- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities, CEOs and even royalty, Adam Cox.
- 0:20These recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's
- 0:24world famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39Hi Adam here. And in this hypnosis session,
- 0:43you're actually going to be listening to a hypnosis session
- 0:46that was recorded for other hypnotherapists.
- 0:49There. Was a talk that I recently did
- 0:52in preparation for my talk at the UK Hypnosis Convention on
- 0:56nested loops. And the traditional way that
- 1:00hypnotherapists are taught nested loops is you start with
- 1:03one story, you open a loop. So unfinished business, then you
- 1:06start a new story and then you have an open loop there and then
- 1:11another story. And what I found is that when I
- 1:14created a hypnosis session based on the movie Inception, I found
- 1:18a more simple way of having the structure of nested loops,
- 1:21rather than linguistically it was visually based on levels of
- 1:25disassociation. So what you're going to hear in
- 1:28this hypnosis session is me asking for random things from
- 1:31the hypnotherapist that I was working with and then building a
- 1:35hypnotherapy session on the fly based on those different
- 1:40locations. And the reason I do different
- 1:43locations is that just like the movie Inception, when you've got
- 1:46different places, it becomes. Easier to.
- 1:48Follow where you. Are.
- 1:50In the actual story, in the hypnosis, it's good to have
- 1:54different levels of disassociation in different
- 1:57places. So if you like nested loops or
- 2:00if you like stories within stories, I think you'll get some
- 2:02value of that. I'm also going to include.
- 2:05The. Hypnotherapist telling me the
- 2:07kind of places that they wanted me to feature in this hypnosis
- 2:10session. Just so that you can see it
- 2:12wasn't pre scripted and it was kind of done generatively and
- 2:16intuitively on the flying. So let me know in the comments
- 2:19if you like this kind of stuff and enjoy the session. 8 so.
- 2:26We get to do a longer. Demo now because I I was rushing
- 2:29through some of this. And.
- 2:31This is where I need your help because I'm going to do it in
- 2:36real time. Based on whatever.
- 2:39You say so you know, it's not kind of premeditated and pre
- 2:43planned and that kind of stuff. So we're going to start with a
- 2:48place in nature so you can take yourself off from you and just
- 2:51and, and by the way, the more specific or random it is.
- 2:55The better if you just say a beach.
- 2:57Is a bit too bland and I've done loads of beaches, so if it's a
- 2:59place in nature that could be quite specific that's that's
- 3:01helpful. For me, Adam, it's in a forest.
- 3:11With a waterfall. Like lots of big rocks around
- 3:16and trees. Lot of trees overhanging.
- 3:20Yeah. Love that.
- 3:21Forest and waterfall. Now we want to go from nature to
- 3:26something that is not nature. So let's think of a famous
- 3:30building. Oh, hi, Jacqueline.
- 3:38By the way, if you could think of a famous building, now's the
- 3:41time to to share it. If no one else is going, Sydney
- 3:50Opera House. Sydney, you know that building
- 3:53What? Would that be?
- 3:57That be. I was say hi, hi.
- 4:01I was thinking about the the building in all the love movies
- 4:05where they have dinner on top of the building and there is all
- 4:08the hearts Empire State Building I think.
- 4:13Empire State Building. Empire State Building I think.
- 4:16OK. Yeah, it's in all the romantic
- 4:19movies. They have the there on top of
- 4:21the building. OK, Sydney Opera House.
- 4:26And. For the sake of making it more
- 4:28complex for me, let's also add Empire State.
- 4:31Building OK and now a time in history because the
- 4:44environmental shift doesn't let's.
- 4:47Go with medieval. Medieval.
- 4:49Medieval. Love that.
- 4:50OK, so if we had the Empire State Building in medieval
- 4:57England, that's going to be pretty absurd.
- 4:58It helps us to remember it. OK, A type of transport.
- 5:08Well, in the medieval age, we don't have lots of options.
- 5:12Well, we don't limit it. The the imagination is is
- 5:15limitless be so we can have a a space rocket, you know, in the
- 5:19mediaeval time, like why not? So what?
- 5:21What's the form of transport that we can just have?
- 5:27I was going to say a helicopter, but I don't know.
- 5:31Why you've said it, That's what it is, helicopter.
- 5:34And then finally. A.
- 5:37Fictional place, So a place that.
- 5:39Definitely doesn't exist. But people know it, so I'll I'll
- 5:50share some ones I've had before. Harry Potter universe, Hogwarts
- 5:54and the lost city of Atlantis. But you can't have those two
- 5:57because I've done them before. So a fictional place.
- 6:00So Wonderland of Alice. Alice in Wonderland.
- 6:03Like it? So Alice's Wonderland.
- 6:13OK now because. Of the nature.
- 6:16Of what I do. I never do.
- 6:20Any kind of hypnosis without recording it so I can cheekily
- 6:23turn it into a podcast episode. So what I'm going to do is get
- 6:27my audio editing ready here so that I can do it for you guys,
- 6:36but also have an episode as well.
