- 0:02Speaker 1: On scoring leaves Austrodia. This is the Wader Panalty Show.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Good evening and welcome to the Reader Panety Show.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Coming up tonight the coalition's primary vote in Free four.
- 0:15Speaker 2: The panel off of their thoughts on happy to does.
- 0:18Speaker 3: And can refocus the Liberals' election campaign. The Greens intensify
- 0:23Speaker 3: their war on property investors with demands that landlords provide
- 0:27Speaker 3: solar panels. Professor and Primer will be here to discuss
- 0:30Speaker 3: that and plenty more.
- 0:32Speaker 2: They always droll.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Alex Stein will have the latest from the US, and
- 0:36Speaker 3: later in the hour kinzisco Field with all the Orlands
- 0:39Speaker 3: celebrity news that matters and left he is losing. It
- 0:42Speaker 3: features plenty of CNN tomfoolery as well as Whoope's latest tanty.
- 0:48Speaker 4: Like we don't like how this is being done. That's
- 0:51Speaker 4: why you will hear us fetching about this as long
- 0:54Speaker 4: as we are able.
- 0:56Speaker 3: But first, a hung parliament is now even more likely
- 0:59Speaker 3: after the coalition's primary vote took another hit in the
- 1:03Speaker 3: latest News poll. The coalition's primary vote was sitting at
- 1:07Speaker 3: forty percent back in November, but now it is down
- 1:10Speaker 3: to thirty five percent. That's even lower than what they
- 1:14Speaker 3: achieved at the last election. Meanwhile, Labour's primary vote remains
- 1:19Speaker 3: at thirty three percent, with the Greens sitting at twelve percent.
- 1:22Speaker 3: That gives Labor the advantage in the two party per
- 1:25Speaker 3: therd vote fifty two to forty eight percent. If the
- 1:28Speaker 3: polls are accurate, a hung parliament is looking more and
- 1:32Speaker 3: more likely. This is the peril of the preferential system.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Two thirds of voters don't want a minority government, but
- 1:39Speaker 3: that's what we may end up with.
- 1:41Speaker 2: And wouldn't that be a disaster for the country.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Australia cannot afford to have a Labor Green coalition in power.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Let's bring in the panel Sky News contributors Per McSween
- 1:52Speaker 3: and Tina McQueen.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Tina, I'll start with you.
- 1:55Speaker 3: The fall in the coalition's primary vote also coincides with
- 1:59Speaker 3: a lift in Pauline Hanson's One Nation vote. They're looking
- 2:03Speaker 3: at a primary at the moment of eight percent that's
- 2:06Speaker 3: three points higher than what they achieved in the twenty
- 2:09Speaker 3: twenty two election. Why is the Liberal vote fracturing on
- 2:13Speaker 3: the right?
- 2:15Speaker 5: Look?
- 2:15Speaker 6: I think all credit to Pauline Hanson. She puts simple,
- 2:21Speaker 6: simple policies that people understand. She simplifies her message. I
- 2:26Speaker 6: think Liberals would have been trying to do much in
- 2:29Speaker 6: a condensed period and it's become very conflicted.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Nobody's understanding it.
- 2:34Speaker 6: I mean, Labor's got the exact same problem. Everything seems
- 2:37Speaker 6: so complex. People want a simple message that will improve
- 2:41Speaker 6: their lives, that will prove every aspect of their life,
- 2:43Speaker 6: and both the Liberals and the Labor are not doing
- 2:46Speaker 6: it at the moment. I mean Dutton, I haven't given
- 2:48Speaker 6: up on him. We've got a short time period left.
- 2:50Speaker 6: But the electorate, every electorate around Australia is screaming out.
- 2:54Speaker 2: For a bold, brave leader. You know.
- 2:57Speaker 6: To stop the political talk, stop telling people what they
- 3:00Speaker 6: think they want to hear. Simply tell the truth.
- 3:03Speaker 2: And if you've been a.
- 3:04Speaker 6: Supporter of Trump in the past, which you all have been,
- 3:06Speaker 6: they want to see reliable, constant behavior. Don't ditch President
- 3:10Speaker 6: Trump or ditch other policies that you thought would work.
- 3:14Speaker 6: And this is the problem. Keep the policy simple, direct,
- 3:17Speaker 6: easy to understand, be honest, be authentic, and we could still.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Have a chance in this race.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Yes, we want authenticity, we want big, bold policies and consistency.
- 3:31Speaker 3: I couldn't believe that we had a medium meltdown and
- 3:34Speaker 3: frankly fairly weak response from the Coalition because just center
- 3:40Speaker 3: Price said that she wants to see Australia be great again,
- 3:43Speaker 3: and she wants to see Australia be in a better
- 3:47Speaker 3: position than it has been. But just the words make
- 3:49Speaker 3: Australia great again send the media and Labor and the
- 3:54Speaker 3: Coalition into this meltdown.
- 3:58Speaker 2: It's astounding. Reader.
- 4:00Speaker 7: So this is shows you how bizarre this campaign has been,
- 4:04Speaker 7: where we've got almost.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Dumb and dumber going buying for election.
- 4:09Speaker 7: You know, as a conservative voter, which i am, I
- 4:13Speaker 7: am dismayed at what's been going on. We have on
- 4:17Speaker 7: the one side a bunch of spin doctoring, swindling, snake
- 4:22Speaker 7: oil salesman in Labor promising the world ignoring the fact
- 4:27Speaker 7: that they have almost destroyed this country and sent the
- 4:30Speaker 7: average person into despair. And then you have on the
- 4:35Speaker 7: other hand, we're all crying out for leadership, for a solution,
- 4:39Speaker 7: for people who aren't just going to offer me to
- 4:42Speaker 7: solutions we don't want me to me didn't work. We
- 4:46Speaker 7: need to have new policies, We need to have people
- 4:51Speaker 7: who are not afraid to say yes, we want Australia
- 4:54Speaker 7: to be great again.
- 4:55Speaker 2: We don't care.
- 4:57Speaker 7: We look at what Trump's doing with cutting spending, that's
- 5:00Speaker 7: a good thing. We want to promote manufacturing here. You know,
- 5:04Speaker 7: all these things that Trump is doing that they're demonizing,
- 5:08Speaker 7: and liberals are too scared to admit that that's not
- 5:11Speaker 7: a bad thing. You know, it's really terrifying what's going
- 5:14Speaker 7: on in this country. And God help us all if
- 5:17Speaker 7: it's either labor getting back to do more damage or
- 5:20Speaker 7: if we have this Greens you know, monopoly over a
- 5:24Speaker 7: labor I mean, it's a terrifying prospect for.
- 5:27Speaker 2: All of us.
- 5:28Speaker 6: Reader, people have short memories. I think we all everyone
- 5:31Speaker 6: needs to be reminded the massive wind Trump had, you
- 5:34Speaker 6: know so, and we were hoping to do that in Australia.
- 5:37Speaker 6: They seem to think he limped over the line or
- 5:39Speaker 6: got him by luck luck. Trump had a massive win
- 5:42Speaker 6: and they shouldn't forget that.
- 5:45Speaker 3: And the Democrats approval rating is sitting at twenty seven
- 5:49Speaker 3: percent of the moment something else they seem to be forgetting.
