you absolutely think,
- 2:20:36Speaker 7: first of all, you could replace all these stubborn Westerners
- 2:20:40Speaker 7: with more compliant people from the third world who will
- 2:20:43Speaker 7: do anything for one more grain of rice or one
- 2:20:45Speaker 7: more tortilla. And who will accept anything you do, whether
- 2:20:49Speaker 7: it be corruption or maybe having crazy parties on an
- 2:20:53Speaker 7: island with underage people. So that's what they want. That's
- 2:20:58Speaker 7: the ultimate goal, a feudalist system where these masters of
- 2:21:03Speaker 7: our new paradigm, the masters of our new reality, are
- 2:21:07Speaker 7: free of ethical, moral, and legal restrictions and have access
- 2:21:11Speaker 7: to unlimited wealth.
- 2:21:12Speaker 2: Back in a minute. News Radio 570 WKBN. With the G2,
- 2:21:20Speaker 2: why do people like Tucker Carlson say that the spender
- 2:21:24Speaker 2: of the house is the worst one at his job?
- 2:21:29Speaker 7: Well, I think, well, first of all, it's a robust
- 2:21:32Speaker 7: competition between the spender of the house and the trader Foon.
- 2:21:36Speaker 11: Right.
- 2:21:36Speaker 7: Why do they, give me your thoughts.
- 2:21:38Speaker 2: On why do they say that?
- 2:21:45Speaker 7: Why do we call them that?
- 2:21:45Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 2:21:47Speaker 7: You know, first of all, these two people have fought
- 2:21:51Speaker 7: against every element of the American agenda. They lie to
- 2:21:53Speaker 7: us on a regular basis, and they trot out silly
- 2:21:57Speaker 7: things like, we always talk about this, the filibuster and
- 2:22:01Speaker 7: the parliamentarian in the Senate, neither of which is in
- 2:22:04Speaker 7: the Constitution, to say that, well, we just can't save
- 2:22:08Speaker 7: this country. Sorry, it's too hard. And it's unacceptable. So
- 2:22:13Speaker 7: I don't know whether they're the worst because it's been
- 2:22:15Speaker 7: a long line of treachery and treason and failure and
- 2:22:19Speaker 7: refusal to represent the people. But I will say that
- 2:22:22Speaker 7: if the American people don't stand up and start demanding
- 2:22:25Speaker 7: representation from Republicans and Democrats, I mean, not representation for
- 2:22:31Speaker 7: the big oligarchs, not representation for the AI companies, not
- 2:22:34Speaker 7: representation for China or India, representation for the United States citizens.
- 2:22:40Speaker 7: for our economic and constitutional protections, our economic interest and cultural.
- 2:22:46Speaker 7: If we don't do that, we're done. And right now,
- 2:22:49Speaker 7: I can't point to any more than a handful of
- 2:22:51Speaker 7: people in Congress who represent the United States citizen.
- 2:22:58Speaker 2: Very troubling. Very, very troubling. I mean, to get the
- 2:23:02Speaker 2: America First agenda somewhat in concrete so the next president
- 2:23:08Speaker 2: just can't over- do away with the executive orders, whoever
- 2:23:11Speaker 2: that might be.
- 2:23:12Speaker 7: That's right. And we're blaming Trump for this, and he
- 2:23:15Speaker 7: deserves some blame. But the truth is, this is the
- 2:23:19Speaker 7: Republicans and Democrats in Congress conspiring against us on a
- 2:23:23Speaker 7: daily basis. That's why I said what I said on Wednesday,
- 2:23:27Speaker 7: which is, if we want to pass an election security
- 2:23:31Speaker 7: bill like the Save America Act, we should build into
- 2:23:33Speaker 7: it a commission for Congress. Rather than sending all these
- 2:23:36Speaker 7: billions and billions to some NGOs, that have to filter
- 2:23:40Speaker 7: it through different companies and pay people's cousins. Let's just
- 2:23:44Speaker 7: pay them a commission. Let's put a million dollars in
- 2:23:47Speaker 7: that bill for every member of Congress, not bribe, it's
- 2:23:49Speaker 7: in the law, put it in the law, and pay
- 2:23:52Speaker 7: them each a million dollars to represent the American people.
