Transcript
- 0:00I want to start off this podcast reading you
- 0:02guys a tweet from October 19th, 2014. That was
- 0:07over a decade ago. But in it, Zaky Zak Bagans
- 0:12tweeted out, Zozo trending. Creepy. That was
- 0:19his very articulate way of stating that yes,
- 0:21he did in fact cause a demon by the name of Zozo
- 0:25to start trending. On Twitter. So lean in close
- 0:31everyone. I want everyone to. To come in and
- 0:35hear. The question I'm about to ask. This is
- 0:37some serious shit. What happens. Seriously what
- 0:42happens. When a demon. Or a paranormal entity.
- 0:46Goes viral. On social media. We're seeing it
- 0:51now. With Annabelle. No Brianna. You backed away.
- 0:56I'm not finished with you yet. There you go.
- 0:59What happens when these entities go viral? We
- 1:03saw it with Zozo in 2014. Now we're seeing it
- 1:07with Annabelle on TikTok and all the hysteria
- 1:11and the fear around Annabelle. What happens when
- 1:15these entities do go viral? That is a great question.
- 1:22I think we can spend an hour discussing it, which
- 1:25is good because we're about to spend an hour.
- 1:28I mean, you say that, I mean... We could definitely
- 1:31talk about this for so long. So long. 45 minutes,
- 1:34maybe. 50 minutes. Three hours, even. Yeah. Imagine
- 1:40a three -hour podcast. Ten different parts. That
- 1:44would be actually insane. And nobody would listen
- 1:47to a three -hour -long podcast. Honestly, I might.
- 1:50I just listen to a... um two hour and 45 minute
- 1:53podcast okay i'm stand corrected i'm not a person
- 1:57who listens to a lot of podcasts so welcome to
- 2:00our podcast where we take deep dives looking
- 2:02at various topics through a paranormal lens so
- 2:07we need to start uh in talking about this topic
- 2:12i think we can kind of divide it into two sections
- 2:18first the zozo then the annabelle and then kind
- 2:20of open up the floor to anything else because
- 2:22those are the two main things that come to mind
- 2:25yeah yeah every decade now is there going to
- 2:29be a new viral demon like you know like in the
- 2:322010 things didn't really go viral like that
- 2:35you know 2000s so now with social media how it
- 2:39is now is there going to be every decade a new
- 2:42generation defining demon that goes who knows
- 2:46but yeah um starting with zozo do we believe
- 2:54in zozo because my stance has always been that
- 2:58zozo is one of these like even before it was
- 3:03trending on twitter it was always kind of like
- 3:05a meme and like creepypasta sort of stuff i think
- 3:09the more that people hear about zozo they subconsciously
- 3:14interact with what they are then perceiving and
- 3:19you know there's they're not actually i don't
- 3:21believe zozo is a real demon i'll just say it
- 3:24like that i think people are just subconscious
- 3:26bias and they hear all the hysteria and then
- 3:28the ouija board is gonna move to zozo because
- 3:31they know it's a thing yeah you guys believe
- 3:33in zozo no not really i mean i believe that zozo
- 3:39could be I don't know what Zozo could be. It's
- 3:46just a phenomenon that happens when using a Ouija
- 3:51board, but I would not say that it is an actual
- 3:54entity or demon that people are talking to that's
- 3:58this all -powerful demon. Because isn't it common
- 4:02for... One of the common things that happen when
- 4:06people use Ouija boards is it going back and
- 4:09forth on the board between two different... letters
- 4:14it's pretty common with people i feel like yeah
- 4:17zozo is one of them and i guess they decided
- 4:21to make zio zio into a quote demon right i mean
- 4:27yeah that's zozo never used to be a thing in
- 4:34terms of a known entity once i think it was like
- 4:392009 2010 A couple blog posts, some books were
- 4:43written about what has since been dubbed the
- 4:47world's most famous demon. The world's scariest
- 4:51demon. It's been known as the Ouija board entity.
- 4:57Which we've used spirit boards, not frequently,
- 5:03but we have a decent amount of times. Zozo's
- 5:08never come. come through it's not like it's the
- 5:12only thing you talk to on spirit boards but it
- 5:15is this well -known entity that every time it's
- 5:22mentioned it's mentioned with fear and mentioned
- 5:26as a demon as a fact stated this is a demon that's
- 5:31coming through and every story i mean some of
- 5:35the stories if you look up zozo are insane yeah
- 5:41wild i mean i remember even watching the ghost
- 5:44adventures episode on zozo but at the time it
- 5:48just it i think i only watched it once and it
- 5:51was just so It was a weird episode, and I'm like...
- 5:55Kind of a cringy one, because it was so cringy.
- 5:58I'm like, what is going on here? Because wasn't
- 6:00it at, like, a regular person's house? Yeah,
- 6:03it was a regular person's house who was repetitively
- 6:06having... It was a guy that discovered, quote
- 6:09-unquote, discovered Zozo. And so, I don't know,
- 6:13it was so random and just so different than all
- 6:18of the other episodes. I'm like, what is this?
