Transcript
- 0:00Hello then it's time for most things Kenobi.
- 0:03Shouldn't it be all things Kenobi.
- 0:06Hmm. Hi everyone.
- 0:19Welcome to another episode of most things Kenobi.
- 0:21A podcast about Obi-Wan Kenobi in all things Star Wars.
- 0:24I'm your host Leanne and I'm your host Lauren in this week,
- 0:29although This week, it's your episode girl.
- 0:34This is a spiritual moment for all of us but most of all for me
- 0:38and I just re-watched, the scene we're about to talk about, we
- 0:41are dedicating this entire episode 21 scene from Rogue one.
- 0:49The one scene from Rogue one and that is the Vader hallway
- 0:53Massacre scene. Some of the greatest minutes in
- 0:58cinematic history proved me wrong.
- 1:05Seriously. It's so it's okay that scene is
- 1:09one of my top scenes ever in all of Star Wars.
- 1:14It is so effective and so much fun.
- 1:17Yes. And it's scary as hell.
- 1:19Yes it holds true to the character the as we know it and
- 1:25it evokes such Horrific fear. I remember seeing it for the
- 1:29first time in the theater opening night.
- 1:33With my friends who understand my love for Star Wars, but I
- 1:37don't think they realized until that night, like, how deep it
- 1:42was, you know, they're kind of newish friends but not, you
- 1:46know, not forever friends who get it right.
- 1:49Yeah. And when I started bawling the
- 1:52minute like the lightsaber ignites and illuminates, the
- 1:57figure the silhouette of Vader himself I started right?
- 2:01I felt the burning in my eyes and Then the absolute.
- 2:06I mean, I don't even know the proper word for how he just
- 2:10completely annihilates everyone in that hallway and traps them,
- 2:13Cuts them in half and those Rebel.
- 2:16The rebel crewmates are like frantic.
- 2:20They did such a good job and I just started bawling and that's
- 2:23when my friend looked over and was like I just are you, is this
- 2:28normal? And I will just give me a minute
- 2:32because we never Really had a Vader scene like that, not in no
- 2:37Cinema. I mean we know Vader's badass
- 2:39for all these like implied reasons, right?
- 2:42Right then we got to know Anakin more in the Clone Wars
- 2:45television show which built some depth, but this scene just like
- 2:50you said effective. Yeah, I would say the closest is
- 2:54his duel with Luke at Empire Strikes.
- 2:56Back like the second half of the Dual.
- 2:59Yeah. He's just swiping it about
- 3:01smashing the wall and it's like, You can tell his emotions are up
- 3:05as well. And that's when it's kind of
- 3:07like it's not even careful anymore.
- 3:09He is just like trying to cut Luke in half.
- 3:11He's just whipping that saber around and going for it, going
- 3:16for the full anger, the full anger moment and but he's off
- 3:20the chain in the hallway scene before we get too into it.
- 3:25I got to control myself on this episode because I will go too
- 3:30far in many ways, but he's controlled and just effective at
- 3:38just Just he knows that there's no threat here.
- 3:42No, there is it. He's almost gonna deal with this
- 3:45shit. It's almost like just another
- 3:47day for him. Hmm.
- 3:49And they all have blasters doesn't matter.
- 3:52That moment with the blasters where he rips them all out of
- 3:55their hands. Yes, that to me, I had been
- 3:58waiting like I just have always felt like why don't Jedi just
- 4:03disarm people? Yeah, you know like why don't
- 4:05they just yeah pull the weapons out of their hands or like,
- 4:08apparently, you can turn people. Lightsabers off like with the
- 4:11force. So why don't they just with that
- 4:13to each other? Be effective?
- 4:15It's not fun, it's not interesting but like you could.
- 4:20So when he does that he liked reaches, that just pulls all of
- 4:23the blasters away from everybody and they're just like, oh fuck.