- 5:52Speaker 3: That's what it's sitting at right now. And we didn't
- 5:57Speaker 3: see this sort of defeatist attitude from the right wing
- 6:01Speaker 3: in Australia, from the coalition during the Voice referendum. They
- 6:05Speaker 3: had the media against them there too, but they were
- 6:08Speaker 3: absolutely bold in in stating their position and arguing their position,
- 6:13Speaker 3: and they won against all odds. And that seems to
- 6:16Speaker 3: have been forgotten. Now let's go to Labour's campaign launch yesterday.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Seemed a bit bit of tension between longtime rivals Anthony
- 6:24Speaker 3: Albernize and Tannia Plibersek.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Have a look at this little awkward moment between the pair.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Look like Albo was leaning in for a proper kiss
- 6:42Speaker 3: on the cheek, but plibersex said no, no, no, We'll.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Just do an air kiss.
- 6:46Speaker 3: That's as much as you're getting pro Are we being
- 6:50Speaker 3: harsh over analyzing that?
- 6:52Speaker 2: It did certainly look awkward.
- 6:55Speaker 7: Well, he was worried it was the kiss of death
- 6:57Speaker 7: for him, that he was going to smooths the woman
- 7:02Speaker 7: who's very much on the nose, particularly in Wa where
- 7:06Speaker 7: her nature positive, the anti mining, the anti salmon industry,
- 7:10Speaker 7: the anti timber industry woman who he's let run right
- 7:15Speaker 7: because she's trying to save her backside in her inner
- 7:18Speaker 7: West seat. She claims that it was because of hygiene purposes.
- 7:23Speaker 7: She was quite happy tooth smooth and kiss Jodi, but
- 7:27Speaker 7: you know.
- 7:28Speaker 2: He was you know, don't come near me, sister.
- 7:32Speaker 7: So I mean it's just a joke. The animosity between
- 7:35Speaker 7: those two is so clear.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Of course that excuse, come on, give me a break now.
- 7:42Speaker 3: Tady Pulipsex seemed to be in a much happier mood
- 7:45Speaker 3: watching this performance featuring a drag queen. I think a
- 7:49Speaker 3: number of drag queens. She's felt right at home there.
- 7:53Speaker 3: This clip was posted to her own Facebook page, Tina,
- 7:57Speaker 3: interesting material to be promoting right now, a little.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Bit of warped priorities there.
- 8:03Speaker 6: Well, she's promoting, you know, these acts that are very
- 8:07Speaker 6: popular in her electorate, so she's you know, suiting the
- 8:10Speaker 6: mood of her electorate. But as the tensure between her
- 8:14Speaker 6: and Albanisi, I don't think she's ever forgiven him. I mean,
- 8:17Speaker 6: she did not want the portfoilio. She has Tenya plibiscus.
- 8:20Speaker 6: Always wanted education, and she's so filthy with him for
- 8:24Speaker 6: not getting that. And of course today during interviewed, Albanesi
- 8:28Speaker 6: would not he didn't confirm or deny what she'd be
- 8:31Speaker 6: doing next year, so he didn't say that, you know,
- 8:33Speaker 6: if they remained in government, she'd even be a minister,
- 8:36Speaker 6: so clearly there's big tensions between those two. It doesn't
- 8:40Speaker 6: seem to be hurting the campaign though, because, as Prue said,
- 8:44Speaker 6: tenua Is has not been popular in any electric with
- 8:47Speaker 6: her policies where there's mining and resources.
- 8:52Speaker 8: Now.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Meanwhile, the Coalitions campaign launch pited it announced a plan
- 8:56Speaker 3: to make mortgage or payments tax deductive.
- 9:00Speaker 2: For first home buyers.
- 9:01Speaker 3: A tax break scheme will be means tested fairly generous,
- 9:04Speaker 3: up to one hundred and seventy five thousand for singles,
- 9:07Speaker 3: two hundred and fifty thousand for couples, and will be
- 9:10Speaker 3: limited to the first five years and the first six
- 9:13Speaker 3: hundred and fifty thousand dollars of a mortgage Tina. The
- 9:16Speaker 3: Coalition says that families on average incomes could have up
- 9:21Speaker 3: to eleven thousand dollars a year put back in their pockets.
- 9:25Speaker 3: I mean that is significant money. How do you think
- 9:30Speaker 3: this policy is going to go? It is fairly targeted,
- 9:33Speaker 3: though that it is only first home buyers who are
- 9:36Speaker 3: ready to buy who are going to be beneficiary is.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Of this look.
- 9:40Speaker 6: I think it's a good target policy. I'm just a
- 9:42Speaker 6: little confused why they left it so late. I mean,
- 9:45Speaker 6: we've got easter coming up. These policies should have been
- 9:48Speaker 6: announced much earlier, so I'm a bit annoyed that some
- 9:51Speaker 6: of our good material even today. Mister Dutton said, you
- 9:54Speaker 6: know you'll hear more policies. Well, there's no time for that.
- 9:58Speaker 6: You've got to keep them up, simp and give it
- 10:00Speaker 6: to them now. We're running out of time.
- 10:05Speaker 3: That's a very good point proved because so many people
- 10:08Speaker 3: do vote early. It's just become a habit now. It's
- 10:11Speaker 3: not just people who are going to be away on
- 10:13Speaker 3: election day. People are voting early that I want to
- 10:15Speaker 3: be lighting up on election day and you can't afford
- 10:18Speaker 3: to leave these policies, particularly ones that are a little
- 10:21Speaker 3: bit complex like this one too late. People need to
- 10:24Speaker 3: understand them and pre Also, this is becoming a very
- 10:28Speaker 3: big spending election. We've got inflationary concerns, we've got record debt.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Can we afford the amounts that are being promised?
- 10:38Speaker 2: Absolutely not.
- 10:39Speaker 7: You know, it's like a really bad game of monopoly
- 10:41Speaker 7: where you know, oh, buy your houses and you can
- 10:44Speaker 7: buy my hotels or whatever.
- 10:46Speaker 2: You know, they just.
- 10:47Speaker 7: They're out spending, outbidding each other, and it's bizarre. It's
- 10:51Speaker 7: the race to the bottom, you know, looking at these
- 10:54Speaker 7: housing solutions. You know, liberals at least are saying, well,
- 10:58Speaker 7: we're addressing the supply side, but are they really you know,
- 11:02Speaker 7: in the end, we have major problems. Blind Freddie can
- 11:05Speaker 7: tell you the reason we have housing problems. It's because
- 11:08Speaker 7: we have too much red and green tape. We have
- 11:11Speaker 7: inept planning in this country. And we've got a big Australia,
- 11:14Speaker 7: millions of people pouring in here and we can't supply
- 11:18Speaker 7: the houses for them.
- 11:19Speaker 2: You know, we have this ridiculous.
- 11:21Speaker 7: Situation where the Libs have left their policies too late.
- 11:25Speaker 7: Apparently they're going to eventually announce their defense planning well
- 11:29Speaker 7: too late.
- 11:30Speaker 2: You know.
- 11:31Speaker 7: I was with someone the other day and they said
- 11:33Speaker 7: that when they asked when's the election, they weren't engaged
- 11:37Speaker 7: like we all are.
- 11:38Speaker 2: And the fact that they're all going on holidays.
- 11:40Speaker 7: Now, they're not interested in what's going on. So they'll
- 11:43Speaker 7: just you know, take a little grabs from somewhere or
- 11:46Speaker 7: listen to their mate and say I'm voting for X
- 11:48Speaker 7: or y, and that's what they'll do.
- 11:50Speaker 2: There'll be no thinking about it.
- 11:51Speaker 8: Reader.
- 11:52Speaker 6: There's another problem. There aren't the trades people to supply
- 11:55Speaker 6: these houses. I have a brother of the jip rock business.