- 6:40So track. New stereo track.
- 6:44OK, so you're going to start hearing some nice relaxing
- 6:50music. In fact, I don't know.
- 6:52How so? What?
- 6:54I'm going to do is I'm going to stop sharing because we don't
- 6:56need this. I'm going to see you all on
- 6:59screen and then I'm going to put it music mode.
- 7:05So if you start making yourself comfortable, you're going to
- 7:08start hearing my. My nurse.
- 7:11Relaxing music very. Soon
- 7:34take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in that
- 7:43resourceful feeling of calm and relaxation, and as you exhale,
- 7:52feel a wonderful feeling of release, as if any tension,
- 7:59stress and worries are starting to leave your body.
- 8:04As you breathe out, become aware of your environment, the
- 8:12temperature in the room, the feeling of your clothes on your
- 8:17skin, and become aware of the speed of your own breathing,
- 8:25breathing in relaxation and exhaling tension.
- 8:33And I wonder if you could imagine what it would be like to
- 8:38allow your physical body to stay where it is, and your
- 8:42imagination to float up out of your body.
- 8:48And just imagine that your imagination is on a quest to
- 8:53find a magnificent forest with a picturesque waterfall.
- 9:02Imagine floating up and gliding, flying over cities and oceans
- 9:09until you find that forest. And just imagine you find the
- 9:14place in the forest where there is that waterfall cascading into
- 9:22a pool. And I want you to get a sense
- 9:27that this is no ordinary waterfall.
- 9:32This is a waterfall that has healing properties in the water
- 9:40and you have a desire to bathe in the pool of water under that
- 9:49magical waterfall, but not yet because something catches your
- 9:56attention. I want you to imagine seeing a
- 10:03hole in the ground with a fireman's pole connected, and
- 10:11this is confusing. Why would there be this strange
- 10:20pole going into a hole there in the forest by a waterfall?
- 10:29But I want you to unlock courage and curiosity.
- 10:34And as you imagine sliding down the fireman's pole, you find
- 10:40yourself bizarrely in the city of Sydney, close to the Sydney
- 10:47Opera House. See the iconic architecture,
- 10:55imagine the sunshine of the Australian sun on your skin.
- 11:01And I want you to get a feeling, a wonderful feeling that the sun
- 11:07is melting away any tension, that you are feeling more and
- 11:12more comfortable, more and more relaxed there under that
- 11:20Australian sun. And I want you to make your way
- 11:26into the Opera House. Imagine it's empty.
- 11:32And I want you to imagine seeing the stage.
- 11:37And on the stage, I want you to imagine a locked box.
- 11:47And you don't need to know what's in the locked box, only
- 11:50that it has something valuable and useful for you.
- 11:59I want you to imagine next to the locked box is an elevator.
- 12:08And I want you to imagine that you press the button for the
- 12:10elevator and the elevator opens. And as you go into the elevator,
- 12:19I want you to imagine seeing hundreds of numbers and you hit
- 12:25the top floor, feel the elevator rising.
- 12:34But when the elevator opens, imagine your surprise as you
- 12:40leave the elevator up to the top floor of the Empire State
- 12:46Building. I want you to imagine the
- 12:50incredible views over New York City, having a sense of just a
- 12:57sense of opportunity. And I want you to imagine a
- 13:05glowing ball of energy there, nearby the windows that overlook
- 13:15New York. And next to the ball of energy
- 13:22is a portal like a wormhole. As I countdown from 5 to 1, you
- 13:29will imagine going through the wormhole to a different point in
- 13:35time 5. Approaching the wormhole 4.
- 13:43Walking into the wormhole 321 and imagine coming out of this 4
- 13:52dimensional wormhole in medieval England.
- 13:59And you know it's that way because there are people walking
- 14:05around old cottages. The clothing gives you a clue
- 14:12that you're not living in modern times.
- 14:17I want you to get a sense then here.
- 14:20All of your knowledge, all of your experience would seem like
- 14:25magic to the people living in that time.
