- 0:04Speaker 1: Mary Brown joining us right now, senior contributor to Forbes. Moury,
- 0:08Speaker 1: great to have you and hope you're enjoying the World Series.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Your thoughts so far?
- 0:14Speaker 2: You know, I think it was a lot more competitive
- 0:15Speaker 2: than I anticipated. I thought the Dodgers were going to
- 0:18Speaker 2: go in and run ramsh I mostly due to pitching.
- 0:22Speaker 2: But you know, I think that it's been largely exciting.
- 0:26Speaker 2: I mean, we've got a dog on series, guys. I
- 0:30Speaker 2: think the thing that's most amazing is that we're going
- 0:32Speaker 2: to have a World Series begin and end in Canada,
- 0:36Speaker 2: and we've never seen that before. So yeah, I think
- 0:39Speaker 2: it's good. I think that it's great for the game.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Maury.
- 0:44Speaker 1: We enjoyed your article and tweet about the business of
- 0:48Speaker 1: baseball and the World Series. But let's start with what
- 0:51Speaker 1: you put out there last night. Can you explain to
- 0:54Speaker 1: everyone how MLB sponsorship works and how much it's up
- 0:59Speaker 1: the year and why.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Yeah, so the story centers on team sponsorship, right, which
- 1:05Speaker 2: this is a little bit different than the league sponsorship.
- 1:08Speaker 2: So if you think about this, the number I'm going
- 1:10Speaker 2: to give you add more to it. So just for
- 1:13Speaker 2: the clubs, for the thirty clubs, it exceeded two billion
- 1:18Speaker 2: dollars this year, which is a substantial amount, right, I
- 1:21Speaker 2: mean it's climbed over sixty percent since twenty twenty two.
- 1:26Speaker 2: So you ask yourself, how in the world does this happen. Well,
- 1:31Speaker 2: there's a lot of business sectors that get involve financial
- 1:34Speaker 2: as you see in the graphic right there, leads the way.
- 1:37Speaker 2: And when talking to the folks that put this report together,
- 1:41Speaker 2: a sponsor united about this, I asked, why is this?
- 1:45Speaker 2: Why is baseball doing so well? Baseball is the only
- 1:49Speaker 2: sport other than the NFL that has exceeded this two
- 1:53Speaker 2: billion dollar threshold. So why Well, it's largely been conservative.
- 1:58Speaker 2: I mean, it's you know, it's a fan sport. You know,
- 2:01Speaker 2: it's really family oriented, it's in the summer. I think
- 2:05Speaker 2: the changes to the game have absolutely made more engagement
- 2:09Speaker 2: and that's involved a lot more sponsors. But look, guys,
- 2:13Speaker 2: the big driver, the biggest driver and all this is
- 2:16Speaker 2: the Dodgers. They have twenty Japanese sponsors this year, and
- 2:22Speaker 2: that's obviously due to show Ao Tani, but also Yamamoto
- 2:25Speaker 2: and Sake, So you add that together. The Dodgers have
- 2:30Speaker 2: been the outlier that have made this extreme growth that
- 2:32Speaker 2: we've seen over time. But I mean it's a cash cow.
- 2:36Speaker 2: It's it's something that I think is largely underreported. We
- 2:40Speaker 2: look a lot at television, which of course is still
- 2:42Speaker 2: super important, but the way that baseball has continued to
- 2:46Speaker 2: grow major League Baseball to I would assume we're going
- 2:49Speaker 2: to get to thirteen billion dollars in gross revenues next year.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I mean, you know, when people say baseball is dying,
- 2:57Speaker 2: I don't think they really understand what that means.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Well, listen, but Showhey was bad for the game when
- 3:03Speaker 4: he signed with the Dodgers, and Yamamoto signing was bad,
- 3:07Speaker 4: and Sazaki signing was bad, and we need a salary
- 3:10Speaker 4: cap and we need Dodgers are bad for baseball.
- 3:12Speaker 5: Everything you're telling me.
- 3:14Speaker 4: First of all, they clearly there's teams that have money.
- 3:16Speaker 4: Second of all, the Dodgers have been great for not
- 3:18Speaker 4: only the Dodgers but for every other team. If they're
- 3:21Speaker 4: bringing in all this money, you know, and then they
- 3:23Speaker 4: have to give it to the Pirates, and they have
- 3:25Speaker 4: to give it to the Rays, and they have to
- 3:26Speaker 4: give it to the Marlins. So I don't know why
- 3:29Speaker 4: people say baseball is dying. Viewerships up revenues are up,
- 3:32Speaker 4: sponsorships are up. I just don't I agree with you, Moore.
- 3:35Speaker 4: I don't understand why people keep saying this other than
- 3:38Speaker 4: to sell a narrative that's false.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, you know, the idea that there could
- 3:43Speaker 2: be more economic parody, Okay, I mean it's not gonna
- 3:47Speaker 2: come with the salary cap, guys. I think that what
- 3:50Speaker 2: you're gonna see is an attempt to have that happen.
- 3:54Speaker 2: But again, I think that what you're going to continue
- 3:56Speaker 2: to see is tightening up of the system that we
- 4:00Speaker 2: have now. I think that'll just continue to be happening.
- 4:02Speaker 2: I think one thing that does come into play here
- 4:05Speaker 2: if we don't have deferred compensation, and that really leans
- 4:08Speaker 2: heavily into clubs like the Dodgers and the Mets, where
- 4:11Speaker 2: they know that their revenues are going to be really
- 4:13Speaker 2: strong over a long period of time, so that they
- 4:16Speaker 2: don't run into a position to where you know, they're overleveraged.
- 4:21Speaker 2: That played a large part into the Dodgers being able
- 4:24Speaker 2: to go out and get additional talent by deferring that
- 4:28Speaker 2: salary for Shoeotani. So you know, it's good for the
- 4:33Speaker 2: game in the sense that right now we have star
- 4:35Speaker 2: power in the World Series, and that's great. I'm sure
- 4:39Speaker 2: that there are a lot of clubs out there that
- 4:41Speaker 2: want to have this. But guys, I mean, I don't
- 4:44Speaker 2: know how to tell fans. There's no way that a
- 4:46Speaker 2: salary cap fixes the Pirates or the A's or the Rays.
- 4:50Speaker 2: It will maybe help the middle class maybe a little
- 4:54Speaker 2: bit more. It might, but even then I don't think so.
