- 0:31you worship, what you worship, who you love.

- 1:21Opinions expressed in this program are those of the
- 1:24speakers and do not necessarily reflect the views or positions
- 1:29of any entities they represent. Welcome to Veteran Talk with
- 1:33Magic Mike, where what's important to you is important to
- 1:37us. Let's talk.
- 1:40I'm your host, Magic Mike, and today we're diving deep into
- 1:43something close to my heart, how sharing your story and getting
- 1:47behind the mic can be a powerful form of rehabilitation, whether
- 1:51you're fresh out of Service 20. Years.
- 1:54It's been 20 years since we saw each other in Iraq and he.
- 1:57Looks. Older.
- 1:58And personal. Now, we're not all poets or
- 2:00motivational speakers, but you'd be amazed at how therapeutic it
- 2:04can be just to talk. One thing I've learned is that
- 2:07every story has value. Doesn't matter if you were on
- 2:10the front lines or behind a desk.
- 2:12Your experience is worth sharing.
- 2:14And trust me, somebody out there needs to hear it.
- 2:17Broadcasting gives us a way to say, hey, this is who I am and
- 2:21this is what I've been through. It bridges gaps, builds
- 2:25community and creates new purpose.
- 2:28And here we are. We are live.
- 2:31I don't know what's going on in the H train.
- 2:33We're live here on Veterans Talk with Yours truly, DJ Magic mic,
- 2:36H train in the studio there. I mean, I don't know why my mic
- 2:39looks like it's all up in my grill.
- 2:41What's going on H train? Not much, man.
- 2:44Not much. And how, how's the last time
- 2:47that we spoke to you? The, the weather?
- 2:50The weather, Yeah. It was bad.
- 2:52It was real bad. Yeah.
- 2:53We had real bad weather for for a couple days, man.
- 2:55And then now we ain't got no, no rain at all, man.
- 2:58It's like crazy. So we're we're here in Colorado
- 3:03for the last two or three days it's been raining so.
- 3:06Yeah, we need that rain. You just said that rain for just
- 3:08here feels. Like, feels like we're
- 3:12definitely Seattle right now. That's the truth.
- 3:15We need it bad, man. It's like no rain.
- 3:17It's like the pollen's killing me right now.
- 3:18But yeah, it's all good, man. Yeah, we got a pretty cool show
- 3:21today for you. We're going to talk a little bit
- 3:22about the digital divide on, you know, the different errors of
- 3:27the veterans and stuff like that.
- 3:28You know, the VA is now requiring you to do everything
- 3:31online and, you know, social media and all this other crazy
- 3:34stuff. And what about the older
- 3:36generation? Are they being left behind,
- 3:38right, or the generation that even the younger generation, I
- 3:42mean, you know, a lot of people just don't like doing that.
- 3:45You know, whole thing on the on the Internet and and, and stuff.
- 3:48And it's, it's, it's going to be a pretty decent show.
- 3:52Just found out we got a new Pope.
- 3:54The first time ever in the history that AUS born American
- 3:59is been elected as Pope. How about that?
- 4:04Well, congratulations. I don't know him, but
- 4:06congratulations. So first American poop ever in
- 4:11history, so that's kind of cool. Just so you know, Magic Mark, we
- 4:15have something new that that we've been playing with here in
- 4:20the last couple of days. If you hear all of a sudden like
- 4:25you heard earlier, like it was like a fart noise.
- 4:30Yeah. So basically because I, I can't,
- 4:33we can't monitor two places at once.
- 4:37That's TikTok. So if somebody goes to TikTok
- 4:41and they want to watch the show and they want to comment,
- 4:44they'll comment and we'll hear it and that and it plays a sound
- 4:49and a sound effect. It's a new, new thing that we
- 4:52have set up. All righty, well, you heard
- 4:55first right there from H train in the studio there.
- 4:57It's a new thing that we set up. So if you hear somebody passing
- 5:00gas, it's not me or H train. It's TikTok trying to trying to
- 5:03answer something. So hello to all my TikTok users
- 5:05out there all the way, people that follow us on TikTok, all
- 5:08the veterans out there. Again, this shows for you.
- 5:10Obviously, if you want to call in to show, the phone number is
- 5:12720-619-0627. Again, that phone number is
- 5:17720-619-0627. You can call us live, be on the
- 5:21show if you want to. So, yeah, couple things going on
- 5:25in the world, right? I mean, just every day has been
- 5:28been something different. Prime Minister sat down with the
- 5:30president and talking about the tariffs.
- 5:33Hopefully we'll get those tariffs, you know, knocked out
- 5:35of the way and get everything going the way it needs to go.