- 11:57Speaker 6: He's booked over two years in advance. People can't get
- 12:00Speaker 6: jip rockers, can't get plasters, can't get brick players. So
- 12:04Speaker 6: how are you going to build these damn houses when
- 12:07Speaker 6: we haven't got the workers to do that.
- 12:11Speaker 2: That's a very good point.
- 12:12Speaker 3: And the cost of everything has skyrocketed, the cost of
- 12:16Speaker 3: getting the trade's there.
- 12:17Speaker 2: And the materials.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Now, let's check in with how the election campaign is
- 12:22Speaker 3: playing out on social media. Let's start with this clip
- 12:25Speaker 3: from WA Labor. Remember when albo Will scolded Tanya plipper
- 12:30Speaker 3: sec you had to go at her for saying that
- 12:32Speaker 3: Peter Dutton looks like Voldemort. Well, apparently attacking people's appearance
- 12:37Speaker 3: is back in fashion of the Labor Party.
- 12:49Speaker 9: Authorized by Strain Labor Party.
- 12:51Speaker 1: West Perth.
- 12:52Speaker 3: That's an official ad. That's not something some YouTuber has
- 12:55Speaker 3: put together. That's a proper ad from WA Labor. And
- 13:00Speaker 3: here's another one about housing.
- 13:06Speaker 10: The story you are about to see has been told
- 13:08Speaker 10: before a lot and now we are going to tell
- 13:12Speaker 10: it again, but.
- 13:14Speaker 11: Different authorized by Strain Labor Party, West Perth.
- 13:17Speaker 3: You know, just because ads are on social media, they
- 13:19Speaker 3: don't need to be this infantile. It really is surprising
- 13:22Speaker 3: the tone they're all going for. Now, let's go to
- 13:24Speaker 3: this Federal Labor Instagram page. They've been busy creating parodies
- 13:29Speaker 3: of real housewives to promote the party.
- 13:34Speaker 7: Friends and I don't just watch out the fakes.
- 13:38Speaker 12: You've got a choice between quability, a living in camber
- 13:41Speaker 12: and launch.
- 13:42Speaker 1: I think it takes the tone every day.
- 13:43Speaker 2: My scouts may be short, but I'm not short.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Of an opinion. Authorized p ericson alp canbra.
- 13:53Speaker 3: Okay, let's turn our attention and out of the Greens.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Here's what they've been up to.
- 14:00Speaker 1: A seven million dollarble rider j moly.
- 14:15Speaker 13: Authorized by Jam McCall, Australian Greens camera.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Oh dear, these things are getting worse here, hands and
- 14:22Speaker 3: Young again. I've got one more before I bring you
- 14:26Speaker 3: in to day answer. One more from Senator Hanson Young
- 14:29Speaker 3: where she exclaiming now that the birds in the trees
- 14:33Speaker 3: are telling you to vote green.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Native animals are saying vote green, vote green. You can
- 14:39Speaker 2: hear them. O great.
- 14:48Speaker 13: Authorized by Jam McColl, Australian Greens camera.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Oh dearn me Now, just one more again from the Greens.
- 14:55Speaker 3: This time it's a Green Senator Jordan Steel johnn ADHD.
- 15:01Speaker 11: But my mom does have ADHD, and my brother does
- 15:03Speaker 11: have ADHD, and most my friends do have ADHD, and
- 15:07Speaker 11: so does.
- 15:08Speaker 1: That I do have ADHD.
- 15:10Speaker 13: Authorized by j McColl, Australian Green's camera Tina.
- 15:14Speaker 3: I'm lost for words read now.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Wonder people are tuned out?
- 15:19Speaker 3: If this is what they're being big shown, if this
- 15:22Speaker 3: is the best we can do.
- 15:24Speaker 6: I don't know about voting Green, but I'll tell you what.
- 15:26Speaker 6: You have to be smoking the Green to understand those ads.
- 15:30Speaker 6: It's just ridiculous, you know, Honest to goodness, I can't
- 15:34Speaker 6: believe they've got they've got, you know, I think it's
- 15:36Speaker 6: nine to ten percent of the vote.
- 15:37Speaker 2: People wake up, do not vote for these clowns.
- 15:40Speaker 6: I mean, it will be bad enough with a labor
- 15:43Speaker 6: government returned, it'd be a hundred times worth with the
- 15:46Speaker 6: minority government with these goons. I beg of you please
- 15:50Speaker 6: ignore these idiots.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Through.
- 15:54Speaker 3: The latest News poll released today says they're sitting on
- 15:57Speaker 3: twelve percent, which is frightening.
- 16:00Speaker 2: You are the pr Maven, you are the guru. What
- 16:04Speaker 2: do you think are.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Those ads what you would expect to.
- 16:08Speaker 2: See on social media.
- 16:10Speaker 7: Well, I suppose if your objective is to target people
- 16:14Speaker 7: who've got an IQ of ten, they're perfect and I
- 16:18Speaker 7: think you'd have to have an IQ of ten to
- 16:20Speaker 7: vote for the Greens.
- 16:21Speaker 2: So you know, in a way they hit their marks,
- 16:23Speaker 2: you know, really.
- 16:24Speaker 7: But honestly it's insulting. It just shows you it's scraping
- 16:29Speaker 7: the bottom of the barrel stuff.
- 16:31Speaker 8: You know.
- 16:31Speaker 7: I don't see any of the campaigns from any of
- 16:33Speaker 7: the parties really hitting the mark. Liberals have done a
- 16:38Speaker 7: shocking job. They've got a new wrapper campaign out just
- 16:43Speaker 7: today that at least I think may resonate with some
- 16:46Speaker 7: young people, but it's all too little, too late. The
- 16:49Speaker 7: standard of advertising in this campaign has been quite pathetic
- 16:53Speaker 7: from all parties and quite insulting.
- 16:57Speaker 3: Prumiccswede ten and McQueen thanks for your time to right
- 17:01Speaker 3: Joining me now is a steam geologist and author, Professor
- 17:05Speaker 3: Ian Plymar, Professor. The Greens have intensified their war on
- 17:09Speaker 3: mom and dad property investors. They're not only demanding rent freezers,
- 17:13Speaker 3: the removal of negative gearing and capital gains concessions. Now
- 17:17Speaker 3: the Greens want to give renters the right to force
- 17:20Speaker 3: landlords to install solar panels. At the property in Who
- 17:25Speaker 3: would bother investing in property with these.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Sorts of conditions. What do you think about this latest demand, Well.
- 17:32Speaker 8: There's a typical green and the danger is that they
- 17:36Speaker 8: will be in a coalition with labor and they're anti mining,
- 17:39Speaker 8: They're anti fishing, anti farming, anti cheap energy, anti Australia,
- 17:43Speaker 8: anti Israel, anti US. Now a lot of families have
- 17:47Speaker 8: another house which they use to gain rent from and
- 17:51Speaker 8: that is their superannuation. And what they're doing is trying
- 17:55Speaker 8: to take away people's futures by these bizarre policies that
- 18:00Speaker 8: really come out of the Soviet Union, where capitalists need
- 18:03Speaker 8: to be punished. Those who worked hard, shame hard, taking rest,
- 18:07Speaker 8: We must punish them. We must make sure that landlords
- 18:11Speaker 8: can't put up rent. So the problem is that many
- 18:16Speaker 8: landlords just won't rent properties any longer. There are so
- 18:20Speaker 8: many vacant properties around because you're not going to put
- 18:22Speaker 8: up with this nonsense.
