- 0:14Speaker 1: is the day of love.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Are you proud of me?
- 0:17Speaker 3: You didn't make the joke. Yeah, you remembered my name again.
- 0:22Speaker 2: I just want to make sure you're proud of me
- 0:24Speaker 2: that I didn't say anything.
- 0:24Speaker 1: I'm so proud of you you. So today is a
- 0:28Speaker 1: special day because it is Valentine's Day. But a lot
- 0:32Speaker 1: of people sit there and they're like, oh, fuck, Valentine's Day.
- 0:35Speaker 1: I don't have a lover, and I don't feel like
- 0:37Speaker 1: Valentine's Day is really about like having a significant other.
- 0:40Speaker 1: For me, it's always been my little brother Easton's birthday.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Okay, Lala, that's very specific for the rest of us
- 0:46Speaker 2: that are romantic, right, it is about Valentine's Day.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Have a significant other.
- 0:51Speaker 2: It's not about your brother Valentine's Day.
- 0:53Speaker 3: It's his birthday. I think that's more special.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Okay. Well, if people know you, which most people are
- 0:57Speaker 2: listening probably do, they know that You're family is the
- 1:01Speaker 2: most important thing on the planet. But for the rest
- 1:03Speaker 2: of us on planet Earth, Valentine's Day is a romantic
- 1:08Speaker 2: lover's day and By the way, I want to tell
- 1:10Speaker 2: you that it is the greatest day on the planet.
- 1:13Speaker 2: You get to shower, spoil your lover with unlimited, unlimited things, roses,
- 1:21Speaker 2: sexy things, surprises.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Sounds like just another day for La La. Okay, well
- 1:27Speaker 1: that just sounds like an every day.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, you're an exception.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Right, Okay, but you're whom like I'm sure a lot
- 1:36Speaker 1: of chicks that are listening to this are going to
- 1:38Speaker 1: be like.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Oh, Randall Emmett. He's making Valentine's Day about lovers.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Like, if you think about it, most people are like,
- 1:44Speaker 1: fuck Valentine's Date.
- 1:46Speaker 3: No sort of a reminder that you.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Don't like it. I don't like where this is going.
- 1:49Speaker 2: First of all, this is not acceptable.
- 1:51Speaker 3: You're so romantic, though, I don't like it, but.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Stop saying it's like because there's a lot of Okay,
- 1:55Speaker 2: let me say something. When I was single, like when
- 1:59Speaker 2: dinosaurs roam the earth. Okay, I remember Valentine's Day, and
- 2:03Speaker 2: you know what, I still didn't have that attitude, like
- 2:06Speaker 2: like fucked balance. You know what I did.
- 2:07Speaker 3: You're not a girl. Okay, keep going, but you're not
- 2:10Speaker 3: a check Keep going, but you know.
- 2:11Speaker 2: What I did? I spoiled my mother. I did things
- 2:14Speaker 2: like that. All I'm saying is this, you don't have
- 2:16Speaker 2: to have a partner in bound. And it's like, if
- 2:18Speaker 2: you're single.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Then you we're saying the same thing, Randall.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Yeah. But for me, it's like even when I was
- 2:23Speaker 2: in college and I was like broke no money, Like I, okay,
- 2:27Speaker 2: this is a true story. I sold one of my TVs.
- 2:31Speaker 2: My roommate was not happy I sold the TV. True
- 2:34Speaker 2: story was a plasma. It's a plasma. I sold this
- 2:36Speaker 2: TV for like maybe sixty bucks. And I was able
- 2:40Speaker 2: to hire a friend for ten bucks. And when I
- 2:42Speaker 2: and I cooked a whole romantic dinner in my dorm
- 2:45Speaker 2: room to this girl that I really liked at the time,
- 2:47Speaker 2: so there you go. So oh no, that was like
- 2:52Speaker 2: double steak and there was like a.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Big potato, and oh you sold the TV to.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Make to get all that shit and be able to
- 2:57Speaker 2: get flowers. I couldn't afford anything.
- 2:59Speaker 3: That is so sad.
- 3:01Speaker 2: See most people say that's romantic, Tim.
- 3:03Speaker 3: I would never know, Tim, who the hell is giving?
- 3:08Speaker 1: Did you at least get Poonani after If you're giving
- 3:11Speaker 1: up a plasma for.
- 3:12Speaker 3: One freaking dinner.
- 3:16Speaker 2: I probably bought a card. I don't remember. It was
- 3:19Speaker 2: a long time ago, but it was.
- 3:20Speaker 3: That's Randall Emmont for you though. That's what he does.
- 3:22Speaker 1: He's like, if I have to sell something to just
- 3:25Speaker 1: give a chick one nice dinner, that's what I'm gonna do.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Oh, I'm so lucky to have you. I would never
- 3:31Speaker 3: do that.
- 3:32Speaker 2: No, you would. You would. You would let us starve.
- 3:35Speaker 3: To death because vale you reach.
- 3:38Speaker 2: It in your pocket. I don't remember.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Okay, I actually have something really romantic planned I do
- 3:48Speaker 1: for to nice. It's not like it's not I'm telling
- 3:52Speaker 1: you you guys, Randall, if you bang on the table
- 3:54Speaker 1: one more time.
- 3:55Speaker 3: I'm going to bang.
- 3:56Speaker 2: But it's pretty funny.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Pull it together, rookie. No banging on the table.
- 4:00Speaker 1: No listen, listen. My little brother's birthday is February fourteen,
- 4:05Speaker 1: Valentine's Day, and for me today is like super emotional
- 4:09Speaker 1: because it's just another day that like, my brother's by
- 4:12Speaker 1: himself on his birthday, meaning he doesn't have his dad.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Okay, but your brother has a girlfriend, a serious girlfriend,
- 4:19Speaker 2: And I talked to him today and he is, yeah,
- 4:21Speaker 2: he's happy. You're not like you're creating something that doesn't exist.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Your brother is very excited today, and I talked to him,
- 4:29Speaker 2: I said, you're I woke up next to your sister
- 4:32Speaker 2: and she has tears in her eyes, and I said,
- 4:34Speaker 2: please call her because it is an emotional date for
- 4:38Speaker 2: your dad. That I do know. I know that your
- 4:40Speaker 2: dad not being here, Daddy's girl. I got that part.
- 4:42Speaker 2: I get well, And I'm so older. Brother's not happy.
- 4:45Speaker 3: I know the life Easton's great.
- 4:48Speaker 1: It's me the thought of, like, oh, his birthday, dad,
- 4:52Speaker 1: And and as you get older, you're like not hanging out
- 4:54Speaker 1: with your family as much. You know, everyone like starts
- 4:57Speaker 1: getting boyfriends and girlfriends, and I'm like just another bird
- 5:00Speaker 1: birthday that he's like grown and we're not together.
- 5:02Speaker 3: It sucks.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Okay, but let's talk about your Valentine's Day. Let's just
- 5:05Speaker 2: talk about positivity.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Okay, Let's talk about what I got.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I got so much candy all over my closet and
- 5:15Speaker 1: then I got three cards, not just one that told
- 5:18Speaker 1: me how much Randall Emmett loves me.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Okay, thank you. So can we talk about the uplifting
- 5:23Speaker 2: part about Valentine's Day, not the negative? And you also
- 5:26Speaker 2: got to give you gotta got You also got a
- 5:28Speaker 2: pre Valentine's Day gift this week? Did you forget about that?
- 5:30Speaker 3: Wait? So was was the Chanel bag?
- 5:32Speaker 1: And I'm sorry, slash happy Valentine's Day?
- 5:37Speaker 3: Is that what it was? I mean, I think it's great.
- 5:42Speaker 3: I just didn't know that it was double meaning.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Okay, I'm moving on for this whole thing. You know
- 5:46Speaker 2: what you make Valentine like. I actually want to go
- 5:48Speaker 2: home now and just bury my head in the pillow.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Because that's what we all killed Valentine's Day.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Yes, and we're going to also have We're surprising each
- 5:56Speaker 2: other tonight, we said with romantic gestures.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Which neither one of us bow.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Okay, I got a little like Tim I meant like
- 6:04Speaker 2: a romantic dinner.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Randall's forty eight. I'm twenty nine. I still need bomb chicken. Wow, Wow,
- 6:12Speaker 1: time I'm wearing wan Gerie.
