Transcript
- 0:00Well, bad news. McDonald's is claiming that by the end of the year
- 0:07twenty thirty two, Amanda, which is only nine short years away. Okay,
- 0:10they plan to phase out their self serve drink stations from their restaurants in
- 0:15the United States. Who goes into fast food restaurants really anymore? Well,
- 0:19that's your point. But nonetheless, people are just sitting there getting fun guy,
- 0:25fun guy. What I'm a fun guy. I've always wondered about that
- 0:31because how often are they getting It's gotta be just gross. The company wants
- 0:35to ensure a uniform, a uniform experience for customers and crew members across all
- 0:39the ways of ordering, including their Mick delivery, their app. They're in
- 0:43their Mick Kiosk drive through and inside the restaurant, a lot of different ways
- 0:48to consumer McDonald's nowadays. As you know, I'm an exclusive member of the
- 0:52app. And you notice if you're in the drive through, because I've been
- 0:55through that a couple times too. But you know, they drinks what,
- 0:59Yeah, Like they got a machine that like just automatically filling them. Because
- 1:03it's it's pure chaos, right, you get up there, they don't know
- 1:06whose drink is, who's it's spitting out diet cokes like crazy. And the
- 1:10other day I went through and I ordered a water, and then I try
- 1:14not to get frustrated in these situations. It was a bottle, right,
- 1:15No, no, the free glass of water. I'm a cheap skate.
- 1:19I'm surprised they even do that. So that throws them off because I didn't
- 1:22order it on the app. I ordered it when I got to the window,
- 1:25so that like screws up the whole system. And the woman working she
- 1:27had like a diet coke that was just sitting there, like an extra one,
- 1:30and so she goes, can I get a water? And instead of
- 1:34a water, she hands me a big giant diet coke and I go,
- 1:37well, no, I would ask for a water, and she goes,
- 1:40no, I know we don't have one, but here you go, like,
- 1:42what do you mean? Here you go. That's a big thing,
- 1:45that's like a leader of cold. It's not gonna lie what it's not achieving
- 1:49what I'd like to achieve. And she just I'm like I finally stopped arguing.
- 1:53I'm like, Okay, I guess I'm drinking a giant thing a diet
- 1:56coke. Yeah, it's it's interesting how a lot of these places are making
- 2:00you type in like the automation of your meals and what you're doing and all
- 2:02that. It's just, what do you mean it's exhausting? Well, like,
- 2:06yeah, subway down the road, Yeah, you know it's they drive
- 2:07through. They don't even take your order. You have to manually put it
- 2:10in. I don't know why. It's frustrating me. It is, yeah,
- 2:13And well the screen doesn't work. If anybody who works at the subway
- 2:15in twenty fifth Street is listening that touch screen is not working, it's just
- 2:20I'm like sin, they're pounding, like hammering my fingers. I know I
- 2:23was. When we head to the Lakes, usually we'll stop and grab like
- 2:25a sub or whatever, and I try to get my husband to get everything
- 2:29here and Fargo, and then he'll stop at the one in Holly and that's
- 2:30the only subway that's like on the way. Yeah, and he'll be sitting
- 2:35and it feels like you're sitting there for an hour because I'm ready to be
- 2:37on the lake, Like, let's go, and he's like then he's like
- 2:40yelling at it, getting mad about it. Just go in, like I
- 2:46can't handle this thing. I can't subbilly drive through was always a bit of
- 2:50a gong show. What then you think about it too? And how frustrating
- 2:53because people, Oh, I want everything, but do yet? No,
- 2:55you want everything, but I actually don't want ten of these things? Right?
- 3:00Did you ever bet? Speaking of McDonald's getting rid of their self serve
- 3:02soda machines by they promised by the twenty thirty two, like this seems a
- 3:07little premature to get rid of it next year. I mean, am I
- 3:09gonna I'll hit panic co mode in eight years? But you remember when you're
- 3:13growing up and you would make the Oh yeah, I called him Comma cazes,
- 3:17Oh nice, which I don't think that's any better if we're being politically
- 3:21correct. I don't know. Oh, I just remember concoctions so you can
- 3:24cut like different, but yeah, and all you could taste was the root
- 3:29beer, no matter what, no matter how many things you put in there,
- 3:30the root beer stood. And I still if there's ever an automated machine
- 3:35I make my kids because they always like sprite or lemonade, and I mix
- 3:38sprite and lemonade together. Oh it's so good? Or what else? What's
- 3:42like? What do they make? Remembering your kid? And you'd go and
- 3:45you order at Shirley Temple. What's in that spright grenadine? And that's it?
- 3:50Oh, that's it. Yeah, they don't have grenadine and soda machine.
- 3:53Nope, they definitely don't. Nope. But they do this thing now
- 3:55called cherry go gabine. That's not the same kind of cherry coke, is
- 4:01not, Amanda? Oh no, what's the other one? I'm thinking of
- 4:05a Roy Rogers? You remember Roy Rock? Did you used to dated kind
- 4:13named Roy Rogers? Don't crazy, I don't remember. You sound like your
- 4:21four thousand My grandmy used to drink Roy Rogers. Somebody look that up.
- 4:33What is that it is? Roy Rogers is Gola and Grenadian with a marriage,
- 4:41you know, cherry. So Roy Rogers decided that they were gonna take
- 4:50advantage of Roy and they made their own. I haven't had a bottle of
- 4:57rif you know, maybe we ought to go out and have a couple of
- 5:01Royal Rodgers. Oh my gosh, like you I can in the morning,
- 5:11big nutty eight point seven. So yesterday it happened. What is it?
