- 0:11Well, it's spring and it feels different.
- 0:14Feels great. Feels like we got through a
- 0:16winter of uncertainty. Perhaps.
- 0:19Maybe there's a light at the end of the tunnel.
- 0:21It's good to have you here. On the Rancho Radio podcast, we
- 0:25talked about the 5th epical Revelation because it's so
- 0:28important. It's the biggest secret out in
- 0:32the open in the last, I don't know, I don't know, couple
- 0:35thousand years maybe. And we're really getting into it
- 0:39and I am encouraged by all the discussion going on in social
- 0:43media. It's a lot of deep discussion
- 0:46going on. If you follow it, we have some
- 0:48of it. We're going to read actually
- 0:50from Paper 149. And so there's another section
- 0:55of the book which talks about the miracles of Christ, because
- 1:00this is the second preaching tour that's underway in my mind,
- 1:04it really opens up the door to the the question of faith.
- 1:08So this this segment, this episode is really about the
- 1:11power of faith. So let me read from this paper
- 1:16and again, it's 149 Section 1. And then we'll stop along the
- 1:21way and and get your opinion and I'll share some of my insights.
- 1:26It reads. By the time the camp at Beseda
- 1:28had been broken up, the fame of Jesus, particularly as a healer,
- 1:33had spread to all parts of Palestine and through all of
- 1:36Syria and the surrounding countries.
- 1:38For weeks after they left Beseda, the sick continued to
- 1:42arrive and when they did not find the Master, they would go
- 1:46in search of him. On this tour, Jesus did not
- 1:51deliberately perform any so-called miracles of healing.
- 1:55Nevertheless, scores of afflicted found restoration of
- 1:59health and happiness as a result of the reconstructive power of
- 2:06the intense faith which impelled them to seek for healing.
- 2:10The reconstructive power of faith?
- 2:13Hang on to that for a little bit.
- 2:16Quote. There began to appear about the
- 2:19time of this mission and continue throughout the
- 2:22remainder of Jesus's life on earth, a peculiar and
- 2:26unexplained series of healing phenomena.
- 2:31In the course of this three months tour, more than 100 men,
- 2:34women and children from Judea, Adumia, Galilee, Syria, Tyre and
- 2:42Sudan and from beyond the Jordan were beneficiaries of this
- 2:47unconscious healing by Jesus returning to their homes, added
- 2:52to the enlargement of Jesus's fame.
- 2:57And this they did, notwithstanding that Jesus
- 3:00would, every time he observed one of these cases of
- 3:03spontaneous healing, directly charge the beneficiary.
- 3:08To quote, tell no man. It was never revealed to us just
- 3:13what occurred in these cases of spontaneous or unconscious
- 3:17healing. The Master never explained to
- 3:20His apostles how these healings were affected, other than on one
- 3:26occasion He remarked when touched by an ailing child.
- 3:29I perceive that life has gone forth from me.
- 3:33Quote. In the absence of direct word
- 3:35from the Master regarding the nature, it would be permissible
- 3:38to record our opinion that, being the revelators of such
- 3:42healing phenomena. We believe that many of these
- 3:46apparent miracles of healing were the result of the
- 3:49coexistence of the following three powerful, potent and
- 3:54associated influences #1 the presence of strong, dominant and
- 4:00living faith in the hearts of the human beings who
- 4:03persistently sought healing. Together with the fact that such
- 4:07healing was desired for the spiritual benefits rather than
- 4:12for purely physical restoration #2 the existence of the great
- 4:19sympathy and compassion of the Incarnated and mercy dominated
- 4:24Creator, Son of God, who actually possessed the unlimited
- 4:28and timeless creative healing powers and prerogatives. 3 Along
- 4:34with the faith of the creature and the life of the Creator, it
- 4:38should also be noted that this God Man was the personified
- 4:41expression of the Father's will. If in the contact of the human
- 4:49need and the divine power to meet it, the Father did not
- 4:53will, otherwise the two became one, and the healing occurred
- 4:58unconsciously to the human Jesus, but was immediately
- 5:02recognized by His divine nature. Many of these cases of healings
- 5:08must be found in a great law which has long been known to us,
- 5:12namely what the Creator's Son desires and the Eternal Father
- 5:17wills is, and they write quote in the personal presence of
- 5:25Jesus. Certain forms of profound human
- 5:27faith were literally and truly compelling in the manifestation
- 5:32of healing. Many others sought healing for
- 5:35holy, selfish purposes. They write.