- 6:15Speaker 3: I got us a sexy game.
- 6:17Speaker 2: You got my attention?
- 6:18Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 6:18Speaker 3: Hello, Hi over here Valentine's Dinner. Get out of here.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Okay, you stopped me here like.
- 6:27Speaker 1: The one the one time that it's like we don't
- 6:30Speaker 1: even have to sit there and be like, hey, we
- 6:32Speaker 1: don't have kids, should we?
- 6:33Speaker 2: Like I want to ask you this, ask your producer
- 6:36Speaker 2: tim what he did for his girl this morning? Would
- 6:38Speaker 2: you do?
- 6:39Speaker 3: What did you do for your wife this morning?
- 6:40Speaker 4: Tim, Well, we celebrated last night, but tell us, Tim share.
- 6:44Speaker 4: We went to a place called Black Market Liquor Bar
- 6:48Speaker 4: in Studio City.
- 6:49Speaker 2: You got drinks, got drung. I did even get drunk.
- 6:51Speaker 4: But we had a couple a couple of coppa cocktails,
- 6:54Speaker 4: you know, vomitos, rappid doos, that's what they call them
- 6:56Speaker 4: at the Black Market Liquor Bar.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Okay, so that you get lucky.
- 7:00Speaker 1: After no comment, Good for you, Tim, Producer Timmy Banks.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Have I Timmy went at it. I'm very happy.
- 7:14Speaker 3: I'm also very excited. Yeah you're gonna have fun tonight,
- 7:19Speaker 3: I promise.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Okay, I'm excited.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Yeah, your heart's going to be racing. I've got the
- 7:24Speaker 1: paramedics on call just in case, you know, he has
- 7:27Speaker 1: a little too cardiac arrest. Okay, So today I also
- 7:33Speaker 1: want to celebrate Valentine's Day by preaching self love. Our
- 7:38Speaker 1: guest today is one of my best friends in the
- 7:42Speaker 1: entire world. We did not start off on the greatest foot,
- 7:47Speaker 1: and some people like an understatement, but because of that, I.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Fucking respect this bitch so much.
- 7:54Speaker 1: We went toes for like a couple of years, and
- 7:58Speaker 1: neither one of us like really caved until both of
- 8:01Speaker 1: us were like, you know what, let's apologize. And since
- 8:05Speaker 1: that day, which happened on the reunion oh season five, Okay,
- 8:10Speaker 1: we both apologized.
- 8:12Speaker 3: And now that bitch is in my mother effing wedding.
- 8:15Speaker 1: She's a brides maid, Katie freaking caloney wait, and.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Her husband is a groomsman. How cool is that? But
- 8:23Speaker 2: here's the thing, you know what, I agree with you.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I think so Look, I think what you were trying
- 8:26Speaker 2: to say in the beginning of this podcast self love
- 8:28Speaker 2: and self love, like ye, and I agree with you.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Can I just say this, I agree with you if
- 8:32Speaker 2: you don't have.
- 8:33Speaker 1: A signet on a tangent about how much I loved Katie.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Yes, but but I just want to say if you
- 8:38Speaker 2: have a significant if you don't have a significant lover,
- 8:41Speaker 2: like you can have self love and have the greatest
- 8:42Speaker 2: volunte to day. A lot of my friends tonight are
- 8:44Speaker 2: going to go out together in a big group, go
- 8:47Speaker 2: have fun, blasted out da da. I think I think
- 8:50Speaker 2: that's equally as fun, And then next year they'll probably
- 8:52Speaker 2: be in love and different kind voluns, I say, I
- 8:54Speaker 2: just think it's important that either you're showing love. If
- 8:57Speaker 2: it's your mom, your dad, your brother, your sister, you're
- 9:00Speaker 2: going to be an other adulge yourself. I think as
- 9:03Speaker 2: long as you're extra love is what I care about today.
- 9:05Speaker 2: But I want to say one thing. Katie and Tom.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Over these years, and I don't think a lot of
- 9:10Speaker 2: people know this about us, but I mean we travel
- 9:12Speaker 2: with them, they become really good friends to both of us.
- 9:14Speaker 2: And Katie I think is probably one of the most
- 9:17Speaker 2: grounded people I know, Like she doesn't really escalate. If
- 9:21Speaker 2: she doesn't like a hotel room, for sure, she'll check
- 9:24Speaker 2: the fuck out of that room and leave us hanging.
- 9:25Speaker 2: But other than that, then we'll get to that. Don't worry, Katie,
- 9:28Speaker 2: we got that coming. But other than that, I swear
- 9:30Speaker 2: to you Katie and Tom now I know why they're
- 9:33Speaker 2: together because Tom is like my kind of center. Like
- 9:36Speaker 2: if I hang out with Tom, I always feel like
- 9:38Speaker 2: I'm okay. He just makes you feel like life is
- 9:40Speaker 2: not that serious. And Katie, I think, just brings you
- 9:45Speaker 2: kind of the same ground in his She just keeps
- 9:47Speaker 2: it in perspective and she always tells it like it is,
- 9:50Speaker 2: and I think that's a misinterpretation, like me, like I'm
- 9:53Speaker 2: a bull in a China shop, and people will take
- 9:54Speaker 2: that as, oh, Randy's an asshole, Randall's Randy's just super error.
- 9:59Speaker 2: But I think that when people are truthful, and I
- 10:01Speaker 2: think Katie is very truthful but beyond sensitive as well,
- 10:05Speaker 2: and I think that's a misunderstanding.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I think, like you say, you know, yeah, and I
- 10:09Speaker 1: know Katie when cameras are off right and when she's
- 10:13Speaker 1: in a very vulnerable and sensitive place and what she
- 10:17Speaker 1: deals with on a day to day basis and still
- 10:21Speaker 1: like goes out into the world and freaking kills it.
- 10:25Speaker 1: I think is definitely an inspiration to many many people,
- 10:30Speaker 1: especially women.
- 10:31Speaker 2: And I think that I'm excited to have Katie here
- 10:35Speaker 2: on this to sit with us, because I think people
- 10:38Speaker 2: really will get to know Katie the way you know Katie,
- 10:42Speaker 2: the way I know Katie. And look, Katie's a badass.
- 10:44Speaker 2: I mean, Katie says it how it is, but it's
- 10:46Speaker 2: a Katy. She's very vulnerable like you, Yes, you both,
- 10:49Speaker 2: I know I know the both.
- 10:51Speaker 1: I know both Katies. I know when you go toes
- 10:54Speaker 1: with her, she don't fuck around. That's why I love her. Yeah,
- 10:56Speaker 1: and I know that she's like the sweetest and that's
- 10:59Speaker 1: that's my goal today.
- 11:02Speaker 2: By the way, I think that's.
- 11:03Speaker 3: See the real Katie Maloney.
- 11:05Speaker 2: And I think that was a great intro. I think
- 11:07Speaker 2: that before we bring Katie out here, I think we
- 11:09Speaker 2: got to go to the voicemails real quick, because I
- 11:11Speaker 2: love this is.
- 11:11Speaker 3: My favorite favorite part of the podcast.
- 11:13Speaker 2: I tell you why, it's my favorite part. Tell me
- 11:15Speaker 2: because every voice when we do, they they'll DM me right,
- 11:18Speaker 2: and then I get to repost it like I'm cool,
- 11:21Speaker 2: like somebody knows me, so I get it any following. Yeah,
- 11:24Speaker 2: every So if we did like two voice, two voicemails,
- 11:27Speaker 2: I get two new followers. So I'm very excited about that.
- 11:30Speaker 2: I love it. The important thing.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Should we listen to our first voicemail? Yep, Okay, thank guys.
- 11:35Speaker 5: So I was just wondering for Laala, when you're filming
- 11:38Speaker 5: your interviews, is it hard to always talk in the
- 11:41Speaker 5: present tense, because obviously using your interviews after everything happens,
- 11:46Speaker 5: and I feel like I would always want to talk
- 11:47Speaker 5: in the past tense. And for Randall, what do you
- 11:50Speaker 5: think Lala's most funny moment on Vandard Pump was thanks love.
- 11:54Speaker 6: You, guys.
- 11:55Speaker 3: I love this voicemail.
