- 0:19Hello and welcome to episode 44 of the All Systems Go Sports
- 0:24Betting podcast Powered by Rhythm.
- 0:27I'm your host, Josh Applebaum. What's going on everyone?
- 0:34Happy Wednesday. We are halfway through our work
- 0:37week. We got a lot to get to on
- 0:38today's POD. I have a 5 pack of sweats for
- 0:41you, including three Major League Baseball plays, two of
- 0:44which are kind of an expensive price, but I think deservedly
- 0:47so. And then the third play is going
- 0:49to be on a very good team at a very cheap price.
- 0:52And maybe you have an inkling of who I'm talking about, but they
- 0:55have been great when they are a favorite of -150 or less.
- 0:58Then we got to look at the playoffs.
- 1:00We have a big bet in the NBA here for tonight.
- 1:02Can my Celtics finish off the Cavs?
- 1:05Well, Cavs have a lot of injuries and Celtics are favored
- 1:08by like 15 1/2. I'm not going to touch that one,
- 1:10but I do have a bet on Mavericks and Thunder, so stay tuned for
- 1:13that as well as a bet in the NHL.
- 1:16Now there's only one NHL game tonight, Colorado and Dallas,
- 1:19and I'm going to focus on a money line play here with not
- 1:22maybe the most or sharpest data situation, but a vibes and a
- 1:27goaltending edge. So stay tuned for that play as
- 1:29well on episode 44, a big Wednesday of the All Systems Go
- 1:33Sports betting Pod. Now looking back toward
- 1:35yesterday, absolutely brutal. It was a nightmare.
- 1:39One and 6 -, 5.4 units and really pretty much everywhere
- 1:43you look we got let down. So looking toward Vancouver,
- 1:46Edmonton, kicking myself 'cause I saw the red flag with the
- 1:49juiced up under 6 1/2, I went the over based on principle that
- 1:52cashed every over. Finally, Pickard plays great.
- 1:54It's a three to two game. WNBA had a great edge there on
- 1:58the Aces, actually beat the closing line -16 1/2, closed at
- 2:0217 Aces with a projection there of rhythm, winning by 20.
- 2:06They only win by 9. So let us down in that spot.
- 2:09You're looking at the NBA Pacers.
- 2:11An absolute no show. So here's I'm going to give you,
- 2:13I'm going to tell you how to kind of approach the next day,
- 2:17the following day after a bad night.
- 2:18But I need a little bit time to vent, 'cause you guys are my
- 2:21buddies. I always imagine when I'm doing
- 2:22the pod, just sitting around with a bunch of of my friends,
- 2:25maybe maybe having an alcoholic drink maybe two or three after
- 2:28last night. But talking about games,
- 2:29venting, and that's that's part of the psyche of a sports
- 2:32better. But if you just, you know, humor
- 2:34me for a second. The Pacers come on, man.
- 2:37Plus 1 1/2, they close at 1:00 at a couple shops, didn't even
- 2:40show up, end up losing by 30 points.
- 2:43What a pathetic performance by Indiana.
- 2:45So the Pacers let us down. And then baseball, another
- 2:48horror show there, Texas. We actually beat the closing
- 2:51line there because I think we got the Rangers at, what was it,
- 2:54-120 -, 115. They end up closing -125.
- 2:58They come up short against Cleveland.
- 3:01Then obviously Arizona has a 2 nothing lead early.
- 3:03They blow it lose six to two. Seattle had a one nothing lead
- 3:07late, they blow it and lose 4 to 2.
- 3:09The only winner, the only team that actually did what they were
- 3:12supposed to and came through for us was wouldn't you guess that
- 3:15the Dodgers were probably going to win the World Series.
- 3:17So looking back yesterday guys, again, a terrible night.
- 3:20One and 6 -, 5.4 units. Just a couple comments.
- 3:23One, bankroll management is so critical because again,
- 3:27especially when you're playing some minus numbers, bet Tris
- 3:30versus bet to win, risking 1 unit.
- 3:33Very, very important 'cause if you have a bad night like like
- 3:35last night, you want to be able to not clean out your bankroll,
- 3:38but absorb the the bad vibes and the losses and be able to bounce
- 3:42back and fight the next day. If you're risking too much each
- 3:45game, a bad night like that can really, really hurt you.
