- 0:25We open up the script. Aloha Pastor Doug with Christ
- 0:28built ministries and men helping men Foundation and what I wanted
- 0:34to do today is talk to Gemini and find out what it's a
- 0:41female's voice, what she thinks the whole Bible says about
- 0:47certain topics about why we were created once saved, always
- 0:51saved. What does it take to enter the
- 0:54Kingdom of heaven? Great resource because letting
- 0:59her know, establishing in the beginning that I want to know
- 1:04what the Bible says, not what other churches say, other people
- 1:08say about certain subjects or topics.
- 1:12Acts 1711. The Bereans, who are of more
- 1:15noble character than the Thessalonians, check the
- 1:18scriptures against what Paul was saying to see if they were
- 1:21accurate. And that's Paul, Apostle Paul,
- 1:23no, God put that in the Bible to make sure that we check everyone
- 1:28against his word. Remember, his word is the only
- 1:32offensive weapon we have against Satan, to cut Satan's lies in
- 1:36pieces, not knowing his word, vulnerable.
- 1:41We don't know when Satan is lying to us, when he's telling
- 1:44the truth. So Gemini, we're going to
- 1:48activate her. Are you there?
- 2:08I'm here and ready to help whenever you are.
- 2:11What's on your mind? All right, we I want to go over
- 2:15theology using systematic theology, sound doctrine, what
- 2:18the whole Bible says about one topic.
- 2:22All right. That sounds like a great
- 2:25approach. Let's dive in.
- 2:27What is the first theological topic or sound doctrine you
- 2:30would like to examine using systematic theology?
- 2:33OK, I'd like to talk about why we were created.
- 2:36Why did God create Adam? God created Adam and humanity
- 2:42primarily for His own glory and for His pleasure out of the
- 2:46abundance of His love and relational nature.
- 2:48They were also made to have fellowship with Him and to
- 2:51exercise dominion over creation as His representatives.
- 2:54So he created Adam in his own image for intimate relationship
- 3:00with him. Is that correct?
- 3:04Yes, that includes fellowship and intimate relationship.
- 3:07Being created in His image means humanity was designed to reflect
- 3:11His character, love and righteousness, and to walk with
- 3:14Him in unbroken communion. So how often?
- 3:17I know the Bible doesn't state it clearly as far as numbers,
- 3:21but how often would you say God walked with Adam?
- 3:25Was it daily? Was it once a week?
- 3:27Was it twice a week? Well, the Bible doesn't specify
- 3:34a frequency. The narrative suggests a
- 3:36continuous, unbroken fellowship. It implies that their communion
- 3:40was constant, with walking and talking with God being a natural
- 3:43part of life in the garden. Would you like to explore how
- 3:46this fellowship relates to the concept of the Fall?
- 3:49No. So when the fall happened, what
- 3:52did that do between their for their relationship meaning?
- 3:59The Fall introduced sin into the world, which created a barrier
- 4:02of separation between God and humanity.
- 4:05This broke the direct, unbroken fellowship Adam and Eve had
- 4:08enjoyed, bringing spiritual death and the need for
- 4:11redemption to restore that relationship.
- 4:14So God could have either A sent him to hell with Satan and his
- 4:18demons, or B sent his son down here to redeem them to die for
- 4:24their sins so he could maintain, or he could go back to having a
- 4:29intimate relationship with them. Is that right?
- 4:34That's right, God and his justice could have condemned
- 4:37humanity for sin, but in his grace and love, He chose to
- 4:40provide a way of redemption through his Son, Jesus Christ,
- 4:43to restore that intimate relationship.
- 4:46OK, so when he sent Jesus down here to die for our sins, what
- 4:51is the definition of grace? Grace is God's unmerited favor.
- 4:58It means receiving His love, forgiveness, and blessings
- 5:01despite deserving judgment for sin, as it is a gift that cannot
- 5:04be earned. OK, so we deserve hell because
- 5:09we we all inherited sin, so to speak, from Adam and Eve and
- 5:14God's grace allows us to build a relationship with Him that was
- 5:20once a lost through sin or by sin from Adam and Eve.
- 5:26That summarizes it perfectly. Through grace, God bridges the
- 5:30gap created by sin, allowing us to be reconciled to Him and
- 5:34restore that eternal relationship.
- 5:36What aspect of doctrine would you like to examine next?
