- 0:05Speaker 2: All right, so we're back Almost Famous podcast and I've
- 0:07Speaker 2: got a beautiful couple in front of me, Kenny and.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Maur How are you guys so good?
- 0:12Speaker 3: How are you?
- 0:13Speaker 2: Oh?
- 0:13Speaker 1: I'm good, I'm tired.
- 0:15Speaker 4: Oh yeah yeah.
- 0:19Speaker 1: How long did you guys stay?
- 0:22Speaker 5: We actually didn't stay very long. We left probably just
- 0:25Speaker 5: before eleven.
- 0:26Speaker 4: Yeah, we did our secret. We're going to go to
- 0:29Speaker 4: the bathroom and then.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Just watch yeah Irish, Irish, Yeah, I love it. How
- 0:36Speaker 2: was the wedding for you guys? Like, did it bring
- 0:38Speaker 2: back memories of your own nuptials? It?
- 0:40Speaker 1: Did?
- 0:41Speaker 2: It? Did?
- 0:41Speaker 3: It was beautiful?
- 0:42Speaker 5: I mean everything was so gorgeous, and I think just
- 0:45Speaker 5: being able to watch them up there after having seen
- 0:48Speaker 5: the whole season, you know, it was super special. And
- 0:49Speaker 5: then it definitely did kind of bring new flashbacks to
- 0:52Speaker 5: our our paradise wedding too.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 0:55Speaker 1: How so you guys did watch Golden Bachelor?
- 0:57Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 0:58Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 0:58Speaker 2: And what did you think, Like, do you think they
- 1:01Speaker 2: need to continue it? Do you think it was a
- 1:02Speaker 2: good thing for the franchise?
- 1:04Speaker 3: One hundred percent?
- 1:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:05Speaker 3: I'll admit I was a little skeptical at first.
- 1:08Speaker 5: I wasn't sure what to expect, but I think they
- 1:11Speaker 5: definitely took it seriously and treated it with like the
- 1:13Speaker 5: respect and the grace that it deserves for what it is.
- 1:17Speaker 5: So I think they did a great job, and I
- 1:18Speaker 5: definitely think they should.
- 1:19Speaker 4: Keep it up. I'm sure they will.
- 1:23Speaker 1: I wouldn't right. It seems to be successful. Absolutely.
- 1:27Speaker 5: Everyone loves Gary and Theresa and all the Golden Bachelorettes.
- 1:30Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, I can't believe it. They have like
- 1:32Speaker 5: the biggest fan base now.
- 1:34Speaker 3: It's yeah, it's incredible to watch.
- 1:35Speaker 2: We had Joan and she wasn't in here just a
- 1:37Speaker 2: second ago, and we were laughing about the Golden Bachelorette
- 1:43Speaker 2: and who that would be if they do that show,
- 1:46Speaker 2: if they do that spin off, And Joan was laughing
- 1:49Speaker 2: and she's like, I don't know if I could do
- 1:50Speaker 2: it by myself, Like we need to have like I
- 1:53Speaker 2: would be.
- 1:53Speaker 1: I would like to be one of two which you
- 1:56Speaker 1: can speak to.
- 1:58Speaker 2: And then and then she was like, but maybe we
- 2:00Speaker 2: should do three or four, and Ben was like, maybe
- 2:03Speaker 2: we should have the whole group of Golden past.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Well that's just paradise at that point.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Well, they wouldn't move it.
- 2:09Speaker 5: I think he's a different location, yes, but definitely agree
- 2:13Speaker 5: that would be fun to watch.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I was like, maybe you're onto something, but I
- 2:18Speaker 2: don't know.
- 2:19Speaker 1: That would be a little too chaotic.
- 2:21Speaker 5: Maybe it might be a little too crazy to follow too,
- 2:24Speaker 5: just from a viewers standpoint, like exactly not with everything.
- 2:27Speaker 4: I would like to see what it looks like having
- 2:31Speaker 4: a bunch of old guys in a house and doing
- 2:33Speaker 4: that whole thing. I just would be I think a
- 2:36Speaker 4: lot of people would tune in to see what that's about.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Well, honestly, she brought so Joan said that she's like,
- 2:42Speaker 2: I don't know if we can get guys to like
- 2:46Speaker 2: come and sit on a couch and talk about how
- 2:49Speaker 2: they're going to find love, like really, And yeah, I
- 2:53Speaker 2: think so too, because there are a lot of people
- 2:55Speaker 2: in the world.