- 5:38The Dow Jones was actually up a little bit today, which was kind
- 5:41of crazy. 400, five, 160 points. It went up as he as he announced
- 5:48that there was a deal with the UK on their trade trade deal.
- 5:51That's kind of cool. I mean, you know, we all want to
- 5:53see everybody's money go up and stuff and, you know, yeah, I'm
- 5:57dying. These allergies are really
- 5:58killing me. Again, like I said, the Pope, we
- 6:01got a new new Pope. First time ever in history that
- 6:04AUS born American has been elected Pope.
- 6:08That's kind of kind of crazy, kind of cool.
- 6:10He speaks like 10 different languages.
- 6:14We got a call. You know, that's that's when you
- 6:18hear that that means that our our live has been shared.
- 6:23Well, there you go. Yeah, with all these freaking
- 6:25noises. Can't we just have a freaking
- 6:26God Dang son of a bitching motherfucking show and not have
- 6:30some fucking bullshit like that? So those of you don't know me
- 6:33know that I have Tourette symptoms, so I apologize to you
- 6:36out there. My Tourettes kicks in every now.
- 6:38And then aren't you fucking at sunshine today, Jesus.
- 6:43Hey there. He's a little rayish sunshine.
- 6:46Yeah, that's crazy, man. Anyways, yeah, the digital
- 6:49divide, man. So, you know, here we are with
- 6:52the VA. Now, the VA requires you to do a
- 6:53lot of things. Like I'll give you an example.
- 6:55I had to cancel. Oh, my God, this is a nightmare.
- 6:57I had to cancel appointment that I had with the VA and I have
- 7:01ongoing appointments, right. So I had to cancel one of the
- 7:04appointments and I, I called and, and they, they kept putting
- 7:07me, this person, that person get disconnect, this person.
- 7:10I go, man, it's like an hour before my appointment.
- 7:12I'm trying to cancel it, right? So anyway, so I finally, I, I
- 7:16went online and I just wrote an e-mail, right?
- 7:18Or, or you go on to your va.gov now and you can write your
- 7:22provider a, a message, right? And they get the message and
- 7:25then they can respond or whatever.
- 7:26They really don't get the message.
- 7:28It's for their fiance that gets the message or whatever.
- 7:30So, so I wrote a message and everything like that.
- 7:32I still get a phone call and they're like, hey, you missed
- 7:34your appointment. I'm like, no, I didn't, I tried
- 7:36to cancel it like a couple hours before I started the
- 7:38appointment. So yeah, the digital divide, I
- 7:40mean, even though it's good and I got it, it's supposed to be
- 7:43for the best interest of, of the veterans.
- 7:46It doesn't always work that way. I mean, some people get
- 7:48frustrated, you know, I, I personally don't like, you know,
- 7:52getting 25,000 million phone calls telling me that I'm, I
- 7:55have an appointment coming up and you know, I don't like the,
- 7:58the text messages either. So I, I have, like I said,
- 8:02ongoing appointments with the VA and I'll get a e-mail H train
- 8:08and then I'll get a text message the very next minute or so.
- 8:11And then I'll get a text message a day of the day before, a week
- 8:14before. Hey, reminder you got, I mean,
- 8:16they remind you like a million times on text messages.
- 8:19It's just, it's a most annoying thing.
- 8:22It's like, and then they send you something in the mail.
- 8:24Oh, by the way, you have a, a, a like save the money, man, Jeez,
- 8:29gosh, man. I mean, just take that money and
- 8:31put it somewhere else besides there.
- 8:33It's, it's just ridiculous. So, but yeah, so the the divide
- 8:37is is huge though, you know, 'cause you no.
- 8:39And I and I agree. I mean, you know, right now the,
- 8:44the divide is huge on, on society.
- 8:47You know, everybody wants everybody to be so hooked onto
- 8:53their phone, like if you go to Sam's Club or go to Walmart,
- 8:57like. Let me interrupt you real quick.
- 8:58That shit's going to hurt. That shit is going to hurt.
- 9:01That is going to hurt real bad for a couple days.
- 9:03Matter of fact, I just had a little bird go full blast into
- 9:06my window and I watched him bounce off and kind of shook it
- 9:10off like he flew away. I know that's just going to give
- 9:13me a headache. Go ahead.
- 9:14I'm sorry. So yeah.
- 9:15So the divide is real. Yeah, you're absolutely right.
- 9:18You know, they want you to everywhere you go now, it's, you
- 9:21know, even McDonald's, Jesus, you go to McDonald's, you only
- 9:24have a real person anymore. You go up to the menu, you click
- 9:26on it, dot dot dot dot dot dot. Put your credit card in.
- 9:28Right. I'm sorry, Sir.
- 9:30What are you waiting for? The freaking menu that I just
- 9:32placed right now? Jesus.
