- 0:34www.worldwidesportsradio.com. Obviously, we know Speedy is not
- 0:40a DJ because the music that he picks, I told him to go hip hop.
- 0:44He goes like like, I don't know what the hell that is.
- 0:48But anyways, ladies and gentlemen, we call this segment
- 0:52A call to the pen I. Think you can throw a strike on
- 0:56this pitch? It's not going to be my.
- 0:57John at Arm feels like jello right now.
- 0:59Just get it over. The plate I want him to swing.
- 1:01Last time I did that, the guy hit one that hasn't landed yet
- 1:03for a call to the pen. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:08it's pretty simple. Jabba and the Goodster are going
- 1:12to go back and forth and tell us, well, obviously Fish is
- 1:15going to have some questions, but they're going to go back and
- 1:18forth and tell us stories about their time in the MLB.
- 1:24Let's do it. Here, let me add myself back in.
- 1:28We'll go with it like this and we'll just throw you up in the
- 1:31middle when your turns up. It's a call to pen.
- 1:33Early season struggles in the pen.
- 1:35I was thinking of this because of Devin Williams being removed
- 1:38from the closer role temporarily.
- 1:40And you guys both were relievers in the bigs.
- 1:42And I was wondering, you know, what it was like when you had
- 1:46struggles or some of your teammates had struggles and how
- 1:48you guys tried to work through them, how to help each other out
- 1:51and if you have any cool stories about something like that.
- 1:55I mean, for me really it's I think change of scenery
- 1:59sometimes is a good thing, sometimes it's a bad thing.
- 2:01We we see a change of scenery can can be both and I think
- 2:07sometimes too, and obviously we'll get goodies take on this.
- 2:10But I sometimes think when you struggle, sometimes you try to
- 2:15do too much, like you overanalyze and you become
- 2:20paralysis by analysis where because you have so much video
- 2:23and you have like you're in the big leagues for a reason.
- 2:27And you just try to get better at what your craft is every
- 2:32year, every game. And I think too, when you have
- 2:36struggles, I think sometimes less is more.
- 2:40There may be, you know, you may have moved hand position, you
- 2:44may be leaking on your front side.
- 2:45There's a lot of euphemisms that I could use.
- 2:49But I think too with a change of scenery, with certain things,
- 2:53with struggling and getting taken out of position that
- 2:57you're used to. And we'll specifically talk
- 2:59about Devin Williams is maybe going into it knowing what he
- 3:04had and, and what Luke Weaver has done.
- 3:07Maybe he tried to do too much. Maybe he was trying to make one
- 3:11pitch better because we've all fell into this like where, oh, I
- 3:14threw a bastard slider, I got to make this one even better.
- 3:17It turns into cement mixer and it's 420 feet to left field.
- 3:22And so I think for him, he he just needs to trust his stuff
- 3:27and know he's good enough to do it.
- 3:29And Nick Turturro and I talk all the time and we had him on the
- 3:33show and he's a die hard Yankees fan.
- 3:35And we we talk pretty much every day when it comes to the
- 3:38Yankees. And maybe there's a different
- 3:41role for him on this club compared to when it was with the
- 3:44Brewers. And sometimes that is what
- 3:46happens. And you've seen what Luke Weaver
- 3:49can do. He's very capable of it.
- 3:50We've seen it in the regular scene, we've seen in the
- 3:52postseason. And maybe Devin is more set to
- 3:56set up. We'll see what happens.
- 3:58Is he going to win it back? I don't know.
- 4:01But I think he just needs to trust the process.
- 4:03And yeah, we all have rough outings and we all have rough
- 4:07starts. And I think it's just trusting
- 4:10your ability, trusting in what you do and not over analyzing it
- 4:15to like where you have to reform everything.
- 4:17Like, oh, it's not working here. I have to change everything.
- 4:21I don't think you have to do that.
- 4:22And I I think, and I hope he doesn't.
- 4:25And I think he's going to be good.
- 4:28Yeah. It was a rough month.
- 4:29Let's just, I mean, let's put it that way.
- 4:31It is what it is. But I think with his ability and
- 4:35his pitch ability and knowing what he's good at, I think he'll
- 4:40be just fine. Yeah.
- 4:41Is it going to take a little bit?
- 4:43I just hope he doesn't try to recreate the wheel because that
- 4:46wheel is what got him here and obviously what made him sign
- 4:51with this team and what they believed he could do.
- 4:54So I think he'll be fine. I just hope he doesn't try and
- 4:57do too much and and change a lot of things because when that
- 5:01happens then it changes who you are and who you are is what got
- 5:05you here. Yeah, man, I would agree with
- 5:10that. That's pretty, pretty well put,
- 5:12right? There doesn't really need to be
- 5:13too much. Honestly, few things that I
- 5:17would do and that we would do as a bullpen, we would probably go
- 5:21out. We're struggling.
- 5:23Just just go out and just torture your body.
- 5:26And then like on my on my, on my end, like if I had a rough one,
- 5:31I would usually go to like McDonald's and order like 2 Big
- 5:35Macs, an extra large coke, a biggie fry and just pound it to
- 5:39the face and just feel terrible for my about myself for that
- 5:42night. Wake up the next day and be
- 5:44ready to rock. So like everybody has their own
- 5:46way of getting out of a funk. You know, He needs to just make
- 5:50small adjustments. Baseball is a game of
- 5:51adjustments. So it needs to be small
- 5:54adjustments, probably needs to get in with, with, you know,
- 5:58Matt Blake or, or Desi and just hone in on one specific thing
- 6:03because sometimes it could be the most ridiculous thing that
- 6:07changes your whole year. And, and, and it's literally, I
- 6:11mean, personally for me, I was struggling really bad in 2019
- 6:15and AAA coming back from an elbow surgery.
- 6:17And if and if my slider was not very good.
- 6:21And a a fan showed me a picture that she took of my hand on the
- 6:26baseball when I was throwing a slider.
- 6:28I kid you not. And my pointer finger was off
- 6:31And like the whole time before that, I was death gripping it
- 6:34with two fingers. And she showed me that and I was
- 6:36like, I was like, holy crap. Like mind you, I hadn't pitched
- 6:40in a year. So like this is like I'm
- 6:41starting to get back into it, you know, and changed my whole,
- 6:45my whole thing. I took my 22 ERA down to a 7 was
- 6:48in the show and pitched to a 3 1/2 the rest of the year just
- 6:51because of the picture. So something small like that,
- 6:55that all he needs to do. And sometimes it's just a fake
- 6:58amount of confidence, something to just get you there.
- 7:02It's a placebo effect that will take you to the next level.
- 7:05And obviously, I mean, the dude's good.
- 7:07Like the guy played, you know, he's a stud.
- 7:09So like just needs a little boost of confidence.
- 7:12And I hope New York, the fans will give that to him because
- 7:15you're going to need them come to postseason.
- 7:16You're going to need them to even get into the postseason.
- 7:19Goody I'm I'm the same way I I would flare on a curveball and
- 7:25so that's when I started using a finger condom because literally
- 7:30like so it's a finger condom where your finger goes in so it
- 7:34doesn't move. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 7:36Literally, you knew the the best I.
- 7:37Wasn't on a glove, mine was on the.
