- 3:43I'm excited to be able to present this young lady to many of you guys,
- 3:49introduce her to those that may not know her, and reintroduce her to

- 4:44Well, I want you, well, I'm glad you're here, and
- 4:49I want you to introduce yourself to those that may not know who Miss Debbie
- 4:55is. Miss Debbie Dotson. Well, I am a When people ask me
- 5:03that, I never really know what to say because I want to start with
- 5:06this, and I'll do this tonight. I'm a child of God, and
- 5:11that simply means that I'm a lot of different things. He said, we
- 5:15could be a lot of different things. I'm a lot of different things.
- 5:17I'm a mother, I'm a sister, I'm a friend, I'm I'm an
- 5:25entrepreneur, I'm a community leader, i am person radio personality, I'm i'm
- 5:33I'm a grandmother, I'm every woman. And tonight I'm excited to share some
- 5:40of more of what that means and what it looks like. Well, I
- 5:48am glad to have you here. I had the opportunity to meet you.
- 5:56It's been what about five six, maybe said seven years now, it's been
- 6:01a while. When I was living back in Anderson, South Carolina, and
- 6:10we had the opportunity. I think we came across each other doing something with
- 6:19the city doing something in Anderson you and I tell you, yes, and
- 6:30and that's exactly what you are doing. You are doing some amazing things,
- 6:39and I I just want to thank you for all that you are doing.
- 6:43You may not know this, but you are someone that I truly have looked
- 6:47to for inspiration and you have been my silent personal mentor. I look to
- 6:56you to see what you're doing, and you encouraged me. We may not
- 7:02talk all the time, but you truly encourage me. You truly inspire me,
- 7:10just from the conversations that we used to have in the library, at
- 7:15these little meetings we used to have. I remember having an event at the
- 7:20center that I used to run, and how you and mister Martin used to
- 7:25come out and support the things that me and my partner at that time were
- 7:29doing. And I just grew drew so much inspiration from you and the things
- 7:36that you were doing within the community. And I tell you you have not
- 7:42stopped. When I tell you you have not stopped, you have not.
- 7:46I see you open a business. You are doing so much. You are
- 7:51doing so much, and I just want you to share with those that are
- 7:59tuned in to day a little bit about your business. What inspired you to
- 8:03say, Okay, I'm gonna go ahead and do this, so if you
- 8:07would, what you said so much and I've never had an introduction like that,
- 8:15so thank you. You are a pleasure. Again. You inspired me
- 8:22a whole lot more than you will ever know. Sometimes we're in a dark
- 8:26place and we don't realize what we need, but somehow my life has been
- 8:33this way. God always sends what I need because I believe you will.
- 8:37So you were one of those angels during that time. It was it was
- 8:41easy. It was easy to be whatever it was I was to you because
- 8:43you were being even more to me. So I wanted to say that thank
- 8:48you, and for me just being an entrepreneur, I got it out.
- 8:56People hate for me to say this, but I got out of the mud.
- 8:58I didn't know anything, I had no blueprint. I was doing something
- 9:01totally different than what I had seen in my area or even across the globe.
- 9:07You know, COVID was what made people go to their kitchens. Before
- 9:11people went to their kitchens and start making stuff with their hands. I've been
- 9:15doing it for like twenty years. So for me, it was not really
- 9:18a business that was being started. It was a way of life. It
- 9:24was what I already knew and was able to do, but now was extending
- 9:31it to others. So that was interesting for me. It was difficult.
- 9:33So starting a business for me started by accident, and it started from just
- 9:39somebody asking, hey, can you make me a tea. I made herbal
- 9:43teas for all types of needs, and it's not for anything other than to
- 9:50add something well to your life, a way of being, a wellness option
- 9:56that you can just either drink, take as appealed, take as a tonic,
- 10:05whatever. That's what I do. I'm an herbalist and my business is
- 10:09Deavi's Got the t LLC. And I offer products and services that can help
- 10:13you to you know, just give you, just give you another option.
- 10:16There are alternatives out here. I'm not against doctors, that's my disclaimer.
- 10:20I just made an appointment with my doctor this morning. I believe that doctors
- 10:26are designed to do what they do and that's make diagnosis. So for me,
- 10:30it's just the way of life. And I make not only products,
- 10:33I also make drinks. We have a smoothie bar at my store. My
- 10:39store is located at thirty two fifteen Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard that's in Anderson,
- 10:45South Carolina, and you can find just about anything you can think of,
- 10:48so things to help you be well inside and outside hair care products.
