Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome, everybody. Tuesday, Clay and Buck starts now.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Great to be with you, and much to discuss, as
- 0:08Speaker 2: tends to be the case. Donald Trump, the man himself,
- 0:12Speaker 2: out in Kansas on the campaign trail, lighting it up,
- 0:17Speaker 2: and we think that this is going to be a
- 0:21Speaker 2: critical part, we're hoping it'll be a critical part of
- 0:24Speaker 2: The Republicans' late push to pull out some, perhaps come
- 0:29Speaker 2: from behind wins, or maybe just break the tie or
- 0:32Speaker 2: the deadlock in their favor in some of these most important,
- 0:35Speaker 2: most critical elections that are out there, which we continue
- 0:39Speaker 2: to discuss. Trump also weighed in on the Ukraine-Russia conflict.
- 0:45Speaker 2: And this is something that we all recall, or certainly
- 0:47Speaker 2: Clay and I recall, Trump said that he would.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Fix this in one day. We remember we.
- 0:52Speaker 2: And I think that was was that the same interview
- 0:54Speaker 2: where he said Putin was genius and then the entire
- 0:57Speaker 2: world flipped out?
- 0:58Speaker 3: Yes, I believe that was, in fact, if I remember correctly,
- 1:02Speaker 3: a February of 22 Clay and Buck show exclusive from
- 1:07Speaker 3: Mar-a-Lago that set the world on fire.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Yeah, he said he's genius, and he was talking about
- 1:13Speaker 2: it in a specific context that in context it all
- 1:15Speaker 2: made sense. But, of course, it was just he said
- 1:17Speaker 2: Putin's a genius, so they got all crazy about it.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Michigan Senate race, that one is one of the biggest,
- 1:25Speaker 2: most important in the country. I wonder, Clay, which one,
- 1:27Speaker 2: when all is said and done, is going to be
- 1:29Speaker 2: the most expensive? Texas race is super expensive. Michigan race
- 1:33Speaker 2: is super expensive.
- 1:34Speaker 3: It's a good time to be in local TV, Buck.
- 1:36Speaker 3: This is like Christmas morning every day, I would imagine,
- 1:39Speaker 3: for business executives who happen to own those Battleground State
- 1:43Speaker 3: local ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox affiliates. And a lot
- 1:49Speaker 3: of companies elsewhere. It's a great question. And by the way,
- 1:53Speaker 3: if I had to ask you, if you could know
- 1:55Speaker 3: one outcome as we sit here two weeks away, only
- 1:59Speaker 3: one race. but you had to extrapolate based on the
- 2:02Speaker 3: outcome of that race. I've got an answer. Which race
- 2:05Speaker 3: would you want to know the outcome of? You can
- 2:07Speaker 3: know the exact totals, exact results. I think we might
- 2:11Speaker 3: have the same answer here, but for me, it's Michigan.
- 2:14Speaker 1: It's Michigan.
- 2:15Speaker 3: I was thinking Michigan. I think I might go Ohio now.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Really?
- 2:19Speaker 3: Because if we don't win the Ohio Senate, then I
- 2:23Speaker 3: think there's no way we're going to win Michigan.
- 2:25Speaker 4: Right.
- 2:26Speaker 3: And so Ohio Senate to me, Michigan, you could lose.
- 2:30Speaker 3: We could lose. I said that Mike Rogers going to
- 2:32Speaker 3: win by twenty six thousand votes. Very specific. If I'm
- 2:36Speaker 3: if I'm wrong and we lose Michigan by fifteen thousand votes,
- 2:39Speaker 3: it could still be a really, really good midterm for
- 2:43Speaker 3: the battleground states because Michigan is a stretch. Well, but
- 2:47Speaker 3: if we lose Ohio, we're cooked. Let me just put
- 2:50Speaker 3: it that way, succinctly, as the kids would say. Yeah.
- 2:53Speaker 1: We are cooked.
- 2:55Speaker 2: I think you're going to hope for some ticket splitting
- 2:56Speaker 2: there because I do think Vivek Ramaswamy is in a very,
- 3:00Speaker 2: very tough spot right now.
- 3:01Speaker 1: But let's look at this. Kansas.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Why are we talking about Kansas? Not that Kansas isn't
- 3:08Speaker 2: worthy of discussion, of course. Great state. Great state, the Kansas.
- 3:13Speaker 2: But Donald Trump was there campaigning for Republican candidates, and
- 3:18Speaker 2: he is supporting Senator Marshall, who is locked in a
- 3:22Speaker 2: The media is saying, at least, Clay, unexpectedly tight race
- 3:26Speaker 2: against Democrat candidate and Methodist pastor Adam Hamilton. So Trump
- 3:33Speaker 2: is going around this state now, which they're calling a
- 3:36Speaker 2: battleground on this. I have a hard time believing it's
- 3:39Speaker 2: as tight as some of the pollsters and some of
- 3:42Speaker 2: the media are saying. And remember... The greatest pollster in Iowa,
- 3:47Speaker 2: according to the mainstream media, had the biggest whiff of
- 3:51Speaker 2: any pollster we've ever seen in her state that she
- 3:54Speaker 2: was in charge of.
- 3:55Speaker 3: And Seltzer going out. That's actually, Buck, we should make
- 3:58Speaker 3: a Seltzer, like make it a word that we use
- 4:01Speaker 3: for someone who goes out at the absolute worst of
- 4:05Speaker 3: their career, right? This would be, she had an esteemed
- 4:08Speaker 3: career as a pollster. Everybody talked about her. Then she
- 4:12Speaker 3: came out and said Kamala was going to win. Iowa,
- 4:16Speaker 3: and Kamala lost Iowa by 13. I think she was
- 4:20Speaker 3: 16 points off in her final poll. That's a seltzer.