- 7:39Ball on the ball, mine was as I would release because I was an
- 7:42over pronator and so as soon as they would see my finger pop up,
- 7:46they knew it'd be a curveball and you knew who pointed it out
- 7:49was a hitter. And so that's when that's when I
- 7:53realized I need to talk to hitters more so than I need to
- 7:55talk to pitchers. You get the best advice from
- 7:58them. Those are the guys I'm trying to
- 8:00get out and they're like, we knew you'd throw it every time
- 8:03because we just watch your finger go up and you don't.
- 8:05You subconsciously you don't think about it, but you do.
- 8:08It I was like this when I was sucking death grip and white
- 8:12knuckle. So I would go come here, same
- 8:15thing. And then on the picture and and
- 8:19when I'm at my best, this finger is just just relaxing on the
- 8:23seam. So when I would go down, the
- 8:25picture was like this and you can't tell because my arm is
- 8:28behind me. Only I would know and so it
- 8:31would be down and then as I come back up, it gets back on and
- 8:34then I RIP through, which is the most ridiculous thing.
- 8:37And it it clicked and I and then, you know, then I just was
- 8:40just wipe out sliders and back back.
- 8:44That's a whole nother story that we can get into.
- 8:47It's pretty interesting story my 2019 season, but yeah, I'll I'll
- 8:53be sure that one off. We'll have to.
- 8:56We'll have to dial that up for the next time.
- 8:59We might. That's something we probably
- 9:00want to share offline. Offline, so it's not.
- 9:03It's not NSFW is what you're saying.
- 9:08For right now, for right now, maybe in a few years, then we
- 9:10can get back. Yeah, did you?
- 9:12Did you ever go slump Buster? No, I was I've I've had a boy,
- 9:18my girlfriend slash wife for 17 years.
- 9:22Oh well, you're lucky because I had one.
- 9:27And honestly, this my like my slump Buster was too.
- 9:31Big Macs and a pint of ice cream from graders.
- 9:36Absolutely just. That's kind of what she looked
- 9:39like. Well, Buckeye blitz, bro.
- 9:46The things you learn on a call to the pen.
- 9:50Anyways, we got another segment as we call this inside baseball.
- 9:55Now let's go deep, deep inside what I am excited.
- 10:00This is inside baseball. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:05we do this every single week. We've got the goodster, We got
- 10:09the chamber and we got the Marks and off, as we call this, inside
- 10:13baseball and Mr. Fish Fishman is going to give us and we have
- 10:18Speedy. He's going to give us some
- 10:19stories and we're going to argue with them.
- 10:22All right, so we got a handful of stories and one highlight.
- 10:25We'll end with the highlight. That's going to be a new thing.
- 10:27So we're going to start off with the Yanks going with this three
- 10:31home run barrage in a row, four and five batters actually, but
- 10:36three home runs in a row to start a game against the Orioles
- 10:39for the second time in a season. That's the first time that's
- 10:41ever been done twice in a season in Major League Baseball
- 10:45history. Also, they did it 31 days apart,
- 10:48exactly one month apart this year, which makes it even more
- 10:52incredible. Part of that mix both times.
- 10:54Aaron Judge boys 427 batting average, 10 home runs, 32 RBIs,
- 11:01WRC plus 262. The full season record is 244 by
- 11:08Barry Bonds when he was on the juice take.
- 11:13What do you think about this type of power from Judge and
- 11:18that crazy record? Good, Nick.
- 11:22This is what you expect. This is what you expect from
- 11:24somebody like him. He's one of the best players on
- 11:26the planet. He's a captain for Team USA for
- 11:29a reason. He's a captain of the Yankees.
- 11:32I mean, we expect nothing less from the most storied franchise
- 11:35in sports history. So, I mean, not surprising.
- 11:40Three home runs in a row, the lead off the game twice, you
- 11:43know, one month apart is pretty awesome.
- 11:47They are the Bronx Bombers. Did they do it both times in New
- 11:51York? No, this was in Baltimore.
- 11:55Yeah, Baltimore is a band box as well.
- 11:57So New York's band box, Baltimore's band box, pretty
- 12:00much everywhere in the AL ES band box.
- 12:02So not surprising. They're built for power.
- 12:06Let's just see if they can sustain that throughout the
- 12:07whole season. Yeah, I mean, it's Judge doing
- 12:12what he's done and Fish and I talked about this earlier too.
- 12:15He had that stat and then you go, you go F WAR.
- 12:18The highest ever was Babe Ruth at 14.3.
- 12:22Judges projected at 16.7 to finish with that point.
- 12:26Like literally like those numbers are stupid.
- 12:29In the last 162 games, he's averaging 369 with 62 homers,
- 12:35like 143 RB is. And you know, he he doesn't, he
- 12:39doesn't slow down. He continues to get better and
- 12:42he gets more consistent. I think him obviously moving
- 12:46back to right field has has a lot to do with in the in the
- 12:48comfortability of what he does. And it's just it's funny how
- 12:54when this happened early in the air, it was all the torpedo
- 12:59bats. We didn't hear one conversation
- 13:01about the torpedo bats when this happened, right?
- 13:04And so it's like, oh, was it really the bat or are they just
- 13:07that good? But goody, you make a great
- 13:10point. Is it is it sustainable?
- 13:12And you've got certain guys that you know have stepped up
- 13:16everybody. He was like, oh, Goldies washed
- 13:18up. He's the only other guy that's
- 13:20really hitting. You know, you got Jazz and your
- 13:24favorite player Errol that has some dismal at.
- 13:27That, by the way, I, I told everybody that Paul Goldschmidt
- 13:30was going to have a big season. I, I said it.
- 13:33And by the way. Oh no, I I agreed with you.
- 13:35That's why I said. That's why I said I wanted to
- 13:37get Arenado too. Yes, and I think they still
- 13:39can't get it Nolan Arenado. I still think they at the trade
- 13:42downline they can absolutely yeah.
- 13:45I I could see Saint Louis trading.
- 13:47I could see it happening. I think it's been been pretty
- 13:50impressive what Aaron Judge is doing right now.
- 13:53I it, I don't think he's going to hit 400 all season long, but
- 13:57the last player to do this, you know, the way he is doing it
- 14:00right now. Yeah.
- 14:02I, I don't even remember Miguel Cabrera, I think was the last
- 14:04person hitting 430 games in a season.
- 14:07I it's been a long time since we've seen this.
- 14:09It's pretty damn impressive. And and, and again, Aaron Judge
- 14:14has an opportunity right now. And I mean, me and Jabba have
- 14:16gone back and forth. Who's the best player in the
- 14:19MLBI? Don't think it's an argument
- 14:21anymore. The best hitter in baseball
- 14:23right now is Aaron Judge. Oh, no.
- 14:25And and I think he's the best player in baseball right now.
- 14:27I don't think you can argue. And by the way, where's that
- 14:29reporter that wrote that story a couple of weeks ago and said
- 14:33that Aaron Judge is the 4th best player in the league?
- 14:35I don't hear him anymore. Where is he at?
- 14:38Because right now Aaron Judge is doing things we've never seen a
- 14:41player do so it and even Barry Bonds hasn't done it as good and
- 14:46as well as this well, you. Can you can say to from the
- 14:49reporter but MLB.com did a poll the players and he was #3.