- 10:54I'm also a licensed cosmetologists, been licensed since eight and I can go on
- 11:00and on, but it just feels like I need to stop and allow you
- 11:03to say something, Angela. But yeah, that's just a couple of things
- 11:07that I do. I build a whole line in company out of one person,
- 11:15and only that's not to give myself any alcolades at all, because I
- 11:20don't do that because it's God that has set me to do this, and
- 11:24he puts everything in motion, and I just move. I always tell people
- 11:28I'm moving to shake, and and that just simply means that I believe that
- 11:33I can. I was telling Angela before I came on. I'm not afraid
- 11:37of failure. I just don't feel like that's an option. But I am
- 11:43afraid of success and usually the other way around. But I'm not afraid of
- 11:52failure. I'm afraid of succeeding. I know that I can, and as
- 11:56an introvert, that's a little bit uncomfortable. So yeah, I'm gonna start
- 12:01right now. Well, you definitely should not be afraid of success because just
- 12:11a short time that I've known you and the things that you have done since
- 12:18I've met you, it has been nothing shy of successful. Because we're from
- 12:24a small town. Where we're from, Anderson, South Carolina, probably don't
- 12:28even have three hundred thousand people, and and everybody know everybody just about or
- 12:35if you don't know, you know somebody that knows somebody that knows somebody.
- 12:41We all have tighten the community. So it's kind of hard, you know,
- 12:46it's kind of hard. And I look at you and I see all
- 12:48of the things that you've done from just a short time that I've known you.
- 12:52You were in school, I think, or either you went back to
- 12:56school, you graduated, you open up your business, and you say it
- 13:05was by accident. I don't think. So. It was our part of
- 13:09the plan. It may not just happen when we wanted to happen, but
- 13:15it was our part of It was our part of Jeremiah twenty nine and eleven.
- 13:18He had already left it out. You just had to catch up to
- 13:22it. You to catch up to it. It was already part of the
- 13:26plan. Well, you know, you like the go ahead I'm sorry.
- 13:37Well, I just want to touch on what you said about coming from you
- 13:41know, a small town and and everything that is true, you know,
- 13:46but small towns have a lot of talent in them. Small towns typically have
- 13:54a lot of people that can do a lot of things. I think about
- 13:56Chad with both men, I think about Javonn Johns. So those two just
- 14:00come to mind because they go hand in hand because they both they both in
- 14:05films for me, so in my head, I just put both of them
- 14:09together. They both done amazing things, and it's plenty more. It's plenty
- 14:13more. I just don't know them, you know, and can't speak on
- 14:16them at the moment. But with that, you talked about Jim Rice the
- 14:24baseball player. You have Saudi a round tree that you go around here.
- 14:31She came out of West Side played She was one of the first when w
- 14:35n B A became w n B A. She played for w n B
- 14:39A and then only that she was the coach. She was the head coach
- 14:43at Marris Brown College. I didn't even know that, and I that's why
- 14:48I played ball at in the early nineties. Six I played at Morris Brown
- 14:54College. In two thousand, I think it was two thousand, said round
- 15:00Tree was the head women's basketball coach there. And we've had quite a few
- 15:05other individuals come out of Anderson Abbeville County because it's all right there together.
- 15:13We've had some successful people come out of there. And I tell you,
- 15:20we definitely are a hit and gym. But I look at the Electric City.
- 15:26People don't understand. Anderson was one of the first city in South Carolina
- 15:31to have electricity. So that's why we are called the Electric City. It
- 15:37took a guy. I didn't even realize that. One of my friends from
- 15:41Atlanta that used to come and work the camps with me, work the summer
- 15:45camps with me. He mentioned it to the kids, and you know,
- 15:50I'm like, I live here in Anderson, and I really didn't even know
- 15:52that, and it made me start, you know, trying to find out
- 15:56a little bit more about my city. And I tell you, I always
- 16:00shouting about Anderson. I'm glad I had the opportunity to come back to and
- 16:07and to meet you, to meet mister Martin, to meet my former partner,
- 16:11because that opportunity allowed me to be able to do a lot of the
- 16:15things that I'm doing now and just being able to sit at your feet and
- 16:22his feet and to learn some things because y'all may not realize the conversations that
- 16:29we had, the different things that we did together. It helped catapult me
- 16:37and to push me into these things that I'm doing now, because before that,
- 16:41y'all, I wouldn't have been doing this, writing books like I wouldn't
- 16:48have been doing that. And you know, working with you guys and sitting
- 16:52at those roundtables and having those discussions with you guys, it really pushed me
- 16:59out of my comfort zone. And I have to thank you for that.
- 17:04Thank you, thank you. You're you're very you have definitely been an inspiration
- 17:11to me. You're you're more than welcome, You're welcoming. I definitely I
- 17:19can't thank you enough. And you are definitely paving the way for other individuals.