- 4:24Speaker 3: When you go out as the absolute worst of what
- 4:27Speaker 3: you did for your career.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:30Speaker 2: So pollsters can be very wrong, as we know. But
- 4:33Speaker 2: they're saying Kansas is tight. So Trump is there doing
- 4:36Speaker 2: the Trump thing on the campaign trail, where he is
- 4:39Speaker 2: certainly at home and an asset to get the base
- 4:42Speaker 2: fired up. But while that's all going on, I want
- 4:44Speaker 2: to note, Clay, the French riots are also just spiraling
- 4:49Speaker 2: completely out of control. The interior minister there, kind of
- 4:52Speaker 2: like their DHS secretary equivalent, I would say. I mean,
- 4:56Speaker 2: it's rough equivalent, but the interior minister offered to resign
- 5:00Speaker 2: because he said, look, our cops, the police, the security
- 5:03Speaker 2: forces have just completely lost control in these areas. They're
- 5:05Speaker 2: not even pretending. Macron, Emmanuel Macron, the president, has said, no.
- 5:09Speaker 1: No, don't resign.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Trump is now weaving into this that this is not
- 5:17Speaker 2: just about Democrats. This is about which party stands with
- 5:21Speaker 2: Western civilization, which party stands with the most core and
- 5:24Speaker 2: fundamental values of our society, not just now, but for centuries,
- 5:28Speaker 2: perhaps for millennia.
- 5:29Speaker 1: This is cut one. Trump and Kansas hit it.
- 5:32Speaker 4: The Democrat agenda is a plan to extinguish Western civilization.
- 5:38Speaker 4: They want to open the borders. They want to, to me,
- 5:41Speaker 4: the biggest sin. The inflation, we've got it cooked. The inflation,
- 5:44Speaker 4: once that oil comes down, that'll be the final straw.
- 5:47Speaker 4: But the inflation, the worst thing they did to us
- 5:50Speaker 4: is allowing 25 million people into our country, totally unchecked,
- 5:55Speaker 4: totally unvetted. We've gotten most of them out. We're getting
- 5:59Speaker 4: the rest of them out very soon. They want to
- 6:04Speaker 4: shut down our power plants. They want to set loose
- 6:06Speaker 4: the criminals, turn your children transgender, confiscate your money, and
- 6:12Speaker 4: raise up the Palestinian flag right in the middle of
- 6:16Speaker 4: your wonderful state. And at the same time, they're willing
- 6:19Speaker 4: to defile our great and very beautiful American flag.
- 6:23Speaker 1: We're not going to let that happen.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Palestinian flag while they defile our American flag, Clay. That
- 6:30Speaker 2: plays well in Kansas, I can tell you.
- 6:32Speaker 3: I am very confident, Buck, as we sit here two
- 6:35Speaker 3: weeks away. There's no way. And again, everybody should go vote.
- 6:38Speaker 3: I have already voted. Have you voted yet, Buck? I'm
- 6:42Speaker 3: going to lecture you until you get out.
- 6:44Speaker 1: It's been 24 hours, buddy. It's early voting. Settle down.
- 6:48Speaker 3: I want you to send an important message to this
- 6:50Speaker 3: audience by getting out and voting as early as possible.
- 6:53Speaker 2: I will tell you, Kerry and I already discussed. We
- 6:55Speaker 2: want to go together. So we discuss what day this week.
- 6:58Speaker 2: But we are going to early vote for sure.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Early vote numbers already coming in. And I feel very
- 7:04Speaker 3: good about Kansas, about Iowa. about nebraska where they've tried
- 7:08Speaker 3: to expand the battleground you and i are in agreement
- 7:12Speaker 3: i will be very surprised if we don't see ken
- 7:15Speaker 3: paxton win in texas i think talarico is plummeting um
- 7:19Speaker 3: the fact that he vanished from the campaign trail for
- 7:22Speaker 3: nearly two weeks obviously not ideal for his overall uh.
- 7:25Speaker 1: He just had a cold it was just a cold.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Um Again, Ohio, there was a poll that came out
- 7:31Speaker 3: that showed Husted up. That one's going to be very close. Michigan.
- 7:35Speaker 3: But I am confident increasingly in red states. And I
- 7:40Speaker 3: will say, Buck, that I do think we need to
- 7:43Speaker 3: talk more about the decoy Dan situation in Alaska.
- 7:47Speaker 2: That one worries me a little bit, too, because it's
- 7:49Speaker 2: so hard. How do you gauge that? All the polls,
- 7:53Speaker 2: all the stuff you're looking at. So, well, how many
- 7:55Speaker 2: people are going to be confused on Election Day? How
- 7:57Speaker 2: do you I don't know how you get it.
- 7:59Speaker 3: So dirty what they are doing in Alaska. And it's
- 8:02Speaker 3: not getting as much attention because it's Alaska. I mean, honestly,
- 8:05Speaker 3: there's not as much media up there. There's not as
- 8:08Speaker 3: much covering of that incident. The fact that they named
- 8:12Speaker 3: a guy, that they got a guy on the ballot
- 8:14Speaker 3: with the same name, and they know it's going to
- 8:16Speaker 3: come down to potentially a few thousand votes in Alaska.
- 8:20Speaker 3: It could be the situation that the Senate majority comes
- 8:24Speaker 3: down to how many Alaskans accidentally vote for the wrong guy.
- 8:29Speaker 3: It's just such a colossally dirty move. And if Democrats,
- 8:36Speaker 3: if Republicans did it, it's all you would hear about.