- 11:57Speaker 1: You know, it's not that hard to talk talk about
- 12:01Speaker 1: the past in the present because all of these things
- 12:04Speaker 1: really happen. So when they're asking you about these things
- 12:07Speaker 1: in the interviews, I started getting wound up again.
- 12:10Speaker 3: I'm like, yeah, you're right.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Fuck that bitch when she said that to me, you know,
- 12:15Speaker 1: And it's it's almost like therapy those interview sessions. I'm like,
- 12:19Speaker 1: thanks for the free therapy, guys. I feel great now,
- 12:22Speaker 1: you know. So, No, that part's not hard. My favorite
- 12:25Speaker 1: part of the question is what's your favorite vander Pump
- 12:27Speaker 1: moment of La La Kent.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Wow, let's talk about me some more.
- 12:31Speaker 6: Wow.
- 12:32Speaker 2: I honestly, and this is not a cop out. I
- 12:35Speaker 2: actually like all of it. I just think you're funniest shit.
- 12:38Speaker 1: I really do you even think BJ's for the pj's.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Okay, so you don't think all of it's funny?
- 12:46Speaker 2: That one is not. That was not my favorite?
- 12:48Speaker 3: What about like, let's get it Pop and Daddy?
- 12:51Speaker 2: Fine, Okay, we're going to other plant. I'm trying to
- 12:53Speaker 2: give you general landscape, Like what I love about you
- 12:55Speaker 2: on your show, honestly is that you are pretty authentic.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Whether I like it or not, you are as real
- 13:02Speaker 2: as it gets. Like Lala here, Lala at home, Lala
- 13:06Speaker 2: on the show doesn't change. There's no other gear. It's
- 13:08Speaker 2: not like, oh, we're going to Laala on TV, right.
- 13:11Speaker 2: I mean, you know Lala in the office and in life,
- 13:14Speaker 2: she doesn't have other gears. So that's the respect I
- 13:17Speaker 2: always give you. So it's hard like I would never
- 13:19Speaker 2: you know, in the four years we'll be going out,
- 13:21Speaker 2: I'd never try to edit you. There are a few
- 13:24Speaker 2: things like that line or two I wish you had
- 13:26Speaker 2: never said, but I don't really have a say over
- 13:29Speaker 2: things that come out of your mouth. So yeah, the
- 13:31Speaker 2: whole past.
- 13:32Speaker 1: And this is why I love him, because he's like,
- 13:34Speaker 1: that's Lala. You cannot censor someone who's almost thirty. This
- 13:39Speaker 1: is who I am, whether you like it or not,
- 13:40Speaker 1: I'm not changing. I'm sorry. My mom tried at a
- 13:44Speaker 1: young age. It didn't happen.
- 13:45Speaker 3: Everyone should give up. Yeah, Okay, that's what it is.
- 13:48Speaker 2: You just brought back a few moments that I could
- 13:50Speaker 2: let go. So let's move forward.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Right, Let's move forward to the next voicemail.
- 13:55Speaker 6: Hey, my name is Hillary. I love you guys on
- 13:59Speaker 6: the show. I'm really that Rand is on the show.
- 14:01Speaker 6: I think he's a pretty cool guy. I also like
- 14:03Speaker 6: his voice. Anyways, question for you, Laala. You know Katie
- 14:08Speaker 6: was really brutal and really disgusting a couple seasons ago,
- 14:12Speaker 6: just the nastiness and the attacking and the pointing fingers
- 14:16Speaker 6: about your relationship. And I'm just wondering how you guys
- 14:20Speaker 6: made up. And I know that you're really really close
- 14:22Speaker 6: right now, so would love to hear all about that.
- 14:25Speaker 6: And also love your pod show.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Bye Okay, I love this voicemail. And here's why. Let's
- 14:31Speaker 1: be very clear, Katie was nasty to me. Whila was
- 14:37Speaker 1: nasty to Katie. I made comments about I body shamed,
- 14:41Speaker 1: which still to this day is the most embarrassing moment
- 14:45Speaker 1: I've ever had on vander Pump Rules. I talked about
- 14:49Speaker 1: her relationship as well. I said things that were absolutely inappropriate,
- 14:54Speaker 1: and I respect her for not punching me in the face,
- 14:57Speaker 1: because if someone said the thing about you and I
- 15:02Speaker 1: that I said to about Schwartzy, I would have decked them.
- 15:07Speaker 1: So people love to talk about, oh but Katie did
- 15:10Speaker 1: this to you, and it's like, okay, but let's switch this,
- 15:12Speaker 1: let's think about what I also did to Katie.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Yeah, and I also think, just to add to close
- 15:17Speaker 2: this out, I agree with all that. And I think
- 15:20Speaker 2: that Katie didn't know you at the time. She didn't
- 15:23Speaker 2: know our relationship at the time because I wasn't anywhere around.
- 15:27Speaker 2: And I think that you didn't know Katie. And I
- 15:29Speaker 2: think the two of you through time became best friends
- 15:33Speaker 2: because that's life, that's what happens. People don't it's a misunderstanding.
- 15:37Speaker 2: I think you misunderstood her, she misunderstood you. Today, when
- 15:40Speaker 2: we're on vacation in places, I'm like, it's like you
- 15:43Speaker 2: guys have known each other for twenty years.
- 15:44Speaker 1: So I can't even think of a time that we
- 15:47Speaker 1: It's very hard to look back at that time.
- 15:49Speaker 3: It is. I can't even fathom doing that to her again.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Right, So I think I think we should have Miss
- 15:55Speaker 1: Katie Maloney Schwartz join us.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Yes about that time.
- 15:59Speaker 2: I agree.
- 16:09Speaker 1: We have the infamous bad Bitch Katie Maloney shorts and
- 16:13Speaker 1: the mother effing building, and the building today is Sir restaurant.
- 16:18Speaker 3: All began. We're literally sitting in the VIP and this
- 16:20Speaker 3: is my.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Favorite part of Katie Welcome the Mothership. Hi, we're so
- 16:25Speaker 2: it's like hanging out. It's like we're like, we could
- 16:28Speaker 2: be anywhere right now. But exactly, I just want to say,
- 16:31Speaker 2: because it is odd, at least for me, that we're
- 16:34Speaker 2: here where it all started. You started, Just to refresh,
- 16:37Speaker 2: you started here eight years ago?
- 16:39Speaker 4: No, I started. I got hired here in two thousand
- 16:42Speaker 4: and nine.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Oh my goodness.
- 16:43Speaker 4: Yeah eleven years a yeah, years ago, a lifetime.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Wait, it just tell me what that was like in
- 16:49Speaker 2: a nutshell, just what happened? How did you get here?
- 16:52Speaker 2: And then how did you get on the show.
- 16:53Speaker 5: Well?
- 16:53Speaker 4: I came here for dinner one time and I loved it,
- 16:56Speaker 4: and I was like, I want to work here. I
- 16:58Speaker 4: mean it's it's I mean, it's such a cool place
- 17:00Speaker 4: to come and have dinner and I like the vibe
- 17:02Speaker 4: and I just wanted to work here and I might
- 17:04Speaker 4: Giarma the first time I came, and of course he's like,
- 17:07Speaker 4: here's my card, like if you never need anything, And
- 17:09Speaker 4: so I like emailed him and I was like are
- 17:11Speaker 4: you hiring? And he's like, we'll bring your resume and
- 17:13Speaker 4: they were hiring and I was like, okay, well even
- 17:15Speaker 4: if it's in like three months, from now, like, give
- 17:17Speaker 4: me a call, and I swear almost three months of
- 17:20Speaker 4: the day he called me and I was working on
- 17:21Speaker 4: my other job and I was like, wait, what was that?
- 17:24Speaker 4: What was that Barney's beanery?
- 17:25Speaker 2: Yeah, this is so great. So he calls you says
- 17:29Speaker 2: come in.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Yeah, come in, and so I, yeah, I started training.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Okay, Now how long is it from the time you
- 17:37Speaker 2: started training to the time A you met Tom and
- 17:39Speaker 2: b you got on the show. This's all happened?
- 17:42Speaker 4: Okay, so it was probably that was October two thousand
- 17:46Speaker 4: and nine. I met Tom. I would say, June May,
- 17:52Speaker 4: June of twenty ten.
- 17:54Speaker 3: Wow, okay, wow, you were brand new.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:58Speaker 2: And then when there's a show come into life? How
- 18:01Speaker 2: does that happen?