- 5:17Mulder and Scully are they should be on the case that they're not because Amanda
- 5:24a pair of supposed alien corpses have been unveiled at an official event in Mexico.
- 5:30This is not some internet nonsense. Okay, this is You're gonna hear
- 5:33a lot about this because we finally have physical proof of alien corpses. Now.
- 5:39These two non human corpses are believed to be a thousand years old.
- 5:43Okay. The bodies were presented during a congressional hearing in Mexico City. All
- 5:48right, so this is very official. And why are we doing this in
- 5:50Mexico City because I believe that's where they found them. Journalists and UFO ologist,
- 5:57which is a thing. Now, Jamie massa On, he says that
- 6:00these are specimens that are not part of our terrestrial evolution. These aren't beings
- 6:04that were found after UFO records. They were found in algae minds and later
- 6:10fossilized. Okay, so this isn't like some you know, Area of fifty
- 6:14one. Got it. So you're saying bodies, So do they have fingies
- 6:17and legs and toes? Let me show you. And I know we're on
- 6:20the radio so he can't see this, but come look at this. Boy,
- 6:23Oh my gosh, that is like a real alien like out of Independence
- 6:27Day. This is where the early depictions of aliens come from. Like this
- 6:30is literally it. This looks like ET, which also makes me a little
- 6:33suspicious maybe it's not real. There's like US representatives there, that head Navy
- 6:38guy that's like kind of leading the charge with all the other stuff that's coming
- 6:41out UFO videos and whatnot. Like he was there, Pike, what is
- 6:46this website with these pictures? I feel like you are legitimately on et dot
- 6:49com. It's like a Drew Barry was like, oh he was in Look
- 6:55there's video here these guys unveiling these corpses in Congress. But this is not
- 7:00just some underground basement get together. Are they green too? I mean they've
- 7:04lost their color, but you have to assume at one point they were neon
- 7:08green yep. I mean I'm trying not to like make light of it because
- 7:15I'm sure it's really serious. You gotta be one of the last ones not
- 7:17taking the seriously. I mean, it's humiliating to be on the show.
- 7:21I'm out with my kids just strolling like, oh hey, what's that thing,
- 7:26or just laughing as they're just invading the area. You're just gonna be
- 7:30going ah, This is what Pike was talking about. These times guys et
- 7:33phone home and then they just immediately get into obduct to me. Yeah,
- 7:39if you're being so jokey about it, and let me talk about that.
- 7:42So how would they go about abducting you? Because I look like I'm two
- 7:46of them. So you're saying you can take them? What you're suggesting?
- 7:50Or is this where the light beam comes down and they beam me up?
- 7:55And I just imagine your kids and breaks just looking as you get sucked up
- 7:59into it, a big ufo going what happened the mommy and Nick having to
- 8:03explain to them that you just were a little un serious. It was not
- 8:07a believer in the morning. Are you feeling a little dull and you need
- 8:13to steam it up in your relationship? I mean, this is just a
- 8:18classic You hear this, and don't you just get getty like, hey,
- 8:22honey, Yeah, I know it's an old, old dude, but it
- 8:24never gets old, No, of course it does. Yeah, I feel
- 8:28like it's been in so many commercials. It feels like anyway, this is
- 8:31not a Marvin Gabe a conversation, moving getting job. If you're feeling like
- 8:37your relationship could use some spicing up. I have five hints or five tips
- 8:41that will surely get you back on track, Like number five, own your
- 8:45own happiness. You know, without knowing it, you might be taking out
- 8:48your life concerns on your partners. So addressing these frustrations will take pressure off
- 8:52your relationship. Man, that's a really good one. You know. It's
- 8:56like they say, a man, you can't let someone else until you truly
- 9:01love yourself for sure, amen. Number four, compliment more than complain.
- 9:05If something genuinely upsets you, sure you can complain, but make sure that's
- 9:09not the only time you share your feelings with your mate. Yeah, and
- 9:11being naggy and doing all that. I get that. I go through stages
- 9:15sometimes where I feel like I'll even catch myself. I'm like, Okay,
- 9:18Icky, sorry, you know I love you. I don't know why I'm
- 9:20yeah, And we all go through those little hills and valleys, right,
- 9:26no doubt, this is an interesting one. I feel like you're you're planning
- 9:30on doing it after our conversation this weekend. But spend less time together kind
- 9:35of goes against the grain a little bit. But you know it might sound
- 9:37counterintuitive, but spending too much time with a partner can make you stop feeling
- 9:41desired. You know, you're just kind of there. Yes, whenever my
- 9:43husband goes away or does something for work, or goes deer hunting with the
- 9:48guys, and they're like, gosh, I really miss having you around because
- 9:52otherwise it's like, oh, you're here again tonight. I'm just kidding.
- 9:56Wait, were you just here yesterday? No, it's I understand. That's
- 10:01why my wife, Laurence, she's such a fan of me, like being
- 10:03in a band and golfing NonStop. Going in again on a golf trip this
- 10:09weekend. We actually just had a little side combobo. How maybe you need
- 10:11to be home a little bit more pipe right, But it sounds like you
- 10:13say, it sounds like you know, I need to be home less.
- 10:18I don't think so. We just I think you've got that one doubt lockdown.