- 6:21And... i don't it's the the whole time like that
- 6:26that full episode it just felt all so staged
- 6:30to me like ghost adventures like here and there
- 6:35will have that feeling a lot of the times not
- 6:39but that episode particularly felt so staged
- 6:45and so fake to me i'm like I don't like it. I
- 6:49only ever watched it the one time because there
- 6:52was a point in time I did watch Ghost Adventures
- 6:54a lot just because that was what was available
- 6:57to me. And that was the one episode I always
- 7:00skipped because I'm like, this is so lame. I
- 7:04don't know. But it's not lame to other people.
- 7:07No, I know it's not. Because what's very real
- 7:08is that... Very real to some people, yeah. Zozo
- 7:12cases. there may have been like one or two you
- 7:15know because when you have a set amount of i
- 7:18mean this is obvious but there's 26 letters in
- 7:20the alphabet and those are the same letters on
- 7:23the ouija board so you're going to get a combination
- 7:25of letters when you use it so there have been
- 7:28zozo interactions in the past gibberish comes
- 7:32up all the time using spirit boards uh -huh um
- 7:35so not denying that people haven't in the past
- 7:38encountered that combination of letters but since
- 7:41uh the initial story in 2009 2010 came out about
- 7:46zozo and then amplified even more when ghost
- 7:49adventures is their episode there are more cases
- 7:53of zozo uh interactions let's just say since
- 7:592014 in the past decade and there have been in
- 8:04the past century is that a coincidence i I wouldn't
- 8:10think so. Just because when you start talking
- 8:14about something, like it going viral, suddenly
- 8:18it creates a frame of mind in everyone that,
- 8:24oh, this is something that I'm going to encounter.
- 8:27This is something that could happen. And by thinking
- 8:31it, a lot of the times that... Does end up making
- 8:35it happen. I don't know if I'm saying it correctly.
- 8:38It's an egregore situation. Type of thing maybe.
- 8:42That was my counter argument. That was my counter
- 8:44argument. But I don't know. It's just. Something
- 8:49like. If you. Go into a Ouija board session.
- 8:54And you're like. I could encounter Zozo. Whether
- 8:58or not you believe in Ouija boards. Or not. The
- 9:01fact that. The rainbow effect. of like a letter
- 9:05to letter on a Ouija board is like the most common
- 9:08thing to happen it kind of gives you hindsight
- 9:13bias that's what's going to happen and whether
- 9:18you subconsciously realize it or not like your
- 9:22subconscious does play a big factor in using
- 9:24a Ouija board so if you go into it thinking about
- 9:28Zozo like Your brain is automatically, for some
- 9:32reason, going to move, possibly move that planchette
- 9:36from Zio to Zio, back and forth, back and forth.
- 9:40I mean, that's the thing, though, because here,
- 9:42like, we have a Ouija board. Sorry, I was just
- 9:46trying, my microphone has this big, have you
- 9:49been using my microphone, Angela? It has big
- 9:52blonde hair on it. Maybe? Interesting. I mean,
- 10:00we could probably talk about Ouija boards forever.
- 10:03In a whole separate, yeah. It's just interesting
- 10:06because... Who the hell is that? I'm sorry, it
- 10:11was... It's my dad in the background. Did he
- 10:14say, like, who the hell is that? Yeah. Zozo is
- 10:19a Ouija board demon. If Zozo... Even if Zozo
- 10:27never existed... as an entity until all the media
- 10:32attention does zozo exist now because of the
- 10:36amount of people that have very real to them
- 10:41experiences with zozo as an egregore type of
- 10:44situation and an egregore for everyone listening
- 10:47that's like what the hell is this guy talking
- 10:48about I mean, just a quick definition by Mark
- 10:52Stavish, who literally wrote the book on egregores.
- 10:55He says that egregores are, quote, autonomous
- 10:58psychic entities created by a collective group
- 11:00mind sustained by belief. Essentially, it's like
- 11:03a thought entity, a bunch of people believing
- 11:06something in this case. That makes it real. Yep.
- 11:09Makes it real. What are your thoughts? Could
- 11:14Zozo be an egregore? I think it's possible it
- 11:18could be now, but I guess I actually don't know
- 11:22enough about Zozo to actually know. Here's another
- 11:28thought. No, go ahead. Another thought that could
- 11:32be very far -fetched and out there, but could
- 11:36Zozo, could this be of an entity or of a demon,
- 11:41whatever you want to call it, picking up the
- 11:44name of Zozo? So it wasn't Zozo, but it is Zozo
- 11:47now. It identifies as Zozo. So when it comes
- 11:52through, it just uses Zozo. I don't know. I think
- 11:57anything is possible. It's just too hard to tell
- 12:04with Zozo specifically. We're going to move on
- 12:06from Zozo in a minute here, but I think it's
- 12:08just too hard when you have an entity that only
- 12:11shows itself through spirit boards, which are
- 12:13just... pretty unreliable as they are. It's like
- 12:21Brianna said at the top of this, most interactions
- 12:25you have on a spirit board are going to be fueled
- 12:28by subconscious bias. Yeah. There's the, what
- 12:34is it? Idiomoder? I can't remember the word.