- 4:27That was one of my favorite Parts because finally it takes a
- 4:33Sith Lord, right? Right.
- 4:36And he is in full Sith Lord mode.
- 4:40And interestingly enough, you mentioned how he pulls The
- 4:46Blasters all at once, right? And that's a move, straight on a
- 4:49strikes back. I mean, he pulls Hans Blaster
- 4:52right out of his hand and at the dinner table scene, if you will,
- 4:56and Gareth Edwards actually was quoted saying that they didn't
- 5:00recreate or give Vader anything new.
- 5:02Everything he does in that scene is stuff.
- 5:05We've seen him, do or like Lucas had said, He's done or it was
- 5:10implied somewhere, you know, stuff like that.
- 5:12They didn't reinvent the wheel. They just took a character who's
- 5:15known for what he did in that scene and and let him do it.
- 5:19Yeah. And it was all, so gratifying.
- 5:21Oh my God. I felt the fear that those Rebel
- 5:26especially the last crew. Yes.
- 5:29The crew member who was like pounding on the door.
- 5:31Let us out. Help us like.
- 5:34Yeah, that's the kind of fear you feel when Vader is anywhere
- 5:38near you. Honestly, like my blood pressure
- 5:40goes up, just even thinking about it because, no, it was
- 5:44taste /. It was like perfect pacing, it
- 5:47was perfect editing, and really good acting so, like, especially
- 5:51that last guy who gets the card and goes like stumbling into the
- 5:56room and get grabs the lever. And screams launch like by, then
- 6:01I'm my heart is pounding and I've seen it a hundred times and
- 6:05it still does it to me every time.
- 6:07And it's because it's so Well, edited, I have chills as you're
- 6:12talking about it, I'm not joking, the heat's on.
- 6:14And here, I'm wearing a long sleeve, it's chills from what
- 6:18you just said, the Frantic nature that they feel because
- 6:22really what they're doing is trying to get those damn Death
- 6:25Star plans to Leia and get them out of there because Vader wants
- 6:29them. That's it like that's what.
- 6:32Yeah catapults the entire original trilogy.
- 6:35So as a standalone movie you and I have said, Rogue one is the
- 6:41best. Yeah.
- 6:43Oh, my gosh, it's excellent. And it's not just for this
- 6:45scene. We love this scene enough to
- 6:48talk about it for 30 whole minutes, but it wouldn't, it was
- 6:54supported by such a well-made film anyway, Well, what you said
- 6:58about Gareth Edwards. That it was a no Maj, yes,
- 7:01right. It was like all the things that
- 7:03you love out of the original trilogy.
- 7:05He's just elevating it a bit with newer technology but so
- 7:09like it's cinematically a little bit more believable.
- 7:13I guess. I don't even know if you would
- 7:15say that. Like, there's better special
- 7:17effects will put it that way? Yeah.
- 7:18Because like, you know, an original Star Wars is, like,
- 7:21shake the camera and like throw water across, what'd she do
- 7:25with, that's a great to it. Kudos to those filmmakers,
- 7:29because they made that, you know?
- 7:31Yeah, I mean, what, what is it? Is it, like need is the root of
- 7:36invention or something like yeah.
- 7:38We're like, yes, you create things when there is no
- 7:44solution, you create the solution and that's what old old
- 7:47fashioned. Quote-unquote filmmaking was now
- 7:49we can just add stuff in digitally but back then you'd
- 7:52have to be so creative and I loved that.
- 7:55Gareth Edwards paid. That omage to the original
- 7:58trilogy and it really shows like the entire movie.
- 8:02Really just feels like an extension of the original Star
- 8:06Wars that we grew up loving. Well, it had to seamlessly
- 8:10literally seamlessly blend into the very beginning of a new hope
- 8:14which Vader and his Stormtroopers walk through the
- 8:19blown out door that the plans had just been rushed through,
- 8:24right? And Leia and the others escape.