- 14:55That's interesting. That's interesting.
- 14:57That's that's a player's poll. Well, that's a lot of jealousy
- 15:02from a lot of players. That dude said in 427, which by
- 15:06itself before you talk about anything else for over a month,
- 15:11to hit 427 is pretty wild. Then to do it with the power
- 15:15he's doing it, the defense he's playing and just a leader.
- 15:19Not to mention the leadership of the team.
- 15:21That's not part of the stats that are legendary.
- 15:24His leadership, which is what is even more special about him.
- 15:29This is the heart and soul of the franchise.
- 15:31Not because he's so good, because of all of the things he
- 15:33does while being so good. Not every great player does
- 15:37those things. You know, It's really special.
- 15:40It goes from the little things to like having the jukebox, like
- 15:43you're in charge of the the music in the clubhouse to set
- 15:46the tone. You know I'm an arrow as a DJ.
- 15:50Swish Alicious as we call them. He loves the control the the
- 15:54jukebox over there. And I'm sure Jabba knows all
- 15:57about that. Nick Swisher love to play his
- 15:59crazy music, but that's what I heard.
- 16:01But I agree with you. I think it's incredible what
- 16:04he's doing. I think he's special.
- 16:06And anybody that's going to doubt Aaron Judge and what he's
- 16:09done over the last three years, go look at his numbers.
- 16:11Slug in percentage number one home runs, number one RBI is #1
- 16:15war #1 every single practically offensive statistic.
- 16:20He's blowing everybody out of the water.
- 16:22And right now he's not human. This is like alien is a alien
- 16:26life form that doesn't belong in the major leagues.
- 16:28It's unbelievable what this man is doing right now.
- 16:32It's incredible. And Yep, and by the way, he is
- 16:35doing it in other stadiums too. It's not just Yankee Stadium.
- 16:38His numbers in other stadiums right now is better than Yankee
- 16:42Stadium. His his batting average and he's
- 16:45hitting more outside of Yankee Stadium when it then he's going
- 16:47in Yankee Stadium. It's pretty incredible.
- 16:50Yeah, yeah. So let's move on to the next
- 16:53story. The opposite of offense is what
- 16:55Jacob degrom has had his entire career.
- 16:58You know, as a Mets fan, speedy, you know that he want to Cy
- 17:03Young in a year that it seems like they never scored a run for
- 17:06him. Well, he won his first game of
- 17:08the season the other day. Pitching for Texas was his first
- 17:13win since 2023. He had 9 total runs and run
- 17:17support in his first five games before this win.
- 17:21He has a 273 ERAA, 100 WHIP, and a 140 ERA plus, which means he's
- 17:29having a pretty good start to the season.
- 17:32Guys, why can't this guy get run support?
- 17:36Do people hate him or something? He's one of the best pitchers
- 17:39ever that nobody wants to score runs and get him wins he's going
- 17:43to have. I don't know what his total wins
- 17:46in his career are, speeding, maybe you can find that real
- 17:48quick, but it's probably about 30 less than it should be.
- 17:51He's automatically a Hall of Famer.
- 17:54He's automatically a Hall of Famer for what he's done when he
- 17:57is in the game. I don't think there's any
- 17:59pitcher we've seen anything like him.
- 18:01He's been pretty incredible and his best pitch is a change up.
- 18:05Think about it, his best pitch is his change up and he throws
- 18:10also 100 mph when he wants to. I mean, it's incredible.
- 18:14He's 85 and 58, yeah. But and he still.
- 18:19So what do you think probably should be over 100 wins by now
- 18:21for? Sure, 150 wins if he could stay
- 18:24healthy, if he could have stayed healthy.
- 18:26And remember, he was drafted as a shortstop.
- 18:29He wasn't even drafted as a pitcher.
- 18:31So that's that's even more incredible about the story
- 18:34behind the whole Jacob degrom and and look at the pictures
- 18:37he's played with you talking about look at Zach Wheeler, look
- 18:40at his success over here. Now in Philadelphia.
- 18:43They had him, they have Noah Syndergaard at one point
- 18:46everybody thought Noah Syndergaard was one of the best.
- 18:48That what was his nickname? A Thor.
- 18:50That's what they called him. And then they had the Black
- 18:53Knight over there. That was and and Yep, Matt
- 18:56Harvey and they had Matt's. You're talking about one of the
- 18:59best young pitching squads in all the baseball and the two
- 19:02guys that have stood out from all the rest is who, Jacob
- 19:06degrom and Zach Wheeler. It's pretty incredible.
- 19:10Yeah, I just want to see him healthy.
- 19:13I mean, it's literally been six years since he's thrown 200
- 19:16innings. And we all know the capability
- 19:19he has and the arm that he has. And it's just, it sucks because
- 19:24sometimes it's just plagues people and you know, as as a
- 19:28grind of what it is and especially pitching at this
- 19:30level, it it's it sucks because you want to see those guys like
- 19:35that's, you know that Jacob degrom is Paul Skeens back then,
- 19:39because even if you weren't a Mets fan, you wanted to watch
- 19:42him pitch. And that's exactly what he and
- 19:46then still he still has the stuff.
- 19:48It's just if he can stay healthy and you know, it's I'm, I'm
- 19:51happy for him because I, I know being hurt and goody, you know
- 19:54this as well. How much of A grind it is to,
- 19:56you know, to rehab and then see your guys do well or not do well
- 20:00and see them get back. And you know, you've got to
- 20:02wait, Trust the process. And every time you trust the
- 20:05process, he gets hurt again. And I know it can be frustrating
- 20:08and it can beat you up mentally, But, you know, I'm just happy
- 20:11for him that he's continuing to to grind it out and, and it was
- 20:14happy to see him get a win and go do what he does and, and do
- 20:18best. And and he's still, when
- 20:20healthy, is still one of the top five best pitchers in the game.
- 20:24Yeah, there's no question. The stuff is there.
- 20:27You know, the stuff is stuff is clearly there.
- 20:29He's a Cy Young candidate. Cy Young stuff front of the
- 20:33front of the line starter. You know, like you said, the
- 20:38injury bug plagued him for a little while, but he's back.
- 20:40He's pitching well as far as run support.
- 20:43That's just sometimes that's the way the cookie crumbles.
- 20:45You know, it just happens to land on every fifth day and he
- 20:49happens to be starting, you know, but I have a feeling the
- 20:52offense will will turn around and he'll get some run support.
- 20:55I mean, he's he certainly has pitched 2.
- 20:58He shouldn't be, you know, whatever 3 and O however, how
- 21:00many games he's thrown, he should have won them all.
- 21:02I just was looking at his thoughts.
- 21:03So yeah, to get back on the mound is the first thing that
- 21:08you, you know, the the first big hill that you need to to climb
- 21:12when coming back from injury. And now it's just being able to
- 21:15go out, build innings, build your pitch count up, continue to
- 21:18go deep in the game, save your bullpen.
- 21:19Eventually, yeah, the runs will start to click for him.
- 21:22And I, you know, I wouldn't be surprised if he's an All Star
- 21:25and in contention for AL Sai Young.
- 21:28And so, you know, this year or next.