- 17:27And I see it because I'm seeing more brown people opening businesses around Anderson,
- 17:37around Abbeyville, and just I've never seen so many brown businesses before,
- 17:44and people trying, you know before, you know, we just not we
- 17:48had to go work in those plants, go and and and stay on those
- 17:52lines. And you know, I was one of those people that said I
- 17:56was not going to Fridgid there. I said I would leave Anderson before I
- 18:02go work at Frencher there. Me too, Me too, And that's what
- 18:04I ended up at a junior college when when I graduated from high school,
- 18:12I took a scholarship at a junior college because I refused to stay in Anderson
- 18:18and go work in one of those plants. I got the junior college and
- 18:21did not like it, and I ended up moving to Atlanta with my sister.
- 18:26I didn't know what I was gonna do when I got there, because
- 18:29here I am. I fought for the scholarship, gave up the scholarship because
- 18:32I said I wouldn't going back, and I didn't know what I was gonna
- 18:34do. And I just started calling colleges and I got coach Daniels at Morris
- 18:41Brown on the phone. And now that man told me he said if I
- 18:45played and in the summer league out at ben Hill, that he would put
- 18:49me on the team. Had never seen me play, had and watched no
- 18:52videos, had done none of that. That was nothing but the grace of
- 18:56God. And he did exactly what he said he would do. I played
- 18:59yet and he put me on the team. And here I am. But
- 19:03God gave me the opportunity to come back to Anderson and I had the opportunity
- 19:07to meet you guys, and I went through some things, but I said,
- 19:12you know what, I'm not gonna allow that to stop me. It
- 19:17was your encouragement because right after I went through I don't even know if you
- 19:23realize I had went through all that stuff when I met you. But when
- 19:27I met you, you truly was inspirational to me. It was you and
- 19:36mister Martin and the conversations that we had that really I said, I have
- 19:41to do better. I have to change, I have to you know,
- 19:45want more. And I said, you know what, I didn't know what
- 19:48I was gonna do, but I know I was gonna get out of Anderson
- 19:52and I was gonna give it another try. And that's what I did.
- 19:56And I never looked back. And I have to thank you for that,
- 20:00those conversations that we had that sitting in the library, those meetings we had
- 20:06around that round table on that second floor. Yeah, I truly appreciate it.
- 20:12Wow. And just the different things that you instilled in us and shared
- 20:19with us about going to these different meetings and being in law in our community
- 20:26and knowing what's going on. That is very important, and I thank you
- 20:30for that because that helped me to get out of my shell. It helped
- 20:37me to look these They started calling me the Queen a collaboration. I don't
- 20:41know who started calling me that, but it's a name that I garnered and
- 20:45I carry it near and dear to my heart because now God has given me
- 20:51a niche to bring people together, and that's what I do. I do
- 20:56a lot of anthologies. I'm on book number eighty five and it is anathologies.
- 21:02I do a lot of anathologies. I just well, actually, we're
- 21:04gonna have a book that's gonna release on the thirty first. It's forty poets
- 21:10inside of this book. And I'm telling you, I would not be doing
- 21:15this if I had not come across you, guys. I'm telling you,
- 21:18I don't know where I would be. So I thank God for oh my
- 21:22goodness, connection and just being obedient me. Now, now that's the that's
- 21:30the thing, you're right there. I thank Him for you. Yeah.
- 21:33Well, I'm so I'm so over overjoyed to be sitting here with you tonight
- 21:41and and have the opportunity to receive my flowers so thank you. A lot
- 21:47of times were offering flowers, but it's it's it's too late for the person
- 21:51to actually be quiet and sit in it. So I appreciate you letting me
- 21:55sit in those flowers. I can't speak for missing, but I think I
- 22:00can when I say we didn't have any doubt in our mind, any doubt
- 22:04in our mind what you were gonna end up doing. We knew that you
- 22:10were going to go on to do wonderful things because you were so committed that
- 22:15as community leaders, we couldn't ignore your commitment. So we had to jump
- 22:21on board and do whatever it was we did needed to do and could do
- 22:26to encourage you to keep moving because we knew that you would become exactly what
- 22:30you become and then some Now I don't know what you were going through and
- 22:34what you've been through since the time we lost you know that every day or
- 22:40once a week connection, But I do know this, I prayed for you
- 22:47every single day, every single day, So you know that's that's a gift
- 22:52that you know. I don't know how to stop doing as an intercessor,
- 22:56so you know, to you, yeah, I had no doubt. I
- 23:00just knew what we had to carry you until you were able to stand on
- 23:06your on your own two feet. And that's what elders do anyway. So
- 23:10you know, I consider myself as an elder and that it's not attached to
- 23:12age in my eyes, It's attached to just being willing to give of yourself
- 23:18in a way that you would want somebody to give back to you. So
- 23:22I appreciate you. Wow, And that's exactly what you're doing in the community
- 23:30right now. You may not realize how many people look to you, but
- 23:37there's a lot of Stephanie, Stephanie. I didn't meet Stephanie Johnson Rice until
- 23:47I left Anderson. I met her on social media and then we couldn't that's
- 23:56it at an event and PO shoot in Colombia, and that's really when we
- 24:02connected. I can call Stephanie and Stephanie will come to Murder Beach whatever.
