- 0:30Speaker 2: Wan the Eagle, and Carl the Otter. A famous detective
- 0:36Speaker 2: is brought in to investigate. He interrogates all three suspects
- 0:40Speaker 2: and immediately decides it's not the pig, but why well,
- 0:47Speaker 2: it's always Wan or the Otter. We should always do
- 0:57Speaker 2: what we can to continue improving. Rather than compare ourselves
- 1:02Speaker 2: to others, it is far more constructive and useful to
- 1:06Speaker 2: compare ourselves to our former self. Are you a better
- 1:11Speaker 2: person than you were in the past. We will talk
- 1:15Speaker 2: about this in this week's episode of Positively three sixty five,

- 3:33Speaker 2: Do you know the answer to this week's trivia question.
- 3:37Speaker 2: The question was the novel Little Women is set in
- 3:42Speaker 2: which us state the answer Massachusetts. Now you know. In life,
- 4:03Speaker 2: it's easy to get caught up in the pressure of
- 4:05Speaker 2: proving ourselves to others, whether it's through achievements, social status,
- 4:10Speaker 2: or outward appearances. However, a much more fulfilling approach is
- 4:15Speaker 2: to focus on improving ourselves, cultivating internal growth rather than
- 4:20Speaker 2: seeking validation from external sources. When we prioritize self improvement,
- 4:27Speaker 2: we invest in skills, mindset, and emotional intelligence that help
- 4:32Speaker 2: us to become more resilient, content and capable. This focus
- 4:37Speaker 2: allows us to measure success not by how others perceive us,
- 4:43Speaker 2: but by the personal progress we make, whether it's overcoming
- 4:46Speaker 2: our own challenges, learning new things, or simply becoming kinder
- 4:51Speaker 2: and more empathetic. True growth comes from within. Instead of
- 4:57Speaker 2: trying to prove to others that we are work worthy
- 5:00Speaker 2: or capable, we should aim to prove to ourselves that
- 5:04Speaker 2: we can rise above our limitations and keep evolving. Personal
- 5:09Speaker 2: development involves a deeper level of self awareness, which encourages
- 5:14Speaker 2: us to be open to feedback, embrace our flaws, and
- 5:18Speaker 2: set meaningful goals that align with our values. When we
- 5:22Speaker 2: shift the focus from proving ourselves to improving ourselves, we
- 5:28Speaker 2: unlock lasting confidence, self compassion, and a sense of fulfillment
- 5:33Speaker 2: that can't be easily shaken by external judgments or fleeting successes.
- 5:39Speaker 2: This approach leads to sustainable well being, helping us build
- 5:45Speaker 2: a better life that feels both authentic and purposeful. There
- 6:02Speaker 2: is an old proverb that expresses the theme of this
- 6:06Speaker 2: week's episode beautifully. The proverb says, this focus on improving yourself,
- 6:16Speaker 2: not proving yourself.