- 2:23:55Speaker 7: At this point, we can't compete. As a matter of fact,
- 2:23:57Speaker 7: Spender Johnson just went out to the podium and explained
- 2:24:02Speaker 7: why they have to do insider trading, which would put
- 2:24:05Speaker 7: any of you in jail. They have to do that
- 2:24:07Speaker 7: because they're not paid enough. AOC made the same claim
- 2:24:10Speaker 7: a few years ago. So let's just take them at
- 2:24:12Speaker 7: their word. They're doing this because they want the money.
- 2:24:16Speaker 7: Other people pay them more than us. So let's put
- 2:24:19Speaker 7: a million dollars for each member of Congress to be
- 2:24:22Speaker 7: paid to them or their designee, half up front and
- 2:24:25Speaker 7: half over four years, even if they leave Congress, as
- 2:24:29Speaker 7: long as they don't do anything to weaken our election security.
- 2:24:32Speaker 7: Put that in the Save America Act, and the cost
- 2:24:34Speaker 7: is $ 535 million. And we get election security, which is
- 2:24:38Speaker 7: one of the most critical elements of saving this country.
- 2:24:41Speaker 7: Let's just pay these criminals.
- 2:24:45Speaker 2: I think I hear a little bit of sarcasm here,
- 2:24:47Speaker 2: but the reality is, I hope, but the reality is
- 2:24:50Speaker 2: they should be doing the right thing without being bribed.
- 2:24:55Speaker 7: They should. Yeah, they should be, but they're not going to.
- 2:24:58Speaker 7: And again, Johnson just said it. We have to use...
- 2:25:01Speaker 7: of cheating in the stock market to make money because
- 2:25:04Speaker 7: you don't pay us enough.
- 2:25:06Speaker 2: But if you Joe Bagadonis would do that, you would
- 2:25:08Speaker 2: go to jail.
- 2:25:09Speaker 7: And you may make a lot less than he makes.
- 2:25:12Speaker 7: But here's what he said. You're not going to get
- 2:25:14Speaker 7: this quality of representation. We're going to have a downgrade
- 2:25:18Speaker 7: in the quality of people that go to Congress. Can
- 2:25:20Speaker 7: you explain to me how that gets worse? Worse than this? No,
- 2:25:25Speaker 7: there's no sarcasm. I'm telling you I think we should
- 2:25:27Speaker 7: put a million dollars in that bill for every one
- 2:25:30Speaker 7: of these people. And I think we should pay it
- 2:25:33Speaker 7: to them in cash. Again, remember their designee. Have over
- 2:25:36Speaker 7: four years. And for the next bill we need, put
- 2:25:39Speaker 7: another million in. Because they're getting paid by K Street.
- 2:25:43Speaker 7: They're getting paid by the lobbyists. They're getting paid through
- 2:25:45Speaker 7: stock tips. Remember how this works, right? Congress does a
- 2:25:49Speaker 7: favor for a company. The company then gives a stock
- 2:25:52Speaker 7: tip to Congress, and Congress then makes money on the trades.
- 2:25:55Speaker 7: That's how it works. Like, they're not pretending it doesn't
- 2:25:58Speaker 7: work like that. They know it. We know it. We
- 2:26:00Speaker 7: know they know it. They know we know they know it.
- 2:26:03Speaker 7: So just pay them. Because if we don't pay them,
- 2:26:06Speaker 7: they're going to steal it. And while they're stealing that money,
- 2:26:09Speaker 7: they're serving that company that's giving them the stock trip. Tip,
- 2:26:12Speaker 7: not the American people. Let's just pay them.
- 2:26:18Speaker 2: All right, we're out of time, G2. Always good to
- 2:26:21Speaker 2: have a short slice of insight from G2. Have a
- 2:26:24Speaker 2: wonderful weekend, everybody. News Radio 570, WKVN.

- 2:27:27Speaker 15: Welcome to the Bet365 Guardians warm-up show tonight from Progressive
- 2:27:32Speaker 15: Field in downtown Cleveland. It's the Guardians and the Cincinnati
- 2:27:37Speaker 15: Reds in game one of a three-game series. Jim Rosenhouse
- 2:27:41Speaker 15: along with you about a half hour prior to tonight's
- 2:27:44Speaker 15: first pitch on a special night here at the ballpark
- 2:27:47Speaker 15: as the Guardians will honor the 2016 American League champion
- 2:27:52Speaker 15: Cleveland Indians. A lot of those players are back in
- 2:27:55Speaker 15: town and they are being honored as we speak. So
- 2:27:58Speaker 15: if A great ceremony on the field. Great to see
- 2:28:01Speaker 15: so many players who were so important to that great

- 2:28:08Speaker 15: atop the American League Central Division. The Reds, despite a
- 2:28:13Speaker 15: plus 500 record at 23-21, they are at the bottom
- 2:28:17Speaker 15: of the NL Central, five games off the pace being
- 2:28:20Speaker 15: set by the Cubs.