- 21:31I think he's, you know, one of the most special players I've
- 21:35seen pitch as an adult. He's he's up there.
- 21:38So the next one we got is the injury report guys, I just.
- 21:41Want to pull down? So you take a look at it.
- 21:44I wanted to start off with Logan Gilbert, who has the, you know,
- 21:48the flexor strain. We all know what that means.
- 21:51Yep, the flexor strain. The the terminology of old TJ is
- 21:57coming down the Pike any times, anytime now For Logan Gilbert,
- 22:01it's first time he's ever been on the IO on his career ace of
- 22:04the Seattle Mariners voice. What does he mean to that team?
- 22:11He's huge. I mean, obviously being a young
- 22:14kid and having that and that's, you know, like Goody and I have
- 22:18talked about when we talked about injuries early in the year
- 22:21and you know, they give you these words to to cover up
- 22:24what's going to come on. And hopefully it's not it.
- 22:26Hopefully, you know, it's, it's not as bad as it is, but that's
- 22:30usually what ends up happening at some point.
- 22:33Maybe he gets through it a little bit, but at some point
- 22:37it's going to happen. And, you know, just with how
- 22:41young those guys are there, I love I love watching Seattle.
- 22:45And, you know, it's the young talent that they have.
- 22:48They don't get talked about a lot just because they're so far
- 22:51away and you don't see them a lot on TV.
- 22:53So if you don't know the game and if you don't watch it or pay
- 22:56attention, some of these names don't go, you know, recognize as
- 23:01much as they should. Like, you know, Buster Posey
- 23:03comes to an example. Like obviously being on the West
- 23:05Coast, you didn't get to watch them that much.
- 23:07And I think there's, there's a lot of that that happened where
- 23:11you see misguided talent that is really, really good, but you
- 23:14just don't put eyes on the product sometimes.
- 23:16And I think it's a huge loss. It's not going to be a 15 day, I
- 23:21can tell you that much. It's going to be longer than
- 23:24that. Hopefully it's it doesn't turn
- 23:26into TJ. But when it comes down to that
- 23:29with him, you know, anchoring that rotation and and being a
- 23:33young arm and you know, you know, having that experience of
- 23:37success and, and winning and and being that guy, it just it
- 23:42stinks for a young guy like that.
- 23:43Obviously talking about Jacob degrom in that aspect where you
- 23:47don't want it to linger and it keep, you know, manifesting into
- 23:50into more stuff. So you just wish him the best at
- 23:53this point. Yeah, I mean, you're getting a
- 23:56guy who last year through 208 innings, the year before 190
- 24:00innings, the year before that 185 innings.
- 24:02So you're, you're losing a bulk of your, you know, your your
- 24:06innings and you're going to have to rely on the next man up
- 24:09mentality and whether we don't know who, I don't know exactly
- 24:12who that's going to be, but you're losing a front end top of
- 24:16the, you know, top of the rotation guy.
- 24:20And I'm sure you're going to lose him for a while here
- 24:23because flexor strain is the precursor for Tommy John.
- 24:29And it doesn't matter how many times you rehab it or how long
- 24:31you stay on that. You only have so many throws in
- 24:33your arm before it goes. And once it goes, it's a minimum
- 24:37of a year. You know, some guys would like
- 24:39to push it and come back in 11 months, but you're looking at a
- 24:42minimum of a year. So at this point, you know,
- 24:45George Kirby's on the IL, you have Logan Gilbert on the IL,
- 24:48you have Emerson Hancock who's up.
- 24:51I don't really, haven't really watched too much of him.
- 24:53I know Brian Wu's nasty. I always like Bryce Miller and
- 24:55Luis Castillo. So I'm really going to have to
- 24:58anchor down and we'll see what happens with the with those
- 25:01guys. I'll be seeing them in August.
- 25:04So looking forward to hopefully seeing Logan Gilbert pitch.
- 25:09So just going through some of the other injuries, wanted to
- 25:12get Speedy in on this one. A little bit on the Mets bullpen
- 25:16woes. So Minter has, I believe it's a
- 25:20lat or something like that, like very similar to what Louise Heel
- 25:23has. So he's going to be done for
- 25:25looks like 2 to three months type of a situation.
- 25:28And I thought it might be longer.
- 25:31And then another reliever Young going down.
- 25:34You have a lot of stress on this bullpen early in the season.
- 25:39Speedy. How do you, how do you think
- 25:40you're going to be able to hold up with this kind of a MASH unit
- 25:43going on here? Yeah, pitching versatility is
- 25:46going to be the big key for the Mets because the Mets bullpen
- 25:48did this last year as well. And they came on strong in the
- 25:51second-half, but they started off hot and then they went cold
- 25:54and they went hot again. And especially in this kind of
- 25:57year where you're having the starting staff that's pitched
- 26:00very well so far, you don't want to have to like, get it worn
- 26:02down by having to have them pitch an unconventional rolls.
- 26:05Now, Young is not like one of their prize relievers, but he's
- 26:09still a lefty. That's relevant to this team and
- 26:14Minter has been fantastic. He's been probably the best one
- 26:18and even more consistent than Diaz has been so far to start
- 26:21the year. So it'll be interesting to see
- 26:23how like the hybrids turn out to because Peterson's one of those
- 26:27guys and McGill is one of those guys.
- 26:29We'll see when Brooks Raley comes back.
- 26:31They just resigned him back. He had Tommy John surgery.
- 26:33He'll probably need another month though.
- 26:35So I I'm curious to see though, because they don't want to
- 26:38obviously go off of what's hot right now, which is they're
- 26:41starting pitching, but they still have to manage it
- 26:43accordingly and not like get overconfident one way,
- 26:46especially when they start facing some better teams like
- 26:48they have dropping the last two to the Diamondbacks, who were a
- 26:50pretty good team. Just feels like fool's gold to
- 26:53me the the Mets hot start because of this pitching staff,
- 26:57Like they don't have guys that have gone a lot of innings.
- 27:00You were just talking about Logan Gilbert, you know, 200
- 27:03inning guy. Everyone you just mentioned, I
- 27:04don't know if they've ever been over 150.
- 27:07So it's it's if that pen is going down, it might turn very
- 27:12quickly unless the offense can pick up, which you know, it
- 27:15didn't today, except for soda Glasnow in the most not
- 27:20surprising injury Errol of the of the year.
- 27:23He has the exact same injury as Blake Snell is what they're
- 27:27saying, which is another, you know, shoulder type injury that
- 27:31Snell suffered a set back trying to rehab from.
- 27:35The Dodgers have a little been a little bit underwhelming in
- 27:38their beginning of their repeat campaign here.
- 27:42There's nothing underwhelming They're they're still the second
- 27:45best team right now in the major leagues.
- 27:47If you look at that record what their one game behind the Mets.
- 27:50I I don't I think the Dodgers will eventually pull away in the
- 27:53National League. They're still very talented.
- 27:56Losing glass now and even Snell, it's not going to make a
- 27:59difference. They got a tremendous amount of
- 28:00pitching and they haven't even had Ohtani on the mound yet.
- 28:04So I'm sure they're they're going to be fine.
- 28:06And especially what their bullpen provides.
- 28:08They've added so much depth in so many different ways.