- 5:39So all of the confusion about grace by faith, not by works
- 5:44works. And he's talking about the Old
- 5:46Testament law works. Talking to the Jews is focusing
- 5:50on the branches instead of focusing on the root of the
- 5:53problem, which is an intimate re establishing an intimate
- 5:57relationship with God the Father.
- 6:01That's insightful. You're highlighting that the
- 6:04core purpose of doctrine is to understand the relational unity
- 6:07with God. What is the next doctrine you
- 6:09want to examine? Well, what I want to examine is
- 6:12I want to stay on this, this, this thread of thought because
- 6:17Fast forward until today. Here in America, the confusion
- 6:21is we go to church and faith is contagious like COVID, where you
- 6:27just catch it. It's not something that you have
- 6:31to sacrifice anything for. And even the NLT New Living
- 6:36Translation uses the word free gift, which is not an accurate
- 6:40term. The word free is not in the
- 6:42original Greek text. Is that true?
- 6:48Your observation is correct. When we read free gift in many
- 6:51English translations and verses like Romans 5, the word free is
- 6:55not explicitly present in the original Greek.
- 6:58The Greek word, often translated as gift, like charisma or doria,
- 7:01carries the meaning of something given graciously without
- 7:04payment, but the English adjective is added for clarity.
- 7:08And that English adjective is added for confusion, in my my
- 7:11opinion. Because gift.
- 7:12A gift is something you don't earn, else it's not a gift if I
- 7:17earned it and it's not a gift. A gift is something that you
- 7:21didn't earn. It was given to you.
- 7:25Your logic is sound. A gift, by definition, is
- 7:29something given without expectation of return or
- 7:31payment. So adding free emphasizes that
- 7:34graciousness, but can also unintentionally obscure the
- 7:37intrinsic meaning of the term. How would you like to continue
- 7:40examining this concept of grace? Because if it's a free gift and
- 7:45I have to sacrifice my life and let the rich young ruler in
- 7:49Matthew 19 give away, give up everything he has in order to
- 7:54receive the gift of salvation, that's the opposite of free.
- 8:00You're pointing out a significant theological tension.
- 8:03The call to follow Jesus involves total surrender and
- 8:06sacrifice, which contrasts with the idea of something being
- 8:09entirely without cost to the individual.
- 8:12Where would you like to steer our examination of this topic?
- 8:14Next. So we're stay on, stay on point.
- 8:17So the point I'm making is, again, Jesus came down here to
- 8:23die for our sins so we could have a daily intimate
- 8:29relationship with God the Father.
- 8:32Is that true? Yes, that accurately describes
- 8:37the ultimate purpose of redemption in Christian
- 8:39theology, to reconcile humanity to God so that a restored,
- 8:43intimate relationship with Him can be enjoyed daily.
- 8:46What specific doctrine or passage would be most helpful to
- 8:48look at Nets to explore this? OK so if now if I I speak fluent
- 8:57English I don't speak another language.
- 9:00The hardest language they say to to learn is Taiwanese because of
- 9:06the the pinion the eight different sounds per letter.
- 9:12Now if I practice Taiwanese 2 * a week for two hours each time I
- 9:19practice I say Sunday and Wednesday and I did not practice
- 9:24the language again throughout the week but I hear English
- 9:28being spoken. Would I ever learn the language
- 9:32or how long would it take me to learn the language?
- 9:38Learning a tonal language like Taiwanese requires consistent
- 9:42daily practice and immersion. Practicing for only four hours a
- 9:45week with no intervening exposure would make it extremely
- 9:48difficult to reach fluency, and it could take many years, if at
- 9:51all, to make meaningful progress.
- 9:53You likely need to integrate daily listening, speaking, and
- 9:56study into your routine. Have you considered trying a
- 9:59language learning app or finding a conversation partner for more
- 10:02consistent practice? No, I'm, I'm, I'm making a point
- 10:05here. So with Taiwanese, because my
- 10:08original language is English and because of my age it's it's I
- 10:14have to sacrifice more time and effort to practice and learn the
- 10:21language. It doesn't matter if I'm basils
- 10:24and I'm a multi billionaire, that won't make me learn the
- 10:27language any faster. I can't pay for me learning the
- 10:30language. I have to sacrifice my time,
- 10:34correct? Are absolutely correct when it
- 10:38comes to language acquisition. Personal dedication and time are
- 10:41the only currencies that truly matter.