- 18:02Speaker 4: That was probably two thousand and twelve to the pilot
- 18:10Speaker 4: and all of that, and.
- 18:11Speaker 3: What did they say?
- 18:12Speaker 1: They just like came into the restaurant. They were like, hey,
- 18:14Speaker 1: we're gonna film you guys.
- 18:15Speaker 4: Yes, So how so I started working here before the
- 18:18Speaker 4: Real Housewives started all of that. So we thought because
- 18:23Speaker 4: this was before the lounge had opened, so they called
- 18:24Speaker 4: a meeting. We thought it was going to be a
- 18:26Speaker 4: meeting about the lounge and what was going to happen
- 18:29Speaker 4: and just sort of sort of that kind of information
- 18:31Speaker 4: and we got here and they're like, so we want
- 18:35Speaker 4: to do a show here about you guys. It was
- 18:39Speaker 4: a whole it was like, this whole staff was here
- 18:41Speaker 4: and they're like, if anyone's not interested, you can leave.
- 18:43Speaker 4: Those of those of you who are interested stay.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Did a lot of people leave?
- 18:47Speaker 4: So yeah, some people left?
- 18:49Speaker 7: Really yeah, wow, oh they fucked us.
- 18:54Speaker 4: But me, krist and Stacia looked at each other. We're like,
- 18:57Speaker 4: we got this.
- 18:59Speaker 2: That's what they do.
- 19:01Speaker 3: They do. Got this.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Yeah, you basically ran. So from that point on you
- 19:05Speaker 2: start filming. Yeah, and then when's like the first time
- 19:08Speaker 2: you realize, oh my god, I'm recognizable? Like when does that?
- 19:10Speaker 2: Because I always ask my actor friends in my movies,
- 19:12Speaker 2: I always say like, there's people don't like to ask
- 19:14Speaker 2: that question, But when is the first moment where you
- 19:16Speaker 2: walk outside and somebody comes up to you goes, oh
- 19:18Speaker 2: my god, Katie, we're a fan, Like do you remember
- 19:21Speaker 2: even that moment?
- 19:22Speaker 4: A lot of people would look at me and ask
- 19:24Speaker 4: me like, did you go to this high school? Like
- 19:26Speaker 4: everyone thought I like they just recognized me from somewhere
- 19:29Speaker 4: and then they're like, oh, never It was a lot
- 19:32Speaker 4: of things they couldn't place me. Yeah, and then yeah,
- 19:35Speaker 4: so it just was it sort of slowly.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Hopped slowly and then the show and then and then
- 19:41Speaker 2: the show explodes and you guys.
- 19:43Speaker 3: Can't go in in and now they know for damn sure,
- 19:45Speaker 3: they didn't go to high school with her, they know
- 19:46Speaker 3: she's Yeah.
- 19:47Speaker 4: I guess I guess it was when I guess it
- 19:49Speaker 4: was when other like celebrities started recognizing.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Like, oh, because because Hollywood, which is great, which is
- 19:55Speaker 2: great because half of my industry. Obviously, even before I
- 19:58Speaker 2: met Lala, like we were all like, oh my god,
- 20:01Speaker 2: Vanner Purple is the best show. They go crazy, they
- 20:04Speaker 2: do crazy. No, I mean, you guys, how many people
- 20:06Speaker 2: in Hollywood? You know we're big fans. So I thought, yeah,
- 20:09Speaker 2: all right, I thought that. I thought, I just think
- 20:11Speaker 2: it's cool to hear like the origins, because I don't
- 20:13Speaker 2: think people really know, like ten eleven years you've been
- 20:16Speaker 2: at this, that's a career, that star.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, it's a long time.
- 20:20Speaker 2: I know.
- 20:21Speaker 1: But how amazing that the place that she really wanted
- 20:24Speaker 1: to work at because it was chic, and then like
- 20:27Speaker 1: that was going to be her life story, like the
- 20:32Speaker 1: place I really wanted to work, just decided to do
- 20:34Speaker 1: a TV show with my friends and it was a
- 20:36Speaker 1: huge success. And now we're buying houses and whatnot.
- 20:40Speaker 2: It's insane. Not my houses, I mean giving you a
- 20:44Speaker 2: life that the origin of this place. You know. Obviously,
- 20:46Speaker 2: your personality, the cast personality, you know, creates the success
- 20:51Speaker 2: of the show. But it is pretty cool that we're
- 20:52Speaker 2: sitting here in the place where you were taking orders
- 20:56Speaker 2: at a restaurant. Now you're, you know, a superstar.
- 20:59Speaker 4: I think it's it's crazy because in LA we all
- 21:02Speaker 4: take jobs at restaurants just as it means to an
- 21:05Speaker 4: end to hopefully end up on TV in another capacity.
- 21:09Speaker 4: You never think that taking a job at that restaurant
- 21:12Speaker 4: is going to put you on TV. You know what
- 21:14Speaker 4: I mean. It's right, it's very Yeah, it's crazy.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Crazy, yeah, because that same type of it all starts
- 21:21Speaker 1: with I went to sir just to have dinner.
- 21:24Speaker 3: It's the same thing with me.
- 21:25Speaker 1: I went to sort of just simply have dinner, and
- 21:27Speaker 1: then all of the sudden, you know, the OG's welcome
- 21:30Speaker 1: me onto the cast. And five years completed a lot
- 21:34Speaker 1: of rough patches, and then it's like the best time
- 21:37Speaker 1: ever However, a lot of things come with being on
- 21:41Speaker 1: a reality TV show because people think they can talk
- 21:44Speaker 1: to you a different way than they would obviously talk
- 21:46Speaker 1: to Jennifer Aniston, you know, yeah, and Katie knows a
- 21:50Speaker 1: lot about that. So what is it like when you
- 21:54Speaker 1: you know, you went to the Oscar brunch, you looked
- 21:58Speaker 1: chic af and I saw that you posted something that
- 22:02Speaker 1: someone had commented this is this year?
- 22:05Speaker 3: This just happened. I wanted to physically assault the person
- 22:11Speaker 3: that she's going to tell.
- 22:12Speaker 8: You, so I want to Oh yeah, So myself, Saucy
- 22:18Speaker 8: Brittany and then Tom Jacks and bo we got invited
- 22:22Speaker 8: to the E had like a pre Oscar brunch.
- 22:26Speaker 4: It was like a show that they had worth like
- 22:27Speaker 4: all kinds of different segments and maybe dictionary so like,
- 22:30Speaker 4: so the thing was like a brunch. Like I wasn't
- 22:34Speaker 4: supposed to dressed, like I'm going to the Oscars. I
- 22:37Speaker 4: was like, okay, well, let me just wear So I
- 22:39Speaker 4: wanted to wear something that was like Parisian chic and
- 22:44Speaker 4: like you know, Chanelle Carrie Bradshaw. So I yeah, I
- 22:47Speaker 4: put on a skirt that I got from Paris. Okay,
- 22:51Speaker 4: with a little like cute blazer and everything, and like Saucy.
- 22:54Speaker 4: I sent a picture of Saucy. She goes, oh my god, yes,
- 22:56Speaker 4: it's like cool. They didn't think anything of it, and
- 22:58Speaker 4: then Brittany posted a picture of it, and then of
- 23:01Speaker 4: course all the comments were dominated just by everyone hating
- 23:04Speaker 4: on my outfit, which I'm used to it. People don't like,
- 23:07Speaker 4: how do you.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Deal with it? How do you deal with that? Because
- 23:09Speaker 2: you're such a nice person. I know you for a
- 23:11Speaker 2: long time. Now, how like when this first started, I
- 23:14Speaker 2: got a lot of mean comments about my weight and
- 23:16Speaker 2: things like that. I mean, she knows, and like I
- 23:19Speaker 2: flipped out in the beginning. Now I've turned it out.
- 23:22Speaker 2: But you've been doing this for ten years. So how
- 23:23Speaker 2: do you take it? Does it put you into a
- 23:28Speaker 2: like retreat or does it make you attack or do
- 23:30Speaker 2: you just not give a shit?
- 23:31Speaker 4: It depends on what they're saying, what they go in for.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Well, the comment that you circled and reposted on your institutions,
- 23:38Speaker 1: let's talk about that.