- 14:31Your knowledge of the world would make you one of the most
- 14:35brilliant thinkers and scientists that's ever lived as
- 14:40you come to the conclusion that in the Kingdom of the blind, the
- 14:47one eyed man is king. And your knowledge, your
- 14:52experience and your skills at a different point in history would
- 14:59feel like a superpower to those people that did not have your
- 15:04knowledge, like Da Vinci living in the Renaissance ahead of
- 15:12their time. And I want you to imagine
- 15:18they're in medieval England describing to a local what a
- 15:25helicopter is, that a contraption with propellers
- 15:32spinning at a certain velocity could enable someone to lift up
- 15:38from the ground and fly. And as you imagine explaining
- 15:45the nature of a helicopter, I want you to feel that thoughts
- 15:51can become things. And exactly as you describe the
- 15:55helicopter, you create the helicopter that you are
- 16:03manifesting this helicopter. And I want you to imagine that
- 16:09this helicopter invites you in. You go there into the cockpit
- 16:19and take off. And I want you to imagine going
- 16:24through, through the sky over the villages, seeing in
- 16:31amazement the astonishment of people that have never seen such
- 16:36a thing. But as you fly in the
- 16:44helicopter, you fly forwards in time to Victorian England, next
- 16:53to a large stately home. And as you leave the helicopter,
- 17:01I want you to imagine seeing a rabbit that seems to be in a
- 17:12rush. Imagine this rabbit wearing a
- 17:16hat and you follow the rabbit until it jumps down into a
- 17:23rabbit hole. And imagine how you would feel
- 17:28to follow the rabbit down the hole and enter a wonderful world
- 17:37called Wonderland. And I want you to imagine seeing
- 17:46something in Wonderland that is confusing a food simply labeled
- 17:55Eat me. And I want you to come to the
- 18:00conclusion that this is not just food.
- 18:04This gives you a powerful, profound new way of thinking
- 18:14about something that directly affects your life.
- 18:21Maybe it's an idea. Maybe it's a new perspective.
- 18:26Maybe it's a new ambition, but imagine eating that thing that
- 18:32says Eat me and feeling a sense that either now or soon, through
- 18:39an epiphany, this realization, this resource will soon come to
- 18:48you. So you can leave Wonderland with
- 18:53a sense that you are elevated, with a new level of thinking
- 18:57when you arrived. Imagine leaving up through the
- 19:03same rabbit hole and seeing a helicopter.
- 19:12But I want you to imagine that the helicopter comes with it, a
- 19:23new perspective. From the perspective of a
- 19:26helicopter, you see everything from above.
- 19:30And I want you to imagine as you fly back to medieval England in
- 19:34the helicopter, you do so with a new perspective on your own
- 19:41life. Like you're seeing your life
- 19:43from above, your timeline beneath you, with new insight on
- 19:50a new decision or a new standard that can shift your life in
- 19:55wonderful new directions. As you land in medieval England,
- 20:03I want you to get a sense that the locals there are astonished.
- 20:09You seem like a magician. And because you seem like a
- 20:12magician, allow yourself to amplify all the things you do
- 20:18for others that are indeed magical.
- 20:22You change lives. You are already a wizard.
- 20:28And allow that magic. Part of you.
- 20:32To be amplified. And I want you to get a feeling
- 20:39as to what it would be like to find yourself going all the way
- 20:49back to the Empire State Building through the wormhole in
- 20:55reverse. As you walk through the
- 20:58wormhole, you find yourself on the top floor of the Empire
- 21:02State Building. And all this time there was a
- 21:06glowing ball of energy. This is a resource that will
- 21:13enhance the quality of your life.
- 21:16Imagine taking that ball of energy, placing it to your
- 21:20chest, and absorbing that resource may be a new resource
- 21:25or reactivating a resource from your past that you've lost
- 21:29connection with. Harness that resource and feel
- 21:37feel more resourceful as you press the button of an elevator
- 21:44and this elevator takes you down all the way down to the stage of
- 21:55the Sydney Opera House. When you leave the elevator, you
- 21:59remember there's been a locked box here all this time.
- 22:06I want you to get a feeling that this locked box contains
- 22:14something that your future needs to know.
- 22:21As you open the lock box, imagine there is a sealed
- 22:24envelope and at some point in the future, through a thought, a
- 22:31Daydream or even a dream, when you sleep, your imagination will
- 22:37open the sealed envelope and it will be revealed to you
- 22:43something your future self needs to know.
- 22:50And then you leave the Sydney Opera House and there in Sydney
- 22:54you see a fireman's pole, maybe brightly coloured.
- 23:01You climb the fireman's pole upwards and upwards until you
- 23:05find yourself clambering out of a hole in the ground in a
- 23:10forest. And by that forest is a
- 23:15waterfall. And that waterfall contains
- 23:20healing properties. And I want your unconscious to
- 23:25let you know of something that still needs to be healed.
- 23:29And as you bathe in the water and feel, feel that healing
- 23:36properties of the water, feel that that part of you is indeed
- 23:40being healed. When the healing takes place, or
- 23:48at least starts, you can leave the pool, feel the cascading
- 23:54water on your skin, and allow yourself to start to float back
- 24:02to reality. But you will float back to
- 24:06reality knowing that this has just been a journey within your
- 24:13imagination, a journey of thoughts within thoughts, ideas
- 24:19within ideas, and dreams within dreams.
- 24:24So take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 24:30nose. Wiggle your fingers, wiggle your
- 24:33toes, connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I now
- 24:37count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 24:42Starting to count 123 Waking up 456.
- 24:47More alert 7-8 Open your eyes. Open your eyes 910.
- 24:52Wide awake, Wide awake. Wide awake.