- 28:11They get an unbelievable lineup. Eventually everything is going
- 28:14to click for this team and they're going to pull away in
- 28:16the National League. I don't think losing Glass now
- 28:19or even Snell is going to make a difference because they have a
- 28:22tremendous amount of, you know, depth in their on their roster
- 28:27right now and even in their farm system, one of the best farm
- 28:30systems in all of baseball. So I, I think I would like to, I
- 28:35agree with you. I was just trying to make a
- 28:37point about that team and not being as hot as most people
- 28:41thought, but still obviously very good hot.
- 28:44They have the second best record in baseball.
- 28:46They're not enough. I'm just saying like with the
- 28:49with their Ross, with much their spending, Yeah, I know, you
- 28:52know, and what everyone thought, you know, we thought this was
- 28:54going to be like 1927 Yankees. Dude, they're going to win.
- 28:58They're going to win it over 105 games this year.
- 29:00They're going to win like 1415 games in a row.
- 29:04That's that's the time. They got to get healthy, but
- 29:06when they do, you mentioned Otani, but for me, I I don't
- 29:10think he's anywhere near what he used to be, but Clayton Kershaw
- 29:13is going to be back in a month. And I that's my favorite pitcher
- 29:18that I have ever watched pitch like that guy that's not a
- 29:21Yankee. Like I just love watching that
- 29:24guy throw a base. Shell of himself.
- 29:26Shell of. Himself I'm sure he is, but
- 29:28maybe they can put bring him. Maybe he ends up having some
- 29:31cool like late relief role. Why isn't anybody calling Trevor
- 29:34Bauer up? How about that?
- 29:36I think I think you know why. I understand that, but Trevor
- 29:39Bauer right now is as good at any pitcher right now in
- 29:43baseball. And the fact is there are teams
- 29:46that are desperately looking for pitching, starting pitching.
- 29:50Reach out to his agent and and see if they can get a PR guy
- 29:54that that or PR girl that can help.
- 29:57I can start. Yeah, I'm sorry.
- 29:59What's up? What's up Goody?
- 30:00I can start Goody, I'll start tomorrow.
- 30:04There you go, you can bring in goody.
- 30:06You can bring. In we have Shane Green, he's
- 30:07also a rehab and I just watched him.
- 30:09I was throwing with him the other day.
- 30:11We had him on the show, you know, a month or so ago.
- 30:13He looks great man. So really looks good so.
- 30:17Is he a starter or is he a bullpen guy?
- 30:20He's a pen guy, but he's done both in his career, so you know,
- 30:24I'm just saying he's there as well.
- 30:27There's a lot of pictures out there, but.
- 30:28We're going to start doing this play of the week and no, without
- 30:32a doubt, the play happens with the Blue Jays.
- 30:37This is balsa Bar Show falling down and still finding a way.
- 30:41To catch. That ball.
- 30:43Look at this play. This is one of the craziest
- 30:46catches I've ever seen in my life.
- 30:47Falls down somehow, keeps his eyes on the ball the whole time
- 30:51and backhands it. Former catcher, Gold Glove
- 30:54outfielder, now Dalton. VAR show guys.
- 30:58You ever seen anything like that?
- 31:00No, I mean no, they say. They say baseball players aren't
- 31:06athletes. That's an athletic play.
- 31:08Stop. Here he goes.
- 31:10There he goes. He's trying to.
- 31:11Take wait, wait, wait. You don't think baseball players
- 31:14are? What I said was if you were to
- 31:16ask me right now who is the least athletic of the sports,
- 31:20it's baseball players. I say that's.
- 31:22Ridiculous. That's the most stupidest
- 31:24comment you could have. Really.
- 31:25Why? Why is that?
- 31:26Why is that? Because if you put a baseball
- 31:28player in any other sport, we can compete.
- 31:30If you put a really ball player on the mound, really you have
- 31:33them. So you're, so you're, you're
- 31:35telling me that you are more athletic than a LeBron James.
- 31:38You're going to tell me you could get on a basketball court
- 31:41and I'll play LeBron James. Basketball from a three-point
- 31:44line, but LeBron James cannot throw 90 miles an hour.
- 31:47Well, why does he have to? He doesn't.
- 31:49Have to do that I'm telling I'm. Telling you I bet you can run
- 31:51faster than you. I'm telling you I bet you can
- 31:54run faster than you. Yeah, but that.
- 31:56But baseball's different. That's technique.
- 31:59That's technique. But basketball?
- 32:02Come on, come on. Are you going to tell me that
- 32:04baseball players are more athletic than basketball
- 32:07players? This is This is so dumb.
- 32:09That was the. Greatest basketball player not
- 32:10ever. Couldn't cut it on a baseball
- 32:12field. It's a different sport.
- 32:15You're going to tell, all right, there are there are guys that
- 32:18are playing baseball right now that can step up the plate and
- 32:20they're almost £300, OK, You think they could do that on a
- 32:23basketball court? You think a £300 fatso can go up
- 32:27and down a basketball court? Come on.
- 32:29I'm Arrow. I'm saying that we can still
- 32:33compete. We can shoot the basketball, we
- 32:35can dribble the basketball, but. It's easy.
- 32:38That's. Fundamental that's not not a
- 32:41problem when you take an athlete look at all the NFL draft picks
- 32:45that come out and try and take BP, they look terrible aside
- 32:48from. Maybe I never said baseball
- 32:50players aren't athletic, Nick, All I'm saying the least
- 32:54athletic out of the four top sports.
- 32:56Yes, hockey players are more athletic.
- 32:58No, hockey players are more athletic, Basketball players are
- 33:01more athletic and football players are very athletic too.
- 33:04So I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I think.
- 33:07It's a terrible take. I disagree with you.
- 33:10I disagree with you. I didn't agree with you.
- 33:12OK, there we go. I may have to disagree to
- 33:15disagree. All right now I I want to finish
- 33:20off last week or last time we did his name was two weeks ago
- 33:24was the all hot star team. Well, we have the all worst
- 33:27start. I guess the old cold start team
- 33:28starting off with Yanni or Diaz Houston.
- 33:30These are all the lowest WRC pluses at each position in in
- 33:34the league. Andrew Vaughn for the White Sox
- 33:37has been a disaster. The worst player in the league
- 33:39currently is Michael Massey for the Kansas City Royals second
- 33:42baseman with a negative .9 WAR and on 11 WRC plus 11.
- 33:49I didn't even know if you can do that.
- 33:51Joey Ortiz for Milwaukee is a shortstop.
- 33:55You see that shortstop position? Former All Star Ryan McMahon has
- 33:58had one of the worst starts of the season.
- 34:00Mets legend Tommy Pham. Michael Harris the second.
- 34:06Wasn't he rookie of the year a few years ago for the Braves?
- 34:09He was in the top three. Or he was in the top three, but
- 34:11was I think was an All Star once as well.
- 34:13Had a hot first half of the season.
- 34:15Jordan Walker was a top prospect.
- 34:17Josh Bell routinely on these lists just keeps collecting
- 34:21checks. Josh Bell is still in the major
- 34:23leagues. Bowed in Francis starter for the
- 34:27Blue Jays, but look at these next two starters.