- 8:38Speaker 3: It would be in the news everywhere. And instead, this
- 8:43Speaker 3: is this is just, I think, frankly, unacceptable. By the way,
- 8:46Speaker 3: did you see that Trump called out? We talked about
- 8:50Speaker 3: this on the program. One of our callers called in
- 8:53Speaker 3: who was a doctor and said the way that Abdul
- 8:56Speaker 3: El-Sayed has been describing himself is inaccurate. Trump went after
- 9:00Speaker 3: him pretty aggressively. This is cut to saying that he's
- 9:04Speaker 3: not actually a doctor. He's a fake doctor. Again, if
- 9:08Speaker 3: you're going to go after Katie Zachariah over not passing
- 9:10Speaker 3: the bar exam, remember, I give credit to one of
- 9:13Speaker 3: our callers who was a doctor called in. said the
- 9:15Speaker 3: fact that Abdul El-Sayed has been saying for years that
- 9:20Speaker 3: he never did a residency, he can't treat patients, that
- 9:23Speaker 3: he is in some way a doctor. Cut to, listen
- 9:26Speaker 3: to this.
- 9:26Speaker 4: Abdul Mohammed El-Sayed, you think, a fake doctor. He's a
- 9:31Speaker 4: fake doctor. By the way, if he were using those
- 9:35Speaker 4: credentials as a Republican, he would have been run out
- 9:38Speaker 4: of the country by now.
- 9:40Speaker 1: He's a fake doctor. But you know.
- 9:44Speaker 4: They think they're doing well, but they have no idea
- 9:46Speaker 4: of the giant they have awoken and unleashed. It's this
- 9:50Speaker 4: giant right here all over the country.
- 9:54Speaker 1: I agree with him, by the way.
- 9:55Speaker 2: There is, well, as we always say, Republicans get tired.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Conservatives get tired about pointing out the double standards that
- 10:02Speaker 2: exist in our society for Democrats and liberals, where we
- 10:05Speaker 2: have standards and they don't. So our standards get used
- 10:08Speaker 2: against us. That absolutely would be a huge thing if
- 10:11Speaker 2: he were a Republican. And you say, well, what does
- 10:13Speaker 2: that mean? Trump's talking about it. Yeah, it would be
- 10:16Speaker 2: New York Times articles about it. It would be late-night
- 10:19Speaker 2: TV jokes made about it. It would be a huge thing.
- 10:22Speaker 2: They would flood the zone with he's a fake doctor.
- 10:26Speaker 2: And I thought people were pretty– Pretty harsh on Katie
- 10:31Speaker 2: Zachariah about that situation, considering she did go to law school.
- 10:34Speaker 1: She did have a J.D.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Nonetheless, the the standard for somebody to be a senator
- 10:42Speaker 2: should be, if.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Anything, even higher.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Way, way higher.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Right.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Even, you know, you're writing laws. You're not just a spokesperson.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Not that it's just a spokesperson. It's a big job.
- 10:52Speaker 2: But you get what I'm saying. So I think I
- 10:55Speaker 2: think there's that. And by the way, Trump actually leading
- 10:56Speaker 2: into this one, too. The Mohammed middle name situation. This
- 11:01Speaker 2: is cut three.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Listen to this.
- 11:02Speaker 4: The Democrats are the party of Abdul Mohammed Al Sayyad.
- 11:08Speaker 4: You know, he got very upset because I called him Mohammed.
- 11:10Speaker 4: I just felt like it. Somebody said, how did you
- 11:12Speaker 4: do that? I said, I'm the president. I can call
- 11:14Speaker 4: him whatever the hell I want. And then they sent
- 11:17Speaker 4: me his full name. And actually, his middle name is Mohammed.
- 11:20Speaker 4: You can believe it. One good thing, if you call
- 11:23Speaker 4: somebody from that part of the world Mohammed, you're about 65%
- 11:25Speaker 4: sure to get it right. So if you have any
- 11:28Speaker 4: problem with names, just call the guy Mohammed, you'll probably
- 11:31Speaker 4: be right. And he's an arrogant guy. I see him
- 11:33Speaker 4: being interviewed. I'm a lot nicer than him. I see
- 11:36Speaker 4: him being interviewed. All right, you have to ask that question.
- 11:39Speaker 4: But your sister is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.
- 11:43Speaker 1: How dare you?
- 11:44Speaker 4: Turns out she is.
- 11:47Speaker 1: He is too, by the way. And so is the mother.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Clay, can we just... everyone just soak it in. You
- 11:54Speaker 2: will never have a president this entertaining again, the rest
- 11:56Speaker 2: of your life.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 11:57Speaker 2: It's just not going to happen. So just take it
- 12:00Speaker 2: in right now. This guy is a phenom on this,
- 12:04Speaker 2: on the trail. Here's what I would say. I love
- 12:06Speaker 2: Mike Rogers. If Trump were running against Abdul El-Sayed, he
- 12:10Speaker 2: would win by multiple points in Michigan as a, as
- 12:13Speaker 2: a candidate. One of the things we were just talking
- 12:15Speaker 2: about is in the show. And I think it's something
- 12:18Speaker 2: that many of you can take as a lesson going forward.
- 12:22Speaker 2: oftentimes the most entertaining candidate wins. And you can define
- 12:27Speaker 2: entertaining in a broad way, but in terms of grabbing attention,
- 12:32Speaker 2: in terms of saying things that make people take note, Buck,
- 12:35Speaker 2: we live in such an attention economy now that making
- 12:38Speaker 2: people aware.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Of things is so hard. I used to think about
- 12:44Speaker 3: this when I started my media company for the first time.