- 12:42We tried recording a podcast about Ouija boards
- 12:45a long time ago, and we couldn't pronounce this
- 12:47word. I don't remember it. Essentially, you're
- 12:52moving it without knowing you're moving it. I'll
- 12:57just put a clip in right now of us trying to
- 12:59describe this. There's the theory that Ouija
- 13:03boards aren't actually communicating with spirits,
- 13:06and it's more based psychologically. And that
- 13:11we ourselves, using the planchette, are preemptively
- 13:16creating words or responses to our questions.
- 13:21All in our subconscious mind. Exactly. Your subconscious
- 13:24mind. Answering the questions. Anyways. Now that
- 13:32you're all... But hey, so going back to Agregors.
- 13:38kind of brings us into the next one that we wanted
- 13:42to talk about which is annabelle yeah because
- 13:46i've always thought that annabelle if it is haunted
- 13:50it's because it is now an egregore and that's
- 13:53something you can see beyond just the constraints
- 13:57of you know ouija board spelling out two letters
- 14:00you know so uh we've seen a lot lately With Annabelle.
- 14:09So much lately. Too much lately. Too much lately,
- 14:13unfortunately. If one more person sends me...
- 14:17Love you all, right? Not complaining. But if
- 14:20one more person sends me anything about Matt
- 14:22Reif... Or asks us what we think of Matt Reif...
- 14:27Well, let's answer right now. I don't know anything
- 14:29about this guy. Lucky you. Let's answer right
- 14:34now. How do we feel? about Matt Rife owning Annabelle.
- 14:38Good for him. Good for him. I'm very happy for
- 14:40him. I honestly could not care less. I think
- 14:43it's the best thing that has happened in Annabelle
- 14:47lore lately, and here's why. I firmly believe
- 14:52that Annabelle was never haunted. The whole story
- 14:56is over -exaggerated and full of falsehoods,
- 15:01as most Warren cases tend to be once they get
- 15:04involved. The only paranormal incident to have
- 15:08ever occurred with Annabelle after the Warrens
- 15:10got their hands on the doll was someone tapped
- 15:13the glass on her display and they got in a motorcycle
- 15:18crash. Did they die? Yeah, in a motorcycle crash.
- 15:22Yes. Like later, like later in the day. Nothing
- 15:25to do with Annabelle. And then the Warrens, because
- 15:29they're, you know, they have their... We could
- 15:33literally do a full episode about the Warrens
- 15:36because there's a lot to them. We probably will.
- 15:39Especially with the new movie coming out soon.
- 15:42Yes. They were great marketers and business people,
- 15:46so they hopped on this person's death and exploited
- 15:49it and turned Annabelle into a famous haunted
- 15:55doll. Ed Warren never even believed the doll
- 15:59was haunted. Or had an entity attached to it.
- 16:07Everything that's gone on with the tour is all
- 16:11just media blitz and shenanigans. Not being able
- 16:16to touch the doll, having to wear oven mitts
- 16:17and pray every time you take it out. That's all
- 16:20just fear mongering and making people scared
- 16:22of this doll. When all the rumors started that
- 16:28didn't get dispelled about Annabelle. escaping
- 16:31a city she never even went to. No, she did go
- 16:34to it. Nope. Oh, okay. There were rumors that
- 16:38she like escaped some city and that she was in
- 16:40some city and none of that was true. She had
- 16:44like three tour dates and suddenly you go on
- 16:46TikTok and she's everywhere all at once. We went
- 16:50to a antique store and there was a raggedy and
- 16:52down. People were running out scared thinking
- 16:54it was Annabelle and random Michigan town. That
- 16:58was really funny. It was. But anyways, my point
- 17:03being having to have holy water and have this
- 17:07whole ritual just take out the doll, it's all
- 17:10just so people can take photos of it and spread
- 17:13fear surrounding this doll. Yeah. And with that,
- 17:16with the fear and everything that's perpetuated
- 17:19around Annabelle and has been for so long, for
- 17:22so many years since the Warrens started it, it
- 17:26has turned into... potentially something more
- 17:29whether we know that's true or not but that's
- 17:34my belief i think i think uh people yeah now
- 17:39that annabelle's out on this tour people are
- 17:41having legitimate experiences with her that they
- 17:44never had before and it's all because of this
- 17:46fear everywhere it goes fear fear fear all those
- 17:49people scared of annabelle people are scared
- 17:51to even watch a new country movie yeah did you
- 17:54see how There's like an actual priest that's
- 17:57like blessing people before watching it was holy
- 18:01water. No. With a screening or something. I don't
- 18:05know. Something like that. Which is insane. That's
- 18:10fear factor right there. That's the way to scare
- 18:12people. Uh -huh. You see, we post anything on
- 18:15TikTok now. And I post like a picture of a Raggedy
- 18:21Ann doll. like a random one like I think it was
- 18:24like and they say sorry no but yeah yeah yeah
- 18:27but like what's the other Andy raggedy Andy it
- 18:31was a raggedy Andy so it wasn't even like oh
- 18:34okay from like the movie or anything like yeah
- 18:37there's no Andy in the conjuring universe but
- 18:40yeah all people do is comment sorry sorry sorry
- 18:43exactly yeah like sorry for looking in your eyes
- 18:46all these people are so scared this isn't the
- 18:49real doll it's okay It's okay. His name is Andy.