- 34:30Wow, Tyner. Barbie Bybee has the second
- 34:33lowest, has like a negative .6 war and then I there's a bunch
- 34:36of guys kind of tied, but the name that I that jumped out was
- 34:39Corbin Burns is having a really bad start to the year.
- 34:44I put a couple of closers on there, the worst two people that
- 34:47had saves on the list and the first one was a pretty good
- 34:52closer, Brazil Iglesias for the Braves.
- 34:55He's has like a negative something more as well.
- 34:58And Jordan Romano, who lost the job I believe in Philly, who's
- 35:02another All Star closer. Both of those guys All Stars.
- 35:06Is that what do we how do we have like 5 or 6 All Stars on
- 35:11this list guys I'm. Surprised you didn't throw Devin
- 35:14Williams on there. Well, I wanted to save Devin
- 35:17Williams for a call to the pen after our sports minute, which
- 35:22will be coming up next, Daryl. And this has been inside
- 35:27baseball. By by the way, I just want to
- 35:28say something. I'm very surprised there are
- 35:31what, 6 guys that are All Stars on that on that list, But I
- 35:35don't think it's going to stay that way.
- 35:37I think they're going to get better at there's 162 games in a
- 35:40season. So eventually as the season
- 35:42prolongs, I think all those guys, when the when it gets warm
- 35:46outside baseball start to smack, You're going to be able to smack
- 35:50the balls. You're going to see more home
- 35:51runs and you're going to see these guys actually get out of
- 35:54their their slumps. Defensively, I think it's going
- 35:56to be fine. Tommy Pham, by the way, I
- 35:59actually like Tommy Pham. I think he's a good player and
- 36:02we've seen what he's done. Get like stabbed a couple of
- 36:05years ago or something like that in the middle of the season.
- 36:07I don't know like. Shot like she had like some
- 36:10crazy and like crazy thing happened and then came back.
- 36:12Tommy Pham But I I do know this Tommy, Tommy Pham.
- 36:16I remember Tommy Pham had every like every other year he gets
- 36:19traded to a team at the trade deadline and then he becomes a
- 36:22big part of their run in the playoffs.
- 36:24So. He was stat in 2020 when he was
- 36:27on the Padres. He was stabbed like 5 times or
- 36:30something. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 36:32we're going to go through the NHL playoffs pretty quickly
- 36:35because obviously we're watching.
- 36:37Obviously the best. To me, the NHL playoffs are the
- 36:40best to watch when it comes to the playoffs.
- 36:42So it's it's absolutely fun and the first round is practically
- 36:46over. We're watching.
- 36:48Actually, if you look at it, there's there's only two teams
- 36:52left that have not gone on to the second round.
- 36:55We got the Winnipeg Jets and the Saint Louis Blues and the
- 36:59Dallas, the Dallas Stars in the Colorado Avalanche as Dallas
- 37:02leads 3:00 to 2:00. So why don't we go Winnipeg,
- 37:05Saint Louis? It's. 3:00 to 3:00.
- 37:07I'm sorry. It's 3:00 to 3:00.
- 37:09Three to three what? Dallas in Colorado.
- 37:14OK. So it's three to, it's 3:00 to.
- 37:15Three. Come on now, get it right Well.
- 37:17I'm not watching the scores here, but anyways it's 3:00 to
- 37:193:00 speedy Winnipeg in Saint Louis.
- 37:23What are your thoughts quickly? Yeah, it it's one of those
- 37:25series that the Winnipeg depends on the goaltending.
- 37:27I think they've outplayed them in pretty much every other
- 37:29aspect. The Blues hanging tough though
- 37:30they were the hottest team in the in the Western Conference
- 37:32the second-half of the season, so.
- 37:34Who did you have in? That I had.
- 37:35I had Winnipeg in six. I had.
- 37:36Winnipeg, too. I, I, I think you had, I think
- 37:39you had him in a sweep and it looked like it was going that
- 37:41way for a while. Then I think Halibucks got shook
- 37:43in game three. He's kind of haven't recovered
- 37:45since. I'm not surprised Winnipeg's
- 37:47going to win this series. They have the best goalie in the
- 37:48world right now. He's been the best goalie really
- 37:51all season long in Hellebug. So I I got Winnipeg Jabba.
- 37:57Yeah, it's obviously I watch it when I can, but yeah, I I think
- 38:03I had Winnipeg in six. All right, it's How about you
- 38:07fish? Yeah, I had.
- 38:08I had Winnipeg in six. I haven't changed my mind.
- 38:12I still have Colorado in Colorado and Dallas even though
- 38:16and you said it's three games to 3.
- 38:17Is that what you said? No, no, no.
- 38:20I'm talking about right now Dallas wins is is leading the
- 38:23series 3 to 2. 332 Dallas in the.
- 38:26Series I know it's three I got that I understand the score is 3
- 38:30three, but I I was going through what the series is and and it's
- 38:343 to 2 Dallas. I expect Colorado to take it 7.
- 38:37I I still have Colorado winning the series if they could take
- 38:40this to seven games, which I had Colorado winning in seven.
- 38:44So if if Colorado can get it 27 games I think Colorado wins this
- 38:48series. The only problem here is Dallas
- 38:50has the better goaltending. Colorado for years has been
- 38:53trying to find a goalie and and for years I've had problems
- 38:56finding them keeping 1. So that's the only problem in
- 38:59this series and not in jurors one I would think a top 7 goalie
- 39:02right now in all the leaves. Easily and Kenzie Blackwood
- 39:05looked good in the beginning of the series for Colorado but has
- 39:08been shelled the first couple of the last couple games.
- 39:10Miro Heisken coming back from Dallas after he was hurt too is
- 39:12a big upgrade to their defense and the Avalanche penalties has
- 39:15to be better. 17% so far in the series.
- 39:18That's not going to cut it against a team like Dallas was a
- 39:20great defense. Fish your thoughts.
- 39:22I, I love Kyle Mccarr. He's like the best defenseman
- 39:25I've seen since Brian Leach playing and like maybe Victor
- 39:28Hedman at his best. You know those, there's only a
- 39:30couple of guys, maybe Carlson when he was a little younger
- 39:33that play like this. He's got, I don't, how many
- 39:36goals did he have this year? Did he get to 30?
- 39:39I think he was a little short. He was very.
- 39:41It was something ridiculous like.
- 39:43That don't forget about Phil Coffey.
- 39:45He was a great a great defensive.
- 39:47Offensive, defensive, well, that that's, that's going back like.
- 39:50No, he did get there. Thirty goals 60.
- 39:51Two assists. Yeah, he got there.
- 39:52He did have thirty goals, right? Sometimes there's enough star
- 39:56power to overcome a better team, and they're trying.
- 40:00I just, I just see Dallas winning this one.
- 40:02I think they're going to finish it tonight if not.
- 40:05Take it home and in the next game I say Dallas.
- 40:08Not surprised about the Vegas nights.
- 40:10We all had Vegas moving on and they beat a Minnesota team
- 40:14that's been up and down all season long.
- 40:15The surprise is, is the way they, you know, stood a state
- 40:19afloat in the second-half of the season.
- 40:21But Vegas moves on the the Kings and Edmonton.
- 40:26I forgot that that series is still three to two.
- 40:29I'm the only one I think that had Edmonton winning that
- 40:31series. I would.