- 18:26Speaker 3: We're already seeing that in Victoria with land tax rates soaring,
- 18:29Speaker 3: a whole bunch of new conditions that are really stripping
- 18:33Speaker 3: landlords of their rights, and the pool of rental properties
- 18:38Speaker 3: is diminishing, which means rents go up it's not great
- 18:41Speaker 3: for renters and it certainly isn't good for your mum
- 18:43Speaker 3: and dad investors. Now let's hear from our favorite Albaneza
- 18:47Speaker 3: government minister, Chris Bowen. Here he is on the ABC
- 18:51Speaker 3: seven thirty report explaining why your power prices are going
- 18:55Speaker 3: up when he had promised they would go down.
- 18:58Speaker 11: That modeling showed that renewable then is the cheapest form
- 19:01Speaker 11: of energy and if you get more in you will
- 19:04Speaker 11: see down a pressure on prices. But of course since
- 19:06Speaker 11: then we've seen the impact of the previous government's hidden
- 19:11Speaker 11: price rises. Today, Sarah is actually the third anniversary of
- 19:15Speaker 11: Angus Taylor changing the law.
- 19:17Speaker 2: We've heard this one before and.
- 19:19Speaker 3: There you go, it's the previous government's fault. And what
- 19:23Speaker 3: sort of a response is that for the responsible minister?
- 19:26Speaker 8: If the Libs lose, it will sell me the previous
- 19:29Speaker 8: government's fault. It'll go on forever. And why doesn't he
- 19:32Speaker 8: just man up and say, look, we have these models.
- 19:36Speaker 8: These are dodgy models based on various assumptions and variables.
- 19:40Speaker 1: If you change them, it doesn't work.
- 19:42Speaker 8: As minister, I'm saying, sorry, we got this wrong and
- 19:46Speaker 8: we are going to try our hardest to give you
- 19:49Speaker 8: back your cheap, reliable electricity that you had ten or
- 19:52Speaker 8: twenty years ago. Why doesn't he man up and say
- 19:55Speaker 8: I was wrong. It's not very hard to do, so
- 20:00Speaker 8: we got him blustering around. He's in a very comfortable
- 20:04Speaker 8: environment in the ABC. He should be able to do
- 20:06Speaker 8: it there, but no, he just waffles. And this is
- 20:10Speaker 8: the man that's sending us broke. His policies are costing
- 20:14Speaker 8: a billion, and he pays you the text per you,
- 20:18Speaker 8: the electricity consumer.
- 20:22Speaker 3: I do wonder whether we'll look back in twenty years
- 20:25Speaker 3: time and look at Chris Bowen as the most expensive,
- 20:30Speaker 3: most destructive minister we have had in the federal government. Now,
- 20:34Speaker 3: the ABC is released some data. They've revealed that around
- 20:38Speaker 3: forty percent of ABC vote compass respondents say that they
- 20:43Speaker 3: strongly disagree or somewhat disagree with building nuclear power plants,
- 20:48Speaker 3: while thirty eight percent were somewhat or strongly supportive. Most
- 20:53Speaker 3: of the disagreement, interestingly, in came from women. They're far
- 20:58Speaker 3: more likely to strongly disagree with the idea of nuclear
- 21:02Speaker 3: more than forty one percent of them, and only eight sorry,
- 21:07Speaker 3: only eleven point.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Eight percent strongly agreed.
- 21:11Speaker 3: So there is a bit of a gender divide when
- 21:13Speaker 3: it comes to support for nuclear power.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Why do you think that is.
- 21:18Speaker 3: The en Is it just because women are increasingly leaning left?
- 21:22Speaker 1: Well, I think it's a number of rareas.
- 21:23Speaker 8: And firstly, if it was a survey down the ABC
- 21:27Speaker 8: viewers and listeners, then I'm not surprised with the result.
- 21:30Speaker 1: The second thing is that we have scores.
- 21:34Speaker 8: Of countries with nuclear or a building nuclear and they
- 21:39Speaker 8: don't seem to have too many problems. We've got tiny
- 21:41Speaker 8: countries like Slovenia two million people and they've got nuclear.
- 21:46Speaker 1: What's wrong with us?
- 21:47Speaker 8: Well, the reason is we've had so much cheap, abundant
- 21:51Speaker 8: coal that we've been able to have coal fired electricity
- 21:54Speaker 8: that was cheap for a long period of time, we
- 21:56Speaker 8: didn't need nuclear.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Now we've destroyed our coal system, the.
- 22:00Speaker 8: So called ruin the books, then the core for nuclear
- 22:04Speaker 8: becomes very strong. And I think the bias of more
- 22:09Speaker 8: women objecting than men is partly due to the political
- 22:13Speaker 8: engagement of women, partly due to the fact that women
- 22:18Speaker 8: use their emotions more than men and are concerned about
- 22:21Speaker 8: the future and their children, and partly because there is
- 22:25Speaker 8: a lot of scientific information out there and the proportion
- 22:28Speaker 8: of women who have knowledge of science is far lower
- 22:30Speaker 8: than that of men. And in society it's very very
- 22:33Speaker 8: few people who understand the science. But maybe they should
- 22:35Speaker 8: just look around the world. We have thirty two countries
- 22:38Speaker 8: generating power from uranium. Finland recently put in a nuclear
- 22:44Speaker 8: power station. People loved it, and they especially loved it
- 22:47Speaker 8: because the electricity prices went down. So what we're being
- 22:51Speaker 8: told in the propaganda, what is reality at two different things.
- 22:56Speaker 8: Nuclear is wonderful and what it means is if we
- 22:58Speaker 8: have nuclear, have an excess apower and that's what you
- 23:02Speaker 8: need for a growing economy. Now, currently our economy is
- 23:05Speaker 8: going backwards. Maybe we should think about growing it.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Now before you go.
- 23:12Speaker 3: We saw Donald Trump sign a bunch of executive orders
- 23:16Speaker 3: last week to cut red tape and tobocharge mining projects.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Tell me what this means for us, because the US
- 23:25Speaker 3: seems to be hyper focused on being energy independent.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Becoming even an energy superpower.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Well, there's very good reasons for doing that. The US
- 23:36Speaker 1: has a lot of coal.
- 23:37Speaker 8: Many of the people who voted for Donald Trump were
- 23:40Speaker 8: in states like Pennsylvania, which are coal mining states.
- 23:43Speaker 1: And he is delivering a promise.
- 23:46Speaker 8: And he is one of the few people in politics
- 23:48Speaker 8: who has ever delivered a promise. I don't call him
- 23:51Speaker 8: a politician. He's treating the world's biggest economy as a business,
- 23:55Speaker 8: which it should be. So that has profound implications from
- 23:59Speaker 8: US for ours because it shows that we can use coal.
- 24:03Speaker 1: The coal is very cheap, coal is reliable.
- 24:06Speaker 8: If you're concerned about emissions, then there are these high energy,
- 24:11Speaker 8: low emission reactors that are being built in Japan and
- 24:14Speaker 8: Corey or elsewhere that we can use our coal. Now,
- 24:17Speaker 8: our coal is far better than that from the US.
- 24:20Speaker 8: It's got more bang for its buck, it's got less
- 24:23Speaker 8: ask and less sulfur. We should be following the US
- 24:27Speaker 8: as quick as we can, otherwise we are going to
- 24:29Speaker 8: decline even more. As an economy.
- 24:34Speaker 3: Professor, im plymer thanks for your time tonight, Thank you reader.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Still to come. Left is losing It?
- 24:40Speaker 3: Plus the latest from the US, including Donald Trump at
- 24:44Speaker 3: the UFC.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Alex Stein is up next.