- 10:22How about the number two flirt? You gotta flirt you want to make
- 10:26things not dull. Flirting can make you feel attractive, make your partner feel
- 10:31desired, you know, give your guy Amanda write this down. Give your
- 10:33guy a knowing look while you're brushing your teeth, or touch his arm while
- 10:37you're chatting about your day. Maybe give him a little wink mid conversation.
- 10:43Even better, have a makeout sess during a movie. Wow, my goodness,
- 10:48are you doing any of those? The toothbrush thing that's interesting to me.
- 10:52I feel like I'd spit my truthpaste down if I did anything to be
- 10:54like a little, a little knowing if I was going to be sexual during
- 10:58brushing my teeth. It's like, oh it is. It is sexual by
- 11:01nature brushing your teeth. There's nothing more disgusting. And then when you just
- 11:05spit it like no, when we spit it out, or you know,
- 11:09you brush your tongue and you drinking the night, grow up growth in the
- 11:13Sink's nothing more attractive than that. Hey, bab let's hut. Oh my
- 11:20gosh, that's hilarious. And the number one way if you have a dull
- 11:24relationship to revive it is don't go to bed mad or annoyed. For that
- 11:30matter. I feel like the mad thing because you know, here on this
- 11:31scientific tip it says resentment can build and you might wake up irritated and you
- 11:35don't even remember why. But I'm like, that's the thing. Just going
- 11:39to bed you wake up it's like, oh, what was really done?
- 11:41It feels really stupid. Yeah, I agree on that. In some regards,
- 11:45it depends on what the situation is. Sometimes it's like no, I
- 11:46don't I want to discuss this, it's that important. But otherwise, yeah,
- 11:50if it's just a stupid especially even drinking, of course, like it's
- 11:54like just go to bed, just wake up, like I'm look at each
- 11:56other, go sorry, laugh it off and move on one hundred percent exactly.
- 12:01But that is always the number one thing. Even when like people get
- 12:05married and they ask for advice, so they do, it's always like,
- 12:07just never go to bed mad. I don't know why. I know,
- 12:11yeah, you know, if you write notes to the couple or whatever,
- 12:13it's like every single one, it's like, okay, got it, got
- 12:16it guys. Oh thanks Grandma June. You know you got it. But
- 12:20you got a divorce. That's so weird. How many times did you go
- 12:22to bed mad June? For example, I don't really know what happened to
- 12:28Grandma June in the morning. You ready ready? That's he is type and
- 12:35hot today, No, Amanda stills that sea let's see brought to you by
- 12:43Park Company Real Tours. Man. They had everybody worked up and yesterday I
- 12:48thought, hang on a second, am I gonna have to watch the MTV
- 12:52Video Music Awards because it has been a long time. And I did give
- 12:56it a peak last night, but only to watch a boogie with a hoodie
- 12:58and that's when I tap doubt. So you're a fan on you But at
- 13:01that point I went, I've never felt more old in my life. Yeah,
- 13:07it was just it was crazy, but I think did reunite. This
- 13:11is the first time since twenty eighteen that they were even on the same stage
- 13:15together in public, and they presented an award to Taylor Swift. It was
- 13:18pretty cool and the VMA goes to the unstoppable Taylor Swift, so of course
- 13:26she does her Taylor Swift. She's freaking out. She goes on stage and
- 13:30they ended up handing her friendship bracelets and that threw her off and she was
- 13:33a fan girl. I'm not doing well pivoting from this to this, Like
- 13:39I had, I had your dolls, like are you doing something? What's
- 13:43gonna happen? Now? What are you? There's something they're gonna They're gonna
- 13:48do something, and I need to know what it is. You guys,
- 13:50are your your pop personified? So to receive this from your golden pop hands.
- 13:58It's too much. Do you remember the no strings attached dolls that we're
- 14:01in the boxes? Oh my gosh. I don't know the side note here,
- 14:05but what is it about her delivery? And I like her, Taylor,
- 14:09but just something about her delivery so phony? You know what I mean.
- 14:11It's shows. It's always the hardest for me to watch because it's the
- 14:16oh my god, I want again and again and again, oh again,
- 14:20out of here. And she was so shocked that they were on stage.
- 14:22I'm like, you knew, we all knew. But anyway, it's so
- 14:24exciting. I always felt like it would happen eventually, you know, But
- 14:28obviously the whole thing was justin. Timberlake is too big and successful on his
- 14:31own. Why would he reunite with j C and the gang? I do
- 14:35love yesterday on social media, Jac and Lance and all of I mean just
- 14:41hacking it like, hey, we're back together, We're back together. Well,
- 14:43this is our super Bowl. I know everybody else is going, Okay,
- 14:48justin are you in for this? Because that's the real tale, the
- 14:50real tale tell for everybody. Because Trollsery is in theaters November seventeenth, super
- 14:56excited about they might do a song, but I think that's it. I'm
- 15:00trying not to get my hopes out camp be it that they wouldn't do all
- 15:01this for that for a stupid soundtrack song. I feel like justin Timberlakes solo
- 15:07career, like it was iconic legend on his own, Yes, but I
- 15:09feel like that's sort of dwindling, Like what mortgage does he need to do
- 15:13as a solo artist. I don't know you think that they're actually gonna all
- 15:18get together in some capacity. I don't think we need an album like the
- 15:20Backstreet Boys new stuff like just Stop. But you know the show's like,
- 15:24yeah, do a Vegas residence? That would get me to Vegas? And
- 15:30another Taylor Swift k now she's maybe got herself a new man Chiefs tight end.