- 40:33Think. Oh, you did so, so it was me and
- 40:35you that had Edmonton moving on. Everybody else did not.
- 40:39I expect Edmonton to end the the, the Kings I I think
- 40:43Edmonton has the best player in the world right now and he's
- 40:46proving it in this series as well.
- 40:48And they got arguably the two best players in the world.
- 40:51Toronto knocks off Ottawa. Not surprised a lot of us.
- 40:55I think everybody had Toronto winning except.
- 40:58I think Java had the upset, I think for.
- 41:00That yeah, he went. He went Ottawa I think.
- 41:03I, I, I did Tommy have Toronto too?
- 41:05I believe so. I think it was Java that had
- 41:06that upset. I'm pretty.
- 41:07Sure not surprised Toronto's moving on.
- 41:09And by the way, Florida beating Tampa 4 one, I mean, just
- 41:14absolute, absolute demolishing the Tampa Bay Lightning.
- 41:18Well, a lot of people thought light the lightning, we're going
- 41:20to put up a fight. Florida is going to be the team
- 41:22to beat right now. I I'm not surprised Florida's
- 41:25moving on four games of one with the talent that they have with
- 41:28Chuck Kelsey and and Brad Marshawn at the trade deadline.
- 41:32I mean, this team is. And don't forget Errol the 4th,
- 41:36the goal and three assists and the +4 by E2.
- 41:41Looser Reinen. There's more of a defensive
- 41:44defense, but it just proves how much depth that they really have
- 41:46it. That was a this was a Tampa team
- 41:47that had the second or they had the best goal differential in
- 41:49the East and Florida took it to them.
- 41:51Carolina obviously knocking off the New Jersey Devils and I want
- 41:56to let the fans understand something.
- 41:58If New Jersey had Jack Hughes, I think it'd be a different
- 42:00series. But they they absolutely
- 42:03demolished the New Jersey Devils and they're going to have a lot
- 42:05of questions in the offseason. Do they keep their coach?
- 42:08Do they move on? There's a lot of questions with
- 42:11the New Jersey Devils moving forward.
- 42:13They're a very good team and and they had a goaltending in the
- 42:16offseason. It wasn't their weakness, but
- 42:18Carolina was by far the better. Team, it just didn't make sense,
- 42:22Errol, I was saying this when they were at the trade deadline
- 42:24buying guys if you don't have Jack Hughes, what are you really
- 42:28trying to accomplish other than a first round exit in five games
- 42:31and. That's what that's what
- 42:32happened. Tom Fitzgerald kind of been
- 42:34stuck in between. They make the.
- 42:35Up assets, they end up a first round.
- 42:38Yeah, they made the big trade with Timo Meyer two years ago,
- 42:40and then they've been kind of stagnant since then.
- 42:42In free agency. They did well, but not enough.
- 42:44And then there's. Washington the same.
- 42:45League and then there's Washington and Montreal, not
- 42:48surprise, another team that Washington's been the best team
- 42:51in the Eastern Conference all season long.
- 42:52Ovechkin and and, and and all the guys that over there,
- 42:55they're they're playing good defense.
- 42:56They have great goaltending. They're going to be a hard out
- 42:59for Carolina. Carolina's going to have
- 43:00problems with Washington because their offensive prowess, you saw
- 43:04what they did against Montreal and they're mean.
- 43:06Washington is a mean team. And I expect this to be a really
- 43:10good series. And I think it's going to come
- 43:12down to the nitty and the gritty.
- 43:13And by the way, I think if if Colorado wins this series and
- 43:19comes back, I would have had every single one out of the
- 43:23first round coming out. Going into the second round, I
- 43:26had Winnipeg, I had Colorado, I had Vegas, I had Edmonton, I had
- 43:31Toronto, I had Florida, I had Washington and I had Carolina.
- 43:36So. You had a Florida, Winnipeg is
- 43:38your Cup pick, right? Yes, I had Dallas, Florida.
- 43:41OK. Yes, I had Florida and Winnipeg
- 43:43and I expect it to be Florida and Winnipeg too.
- 43:46I'm very surprised Winnipeg's had problems with Saint Louis I
- 43:48I'm very surprised. But this is Saint Louis and they
- 43:52find a way to win and they they have good goaltending especially
- 43:56and we know who their goaltender.
- 43:57Is your favorite person interview?
- 44:00So I and we saw what he did for Team Canada in the old star,
- 44:04whatever they call it. So I expect it to still come
- 44:08down to the nitty and the gritty.
- 44:10And now, ladies and gentlemen, our final segment of the night,
- 44:15as we call this the one and only analytics ladies and.
- 44:20Gentlemen. Analytics.
- 44:24I want everybody together to go ahead and say penis, penis,
- 44:28penis, vagina, vagina, vagina. OK, welcome back to yet another
- 44:37quality educational experience, Anal Lytics.
- 44:42If you are new to the game, this is a competition of Errol versus
- 44:47Speedy trying to solve a mystery term within 3 clues.
- 44:52Whoever gets it right in the fewest amount of clues is the
- 44:56winner. However, there is a catch.
- 44:57They have to use it correctly in a sentence once they guess the
- 45:02term. Now they've both thought of
- 45:04mystery terms and they're going to share them to each other
- 45:07first for a wild guess round before the clues start.
- 45:10Except the terms are a little different.
- 45:12So Speedy, who is a master of sports analytics, is coming up
- 45:17with a sports analytical term. And Errol, tonight, it'll be
- 45:20from basketball. This is not usually Errol's
- 45:24Forte. Errol's more of an eye test man
- 45:28when it comes to sports, more of a traditionalist as they say,
- 45:33with how he evaluates the athletes.
- 45:35So these terms are foreign to him.
- 45:38Foreign to Speedy though are not these terms.
- 45:41These terms that Speedy will be getting from Errol are what
- 45:46Speedy usually calls gross sexual crap.
- 45:49Yes, these will be sexual innuendos and the they will go
- 45:53over Speedy's head on our daily basis, so he is going to have
- 45:57just a hardest time to try to figure out his term as Errol
- 46:01will his leading to the great competition of analytics.
- 46:05Boys, you ready for tonight's game to start?
- 46:06I'm always ready. All right, we're going to get
- 46:09the music going speedy for your big reveal of your term of the
- 46:15night. All right, so it's PER.
- 46:19PER. PER rating is one of them.
- 46:23Yep, rating is correct. And this is basketball, right?
- 46:26Yep, points. No all.
- 46:31Right, I got 1. All right, you got one, but no
- 46:37cigar. All right, Speedy, you're on the
- 46:40clock. Here comes the music.
- 46:42All right. All right.
- 46:44Speedy a big reveal. Here it is topping.
- 46:53This is so vague that I wouldn't want to know what it is.
- 46:57All right, Topping. Topping.
- 47:05Not the guy that played for the Knicks.
- 47:07No. His brother.
- 47:09I know the miners, I know. I figured it wouldn't didn't
- 47:12have anything to do with that. All right, let's go for the
- 47:15approach of maybe it's like having to do with like dessert
- 47:19toppings. So like.
- 47:21It was like. Whipped cream bikini things that
- 47:24I know a lot of women like to do so maybe.
- 47:28Because you watched Varsity Blues once.
