- 0:01Hello. Welcome to the No God Coach
- 0:02Huddle for January 30, 2026. Your
- 0:05twominut call from God's playbook to
- 0:08know him better so we can obey and love
- 0:10him more. So, let's huddle up and hear
- 0:12today's play from Romans 7. My brothers,
- 0:15you've been made dead with regard to the
- 0:18law through the Messiah's body, so that
- 0:20you may belong to someone else, namely
- 0:23the one who has been raised from the
- 0:24dead in order for us to bear fruit for
- 0:27God, so that we are serving in the new
- 0:29way provided by the spirit and not in
- 0:32the old way outwardly following the
- 0:34letter of the law. Paul tells us, "You
- 0:37have died to the law through the body of
- 0:39Christ so that you now belong to the one
- 0:42who was raised from the dead in order
- 0:44that you might bear fruit for God." That
- 0:47matters. That phrase matters. Freedom in
- 0:50Christ is not freedom from obedience.
- 0:53It's freedom for fruitfulness. Here's
- 0:56the mistake we make. We measure our
- 0:58faith by what we don't do. I don't
- 1:01drink. I don't cheat. I don't do what
- 1:03those bad guys do. But Paul doesn't say
- 1:06you were freed so that you could avoid
- 1:09sin. He says you were freed so you could
- 1:12bear fruit. Here's the measuring stick.
- 1:15Don't measure your life by what you're
- 1:17avoiding. Measure your life by what
- 1:20you're producing. Paul explains that the
- 1:22law couldn't fix us. Not because the law
- 1:25was broken, but because we are. The law
- 1:28exposed our rebellion, but it couldn't
- 1:30change our nature. And that's why Jesus
- 1:33came. Jesus obeyed perfectly where we
- 1:36failed. Jesus absorbed the penalty we
- 1:39deserve. Jesus was raised so we could
- 1:42live a new kind of life by the spirit.
- 1:45Now we don't obey to earn God's favor.
- 1:48We obey because we belong to Christ. And
- 1:51obedience fueled by love produces fruit.
- 1:55Men, this is where it gets practical. Is
- 1:57your life producing a love for God? A
- 1:59love for people, generosity,
- 2:02forgiveness, courage to speak the
- 2:04gospel, patience under pressure,
- 2:07endurance when things are hard, or are
- 2:09you just managing sin? You can be sin
- 2:12managed and fruitless. You can look
- 2:15clean on the outside and still produce
- 2:17nothing for God. Paul says, "We now
- 2:20serve in the new way of the spirit, not
- 2:22the old way of rulekeeping." That means
- 2:25the spirit isn't just restraining your
- 2:27behavior. He's reshaping your desires.
- 2:30So, here's today's play. Ask yourself
- 2:33honestly, what is my life producing
- 2:36right now? Who's closer to Jesus because
- 2:39I'm in their life? Where is God bearing
- 2:41fruit through me? You are not freed from
- 2:44the law to live for yourself. You are
- 2:47freed to belong to Jesus and to bear
- 2:49fruit for God. So, run today's play. Die
- 2:52to your self-reliance. Walk by the
- 2:55spirit and measure your faith by what
- 2:57your life is producing. That's how godly
- 3:00men live fully surrendered. That's how
- 3:02God gets the glory. If this huddle helps
- 3:05you know God better so you can love and
- 3:07obey him more, leave a quick review and
- 3:10share with a friend. That's how other
- 3:11men find their way into the huddle.