- 4:56Speaker 2: I think you would continue to see the usual suspects,
- 5:00Speaker 2: the Phillies, Dodgers, Cubs, obviously you know, the Yankees, Red Sox,
- 5:05Speaker 2: and you're gonna see those clubs year in and year out.
- 5:08Speaker 2: But again, if I go back to that sponsorship money
- 5:11Speaker 2: that we're talking about, while the Dodgers are far and
- 5:14Speaker 2: away more they have enough to basically find another club, right,
- 5:18Speaker 2: That's how far and away they have more sponsorship money.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Right behind them are the likes of the Yankees and
- 5:27Speaker 2: the Red Sox, the clubs that you would expect to
- 5:29Speaker 2: see a large amount of sponsorship dollars right large markets,
- 5:34Speaker 2: big brands, historic brands. And that's why you continue to
- 5:38Speaker 2: see that Mary, how did the Angels completely screw this up?
- 5:43Speaker 6: Like it'd be one thing if show he was like Okay,
- 5:45Speaker 6: he was in Milwaukee or Arley in Texas or Houston,
- 5:50Speaker 6: and then he went to the Dodgers like, oh man,
- 5:52Speaker 6: well you know the big market LA. He was up
- 5:55Speaker 6: in Los Angeles, Savannaheim.
- 5:57Speaker 5: I get it.
- 5:58Speaker 6: But how did the you'll screw this up? And how
- 6:02Speaker 6: if you were to guess, how much money do you
- 6:04Speaker 6: feel like they left on the table the fact that
- 6:07Speaker 6: essentially a Dodgers are bringing in enough money right now
- 6:09Speaker 6: to cover his salary plus some based on the fact
- 6:13Speaker 6: that they had showhey for the last seven or for
- 6:16Speaker 6: seven years.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I can speculate. I don't. I don't
- 6:21Speaker 2: think this has to do terribly much with you know,
- 6:24Speaker 2: the competency of the people around the sponsorship side. I mean,
- 6:28Speaker 2: the Dodgers have always tied in tightly in the Pacific
- 6:32Speaker 2: rim just as a general rule, and they just have
- 6:35Speaker 2: I think an incredible amount of gravity given the name
- 6:38Speaker 2: Dodger Stadium. You know, I think Artie Moreno is a
- 6:43Speaker 2: very hands on owner. I think that that has not
- 6:47Speaker 2: necessarily played out well for the club, whether it's them
- 6:52Speaker 2: trying to get a new ballpark or whether obviously the
- 6:56Speaker 2: situation that we have going now with care and the
- 7:00Speaker 2: situation with Skags and that whole scandal that's going on
- 7:04Speaker 2: around a drug overdose, and I don't know, I mean,
- 7:08Speaker 2: I would say that if you're gonna say screw it up.
- 7:11Speaker 2: I think that it's largely around the flexibility that the
- 7:14Speaker 2: Dodgers created with this deal, and they just have this
- 7:18Speaker 2: incredible amount I think of I'll say it again gravity,
- 7:23Speaker 2: They just they just have turned into the Yankees. And
- 7:27Speaker 2: for those obviously old enough to remember, I mean, it
- 7:30Speaker 2: was like the Yankees just seem to have owned the universe, right,
- 7:34Speaker 2: I mean, the Red Sox were right there. I think
- 7:36Speaker 2: the Dodgers are that team now, and they're smart. I
- 7:40Speaker 2: just you know, Stan Kas and everybody at the top
- 7:43Speaker 2: is not dumb. Everybody thought that when Mark Walter and
- 7:48Speaker 2: Gougenheim Partners went out and purchased the Dodgers for what
- 7:51Speaker 2: they did, that they over they spent too much. Well,
- 7:56Speaker 2: I mean, come on, guys, and they're making so much
- 7:59Speaker 2: money right now they're gonna make you know, I don't know,
- 8:03Speaker 2: they'll make probably over the next couple two or three years.
- 8:09Speaker 2: I think that they could approach five hundred million dollars
- 8:12Speaker 2: in sponsorship money. I mean that idea that the the
- 8:16Speaker 2: Otani contract was somehow bad, just did not look at
- 8:21Speaker 2: how the business side of sports works and how the
- 8:24Speaker 2: Dodgers have parlayed that into you know, obviously even more money.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Let's think about this when we talk about a salary cap.
- 8:32Speaker 2: If the Dodgers are making this much money now in
- 8:34Speaker 2: an uncapped system, how much money are they going to
- 8:36Speaker 2: be making in a cap system? And I think a
- 8:40Speaker 2: cap system really just really lends itself to the owners
- 8:44Speaker 2: right to make more money. Otherwise they wouldn't push so
- 8:48Speaker 2: hard for it.
- 8:50Speaker 1: This episode of FT is brought to you Byule Cheers.
- 8:55Speaker 1: We got a new Hewel addition here the daily Greens.
- 8:58Speaker 1: I've got blueberry, lemon and time you've got.
- 9:03Speaker 7: I got myself peach and a biscus. I love peach.
- 9:05Speaker 7: This is delicious fuel for the go man. And this
- 9:09Speaker 7: is really good for your body. It's really good for
- 9:11Speaker 7: your systems. Anything that has greens in it, especially from Huel,
- 9:14Speaker 7: is pretty fantastic. This will get you going a little energy,
- 9:17Speaker 7: a little boost, and keep your inside feeling well too.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Develop a registered nutritionists and dietitians who vitamins, minerals and
- 9:24Speaker 1: superfoods only twenty five calories, four grams of fiber, only
- 9:27Speaker 1: one gram of sugar.
- 9:28Speaker 3: That's the goods.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Of course, we still love the cule black addition, I
- 9:32Speaker 1: got chocolate peanut butter.
- 9:33Speaker 3: How you doous, Let's go.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Fuel makes healthy eating simple. They also just launched into
- 9:38Speaker 1: Target stores nation. Why try both products today with fifteen
- 9:41Speaker 1: percent off your purchase for new customers with the exclusive
- 9:44Speaker 1: code foul at quel dot com slash foul. Use that
- 9:47Speaker 1: code and fill out the post checkout survey to help
- 9:49Speaker 1: support the show way way more. On a cap system,
- 9:53Speaker 1: they would be profiting like crazy, and then what would happen, Maury?
