Speaker A: On this week's prequel episode, we follow up on our Something Wicked this Way Comes listener polls. Learn a little bit about goosebumps and preview Goosebumps. Night of the Living Dummy 3.
• 0:21
  Speaker B: Hello.
• 0:22
Speaker A: Welcome back to another prequel episode of this film's lately podcast where we talk about movies that are based on books. We have all of our segments, so we're going to jump right in, as we always do, to our patron shout outs. I put up with you because your father and mother were our finest patrons. That's why. No new patrons this week. But we do have our Academy Award winning patrons and they are Amanda Nicole Goble, Harpo Rat, Nathan Matild, Cottonwood Steve, Ben Wilcox, Teresa Schwartz, Ian from Wine Country, Kelly Napier. Gratch. Just Gratch. Shelby says Slappy Halloween and that darn skag. Thank you all so much for your continuing support. Shelby's in the mood for the for the Halloween episode already. I believe Slappy is the name of the dummy from the dummy. Night of the Living well.
• 1:05
Speaker B: And this was a Shelby request.
• 1:07
Speaker A: Yes. Yeah, yeah. Yes, indeed. All right, let's go ahead and see what the people had to say about something Wicked this way comes.
• 1:14
Speaker B: Yeah, well, you know, that's just like your opinion. Man on Patreon. We had three votes for the book, one for the movie, and. And two listeners who couldn't decide. Our first comment was from Eric, who said, it's cool that you compared that one line about pain to Clive Barker and Hellraiser, because I often get this book confused with a Clive Barker children's novel. I'm not sure Clive Barker children's novel
• 1:42
Speaker A: or Words Go Together. I would not have expected that.
• 1:45
Speaker B: Called the Thief of Always, which is about a supernatural entity that traps children and steals their youth so it can stay immortal. Okay. Yeah, it was like kind of a similar idea.
• 1:55
  Speaker A: Yeah, for sure.
• 1:56
Speaker B: Clive Barker is also someone who like Ray Bradbury. I prefer their short stories because the atmosphere and the prose is always there and compelling. But in longer works, things can kind of drag. I feel that way about a lot of like older authors.
• 2:13
Speaker A: Actually like more classic.
• 2:14
Speaker B: Yeah, like classic authors and like a lot of like mid century ish authors as well. Like I tend to prefer them in short bursts over novel length works.
• 2:24
  Speaker A: That's fair.
• 2:26
Speaker B: Anyway, I didn't watch the movie, but I really like Ray Bradbury and I vote for the book. Our next comment was from Kelly Napier who said, okay, first things first. Shout out to Eric for the Thief of Always Love. I feel like no one knows about that book and it's amazing. When I first picked it up in middle school, I read it in one night and I have reread it a number of times over the years and shoved it into the hands of both my older kids when they were reading at the appropriate level.
• 2:52
Speaker A: I assume there's no adaptation of the Thief of Always.
• 2:56
Speaker B: We could look into it. I don't know.
• 2:58
Speaker A: I would assume one of them would have mentioned it here if it was. If there wasn't any.
• 3:01
Speaker B: But you never know. We could. We could take a look. Second, I've got to go with the book. As you talked about in the episode, the limitations of special effects capabilities at the time and also the Disney treatment of toning down the scarier parts really did the movie a disservice. Throughout the book, Dark is referred to as the Illustrated man with his tattoos being the trophies of those he's abducted over the years. I would have loved to have seen this depicted in the movie with Jim and Will's portraits being mixed in among the throng instead of just two weak ass drawings on his hands. Yeah, totally agree. One of my favorite scenes in the book was after the boys accidentally overage Cougar and Dark and his freak show turn Cougar into Mr. Electrico to try and fool the police that nothing bad is going on at the carnival. It was so creepy to read and would have been cool to see in the movie. I think we closest. I think the closest we get to that is Tom Fury being seen in an electric chair at one point.
• 4:01
Speaker A: Yeah, you mentioned that.
• 4:02
  Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 4:03
Speaker A: That scene wasn't in there.
• 4:05
Speaker B: I loved the vibe of the book and blew through it. The movie just left me wanting more. I am morally opposed to remakes and reboots, but this property is kind of begging for a more adult treatment of the story.
• 4:17
Speaker A: Yeah, I could see in there.
• 4:18
Speaker B: I think this is a good candidate for a remake.