- 47:33So one of those types of things, but also like freaking sex on a
- 47:38beach type thing. Speedy, I guess I'm going to
- 47:43answer that wrong. It was not very coherent of an
- 47:49answer, but I award you an A forever.
- 47:52No points. No points and God rest your
- 47:55soul. Rest your soul, we are all
- 47:59right. It's time for a clue Speedster
- 48:03on PER. OK.
- 48:04So if you have if you have a higher shooting percentage and
- 48:09you also do it while not having to use so many possessions to do
- 48:13it, you're considered one of the more blank players in the NBA.
- 48:22OK, that's a good, good clue. PER well, you gave me a hint, so
- 48:33it's definitely player. So you got player rating right?
- 48:41We got two of them. You need the EI don't get.
- 48:50I don't get it. I don't get it.
- 48:52No, all right, we're not there yet, but not that far away after
- 48:56one clue. Except now the tables have
- 48:58turned and guess what happens? Now we are going to have Speedy
- 49:05coming on up for the next one on Analytics.
- 49:11OK, Speedy, what of the holes get reamed?
- 49:21OK, one of the holes all. Right, let's go.
- 49:30One of the holes. Your word is topping.
- 49:36Topping is my. What?
- 49:37What is topping? One of the holes.
- 49:42Yeah, OK. I'm trying to figure out the
- 49:44other part that's going in that's more and more confused
- 49:47about holes. I have like a 5050 shot.
- 49:49It's just all right, let's go topping though.
- 49:57Let's let's go with I'll go with the vagina.
- 50:08And it would be no, it wouldn't be the top of the body.
- 50:16That wouldn't make sense. So how about you?
- 50:22Maybe you go on top of them and then you put your no, your
- 50:29tongue wouldn't work it seems like physically.
- 50:37Your tongue wouldn't work. Yeah, I guess it has to.
- 50:41Be I love I love how Speedy like talks out loud for us to hear
- 50:46his stuff. Yeah, let's say, let's say,
- 50:47let's say are you climb. So you climb on top of somebody
- 50:50and then your penis goes in the vagina.
- 50:54Speedy Yep, that just like sex like like how that like normal.
- 51:02I'm going to have to give you a new credit for this.
- 51:05One man, but. It was a good effort, it always
- 51:08is. Was it though?
- 51:09Well, it was an effort. OK.
- 51:14All right, let's go back for another clue on PER.
- 51:19All right, in general terminology, the quickest method
- 51:23of doing something is considered the most.
- 51:28Oh that's a good one. Starts with an E.
- 51:31Say that again. So in general, the quickest
- 51:33method of accomplishing something is considered the
- 51:36most. Not me.
- 51:42OK this is easy bro. With an E.
- 51:51Yeah, the quickest. It's one of Speedy's usual, you
- 51:56know, terms that describe something.
- 51:59The quickest and most blank. I think I've got it.
- 52:06Yeah, you got it. Let's go.
- 52:08Player Efficient Rating Did I get it?
- 52:15Did I get it? Correct.
- 52:16It's efficiency. Player efficiency rating.
- 52:20We're not going to hold it against you that you don't know
- 52:22how to conjugate verbs in the English language, but that is
- 52:26correct that here's a problem. You have to use it in a sentence
- 52:32correctly for the complete win or else Speedy gets a chance to
- 52:37win their tie. LeBron James LeBron James's
- 52:41player efficiency Efficiency rating is better than Wilt
- 52:46Chamberlain's was in 1970. That's good.
- 52:52That's. I'm going to have to look it up
- 52:54right now to make sure that that's right. 1970 Wilt
- 52:59Chamberlain. PER which definitely makes.
- 53:03Sense from back then. It makes sense.
- 53:06So he had a PER career of 26.2. And LeBron is higher, so Errol's
- 53:14right. 26.88 for his career. Errol, that means you are
- 53:21tonight's runaway champion of. Of analytics.
- 53:26A quality educational experience, but you know we
- 53:30can't just leave this unfinished for.
- 53:33Speedy, Speedy, here we go. 2 guys can have a little fun this
- 53:41way, OK? So it's tag team, tag team
- 53:46sexual crap. Like the Usos?
- 53:48On the same, I don't know what that means.
- 53:50That doesn't help sexual crap. All right, so.
- 53:55Whole there is AI. Remember the whole part again,
- 53:58that's like the only part I can figure out in this.
- 54:01The question is, was I right on the vagina?
- 54:03That's what I don't know. All right, so two guys what?
- 54:14If I told you no, you know what, just keep going.
- 54:17So. It's obviously two guys penises,
- 54:24are they going at the same time or is it layered on top of each
- 54:28other? Layered.
- 54:30Layered on top of each other. Let's go at the same time.
- 54:34Like like an art project? Into the vagina while they're on
- 54:40top of a woman. At the same time is.
- 54:43What you're saying at the same time I'm going to go with.
- 54:45That in the same location. Yeah.
- 54:49Do they like, absorb each other's bodies?
- 54:51I don't know. How the hell is 2 guys going to
- 54:56get on top of one woman to get it in one hole?
- 55:00How the hell? Is that feel like Speedy is on
- 55:03the dark web more than we realize?
- 55:07How is that possible? I I'd like to see that.
- 55:12Well, I mean, since it's an educational experience of
- 55:16highest of quality, Errol, you do have to educate Speedy on
- 55:20this term before we leave tonight.
- 55:22Here here's here's the definition.
- 55:26It's when a person who is actively engaging in a
- 55:31penetration during sexual intercourse, typically in what?
- 55:38What hole? Vagina.
- 55:39No ass. There you go.
- 55:42Anal intercourse within the LGBTQ community.
- 55:48What is that? I know.
- 55:50What that is? But what does it have to do with
- 55:51a woman? Doesn't have to do with a woman
- 55:53you idiot. It's two men.
- 55:57I I did read that it can be two women, but it.
- 56:01Can, but it's it's two men. It's two men penetrating from
- 56:07where Speedy? Penetrating Basshole.
- 56:11That. That was at four O 630 sound
- 56:19clip man. The asshole.
- 56:25Speedy, you didn't win tonight, but you always give your your
- 56:29best effort, which is why we have such a great time.
- 56:34Learning wait is I just how do you layer 2 penises on top of
- 56:39each other? I don't get that either that.
- 56:41You make a backsplash first and you put the first one down.
- 56:46Oh no man, beats to be looking at some weird ass shit.
- 56:50This Internet browser probably just.
- 56:54What the hell? How do you layer a penis on top
- 56:57of a penis? Is is that something that you
- 57:00typed into like Brock yesterday or something like how to do it?
- 57:06I'm just trying to think of this.
- 57:07How does that work? Does it go opposite?
- 57:10I don't I don't understand. You're talking about search
- 57:14history. That's the first thing I cleared
- 57:16when my dad. Passed.
- 57:17Away. I didn't want to know.
- 57:20How does 2 penises overlayer each other to go inside of a
- 57:25woman? Well, it's like a French braid,
- 57:29you know, like. Those got one.
- 57:31Over the other. One over the other, layered.
- 57:33Those going to be monster penises beating.
- 57:38Very dexterous as well. Thank you to all the fans out
- 57:41there on social media and all the trends on Twitter.