- 9:58Speaker 1: If you're Japanese player, you would say, Okay, money's going
- 10:02Speaker 1: to be about the same because now my salary is suppressed.
- 10:05Speaker 1: I'm definitely signing with Dodgers every time because my marketing
- 10:08Speaker 1: money is going to be one hundred x if I
- 10:11Speaker 1: sign with them.
- 10:11Speaker 3: And that's my question.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Even under the current system, for fans that don't care
- 10:15Speaker 1: how much money the teams, the league, even the players
- 10:18Speaker 1: are making, they might want to know, how do we
- 10:20Speaker 1: prevent the Dodgers from signing the top talent really in Asia,
- 10:26Speaker 1: but definitely in Japan. Right, So, for example, this past offseason,
- 10:29Speaker 1: they bring over Kim and then of course they get
- 10:31Speaker 1: Roki Sasaki. Any team could have afforded him. Based on
- 10:34Speaker 1: what you're saying right now, is there any pathway for
- 10:38Speaker 1: fans of other teams to try and recruit Japanese players?
- 10:42Speaker 1: If someone like Roki Sazaki can sign with any team
- 10:45Speaker 1: for the same amount of money, Like fans want to know,
- 10:47Speaker 1: how do we stop that as Roki is now the
- 10:50Speaker 1: closer for LA during this run.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think you can. And the reason I
- 10:56Speaker 2: say that is it's not like other sports don't have
- 10:59Speaker 2: this problem. You know, you just cannot create a holy
- 11:04Speaker 2: socialist system where everybody's going to be on an even
- 11:07Speaker 2: playing field. I mean, Otani pulls in about I want
- 11:10Speaker 2: to say, pulled in one hundred and twenty five million
- 11:12Speaker 2: dollars in individual endorsement money. A lot of that is,
- 11:17Speaker 2: of course, his star power, but the fact that he's
- 11:19Speaker 2: in Los Angeles and guys, we've seen this across all sports, right,
- 11:23Speaker 2: I mean, maybe the NFL to a lesser extent where
- 11:27Speaker 2: a skill player can really move the needle quickly, but
- 11:32Speaker 2: you're always going to see players go to larger markets.
- 11:35Speaker 2: I mean, it's just it makes for easier sponsorship deals.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Now that said, cal Ralely has the most sponsorship deals
- 11:47Speaker 2: out of any player right now in Major League Baseball.
- 11:49Speaker 2: I believe he's at seventeen now. His money's not approaching
- 11:53Speaker 2: what Shoi Otani is. But I mean the opportunities are
- 11:58Speaker 2: there and so on an individual level, as you'd say
- 12:02Speaker 2: him in Seattle, which you know isn't a tiny market,
- 12:06Speaker 2: but it isn't large mindy, you know, stretching the imagination.
- 12:10Speaker 2: I think that there are opportunities there globally to do that,
- 12:13Speaker 2: but there will always be I think those larger markets,
- 12:16Speaker 2: the New York's. I think New York in some senses
- 12:19Speaker 2: actually hinders itself due to the media pressure. Right. You
- 12:23Speaker 2: just don't get that on the West Coast. It's just
- 12:25Speaker 2: a lot mellower as somebody that lives out here. You
- 12:29Speaker 2: just don't see people living and dying that much by it.
- 12:31Speaker 2: And there's not that much scrutiny. I mean, it's their scrutiny,
- 12:35Speaker 2: but not on the level that you would see if
- 12:37Speaker 2: you were at the Yankees. And I think that that
- 12:38Speaker 2: actually lends itself to some players wanting to go to
- 12:42Speaker 2: the likes of the Dodgers, right so again, I just
- 12:46Speaker 2: don't know how you can say, hey, if we put
- 12:49Speaker 2: a salary cap system in, suddenly Pittsburgh is that much
- 12:53Speaker 2: more attractive. I think that the problem for the Pittsburghs
- 12:56Speaker 2: and any well soon to be Las Vegas or Tampa
- 13:00Speaker 2: Bay is that they're pocketing revenue sharing money instead of
- 13:04Speaker 2: trying to be more competitive. And you can be more competitive.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Clubs absolutely have windows. Now as we saw the Brewers,
- 13:12Speaker 2: the Guardians right, which were in the bottom, you know,
- 13:15Speaker 2: third and some of them, right, I think the Guardians,
- 13:19Speaker 2: I think we're twenty five by payroll rank. I mean,
- 13:23Speaker 2: you can get in, and you know, if we expand
- 13:25Speaker 2: the playoffs even further, you know, certainly with expansion there's
- 13:29Speaker 2: talk about adding another couple of teams. I know that
- 13:31Speaker 2: the owners try to get that the last round of
- 13:33Speaker 2: collective bargaining. Okay, now you can get your foot in
- 13:36Speaker 2: the door, and then then it becomes a question of
- 13:38Speaker 2: well is their hope then, and for me, that should
- 13:42Speaker 2: be a good sign. Get yourself in. That increases season
- 13:47Speaker 2: ticket sales the next year, you know, and in a
- 13:50Speaker 2: wild card series, guys, you know this, there's so much
- 13:52Speaker 2: chaos if you line up right with your front end starter.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Anything can happen. I mean, you can see big club
- 14:00Speaker 2: get knockoff just as easily as low small markets.
- 14:06Speaker 4: Mariy, you kind of hit on this a little bit
- 14:07Speaker 4: with cal Rawley. But who are the players other than
- 14:09Speaker 4: show Hey that are getting some deals off the field.
- 14:12Speaker 5: I know cal Rawley is a big one.
- 14:14Speaker 4: You see starting to see schemes a little bit out
- 14:17Speaker 4: there with the Tea mobile and he does the raising canes.