• 4:21
Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely. Speaking of the Thief of Always, I did find this in the mid-90s. The thief of Always was set to be adapted for Paramount pictures as a 22.5 million animated musical film.
• 4:31
  Speaker B: Interesting.
• 4:32
Speaker A: With music by Jerry Goldsmith and Clive Barker set to produce. Nelvana was set to produce the animation for the film. I'm not sure what Nilvana is with Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall serving as co executive producers. Films reportedly made it 2/3 through the storyboarding process before being shuttered for whatever reason. So dang, it was going to be made at one point. But yeah, they did not do it.
• 4:55
Speaker B: Our last comment on Patreon was from Cottonwood. Steve Steve was the patron who requested this property and Steve said I had a hard time really figuring out which way to go with the selection. I'm a total fence sitter in regards to this book, so I'm glad you all had a firmer stance. The problem for me is I saw this as a kid and was absolutely freaked out by it. The spider scene alone makes me squirm and I have an irrational fear of spiders these days. It's worse when I found out as an adult these poor kids were dealing with real spiders. Thanks jerkface producers for adding this scene in. In spite of the flaws of the movie, I really liked the fact that Bradbury tried to expand the universe of this book a little more by including more Faustian bargains to eliminate Dark's. Plus lessening the power of the Dust Witch seemed to focus the darkness of the carnival more squarely on Dark's shoulders. I honestly felt the Dust Witch was more scary in the book than Dark was. I mean, he's killed with kindness while pretending to be a kid. And then of course you got Jonathan Pryce. I'm always wary of a remake of this book because I honestly felt he has the right mix of menace, authority and arrogance that the character so richly deserves. The scene with him and Mr. Holloway is far superior in the movie, especially the stare down as Mr. Dark walks back to lead his people. Some people don't like the fact that Bradbury pulled something of a George Lucas move by changing a lot of what made the book so interesting with more 80s appropriate sentiment. But this is oddly on par with Bradbury. Years after he did Fahrenheit 451, he wrote a stage play in the 80s and added a highly debated scene that Bradbury acolytes like myself argue where the main antagonist Captain Beatty, reveals to Guy Montag that his apartment is filled to the ceiling with books. Quote, all this knowledge and stories at my fingertips, but never been spoken aloud or read.
• 7:00
Speaker A: So he likes to revise his own work, I guess.
• 7:02
Speaker B: Yeah, it sounds like it. I honestly don't know a ton about Bradbury.
• 7:06
  Speaker A: Yeah, I don't either.
• 7:07
Speaker B: I read Fahrenheit 451 in high school, but I haven't read it since. I could only tell you very like general things about it. Yeah, strangely enough, as huge of a Bradbury fan as I am, I'm not the biggest fan of this book. I honestly felt you could have shaved off about 50 pages and it would have been fine for Bradbury does go on some never ending streams of prose where a Couple sentences would suffice. But his full length novel career was on its last legs as he was almost strictly stuck to short stories and essays afterwards. But I got to admit his style is always fantastic, especially in short story form, which is where his true wheelhouse was. I can't say the movie is better because the book is so inventive with its prose. Either way, I'm glad you chose this one because I still believe Bradbury's work is relevant and needs to be adapted more often. Though don't get me started on the recent Fahrenheit 451 adaptation.
• 8:07
Speaker A: Ugh, I didn't know there was a recent.
• 8:08
Speaker B: I did not either adaptation. Either way, another great show.
• 8:12
Speaker A: Thank you, Steve. We appreciate that. There was a film adaptation in 2018, written and co written and directed by Roman Barani. I don't know what he's done. He did.
• 8:26
Speaker B: Wait, I don't remember hearing anything about that.
• 8:30
Speaker A: Nothing I've heard of. Literally nothing I've heard of. And it was a TV movie, it looks like. Yeah, it was. Yeah. This guy has done nothing. The White Tiger. I've never heard of anything he's done, but it starred Michael B. Jordan and Michael Shannon.
• 8:46
  Speaker B: Interesting.
• 8:46
Speaker A: But a 2018 version. Yeah. And apparently it's a remake of the film of the same name according to Wicked. Yeah.
• 8:53
Speaker B: Because there was a film from like the 60s which I do remember watching in high school.
• 8:59
Speaker A: I've seen a clip of it, I think.