- 9:34You know, it's it's I don't know it.
- 9:36You know, it's supposed to be sufficient.
- 9:38And, you know, we were warned about this many years ago that
- 9:41robots would take over. And we kind of laughed.
- 9:43Ha, ha, ha. I ain't no robot.
- 9:45Can I ever take over? But look at it.
- 9:47I mean, realistically, computers are taking over.
- 9:49I mean, what, what do we have in our hand everyday?
- 9:51A little computer that we're we can't live without TikTok,
- 9:54Instagram. Well, that's what I mean, like
- 9:57society itself that wants you to use your cell phone for
- 10:03everything. And I mean it encourages it.
- 10:06Yeah, yeah, I got AI got a one minute pause, man, that you
- 10:10that, that, that I use my phone is where where I don't have it
- 10:14in my hand for one minute, you know, or or two minutes or 10
- 10:18minutes or whatever it is. But yeah, that phone is just
- 10:20horrible. Every time I turn around the
- 10:21phone, you know, somebody is, you know, on their phone.
- 10:25I mean, look, look at it when you go to a restaurant, just
- 10:27just humorous. When you go to a restaurant,
- 10:29look how many people are sitting across from each other and
- 10:30they're on their phones or whatever be it.
- 10:31There's no conversation anymore. We're we're we're becoming a a
- 10:35society with no social skills, no ability to talk to people,
- 10:40right. And and and I'm not just saying
- 10:42America, I'm saying all over the world, the country, you know,
- 10:47you know, my goodness gracious, you're standing right next to
- 10:49somebody. You text him something, you say,
- 10:50hey, check this out. I just sent it to you.
- 10:52Tell me what you just sent me. Well, look at it.
- 10:54I don't need to look at it. Tell me what you sent me.
- 10:56Shit. So, yeah.
- 10:58I mean, everything, Yeah, everything seems to be like now
- 11:02on, on, on, on computers. And, you know, they want you to
- 11:07be on it. You know, here's, here's a good
- 11:09thing is, you know, I, I, you know, I belong to the Veterans
- 11:11of Foreign War and, and the VFW was like, well, we posted on our
- 11:15Facebook. I'll never go on Facebook.
- 11:18I never, I am never on Facebook like ever, ever.
- 11:21Like I'm hardly ever on Facebook, right.
- 11:23So it's like if I, I mean, if I'm a older person, like 7075
- 11:27years old, I'm not on Facebook or tickety talk or Instagram or
- 11:32Hoopla or X or Twitter or Twitter or, you know, whatever
- 11:37it is. So yeah, I just, you know, what
- 11:39is it particularly? Talk.
- 11:41Or is it tickety tack? Tickety tickety talk talk.
- 11:44No, the here's something I just found out that remember Skype
- 11:47remember that was a big thing. Skype was like Skype is will be
- 11:51no longer as of this month. Skype will be done with.
- 11:55Yeah, Microsoft, Microsoft announced that they are they're
- 11:59they're going to do away with it.
- 12:00It's going to be no longer. It won't be no longer.
- 12:03So that means that, you know, Skype will go out and then
- 12:08Myspace will come back in, hopefully, maybe.
- 12:12Remember my I think Tom is still my only friend.
- 12:16Tom is all of our friends. Yeah, we love you, Tom.
- 12:19Wherever you got, Tom, we love. You, we let him down.
- 12:23Yeah, wonder where is he? Wonder what's Tom doing from
- 12:25Facebook or Myspace? God leave Myspace.
- 12:29Holy moly, boy, talk about Yeah, Facebook wiped them off the face
- 12:32of the earth, didn't they? Yeah, but before we go on the
- 12:37first break, well, what's been going on in your neck of the
- 12:42woods? Nothing much.
- 12:44I mean, like, we've had some storm roll through and stuff
- 12:46like that, knocked out power for a little bit, but other than
- 12:48that we've been pretty good. You know, no power, no Internet,
- 12:52you know how that works. But yeah, other than that, it's
- 12:54been pretty good. Pretty quiet.
- 12:55Everything's been moving along, you know, like it should and
- 12:58stuff. And, you know, they had new
- 13:01elections at the VFW. Thank God I'm not in the
- 13:03position that I was before. Man, that was just way too much.
- 13:06It was like a full time job getting paid nothing.
- 13:08It's like, forget this noise. You know, I, I was, I did have
- 13:12my name thrown in there as a commander of the post and I was
- 13:14like, hey, you know what? So anyway, so that would not the
- 13:18word though. Maybe next year I'll do that.
- 13:20But yeah, I got, I got the White Hart Foundation where I'm, I'm
- 13:24one of the facilitators for that.
- 13:26The White Hart Guardian project is coming up.