- 2:28:22Speaker 8: Stay tuned.
- 2:28:22Speaker 15: We'll have more to come after this. Welcome back to

- 2:28:40Speaker 15: who had that memorable World Series against the Chicago Cubs.
- 2:28:44Speaker 15: A heart and soul guy on that team was catcher
- 2:28:46Speaker 15: Jan Gomes, who unfortunately was hurt much of the second half,
- 2:28:50Speaker 15: but got back for the postseason and played a role
- 2:28:54Speaker 15: in the three-playoff series that the Guardians played. We'll visit
- 2:28:56Speaker 15: with him when we come back after this.
- 2:29:00Speaker 25: Here's the Bet365 Minute, where winning is everything, with Scott Davidson.
- 2:29:04Speaker 31: All right, there's a lot to look at downtown tonight.
- 2:29:07Speaker 31: We'll start with the Guardians. They're a $ 1. 40 favorite over
- 2:29:09Speaker 31: the Reds. The total is eight. Next door, Cavs. Game six,
- 2:29:13Speaker 31: they're minus four. Total there, 210.5. And let me give
- 2:29:16Speaker 31: you a baseball money line I like tonight. I am
- 2:29:18Speaker 31: going with our old buddy Aaron Savali. and the Athletics
- 2:29:22Speaker 31: to beat the Giants. Now, Savali has been on fire
- 2:29:25Speaker 31: in his last three starts. In fact, he's given up
- 2:29:27Speaker 31: only one earned run in his last 16 innings. The
- 2:29:30Speaker 31: Giants counter with Tyler Molle. He's got a 5.18 ERA,
- 2:29:35Speaker 31: and he comes off an outing where he gave up
- 2:29:36Speaker 31: four runs. and two homers, and he's in a ballpark
- 2:29:39Speaker 31: tonight that yields a lot of homers. I like the athletics.
- 2:29:42Speaker 31: That's my play of the day. Now, you can join
- 2:29:44Speaker 31: me when you download the Bet365 app. Remember, you bet $ 10,
- 2:29:48Speaker 31: you get $ 200 in bonus bets. Win or lose, terms
- 2:29:50Speaker 31: and conditions apply. And that's the Bet365 Minute. I'm Scott Davidson.

- 2:30:03Speaker 15: Welcome back to Guardians Warm-Up, and the 2016 American League
- 2:30:07Speaker 15: Championship team reunion has been taking place this weekend. Jan
- 2:30:11Speaker 15: Goms has joined us, and Jan, you were such a
- 2:30:13Speaker 15: heart and soul guy for those clubs as you really
- 2:30:16Speaker 15: established yourself as a top-tier catcher in the American League.
- 2:30:20Speaker 15: But for you, when you look back on that, what
- 2:30:23Speaker 15: was the World Series like for you as you were
- 2:30:25Speaker 15: trying to come back from injury and contribute in any
- 2:30:28Speaker 15: way you could?
- 2:30:29Speaker 28: Yeah, it was... I mean, we've all talked about it
- 2:30:33Speaker 28: like the last couple of days. It was, um, we,
- 2:30:36Speaker 28: we kind of didn't know what was happening to be
- 2:30:38Speaker 28: honest with you. We, uh, um, we fought so hard. We,
- 2:30:41Speaker 28: we were playing good baseball and it was all happening. Um,
- 2:30:45Speaker 28: but personally for me, I ended up getting hurt in
- 2:30:47Speaker 28: the middle of the year, trying to make my way back,
- 2:30:49Speaker 28: got hurt again. But, um, just being a part of
- 2:30:52Speaker 28: that ball club, you know, getting, you know, to play
- 2:30:54Speaker 28: some games and getting to, to see that momentum of
- 2:30:58Speaker 28: every game, you know, becoming more and more special was, uh,
- 2:31:02Speaker 28: It was a great time, even though, again, personally, I
- 2:31:06Speaker 28: didn't get to play very much during those series until
- 2:31:09Speaker 28: the World Series. But it was a super special moment.