- 10:44Money cannot purchase the cognitive rewiring in practice
- 10:47required for fluency, regardless of 1's wealth.
- 10:50So now we come over to salvation to receive the gift of
- 10:55salvation. Now the the key to the gate, so
- 10:59to speak, is loving God with all of our heart, mind, soul and
- 11:04strength, correct? That command, often called the
- 11:09Great Commandment, is central to Christian living and
- 11:12demonstrates the fullness of our devotion and faith in response
- 11:15to God's love. What are your thoughts on how
- 11:17this love relates to the experience of faith?
- 11:20Now how do I love a God that I cannot see physically and touch
- 11:27physically? Loving God involves engaging
- 11:32with Him through prayer, obeying His commandments, reading His
- 11:36Word to know His character, and loving others who are made in
- 11:38His image. The Holy Spirit within you
- 11:41empowers you to experience and express this love even without
- 11:44physical sight. What aspect of this relationship
- 11:47would you like to discuss further?
- 11:48Now you said reading his word is how I get to know Godfather so I
- 11:55can end up knowing him and up loving him, correct?
- 12:00Yes, reading his word allows you to understand his character,
- 12:04will and promises, which is foundational to building a
- 12:06personal relationship and growing in your love for him.
- 12:10Now, is there any other way to know God intimately, personally,
- 12:16without knowing his Word? In Christian theology, while God
- 12:23reveals himself through nature and conscience, intimate and
- 12:26personal fellowship is dependent on his special revelation, which
- 12:29is found in His Word. So is it fair to say if you
- 12:33don't know his word intimately, you don't know God intimately?
- 12:40Yes, in Christian theology, because His word reveals his
- 12:43heart, character, and will, it is considered essential for
- 12:47knowing Him intimately and personally.
- 12:49So let's go back to learning Taiwanese.
- 12:53Now, if I'm with a teacher, a Taiwanese language teacher, and
- 13:01let's say it's a he, and he just tells me to practice twice a
- 13:07week for two hours each time I practice, would that be a good
- 13:12teacher? Will I eventually learn the
- 13:15language? Or probably not. 4 hours of
- 13:20practice per week with a teacher is not enough to learn a tonal
- 13:23language like Taiwanese. You would need daily engagement,
- 13:26including listening and speaking outside of those 4 hours to make
- 13:29meaningful progress. So is it fair to say if he
- 13:33taught me two hours a day, every day, 365 days a year, the
- 13:39chances of me learning the language a lot faster would be
- 13:45would be reasonable right? Yes, two hours of daily
- 13:50instruction would greatly accelerate your progress.
- 13:53This level of consistency combined with your own practice
- 13:56makes learning the language much more reasonable.
- 13:59So now if I'm training, if I'm trained in the worldly ways, my
- 14:04parents didn't teach me God's ways when I was young, like
- 14:08learning English. I didn't learn another language
- 14:10when I was young. I learned the self-centered
- 14:13ways. Eye for an eye.
- 14:16Somebody messes with me, Don't let them pick on you, Fight with
- 14:19them. No, nothing about forgiveness,
- 14:23nothing about thinking about others, nothing about guarding
- 14:27my heart. Now I go to church once a week
- 14:31for an hour and a half and I go to a Bible study, let's say on
- 14:35Wednesdays for two hours and throughout the rest of the week
- 14:38I don't read my Bible. What is the chances of me being
- 14:42transformed? Just like with learning a
- 14:47language, meaningful transformation in your spiritual
- 14:50life requires daily, consistent engagement with God's Word and
- 14:53prayer throughout the week, rather than just relying on a
- 14:56few hours at church and Bible study.
- 15:00Now, let me ask you this. If I asked 10 high schoolers,
- 15:04seniors in high school, the 11, the the past 11 years that they
- 15:10were in school, if I asked them, did you ever, how many of you
- 15:15ever went home and did extra work when it wasn't assigned to
- 15:20you by your teacher? How many of the 10 American
- 15:24children you think would raise their hand and say I went home
- 15:27and did extra world history, extra English, even if it wasn't
- 15:33assigned, how many you think would have said that?
- 15:39It's likely very few, if any, would raise their hand.
- 15:42Most students focus primarily on completing assigned tasks, so
- 15:46going beyond that without external motivation is rare.