- 18:56Andy's not haunted. Andy's not haunted. We love
- 19:00Andy. We all like Andy. Andy, if you're out there,
- 19:05thank you. Let's have an Andy on our podcast.
- 19:10Can we have an Andy? We need to find an Andy.
- 19:16We need to find an Andy. If your name is Andy,
- 19:21let us know. Oh, my God. Our Halloween episode.
- 19:25I don't know why I said Halloween episode. Our
- 19:31Halloween episode of this show should be all
- 19:37about our favorite Halloween candy that we discussed
- 19:40with our favorite Halloween Andy. Halloween Andy.
- 19:46Oh my gosh. Anyways, enough of the bits. Back
- 19:51to Matt Reif. Everything we have said about Annabelle
- 19:58being perpetuated by fear and all these... Something
- 20:04about a flask now? I just heard a man talking
- 20:11on a flask. We hear your father talking. I'm
- 20:13sorry. You're good, you're good. It's always
- 20:17something really random. Is he, like, right over
- 20:20your shoulder? No, he's all the way out in the
- 20:22other room. You have a good -ass microphone.
- 20:26I guess so. Wow. Ben, you got really good microphones.
- 20:32No wonder you keep stealing mine. Anywho. Anywho.
- 20:39Ever since the Warrens had Annabelle, it's all
- 20:42been fear, fear, fear. Let's throw holy water
- 20:45on this thing. Let's not touch her. Because according
- 20:48to the one paranormal experience that ever happened
- 20:51around her, no one touched her. They tapped glass.
- 20:55But still, somehow that means that you can't
- 20:59touch the doll, otherwise you'll get possessed.
- 21:01Because Ed Warren said he didn't believe the
- 21:04doll was possessed. But still, you can get possessed
- 21:07if you don't wear... oven mitts somehow let's
- 21:11propel this fear you get my point it's all fear
- 21:15so now a comedian owning this doll is the best
- 21:19thing to ever fucking happen i think it is look
- 21:23at it there's a comedian who owns annabelle maybe
- 21:28he can put some like fun and joy into the doll
- 21:31instead of just fear constantly exactly because
- 21:35if If you are worried about Annabelle, the only
- 21:40reason you are worried about Annabelle is because
- 21:42so many people are also worried about Annabelle.
- 21:45Yeah. And then if you think about it, this thing
- 21:49was created by putting fear into it. The way
- 21:55to reverse that spell, so to speak, is to put
- 21:59laughter and good vibes into it. You can create.
- 22:06any egregore you want you can create an egregore
- 22:08of uh and you can create an andy egregore if
- 22:13you just put andy vibes out in the universe i'm
- 22:15sure andy isn't the new kirk doing it with ramen
- 22:19yeah the new kirks they're making haunted ramen
- 22:23yes and someone when we went to their show they
- 22:28showed a video Of someone getting a knock within
- 22:31their ramen container. We were all freaking out
- 22:35about that. You can make an egregore out of anything.
- 22:39Even freaking ramen noodles. You can put Andy
- 22:42in your ramen noodles. And he can knock back
- 22:45to you. Okay. If you eat egregore ramen noodles,
- 22:53does that make you haunted? Oh my god. That's
- 22:58so much. Because, I don't know, I eat a lot of
- 23:02ramen noodles. Did you try talking to it? No.
- 23:07To see if it was haunted? No, now I'm concerned.
- 23:14Okay, so we need to do the Newkirk's experiment
- 23:18with the ramen. Let's make our ramen haunted
- 23:21and we're going to name it Andy. Sure. Okay.
- 23:29Yes. And then what are we going to do with said
- 23:31Andy Roman? He's going to be part of our little
- 23:36mini traveling museum. Huh? Yes. So we're going
- 23:46to take the Newkirk's bit and just make it our
- 23:51own because we want to have a pet rock that's
- 23:55edible. No, no. Not a rock. Ramen. Ramen, yes.
- 24:00So we're taking the idea of a pet rock, making
- 24:03it not only edible... Why are you saying rock?
- 24:06The idea of a pet rock. We all had pet rocks
- 24:09as a kid. But the thing is, these pet rocks...
- 24:12I don't think I ever had a pet rock as a kid.