- 8:27And Vader, you know, with the cape whooshing in the
- 8:31background, don't you? Love that lasts Beyond same own
- 8:35standing. Yeah.
- 8:36He has a fan the fan, the fan that Beyonce always has yes a
- 8:41wall of little Spotlight cell behind him.
- 8:43Like I do love it though because you know how pissed she is, you
- 8:49know, the deep-seated seething rage that he has that he somehow
- 8:54flawlessly mauled down all of these people and Still, they
- 8:58still got away, they want up to have and he's standing there
- 9:01watching that carrier, you know, fly away.
- 9:05Yeah. And he's just, you know,
- 9:07somewhere in there, and a case going, these goddamn
- 9:09motherfuckers are gonna pay. You know, well, I felt fear for
- 9:14the first time ever around Vader watching that, that scene was
- 9:18the first time I ever felt like, really afraid of him before he
- 9:22was like, fascinating, he's the like scary villain, but I was
- 9:26never like I didn't ever feel fear this scene changes, all
- 9:32that it like you said, it shows him in his ultimate, you know,
- 9:37scariest controlled rage where. Yeah, no regard.
- 9:42Oh your daddy, anybody in that hallway, zero regard that guy
- 9:46who gets like forced pushed up under the ceiling.
- 9:49And then he just cuts him in when I when I saw that for the
- 9:53first time. I was so happy I could have I've
- 9:57jumped up in that theater and just said, thank you because
- 10:01that is everything I've ever wanted to see from Vader.
- 10:06That ruthlessness that he cut someone in half while he held
- 10:13him on the ceiling. I mean, Well, then the like the
- 10:19way he like, kind of, like, hacks through the people, you'd
- 10:22never see that ever. And so what that's effective.
- 10:26This is effective, character directing whatever you want to
- 10:30call it because Vader can't lift his arms up because of that
- 10:33suit. Yeah, the the shoulder metal the
- 10:37you know, the shoulder placket thing, he wears and the fact
- 10:41that he has metal forearms, he's stuck to swinging kind of at his
- 10:46waist. Right?
- 10:47And so they kept him doing that. But they did it in such a way
- 10:52that it was, it made it even more.
- 10:53Ruthless, that he's literally just blowing down everyone in
- 10:57his path. It's so good.
- 11:01I'm lightheaded. I'm not breathing.
- 11:05As I talked about this, it is one of the finest pieces of
- 11:11film. I'll stop.
- 11:16I really like it. It's so good.
- 11:19It's so good. So Let's talk about the method
- 11:22in which they did it, because I am fascinated by how it.
- 11:26Well, first of all, for those who don't know, and I think most
- 11:29of you do this, scene wasn't even going to be included in
- 11:31Rogue one. I didn't know that, I didn't
- 11:35know. Oh my goodness, it wasn't even
- 11:37meant. And Gareth Edwards.
- 11:39Took a look at the edited film parts that they had and said,
- 11:42you know what Vader? Isn't badass enough.
- 11:46We got to do something, shoot something that really displays
- 11:50him at his Right? So, let's Vader in the film, The
- 11:54Original cut because I know that, I know this movie went
- 11:58through like iterations, because remember, there was, like, all
- 12:00this footage that was released in a trailer that then wasn't
- 12:03exactly. Yeah.
- 12:04And there's footage of Saw gerrera, having like, two
- 12:07different. Looks like totally different
- 12:09appearances that they re shot all his stuff.
- 12:12Yeah. For the better like all the
- 12:14changes. I think it came out as like, a
- 12:16beautiful finished product, but I always wondered if Vader was
- 12:19always intended to be in the Movie or yeah, definitely not
- 12:23this seen it. He just wanted something.
- 12:26That was scary. Like Vader, scary mission
- 12:30accomplished mission accomplished.
- 12:34He brought the idea to Kathleen Kennedy.
- 12:37She gave it the stamp of approval and they shot it in
- 12:39three days. Wow.