- 24:56Speaker 3: You're watching the Riata Panney Show, and it's time for
- 24:58Speaker 3: lefties lose.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Let's start with some morally.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Repugnant depravity on CNN. Here they interview Taylor Lorenze, far
- 25:08Speaker 3: left hack journalist who's been employed by many of your
- 25:11Speaker 3: favorite lefty outlets, from The Washington Post, The New York
- 25:14Speaker 3: Times to Daily Beast. Listen here as Taylor Wax's lyrical
- 25:19Speaker 3: about cold blooded, murdering scumbag Luigi Mangioni.
- 25:24Speaker 2: She can't understand why anyone would be.
- 25:27Speaker 3: Shocked that sickos like her are standing a murderer.
- 25:32Speaker 14: This is sick, sociopathic, hilarious to see these millionaire media
- 25:37Speaker 14: pundits on TV clutching their pearls about someone standing a
- 25:41Speaker 14: murderer when this is the United States of America.
- 25:44Speaker 15: As if we don't lionize criminals, you're going to see women,
- 25:47Speaker 15: especially that feel like, oh my god, right, Like here's
- 25:49Speaker 15: this man who who's the revolutionary, who's famous, who's handsome,
- 25:55Speaker 15: who's young, who's smart, He's a person that seems it's
- 26:00Speaker 15: like this morally good man, which is hard to find.
- 26:05Speaker 3: She's talking there about a cowardly killer who shot father.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Of two, Brian Thompson in the back of the head.
- 26:12Speaker 3: But because Brian was the CEO of United Healthcare, apparently
- 26:17Speaker 3: that makes his murder okay or even joyful, as Taylor
- 26:21Speaker 3: once claimed.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Now sane journalist on a sane.
- 26:25Speaker 3: Network, My challenge what we just heard, but not CNN,
- 26:29Speaker 3: not this clown from CNN.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Listen here as he likens.
- 26:32Speaker 3: Admiring and murdering low Life to being a Trump supporter,
- 26:36Speaker 3: and even though ites that Taylor would never want to
- 26:39Speaker 3: be called a Trump supporter, that would be beyond the pale.
- 26:43Speaker 16: I'm sure you wouldn't like to be compared to a
- 26:45Speaker 16: Trump supporter. But some of some of how people cannot
- 26:50Speaker 16: understand why people have sympathies for MANGIONI yeah, strikes me
- 26:55Speaker 16: as the same. What as media not understanding why people's
- 27:00Speaker 16: poor Trump?
- 27:00Speaker 15: I totally agree.
- 27:02Speaker 3: I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again.
- 27:04Speaker 3: You don't hate the leftist media enough.
- 27:07Speaker 2: You think you do, but you don't.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Sticking with CNN, they've been part of a media meltdown
- 27:13Speaker 3: over the Trump administration's tariff policy.
- 27:16Speaker 2: And many a Democrat has been on.
- 27:18Speaker 3: With softball interviews with a scare manger about inflation without
- 27:23Speaker 3: any pushback from the host.
- 27:25Speaker 17: Here's Hakeem jeffries, Trump tarifts are going to raise costs
- 27:28Speaker 17: on everyday Americans in an environment where there's already a
- 27:32Speaker 17: high cost of living. Trump promised that he would lower costs.
- 27:36Speaker 17: In fact, on day one. But what we've seen under
- 27:38Speaker 17: his reckless leadership is that costs aren't going down in America,
- 27:42Speaker 17: They're going up. Infleation is going up.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Inflation is going up.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Is the Democrats were even pushing a new term, trump flation.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Here is Jeff Merkley.
- 27:53Speaker 8: So last Wednesday it was not Liberation Day, it was
- 27:57Speaker 8: trump Flation day. The American consumer is going to be
- 28:00Speaker 8: seen much higher prices.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Trumpflation, you say, literally minutes later, this news.
- 28:07Speaker 18: Break breaking moments ago, brand new number of showing inflation
- 28:10Speaker 18: fell last month, much better than expected.
- 28:14Speaker 2: Inflation fell. Well, how about that, folks.
- 28:17Speaker 3: You know, the only reason anyone not stuck at an
- 28:19Speaker 3: airport watch your CNN these days is to see Scott
- 28:22Speaker 3: Jennings Here he is with CNN host Abby Phillips.
- 28:26Speaker 12: Seven million means that they're not just going after criminals.
- 28:29Speaker 18: Well, they're going after people who are in the country illegally, right.
- 28:32Speaker 12: Yeah, No, but I'm saying the criminals this is a
- 28:35Speaker 12: much bigger universe. Doesn't that make you a criminal? No,
- 28:38Speaker 12: it doesn't.
- 28:39Speaker 2: To come across the border illegally.
- 28:40Speaker 12: Coming into the country illegally as a civil offense, it's
- 28:42Speaker 12: not a criminal offense.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Okay, if you come into the country illegally.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Here's the message.
- 28:47Speaker 2: We're going to find you and send you back.
- 28:49Speaker 3: Oh abby, coming across the border illegally is a criminal offense.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Let's have a look at Scott Jennings now effortlessly toying
- 28:57Speaker 3: with Anna Navarro. Talk about it an intellectual mismatch.
- 29:02Speaker 10: Honestly, if I was Kamala Harris behaving this way, they'd
- 29:05Speaker 10: call her hormonal and hysterical.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Right, Look, we'd have to get elected to be but well.
- 29:10Speaker 10: Yes, and if she had been elected, and she Hillary
- 29:13Speaker 10: Clinton had been elected, if any woman had been elected
- 29:15Speaker 10: and been been acting this way, they'd say it was manopause.
- 29:18Speaker 1: You would have never stood up to China.
- 29:20Speaker 11: So this is a mood issue right now.
- 29:22Speaker 3: And let's check in with one of Anna's co hosts
- 29:25Speaker 3: on the View.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Here's Woopy Goldberg.
- 29:28Speaker 3: She seems to think that the Trump administration, you know,
- 29:31Speaker 3: the one that won in a landslide, winning every swing state,
- 29:35Speaker 3: winning the popular vote, winning the electoral College three hundred
- 29:38Speaker 3: and twelve to two hundred.
- 29:39Speaker 2: And twenty six.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Apparently, according to whoopee, they only represent a very narrow
- 29:45Speaker 3: band of people.
- 29:46Speaker 4: Are you countries who watch us?
- 29:49Speaker 2: This is not our Web. No, it's not. This is
- 29:52Speaker 2: not what the American people want.
- 29:54Speaker 1: We don't like it.
- 29:56Speaker 4: We don't like how it's being like. We don't like
- 29:59Speaker 4: how this has been done. That's why you will hear
- 30:01Speaker 4: us stretching about this as long as we are able,
- 30:05Speaker 4: because no one we're talking to understands what's going on.
- 30:09Speaker 4: And therefore, when they say America, they're not.
- 30:12Speaker 2: Talking about us.
- 30:14Speaker 4: They are talking about that very narrow band of America
- 30:18Speaker 4: that they think they represent.
- 30:19Speaker 3: Back to CNN, this is how you handle an interview
- 30:22Speaker 3: with CNN, especially if they start quoting another.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Fake news outlet like the Washington Post.
- 30:28Speaker 3: Let's hear from Senior Director of Accounter Terrorism doctor Sebastian Gorka.
- 30:33Speaker 19: Last month, the Washington Post reported that the freeze on
- 30:36Speaker 19: US Foreign assistant assistance in Africa has quote threatened programs
- 30:41Speaker 19: intended to counter al Shabab bomb makers. Are those cuts
- 30:45Speaker 19: still in place? Are you concerned about them at all?