- 13:28They got a couple trips this this summer.
- 13:31So I'll be in Denver, like I said in August, I think it is.
- 13:35I'll be. I'll be in Denver and we'll
- 13:37definitely have to hook up. I'll buy you Subway again and
- 13:40then let me think what else is going on.
- 13:43Tomorrow is Andrea's birthday, so.
- 13:47And Sunday, Sunday, Sunday, Sunday is.
- 13:50Mother's Day is Mother's Day. That's right.
- 13:53Listen to me. If you are out there watching us
- 13:55right now and at any time in your life, you put those titties
- 13:59in your mouth. She deserves a present.
- 14:05I don't care if you're, I don't care if you're 2 years old, and
- 14:08I don't care if you're freaking 5055 years old.
- 14:10If you've had those titties in your mouth.
- 14:12She deserves a present from you. Amen.
- 14:19Amen. That's right.
- 14:21Think about that for a minute. Let that steal over the freaking
- 14:23water. I got some people out there
- 14:26spitting out their coffee right now.
- 14:28Did you just say that? Yep.
- 14:29Sure did. Yeah.
- 14:31Mother's Day, man, you know, happy, happy Mother's Day in in
- 14:34heaven, Mom. But yeah, Mother's Day.
- 14:37Mother's Day is Sunday. Gonna have a Sunday brunch with
- 14:39a grandbaby and the daughter and everybody else.
- 14:42And yeah, Mother's Day. Mother's Day is actually
- 14:45celebrated pretty much around the world at the same time.
- 14:48It's Father's Day is different. Germany has a different time for
- 14:50Father's Day. Father's Day.
- 14:51Yeah, shit. In Germany and Father's Day,
- 14:54they put a big old keg on a freaking little red wagon.
- 14:57They go from town to town at the different breweries and get
- 15:00drunk singing music and stuff. It's pretty crazy.
- 15:03So you'll take us a break real quick.
- 15:06Sure can all. Right, we're going to take a
- 15:08quick break here on Veterans Talk with yours truly, DJ Magic
- 15:11Mike and H Train on the radio station to give veterans a boys
- 15:13military broadcast rate. We'll be right back.
- 15:17Stats tell that each day, 22 veterans commit suicide due to
- 15:22PTSD. These stats shook us and urged
- 15:26us to do our part. After hours and hours of
- 15:29thinking, beekeeping for veterans was born.
- 15:32Beekeeping for veterans combines beekeeping with mindfulness
- 15:36meditation. Why combine them?
- 15:38Here's why. Beekeeping causes positive rush
- 15:42of adrenaline. While beekeeping you have to be
- 15:45calm during it. You are mindful of your
- 15:48movements. Each week, a veteran will
- 15:50receive a mindful meditation to build emotional and mental skill
- 15:54sets. Mindfulness is a set of three
- 15:57attentional skills that work together concentration, sensory
- 16:01clarity and equanimity, mental calmness, composure, evenness of
- 16:06temper. Every time mindfulness is
- 16:08practiced, we build these skills.
- 16:10Beekeeping for veterans not only helps veterans overcome
- 16:14emotional trauma but also aids our environment as without bees
- 16:18there is no come forward. The people who have supported
- 16:22your country now need your support.
- 16:31The station where our veterans voices are heard.
- 16:33MBR. Talk.
- 16:34Hey thanks for tuning. In welcome are those of the
- 16:41speakers and do not necessarily reflect the views or positions
- 16:45of any entities they represent. The web at NB radio dot.
- 16:51Right, we're back here. We're veterans.
- 16:53Talk with your true DJ, Magic Mike, and each trained in the
- 16:56studio on military broadcast radio.
- 16:58Anyway, that's pretty cool. Beekeepers for vet beekeeping
- 17:00for vets. That's pretty cool.
- 17:02That's pretty cool. I love honey.
- 17:03Who doesn't love honey? Everybody.
- 17:05Loves it. Yeah.
- 17:05And, you know, just a real quick shout out as always, because
- 17:10they donated a computer to the AT NBR studio here in Denver,
- 17:15Tech for Troops. So if you know, if you don't
- 17:20know a lot about computers and you just want something you need
- 17:23help or you need to be navigated, Tech for Troops,
- 17:27check them out. And yeah, there was another
- 17:33thing that was going to give a shout out to.
- 17:37Yeah, who? Are you going to give a shout
- 17:39out to? I was trying to.
- 17:41I was trying to remember, yeah. Just one of those days.
- 17:52It'll come back to me, I'm sure, yeah.
- 17:54Sure, sure will, sooner or later.
- 17:56What's going on in your neck of woods, man?