• 9:00
Speaker B: Is it the clip with the flying policeman? Because that's the only thing I remember remember from that movie at all.
• 9:07
Speaker A: Yeah, it has the, the made for TV one has a 30% on rotten tomatoes.
• 9:11
Speaker B: So we had another comment from Steve that was on Instagram and he said, I'm going to defend the name Autumn people. It sounds menacing in a way that we have no idea if they are good or bad. Like if they give you a jelly donut, it will be jam or human guts.
• 9:29
Speaker A: I mean, you're not wrong there. I, I, yeah, I didn't. We were mostly joking about the name, but about it being not creepy enough. But yeah, I, I like it. I think it's fun.
• 9:37
  Speaker B: I think it's fun.
• 9:38
Speaker A: It feels appropriately like mysterious as you're alluding to.
• 9:45
Speaker B: And yes, Bradbury's style is dizzying sometimes, but that is what makes him unique. The only straight in quotes book he made that didn't have that kind of language was maybe the Martian Chronicles. I've never read the Martian Chronicles. I know that's one of his. More like like after Fahrenheit 451. I think that's probably his more well known work, but I've never read it. All right. Over on Facebook, we had zero votes for the book and one for the movie. We had one comment from James, who said, movie. I like that Disney took a swing at some dark movies. Watcher in the woods was also legit.
• 10:23
Speaker A: Okay, I've never heard of Watcher in the Woods. I'll have to either. Yeah, I don't know what that is.
• 10:27
Speaker B: On Instagram, we had one vote for the book, one for the movie, and one listener who couldn't decide. And Miller K96 said, Best takeaway of this episode was Googling Pam Grier and scrolling for 10 minutes.
• 10:41
Speaker A: Respectfully. Respectfully looking. Yeah. Yeah, that's fair.
• 10:45
Speaker B: And finally, on Goodreads, we had one listener who couldn't decide, and that listener was Miko, who said, I wasn't really a fan of the style of this book. It felt like every second sentence contained a metaphor or a simile, and that got annoying pretty fast. Maybe it flows better in original English. I could only get my hands on a translated version, or had the story been tighter, I might not have paid so much attention to it. As much as I always dislike it, I'm calling this a tie.
• 11:18
Speaker A: Okay, fair enough. Interesting. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know how. It didn't read particularly clunky to you, did it? I mean, in terms of the.
• 11:26
Speaker B: I think the points that Meiko is making here are fair. It is like the language is very metaphor heavy, which is not everyone's cup of tea. I really enjoyed it because I like that kind of prose. But I also think it's a fair point that the story itself is maybe not as tight as it could be. And the language would, I think, be a little easier to stomach if the story were tighter.
• 11:52
Speaker A: That makes sense. Yeah. I mean, that coincides even with Steve's kind of point about how he could have cut 50 pages from it.
• 11:58
Speaker B: Yeah, and I honestly, I do agree with that as well. We probably could have trimmed some fat on that one.
• 12:03
  Speaker A: Okay, that's fair.
• 12:05
Speaker B: So our poll results this week were interesting. Something that I don't know has ever happened before. We had a tie between the book winning and the undecided vote with four votes each, plus three votes for the movie.
• 12:19
Speaker A: There you go. Well, I guess technically on that vote, the book wins.
• 12:23
  Speaker B: I guess so.
• 12:23
Speaker A: I mean, like, it had more than the movie, so I guess it kind of technically wins. So. All right. We do in fact have a learning things segment this week. So we're gonna learn a little bit about Goosebumps.
• 12:33
Speaker B: No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world.
• 12:39
Speaker A: Katie's on the back end of a cold, so I'm gonna read this. This time I'm only recovering from, I think hopefully just my flu vaccine I got the other day. So I'm also. I might leave that one in the illustrate.
• 12:54
  Speaker B: Jesus.
• 12:55
Speaker A: Katie just coughed for like 10 minutes in between segments and then im started hacking up along again. Goosebumps is a series of children's horror novels written by American author R.L. stein. Between 1992 and 1997, 62 books were published under the Goosebumps umbrella title. R.L. stine also wrote various spin off series. One of my favorite spin off series, at least I don't remember, I think it was called choose your own Scare, but I can't remember. But it was a choose your own adventure Goosebumps version that I had a couple of that I really enjoyed. And I can't remember what some of the other ones were, but I remember that one for sure.