- 12:47Speaker 3: The number of people that I knew would love the
- 12:50Speaker 3: content that OutKick was creating was but I couldn't even
- 12:53Speaker 3: make them aware that we existed when I started because
- 12:56Speaker 3: we had 100 readers or 200 and we built it
- 12:59Speaker 3: over time. Making people aware that you exist is one
- 13:04Speaker 3: of the biggest battles that any politician has. And I
- 13:07Speaker 3: think Mike Rogers is so folksy and so down home
- 13:12Speaker 3: and so frankly normal Michigan that a lot of normal
- 13:15Speaker 3: Michiganders don't know about him. And that's one of the
- 13:19Speaker 3: big challenges why I think Trump coming in and throwing
- 13:22Speaker 3: haymakers there can help because in some ways, by defining
- 13:27Speaker 3: Abdul El-Sayed, you are making people aware that they have
- 13:31Speaker 3: a choice to make. And if I were Mike Rogers,
- 13:34Speaker 3: I think Trump going around on a barnstorming tour of Michigan,
- 13:37Speaker 3: particularly in the northern part of the state, right before
- 13:40Speaker 3: the election would actually be outstanding because that's where the
- 13:43Speaker 3: base of the Republican Party is in that state. Speaking
- 13:48Speaker 3: of base, unfortunately, I don't know how many of you
- 13:49Speaker 3: were watching last night. The 49ers came out and utterly
- 13:54Speaker 3: dominated Washington, and then Washington scored a couple of backdoor touchdowns,
- 13:59Speaker 3: and we ended up losing barely our bet last night
- 14:03Speaker 3: after we were 20 points up for the 49ers midway
- 14:06Speaker 3: and late in the third quarter. But I have 15
- 14:10Speaker 3: picks up right now at Sport & State, a new
- 14:13Speaker 3: media site that I have, sportandstate.com, and it's 15 winners

- 14:23Speaker 3: We have been on a roll with the college football picks.

- 16:00Speaker 1: In a world of crazy?
- 16:03Speaker 3: Clay and Buck have your back. Welcome back in, Clay
- 16:06Speaker 3: and Buck. We've got an update for you on Enos Cantor.
- 16:11Speaker 3: He did a sit-down with me a couple weeks ago.
- 16:14Speaker 3: I think we, I don't know if we stood, did
- 16:16Speaker 3: we ever play that audio on the show? I can't
- 16:18Speaker 3: even remember if we did or not. Producer Ali says
- 16:20Speaker 3: we did. That was a great interview. It's up on
- 16:23Speaker 3: the Clay and Buck YouTube page. And by the way,
- 16:26Speaker 3: I appreciate all of you that are watching on YouTube.
- 16:29Speaker 3: We had a record week and we have added a
- 16:32Speaker 3: bird feeder. It's actually true. We have added a bird feeder.
- 16:36Speaker 3: for the commercial breaks for those of you who are
- 16:39Speaker 3: on YouTube and the bird feeder, I'm told buck is
- 16:43Speaker 3: wildly popular. People cannot get enough of, we may just
- 16:46Speaker 3: need to replace the show on YouTube in general with
- 16:49Speaker 3: just bird feeders. We may do even better than us talking. Uh,
- 16:52Speaker 3: but I am told that the bird feeder is wildly
- 16:55Speaker 3: popular with.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Maybe, maybe we just become the, the voiceover track for
- 16:59Speaker 2: the bird feeders.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Right?
- 17:00Speaker 2: So it's like, watch the beautiful birds slash get top flight,
- 17:04Speaker 2: political analysis and commentary.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Uh, I have been arguing for some time, Buck, that
- 17:09Speaker 3: every year, as soon as it gets close to Christmas,
- 17:12Speaker 3: they put on Christmas music and Christmas music dominates every
- 17:16Speaker 3: radio market in the country. It doesn't matter how good
- 17:18Speaker 3: of a show you have, you get dunked on by
- 17:20Speaker 3: Christmas music. Now we're getting dunked on by bird feeders.
- 17:24Speaker 3: I would think if we put Christmas music and bird
- 17:26Speaker 3: feeder together, just an idea for everybody, in December we
- 17:30Speaker 3: may have the most popular YouTube channel on the planet.
- 17:33Speaker 3: There's nothing wrong with getting smoked by the birth of
- 17:36Speaker 3: baby Jesus, Clay. There's no shame in that.
- 17:38Speaker 1: That's okay.
- 17:39Speaker 3: The music about the birth of baby Jesus. When we
- 17:41Speaker 3: come back, by the way, I will give you an update.
- 17:44Speaker 3: The WNBA has a statement on Enos Cantor and Royce
- 17:48Speaker 3: White declaring for the WNBA. And we will discuss and
- 17:52Speaker 3: you will be entertained, I promise. But in the meantime,
- 17:55Speaker 3: we have a special guest in studio today. I'm up
- 17:57Speaker 3: in New York, Buck's sister-in-law, Katie, here with us. She
- 18:00Speaker 3: was telling us about Rapid Radios. Her sister, Maggie, had
- 18:06Speaker 3: a two-year-old and was pregnant when Hurricane Helene hit in
- 18:12Speaker 3: the mountains of North Carolina. For two full days, no
- 18:16Speaker 3: one could get in touch with them at all. That's
- 18:19Speaker 3: when Rapid Radios came in. Buck's father-in-law, a hero of
- 18:23Speaker 3: this story, rushed a pair of rapid radios to them.
- 18:26Speaker 3: That's how they stayed in touch with the power out
- 18:29Speaker 3: for two weeks. Rapid radios work on the LTE network.
- 18:33Speaker 3: They have a five-day connection, making you able to stay
- 18:38Speaker 3: in touch when other forms of communication fail. You can
- 18:41Speaker 3: get hooked up right now. We have them in the
- 18:43Speaker 3: Travis household. Buck has it as well. Rapidradios.com, 60% off.