- 5:38For example, a rich widow of Tyre continued to offer more and
- 5:42more money to Jesus, as if the power of God were something to
- 5:46be purchased by the highest bidder.
- 5:49But never would she become interested in the gospel of the
- 5:52Kingdom. It was only the cure of her
- 5:56physical ailments that she sought.
- 5:59And that paragraph speaks to motives.
- 6:03The rich widow wanted to be healed, but her motive was
- 6:05self-centered and had little to do with spiritual desire.
- 6:11By the way, in the Urantia book, the word faith appears 750 times
- 6:18Quote. Only the personal experience of
- 6:20the faith sons of the Heavenly Father can affect the actual
- 6:23spiritual realization of the personality of God.
- 6:28End Quote. In another quote, it says in its
- 6:31true essence, religion is a faith, trust in the goodness of
- 6:35God. God could be great and absolute,
- 6:39somehow even intelligent and personal and philosophy.
- 6:42But in religion, God must also be moral.
- 6:46It must also be good. The entire experience of
- 6:51adjuster or spirit communion is 1 involving moral status, mental
- 6:55motivation, and spiritual experience as pertains to mortal
- 7:00minds. Among the mortals everywhere is
- 7:03this. We are also told mind alone
- 7:06cannot survive mortal death without spirit.
- 7:09Mortal mind without immortal spirit cannot survive.
- 7:12They say the mind of man is mortal.
- 7:15Only the bestowed spirit is immortal.
- 7:19That statement literally means that your faith does save you
- 7:23from material cessation. It does save you from mortal
- 7:27death. Faith.
- 7:29How many times did we hear from even Melchizedek who taught
- 7:33Abraham by your faith you are saved.
- 7:35In the Bible and churches everywhere they tell us it is
- 7:38your faith in God that saves you.
- 7:40Jesus said that many times to his apostles and his followers.
- 7:43It is your faith that saves you. And faith, what do they refer to
- 7:48it? Before reconstructive power,
- 7:50It's tapping into spiritual energy.
- 7:54So we've looked at Jesus's miracles and how faith is an
- 7:58adjutant factor, and we've also differentiated between mind and
- 8:01spirit and how faith connects the two.
- 8:04Faith is a willful act of the mortal mind in willing
- 8:08partnership with the Spirit to join in that eternal adventure.
- 8:14And I sort of think of it as wings.
- 8:17Faith are wings. It allows the eagle to soar just
- 8:21like the faith of a man makes it possible for the miracle of
- 8:25Jesus to have healed them. We, we spent a little bit of
- 8:36time on on faith. And I also want to give
- 8:39attention to something that's kind of new to this program.
- 8:43We haven't done it a long time, but with all of the different
- 8:46conversations that are going on in social media, and that's what
- 8:49they really are. They're they're conversations.
- 8:52I want to roll out a couple of interesting conversations that
- 8:57caught my eye. And here this week, here's one
- 8:59from author Eric Metaxas. I I know Eric, I've worked with
- 9:03him briefly and he's a great writer, great Christian, always
- 9:06has interesting things to say. And he's interviewing A
- 9:10theologian about Adam and Eve. Take a listen.
- 9:12Adam and Eve, what's your best guess when they were alive?
- 9:16Well, the best scientific date we got is 150,000 years ago
- 9:21±100,000 years. We don't have a really good It's
- 9:25because there's no radioisotope clock between 50,000 years ago
- 9:29and 250,000 years ago. We have to use indirect methods
- 9:34and often in the literature they give you the statistical error,
- 9:37but they don't give you the systematic error, which could
- 9:40shift things by 50,000 years up or down.