- 24:13You never had a pet rock? No, I never had a pet
- 24:16rock. Kids that talk to rocks as kids tend to
- 24:20grow up to be ghost hunters. Cool. Then what
- 24:24does that make me? I can't believe that. An anomaly.
- 24:27Did you have an invisible friend? No. I never
- 24:34had an invisible friend. No, I never had an invisible
- 24:38or imaginary friend. I never had a pet rock.
- 24:42You just went to college and it was like, now's
- 24:45the time to start talking to the air. I mean,
- 24:48I guess. That really did it for you, huh? I love
- 24:55that. I mean, no, I like watched ghost, like
- 24:59ghost hunting shows before that. That's how I
- 25:02got to the ghost. I know. I'm just, I'm just
- 25:04pulling your leg. It's like most people when
- 25:06they're kids, they talk to rocks and now we're
- 25:08like full on serious about talking to ramen.
- 25:10Let's talk to ramen now. Yeah. No, no. You know,
- 25:13I do have a quail named ramen. I love that. You
- 25:16could just throw her in a crate and we can talk
- 25:18to her. Sure. It'd be easier. It's already living.
- 25:25that's true go for it go for it um thank you
- 25:31new perks we're now naming our ramen andy it's
- 25:37life -changing now now i get why people like
- 25:40say grace and like stuff before they eat because
- 25:43like get the wrong ramen noodles and you thank
- 25:47god for the you know that you're about to eat
- 25:49this meal then you just hear no don't eat me
- 25:52my name is andy I have a child. What? I didn't
- 26:02do nothing, I swear. I'm so confused. Oh, maybe
- 26:07I'll stick to yakisoba instead of ramen. Hey,
- 26:10that stuff is good. It is. Oh, God. We started
- 26:15talking. Oh, my God. What were we even talking
- 26:18about again? This is how we get to three hours.
- 26:20Because we start talking about... When demons
- 26:23go viral on social media, and now we're talking
- 26:26about naming our ramen noodles Andy. Wait, where
- 26:35did Andy even come from? Wait. Raggedy Andy.
- 26:40Raggedy Andy. Okay. Oh my god. It's too much.
- 26:44Too much. What's the topic tonight? Good question.
- 26:50Angelo. Ramen noodles. Did we explain this bit
- 26:53or are we just going to leave it unexplained?
- 26:56I don't know. Did we? We might have on the last
- 26:59one. I don't know. Angela. Oh yeah, I think we
- 27:03did. Cause the last one was your literal like
- 27:05idea of a topic and you still didn't know. I
- 27:08know. Yes. The curse one. Yes. Every single day
- 27:14leading up to it, we were talking about it and
- 27:16it's like, wait, what's the topic and what's
- 27:18the topic. When is it? An hour before we recorded
- 27:23the podcast. I was like, wait, what's the topic
- 27:25again? It's bad. It's bad. One day. One day.
- 27:33Back to the topic. I think it goes two ways.
- 27:39I'm curious what you guys think of this. When
- 27:43paranormal entities go viral, because there's
- 27:47also... an elephant in the room that we haven't
- 27:49discussed yet which is a lot of these things
- 27:50like zozo you're never supposed to even say its
- 27:53name because you know a lot of people theorize
- 27:57that words and especially names give these entities
- 28:01power yes people are going to think zozo is in
- 28:04our apartment now because we keep saying it yes
- 28:07over and over so when it when something goes
- 28:10viral and there's millions of people saying the
- 28:14name of this entity is it making it stronger
- 28:17Is it creating something that didn't exist before
- 28:21as an egregore type of thought form entity? Or
- 28:24is it a bunch of people now scared of something
- 28:31they saw in a creepy video and now that it's
- 28:35in their subconscious because it's literally
- 28:37trending and unavoidable, are they now adding
- 28:41to the legend by experiencing something? That's,
- 28:47you know, subconsciously just on their mind at
- 28:51the time. A combination of these things? All
- 28:56these things? None of these things? The world
- 28:59may never know. I'm reminded of how many licks
- 29:05does it take to get to the center of it. Yeah,
- 29:07that's exactly what I was referencing. How many
- 29:10tweets does it take to get to the center of the
- 29:15zozo? What? What do you say? Nevermind. The Tweety
- 29:22Pop? Yes. Did you just say Tweety Pop? Yes. I
- 29:31feel like that's probably something very bad.
- 29:34How many tweets does it take to get to the center
- 29:35of the Tweety Pop? Are they still called tweets
- 29:40if it's X now? What are they called? I'm just
- 29:44gonna shut up. I don't know. I don't have...
- 29:50I've never had Twitter or now X or whatever it's
- 29:54called. I don't know. But I tried looking up
- 29:57Tweety Pop and all that Google because they have
- 30:00their AI overviews now. So stupid. They are suggesting
- 30:04that I meant to look up a Tweety Bird Funko Pop
- 30:08from Looney Tunes. So I don't think it's a thing.
- 30:13However, I don't like the way Tweety Pop sounds.