- 24:07She's always there. And I tell you you have so much influence on her,
- 24:17and you're one of her mentors. I hear so much about you through
- 24:22her, and I tell you you are just amazing, and I just want
- 24:26you to know that. And I want these individuals that are tuned in tonight
- 24:33to truly understand you know what, I'll you do because you are truly a
- 24:38community leader outside of being a a erberalist and a certified cos probably master cosmetologist.
- 24:52Because I know you, You're good at whatever you do. And what
- 24:59did you What did you go back to school? What kind of degree you
- 25:02got when you went back to school? Well, while you went I am
- 25:08a certified detox therapist, and I do in a nutshell, that's just someone
- 25:14that makes sure that you're lymphatics or draining properly and that you're detoxing so your
- 25:18body won't hold waste and so you can lose weight and lose toxins that are
- 25:25in our head and scout. So I am a detox therapist, excuse me,
- 25:29a certified detox therapist as well. I am a licensed registered cosmetologist And
- 25:36I just got my Associates of Arts degree in Human Services from Southern Wesleyan University.
- 25:42And with that it's community support, elder advocacy, children's at advocacy,
- 25:51counseling, community development, economic development, all the stuff that I do,
- 25:56wellness, all everything that. God, he just did a nice little puzzle
- 26:02and he put the pieces all together, and I was just willing to walk
- 26:04through the door. Not because I thought I could. It was because I
- 26:10knew I could. And if I can, just share anything with anybody listening,
- 26:15and you can because you know you can. It may not look the
- 26:19way it needs to look in that moment, but you can because you know
- 26:23you can. If nothing else in twenty twenty four, go into it knowing
- 26:27that you can. If I think I can, If you stay in your
- 26:33lane and stay in your boat and paddle them, because you're gonna have to
- 26:40paddle, You're gonna have to row, you're gonna have to move, You're
- 26:42gonna be on a roller coaster, not just in business, in life.
- 26:47That's just the way it goes. And on that why you paddling. Mind
- 26:52your business, your business, your own business, your family, your self
- 27:00care, and your business, your other business, the business that you're building,
- 27:03and stay in that boat. And God has set everything in motion.
- 27:07But you gotta work for it. You gotta work for it. And you
- 27:11know I said that about Angela early and I'll say it again, she worked
- 27:17for it. You deserve everything that you're getting. And I'm in love.
- 27:21I'm loving watching it. I am I'm having the ball watching you flourish.
- 27:26And I missed out on so much. You're doing a million and one amazing
- 27:33things, and you're not just you're not outside of your lane. You're in
- 27:37your boat and you're rowing, and you're paling to the beat of your own
- 27:41drum, flowing where God wants you to flow. I don't confess to be
- 27:48anything other than a lady that believes that God is who he say is in
- 27:53my life and your life. So I don't put any titles to anything,
- 27:57but I have to always bring him up when I talk about anything, because
- 28:02he been in my life since I was ten, and he's done some amazing
- 28:06things in my life and kept me safe from harm, supply to all my
- 28:11needs, all my wonts when it made sense in his time, and he's
- 28:17still supplying some of those things. I'm a TV personality, I'm a radio
- 28:22personality, and I'm also an introvert go figure. And it's only that way
- 28:27because He's gonna give you what you can handle, what you can handle because
- 28:34you got to be in his will and it has to look right to him.
- 28:38And if he's the one that we look into, we need to keep
- 28:41coming to him. So as an introvert, I have to keep coming to
- 28:44him in order to do even these things like this. So I'm just excited
- 28:48where twenty twenty four is gonna take me as a licensed detox therapist, as
- 28:55a as a human service major, as a WHO who's Marquise's inductee, as
- 29:02a television personality as well as a radio personality, as a business owner,
- 29:08as a mother, as a grandmother, as a all of that stuff,
- 29:14and I'm missing a lot of it as a community leader, as someone that
- 29:19sits on boards that I just sit back and just sit and let things happen.
- 29:25We don't have to stand in the limelight all the time to be seen.
- 29:27Like I like for God to get his glory, and the only way
- 29:30he can get is for me to move this old flesh a little bit further
- 29:33back so he can shine. And then I'm a shine because he's shining because
- 29:37I'm his child. So I'm just sharing little nuggets. If you're getting them,
- 29:41that's good for you. If you're not, I take them with me.