- 9:44So I actually argue we get a more accurate date from the
- 9:46Bible than we get from the scientific evidence.
- 9:50And we also get more of an accurate date from the Urantia
- 9:53book than from the Bible because they put it at about where he
- 9:55pegs it around 50,000 years ago. Actually, the Urantia book says
- 10:00about 40,000 years ago, that's when Adam and Eve arrived.
- 10:04They were the third epical revelation of revelatory truth.
- 10:09And their blood survives in most of humanity, probably all of
- 10:14humanity on some level. So they are still a big
- 10:18contributing factor to our, maybe not as much as our
- 10:21spiritual development, but certainly our intellectual
- 10:24development. OK, here's an interesting one
- 10:27for those of you who listen to Tucker Carlson.
- 10:31This is him having a discussion about the Nephilim.
- 10:35You ever had conversations about the mighty men of old, men of
- 10:38old mentioned in the Bible and the giants of those days
- 10:43mentioned in Genesis? So there's still the question of
- 10:47not only who were the Nephilim, but what were the Nephilim?
- 10:51And here's a little interesting conversation.
- 10:53And then I'll give you a Uranti book footnote at the end of
- 10:56this, because we know, of course, hold on, here we go.
- 10:59The Nephilim, as described in Genesis 6, this race of giant
- 11:02people who are hybrid between the spirit world and the human
- 11:05world, and they're the reason that God sent the flood.
- 11:07This is all described in Genesis.
- 11:09They were giants. The claim from some people is
- 11:10that's actually real, and the fossil record proves it's real
- 11:13because giant bones, human bones, have been found through
- 11:17the years and that some or a lot of them wind up with the
- 11:19Smithsonian where their existence was suppressed.
- 11:22Yes. You're saying there's actually
- 11:24documentary evidence that that may be true?
- 11:26Yes, there's documentary evidence that Smithsonian has
- 11:29received bones and large coffins from that that long ago.
- 11:33We're talking maybe the 50s or 60s.
- 11:35And there was one case where the Smithsonian said we did receive
- 11:37the bones, but we don't know where they are.
- 11:39Well, if you received human bones that were larger than any
- 11:42human bones ever described in literature ever, other than
- 11:46Genesis 6. Kind of a big story.
- 11:48And you see that story repeated over and over again, especially
- 11:51in America, for hundreds of years.
- 11:55OK, so here the quote from 77, Section 2, paragraph three of
- 12:01the Urantia book where it tells us specifically who the Nephilim
- 12:05are. And you can take this to the
- 12:07bank, share it with all your Christian friends if you ever
- 12:10get into an interesting conversation.
- 12:12And Tucker Carlson, if you happen to perchance be listening
- 12:16to this podcast, you can find what I'm reading in paper 77
- 12:19from the Urantia book where it talks about the post rebellion
- 12:22era on Urantia. This is after the fall of the
- 12:26Calagasia 100. And while I'm not sure about
- 12:29this, I, I tend to believe that the Anunnaki were probably
- 12:33descendants of the 100. And and the reason for that is
- 12:37because the root word of Anunnaki were the Anon, which
- 12:42means 1. And I relate that to the 100.
- 12:47And we know the 100 went on after the rebellion, after
- 12:50Kalagastia, you know, threw in his lot with Lucifer and Satan.
- 12:54And this was what 250,000 years ago when there was war in
- 12:59heaven? And the result of that is
- 13:02described in paper 77 of the Urantia book.
- 13:06The post rebellion era on Urantia witnessed many unusual
- 13:09happenings. A great civilization, the
- 13:12culture of the Dalmatia was going to pieces, the Nephilim.
- 13:17And they specifically used the word Nephilim.
- 13:20And then in parentheses they write the Nodites, which is
- 13:24derivative of the land of Nod from Genesis, where Cain is
- 13:29banished, to the land of Nod where the Nephilim live.
- 13:33Where on earth in those days and when these sons of gods went
- 13:38into the daughters of men and they bore them children, their
- 13:41children were the mighty men of old, the descendants of the
- 13:45Nephilim, the men of renown. And while hardly the sons of
- 13:50God, the staff and their early descendants were so regarded,
- 13:54regarded by the evolutionary mortals of those distant days.