- 2:56Speaker 4: I mean, casting would have to do some work, but
- 2:59Speaker 4: I bet they could.
- 3:00Speaker 5: We just need to find more of the Garys of
- 3:02Speaker 5: the world, because you know, if he can do it,
- 3:04Speaker 5: I think more men will too.
- 3:06Speaker 3: I don't know. It'll be interesting to see.
- 3:08Speaker 5: Though, because I feel like it would be a bit
- 3:09Speaker 5: of a different dynamic, you know, especially for older men.
- 3:13Speaker 3: But I'm interested.
- 3:15Speaker 1: I think that.
- 3:17Speaker 2: She also said like, we don't know if any men
- 3:21Speaker 2: would be able.
- 3:22Speaker 1: To leave their jobs.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Yeah, and I'm like, true, but maybe they're retired or
- 3:28Speaker 2: maybe they're like CEOs and they own a company and
- 3:30Speaker 2: they're like and Susan was like, yep, that's the kind of.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Okay.
- 3:36Speaker 2: So what did you love? What did you love about
- 3:38Speaker 2: the wedding? Having just been through yours, what did you
- 3:41Speaker 2: love about it?
- 3:42Speaker 5: Oh, my gosh, I love the decor. Everything is so stunning.
- 3:45Speaker 5: I loved the seating, how they had some like sofaz
- 3:49Speaker 5: chairs and it was just so elegant looking, and the
- 3:52Speaker 5: flowers were gorgeous. It was just so stunning gorgeous.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Did anything was anything similar to your wedding, Like, did
- 4:00Speaker 2: you have anything that knows in common?
- 4:04Speaker 1: Really?
- 4:05Speaker 5: I think I think the most commonality we had was
- 4:07Speaker 5: probably just like the outdoor gardeny vibe and kind of
- 4:11Speaker 5: the color scheme we did, like white and green and
- 4:13Speaker 5: there's was kind of like neutrals whites.
- 4:16Speaker 3: So I think that's about it.
- 4:17Speaker 5: But yeah, it definitely gave me a little bit of
- 4:19Speaker 5: a reminiscent moment.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Tell us about your wedding, like how besides the decor,
- 4:24Speaker 2: Like was it big? Did you have a lot of people,
- 4:28Speaker 2: was it I was it a destination?
- 4:29Speaker 4: It was, yeah, Puerto Rico.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Yeah, So we've had two weddings.
- 4:32Speaker 5: We had our Paradise wedding on sea which everyone got
- 4:35Speaker 5: to see, which.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Was that before your other wedding it was it was
- 4:37Speaker 1: in June.
- 4:39Speaker 2: I didn't know if that was like, you're just doing
- 4:42Speaker 2: it for the cameras because they wanted you to come
- 4:44Speaker 2: back to the beach.
- 4:46Speaker 3: A lot of people seem to think that.
- 4:47Speaker 4: Yeah, so we actually were married in Paradise, but it
- 4:51Speaker 4: filmed in June.
- 4:53Speaker 5: You were, So we've been married since June. But we
- 4:56Speaker 5: knew that our families weren't going to be able to
- 4:58Speaker 5: come to Paradise. It was short notice and you know
- 5:00Speaker 5: passports travel is right. Yeah, just a bit of a
- 5:02Speaker 5: hassle to have our family and friends come there.
- 5:05Speaker 1: So we knew, and you probably already started planning.
- 5:08Speaker 5: Yeah, they were already, Yeah, in the planning of Puerto Rico.
- 5:11Speaker 5: So we still had our Puerto Rico wedding and that
- 5:14Speaker 5: one was smaller. We had about sixty people or so,
- 5:17Speaker 5: just our families pretty much and closest friends got it
- 5:20Speaker 5: and we actually still have one more celebration to go.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Do we're doing like a party because like a lot
- 5:25Speaker 4: of our friends couldn't come and whatnot in Chicago. In Chicago,
- 5:30Speaker 4: it's just it's a really a reception.
- 5:32Speaker 5: Yeah, just a big party pretty much for our friends
- 5:34Speaker 5: to celebrate with us.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:36Speaker 1: When is well, you don't have to tell me. It'll
- 5:38Speaker 1: be March thirtieth, March amazing.