- 2:31:13Speaker 28: It was something that no one could take away from us.
- 2:31:15Speaker 28: We had a great time, for sure.
- 2:31:18Speaker 15: People talk about chemistry on good teams so often. What
- 2:31:22Speaker 15: was it about this group that you kind of grew
- 2:31:25Speaker 15: up with that became so special so quickly?
- 2:31:27Speaker 2: I mean, you said it.
- 2:31:28Speaker 28: It was a good group of guys that, like, you know,
- 2:31:31Speaker 28: we can call it a core, we can call it
- 2:31:32Speaker 28: a nuclear, whatever it was, but it was, we had
- 2:31:36Speaker 28: a lot of guys that were coming up together at
- 2:31:37Speaker 28: the same time, having kids at the same time, we
- 2:31:40Speaker 28: were spending a lot of time together, and getting to
- 2:31:44Speaker 28: have that moment together was really special, and what was
- 2:31:48Speaker 28: really cool about it is anytime someone new came in,
- 2:31:52Speaker 28: we were very open, very welcoming, you know, Andrew Miller,
- 2:31:56Speaker 28: Coco Chris, Brandon Geyer, they all became just a easily
- 2:31:59Speaker 28: a part of the family, and it helped us big time.
- 2:32:03Speaker 15: You mentioned those three coming in. As a player on
- 2:32:06Speaker 15: a team where that's happening, what does that tell you
- 2:32:09Speaker 15: about the intentions of the front office and everything else
- 2:32:12Speaker 15: that goes along with it?
- 2:32:14Speaker 8: Yeah, you get to play long enough.
- 2:32:16Speaker 28: Whenever that trade deadline comes, you're going one way or.
- 2:32:20Speaker 2: The other, right?
- 2:32:21Speaker 28: So you're adding or you're scuffling and you're subtracting. And
- 2:32:25Speaker 28: whenever we start getting guys like, Andrew Miller, Chris, and
- 2:32:29Speaker 28: Brandon Geyer, you know we're going for it. So definitely
- 2:32:32Speaker 28: gives us a nice momentum, a nice confidence that the
- 2:32:35Speaker 28: front office believed in us.
- 2:32:37Speaker 8: But it was really cool.
- 2:32:38Speaker 28: They gelled really easy, became huge roles of our team
- 2:32:43Speaker 28: at that time, and happy that we got to be teammates.
- 2:32:46Speaker 15: Jan Goms is joining us, and you were lucky enough
- 2:32:50Speaker 15: to go on and win a World Series later in
- 2:32:52Speaker 15: your career with another team. When that happened for you,
- 2:32:56Speaker 15: Did any of this from 16 come back into your
- 2:32:59Speaker 15: thoughts as, wow, that would have been cool if it
- 2:33:02Speaker 15: could have been Cleveland?
- 2:33:02Speaker 28: Yeah, I think I've said it multiple times how cool
- 2:33:06Speaker 28: it would have been to have finished that off with
- 2:33:09Speaker 28: this team. But I can tell you that the second
- 2:33:13Speaker 28: time going into a World Series, I was way more prepared.
- 2:33:17Speaker 28: I think you start to realize that moments don't get
- 2:33:20Speaker 28: any bigger than that.
- 2:33:21Speaker 8: And you learn..
- 2:33:24Speaker 2: You learn a little bit more of the pace of
- 2:33:25Speaker 2: that game.
- 2:33:26Speaker 28: Playoff series, playoff games are a lot different than regular
- 2:33:29Speaker 28: series games. So you learn to slow the game down,
- 2:33:33Speaker 28: be more present, and understand that little moments can't escalate
- 2:33:37Speaker 28: to big moments. But we can definitely be able to
- 2:33:42Speaker 28: have those conversations in the dugout where we can slow
- 2:33:45Speaker 28: those little skids, wherever it's an error or anything, which
- 2:33:49Speaker 28: I know in the first time around, the game can
- 2:33:51Speaker 28: speed up. So I know whenever I went in 19
- 2:33:56Speaker 28: with the Nationals, I was way more prepared. At least
- 2:34:00Speaker 28: I thought so.
- 2:34:00Speaker 2: And it ended up we put a ring.
- 2:34:03Speaker 15: You're retired now as our most, except for Hosey, I think.
- 2:34:06Speaker 2: Sure.