- 15:50Now going to church. What is the pastor's job
- 15:55according to Ephesians 411 through 16?
- 16:01According to Ephesians 411 through 16, a pastor's job is to
- 16:05equip God's people for the work of ministry and to build up the
- 16:08body of Christ, helping believers reach spiritual
- 16:11maturity and unity in the faith. And we do that by Second Timothy
- 16:16316 and 17. Says what?
- 16:20Second, Timothy 316 and 17 states that all scriptures God
- 16:25breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting
- 16:28and training. And I'm just a language model
- 16:30and can't help with that. And training in righteousness so
- 16:34the person of God will be thoroughly equipped for every
- 16:38good work. So God's Word is our teaching
- 16:44tool, so to speak, our textbook, correct?
- 16:51Yes, in Christian teaching, God's Word is considered the
- 16:54ultimate source and textbook for spiritual wisdom, guidance, and
- 16:57living righteously. So a pastor is being called a
- 17:02spiritual father. Their qualifications in First
- 17:06Timothy 3 Titus one is to manage their family well, making sure
- 17:11their children are of the faith, that their children are
- 17:15respectful. So with God's children in his
- 17:21church, when what did? What did Jesus tell Peter in
- 17:26John 21? In John 21, Jesus tells Peter
- 17:32three times, Feed my lambs, tend my sheep, and feed my sheep,
- 17:37emphasizing the responsibility to care for and nurture God's
- 17:40people. And what does first Peter Tutu
- 17:43say? First, Peter Tutu says like
- 17:48newborn infants, crave pure spiritual milk so that by it you
- 17:52may grow up in your salvation. How's about Hebrews 412?
- 17:59Hebrews 412 states. For the word of God is alive and
- 18:02active, sharper than any double edged sword.
- 18:05It penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and
- 18:08marrow. It judges the thoughts and
- 18:10attitudes of the heart. How's about Matthew 44?
- 18:15Matthew 4. Four states, Jesus answered.
- 18:18It is written, Man shall not live on bread alone, but on
- 18:21every word that comes from the mouth of God.
- 18:24Romans 10/17. Romans 10/17 says consequently
- 18:31faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is
- 18:34heard through the word about Christ.
- 18:37Psalms, 1/19/11. Psalm 1/19/11 states I have
- 18:43hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against
- 18:46you. How do you see this verse
- 18:48applying to the concept of transformation?
- 18:51That reading every day, listening to God is how our
- 18:59hearts start to transform. He removes the hurt from our
- 19:04hearts. He heals that pain, He heals
- 19:07that hurt, makes it into a turns it into a scar so it's now a
- 19:11testimony and fills our heart with His unconditional love
- 19:16little by little. That daily engagement allows His
- 19:22truth to reshape your perspective and heal past
- 19:25wounds, gradually replacing pain with His love.
- 19:28Is there another area of doctrine or Christian living
- 19:31you'd like to explore? And when the pastor instructs
- 19:34the congregation to strategically spend time with
- 19:39God every day through His Word, teaching them how to
- 19:42exegetically interpret His Word correctly, using hermeneutics,
- 19:47correctly sound doctrine, accurate doctrine, correctly
- 19:52teaching them the 66 books in the Bible, different genres.
- 19:56So learning how to interpret it correctly, spending time with
- 20:01the Holy Spirit who's the master teacher every single day.
- 20:06What is the chances of learning the language or being changed
- 20:10into a likeness of Jesus? Is that a?
- 20:15Approach creates a very high likelihood of transformation as
- 20:19it aligns with the biblical pattern of renewing your mind
- 20:21daily through the Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
- 20:24Would you like to discuss the specific role of the Holy Spirit
- 20:27in this process? So like we talked about the
- 20:31teachers, if the teachers don't instruct the children, like I
- 20:36said, the high school is the seniors to do homework.
- 20:40They won't do any homework, just like the pastors.
- 20:45If the pastors don't teach the congregation the importance of
- 20:52spending time building a relationship with God the Father
- 20:56through His Word, people won't take it upon themselves to read.
- 21:02And if they do read, they don't read properly because there's 66
- 21:08books in the Bible and exegetically learning how to
- 21:12interpret the scriptures properly needs to be taught.
- 21:16It's not common sense. If they're not instructed to do
- 21:20it, most people will not do it. And if they do not correctly and
- 21:26consistently correct. Your reasoning is consistent.