- 29:44I take them with me first. Anything I'm talking about is for me
- 29:47first. So you know, I didn't mean to go there, Angela,
- 29:49but it was on my heart. If you get me on here, it's
- 29:52always gonna come from the heart, and that's what we do, and and
- 30:03and and how because I don't do no scripts, I don't do no questions,
- 30:07I don't do none of that. I truly believe that this is a
- 30:10platform that God has given me because I used to always just want to go
- 30:14live and and and talk about books and just talk about other things. And
- 30:18he always, he always got the glory every time I would go live.
- 30:22It always it seemed like when I got off that live and I went back
- 30:26and I was watching, and I was like, who was that girl?
- 30:30I was like, who was that? Where had come from? Like he
- 30:33was just just stuff was just coming out, and I was just like,
- 30:37what of that? All that? And I just stopped. I just stopped
- 30:40trying to have scripts. I just dropped trying to have questions and just allowing
- 30:47him to flow. Because I know that I don't walk in no offices.
- 30:52I don't I don't hold no titles. But I do know that I am
- 30:56a child of God. I've been in all my life. If I grew
- 31:00up in the church. Grandfather was a pastor, so I've always been in
- 31:04church. My cousin's a pastor, so you know, That's all I know
- 31:08is church, and I know the word, and I just thank him for
- 31:14just being who he said he would be in our lives. If if we
- 31:18just move out the way sometimes and just allow him to be who he said
- 31:22he was gonna be, then a lot of this anxiety and a lot of
- 31:26this stuff that we go through, we wouldn't even go through. And that's
- 31:30what I had to do. I had to move out my own way because
- 31:33I was holding myself back. I was holding myself back, and I had
- 31:36to move. And as soon as I moved, he just began to open
- 31:40doors I'm talking about. He began to put me in places that I never
- 31:44thought I would be in. He was talking about three different networks. I've
- 31:48been a part of, getting inducted into the International Internet Radio Hall of Fame
- 31:52and being Host of the Year on the network. Never thought that I who?
- 31:56I stuttered. I'm country. I'm from lever Land. I was born
- 32:01in Anderson, but I lived in never Landside most of my life. Someone
- 32:07you've never heard of, Yes, I am from I'm one of those Martins
- 32:13from down there, and yes, people never heard of that. They like,
- 32:20yeah, one way in, one way out. Everybody on my particular
- 32:22street on Black hair rod. They either my first cousin or my second cousin.
- 32:28And I never thought that I would be doing a lot of the things
- 32:32that I'm doing now and being able to, you know, open these different
- 32:37doors and to let people know that, yes you can. Just like you
- 32:42said, if you want to, you can't. You you will and you
- 32:45shall if you want to. I made a post today. You know a
- 32:50lot of people get discouraged and they give up. But if you put nothing
- 32:55in nothing, you gonna always get nothing all day. But if you want
- 33:00something out, you got to put something in all they long, nothing plusant
- 33:07nothing was nothing all day. It's not gonna change if you ain't putting nothing
- 33:13in here, how you expect something good to come out? Exactly? That's
- 33:15it. Got to build them almost, that's it. Got to row that
- 33:19boat. Mm hmm. That's it. That's it, I'm telling you.
- 33:24And then we have to be careful, you know, the things that we
- 33:29speak to because Proverbs, Proverbs what eighteen twenty one tell us that we have
- 33:32the power in our in our in our tongue. We can speak like for
- 33:37that we have that power. And see, we got to understand that God
- 33:42started dealing with me with with breaking down ordinary words that we already know.
- 33:46He started breaking them down into acronyms and saying, okay, this is this
- 33:50is this. So with that word power, he dropped that thing in my
- 33:52spirit about three years ago. He said, I position you to be an
- 33:58overcomer by being in will vessel to educate, empower and encourage others through your
- 34:04resilience. See, if I never went through nothing, I couldn't tell nobody
- 34:07about nothing. You know what I'm saying. So he had to position me
- 34:10to be that overcome and then I had to yield and be that will and
- 34:15yestle so that he can use me. And then I'm walking around here and
- 34:20he say, I gave you the E three experience to use it to tell
- 34:22people about it, but you sit on it, he said, so now
- 34:25people don't know about it. He said, you got to tell people what
- 34:28it is so they can do it. Educate, empower and and courage.
- 34:30That's what you placed here to do, Edelah, do it, and you
- 34:35do it to showing people that you are resilient, that will and a will
- 34:38that will not let you quit, that will not let you give up,
- 34:42that won't let you stay in a state ned place that will not let you
- 34:45stay filled. But you gotta want it. You gotta want it. I
- 34:50say, you gotta want better in order to get you have to because again,
- 34:55like you said, nothing from nothing leaves nothing. I mean, you
- 34:59have to do something. And when we think about doing something, we think
- 35:04about big, big chunks of something. We already see the final picture.