- 15:33Travis Kelsey. I am here for this. Why is he? He's
- 15:37been in the league forever, but suddenly every woman I know is just in
- 15:41love with Travis Kelsey. I think their podcast kind of started it. And
- 15:43then when they both went to the Super Bowl Just a Story with Mama Donna
- 15:46and everything, That's when I got attached to the Kelsey brothers. Taylor and
- 15:52Travis, I guess have been quietly hanging out. They were in New York
- 15:54City a few weeks ago, and that was kind of the first time they
- 15:58really got together. He was at her show in Kansas City and was making
- 16:02jokes that he was trying to get his number to her. Well, it
- 16:04looks like that did happen, because on one of the podcasts the other day,
- 16:07not only did they confirm that he was in New York. At one
- 16:11point, his brother asked him whether or not he found out what Taylor Swift
- 16:15thinks of his mustache. He said, yeah, we're not gonna bring up
- 16:18Taylor Swift in this episode. He looked a little flustered and said, but
- 16:21something tells me she's gonna like it. Yeah. I saw a tweet though
- 16:25that hit it on the nose that basically, here's a guy who you know,
- 16:27is a nice man, unproblematic, and he has his own money,
- 16:30so there's no way she's interested. Not her type. Oh that is terrible.
- 16:41Well, maybe she needs to go after because they haven't dated yet,
- 16:44right, Taylor Swift and Pete Davidson. No, No, that's the only
- 16:47one. Well, he came clean about getting clean at his comedy show with
- 16:52John and John. Remember those tickets where John, he addressed his recents,
- 16:59didn't rehab. He said, I'm fresh. How to rehab everyone? I
- 17:00got that post rehab glow seven times a charm. He revealed that he had
- 17:04took ketamine and he said it was magical. But my thirtieth birthday is coming
- 17:10up in November, and he says that he believes you can't do drugs in
- 17:12your thirties because it's not cute anymore and you're just a drug deddict when you
- 17:17do it. Well, it's like when you're partying back in college. It's
- 17:19so cute to be wasted and doing all this stuff, and then eventually it's
- 17:23like, oh now you just now it's just a problem. Yeah. Good
- 17:27for him though, good for him for cleaning up, because you know,
- 17:30as he's turning thirty, he needs to know that once you get thirty,
- 17:32it's all over. And by the way, he is single again. Chase
- 17:36Suwee wonders, they broke up? Who? Chase Stuee wonders, are we
- 17:38saying that name like it's a household game? Chase Suey wonders, they're done
- 17:45you like eight months? Chase Suey wonders, I would have known if I'm
- 17:51making that name up. No, if you're probably you're questioning me, and
- 17:53now I'm making I'm just saying it. But you gotta like throw something out.
- 17:56They're like, oh, you know that one random person he was dating,
- 18:00but you just said it like it was just am I starting to become
- 18:03a Pete Davidson family. I'm following all of the things he's doing. Jase
- 18:07Suey my girl, like in a mina in the morning on Big Nutty eight
- 18:15point seven. Did you see yesterday Apple, the popular tech company, unveiled
- 18:21their new iPhone, iPhone number fifteen. Can you believe me the fact that
- 18:23people are still using an iPhone for Pete's sake? Jeez, get on board
- 18:30for Pete's sake. Amanda Sale is a Galaxy and Android. It's so annoying
- 18:33because not only every group text we're in is green, the text bubbles are
- 18:37green. And she doesn't even know what I'm talking about because they're always green
- 18:41for her. No, I've never had the joy of a blue bubble.
- 18:45I message group text At a football game on Saturday, somebody went, can
- 18:48you actually use your phone to take the picture? Because it takes better pictures
- 18:52with this Samsung Ultra, because it has five cameras on the front, because
- 18:56it takes such high quality photos. You're right, your stuff like garbage.
- 19:00Anyway. The new Apple five iPhone fifteen was unveiled yesterday, So the big
- 19:04headline they eliminated the lightning port, which is you know, your basic iPhone
- 19:10charger if you have an iPhone of the last several generations, so you just
- 19:14have to put it on a launch pad. We've had that pad with Galaxies
- 19:19wireless charging. Yes it's compatible with that, but no, the port is
- 19:22now a USBC, which is the same one that you would plug like a
- 19:26MacBook into an iPad. So it's like a little bit bigger of it,
- 19:30which is just universe. It's becoming universal, right, which is nice because
- 19:33how frustrating is that I get when you have two different brands like an Android
- 19:37or an iPhone or something like that. But we've got to be more compatible
- 19:41with things like that. Have you. We have a box full of just
- 19:44chargers and different things like that, and I'm scared to get rid of them.
- 19:47I don't know why, but it's really everybody has that pile of junks
- 19:49it's like, yeah, you just never know, and it sometimes it comes
- 19:53through, yeah, you know, but no, like last night, for
- 19:56example, I pulled out my MacBook and I was at I was hosting trivia
- 19:59and I pulled my computer around. I needed my computer charger, but I
- 20:02didn't have I had my phone charger. Like, what the how does this
- 20:04not work for both? Right? Well, now it does? Okay,
- 20:07So the camera is upgraded, so you know, it got your forty eight
- 20:12megapixel main camera providing a new twenty four megapixels super high resolution default camera.