- 21:32Effective instruction and clear expectations are vital for
- 21:35developing both academic and spiritual habits correctly and
- 21:38consistently. Now, if the cure for cancer, the
- 21:44cancer called sin, takes 10 steps, for the sake of this
- 21:49discussion, let's say 10 steps and I only teach you 5 steps, so
- 21:56you cannot receive the cure for the cancer called sin.
- 22:01It's an. Incomplete teaching or I am a
- 22:04false teacher, correct? Context of your analogy.
- 22:11Withholding crucial steps of a necessary process would indeed
- 22:15render the teaching incomplete and potentially misleading.
- 22:21So. You hear it?
- 22:23The main. Goal of Christianity is building
- 22:27an intimate relationship with God the Father, not working
- 22:31around him, not doing works, not trying to be a good husband, a
- 22:35part around God the Father or apart from God the Father.
- 22:39It's not like going to the sideline in football, hearing
- 22:43the coach give you instructions and running back into the field
- 22:46to the and and carrying out the play.
- 22:48That's not how God the Father works.
- 22:50We have the Holy Spirit in our lives, so it's going through God
- 22:54the Father so He can change my heart to be a better husband, to
- 23:00be a better son to my parents, to be a better worker at my job.
- 23:06He, once He changes you from the inside, everything starts to
- 23:10change. Now remember going back to the
- 23:14beginning, God created Adam in his own image to have a daily
- 23:21intimate relationship with Adam. Sin came into the world.
- 23:27Stop that from happening. Because God is holy, He cannot
- 23:31be around unholy, rebellious, prideful people.
- 23:35So he could have sent Adam and Eve to hell with Satan and his
- 23:39demons, or he could have redeemed them by sending his son
- 23:44Jesus to pay the penalty and die for their sins, which is our
- 23:48sins too, because we inherited sin, so to speak, from Adam and
- 23:53Eve. So the grace.
- 23:58I was. Confused for years about grace
- 24:01and faith and it's not by works. But what is the difference
- 24:05between following God? How do I know I'm following him?
- 24:10Because I love him and I trust him and I'm not following him
- 24:13because I I don't want to go to hell.
- 24:15They were one in the same to me. They were intertwined together.
- 24:20So it was very confusing. And all the churches I went to,
- 24:24it was like faith was caught like COVID, you know, like
- 24:29COVID, you wear your mask and you don't you, you take the
- 24:33precautions and then all of a sudden you lose your taste.
- 24:35When you get home, you get flu like symptoms.
- 24:38You, you find out you got COVID. You don't know how you got
- 24:40COVID. You just caught it somehow.
- 24:42You didn't try to catch it. You tried not to catch it, but
- 24:44you caught it. People make it out to be today
- 24:48that faith is contagious to God. You just got to believe
- 24:52intellectually that Jesus came down here, died for my sins,
- 24:55rose from the dead, and I'm saved.
- 24:58That doesn't make any sense because I've done that many,
- 25:03many times. I never questioned Jesus being
- 25:05here. I grew up a Catholic, always
- 25:07believing in Jesus intellectually, never trusted
- 25:11him, never having an intimate relationship with him, never
- 25:14knowing how to. So my heart was hard, like a
- 25:17lava rock. I still hated a lot of people so
- 25:21I could follow him on my best days in certain areas.
- 25:26But when I struggle, I revert back to my my old ways, my heart
- 25:31again, my innermost thoughts and feelings.
- 25:33My character was still programmed to English, it didn't
- 25:38transform over to Taiwanese. See, when we learn our own ways,
- 25:45our foolish self-centered ways, we don't learn about God's ways.
- 25:50Learn how to forgive, learning how to love our enemies.
- 25:54Matthew 5 Learning how to guard our hearts.
- 25:59We don't have that relationship. The daily relationship with
- 26:02Jesus. Learning that when we were
- 26:04young, we have bad habits. We get hurt.
- 26:08Somebody hurts me. They don't offer me food.
- 26:11They they don't include me. They tease me, let's say.
- 26:16How do I get? Rid of that, how do I not let
- 26:18that affect me? We don't go home and tell our
- 26:20parents, most of us, especially in the Hawaiian culture.
- 26:24So you know what we do? We just start it.
- 26:26We cope and the more and more hurt we get, the harder our
- 26:32hearts get. We got to harden our hearts,
- 26:34acting like we don't care because it'll hurt too much.