- 23:39Speaker 4: So this person she had said, I don't think it's
- 23:43Speaker 4: so much of the outfit. It's about the fact that
- 23:45Speaker 4: she gained weight, and if she was in shape, the
- 23:48Speaker 4: outpha wouldn't look bad.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Oh that's gross.
- 23:50Speaker 4: It's also her personality and her I feel bad for
- 23:55Speaker 4: her husband because she probably never had sex with him.
- 23:57Speaker 4: I mean, she just what she just went like for
- 24:00Speaker 4: it all. And I really tried. I've gotten to I've
- 24:08Speaker 4: just I try to not look at the comments because
- 24:12Speaker 4: I know what's there and if I go look at them,
- 24:15Speaker 4: it will it will affect me. It will affect me
- 24:18Speaker 4: because I have I have yes, I have a thick skin.
- 24:21Speaker 4: And I try to remind myself that these are strangers.
- 24:24Speaker 4: I don't know them, their opinions.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Really strangers in a dark room, who are who will
- 24:29Speaker 2: never come out of that room? Right, it's all hide
- 24:31Speaker 2: behind a screen because but at the same time, you're
- 24:34Speaker 2: a human being.
- 24:34Speaker 4: But I'm a human being, of course. But I saw
- 24:37Speaker 4: this one and it just like really stood out to
- 24:39Speaker 4: me as just being exceptionally evil. Wow, And I just
- 24:44Speaker 4: was like no, And so I just decided that I'm
- 24:47Speaker 4: just like you know what, I just I'm just gonna
- 24:49Speaker 4: go ahead and just put this on my story. Good
- 24:51Speaker 4: good for you, because I just think this is disgusting
- 24:54Speaker 4: and inappropriate and I don't care who gets mad at me.
- 24:57Speaker 4: I just think that I want all my followers, right.
- 25:02Speaker 2: And maybe and maybe that'll distract some people from not
- 25:05Speaker 2: saying shit like that.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Did you get a lot of people in the DMS
- 25:08Speaker 1: that were like, I can't believe someone would.
- 25:09Speaker 4: Say that to you. Oh yes, yeah, no I And
- 25:12Speaker 4: of course I have a lot of people that were like,
- 25:14Speaker 4: don't listen to that. I think you look awesome and
- 25:16Speaker 4: you know, and I appreciate that love and support, but
- 25:18Speaker 4: it's just, you know, I didn't cry about that, you know,
- 25:23Speaker 4: it was It wasn't like I was like sad and oppressed.
- 25:25Speaker 4: It was just more like, wow, like this person is
- 25:28Speaker 4: a monster.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Yeah exactly. I have had people say really horrible things
- 25:33Speaker 2: like that, even worse like I should die or things
- 25:36Speaker 2: like that. Yeah, and I blasted a few of them.
- 25:38Speaker 2: I just think the fact that people think they can
- 25:41Speaker 2: just spew anything because their own miserable life, it's just
- 25:46Speaker 2: not they.
- 25:47Speaker 4: Think they can say it to me because of the
- 25:49Speaker 4: horrible things I've said to other people. They think I
- 25:52Speaker 4: deserve it because I'm not a nice person, or because
- 25:55Speaker 4: I've said mean things to Lalla or to you know,
- 25:59Speaker 4: I got James fired, and they backed me into this
- 26:01Speaker 4: corner of like, well, I can't say anything because I've
- 26:05Speaker 4: done and said this, I know, but.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Don't make a right exactly.
- 26:09Speaker 3: It's not a tit for tat. But let's let's make
- 26:12Speaker 3: something very clear.
- 26:13Speaker 1: When people are watching us on television, everyone involved.
- 26:18Speaker 3: On the show is going toes with each other.
- 26:21Speaker 1: If Katie's going toes with someone, it's because they've said
- 26:23Speaker 1: something on the show. It's definitely a tit for tat
- 26:26Speaker 1: type of thing. But as an outsider, you watching the
- 26:31Speaker 1: show are not Captain save the weakest link, No, And
- 26:36Speaker 1: they think that that's okay, and they want to talk
- 26:38Speaker 1: to you about your behavior in certain scenes, and it's like, okay,
- 26:42Speaker 1: but let's remember how long we film. Let's remember that
- 26:45Speaker 1: these scenes are cut into an hour long episode, and
- 26:48Speaker 1: it's not your job to say anything except sit your
- 26:51Speaker 1: ass on the couch and enjoy your fucking Tuesday night.
- 26:54Speaker 4: You were not there, like these people were not there.
- 26:57Speaker 4: Just because they're watching something on TV does not mean
- 27:01Speaker 4: that you were there and that you can speak on.
- 27:03Speaker 2: By the way, come on, and in all respect to that,
- 27:06Speaker 2: I've seen you guys all have your moments, but at
- 27:09Speaker 2: the end of the day, I've also seen I'm sorry,
- 27:13Speaker 2: let's not do that again. We can be better than that.
- 27:15Speaker 2: I've seen it from all of you guys, not just Jack's.
- 27:18Speaker 2: I've seen it with Tom. I've seen it. So the
- 27:20Speaker 2: part that these people saying these things, they don't see
- 27:22Speaker 2: the part where it's like, hey, I love you, I
- 27:24Speaker 2: made a mistake, let's be better. And none of these
- 27:27Speaker 2: people on the internet when they say this shite ever,
- 27:30Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you an well.
- 27:31Speaker 4: I feel like they do see that they've seen my apologies.
- 27:35Speaker 4: They've seen apologies with me a lot that they just
- 27:37Speaker 4: don't want to remember those.
- 27:39Speaker 2: They want to go to the bad stuff.
- 27:40Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 27:41Speaker 2: And I'll say one of the things I've gone after
- 27:43Speaker 2: people on the internet who've come after me, and a
- 27:45Speaker 2: lot of times they'll flip their whole tune and say, oh,
- 27:47Speaker 2: I didn't know you're a real person or favor Yeah
- 27:50Speaker 2: I didn't know you. I thought this was like somewhere.
- 27:53Speaker 2: I'm like, so, wait, that makes it okay that you
- 27:55Speaker 2: could talk. So I feel for you guys, because you
- 27:58Speaker 2: guys have it that times where I want to ask
- 28:01Speaker 2: one thing, this this fall that I that I heard
- 28:04Speaker 2: about that I never had a real conversation with you about,
- 28:07Speaker 2: can you just tell me what happened? Because I know
- 28:09Speaker 2: it's a big deal in your life, and yeah, this
- 28:12Speaker 2: was traumatizing on every level. I just what, how did
- 28:15Speaker 2: this all happen?
- 28:15Speaker 4: Okay, so it actually happened right around the time I
- 28:19Speaker 4: got hired here. It was like right when I finished
- 28:22Speaker 4: my training here and I was supposed to start my shift.
- 28:24Speaker 4: So the night before I was supposed to start my
- 28:25Speaker 4: first shift here, I was hanging out with my friends
- 28:28Speaker 4: at one of their apartment buildings on the roof, and
- 28:32Speaker 4: it was very chill. It wasn't like I was going
- 28:34Speaker 4: wild or anything. That I sat on an old skylight.
- 28:37Speaker 4: It was a big, massive, old skylight and I sat
- 28:40Speaker 4: on it and it broke. I fell twenty five feet
- 28:44Speaker 4: and landed on a staircase and had brain injury. I
- 28:49Speaker 4: broke my collarbone, I broke my jaw pretty much all
- 28:53Speaker 4: my ribs on my right side. Oh my, I didn't
- 28:56Speaker 4: remember anything. I don't remember following.
- 28:58Speaker 2: I don't remember. No.
- 28:59Speaker 4: I think it's traum an, Thank God.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Okay, wake up, you're in the hospital.
- 29:03Speaker 4: I see you.
- 29:04Speaker 2: Yeah, how many days before you come out of it? Oh?
- 29:07Speaker 2: I mean right away?
- 29:08Speaker 5: Then?
- 29:08Speaker 4: Not right away? But yeah, like I woke up and
- 29:13Speaker 4: my mom was.
- 29:13Speaker 2: There and oh my god, I can't.
- 29:15Speaker 4: I have some family there and everyone is like terrified,
- 29:18Speaker 4: and I'm just like, what's Yeah, They're explaining to me
- 29:22Speaker 4: what happens because I want a morphine. I'm like, what's
- 29:26Speaker 4: up everybody? And everyone's like, oh my god, and I'm
- 29:30Speaker 4: just like thanks for coming.