• 13:29
Speaker B: There's a fun fact about me that is a great shame. As a 90s kid, I never read a single Goosebumps book.
• 13:36
Speaker A: I read like all of them.
• 13:37
Speaker B: It was not something I was into as a kid, so I never like, sought it out.
• 13:44
Speaker A: Yeah, that's fair. Yeah, I think I read. I know I read Night of the Living Dummy. Some of them I read as I was scrolling through the episodes while I was doing research for the movie, quote, unquote, movie section, I was scrolling through the episode titles from the TV show and I was like, yeah, I remember reading that one. I read that one. I read that one. There's so many of them that I was like, yeah, I remember reading all of these and I have vague memories of how some of them go. I don't remember. I don't know if I read Night of the Living Dummy 3. I'm sure I did, but I do not remember at all what happens in that. One of the main ones, I remember the choose your own adventure one I had was about like haunted peanut butter and jelly or something like that. Like evil or something like that.
• 14:21
  Speaker B: Or.
• 14:22
Speaker A: Or like a slime that was evil, but it looked like peanut butter and jell. I can't remember. And then another one I had that I. Or that I remember reading was the first episode of the second season of the show or third season, which was Shocker on Shock Street. And I remember spoilers for Shocker on Shock Street. It's about These kids who go like to test a new like amusement park and then the reveal at the end is that they are automatons that are like part of the amusement park or something like that. I can't. It's like a. It's like a Twilight Zone style. Like you're in their perspective the whole time and you think they're like normal people and then it turns out they were like part of the ride. They like start short circuiting at the end and like a technician comes in and like fixes them or something. I can't remember exactly what happens, but yeah. Since the release of its first novel, welcome to Dead House in July 1992, the books have achieved immense popularity, garnered positive reviews and achieved commercial success worldwide. As of 2023, Goosebumps is the second best selling book series in history behind Harry Potter. At one point, the series held the distinction of being the best selling book series of all time, selling over over 4 million books a month during its prime. The Goosebumps series falls under many genres, but mainly horror and thriller. Although Stein characterizes the books as scary books that are also funny, they contain surreal horror with characters encountering the strange and supernatural. And yeah, that is definitely my memory of them. They're not exclusively horror. They are also silly and like fun. They're for kids, so it makes sense. Stein says that he does not have any death in his stories and that the children in his novels are never put into situations that would be considered, quote, too serious. He attributes the success of his books to the absence of drugs, depravity and violence. I mean, I can imagine that is definitely part of it because they were easy for libraries and book sellers and stuff to recommend to children because they
• 16:10
Speaker B: said it's not too serious, not too
• 16:12
Speaker A: scary, not too serious. Easy for your librarian to recommend to people to try to get them to read. And they had great covers. That was a big thing and great titles. I think that was a huge hook for a lot of them. So you see the COVID in that title and be like, well, I got to know what the the haunted mask is about because that haunted mask cover. Oh, I remember watch reading or seeing that so many times and that image is seared into my brain of the little girl putting the horrifying mask on. According to the documentary Tales from the Crypt, from comic books to television, R.L. stein said that he remembered reading the infamous Tales from the Cryp comic books when he was young and credited them as one of his inspirations. Books and characters in the series were inspired by books and films. For example, the character Slappy the Dummy was inspired by the literary classic the Adventures of Pinocchio Stein. Also, I also like. That totally makes sense because Shocker on Shock Street. I don't think it's like a direct rip of like, Westworld, but I think it's playing on bits of Westworld and stuff like that. And so I think it's very common that he's doing the kids versions of. Yeah, a lot of classic. Yeah, famous sci fi, horror thriller stories. He's doing like the kids version of it. Stein said he also uses his childhood fears to help him write his books. The author said, quote, luckily, I have a great memory. As I write a story, I can remember what it feels like to be afraid and panicky. End quote. Two common themes in the series are children triumphing over evil and children facing horrid or frightening situations and using their own wit and imagination to escape them. Stein does not attempt to incorporate moral lessons into his novels and says his books are, quote, strictly reading motivation. Goosebumps was listed 15th in the list of most frequently challenged books during 1990-1999. According to the ALA, the series was challenged for being too frightening for young people and depicting occult or demonic themes. Sure. For this episode, we'll be reviewing two episodes from the 1995 Goosebumps television series. But that series has also been adapted as comic books, video games, audiobooks, a 2013, 2023 streaming series and two films both in 2015 and 2018, which we've seen, I believe, the 2015 one.