- 14:19Speaker 4: It plays like I swear every commercial break it's Paul
- 14:22Speaker 4: Skeins eating a chicken finger, right. I know there's an
- 14:25Speaker 4: LSU connection there with him. Julio Rodriguez is the Team
- 14:28Speaker 4: Mobile and Adidas guy. But who are some of the
- 14:31Speaker 4: other guys out there that are really making big strides
- 14:34Speaker 4: off the field besides Shohey. Obviously show Hay is on
- 14:37Speaker 4: a different level. But who are the other guys that
- 14:39Speaker 4: really are doing things that are special.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Well, certainly Aaron Judge, I'm sure is doing more than well. Right,
- 14:46Speaker 2: Francisco Lindor, you know you're gonna see guys that you
- 14:49Speaker 2: would expect again here we go, Right, most of these guys,
- 14:53Speaker 2: with the exception of the two Mariner players that you
- 14:55Speaker 2: see listed here, by total volume of sponsorship deals. They're
- 15:00Speaker 2: in larger markets, right, and that would be something that
- 15:03Speaker 2: you would probably expect. They're going to have a lot
- 15:06Speaker 2: more media spotlight. It's surprising to me the number there
- 15:11Speaker 2: that we look at justin Turner, right, and I know
- 15:16Speaker 2: it is always surprising and he is always there. But
- 15:19Speaker 2: again I think that the question becomes then, right, like
- 15:23Speaker 2: how how many deals you know, as opposed to the amounts,
- 15:27Speaker 2: and the amounts are always kind of hard to suss out.
- 15:31Speaker 2: I will say this, I think that the Players Association
- 15:34Speaker 2: has done a better job of trying to go ahead
- 15:38Speaker 2: and you know, have that happen certainly. I mean, guys,
- 15:42Speaker 2: you know this. The agencies are the ones that really
- 15:46Speaker 2: I think helped us a lot. And if you again
- 15:48Speaker 2: you go look at cal Raley, you know, I think
- 15:50Speaker 2: he's a bores client. So you start to get into
- 15:53Speaker 2: stuff like that, that's stuff really largely plays out. And
- 15:58Speaker 2: again I think that ball is moving in a positive direction, right.
- 16:04Speaker 2: I mean, for all of the pain and suffering that
- 16:07Speaker 2: Rob Manfred went through with the implementation of the pitch
- 16:11Speaker 2: clock and the rule changes, once we've gotten past that,
- 16:16Speaker 2: it is a lot crisper and it is pulling in
- 16:19Speaker 2: I think more fringe fans that are then becoming you know,
- 16:23Speaker 2: your core hardcore fans. That's that's what you want. So
- 16:26Speaker 2: attendance was pretty much flat. Television was up, you know again,
- 16:31Speaker 2: Sponsorship money's up. Some of that, of course, is gonna
- 16:34Speaker 2: ebb and flow, depending upon competitiveness. It never hurts, obviously
- 16:39Speaker 2: to have the Dodgers or the Yankees or the Cubs
- 16:42Speaker 2: Red Sox involved in it. But we're starting again to
- 16:45Speaker 2: see you know, Seattle. You know, I don't think they're
- 16:50Speaker 2: going to squander this opportunity this time. Guys. I think
- 16:53Speaker 2: they did when they made the wild card last time.
- 16:55Speaker 2: I think that they felt that maybe they weren't on
- 16:58Speaker 2: the development path, and fully there I would expect them
- 17:02Speaker 2: to try and really continue to move forward and stay
- 17:07Speaker 2: in this window. So I think you're going to continue
- 17:09Speaker 2: to see the likes of you know, Julio, you know again,
- 17:14Speaker 2: cal Raley, if he continues to have that season that
- 17:17Speaker 2: he had again, which of course was extraordinary in and
- 17:20Speaker 2: of itself, whether he's able to repeat it now, I
- 17:22Speaker 2: think he becomes more of a household name, so you know,
- 17:24Speaker 2: look for guys like that.
- 17:27Speaker 6: Cal Rally is actually with Excel Sports, not with boris.
- 17:30Speaker 6: Just to just to clarify, but yeah, where does baseball?
- 17:34Speaker 6: Where does baseball screw this up? Where compared to the
- 17:37Speaker 6: other sports because of how monstrous the NFL is, but
- 17:42Speaker 6: all the players have masks on, you know, the NBA,
- 17:46Speaker 6: there's just less players. Where does baseball? Where can baseball
- 17:50Speaker 6: grow compared to the other sports from a sponsorship standpoint
- 17:54Speaker 6: for each individual player?
- 17:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I think the difficulty is baseball's Does you know
- 18:02Speaker 2: if I if I and this actually happened, right, I
- 18:04Speaker 2: take Lebron James and he's in Cleveland, I take him
- 18:08Speaker 2: to Miami and they win a championship. I have him
- 18:11Speaker 2: go back to Cleveland and they win a championship. You know,
- 18:15Speaker 2: that star player is able to be on the screen
- 18:20Speaker 2: for the duration of a game, right, and they just
- 18:23Speaker 2: have a lot more visibility. Of course, you know, if
- 18:26Speaker 2: you're on the offensive side in baseball, you're up what
- 18:29Speaker 2: every inning and a half, maybe every fourth day if
- 18:31Speaker 2: you're a a front end pitcher. So I think that's
- 18:36Speaker 2: been the problem that we haven't leaned into stars. And
- 18:39Speaker 2: of course you guys mentioned the Angels. I mean here
- 18:41Speaker 2: they had Mike Trout, they had show a Toni and
- 18:44Speaker 2: they couldn't make the postseason. So you know, their ability
- 18:48Speaker 2: to get stars elevated is has largely been I think
- 18:53Speaker 2: the issue, and that, of course, you know, centers around
- 18:56Speaker 2: again the game's design. You just have to be built
- 18:59Speaker 2: with the oster that's solid from front to back, one
- 19:02Speaker 2: through nine. You just have to have that, whereas a
- 19:06Speaker 2: skill player in basketball or football can really move the needle.
- 19:10Speaker 2: I guess the only other thing, and I don't know
- 19:13Speaker 2: how we do this, guys, We're starting to see more
- 19:15Speaker 2: and more of it. But you know, in basketball and football,
- 19:19Speaker 2: college is the theater system, and that gives a lot
- 19:24Speaker 2: of players additional visibility through television. Baseball doesn't have that
- 19:29Speaker 2: for the most part. Right, we have the College World
- 19:31Speaker 2: Series and that's pretty much it, you know, So the
- 19:35Speaker 2: ability to get star players' names as more household is
- 19:40Speaker 2: really going to be largely about opportunity. So again, you know,
- 19:44Speaker 2: I think that it's great that we see, you know,
- 19:47Speaker 2: somebody like Skiings and the Pirates, right, I mean, you're
- 19:49Speaker 2: starting to see the ability of some of these smaller
- 19:52Speaker 2: markets where the clubs haven't performed well. Him being involved
- 19:55Speaker 2: with Team Mobile obviously, Francisco Lindor. You know, you get
- 19:58Speaker 2: guys like that. But again, I think that it really
- 20:01Speaker 2: is going to boil down to trying to be competitive
- 20:05Speaker 2: and being able to be competitive for enough time to
- 20:09Speaker 2: become household names for the clubs. It's a lot easier, guys.