- 29:34Speaker 2: I mean you thought it was like a little party
- 29:35Speaker 2: just to hang out.
- 29:36Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, when you're on the morphine, how.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Long are you in the hospital before to recover?
- 29:42Speaker 4: I was there for like three three to four days before.
- 29:46Speaker 4: They like because when you when you have a brain injury,
- 29:50Speaker 4: they want to make sure that the bleeding stops right.
- 29:53Speaker 4: And they also had to wire my jaw shuts because
- 29:55Speaker 4: it was was that. How long was that I had
- 29:57Speaker 4: my jaw wire? Chef for like six weeks?
- 30:00Speaker 2: When you say shut okay, because I hear this.
- 30:02Speaker 3: All West sipping, sippin'.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Uh you never had a piece of hard food.
- 30:09Speaker 4: No, I could not chew.
- 30:11Speaker 2: I lose my ship. I thought it was.
- 30:13Speaker 4: It was awful. I was awful, and I had to
- 30:15Speaker 4: have a titanium plate. I screwed to my job because
- 30:18Speaker 4: it was not healing.
- 30:20Speaker 2: This is by far the worst story in a long time.
- 30:23Speaker 2: That is horrible.
- 30:24Speaker 4: Yeah, it was.
- 30:24Speaker 2: This is horrible. Yeah wow wow.
- 30:28Speaker 1: But after you said something to me that was really interesting.
- 30:34Speaker 1: And this was like a couple of weeks ago. But
- 30:36Speaker 1: we were at your house and you were like, I
- 30:39Speaker 1: don't after my accident, I didn't feel like myself. You
- 30:42Speaker 1: were like, I used to be cool. I like I
- 30:44Speaker 1: used to be chill and cool. Yeah.
- 30:47Speaker 3: I was like, well to me, you're still chilling cool.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Like what did you feel like it affected after that
- 30:52Speaker 1: your day to day life and how.
- 30:54Speaker 3: You felt about certain things.
- 30:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean traumatic brain injuries can alter your personality
- 31:01Speaker 4: for sure.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 31:02Speaker 4: So yeah, I feel like I was someone that was
- 31:04Speaker 4: very easy going and very relaxed and very like just
- 31:08Speaker 4: like it's all good, you know, and so so yeah,
- 31:10Speaker 4: now I feel like I do sometimes get angry a
- 31:15Speaker 4: lot faster.
- 31:16Speaker 2: I spie quicker.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Yeah right.
- 31:20Speaker 4: Short refuse is a lot shorter, but.
- 31:22Speaker 2: More about specific things or just it can just happen,
- 31:25Speaker 2: meaning are the things that trigger yours it just like
- 31:29Speaker 2: you just you used to have more.
- 31:30Speaker 4: Patience exactly, Okay, Yeah, yeah, I just I feel like
- 31:34Speaker 4: my tolerance for things, it's just it's just not that.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Yeah, and you notice that that happened after your ecology
- 31:41Speaker 3: A lot.
- 31:41Speaker 4: Yeah, a lot of yeah, just there was there. It
- 31:43Speaker 4: was just like a shift and sort of getting use
- 31:46Speaker 4: to being inside my head again and sort of it
- 31:50Speaker 4: just it's weird where it's hard to describe. It's really
- 31:53Speaker 4: hard to articulate because it's it was the process of
- 31:56Speaker 4: figuring things out and still almost figuring it out and
- 31:59Speaker 4: trying to remember things in my memory even like it's weird.
- 32:04Speaker 4: I can I can remember things from a million years ago,
- 32:06Speaker 4: and then there's some things just like a complete black
- 32:08Speaker 4: I don't remember like sections of my life right, which
- 32:11Speaker 4: is weird.
- 32:12Speaker 2: Before we go to break, because we're gonna take a
- 32:13Speaker 2: break real quick, I just want to ask how long
- 32:15Speaker 2: before you were mobile again, your jaw wasn't wired shot
- 32:19Speaker 2: where you started to feel like yourself again? How how
- 32:21Speaker 2: many weeks? How many months? Year?
- 32:24Speaker 4: I mean, But so this happened November ninth. I was
- 32:28Speaker 4: able to like sort of come back to work and
- 32:32Speaker 4: be back in the like the beginning of January.
- 32:36Speaker 2: That's a serious I'm shocked, but it was.
- 32:40Speaker 4: I still was like healing. I still had in my
- 32:44Speaker 4: face and I still like had dental stuff. I had
- 32:46Speaker 4: to do there was still you know, and then and
- 32:48Speaker 4: then came like the emotional and like mental, Yes you
- 32:54Speaker 4: had that's what I was gonna ask.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Yeah, you had to have major PTSD. H Okay for sure.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Well I'm glad you're here because that's insane and God,
- 33:04Speaker 2: thank god you're able to sit here and talk about it,
- 33:06Speaker 2: because I'm sure a lot of people who sustain that
- 33:08Speaker 2: kind of fall.
- 33:09Speaker 4: Could don't get to.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, we're back with the amazing Haiti and
- 33:23Speaker 2: La la, both of you.
- 33:24Speaker 3: We're back.
- 33:25Speaker 1: So I want to get back into after your fall,
- 33:29Speaker 1: the PTSD that you experienced after because there was a
- 33:32Speaker 1: time that you and I were being bougie on a
- 33:34Speaker 1: yacht somewhere and I was like, do you want to
- 33:37Speaker 1: jump off the top with me?
- 33:39Speaker 3: And you were like, I don't take risks like that.
- 33:42Speaker 3: I like, I'm good.
- 33:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I it's not like a fear of heights thing,
- 33:47Speaker 4: but I feel I after my accident I went through
- 33:50Speaker 4: with the PTSD, there was a lot of like survivor's
- 33:54Speaker 4: guilt because yeah, there's a lot of people who went
- 33:57Speaker 4: through a similar thing who weren't as lucky, who can
- 34:00Speaker 4: realized who didn't survive. And so when I've sat there
- 34:04Speaker 4: for a long time, I'm like, well, why was I
- 34:06Speaker 4: so lucky? Like why why?
- 34:08Speaker 3: Which is which?
- 34:10Speaker 4: Which is kind of morbid in itself, But you can't
- 34:12Speaker 4: help but have those thoughts.
- 34:14Speaker 2: And I was lucky one of their people in wheelchairs exactly.
- 34:17Speaker 4: And so you want to think like, oh, well, I
- 34:18Speaker 4: guess that means I'm destined for something, But you don't
- 34:20Speaker 4: think like that. It's a very weird, hard thing to
- 34:25Speaker 4: get sort of comfortable with and gets your head.
- 34:27Speaker 2: You're in a dark place for a long time after that,
- 34:30Speaker 2: just because you were trying to the struggle of just
- 34:32Speaker 2: the PTSD or were you.
- 34:34Speaker 4: It was like it was it would come and go.
- 34:37Speaker 4: Because I was so happy and excited to get back
- 34:39Speaker 4: into my life, and because I was, I went to
- 34:42Speaker 4: Vegas to like heal my grandma, My grandparents lived there,
- 34:47Speaker 4: so like that's why I went and saw an oral specialist.
- 34:50Speaker 4: And so yeah, it was more comfortable there than being
- 34:52Speaker 4: in my apartment here with no one to help me.
- 34:55Speaker 4: So yeah, I was so excited to come back to
- 34:56Speaker 4: la and be with my friends and come back to
- 34:58Speaker 4: my job to get exactly. And so I was so
- 35:03Speaker 4: focused on that that once I came back, I was like,
- 35:06Speaker 4: oh gosh, like this is weird, and I feel like
- 35:09Speaker 4: my life didn't feel quite like my own anymore. And
- 35:11Speaker 4: I was like I was, you know before I wanted
- 35:14Speaker 4: to do acting, and I was like, not even sure
- 35:16Speaker 4: I wanted to do that anymore, because I was like,
- 35:17Speaker 4: life is so uncertain that I want to feel like
- 35:20Speaker 4: I can do something that in your what you thought
- 35:24Speaker 4: matter is something that I was in control of. That's when, yeah,
- 35:29Speaker 4: you have to go out on auditions and it's so subjective.