- 18:49Speaker 3: with code clay. That's rapid radios.com code clay.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Welcome back into clay and box.
- 18:56Speaker 2: So we both think Michigan, Michigan got to know how
- 19:00Speaker 2: to say the state.
- 19:01Speaker 1: It's important. You will speak.
- 19:02Speaker 2: If you're going to be on radio, Michigan is absolutely critical,
- 19:07Speaker 2: not just as a contest, but also I think as
- 19:12Speaker 2: an indicator of, Of what's really happening in this midterm election,
- 19:17Speaker 2: which is underway.
- 19:18Speaker 1: We are in the midterm right now. We have to.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Put that i think correctly election day is a few
- 19:24Speaker 2: weeks away we won't know the results yet but the
- 19:26Speaker 2: midterm election is happening right now clay already voted because
- 19:30Speaker 2: he's so he's such a good civic citizen buck is
- 19:34Speaker 2: 24 hours later than clay.
- 19:36Speaker 3: So i'm just saying if messaging is important one of
- 19:40Speaker 3: us cares about messaging and citizenship and the other is
- 19:43Speaker 3: just a little bit of a slacker i'm just.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Going to say. I might as well be Canadian at
- 19:47Speaker 1: this point.
- 19:48Speaker 3: To be fair, you might not be able to drive
- 19:51Speaker 3: from your house to the voting booth in time, given
- 19:54Speaker 3: your slow rate of speed, and be able to do the.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Show, too. Are you hearing this? This artillery barrage that
- 20:01Speaker 1: came out of nowhere?
- 20:02Speaker 2: I thought we were fighting on the same side here,
- 20:05Speaker 2: but then the friendly fire just rains down from nowhere.
- 20:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Voting late, driving slow. It's harsh. It's harsh.
- 20:12Speaker 2: But the slow driving, hey, I'll take it any time,
- 20:14Speaker 2: any day of the week. We are both going to
- 20:17Speaker 2: be early voters. That I can promise you guys. And
- 20:19Speaker 2: you should be early voters, too. And Clay is right.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Get out there and do it soon. Here's the thing.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Even if you're somebody who's going to tell me if
- 20:29Speaker 2: I got hit by a bus, I would crawl, okay?
- 20:34Speaker 2: Instead of crawling to the hospital, I would crawl to
- 20:36Speaker 2: the voting booth. I promise you I'll vote on voting.
- 20:38Speaker 2: The way this works is in the critical states, they
- 20:42Speaker 2: the more you bank early, it's an advantage because then
- 20:46Speaker 2: the get out the vote effort can be more targeted
- 20:49Speaker 2: toward lower propensity voters. You listening to the show are
- 20:53Speaker 2: overwhelmingly the opposite of a low propensity voter. OK, you're
- 20:56Speaker 2: you're the you're the gimme that that a lot of
- 21:00Speaker 2: these candidates are going to be counting on. You better
- 21:02Speaker 2: make sure you actually give it to them, though. But
- 21:05Speaker 2: the sooner you vote, some of the slackers out there
- 21:08Speaker 2: who wait a whole two days maybe to vote early,
- 21:11Speaker 2: some of the slackers out there will be more likely
- 21:15Speaker 2: to get their vote targeted by the get-out-the-vote effort. So
- 21:19Speaker 2: that's why it's important. Let's talk about Michigan here for
- 21:22Speaker 2: a second, a couple things. First of all, Clay, I
- 21:25Speaker 2: know you played this yesterday. Alyssa Slotkin.
- 21:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:28Speaker 1: This is important, I think.
- 21:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 21:31Speaker 2: She is giving you a vision of the future with
- 21:33Speaker 2: what she said. Remember, yesterday was she claimed she wanted
- 21:38Speaker 2: people to be so scared of prosecution for working for
- 21:42Speaker 2: Trump that they would never want to go and work
- 21:45Speaker 2: for a future Trump-like administration. Essentially, lawfare. Just wants to
- 21:52Speaker 2: use lawfare. Lawfare is on the ballot. Now, I will
- 21:56Speaker 2: say one fair, perhaps, criticism. And this is always the
- 22:01Speaker 2: thing with Trump. People act like he's this bare knuckle
- 22:03Speaker 2: brawler and you never know when he's just going to
- 22:06Speaker 2: fly off the handle and he's a loose cannon with
- 22:08Speaker 2: all this stuff. They try to put him in prison.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Joe Biden was was grinning when he was aware of
- 22:14Speaker 2: his surroundings and happy when people were talking about how
- 22:17Speaker 2: Trump was going to go to prison. OK, not just
- 22:20Speaker 2: lose the election, go to prison. Who has been the target?
- 22:24Speaker 2: of Trump lawfare, exactly. Who has been, and you might say, oh,
- 22:28Speaker 2: but what about Comey or something? Yeah, it got tossed.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Where is the effort to do the things that were
- 22:36Speaker 2: done to Trump to the other side? I'm going to
- 22:37Speaker 2: tell you, it hasn't really, certainly not on that scale,
- 22:40Speaker 2: it hasn't really happened. Now, you can say, well, that's
- 22:42Speaker 2: because we have principles. You could also say, the other
- 22:45Speaker 2: side just plays rougher.
- 22:46Speaker 1: They fight dirtier. How do you feel about that?
- 22:48Speaker 3: No, I think you're 100% right about this. In fact,
- 22:51Speaker 3: you can go back to Trump 2016 and When as
- 22:54Speaker 3: soon as he was in office, Trump basically said, I'm
- 22:57Speaker 3: just going to give Hillary a pass. Trump talks tough,
- 23:00Speaker 3: but actually when he enters the White House is surprisingly,
- 23:05Speaker 3: I think to many people, kind to the vanquished foes
- 23:10Speaker 3: of his regime. And look, I mean, even people can
- 23:14Speaker 3: point and they say, OK, Bolton. Bolton, that investigation was
- 23:18Speaker 3: initiated by the Biden administration. And he pled guilty.