• 18:18
  Speaker B: Have we?
• 18:18
Speaker A: Remember we went to that drive in movie and it was the Goosebumps, was it not? Goosebumps?
• 18:22
Speaker B: No, no, no, no. That was the Haunted Mansion remake.
• 18:24
Speaker A: Oh, that was the Haunted Mansion. Well, then, no, we haven't seen it. No, I lied. I was thinking of the Haunted Mansion remake. Thought that. I just assumed that was the welcome to Dead House. Like no Goosebumps movie. Yeah, never mind. It was very forgettable. So. All right, we're gonna learn now a little bit about the book. Night of The Living Dummy 3. Sunday, before you go to sleep, wake up for me. Catch a terrifying tale. Goosebumps, Night of the Living dummy, Sunday at 7. Six Central.
• 18:52
Speaker B: Have a very few fun facts here. Same for the movie, but Night of The Living Dummy 3 is the 40th book in the original Goosebumps book series and the third book, hence the three in the title, in the Living Dummy saga. It was first published in 1996 when it was republished in 2015 and got a reprint a couple of outdated references were removed, including a reference to NBA Jam.
• 19:19
  Speaker A: What?
• 19:20
Speaker B: And a line about Dan wanting, quote, the new 32 bit system. Sure.
• 19:26
Speaker A: I mean, I guess I get it, but NBA Jam was a great game.
• 19:29
Speaker B: I think that kind of thing is it the shoes. I'm not gonna lie. Like, I think that kind of thing should stand. I don't think they should change it for reprints.
• 19:36
Speaker A: Yeah, it is. Like, I get, I get the idea is like, well, we want. Want it to be more timeless so that kids today understand. But like, yeah, it's. I guess there maybe aren't. Maybe he intentionally wrote them apart from that to be a little more like not set in specific times.
• 19:49
  Speaker B: Yeah, maybe.
• 19:50
  Speaker A: Whatever.
• 19:52
Speaker B: My last fun fact here is that the book's main villain is Slappy the Dummy, the iconic Slappy the Dummy who is also the mascot of the Goosebumps.
• 20:02
Speaker A: Yeah, he kind of becomes like, he's kind of like the Crypt Keeper. Yeah, like he's like the face of the series in a lot of ways. So. All right, now let's learn a little bit about Night of The Living Dummy 3, the film. We now return to Goosebumps Night of The Living Dummy 3. Kinda not really. Neither. Living Dummy 3 is a 1998 two part TV episode from the Goosebumps television series. Or 97. I. I have 98.
• 20:27
  Speaker B: I thought I saw 97.
• 20:28
Speaker A: I thought I. I must have pulled that from the IMDb where it said when it came out, I don't know, 97 or 98. Two part TV episode from the Goosebumps television series. It was directed by Timothy Bond, who directed mainly TV episodes of Friday the 13th series, episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents, a handful of episodes of Hercules, the Legendary Journeys, Sliders, Touched by an angel, and a bunch of other stuff from that time period. It was written by Neil Shusterman, who wrote seven total episodes of the Goosebumps TV show, two episodes of R.L. stein's The Haunting Hour, the 1994 film Double Dragon, which I assume is based on the video game, but I'm not entirely sure, but that would be my guess based on the COVID of it. There was a video game called Double Dragon and six episodes of the Animorphs
• 21:12
Speaker B: TV show, another iconic 90s series.