- 12:41And a lot of it was late manipulation because they had
- 12:45them all in a hallway, you know? And his entrance, his grand
- 12:50entrance. So good this bastard loves a
- 12:55good entrance, these Skywalker's their whole life revolves around
- 13:00impactful entrances, I don't care, Luke Vader, Leia, they all
- 13:05all of them. So they illuminate, the
- 13:08lightsaber and Gareth Edwards actually had an actual
- 13:11lightsaber light up. It wasn't bright enough.
- 13:14So he, you know, they kind of added to it and then smoked up
- 13:18behind Vader so that it would illuminate his silhouette Wet.
- 13:22And so that was like how they so they actually had a lightsaber
- 13:27on a toy makeshift. Hmm, where is that prop?
- 13:32Now, I want to know because I will buy it probably in a
- 13:37dumpster somewhere or here at headquarters basement, because
- 13:40that's what I would do with if I was the director.
- 13:41Yeah. Or the guy who was in the Vader
- 13:44suit gets to take it home. Exactly.
- 13:47And what he did was The way he went into the scene and this is
- 13:53Gareth Edwards saying, this is that he wanted visual
- 13:55Milestones. So he pieced together.
- 13:59All the things he wanted to see and then made them like Blended
- 14:03them together. So they use the old filming
- 14:05styles that are used in the original trilogy and used it
- 14:09with the scenes, like showing the rebels and then showing
- 14:13Vader. And then longer seems mixed with
- 14:15tight ones that, you know, make your heart race and, you know,
- 14:19and then boom. The end.
- 14:22It's so good. It's so intro, great.
- 14:25Shows such like even even though I guess you it wasn't plan.
- 14:30I was going to say, it shows for thought but like obviously it
- 14:33was kind of thrown in at the last minute, but it shows a
- 14:36really deep understanding of like First of all cinematography
- 14:43and cinematic like effective editing, God bless this crew of
- 14:47P hundred percent and not to Discount.
- 14:53Gareth Edwards editor I don't know how to pronounce his name
- 14:58job. A Jabez Jabez Olsen.
- 15:04Apologies, if I'm mispronouncing it.
- 15:06But when they were cutting, the film Olsen said, Vader needs to
- 15:09be more badass and Gareth Edwards said, same?
- 15:12Say no more. So it was, they were cutting it.
- 15:16Doing it and said, something's missing, we need more Vader.
- 15:19And Olson said he suggested that Vader.
- 15:22Just wasn't badass enough so it's not doing it like go on a
- 15:28negative tangent, but the editors are so important and
- 15:32they're Undervalued but I think mostly by I would say the
- 15:38consumer. Right?
- 15:40And a really good example to me is how the editing is in the TV
- 15:46shows like the Star Wars shows. Its you can tell they're like
- 15:52not Cinema level like full-blown filmmaking editors doing it and
- 16:00it's not like it's bad. But some of it is not great.
- 16:05It's a different level. It's a different.
- 16:07It is level of expectation, I think?
- 16:10Yeah, for sure and I'm sure budget has a lot to do with it.
- 16:12True. And the way stuff is filmed can
- 16:15make it difficult to edit it together, but there are certain
- 16:18like just there are certain movies and I would say, Empire
- 16:23Strikes Back and Rogue one are both beautifully edited and you
- 16:27know that because on a subconscious level you're having
- 16:31like Oil responses to what you're seeing on the screen like
- 16:37blood pressure Rising, for example are like you're always
- 16:40nervous every time you watch it even though you've seen it over
- 16:42and over and that's how you know.
- 16:44It's like really perfectly edited regarding the camera
- 16:48shots and how they edited it and how they decided to do it.