- 26:39So it'll change who God created us to be or how He created us to
- 26:44be because that heart in heart is supposed to be soft and
- 26:48loving not hard and uncaring. So when we focus on re
- 26:55establishing our relationship with God the Father or
- 26:58establishing our relationship with God the Father, which is
- 27:01why Jesus came here in the 1st place.
- 27:05If you focus on the health of your relationship, 100% focusing
- 27:11on keeping your relationship or establishing a relationship with
- 27:15Jesus every day, keeping it healthy every day, guarantee
- 27:20he's going to change your life. Guarantee God says when you seek
- 27:25me, you will find me. When you seek me with all your
- 27:29heart. So let's say you're seeking him
- 27:31and you read the program. We have a reading plan.
- 27:34You read the reading plan and you're doing it half heartedly
- 27:37checking the box. I pray Father, help me to love
- 27:42you with all my heart. Change me.
- 27:44Please help me to love my wife like Jesus of the church.
- 27:48When I read his word, the commands that he says lay down
- 27:53your life for your brother or sister.
- 27:56Think of. Others better than yourself.
- 27:59I pray and I say help me. Change my.
- 28:03Heart and help me to think of others better than myself.
- 28:06Help me to want to lay down my life for another brother or
- 28:10sister. Help me to learn how to love my
- 28:13enemy now. Forgiving your enemies, wanting,
- 28:17loving them is 10 miles past forgiveness.
- 28:20See, God doesn't tell us these things to punish us.
- 28:24He's saying don't love the lovable when you have my Holy
- 28:28Spirit in you. God is in us.
- 28:32We're even capable of loving the unlovable.
- 28:35That's the power of God. Just like Gideon, 300 men
- 28:41against 135,000. God wanted the odds to be that,
- 28:46that ridiculously far apart, so nobody could say it.
- 28:51Because Gideon had some mighty warriors like David, like King
- 28:54David. Well, he had some tough guys,
- 28:56those treasured men. They were like Navy Seals and
- 29:00then some. No, no, no.
- 29:02Even if they were Navy Seals and then some, 135,000 against 300.
- 29:08Ridiculous. Nobody would bet on the 300.
- 29:11But see, that's the power of God.
- 29:14God is a God of miracles. He can change anybody.
- 29:17How? Not by working around God or
- 29:22trying to read His Bible and apply His word and His ways to
- 29:27our lives. That's why Jesus says in Matthew
- 29:30721 through 23 to come to Jesus and say on Judgement Day I
- 29:34prophesied in your name, I cast out demons, I went to church, I
- 29:38cried when I sang, I watched the children I I put on functions, I
- 29:45did the Angel tree with the prisoners and gave gifts.
- 29:49Jesus is going to say I never need you if you don't have an
- 29:53intimate relationship with Jesus.
- 29:57You're not going to. Change.
- 29:58You're not going to love Him. How can you love somebody you
- 30:01don't know? How can you trust somebody you
- 30:04don't know? So it's about the daily intimate
- 30:09relationship with God the Father through His Word.
- 30:13You learn primarily from listening to somebody tell you
- 30:17about themselves. Reading His word is primarily
- 30:20listening to God and not just intellectual guys from the heart
- 30:25too. When you read the Old Testament,
- 30:28how did he feel when Israel turned their back on him?
- 30:31He got them out of Egypt just to hear them complain.
- 30:34You should have left us in Egypt.
- 30:36Now we're hungry. We don't have any food.
- 30:39The ungratefulness that. They were.
- 30:42Showing broke God's heart when Solomon all the wisdom and
- 30:47wealth God gave him, he he married outside of his his his
- 30:52nation and worshipped his wives gods.
- 30:57Talk about. Breaking God's heart.
- 31:00And you know, a lot of the things that the Israelites do, I
- 31:04did, I did to God. And I am so sorry.
- 31:09Father, help me change, forgive me.
- 31:12Change my heart so I never hurt you again.
- 31:14I never hurt the people I love, my wife, my children, heal my
- 31:19heart and the pain and the suffering we go through, it's
- 31:23like gold refined by the fire. The impurities rise to the
- 31:28surface because of the fire. Fire represents problems.
- 31:33That's why God says consider it pure joy when you face problems
- 31:38because I'm going to show you what's in your heart, Doug.