- 35:31Speaker 4: It's like I can't. I'm not like I want to do.
- 35:33Speaker 4: So I then was like, you know, I've always been
- 35:36Speaker 4: interested in working in like the music industry, so that's
- 35:39Speaker 4: when I decided I wanted to go and try to
- 35:41Speaker 4: get you know, an internship at a record label. And
- 35:44Speaker 4: I just I kind of started to switch gears so
- 35:46Speaker 4: slowly over time, but like I just like really started
- 35:48Speaker 4: like kind of focusing my attention that way. But but yeah,
- 35:53Speaker 4: over time, like you do, like it would come in
- 35:55Speaker 4: like waves of being like sort of depressed and in
- 35:58Speaker 4: a dark place and not understanding, and also there's a
- 36:01Speaker 4: lot of like new thoughts and feelings and frustrations and yes,
- 36:05Speaker 4: having like that short fuse all of a sudden and
- 36:07Speaker 4: not and not feeling happy all the time like I
- 36:11Speaker 4: was just I was so easy going, always so like
- 36:13Speaker 4: I mean I was. I was always sassy and always like.
- 36:16Speaker 2: A little like yeah, but that's that's makes you.
- 36:18Speaker 4: I was always like me, but now there was like
- 36:21Speaker 4: a little bit of a dark darker to me.
- 36:24Speaker 2: But that's I think what I'm most attrigued by this
- 36:26Speaker 2: whole thing, because I can't imagine. I was just trying
- 36:29Speaker 2: to think through while you're talking about the whole thing,
- 36:32Speaker 2: like and I fell, I'm in the hospital. I don't
- 36:35Speaker 2: think I'd ever be the same now. Would Would there
- 36:37Speaker 2: be parts of Randall that you'd still know? Of course?
- 36:40Speaker 2: But yeah, but I think there's a piece of myself
- 36:43Speaker 2: that I'm going to lose when I fall off. When
- 36:45Speaker 2: I fall, you know, like that, and then it's never
- 36:47Speaker 2: going to come back. But what do I become then?
- 36:50Speaker 2: How do I I don't know. I just I'm very
- 36:52Speaker 2: intrigued by this because I just think it's such a
- 36:55Speaker 2: life altering chip.
- 36:57Speaker 4: It is omen when you're twenty four, I think, Yeah,
- 37:00Speaker 4: when I was twenty four and you're face with mortality
- 37:03Speaker 4: in that way you shouldn't. You shouldn't be thinking about
- 37:06Speaker 4: that kind of stuff when you're that age. You should
- 37:07Speaker 4: be like, I have my whole life ahead of me.
- 37:08Speaker 4: But here I am being like, okay, well maybe if
- 37:12Speaker 4: I don't have my whole life ahead of me, right,
- 37:14Speaker 4: And I all of a sudden like I better figure
- 37:15Speaker 4: something out. And there's pressures and there's thoughts in my
- 37:19Speaker 4: head that I never wanted to have, and just trying
- 37:22Speaker 4: to figure it all out at one time was really consuming.
- 37:26Speaker 2: And I'll tell you, I'll say this last thing about mortality.
- 37:28Speaker 2: It's like I understand that because at twenty four I
- 37:31Speaker 2: thought I would live forever, and at forty eight having children.
- 37:35Speaker 2: The minute I had kids, I definitely start thinking about
- 37:38Speaker 2: the clock. I mean tim you know, right, So once
- 37:41Speaker 2: you have kids, you know you start thinking, oh my god, Okay,
- 37:44Speaker 2: they're gonna graduate, I'm gonna be this age, they're gonna
- 37:46Speaker 2: be in college, they're going to have babies at this age,
- 37:48Speaker 2: and will I even be around at that age. So
- 37:51Speaker 2: for you to say that, I can understand now it
- 37:53Speaker 2: makes more sense to me. At twenty four, you should
- 37:56Speaker 2: never be thinking about that shit. So the fact that
- 37:58Speaker 2: you fell from a building and we're in the hospital
- 38:01Speaker 2: trying to possibly going to die. That makes sense. I
- 38:05Speaker 2: think why your life was changed for the next you know,
- 38:07Speaker 2: for the rest of your life, and I think at
- 38:09Speaker 2: twenty four you should never have to face that. Yeah,
- 38:12Speaker 2: but I also kind I said, one last second, I'd
- 38:13Speaker 2: be quiet. I promise you no, I promise I'll shut
- 38:15Speaker 2: up ever face. But I think that when you have children,
- 38:18Speaker 2: the uplift from this is I think, obviously you're always
- 38:21Speaker 2: going to be a great mother, but now I think
- 38:23Speaker 2: you'll really, you know, just cherish every second, every second
- 38:28Speaker 2: because you've been in a place at twenty four that
- 38:30Speaker 2: you should have never been in. And now even you
- 38:32Speaker 2: know what I'm saying, like, you know, she's going to
- 38:34Speaker 2: be a great mother no matter what. But I think
- 38:36Speaker 2: you'll cherish every second, every minute.
- 38:39Speaker 3: Because yeah, she has a different outlook right right, because.
- 38:41Speaker 2: You had to face that shit at an asia. Shit
- 38:43Speaker 2: never have face.
- 38:44Speaker 4: I think sometimes, yes, well, thank you, use just time
- 38:48Speaker 4: is going to mean something different to you than it
- 38:50Speaker 4: would mean every parent.
- 38:52Speaker 2: When you have a child, you face your mortality because
- 38:55Speaker 2: you start adding up the clock and it's the worst
- 38:57Speaker 2: thing you ever do as a parent, because you start
- 38:59Speaker 2: going there seven. Got No, it's not it's not depressing.
- 39:05Speaker 2: You know what it does. It makes you when they're
- 39:07Speaker 2: screaming the back room, or they're or they're terrorizing the
- 39:10Speaker 2: living room. It just makes you go, you know, when
- 39:13Speaker 2: I'm lucky to have this most that's all perspective. Yes,
- 39:16Speaker 2: it's not a depressing thing. It's just like, Okay, I'm
- 39:19Speaker 2: gonna suck it up when I've lost all patients and
- 39:21Speaker 2: I need five minutes to myself, you know, and Laala,
- 39:24Speaker 2: you know, has to face that now is a step mom.
- 39:27Speaker 4: But it's a lot of work.
- 39:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm like, do I want to be a biological parent?
- 39:33Speaker 2: I don't know. Please, but but I'll tell you it's
- 39:37Speaker 2: I just think that, you know, you had to have
- 39:40Speaker 2: that perspective way earlier than you're supposed to, and I
- 39:42Speaker 2: think that's what I've realized now. And I give you
- 39:44Speaker 2: a lot of props for getting through that stuff.
- 39:46Speaker 1: What about so you were left with some scars on
- 39:50Speaker 1: your face, which, by the way, every time I see no,
- 39:54Speaker 1: you don't notice them unless she points.
- 39:56Speaker 2: Them out, Okay, and then yes, yeah, I never.
- 40:00Speaker 3: They're barely they're pretty badass. I will say, thank you.
- 40:04Speaker 3: I'm like that though I know that was.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:06Speaker 4: One thing when I was when I was going through
- 40:07Speaker 4: like the whole healing process, was that they're like, do
- 40:11Speaker 4: you want to see plastic surgeon for your scars because
- 40:14Speaker 4: you know that you might leave a mark. And when
- 40:16Speaker 4: I was, you know, pursuing acting at the time, that
- 40:18Speaker 4: was something that maybe would have been important. I was
- 40:20Speaker 4: just like, No, these are badass, I'm going to keep them.
- 40:23Speaker 4: Like as Tina fe has a cool scorse, I was like,
- 40:26Speaker 4: this is like distinguished and this is like it's like
- 40:28Speaker 4: a battle scar.
- 40:29Speaker 3: It really was.
- 40:32Speaker 4: So Yeah, when you're.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Putting your makeup on, I know it's been a while
- 40:36Speaker 1: since this has happened to you, are they like do
- 40:39Speaker 1: you still look at them and remember like, Wow, I
- 40:41Speaker 1: fucking survived something that I got very lucky, I mean
- 40:46Speaker 1: a different type of fall. It could have ended very differently.
- 40:49Speaker 1: Do you ever look at your scars and you're like,
- 40:52Speaker 1: I remember that, and I do you get what I'm saying?