- 16:52Edwards wanted them all in a hallway because that's just fear
- 16:55inducing right there. I mean claustrophobia and the
- 16:58doors just close on either end they have nowhere to go, nowhere
- 17:01to go and it's the the door. Just barely wedges enough to get
- 17:05that card the disk the plans through and he says quote, we
- 17:13tried to do a mixture of the very classical very considered
- 17:16camera moves. You know, that you saw in the
- 17:18original trilogy and then sort of more frenetic, handheld.
- 17:21ELD sort of embedded Photography in the sequence.
- 17:25I really like the way it's sort of inner Cuts both Styles and I
- 17:28think that contrast is what keeps it energetic.
- 17:30And energetic is an understatement Gareth energetic,
- 17:35meaning blood pressure Rising, so good.
- 17:40I mean, we know that they get the plans to Leo, we know we've
- 17:46seen a new hope and every time I'm still like they going to get
- 17:49that card through the door. Hey, is it gonna happen?
- 17:53And of course, lest we forget that the entire movie ends with
- 17:59like they Leia standing there being yeah, digitally recreated
- 18:05with the help of a body double. But how beautiful, right.
- 18:09I also cried during that but I was already crying from the
- 18:12Vader scene. I was so happy.
- 18:15I was so overjoyed. It was I was weeping anyway.
- 18:20It was good. It was.
- 18:22It's like the things you as a Star Wars fan.
- 18:26It's those moments that are so like they're like a gift,
- 18:30they're fleeting and precious. Yes.
- 18:32Because as a fan, you love what you've you've got.
- 18:36Like, if you're an original trilogy fan, you have that love
- 18:39for that. If you're sequels fan of
- 18:41prequels fan, whatever you grew up with is very dear to Your
- 18:43Heart, Right? And so we all have our
- 18:46headcanons And our wishes of what we could someday see, you
- 18:50know. But maybe you'll get a piece of
- 18:51fan art that looks like what you've always wanted.
- 18:54I will go to see something happen like this.
- 18:57That's like in Canon fully cinematic full budget behind it,
- 19:03towed it just it's such a rewarding gift, is it is I feel
- 19:08so silly to feel so grateful for it.
- 19:10But well, I know what happened. We're talking about a murder
- 19:14scene and it's like, kind of it's, it's There's a do Duality
- 19:18here of like it's so great. We love watching it.
- 19:21It's the most amazing scene. Except everyone dies like it's
- 19:25awful, it's so off, but that's the beautiful juxtaposition.
- 19:30Like it's the Vader. We always wanted that.
- 19:33We got him. Yeah, but we never saw and they
- 19:36did it in like how many minutes a minute and 50 seconds.
- 19:39That's all how, you know, give or take.
- 19:42But that's how long the scene is.
- 19:43And that's all that's needed. That's how well does, yes.
- 19:47Yes, less is more. You don't have to overdo it,
- 19:49make it heavy handed, I think it was perfect.
- 19:51It was like What? He described.
- 19:53It's definitely that perfect balance and not everyone is able
- 19:58to achieve that. So it's like super kudos to him
- 20:02for, I like him. I think he's a great director so
- 20:06good and he's got a little cameo in, is it the last Jedi, he's in
- 20:12it? He's in one of those trenches.
- 20:14Yeah, we're he touches such as the The soil and licks it and he
- 20:18goes mmm, salty. Which everyone was saying is a
- 20:21comment about the audience because we're all very salty.
- 20:26I do not disagree. Yeah.
- 20:28Yeah. I'm salty.
- 20:32Salty. I think Edward should have
- 20:35Gareth Edwards. Should have been invited to do
- 20:38more? Because I think I do, I do
- 20:40tastic. Maybe was, we don't know, but
- 20:43Spirit, but it would be sweet if he did the and, or series.
- 20:47He that would, that would actually that makes the most
- 20:51sense, huh? Yeah, I guess.
- 20:55Gareth Edwards. He chose the final escape
- 20:58sequence to give himself a small cameo role.
- 21:02Really? I don't know which one he is.