- 35:10That's that's normal. But break it down into small pieces so you can actually
- 35:17digest it, so to speak, and then move with with what you needed.
- 35:22So we want to we don't get so overwhelmed. That's how I was
- 35:25able to build. I'm not in a hurry when I get wherever it is
- 35:32that God has for me to go and where I want to go. I've
- 35:37started using it in that manner. God first, and then I have to
- 35:44be the person. I have to have the will to do it. I
- 35:46have to have the ability to do it. So I give myself some not
- 35:53some of the praise, but at least say I'm working toward this. It
- 35:59keeps the engine running, so to speak, so you can get the things
- 36:02done that you need to get done. God himself does not want us to
- 36:08not be equipped to have the things that he had the store from us for
- 36:15us from the beginning. That's why I'm always unsure why when people talk about
- 36:23natural products or things from the earth that it's always seen it used to be,
- 36:30we're getting better, and I'm in a negative component, like that person
- 36:35is doing something that doesn't necessarily line up with what God had planned. And
- 36:39God planned for those trees and everything to be used for our goodness, our
- 36:47wellness. And I say it that way because again, you know, we
- 36:52can go to the doctors, the doctors to make diagnosis. Say that again,
- 37:00because it's just ringing in my ear. Doctors make diagnoses, and without
- 37:04a diagnosis, what are we treating with our herbs? We don't know,
- 37:12so we could be doing ourselves more harm. And I just share that because
- 37:16I'm a detox therapist. I'm not speaking out of nothing that I don't already
- 37:22have a degree to be able to speak on. So I'm getting more comfortable
- 37:24doing that. And that's what you said earlier. You know, we have
- 37:28to walk into what it is that we are called to do, you know,
- 37:32and talking about these type of topics, I want people to know also
- 37:37that I offer classes. I offer classes where you can find out more about
- 37:42particular herbs that can help your body to feel better, help you to feel
- 37:45better. I hate when we're tired. I hate when we as people are
- 37:51not able to fulfill our entire day because our bodies are so sluggish, and
- 37:57detoxing helps to give you energy. In a nutshet, I just wanted to
- 38:00share that it might be important to someone, and I just jumped in ast
- 38:06but I wanted to make sure that I share that. And it is,
- 38:09I mean, it is what you're what you are saying, it's it's very
- 38:15much needed. And and and one thing we have to understand, you know,
- 38:19Yeah, God plays all these different doctors, lawyers, different professions in
- 38:27place because he knew that we would need them one day, and and and
- 38:30we would need them for certain things. But guess what, they have license
- 38:35to practice. It don't mean that they they they they know everything. They
- 38:40are, they are testing this out, They're they're testing as they go.
- 38:45They're they're practicing. They have license to practice. So just as they have
- 38:51license to practice, He's given us. You know, if you look look
- 38:54in the Bible, you go over and and and pull out your Bible and
- 38:59open your Bible. He talks about these different berries and these different herbs.
- 39:04And these different things. You know, the earth is supposed to be able
- 39:07to heal us, and your body it will heal itself if you know how
- 39:14and what to do for it to do that. You know, and every
- 39:19selling your body, even your bones, will heal themselves in a certain amount
- 39:22of time. And I'm telling you knowing that and knowing the different herbs and
- 39:30knowing the different things, Like I hear people all the time talk about high
- 39:36blood pressure and sugar, diabetes and and and and all of these different things,
- 39:40and I go back and I look, and I'm looking. I'm like,
- 39:46they didn't have a lot of that back in back back in the in
- 39:51the days when they was just living out for because I don't remember my grandma
- 39:55and them talking about all that when they they was living out for. But
- 40:00they didn't have all this process food, all this stuff that we're able to
- 40:04indulge your now, these sodas and all this stuff. And that's the problem.
- 40:10It's nothing but chemical, yes, And that's what the problem lies.
- 40:15You know, a lot of times, you know, we get caught up
- 40:17in the in the pork, and we get caught up in the chicken,
- 40:21and we get caught up in what is in the food. But if we
- 40:29had a better quality of food, if food was handled differently, Because that's
- 40:36where the problem comes in, is the way the food is being handled.
- 40:40The reason I you know, just from my research and looking at it,
- 40:44and I think about it that way because you know, our grandmothers and grandfathers
- 40:49and their parents, they ate what they could get, but they had their
- 40:54own hands on it most of the time, and it didn't go through a
- 40:59lot of different problem sens to stay on the shelves longer and things like that.
- 41:02So that's what the problem is coming in, is the actual way we
- 41:07handle food and everything. I mean, come on, that's it. I
- 41:13grew up on a farm. We we we was on a farm down there,
- 41:15level land. We we we we we. We had pigs, we
- 41:20had chickens, we had cows, We grew corn, we grew green everything.