- 20:13Speaker 2: I mean, it's just it's brands. Baseball leads heavily into brands,
- 20:18Speaker 2: where the other sports I think leading into stars. We've had.
- 20:22Speaker 2: We've been very fortunate the last couple of years, certainly
- 20:26Speaker 2: last year with New York and LA where we had Judge,
- 20:30Speaker 2: and we had in certainly Stanton, and we've had shoey
- 20:35Speaker 2: Otani and the star power there. You know, you just
- 20:38Speaker 2: hope that that continues to happen. It's not going to
- 20:40Speaker 2: always happen. That would be bad of course for parody
- 20:43Speaker 2: in general. But again, the ability to elevate stars on
- 20:47Speaker 2: television is going to drive those sponsorship deals for those players.
- 20:52Speaker 4: Well, that's always been one of Baseball's week links, is
- 20:54Speaker 4: trying to develop stars. Mike Trout for years, people complain,
- 20:57Speaker 4: even Aaron Judge, as big as he is, he's out
- 20:59Speaker 4: there a little bit, but he's not. We still have
- 21:01Speaker 4: Ken Griffey Junior running one of the biggest ad campaigns
- 21:03Speaker 4: for a big company like Nike, and he's been retired
- 21:06Speaker 4: for almost twenty years now, so that's always been kind
- 21:09Speaker 4: of one of baseball's big misses and it's a mystery
- 21:11Speaker 4: why they can't figure it out. And I hope they
- 21:14Speaker 4: do at some point, because I think baseball has a
- 21:16Speaker 4: great personality's great stars, and even show hey, I mean
- 21:19Speaker 4: as much as you want show, he is definitely bigger
- 21:21Speaker 4: in Japan as far. I mean, yes, he has his
- 21:23Speaker 4: things obviously in America, but in Japan. I want to
- 21:25Speaker 4: talk about some melse somewhere before we let you go,
- 21:27Speaker 4: because I tweeted about this during the eighteenth inning game
- 21:30Speaker 4: and it was about the music, and I work for Fox,
- 21:32Speaker 4: so obviously I get to I kind of on the inside.
- 21:35Speaker 4: You talked about the music they use, and we always
- 21:38Speaker 4: when we're we don't know what's coming in our ears
- 21:40Speaker 4: when it goes to a break. So when I'm doing
- 21:42Speaker 4: a game, it's always like, oh man, we went this song,
- 21:45Speaker 4: we went this song, and it's such an awesome thing
- 21:48Speaker 4: that in like, especially when I do games with Adam Ameen,
- 21:50Speaker 4: because we're kind of he's more of a music you know, junkie,
- 21:53Speaker 4: nerdy kind of person knows more songs than I do.
- 21:55Speaker 4: But every once in a while he'd be like, Oh,
- 21:57Speaker 4: that's such a cool song from someone I never heard
- 21:59Speaker 4: of or something. Right, So this article you wrote, how
- 22:02Speaker 4: did it come about? And more importantly, like, how do
- 22:05Speaker 4: they pick the song? Because honestly, I know they have
- 22:07Speaker 4: to have license, but I don't really know.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I have always wondered about this. The jump music
- 22:12Speaker 2: that we when we go to commercial is always something
- 22:15Speaker 2: that I've wondered about, and so I did. I reached
- 22:18Speaker 2: out to Fox Sports. I was like, hey, you know,
- 22:20Speaker 2: can I talk to the guy that does this? So
- 22:23Speaker 2: they put me in touch with Joe Carpenter, who does
- 22:25Speaker 2: the World Series this year. And so to your first point, Aja,
- 22:31Speaker 2: it is absolutely all that all of it is licensed, right,
- 22:34Speaker 2: So he has a menu of a few dozen song
- 22:37Speaker 2: clips and he does it largely on the fly. And
- 22:41Speaker 2: now the stuff where we're rolling with graphics like pregame,
- 22:45Speaker 2: that stuff will be worked out in advance, and maybe
- 22:48Speaker 2: on occasion there might be some kind of you know,
- 22:51Speaker 2: promotion deal where that maybe a label's doing that they
- 22:54Speaker 2: might try and work something, and but for the most
- 22:56Speaker 2: part it is completely art. You know, it is personal
- 23:02Speaker 2: and it's largely driven by the moment. So Joe, the
- 23:05Speaker 2: guy that does the World series, he's a big jam
- 23:08Speaker 2: band guy. So this is what struck me. I'm like,
- 23:11Speaker 2: am I hearing Shakedown Street by the Grateful Dead? How
- 23:14Speaker 2: does how does this play in? And you go, well,
- 23:16Speaker 2: shakedown Street? You know something that's going on with the game, uh,
- 23:21Speaker 2: you know. And in the eighteen inning one, the one
- 23:24Speaker 2: that I think that was the most hilarious was the
- 23:27Speaker 2: Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow from and Yes, that's that's
- 23:31Speaker 2: exactly the one I twitted about.
- 23:33Speaker 4: Yes, because they played Tomorrow and I was like, whoever's
- 23:35Speaker 4: picking the music for Fox is crushing it because they
- 23:39Speaker 4: had all these songs and then when they when it
- 23:40Speaker 4: got to midnight, they were like Tomorrow and I was like,
- 23:43Speaker 4: this is amazing.
- 23:44Speaker 5: I love this.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Yeah, they had I think All Night Long by Lionel Richie.
- 23:48Speaker 2: But he's you know, he said Jerry Joseph Widespread Panic,
- 23:53Speaker 2: rival Sons, but there was Aerosmith and Ozzie he would
- 23:56Speaker 2: he is doing off an awful lot around obviously the
- 23:59Speaker 2: markets that are there. So we saw some LA artists,
- 24:04Speaker 2: the big one that I remember and you just couldn't avoid.