- 21:04He says, quote, I wanted to have a cameo in the film because I
- 21:07love Star Wars so much, but I was saving it for the right
- 21:10thing. So he's in that scene somewhere,
- 21:13Lucky in the hallway with Vader is what it says.
- 21:18I have to re-watch it and see if I can recognize him.
- 21:22I mean it's his quote, so lucky bastard.
- 21:25You know, hey when you're the director, you can do whatever
- 21:27you want. I would totally put myself in
- 21:28that scene, I would want to be the one cut in half.
- 21:34I volunteer, listen, if I'm gonna get completely just mowed
- 21:38down by Vader. I want to be thrown to the
- 21:42ceiling held there by his force abilities and then just sliced
- 21:46in half, This is like how I want a viking funeral.
- 21:52This is house. I want a bitter hallway death
- 21:58lest we forget that I did the damn with my two very, very best
- 22:04friends. I did the the the virtual
- 22:09reality experience at down in Florida and Vader steps out
- 22:16towards you. I mean this is virtual reality.
- 22:18Ality. So he's literally coming towards
- 22:20you. And I'll I just dropped the prop
- 22:23gun that they get the Blaster that they gave us.
- 22:25And I said, take me, and I'm shouting this into a void of
- 22:28nothing and my two friends. I can hear them laughing next to
- 22:31me, even like through the sound and the blasting and all the
- 22:34like, and I'm just that would have been fine by me.
- 22:37So what a way to go way to go. Anyway, the purpose of all of
- 22:44this is to get the damn Death Star plans to Leia.
- 22:47But did you know, here I am coming at you with another fact.
- 22:52That they didn't really have a prop to go off of that thing
- 22:56that lay a sticks into R2D2. I guess there's no prop that
- 23:00remains from A New Hope and truth.
- 23:02So all they had to go off of was like the Blu-ray image that
- 23:05screenshot of her like zoomed in her hand giving it to R2-D2.
- 23:10And so, they were like, well it kind of looks like this.
- 23:13So let's try and fashion something close to it.
- 23:15And now they like, I would love to have that as a prop in my fan
- 23:19room. Oh yeah, those are Awesome.
- 23:21So cool. You know, it's funny because in
- 23:24the like the radio drama and even in the book because I'm
- 23:27actually reading the original book, they call them, the tapes,
- 23:32the tapes have been recorded and I was like, oh, that's cute 70s
- 23:37of them, right. So I can't, hey, I grew up with
- 23:45tape. I mean, it's technically.
- 23:48I mean, it looks like I mean not to age myself but it looks like
- 23:54a floppy disk drive. Yes it does floppy disk that you
- 23:58put into a disk drive. Oh I had I had those for one
- 24:03year in college. I had those and then everything
- 24:07changed and you could buy a one gigabyte, thumb drive.
- 24:12They called it right? For like, $100 per gig
- 24:16expensive. I know.
- 24:17Yeah, guys, nuts. Yeah, how much is it?
- 24:20The Death Star plans would run if it was, it was in today's
- 24:24currency. Well, depends.
- 24:26Are they a full terabyte or not? Because that's a good.
- 24:30That's a good question. Yeah, it's probably not that
- 24:34expensive. Depending on probably not, I
- 24:37made their just architectural plans, right?
- 24:41With a secret embedded in them. Yeah, but it's still like a
- 24:44picture. It's just a, it's just a damn.
- 24:52It's a PDF. That's all it is Edwards.
- 24:56Made sure to include only things Vader has done like we mentioned
- 25:01earlier like they didn't reinvent anything or give him
- 25:04new powers. The sequence were all things
- 25:06that have been done in previous films, Force choking levitating,
- 25:10people levitating objects slashing with a lightsaber And
- 25:16that's it. I think that comment about
- 25:18writing on the top of a TIE fighter like, he didn't Rebels.
- 25:22That was a bit extra the entrances of a Skywalker.