- 17:57What's going on with you, man? Well, you know, I'm, I'm still
- 18:02learning that animation. I'm still, I'm still, still
- 18:05doing that cartoon stuff. That's pretty cool, man.
- 18:08It's a lot of work, hey. It is.
- 18:11It is, but we're we're, we're getting there.
- 18:16Yeah. It just, it just takes a little
- 18:18while. So, but that's OK.
- 18:20We'll we'll get there. But, you know, technically,
- 18:24after we get everything done, we're going to be a radio
- 18:28station that has four different channels or four different ways
- 18:34of rehabilitation, you know? I've got I bought that that disk
- 18:38that that USB thing to to play online and stuff like that.
- 18:43OK. Yeah, yeah, definitely show me
- 18:45how to. How to Yeah, we'll get that.
- 18:47We'll get that. We'll we'll get that set up.
- 18:48It'll be knives, man, like you can you can go on there and and
- 18:53play a game and you, you what is this?
- 18:57I think it's like Kyle Callaghan or he's a, he's an influencer,
- 19:03he's military as well and he gets on there and he he does
- 19:08games and he talks to, to guys. Same thing here.
- 19:12You could you could totally turn veterans talk into like a a game
- 19:16plan talking event. Yeah.
- 19:22Hey, listen, man, if you're out there, I just wanted to to to
- 19:25let you all know you guys can definitely give us a call at
- 19:27720-619-0627. We'll talk about whatever you
- 19:30want. If you want to give a shout out,
- 19:31you're a veteran or something, just give us a call.
- 19:34Yes, a big shout out. I'd like to give a shout out to
- 19:36the Travis Manion Foundation. I want a great organization.
- 19:39So as you know, Andrea belongs to that and she's very, very
- 19:42much involved. And they have a huge thing
- 19:45coming up, man. I'm going to go ahead after the
- 19:47next break and I'll send it to you Joel, so we can put it up
- 19:50down there. If you're out there, I want you
- 19:52guys to register there. There's AQR code.
- 19:55I'll give you register. Just just register, you know, so
- 19:58that we can get people out there.
- 20:01You know, if, if you're able to do it, fine.
- 20:03If you're not, that'd be, you know, that's fine too.
- 20:05But just to register in itself as great want to try try to get
- 20:08as many people as register as possible.
- 20:10What it is is that on Memorial Day, they'll take this token and
- 20:14it's a, a, a flag like the one, kind of like the one that's
- 20:17behind me here. Right, and they'll place it on
- 20:19your loved one's grave and they'll take a picture of it for
- 20:21you and they'll they'll put it online for you as a let you know
- 20:24that we were there. And so just give you guys all
- 20:27little background. There's there's a a wives tale,
- 20:31if you will, that says that a person dies twice in their life.
- 20:35They die when they they're buried and in the grave.
- 20:38And then they die when their name is read for the last time,
- 20:41meaning that nobody reads it again, right or says it says it
- 20:44again. And that's why we always, you
- 20:47know, we're Arlington Cemetery and I'm going to either First
- 20:50Sergeant Rafferty's gravesite or Captain Conn's gravesite or
- 20:54somebody else's that served with us.
- 20:57I pass all the other headstones. I always say the name out loud
- 21:00and, and, you know, I always want to make sure that their
- 21:04memory is not forgotten. So, you know, they place it
- 21:07there, they they read the name out and they pay tribute or, or
- 21:12honor this Memorial Day to your loved one that is, that is
- 21:15buried at the National Cemetery. So Arlington there's there's,
- 21:19you know, obviously everybody knows Arlington is the big one.
- 21:22I'll be up there in Arlington. The following on one more actual
- 21:26Memorial Day. But and North Carolina and North
- 21:30Carolina have a huge one in Salisbury.
- 21:32It's called Salisbury National Cemetery.
- 21:34It's huge. It looks like a little miniature
- 21:36Arlington. It's huge, beautiful.
- 21:38They got another one in Raleigh. They got another one in
- 21:42Pensacola, FL. They've, I mean, they're all
- 21:44over these, these national cemeteries and what they do is
- 21:48they, they Travis Manion Foundation reached out and, and
- 21:51got help from all these people to be able to put this token on
- 21:53there for those loved ones that couldn't make it to their loved
- 21:55ones grave. You know, maybe you got a great
- 21:57grandfather that's buried at Arlington Cemetery or, you know,
- 22:01you got a loved one that's buried somewhere else in another
- 22:02part of the country or something like that.
- 22:04Or, or you just aren't able to go into the gravesite for
- 22:08Memorial Day. They'll, they'll go and they'll
- 22:10pay tribute in the honor, you know, and of course, the
- 22:11American flag will be there. And yeah, it's pretty, it's
- 22:14pretty, pretty, pretty freaking neat tribute to the troop, if
- 22:19you will. I love it.