- 2:34:07Speaker 15: But you look at your career, and you got that
- 2:34:09Speaker 15: chance here. When it was all said and done, and
- 2:34:13Speaker 15: you did decide to retire... Do you feel good about
- 2:34:15Speaker 15: your career? Because it seemed like anyone who plays as
- 2:34:17Speaker 15: long as you did, that's a solid major league career.
- 2:34:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I do.
- 2:34:21Speaker 28: I think it's one of those things where you're going
- 2:34:23Speaker 28: to have questions at the end of your career, whether
- 2:34:26Speaker 28: you could have done more. But I feel like I
- 2:34:29Speaker 28: left my mark in the game. I gave it my
- 2:34:31Speaker 28: best every day I was on on the field. I
- 2:34:33Speaker 28: never left anything for granted. And I thank a lot
- 2:34:37Speaker 28: of guys that I got to play with for that.
- 2:34:39Speaker 28: I know Tito as a manager was a huge influence
- 2:34:42Speaker 28: on me. Sandy was the same way. So I felt
- 2:34:45Speaker 28: like any game that I played, I was playing it
- 2:34:48Speaker 28: like it was my last, and I hope that that
- 2:34:51Speaker 28: was the impact I left.
- 2:34:52Speaker 15: Jan, great to see you.
- 2:34:53Speaker 2: Thanks for coming by. Absolutely.
- 2:34:54Speaker 8: Thanks, Rosie.
- 2:34:55Speaker 15: That's Jan Gomes, catcher for the 2016 American League champion
- 2:35:01Speaker 15: Cleveland Guardians.
- 2:35:01Speaker 19: Stay tuned.
- 2:35:02Speaker 15: More to come after this.
- 2:35:03Speaker 32: Progressive knows sports brings people together, but you've got to
- 2:35:06Speaker 32: feel bad for people who don't even get it. Some
- 2:35:08Speaker 32: people will never know what it's like to see their
- 2:35:10Speaker 32: favorite team's hopes decided by a ping-pong ball to draft
- 2:35:12Speaker 32: the next superstar.
- 2:35:15Speaker 5: Or not.
- 2:35:16Speaker 32: I mean, sure, it's silly for your happiness to hinge
- 2:35:18Speaker 32: on the success of a 20-year-old entry-level employee, but you
- 2:35:20Speaker 32: just can't help yourself.
- 2:35:21Speaker 33: The stress is exhilarating.
- 2:35:22Speaker 32: Progressive can't bring people together like the draft, but we
- 2:35:26Speaker 32: can bring your home and auto insurance together with a bundle.
- 2:35:28Speaker 32: So switch and see if you could save hundreds. Progressive
- 2:35:30Speaker 32: Casualty Insurance Company affiliates and other insurers not available in
- 2:35:32Speaker 32: all states or situations.
- 2:35:34Speaker 27: Hey, you mind keeping it down up there, please?
- 2:35:36Speaker 33: KeyBank will meet you in that I need new neighbors moment.
- 2:35:40Speaker 29: Rick, it's your mortgage loan officer, Beth. I was in
- 2:35:43Speaker 29: the neighborhood and wanted to let you know your home
- 2:35:45Speaker 29: loan application's been approved.
- 2:35:47Speaker 2: Beth, you're always there for me, and not a moment
- 2:35:49Speaker 2: too soon.
- 2:35:51Speaker 29: Are your neighbors bowling with grand pianos again?
- 2:35:53Speaker 2: And apparently raising livestock?
- 2:35:55Speaker 7: Ew.
- 2:35:56Speaker 18: For every financial need, we'll meet you in the moment.
- 2:35:59Speaker 2: KeyBank opens doors.

- 2:37:07Speaker 15: Welcome back to the Bet365 Guardians Warm-Up Show. Time for
- 2:37:10Speaker 15: our pregame weather forecast from WKYC. It's presented by Window World.
- 2:37:17Speaker 13: Cloudy skies during the evening hours with temps falling through
- 2:37:20Speaker 13: the 60s will give way to clearing skies toward midnight
- 2:37:23Speaker 13: with a low tonight down to 56 degrees. Saturday, you'll
- 2:37:27Speaker 13: be dodging a few showers, maybe.
- 2:37:29Speaker 2: A rumble of thunder.