- 20:19Man, so it sounds like they've copied the Samsung Ultra. Here is from
- 20:23what I'm understanding, basically that phone you have in your hand, there is
- 20:26just dust at this point. Well, it's very exciting. And of course
- 20:30how much do they cost? You're wondering, Well, the six point one
- 20:33inch iPhone fifty is starting at seven ninety nine, and the six point seven
- 20:38inch iPhone pretty significant, a big dollars, eight hundred and ninety NI dollars.
- 20:47Every inch matters. But when you have a phone, I always laugh.
- 20:52I mean, at what point do you not be able to You can't
- 20:53even put it in your pocket? Are you ever going to become an iPhone
- 20:56person, my husband told me, because we're on the same plan. Yeah,
- 21:02sure, easy that way, he did tell me, I can't get
- 21:03an upgrade ever again unless I go over to the iPhone because it's starting to
- 21:07bother him, and mainly because of the grandparents and people like that that want
- 21:11to face time with us. Oh FaceTime. It's so easy on an iPhone,
- 21:15Like air drop is just a life changer for me. Easy. My
- 21:19dad has a Galaxy and can you air drop a photo to me right now?
- 21:22Yeah? I can shoot you something through the galaxy. Yes, I
- 21:29don't know it's the same exact thing, but you just go poop and it.
- 21:30Can you boop it? To me? Is what I'm wondering with an
- 21:33iPhone. I bet I can? I bet I can bloop it. Let's
- 21:37try to bloop. But ladies and gentlemen, hang tight. I know you're
- 21:41in your car waiting to go into work. But just there's got to be
- 21:42other people like me though, that are just annoyed by the fact that I
- 21:47can. I can keep my Galaxy. I like it. It's user friendly
- 21:49for me. I don't need to conform to you Apple users. No,
- 21:53not only is it embarrassing for you and your family. But it's it's affecting
- 21:57us now too. It's just I do I do love how irritated people do
- 22:00get the green taxi. Oh you loved this, or you emphasize this.
- 22:06What does it mean when you emphasize that's a good question. That's a whole
- 22:08different thing. I know. It's like see that like in a minute in
- 22:15the morning on seven. Hey, you know Grammar, remember that thing out
- 22:22of the window audios? Oh you are not, you are not. Oh
- 22:27this is a jam just for you. I know. Where'd you say you
- 22:30listen to the song? Well, my girls and I used to cruise the
- 22:33strip in Wadina and we would be dancing too. This as we're going through
- 22:36the Pomada parking lot, the strip of Wadina. Yeah, we had a
- 22:41dance and all no no different roads, you know, the one to park
- 22:45Rappits, we'd that one thirty four. I don't know, I'm just making
- 22:48up roads anyway. Thank you, all right? So Grammar, according to
- 22:52a study, found that less than a fourth of young adults use punctuation in
- 22:57casual communications like texting. So that's said, they say, once you're used
- 23:03to using abbreviations in or wrong spellings. You forget to do it correctly.
- 23:06So oh for sALS you a decent job. I mean, if you're making
- 23:10like grammatical errors on a resume or typos or you know, misspellings, your
- 23:15chance of getting the job are gone. There's nobody's hiring you. Yeah,
- 23:18it's very interesting because I on text message will just send. But ever since
- 23:23I got an update with this android, the Galaxy Pike, that I still
- 23:26use that. Okay, I remember that from like the early two thousands,
- 23:30but interesting auto corrects everything and changes it. So what I was writing it
- 23:36all at an eye instead of this. It's crazy. So anybody who's been
- 23:40texting me me for a lot of years lately, it's probably like, wow,
- 23:42she is such an adult these days. Great speller, Yeah, that
- 23:45one that a man. But I mean, spelling is one thing. But
- 23:48like, you're not throwing proper commas. I mean, have you ever used
- 23:52a semi colon? No, this is what I'm saying. I never I
- 23:55don't use commas the way I'm supposed to. And now if I put an
- 23:57Instagram post up or anything, automatically adds the commas and does all of that.
- 24:02It did seem lately I had been suspicious. I guess she has somebody
- 24:06else writing her chat GPT doing all of my post like, yeah, well,
- 24:10I'm just I feel like I'm a bit of a grammar guy. But
- 24:14what's like, the what grammar thing annoys you the most? What's your biggest
- 24:17pet peeve biggest? And we did post this on Facebook and feel free to
- 24:19chime in seven one two ninety eight seven. There's a lot of people agreeing
- 24:23with me. I seen that, Yeah, you saw that. You didn't
- 24:29seen that? Well, that's a big one. You know. You're also
- 24:32being a bit of a hypocrite because I hear you a lot say the misuse
- 24:34of come, Like you'll say, you know, I've came, and I'll
- 24:38always say come, and you'll be like, what right you, I've come?
- 24:44Not right like to the party or whatever. Yeah, for sure,
- 24:48Yeah, but that's really bad about that. That's the one that stands out
- 24:51to me. For instance, today when we were talking about Pete Davidson,
- 24:53this feels wrong to me to be able to say Pete Davidson came clean about
- 24:57getting clean? Isn't it be Davidson come clean? Okay, that's a bit
- 25:03of stretch. About it's it's like the eye have versus I. Well,
- 25:07now I'm confusing myself. You know, grammar is something, you know what
- 25:11it is for me, and this is this is a little one and I
- 25:12get it. Like this is sort of tricky, but like when it comes
- 25:15to last names and you're like the like the plural of a last name.