- 5:50Speaker 2: You know, reality, Steve, I think leaked the fact that
- 5:53Speaker 2: the wedding was here. Yeah, And last night I was
- 5:57Speaker 2: looking at Instagram and I can't remember what you call it,
- 6:00Speaker 2: the page where people like tag you or post for
- 6:03Speaker 2: you or whatever. So I looked at that and someone
- 6:05Speaker 2: posted a picture that they had taken with me, and
- 6:09Speaker 2: their post said I loved stalking the Golden Bachelor wedding
- 6:13Speaker 2: last night. And I think there were people that like
- 6:16Speaker 2: literally found out that it was going to be here
- 6:20Speaker 2: and either live in California or jumped on a plane
- 6:23Speaker 2: and booked a room and wanted to just come and
- 6:26Speaker 2: hang out.
- 6:26Speaker 4: And see at the reception part at you know when
- 6:31Speaker 4: the Dan band came out.
- 6:32Speaker 5: Yep, yeah, like over the fence, over the fence, taking.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Over the fence the whole time. Pretty much. They were
- 6:40Speaker 3: like and I went over to.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Get food and she goes, Mom, who are those people?
- 6:45Speaker 3: They were just watching.
- 6:48Speaker 4: A lot of them.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I looked up and I was like, oh, and they
- 6:51Speaker 2: were all waving. I'm like, god, so funny. Okay, what
- 6:57Speaker 2: was your favorite moment from the reception?
- 6:59Speaker 4: Well, the Dan band. The dude that came out is
- 7:04Speaker 4: uh my jaw dropped when that happened. I'm obsessed with
- 7:08Speaker 4: that guy.
- 7:08Speaker 1: You are.
- 7:09Speaker 4: I am obsessed with that guy and I love it,
- 7:13Speaker 4: like you know, when he was in old school and
- 7:15Speaker 4: hangover all that stuff. She didn't really know who he was,
- 7:18Speaker 4: and I was like, acting like a child.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I don't think a lot of people did. So Ben
- 7:21Speaker 1: was like they were all acted like a child.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Ben looked at like twitter feed last night and just
- 7:28Speaker 2: to see kind of what the general consensus was about everything,
- 7:32Speaker 2: and he did say that a lot of people had
- 7:34Speaker 2: no idea who they were.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I'm glad I'm not alone. No, you are not alone.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Me and my friends and even my dad texted me.
- 7:40Speaker 4: He was like the Dan band and then like a
- 7:42Speaker 4: hundred exclamation points like yes, I'm like it's amazing. And
- 7:47Speaker 4: I took a picture with Dan and sent it to
- 7:48Speaker 4: my friend.
- 7:49Speaker 3: You dude, I love it.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I love Do you have any connection to them?
- 7:53Speaker 2: Like?
- 7:53Speaker 4: So funny enough? We actually I have a mutual friend
- 7:57Speaker 4: with Dan. Okay, and on my thirtieth birthday, the Dan
- 8:01Speaker 4: band sent me a video singing Bert my Happy Birthday
- 8:05Speaker 4: to me, and it's hilarious. So I pulled him off
- 8:08Speaker 4: to the side and we talked a little bit, and
- 8:10Speaker 4: then we sent a video to my friend that we
- 8:13Speaker 4: have in common.
- 8:14Speaker 1: That's amazing. I love it.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Small world.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Okay, were you guys on the dance I did see
- 8:20Speaker 2: you on the dance floor for a little bit, like
- 8:22Speaker 2: across the way.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I was. I was getting my groove on.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Oh yeah, it was so much fun. Kenny.
- 8:27Speaker 5: When we first met, he straight up was like, I
- 8:30Speaker 5: don't dance. I hate dancing. You're never going to see
- 8:32Speaker 5: me on a dance floor. But yeah, I'm a Latina.
- 8:34Speaker 3: I love to dance.
- 8:35Speaker 5: Yeah, like it's part of you know who I am?
- 8:38Speaker 5: And so he has slowly loosened up. He danced a
- 8:40Speaker 5: lot at our wedding and yeah, danced last night. So
- 8:43Speaker 5: we're warming him up a little bit.
- 8:45Speaker 1: I love it.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Oh well, maybe you'll turn into Ryan. I don't know
- 8:48Speaker 2: if you saw Ryan, but he was sitting the whole.
- 8:52Speaker 4: That's my that's my comfort zone.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Yes, so.
- 8:57Speaker 4: I had a couple of drinks early on enough to
- 9:00Speaker 4: get me on the dance Yeah.
- 9:02Speaker 1: That's what Ryan said.