- 3:48It hurts anyway, just based on not having these winners come
- 3:51through like we wanted them to. But bankroll management, bet
- 3:54transfers, Bet to win, risk 1 to 3% of your bankroll per play.
- 3:58That is always the key. Secondly, these nights happen
- 4:02again if you've been in sports betting long enough.
- 4:04Nights like that are terrible. They're annoying, they're
- 4:07frustrating, but it happens. Sometimes you go six and one,
- 4:09sometimes you go one and six. The important thing here,
- 4:13though, is #1. Recognize the market that we are
- 4:16dealing with because sports betting, it's difficult.
- 4:19It ain't easy and maybe you're new to sports betting and you
- 4:22think you're going to become a millionaire.
- 4:23Well, guess what I mean, like make it easy on you to start.
- 4:25You're not. Look at sports betting as a side
- 4:28hustle, an investment opportunity, looking at making
- 4:31some some cash on the side. You know, people want to, I
- 4:34don't know, drive Uber and make some extra cash.
- 4:36While sports betting look at it as a supplementary income,
- 4:39something you can strive toward. And again, those unrealistic
- 4:42expectations are when you really, really get hurt on a
- 4:45night like last night, 1:00 and 6:00, because you feel like it's
- 4:48easy. Well, guess what, It's not.
- 4:49It's a hard market to beat. The odds makers and their
- 4:52supercomputers set really sharp numbers.
- 4:54Sharp plays sometimes don't come through.
- 4:56Teams let you down. Bullpens implode.
- 4:58I mean, that's just part of sports betting.
- 5:00So you got to have thick skin and you can't basically give up
- 5:03because after night, like like last night, I think it's human
- 5:05nature to go one of two directions. 1 is to say, F it,
- 5:10throw your hands up. This is ridiculous.
- 5:12The gambling gods are against me.
- 5:14So I'm either going to one bet a ton tonight and try to get it
- 5:18all back and chase, don't do that.
- 5:20Or two, say screw this sports betting thing.
- 5:22It ain't for me. It's too hard, It's too
- 5:25frustrating. It makes me stay up all night
- 5:28and gives me a terrible, you know, terrible mood and screws
- 5:31up my day. It just ain't for me.
- 5:33So I would say don't do either of those.
- 5:35I think if you've been in the game long enough and you've had
- 5:37the ups and downs, just keep grinding, I think it's obviously
- 5:41it's a boilerplate response. Maybe it's not what you want to
- 5:44hear after a bad night, but I think you've been in the game
- 5:46long enough. As I keep mentioning, you know
- 5:48that there's ups and downs and you can't get too high or too
- 5:51low. So whether you go one and six or
- 5:53six and one, really, the process doesn't change.
- 5:55You stick to the bankroll management, flat batting,
- 5:58discipline approach. You play the system matches.
- 6:00You don't get too cute and bet too many or don't get too scared
- 6:04and and hey, you know scared money don't make no money.
- 6:07I can't place a bet. I'm too scared of winning.
- 6:09It's always next bet mentality. Keep grinding, Stick with it.
- 6:13So again, will that be the last night we ever go one and six?
- 6:16No. I'm sure we'll go one and six
- 6:17again at some point down the road.
- 6:19But I also know we're going to go six and one at one point down
- 6:21the road. So just stick with it.
- 6:23It was a rough day. There's no way to sugarcoat it.
- 6:25But guess what? The one thing I love about
- 6:27sports betting is that obviously we all want to win and there's
- 6:30no better feeling when you spend time capping a game, you know,
- 6:34locating a good sharp move, sweating the game, it comes
- 6:37through and you win. It's the best feeling to me in
- 6:39the world, other than maybe a couple others, which I'll keep
- 6:41to myself. But that's what you love about
- 6:44sports betting. What I also love about betting
- 6:46is that every day is a challenge.
- 6:47Again, I've always mentioned this, but you go six and one,
- 6:50It's a challenge to have another winning day.
- 6:51You go one and six. It's a challenge to pick
- 6:54yourself up, dust yourself off, get right back out there and and
- 6:58really approach it as a next bet mentality.
- 7:01Coach K for Duke I mentioned this maybe, I don't know if I
- 7:04did or not. It was on the previous pod.
- 7:05But he always talked about next play mentality.
- 7:08He learned it in the military when he was under Bobby Knight
- 7:11at what was it it was Army or was it army.
- 7:14I think it was Army. But anyway, he learned basically
- 7:18that hey, you make a mistake, you make an error.