- 30:49Speaker 20: Is that the same Washington Post that propagated the Russia
- 30:52Speaker 20: Russia collusion hoax for the last eight years. Well, regardless
- 30:56Speaker 20: of the Russia author, regardless, you're quoting the Washington Post
- 30:59Speaker 20: to me, which is as effective as posting for me
- 31:03Speaker 20: or quoting to me any other pillar of the fake
- 31:06Speaker 20: news industrial complex. I really couldn't care less what the
- 31:10Speaker 20: Washington Post or the New York Time says, especially when
- 31:13Speaker 20: it's anonymous government officials. If it's true, put your name
- 31:17Speaker 20: to it.
- 31:17Speaker 1: If it's not, shut up.
- 31:19Speaker 2: There you go.
- 31:20Speaker 3: And here is how Donald Trump handled the media overnight.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Firstly, reminded them.
- 31:25Speaker 3: That his predecessor never did impromptu press conferences.
- 31:29Speaker 1: If you ever requested, I'm always available on Lake Baiden.
- 31:33Speaker 1: I think Biden would do an interview at Doo in
- 31:35Speaker 1: the morning. He would do one at name in the morning.
- 31:39Speaker 3: And he then got his granddaughter Kai involved first introducing
- 31:44Speaker 3: her to the members.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Of the fake news media. I've got to say, he
- 31:48Speaker 2: really is the funniest president we've ever had.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Okay, come on, do you know the fake news? This
- 31:55Speaker 1: is a fake news everyone.
- 31:58Speaker 13: Good morning.
- 32:00Speaker 1: When you're doing a little news conference, you want to
- 32:02Speaker 1: partake a sometime. She's a great athlete, actually, great golfer.
- 32:08Speaker 8: Yeah, as great student actually, So go ahead and David.
- 32:12Speaker 19: Question on Monday, you're having a meeting with the president
- 32:15Speaker 19: of El Salvador.
- 32:16Speaker 3: Now, Donald Trump was at the UFC of the weekend,
- 32:19Speaker 3: and he walked out to a thunderous response from the
- 32:23Speaker 3: Miami crowd, flanked by two of his grandchildren and.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Making the extrans right now.
- 32:31Speaker 6: Through a standing location, the forty seventh President of the
- 32:35Speaker 6: United States South America like that, UFC CEO KAA like
- 32:40Speaker 6: and others?
- 32:40Speaker 16: Donald J.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Trump?
- 32:47Speaker 8: Is there anybody else that has a well kid?
- 32:50Speaker 2: So we're gonna fight it?
- 32:52Speaker 1: He has some music and walk he had one? Did
- 32:57Speaker 1: he always get to walk?
- 32:58Speaker 14: Ouse?
- 33:00Speaker 3: Trump not only got a rock star entrance, but he
- 33:03Speaker 3: had sporting stars flocking to shake his hand, including UFC
- 33:07Speaker 3: champ Dominicue Grays. Moments after his big win, even Shaq
- 33:22Speaker 3: the Great Shaquill O'Neil made his way through the crowd
- 33:25Speaker 3: to greet the President. Let's bring in comedian and host
- 33:29Speaker 3: a prime time with Alex Stearn on Blaze TV.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Alex, can you remember seeing anything like this?
- 33:35Speaker 3: A politician that is reviled by the media but loved
- 33:40Speaker 3: by sporting crowds, whether it's at the football, the Nascars
- 33:44Speaker 3: or the UFC.
- 33:47Speaker 9: Well, I mean, Donald Trump is the ultimate celebrity. And
- 33:49Speaker 9: when you see him walk into that stadium and the
- 33:52Speaker 9: place just goes nuts. You know, It makes you feel
- 33:54Speaker 9: warm inside as an American citizen having a president that
- 33:57Speaker 9: is not only all the way there, you know, mentally,
- 34:01Speaker 9: but he's all the way there when it comes to
- 34:03Speaker 9: the support of the country. And you know what I
- 34:05Speaker 9: love the most about this, Rita, as I saw a
- 34:08Speaker 9: barshool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, who had complained all week
- 34:11Speaker 9: about a stock portfolio going down, hosting a video of
- 34:15Speaker 9: him being a huge fangirl for President Trump. So he
- 34:17Speaker 9: has that effect on people. Somebody can lose seven million
- 34:20Speaker 9: dollars in one week and then when you see him,
- 34:22Speaker 9: your tune changes and all of a sudden you love
- 34:24Speaker 9: the guy again.
- 34:27Speaker 3: Well, there was an awkward moment we just saw it
- 34:30Speaker 3: before where Trump seemed to ignore actress Cheryl Hines, the
- 34:35Speaker 3: wife of RFK Junior. There was a plenty of media
- 34:39Speaker 3: coverage of this moment, but that's not the full story, Alex.
- 34:44Speaker 3: President Trump did go back and he had a chat
- 34:47Speaker 3: with Cheryl. He's not snubbing her as many have claimed.
- 34:53Speaker 9: Well, Rita, it's obvious that Trump did this on purpose
- 34:56Speaker 9: when you look at Cheryl Hines, considering that she was
- 34:59Speaker 9: Larry David co host or choose me a co star
- 35:02Speaker 9: on a show that's all about being awkward. Donald Trump
- 35:05Speaker 9: did this on purpose, This awkward moment when super viral,
- 35:08Speaker 9: and this was not an accident. So you know, be
- 35:11Speaker 9: careful what you want. No, this is the best marketing
- 35:16Speaker 9: tool possible for Donald Trump. That snub, who's a snub
- 35:19Speaker 9: heard around the world.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Really it was great.
- 35:23Speaker 3: No, you were just not looking at her when she
- 35:25Speaker 3: had her hand outstretched.
- 35:27Speaker 2: I'm sure. I'm sure there was a very innocent. He's
- 35:30Speaker 2: got no problem with Cheryl Hines.
- 35:32Speaker 3: She's actually been incredibly brave and standing up to the
- 35:38Speaker 3: Hollywood bullies because they did come for her when RFK
- 35:42Speaker 3: Junior first announced that he was going to be part
- 35:44Speaker 3: of the Trump camp. Now let's talk about more serious stuff.
- 35:49Speaker 3: The president of El Salvador, nave Bickla is in the USA.
- 35:54Speaker 3: Ol Salvador is housing in its megaprisons. A number of
- 35:59Speaker 3: gang bangers in the US illegally. Tell me about the
- 36:02Speaker 3: relationship he has with the Trump administration.
- 36:06Speaker 9: Well, you know, for the president of El Salvador is
- 36:10Speaker 9: similar to Donald Trump, and that he's no nonsense and
- 36:12Speaker 9: he wants to get rid of all the gang bangers
- 36:14Speaker 9: not only in his country but here in America. He
- 36:17Speaker 9: wants to kind of be like a private prison, third
- 36:20Speaker 9: party system where we can put a lot of these
- 36:22Speaker 9: trend down rugas or m S sirteen gang bangers. We
- 36:25Speaker 9: can just send them down to El Salvador and we
- 36:27Speaker 9: can pay them to house him. So, you know, I
- 36:29Speaker 9: love the idea of outsourcing our prison Cell Salvador. So
- 36:33Speaker 9: this meeting, it could spell trouble for the cartels in
- 36:36Speaker 9: the organized crime that is, you know, causing a lot
- 36:39Speaker 9: of problems here in America.
- 36:42Speaker 3: I got to sell you this guy is one of
- 36:44Speaker 3: the most popular leaders anywhere in the world.
- 36:47Speaker 2: He was re.