- 23:23Speaker 2: He didn't even go to trial on this. I'll take
- 23:26Speaker 2: a little bit of heat on this one. Just to
- 23:28Speaker 2: be totally honest with you guys, I was going to
- 23:29Speaker 2: be very transparent. I thought at first I go, oh, God, Bolton, Trump, Trump,
- 23:35Speaker 2: you know, doesn't like him.
- 23:36Speaker 1: And he took, you know, there's something there. But what
- 23:39Speaker 1: he did was outrageous.
- 23:41Speaker 2: What he did, I would expect to go to, you know,
- 23:43Speaker 2: to go prosecute it if I had done that. You
- 23:45Speaker 2: can't take notes from top secret meetings for your book
- 23:48Speaker 2: that you're keeping at home. And the whole thing was
- 23:51Speaker 2: it was like the Hillary thing.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Black letter law violated. Absolutely.
- 23:56Speaker 2: And I was initially thinking maybe that was maybe Trump
- 24:00Speaker 2: was playing a little rough or the Trump DOJ was
- 24:02Speaker 2: playing a little rough with Bolton. No, that was absolutely legit.
- 24:05Speaker 2: There was nothing there other than the administration of justice.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Amen. Now, some people might point to Ilhan Omar, which
- 24:12Speaker 3: is currently the investigation underway. I think she's going to
- 24:15Speaker 3: get charged. But, Buck, we should get Miranda Devine on
- 24:19Speaker 3: to talk about this because she wrote about this for
- 24:22Speaker 3: years ago in the New York Post. They already have
- 24:25Speaker 3: done DNA analysis somehow and determined that the guy that
- 24:31Speaker 3: she married was 99.89% likely to be her brother. So
- 24:38Speaker 3: that is pretty clear-cut fraud. If you marry your brother
- 24:42Speaker 3: for citizenship purposes and we have evidence of it, that's
- 24:47Speaker 3: not a difficult case to prove.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Yeah, but this is a very important distinction, and they
- 24:52Speaker 2: love to muddy this up, so you have to always
- 24:54Speaker 2: keep this in mind, everyone. Lawfare is the bad faith usage,
- 25:01Speaker 2: weaponization of law against a person you don't like, usually
- 25:06Speaker 2: in this case for political reasons, knowing that they didn't
- 25:10Speaker 2: really do anything worthy of prosecution.
- 25:12Speaker 1: That's lawfare.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Lawfare is not... You broke the law. You happen to
- 25:18Speaker 2: be in the opposition party. You happen to be someone
- 25:21Speaker 2: Trump doesn't like. And now you're being prosecuted because the
- 25:25Speaker 2: if you don't do that, you actually have kind of
- 25:28Speaker 2: an opposite effect of.
- 25:29Speaker 1: So none of Trump's political enemies can be prosecuted. None
- 25:33Speaker 1: of Trump's. So what does that mean?
- 25:35Speaker 2: You know, if you had some Democrat senator who Ted
- 25:39Speaker 2: Kennedy style got drunk and drowned some woman in the
- 25:41Speaker 2: back of the car, which was a thing that happened.
- 25:45Speaker 2: They just can't be prosecuted because, oh, that would look like– no,
- 25:48Speaker 2: that's not lawfare. That's the law. And to your point
- 25:52Speaker 2: about Ilhan Omar, Clay, if she used fraud to attain
- 25:56Speaker 2: legal status in the United States– that legal status is
- 26:00Speaker 2: invalid and can be removed.
- 26:01Speaker 4: Yes.
- 26:02Speaker 1: And people may not like that, but that's reality. That
- 26:05Speaker 1: is the law. Totally.
- 26:07Speaker 3: And again, maybe we can get Miranda Devine on to
- 26:10Speaker 3: talk about this because that is not a complicated case. Now,
- 26:14Speaker 3: I said earlier today on Fox News right before we
- 26:17Speaker 3: came on that I think Ilhan Omar is going to
- 26:20Speaker 3: be charged. The challenge is going to be, Buck, can
- 26:23Speaker 3: they get a conviction? And we have seen this before
- 26:26Speaker 3: because she's likely to, if the charging happens in Washington, D.C.,
- 26:32Speaker 3: where they have done the searches and the warrants and
- 26:34Speaker 3: everything else, I think it's almost impossible to get her
- 26:37Speaker 3: convicted in Washington, D.C. If they charge in Minnesota, it's
- 26:41Speaker 3: still going to be a challenge, but I think it's
- 26:44Speaker 3: a better chance of getting a conviction there because maybe
- 26:47Speaker 3: you can get a reasonable jury pool there. So all
- 26:52Speaker 3: of this, I think, factors in in a significant way.
- 26:55Speaker 3: um to let's play that cut by the way because
- 26:58Speaker 3: i do think they rolled it over i think do
- 27:00Speaker 3: we play it yesterday i can't remember i think we
- 27:02Speaker 3: did uh but here is senator slotkin for those of
- 27:05Speaker 3: you who did not hear this remember this is supposed
- 27:09Speaker 3: to be buck the moderate senator from michigan she barely
- 27:13Speaker 3: beat mike rogers in 2024 it was super close uh
- 27:16Speaker 3: to um To him winning. She ran 100 percent as
- 27:22Speaker 3: a moderate. And she is saying if your 22 year
- 27:26Speaker 3: old goes to work for Republicans, she wants them to
- 27:30Speaker 3: fear that they might be charged with a crime just
- 27:34Speaker 3: based on whom they're working for. Listen to this.
