Canada’s border agency is shutting down its Remote Area Border Crossing program and replacing it with a new phone-in system, but the rollout isn’t ready yet—so RABC permits are being extended until November 30, 2026. Starting December 1, travelers entering via remote areas must either call in or visit designated ports.