- 7:20You lose the game-winning shot. You know you make a you miss a
- 7:24free throw. Are you going to cry about it?
- 7:26Are you going to, you know, punch your, punch your hand
- 7:29through a glass window? Are you going to break your TVI
- 7:31mean? You can do that if you want, but
- 7:33it's not going to change the outcome.
- 7:34It's not going to take back the losses.
- 7:36So instead of lamenting on the losses, use it as motivation,
- 7:39use it as fuel to get right back out there and get back after it
- 7:43and try to claw back the units that you lost.
- 7:45So always next bet mentality and as well in terms of sports
- 7:49betting, it's the challenge of and the opportunity, I should
- 7:52say, to bounce back. The beauty of sports betting is
- 7:54that every day you get a new chance to have a winning day and
- 7:57that's what I think we should focus on.
- 7:59But I won't. I won't kid you guys.
- 8:01The only the only bright note on a terrible night was, believe it
- 8:04or not, the Boston Bruins cashing as a plus one.
- 8:06What was it? Plus 180 playing a great game
- 8:09beating the beating the Florida Panthers and forcing a Game 6
- 8:12back in Boston. So the Bruins game, it was
- 8:15funny. All the games last night were
- 8:16like late games 8:00, nine o'clock 10:00.
- 8:19The Bruins won. I'm I'm you know on cloud nine
- 8:21and then I'm like OK, nice. Now I get to sweat my plays.
- 8:24Every play's losing. So what are you going to do that
- 8:26sports betting Thick skin. We're not going to complain.
- 8:29We're not going to cry. We're going to back at it today
- 8:30and see if we can have a winning day.
- 8:33So that being said, let's dive right in to some sweats for
- 8:36today. As I mentioned, A5 pack.
- 8:38So first one on the board here, New York Mets and the
- 8:40Philadelphia Phillies. Now this is a 6:40 PM Eastern
- 8:43Time game. We have the Phillies 30 and 13.
- 8:46They've taken the first two games of this four-game series.
- 8:48Now it's home and home. First two games are in New York.
- 8:50Now it goes to Philly. They won the opener five to four
- 8:53in extras as a -, 1 O five Rd. Dog won again yesterday for
- 8:56nothing as a -, 120 Rd. favorite pitching matchup.
- 9:00Tonight we have Joey Lucchesi, A lefty here going for the Mets.
- 9:04He's making his debut last year. He went four and O with a 2.89
- 9:07ERA. Meanwhile, Phillies are going
- 9:09with Ranger Suarez and I got to look up his Cy Young odds.
- 9:12Ranger Suarez is 7 and O with a 1.5 OERA.
- 9:15Where am I going here? I mentioned I got some bigger
- 9:18prices here, but I think they're big for a reason.
- 9:20Go with the Phills. Phillies have a ton of steam.
- 9:23The Phillies opened this game as low as a -, 170 -, 180 home
- 9:27favorite. Now they're up to -190, even
- 9:29-200 at some shops now. I was able to jump on a -, 190 a
- 9:33little bit earlier today, so always keep out for the sharp
- 9:36report that I write for. vson.com comes out around noon,
- 9:39Eastern Time. That's always kind of my like,
- 9:40precursor to the pod, but huge steam on Philly.
- 9:44Now they're getting around 90% of bets in dollars.
- 9:46So both pro and Joe support but also big steam in their favor,
- 9:49which tells me smart money hammered Philadelphia here.
- 9:52Now the Phillies are going to lean on their their offense.
- 9:54They're hitting two 5950 homers, 222 run scored.
- 9:59The Mets are only hitting 233 with 41 homers and only 172 run
- 10:04scored. Now I've been playing around
- 10:06with systems and anytime I have a bad night, I try to recreate,
- 10:10see where I went wrong some. Some plays were obvious before
- 10:12something. Other plays don't feel as bad if
- 10:15you beat the closing line and just didn't come through.
- 10:17But it always gets me to spend some time as I'm frustrated to
- 10:21go through my database and try to recreate and create new
- 10:23betting systems. Because betting systems I always
- 10:26kind of come up with them after I lose.
- 10:27So one thing I was looking at, I mentioned this I think
- 10:30previously on the pod. But when you see a total fall,
- 10:33that's a good sign for a favorite because the fewer
- 10:34amount of expected run scored correlative betting wise in
- 10:37baseball more likely to come from the better team.