- 2:37:30Speaker 13: During the day, but our warm-up is beginning. 79 degrees,
- 2:37:34Speaker 13: the high on Saturday. From the 3 News Weather Center,
- 2:37:38Speaker 13: I'm Mark Johnson.
- 2:37:39Speaker 15: Nice night for baseball downtown, and when we come back,
- 2:37:42Speaker 15: Tom Hamilton will visit with manager Stephen Vogt, the Key
- 2:37:45Speaker 15: Bank Manager Show next.
- 2:37:58Speaker 18: Hi again, everybody, with Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt. This is
- 2:38:01Speaker 18: Tom Hamilton. Welcome to the Manager's Show. It's brought to
- 2:38:04Speaker 18: you by KeyBank. Off day yesterday after, in essence, a
- 2:38:08Speaker 18: two-week run. That's mammoth, isn't it?
- 2:38:10Speaker 8: Yeah, it was huge. I mean, what a long trip.
- 2:38:12Speaker 35: Sacramento to Kansas City and then home for six more games.
- 2:38:16Speaker 8: Man, our guys played well. What a great stretch we had.
- 2:38:19Speaker 35: Anytime you have a trip like that and a long stretch,
- 2:38:22Speaker 35: you don't know how it's going to go.
- 2:38:23Speaker 8: But we were able to win more than we lost,
- 2:38:25Speaker 8: and we played some good baseball.
- 2:38:26Speaker 18: Voter, you've played well here at home, especially pitching. Your
- 2:38:29Speaker 18: ERA is more than two runs lower at home than
- 2:38:33Speaker 18: on the road. Now, some of that might be weather-related,
- 2:38:35Speaker 18: but you also have to pitch in that.
- 2:38:37Speaker 8: Yeah, they've been great.
- 2:38:38Speaker 35: I mean, our starting rotation as a whole has been
- 2:38:40Speaker 35: very good, and the bullpen has just been phenomenal here
- 2:38:43Speaker 35: as of late, and really the majority of the year.
- 2:38:46Speaker 35: It kind of had a week where they kind of
- 2:38:47Speaker 35: gave up some runs, but outside of that, it's been phenomenal,
- 2:38:50Speaker 35: and we're pitching well, we're playing good defense, and we're
- 2:38:53Speaker 35: getting hitting when we need it, and You're going to
- 2:38:55Speaker 35: have games where you don't, but for the most part,
- 2:38:57Speaker 35: I've been really pleased with our at-bat quality.
- 2:38:59Speaker 18: Well, and the bullpen kind of continues to evolve. You
- 2:39:02Speaker 18: do have that guy in the ninth inning. I mean,
- 2:39:04Speaker 18: right now, Cade Smith looks locked in.
- 2:39:07Speaker 35: Yeah, especially the last two outings. I think we really
- 2:39:10Speaker 35: saw a different version of Cade. We saw the version
- 2:39:13Speaker 35: of Cade we're used to, and it's.
- 2:39:15Speaker 8: Been a process.
- 2:39:16Speaker 35: Pitchers go through lulls where they lose their mechanics or
- 2:39:19Speaker 35: something just feels a tick off.
- 2:39:21Speaker 8: But, man, when Cade's dialed, isn't he great?
- 2:39:25Speaker 18: Well, I mean, right now you wonder how does a
- 2:39:27Speaker 18: hitter even figure out what's coming next? And the results
- 2:39:30Speaker 18: are three punch outs every inning. That being said, voter,
- 2:39:34Speaker 18: it's a little different than a year ago. 7-8-9 was
- 2:39:37Speaker 18: pretty clear cut. More mixing and matching now?
- 2:39:39Speaker 35: Yeah, I mean, I think if you've looked at the
- 2:39:41Speaker 35: last couple years, at least since I've been here, you know,
- 2:39:44Speaker 35: we don't have clear set roles.
- 2:39:45Speaker 8: We don't have a seventh inning, eighth inning, ninth inning.
- 2:39:47Speaker 8: It's more matchup based.
- 2:39:48Speaker 35: And I think we're really starting to see we have
- 2:39:51Speaker 35: a lot of pieces that we can fit into that
- 2:39:53Speaker 35: puzzle right now. It's a good problem to have, and
- 2:39:56Speaker 35: with both lefties being as dominant as they are and
- 2:39:58Speaker 35: three or four really good righties and some pretty good
- 2:40:01Speaker 35: mop-up guys as well. So we feel really good about
- 2:40:03Speaker 35: the state of our pen. We're going to continue to
- 2:40:05Speaker 35: look for the best matchups possible for guys.