- 30:17I just need to stop distracting you guys with
- 30:21my nonsense. You can't! Even I'm just trying
- 30:24to talk normally and I'm finding your hair is
- 30:26all over my microphone. Sounds like a personal
- 30:29issue to me. But you're just like, even if I'm
- 30:32not talking, he will be distracted when he talks.
- 30:37I'm constantly distracted because I have a dog
- 30:39who's doing dumb shit next to me. Oh, gosh. So
- 30:46I completely did not actually hear anything you
- 30:49just said, so let's move on. Yeah. Let's move
- 30:51on. Let's go back to the topic. Anywho. No Tweety
- 30:55Pops. No Tweety Pops. No Tweety Pops. Never say
- 30:58it again. I want to erase this from my memory.
- 31:03But if you say Tweety Pops enough times. During
- 31:07a Ouija board session, people are going to encounter
- 31:10the Tweety Pops demon. Yes, Tweety Pops. Hey,
- 31:15we're talking about... Would it fully spell out
- 31:17Tweety Pops or would it just be X over and over
- 31:20and over and over again? I was going to say TP,
- 31:25but that's also like toilet paper. TP, TP, TP.
- 31:30Oh no, a ghost is going to TP my house. But like,
- 31:34this is the thing. We always choose to like...
- 31:37i mean anyone listening to the podcast at this
- 31:39point knows we're just like having fun at this
- 31:40point and just enjoying life and doing this and
- 31:44we're serious when we need to be but overall
- 31:47kind of light -hearted and that's kind of going
- 31:49into the egregore stuff you know because the
- 31:54way an egregore works it's all about it's kind
- 31:56of like manifesting in a way kind of like you
- 31:59put if you put all this fear into this word zozo
- 32:04if you put so much fear into it and you constantly
- 32:07constantly think about how it's a demon and it
- 32:10has ill intent and it's gonna harm your life
- 32:13you're gonna and then anything bad that happens
- 32:16since kind of like we were talking about curses
- 32:17anything bad that happens after a ouija board
- 32:19session you blame on zozo that gives it power
- 32:22that's a mindset thing but like i was trying
- 32:26to get at with the whole matt rife a comedian
- 32:29owning annabelle if this turns into a bunch of
- 32:33Fun TikTok videos. Hey, look at me and my new
- 32:36doll type of thing. And a bunch of bits and stuff.
- 32:41It's all about intent and mindset. If everyone
- 32:44loves Annabelle and has a good time with Annabelle,
- 32:48whatever is haunting her, be it a demon that
- 32:52originated back when the Warrens got her or a
- 32:55terrible bad egregore that's feared now, whatever
- 32:59is the cause. That should get reversed, right?
- 33:04Potentially. But also potentially not. Who knows?
- 33:08Who knows? But it's better to put good vibes
- 33:12and joy and laughter into Annabelle than it is
- 33:17to put fear into Annabelle. I think we can agree
- 33:20on that. Yeah. Yep. Because if this idea is true
- 33:24of a Negragor, and that Annabelle specifically
- 33:28is Negragor, If it's true or not, there's no
- 33:33point in putting fear into this doll or to contribute
- 33:39to the mass hysteria. It is really what it is
- 33:43every time an entity goes viral. Zozo, the amount
- 33:47of people that claim their lives were ruined
- 33:49because they believe they encountered Zozo and
- 33:52then they attribute every bad thing that happened
- 33:54since to Zozo. It's better just to, you know,
- 34:00think critically and take a step back and don't
- 34:05contribute to the hype and the hysteria, I'd
- 34:07say. Yeah. I think that is a good sentiment.
- 34:12Yeah. Do you guys have any final thoughts regarding
- 34:15viral, what happens when a demon goes viral or
- 34:19an entity goes viral? No, not really. Like, I
- 34:24think... Zozo and Annabelle are the two major
- 34:27big ones in the public eye, especially Annabelle
- 34:33right now. Yeah. I just feel like people need
- 34:37to learn how to just chill out and realize not
- 34:42everything on social media is real. If someone
- 34:46claims, oh, there's this new entity or demon
- 34:50that they encountered, that maybe they're just
- 34:52saying it. It's not really real, so don't just...
- 34:54jump to conclusions but that's a real thing too
- 34:58you know yeah i mean like think about it like
- 35:02how many years ago was slenderman a thing and
- 35:05that originated as like a creepypasta sort of
- 35:08thing and out of like out of the woodworks there
- 35:12was all of these people having experiences or
- 35:14like because of that one unfortunate case with
- 35:18the teenagers um And I haven't, I don't think
- 35:23I've heard anything about Slenderman in, like,
- 35:26a while. Five years. Yeah. At least. Been a hot
- 35:29minute. So, I don't know. Just, things come and
- 35:34go. And I don't think if you put the thought
- 35:37and energy into it, it's gonna keep being that
- 35:43bad or hold any power. So. Well, that's an interesting
- 35:48thought, too. And this is, like, potentially
- 35:49a tangent that. We should come back to it later
- 35:52because there's no way we're going to fully talk
- 35:55about this in the time we have left. But when
- 35:57it comes to, like, legends and that kind of stuff,
- 36:01I'm thinking about, like, Bloody Mary that you
- 36:04say in the mirror. Yeah. The amount of times,
- 36:07you know, kids say Bloody Mary. Brianna, you
- 36:11didn't have a pet rock or imaginary friend, but
- 36:13did you ever do Bloody Mary in the mirror as
- 36:14a kid? No. Most other kids. Angela, I almost
- 36:19called you Annabelle. Angela, did you? No, honestly,
- 36:23because I was kind of too scared to ever do it.