- 10:40So in the total falls at least 1/2 run.
- 10:42Very simple. But take the favorite.
- 10:44This total fell from 8 down to 7 1/2 total fall's 1/2 run.
- 10:47Take the favorite. That's 125 and 76 this year. 62
- 10:51percent, 6% ROI. So it's been a good angle to
- 10:54back. Also Phillies.
- 10:57They're great against lefties. Hope that continues.
- 10:58Tonight they're hitting 267 against lefties.
- 11:01That's the 5th best in baseball. Mets are rating 224.
- 11:04Against southpaws, that ranks 18th.
- 11:07Philly also is 8 and O when Suarez takes the bump.
- 11:09And the Phillies are 15 and seven at home.
- 11:11One of the best home teams in baseball.
- 11:13So I do see a book still offering a -, 190 on Philly.
- 11:17Obviously have multiple outs to try to get Philly anywhere you
- 11:19can sub -200 that we can get a little bit, a little bit more
- 11:23than 1/2 unit back here. But let's go, Phills, big steam.
- 11:26That's where I want to be. I'm on Philly -190.
- 11:30Keep on cruising. Another somewhat expensive
- 11:31price, a little bit less, but still a bit chalky.
- 11:34But I'm riding it. Let's go Atlanta Braves.
- 11:36Atlanta Braves tonight are at home against the Chicago Cubs.
- 11:38They say 7:20 PM first pitch. Now the Braves are 26 and 13.
- 11:43They've won the first two games of this three-game series.
- 11:46They won the opener 2 nothing as a -, 140 home favorite.
- 11:49They won again yesterday. 7 nothing as a -, 190 home
- 11:52favorite. For tonight's series finale, the
- 11:54Cubs, who are 24 and 19, they're going with Javier Assad, 3, and
- 11:58O 1.7 OERA. The Braves, meanwhile, will send
- 12:01out the ageless wonder, the veteran righty Charlie Morton
- 12:05three and O 3.14 ERA. What do we see across the market
- 12:08here? Well, if you like Philly, you
- 12:10like Atlanta. It's very similar.
- 12:12Atlanta Open this game around -165.
- 12:15We've now seen Atlanta get bet up all the way to round -185 -,
- 12:18190. So big sharp steam in favor of
- 12:21the Braves with a you know $0.20 team move in their favor.
- 12:25Now they're getting around 80% of bets in dollars.
- 12:27Again, both pro and Joe support Atlanta going to bank on their
- 12:30offense similar to Philly, hopefully over over the Mets,
- 12:35but the Braves are hitting 255 versus only 234 for Chicago.
- 12:40The Braves have that non division favorite value with a
- 12:43lack of familiarity benefiting quote UN quote, the better team
- 12:45who's expected to win based upon the minus number in front of
- 12:49their odds. Atlanta is the best home team in
- 12:51baseball, 15 and four, Chicago just 11 and 13 on the road and
- 12:56the Braves have the better bullpen.
- 12:57They have an ERA of 3.26 versus 4.5 O for the Cubs and I was
- 13:02looking at Atlanta in the spot. I was curious like how do they
- 13:04do specific specifically as a favorite.
- 13:06They're 25 and 1071%. That's the third best of any
- 13:10team in baseball when they're favored to win.
- 13:12So big sharp steam going here with Atlanta, shop around.
- 13:16I got Atlanta at -185. Then last by the night this
- 13:21might be an action not listed pitcher 'cause we're still
- 13:23waiting on the pitcher or you kind of quasi are waiting on the
- 13:26pitcher. But I'm going to go back to all
- 13:28the Dodgers tonight, Dodgers 9:45 PM Eastern Time playing the
- 13:32San Francisco Giants. Now we had the Dodgers, our lone
- 13:35win last night. What a pathetic night last night
- 13:38was. I still can't get over it.
- 13:39Anyway, they they won 1:50 as around a -, 180 -, 185 Rd.
- 13:45favorite. Well, for tonight we know for
- 13:47sure it's going to be Logan Webb for San Francisco.
- 13:50And again, Webb's been a good pitcher for a few years now.
- 13:52At this point, he is 3 and four with a 3.3 ERA.