- 14:02Interesting. A pastor is asked.
- 14:07This is one of my favorites that I've seen recently.
- 14:12What is God? Can you explain that to me?
- 14:15I am confused being philosophically consistent and
- 14:18being very honest person. I'm sure you can tell me where
- 14:20God came from. Please try to clarify how you
- 14:23can figure that a spiritual force can have an impact on a
- 14:29material universe to create it. All right, your question, where
- 14:33did God come from? Assumes that you're thinking of
- 14:35the wrong. Obviously it displays that
- 14:37you're thinking of the wrong God because the God of the Bible is
- 14:41not affected by time, space, or matter.
- 14:43If he's, if he's affected by time, space, or matter, he's not
- 14:45God. Time, space, and matter is what
- 14:48we call a continuum. All of them have to come into
- 14:50existence at the same instant. Because if there were a matter
- 14:53but no space, where would you put it?
- 14:56If there were a matter in space but no time, when would you put
- 14:58it? You cannot have time, space, or
- 15:01matter independently. They have to come into existence
- 15:03simultaneously. The Bible answers that in 10
- 15:06words. In the beginning, there's time.
- 15:09God created the heaven, space, and the earth.
- 15:12There's matter, so you have time, space.
- 15:14Matter created a Trinity of trinities there.
- 15:16Just as you know, time is past, present, future.
- 15:18Space has length, width, height. Matter has solid, liquid gas.
- 15:21You have a Trinity of trinities created instantaneously, and the
- 15:24God who created them has to be outside of them.
- 15:27If he's limited by time, he's not God.
- 15:29The guy who created this computer is not in the computer.
- 15:32He's not running around and they're changing the numbers on
- 15:34the screen. OK, the God who created this
- 15:36universe is outside of the universe.
- 15:38He's above it, beyond it, in it, through it.
- 15:40He's he's unaffected by it. So for and the I the concept
- 15:44that of a spiritual force cannot have any effect on a material
- 15:48body. Well, then I guess you'd have to
- 15:50explain to me things like emotions and love and hatred and
- 15:53envy and jealousy and and rationality.
- 15:56I mean if your brain is just a random collection of chemicals
- 15:59that form by chance over billions of years, how on earth
- 16:01can you trust your own reasoning processes and the thoughts that
- 16:03you you think? OK so your your question where
- 16:11did God come from is assuming a limited God and that's your
- 16:16problem. The God that I worship is not
- 16:17limited by time, space, or matter.
- 16:19If I could fit the infinite God in my 3 LB brain he would not be
- 16:22worth worshipping that's for certain.
- 16:24So that's the God that I worship.
- 16:25Thank you. That's a good good and you know,
- 16:28if anyone a good starting place for the rancher book.
- 16:32I've always, I believe, were the first five papers if you if you
- 16:36if that part grabs you, then the rest of the book is pure joy and
- 16:42from paper 2, Section 1, dovetailing on what this pastor
- 16:47just said quote how pure and beautiful, how deep and
- 16:51unfathomable is the supernal ancestor of all things.
- 16:55The Infinite is most excellent in that He imparts himself to
- 16:59men, is the beginning and the end, the Father of every good
- 17:03and perfect purpose. With God all things are
- 17:05possible. The Eternal Creator is the cause
- 17:09of causes. He stands outside of time,
- 17:11space. He is the creator of time and
- 17:14space and matter as well. Last note.
- 17:18This I found to be inspiring. Trust God.
- 17:23Trust where you're being pulled. Trust what you're being asked to
- 17:26let go of. It's not the faint of heart that
- 17:32follow this narrow path. It's the courageous soldier that
- 17:37knows that God is going to work through you and impact many,
- 17:43many people on this planet. So stay focused.
- 17:46Stay on this narrow path. You're deeply, deeply loved.
- 17:53Say, if you like what you're hearing on this podcast, the
- 17:56best thing you can do to thank me is to share it with another