- 36:47Speaker 3: Elected with such an enormous margin, and he has turned
- 36:51Speaker 3: to Al Salvador from one of the most crime riddled
- 36:55Speaker 3: hellholes anywhere in the world to a safe country, and
- 36:59Speaker 3: he's with such speed. It really is a remarkable feat.
- 37:04Speaker 3: But the media hates him too, so he never gets
- 37:06Speaker 3: any credit for any of that. Also in the White House,
- 37:10Speaker 3: in recent days, Alex has been the governor of Michigan,
- 37:14Speaker 3: Governor Gretchen Witmer. She's got ambitions of being the twenty
- 37:20Speaker 3: twenty eight Democrat presidential candidate. But tell me about this
- 37:25Speaker 3: performance here Alex trying to hide her face during a
- 37:29Speaker 3: meeting with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office.
- 37:33Speaker 2: But it just looks juvenile.
- 37:37Speaker 15: Oh.
- 37:37Speaker 9: Governor Webmer is the biggest embarrassment when it comes in
- 37:41Speaker 9: not just only her stay, but when Michigan was locked down.
- 37:44Speaker 9: Her husband got caught taking her boat down to the
- 37:47Speaker 9: boat dock when everybody else was shut down. When it
- 37:50Speaker 9: comes to Webmer, like, you know, she did that weird
- 37:52Speaker 9: you know publicity start where she fed the girl the
- 37:54Speaker 9: milk and the dorito's chip. So she's not one to
- 37:58Speaker 9: shy having her face, having your face in front of
- 38:01Speaker 9: a camera. So for her to do this is just
- 38:03Speaker 9: another political stunt and embarrassment, and it shows you a
- 38:07Speaker 9: politician that doesn't want to try to reach across the
- 38:09Speaker 9: aisle to try to get things done for her constituents. Instead,
- 38:12Speaker 9: she hides her face because she's ashamed and she's a
- 38:15Speaker 9: coward of who she really is.
- 38:19Speaker 3: Well, I remember back in the height of the covid era,
- 38:23Speaker 3: Governor Winmar whilst Florida was completely open and free, Texas
- 38:28Speaker 3: where you are, was open and free, she was.
- 38:31Speaker 2: Locking down seeds.
- 38:33Speaker 3: She didn't want anyone to be planting seeds in their
- 38:36Speaker 3: garden to.
- 38:37Speaker 2: Grow vegetables like just some really.
- 38:40Speaker 3: Bizarre COVID restrictions coming from that governor.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Now, let's talk about DOGE.
- 38:47Speaker 3: There's another expose a by the Department of Government Efficiency.
- 38:51Speaker 3: Let's see how many social security numbers have been issued
- 38:56Speaker 3: to illegal immigrants.
- 38:57Speaker 5: The Immigration Department nailed them a social security number, no interview,
- 39:03Speaker 5: no proof of identity, to put it in the mail.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Here's your number.
- 39:06Speaker 5: In twenty twenty one, does says two hundred and seventy
- 39:09Speaker 5: thousand new aliens were issued social Security numbers, five hundred
- 39:13Speaker 5: and ninety thousand twenty twenty two, nine hundred and sixty
- 39:16Speaker 5: four thousand twenty twenty three, and two point one million
- 39:19Speaker 5: in twenty four, right before Biden left office. DOSE also
- 39:23Speaker 5: discovered that one point three million aliens are now receiving Medicaid.
- 39:28Speaker 3: Two point one million just in twenty twenty four.
- 39:32Speaker 2: Those numbers are astounding.
- 39:34Speaker 9: Alex Well, people want to say it's a conspiracy, but
- 39:38Speaker 9: it's obvious that they wanted to try to import as
- 39:41Speaker 9: many people possible so that they can influence future elections,
- 39:44Speaker 9: and by giving that many social security numbers, making it
- 39:47Speaker 9: accessible to vote for these illegal immigrants. I just think
- 39:50Speaker 9: that that's obviously what they were doing. So I'm happy
- 39:52Speaker 9: that that now is going to stop. It needs to
- 39:55Speaker 9: go back to the good old days when it was
- 39:56Speaker 9: ninety day fiance. You had to marry an ugly person
- 39:59Speaker 9: to become an American citizen. You didn't just get a
- 40:01Speaker 9: free green card and access to future elections.
- 40:07Speaker 3: Well, yeah, we'll go back to those those heady days
- 40:12Speaker 3: before you go. I'm really shocked that this story has got.
- 40:17Speaker 2: Barely any coverage. This is a remarkable story.
- 40:21Speaker 3: We've got an American, a Russian American, a beautiful ballerina
- 40:25Speaker 3: freed in a prisoner exchange, and yet barely any coverage,
- 40:30Speaker 3: perhaps because when she was freed, she made the point
- 40:34Speaker 3: of thanking Donald Trump.
- 40:36Speaker 1: What's your message for the President? You said, that's drum.
- 40:39Speaker 15: I'm so so free cooperate to bring me home and
- 40:42Speaker 15: for American government, and i never felt more blessed to
- 40:45Speaker 15: be American.
- 40:46Speaker 13: And I'm so happy to get hold and thank you him.
- 40:50Speaker 2: Alex.
- 40:51Speaker 3: She was sentenced to twelve years in a Russian prison
- 40:55Speaker 3: after pleading guilty to treason, all for donating just around
- 41:00Speaker 3: fifty dollars to a Ukrainian charity in early twenty twenty four.
- 41:05Speaker 2: This is a feel good story.
- 41:07Speaker 3: How is this story not being getting saturation coverage?
- 41:14Speaker 9: Well, you know, Rita, I'm surprised it's not because I've
- 41:16Speaker 9: been very critical of the Ukrainian war. But I'll be honest,
- 41:20Speaker 9: Vladimir Putin throw's journalists off buildings. Russia is not innocent
- 41:24Speaker 9: when it comes to this horrible conflict that's happening. So
- 41:27Speaker 9: Russia needs to step up and end this war. So
- 41:28Speaker 9: does the Ukrainians and Vladimir Zelenski. And I'm happy that
- 41:32Speaker 9: she's free for fifty bucks to the Ukraine to be
- 41:35Speaker 9: jailed for twelve years, absolutely.
- 41:37Speaker 2: Shocking, Alex Stein, Thanks for your time.
- 41:42Speaker 1: Thank you, Rita.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Still to come.
- 41:44Speaker 3: Why Megan markl is being accused of deliberately antagonizing the
- 41:48Speaker 3: Royal family. Kinsey Schofield has the details.
- 41:52Speaker 2: I love it.
- 42:01Speaker 3: Welcome back joining me now, celebrity and royal reporter Kinsey Schofield. Kinsey,
- 42:06Speaker 3: let's start with Meghan Markles. She's sparked more outrage after
- 42:10Speaker 3: publishing a message addressing herself as your Royal Highness, despite
- 42:16Speaker 3: her and Harry having agreed to stop using their royal
- 42:20Speaker 3: titles after they quit the Royal Family and left the
- 42:24Speaker 3: United Kingdom.
- 42:25Speaker 2: What's going on here. You can't.
- 42:29Speaker 3: Have these titles if you're not going to put in
- 42:31Speaker 3: the work, if you're not going to be a working royal.
- 42:35Speaker 18: It's so disrespectful to Queen Elizabeth. The second memory, you know,
- 42:39Speaker 18: Meghan Michael is poking.
- 42:40Speaker 13: The bear here.