- 22:21I, I think Travis Manion Foundation is, is just one of
- 22:25the many amazing foundations. Again, it's, it's geared towards
- 22:29Gold Star families. Travis Manion was a Marine Corps
- 22:32officer who lost his life in Iraq and they do so much for the
- 22:39I mean, they raise so much money and, and help the stuff like
- 22:42that for Gold Star families and, you know, kids and, and wives
- 22:46and stuff like that, along with parents and stuff that lost a
- 22:50loved 1. So it's a great organization and
- 22:52and I'm proud to say that, you know, I support them and and
- 22:57yeah, check him out. Travis Mania, TMF, Travis Mania
- 22:59Foundation. So yeah, something special, but
- 23:01a lot of things going on Memorial Day that that.
- 23:04That one thing like that, I was thinking about it, It just came
- 23:07to my my head three days ago. Do you remember a soldier named
- 23:14Shane? Shane Uris.
- 23:17Yeah, I know yours. He was a great drummer.
- 23:21Yeah, do you realize he has a band?
- 23:24Yeah, he was a he was a phenomenal drummer.
- 23:27Let me tell you about this guy real quick before you finish.
- 23:29He was he he lived on my floor in, in, in the Army.
- 23:32He lived on my floor. And they always played and he
- 23:35had a drum set in the in the thing.
- 23:37And the best drum solo I think ever was Tom Sawyer.
- 23:42By God, no, I'm, I'm drawing a blank.
- 23:49Tom Sawyer. He gets high on you.
- 24:00Rush by Rush. That's what it was.
- 24:02The band. Rush played it, and they have a
- 24:04drum solo in there that's to die for it.
- 24:06And he played it for me. Man, I'll never forget that.
- 24:08But go ahead. Yeah, yours is great.
- 24:09Great drummer. He's got a band now.
- 24:11Yeah, he's got a band, they've got a song out.
- 24:14I, I'm not, I'm not going to, I'm not going to push it out
- 24:17until he so he writes A consent form, but we're going to play it
- 24:23here on MBR. But I, I'm really surprised.
- 24:27It sounds good. It is definitely Cookie Monster
- 24:30on steroids music. You're yeah, you're frozen for a
- 24:34second there. You said it's Cookie Monster on
- 24:35steroids. Yeah, it's Cookie Monster on
- 24:38steroids, man. I.
- 24:39Don't know why you're freezing up left and right man, but
- 24:41anyway. OK.
- 24:44Damn stream yard. I'm telling you, sometimes just
- 24:48just doesn't. It sometimes just doesn't like
- 24:51you. Yeah, right.
- 24:53I'm not frozen up. It was just you freezing up.
- 24:56I. Can hear, I can hear you still,
- 24:57but you're freezing. It might have been your camera
- 24:59just resetting. But yeah, anyway, make a Long
- 25:02story short, Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty freaking
- 25:05cool man. He was.
- 25:05He was a great, like I said, he was a great drummer.
- 25:07So yeah, I can't, can't wait. That would be pretty exciting.
- 25:09But yeah, Memorial Day. Anybody else got anything going
- 25:11on? See, everybody knows that
- 25:13Memorial Day is when all the pools open up.
- 25:15And it's like, which I think is stupid because like, there
- 25:18wasn't even a a freaking spring this year.
- 25:20We went straight from winter to summer and then back to winter.
- 25:24It was crazy anyway, but yeah, a lot going on.
- 25:32Yeah. He says it's the Denver
- 25:34Gremlins. They're dealing all, all the
- 25:37there. There was stealing all the Bron
- 25:39broadband. That's funny.
- 25:42That's funny. Good old Charlie.
- 25:46What's going on, Red? Everybody out there?
- 25:51Weather Alert Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been
- 25:53issued and will expire at six at 12 AM.
- 25:56And I hope this thing doesn't screw up my freaking plans for
- 25:58tomorrow. No.
- 26:03Oh, that just said 50 percent, 50%, Fifty percent, 65%, seven
- 26:08AM Yeah. It's there's no rain tomorrow.
- 26:15There's no rain until later on in the afternoon.
- 26:16That's it. A little windy tomorrow.
- 26:20A little windy. Yeah, I always loved a little
- 26:23windy. Anyways, Yeah, you're here all
- 26:28day for your amusement. Ladies and gentlemen.
- 26:31I'm just exhausted today. I don't know why.
- 26:33I don't know if it's just the end of the week or my brains
- 26:35just been going on and on. I was.
- 26:37Going to say you've been doing a lot of stuff here lately.
- 26:40I've been doing a lot of what? You've been doing a lot of stuff
- 26:43here lately. Yeah, I did 22,000 steps the
- 26:46other day. Is that ridiculous?