- 24:07Speaker 2: It was when they were playing in Toronto and of
- 24:10Speaker 2: course the beginning of Tom Sawyer by Rush, it was
- 24:12Speaker 2: just two perfect Rush Canada Getty Lee behind home plate.
- 24:16Speaker 2: So as I did it because I'm a musician, you know,
- 24:20Speaker 2: that's kind of my side thing. And I've always wondered
- 24:23Speaker 2: about that, right, like how does this happen? And so
- 24:26Speaker 2: now it's like these easter eggs with every single happening
- 24:30Speaker 2: when you're wondering when the team's coming up, what are
- 24:33Speaker 2: we going into. The one that was kind of brutal
- 24:36Speaker 2: at the time, but Joe explained this to me was
- 24:40Speaker 2: in the Alcs and the Mariners are down to their
- 24:43Speaker 2: last happening, right and they played a live by Pearl
- 24:49Speaker 2: jam and I'm like, how are they alive? Well, He's like, well,
- 24:52Speaker 2: it means, you know, this is it. They can be
- 24:55Speaker 2: alive if they do it here. So you know, there's
- 24:58Speaker 2: all these little tie ins, you know, some of them.
- 25:00Speaker 2: I think he knows more personally than others. But yeah,
- 25:04Speaker 2: I think it's a lot of fun. I think that
- 25:06Speaker 2: it makes it more interesting now for fans to listen
- 25:08Speaker 2: to this stuff and try and figure out how it
- 25:10Speaker 2: all ties in again. It just is one more thing
- 25:13Speaker 2: to engage fans with the game.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Well morey, I love the kind of stories you put together. Genuinely,
- 25:19Speaker 1: it's right up our alley for our fans, for us,
- 25:22Speaker 1: So thanks for putting all of that together. Obviously, keep
- 25:25Speaker 1: doing your thing. Thanks for joining us on short notice too.
- 25:27Speaker 1: We saw you put that out there. We're like, oh,
- 25:28Speaker 1: we gotta get more on World Series time, let's talk fits.
- 25:31Speaker 3: So appreciate you joining us. Thanks Maury, great talking to.
- 25:34Speaker 2: You, you bet guys. You have a great day. Take care.
- 25:38Speaker 5: Loves that hat too, jealous? Yeah, what is that the
- 25:41Speaker 5: chiawas what is that? Real?
- 25:42Speaker 2: Quick?
- 25:42Speaker 3: What is that hat? No?
- 25:45Speaker 2: So this is the This would be the Hispanic hat
- 25:49Speaker 2: for the Hillsboro Hops, so yeah, minor league hat. So yeah,
- 25:56Speaker 2: it's it's you know, I love it when they do.
- 25:58Speaker 4: You know how, I don't know how the hills and
- 26:00Speaker 4: Pro Hops have a wolf howling, but I guess.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a wolf, So yeah, I think it's great.
- 26:07Speaker 2: I mean, this is you know, we don't have time
- 26:09Speaker 2: for this, but man, we could go miles on merchandising
- 26:12Speaker 2: and how the game has made money that way. That's
- 26:15Speaker 2: another big way, of course, on the minor league glevel
- 26:17Speaker 2: as well.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Always have the best to All right, well, then Maury
- 26:21Speaker 1: will book in December when when we can definitely use
- 26:24Speaker 1: the content.
- 26:24Speaker 3: We'll talk to you then. Okay, cheers, all right, guys,
- 26:28Speaker 3: take care.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Hey, if you want to take care of yourself, your
- 26:33Speaker 1: body and everything that goes into health, fitness and nutrition,
- 26:37Speaker 1: Superpower provides crats what I would call the pro experience
- 26:42Speaker 1: for the everyday person.
- 26:45Speaker 5: Super easy.
- 26:46Speaker 6: You get your lab test results back and you can
- 26:49Speaker 6: streamline exactly what you're deficient in. You can say, okay,
- 26:53Speaker 6: this is what the results told me. I'm going to
- 26:56Speaker 6: go ahead and maybe look for that in a supplement
- 27:00Speaker 6: which they provide. I'm gonna go ahead and look at
- 27:02Speaker 6: that in my daily workouts which they give so many
- 27:05Speaker 6: different ideas of how to make sure your deficiencies become
- 27:10Speaker 6: some of your superpowers.
- 27:12Speaker 1: Superpower used to cost four ingred ninety nine dollars. Head
- 27:15Speaker 1: to superpower dot com right now to learn more and
- 27:17Speaker 1: lock in the special one hundred and ninety nine.

- 27:27Speaker 1: your Blueprint activated with Superpower.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Whoa World Series upgrade for Hot Corner. I like it.
- 27:44Speaker 1: You can upgrade your seat too in Toronto if you
- 27:47Speaker 1: would like to be in one of those suites.
- 27:51Speaker 3: Bill Shakin wrote about it. You guys know about it.
- 27:54Speaker 5: So I wouldn't do this because it seats like how many.
- 27:57Speaker 3: People in Toronto? By the way, shake it sleeps.
- 28:03Speaker 5: Five people, right?
- 28:04Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 28:05Speaker 5: Okay, so if it's.
- 28:07Speaker 4: Sixty three hundred, that's like fourteen hundred dollars a person, ish, right,
- 28:13Speaker 4: A seat at Toronto in game six and seven is
- 28:15Speaker 4: probably going to be around that. And in a hotel
- 28:18Speaker 4: you can get room service. You ain't got no lines,
- 28:20Speaker 4: you got your own restroom. And does have pretty good
- 28:23Speaker 4: views of this of the field.
- 28:25Speaker 5: Yeah, because I say.
- 28:27Speaker 1: It's not like far out. I mean, what's the comparison.
- 28:31Speaker 1: I was gonna say Wrigly, But that's not that far
- 28:33Speaker 1: out either. It's pretty clear.
- 28:35Speaker 3: These are always like built into the ballpark.
- 28:37Speaker 5: These are on the field. I trust you. We used
- 28:39Speaker 5: to stay there, and we guys used to get these suites. Yeah,
- 28:41Speaker 5: and you used to go in there and look down.
- 28:45Speaker 5: It's pretty awesome.
- 28:46Speaker 3: It's cool, and it's so he said during the World Series.
- 28:48Speaker 1: The nightly rate for these rooms starts at three nine
- 28:52Speaker 1: hundred and ninety nine dollars.