- 41:28Matter of fact, we used to go we used to go out to
- 41:30the Jackey lot on Saturdays and the cell our vegetables and our different stuff.
- 41:37Yeah, I was a little entrepreneur. I used to be out there with
- 41:39the apron on and and and and wehearing wearing the corn and wearing the green.
- 41:44That's right. I used to do that. The tomato, all of
- 41:47that and and stuff was different there, like I truly it was different,
- 41:52you know, even the meat. The water was different. But I remember
- 41:59going to the well and dropping that bucket down and in the well and drawing
- 42:05water coming out. And it's cold, it's already cold. And they have
- 42:12no ice or no nothing drink not. Man, I'm telling you, I
- 42:15missed them. Them, them them good old country days. Run out there
- 42:21to the smoke house, and and and and and grab some some meat that's
- 42:25being smoked like some jerk they making some jerkys or whatever. I missed them
- 42:30days. Yeah, so good. And those were some times, like we
- 42:37talked about all these different chemicals. They putting so many chemicals in and stuff
- 42:44now. And and like you say, it's not so much the food.
- 42:49It's it's how they process the food and what they do to the food.
- 42:53And if you can raise your own chickens, you can, yes, go
- 43:00ahead. I'm sorry. The supply and demand is the concern too, you
- 43:06know. They now they have to, you know, think about it.
- 43:09We got more people on the earth and everything. You know, people are
- 43:13are living longer and things like that, so the supplying demand has become increasingly
- 43:20important in the supply. They're trying to keep up with it and the demand,
- 43:24and so they have to do certain things. It doesn't make it right,
- 43:29but they do have to do certain things to meet the supply and demand
- 43:31because so they're taking a lot of shortcuts. They're taking a lot of shortcuts
- 43:37and doing things to so yeah, but yeah, I definitely have enjoyed chatting
- 43:46with you tonight. We're definitely gonna have to get you back on in the
- 43:51new year. What can we expect to see you doing in the new year.
- 43:55I heard you mentioned the TV show and the radio show. How can
- 44:00we connect? I know we have I have your website up. How can
- 44:07we connect to your TV and your radio show? Okay, well, the
- 44:14TV show is The Tippi Show, And on Facebook and TikTok and those social
- 44:21media platforms it's tippy t I, P P Y s h O The Tippi
- 44:28Show. You can connect there and you can see when what time I'm going
- 44:34to be aware and doing what and who how you can get on the show.
- 44:38You know, it is a it is a commercial based show, so
- 44:45there is some commercial slot opportunities. It isn't a small investment into your business,
- 44:52but you do have that option and you get in front a lot of
- 44:54people locally, but if you want on a bigger platfor Cool Rhythms ninety eight
- 45:04is the radio station that I've teamed up with, and I am actually one
- 45:07of their radio personalities and one of their DJs, And if you come over
- 45:14there and do anything, you can expect a lot of perks from the station
- 45:22and a lot of what You're in front a lot of people. I know
- 45:24Angelo's platforms are you're in front a lot of people as well, but you
- 45:29know, it's a lot of different angles that are being given to us at
- 45:32this in this season. So I'm trying to get people that want to come
- 45:37on that platform, and it's www dot Cool Rhythms ninety eight dot com.
- 45:45If you go there, you can actually make donations to some of my charities
- 45:50as well as the radio station's charities. We all believe in the same thing.
- 45:54The team is pretty solid and we believe that elder advocacy, children's advocacy,
- 46:02excuse me, and domestic violence are three of the things that can really
- 46:08tarnish a family. All of it can, but these are the ones that
- 46:15are near and dear to our hearts. So you can go there and make
- 46:19a donation and your donations will do a number of things, and you can
- 46:23do it there through PayPal, and the sight is secure. I wouldn't be
- 46:28sharing anything with you, and Angela can vouch for that that I hadn't already
- 46:31taken the time to check and make sure it is what it is. And
- 46:36you'll be in front of millions of viewers, billions of viewers. And I
- 46:39come on on Sunday nights right now, and I'm on from seven about seven
- 46:45till about eight thirty, and I have guests there as well, and I
- 46:49play all the hits, old school, old school hits, songs you hadn't
- 46:54heard since way back when that make you just think about the good time.
- 47:00I can do that, and I want to make sure that y'all know that
- 47:04that's what I'm gonna be doing a lot of in twenty twenty four. It's
- 47:08gonna be a platform that can put everything in one spot, even including Debbie's
- 47:14Got the TLLC will be there. You can also tune into anything. You
- 47:20can find everything right there. And as Angela was saying, you know,
- 47:23God does everything in his time, and he's not slow. And I'm gonna
- 47:28leave y'all with us. He's not moving slow, he's not moving incorrectly.