- 13:57Now the Dodgers it we aren't. We don't know exactly who
- 14:01they're starting, but it looks like it's going to be Ryan
- 14:03Yarborough. He's a lefty, 3 and one 2.56
- 14:06ERA. This could be basically an
- 14:07opener and a bullpen game for the Dodgers, which actually I
- 14:11think is a benefit because if you look last night, Stone had a
- 14:14really good game. He pitched 6 innings.
- 14:15Wynn, who was roughed up, he only went four innings.
- 14:19So basically, the Dodgers bullpen has got more rest than
- 14:23San Fran off of last night. And here's the other angle.
- 14:25Even though Webb has been really good this year and good the last
- 14:30few years, he does struggle against the Dodgers.
- 14:32And I get it. You know, they're a division
- 14:34opponent. You really match up quite a bit.
- 14:36You play each other a lot as a divisional opponent.
- 14:39So there's a lot of familiarity of the Dodgers lineup, having
- 14:42faced Webb quite a bit here. And Webb actually pitched
- 14:45against the Dodgers back on April 2nd.
- 14:47It was a while ago, but he had a loss.
- 14:50They lost five to four. He only lasted 3.2 innings, gave
- 14:53up five runs and seven hits. So I want to bank on the
- 14:56familiarity of this Dodgers lineup, hopefully getting to
- 14:58Webb. Also, you look at San Fran, they
- 15:01have some injuries. I saw Lee who was one of their
- 15:05offseason additions. He just got hurt.
- 15:07The bats are much better with the Dodgers dirting 26359
- 15:11homers. Ohtani's hitting what, like 360?
- 15:14Mookie Betts playing short, crushing it.
- 15:16They've scored 236 runs. San Fran's hitting 23838 homers,
- 15:20165 runs. So much better offense here and
- 15:24then also the value of the number.
- 15:26Now this hasn't moved a ton like this game.
- 15:29The Dodgers, they open around, actually it is starting to move,
- 15:31which I'm glad we're getting the pod out now, but they open
- 15:33around -135. They're up to around -140.
- 15:36So I've ticked up a little bit in favor of the the Dodgers.
- 15:40But here's where I was mentioning and kind of hinting
- 15:42at when we started the pod, a value play on the Dodgers.
- 15:45Did you guys know that when the Dodgers are a favorite of -150
- 15:49or less, they're nine and three this year, 75%.
- 15:52Thirty, 2% ROI. When they are a favorite of -150
- 15:55or less over the last three years, pretty big sample size.
- 15:59They're 60 and 2967 percent, 18% ROI.
- 16:03So the whole point of that is, hey the Dodgers, they're usually
- 16:07-200 -, 250. When do you ever get the Dodgers
- 16:11-140? It just doesn't come around that
- 16:13often. So I'm going to bank on the
- 16:15offense. They have a little bit of line
- 16:16movement. You would qualify as a favorite
- 16:18low total told this one is 8, but it's juiced up a little bit
- 16:20under. So I got the Dodgers shop
- 16:23around. I got the Dodgers at -140, but
- 16:25reminder, you may only have the option of action because I don't
- 16:29know if Yarborough is officially been named the starter he's
- 16:31expected to be. This is the one, one time
- 16:34situation where I actually would advocate going action instead of
- 16:37listed pitcher. Just win the game.
- 16:39Doesn't really matter who's starting.
- 16:40Let's get the bats going. Let's go Dodgers at a very cheap
- 16:43price, -140. So Philly, Atlanta, and the
- 16:47Dodgers, can we get two out of three?
- 16:49That is the goal for tonight. Now over to the NBA, because
- 16:53there are two big games tonight hinted at.
- 16:54The Celtics game feels like they should blow out the Cavs.
- 16:57Cavs have a ton of injuries. Donovan Mitchell might be
- 17:00missing this game. I also have Karis LeVert who's
- 17:02questionable. Jarrett Allen, He's been Mia.
- 17:05He doesn't isn't expected to start Lions really moving to the
- 17:07Celtics 15 1/2 up to 16 at some shops total stayed the same
- 17:11around two O 5 1/2. I just really have a hard time
- 17:15diagnosing these Celtics games because they'll either win by 30
- 17:17or you know they'll barely win and they won't cover.
- 17:20They're just Jekyll and Hyde, so I won't know no part of that
- 17:22game, but I do want a part of this Mavs Thunder game.
- 17:26Now I'll tell you right now I'm rooting for the Thunder.
- 17:29Got a series ticket -120 I think.
- 17:32So they're my rooting interest for the game tonight.