- 36:25Yeah, same. I'm like, what happened if it's real?
- 36:29Okay, but that's my point. So kids either, you
- 36:36guys both knew Bloody Mary, even if you didn't
- 36:38do it. Kids either do Bloody Mary as a kid. Or
- 36:44they're too scared to do Bloody Mary as a kid.
- 36:48I was too scared. Yes. Did you play Bloody Mary
- 36:51as a kid? I did once and nothing happened, so
- 36:53that's my story. Why is no one talking about
- 37:00the Bloody Mary egregore that's going around?
- 37:06It's just interesting to me, this whole talk
- 37:08about egregore, and I just thought of this now.
- 37:11So it's not a really fleshed out or full thought.
- 37:13Well, isn't the difference that people know that
- 37:16Bloody Mary is plainly just a game? They don't.
- 37:20You were too scared to do it. You thought Bloody
- 37:23Mary was real. That's so true. Yeah. Well, I'm
- 37:25just, yeah. How is, you know, is this like the
- 37:28new version of Bloody Mary? Like when we were
- 37:31kids. And everyone knows about Bloody Mary. Is
- 37:33Zozo going viral on Twitter, the new version
- 37:36of it? People either use the Ouija board to contact
- 37:39Zozo or they're too scared to do so. And kids
- 37:43will tell all these great tales of like, you
- 37:46know, Bloody Mary came to me in the mirror. I
- 37:49saw her and, you know, just hazing type of stuff
- 37:52that kids do to each other, you know. Is this
- 37:56like the adult version of it? And is it that
- 37:59we're now adults? I don't know. It's weird. Because
- 38:05then they say, too, that, like, poltergeists,
- 38:07you know, are often created from children or
- 38:11kids, you know, teenagers, you know, specifically
- 38:13during, like, puberty and that time of their
- 38:15life. So, do you need... When you're a kid, does
- 38:23it not fully... Again, I'm not phrasing this
- 38:26good because it's just coming to my head now,
- 38:28but do you need to be a teenager to then... If
- 38:31teenagers create poltergeists, do you need to
- 38:33become a teenager or an adult to then create
- 38:35egregores? Does it not work as a kid? Good question.
- 38:40That's a good question, yeah. I bet if a bunch
- 38:44of adults got together, this might be fun, a
- 38:46bunch of adults. Oh, but imagine what havoc that
- 38:50would cause if a bunch of adults got together
- 38:52and fully believed in Bloody Mary and did it
- 38:54and created a real Bloody Mary egregore. Then
- 38:57you'd have kids legitimately experiencing it
- 38:59every time they did it. Yeah. Imagine that. Yeah.
- 39:05Yeah. But. Okay. Conspiracy. Conspiracy. Can't
- 39:10say it. Can't say it. Conspiracy. What? Conspiracy.
- 39:16God. Okay. But Bloody Mary does become real.
- 39:23And there is an actual ghost that comes out of
- 39:26the mirror and, like, kills you or whatever.
- 39:30I feel like somehow it would be covered up, you
- 39:34know? By who? The men in black? You never know
- 39:42something. Okay, how about bringing it all home?
- 39:48We're talking about putting good vibes and good
- 39:51egregores, right? Instead of Bloody Mary, saying
- 39:55it five times in a mirror? I think it's just
- 39:59three times. Just three? Yeah, three times. Okay.
- 40:01But you have to spin each time. Isn't that a
- 40:05thing? Yeah, I think you have to... You're the
- 40:09only one who's played it, Ben. Yes. Well, maybe
- 40:12this is why nothing happened. I didn't spin.
- 40:14Yeah, maybe you just plainly didn't do it right.
- 40:17Maybe. But anyways, what if we look in a mirror,
- 40:20spin around three times, And say, Andy. Andy.
- 40:25Andy. And then we... Bloody Andy. Bloody Andy.
- 40:29No, just Andy. We just want Andy. Oh, just Andy.
- 40:33We'll finally find our Andy. Looking back at
- 40:38us in our reflection, because he was a part of
- 40:40us all along. He traveled from the ramen to the
- 40:45mirror. Oh, goodness gracious. I feel like in
- 40:59my head, there was like an amazing like full
- 41:02circle just ending that we did. But I feel like
- 41:05for everyone else, even you, Brie, you're like,
- 41:08no. No. It was something. What is this podcast?