- 25:27No, no, bounce. As long as the cave is swishing,
- 25:33Luke's. Always wearing a cape when he
- 25:34makes his dramatic entrances. Yeah, it's a thing.
- 25:38It runs in the family. I don't know.
- 25:41That Leah ever wore a cloak, but she had that, she had that like
- 25:45the hood. She had that collar popped
- 25:48collar in The Last Jedi. That was, oh yeah, that was
- 25:51great. I love that you're out.
- 25:53Like wrapped around her. Yes face.
- 25:55Yeah. Okay.
- 25:56So the same two friends I was talking about down in Florida,
- 25:59You Know Who You Are. Yeah, I know you listening.
- 26:02They have a Chihuahua who oftentimes buries herself in her
- 26:06bed and has a blanket and only like the bottom half of her face
- 26:10is covered. And I will get a text saying
- 26:13it's léa léa from The Last Jedi with the popped collar and I can
- 26:18see the resemblance. Yeah, being a damn, princess Eva
- 26:25General? Yeah.
- 26:27Galactic Diva. Yes.
- 26:29Yes. What do you make a sticker with?
- 26:30Out with her hair on it, we'll do it.
- 26:34Let's do it. We you and I are glad take Divas
- 26:38bitch. That's right.
- 26:40I mean, I'm staying at the star Cruiser Hotel down in Florida in
- 26:43April. I will officially be a galactic
- 26:45Diva after that shit, seriously. Oh my God, please send me lots
- 26:50of pictures because I would also be very poor afterwards.
- 26:56All seven of us staying, there will be I know you gotta win the
- 27:00lotto. So, if you want to go to that
- 27:02hotel, if you had to narrow it down to one moment in that
- 27:06hallway, that was your favorite moment.
- 27:11What would it be? Could you do it?
- 27:13I don't know if I can. I mean there are a several
- 27:16moments in there that I hmm I love I would say though, that.
- 27:21Yeah, the moment we pulls all the guns out of everyone's hand
- 27:24and just like slashes his way through the people.
- 27:28That that moment I was just Like holy shit.
- 27:31They're going for it. They're really doing it.
- 27:34They went all-in and they did it so well.
- 27:36Yeah. That would be mine.
- 27:40As much as I love the guy getting cut in half.
- 27:44I mean, it's all the pomp I want from my sister.
- 27:47Lord terrible. It's awful.
- 27:49My favorite part because it gets me every single time, Is the
- 27:55rebel person. The rebel guy who's pounding on
- 28:00the door. Say how about us?
- 28:02Yeah, that is whoever that man is, and I'm sorry, I don't know
- 28:06his name right now. Thank you, sir, for making that
- 28:10so believable. Yeah.
- 28:13But could you imagine being an actor in the hallway scene, with
- 28:16that coming toward you? It wouldn't be fake, I would be
- 28:19afraid anyway. Oh yeah, when I was playing my
- 28:23VR Vader game, Mmmmm. Yeah, the door opens and fader
- 28:26walks right up to I. Yeah, it was scary.
- 28:29It was actually really scary. Visually he's extremely
- 28:32imposing. He's huge.
- 28:34He's like seven feet tall. Yeah, because his metal legs and
- 28:37all that shit, but like, yeah, then you add the what he's doing
- 28:41and he's doing so effortlessly. So conditioned, you know?
- 28:47Yeah. A master at his craft, all in
- 28:51one hallway scene. Yeah thank you.
- 28:54Gareth my God. Thank you all of you.
- 28:56Thank you. From the bottom of my blackened
- 29:01heart. Thank your stone-cold heart.
- 29:06I love a good hallway. Murder scene, that's terrible.
- 29:15Good place to end it as a great place.
- 29:17And yes, okay. The question for our viewers and
- 29:26listeners and lovers this week is, Is.
- 29:29If you had to pick one moment from that hallway scene, what
- 29:35were you most impressed with? What?
- 29:36What scared you tell us? I like that.