- 17:34Now the line has moved a little bit in favor of Dallas.
- 17:39This game was some shops -5 -, 4 1/2 for OK C Some of those books
- 17:44are 4 1/2 for now 4, but I'm going to focus on the total.
- 17:47The total really jumped out to me for a couple reasons.
- 17:50First off, the public's going over and I get it.
- 17:53You got SGA, you got Doncic, you got Kyrie Irving.
- 17:56A lot of offensive stars out there.
- 17:58So currently you have around 65% of bets going over.
- 18:03Yet the total's fallen a bit here.
- 18:06This total open as high as 214. It's now down to 213.
- 18:09I see one book at 212 1/2. So the total's falling even
- 18:13though the public's betting the over.
- 18:15This smells like a reverse line. Move under to me guys.
- 18:18Only 35% bets but nearly half the money is on the under.
- 18:22Now postseason unders this year are 36 and 3154%, so slightly
- 18:26profitable beating the magic number of 52.38%.
- 18:30But I wanted to research 'cause I I I wanted to kind of see the
- 18:34difference between the Cavs Celtics total of 2O52O6 versus a
- 18:37total that's like double you know 210 or more.
- 18:40And I found something very interesting.
- 18:42I'm calling this the sweet spot under in the postseason this
- 18:45year when the total is 210 or more, the under is 23 and 1364%
- 18:51with a 22% ROI. Now if you look at kind of the
- 18:55way the series is trending, first couple games are a little
- 18:57bit higher, scoring 212 and 229. But the last two games 2O6196,
- 19:04so they've averaged about 210 points overall.
- 19:07But really you can kind of see the way this situation is
- 19:10trending and these games are so critical, so important.
- 19:13It's kind of getting close to my game seven under system match.
- 19:16You know, I always love to go under game seven because you
- 19:19have tired legs. So much is at stake.
- 19:21You know how to match up. You played each other so many
- 19:23times. So we're not quite there yet.
- 19:25This is game five. But we're kind of getting to
- 19:27that you know crunch time under system play and we do have OK C
- 19:31#4 defensive efficiency this year.
- 19:34Dallas was 16th, so basically top half both these teams.
- 19:38But if you're giving me public hammering the over and yet the
- 19:40total's fallen and we have a really good edge here Sweet spot
- 19:43210 or more. The under 64%.
- 19:45I'm going to go with the under here.
- 19:47Dallas. OK C under 213.
- 19:50Make sure you get the 213 because there are some shops at
- 19:52212. 1/2. Lastly to finish up the pod,
- 19:56hopefully bounce back Pod. Dear God I hope it is.
- 19:59But looking at the NHL tonight, there's one game.
- 20:02Colorado, Dallas. Now this one's interesting for a
- 20:05couple reasons. Dallas is up 3:00 to 1:00.
- 20:07If Dallas wins tonight, they get rid of the Colorado ABS.
- 20:10ABS season is over. Dallas advances to the Western
- 20:13Conference finals where they will play either Edmonton or
- 20:16Vancouver. What's interesting about this
- 20:18one? Is this line did dip a little
- 20:20bit. You know Dallas open this game
- 20:22at around a -, 145 -, 140 favorite.
- 20:27The line is down to at some shops -135.
- 20:30But now I'm starting to see it tick back up to around -140.
- 20:33So it kind of came down a bit but now it's starting to creep
- 20:36back up. So later in the day late
- 20:38movement you always like to mention that you know game day
- 20:41movement is so important to me it's creeping back toward
- 20:43Dallas. Now if you look at some of the
- 20:46bet splits for tonight, currently we have for this match
- 20:50up here 68% of bets, 69% of dollars are on Dallas So
- 20:55obviously that is a majority pro and Joe.
- 20:58But here's my angle for playing Dallas tonight.
- 21:00So I played Dallas. I got them at -135.
- 21:03My angle is 2 things. One goaltending.
- 21:05If you look at these goaltenders here Ottinger's been much
- 21:08better. Jake Ottinger in the post season
- 21:11is 2O2 point O2 goals against average 923 say percentage.
- 21:17Georgiev for Dallas 3.1 O goals against 891 save percentage.
- 21:22So I can't stress how important goaltending is you if you
- 21:25watched the Bruins game last night.