- 25:19So like, oh yeah, if if you get a card and you're sending
- 25:22me a card and is from the Johnson's, like you don't have an apostrophe
- 25:26ass right, Like, oh my gosh, I ever think every Christmas card
- 25:29it's been the lenders with an apostrophe as don't need an apostrophe. That's like
- 25:33the possessive, so like the PSI if that card belongs to the lenders,
- 25:38but it's not from the lenders with an apostrophe. Interesting crystal chiming and on
- 25:42face but going again, feel free to give us a call because we could
- 25:45probably go on and on. She says, I see so many people get
- 25:48women and women mixed up, Like I can't wait to spend the rest of
- 25:52my life with this women. I believe they mean these women. That's so
- 26:00good. Of course, there's the theirs. That's one yeah, that's I
- 26:04don't want to say I immediately lose all respect for you, but like kind
- 26:08of I struggle every once in a while with that one. They're there and
- 26:12there. Yeah, I think I'm getting better. It's just two. I
- 26:17don't know. We all learned it. We were all there. I remember
- 26:18seeing you all in class. Pam wrote, unthaw when you're thawing something frozen.
- 26:23Oh yeah, uh worsh instead of wash. I say that as a
- 26:27goof oh yeah. I was like, oh, I gotta wash my jeans.
- 26:30Yeah. My stepdad always says catch up. Definitely catch up. What
- 26:36about misspelling lose? You see it a lot. They say loose, l
- 26:40double o se, No, that's loose, that's loose. You're getting loose?
- 26:44Or did you lose? Those are two different things. Like in a
- 26:47minute in the morning, Big Nutty eight point seven, do you work with
- 26:49like young people? Like generations? E got anybody? Because often they'll say
- 26:52things that just make you feel like you're a thousand years old. People online
- 27:00were sharing the things are gen z Co workers said that that made them realize
- 27:03they are officially old, like you know. For example, one so they
- 27:06had an intern referred to the nineties as the late nineteen hundreds. Oh,
- 27:12basically you just fossilized me at that point. Yeah, no kidding. I
- 27:17still struggle even last night with the Vmason and of course in Sync was there.
- 27:22There's Taylor Swift, There's some of those, but overall that entire show,
- 27:26I'm going huh, boogie with a hoodie. I mean, what is
- 27:32going on here? I've never felt so old in my life. It is
- 27:37funny. It seems like they're making up names, like they're just braking you.
- 27:40Come on, really no uh. Some one person said they were talking
- 27:44about where they were on nine to eleven and one of the co workers went
- 27:47quiet, he haven't even been born yet, which is intern grace here or
- 27:51a gen z here? Are you? Were you born then? I was,
- 27:52I think just almost one old two you remember it was twenty two years.
- 28:00But I mean, it is interesting how that's going to be like as
- 28:03time goes on, because I remember it being when I was talking to my
- 28:06grandma when when she was still alive, like I was obsessed with like asking
- 28:07her about historical events. Yeah, I would ask her about the Holocaust for
- 28:11example, but you know, she was just on a farm in North Dakota.
- 28:15She didn't even know it was going on, right, It was just
- 28:18funny, you know, not funny interesting, interesting, Well, we were
- 28:22talking about it. You were off on Monday. But as the twenty two
- 28:25are the twenty second anniversary of nine to eleven, just us feeling like there
- 28:30are more people now that weren't a part of it. Don't remember any of
- 28:33that. That's crazy to me. Of course they learn about it in school.
- 28:37But yeah, I think of the things we learned about it in school,
- 28:40and people are like, yeah, I was there for it. Yeah,
- 28:42Reaganomics know all about it. You remember those, don't you. Of
- 28:47course one person said they had a young female co worker said she was gonna
- 28:52come by with some incredible tea. Well, she was profoundly confused and disappointed
- 28:57when the co workers showed up to the office without out call me a Lickxir
- 29:00of the Gods and step proceeded to talk trash about a co worker. No
- 29:07camel meal. There was no camel meal tea involved in that. Oh my
- 29:10gosh, that is really funny. We're super hip though, because we spilled
- 29:15the tea and the twenty one after the time, my cup is full of
- 29:19tea. Every day piping hot isn't here, yeah, one said. When
- 29:25I fell down the last couple of steps on the stairway, no one,
- 29:27no one pointed and laughed like I expected. Instead, they helped me up
- 29:32and asked if I was okay, what what? I don't know, just
- 29:34say I was expecting the opposite. Nobody picked me up and helped me out.
- 29:38They grabbed their phones and we're snap chatting it, and I was going
- 29:41vitab like that's how I think people look at things. Do you have anything
- 29:45that young people? It's weird because now you and I mad like we started
- 29:48working together when we were in our I suppose I was like early twenties,
- 29:51you were mid twenties or whatever. So we were like we've been since then,
- 29:53the young ones. And now here we are in the room just feeling
- 29:56like dinosaurs. I know. Fourteen years ago is when we started working together.
- 30:02Wild wild stuff. Yeah, there's another thing. Quoting Johnny Carson,
- 30:06not gonna make you, not gonna make you look young. Wow. Wow.
- 30:10Take a minute in the morning point seven. Well, let's say good
- 30:18morning. Her name is Heather. Good morning, Heather, Hi, Hi,
- 30:22good morning. Oh Heather sounds a little nervous, well, what's a
- 30:27perfectly normal thing you're doing here trying to get yourself out of the friend zone.