- 40:54Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't. I don't know if I don't know
- 40:56Speaker 4: if it's like I don't know if I had like
- 40:57Speaker 4: take a I don't know if it's like that, I
- 41:01Speaker 4: like have a moment with myself when I do that,
- 41:02Speaker 4: but I think it's when I do see it. It
- 41:06Speaker 4: is because I see it every day. That is, it
- 41:08Speaker 4: is a reminder every day. So whether i'm whether it's
- 41:11Speaker 4: like a conscious thing, it's subconsciously for sure.
- 41:14Speaker 3: Okay, Yeah, I've always wondered that.
- 41:16Speaker 1: I've never asked you that question before because I have
- 41:18Speaker 1: like this dog bite on my leg and I remember
- 41:21Speaker 1: it happened like before I went into junior high, and
- 41:24Speaker 1: junior high is very intimidating, and it was really ugly
- 41:27Speaker 1: and people were like, eh, you have such a disgusting
- 41:29Speaker 1: birthmark on your leg, and I'm like, well, I was
- 41:31Speaker 1: like attacked by a dog. But still every time I
- 41:34Speaker 1: see it, I'm like, I remember all of those things
- 41:37Speaker 1: and how self conscious I was, and now I think
- 41:39Speaker 1: it's like the cutest thing ever.
- 41:41Speaker 2: I know.
- 41:41Speaker 4: I love scars. I think, yeah, I do too. We're
- 41:45Speaker 4: so weird.
- 41:47Speaker 2: Awkward, Okay, awkward. I'm done with the scars out. Now
- 41:52Speaker 2: you're gonna want to go have a scar. I'm done
- 41:54Speaker 2: with that scar on your body.
- 41:57Speaker 3: Have mercy, okay.
- 41:58Speaker 2: Question, We're about to get married, yes, following your footsteps.
- 42:03Speaker 2: Any advice going into the final stretch because we're getting
- 42:07Speaker 2: pretty close. And what was it like right after for you?
- 42:10Speaker 2: Was there anything different? Did it feel different?
- 42:12Speaker 1: So just yeah, because you and Thomas were together for
- 42:15Speaker 1: a long time before you got married, to have an answer.
- 42:18Speaker 2: Yeah, oh god, I don't remember, you know.
- 42:22Speaker 4: To one of those crazy is that this year Tom
- 42:24Speaker 4: and I will have been together for a decade.
- 42:27Speaker 2: Ten years, so together ten years?
- 42:30Speaker 4: Yes, year? So yeah, I mean, wells you know, it's
- 42:36Speaker 4: I have this really strange, funny analogy that after you
- 42:39Speaker 4: get married, it's it's weird. It's like, you know, you
- 42:42Speaker 4: have the iPhone, but they have the iOS update. Yes,
- 42:46Speaker 4: so it's like so it's like you get married and
- 42:47Speaker 4: then it's like dios update happens. It's still the same phone.
- 42:50Speaker 4: But it's like, you know, but that is amazing. So
- 42:54Speaker 4: it's like, you know, it's that is one of the best.
- 42:56Speaker 7: Maybe maybe there's like some new features and make it right,
- 43:00Speaker 7: maybe like it runs, it runs a little faster, runs,
- 43:05Speaker 7: a little faster functions, you know, but it's still the
- 43:07Speaker 7: same device.
- 43:08Speaker 4: It's still you know, yeah, same apps.
- 43:11Speaker 3: Probably one of the things I've ever heard.
- 43:16Speaker 2: Do you feel the same way? So I don't. It's
- 43:20Speaker 2: the same la la, but it's got a bunch of
- 43:22Speaker 2: different features.
- 43:23Speaker 4: Well maybe you know, it's just it maybe runs a
- 43:26Speaker 4: little faster, like the bugs have maybe been worked out.
- 43:31Speaker 4: I like it just it feels like it feels just
- 43:33Speaker 4: a little more like permanent in a good way. Like
- 43:35Speaker 4: you feel like the the the questions, the doubts kind
- 43:39Speaker 4: of go away because like you just feel like this
- 43:42Speaker 4: is my person for life, right, the rest of your
- 43:45Speaker 4: life gets to start finally, and that's there's nothing better
- 43:48Speaker 4: about that.
- 43:49Speaker 1: So Shartzy Schortzy said something so cute. When we went
- 43:53Speaker 1: to Florida for New Year's you guys were in a tiff.
- 43:58Speaker 1: Randall and I had already had our tiff, and it
- 43:59Speaker 1: was your.
- 44:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it moves, it moves around the group.
- 44:02Speaker 3: Yes, And you were off talking to Randall, talking him
- 44:05Speaker 3: off the legend.
- 44:05Speaker 1: I was talking short of well shorts. He wasn't even
- 44:08Speaker 1: on the legend be team work, I was. I was
- 44:09Speaker 1: talking to him and he was like, here's the.
- 44:11Speaker 3: Thing, Lollie, that's my bub. We've been together ten years,
- 44:14Speaker 3: Like we do this ship. It's like, come on, Bub,
- 44:15Speaker 3: we're all good. Ten years.
- 44:18Speaker 1: I like.
- 44:20Speaker 3: You stuck with me, dude. We've been doing this for
- 44:22Speaker 3: ten years.
- 44:24Speaker 2: We're like, yeah, oh my god, I just you know what,
- 44:26Speaker 2: I'm not talking to her, I'm not talking to him.
- 44:28Speaker 2: It's like, I feel like when we walked down the aisle,
- 44:31Speaker 2: and it's just kind of the little things maybe peel
- 44:35Speaker 2: away a little.
- 44:35Speaker 3: Did you cry when you walk down the aisle?
- 44:38Speaker 4: No, Tom and I did a first look.
- 44:40Speaker 2: Oh we did.
- 44:42Speaker 4: So we did our photos and everything before the ceremony.
- 44:44Speaker 4: But so he and I did our photos first. So
- 44:47Speaker 4: he and I did a first look together where.
- 44:49Speaker 2: It's just right when you saw him there.
- 44:50Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, So it was just it was just he
- 44:52Speaker 4: and I together and we had that special moment. But
- 44:56Speaker 4: then when he did his vows, it was like, oh god,
- 45:00Speaker 4: water works.
- 45:00Speaker 2: Then oh god, okay. I was like, what about him too?
- 45:03Speaker 4: Yes, and he was crying through his vows, you know.
- 45:08Speaker 4: And then and then I had to do my vows
- 45:10Speaker 4: after him, and I was trying to read through mine
- 45:12Speaker 4: and I couldn't even I was just mine were horrible
- 45:15Speaker 4: compared to him. And I started like winging it halfway through,
- 45:18Speaker 4: and I.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Was like, wait, how does that feel when you're in
- 45:22Speaker 2: that moment if the other person like digs a little deeper?
- 45:26Speaker 3: Yeah, what's his top? What I've read.
- 45:28Speaker 4: I know, I knew I was going to be better anyway,
- 45:30Speaker 4: already know this. We're going to be Yeah, and I
- 45:32Speaker 4: should have.

- 46:55Speaker 2: like in the beginning of the show.

- 48:29Speaker 1: With the people that are out there who struggle with
- 48:33Speaker 1: mean people saying things negative about their body, what.
- 48:38Speaker 3: Would be your best piece of advice for them?
- 48:41Speaker 4: My best piece of advice would be to remember your
- 48:46Speaker 4: own worth and that other people don't get to decide
- 48:50Speaker 4: that for you. That every day that you get to
- 48:53Speaker 4: wake up and look in the mirror and say, bitch,
- 48:56Speaker 4: you are the ship and that you're worth it because
- 48:59Speaker 4: you in the day like it is your relationship with
- 49:01Speaker 4: yourself that matters, and that you were like you were
- 49:04Speaker 4: going to be like the most important relationship that you have.
- 49:08Speaker 4: And to tune out the noise. It's just it is
- 49:11Speaker 4: just noise, after all, and even though it can be loud,
- 49:14Speaker 4: you just have to just tune it out. Take inventory
- 49:16Speaker 4: of your life, what's important, what brings you value, and
- 49:20Speaker 4: invest in that and continue to reinvest in that.
- 49:22Speaker 3: Oh that's amazing. Thank you so much, best Katie Baloney,