- 21:27Swayman did it again. The kids incredible but big edge
- 21:30with Ottinger. Much better goals against much
- 21:32better save percentage. Here's where I'm going to
- 21:35basically I'm I was leaning Dallas and then I was reading an
- 21:38article that made me say I want to bet against Colorado tonight
- 21:40and here's the reason. Valerie Nashushkin, If you guys
- 21:44haven't noticed or haven't heard about this, this is kind of a
- 21:47story that's gaining more steam and it's not a good story.
- 21:50Valerie Nashushkin, he entered the Player Assistance program, I
- 21:54want to say it was earlier this year.
- 21:56That's basically if you have trouble with alcohol or drugs,
- 21:59get into this program, get, get rehab and hopefully get yourself
- 22:03back on the right track. And he basically went through
- 22:07the assistance and and came back and played and he was one of the
- 22:11best players on the team. He's the 4th leading scorer in
- 22:14the postseason for the AVS and he actually leads the team with
- 22:1799 goals in the post season. I don't think anyone else has
- 22:21even like four or five. So he came back Great story,
- 22:25feels like he beat his demons and now he's one of the best
- 22:28players on the team. Well, guess what?
- 22:30He relapsed. There's something happened.
- 22:32I don't know the exact details, but there are rumors of a hotel
- 22:35incident with. I don't know what it was, drugs
- 22:39or other things. I I don't know.
- 22:40I don't want to speculate, but basically, and the Shushiken
- 22:44just got suspended for six months.
- 22:46So basically he really tripped up and he is now out for the
- 22:52rest of the year and he's going to miss, you know, the beginning
- 22:54of next year as well. Now I'm looking at this one of
- 22:57two ways. One is that you're missing one
- 22:58of your best players. So if Colorado's missing one of
- 23:00their best players, that's obviously a detriment to them.
- 23:03But also in situations like this, you can either rally
- 23:06around like a fallen soldier kind of thing, or you look at it
- 23:10the other way and just the bad vibes start to build.
- 23:13So I'll give you an example. The Bruins.
- 23:14Brad Martian got hit by Sam Bennett.
- 23:17Should have been a penalty. Sucker punched him.
- 23:19They Martian probably got a concussion.
- 23:22He's missed the last two games. Bruins have rallied a bit
- 23:25without him in this situation here.
- 23:27I was reading about all these quotes from these players and it
- 23:29sounds like the players are pissed off at Neshushkin.
- 23:32They're saying like, no comment. They're saying he made his
- 23:35decisions. He's got to live with his
- 23:36decisions. I didn't get the vibe of like,
- 23:39hey, let's win it for Neshushkin.
- 23:40Let's, you know let's play well for our our poor friend who had
- 23:44a bad situation instead it's like no, you let us down.
- 23:48You let the team down. We're pissed off at you.
- 23:51So that's kind of the vibe that I got.
- 23:52Maybe I'm making more of this than I should but if you're
- 23:55giving me the better goalie A-Team that's playing great
- 23:58right now at home against a team that has a bad goalie and now
- 24:02has bad vibes with their basically their best post season
- 24:05player now gone for six months. I'm I'm going to take a shot
- 24:08with Dallas tonight guys. Hopefully they finish off this
- 24:11series. I'm going Dallas Stars at -135.
- 24:15It's not about does it for episode 44 of the all systems go
- 24:18sports betting podcast. Now reminder if you enjoy the
- 24:22all Systems Go pod. Obviously you didn't enjoy the
- 24:24results of last night's plays but do you see value in these
- 24:28breakdowns in the way that I breakdown games approach games.
- 24:33Have you learned a thing or two in terms of data-driven betting
- 24:35to help you hopefully cash some bets to become a sharper better?
- 24:38Are you looking at line movement system, matches, bet splits, you
- 24:42know bet Tris first bet to win, bankroll management not
- 24:44parlaying? If any of that is the case and
- 24:46this pod has helped you to become a sharper better or you
- 24:49value the pod, which I hope you do because you know, win win or
- 24:52lose or draw, it's always about trying to get sharper each day
- 24:56and that's really my goal with the all Systems go pod.
- 24:58But if that's the case or if you just want to make my day, then
- 25:01can you please help me grow and promote this podcast?
- 25:04All you got to do is give this pod a five star review.
- 25:07Give it five stars on Spotify or iTunes.