- 28:53Speaker 3: There's a view from someone who doesn't know how to
- 28:54Speaker 3: hold their camera, but.
- 28:56Speaker 5: They were trying to catch the ball.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Oh job, about twenty eight fifty and US dollars.
- 29:06Speaker 5: That's but that's regular season.
- 29:10Speaker 2: And here during the World Series.
- 29:12Speaker 4: Oh, it's only four thousand dollars. Said the one I
- 29:15Speaker 4: saw was sixty three hundred. I thought four thousand dollars
- 29:17Speaker 4: or five five people can sleep in there, dude, let's
- 29:20Speaker 4: see a fight.
- 29:21Speaker 5: We can fly Toronto. Oh that's us.
- 29:24Speaker 3: It's close to three thousand.
- 29:26Speaker 4: Oh wow, sign us up, Mark, Let's go get our flights.
- 29:30Speaker 4: Let's do it FT live from the Rogersoner Hotel. I
- 29:33Speaker 4: get the room. You guys sleep on the floor screen
- 29:34Speaker 4: in the bed. Okay, perfect.
- 29:36Speaker 5: You know where I would have actually liked to watch
- 29:38Speaker 5: the game from. I don't know how well the view
- 29:40Speaker 5: would be from the c N Tower if the roof
- 29:42Speaker 5: is open.
- 29:44Speaker 3: With the p.
- 29:46Speaker 5: I don't know, because I've been catching.
- 29:48Speaker 4: I've been catching, and they have those people that walk
- 29:50Speaker 4: around the outside of that thing, and I've been looking
- 29:53Speaker 4: up there and I'm like, man, I mean I can
- 29:54Speaker 4: see the people.
- 29:56Speaker 3: With binoculars, you can see the game.
- 29:58Speaker 5: I'm sure, yeah, sure. Question was always that.
- 30:01Speaker 4: We always asked this when we looked up at the
- 30:02Speaker 4: sea and tower if it fell, which way do you
- 30:04Speaker 4: run if it's falling on the sky like if it ever.
- 30:06Speaker 5: Got I mean, hopefully never happened, God forbid it, we all,
- 30:09Speaker 5: but you know that was always our course. Just during
- 30:12Speaker 5: the game. We don't, I don't, we don't.
- 30:13Speaker 4: When the roof was over, we looked up there and
- 30:14Speaker 4: be like, if that thing starts falling, do you run
- 30:17Speaker 4: to the outfield or do you run under the tunnel?
- 30:18Speaker 5: Like? Which way do you go?
- 30:20Speaker 4: Because it's right there, like the Rogers Center and then
- 30:24Speaker 4: the sea in towers like right here and it and
- 30:26Speaker 4: there's people up there on the doing the skywalk thing.
- 30:29Speaker 1: I stand completely still because it's going to fall somewhere else.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Not right, I take the pitch right down the middle.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Wait.
- 30:36Speaker 1: But for people that want to know, like oh and
- 30:39Speaker 1: I see you know kershan o'tani to chatting.
- 30:42Speaker 5: And the doves, we talk about everything.
- 30:44Speaker 1: You think they're just talking about the next day b sometimes,
- 30:47Speaker 1: but most of the.
- 30:48Speaker 5: Time we're talking about ever anything and everything.
- 30:52Speaker 6: You can think about everything anything in I would always
- 30:57Speaker 6: every stadium especially maybe think of it as city field.
- 31:00Speaker 6: What if a plane came into the field. You see
- 31:02Speaker 6: it coming, which way do you go? Do you go
- 31:05Speaker 6: back deeper into the stadium so that you're in a bunker.
- 31:09Speaker 6: Do you run out onto the field and hope it
- 31:11Speaker 6: hits the bleachers? It's the thought process got a lot
- 31:16Speaker 6: of time.
- 31:17Speaker 5: I hate to be some morbid, but yeah, it's just
- 31:19Speaker 5: what we talk about. We talk about all kinds of
- 31:20Speaker 5: crazy stuff.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Mm hm.
- 31:22Speaker 1: A couple other details. There's fifty five of those rooms.
- 31:25Speaker 1: We're not getting paid to promote this, we're just telling
- 31:26Speaker 1: you about it.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Uh.
- 31:28Speaker 4: And the earlier hopefully they've renovated since last time I
- 31:32Speaker 4: was there, it was a while they were.
- 31:35Speaker 3: I think they have.
- 31:35Speaker 5: I think there are two stories too. I thought there
- 31:37Speaker 5: some of them were two stories you could even have.
- 31:39Speaker 5: That's not all of them.
- 31:41Speaker 6: Not all of them were though. I thought those are.
- 31:44Speaker 6: There are options. There's suites and then there's just regular rooms.
- 31:46Speaker 6: And they when I played there in fourteen, that's the
- 31:49Speaker 6: only time I ever stayed there, they were like the
- 31:51Speaker 6: basic place. I mean, it was a sliding door closet,
- 31:55Speaker 6: a bathroom, a bed and some carpet, and they were
- 31:59Speaker 6: they were pretty bad.
- 32:00Speaker 5: Bruh.
- 32:02Speaker 1: In March, that was what we showed you the clip
- 32:05Speaker 1: of someone getting a baseball from Colton Kazer chuck them
- 32:09Speaker 1: at baseball. We also have a little clip of some
- 32:13Speaker 1: people enjoying their suite.
- 32:18Speaker 8: So six the Jays are on the road for three games.
- 32:21Speaker 8: The Rogers Center is hosting watch parties on their video
- 32:24Speaker 8: board for people to come into the stadium and watch
- 32:26Speaker 8: them play, pretty similar to coming here for a regular game.
- 32:29Speaker 8: You're just watching it on the video board round and
- 32:31Speaker 8: seeing the players actually play.
- 32:33Speaker 3: Here's the most important things.
- 32:35Speaker 6: Fifteen dollars. They all go through Day's care and every
- 32:37Speaker 6: ticket holder gets a free small pop pornt two, so
- 32:40Speaker 6: we're getting a lot of value and a lot of
- 32:42Speaker 6: great vibes.
- 32:43Speaker 8: It truly feels like a real game day here. All
- 32:46Speaker 8: the concessions are open, they got them, merch them. You
- 32:48Speaker 8: can grab a Glizzie and sit in your seat and
- 32:51Speaker 8: all that for fifteen bucks, which is not something you
- 32:53Speaker 8: can really ever do in the Rodgers Hunter.