- 30:30Listen, We've been a very successful doing this, so hope to be
- 30:33again today now, Amanda, I mean, we are on a street,
- 30:37because we had one last week, one in a row. Did we get
- 30:41this one? Now that's a street. So Heather, tell us what's going
- 30:44on with Well, his name is Nate. Yes, yeah, So Nate
- 30:48and I work together, and so yeah, and so you know, in
- 30:55the beginning of our work friendship do you want to call it, he gave
- 31:00some really bad first impressions. So I just blew him off from the start.
- 31:07But I've gotten to know him better and so like, you know,
- 31:10I can kind of like observe and see how he interacts with people, and
- 31:15I just I don't know, I just got to know him, and I
- 31:17realized that I got him all wrong, like I got my impressions. Okay,
- 31:22yeah, so I don't know. He's just a great guy. And
- 31:25so I guess from the beginning, I kind of just you know, gave
- 31:30off the vibe of like your friend, and I put myself in the friend
- 31:34zone. So it's my own fault. And so now it's some help.
- 31:38I don't want to be just his friends anymore. Those feelings don't just go
- 31:42away. I gotta feel we still have a chance with this one. Now,
- 31:45just to confirm, Heather, you're not his boss. He's not your
- 31:48boss. Anything weird like that that we should worry about. No, no,
- 31:52no, no, we're do work coworkers. Yeah, all right,
- 31:55well let's let's call him. Just count right to it. So you gave
- 31:57a snace phone number, we'll give him all and Heather, you just gotta
- 32:00stay real quiet because otherwise we you know, we can't get like the good
- 32:04stuff, the real honest stuff, if he knows you're on the phone.
- 32:06So all right, we're gonna call him. Feeling good about it though,
- 32:08I mean, if he liked you before, absolutely very confident here. But
- 32:14let's see, lou Hey, is this Nate? He speak? Hey Nate,
- 32:23it's Pike and Amanda on big night of your point seven the radio station.
- 32:28How are you? Oh? Uh? What I win? Good?
- 32:30How are you? Oh? You might have won some real nuts? Oh
- 32:35my, Okay, that sounded weird. Sound it really weird? Not money
- 32:38back, Nate. A couple questions for you, if you don't mind us
- 32:44getting personal real quick. Are you single? Are you a single man?
- 32:47Yeah? I am. Well, we heard from somebody that they've got a
- 32:52crush on you. How exciting is that? Okay, yeah, that's exciting.
- 32:59Remember what was said. You could be winning something real nice. It
- 33:00could be the love of your life. Who knows. Yeah, wouldn't that
- 33:04be nice? Is there anybody that comes to mind when we tell you somebody's
- 33:07got a little something something for you? I mean, honestly, no,
- 33:10But I also have a history of not seeing seeing it when it happens,
- 33:15you know what I mean? So no, I guess it. In a
- 33:19word, No, nobody comes to mind. Would it maybe help if I
- 33:22said it's somebody that you work with. I mean, I only work with
- 33:27with one hot chick that is definitely not into meate, So no, I
- 33:32don't know. I mean, maybe it's her yourself. You know that she's
- 33:37not into you. Why would you feel like this one is not into you?
- 33:42Oh? I mean, look, I may not be very lucky in
- 33:45love, but it's pretty clear she's not into me. Without going into all
- 33:49the details, but let's just say I tried and got shot down hard,
- 33:53or so you thought. I mean, you admitted yourself. You're not great
- 33:57at sensing these things. So why don't you just tell us what this person's
- 34:00name is? Just we can we can clear her name if it is not
- 34:02her. Okay, her name is this Heather, but it's it's not her.
- 34:07The one off chance it is Heather, thoughts. I mean, look,
- 34:13if it was Heather, we would be together. Yeah, I don't
- 34:16know what to say. Well, we know what to say, Nate,
- 34:19because we got good news. By man, it is Heather. All right?
- 34:22Who plug you up to this? There's just no way, come on,
- 34:24this is totally we swear to God where you're not pranking you come on,
- 34:29no way, no, no, you can't do this to me.
- 34:34We're not really You read the situation wrong again obviously, Nate. I mean
- 34:38I'd have to hear that from her to believe it. All right, funny
- 34:42you should interesting. Well, why don't you go ahead and just ask her
- 34:45straight up? Because she's on the phone right now. Good morning, Heather?
- 34:49What Hi? Hi? Nate? Hi Heather? How are you?
- 35:00Society? Is this career? Now? Heather? Nate doesn't believe us.
- 35:04Can you tell him that you're not joking? What happened? I'm not joking?
- 35:09It is me, your friend and co worker. I I didn't know
- 35:15how else to like, I don't know, to see if you, you
- 35:21know, had feelings for me, and I feel like, yeah, it's
- 35:25we're just get Yeah. No, I was just I was nervous to say
- 35:30something directly to you, and so I needed some help because I have feelings
- 35:35for you. And Heather, was Nate right to think that you were shutting
- 35:40him down out of the gate, that maybe it was, you know,
- 35:44initially not kind of what you had in mind. But he's grown on you
- 35:46since. Yeah. So in the beginning, I yeah, I wasn't interested.
- 35:53And then the more I got to know you, I feelings. So
- 36:00I you know what, Nate, I'll let you plan. I'll let you
- 36:07plan a surprise for me. My gosh, this is adorable. Yeah,
- 36:10I've definitely no shortage of the surprises today. That's look at yes, I
- 36:15see look at the big old wins. We're here. I love it.