- 41:14I don't even know. Well, we're looking at hashtags
- 41:17through Paranormal Lens. So we're looking at
- 41:20things going viral. Because we can't talk. We're
- 41:25not people to talk about going viral because
- 41:27we don't go viral. We would never go viral. I
- 41:33mean, we had a few videos that go viral before
- 41:36we deleted everything, but then we're not like
- 41:40a constant viral. We don't go with the trendy
- 41:43stuff to make us go viral. Yeah, because we're
- 41:47not influencers. We're filmmakers. heck yeah
- 41:51like real real films we're the real deal yes
- 41:56we make real films that actually like go in film
- 42:00festivals and shit we don't we're not like the
- 42:02instagram bio filmmaker who doesn't own a camera
- 42:06or editing software and has never made a film
- 42:09in their life there's too many of those in the
- 42:10paranormal field self -proclaimed filmmakers
- 42:13the woes of being a real filmmaker in a niche
- 42:17genre where everyone claims these days They are
- 42:21a TikToking filmmaker. Owning an iPhone and a
- 42:28CapCut doesn't make you a filmmaker. Yeah. I
- 42:33don't know. There's some pretty good clips out
- 42:36there that some people can make with CapCut.
- 42:39There are. There are. But anyways, I digress.
- 42:42You're a clip maker. You can make clips. You
- 42:44can make clips. We're not about the clips getting
- 42:47clicks. We're about... We're about making long
- 42:50-form communication and content that really speaks
- 42:56and tells stories. I mean, it's nice when the
- 42:58clips get clicks, but... Yeah. Yeah. Except when
- 43:02they turn... It makes me feel special, okay,
- 43:05Ben? Okay, but what if you feeling special creates
- 43:11a demon that didn't exist prior? You gotta really
- 43:17think about what he put on the internet. That's
- 43:19the only thing. If this is real, the implications
- 43:23here, you gotta think about what he put on the
- 43:26internet. Because you never know what goes viral.
- 43:30If there's an innocent story about, you know,
- 43:33same as like Dybbuk boxes. Dybbuk boxes were
- 43:37a hoax. Yep. Flat out lie. But now everyone believes
- 43:41they're real. So, is it... It's crazy that on
- 43:49these platforms now, you have to tell TikTok
- 43:53if what you're posting is AI -generated content,
- 43:56but you don't need to tell them if it's a hoax
- 44:00about a demon that could create an egregore.
- 44:05What's the difference between an AI -generated
- 44:08image that looks real or an egregore -generated
- 44:11demon? I don't have a response for that. I mean,
- 44:19I know there's a difference. I'm just saying,
- 44:20theoretically, there's implications here. Angela's
- 44:28literally yawning and everyone saw her just give
- 44:33the biggest yawn. She's like, what a fucking
- 44:35snooze fest. Did you miss my yawn like two seconds
- 44:38ago? You did a normal yawn. Mine was very obnoxious.
- 44:45Oh my god. Anyway. Like how Andy transfers from
- 44:55ramen to the mirror. It's contagious. I hope
- 45:01I catch a case of Andy. I do not want to catch
- 45:05a case of Andy. Thank you very much. I do. I
- 45:09want to experience Andy. I want to see what he's
- 45:11like. On that note, thank you everyone for listening
- 45:16to this very eye -opening snoozefest of an episode
- 45:20as two of my co -hosts would have already visibly
- 45:26and audibly expressed. I have nothing else to
- 45:31say about this topic. For now. For now. We'll
- 45:36come back to it for two more hours. Yes. So,
- 45:40to all the ladies, gentlemen, and Andes out there
- 45:43that enjoyed this, every five -star rating or
- 45:48positive review makes Brenda feel special and
- 45:52brings us one algorithm blip closer to finding
- 45:57our real Andy. I feel like we're adopted children.
- 46:02Like, our Andy isn't the real Andy. We need to
- 46:05find our real biological Andy. If you're out
- 46:08there, Andy. Andy, if you're out there, we want
- 46:13to find you through a paranormal lens. If I ever
- 46:16have a son, his name's going to be Andy. If you
- 46:20ever have a son, I hope I know about it. Andy,
- 46:26you're definitely not naming him after a ramen
- 46:30demon. Okay. Do you know how terrible Andy...
- 46:41Andy Ramen Demon Goldman sounds terrible? I think
- 46:47it sounds pretty good. Anyway, people... Imagine
- 46:50having the middle name Ramen. That would be great.
- 46:53What are you talking about? Oh, the initials
- 47:01would be A -R -G. ARG. ARG. ARG. Anyways, we're
- 47:10signing off. Good night! Or have a good day,
- 47:14ladies and Andes. I hope you enjoyed our podcast.
- 47:17Ladies and Andes! To all the Annabelle's and
- 47:21Andes out there. Please come back and listen
- 47:24to our next one. I promise there will be no Andes.
- 47:30Okay, stop talking! Let them go about their lives!
- 47:34Arrgh! Arrgh! Bye! Bye!