- 27:36Speaker 6: I want to look at these signature cases and not
- 27:39Speaker 6: just focus on the president, but on the people who
- 27:42Speaker 6: enabled him. I want young people coming out of school
- 27:45Speaker 6: to say, should I go work for the Trump administration?
- 27:47Speaker 3: Like, that sounds fun.
- 27:48Speaker 6: I might get an opportunity. I want them to be like, Lord,
- 27:52Speaker 6: that might be buying myself a ton of problems that
- 27:55Speaker 6: I don't want. And so let me avoid participating in that.
- 27:59Speaker 6: I want that deterrence message.
- 28:01Speaker 3: OK, but this really is insane. And this should be
- 28:06Speaker 3: talked about way more. You and I have been fortunately
- 28:10Speaker 3: in the West Wing several times. I know a lot
- 28:13Speaker 3: of people focus on the big names, the older people
- 28:16Speaker 3: who have significant jobs. For those of you who don't know,
- 28:20Speaker 3: there's a lot of 22 and 23 and 24-year-old, I'll
- 28:24Speaker 3: call them kids, super young people who are working in
- 28:27Speaker 3: the West Wing, recent college graduates. Imagine, for all the
- 28:32Speaker 3: parents and grandparents out there, how much pride you would
- 28:36Speaker 3: have in your son or daughter, grandson or granddaughter, If
- 28:39Speaker 3: they were working in the West Wing, by the way,
- 28:42Speaker 3: a lot of these people not in super political jobs. Buck,
- 28:46Speaker 3: you know this. We were sitting in the West Wing
- 28:47Speaker 3: just a couple of weeks ago. I won't name her,
- 28:51Speaker 3: but there is a young University of Georgia grad who
- 28:54Speaker 3: works the desk at the West Wing. Super kind, super,
- 28:59Speaker 3: super good at her job. She's just a kid, just
- 29:04Speaker 3: a recent college graduate. There are lots of those people
- 29:08Speaker 3: in the White House. And you're saying as a sitting
- 29:11Speaker 3: United States senator that you want these 22-year-olds working in
- 29:16Speaker 3: the Trump White House to be afraid to take those jobs?
- 29:19Speaker 3: You want to target them with prosecutions? Buck, this is why, unfortunately,
- 29:25Speaker 3: I think Trump is going to have to give pardons
- 29:28Speaker 3: to thousands of people. I mean this honestly. He's kind
- 29:32Speaker 3: of joked about it, that if you came within 100
- 29:34Speaker 3: yards of the West Wing, that he's going to basically
- 29:37Speaker 3: have to give you a pardon. What are we talking?
- 29:40Speaker 3: about when we're talking about charging 22-year-olds? Remember, they got
- 29:44Speaker 3: Walt Nada, who's a great assistant of the president, for
- 29:47Speaker 3: moving boxes at Mar-a-Lago and tried to put him in
- 29:51Speaker 3: prison for years. Federal charges. A lot of the big
- 29:54Speaker 3: focus goes on the big names. They're basically telling you, hey,
- 29:59Speaker 3: if you make $ 50, 000 a year or $ 40, 000 a year
- 30:03Speaker 3: working in the Trump administration, we're coming after you too.
- 30:07Speaker 2: I don't want to get too far ahead with the
- 30:09Speaker 2: 28th discussion because that's already happening a lot. And we
- 30:12Speaker 2: didn't even talk about Kamala yesterday, Clay. We got to
- 30:14Speaker 2: hit that today, I might add.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Yes, for The View.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Remember, there was a Kamala discussion to be had on
- 30:18Speaker 2: The View. So we'll get to that later because that
- 30:21Speaker 2: was something left in the cutting room floor. I just
- 30:24Speaker 2: would point out that Well, my prediction for 28 here, Clay,
- 30:31Speaker 2: is if there are broad scale pardons from Trump, a Democrat,
- 30:39Speaker 2: if a Democrat wins in 28, which could very well happen,
- 30:42Speaker 2: a Democrat will challenge some of them, ignore some of
- 30:47Speaker 2: them and bring charges anyway and take it up to
- 30:49Speaker 2: the Supreme Court. Because I do think you're going to
- 30:52Speaker 2: have a problem with. You can't be you can't have
- 30:56Speaker 2: a White House where it's anybody who worked for me
- 31:00Speaker 2: is is cleared of all federal culpability for all things.
- 31:05Speaker 2: When I'm done, you can't have that. So it have
- 31:08Speaker 2: to be tighter than that. And how tight it is,
- 31:10Speaker 2: I think, will be up for now. You might say, well,
- 31:13Speaker 2: buck the Constitution, the pardon powers, absolute all this stuff. Yeah,
- 31:16Speaker 2: but they might bring it. They might bring the charges anyway.
- 31:19Speaker 2: They'll certainly bring the investigations. So they're going to do it.
- 31:24Speaker 2: The Trump team has not actually done that. They have
- 31:27Speaker 2: not done lawfare. Some might argue they haven't even done
- 31:31Speaker 2: aggressive law. You know, it's a different thing. They've been
- 31:35Speaker 2: very gentle with some of what happened. So something to
- 31:40Speaker 2: look at and talk about more as we get into this.
- 31:42Speaker 1: All right.
- 31:43Speaker 2: In the midst of an economy that's showing long-term signs
- 31:46Speaker 2: of growth and short-term inflationary issues, owning gold makes money.
- 31:51Speaker 2: A lot of sense. You might have heard the phrase
- 31:54Speaker 2: owning gold is a hedge against inflation. What that means
- 31:57Speaker 2: is that gold will appreciate faster than the decreasing value
- 32:01Speaker 2: of a dollar when inflation persists. And that's just going
- 32:04Speaker 2: to happen. I own physical gold. I'm still buying gold.