- 47:31He is not forgotten about what you and him talked about. And again,
- 47:37don't keep going back. If you talk to him once about it, you
- 47:40don't need to keep trying to remind him he heard you. If you believe
- 47:45he heard you, and he'll answer every single prayer that you have for yourself,
- 47:52for your family, He'll do all of it. But you can't keep
- 47:54taking it back. Every time you take it back, you reset the clock
- 48:00and it takes longer. Ask me how I know. So just don't reset
- 48:07the clock. Just leave it right there with him, and I promise you
- 48:09he'll see about it. So those are a couple of things that I'll be
- 48:13doing in twenty twenty four. I'll also be doing some more modeling. I
- 48:19am a fashion model with a fashion design corporation that is in Ecuador, and
- 48:27it just happens to be in memory of my mom, and it's called House
- 48:31of Patricia Ann's. You can find it on Instagram. And my uncle happens
- 48:37to be the designer and he makes these amazing gowns and I am one of
- 48:42the models. So you can look for more in fashion and things like that.
- 48:45In twenty twenty four, you can also look for more of deavid It's
- 48:49Got the Tea products. I'm still doing exactly what it is in that area
- 48:53that I feel like it's best in this season, and that's the herbal teas.
- 48:59If you're looking for something for your immune system, you're looking for something
- 49:01to keep you through this crazy season we're going through. If you're looking for
- 49:06something that is not going to have any I always tell people my products either
- 49:12work or they don't work. Most of the time they work, but if
- 49:17they don't work, you're not going to have any crazy side effects. So
- 49:22that's my disclaimer. And also I am the researcher, the marketer. Everything
- 49:29that goes through Debi's Got the Tea has to come through me first because it's
- 49:32me and I am right now the only employee of Debbi's Got the t I
- 49:37do have an intern that works with me at the store. Just giving a
- 49:42little nugget so y'all know a little bit about She asked me to tell you
- 49:45a little bit about it, so it took me a little while to get
- 49:49comfortable, but I'm gonna tell you a little bit about the business. Real
- 49:52quick. My intern is Zamil Lockhart and Zamia is my god daughter, and
- 50:00through Debbit's Got the Tea, we'd like to offer ways of giving back to
- 50:02the community. And while she's interning there, I show her all the ins
- 50:07and outs of business, including good customer service. If you go to Google
- 50:13and check out Debit's Got the t LLC, you'll see that we have a
- 50:16five star review from the beginning of opening of the store up until present day.
- 50:22And that's because customer service is in quality products that you can trust.
- 50:28Are the two things that we live by. That is our mission statement.
- 50:31And teachers I mill how to be a good employee and expect something from her
- 50:39employer is what she's learning in the store. So when you come by,
- 50:45if you come and visit, be sure to greet up with a warm smile.
- 50:50And she's doing an amazing job. I just wanted to shout her out
- 50:52in case she is watching. And I really appreciate, appreciate you, and
- 50:57I can't not finish up with saying this if it was not for my daughters
- 51:06and the woman that I aspire to be in their presence in their life and
- 51:15show them that no matter what they want, it is obtainable if they don't
- 51:19give up. If nothing else, that's what I aspire to be. And
- 51:25I want to say to them in case they're watching, I love you and
- 51:30I appreciate you and everything you do to make me the woman that I am.
- 51:36I could not do it without you. I would not be who I
- 51:38am without you, and I love both of you, so Angela, I
- 51:43wanted to do all of that real quick. I hope it didn't go over
- 51:46our time. And if anyone has any questions for me about anything, you
- 51:52can always reach me. I'm gonna give a phone number real quick, eight
- 51:57six y four, and I should have got it to Angler earlier. Eight
- 52:00six' four three one four eight four five to two. That is the
- 52:07number to get in touch with the store, to get in touch with me.
- 52:13I do answer all my calls within twenty four to forty eight hours.
- 52:15And again, there's so much that you'll be seeing. Follow the website.
- 52:23If you follow the website, that's where I will try my best to post
- 52:28anything pertaining to Davis Got the t Follow the Tippi Show, Follow Cool Rhythms
- 52:34ninety eight to hear the best music, old school, news, school,
- 52:37whatever you've been thinking about you can actually call into and I'll get that information
- 52:43to Angela for a later day, and hopefully you'll tune in and check out
- 52:47your newest DJ, DJ Tippy from the Tippie Show. And I appreciate each
- 52:53of you listening in. I hope you took something from this that will help
- 52:59you to be better, not later on, just right now. Lits my
- 53:02own nuggets, That's what I'm about. Wow, Well, you've definitely shared