- 25:09That would really go a long way to help us to continue to rise
- 25:12up the charts. Secondly, if you want to learn
- 25:15more about data-driven sports betting, then I would recommend
- 25:18buying my book. It's called the Everything Guide
- 25:20to Sports Betting. You can just go to Amazon.com,
- 25:22type in the Everything Guide to sports betting, pick up a copy
- 25:25for you or for a friend. I think it's 1617 bucks,
- 25:28something like that. If you are a Amazon Prime,
- 25:31you'll get free delivery. Bezos will drop it at your front
- 25:34porch with a drone, but it's got everything I've learned in the
- 25:37industry. How lines are set, how and why
- 25:38they move, how to read line movement, how to locate sharp
- 25:41action, how to place a bet in person or online, how to shop
- 25:43for the best line, how to set up a bankroll management plan.
- 25:46All included in my book The Everything Guide to Sports
- 25:49Betting. So pick up a copy, it would
- 25:50really mean the world to me. Guys.
- 25:52Lastly, have you been taking advantage of Rhythm and Juice
- 25:56Reel? I hope you have.
- 25:58If not, I'd like you to sign up for a Juice Reel in Rhythm 7 day
- 26:02free trial Now. Rhythm is fantastic because they
- 26:04have great projections based on their AI back picks for both
- 26:09props and game bets. They just added not only golf,
- 26:12but as well WNBA pretty soon will have all the major sports,
- 26:16so if you haven't done it yet, I highly recommend signing up and
- 26:19testing out rhythm. It's going to make you view
- 26:20player props in particular quite a bit differently and it's
- 26:24basically your own wise guy who sets numbers.
- 26:26Then you can act like a pro better, which we all strive to
- 26:29be and then play the the differences which are really
- 26:32really important. Remember the other one we cashed
- 26:34the other day that they projected a 220?
- 26:36The total was 218. 1/2 we went over, we cashed think that was
- 26:39the Pacers game. So also Juice Reel another
- 26:42sports betting app which is great.

- 27:06across the market, so make sure you download Juice Reel as well.
- 27:10There's a a specific way I want you to download or sign up for

- 27:27hopefully we can continue to post some winners there with the

- 27:34episode 44 of the All Systems Go Sports Betting podcast.
- 27:37Reminder whether I see you at the Borgata in Atlantic City,
- 27:41Twin River in Rhode Island, the Brooklyn, New Hampshire Foxwoods
- 27:43or Mohegan Sun down in Connecticut at the Encore in
- 27:46Boston or Plain Ridge Park Casino or MGM Springfield in my
- 27:49neck of the woods in Boston. We're out in the desert where
- 27:51the true grinders get down, where Billy Walters sends his
- 27:53number runners, where the lowest juice possible is found at the
- 27:56South point. Or sweating, sharp contrarian
- 27:58plays, Jumping in the pool at the stadium, swim at Circa,
- 28:01wherever it may be. You're going to walk up to me,
- 28:04show me a Dodgers ticket. We'll celebrate that.
- 28:06But the rest just absolutely burn them.
- 28:09Rip them up, recycle them. It was just a brutal night last
- 28:12night. Sometimes that happens.
- 28:13I tell you what, guys. When I was younger and I went
- 28:15one and six, I couldn't sleep at night.
- 28:17I couldn't sleep well last night either.
- 28:19But hey, it's a tough market. We're going to bounce back.
- 28:22There's nothing you can do about it.
- 28:23Let's see if we can have a winning night tonight.
- 28:25So my parting words as always, stay sharp, stay contrarian, bet
- 28:28against the public, place yourself on the side of the
- 28:30house. Always be with the smart money,
- 28:32never against it. Will smart money win every time?
- 28:35Of course not. Beat the closing line in a
- 28:36couple games last night. They lost.
- 28:38But here's the thing that may happen here and there, but if
- 28:40you consistently stay true to the model, against the public,
- 28:44with the house, with the pros, flat bet and get that CLV long
- 28:48term, you're going to be successful Better.
- 28:49And that's what we will be successful betters.
- 28:51So enjoy the sweats tonight guys.
- 28:53Let's see if we can cash some tickets.
- 28:54We got a 5 pack so you can get three or more and eke out a
- 28:58winning night. That's always the goal, but have
- 29:00a great night everyone. Good luck.
- 29:02Enjoy the sweats. We'll be back at it tomorrow for
- 29:03episode 45 on a big thirsty Thursday of the All Systems Go
- 29:07Sports Betting podcast powered by rhythm.
- 29:10Good luck.