- 26:48That's ridiculous, you know, And I used to do that whole walking
- 26:53instead, remember? And.
- 26:56My my iPhone watch, it went kaput and after it went kaput,
- 27:02I'm like, all right, well, screw this.
- 27:03I just, I just won't do this anymore.
- 27:05And that's one of the reasons why I quit walking is just
- 27:08because. I never got you, never got a new
- 27:11one. That's.
- 27:13Right, I got you. I got you.
- 27:14I'm going to send you one. I'm going to stop dead serious.
- 27:19Magic Mike's going to send you a watch, an Apple Watch, so you
- 27:22could start doing your walking again.
- 27:24I've got a, I've got a Garmin that I hook up to my Apple now.
- 27:28So I go back and forth from a Garmin to this.
- 27:32I got the Apple Watch, I got the Garmin.
- 27:33I go back and forth, back and forth.
- 27:35But yeah, I've got a, I've got a Apple Watch around here
- 27:37somewhere. I'll send you.
- 27:39My son didn't want it. He was like, no, I'm not, you
- 27:41know, he's an Android guy, I think, or whatever.
- 27:43So whatever. Can't teach those Android guys
- 27:47anything. I think they're better than
- 27:49everybody else. Yeah, I mean, it's it, it was
- 27:52first we had Andrew. No, first it was.
- 27:54Let's go back a little bit. First it was Atari and Atari.
- 27:59And what was a confederate for Atari?
- 28:01Sega. Sega.
- 28:02Sega. Yeah.
- 28:03So you had Atari and Sega, then it went and then, you know,
- 28:07everybody else started jumping in.
- 28:08And then it was then we went Mac and Apple or, or Apple, Mac,
- 28:14right? Mac and then Microsoft.
- 28:16Those are the big competitors, right?
- 28:18And then you had Apple and fricking Android, which was the
- 28:22big competitors. And here we are in 2025 and now
- 28:26you have the liberal, the conservatives.
- 28:28What the fuck? It's like everybody against
- 28:32everybody. Used to be Pepsi and Coke
- 28:34against each other, right? You always got to have a
- 28:36rivalry. Freaking crazy.
- 28:38Yeah. Or, you know, that's the only
- 28:40way you're successful. You got to, you have to, you
- 28:43have to chase somebody. Yeah, you know.
- 28:47Yep, Yep, that's the way it works.
- 28:49That's the. Way and I don't know if you saw,
- 28:51but my my wife and she just we added three more coloring books
- 28:58to. I did see that.
- 28:59Yep. Yeah.
- 29:03Cardinal Robert Prevost, 69, from Chicago, will be known as
- 29:08Pope Leo. The 503rd 1.
- 29:11I don't even know what that is. 10 plus 14th.
- 29:14I think it's the 14th, right? Ten.
- 29:17Yeah, that's the 14th. As Pope Leo, the 14th.
- 29:20He called for peace and paid tribute to the late Pope Francis
- 29:25to roaring crowd. So there you go.
- 29:28That's the new Pope. Yeah.
- 29:36So and then let me see what else is in in the highlighted news
- 29:39today. Let's see.
- 29:46Hey, check this out. So we've got Charles.
- 29:49He's tuning in. He's like some support military
- 29:54broadcast radio by watching the videos.
- 29:57We he wrote, we had Texas Instrument first.
- 30:00Gee, you just dated yourself, Charles.
- 30:04Jesus. Yeah.
- 30:07So, so here, here. Here's a fun fact.
- 30:09My my lawyer and good friend of mine, who who I had absolutely
- 30:13adore, his name is Andrew Van Arsdale.
- 30:15He's representing all the, all the, all the people who are
- 30:18filing lawsuits against P Diddy. Now, do you guys see that?
- 30:22No, I didn't. Yeah, P Diddy's legal troubles
- 30:26have are not over, Kate Flurry of civil cases could could now
- 30:32impede his his demise, I guess you might say.
- 30:39I do want to say one thing real quick before I forget.
- 30:46This past weekend, we lost a great man.
- 30:50We lost somebody who he was a Vietnam vet.
- 30:55Out of was was it Kokomo IN? He was a New York he.
- 31:00Was a new. York Mac died of cancer and, you
- 31:06know, we had the talk with them today, national streaming
- 31:11services. And, you know, we're, we're
- 31:14going to, we're going to kind of help them keep them under our
- 31:17wing. Just kind of make sure that
- 31:19Mac's dream, you know, national streaming service that it that
- 31:26it keeps on going on. We're going to try to push that
- 31:29as a legacy and the MBR is going to be one of those stations
- 31:34that's going to support that. You know, and the nice thing is,
- 31:36is the streaming session when they come over, when they come
- 31:40over, you know, to the dark side, they'll they'll be able to
- 31:44utilize stream yard and they won't have to deal with the obs.