- 36:19Well, congrats guy in acquired taste. So you guys have a ton of
- 36:25fun. Let us know how it goes. Yeah, yeah, this is
- 36:30great. To Amanda in the morning seven Trending. Now here's what you need
- 36:39to know. Pratty by Park Company Real Tours. Let them help you find
- 36:43your next home experience the power of park visit park Company dot Com to make
- 36:46your next move. Well, is he gonna be able to do it?
- 36:50Governor Bergha must failed to see any bump and pulling following his appearance at the
- 36:53Republican debate last month and here in a couple of weeks is going to be
- 36:57the second debate, and in order to make that main stage, he has
- 37:00to have three percent, and some polls are saying he's maybe around two percent.
- 37:05I was really hoping need make it to the big stage again. It
- 37:07sounds like probably not invited guests. Ye once he I don't know, he's
- 37:10gotta drum up some excitement. What do we think we I don't know.
- 37:15There was no Over the weekend we were at the Iowa State game and the
- 37:20big Iowa Caucus. You know they're all over there. All of the Republican
- 37:23Canadas were there. Didn't see elbows with any of them. Oh didn't see
- 37:28one of them. They weren't seated next to uh Donald? Was he there?
- 37:31He was there? Was? Yeah, he stopped by a frad house.
- 37:35I guess come on now, jeezus, hey boys, and we were
- 37:45just talking about he wasn't at a sorority house, all right, Patrick Mahomes,
- 37:51We were just talking about grammar and punctuation got the best of him on
- 37:55Twitter on Monday night. Of course, we found out yesterday Aaron Rodgers is
- 37:59up for the season. He did tear his achilles brutal, just awful,
- 38:02and he decided right away he was gonna tweet out hate that man, dot
- 38:07dot dot, praying for the best. He forgot the comma. So everybody's
- 38:10like, hate that man, but hate that hate. I'm praying for him,
- 38:14but jeezus, I hate that man. That's so sad. And also
- 38:17do you hear the story of like, you know, when Rogers was in
- 38:20the locker room and halftime, one of the young receivers you know, they're
- 38:22very excited to play together, just went up to him and he said.
- 38:24All Rogers could say was sorry, kid, it seriously breaks my heart.
- 38:29Yeah. And I'll be honest with you, whether you like him or not,
- 38:32I would have never tuned into Monday Night Football, to be completely honest
- 38:36with you. If it wasn't for Aaron Rodgers playing for the Jet, the
- 38:39Jets and the Bills would have been kind of like maybe I'd catch it on
- 38:43a Sunday, no big deal. But he was bringing that star power to
- 38:45it, and absolutely it's a big old bummer. Do you think his career's
- 38:52over? I feel back one more. I don't think he can, because
- 38:54he's talked about even playing till he's like forty five, like Tom Brady style.
- 38:59So if that's a case, he'll come back, all right. And
- 39:02this would be something you had to Vegas. You're super excited and oh,
- 39:07you can't check in and oh, no slot machines are working. I guess
- 39:10on Monday in Vegas at the MGM, they had a cyber attack and this
- 39:15is all the MGM resorts, so Balagio, Mandalay Bay and a few others.
- 39:19People were showing up. They couldn't check into their hotels. One customer
- 39:22said, yeah, we were already checked in, but their hotel key was
- 39:24working at every single door. I'm like, okay, that's also weird that
- 39:28you were just one big open house party. That sounds fun. What are
- 39:32they doing in there today? I know, just really creepy. And then
- 39:36you step I guess for me, I try not to think about it,
- 39:38but you step back and go what if that were to go down completely,
- 39:43just in general, all the things that we use for if something gets on
- 39:46the cyber attack or gets at that's the scary thing about living in twenty twenty
- 39:51three. Man, you just don't know. But that's why I stay exclusively
- 39:52at Caesar's Resorts. Oh is that why the flamingos specifically? Or is that
- 39:57where you've lost it? And that's why I lost my money? And now
- 40:00I have status. What do you get status? Well, you go.
- 40:05You know, I'm a platinum member of the program that I get free hotel
- 40:08rooms. No way, No, like frequent fire miles. It's like frequent
- 40:12Gambler miles. So if I were to go to Vegas, could I use
- 40:15your platinum status? Can get you? I can get you a discounted room,
- 40:20or if you stay with me, it's free. But you wouldn't want
- 40:22that because I'm a bit messy in my room. I wouldn't want to go
- 40:24to Vegas and stay at the same hotel right there. Definitely not weatherwise today
- 40:30gonna be gonna be. It's funny you bring that up, because remember the
- 40:34one time we went to Vegas at Jacquelin, a man at her own room
- 40:37and I don't think I wanted any part of that room. Oh man,
- 40:44I'll never forget opening trying to get you out of that room. The day
- 40:45we had to get on her flight, I was a mess, Sheeta print
- 40:51dress, ready to go. Gosh to be young again, Pike, that
- 40:54good old day of Spike reminiscent. Did you do the weather? I think
- 40:59so? Sorry? In seventy today, Hey, we're piking Amanda in the
- 41:01morning. Tomorrow seven to eleven we kick off the big Birthday Board. Your
- 41:05chance to win it was fifteen hundred bucks. He could be winning, Yeah,
- 41:07three times a day. Were that would cover a trip to Vegas.
- 41:10If you don't gamble, yeah, if you don't, you have text money
- 41:15to seven to one two eight to one ninety eight seven to get in