- 31:41I'm going to show you the clogged arteries, so to speak,
- 31:44so I can unclog them and they can flow with my love.
- 31:48Now go and love your wife. Now you know how to love your
- 31:52wife like my son. Jesus loves the church.
- 31:55Now forgive. You see, it's not working around
- 32:01Jesus or because we know him here.
- 32:04It's because of the relationship and him little by little
- 32:08changing us here. Healing the wounds, healing the
- 32:13hurt. When people didn't love you like
- 32:17you should have been loved, didn't encourage you like you
- 32:19should have been encouraged didn't like in cheers with Norm
- 32:26when every time he walks in Norm.
- 32:29Giving you. That that comfort in getting
- 32:33excited when they see you. You're special, special to God.
- 32:38When you build your relationship with Him, you're going to see
- 32:42what true love is. The love he has for you, you
- 32:46can't experience from here. You can't experience going to
- 32:50church once a week and going to a Bible study.
- 32:54That's why the pastor's not pushing you to read your Bible.
- 32:59False teaching. Just like I asked AI if there's
- 33:0410 steps to receive the gift of a cure for cancer called sin,
- 33:08and I only give you 5. Am IA False teacher.
- 33:13Yeah. She said.
- 33:15And that's true, pastors, spiritual father, if I didn't
- 33:21feed my kids every day, three times a day, they would arrest
- 33:24me. God told Peter three times,
- 33:28Jesus, feed my sheep, take care of my lambs, take care of my
- 33:32sheep. My job as a pastor is to help
- 33:36you build your relationship with God the Father, show you how to
- 33:41interpret his Bible correctly so you understand his
- 33:45autobiography. His biography is somebody wrote
- 33:48about him. Autobiography is he wrote it
- 33:51about himself. No way we can know God
- 33:54intimately without knowing his word intimately.
- 33:57Don't listen to the false teaching pastors out there.
- 33:59If they don't tell you to read every day, they're false
- 34:03teachers. They're incomplete teaching
- 34:06teachers, so they're false. You cannot receive the gift of
- 34:10salvation without an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ
- 34:14Carrying ball barons. You can't do it.
- 34:17Your heart will not change if you have any unforgiveness in
- 34:21your heart. He didn't clean out your heart.
- 34:23See, water comes into this house with one pipe in one pipe clean.
- 34:28Some goes into the sink we use for cooking.
- 34:32You can drink the basin in the bathroom can drink that water.
- 34:35The shower can drink that water. Some goes into the toilet bowl.
- 34:40Nobody will drink the toilet bowl water.
- 34:42Why? The water was clean.
- 34:45It's the container. The toilet bowl is what's
- 34:48contaminated with bacteria. If our hearts are contaminated,
- 34:54the Holy Spirit will never, ever, ever come into our hearts.
- 34:59He has to clean it out. He has to sterilize it.
- 35:04And the only way He can and will is through the daily intimate
- 35:09relationship with Him. Guarantee I have a Bible basics
- 35:15me and my wife Lelia made she was the one that put it together
- 35:19as a bookmark and we have a spiritual routine.
- 35:23How you start your day with God in prayer.
- 35:24You close your your day in prayer as well, reflecting
- 35:28specific sections what to read. We read the old.
- 35:33Testament, Psalms or Proverbs and New Testament every single
- 35:40day. See, it's it's not by works and
- 35:43he was talking exegetically talking to the Jews about
- 35:46implementing circumcision, eating certain types of foods,
- 35:50not eating certain types of foods, blending it with the New
- 35:53Testament, that doesn't apply to us.
- 35:58But. You cannot earn salvation, just
- 36:00like you cannot pay for learning a language another language.
- 36:06You have to sacrifice your time to practice.
- 36:12If you want a close relationship with your spouse, you have to
- 36:16make the time to spend with them, listening to them speak
- 36:23about themselves to you, getting to know their character, getting
- 36:27to love and feel what they went through and you speaking to
- 36:32them, them getting to know what you went through, getting to
- 36:37know you. And that's where the love comes,
- 36:40that's where the connection comes.
- 36:42So he who walks with the wise grow wise.
- 36:46We walk with God every day. The Holy Spirit is the master
- 36:50teacher will guarantee be there to build and it's through his
- 36:56autobiography. His word is what's going to
- 36:59start to change your heart little by little by little.
- 37:05God bless you till we meet again.