- 9:02Speaker 2: He was like, I'm not drinking unless or I'm not
- 9:05Speaker 2: dancing unless I'm drinking. And he hasn't been drinking in
- 9:07Speaker 2: a while, so so he.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Was like, nah, I'm just I'm good watching you dance.
- 9:13Speaker 4: That's that's where am I think?
- 9:14Speaker 1: It was so much fun.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Natasha lit up that dance floor. She was the first
- 9:17Speaker 3: one out there, like.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Having a solo moment.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Yeah, it was incredible.
- 9:22Speaker 1: She was amazing.
- 9:24Speaker 5: We sat next to her for dinner too, you did.
- 9:26Speaker 3: She's a hoot.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Yeah, she is a hoot. She came up and introduced herself.
- 9:30Speaker 2: She's like, I need to introduce myself, and we talked
- 9:33Speaker 2: about how she actually was a dancer.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Oh that makes sense.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I know she like studied with Alvin Ailey and like,
- 9:41Speaker 1: I know, I.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Was had no idea.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Yeah, legit, but she she killed it on that She
- 9:48Speaker 2: got everyone into it.
- 9:49Speaker 5: Oh yeah, we already need the one person who's going
- 9:52Speaker 5: to like get the party started, you know, in.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Like a cool way.
- 9:55Speaker 2: It wasn't like like an old dad like, you know,
- 9:58Speaker 2: doing like she kind of moves.
- 10:00Speaker 1: She's good, she's good, and she's fun. Oh, I loved it.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I had so much fun on it. Probably too much
- 10:09Speaker 2: fun on the dance floor. I actually can't even believe
- 10:12Speaker 2: I'm here this morning, because well.
- 10:13Speaker 4: They were playing good music.
- 10:14Speaker 2: That was fantasticand what do you think about it?
- 10:17Speaker 1: It was a very good boy band, fantastic. He was like, Mom,
- 10:23Speaker 1: they performed justin Bieber's wedding. Yes, that's what I heard.
- 10:28Speaker 3: I know.
- 10:31Speaker 1: You're a believer. I am.
- 10:32Speaker 3: I've been a believer since day one.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Me too. How can you know? They were fantastic?
- 10:40Speaker 2: Like the dance moves, I felt like I was watching
- 10:43Speaker 2: like an old motown like in some moments.
- 10:48Speaker 1: And the girls the pipe.
- 10:50Speaker 5: Of voices fantastic. I wish I could do that. I
- 10:54Speaker 5: that's the one thing about myself that like, I wish
- 10:57Speaker 5: I could sing me too.
- 10:59Speaker 2: I Okay, I have to ask as we're closing, because
- 11:04Speaker 2: that's always the next question, you know what's coming.
- 11:07Speaker 4: We're not having kids as far as I know.
- 11:14Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, it's not in the plans for right now.
- 11:21Speaker 5: I think we've got our two dogs right now.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Those are a little baby and.
- 11:25Speaker 5: It's baby dogs, a little Maltese and a little Yorky.
- 11:29Speaker 5: So he's got little big Onyorky like eight.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Yeah, mine was seven seven or eight.
- 11:35Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, seventeen pounds, seven years old, seventeen. They
- 11:42Speaker 5: last forever. Our is going to be ten in a
- 11:45Speaker 5: couple of weeks. And the Yorkie he's only one. Yeah,
- 11:48Speaker 5: he's amazing. Do you carry him everywhere in a little person.
- 11:52Speaker 3: We have a stroller. We actually use a stroller.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Stroller. I need a picture of Kenny with the stroller.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Those are our babies for now.
- 12:02Speaker 5: I think, you know, if kids are in our future,
- 12:05Speaker 5: it probably won't be for a few years.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I think that's fairy wise. Enjoy that's some point, probably
- 12:11Speaker 1: a few more years.
- 12:11Speaker 2: I mean I don't I don't mean enjoy. You can't
- 12:14Speaker 2: enjoy each other after you have kids, But I think
- 12:16Speaker 2: like enjoying the time together like there's something to be
- 12:20Speaker 2: said for that, for sure.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Absolutely, I totally agree.
- 12:22Speaker 4: So yeah, we want to just like be married and
- 12:24Speaker 4: like do stuff.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Travel around everywhere, Yeah, and not have that responsibility.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, because it is a big respect.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Hug. But you guys, I just met you, but I
- 12:34Speaker 2: know You're going to be great parents anyway. It was
- 12:37Speaker 2: so nice to meet you guys, just hang out a
- 12:39Speaker 2: little bit. Thanks for joining, Thank you, thank you.
