- 0:00I know every Christian has challenging days, like I had this morning.
- 0:04I had chaotic thought process. I was hyper-focused on inconsequential matters.
- 0:09You know the evil force is trying to pull you away from a place of peace when this happens.
- 0:15The minute you notice a pattern turned to God, yes, there is a pattern.
- 0:20Look for three things. Chaos.
- 0:23Satan prefers to attack with more than one flaming dart.
- 0:28Look for negative feelings towards others. This is counter to what Jesus expects of us.
- 0:34And also take into consideration how you're feeling about the problem.
- 0:39Do you have a desire to take care of it yourself, deal with the people involved?
- 0:43Or are you feeling like showing mercy and submitting to God?
- 0:47You may end up thinking no one but you can fix the issue at hand.
- 0:51These three are a pattern that are typically followed when Satan's attacking.
- 0:57I have the good fortune of experiencing one of these situations today.
- 1:01Why am I calling it good? Because something wonderful happened.
- 1:06I looked up, and through the dawn light, I could see the thick, dense fog.
- 1:12I love it when it gets foggy.
- 1:14It reminds me of various scripture verses from the Bible.
- 1:18Quote, Now the Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there,
- 1:24and proclaimed the name of the Lord. End quote.
- 1:28Exodus chapter 34, verse 5.
- 1:32Quote Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of the
- 1:36Lord filled the tabernacle.
- 1:38And Moses was not able to enter the tabernacle of meeting, because the cloud
- 1:43rested above it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
- 1:47End quote. Exodus 40, verses 34 and 35.
- 1:53When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the
- 1:59burnt offering and the sacrifices,
- 2:02and the glory of the Lord filled the temple, and the priests could not enter
- 2:07the house of the Lord because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord's house.
- 2:142 Chronicles 7, 1-2 When I watch dense clouds that descend over the water or
- 2:22in the mountains, I imagine that
- 2:24Father Almighty wants to be with us and cannot wait for us to go to him.
- 2:29So he comes down to visit us.
- 2:32But he stays over the water because we are too impure as a collective and may
- 2:36be burned to smithereens when we come in contact with him.
- 2:39Because he is so pure. This is not theologically vetted, and I'm no scholar,
- 2:44so please take it with a grain of salt.
- 2:47When we do not accept Christ, we have impure hearts and are not cleansed by his blood.
- 2:54If in this state we see the most pure, or touch the most pure,
- 2:58we will burn to ashes, like dross that is overexposed to heat.
- 3:04When silver that is contaminated by dross is put through high temperatures,
- 3:09silver turns to liquid but the dross burns.
- 3:11When we do not open our eyes to the great commission fulfilled by Jesus,
- 3:16we are chock full of dross and hence not ready to be in contact with Father Almighty.
- 3:22God loves us so very much that every once in a while he visits from afar even
- 3:29though he can see us from the heavens above.
- 3:32Like I said, this is not theologically sound. But the clouds remind me of God's
- 3:37desire to be with us and that he will take us home one day.
- 3:41This thought this morning did snap me out of my piddly issues that were plaguing
- 3:46me and set my mind on him and cheered me up.
- 3:50I went off into the foggy morning with a newfound joy of abounding love.
- 3:55I hope you find something that reminds you of his eternal love for you,
- 3:59no matter how silly it may be.
- 4:02Dear God, the world you created for us is beyond beautiful.
- 4:06You handcrafted each atom in a large mountain with the same effort and beauty.
- 4:11Thank you for giving us this green earth which reflects your love for us.
- 4:15Help me seek you out in everything I see today. Amen.