- 32:08Speaker 2: I think it's going to grow in value over time.
- 32:09Speaker 2: And I want Lear Capital to be your gold company.
- 32:12Speaker 2: They've been in business for nearly 30 years with 150,000 customers,
- 32:16Speaker 2: nearly $ 5 billion in transactions. Lear Capital should be a
- 32:19Speaker 2: familiar name. They advertised on the EIB for 20 years exclusively. They,
- 32:24Speaker 2: Lear Capital, have been in business for 30 years, just about.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Now they're a part of our show, and they're our
- 32:30Speaker 2: exclusive gold dealer. Get Lear Capital's free gold investor kit
- 32:33Speaker 2: and ask how to qualify for up to $ 20, 000 in
- 32:36Speaker 2: bonus coins. Contact Lear Capital by texting my name, Buck,
- 32:39Speaker 2: to 43343. The number to text again is 43343, and
- 32:44Speaker 2: just type my name, Buck, before you hit send.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Call Lear at 800-957-GOLD.
- 32:48Speaker 3: That's 800-957-GOLD. Yep.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Smart, fun, sane.
- 32:57Speaker 3: It's the Clay and Buck Show. Here today, here tomorrow.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Every day for your listening pleasure.
- 33:04Speaker 3: Welcome back in, Clay and Buck. We are rolling through
- 33:07Speaker 3: the Monday edition of the program. You want to have
- 33:09Speaker 3: some fun here. I'll also dive into another ridiculous story
- 33:14Speaker 3: about the WNBA. uh in a moment but first we
- 33:18Speaker 3: got a bunch of talkbacks and let's just say buck
- 33:21Speaker 3: bragging about going to home depot for the first time
- 33:24Speaker 3: ever has not been well received by the american public.
- 33:27Speaker 2: You know not not everyone has the manliness and the
- 33:29Speaker 2: testosterone to just walk into home depot and be like
- 33:33Speaker 2: excuse me sir do you have outdoor potting soil there
- 33:36Speaker 2: you go.
- 33:37Speaker 3: I uh am in new york city for the day
- 33:39Speaker 3: and um I was thinking to myself, I should probably
- 33:43Speaker 3: just go to the Home Depot and do some footage
- 33:46Speaker 3: since Buck claimed.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Wow, you're going to troll me from Home Depot, Clay, really?
- 33:50Speaker 3: Claimed there was no Home Depot in New York City,
- 33:52Speaker 3: so how could he have ever been? Also, hey, you
- 33:55Speaker 3: just go into an apartment building and go trick-or-treating. That's
- 33:59Speaker 3: what we do in New York. Dan in Oregon. And, well,
- 34:05Speaker 3: just listen. This is Dan from Oregon.
- 34:07Speaker 5: I don't want to blow your mind, but there's also
- 34:09Speaker 5: a store called Lowe's, just like a A Home Depot,
- 34:12Speaker 5: so boy, that might really blow your mind.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Unbelievable.
- 34:17Speaker 4: Been going to Home Depot.
- 34:18Speaker 3: Since I was like 12.
- 34:19Speaker 4: I'm now 62.
- 34:20Speaker 3: That's just amazing to me. All right, Dan in Oregon.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Can I ask a real question? Is Lowe's... like a
- 34:31Speaker 2: more budget-friendly Home Depot, or is it the same?
- 34:33Speaker 3: I think Lowe's would be the uppity version of Home Depot.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Oh, it's the other way.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Lowe's is a little more frou-frou. Yeah, it's a little
- 34:41Speaker 3: bit more frou-frou. It's a little bit like Target to Walmart.
- 34:45Speaker 2: If your tool belt sits on your hips on your
- 34:48Speaker 2: designer jeans, maybe you go to Lowe's.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Is that how it goes?

- 34:58Speaker 3: The Patriot Radio.
- 34:59Speaker 5: As I recall, Buck, you don't need to go to
- 35:01Speaker 5: the Home Depot because your father-in-law goes there for you
- 35:05Speaker 5: and fixes everything in your house.
- 35:09Speaker 1: Sometimes I forget that you guys listen and remember. I will.
- 35:13Speaker 1: That is true, by the way. He does, actually.
- 35:15Speaker 3: Not to defend Buck. My father-in-law also comes to my
- 35:19Speaker 3: house and fixes things. To be fair, my dad doesn't
- 35:22Speaker 3: know how to fix anything either. Happy birthday, by the way,
- 35:25Speaker 3: to my dad, who turned 82 this past weekend.

- 35:32Speaker 5: Hey, good afternoon, guys. Buck, the first time you went
- 35:35Speaker 5: to Home Depot, you bought bags of potting soil. I

- 35:42Speaker 5: You still haven't really been there. You certainly didn't do
- 35:46Speaker 5: anything manly there. And if I were in charge, I
- 35:48Speaker 5: would also revoke your man card. Try again, honey.
- 35:52Speaker 2: I got dirt, actual dirt, under my fingernails, and you're
- 35:57Speaker 2: telling me that it's not manly?
- 35:59Speaker 1: What world are we living in? It looked like I
- 36:02Speaker 1: had been rummaging around in the mud.
- 36:05Speaker 3: Is the dirt for plants that you're going to put
- 36:07Speaker 3: on the patio of your condo in Miami?
- 36:11Speaker 6: Yes.
- 36:12Speaker 3: Oh, yes. I think there's probably some people out there
- 36:14Speaker 3: that would say dirt on condos in Miami is not
- 36:17Speaker 3: exactly the real dirt.
- 36:20Speaker 2: Category i mean yeah i'm sorry i'm not planning the
- 36:22Speaker 2: sorghum crop for next year okay i'm not a farmer