• 21:16
Speaker A: And it was Executive Story, edited by Dan angel and Bill Brown, which appear to me, based on what I could find, to essentially be the showrunners for the Goosebumps movie. They have executive producer or story editor credits on every episode, basically. So I think they were basically like the showrunners. The episode stars Cal Dodd, Erica Fairfield, Blair Slater, Martin Doyle, Belinda Metz, Ray Cannert, Anik Obansawin, Obana Sawin. Obana Sawin. Butchered that I'm sure. Jordan Prentice, Eugene Lipinski, Patrick Doyle, R.L. stein and Hayden Christensen. The one person, I mean obviously R.L. stein, which I think he just does like the little host intro he like is on camera at the beginning doing I can't remember the guy's name from Roy from Twilight Zone introducing the episode apparently, which we'll get to here in a second. Yeah, that was my. One of my only other fun facts. We'll talk about that in just a second. So one thing to look out for this is IMDb trivia facts. In the scene where Trina and Daniel run into Zane's room and Zane is Hayden Christensen's character, where Slappy has turned Zane into a dummy, there are a few wide shots of the room where you can see the actor of Zane with makeup on to make him look like a dummy instead of the lookalike dummy prop used for close up shots. Supposedly this was the final special to include RLL Stein as the host for the wraparound parts. Apparently they did away with that. And there's two. There's four total seasons and this is from season two. So apparently they did away with that for the later seasons. And then my final one that I was able to get here is that Night of The Living Dummy 2 was adapted for Season 1, Episode 10, but it does not appear that they ever did Night of the Living Dummy one. So interesting. Yeah. Before we get to the end here, we want to remind you you can disappear by heading over to Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Blue Sky, Goodreads, any of those places. • 23:24
  Speaker B: From Shelby.
• 23:25
Speaker A: Yes. Which you mentioned before. Katie, where can people watch the Night of the Living Dummy 3?
• 23:30
Speaker B: So you can check with your local library. They could definitely help you get the book.
• 23:36
  Speaker A: Yes.
• 23:36
Speaker B: 100 the show. Maybe. Maybe local video rental store. Probably less likely.
• 23:43
  Speaker A: Probably less likely.
• 23:44
Speaker B: I did see that this was streaming. I think the show is streaming in a couple places. I don't know if all of the episodes are in these places.
• 23:53
Speaker A: In all of the places.
• 23:54
  Speaker B: Yeah. But the.
• 23:56
Speaker A: Because sometimes they'll have like one season of it or something.
• 23:58
Speaker B: Yeah, but the places that I saw listed were Paramount plus to be the Roku Channel and something called Fossum.
• 24:06
Speaker A: There you go. Paramount plus would probably be your best bet. I imagine. They probably own the rights to the whole show would be my guess. The other. Because it was produced by like for CBS or whatever back in the day or whatever. Whoever Paramount owns, I can't remember believe it's CBS. The other places I believe it's on YouTube. I think you might be able to find a rip of this on YouTube potentially. Like probably not a legit one, but you may be able to find it and watch it on YouTube. And it's only 40 minutes. We were wrong. It's not even a full. It's two 20 minute episodes.
• 24:35
Speaker B: I initially thought that it was two 40 minute episodes. Two 20 minutes, but it's two 20 minute episodes. So 40 minutes all together. We love that because boy am I having a difficult end to this month.
• 24:46
Speaker A: Yeah, we're both dealing with our own illnesses and whatnot. And then just being very busy on top of that with lots of stuff going on. Always this time of year is very busy. So we appreciate Shelby, you giving us a hundred page book and a 40 minute movie to wrap up October. It's fantastic. All right, so you get to read your first Goosebumps books book.
• 25:09
  Speaker B: I have not.
• 25:10
Speaker A: No, I haven't read one since middle school. May. I don't know if I read one in high school at all. Probably not. Probably.
• 25:17
  Speaker B: I mean they're intended for like an 8 to 12.
• 25:20
Speaker A: Yes. I primarily read a bunch of them in elementary school, but I, I don't remember when I like stopped reading them. But I always love, I loved them when I was a kid. I read a. I still have a ton of them at my parents house. Well, they might be in the garage now, I don't know. But I had a ton of them at one point.
• 25:34
Speaker B: I mean I remember like the, the whole shelf of Goosebump books at my elementary school library. But I was just never, never piqued my interest. I was, I was really not into horror as a kid.

Speaker A: There you go. All right, well we're gonna find out what Katie thinks of Goosebumps as well. Specifically Night of the Living Dummy 3. It was. I will say this, I don't remember this ever being one of my favorites. I have some favorites that stuck in my memory. Like Shocker on Shock street, the Haunted Mask. There was a handful of other ones that, like, really? I was like, oh, yeah, I remember that. And that, like, really stuck out to me. This one I remember liking because. And again, it's the iconic character, but I don't remember it being, like, one of my favorite books. So we'll see. We'll see. It's fun that it has Hayden Christensen in it as, like, a child. So that's gonna do it for this prequel episode. Join us in one week's time, we're talking about Night of the Living Dummy 3. Until that time, guys, gals, not better pals than everybody else.