- 32:55Speaker 4: It's amazing, but tickets are affordable, so all the real
- 32:57Speaker 4: fans are here.
- 32:58Speaker 3: This is the best watch party it's been to way
- 33:00Speaker 3: better than a sports bar.
- 33:01Speaker 8: It's been amazing.
- 33:02Speaker 5: It's been so fun.
- 33:03Speaker 3: The energy is absolutely electric.
- 33:06Speaker 8: We've done like GA tickets, we've done some of the
- 33:08Speaker 8: club house tickets, so the atmosphere here it's pretty comparable.
- 33:12Speaker 5: It's a lot of fun.
- 33:14Speaker 1: That's really cool. And I butchered hot to see the
- 33:16Speaker 1: intro there. We're talking about the watch parties. We moved
- 33:19Speaker 1: on from the suites.
- 33:20Speaker 5: I love that.
- 33:21Speaker 3: Yeah, that's fun. I mean they're not the only ones that.
- 33:23Speaker 5: Do it, but no, but does they do it? Really?
- 33:25Speaker 4: A lot of more people than normally are at those things.
- 33:27Speaker 4: And fifteen dollars for ticket and a popcorn that's pretty good.
- 33:31Speaker 4: And then you get to hang out with all the
- 33:32Speaker 4: people and then celebrate when they win, especially when they
- 33:34Speaker 4: win it's got to be all an eighteen any game.
- 33:36Speaker 5: But think about it.
- 33:37Speaker 4: What so the Blue Jays by doing this, Yes, they
- 33:39Speaker 4: get the money and all that money goes to jay'scare,
- 33:41Speaker 4: but they still get the concessions, they still get the
- 33:45Speaker 4: the merch that people are buying because everyone's going to
- 33:47Speaker 4: buy a T shirt or jersey or whatever it is.
- 33:49Speaker 3: This is super smart, but for the fan experience, I
- 33:52Speaker 3: mean most ballparks have tours, and it's at least that price,
- 33:55Speaker 3: if not more.
- 33:56Speaker 8: So.
- 33:56Speaker 4: You think they actually you think they have the Jays
- 33:59Speaker 4: girls that are singing Let's go Blue Let's.
- 34:02Speaker 3: They have everybody there in the stadium, right. You saw
- 34:06Speaker 3: them dancing on the dugout with.
- 34:09Speaker 6: What You've got a homer Jay, You got a jingle
- 34:13Speaker 6: that one every one wins. Okay, Blue Jays, Let's play ball.
- 34:24Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 34:25Speaker 3: Sounds like someone that's heard that a few times.
- 34:27Speaker 5: I heard that song a lot of times.
- 34:28Speaker 4: What's isn't It isn't the mascot's name Jay, the Blue
- 34:31Speaker 4: Jay is his name Jay.
- 34:33Speaker 6: In rookie in rookie ball, because they have Jay in
- 34:35Speaker 6: the big leagues and rookie ball. We had I don't
- 34:38Speaker 6: even know the appropriate word to say, but in medicine
- 34:41Speaker 6: Hat we had Blue Jay's uniforms. We were the medicine
- 34:44Speaker 6: Hat Blue Jays, and so we had old uniforms. I
- 34:47Speaker 6: wore David Wells's uniform and they had J. Jay was
- 34:53Speaker 6: a much shorter person but the same size head as
- 34:59Speaker 6: j the mascot.
- 35:02Speaker 5: I don't know what the.
- 35:02Speaker 4: Junior Jay, little j he was literally.
- 35:09Speaker 5: You buried the lead the point of that whole story
- 35:12Speaker 5: was besides that, you were David Wells's uniform? Like how
- 35:16Speaker 5: fat were you? Just fit?
- 35:21Speaker 6: What fits? Extra extra? You just put some extra loops
- 35:25Speaker 6: in your belt.
- 35:26Speaker 5: That's all.
- 35:29Speaker 3: Uniform has been through it.
- 35:32Speaker 4: Oh hey, one of how old was that uniform? Because
- 35:35Speaker 4: David Wells was not exactly on the Blue Jays recently?
- 35:38Speaker 5: No, I mean I didn't I put there. Sure wasn't
- 35:43Speaker 5: Vernon Wells.
- 35:45Speaker 6: I'm positive because it was the only pair of pants
- 35:47Speaker 6: that fit in my butt.
- 35:50Speaker 5: When did David Wells play for the Blue Jay? Oh
- 35:54Speaker 5: so it's like three years old? Okay, that's fair.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Yeah, last part here to go back to this sweets
- 36:00Speaker 1: for a moment. It's a question that does get asked.
- 36:03Speaker 5: Ace.
- 36:03Speaker 4: Ace is his name? Dang it, it's not Jay, it's Ace.
- 36:06Speaker 4: Thank you pro Dominico now and.
- 36:11Speaker 5: A dang it.
- 36:14Speaker 3: Last part here.
- 36:15Speaker 1: If you're watching from the Sweets and there's funny business,
- 36:19Speaker 1: Apparently they have curtains where they can close it.
- 36:21Speaker 3: Really, that's what I've heard.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Because otherwise things can get messy. Really, that's what I heard, right,
- 36:29Speaker 1: But do you have you heard that too? Kratz that they.
- 36:32Speaker 5: Have never heard that part?
- 36:33Speaker 3: Now that they can block out.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Now, we'll think about it. It makes sense in today's world.
- 36:38Speaker 1: I'll give you a dark scenario.
- 36:41Speaker 5: So, yes, you don't even have to go there. Yes,
- 36:43Speaker 5: but I'm.
- 36:44Speaker 1: Saying, like behind home plate you can do promos. There
- 36:47Speaker 1: are big businesses that can do promos themselves that would
- 36:51Speaker 1: be questionable for.
- 36:54Speaker 3: The audience, so they can just go. Now, you don't
- 36:58Speaker 3: get to watch.
- 36:58Speaker 6: Inappropriate okay, Blue Jays, don't look up at the hotel.
- 37:08Speaker 2: All right.
- 37:09Speaker 1: So that was our little fun sag on some perks
- 37:12Speaker 1: of what you can do up in Toronto, whether you
- 37:14Speaker 1: want to watch the game or a watch party.