- 2:40:07Speaker 18: Can you explain Eric Cebrowski's success? He doesn't throw 98, but,
- 2:40:12Speaker 18: I mean, he's getting almost two strikeouts an inning. One
- 2:40:16Speaker 18: thing we do know, he's fearless, isn't he?
- 2:40:18Speaker 8: Yeah, he is. He's fearless. But also his fastball, you know,
- 2:40:21Speaker 8: it's not a normal four-seam. It plays up.
- 2:40:24Speaker 35: It's got 22 inches of vertical ride, and that's ridiculous.
- 2:40:28Speaker 35: So essentially you've got to try and swing a miss
- 2:40:30Speaker 35: over the top of his fastball if you want to
- 2:40:32Speaker 35: hit it is basically the best way to describe it.
- 2:40:35Speaker 35: And so he's got good extension. He's coming at you,
- 2:40:37Speaker 35: and he's got two really good breaking balls to couple
- 2:40:39Speaker 35: with it. So when Eric's throwing strikes, he's one of
- 2:40:42Speaker 35: the best.
- 2:40:43Speaker 18: I know how proud you are of me right now.
- 2:40:45Speaker 18: I went three minutes before I asked you the batting lineup.
- 2:40:49Speaker 18: You've got Chase DeLauder again hitting third with Jose Ramirez
- 2:40:53Speaker 18: in the two-hole. Do you want to see how this
- 2:40:55Speaker 18: goes for a while?
- 2:40:56Speaker 2: You know, again, we're day-to-day.
- 2:40:58Speaker 35: I think I really liked the way it looked the
- 2:41:00Speaker 35: other day versus the lefty, and we're facing another lefty today.
- 2:41:03Speaker 8: We'll see how it shakes out for tomorrow.
- 2:41:05Speaker 35: But, you know, I really liked the way, you know,
- 2:41:08Speaker 35: whoever's hitting second is going to get the most meaningful
- 2:41:10Speaker 35: of bats, and so why not put Jose in that spot?
- 2:41:12Speaker 18: Do you talk to Hosey before you make this kind
- 2:41:14Speaker 18: of a move?
- 2:41:15Speaker 8: Absolutely. You know, you always ask. I mean, you've seen it.
- 2:41:17Speaker 35: We've tried him in the two-hole a few stretches over
- 2:41:20Speaker 35: the last few years, and he's always kind of just
- 2:41:22Speaker 35: wanted to gravitate back towards the three-hole. And again, whatever
- 2:41:25Speaker 35: Hosey wants, you know, but we've been talking a lot
- 2:41:27Speaker 35: about it, and he actually expressed some interest in possibly,
- 2:41:29Speaker 35: you know, doing it.
- 2:41:31Speaker 8: And, you know, anytime he wants to step up in
- 2:41:33Speaker 8: its second, I'm all for it.
- 2:41:36Speaker 18: Voter, one other thing I wanted to ask you about,
- 2:41:38Speaker 18: and that's Cincinnati, tonight's opponent. in essence, the same record.
- 2:41:42Speaker 18: They've been struggling lately, but everybody in that National League
- 2:41:45Speaker 18: East is above.
- 2:41:46Speaker 10: 500.
- 2:41:46Speaker 2: What kind of a club are they?
- 2:41:49Speaker 8: They're pesky.
- 2:41:50Speaker 35: They can hit. They can run. They put a lot
- 2:41:52Speaker 35: of pressure on you on the bases. They've got good pitching.
- 2:41:55Speaker 35: They've got really big stuff coming out of the bullpen.
- 2:41:59Speaker 35: Struggle with throwing strikes at times, which they can get
- 2:42:01Speaker 35: themselves in trouble, so we have to be really patient
- 2:42:03Speaker 35: with their bullpen, but this is a really good team.
- 2:42:05Speaker 8: I mean, They play the game the right way. They're
- 2:42:08Speaker 8: good on defense. They run. They bunt. They cause havoc.
- 2:42:11Speaker 8: And we got our work cut out for us this weekend.
- 2:42:14Speaker 18: That's Cleveland manager Stephen Votam, Hamilton, inviting you to stay tuned.
- 2:42:18Speaker 18: Game one of this weekend's series with the Reds next
- 2:42:20Speaker 18: on the Cleveland Clinic Radio Network.