- 31:48I don't know if you know anything about OBS Magic Mike,
- 31:51but OBS is a a way you stream and it's it's kind of a pain in
- 31:56the ass. Yeah, that's a little little
- 32:01bit, a little bit of a pain in the ass, right.
- 32:03I mean, it's just. Yeah, so, but yeah, that's the,
- 32:08that's the, that's the neat stuff that's going on.
- 32:10And and Shane wrote out wrote to me and I'm trying to bring up
- 32:15the, the title of the the new album.
- 32:23I I think it's like Levi gets or something like that.
- 32:25I'm looking right now. Interesting.
- 32:32It's called the, the new track is called Divergent Divergent
- 32:39and the the link tree is EN. So after you, you know, put it
- 32:45in the link tree, you want to put EN7I7Y and it will, it will
- 32:53literally take you to his page and you can kind of see what
- 32:58they have going on and what they continue to have going on.
- 33:03Pretty, nifty. Pretty.
- 33:04Pretty cool stuff right here. I thought so, and back to you.
- 33:14Back to you. Yeah, I know we're kind of like
- 33:16all over the map today, but we're just chilling today.
- 33:18Today's our chill day. So if you want to call, talk
- 33:20about something you want to call and give a shout out to a
- 33:22veteran, please do. Charles is like damn, y'all are
- 33:24fucking dead today, man Dead. Yeah, We just listen.
- 33:28Today's our chill day, man. I want to go to bed.
- 33:30Joe just woke up. Joel just woke up, man.
- 33:33I didn't. I didn't just.
- 33:35Wake up saying he didn't wake up.
- 33:36Yeah, I didn't just wake up. He's so full of crap.
- 33:43But what where is it? It's I was trying to find it so
- 33:49that I could at least. Here we go.
- 33:54Oh, this is what I'll do. I'm going to while you're doing
- 33:57whatever you're doing, I'm going to grab the the album so that I
- 34:01can at least share it. Save as blah blah blah blah.
- 34:10All right, Hey, So what else? What else is news is what else
- 34:16is going on in the news that I might not be aware of like.
- 34:20I, I was watching a TikTok video and, and it was like these three
- 34:23people fighting and all of a sudden you see one person come
- 34:26up and throw something at this guy, hit him and, and it, you
- 34:29know, throws it at him, hits him and like knocks him out.
- 34:31He like slowly falls down to the ground.
- 34:34And at first I thought it was a toilet.
- 34:35I was like, God, at least she just hit this guy with the
- 34:37toilet. So that's change band right
- 34:41there. End of the Divergent, the new
- 34:44track, like I said, if you want to look him up, it is EN7I7Y
- 34:52right on LinkedIn. So yeah, you can.
- 34:56You can totally do that. Yes, I was watching this, this,
- 34:59this the thing on TikTok and there's a bunch of people
- 35:01fighting. This person comes running up and
- 35:04throws something. This guy hits him in the head
- 35:05with it and the guy kind of goes, it falls back.
- 35:10So you knocked him out. And at first I thought it was a
- 35:12toilet. And I looked back and rewound it
- 35:14like watched like 20 times and realized it was a fax machine.
- 35:17And somebody commented and said, damn, I thought it was a toilet.
- 35:20But this person put the fax machine into use in 2025 anyway.
- 35:31Well, hey, we can go on next break and just take.
- 35:35A quick break, man. Yeah, when we come back, well,
- 35:38you know, I tell you what, we'll we'll go ahead and do the
- 35:41tribute to the troops and then after we do the tribute to the
- 35:45troops when we come back. What what how are we going to
- 35:48close this out? Mike, What?
- 35:49Where do you thinking? I.
- 35:51Think we need to close it out by saying reduces.
- 35:57All right, you guys, we'll be right back.
- 35:59Everybody stay with us. You're listening to veteran talk
- 36:01right here on the station. That's letting our voice
- 36:04veterans voices be heard. MBR.
- 36:09Detail attention. First, call.
- 36:15The service member's name is called out loud in the context
- 36:18of a unit. This is meant to ensure all are
- 36:21present and accounted for. Second call, the name is called
- 36:26out again, louder, to confirm that the service member is
- 36:29indeed absent. Third call, the name is called
- 36:33out for a final time, followed by a statement indicating that
- 36:36the service member is not present and accounted for,
- 36:39signifying their death. The final roll call serves as a
- 36:43symbolic gesture to respect and remember their service.
- 36:52Sir Adam. I'm not.
- 36:55Tell the story. Well, you got the joke.
- 36:59You tell the American people what these men do here.