- 42:41Speaker 18: I have it on good authority that Prince William wants
- 42:44Speaker 18: to strip them of their titles, and the Sussexes would
- 42:47Speaker 18: like reassurance that he won't do that, knowing how much
- 42:50Speaker 18: it would hurt their commercial opportunities. Harry and Meghan are
- 42:53Speaker 18: the new Fergian Andrew. They cheapen the crown. The only
- 42:57Speaker 18: thing HRH stands for an association with Meghan Markel is
- 43:01Speaker 18: her ruthless home wreckerness. I guess, but I do not
- 43:05Speaker 18: think that Meghan Marcle should be utilizing the title. I
- 43:09Speaker 18: think that this is just her way of trying to
- 43:11Speaker 18: remind the world that she, for eighteen months was a royal.
- 43:17Speaker 3: Well yes, yes, And she started off with all the
- 43:21Speaker 3: adulation because I remember I was one of the few
- 43:24Speaker 3: who was looking on going what is this? Why is
- 43:27Speaker 3: everyone absolutely worshiping this woman? Because she seemed so fake,
- 43:33Speaker 3: so obviously fake from the start. Now Prince Harry has
- 43:36Speaker 3: told the UK Telegraph that he believes that the Royal
- 43:40Speaker 3: Family stripped him of his police protection to try to
- 43:44Speaker 3: trap him and Meghan Markel in the Royal Family and
- 43:48Speaker 3: stop them leaving Britain. He said that his worst fears
- 43:52Speaker 3: have been confirmed.
- 43:54Speaker 2: By secret evidence he had heard in court.
- 43:57Speaker 18: Kinsey, Okay, you and I both know that the Royal Family,
- 44:02Speaker 18: at this point in time, after the Oprah Winfrey interview,
- 44:06Speaker 18: Spare and the Netflix series.
- 44:08Speaker 2: Want nothing to do with these two people.
- 44:10Speaker 18: Do we really believe that the Royal Family was trying
- 44:13Speaker 18: to trap them in the UK? I think you know,
- 44:16Speaker 18: if you believe the Daily Beast their reports are is
- 44:19Speaker 18: that the desire not to have the Duke and Duchess
- 44:22Speaker 18: of Sussex ever return has intensified. They don't want anything
- 44:27Speaker 18: to do with Harry and Meghan and this just plays
- 44:30Speaker 18: into their victimhood narrative that Prince Harry has been milking
- 44:34Speaker 18: since he just quit his job. But I disagree with him.
- 44:38Speaker 18: I don't believe that the Royal Family has any desire
- 44:40Speaker 18: to have him back.
- 44:44Speaker 2: No trying to trap Why would you want to trap
- 44:46Speaker 2: those two? I think that would have been very happy
- 44:49Speaker 2: to see the back of.
- 44:49Speaker 3: Them now moving on from the Ginger and the winda
- 44:53Speaker 3: Rosio O'Donnell has revealed her friendship with an infamous convicted killer,
- 44:58Speaker 3: Lle Menendez, saying she feels safe to be vulnerable with him.
- 45:04Speaker 2: This was in an interview with The New York Times.
- 45:07Speaker 3: Kinsey won on Earth this going on, Why is Rosio
- 45:11Speaker 3: donnell in contact with one of the Menendez.
- 45:14Speaker 18: Brothers, Rita, this is a woman that's constantly trying to
- 45:18Speaker 18: tell us who to vote for.
- 45:19Speaker 13: What a great judge of character.
- 45:21Speaker 18: And if your audience isn't familiar Lyel Menendez along with
- 45:25Speaker 18: his brother Eric, they murdered their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez,
- 45:29Speaker 18: and their Beverly Hills mansion in nineteen eighty nine and
- 45:32Speaker 18: then went on multiple shopping sprees. The crime scene was
- 45:36Speaker 18: so horrific at the time, cops initially thought it was
- 45:38Speaker 18: a mob hit. But she's become friends with them because
- 45:41Speaker 18: she continues to publicly defend them, which, again, great judge
- 45:44Speaker 18: of character. So next time Rosie wants to tell me
- 45:47Speaker 18: who to vote for, I'm going to ask her to
- 45:49Speaker 18: sit this one out.
- 45:52Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely.
- 45:53Speaker 3: Cigalizzo likes to be political as well, and she had
- 45:57Speaker 3: a not so subtle jab Donald Trump's tariff spy wearing
- 46:03Speaker 3: a blacks leeveless crop top with the red letters that
- 46:07Speaker 3: read Tariff across the front during a performance.
- 46:11Speaker 2: Of on Saturday Night Live. This is a bold isn't it?
- 46:16Speaker 3: Of a Saturday Night Live is the perfect place to
- 46:20Speaker 3: be making bold political statements.
- 46:23Speaker 18: Yeah, you know what, if I'm going to be honest
- 46:25Speaker 18: with you, I two am terrified every time Lizzo wears
- 46:29Speaker 18: a crop top. But Lizzo has multiple lovesuit spending with
- 46:32Speaker 18: former employees alleging a hostile work environment another misconduct. So
- 46:36Speaker 18: until she cleans up her own front porch, maybe she
- 46:39Speaker 18: should limit her commentary on leadership.
- 46:44Speaker 3: I've got to say, I'm shocked how much weight she
- 46:46Speaker 3: has lost there. That is quite dramatic from the last
- 46:50Speaker 3: time I saw her. So this is well, there was
- 46:54Speaker 3: Suspecto's mpic. Has she been forthcoming in what's happened there?
- 46:59Speaker 2: I think it was all about positivity.
- 47:03Speaker 18: Yeah, I mean we've seen her work out a lot online,
- 47:06Speaker 18: but I do think she's admitted to some help when
- 47:08Speaker 18: it comes to medication as well too.
- 47:13Speaker 3: Now, Bernie Sanders made an appearance at Coachella office a
- 47:17Speaker 3: raisins as a music festival, and of course he took
- 47:20Speaker 3: the opportunity to blast Donald Trump and a loon masca.
- 47:24Speaker 2: What else can you tell us, Kinsey, You know what
- 47:27Speaker 2: a joke.
- 47:28Speaker 18: This is one of the reasons we saw the Democrats
- 47:30Speaker 18: bomb so extraordinarily during the last election. Kamala parading Beyonce
- 47:34Speaker 18: and Megan thee Stallion on stage.
- 47:36Speaker 2: It's the elites just talking to each other.
- 47:39Speaker 18: One Coachella influencer said online that she spent over one
- 47:43Speaker 18: hundred dollars for her food truck meal consisting of tacos
- 47:47Speaker 18: and lemonade on Friday night alone. Bernie's they're talking to spoiled,
- 47:52Speaker 18: little rich kids again, totally out of touch with regular
- 47:56Speaker 18: everyday Americans and their pressing needs. So good luck, Bernie,
- 48:01Speaker 18: but this seems totally hypocritical considering where he stands on
- 48:06Speaker 18: all of his policies.
- 48:10Speaker 3: And just have bizarre to have Bernie Sanders at a
- 48:13Speaker 3: music festival, just go on stage and give some sort
- 48:17Speaker 3: of a political rant. What's that got to do with
- 48:20Speaker 3: a music festival? What have you got some eighty year
- 48:22Speaker 3: old there a socialist who's got three or four houses preaching.
- 48:28Speaker 3: It's crazy times, crazy times, Kinsey Schofield, Thank you so
- 48:32Speaker 3: much for your time again tonight, and that's it from me.
- 48:36Speaker 3: I'll see you at eleven tomorrow night. And we've got
- 48:39Speaker 3: Douglas Murray on the program tomorrow. Don't want to miss that.
- 48:43Speaker 3: Coming up next it's Newsnight,
